- 0:00[SPEAKER_03]: Happy Tuesday and welcome live to the Big Play Cleveland Show Jack O'Rourke alongside Jeff Sey and Max Loeb coming to us all the way from Cleveland, Ohio Rock and the Vest Max The Victory Vest.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_01]: victory vest victory vest.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go with that.
- 0:14[SPEAKER_03]: How about at the guards wins seven to three in game one over the race in the ALCS just three wins away now from the world series one way to look at it is You got to win three out of six and three of them are at home against one of the best teams in baseball Chef say you're sitting in studio.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_03]: So we'll go to you first.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure you watch that game last night.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_03]: What do you think?
- 0:34[SPEAKER_00]: You know what?
- 0:34[SPEAKER_00]: I think that the best player on your team is being the best player on team in more fastest than just one.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it starts back all the way to the close out games fire me up.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_00]: Say, right.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_00]: I said in this exact spot and said, man, Jose's got to be the guy, right?
- 0:51[SPEAKER_00]: He's got to be the superstar that we know he can be.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_00]: Give him a kiss to the city.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_00]: And guess what he did?
- 0:56[SPEAKER_00]: He came out here.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_00]: and not only did he deliver with the bad, not only does he deliver with the glove, he's delivering with contagious energy, arguing with Chicago fans, and then coming in and basically doing the same tempos on like a damn home game didn't it?
- 1:11[SPEAKER_00]: It was actually unbelievable what we were hearing, but it always being led by the best player on your team.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_00]: And when you need a
- 1:20[SPEAKER_00]: God dang it, Jose Ramirez comes through.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_00]: So shout out to Jose, and obviously we got to get some love to do the water as well.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, beautiful.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_03]: There's your Max, you.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, how about that snag?
- 1:30[SPEAKER_03]: You see that one coming?
- 1:30[SPEAKER_03]: I need you.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, how about that?
- 1:32[SPEAKER_03]: Give me, give me out there instead of bond.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_03]: We'll get to that at 1230.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, anyways, Max, you put out the funny videos, or not, funny you.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, that, you put a video on under the land this morning about the crowd reaction down there.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_03]: I think it was after the low hit, right?
- 1:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that was the, that was the first of two.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_01]: It was that and then it was it leaves Joe Adele the the ninth inning to run single, um, but yeah, like it sounded like a home game.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_01]: You said it's a sounded like a home game.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_01]: Crowd pops like that shouldn't happen on the road.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_01]: The raise where I looked it up.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was 55 and 26 at home this season.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_01]: You could say, oh, like, oh, Cleveland people go retire and Florida, whatever.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_01]: you want to talk about home field advantage they did it in the regular season all of a sudden playoffs roll around and it's just one game you don't want to overreact too much but it was clear to see there was a heavy Cleveland presence in the stadium and I think when you're looking for little edges in a series especially when you don't have home field advantage and you can take it back
- 2:27[SPEAKER_01]: that's a pretty important one.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_01]: I was honestly just impressed.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_01]: Like I know there's some people who I know of down there at the game.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_01]: It looked incredible and I could hear it through a TV screen.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_01]: Like you could hear a crowd pop on the road.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_01]: That's crazy.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_01]: That doesn't happen.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_03]: So we talked about Jose Ramirez already and I'm sure we'll keep on singing his praises throughout the show today.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_03]: He was excellent.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_03]: Zay, you harped on it for a second there, chased a lot or damn your head for a cycle.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_03]: In game one of the ALCS, he was awesome.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_03]: And his home run like just the way he ripped that out like that.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_03]: Not everyone can do that in the sport of baseball.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_03]: Hey.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_03]: you probably know that going in but like if they're you needed a guy to step up and play at that level right behind Jose Ramirez in the lineup right like they said it on the broadcast last night when Jose ended up getting that a bat when they were afraid to walk Jose to bring up chased a lot or it seems like it's the first time forever in Cleveland really that chased a lot or sorry that Jose Ramirez has been protected in the batting order so having to lotter come up as huge but guys let's talk about the guys that came over at the trade deadline.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_03]: That's the one where I think it's just so crazy looking at the production across the board, right?
- 3:29[SPEAKER_03]: ZAU came in and asked how much does this raise the team ceiling after all these big trades at the deadline.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_03]: Patrick Bailey obviously didn't come in August, he came over earlier in the year.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_03]: He hits the big home run to type the game and I believe it was the seventh, right?
- 3:39[SPEAKER_03]: Joe Adele has the two RBI's there at the end to kind of just totally ice-to-cake.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_03]: Nathaniel Low, who it seems like he's been hitting the ball hard all playoffs long, just right at people.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_03]: Finally, one gets down for him right up the middle.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_03]: Scores the two runs, gives you the two run, lead absolutely massive.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_03]: His biggest hit since coming over to Cleveland for sure.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_03]: And then Foster Griffin starts out to game obviously he had a very shaky first inning, but got out of it, limiting the damage to two runs and from there your good cancello in a spino.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_03]: We're awesome.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_03]: You turn it over to the
- 4:08[SPEAKER_03]: Say, you asked about it, but I want to ask you about this now because I think you love whenever Andrew Barry's aggressive.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_03]: What does it mean that Chris Antsnetty and the front office folks went out there and made moves there now showing up in this kind of game?
- 4:18[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I guess when you're winning, it kind of feels a little bit different, right?
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: Because just a few weeks ago, you were checked out on the guards.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_00]: And it felt like everything, it wasn't enough.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I'm the best reverse jinxer of all time.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 4:30[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, you went out and made these moves.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_00]: I guess what it's so wasn't enough.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: You lose to the side of that.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, that's where the mindset was.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_00]: So the fact that we're winning, and these guys are contributing now, obviously it feels great that they went out there and did it.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_00]: But I think it goes.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_00]: I think a lot of credit really needs to go to Jose though right now because Jose is the engine that is really making the other players like it's almost like the LeBron effect in a sense where when LeBron is on a roster he makes everyone around them better.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_00]: Jose these the past month has made everyone around them better and now guys can start to play a little bit more freely knowing that hey our best player is not only bringing it only offensive bat side but he's bringing
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: I've got everyone up like it that gets me going so I think a lot of the credit needs to go there, but damm Can we make another move now?
- 5:22[SPEAKER_00]: Matter of fact, we're not going to talk.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: We need to talk next year.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: Let's just stay here.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we got we got all winter talk about that with the guards We still got some games to play Max.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_03]: We talked about it a bit on yesterday's show before you joined, but
- 5:34[SPEAKER_03]: The way baseball sets up their playoff format, the two, three, two, it's strange because you don't see that in hockey or basketball, the two other sports that have the seven game format.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_03]: So when you come out, not only just winning one of two on the road, you've got another chance tonight with Parker Massacre who is probably
- 5:49[SPEAKER_03]: your second most consistent pitcher all year long including the playoffs behind Gavin Williams against Freddie Perlta who wasn't all star pitcher from a walkie and he had a very solid start against the Yankees but he's not exactly what he was the last couple of years not saying he's out to past year but not exactly the ace caliber arm that Parker Massick might be right now.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_03]: How much does winning game one just change how you can calm down for this team right now because now it's like we said earlier on the show you got six chances to win three games and three
- 6:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think the series format almost magnifies the home field advantage because let's say, if the guards lose tonight, it's one to one going back to Cleveland.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_01]: You still have three straight home games where your home field advantage is present in a potential clinching game for you.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_01]: So I think having three, four, five at home and Cleveland.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, the series could go five, six, even seven games.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_01]: Like we don't know yet, but I think that series format plays in the Guardians hand a little bit more winning game one or even just one of the first two games.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_01]: I think honestly winning game two and going back home, one one may have been even better, but you still win game one.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_01]: You can go up to a.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_01]: back home.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that's really important.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: But I also think the the comfort ability of this team understanding what they did in Chicago and backed back games with their backs against the wall game five a prime prime prime let down spot against Chicago.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_01]: They show up right Jose Ramirez homerun.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_01]: They win.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_01]: It feels like their backs have been against the wall really all season long, dating back to probably July.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like July we really started to press the panic button with the deadline coming up and all they've done is respond.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_01]: So, yes, I think this should provide more comfortability for the guards, but I also don't know if that's going to seep into the locker room at all.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_01]: Like I think they understand
- 7:37[SPEAKER_01]: Our backs have been against the wall this whole season.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_01]: We don't want to act any different.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_01]: Let's play like our lives depend on it.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_01]: I think in game one they did.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_01]: I'm fascinated to see what happens again in game two.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: Jack one question for you.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: I bring that one word up every week.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: Dare I say is the guardian magic in the air right now.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: Do you feel it yet or not yet?
- 7:56[SPEAKER_03]: No, I think you have to at this point because it's you get Jose Ramirez going that changes everything you mentioned earlier.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_03]: He's the straw that serves the drink, but the important thing that I think happens every single time we get to October and something that's harped on by pretty much almost all the fan base throughout every single season is.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_03]: Is it truly enough to have elite pitching and hose their mirrors and go and win?
- 8:16[SPEAKER_03]: And that's been the age-old question, the how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie popper, whatever that old commercial is, right?
- 8:23[SPEAKER_03]: That he was trying to think of your whole entire life.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_03]: Is it ever going to happen?
- 8:27[SPEAKER_03]: Now we don't have to think about it, though.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_03]: That's the interesting thing with this Guardian's team is, this is the deepest we've ever seen them in the playoffs in terms of hitting.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_03]: Like that's why I was so concerned when they went down O2, is that no one was really going at the time.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_03]: But like, look at last sense,
- 8:40[SPEAKER_03]: obviously you get three hits from Jose that's going to change things.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_03]: Trace a lot of right behind him three hits that's massive but then you go down Nathaniel low as in two hits and I think he also or no he didn't walk yesterday but he's been walking a lot throughout the playoffs uh it's just an overall consistent effort like when you're getting 14 hits Patrick Bailey two hits including the home run also like when it's coming from across the order I think it's yeah seven of the nine starters here ended up getting a hit that just changes everything man and I do wonder though
- 9:06[SPEAKER_03]: If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_03]: You've won four in a row, not to that stop them from putting P.D.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_03]: Helpin into the starting lineup for Game 5 at the ALDS.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_03]: I do wonder if Onhell Hanna gets a chance here soon over Brian Rokio at shortstop.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_03]: I think that might be a possible movie could see here because Rokio is a bad suggestion plain ugly to this point so far in the playoffs.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_03]: We all love Brian Rokio and know that the playoff magic is in their somewhere, but
- 9:27[SPEAKER_03]: Now came in against Chicago and game three.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_03]: I want to say it wasn't a big hit off the bench.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_03]: He made all three outs in the ninth inning last night.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_03]: So I'd be interested to see if maybe that's a move that the Guardian's go to.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_03]: Would you guys consider doing that or are you guys more in the boat of like, hey, if you win last night, you put up a boat loader, it's been what?
- 9:43[SPEAKER_03]: Three of the last four games you put up at least seven runs.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe don't make a move right now.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like if it ain't broke, don't fix it as the the
- 9:51[SPEAKER_01]: easier way to look at it.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_01]: But I also don't think Steam vote is scared to make moves like that.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_01]: I also think that just because you're playing well doesn't mean you can't play better.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_01]: And one of the things I was reflecting on this morning, like yes, guard scores seven last night, they've been offensively way better the past four games and really passed like month or so.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if we're going to see another game with 10 combined runs.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_01]: Like I think the reality with this series is it could be lower scoring moving forward.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_01]: So every at that, every bat player matters.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_01]: And if they feel like it's, it's, it's not the Rokio show anymore.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_01]: It's probably time move off.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_01]: But at the same time, like you look at a guy who's been there before and and made.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_01]: big plays when it's mattered most in August, September, he still has that within him and he's struggling now obviously, but it doesn't mean that that past experience is not present so it's like a it's a weird balance.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_01]: I would tend to lean if it ain't broke don't fix it and bank on what he's done in the past, but every at bad I think is going to be magnified a little bit more because I I just can't see continual high scoring games based off what we've seen all season from the
- 11:04[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, crazy stat for you is a here.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_03]: I think in six regular season games, the Guardian scored eight runs against the race and then seven runs last time game one.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, so they're right on par for what they usually do.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no, totally in six games.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_00]: It's for all the last like seven in the first playoff game.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_03]: I'll have this that that's crazy.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_00]: That that is crazy.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_00]: I want to the touch on the rokyo thing though real quick Like I'm with I agree with the whole if it's not broke don't fix it thing.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's one of those things where you should keep it in your back pocket Where look at Brian Rokyo as that draw for a wild card in Uno
- 11:34[SPEAKER_00]: or that or the wild card in it or you need to get a bailout like how do you get a reaction that benefits the team like like max alluded to right rokyo was huge we're not in the playoffs without rokyo yeah at this point right so it's not necessarily what you said moving off of rokyo completely but maybe one game you go hey rokyo
- 11:56[SPEAKER_00]: Just we need to see something else right here.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_00]: We're not giving up on you.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_00]: And then that kind of presses the button and they night something that could maybe give us a rokyo October game, you know what I mean?
- 12:05[SPEAKER_00]: So I think it's one of those things where you trust your guys that got you here, but maybe you tweak something along the way that could get a reaction that could be positive for both the club and rokyo.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_00]: So I think you keep broken in your back pocket and don't yeah, don't fix what ain't broken.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's also an interesting option off the bench too because Steven votes probably shown over the last like four or five games now that if the team is up in a close game, they're going to take Travis Pazana out for defensive reasons and put in a second base.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_03]: So even if a fan out gets to start a short stop, then you could bring in Rokio to play second late in the game.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_03]: He's also a switchheader, so like that adds a bit of versatility when you're
- 12:41[SPEAKER_03]: pinch hitting for him and where you want to put him in.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_03]: So I think that could be an interesting factor.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_03]: Before we talk about those Cleveland Browns guys, let's move it over to Game 2 tonight.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_03]: Eight o'clock guards trying to take a two o lead back to Cleveland.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_03]: Well, it was so weird about the ALCS two years ago.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_03]: The last time Cleveland was in the conference championship.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_03]: You go down two o in the Bronx before you come home to Cleveland.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_03]: I believe it was the game three where they won with the John Cohn run to tie it with two outs.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_03]: The David Fries walk off.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_03]: So that was a little bit more like you're walking on eggshells, you feel like you almost have to win all three before the ultimately losing five in that series.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_03]: Pressure's off if you lose tonight still, right?
- 13:15[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like you got a little bit more breathing room, like this is a perfect brokeal game.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_00]: This is a game where you don't need your top heavy guys to go crazy.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_00]: Like you can almost get, it's almost like not a rest day forum, but like this is a game where you should be looking at the bazanas and the rokyos and the ain't how Martina has to come out here.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_03]: massive for Angie after getting Bench for game five.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_03]: He's put up some of the worst at bats of the whole entire playoffs.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_03]: No offense So the guy wouldn't be doing better comes off to Bench gets a hit last night, maybe his confidence.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_00]: You see that's that's what I'm talking about Would Brian you didn't say kind of thing up on them, but you just put them to the bench a game Let them get his mental clear and then put them back in and he makes play.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_00]: So this is up.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: This is a perfect role player game in my opinion for them to go out there and steal a win
- 14:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think this is the the prime house money game.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_01]: Like if you wanted to make a lineup change, this is like every game in any playoff series is going to matter a ton.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it's crazy to say that this game.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_01]: like the guardians you're playing loose like they want to game on the road they stole home field advantage back does everybody in Cleveland want the guards to go up too well and come back just went two or three at home you go to the world series yes absolutely but i think there's a little bit more willingness to try new things knowing you already took one of two on the road so i do think that would relieve a little bit of pressure from the guards that they were to try new things but again
- 14:39[SPEAKER_01]: If you win this game, like I don't think you can make dramatic moves to the point where you feel like you don't give yourself the best chance to win or as good of a chance as you could, because if you go up to, oh, coming back to Cleveland.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_01]: Again, park domestic on the mat.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_01]: Like they, this is very real that it's a couple wins away from a world series coming back to Cleveland.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_01]: They are red hot right now.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_01]: This is a very real thing.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_01]: And that's why even though all the logistics say like, yep, pressure is more off than it would be if you lost game one, you can try new things with your lineup.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_01]: if it ain't broke don't fix it and it's been four straight and four straight out about convincing before straight good games from the guard so it's hard for me to believe they again approach this any different than they have the past like month
- 15:22[SPEAKER_00]: Jack, I got a question for you.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_00]: With it scary, I'm not really, I don't want to make it seem like we're looking ahead.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_00]: Like Max just said, red hot, would it scare you if they got a little bit too much rest when you are the hottest team in baseball right now?
- 15:39[SPEAKER_00]: Is it fair to say that we're the hottest team in baseball right now?
- 15:41[SPEAKER_03]: Helly actually be to raise less I would say the raise probably work coming into the game so I mean the brewers also like look at what they're doing the Dodgers right now The Dodgers are talking about benching show haotes honey.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_03]: That's how crazy that series is like.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so I don't know.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I think you're right up there for the hottest teams in baseball right now And I don't know because I think rest versus Russ this is weird thing where
- 16:01[SPEAKER_03]: You look at the college of all playoffs a couple years ago and it was all the teams that got the buy in the college of all playoffs in the first two years of the 12 team format just kept losing right and you look at the we got the rest and the white socks had to play in the wild card ground.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_03]: We dropped the first two games to them and then last night the race score two runs in the first inning and Brian Anderson the announcers like
- 16:21[SPEAKER_03]: Well, it looks like rest versus rest doesn't matter this time, but then the guards come back and win the game, right?
- 16:25[SPEAKER_03]: So I don't know, I mean, truthfully, I don't know, I wish I had a better answer on that, but I wanted to ask you guys now, and then I'll give my answer after a couple more quick fun things here on the guards for a game to tonight.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_03]: Who is your ex-sector for Cleveland?
- 16:39[SPEAKER_03]: Who's the guy that has to get it done?
- 16:41[SPEAKER_03]: And part two of the question is, if the guards win, will it be because of what Parker does on the mound?
- 16:47[SPEAKER_03]: Or do you expect it to be a, if the bats show up again like that?
- 16:50[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, not that both parts can't contribute, but do you think the bats will be the bigger reason?
- 16:55[SPEAKER_00]: Max, you want to take a first.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_00]: You want me to go.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_01]: I think the only way you make Jose Ramirez life a little easier is if you lead off well.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_01]: And I think Stephen Quansman played okay like Stephen Quansman is an ex-factor really in every game, but tonight especially like could you imagine if the guards open the game the night and Stephen Quansman is even just a single but gets on base and all of a sudden you have three guys who are playing very well offensively right behind him with three chances they're each going to get up unless a double play happens.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_01]: I would feel pretty confident about moving forward with Parker Messick on the Mount.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_01]: And I think, like, I'll call it four runs.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_01]: I was gonna say three.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_01]: I think four runs wins the game tonight.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_01]: So I got, I don't think it's crazy to say an average.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_01]: offensive performance from the guards is enough to move the needle to move back to Cleveland to up to 0.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_01]: So I would say leaning on the bats and I think Stephen Cuan, like if you want to start hot, if you want to put the pressure on a team that's probably already feeling the pressure, like you wouldn't believe right now, that's how you do it.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_01]: Put pressure on them in the first inning and maybe go up a runner to and then play from ahead, but like have that advantage moving forward.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_01]: So your second time through lineup, third time through lineup, you
- 18:05[SPEAKER_01]: play a little loose or you feel like you had that advantage.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_01]: So I'll start out hot with Steven Kwan, first up out of the game, see what happens.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_03]: Max real quick, note on that because a great point made about that rule of four runs right now, teams in the playoffs are 19 and two and they score four runs in a game.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, isn't that crazy?
- 18:22[SPEAKER_03]: That is like a guy.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_01]: I part of me, which is I said three, but I think between three and four, like yeah, again, I'd be shocked if consistently,
- 18:32[SPEAKER_01]: There's seven, eight, nine combined runs in these games.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_01]: Like I don't think that's consistently reasonable, unless one team is scoring like seven or eight of them.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_01]: Say what's your prediction for tonight?
- 18:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I love the quann1.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like it's been, we haven't really had the quann hype, but I think this is a perfect game.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_00]: And he got the juices going last night.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_00]: When it really didn't matter, but it was the perfect layup.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_00]: I literally was sitting on the couch and I'm like,
- 18:59[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, this is a perfect opportunity for Adelaide to get a home run.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_00]: Or at least drives for runs in and he goes out, drives for running.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_00]: You can carry that into this game.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you might only need two, three runs today.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_00]: If Joe Adelaide can drive one and I think this is a perfect Joe Adelaide game to come back into Cleveland with a little bit of momentum after his head.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_00]: That he had last night.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_00]: It's a pretty much seal to deal and and get us a two o' lead come back home.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_00]: So give me a do.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going three nothing guards in this one guys.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_03]: I think Parker Massick hears all the talk about how his arms tired about how he's washed for the year.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_03]: It's his first time getting up near that 200 inning threshold.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_03]: I think he comes out dealers and absolute performance and player the game.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_03]: The one guy besides Rokio, who really hasn't totally gotten it going in October.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_03]: I think Juan is kind of in that group as well, Max.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_03]: They'd all be sitting in detention together, not detention.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_03]: He's not doing bad by any search of the imagination.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_03]: He's actually played some pretty good defense.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_03]: Travis Pazana, I think tonight's tonight that he does something big.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_03]: Whether it's a home run, whether it's another big double like he had in game four, maybe game three, what does I want to say on the road in Chicago?
- 20:01[SPEAKER_03]: I think you get the big effort out of Travis Pazana.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_03]: now it's time for the real debate that everyone's in waiting for the whole entire show.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_03]: It was talked about on multiple, multiple channels I believe this morning on the radio waves.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_03]: If the guardians are to keep the fun going.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_03]: Not even saying they would anything.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_03]: If they keep the fun going and Jose keeps it up.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_03]: At the level he's been at it, he said in 348 in the playoff, he's, I mean, just been nuts since 2020, his postseason sets.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_03]: Is there a case for Jose or
- 20:32[SPEAKER_00]: have my opinion on this.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_00]: If it was listen, if baseball was of like, even second, I feel like in Cleveland, I feel like it could be a legitimate.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_03]: So it's over at the calves.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, absolutely, there are more Guardian Sands and Cat Sands in Cleveland, it's not close.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_01]: Anyone?
- 20:59[SPEAKER_01]: Low, Ryan.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I think the passion for the guards runs a little bit deeper.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_01]: I think there would.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's tough.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_01]: If you want to talk about most beloved Cleveland athletes, I think right now he probably has a better case than LeBron.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_01]: If the guards would win a world series,
- 21:20[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe there's a debate, but like I don't think it'd be a close debate.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_01]: Like I think Jose Ramirez would be the most beloved Cleveland athlete of all time.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_01]: He might even be right now, at least the 21st century, even if the guards don't win.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_01]: But if they do in a world series, I don't think it's a huge debate in terms of greatest.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's hard to argue against LeBron because of the championship.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_01]: Like I think a world series would have to happen.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_01]: And then you start to make the argument, well, Jose, you know, leaned it seemingly, leaned into Cleveland a little bit more.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_01]: You want a world series, LeBron left, came back all this good stuff.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_01]: He won a championship, like he's at the top of his, like one of the greatest if not the greatest ever, Jose, definitely up there, probably not the same threshold.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_01]: Like I think it would have to be Jose Ramirez winning a world series for it to become a debate on the greatest.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_01]: I think most beloved.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_01]: You ask a hundred people in Cleveland.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_01]: I think the majority of them will say Jose Ramirez at least right now.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_00]: Like this is the power of the Brown.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_00]: Like the why the team matters.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_00]: Like if Jose was the same, Jose, I love my city.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_00]: I love the Browns.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_00]: I loved it.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_00]: And if he was that, and he took us to a divisional round and lost.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_00]: He would probably be the greatest brown to ever play, or the greatest Cleveland player above the, without even winning, no, that's how, if he was on the Browns and acted the way Jose does, he would hit the school uniform in Cleveland, Ohio, if he was the Browns quarterback, would be a Jose, they would literally be building a statue as he's still performing right now.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_00]: That's, that's what I'm talking about, the power of that sport.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_00]: Don't get me wrong.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_00]: The die hards of guards and Indians, they run like you in a run deep and that that group is strong, but it's just there's power and numbers and the numbers of is the town and Cleveland.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_00]: I just think that that's the only thing that is holding it back as that if if he was on the bronze doing he wouldn't even have to go to a Super Bowl.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_03]: But we don't have to worry about anyone on the Browns right now taking that spot.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_00]: You're right for now.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_03]: Right now or all time.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, that's a good.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_03]: I would say right now for sure.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_03]: Right now for sure.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_03]: It's not a question.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_03]: I think I honestly is more of the 90's guys from for the tribe, right?
- 23:32[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I'm telling you, really put a game around has some detractors because of off the old stuff.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_00]: I think people are sour at Lebront when Lebront when Lebront were tires and he's gone from the face every day of the NBA.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_00]: That that that that feeling will come back.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_00]: I think we are just.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_00]: just kind of exhausted because of the longevity and all that stuff.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_00]: You're not really going to appreciate what LeBron did for it.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_00]: Not only the city, but for everything like that's Cleveland.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_00]: That's I know he claims acronyms, but that's still Cleveland at the end of the day.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's hard to get to that mountain.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_00]: And I think right now in the moment, obviously when Jose keeps doing this, he takes $150 million pay cut like that's obviously going to take like that's goat stuff like that.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_00]: He was on any other franchise like that's the best ever, but LeBron is LeBron for a reason.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_03]: So we can agree on most beloved I think so if the guards if the guards win a world series Just a white one or a hot caveat.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, is the more beloved in Nick Chub I that's a great question I think yes, yes, yes, I think he isn't Cleveland.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_03]: I think Nick Chub is one of the few people who are like Jose were not one person will speak bad on them, but I think Jose does have managed out a little bit.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_03]: This is different for so long.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe that's the poll we can do walk around Nick Chub or Jose
- 24:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, oh, we should.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, let's do that for one of the games this week.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_03]: That would be a fun little friend activity we could do, but so if the guards, if the guards win the world series and Jose keeps current pace, will he go down as the greatest over the run.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_03]: Just one word answer, yes or no, the greatest.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sleeping Ashley.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, I'm saying yes.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_01]: No, grace.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_00]: Afno.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_01]: I think he would be 10 times more beloved than he would than he is right now or would be down the line.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_01]: But like, Jose Ramirez will go down as like one of the X number greatest baseball players ever.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_01]: Like LeBron, in my opinion, best basketball player ever.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_01]: And I think you've heard of one of the, like the top shorty of baseball on Earth, they would say he's one of like the two or three best.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_01]: Like that ceiling or high caliber makes it tough to argue, but also, let me say this
- 25:38[SPEAKER_03]: And I understand that breaking a 50-year city championship drought is, I mean, it's the greatest thing we've ever had as Cleveland sports fans, not at all trying to take anything away from that.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_03]: But you can't say for Jose, if the guard's won this year, he's breaking a drought that is 30 years longer, and he never once laughed, you know, this was such about these arguments.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_00]: We're in, I'm,
- 25:56[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_00]: I feel that I think, you know, like 30 to 20.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because I don't want to do it.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_00]: The finish would always mean to the city.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_00]: And it's just like, it's certain levels that like, I think LeBron's level is just a level.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_00]: You have to do something like, I don't know if the guards as just.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_03]: them be third and have this to you know what I mean I just thought of this so right now they're down to uh... to the brewers in the and I'll and I'll see how many is an hundred percent but if you beat that dodgers team coming off of two consecutive world series with literally a god squad starting pitching staff i'm not saying that's the same as beating the seventy three nine warriors but how far off is it
- 26:39[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't think the number.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's a numbers game in terms of this.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_00]: There's not enough to surpass a Browns fandom.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_00]: Like you know what I mean?
- 26:48[SPEAKER_00]: Or a LeBron, like there are so many LeBron fans that it's not just Cleveland, that bought into Cleveland because of LeBron.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_00]: And then you don't want to mean like it's a different level.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_00]: It's nothing to do with Jose and nothing to do with what he means to the city.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_00]: LeBron is in the stratosphere in his own.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_02]: I'll jump in real quick, producer.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_02]: Jack, I'm on your side.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_02]: I think Jose wins the world series.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_02]: 100% he goes over LeBron.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_02]: That's appreciate it.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_02]: Greatest.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_02]: What?
- 27:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_02]: Greatest Cleveland.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_03]: Do you have any YouTube comments given there given their thoughts on it?
- 27:17[SPEAKER_01]: uh... squirrel says breaking seven eight year old world series drought major achievements of y'all think he's team was a okay how about that we're gonna say we're gonna take a absolute what's loole what do you say i i think i think the fact that we i think collectively and cleanland would love and appreciate that championship more because Jose remira's is outwardly
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: saying Cleveland was my home like Cleveland loves me like the love between Cleveland and Jose Ramirez is way more real I think that it is between LeBron and Cleveland especially after he left Cleveland go to Miami then came back.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's kind of clouding our vision on the greatest aspect of it.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_01]: Like LeBron James, the best basketball player in the world, not carries a team because the entire year of in Kevin Love, but is almost unequivocally the greatest player in the league and comes back down three to one in the NBA finals to win that championship.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_01]: Like to me, that's like one of the greatest sports feats ever.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_01]: I think the love is kind of clouding the greatness vision.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_01]: I think it would do, in Max, you're totally correct.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_03]: But I do think it would go down as potentially stopping a lockout, 80 year world series.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I think that would be one of the most memorable world series of this century.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_01]: We got another one.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_01]: I think that if it were to stop lock all that stuff, that could also absolutely play a fact.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_03]: Who said, you know that meme of like the guy who's like stopping the bus from hitting the kid who's walking across the street?
- 28:43[SPEAKER_03]: That's like Jose is like just stopping the whole entire I'll be from a lockout right now just but just buy himself Daniel says we never had to or we'll have to boo Jose ever we did for LeBron that's a great point that's a great point that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a great thing that's a
- 29:02[SPEAKER_00]: to the city.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think then the LeBron championship.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I think that even sounds kind of crazy saying that because that one meant so much.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_00]: But I think because of what Jose has still stood forward and literally been out as like Cleveland is my like my blood type of thing like you could that's where the conversation comes that yeah this championship probably means more than the 2016 one for if you're a Clevelander.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_01]: And I think like when we get into like, oh, like we don't have to boo, we don't have to boo Jose or like we love Jose, like that is emotional like appreciation for Jose Ramirez.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_01]: And if you want to talk about like negative feelings towards LeBron the other side, that could be part of it too.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_01]: But like LeBron James,
- 29:44[SPEAKER_01]: Again, let a team down from three one against arguably the greatest, not arguably the greatest regular season team ever like that that is like one of the greatest championships in the history of sports stuff has more than 33 greatness versus appreciation I think greatness is pretty clearly the brought now Jose could have a crazy ALCS and put up crazy numbers in the world series and this could be a very very different conversation.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_00]: But I think it's hard to argue the greatness of what LeBron did if you just put the emotions lie like honestly I think of Jose was on the Cavs tape like if you switch Jose and LeBron He would be the greatest ever.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_03]: I don't even know if I should have him on every freaking corner
- 30:25[SPEAKER_00]: I think the only thing that could literally take over a, a, a, a, a, a Cleveland or like a, he would be a Browns program.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_00]: It would be a Browns quarterback.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_00]: And, and I think there was still even be a conversation because how much did that quarterback and, right, like if it was Baker, that would be the real conversation.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_00]: But if you had a guy come in who really wasn't about the city who didn't get us, like, you know what I mean.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_00]: And like if you get to the point where it's like that, it's not going to hit us saying, but if Jose, it's the team, I just think that they're third in line, and it's hard to put a third in line team, but they're not third in line though, or you think because of LeBron, they in terms of the championship.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_00]: that element.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_00]: It's the right.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_00]: So like I'm not taking the guards are one of the most di hardest of di hardest.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_00]: Like they're up there with the Browns.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_00]: Like that group of people, like you have people who won't even say guards because that's how diar they are to their team.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_00]: Like that means something.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_00]: But if you put like again, if you put them on the Browns team, or you put them on that cast team, there would not be another championship that I don't think could surpass that because of what Jose the individual put out of his mouth saying, how much city means to him.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_00]: But because it's the guards and because they're just at the bottom, I feel like in terms of that.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_03]: That's why eight o'clock tonight, game two of the ALCS guards trying to get just two wins away from the world series with a W tonight.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_03]: We'll see what happens with don't go anywhere here on the big play Cleveland Show because when we come back, we'll be talking about your three into Cleveland Browns.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_03]: And for your next guard's game, head down to 401 Euclid Avenue.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_03]: They've got plenty of CVs, a great bar scene, and over 20 draft beers.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_03]: Plus, a menu that goes way beyond pizza.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_03]: Bring your crew, grab some food, and cheer on the guards together throughout this ALCS run.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_03]: Pizza 216, your downtown game day spot, with the new location coming to Avon.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_03]: Check them out at pizza-216.com.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_03]: Welcome back live here on the Big Play Cleveland show Jack Rork alongside Chefsay and Max Slope, all the way in beautiful Cleveland, Ohio.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_03]: Dude, I love the best.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sorry I have to bring it up every single time we come back in from Break, but it's absolutely perfect.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_01]: It's comfy and I decide to wear the shirt and tie today for, I don't know, maybe I was oral farmer or something out of an eye, I'm not sure.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not sure if you're gonna win.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_01]: Then I realized I asked my Alexa this morning and said it was gonna be like 85 was a holiday and I immediately regretted it, but I'm still rocking it.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know about it.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely love it.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_03]: One thing that we need to get back on track max low dress game all good sets ago.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_03]: Cleveland Browns.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_03]: We got to get back on track this weekend against the Baltimore Ravens at home.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_03]: Divisional game Browns dropped 11 17 12 over the weekend to the Jats.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to start with you and I give what you do there.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I didn't even mean to do that, but thank you for making me sound smart for once in my life.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, is they going to start with you and then go to max?
- 33:08[SPEAKER_03]: Was this a max?
- 33:09[SPEAKER_03]: You talked about this little bit yesterday, so I'm curious to see if you have another sleep on it.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe different thoughts.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_03]: Zay was this just a good team having an off week or was this maybe the cracks starting to show a little bit against the bad jet steam?
- 33:21[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, that was funny.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_00]: That's funny.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_00]: You literally posed it that way, because I was posing it that way on the live stream yesterday as well.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, my question going in was, or my thought was, good teams were in this game.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_00]: And unfortunately, you didn't win the game, but I still, I didn't come away from that game mad.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_00]: I came away from that game as like a disappointed parent.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_00]: Like, it was one of those things, it was like,
- 33:47[SPEAKER_00]: You almost, you, you really dominated the game.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_00]: Like, but, not on offense, aside at the ball, but you dominated and dictated everything you wanted, besides that first drive the entire game, and you made the plays when it mattered most until you didn't.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you, you get the biggest, you get the touchdown of Denzo Boston, and then right after that, you get the biggest fumble of the year.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_00]: And you kept us to Feski it in nine seconds and nine seconds like that is the game right there And then it goes right into the like it wasn't one of those things We're like you didn't do enough to obviously it didn't do enough to win But it's like you don't you shouldn't have lost that game So now I'm right back in that same phrase where I was going into this week was okay How does a good team respond after a loss like that well They go against a team that they have no business beating and they come out there and they punch them in them often they win So that's where I'm at with it
- 34:38[SPEAKER_03]: Max let me ask you it this way because I as you know I like to panic with my sports teams I'm ready.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_03]: I'm ready to sound the alarms after that one.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_03]: Why should I not be sounding the alarm is about the browns after that one?
- 34:49[SPEAKER_01]: Well like they said I think this was like I said it yesterday is they just alluded to it If this is a 56 minute game the browns are they when that game they're four and one going host the Ravens So like I think there are definitely some positive things to build on I think defensively again you're still getting
- 35:06[SPEAKER_01]: more than a lot of people thought you would out of that.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_01]: You know, like Quincy Williams force three fumbles, like that's insane.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_01]: That's insane.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_01]: That does not happen often at all, right?
- 35:17[SPEAKER_01]: I think there are questions, absolutely about, you know, maybe the D-line depth that guys continue to go down is amazing.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_01]: Graham would have played against the Ravens.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_01]: Like there are those questions for sure.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_01]: But I think overall, you're getting more than you've expected from this team, Todd Munkin, the Sean Watson, whoever may be,
- 35:36[SPEAKER_01]: sustainable like that was a classic trap game last week where you go in and a lot of times you get the doors blown off you the Browns again won that 56 minute football game and they didn't make the biggest plays wouldn't matter the most so I then you can hang your hat on the fact that defensively they're gonna play tough football they trust their guys in the back end and I think the young talent is getting better like a manual making a war very clearly getting more comfortable Denzel Boston's unbelievable Casey conception didn't even play most of that game too so
- 36:07[SPEAKER_01]: good players and trends you can hang your hat on now.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_01]: The Baltimore Avons are not the New York Jets.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_01]: They're not the Pittsburgh Steelers.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if they are
- 36:17[SPEAKER_01]: as good as any team.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_01]: The Browns have played maybe the Jaguar as I think that's probably comparable.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_01]: So it is a very different animal when you're hosting Baltimore who I think is probably going to have Lamar Jackson back this weekend.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_01]: But I think there are a lot of really good things you can hang your hat on from the first five weeks and even the Jets game.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_01]: Like I think there were still positive things in that game that
- 36:36[SPEAKER_03]: you can walk forward believing it.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_03]: Before we move to Baltimore, say I love asking you the pie chart questions.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_03]: I think you always have a great break down for the pie chart questions.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_03]: So if we're pie charting blame to the Cleveland Browns over this weekend, I'm gonna abstain from including the defense personally.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_03]: If you guys want to fight me on that, go ahead and throw some punches.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_03]: Todd Monkin, to Sean Watson, O-line slash run game, and the absolute lack of wider silver depth.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_00]: I was going to say you're missing one because there is a little bit of a special thing.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, she's my bad.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_00]: My bad.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_03]: They botched some stuff this week.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_00]: Um, okay.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_00]: Um, we'll go.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_00]: We'll start out with the Sean.
- 37:20[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Sean probably gets about.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, I feel like 20% is a little bit too high.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I was thinking 20.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_00]: I'm thinking more like 15 to 18-ish.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll give them like 16.7.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_00]: I'll keep tracks.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_00]: We add up to 100.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_00]: And then I think after that, you go offensive line, run game communication stuff.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_00]: Because the communication stuff could be,
- 37:48[SPEAKER_00]: coach, QB, and the whoever's calling the offensive line protections, they've got to figure that out because you can't just have guys running free every play.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll go 20, 9, 7% there.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_03]: All right, right 46.4 just to keep you updated.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_03]: And now, and then who we got left, we've got special teams.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, special teams receivers, monkey.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_00]: Like, special seems these are own chart because that one play really just cost us, but that's...
- 38:20[SPEAKER_00]: you shouldn't even been in that position.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll do like a 10% sliver, but it's one of those big 10% slivers that you notice like, damn, why is this sliver so big?
- 38:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, oh, like where it draws up, there's a line out that you look at the name, yeah, that's a big 10% that's a big, that's a big, that's a big, you know what I mean?
- 38:37[SPEAKER_00]: 56.4.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_00]: And then after that, I think you go Isaiah Bond drops that that's probably their number two.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_00]: And I have to give the biggest, oh, so that we're at use that we're at 46.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_00]: So 26, 26, 26.4.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_00]: So then you'll go 20% to,
- 38:58[SPEAKER_00]: ways that less than the line, I need them to be higher than the line.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_03]: They are higher, 20 is higher than Tonya.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, okay, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_00]: So 20% on the dots, 20 on the drops.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_00]: 76.4.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_00]: And then how much is left?
- 39:10[SPEAKER_03]: That would be 100, minus 73.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_00]: 23.6.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_00]: And then give the rest it at the time.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_00]: So I think, you know, Todd, this is one of those games where I'm gonna give you some numbers because we talked about, you know, why do we see for ones in depth and things of that nature?
- 39:28[SPEAKER_00]: wide receiver four, do not get nearly as many targets as our guy as they have gone through a five weeks.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_00]: Jalen, no, Mitchell, Tensley, whatever this guy's name in Kavans, Harp, and John of the Mingo, Chris Moore, Ty Felt and Tori Horton, and a part of the character in a part of the territory.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, collective of it, what it looks like maybe 30 targets, maybe 35 targets combined through all those guys at wide receiver fours.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_00]: Denzel Boston's our bona fide wire receiver one note.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_00]: He has 29 targets through five weeks and I think we found out after week one that he was our wide receiver one.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_00]: Other teams poking the cool has 45 through week five.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_00]: Say, a Montenar say about has 57 Drake one and 36 Jamar Chase 38 Zay Flowers 31 JS and 50 Millie Collins has some injuries Justin Jefferson and 24 Crystal out of a 54 Cd lamb 51.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_00]: you have a bona fide wide receiver one he had one target up until the fourth quarter and ended with seven you found a way to get him six targets in the fourth quarter but you couldn't find a way to get him six targets throughout the first three quarters that's a scheming problem so like
- 40:38[SPEAKER_00]: All this, oh, you're making an excuse for our Zairebond job.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'm not.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_00]: Zairebond, you get paid as a receiver to make those catches.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_00]: It smacked you in the chin.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_00]: You need to catch the ball.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_00]: What I'm saying is, you shouldn't have even put him in that position to begin with when you have a bona fide wide receiver one and a bona fide tight end in Harrell Fannon.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_00]: If you're offensive, mind guru, Pooka Nicole had 24 targets last night.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_00]: Was he open on those 24 stars?
- 41:05[SPEAKER_00]: He caught 17 of them.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_00]: That means Sean McVay trusts his receiver to go out there and get it done regardless of what the situation is.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_00]: So either the separation isn't great enough, but I just talked to Joe Hayne this morning and I'm like, Tell me if I'm wrong.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_00]: Why receiver in the NFL?
- 41:21[SPEAKER_00]: If you got one-on-one coverage you're open.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_00]: You are 100% Open, you know how Joe be talking.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_00]: You are 100% open in the NFL if you think your guy is better
- 41:29[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm at the point where I say a bunch and have the seven food targets and on the biggest drive of the game, even though he's wide open, Denzel Boston should be in that slot or Harold Fannon should be in that slot.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_00]: That's where I'm getting at with this.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_00]: So the depth I still think were deep.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_00]: You don't trust your wide receiver forward to make the biggest plays of the game.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_00]: You give those targets to Denzel Boston and Harold Fannon every single week and you live with the results.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_00]: That's why I'm not mad frustrated is the word that I would use.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_03]: Very well said, say, while you're angry, though, let's keep it going.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_03]: Make it with Patrick.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_03]: Dirty or not.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_00]: One of the dirtiest players there ever was in the league.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_00]: And that's why I was making it like, if he didn't have the name, make a Fitzpatrick tied to his name, that hit is a bang bang.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_00]: I'm with Todd, bang bang play.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_00]: Unfortunately, he got the worst of it.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_00]: But because of the reputation of what he's done throughout his entire career,
- 42:21[SPEAKER_00]: That was dirty.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_00]: Was the hit dirty?
- 42:23[SPEAKER_00]: Like if you made that hit, or you made that hit, or maybe we're not going to send you like, oh, that was a dirty hit.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, damn, he made a, he made a bang bang play on the board.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_00]: I was crazy, but make a fist fracture has a history of doing this.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_00]: That was dirty.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_03]: Let's flip it over now to the Browns game at home against the Ravens a week of home coming of some sorts, I guess, for Todd Monk and facing off against this old team.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_03]: Max, what worries you more right now and more for the offense or what do you expect the Ravens to expose more?
- 42:50[SPEAKER_03]: There are severs not making plays or Cleveland not being able to run the football at all.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's honestly, and it's kind of a cop-out answer.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's going to depend on Trey Hendricks in because he's missed, I think the past two games, but he missed last week and I think that's a huge, huge, huge part of the Raven's defensive identity, but really just past rush.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_01]: When we haven't seen Trey Hendricks in healthy, with nom, the amount of BK playing full snap.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_01]: So that's a combo that scares me a little bit.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of think they go hand in hand, but I do worry about the Brown just getting behind the chains because they can't run the ball.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_01]: And the Ravens run defense has been pretty good to start the year again.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_01]: Park, they haven't had nominee-mata BK full snaps.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_01]: I believe till week four, then I'm pretty sure Hendrickson missed the last two, but he definitely missed last game.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_01]: So the Ravens haven't trotted out still in week six.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_01]: They're full team, and I think they could in week six, and defensively that scares me.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_01]: I think the Brown's defense can have success against the Ravens.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what they're going to do with Zay Flours.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how comfortable they feel with Denzel Ward traveling between the hashes with him.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_01]: Like I don't know what they're going to do there.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_01]: But I would be more worried about the Brown's not being able to run the ball on first and second down.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_01]: And then.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_01]: having teams to pin their ears back and even send blitzes because the browns where I believe blitzed are pressured on 13 snaps and they came up eight sacks like that's a crazy number.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_01]: So the browns blitz pick up probably needs a little bit of work and I think a lot of the sacks that I saw four of them were from blitzes specifically.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't love when the Browns are in 3rd and 7 3rd and 8 3rd and 9 when teams can design blitzes and coverage based off of what they've been seeing on film for a week whereas the Browns could be in 3rd and 2 3rd and 3rd and 4 where you can get to show them Watson on the move and if a play is broken down you can use his legs a little more effectively.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_01]: So I worry more about the offense than you have the chance.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_03]: Zay, I think we all know that you can throw everything out the window for any AFC North game.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_03]: What did you see against the Steelers two weeks ago, the last time the Browns won, that you feel is transferable to a win this week?
- 44:50[SPEAKER_00]: It's not even just the Steelers.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's really...
- 44:53[SPEAKER_00]: minus week one.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_00]: There's one identity that's solidified and that is their defense.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_00]: Like they can stand on their defense to note that when it's time for them to make a play, I think that they can make that play for you.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_00]: So if this is going to be one of those games that were
- 45:12[SPEAKER_00]: I expect Todd to flex his muscles.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see Todd get in his bag.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see some stuff that, you know, we really haven't seen up into this point that he may have been just been holding for this game.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_00]: So that way, like if your defense is playing the way that they're playing, you win 90% of the games.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_00]: If you take all of these defensive games that the bronze have played over the past three weeks, you win 90% of them so all we need is the offense to just make plays when they need to aka after you get a turnover don't go with four plays one yard in nine seconds and you win that game so.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think there needs to be major tweaking.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they need to do anything creative through anything out the window just because it's an AFC North game.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_00]: This is a different unit that we're working with.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_00]: And to them, this is just another opponent.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_00]: And I obviously, they know it's the Ravens, but I think they're looking at like, this is just another opponent.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_00]: We gotta go out there and prove the people that we about that life.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_00]: So, that's all I'm feeling.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_00]: Quincey Williams, do it again.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_03]: I think one thing that's been proven about Todd Munkin so far is he knows how to get his guys going.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_00]: Adam and one of you's for sure a player's coming back.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_03]: Those guys want to go through the wall for him.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_03]: Say, do you think it adds an extra layer?
- 46:20[SPEAKER_03]: Or do you think there will be an extra pep in the step for the Browns because it is Todd Munkin's first chance to shove it to the Ravens?
- 46:27[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm curious to know, like, I wonder if any of the reporters are going to ask him the question because Todd strikes me as the type of guy who won't really
- 46:37[SPEAKER_00]: like talk about it, but if you ask him about it, he may indulge in it a little bit, but deep down you know Todd knows like, oh yeah, that's like this is my first kid coaching job, but I don't think there's no ill will, like I almost wish there was a little ill will to go with it because then that makes it a little bit more personal.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_00]: This was just as simple as one of those things where I think Todd Muckin was going to go with John Harball to New York if he didn't get the head coaching job anyway.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_00]: So it's not like they didn't, they just cut them or anything like that.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_00]: So, but I do think the players would be like, especially the defense to look at it and be like, A.L.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_00]: Todd, we got, we got Joe Beck type of deal.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_03]: Max, so when I'm texting in the group chat later, if I buddy, so I don't want to sound like an idiot talking about this game, what is your, what is your four-jummies breakdown of the Baltimore
- 47:26[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I think the biggest thing for the Browns in this game is stopping the run.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_01]: Honestly, I think just not only how often the Ravens run the ball because they're obviously going to run a lot with Derek Henry, but also with whoever's playing quarterback, they're super efficient when they do it.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_01]: And I look at the run games, the Browns have played to start the year.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_01]: They have, for lack of a better phrase, left a little bit to be desired.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_01]: Like I said the same thing about the Falcons when I broke that game down Ravens Falcons last week.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like Falcons statistically best run defense in the NFL right now.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_01]: They have not seen a Derek Henry.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_01]: The Browns have not seen a Derek Henry or a run game like the Ravens.
- 48:06[SPEAKER_01]: So I think most important thing is kind of cutting the head off the snake and making, I think it's going to be Lamar Jackson, but whoever is starting to quarterback beat you from within the pocket and really without a run game.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_01]: And don't get me wrong.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_01]: Like Lamar is good enough to do that.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_01]: That is job much easier said than done.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_01]: But I think the Browns give themselves a pretty darn good chance when they do that.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_01]: And on the other side of the ball, like the outside corners on the Ravens are going to be tested.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_01]: They've continually been tested week after week.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_01]: We saw a strike one and really regardless of who they've played.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_01]: Even Cardinal Tate had a great game against them.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_01]: Like you said, say, six targets for Denzel Boston, the fourth quarter.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_01]: Let's maybe cut that in half and do three targets a quarter.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_01]: But like, let's get this guy double digit targets against the Ravens.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_01]: Like that, that is what I think the Browns need.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_01]: Especially if KC concepts you don't can't go.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously we're going to wait to see probably Friday.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_01]: We'll get an idea.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_01]: But
- 48:55[SPEAKER_01]: If he can't go, obviously, Judy Bonne and even Harrow fan of Junior, like we really talked much about him.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_01]: I'm shocked that he only had four targets too.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_01]: Those guys got to get going, but this is a game I think because I don't think the Browns are going to have a ton of success on the ground.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_01]: This is a game I think you have to lean on those outside playmakers even more.
- 49:13[SPEAKER_01]: And this has to be the Denzel Boston game.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_01]: we talked about the game against Carolina where it wasn't really a ton for him really all game and then right away Pittsburgh, a couple big chunk plays.
- 49:24[SPEAKER_01]: That I think is reminiscent or this will be reminiscent of that Todd Monk and thinking, hey, we got to get this guy going, let's find new ways to do it and you'll see that immediate impact against Baltimore.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_03]: Zaby played this fun game on the show every week, right?
- 49:37[SPEAKER_03]: Tell you that a player stinks or he's not doing well enough.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_03]: And you tell me I'm an idiot.
- 49:40[SPEAKER_03]: And then that guy goes out has the game with his career.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_03]: And then he gets all say, ha ha, jack's an idiot.
- 49:45[SPEAKER_03]: I'm a little bit worried about Quint Shonjadkins.
- 49:47[SPEAKER_03]: Bring me back down there.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_03]: from a little worry too, oh no, I'm a little worried.
- 49:55[SPEAKER_00]: Just a little bit, but you know, I'm gonna cut them a little bit of slack and I just think that there's something bugging me with this offensive line because they're not only not figuring it out on the run game, they can't figure out how to chip block a blitz to save their life.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_00]: So there is some whether it's communication, lack of skill,
- 50:19[SPEAKER_00]: chemistry something on the offensive line isn't jelling right and unfortunately There's a bigger Microsoft scope on cue because just last year we saw a cue.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_00]: We have the highest yards After contact and we're just we're not seeing that.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm I'm gonna I'm gonna lean on the fact that
- 50:38[SPEAKER_00]: Dylan Samson being out hurts a lot.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think that they were game planning something different and not having him is affecting it.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what that has to do with Q vision.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm gonna lean on that.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_00]: So to get you back down the earth, Jack, I don't know how we do that other than we just have to watch and watch him peel off when then I can get on my highwares.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_00]: But I can't be on my highwares right now.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_00]: There are concerns.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not giving up on him.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want it to say we're giving up on him, but when you make a signing like Audrey, how do you say his last name?
- 51:06[SPEAKER_00]: That's to me.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_03]: That's the Notre Dame guy.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that's the main moment of my bad.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_00]: When you sign a guy like him, that's starting to let you know that there's fire under the ass right now.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm sure he's feeling it and a player like he responds to stuff like that.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_00]: Audrey guys to me is a human bowling ball.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_03]: He's just going to run people and it's going to be awesome.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_01]: And you're going to look like say I'm with you.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's it's the lightning instead of a thunder that the Browns need.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_01]: Like you watch it.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_01]: I would have to check the stats.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_01]: It might have been the longest running back run of the year, Jalil Mughlaughlin's touchdown against the Steelers.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_01]: Like they need to speed, they need the explosiveness.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_01]: I was just looking, Quinshawn Judkins, fourth fewists are tied for third fewists yards before contact, pertept in the NFL of any running back that's carried the ball 50 plus times this year.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_01]: So he is not going very far before defenders at least making contact with him.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_01]: And then in terms of the percentage of his yards that happened after he is touched,
- 51:59[SPEAKER_01]: 11th in the NFL and all of those running back.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_01]: So he's having to do more after he is contacted compared to other running backs who like towards the bottom as like James Cook few as percentage of his rods are after contact.
- 52:12[SPEAKER_01]: He has to do more because there are defenders in his face or around him more often than a lot of the other running backs in the NFL.
- 52:19[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that comes with the territory when your guy like Quinshawn Judd can two may not be the most explosive guy in the world like he's going to be between the tackle he's got to get the hard yards.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_01]: He is being contacted almost right away when he touches the football and that to me is more of an online thing than anything
- 52:36[SPEAKER_03]: max last question for you before we get you on out of here on a little bit more worried about that Ravens defense after hearing you talk about it sounds like we might need to see to Sean do the most he's needed to I guess individual effort to go on when a football game possibly don't want to put words in your mouth but it might need to be a week where he has to step up do you ultimately anticipate that to Sean Watson will step up and make the plays necessary in a game where the spotlight might be more on him than anything else.
- 53:02[SPEAKER_01]: Honestly, this week I do, like I think you look at last week in the rain and the elements when it was, that's not a game that's going to lean into the Browns offense of identity.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_01]: We all want it to be a hard nose between the tackle three and a half yard of carry football team.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_01]: No, that's not what the Browns are right now.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_01]: As the reality of it, the Browns want to move the ball offensively, it's Denzel Boston on the outside, it's to Sean Watson extending plays with his legs.
- 53:29[SPEAKER_01]: I would venture to guess that a couple of those drops, couple of more drops, couple of more out of reach of some of these players probably don't happen if there's no rain.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that the way Watson has been playing it, he's not been like one of the 10 best quarterbacks in the NFL, but he's been giving guys on the outside of chance.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_01]: I think there's more of that this week.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_01]: Like we saw the big touchdown to Denzel Boston.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_01]: We saw the Trump play against Pittsburgh.
- 53:53[SPEAKER_01]: Like he has become more comfortable getting the ball outside.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_01]: And I think if there's a defense that's more susceptible to that, it is the Ravens at least compared to everywhere else on the field.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_01]: I do think he plays better, but I also think there's this unknown variable if the Ravens are all healthy defensively of how good that defense can be and that honestly worries me.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_01]: So I would lean more on, you know, a week of prep off a loss element aside and assuming KZ concepts you own plays, like yeah, the Browns offense is going to look better, but that that variable the Ravens defense scares me a little bit.
- 54:28[SPEAKER_03]: Max, thank you so much for joining us as always.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_03]: We appreciate you taking the time to come on.
- 54:32[SPEAKER_03]: As always, our last question for people is never about their closest tight sports.
- 54:38[SPEAKER_03]: So we're got not gonna ask you a football question, Max.
- 54:41[SPEAKER_03]: If you were leading off for Stephen Cron in his spot, game three at home, ALCS, what's your rock-up song?
- 54:47[SPEAKER_03]: Ooh, let me look at my Spotify reasons cause gotta be some of my listen to recently.
- 54:52[SPEAKER_03]: Good shot, good shot.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'll go, I'll narrow it down to the top like 10.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to have to answer this at the end of the show.
- 54:59[SPEAKER_01]: So good, get ready.
- 55:00[SPEAKER_00]: I don't freaking have one.
- 55:01[SPEAKER_03]: Let's go my sacrifice by Creed.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, how about that?
- 55:05[SPEAKER_03]: Wow, love it, Max.
- 55:06[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you so much for joining us as always.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_03]: When we come back here in the Big Play Cleveland show, Phil Taylor will be in talking Brown's Ravens as well as some of his favorite memories playing against.
- 55:15[SPEAKER_03]: One of the Brown's biggest rivals with first, we got to tell you about our friends over at the third estimate.
- 55:19[SPEAKER_03]: Got a room in your house that's warmer in the summer and colder in the winter.
- 55:22[SPEAKER_03]: Curdens that move even when the windows are shut.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_03]: It's not haunted, it's just drafty.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_03]: The third estimate will do a free window inspection, show you exactly where outside air is getting in, and give you a red and price that's good for six months with absolutely no pressure.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_03]: Book your free window inspection at the third estimate.com or call, say, the best number of all time.
- 55:43[SPEAKER_03]: One, two, three, four windows.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, you can never forget that if you need a free window inspection, right?
- 55:48[SPEAKER_03]: One, two, three, four windows.
- 55:50[SPEAKER_03]: The third estimate.
- 55:51[SPEAKER_03]: Spawn of the Listen and big enough to deliver.
- 55:53[SPEAKER_03]: Welcome back live here on the Big Play Cleveland Show, Jack O'Rourke alongside Chef Seek, so I'd be joined by Cleveland Brown's Legend, Phil Taylor.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_03]: Phil, how you doing this afternoon?
- 56:00[SPEAKER_03]: Good morning, man.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_03]: Good day, man.
- 56:02[SPEAKER_03]: Phil, we had a browns loss over the weekend, a big divisional game coming up, but before we get into any of that, gotta ask you, Mink is hit on KC, where do you stand?
- 56:12[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, it's tough, you know, uh, you never want to see somebody get hurt.
- 56:17[SPEAKER_04]: Um, but, uh, as a difference of guy, you know, I see where he was, he was trying to go full speed, you know, you know, he probably misjudged it a little bit, but I don't think he was, you know, necessarily trying to, you know, injure him.
- 56:31[SPEAKER_04]: So, uh, I wouldn't say it was necessarily a dirty hit.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_03]: Phil, and that kind of situation if you're out there on the field, and that's your teammate.
- 56:39[SPEAKER_03]: What's your initial reaction?
- 56:42[SPEAKER_04]: You gotta you gotta clear it you know it happened you can't go out there and do I learning you know want to fight them with all this because I just carry over to other things Just gotta go out there you know move on control what you can control and keep playing
- 56:55[SPEAKER_00]: But see, like, Phil, like, let me just push back a little because I feel like the days where, like, I feel like them days are long passes, like, when I end that moment and I was telling them earlier in the show.
- 57:06[SPEAKER_00]: If it was any other name, I think I'd be, like, not a dirty hit, but because of his reputation and what he's been through all his league, my first reaction when I saw that was, somebody need to go late as dude out the next play.
- 57:19[SPEAKER_00]: Like someone need to come crack block his ass.
- 57:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he had a little bit of a silly.
- 57:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's so like, whether it was a dirty hit or not, he just took out your one of your best players.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_00]: Somebody need to go get that lick back.
- 57:29[SPEAKER_00]: And he out here still making plays.
- 57:31[SPEAKER_00]: Like, are those days long?
- 57:33[SPEAKER_00]: God, should that have been a play that was warranted?
- 57:35[SPEAKER_00]: Same thing when they chub.
- 57:36[SPEAKER_00]: Next play, I'm going right at Mika Fitzpatrick's neck.
- 57:40[SPEAKER_04]: back.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I would say, you know, one of the league was a little bit different.
- 57:44[SPEAKER_04]: That hit was probably one of the weakest cleanest hits you see.
- 57:49[SPEAKER_04]: You know what I mean?
- 57:49[SPEAKER_04]: So they're trying to get the, you know, to save the involved.
- 57:54[SPEAKER_04]: But it's hard as a defender, man.
- 57:56[SPEAKER_04]: And you got to, you know, go 100%, but then, you know, a split second, you know, kind of trying to aim not to hit somewhere.
- 58:04[SPEAKER_03]: Somebody fill up your expectations of the Browns
- 58:10[SPEAKER_04]: It was a tough game to lose.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_04]: A game we should have won, but it was the weather wasn't the greatest.
- 58:16[SPEAKER_04]: You had drop, snaps, and things like that.
- 58:19[SPEAKER_04]: There's one of them tough games where we should have won it but at the same time, it wasn't as bad as you think it was.
- 58:28[SPEAKER_03]: Zay, you kind of had a similar sentiment, I feel.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_03]: Well, it was a sudden, I'm sorry.
- 58:31[SPEAKER_03]: I was just not, not really freaking out after one line.
- 58:35[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no, I felt like I felt like a disappointed parent.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I wouldn't even mad after that game, because we had chances to win, and they let it slip through to their fingers, and you lose on the dumbest thing.
- 58:46[SPEAKER_00]: Like, for the past few years, the thing we complained about the most, that's what you lose on.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_00]: Like, time-munking shouldn't lose like that.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_00]: So, I, I don't know, man.
- 58:54[SPEAKER_04]: We gotta get the run game going.
- 58:56[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like we get the run game going.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_04]: We got to figure it out because coasts are the same.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 59:02[SPEAKER_03]: You're not.
- 59:03[SPEAKER_03]: You're not telling us how you would figure it out.
- 59:06[SPEAKER_03]: Smart guy right there.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_03]: Good coach.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_03]: Not going to reveal anything.
- 59:09[SPEAKER_03]: Philip, when playing bots work comes up in your head.
- 59:12[SPEAKER_03]: What's the first memory you think of?
- 59:15[SPEAKER_04]: It's going to be a tough battle double that like they used to say a double chance drive game It's a you know division or rivalry You know they got one of the best run games and the league one of the best QBs and the league If if he's playing this week, but if we got hungry, he's just as good
- 59:35[SPEAKER_04]: You know what I mean, he fits it well with their system.
- 59:38[SPEAKER_04]: So we got our work cut out for him.
- 59:41[SPEAKER_04]: I would like to see a little bit more from, you know, a little bit more pressure from verse and things like that.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_04]: And the defense, I feel like if we come out and play well, then the game will be pretty good now, favor.
- 59:54[SPEAKER_03]: Is there any player from when you played against the Ravens?
- 59:57[SPEAKER_03]: I was like, yeah, this is going to be a tough day just because that dude's out there.
- 1:00:02[SPEAKER_04]: Brian Marshall yonder.
- 1:00:03[SPEAKER_04]: I was gonna say yeah.
- 1:00:04[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yonder.
- 1:00:05[SPEAKER_04]: It was always a talk battle against that guy.
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_03]: How about I mean, not that you were out there against the defensive guys, but like, does it at all change?
- 1:00:12[SPEAKER_03]: Because I feel like the Browns, I mean, now it might as it's gone, but like, Den sells this kind of guy, not to the same level as a Ray Lewis or a throughout Sugs, obviously, or an ad read, but like he's a guy who, when he's out there, like, you got a totally game plan around him, you know?
- 1:00:25[SPEAKER_03]: When you, like, playing against those guys, like, who are, obviously, Call of Fame level, was there anything like you ever picked up, just like, washing them, or even like seeing them out there for the first time, or he's like, oh, like shit, that's Ray Lewis, or did you never really have that, like,
- 1:00:38[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, yeah, we had that moment, uh, you know, planning is right, and especially when we play him in Baltimore, and uh, and he comes out the tunnel, he does that, I feel like it gets us hype too, you know what I mean, and just watching those guys, you know, play, and, you know, especially every, you know, his knowledge of the game, and how he moves and stuff like that.
- 1:01:01[SPEAKER_04]: It was awesome to see and learn something.
- 1:01:03[SPEAKER_03]: Well, so when they were when they're like defense attack a lot of Baylor number 98 Phil Taylor what what do you do and just run out of the tunnel did you have a real Listance no
- 1:01:17[SPEAKER_03]: just keep in the main thing the main thing you got you got a lot of it that's the best way to do it.
- 1:01:21[SPEAKER_03]: We talked about how like on that side it like just seeing the way Ray Lewis would motivate and leading come out and do his dance like got the guys fired up in your time in Cleveland who was the guy who was like that for the Browns.
- 1:01:31[SPEAKER_03]: Like the like that guy comes in you see him on game and you're like, all right, I'm ready to go to war.
- 1:01:38[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I'll big as vocal vocal leader prior was the quail, you know,
- 1:01:47[SPEAKER_04]: You know Joe, you know the crew, and I already knew what those guys what it was, you know, and you just got a buy, we had a buy, and I felt like, you know, the upstairs didn't let, you know, the guys mesh well, I feel like we could have, you know, kept that deep in some around a little bit longer.
- 1:02:04[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely.
- 1:02:06[SPEAKER_03]: Was there a moment for you early in your playing crew when you come into a game like this, AFC North Game, where you just realized that division games are totally different.
- 1:02:14[SPEAKER_04]: Or are you treating the exact same just learn quick more from what, you know, the, uh, not so much horror stories, but just, you know, the older bats and stuff in the games in the past and just stress, you know, lead up into those games, how much tougher practice was that we can things like that.
- 1:02:33[SPEAKER_04]: So you started to, you know, learn different things.
- 1:02:36[SPEAKER_03]: How do practice change when it was a game like that, like AFC North?
- 1:02:41[SPEAKER_04]: You know what it is, you know, it's not so much the culturally, it's not so much the coaches making things tough as it's more We're trying to get each other better this week, so it's like, you know, offensive line going extra hard, doing all that, you know, extra stuff that you don't like and you know, be lying You know, we we trying to give our best out there, you know what I mean, so I'm sharp as I
- 1:03:05[SPEAKER_03]: Zay from the superfan slash reporter slash insider perspective on our Cleveland Browns.
- 1:03:12[SPEAKER_03]: Do you at all agree with the sentiment that and it's gotten different in the last couple of years because the Browns have been pretty tight.
- 1:03:18[SPEAKER_03]: I think splitting almost last four or five years with the Steelers.
- 1:03:21[SPEAKER_03]: How close is this Raven's rivalry to the Steelers for you?
- 1:03:29[SPEAKER_03]: That's a good question.
- 1:03:33[SPEAKER_00]: see the Bengals have made a like a roaring approach to just the I almost hate Bengals fans more than any fanbase now ever since they went to the Super Bowl I don't know what it is they went to the Super Bowl and they just all of a sudden are the best like I don't know there is like a sense of entitlement almost with them But Ravens fans never really
- 1:03:58[SPEAKER_00]: It was always the players.
- 1:03:59[SPEAKER_00]: It was always Jamal Lewis, Ed Reed, Ray Lewis and so on.
- 1:04:02[SPEAKER_04]: My dad was probably the coolest out of the bunch.
- 1:04:05[SPEAKER_00]: And then the still, but the stillers was always ramed supreme.
- 1:04:07[SPEAKER_00]: I would say, but then being in the social media space, I've got so many Steelers fans that rock with what I do is like damn, I can't even hate y'all.
- 1:04:14[SPEAKER_00]: Like how I did 10 years ago.
- 1:04:16[SPEAKER_00]: Because there was no, there was none at that.
- 1:04:18[SPEAKER_00]: Like that, some days like when you grew up as a bronze fan or anywhere in the ASC North, you could not stand a Steelers fan.
- 1:04:24[SPEAKER_00]: That was no that was rule number one first thing you learn about being a wrongs man You don't associate with them.
- 1:04:28[SPEAKER_00]: You don't talk to them.
- 1:04:29[SPEAKER_00]: You don't set it the same table with nothing There was stillers that was that that was that then the Ray was just kind of like man bump y'all y'all got all these good players And we just kind of want to piece it that and then Jamal Lewis pills off for 200 yards on you then that following And it took our team and then the bangles was just the bangles like they're Kentucky for real So it really was never a hate thing until they went to the Super Bowl
- 1:04:50[SPEAKER_03]: So give me, I need both of your guys official 1, 2, 3 most hated for AFC North teams.
- 1:04:55[SPEAKER_00]: Steelers 1 always, always will be 1 to me.
- 1:04:59[SPEAKER_00]: And then I'll go, I think Ravens and Bengals are tied just because Ravens or Bengals fans are so damn annoying.
- 1:05:06[SPEAKER_03]: So I feel like you're personally inviting Ravens fans to come out here this week now.
- 1:05:10[SPEAKER_00]: Well, no, I mean, they're going to come and be regardless.
- 1:05:12[SPEAKER_00]: I do what the AFC North Roundtable every Wednesday.
- 1:05:14[SPEAKER_00]: So they get on my nerves.
- 1:05:16[SPEAKER_00]: They be on my ass, Paul, every Wednesday.
- 1:05:19[SPEAKER_03]: Phil, how about you one to three for the AC North?
- 1:05:22[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, number one, obviously Pittsburgh.
- 1:05:25[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, two, I'm gonna go go bang those in three, more and more.
- 1:05:32[SPEAKER_03]: So what, what keeps Paul's more of three for you?
- 1:05:34[SPEAKER_03]: It was just like that game is again, since he was always closer.
- 1:05:37[SPEAKER_04]: No, number one, I got hurt a lot, a good sensey.
- 1:05:41[SPEAKER_04]: They just, just my superstition, two different teams by the way, and just, they were the type of team.
- 1:05:53[SPEAKER_04]: They're going to get one or two hold and call the game, and they're going to live with that, but they're going to just still hold every point.
- 1:06:00[SPEAKER_04]: So, yeah.
- 1:06:01[SPEAKER_03]: Dirty players.
- 1:06:02[SPEAKER_03]: So talking about moving it back a little bit to the browns loss last week.
- 1:06:06[SPEAKER_03]: Like were there any times that you were a part of a loss where it's like that.
- 1:06:10[SPEAKER_03]: I'm almost just like indescribable.
- 1:06:11[SPEAKER_03]: You're like, oh, like, hey, we basically have the game one.
- 1:06:14[SPEAKER_03]: And then you flip back around and you lose and what's the, like, what are the coaches like after that?
- 1:06:18[SPEAKER_03]: You're going to coach just like, if you like, hey, everyone, what the hell is that, man?
- 1:06:24[SPEAKER_04]: It's one of those things where it's like everybody know what happened and they really don't need to be said.
- 1:06:29[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, so it's just the opposite.
- 1:06:30[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, we all we all have to up.
- 1:06:33[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I mean, disappointment.
- 1:06:36[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, so I've been around a lot of losses.
- 1:06:40[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 1:06:40[SPEAKER_04]: You can see it all.
- 1:06:42[SPEAKER_03]: Who are you?
- 1:06:43[SPEAKER_03]: If you could rank from like,
- 1:06:45[SPEAKER_03]: chillists to like, I got to hide like my like my parents were mad at me or something in the locker room what the coaches you had in Cleveland what how would they go on that scale from like after a loss like calm to mad.
- 1:07:01[SPEAKER_04]: When you I mean I guess it's a difference between when you
- 1:07:08[SPEAKER_04]: it's more so it's not it was really this man because it was like I feel like man she's like we can't get it looks like you get mad yeah yeah yeah yeah but uh yeah not a really man you know but uh
- 1:07:24[SPEAKER_04]: It was some games, it was like, all right, we should have won, you know what I'm saying, and then messed up.
- 1:07:29[SPEAKER_04]: But like if it's like a player that messed up or something like that, I mean, we know what it is, we just got a, you know, back to the drum board.
- 1:07:35[SPEAKER_00]: Wait man, hold on.
- 1:07:36[SPEAKER_00]: I want to talk about one game, the particular goal.
- 1:07:39[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, was you playing this game?
- 1:07:41[SPEAKER_00]: Johnny Menzo's first NFL start?
- 1:07:44[SPEAKER_00]: Please tell me you didn't play that game.
- 1:07:45[SPEAKER_00]: Or if you did, I want to know, no, it wasn't that game.
- 1:07:48[SPEAKER_00]: It was 14.
- 1:07:52[SPEAKER_00]: This was against the Cincinnati Bengals at home.
- 1:07:55[SPEAKER_00]: They put up like 35 one of his men's ill complete like six past year.
- 1:08:01[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, I needed to know what the locker room felt like after that loss because that's a fan.
- 1:08:06[SPEAKER_03]: Oh my god, Johnny went 10 for 18 two picks 80 yards leading running
- 1:08:14[SPEAKER_00]: It was one of the worst games I've ever like we're bronze fans we've seen a lot of BS That game was one of the worst games I've ever witnessed in my life I only can imagine what we came out like we really started this mother You know how the Phil was out that game because Jeremy Hill and for a buck 25 on the ground in a Phil Taylor isn't that ain't happening
- 1:08:35[SPEAKER_00]: That game was that game was brought sitting next to a fully decked out bangles fan with like things flying out of his hair and face pain all the whole nine I was that was a bad day I'm a good good thing you miss that game Man, listen, oh game I first look I had just had several shoulder surgery, so I had came up out the sling that game and and Duke's got me the the fresh Johnny Manzil Jersey son on you know, I'm all ready thinking like oh, I'm because I'm a Johnny guy I'm
- 1:09:03[SPEAKER_00]: I got the picture to this day where I'm just standing here like this.
- 1:09:06[SPEAKER_00]: And then we get out there and I think it was like the first drive, he throw a bounce off some of my hands or something throw an interception.
- 1:09:12[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, oh no, it's gonna be one of them games.
- 1:09:14[SPEAKER_00]: And then you look up and it's like 35 to 10.
- 1:09:17[SPEAKER_00]: What did we lose?
- 1:09:17[SPEAKER_00]: What was the score that I gained?
- 1:09:18[SPEAKER_00]: 30 nothing.
- 1:09:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, 30 nothing.
- 1:09:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:09:20[SPEAKER_03]: So that's how that game went.
- 1:09:22[SPEAKER_03]: What do you remember to fill about your time with drugs?
- 1:09:25[SPEAKER_03]: I think Johnny Manzall is such a polarizing figure because like when I was 10 years old probably it was like right where I'm when he was going for the highs been like every kid in America wanted to be Johnny Manzall.
- 1:09:35[SPEAKER_03]: Johnny football thought he was a coolest student in the world.
- 1:09:37[SPEAKER_03]: Got to Cleveland and things just exploded.
- 1:09:42[SPEAKER_04]: I feel like he was one of those type of guys that needed to sit behind somebody for a couple years.
- 1:09:47[SPEAKER_04]: I think we we throw him in a fire too early, but at the same time I mean it's Cleveland, you know I mean we're desperate, you know everybody got to play early, you know what I mean?
- 1:09:56[SPEAKER_04]: So I feel like if you sat behind some of my four couple years I think it would have been a lot better for him.
- 1:10:03[SPEAKER_03]: Did you have experience so I remember like people at the time just having the massive Hoyer and Manzel battles about who should be the quarterback and I'm sure like the locker room obviously isn't just like Go in through that every time.
- 1:10:14[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no, they wanted one person For fact factual.
- 1:10:18[SPEAKER_00]: Can you corroborate?
- 1:10:19[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I know for a fact.
- 1:10:20[SPEAKER_00]: They wanted one person.
- 1:10:21[SPEAKER_00]: So you're saying all 53 wanted I say them players that mattered most wanted it who?
- 1:10:27[SPEAKER_00]: the players on that defense, the one that had a seven to four Brian Hore, the people on the office that were winning it, they wanted Brian Hore.
- 1:10:34[SPEAKER_00]: And there's people on record saying it.
- 1:10:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:10:37[SPEAKER_00]: Don't say winner one guy.
- 1:10:39[SPEAKER_00]: Were you in that?
- 1:10:40[SPEAKER_03]: Were you in that thought it off?
- 1:10:42[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, I was in the boat of whoever started.
- 1:10:45[SPEAKER_04]: That's our guy.
- 1:10:46[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, just good.
- 1:10:46[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I just got right with that guy to go.
- 1:10:48[SPEAKER_04]: I went.
- 1:10:49[SPEAKER_03]: It's so so crazy to me to flip to a rookie quarterback when you have a winning record.
- 1:10:53[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, where was the one.
- 1:10:55[SPEAKER_00]: He had just got a lifetime.
- 1:10:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's been a broken superhero.
- 1:10:59[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:11:00[SPEAKER_03]: Did you guys get free Roman burgers for that?
- 1:11:03[SPEAKER_04]: That's kind of BS, but I think also like hometown kids who like it was such a cool story How was like being a time in the locker room, is he a nice guy or is cool or was cool He was one of those underrated guys that you know everybody kind of wrote them off, but You know he he get out there when you some games, man You played that week.
- 1:11:22[SPEAKER_04]: So wait.
- 1:11:22[SPEAKER_00]: Where did you play in the uh the biggest comeback in NFL
- 1:11:30[SPEAKER_00]: 25 to 3.
- 1:11:31[SPEAKER_00]: Versus Titans.
- 1:11:32[SPEAKER_00]: Ryan Horrier, Travis.
- 1:11:34[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that was a game.
- 1:11:38[SPEAKER_04]: That was 2012.
- 1:11:40[SPEAKER_00]: That was 12.
- 1:11:41[SPEAKER_00]: No, that was 14.
- 1:11:42[SPEAKER_00]: That was 14.
- 1:11:44[SPEAKER_00]: At Tennessee.
- 1:11:44[SPEAKER_03]: That was the biggest Travis Benjamin.
- 1:11:46[SPEAKER_03]: Travis Benjamin, yeah.
- 1:11:47[SPEAKER_04]: I got into Michael Horde again.
- 1:11:50[SPEAKER_04]: Hmm.
- 1:11:51[SPEAKER_03]: Wait, that's the guy from the blind side?
- 1:11:52[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:11:53[SPEAKER_03]: No way, really?
- 1:11:55[SPEAKER_03]: You know the guy from the blind side?
- 1:11:57[SPEAKER_03]: That is some other cool thing I've ever learned about like that like that is like, wait, this is an older name guy, right?
- 1:12:02[SPEAKER_03]: No, no, he's just in a movie and I saw the movie one time that I had the the name recognition that it came over.
- 1:12:07[SPEAKER_03]: Did you ever like, chirp him up the movie?
- 1:12:09[SPEAKER_03]: I'm probably talking to you.
- 1:12:10[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you have to be like, sorry, that's going to movie.
- 1:12:12[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, you have to be like, yeah, you have to be like, yeah, you have to be like, yeah, you have to be like, yeah, you have to be like, yeah, you have to be like, yeah, you have to be like, yeah, you have to be like, yeah, you have to be like, yeah, you have to be like, yeah, you have to be like, yeah, you have to be like, yeah, you have to be like, yeah, you have to be like, yeah, you have to be
- 1:12:24[SPEAKER_03]: Who did he, who are we, I was going to say do you have a Mike Evans moment where you had to be like, yeah, is it you to digs any turned?
- 1:12:30[SPEAKER_03]: No, that was cool.
- 1:12:31[SPEAKER_03]: That was cool.
- 1:12:32[SPEAKER_03]: I like.
- 1:12:32[SPEAKER_03]: Would you ever steal that one or is that, is that doing too much?
- 1:12:35[SPEAKER_04]: No, that's cool.
- 1:12:35[SPEAKER_04]: That's a good one.
- 1:12:36[SPEAKER_04]: I think a lot more people will start using that.
- 1:12:39[SPEAKER_00]: He said he genuinely didn't know that in the press conference.
- 1:12:41[SPEAKER_00]: He said he's like, damn, he's like, me and Trayman cool.
- 1:12:43[SPEAKER_00]: I doubt that.
- 1:12:44[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's why he said that's why he tried to joke about it.
- 1:12:46[SPEAKER_04]: He was like, I don't know, you know, they were certain of 16.
- 1:12:52[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, because he was supposed to be the best.
- 1:12:55[SPEAKER_00]: He just got signed, no, I don't know.
- 1:12:56[SPEAKER_04]: Whether it's for the school, they're better than the quarter.
- 1:12:58[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, I mean, he's pretty damn good.
- 1:13:01[SPEAKER_03]: So you didn't have any like that.
- 1:13:04[SPEAKER_03]: They also top your head, remember like, any fun things you did to a guy or said to a guy?
- 1:13:09[SPEAKER_04]: No, Pirates, I used to talk crazy though.
- 1:13:16[SPEAKER_04]: Who's the old coordinator in Pittsburgh?
- 1:13:20[SPEAKER_03]: Todd Hayley.
- 1:13:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I used to talk crazy the time.
- 1:13:23[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, she came here after, didn't you?
- 1:13:24[SPEAKER_04]: Because I put me to my game one time, like a crackback block over there.
- 1:13:29[SPEAKER_04]: This is before, you know what I'm saying?
- 1:13:31[SPEAKER_04]: You can't do it, man.
- 1:13:32[SPEAKER_04]: But I put him on the game with a percussion.
- 1:13:35[SPEAKER_04]: And after that time, he would send, they would try to go out to my knees, the rest of the game all the time, but I was, I was, I had a man.
- 1:13:44[SPEAKER_03]: Who is your favorite D coordinator you played for?
- 1:13:46[SPEAKER_03]: Because I feel like D coordinators, I mean, I don't have much experience with NFL D coordinators.
- 1:13:52[SPEAKER_03]: The only one I know is Greg Williams and he's a pretty interesting guy.
- 1:13:56[SPEAKER_03]: He's always fired up.
- 1:13:57[SPEAKER_03]: They seem like they tend to be not cases in the best way possible.
- 1:14:01[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, I got the best probably stats with the draw in the 4-3 defense.
- 1:14:12[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, probably the funnest would have been under Ray Horton.
- 1:14:23[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:14:24[SPEAKER_03]: How tough is that for you, especially as a detackle when you flip from a 4-3 to a 3-4?
- 1:14:30[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, it's, it's, it's, it's a difference.
- 1:14:31[SPEAKER_04]: That's for them, sure.
- 1:14:32[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, you, you, you see a lot more tackles than a four or three obviously.
- 1:14:36[SPEAKER_04]: And then, you know, being a zero technique in a three, four, you're going to see a lot more doubles.
- 1:14:44[SPEAKER_03]: Guys, time to score predictions for this weekend.
- 1:14:47[SPEAKER_03]: Browns, Ravens, can I get everyone's score prediction?
- 1:14:50[SPEAKER_03]: And then the guy who's going to make the difference for the Browns.
- 1:14:54[SPEAKER_03]: We're all looking to use a, oh, you want me to go first?
- 1:14:56[SPEAKER_03]: I, I, I think you got to set the tone, right?
- 1:15:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, man, I really wasn't, I wasn't this far ahead in my head.
- 1:15:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like I was on the ravens, but I wasn't here yet Shit, I think I'm a go.
- 1:15:09[SPEAKER_00]: I'm obviously gonna go bronze.
- 1:15:11[SPEAKER_00]: I had them to lose this game, though That's the thing that I'm that's why I have it really fully, you know convince myself
- 1:15:17[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm gonna go browns after a sour taste.
- 1:15:20[SPEAKER_00]: I think this is one of those games where Todd Munkin will get his lick first.
- 1:15:27[SPEAKER_00]: And then when you get to Baltimore, it could be a different story.
- 1:15:29[SPEAKER_00]: But the Browns will wake up for this game.
- 1:15:32[SPEAKER_00]: Give me Browns 2320.
- 1:15:35[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm, oh, how about that, Phil?
- 1:15:42[SPEAKER_04]: You know I got to go with the Browns, too.
- 1:15:44[SPEAKER_04]: But um,
- 1:15:46[SPEAKER_04]: I'm gonna go over the Mars out.
- 1:15:49[SPEAKER_04]: I'm gonna go Brown's 17, Raven's 13.
- 1:15:53[SPEAKER_03]: We might get Lamar my play.
- 1:15:54[SPEAKER_03]: Is that an all-change it?
- 1:15:56[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:15:58[UNKNOWN]: Oh.
- 1:15:59[SPEAKER_04]: If he play, man, he might...
- 1:16:03[SPEAKER_04]: I'ma still go Brown's, but I'ma say...
- 1:16:08[SPEAKER_04]: Browns, 24, Ravens, 21.
- 1:16:15[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, I love it.
- 1:16:17[SPEAKER_03]: I could be blatantly wrong about this, but I feel like Lamar historically plays very poorly against him.
- 1:16:22[SPEAKER_03]: No, don't do it, Jack.
- 1:16:23[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if you're doing this to me.
- 1:16:25[SPEAKER_00]: No, am I wrong?
- 1:16:26[SPEAKER_00]: No, what I'm saying is just play your reverse, Jason, let's get the hell up on it.
- 1:16:29[SPEAKER_03]: Well, that's what I was gonna do.
- 1:16:30[SPEAKER_03]: I was gonna give you a lead course, so not so fast and build it up, but I guess I'll just skip forward to it then.
- 1:16:38[SPEAKER_03]: 20 saddened to 13.
- 1:16:41[SPEAKER_03]: So that way.
- 1:16:42[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we're going to flip it around on it.
- 1:16:46[SPEAKER_00]: I was so tired of y'all.
- 1:16:47[SPEAKER_00]: Nice.
- 1:16:47[SPEAKER_00]: There's a we can't get past the 20 more.
- 1:16:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's just frustrating.
- 1:16:50[SPEAKER_00]: And I know it's been.
- 1:16:51[SPEAKER_03]: I have picked us to score more than 20 points three times this season.
- 1:16:57[SPEAKER_00]: So I need you to do it again.
- 1:16:58[SPEAKER_00]: You just told me not to.
- 1:16:59[SPEAKER_00]: He's only to reverse.
- 1:17:00[SPEAKER_00]: He's done it three times.
- 1:17:01[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, fine.
- 1:17:02[SPEAKER_03]: May 27, Brown's 20.
- 1:17:03[SPEAKER_03]: How about that?
- 1:17:04[SPEAKER_03]: Better, better.
- 1:17:05[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, a little bit.
- 1:17:06[SPEAKER_03]: Last question is always.
- 1:17:07[SPEAKER_03]: You got to flip off football.
- 1:17:08[SPEAKER_03]: Last question can ever be about the sport we just talked about.
- 1:17:11[SPEAKER_03]: Guys, we asked Max Lover earlier.
- 1:17:13[SPEAKER_03]: What would your walk-up song be if you were playing in the ALCS Game 3 in Cleveland?
- 1:17:18[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna keep it in that same boat that same type of old-school vibe.
- 1:17:21[SPEAKER_00]: Give me brains to green day.
- 1:17:23[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, okay.
- 1:17:24[SPEAKER_00]: Having trouble trying to sleep, get up to that plate, you feel me?
- 1:17:27[SPEAKER_00]: I like it.
- 1:17:27[SPEAKER_00]: No problem.
- 1:17:28[SPEAKER_00]: Point right on the drop.
- 1:17:29[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know, man.
- 1:17:31[SPEAKER_03]: Don't be about your time.
- 1:17:33[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, good.
- 1:17:33[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, mine would be money trees by Kendrick Lamar.
- 1:17:38[SPEAKER_00]: He strikes me as a young, cheesy type of guy.
- 1:17:39[SPEAKER_00]: And then what?
- 1:17:41[SPEAKER_00]: Then I'm gonna stack some more.
- 1:17:43[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 1:17:43[SPEAKER_00]: No, you're not a cheesy guy.
- 1:17:46[SPEAKER_04]: I like that joint that the pitcher come in or that doing do the yo-ho Yeah, no, no, no, no, no, no, no one who was the first pitcher there used to come in he used to be the pitcher's intro song I'm a chef once

- 1:18:37[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.

- 1:19:06[SPEAKER_03]: Kevin's a fan.
- 1:19:07[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I just said.
- 1:19:07[SPEAKER_00]: If they're a Browns fan, you're going to want to.
