- 0:10Speaker 3: we got our cash cow working overtime today, so let's
- 0:13Speaker 3: make it happen. It's Billy the Kid, Candace Lopez, producer Poo,
- 0:16Speaker 3: and if you've got a secret, 833-787-1029, and you got one.
- 0:20Speaker 4: Okay. I have a secret that I've literally never told anyone,
- 0:24Speaker 4: but I already know that you're going to think I'm
- 0:26Speaker 4: completely insane once you hear about it.
- 0:27Speaker 3: Okay. I don't think so, but go ahead. Maybe.
- 0:31Speaker 4: I've always been pretty, like, OCD. My friends and family
- 0:34Speaker 4: know that I'm just, like, ridiculously organized. My closet is
- 0:38Speaker 4: organized by color, season, and sometimes, hey, even alphabetically by
- 0:43Speaker 4: brand within, like, the colors and seasons.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Really? So your closet is organized alphabetically by brand and
- 0:52Speaker 3: color and everything. I'm jealous.
- 0:55Speaker 4: Hey, I'm taking commissions. Welcome to your closet.
- 0:59Speaker 3: His closet is nothing but black t-shirts. Mine's a mess.
- 1:02Speaker 3: So anyway, go ahead.
- 1:03Speaker 4: The thing is, I'm really organized, but I think that
- 1:07Speaker 4: nobody really understands how far my obsession with being organized goes.
- 1:11Speaker 4: For the past 15 years, I've kept like This detailed
- 1:15Speaker 4: spreadsheet of every single person in my life.
- 1:19Speaker 1: What?
- 1:20Speaker 4: Like family, friends, coworkers, ex-boyfriends. Even my current boyfriend has
- 1:24Speaker 4: a section in it. And so I call it the system.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Wait a minute.
- 1:28Speaker 2: What?
- 1:29Speaker 3: You have a name for it. So wait. Okay.
- 1:32Speaker 2: What's the system for?
- 1:33Speaker 3: You keep a spreadsheet on your friends, family, everybody around you. Yeah.
- 1:38Speaker 3: What does it do? Like, wow. Wow.
- 1:40Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, it's not just the basics like birthdays
- 1:43Speaker 4: and favorite colors. It's like I have a file on
- 1:46Speaker 4: each person and I have notes about like everything.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Wow. Who does?
- 1:51Speaker 2: You're like recording your life.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Yeah, notes on what though?
- 1:54Speaker 4: Well, like I put like the last time we talked,
- 1:57Speaker 4: what we chatted about, and when we last hung out
- 2:00Speaker 4: and what we did. And sometimes I even rate our
- 2:03Speaker 4: interactions on a scale of one to ten based on
- 2:07Speaker 4: how much I enjoyed my time.
- 2:09Speaker 3: So you'll rank people, rate them, say, I'm going to
- 2:13Speaker 3: note what we did, how much I liked it, what
- 2:16Speaker 3: we talked about this person's, the notes and history on them. Yeah.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Like a doctor would do after your appointment.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Cause I feel like they, how did you remember that
- 2:23Speaker 1: I was about to do that last year?
- 2:25Speaker 2: Right.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Okay.
- 2:28Speaker 4: So I remember some things, but also just writing them
- 2:30Speaker 4: down helps anyway.
- 2:31Speaker 3: So you do this because it, and what do you
- 2:33Speaker 3: do with it?
- 2:34Speaker 4: Well, I can, based, so, like, the way I have
- 2:37Speaker 4: the system, I can just type someone's name into the system,
- 2:39Speaker 4: and it'll pull up, like, a complete history of us.
- 2:42Speaker 4: And so, like, I can pull up somebody I've been
- 2:45Speaker 4: on a date with, and, like, I can look at, like,
- 2:48Speaker 4: somebody I've been with before, and, like, every argument we had, and, like,
- 2:51Speaker 4: I can look at patterns, and every gift someone has
- 2:54Speaker 4: ever given me, like, I could look up what Aunt
- 2:57Speaker 4: Susie got me for Christmas from, like, eight years ago.
- 2:59Speaker 3: Wow.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Wow.
- 3:01Speaker 3: That is kind of fascinating.
- 3:02Speaker 2: It's very fascinating. How long have you been doing this?
- 3:06Speaker 4: I mean, since I was a teenager, but back then
- 3:08Speaker 4: I carried around a notebook and I would write things
- 3:10Speaker 4: down throughout the day. But now I like make notes
- 3:12Speaker 4: on my phone and then sometimes I'm like, I'm so
- 3:15Speaker 4: excited to get home and put everything in the system.
- 3:18Speaker 3: So it's called a system. That's another thing I can't
- 3:20Speaker 3: get over. So you've done this since a teenager, and
- 3:24Speaker 3: you just keep doing it. Is it getting better? Is
- 3:26Speaker 3: it getting worse? I mean, when I say better or worse,
- 3:27Speaker 3: are you doing it more often?
- 3:29Speaker 4: I mean, the older I get, the more detailed it becomes. Because,
- 3:32Speaker 4: I mean, I think some people could say it's like
- 3:35Speaker 4: a diary, except, like, instead of writing just about my day,
- 3:39Speaker 4: I'm documenting, like, everyone else's diary.
- 3:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know if it's like a diary. Yeah,
- 3:43Speaker 3: that's not a diary. But does your current boyfriend know that?
- 3:46Speaker 3: our interactions yeah that's true does your current boyfriend i
- 3:50Speaker 3: think you said you had one does he know you
- 3:51Speaker 3: do this.
- 3:52Speaker 4: Uh no i think you'd think i'm a psychopath but
- 3:57Speaker 4: like no one no one knows about this not even
- 3:58Speaker 4: like my best friend oh.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Okay But why do you do it? Did you have
- 4:05Speaker 3: a bad memory?
- 4:05Speaker 1: Because I do, and I write stuff down to try
- 4:08Speaker 1: to remember.
- 4:09Speaker 2: You do? Yeah.
- 4:10Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know necessarily why I started doing it, but, like,
- 4:13Speaker 4: it's nice to have, and there's just something super satisfying
- 4:17Speaker 4: about having everything documented and organized. Like, my brain doesn't
- 4:21Speaker 4: forget much, but, like, if I.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Do, it's there.
- 4:24Speaker 3: Wow, so it's satisfying to you. It makes you feel good.
- 4:27Speaker 4: Yeah. I swear I'm a normal person otherwise. I just
- 4:32Speaker 4: happen to have like a searchable database of basically every
- 4:36Speaker 4: human being I've ever come in contact with.
- 4:39Speaker 2: I love this.
- 4:40Speaker 3: So if you go to lunch with one of your
- 4:41Speaker 3: friends and lunch was so-so. Yeah, I get that. So
- 4:44Speaker 3: like I went to lunch with Pooh yesterday. I'm going
- 4:46Speaker 3: to rank it a four. Why? Why was it a four?
- 4:49Speaker 3: Out of ten. I paid for the bill. Well, you always,
- 4:52Speaker 3: I mean. He didn't talk. He was on his phone
- 4:53Speaker 3: the whole time. I put that note. Matter of fact,
- 4:55Speaker 3: I might start doing this. Oh. Well, everybody was calling me.
- 5:00Speaker 3: But your friends don't know that you do this, though.
- 5:02Speaker 3: They don't even know.
- 5:03Speaker 4: No one knows.
- 5:04Speaker 3: I think it's kind of interesting.
- 5:05Speaker 2: It feels like you have your life together.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Like, people will tell me from years ago, oh, remember
- 5:10Speaker 1: when you gave me that thing or whatever?
- 5:11Speaker 2: And I'll be like, don't remember that. And they'll be like, wow,
- 5:13Speaker 2: I was really thoughtful. I just do things in my
- 5:16Speaker 2: heart in the moment and forget.
- 5:17Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 5:18Speaker 1: Right.
- 5:18Speaker 3: And I think that's pretty normal. But you could go
- 5:21Speaker 3: back and be like, I remember that. It was August 8th.
- 5:23Speaker 3: We had Chipotle. Right. You had the burrito.
- 5:28Speaker 2: You talked about the.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Drama with your sister and all of the things with whatever.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Hey, whatever makes you happy. If that makes you happy
- 5:34Speaker 3: and it brings you a satisfying feeling, do it. It's
- 5:37Speaker 3: not hurting anybody.
- 5:38Speaker 4: Right.
- 5:39Speaker 3: I wish I was that organized. Yeah. I really do.
- 5:42Speaker 3: I'm not. Well, thank you for your secret. Wait, are
- 5:47Speaker 3: we in the spreadsheet? Will we be in the spreadsheet
- 5:49Speaker 3: after this? Yeah, what are you ranking us?
- 5:53Speaker 4: I don't want to know. I guess we'll have to
- 5:54Speaker 4: chat another time for you to find out.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Okay, good. Tell us later.
