What did is just current events or your concern for the church, what are your thoughts?

It came from the fact that I'm hearing more and more about how the Biden administration

is urging Netanyahu and Israel to stop fighting in Gaza, at least pull it back to the

reins, and also how they're working behind the scenes to convince Netanyahu, who is

adversaries in Israel, you know, to write the sense wise up against them and trying

to set the stage for a two-state solution with the Palestinians.

And there was the breaking news yesterday.

There was an article in the Jerusalem post that spoke to the fact that the Biden administration

is preparing, it's a state department, looking into how they can declare that the Palestinians

are a state of sovereign nation immediately after the war in Gaza ends.

And so they're considering the fact that they might do that and this was in the Jerusalem

post nonetheless about how I guess I can read what they said and this is directly from

the Jerusalem post yesterday, January 31st.

U.S. Secretary of State Blinken ordered the U.S. State Department to prepare staff work

that will examine the possibility of American and international recognition of the State

of Palestine on the day after the war in Gaza.

And it's that Blinken also asked the State Department to support proposals for what a

similar terrorist Palestinian state might look like based on various models from around

the world.

And so that is just from yesterday, it's an update that I didn't even have when I wrote

the article.

So your premise at least at the start of this when we walk through your article here is

that any government, particularly in this context, the American government, the Biden

administration is really going against God and you put it as they are on thin ice when

you go against Israel.

It's the fact that the land belongs to God.

It's his and he has deeded it forever to Israel and their passages in the Old Testament that

speak to the to the fact of how God's anger will rise towards nations in the end times

because of their treatment of Israel.

And I think one of the famous passages in this speaks to what will happen during the tribulation,

but we already see it in the fact is Joel 3, 1 to 3.

It says, for beholden those days and at that time when I restore the fortunes of Jude

and Jerusalem, I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the valley of Jehosephat

and I will enter into judgment with them there on behalf of my people and my heritage

Israel because they have scattered them among the nations and have divided up my land.

And the Old Testament is very clear that that God's anger will be incurred against those

that seek to divide Israel, which is exactly what the Biden administration is seeking to do

at this moment.

And you quoted Caroline Glick and she says that the administration basically gave Israel

an ultimatum to support Palestinian statehood or risk demonization by the administration.

Of course that puts Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli prime minister, kind of backs him into

a corner and he is in total disagreement with the Democrats and the left and the Biden

administration.

And he says, I will not compromise on full Israeli security control of all territory west

of the Jordan River.

So it's very interesting, Jonathan, as we see presidents either support Israel like President

Trump did.

His policies were completely pro-Israel.

Now we're flipping back to the Oh Biden administration being anti-Israel.

So just share with us more about that and the concern that Americans under our government

we're not supporting Israel right now.

Yes, in the past and there have been several who have done comparisons of how initiatives

city by Israel are to give land to the Palestinians have resulted in catastrophes in America,

whether it be from hurricanes, tornadoes and I think even with Trump it was not long after

the Abraham Accords were announced that COVID began to become a big factor in America.

Now I know there are many who will disagree with the timing and say it's just a coincidence.

But I tend to think that there is a correlation and I tend to think that we can expect some

sort of God's response as this continues.

Well, let's go back a little bit.

You also cite Zechariah 12 1 through 4, but Joel chapter 3 verses 1 through 3 and

verse 2, verse 2 says, and they have divided up my capital M, my land.

That's how God sees it.

God sees that this is his land.

And so that's why there is, yeah, as you said, you put it very, very well that people

will incur some form of judgment or repercussions when you try to divide the land.

That's why I read that passage from Joel and from Zechariah to 12 1 to 3.

That talks about how God is going to bring nations into judgment in the final days because

of what they do in regard to Israel and dividing the land.

And I just, you know, it makes me wonder if the coming eclipse upon America, which will

complete an X across the nation has to do with God's response, has to do with God's judgment

on America, not only because of its sinfulness, but also because of its abandonment of Israel

and the willingness to divide up his land, which he has deeded to the descendants of Jacob.

Well, let's talk a little bit about that.

Well, you know, as many of you know, the coming eclipse, solar eclipse in April 8th of

this year is going to complete an X is with the solar eclipse that happened seven years

ago.

And of all things, this also happened earlier in America's history in 1806, June 16th,

1806, and eclipse passed through America.

And roughly the same path as the previous one did in our century.

And then in 1811, another solar eclipse completed an X.

And the intersection of the two is very close to where these two eclipses are going to

intersect.

And that being here, the sandwich, the sandwiched red fault.

And on top of that, it wasn't long after the completion of the X back in the 1800s that

the devastating earthquake took place in that area.

And so, you know, it doesn't mean that it signifies catastrophe ahead, but given all

that we know about the sinfulness and wickedness that America has fallen into and its leadership

and also the abandonment of Israel that the Biden administration is seeking, especially

with the support of a two-state or a state for the Palestinians, it makes you wonder if

this isn't just another warning from God of what might lie ahead for the American, for

America and its people after we are gone.

I believe the worst will happen after the rapture, by the way.

April 8th is when the solar eclipse is supposed to cross the U.S.

So April 8th, I'm sure as we get closer to that, more people will be riding on it.

There will be more speculation, but I guess we won't know until that day, but we'll see.

We'll see your approach and your angle on that is very interesting to me and how God does

use natural disasters and, you know, tragedies and just different things.

He uses so many different things for his purposes, whether it's judgment or to bring people

But let's go back now, Jonathan, to your previous article, the one you wrote at the very end

of January called, on thin ice with God, a very important quote to understand that the

left, the Hamas and the radicals that hate Israel, they are on record wanting to eliminate

the nation of Israel.

They have said for many, many decades, they want to wipe Israel off the map.

And they even have, I don't remember what country, what area it is.

They have maps, physical maps without Israel on the map.

So they've drawn up their own maps and visioning this and that's their goal.

Nothing, no compromise, no peace deal, nothing that we can do or people can do is going

to change that, your thoughts.

Yes, and that's why I say that I believe the Biden administration is either highly naive

or acting with willful ignorance regarding the intent of the Palestinians in their rallies

across the world, you know, their famous slogan is from the river to the sea.

In other words, they want the new Palestinian state to cover all the land of Israel, all

the land that Israel currently has as well as what they occupy.

And so there's no question as to that, that they want the elimination of Israel.

And you also see this in the fact that many of them also talk about killing Jews everywhere,

not just in Israel.

And so in poll after poll backs this up, that they do not want a two-state solution.

They want a one-state solution with Palestine ruling over the entire area.

But basically the policies of the left will endanger the welfare of the people of Israel,

It will not end well with them.

Terry James, and first of all, how did you guys connect and how about deciding on the

title and the topic of this new book?

It was basically Terry James' idea.

He approached me probably in December of 2022 with the idea of writing a book called Hereafter

and he also said that he would write the introduction and conclusion and contribute

to it, but you know, it'd be sort of a joint effort and, you know, the, yeah, and so we

contributed to it and yeah, it was a joint to work with him and to write with him.

He's an amazing guy when you consider his age and the fact that he's been blind for so

many decades, it's just incredible the amount of work he can do and just how sharp he is.

I hope that I am as sharp ten years from now as he is right now.

I hope I can just in my lifetime get to that level of, as you say, sharpness, yeah.

I think since the 90s, it's been a while.

Late 90s and he's an editor and author and he's co-written many, many books and edited

Fortunately, it's a temporary life and we have such an amazing hope to look forward to.

Share with us a little bit more about that, how just focusing on that, the joy,

I think of Jesus in Hebrews 12, too, the joy set before him.

He endured the cross and has now seen it at the right hand of the Father.

Yes, addressing you should mention that passage because in the experiences that both Terry and I

relate in that book, we refer to that exact verse and it is for the joy set before us.

And I've had many times of difficult circumstances in my life and I've learned the hard way

the necessity of focusing on the joy set before us and it's just remarkable.

I love writing about the signs of the times and discussing how America's on thin ice because

of its abandonment of Israel, which the Bible said, would happen during the end times.

But by passion really lies in describing what God's words says about our hope,

about the joy set before us, about the many things that the Lord has planned for us in eternity.

And part of this passion stems in the fact that so many churches do not talk about it anymore.

And sometimes they present the gospel with no mention even a eternal life and I'm thinking

these things ought not to be, they don't help us.

It's eternity. It's the joy set before us that enables us to get through the difficult times

in this life. And that's the emphasis of the emphasis of the book is that there's so much joy

ahead for us. And I just loved working with Terry and writing this book.

Yeah, what a blessing. I mean, I can just tell by your writings, even your articles,

you know, you get into the nitty gritty of what's happening with the globalists or with the politics

or whatever, but the worldview is always we are head and home one day soon soon and very soon.

You always point people that you always have such a positive shift and outlook.

And I think it brings people back because we're all dealing with something or we will

in this life if you live long enough. But a couple of the chapters in the book here after

really just the sound of these we will inherit a kingdom. We will reign with Jesus and then

unparalleled splendor. Jonathan, touch on one or any of other of those from the book that you

want to just just give us a few bullet points from. Yeah, an unparalleled splendor. We just talk

about the beauty of the New Jerusalem and just and just the wonder that that it'll have for us.

It'll be heaven. And I know that in eternity our existence will include a new earth in the

New Jerusalem. And they both will be beyond what we can imagine. And there are some reports that

Ed Heinzen when he would he died his last words were were I never thought heaven could be so

beautiful or something to that aspect. And then he died of someone who who wrote so much about

eternity and about the joy set before us. And he's someone that I quoted throughout the book

hereafter. There's many quotes from him in that book, but it's just an amazing. I also write

you know in some in some ways defending what we believe because I believe that it's essential for

for Christians to understand that these things that's not just our hope of what lies ahead but

it's well established on the pages of scripture. And one of my favorite passage favorite chapters

in writing was a mount the top experience and why it's necessary for Jesus to reign for a thousand

years. And there's just so many reasons why it's a necessity apart from the fact that that scripture

says he'll reign for a thousand years. There are many other reasons from God's word. And it's

really it's a defensive as character of his holy image because he said that in in Ezekiel 36

that he's going to restore Israel for the defensive as holy name that's such a critical aspect of it.

And I see that I see that that you have a book called The Salt on the Image of God which I would be

very interested in reading because it fits so well with that chapter about why Jesus may reign

for a thousand years. At least the title does. I haven't read the book, but I'd be very interested

to read that book. I'll get it. It's very in in your future. Yeah. Yeah, it's still new. I

keep forgetting to mention that. Yeah, I talk about what's happening from a spiritual perspective

because we get overwhelmed by what's happening in this world and maybe you can speak to this when

I'm done because what we're seeing not only is immorality increasing, but demonic activity

is really off the charts today at a level that I did not think I'd see in my lifetime. But that

means I mean Satan knows his time is short. He is attacking God, Jesus, the Bible, God's word of

course. I mean just think of a lot of the problems we have today in our culture, society, the government

schools or with children today is because creation. You remove God as creator that there's no more

male or female. God is not creator anything goes. And that's exactly the ideologies. They're pushing

these are attacks against a mago day, the truth that every human being is created in his image.

His image. Go ahead. Yeah. So it's pure that Satan is attacking both the book of Genesis in the

book of a revelation. And you're right. I never thought I would see what I see today. It just

astounds me and I don't know if I could cope with what I read in here apart from knowing that

Jesus is coming and apart from knowing that God's word said it would be like this in the last days.

I think I would have to just kind of close my ears and eyes to what's happening or because I couldn't

cope with that apart from it. And I do not know how believers are able to do so except from the

anticipation that we'll soon be with Jesus in the joy that lies ahead for us. You say something.

I mean running out of time, but I just thought of the people that don't know Christ, that don't

know God, that don't have the hope that we do. Yes. How do they comprehend all this? How do they

react all this? There must be some level of darkness, heaviness, hopelessness that this life is

all there is and look at this life around us. And it's it's not looking very good. So Jonathan,

good news. We have good news to share. There's so many around us, our neighbors and others need

if they were unbelievers, genuinely seeking. But yes, you know, my my concern is that is I write

about these things that people have a place to go where they can understand the gospel. And I

do not, you know, my articles that you wait too long if I explained it in every single one that

I wrote, but also in here after I read there is a chapter that talks about the fact that talks

about how people can know for sure that they have eternal life because our emphasis is on

eternity, but we also show a lot of what will be happening on the earth as a way to be saying,

hey, you better, if you don't know Jesus, you better call upon His name because if you don't,

you're soon going to be in in the midst of God's wrath upon this earth rather than

and have enjoying the great celebration that will be enjoying there.
