- 0:09Speaker 1: Inside the Birds is back. What's going on everybody? It's
- 0:15Speaker 1: Jeff Mosher, It's Adam Kaplan, and we're sitting here in
- 0:18Speaker 1: the middle of February. And Adam's got a great idea,
- 0:21Speaker 1: says to me, you know, there's so much change around
- 0:23Speaker 1: the NFC East, all the coaching staffs, which means not
- 0:26Speaker 1: just people, but philosophies and things like that.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Let's go through it.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Let's see what the Eagles will have to deal with
- 0:32Speaker 1: in the year twenty twenty six. And I thought, hey,
- 0:35Speaker 1: that makes sense. So we're going to do is have
- 0:39Speaker 1: a three part podcast series here. We're gonna look at Washington,
- 0:42Speaker 1: We'll look at New York, We'll look at Dallas. We'll
- 0:44Speaker 1: go through all the changes they've made from either head
- 0:47Speaker 1: coach to coordinators on down, and we'll explain what that
- 0:51Speaker 1: means for them philosophically and how that will impact the
- 0:54Speaker 1: Eagles and Odam the We're gonna focus this first episode
- 0:58Speaker 1: on Washington. But the reasons why I think this is
- 1:00Speaker 1: a really good idea is because I don't know if
- 1:03Speaker 1: you heard John Harbloss say this, but during his introductory
- 1:06Speaker 1: infear view with the Giants, he said something to the
- 1:09Speaker 1: effect of we have to build a team that's good
- 1:12Speaker 1: enough to beat the Eagles. So the Eagles came up
- 1:15Speaker 1: in the press conference, and you know what's amazing to me,
- 1:18Speaker 1: the Eagles have kind of dominated the vision, you know,
- 1:20Speaker 1: for so long. They don't win it every year, but
- 1:22Speaker 1: they probably they've wont it more than any other team
- 1:25Speaker 1: over the last twenty years. Nobody's ever come in and said,
- 1:28Speaker 1: we need to be better than the Eagles, even though
- 1:31Speaker 1: the Eagles have clearly been the class of the NFC
- 1:34Speaker 1: East for quite a while. But it reminded me of
- 1:37Speaker 1: a lot of conversations You've probably had them too, with
- 1:39Speaker 1: people from the AFC North, from Pittsburgh, from Baltimore. They
- 1:44Speaker 1: always talk about and it's not just the philosophy, it's
- 1:47Speaker 1: it's a scouting mantra, like you need to bring in
- 1:51Speaker 1: players to win cold weather December and January games against
- 1:57Speaker 1: the Steelers or if you're the Steelers, against the Ravens,
- 1:59Speaker 1: because they know those are the teams that are ordinarily
- 2:02Speaker 1: fightening it out and they kind of build their teams
- 2:05Speaker 1: to beat to win that division and beat those other teams.
- 2:08Speaker 1: So that's a really interesting thing for I thought, for
- 2:10Speaker 1: Harbor to come out and say.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Yeah it is. So out of the eight offensive defense coordinators,
- 2:15Speaker 2: six of them are new. Okay, that's a lot. Okay,
- 2:18Speaker 2: former first time play callers. So that's that was the
- 2:22Speaker 2: genesis of this. It's like, okay, what is there a
- 2:24Speaker 2: lot different in this division? Yes? Wow, holy smokes. Yeah,
- 2:31Speaker 2: you talked about the philosophy change and then scheme changes.
- 2:34Speaker 2: I mean, it's that's what you're gonna get here. There's
- 2:38Speaker 2: just gonna get a lot of new looks. And then
- 2:40Speaker 2: with the first time play callers because they haven't called
- 2:41Speaker 2: plays before, then you look at as we do. We've
- 2:44Speaker 2: done this now for nine years. We look at the
- 2:46Speaker 2: coach's background. We broke down Sean Sean Manny in about
- 2:50Speaker 2: fifty different ways about what it might look like. That
- 2:53Speaker 2: one could be super cool. But when you get to Washington,
- 2:57Speaker 2: you've got two first time play callers and that's where
- 3:00Speaker 2: we get started today. Yeah.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Absolutely, but very very young. So that'll be that makes
- 3:04Speaker 1: the interesting. That makes the division very interesting. There's also
- 3:08Speaker 1: a theme and you can branch it out past the
- 3:11Speaker 1: NC East, although we'll probably see it within the coaches
- 3:14Speaker 1: that we do here.
- 3:15Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 3:16Speaker 1: I was always told you're not supposed to chase a scheme.
- 3:18Speaker 1: You're supposed to chase a coach. But it's hard not
- 3:21Speaker 1: to think with some of the hirings, especially guys you
- 3:23Speaker 1: have no play calling background but come from a certain
- 3:26Speaker 1: tree that you wonder if a little bit of a
- 3:29Speaker 1: little bit of the scheme chasing was going on this
- 3:32Speaker 1: year in the in the coach coaching turnover cycle.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Yeah, because the Eagles did that with Chip Kelly. That
- 3:37Speaker 2: was a mistake. Yeah, they went for the they went
- 3:40Speaker 2: for the scheme, the system, yep, everything that Chip brought
- 3:44Speaker 2: in and unfortunately a lot of it didn't wind up
- 3:46Speaker 2: happening right for whatever reason.
- 3:48Speaker 1: But you could argue the manual hire the same thing.
- 3:50Speaker 1: No play calling experience, which we were shocked that they
- 3:52Speaker 1: wound up going that route, but a scheme, a West
- 3:56Speaker 1: Coast offense scheme modernized that has performed really well in
- 3:59Speaker 1: the NFL.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's again the backgrounds. You know, you're looking
- 4:02Speaker 2: for background. So what I find about as we get
- 4:05Speaker 2: started here with David Blough, who's been promoted. He was
- 4:08Speaker 2: the interim quarterbacks coach last season for Washington. He didn't
- 4:12Speaker 2: for he's never run a room for one full season
- 4:14Speaker 2: so that's a big deal. Now. They did not want
- 4:17Speaker 2: him to go. They were worried. I was told that
- 4:19Speaker 2: he would go with Ben Johnson, that something would happen
- 4:24Speaker 2: that someone else would hire him away. And so they
- 4:27Speaker 2: promoted him at thirty years old to offense coordinator, first
- 4:32Speaker 2: time play caller. And they don't really have like a
- 4:35Speaker 2: safety net here. It's kind of like, okay, but the
- 4:39Speaker 2: thought here is that you're going to see a lot
- 4:42Speaker 2: more under center. I know that talking to someone who
- 4:45Speaker 2: would know they're gonna get Dan Daniel was actually understanded
- 4:48Speaker 2: more than people think. But it's there's gonna be there's
- 4:53Speaker 2: gonna be a decent amount here of Ben Johnson. He
- 4:56Speaker 2: was with Blows with Ben Johnson at twenty twenty three,
- 5:00Speaker 2: right before he before he retired from being a third
- 5:04Speaker 2: string quarterback. And then you know he was he was
- 5:08Speaker 2: with Cliff Kingsbury here, uh so for two seasons. So
- 5:12Speaker 2: I'm interested to see how much of Kingsbury he brings in,
- 5:15Speaker 2: how much of bench outs. So that's the beauty of
- 5:17Speaker 2: this thing because you don't totally know exactly what you're
- 5:20Speaker 2: going to see there.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Correct. He was also he was a player for the
- 5:26Speaker 1: Cardinals in twenty twenty two blow. And is that was
- 5:30Speaker 1: Petsing still there at that time or was that a
- 5:32Speaker 1: different regime.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that was Petsing's first No, yeah, I'm.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Sorry, I'm sorry. Kingsbury was there, right, Kingsbury was was
- 5:38Speaker 1: twenty twenty two, still with the Cardinals.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Yeah, because Gannon was the head coach in twenty three. Yes, right, right.
- 5:45Speaker 1: So so it's interesting that he he blends that I
- 5:47Speaker 1: played for Ben Johnson and I played for Kingsbury. I
- 5:50Speaker 1: just coached under Kingsbury. He may have an interesting blend
- 5:54Speaker 1: of both of those guys, which are two different.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, no idea how much of But
- 6:01Speaker 2: I had heard that he wants to have the quarterback
- 6:03Speaker 2: on our center. Now they're they're going. Now here's what
- 6:05Speaker 2: I do know though where I believe it's gonna be
- 6:07Speaker 2: more West Coast and more Ben Johnson's West Coast. Uh.
- 6:10Speaker 2: The the belief was that when they made it, when
- 6:15Speaker 2: they went away from Cliff, they let the offensive line
- 6:18Speaker 2: coach go Bobby Johnson, who does not have a background
- 6:22Speaker 2: in that scheme. Though. They did a great job. But
- 6:25Speaker 2: the run game stunningly was very productive. I just with
- 6:29Speaker 2: the and their line was great. I mean, Josh Carnelly
- 6:32Speaker 2: was phenomenal, played right back on his life. It was great.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I really really started to play well at the
- 6:38Speaker 1: end of the year.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Yep, yep. Yeah. But they did keep Cliff Kingsbury's right
- 6:43Speaker 2: hand man, David Rye, who's the tight ends coach but
- 6:46Speaker 2: apparently super smart, probably one of their best offensive assistance.
- 6:52Speaker 2: But the big to move this along here, the big
- 6:53Speaker 2: deal is, the big deal is blow now calling plays
- 6:57Speaker 2: and it's just fascinating. And then they've got we'll do
- 7:00Speaker 2: a free agency overview at Intel when we get closer
- 7:03Speaker 2: to freegency for Washington. They've got a number of free
- 7:06Speaker 2: agents on offense, but not most of them are not
- 7:08Speaker 2: important other than Deebo, Samuel zach Ertz unfortunates come back
- 7:12Speaker 2: from the second ACL injury. Right, They've got a lot
- 7:16Speaker 2: of decisions to make, and it is remarkable how things change.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Where two years ago they shocked the world at twelve
- 7:23Speaker 2: and five, and then they got boat raced by the Eagles.
- 7:26Speaker 2: But but when they wanted Detroit this in the playoffs,
- 7:29Speaker 2: I mean, they handled Detroit now detroited the injury. But
- 7:32Speaker 2: it was a great win and everyone's thinking you know
- 7:35Speaker 2: and I know that Adam Peters kind of went for
- 7:37Speaker 2: it with a lot of veteran players. They became the
- 7:39Speaker 2: all the oldest team in the National Football League. Oops. Yeah,
- 7:43Speaker 2: that turned out to bite them a ton of injuries
- 7:45Speaker 2: and a pretty big regression for the club.
- 7:47Speaker 3: Sky Motor Cars and West there was a different building
- 7:49Speaker 3: the other team.
- 7:50Speaker 2: All the takes is one.
- 7:51Speaker 3: Look at their high line pre owned vehicles.
- 7:53Speaker 2: The people over the country.
- 7:54Speaker 3: What the honor of Bretfielder. Make sure you don't spend
- 7:57Speaker 3: the time of your money before you've purchased the car.
- 8:00Speaker 3: Sky Motor Cars allowed you to take all the decisions
- 8:03Speaker 3: regarding your next day. At Sky Motor Cars, you never
- 8:06Speaker 3: have to spend more than death shot because it Skymotorcars
- 8:09Speaker 3: dot Com today are called sixteen nine to one eighty
- 8:13Speaker 3: seventh to two fives.
- 8:17Speaker 1: I think what I'm most interested in finding out with
- 8:19Speaker 1: the David blow Higher was what was Dan Quinn looking for?
- 8:22Speaker 1: Because if you're looking for the Ben Johnson type offense
- 8:25Speaker 1: which runs the ball diversely and very well, they actually,
- 8:29Speaker 1: as you mentioned, they actually ran the ball really well
- 8:31Speaker 1: last year. The Commanders they had to think a top five,
- 8:33Speaker 1: top ten rushing offense and their line played well. So
- 8:37Speaker 1: is it the passing concepts that they wanted something different from?
- 8:41Speaker 1: And you know, obviously did the Lions two years ago
- 8:45Speaker 1: and the Bears last year did expand their passing game.
- 8:50Speaker 1: But I always thought that Washington's issues last year were
- 8:53Speaker 1: more injury related then scheme related. But clearly dan Quinn
- 8:56Speaker 1: wanted something something different related what.
- 8:59Speaker 2: I'm told it was. Uh, they clashed Kingsbury and it's
- 9:04Speaker 2: very strong willed, very brilliant, got like super smart, but
- 9:07Speaker 2: he clashed with Quinn. Quinn and Kingsbury did not see I.
- 9:11Speaker 2: I on the offense where it was headed. I mean
- 9:18Speaker 2: they round that you just mentioned it. They round the
- 9:19Speaker 2: ball really well. I mean, in fact, they had great
- 9:22Speaker 2: protections built in uh to the to the scheme, that
- 9:26Speaker 2: was not the problem. But they just didn't see II
- 9:28Speaker 2: on how they wanted the game called. And he just
- 9:33Speaker 2: it's rare than dan Quinn's not. Dan Quinn's very patient,
- 9:36Speaker 2: and you know, you really don't want to keep changing
- 9:39Speaker 2: coordinators for young quarterback. Yeah, Daniels have a second play
- 9:43Speaker 2: caller and a guy's never called play is to move
- 9:45Speaker 2: the forward here. It's a major gamble. It's a major gamble.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Cliff was a great fit to be honest with Daniels
- 9:52Speaker 2: Manila dqting. I mean I had heard very strongly from
- 9:55Speaker 2: someone who would know that the DK was like, now
- 9:57Speaker 2: we're changing this way. I don't like the what I'm seeing.
- 10:01Speaker 2: In a smaller way. It reminds me a little bit
- 10:04Speaker 2: of Schottenheimer and Pete Carroll. Yeah, I could see that
- 10:07Speaker 2: a little bit. Not Pete's was really like, hey that
- 10:10Speaker 2: we gotta win. We gotta run the football right, and
- 10:13Speaker 2: Shotty was super aggressive throwing it and Pete didn't like it,
- 10:16Speaker 2: whereas here they just didn't see eye to eye on
- 10:19Speaker 2: how the things should be called and functionality. Whatever the case.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Maybe they moved on blow. I look forward to go
- 10:24Speaker 2: to their training camp. I want to see what this
- 10:26Speaker 2: thing's gonna look like. The mysteries. Great, he hears things,
- 10:30Speaker 2: but until you see it, you really don't know. Yeah,
- 10:34Speaker 2: all right.
- 10:34Speaker 1: On defense, they have a new defensive coordinator who's going
- 10:37Speaker 1: to call the plays to Ron day Jones. He was
- 10:40Speaker 1: working under Brian Flores in Minnesota as their DB's coach
- 10:44Speaker 1: and past game coordinator. We're seeing a lot of this
- 10:46Speaker 1: these guys, you know, like this is Christian Parker. He
- 10:48Speaker 1: was the Eagles DB's coach pass game coordinator. Now he's
- 10:51Speaker 1: the Cowboys defensive coordinator. So this is another interestinglong is
- 10:55Speaker 1: this we knew when dan Quinn liked when he did
- 10:59Speaker 1: call plays, which he did not until, like I guess,
- 11:02Speaker 1: he fired his guy last week halfway through last year.
- 11:05Speaker 1: But as a play caller, dan Quinn liked the blitz
- 11:07Speaker 1: in Dallas, that was his thing. He was a man
- 11:10Speaker 1: coverage blitz guy. In Seattle he was not. He was
- 11:12Speaker 1: his own cover one, cover three type guy. Obviously, when
- 11:16Speaker 1: you bring in a guy at him from Minnesota, from
- 11:17Speaker 1: Brian Flores, you're expecting something that is looking like a
- 11:21Speaker 1: Brian Flores defense, which is a lot of blitzing.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Unorthodox though, because yes, and he could, he could put
- 11:27Speaker 2: in fronts that are what are called unscattered looks. And
- 11:31Speaker 2: Jones had Jones' longtime college assistant and an NFL assistant,
- 11:36Speaker 2: but this is his first time calling place. By the way,
- 11:38Speaker 2: then the Commanders had nine or ten coaching changes, including
- 11:44Speaker 2: the coordinators actually at least ten, and then offensive asistant
- 11:47Speaker 2: defensive assistants. So Eric Henderson they brought in, who's a
- 11:51Speaker 2: really good D line coach, who did very well for
- 11:54Speaker 2: the Rams, who used to be with USC as a
- 11:56Speaker 2: co defensive coordinator. So that's a good hire for them.
- 11:59Speaker 2: They made some adjustments. They move guys to another position
- 12:02Speaker 2: on defense or give him a new title. William Gay,
- 12:06Speaker 2: you might remember as a corner for the Steelers, he
- 12:09Speaker 2: got a position. Now he's a cornerbacks coach. John Pagano
- 12:13Speaker 2: a former defensive coordinator. Yep, we know his brother Chuck.
- 12:17Speaker 2: John was a defensive assistant. He's now the outside linebackers coach.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Daryl tap we know former Eagles Eagles edge rusher, he's
- 12:25Speaker 2: now the assistant d line coach. So yeah, they've made
- 12:28Speaker 2: a lot of changes that It is remarkable to me.
- 12:31Speaker 2: You set the world on fire two years ago. You
- 12:34Speaker 2: look bad. You mentioned Joe Witt, who was reassigned midway
- 12:37Speaker 2: through last season. Quinn took it over. But the word
- 12:39Speaker 2: around the club was that Quinn did not want to
- 12:41Speaker 2: call the plays. He just had to do it because
- 12:42Speaker 2: it wasn't working. Defense was terrible for a while. They
- 12:45Speaker 2: had a lot of injuries, as you said. But now
- 12:47Speaker 2: he's heading it off. And I mean Dan Coinn is
- 12:50Speaker 2: on the hot seat. It is what it is. I
- 12:52Speaker 2: mean is. You don't like to say it after two seasons,
- 12:54Speaker 2: but when you're making massive changes on both sides of
- 12:58Speaker 2: the football, you're already telling people not you weren't happy
- 13:01Speaker 2: with your staff.
- 13:01Speaker 1: And it is what it is, absolutely, And I like
- 13:03Speaker 1: what you said about the Flora style.
- 13:06Speaker 2: It's not just blitz. You're right, It's not just I'm
- 13:08Speaker 2: gonna throw five guys, six guys at you.
- 13:10Speaker 1: He is a master, a master at coming at you
- 13:14Speaker 1: from an angle that you did not expect, showing an
- 13:17Speaker 1: overload on one side, dropping those guys, bringing a slot
- 13:20Speaker 1: from the other side that you He's just a really
- 13:23Speaker 1: good schemer at breaking down your protection scheme. We talk
- 13:27Speaker 1: about that a lot and how important that is. How
- 13:29Speaker 1: Vic does it in a different way. Vic breaks it
- 13:31Speaker 1: down and he sometimes doesn't even send more than four
- 13:34Speaker 1: most of the time doesn't send more than four, and
- 13:36Speaker 1: he still figures out a way to break down your
- 13:38Speaker 1: protection scheme. But Brian constantly his defense and this is
- 13:42Speaker 1: what I think Deronte Jones will bring here to the commanders.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Has you constantly making calls and checks at the line
- 13:48Speaker 1: of scrimmage to make sure you know where the mic is,
- 13:51Speaker 1: where the blitz is coming from.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Setting your protections.
- 13:53Speaker 1: It throws you off and it makes you think very
- 13:56Speaker 1: quickly post snap. So those kinds of defensive been challenging
- 14:00Speaker 1: at times for Hurts, but there's also times where he
- 14:04Speaker 1: rips them apart. So it's kind of hard to tell.
- 14:06Speaker 1: It's about your personnel and how good you are. Hey,

- 17:30Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's and with Floris, it's not like anyone's
- 17:32Speaker 2: really running his defense, so you don't really know exactly
- 17:37Speaker 2: what Jones is gonna do it. Quinn turns is turning
- 17:42Speaker 2: the defense over to him, So is he does he
- 17:46Speaker 2: still want you gotta let your antia Jones do his thing.
- 17:49Speaker 2: Now what his thing is, We're not exactly sure. Well,
- 17:51Speaker 2: we'll learn more. It's gonna be mostly Flores is gonna
- 17:55Speaker 2: be a combination of Quinn. Quinn runs a forty three,
- 17:57Speaker 2: but it looks like a thirty four based on alignment.
- 18:00Speaker 2: So yeah, this is this is fascinating. Now they're a team.
- 18:03Speaker 2: Before we we move on from this one, their defense
- 18:07Speaker 2: was so old. Although there I know that they're really
- 18:09Speaker 2: happy with Trey Amos, who got hurt last season, but
- 18:11Speaker 2: before he got hurt, he was really really good. Man.
- 18:14Speaker 2: They have no edge, They have no edges. They need help.
- 18:17Speaker 1: They definitely needed for the scheme.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Need pass rushers. Yeah, every scheme does. But they need help.
- 18:24Speaker 2: They need help up front in a major way with
- 18:26Speaker 2: with with edge help. So we'll see what happens. But
- 18:29Speaker 2: they're a team that's there's it's a big mystery and
- 18:32Speaker 2: what they could be because they don't they're not super
- 18:34Speaker 2: talented right now. It's certain positions. They're young talented, but
- 18:39Speaker 2: they just need They went for the over the Hill Gang,
- 18:43Speaker 2: which is the old uh watt for the Washington Redskins.
- 18:46Speaker 2: For those of you are Commanders fans would know, the
- 18:49Speaker 2: over the Hill Gang was the team that made the
- 18:51Speaker 2: Super Bowl against the Dolphins. I think Billy Kilmer and
- 18:56Speaker 2: that group, and yeah, I know, I know. It's it's crazy.
- 19:00Speaker 2: So yeah, so there you go. There, that's watching a
- 19:03Speaker 2: lot of change. As we mentioned at the top here,
- 19:05Speaker 2: his division has been flipped.
- 19:07Speaker 1: How about those of coaches, A couple of a couple
- 19:09Speaker 1: of recognizable names there on on David Blouse Staff, Wes Wilker.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Yep, who got a he got he got a new title. Yeah,
- 19:16Speaker 2: he was a offensive he was a personnel analyst. He's
- 19:20Speaker 2: been a receivers coach before. Darnell Stapleton you might remember
- 19:23Speaker 2: him from the Steelers as a backup lineman. He he
- 19:25Speaker 2: now is the he was the assistant a line coach.
- 19:28Speaker 2: He's now the on line coach. And this is the
- 19:29Speaker 2: interesting one. DJ Williams Doug Williams son legend, Super Bowl legend,
- 19:34Speaker 2: and Redskins legend, and bucks who beat the Eagles in
- 19:37Speaker 2: seventy nine as a quarterback part of the box. DJ
- 19:40Speaker 2: Williams now went from coaching the quarterbacks with the Falcons
- 19:44Speaker 2: now to the Commandos.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Another team runs the ball. Falcons they know how to
- 19:49Speaker 1: run the ball diversely. They did with the Jon Robin
- 19:53Speaker 1: who is there?
- 19:54Speaker 2: Zach Robinson was the Oh yeah, moving on to Tampa. Yeah,
- 19:58Speaker 2: I I just curious did Washington hire a senior offensive
- 20:03Speaker 2: assistant because what's the escape hatch if Blouse overmatched. I
- 20:08Speaker 2: know they're not thinking that way, but if it doesn't work,
- 20:11Speaker 2: I just wonder what they're going to do.
- 20:13Speaker 1: No, you're right. I mean everybody's pretty young on this
- 20:15Speaker 1: staff now and there are no experienced play callers there,
- 20:19Speaker 1: so that is, uh, it's a little bit of a risk.
- 20:22Speaker 2: I'm looking now, I'm looking to see, well, Danny Etling,
- 20:27Speaker 2: I remember him from the Patriots's assistant quarterbacks coach. Yeah, non, no, no, oh,
- 20:32Speaker 2: you know who would be? I'm sorry, you know who
- 20:34Speaker 2: would be? Who's that? Almost certain? Brian Johnson. Oh, he's.
- 20:38Speaker 2: I wasn't sure if he was still with them or not. Okay, yeah,
- 20:41Speaker 2: I believe, Yeah, he's the he's he has assistant head
- 20:43Speaker 2: coach title. He's a past game coordinator. No, yeah, that's
- 20:48Speaker 2: a good question. I don't believe he left. I don't
- 20:51Speaker 2: believe he left.
- 20:51Speaker 1: So I know he had done an interview with somebody,
- 20:54Speaker 1: so I wasn't sure what his status was.
- 20:55Speaker 2: I thought he was. I'm assuming he's staying. I'll look
- 20:57Speaker 2: it up, but I assuming he's staying. Yeah, I think so.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, but that's still pretty young. I mean he's
- 21:02Speaker 1: one he's played call, he's called place for one year
- 21:04Speaker 1: and obviously was fired after it.
- 21:06Speaker 2: So we did call him in college? Yeah, he was
- 21:08Speaker 2: uh Colein Prince's OC at.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Florida, Florida, right, he may have also done it.
- 21:12Speaker 2: I think he was in Houston at one point.
- 21:15Speaker 1: But yeah, all right, So that is our look at
- 21:18Speaker 1: the Commanders. A lot of changes, sweeping changes for a
- 21:21Speaker 1: team that went five and twelve.
- 21:23Speaker 2: What team do we do next? Pot, Adam, I'll let
- 21:25Speaker 2: you choose. Oh, the Giants. Oh yeah, Johnson did interview
- 21:31Speaker 2: for a similar job with the Cowboys, right, which I
- 21:34Speaker 2: would ask, Okay, is he coming back? They didn't hire anyone,
- 21:39Speaker 2: that the commander didn't hire anyone to take this job.
- 21:41Speaker 2: It's just kind of kind of weird if his contract up. Yeah,
- 21:44Speaker 2: it's kind of odd.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Yeah, that one might be a TBD to be determined
- 21:50Speaker 1: on whether or not he's the guy. All right, So
- 21:54Speaker 1: in the next pot, we will get through the Giants
- 21:56Speaker 1: major major changes, offensive changes, front off changes.
- 22:00Speaker 2: All the changes. But we'll get through that.
- 22:02Speaker 1: And that is going to do it for this episode
- 22:05Speaker 1: of Inside the Birds, the Leading Podcast and Eagles Intel,
