- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville Jaguar's fans welcome in to do valedalee presented by jing Jack.com.
- 0:04[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jordan Deluggo.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_00]: Sunday January 11th, 418 p.m. as you all know the Jacksonville Jaguars have been eliminated from the 2025 postseason by the Buffalo Bills final score 24 to 27.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_00]: Jaguars could not quite get the job done in the playoffs against the Buffalo Bills.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of the predictions that I had were right there, but there were some things that happened in this game that I certainly did not expect.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_00]: So we're gonna talk about it.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville Jack Wars again, eliminated from postseason contention.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_00]: 2025 season is over for the Jacks 13 and 4, 13 and 5, including the playoffs.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_00]: Buffalo Bills snap a,
- 0:56[SPEAKER_00]: streak that went back to 1992.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_00]: Last time they won a road playoff game.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_00]: Sean McDermott.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_00]: Josh Allen had never won a road playoff game.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: They did it here in Jacksonville today.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_00]: Right now we're going to talk about why that happened in my opinion based on the initial viewing.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_00]: Not listening to any of the like I couldn't hear the
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: announcers couldn't hear or haven't listened to post game press conferences or anything yet just my feelings on this one.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: So really appreciate y'all be in here.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_00]: Look, this is not the end for this regime.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: This is going to be, it should be a fun time period for Jacksonville Jaguar's fans moving forward, but this is a moment to talk about what went wrong today after a season where a lot went
- 1:44[SPEAKER_00]: There's some little moments we can take a look at, but the Jacksonville Jaguars, how do you only run the ball 17 times with your running backs?
- 1:55[SPEAKER_00]: 17 runs with your running backs.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_00]: When Travis E.T.N.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_00]: has 10 carries for 67 yards, basal tuten has four carries for 51 yards.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_00]: And you just don't run the ball way too often.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_00]: The drive where the Jags forced the fumble didn't run the ball at all.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_00]: Shout out to Lee Quint Allen getting that forced fumble on special teams, absolute dog.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_00]: Don't run the ball at all after that.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_00]: And then you have another coaching decision that you can talk about.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_00]: Fourth down, I'm always a...
- 2:35[SPEAKER_00]: fourth and two go for it type of person.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_00]: That's just my nature.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_00]: I'm with it, but people who disagree with that, you can absolutely point to that moment and say, should it take in the points, right?
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: But it all comes back to in my opinion with this game.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: The Jacksonville Jaguars had a decisive advantage on the ground, on offense against the Buffalo Bill's defense.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: The Buffalo Bill's defense could not stop your
- 3:02[SPEAKER_00]: You had 23 carries for 154 yards.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_00]: Again, only 17 carries by running backs.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_00]: Those 17 carries netted over 100, what?
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: 120, 67 plus 51.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_00]: We can do the math on the calculator real quick.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's just,
- 3:26[SPEAKER_00]: How do you not run the ball more?
- 3:28[SPEAKER_00]: And that's 118 yards.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_00]: How do you not run the ball more with those two guys?
- 3:33[SPEAKER_00]: Especially basial.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, basial was ripping every single one of his runs, was the guy was killing it.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_00]: How are you not giving them the ball more?
- 3:41[SPEAKER_00]: And to me, again, that's on Liam Cohen.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_00]: I think that there's a few moment, it's not like this huge sweeping that had to run the ball more the whole game.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's like a few moments here and there
- 3:58[SPEAKER_00]: and they didn't like you can't have a drive with this running game against this rushing defense and not run the ball at all in my opinion.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_00]: Watching the game, I'm sitting there why aren't you running ball, why aren't you running ball, why aren't you running ball?
- 4:14[SPEAKER_00]: And as the game went on, that got exasperated.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_00]: And only 17 rushes for two running backs that are combining, again, 6.7 yards per carry for ETN, 12.8 for twoton, and you don't give them the ball more.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: That's a shame.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_00]: The cam little miss on the 54 yard field goal at the end of the half, he's got to make that.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I know you can sit here and talk about 54 yards.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_00]: That's a long vehicle.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: For cam little, it's not a long field goal.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_00]: That's money, that's money territory for him.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_00]: He's got to make that.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_00]: You have several coverage busts by the defense, uncharacteristic.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_00]: And when I'm talking about a coverage bust, I'm talking about, you have a clear mist assignment.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't someone that got beat one-on-one, that just got out talented or out.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: It was just a mental error, multiple.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: for big plays down the field in this game to Brandon Cook's and Keon Coleman.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: That is not characteristic of this Anthony Campony lay defense, but you saw it today.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: And it reminded you of years past, unfortunately.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_00]: And that was frustrating to see for sure.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_00]: It's like one thing, if Josh Allen is just diamond, like the throw to Brandon Cook's on the sideline where he just put a riding Cook's, I mean, Cook's didn't have to move his hands.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_00]: It was just there.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_00]: If Josh Allen beats you that way, so be it, but if you're just giving him free points, free money, down the field.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_00]: And speaking of free money, I mean, the quarterback's sneak at the end of the game there, about a minute left.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_00]: You let him get down to the one-yard line.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_00]: You either got to let him get into the damn end zone or actually put forth the effort to stop him at the tin or whatever, it was close to the tin.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_00]: That's insane.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_00]: Like you have a chance to get the stop there.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, like after he got down at the one, you had to let him score for sure.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_00]: you had to give yourself a shot, and then you have the Trevor Interception, I'm not talking about the one at the end of the game.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_00]: I have no problem with Trevor Lawrence stretching Jacobi Myers to come down with that football and how kind of like serendipitous is it that the season ended.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence throwing Jacobi Myers over the middle.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_00]: That's been money all year since they landed him since they traded for
- 6:58[SPEAKER_00]: can't battle through it and catch it and uh... that's how it goes that's curtains that's an interception but no the interception for Trevor earlier in the game was the one that was a big mistake and Trevor launched let's be honest for as much praise as i will give him for how he played this year especially down the stretch the back half of the season he was unbelievable he was he certainly
- 7:24[SPEAKER_00]: I think could look across and look at the other quarterback today and say, man, I've got some work to do.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: I've got some work to do because Josh Allen went 28 of 35, 273 yards in a touchdown, was very work when like in a lot of ways.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: He did that without the running game.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: The Jacksonville Jaguar's defense, James Cook only had 15 carries for 46 yards.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: Ash Allen had 11 carries for 33 yards.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_00]: Again, good chunk of that is on that last fricking run.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_00]: Sneak should have ended up one-yard game.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_00]: You can complain about the officials, you can complain about the officiating at times, whatever.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_00]: To me, it goes back to not running the ball enough and making uncharacteristic mistakes.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_00]: That's what it comes back to.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguar has had to run the ball more in this game, and to me that's on the head coach.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: You got it, you just got to do it.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_00]: And look, Liam Cohen's not averse to run in the football.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_00]: The guy loves to run the ball, but I think that he looked at this matchup and said, we can get it done.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence, this passing game can get it done.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: And I think in most days that they got out there and play this defense, they probably do get it done more often than they did today.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_00]: and it's not like they weren't good moments.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_00]: They were absolutely some great moments in the passing game, but Trevor Lawrence, he had balls about it at the line of scrimmage, he had one interception that was a horrible, horrible play.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_00]: Several other throws that were just a little off target.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_00]: And he could have been picked off another time or two, honestly.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_00]: So Trevor Lawrence, this is going to be one he wants back in my opinion.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: We will be certainly tuning in to see what Liam Cohen has to say, Trevor Lawrence, everybody else that we'll speak to the media now in the coming moments and hours and kind of take it all in.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_00]: But I think that the number one issue today was not running the ball more.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: And then there was a lot of other issues, including the quarterback not playing his book.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: And look.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_00]: I said it.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_00]: Before the game, all week, if Trevor Lawrence plays his game, if Trevor Lawrence plays the way that he has played over the last month, the Jaguars will win this game.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_00]: And if that had happened, they would have won the game with ease.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars' defense in my opinion over all did a very good job outside of that quarterback sneak, which was embarrassing.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what they were thinking.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_00]: After Josh Allen got that, I don't know what they were thinking.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: to allow him to get all those yards after that.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_00]: And the offensive line to just push him like, y'all got a man up, or let him get in the end zone.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what the heck.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: They had a, when they got the ball back on offense, they had every opportunity to go get the points they needed to continue that game.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_00]: Again, credit to Tray White, which I've talked about him all week, saying, you know, people talk about him being old, but he's still playing pretty damn good football.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_00]: He played pretty damn good football against Jaguar today.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_00]: Made a huge play.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_00]: there's gonna be a lot more time to talk about this game reflect on this game that's gonna be it for me today really appreciate all tuning in supporting the channel through this season it does mean the world to me obviously I know a lot of y'all are upset I'm upset about it too we'll continue talking about it if y'all enjoy the content please like and subscribe y'all try to have a good one
