Happy Wednesday morning. Everybody from Grand Cayman
• 0:05
Islands got some big ships parked next to us, and there's
• 0:10
the island right over there. It's always so beautiful.
• 0:16
Boy, we got a special 1 today. I am with my friend Ed Balkovic.
• 0:23
We're in his room. I said, Eddie, you want to do
• 0:26
coffee with Kenny? And he said, come on, buddy,
• 0:29
let's do it. So there's the legend.
• 0:32
There's his wife. Look at there, Diane and Ed
• 0:36
Balkovic, good friends of mine, Ed and Diane.
• 0:42
Diane, when you get a chance, maybe shut that door.
• 0:44
  I don't want the. I don't want the.
• 0:46
I don't want the. How you doing, sweetheart?
• 0:48
Hey, how are you? Are you going on?
• 0:49
Are you going on the island today?
• 0:51
Yes, I am. We're going on the beach.
• 0:52
All right, All right, here's my long time friend, the great Ed
• 0:58
Balkovic, Eddie. Eddie got the sticker ready to
• 1:01
go and. My Coffee with Kenny shirt.
• 1:03
Oh, looky there. Hey, by the way, shop
• 1:07
kennywallace.com is doing a hell of a business.
• 1:10
Eddie, Are you ready to do coffee with Kenny?
• 1:13
Yes, I am. Let's get right to it,
• 1:15
  everybody. All right?
• 1:17
We got a lot to get to today. We're going to try to do it
• 1:19
  right and efficient. OK?
• 1:22
Yesterday, Nas Court, that's what we're calling it, NASCAR,
• 1:27
but they're in court. Get it?
• 1:28
NASCART boy, Eddie, the big one to me right away was they showed
• 1:34
Rick Hendrick wrote a letter to the owner of NASCAR.
• 1:38
Rick Hendrick wrote a letter to Jim France.
• 1:40
Did you read it? Nope, I didn't read it yet.
• 1:42
Eddie, I love. I love it.
• 1:44
Eddie, I love. You helped me advertise, OK?
• 1:47
Rick Hendrick says. Mr. France, I admire you for
• 1:51
what you've done for NASCAR. Your family's awesome.
• 1:54
However, your business model right now is not sustainable.
• 2:00
And we won two championships in five years and we lost $20
• 2:06
million. And Eddie, this letter went on
• 2:11
the the letter was rough because Rick Hendrick choose Jim Francis
• 2:15
ass out the letters out there for everybody to see.
• 2:19
It came out late last night and Rick, Rick Hendrick says, Jim, I
• 2:23
don't like it that you are always on all of our asses that
• 2:28
we don't do enough for NASCAR, he says.
• 2:31
We tried to hold hold ourselves to the highest standards.
• 2:35
Our drivers work hard for NASCAR, but you know, you need
• 2:41
to quit roughing us up and we need to have a meeting and get
• 2:44
together right now. And this letter, I paraphrase
• 2:48
it, if this is on YouTube, you know, my Charlie model most
• 2:53
likely is going to drop it right in.
• 2:54
But Eddie Rick Hendrick says that in in five years they won
• 3:00
two championships. I'm sure that was with Chase
• 3:03
Elliott and would have been Kyle Larson.
• 3:08
How would you like to won two NASCAR championships and lost
• 3:12
$20 million? But as you always tell me,
• 3:15
Kenny, money buys speed. It really does.
• 3:19
And I guess 20 million buys a lot of speed.
• 3:21
Well, you know, what happens is it's like father John said, you
• 3:24
know, he said be careful competition to kill.
• 3:27
You see, you know, Mr. H is there getting his ass beat by,
• 3:32
you know, say Joe Gibbs race and it's it's a monkey see, monkey
• 3:35
do business. But man, I'm I'm going to end
• 3:38
this segment like this. I told all of you that Michael
• 3:43
Jordan was only the scapegoat. I told you that.
• 3:47
And now you see that Richard Schiller is pissed.
• 3:50
He didn't want to sign it. And this letter comes out.
• 3:53
So it's true. All the car owners just say
• 3:56
we're tired of jagging with you and Michael Jordan went, I got
• 4:01
y'all's back and they all decided to sign the charter.
• 4:06
But boy, now it's coming out how bad all these car owners are
• 4:09
upset with NASCAR. OK, so that read that letter out
• 4:14
there. It is not a good letter.
• 4:15
Rick Hendrick writes a scathing letter to NASCAR and literally
• 4:19
lights into Jim France. And but at the end of the
• 4:21
letter, it's like, hey, we can be friends.
• 4:23
Let's get together. Richard Childress owns 60% of
• 4:29
Richard Childress Racing. I always knew this and that.
• 4:32
It's not a surprise, Eddie, because Roush, you know, it's
• 4:35
Roush Fenway, Keselowski. But anyway, Richard gets pissed
• 4:41
on the stand because NASCAR found out that Richard about 8
• 4:46
months ago tried to sell part of his team to Bobby Ellen.
• 4:51
Now Richard's pissed because he signed a non disclosure.
• 4:54
In other words, nobody should have known.
• 4:57
So Richard Silverstone, his executives are on NASCAR's butt
• 5:00
right now. Wanted to know how did you find
• 5:04
out about this? And I think Judge Bell and them
• 5:07
are looking into is what NASCAR did bring up a non disclosure.
• 5:13
In other words, non NDANDA means nobody should talk about this.
• 5:18
If you talk about it, you're going to jail.
• 5:20
So we'll see how that turns out. But Richard Childers and his
• 5:26
boys, they're mad that NASCAR brought that up.
• 5:29
But the deal died. Bobby Hillen didn't have enough
• 5:32
money. What do you think of that one?
• 5:36
Never know. Yeah, yeah, you never know, but
• 5:39
Richard was A's age. Or you always told me you never
• 5:43
know until the check clears. Yeah, right.
• 5:45
Yeah, I I think it's sold, but the check hasn't cleared yet.
• 5:49
So Richard Childress is mad at NASCAR because they brought up
• 5:53
something they shouldn't have brought up.
• 5:54
It was an NDA. I mean, what happened there?
• 5:57
You know, this one, this one was pretty wild.
• 6:01
You know, a lot of people say to me, Kenny, who'd even, Eddie,
• 6:06
who do you think is winning this lawsuit?
• 6:08
One of the biggest, biggest signs yesterday that really
• 6:12
disappointed everybody in the media was Jim France, who owns
• 6:16
NASCAR and Steve Phelps were on the stand.
• 6:20
And Eddie, they must have said, I can't remember.
• 6:23
I don't know. They must have said it 50 times.
• 6:28
What does that tell you when the owner of NASCAR and the
• 6:31
  president say, I don't remember, I don't know.
• 6:34
Why do they do that, Eddie? Selective memory.
• 6:38
  Say it again. Selective memory.
• 6:40
Yeah, so all the media, you know, Bob Progress, Weaver,
• 6:46
Gluck, they're all like, man, this ain't looking good.
• 6:49
Now, that's not my words, but a lot of people are like, man,
• 6:52
that ain't looking good for NASCAR.
• 6:53
They, you know, I watched the tear down with Jeff Gluck and
• 6:58
Bianchi and they said that don't look good on NASCAR.
• 7:01
They're they're the leaders. There's nobody higher Jim France
• 7:05
and and then I mean, it's their strategy, obviously that that's
• 7:10
their strategy. But they said they spent the
• 7:14
whole time going don't remember, don't know.
• 7:17
All right. So I just told you, you know, we
• 7:21
don't know what's going to happen.
• 7:22
But it's not looking good for NASCAR right now because they
• 7:25
don't know and they don't remember.
• 7:28
My God, this was interesting. We decided to add this one on
• 7:34
NASCAR. Attorneys asked Steve Phelps or
• 7:39
no, I think. I think it was Jeffrey Kessler
• 7:42
with Michael Jordan. They said Steve Phelps, why did
• 7:46
Furniture Row and owner Barney Vister, why did they shut down?
• 7:51
Phelps said that Furniture Row Racing, when they won the
• 7:55
championship with Martin Truex, spent $45,000,000 in one year.
• 8:04
So Martin Truex, when he won that championship, they spent
• 8:06
$45 million. Hey, that's a lot of money.
• 8:11
Did you know I was their first driver?
• 8:13
And I was always amazed. And I told Joe Garone, who ran
• 8:18
furniture, I said Joe Barney got enough money to do this.
• 8:21
He goes, oh, he's got plenty money.
• 8:24
And they would spend all their money because because Barney
• 8:27
Visser wanted to prove the world that they could do it out of
• 8:30
Denver, Co. And so they had those furniture
• 8:34
trucks going back and forth to North Carolina.
• 8:38
I think they spent an extra 2,000,000 years.
• 8:40
What Joe might have told me. Hey Joe, if you watch us respond
• 8:43
right here, I think they spent $2,000,000 a year cars, motors
• 8:49
in the furniture trucks going from Charlotte NC to Denver, Co
• 8:54
  all. Those mattresses for padding,
• 8:56
all that equipment. Yeah, yeah, right.
• 8:59
OK. So Ray Kendrick writes a tough
• 9:02
letter and but he he I mean that it shocked the racing world.
• 9:06
So I think in ending Eddie, NASCAR is not sustainable is
• 9:13
what all the owners are saying. Richard Schilder said, the only
• 9:18
reason I can afford to do this is because I make parts for the
• 9:21
military and he says we build motors.
• 9:25
They're all saying they lose money.
• 9:27
Everybody's losing money and that this this new business
• 9:30
model, hey, it it, it keeps getting more expensive.
• 9:34
So we'll see what happens. All right, everybody, I'm sure
• 9:37
you'll Charlie will drop that letter in here that Rick
• 9:40
Hendrick, remember. What they say if you want to
• 9:42
become a millionaire in racing, start out as a billionaire.
• 9:47
Check him out. Ed Balkovic everybody.
• 9:49
One of the greatest microbiologist in America.
• 9:53
  Say goodbye, Eddie. Goodbye all.
