- 0:00You're going to have a ton of money to spend.
- 0:01Why not putting in one of the top three offensive players in
- 0:05the league? We're going to be looking at
- 0:14Aaron George and saying that he can't win the big game, Michael
- 0:17Jordan said. I played 82 games.
- 0:20You don't see Levon doing. That a game where?
- 0:23You got to go before I told you, Giant fans.
- 0:26Saquon Parker at this point. Whatever you want.
- 0:42He's the best quarterback in the NFL, really.
- 1:27You're listening to Jabba and the Mouth.
- 1:33Welcome, welcome. Welcome to a new show of Jabba

- 2:09for all our shows is go to our website at
- 2:12www.worldwidesportsradio.com. Speedy, how are you?
- 2:17I'm. Doing all right?
- 2:18Surviving what's? Going on with all these freezes.
- 2:20Yeah, I don't know, maybe the snowstorm has a bigger impact on
- 2:24the outside sources than than we realized right now, but who
- 2:27knows what these? How's the speed, Speedy?
- 2:30The speed. Yeah, the speed of the show here
- 2:32on the Internet. The Internet.
- 2:33Is just fine all. Right.
- 2:34I'm just asking. I'm a little lost 19. .8 today,
- 2:37so there. We go 19.8 so that speed is
- 2:40ultra fast, so it's not on our side.
- 2:43It's not on our side, but we do. We do might have a returning
- 2:46caller to be looking forward to that informed us, and he's
- 2:49pretty fast in his own right when it comes to chasing geese,
- 2:51but hopefully he's not doing that.
- 2:53Oh. Please, I do not want to talk to
- 2:55Kenny. Is that Kenny?
- 2:57Oh, he's. Going to be calling.
- 2:58Oh how wonderful old Kenwood, the gel tap, smelly and
- 3:04wonderful drinking type smoker himself.
- 3:06The 1:00 we call Kenny, I kill Kenny as we all remember that
- 3:11from South Park. Anyways, it's been a crazy
- 3:13weekend. I like I said, we got 14 inches
- 3:16of snow here in Long Island, New York, around the country.
- 3:18It's been bad. You saw him brought in, in
- 3:20Denver in the Broncos game, obviously cost, I believe the
- 3:24Broncos a chance to move on to the Super Bowl.
- 3:26It was a horrible played game. Again, another game that I
- 3:30wouldn't really want to struct, you know, destruct or attack
- 3:36because obviously there's something about that I'm going
- 3:40to get into in just a few moments.
- 3:42But I, I, again, I, I will say this, I, I've never been in a
- 3:46situation where I felt like I was trapped and yesterday with
- 3:51the snow and, and that was, that was the crazy thing my landlord
- 3:54told me yesterday. Listen, Errol park into the
- 3:57driveway because the plows are going to, you know, trap you in.
- 4:01So I, I, what I did was I moved into his driveway, my girlfriend
- 4:04moved into his driveway and I didn't, I, you know, when the
- 4:08weatherman, they tell you weather women, they say, oh,
- 4:10we're going to get a lot of snow.
- 4:11And usually they're absolutely wrong.
- 4:14Usually actually, most of the time they're absolutely wrong.
- 4:19Well, they weren't wrong today or yesterday.
- 4:22And we're getting more snow by the way, tonight I, I, I heard
- 4:24we might get an extra inch or two here in Long Island, a
- 4:27little bit late night. I, I saw a little snow before I,
- 4:30I pulled in, but nevertheless, I was trapped yesterday.
- 4:34And when I get trapped, I'm a Walker.
- 4:36So I don't like to sit around. I don't like to.
- 4:39It's crazy that I sit on this show for about 3 1/2 four hours.
- 4:42And usually when we do the sportsman, I'm getting up, I'm
- 4:45running to the bathroom, I'm doing something because I do not
- 4:47like to sit in one freaking place.
- 4:50So what I usually do is I pace myself and I have a treadmill in
- 4:54my, in my apartment. So I, but the, the one thing
- 4:57about the treadmill is I, I just don't feel right.
- 5:00If I'm going to be on a treadmill, I might as well walk
- 5:02around my living room and my, my dining room table.
- 5:05So yesterday I have so I have this watch on and what it's a
- 5:11Samsung watch and I usually clock how many miles I go every
- 5:15single day, how many steps I have every single day.
- 5:18So if I don't break 17,000 steps, I am walking probably 2-3
- 5:25hours until I hit that number. So yesterday, because I never
- 5:28got a chance to walk, I was going around my dining room
- 5:32table about I, I, I don't know, I can't even count probably like
- 5:363-4 hundred times, maybe even more than that.
- 5:38It was very weird. And Brittany was telling me, why
- 5:41don't you sit down, you're fidgety.
- 5:43And that's the thing. If I don't hit my 17,000 steps,
- 5:47I am not going to relax. I'm not going to sit down and
- 5:50I'm watching the game while I'm walking around the table.
- 5:54So it's a very weird situation and anybody that watches me do
- 5:57something like that would probably think I'm a psychopath.
- 5:59But nevertheless, I got my steps in at 18,493 steps today.
- 6:05I am at, let's see, I'm at 12,562.
- 6:11So you know what that means. Ladies and gentlemen, after the
- 6:13show, Mr. Marks is going outside and doing his little pace walk
- 6:18around the couple of blocks and then getting myself, you know,
- 6:21my 17,000 steps, so speedy. Do you ever count your steps?
- 6:25Your miles? I do not but my my parents did
- 6:27for a while and they they were like all in a quest one time
- 6:30when we were in Boston against 20,000 and then my mom was so
- 6:33puzzled with how my father got there when he has like such a
- 6:35bigger strides than her. Yeah, well, I, I don't know if
- 6:38it's the strides or if it matters.
- 6:39I these watches, I don't know how they, I guess calculate how
- 6:44many steps you make. Maybe it's your heartbeat.
- 6:45I, it's weird. I I cuz I know when I'm walking
- 6:49on a treadmill, I'm walking outside, I'm counting how many
- 6:52steps I'm making and sometimes this is like 5-6 steps off.
- 6:56So it's not precise. And I have one of the best
- 6:59watches when it comes to calculating walk walks and steps
- 7:03and miles. It's I guess it's not 100%
- 7:06foolproof but that's what I do. So tonight, even if it's snowing
- 7:11a little bit, I'm going to put on a nice jacket and I'll be
- 7:13outside. There's not not a lot of snow on
- 7:15the ground anymore. At least we plowed it.
- 7:17So I will be walking around at least a couple of blocks to get
- 7:20to that 17,000. As we always say, there was
- 7:24plenty of offense in the NFC Championship Game at AS Seattle.
- 7:29The Seattle Seahawks defeated the LA Rams 31 to 27 to reach
- 7:33the Super Bowl for the first time since 2014.
- 7:36Both teams, both teams superstar receivers showed why they were
- 7:42first team all pros as Jackson Jig.
- 7:46I call him Jackson Jig, but I'm not going to call him.
- 7:49I'm going to give him his full name as we're putting his full
- 7:52name. Actually, I'm going to call him.
- 7:53GSN had 10 catches for 153 yards and a key touchdown before they
- 7:59half. Puka Nakua had 9 catches for 165
- 8:02yards and a touchdown. Burning cornerback Tyreke Woolen
- 8:06and I'll get into that, which was an absolute debacle by him.
- 8:10One play after he got a taunting penalty which extended the Rams
- 8:16drive keeping them in the game. Both quarterbacks played great.
- 8:21The MVP favorite Matthew Stafford throwing for 374 yards
- 8:25and three touchdowns while Sam Darnold, yes you heard it, Sammy
- 8:29baby, which I'm I'm about to hurl finally solved his Sean
- 8:34McKay situation and the defense and had 346 yards and three
- 8:39touchdowns. The the biggest play in the game
- 8:44was a special teams blunder by the Rams punt returner Xavier
- 8:48Smith muffing A punt deep in their own territory, putting the
- 8:52Rams behind and playing catch up the rest of the game.
- 8:57Rams coach Sean McVeigh received criticism on two things in the
- 9:02fourth quarter, going for the 4th and four from the six yard
- 9:06line down by 4 rather than kicking a field goal and using a
- 9:10time out rather than challenging A controversial catch by Cooper
- 9:15Cup on the following drive, the Seahawks opened as a - 4.5
- 9:20favorite for the Super Bowl against the Patriots, who they
- 9:24famously lost against Malcolm Butler's interception, as we
- 9:29remember in Super Bowl in the Super Bowl back in 2014.
- 9:35All right, this was a great game.
- 9:39It was offense versus offense, and when the Seattle Seahawks
- 9:43needed to make a defensive play, they did the the part of this
- 9:46game that really stood out to me was that blunder by Woollen.
- 9:51Woollen was taunting the Rams after it was fourth and 12.
- 9:56They were getting off the field after he was the guy that
- 9:59stopped Pukanukua. He went over there to the Rams
- 10:04sidelines and started talking a lot of crap and what did the
- 10:08referees do? They called him for a 20
- 10:11penalty, which is 15 yards, put him in position on the 30.
- 10:14And what did Matthew Stafford do after that?
- 10:18He forced the ball to Pokanukua and he made an unbelievable
- 10:21grab. I'm going to say this.
- 10:25Mistakes could cost a team A championship.
- 10:29And then we saw a lot of players on the sidelines attacking
- 10:32Woolen, and they were pulling some of the players away from
- 10:34Woolen because Woolen was, you know, yapping his mouth.
- 10:37And Woolen, Tyree Woolen is one of the best corners in the
- 10:40league. He's one of the best secondary
- 10:42players. You can put him at safety.
- 10:43We seen them do that. He plays corner.
- 10:46He plays multiple positions on this team and on this roster.
- 10:48He is a big part of why the Seattle Seahawks are as good as
- 10:53they are. They're not the Legion of Boom
- 10:54as far as the secondary is concerned, but they're very
- 10:57talented, very fast. But here's the thing.
- 11:02Sean McVeigh has had Sam Darnold's number for the last
- 11:05couple of years when he was with Minnesota and now that he's been
- 11:10with the Seattle Seahawks, they played him twice this year.
- 11:15And you know, Sam has made a lot of mistakes in those games.
- 11:19But in this game, in the biggest time, in the biggest position of
- 11:22his career, he needed to show up.
- 11:24And boy oh boy did this man show up.
- 11:28I don't know if anybody knows this.
- 11:30Sam Darnold in the last three seasons of football has over 30
- 11:34wins and only 7 losses. 30 wins and seven losses.
- 11:41Think about that. Sam Darnold has been as elite in
- 11:47the NFL in the last three years as any quarterback in the
- 11:50league. I'm talking about the San
- 11:52Francisco time. I'm talking about his time with
- 11:54Minnesota, and now I'm talking about his time now with the
- 11:58Seattle Seahawks. He has been as good as any
- 12:03quarterback in the NFL in the last three years or 2 1/2 years
- 12:07because he was only playing for San Francisco for half a season.
- 12:12The fact here is he found himself.
- 12:16It took him a while. I have a story that's up on the
- 12:18Worldwide Sports Radio Network. You can check it out.
- 12:21As a Jet fan, you can't be happy.
- 12:24You do not want to see Sam Darnold as much as I'm going to
- 12:26be rooting for Sam to knock off the Patriots.
- 12:28You do not want to see Sam Darnold go and ride off into the
- 12:31sunset and win a Super Bowl when The Jets, that could have been,
- 12:34The Jets could have if The Jets decided not to trade up for a
- 12:39second and a fourth round pick. But here's the facts.
- 12:46Devante Adams had a couple of good grabs, but here is why they
- 12:51lost the game. This is why the Rams lost the
- 12:53game. Sean Mcveigh's play calling.
- 12:55You want to you want to go after guys like Sean Payton.
- 12:58Maybe it was, it was just the weekend for the Sean's that just
- 13:01screwed up. Sean Payton didn't make the
- 13:03right calls in positions that he should have made the right calls
- 13:07in a game that was very, very close.
- 13:08And the same thing goes for Sean McVeigh.
- 13:11Sean McVeigh had a lot of blunders in this game and not
- 13:13even the ones that were in the fourth quarter before the half
- 13:17was over, he there was a lot of questions on some of his play
- 13:21calling. And, and obviously you saw
- 13:23Matthew Stafford once again calling and putting his hands up
- 13:25and saying, I got this, I got this, I got this.
- 13:28Sean Payton and Matthew Stafford has had problems all season long
- 13:33figuring out who's calling the plays in the huddle.
- 13:36And you saw it again in the NFC title game.
- 13:40Now, that doesn't mean that this can't work.
- 13:41That doesn't mean that the Rams can't run it back next year with
- 13:44Devante Adams and and win a Super Bowl.
- 13:46They absolutely could. And I think Matthew Stafford had
- 13:49one of his best seasons of his career.
- 13:51So why couldn't he do it again next year if he wants to?
- 13:53He is going to be 38 next year. The fact here is the secondary
- 14:00players besides Nejigba, besides Puka, the secondary players on
- 14:07the Seattle Seahawks were better than the secondary players on
- 14:12the Rams. Walker was unbelievable.
- 14:16Unbelievable running through the the defensive line of the Rams.
- 14:20The Rams defense has not looked good in about 3 weeks, 4 weeks.
- 14:25They have been bad since the last two or three games of the
- 14:29season. I don't know what happened to
- 14:31their defense. This defense was elite, elite
- 14:35all season long. This was one of the better
- 14:37defenses in the league. And I don't know what happened
- 14:39to Sean McVay and and and the way they were calling plays all
- 14:42throughout the playoffs, but they were not good cuz Walker
- 14:47was just doing whatever he wanted on the ground.
- 14:50Whatever he wanted, he wanted to run through.
- 14:52He wanted to find. He found holes.
- 14:54This offensive line, by the way, Seattle's offensive line, they
- 14:57didn't have a they've never had an offensive line with the
- 14:59Legion of Boom in the 2014 season.
- 15:02This offensive line is the best offensive line the Seattle
- 15:05Seahawks have ever have since they're since I remember their
- 15:08existence since I was a kid with Sean Alexander on the team.
- 15:12This is the best offensive line that I have seen the Seattle
- 15:16Seahawks have and it showed. It showed on Sunday.
- 15:21And they love Sam Donald. His team mates love Sam Donald.
- 15:25Sam Darnold loves where he is. And you look at you look back
- 15:30right now of Matthew Stafford's year.
- 15:32I'm not going to blame Matthew Stafford for this loss.
- 15:35This isn't Matthew Stafford's fault fault.
- 15:37This isn't Puka Nakua's fault. This isn't Devante Adam's fault.
- 15:42This is the coaching staff. They had a chance to win the
- 15:45game. They made mistakes.
- 15:48Teams make mistakes. Champions don't.
- 15:51Sean McVeigh is a champion. Matthew Stafford is a champion.
- 15:54Like I said, I'm not blaming Matthew Stafford, but Sean
- 15:57Mcveigh's been there before. He understands how to win these
- 16:01close games. You have McDonald, who's never
- 16:03been in a game like this before in his career as a head coach
- 16:06ever, ever. And he out coached and out
- 16:11dueled one of the best offensive minds in the NFL right now.
- 16:17And I'll say this about Sean McVeigh.
- 16:20Sean McVeigh has won a Super Bowl, so I'm not going to take
- 16:22shots at him. He's not Kyle Shanahan.
- 16:24He's not Kyle Shanahan has been to three Super Bowls and two as
- 16:29a head coach and one as an offensive coordinator and he's
- 16:31failed. This man has been to two Super
- 16:35Bowls, lost one and won one. And he had a chance to go to his
- 16:39third Super Bowl in about, I would say 10 years.
- 16:43That's a lot for 10 years, and he's failed to do it except once
- 16:47to win one. And again, I'm going back to the
- 16:52Seahawks. The Seahawks did everything
- 16:54right except some of the play, you know, the penalties that
- 16:58were handed to their defense. There was a lot of chatter,
- 17:00there was a lot of back and forth pushing after the play.
- 17:03Seattle was behind it. And Seattle's always been known
- 17:06to do that. And McDonald preaches that.
- 17:08Anybody that's watched Seattle all season long, after the game,
- 17:11you listen to McDonald's conference or his his press
- 17:13conferences, media conferences or even when he's talking to his
- 17:17team, he wants them to play hard.
- 17:19He wants them to play rough. That's the way he he coaches
- 17:23these guys. And I believe the Baltimore
- 17:25Ravens lost that when McDonald decided to take the coaching job
- 17:29over there in Seattle. This team believes in
- 17:32themselves. This team understands the talent
- 17:35that they have. And Najig Bush showed you why he
- 17:38is an elite wide receiver. Najig Bush showed you why they
- 17:41decided to part ways with DK Mccaff.
- 17:46Now, I don't know if Schneider believed that Najigba was going
- 17:49to be this good. I didn't think that Najigba was
- 17:51going to be this good. I know he came from Ohio State
- 17:54and a lot of successful wide receivers came from Ohio State.
- 17:57But I did not think at one point in his career he was going to
- 18:02have over 2, almost close to 2000 yards and was going to be
- 18:05one of the top three wide receivers in the league.
- 18:07And he was going to be one of the top five, three or five wide
- 18:10receivers in the league for the next 10 years if he keeps this
- 18:14up. He's still fairly very young,
- 18:162425 years old. He could play another 10 years
- 18:19at the way he plays his game. He's one of the best route
- 18:22runners I've ever seen ever seen.
- 18:25And I he has one on his team that arguably was the best route
- 18:28runner in the league for three years and he's done it and he
- 18:31did it in Wisconsin. Well, I'm not Wisconsin.
- 18:34I'm sorry. Washington in his hometown,
- 18:36knocking off his team in the Rams, who drafted him in the
- 18:40fourth round? Yes, Cooper Cup.
- 18:42Who, by the way, had an important touchdown in this
- 18:44game. Cooper Cup gave the Rams the one
- 18:49thing the Rams thought that Cooper Cup couldn't do anymore
- 18:54gave them points. And boy, those points meant
- 18:58everything. Because after the the Woolen
- 19:01penalty and Puka Nakua putting in the end zone, it looked like
- 19:04everything was favoring back to the Rams side.
- 19:08But it didn't. You know why?
- 19:10Sam Darnold. Sam Darnold was the factor of
- 19:13this game. It was.
- 19:15It was not a Jigbar. It wasn't Walker and what how he
- 19:18ran the ball. It was his presence, his
- 19:22understanding how to run this offense, his understanding on
- 19:26the the the essence of playing this position at a high level.
- 19:31And nobody in New York thought that this kid could do that.
- 19:34Nobody. He saw ghosts in New England and
- 19:39he's known for that. He'll always be known for that.
- 19:42And he's got a chance to end those ghosts and those calls and
- 19:45those stories if he knocks off the same team that he said that
- 19:48against after the game. And that's the new one of the
- 19:51Patriots. And boy, oh, boy, that would be
- 19:53great to see Sam Darnold ending the Patriots season and telling
- 19:57him to say Sarah, Sarah, you know, and sing that song because
- 20:02he'll be hoisting that Lombardi trophy.
- 20:04And he says there's no more ghosts.
- 20:07There's just angels. He has been everything.
- 20:11To the Seattle Seahawks all season long.
- 20:15I love the kid. I always did love the kid.
- 20:17I didn't want The Jets to trade him.
- 20:19It bothered me when The Jets traded him.
- 20:21I liked Zach Wilson. I did, but I didn't think he was
- 20:23going to be Sam Donald. I there was something about Sam
- 20:25Donald. All those times that everybody
- 20:28was talking about The Jets season.
- 20:29Suck for suck for Sam, suck for Sam.
- 20:32They did and teams passed up on him.
- 20:34The Browns passed up on him. He they drafted Baker Mayfield
- 20:38and the Giants didn't need a quarterback at the time.
- 20:41I knew The Jets were getting Sam Donald.
- 20:44I knew it and every Jet fan was happy.
- 20:48And to this day, I wonder if The Jets are thinking maybe that was
- 20:53the wrong decision. Joe Douglas, after Sam Donald
- 20:56winning that game last today, was that the right move for the
- 20:59New York Jets organization? They never gave him anything.
- 21:03Who is his best wide receiver? Robbie Anderson.
- 21:06Robbie Anderson. Look who he's drawing to right
- 21:08now. Jackson Smith Najigba.
- 21:12Robbie Anderson couldn't shine his friggin underwear.
- 21:15If even Robbie Anderson couldn't even shine his like.
- 21:17Jock Stride? No, except all the times he's
- 21:19been arrested after the season and and how many times The Jets
- 21:22have gotten him out of trouble. And how many times he's changed
- 21:24his name now? That's true too.
- 21:25The chosen 1, Mr. Anderson. He's chosen all right, Chosen
- 21:30for something absolutely false. The fact here is the reason why
- 21:36the Seattle Seahawks won this game is no other or no argument
- 21:39to Sam Darnold and his play throughout the playoffs,
- 21:42throughout the season and what this guy stands for.
- 21:45I don't think we'll ever see a player be thrown away by not
- 21:50one, not 2, not 3, but four teams before he found his way to
- 21:56the Seahawks and gave him a chance, gave him a three-year,
- 21:59$100 million contract. And by the way, Schneider, who I
- 22:01think is the best GM in football, him and the Eagles,
- 22:06Roseman, those are the two best GMs in football.
- 22:09Football Roseman's been there a long, long time for the Eagles
- 22:12and Schneider's been there since I, I think it's like 2010, 2009
- 22:17over there with the Seattle Seahawks.
- 22:18He's been there over 1516 years. Schneider has been the
- 22:21mastermind of this this organization in this team and
- 22:24this rebuilding stage. When he decided to part ways
- 22:27with Pete Carroll, started to thought of parting his ways with
- 22:30Russell Wilson. Nobody has changed an
- 22:33organization around as quick and as efficient as Schneider has
- 22:37with the Seattle Seahawks. Yeah, you mentioned like those
- 22:40kinds of quick changes. You don't you see teams not be
- 22:42bad for a while and the Eagles and the Seahawks both fall into
- 22:45that mold very well because they had when Pete Carroll got
- 22:48higher, they had one non playoff year than the second year
- 22:50Russell Wilson. They went to the playoffs three
- 22:52years, they win a Super Bowl and then again they would they trade
- 22:55Russell Wilson. Seattle still makes the playoffs
- 22:57the first year with Geno Smith and the last playoff team in.
- 22:59And for a while they were one of the best teams in the NFC until
- 23:02they fell off in the second-half.
- 23:03And then even when they fired Pete Carroll.
- 23:05MMMM McDonald. He had one good year as a Ravens
- 23:08defensive coordinator. I was bashing him a lot for the
- 23:10first year when the Ravens were blowing all these leads,
- 23:13including one against the Giants when they were when they were up
- 23:15by 12 or something. And that's one of those things
- 23:18where it didn't seem like it was head coaching material.
- 23:20Then ten and seven that first year, they looked pretty good.
- 23:23And you mentioned Wollen too. Wollen was having a lot of like
- 23:25disciplinary issues too at that at the time.
- 23:28And that was a big reason they almost treated him.
- 23:29And then obviously the disciplinary issues came back in
- 23:31that game, but the rest of that secondary still played very
- 23:34well. And John Schneider for a while,
- 23:35remember when Russell Wilson was there, they were drafting really
- 23:37unconventionally at times too. Then they actually drafted with
- 23:40really good value. And look how good of a team that
- 23:42they've built. But the biggest thing you
- 23:43mentioned, I think, is the secondary targets.
- 23:45Sam Darnold trusting those secondary targets, Jake Bobo who
- 23:49had four catches all year, catches A touchdown cup was not
- 23:51as good as he has been in years past but was valuable in this
- 23:54game. The tight end play was very good
- 23:56for Seattle and Kenneth Walker too.
- 23:57Like you were saying, those second effort he got on those
- 23:59runs were incredible too because the right right side of the
- 24:01Seahawks offensive line was unblocked, letting the defenders
- 24:04and unblocked. Yet Walker was making those guys
- 24:06miss. Now on to McVeigh.
- 24:08McVeigh I don't think the biggest issue was the two that
- 24:10we listed in the read off was the end of the first half with
- 24:13the second questionable clock management that they had there
- 24:17with the ball back in their own territory.
- 24:18And I usually don't agree with Tom Brady because I like Tom
- 24:20Brady's a broadcaster, but he was right in that instance.
- 24:22Like why are these? Been good this year.
- 24:24I liked his call and his play calling in this game.
- 24:26Yeah, I did. He was right though in the sense
- 24:28of there was no reason to force to have to throw the ball when
- 24:31you didn't have a great run on the first down.
- 24:33They had a three yard run on the first down and then they tried
- 24:34to throw the ball after that. Then Seattle has a lot of time
- 24:37on the clock, all three timeouts and they end up getting a
- 24:39touchdown at the end of the half.
- 24:40I'm OK with him going for it on 4th down by 4.
- 24:42That was OK. It was under 5 minutes.
- 24:44It was 7 or 8 minutes ago. I'm OK with taking a field goal
- 24:474 minutes. You're probably not getting the
- 24:48ball back because Seattle was moving the ball very
- 24:51methodically. And then the the catch I thought
- 24:53was a catch. I mean, yeah, OK, challenge, I
- 24:55guess, fine. But I thought it was a catch.
- 24:56I don't think it was really that big of a deal.
- 24:58But yeah, that I think was the biggest thing that cost McVeigh.
- 25:00And you're right, McVeigh normally has been good in the
- 25:04fourth quarter this year and he wasn't.
- 25:06He kind of got back to those early career yips that he had in
- 25:10terms of game management when he should have lost the same.
- 25:12They got gifted that Super Bowl too, remember?
- 25:14And he had some other bad playoff losses.
- 25:17If it wasn't for Puka Nakua I don't think the game would have
- 25:20been close to be honest with you.
- 25:22The fact that he dusted Woolen like he did the play after
- 25:26Woolen gets the tawning penalty gets them off the hook.
- 25:29So they it was a 2 score game before that and then they get
- 25:32they get right back into it. It was a ridiculous move.
- 25:35Left a really good corner in his dust.
- 25:37And I mean, two of the worst plays you could have
- 25:39back-to-back as a player, but he rallied, he kept playing.
- 25:43You got to give the guy a lot of credit.
- 25:45That Seattle defense shaking it off again, I'm sure that the
- 25:49guys had thing, I think it was Nick Manawari had plenty to say
- 25:53on the sidelines to him, you know.
- 25:54But look, you said you made a really great point Errol earlier
- 25:57about in Jigba and then he was fantastic, made his great one
- 26:01handed catcher in the game that was.
- 26:02Unbelievable. Game just crazy talented.
- 26:05Had the big touchdown at the end going into the half, you know,
- 26:09which I think was probably the most important play in the game
- 26:12would came down to it besides the muff punt, which just I
- 26:16think they just couldn't afford to have the way that that
- 26:18Seattle offense was playing. But it doesn't matter if Sam
- 26:23Darnold isn't playing the way he's playing.
- 26:24Let's just take a look at how Justin Jefferson played this
- 26:28year without Sam Darnold. We can use this is a great
- 26:30comparison because it's the same quarterback.
- 26:32Everybody knows Justin Jefferson is one of the three best
- 26:35receivers in all football. No question, There's no
- 26:37question. Most talented.
- 26:39But he was like the 20. What was he finished and
- 26:41finished 30th, the 25th or something.
- 26:44Best receiver? Well, it's because he had nobody
- 26:46throwing to him. I mean, now you, you, you redo
- 26:48this if the the idea that someone would take JJ McCarthy
- 26:52over Sam Darnold is just a freaking joke.
- 26:55Unbelievable mistake by the Minnesota general manager.
- 26:59I don't know how that guy still has a job right now.
- 27:01That is just embarrassing because I mean, Wandale Robinson
- 27:05had better stats than Justin Jefferson this year and he
- 27:09didn't really have a quarterback either this season.
- 27:11And that's kind of crazy that they're able to turn look, and
- 27:16Jigbo is a very good player, but you need to have the quarterback
- 27:20to unlock a guy like that. And it's just an unbelievable
- 27:23job by Darnold, who finally solved Nick Bayes defense.
- 27:27Whatever it was that was holding him back, he was ready this
- 27:30time. And you got to credit that to
- 27:32their coaching staff. We got to mention the name Clint
- 27:34Kubiak because Clint Kubiak. Who will have a job next year?
- 27:38He will not have a job this year.
- 27:39I think they'll wait. Clint Kubiak, do not take that
- 27:42Brown's job. Do not take that Brown's.
- 27:45Job if he's if they if they wait, it could be the bills
- 27:48waiting for him. No, it's the only job.
- 27:50That makes. Sense for me for.
- 27:51Him, I've heard, I've heard that Dabel is the favorite and I
- 27:55think that's who's getting the job.
- 27:56That's what I heard. Dabel is the favorite and it
- 27:58might be announced by the end of this week.
- 28:01I know you're laughing, but. I'm not laughing.
- 28:04I'm just like, I have a sports minute related to this we'll
- 28:08talk about in a little bit. But it's just it's just wild
- 28:11that the Bills decided to move on from McDermott for Dabel.
- 28:14I just. That doesn't make sense to me.
- 28:16Brady is still interviewing for the Raiders.
- 28:18I think he has a second interview.
- 28:20So I Brady could take that Raiders job and then get his
- 28:24chance to get Mendoza and have a rookie quarterback that can help
- 28:27build. So that might be something that
- 28:30Brady is interested and intrigued to take and what we're
- 28:33going to be getting on in a just a few moments with a Raiders
- 28:36running back who's a Long Island native.
- 28:38So in just a few moments. But yeah, yeah, I I think it's
- 28:41crazy and, and again, it was a battle of two different teams
- 28:45and two different personalities as coaches.
- 28:47I think McDonald out out coached Sean McVay and a rookie coach
- 28:52and he's not a rookie. He's only been the coach for
- 28:54three years, but I, I still think he's still a rookie in the
- 28:58position that he's in. And, and you can see that John
- 29:01Harbaugh has not been the same coach since McDonald decided to
- 29:04part ways and go over there to the Seattle Seahawks.
- 29:06And I'm telling you right now, he was the mastermind of that
- 29:09defense all those years. And, and Fish, I remember when
- 29:11you started here, you loved McDonald's and you loved the
- 29:14hire. You loved the hire from the
- 29:16Seahawks when McDonald decided to go to the Seahawks and take
- 29:19that job. And I didn't think it was going
- 29:21to be this quick. I thought it was going to be
- 29:22another maybe two more years, Sam.
- 29:25But it's gone so fast. And the reason why is they found
- 29:29a franchise quarterback, a guy that should have been in one
- 29:34organ with one more organization still at this point.
- 29:36But that organization decided to part ways.
- 29:38And yes, Jet fans, I'm going to attack you guys and attack the
- 29:42management and ownership because you guys pushed him out.
- 29:45You guys and stupid analysts out there.
- 29:48Oh, we're done with Sam. We're done with Sam.
- 29:51Now you're seeing why Sam was so special and why he was a top
- 29:53five pick. That's it, That's it.
- 29:56That's all I'm going to say about that.
- 29:58All right, ladies and gentlemen, my golf clap of the deck.
- 30:02This deserves a golf clap. No doubt.
- 30:05Golf clap, Golf clap news came out on the flag football game,
- 30:11ladies and gentlemen, something very unique, something very
- 30:16interesting, something very stupid by the NFL as they
- 30:21announced a quarterback to be named today to fill in for
- 30:26another quarterback that decided he didn't want to play the flag
- 30:28football game. And you know who they picked out
- 30:30of all the quarterbacks they can pick out of for all against
- 30:35against some of the elite players in the NFL in this flag
- 30:38football game, they picked Chidor friggin Sanders.
- 30:43What the hell is the NFL? What the hell is I say the NFL?
- 30:49What the hell is the round table of execs sitting here?
- 30:52I don't know who's choosing who is playing in this game.
- 30:55I don't give a crap the fact that Shadora Sanders, who was
- 30:58just absolutely horrible all season long for the Browns to
- 31:03get picked out of all the court of dude, I would have picked
- 31:06Russell Wilson as a backup quarterback to play in this
- 31:09game. I don't want to see sure Shadora
- 31:11Sanders, he was a third string quarterback.
- 31:13I don't care if he was the the fifth highest jersey sales in
- 31:17the NFL this year. I could careless.
- 31:19I don't want to see Shaddor Sanders there and I know why the
- 31:22NFL did it. I know because his jersey sales
- 31:25and because fans want to see Shitdor Sanders and Deion
- 31:28Sanders go to the game. I don't care I'm going to be in
- 31:31San Francisco and I'm going to friggin hurl.
- 31:33So my golf clap of the day is not a golf clap.
- 31:36It's a dump crap because the NFL is stupid, the Browns are even
- 31:40Dumber, and the organization of the Browns will never find a
- 31:42coach. And if they do, well, I don't
- 31:45know how many essays you need a ride to get that job.
- 31:47Ladies and gentlemen, my Golf Club goes to short Shaddor
- 31:50Sanders as an absolute debacle for the NFL pro ball game.
- 31:56That's it, I'm done with it. I'm done with Shaddor Sanders.
- 31:59Thank God the season is over. Thank you to all the fans on all
- 32:03the platforms from Spotify and Apple, TikTok, Instagram X
- 32:08YouTube, Jabba in the mouth and all the different platforms that
- 32:12we're on. We really appreciate you guys
- 32:13and stay tuned for some great shows this year and great
- 32:17opportunities to see what we're going to be doing.
- 32:19And, and I believe it's sometime this year, we're going to be
- 32:22positioned into maybe a huge announcement.
- 32:27So just looking forward to a great year and I hope everybody
- 32:30enjoys our show. We put a lot of time and effort
- 32:32and work into this and it's not you're just going to throw slop
- 32:36on the and hopefully it sticks. It's not like that.
- 32:39This show is not like that. It's hard work, dedication, all
- 32:41the guys, speedy and fish and all the guys that work on the
- 32:46back end to help this show really, you know, become
- 32:49something of not only just, you know, I believe one of the best
- 32:53shows in America, but one of the shows that I think people are
- 32:57copycatting and and trying to make their own, which is
- 33:01pathetic. And, and you know who I'm
- 33:03talking about? I don't even have to mention it.
- 33:05All you people out there that are trying to copycat us because
- 33:09you're just shamefully shameful enough to know that you have no
- 33:14create, create creativity, ability to go out there and and
- 33:19put the the time and effort into working and figuring out how you
- 33:22could be yourselves. So that's all I'm going to say.
- 33:24I almost stuttered on that, but that's it for our show.
- 33:27Speedy, who do we have on tomorrow, Thursday?
- 33:29Time to be determined. Still on, but he is coming.
- 33:31Come on. He just converted two hours ago.
- 33:32He's be good to go. Our friend Mr. Foyer, Luke and
- 33:35Jaguars. Linebacker.
- 33:36All right, Foyer is going to be joining us.
- 33:37We'll talk about the Jaguars, their season.
- 33:40Obviously, you know the Travis Hunter, the Gremlin, you know,
- 33:44his quarterback that's had a pretty good second-half of the
- 33:47season. So a lot to get into it with
- 33:48Foyer. I'm sure he's going to laugh as
- 33:50he always does when he comes on the show.
- 33:52All right, that's it for a show. Ladies and gentlemen, we'll see
- 33:55you Thursday. Goodnight.
- 33:56You're listening to the Worldwide Sports Radio Network.
