• 0:04
  SPEAKER_01: Why?
• 0:06
  SPEAKER_01: Vieira.
• 0:08
  SPEAKER_01: Right.
• 0:09
SPEAKER_01: What, because he wasn't in the top three?
• 0:11
SPEAKER_01: He didn't get considered either, did he?
• 0:12
SPEAKER_01: Just got pushed to the side, didn't he?
• 0:14
  SPEAKER_01: Like, can't he?
• 0:15
  SPEAKER_01: I know.
• 0:18
SPEAKER_01: That Joe Scott could shout.
• 0:19
  SPEAKER_01: People won't say.
• 0:22
  SPEAKER_01: I went, eh?
• 0:24
SPEAKER_01: So we're all time Premier Premier League midfield.
• 0:28
SPEAKER_01: Some people got carried away, emailing in saying, Where's any Esther and Zavi?
• 0:33
SPEAKER_01: I went, grow up and wind it back.
• 0:35
SPEAKER_01: So this is from my mate, David Little, who I grew up with.
• 0:39
  SPEAKER_01: Good listen, lads.
• 0:40
  SPEAKER_01: Enjoying the banter.
• 0:42
SPEAKER_01: Not having Vieira, not being in the midfield three.
• 0:46
SPEAKER_01: Was always better than Keen, just as tenacious and influential, but much better technically.
• 0:53
SPEAKER_01: Mine would have been Vieira, Gerard, and De Bruyne, in my opinion.
• 0:58
SPEAKER_01: Still a very good three, isn't it?
• 1:00
SPEAKER_01: And this is the thing.
• 1:02
SPEAKER_01: No one's really right or wrong.
• 1:03
  SPEAKER_01: I know.
• 1:04
  SPEAKER_01: You were wrong.
• 1:04
SPEAKER_01: Use a wrong lamp hard.
• 1:06
SPEAKER_01: I know he gets your goals.
• 1:07
SPEAKER_01: No, it can't he was a bad shoot.
• 1:08
SPEAKER_01: Didn't put him in though.
• 1:09
SPEAKER_01: I know, but you were you were chatty for shit, won't you?
• 1:12
  SPEAKER_01: Skip one.
• 1:13
SPEAKER_01: They didn't want to vote.
• 1:16
SPEAKER_01: It's funny though, when you look at the votes, there was a lot of boyds.
• 1:18
  SPEAKER_01: Good guy.
• 1:19
SPEAKER_01: I was one of them.
• 1:22
SPEAKER_01: I voted my soul as well, to be fair.
• 1:23
SPEAKER_01: But I was winning it when I was on it.
• 1:25
  SPEAKER_01: Were you?
• 1:25
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 1:26
  unknown: Well.
• 1:26
SPEAKER_01: Then we've got another one from Kev Burns in Newcastle.
• 1:29
SPEAKER_01: Vieira has to be in.
• 1:31
SPEAKER_01: You forget about you know I've had an unconscious bias against Arsenal.
• 1:35
  SPEAKER_01: I might have.
• 1:36
  SPEAKER_01: Vieira was class.
• 1:37
  SPEAKER_01: He was.
• 1:38
  SPEAKER_01: Vieira.
• 1:39
SPEAKER_01: Before all the new ones came, like Vieira and Keane together, and then a playmaker in front of them.
• 1:45
SPEAKER_01: Who did Vieira play midfield with again?
• 1:47
  SPEAKER_01: Edu Gilberto Petito.
• 1:51
SPEAKER_01: Birkan up there as well.
• 1:52
SPEAKER_01: And just in the fall.
• 1:53
SPEAKER_01: Oh, don't they do it when you're going to sort of joke?
• 1:57
  SPEAKER_01: Keen?
• 1:58
SPEAKER_01: Keane used to get the better of them, though.
• 2:00
SPEAKER_00: Well, they had some good battles, didn't they?
• 2:02
  SPEAKER_00: Aye.
• 2:02
SPEAKER_00: They think it was in his head.
• 2:03
SPEAKER_00: That was the days when they could actually kick each other and grab each other like by the throat and stuff.
• 2:08
SPEAKER_00: The ref was like, just get on with it.
• 2:09
  SPEAKER_00: Ref was fair play.
• 2:10
SPEAKER_01: We got onto a ref later.
• 2:11
SPEAKER_01: But the ref was um alright with them too.
• 2:14
SPEAKER_01: He just let them go, didn't he?
• 2:16
SPEAKER_01: Probably knew what was coming.
• 2:17
SPEAKER_01: So my mate, David Little, he's an Arsenal fan, so might be biased.
• 2:21
SPEAKER_01: Well, but he's we used to go out.
• 2:23
SPEAKER_01: I told you about that nightclub in Newcastle Barhaw.
• 2:25
SPEAKER_01: So I was out with all the Sundan lads and Stefan Swartz, ex-Sweden captain, Arsenal, like proper Arsenal legend and that, but he ended up at Sundland, like 31, 32.
• 2:35
SPEAKER_01: And your mates just standing with Stefan Swartz for ages.
• 2:38
SPEAKER_01: And I went over, I went, I always say to my mates, don't bug the lads.
• 2:41
SPEAKER_01: Come out of work, but don't bug them.
• 2:43
SPEAKER_01: And Stefan Swartz, I went, Little, get away from Central.
• 2:46
  SPEAKER_01: No, no, no.
• 2:47
SPEAKER_01: And I just like leant in and like my mate was going, Do you think Arsenal uh what did you think of Bruce Rio as Arsenal manager?
• 2:52
SPEAKER_01: Stefan Sword was like he was too big for the club.
• 2:55
  SPEAKER_01: Get another drink.
• 2:56
SPEAKER_01: I was like, and some night there have a next unit.
• 2:59
SPEAKER_01: Put the ball away, mate.
• 3:00
  SPEAKER_01: Put the ball away.
• 3:01
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so Vieira, De Bruyne, when you look back.
• 3:05
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, phenomenal.
• 3:07
  SPEAKER_01: They all are though.
• 3:07
SPEAKER_01: Modric though, he's won so many Premier League.
• 3:09
SPEAKER_01: But he didn't do it in the Premier League, did he?
• 3:11
  SPEAKER_01: So I can that's a yeah.
• 3:12
SPEAKER_01: If you're going on just Premier League either.
• 3:14
  SPEAKER_01: Modric's gotta come out.
• 3:15
SPEAKER_01: Schools has probably got to go in.
• 3:16
SPEAKER_01: But use what to be fair, use what putting on who how could who could play it together and who gets your goals.
• 3:23
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 3:24
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, mine was just kind of all I speculated in midfield, wasn't it?
• 3:27
SPEAKER_01: Like controlling the game from deep, maybe goals and assists with Lampard.
• 3:31
SPEAKER_01: Do you know what I mean?
• 3:31
  SPEAKER_01: And then all right.
• 3:32
SPEAKER_01: I can have control over Gerard.
• 3:34
SPEAKER_01: I might have to leave the pod anyway.
• 3:35
SPEAKER_01: After I said Skulls needs a Rodery, Roddery doesn't need a Skulls.
• 3:40
SPEAKER_01: Sky have been on a lot.
• 3:42
SPEAKER_01: That inside is up there.
• 3:44
SPEAKER_01: Anyway, quick shout out to Gretna under 20s.

  SPEAKER_01: Holt his brother.
• 3:54
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Jordan's brother.

  SPEAKER_01: Jordan's brother.
• 3:56
  SPEAKER_01: And Steven's son.
• 3:57
  SPEAKER_01: Right, Stephen's son.
• 3:57
  SPEAKER_01: Grant's nephew.
• 3:58
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 3:58
  SPEAKER_01: I'll do.
• 3:59
SPEAKER_01: Aaron Ewings and Chris Byers.
• 4:01
SPEAKER_01: Last game of the season was on Friday.
• 4:03
SPEAKER_01: They were playing last year's champions and the hat to win to win the league or nervous day.
• 4:07
  SPEAKER_01: That is it.
• 4:08
  SPEAKER_00: So far.
• 4:08
SPEAKER_01: Long day as well when it tonight kick up.
• 4:10
  SPEAKER_01: 1-2-0.
• 4:10
SPEAKER_01: Jay McKay, man of the match, with both goals.
• 4:14
SPEAKER_01: So they've played teams from Gretna all the way through to Glasgow's the region.
• 4:17
SPEAKER_01: Now entered in a champions playoff against the winners of the other regional leagues from around Scotland.
• 4:23
SPEAKER_01: We'll get the names, you'll probably know a lot of the teams.
• 4:25
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, maybe a few, yeah.
• 4:26
  SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
• 4:26
  SPEAKER_01: Done well.
• 4:27
  SPEAKER_01: Well done, lads.
• 4:28
SPEAKER_01: I'll tell you, didn't do well at the weekend.
• 4:30
  SPEAKER_01: Ref at Braintree.
• 4:32
  SPEAKER_01: Is it poor?
• 4:33
  SPEAKER_01: She or was she?
• 4:35
SPEAKER_01: Listen, I'm not going on the gender side.
• 4:38
  SPEAKER_01: Piss poor.
• 4:39
  SPEAKER_01: Linesman as well.
• 4:40
SPEAKER_01: Didn't want to get involved.
• 4:41
SPEAKER_01: There was a kid in a cap, right?
• 4:43
  SPEAKER_01: I liked him.
• 4:44
SPEAKER_01: It's quite quiet that Carl Island, loads, 450 there.
• 4:47
SPEAKER_01: Like filled three sides, like two sides.
• 4:49
SPEAKER_01: And just Breeze didn't come from across in about the eighth minute.
• 4:52
SPEAKER_01: He's like, oh breeze, stop flapping at it and get out.
• 4:55
SPEAKER_01: It was like, oh hush.
• 4:56
SPEAKER_01: Then he just kept going, Thomas.
• 4:58
SPEAKER_01: And then it there's a someone's done a YouTube and they've scored, and you just see him going, I can't believe we've conceded this shower of shite.
• 5:06
  SPEAKER_01: It's like fair play.
• 5:07
SPEAKER_01: But uh old school fan, and it's Braintree again in a relegation battle.
• 5:13
SPEAKER_01: Big Johnnykin there's loads of teams, but it just didn't didn't hit them playing around from the back, and then had one shot and goal and scored.
• 5:21
SPEAKER_01: But Carl Elba comfortable, but it was poor watch.
• 5:26
  SPEAKER_01: Like was it?
• 5:27
  SPEAKER_01: Linny though.
• 5:28
  SPEAKER_01: He's back and forth.
• 5:29
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 5:30
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 5:30
  SPEAKER_01: 20 goals.
• 5:31
  SPEAKER_01: Aye.
• 5:31
  SPEAKER_01: 20 goals.
• 5:32
SPEAKER_01: Um another shout out though to the lads out west.
• 5:35
SPEAKER_01: Robert Newton runs a bus and he goes from West Cumbria and they just go everywhere.
• 5:40
SPEAKER_01: They went all the shot on a Tuesday night.
• 5:42
  SPEAKER_01: Even the midweekers.
• 5:43
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 5:43
  SPEAKER_01: They went on Saturday.
• 5:44
SPEAKER_01: And the fumers know about Truro because they've been to the Every Away game and the point system.
• 5:50
SPEAKER_01: So they should get a point.
• 5:51
SPEAKER_01: That may be a little shout.
• 5:53
  SPEAKER_01: So, episode nine.
• 5:56
  SPEAKER_01: Dylan do the build.
• 5:57
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 5:57
SPEAKER_01: Alright, episode nine, there we go.
• 6:06
SPEAKER_02: Never ever come to be friends.
• 6:19
SPEAKER_01: Right then, for anyone on YouTube, might be wondering why there's a little chair and microphone there.
• 6:25
SPEAKER_01: We've got someone in later, so stay tuned, who's been mentioned in a couple of uh previous episodes.
• 6:31
SPEAKER_01: He's not happy with how he's being portrayed.
• 6:33
  SPEAKER_01: Well, we'll see.
• 6:34
SPEAKER_01: But he's coming in to uh either add to the fire or put it out.
• 6:39
SPEAKER_01: I think add to it.
• 6:41
  SPEAKER_01: That's alright.
• 6:42
  SPEAKER_01: A quick one.
• 6:43
SPEAKER_01: You know, John Coleman who writes for the News and Star.
• 6:45
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 6:46
SPEAKER_01: Um done a great interview on Steve Haywood.
• 6:49
SPEAKER_01: So Steve Hayward was captain back in the day for Collow and the first one at Wembley.
• 6:53
  SPEAKER_01: Very good.
• 6:54
  SPEAKER_01: Very good player.
• 6:55
  SPEAKER_01: Centre mid.
• 6:56
SPEAKER_01: Was it Fulham when Tagona came in and he said he just completed so this was 1998 or something, 97.
• 7:03
SPEAKER_01: Tagona went Wenger, didn't he?
• 7:06
SPEAKER_01: Diet, how to play, play out from the back in Fulham, what class?
• 7:10
  SPEAKER_01: I felt I'll fire Ed Harrod's boss.
• 7:12
SPEAKER_01: He's just chucking in the money.
• 7:13
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they went to the city.
• 7:14
SPEAKER_01: Stevie was like a 50,000 signing, but he stayed when all these multi-million pound players came in, he played.
• 7:20
SPEAKER_01: So and you just said it was like top draw, and they just get a Harrods Christmas card handbag, and they get like 60% off in Harrods.
• 7:28
  SPEAKER_01: He's like saliehable.
• 7:29
SPEAKER_01: But his son, when he was born, had leukemia, about four or five years old, and um it's 20 years since.
• 7:37
SPEAKER_01: And he's he's done another interview with him, and his son is flying doing marathons, those yeah, so great story.
• 7:44
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it is.
• 7:44
SPEAKER_01: But uh yeah, well done, John Coleman, and well done Stevie Hayward and little Stevie Hayward.
• 7:49
SPEAKER_01: Well, not little now, just to the size of him.
• 7:51
SPEAKER_01: John's very good at his job, isn't he?
• 7:52
SPEAKER_01: He's very good, but I travelled with John doing the radio for a lot of years, and he always talks about when me and him fell out.
• 7:59
SPEAKER_01: So he'd done the ratings after a game.
• 8:00
SPEAKER_01: Oh, you take the card a few times, and I wasn't asked, but we were going for promotion, and one of the lads, Cleveland Taylor, was having a bit of a shitter, and he gave him a five, and I rang Coleman and I said, Listen, Coleman, like for the good of like his confidence, just chuck a six in or a seven, eh?
• 8:18
SPEAKER_01: He went, Yeah, I'll see what I can do.
• 8:21
  SPEAKER_01: Next game, I've got a five.
• 8:23
  SPEAKER_01: He's just got a five.
• 8:24
SPEAKER_01: John's just give you the big synoptic.
• 8:27
SPEAKER_01: But that's what he gave for chat.
• 8:29
SPEAKER_01: But when me, James, do radio and Coleman were coming back from games, and this is when Carl were a shower of shite under Keith Miller.
• 8:36
SPEAKER_01: They were just rolling over, weren't there?
• 8:37
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they were, yeah.
• 8:38
SPEAKER_01: There was players just not fit, not give a toss, between the four-nil, crowd was down.
• 8:43
SPEAKER_01: We'd get to like we'd say we'd play Cambridge away, and Coleman would be in the back doing his match report, but I'm taking about two hours, and then we knew after two hours when he's finished it, we'd do the ratings and we'd help get involved.
• 8:54
SPEAKER_01: So we'd get like weather be like, Oh where Coleman went and get in when can we get into this shower of shit?
• 8:59
SPEAKER_01: So we just debated all the time, and Coleman gave a two out once.
• 9:03
SPEAKER_01: No, give a two out.
• 9:04
SPEAKER_01: Tell you we got a three, Liam Cooper?
• 9:07
SPEAKER_01: What was the lost mark?
• 9:09
  SPEAKER_01: Aye, no way.
• 9:10
SPEAKER_00: What was the lowest mark you ever got on a Sunday in the News of the World?
• 9:14
  SPEAKER_00: Five.
• 9:14
SPEAKER_00: I got a three at home to Swindon.
• 9:16
  SPEAKER_00: Did you?
• 9:16
SPEAKER_01: Aye, and I didn't think I was that bad either.
• 9:18
  SPEAKER_01: Paul Vale.
• 9:18
  SPEAKER_01: Paul Vale, aye.
• 9:19
SPEAKER_01: I did the pop it.
• 9:21
  SPEAKER_01: Nah.
• 9:21
SPEAKER_01: You should start on nil nil.
• 9:23
SPEAKER_01: You should start on a six.
• 9:24
  SPEAKER_01: Aye.
• 9:25
SPEAKER_01: I thought you did start on like a five or a six.
• 9:27
SPEAKER_01: I did, did you not?
• 9:27
  SPEAKER_01: I couldn't believe it.
• 9:28
SPEAKER_01: Three, I thought, no way.
• 9:29
  SPEAKER_01: Alright, shambles.
• 9:30
  SPEAKER_01: Anyway.
• 9:31
  SPEAKER_01: It's bad enough.
• 9:32
SPEAKER_01: This week's sponsor is our Kingmore Park neighbours, where we're based here.
• 9:36
SPEAKER_01: Flexi Rental, whose director is Michael Seggy, who we know well.
• 9:40
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, great look.
• 9:41
SPEAKER_01: Uh, we have coaches Lad Hudson and Michael's team, Crusaders.
• 9:44
  SPEAKER_01: They're a good team.
• 9:45
  SPEAKER_01: Uh good lads.
• 9:46
SPEAKER_01: Uh, as we said last week, helps good parents, not pushy.
• 9:50
  SPEAKER_01: Well, so no more.
• 9:52
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 9:52
SPEAKER_01: So Flexi Rental is a Cumbria-based vehicle leasing firm based here on Kingmore Park.
• 9:57
SPEAKER_01: They wanted to get in today because they knew who our guest might be.
• 10:00
  SPEAKER_01: Because there's a time.
• 10:01
SPEAKER_01: Getting to know the businesses and people running it rather than just a credit score is what sets them apart.
• 10:07
  SPEAKER_01: Nice little thing.
• 10:08
  SPEAKER_01: Well done, Chris.
• 10:08
SPEAKER_01: But they're also very big on supporting communities, backing local clubs and charities because strong local businesses and strong communities go hand in hand.
• 10:17
SPEAKER_01: So thank you to Michael and Daly for the support.
• 10:20
  SPEAKER_01: Flexi Rental.
• 10:21
SPEAKER_01: And if you need a van or out, give them a ring, get online, get on Insta, and mention three in the middle, get a discount.
• 10:27
SPEAKER_01: And remember to subscribe to our YouTube channel because we've got some prizes and a few things coming up, but you've got to have subscribed.
• 10:34
  SPEAKER_01: Right.
• 10:35
  SPEAKER_01: Quick one.
• 10:36
  SPEAKER_01: 20 goals, 21 goals, Linny.
• 10:39
  SPEAKER_01: Bro it.
• 10:39
SPEAKER_01: You think every novel dried up for a few months as well, what we'd be sitting on, but to get 20 goals is phenomenal.
• 10:46
SPEAKER_00: It's again, isn't it how he got them?
• 10:47
SPEAKER_00: He's got them early doors then, like you say, it dried up for a bit.
• 10:49
SPEAKER_00: But now he seems to be uh getting back on the goal trail at the right time.
• 10:53
SPEAKER_01: So yeah long may continue.
• 10:56
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he he looks hungry again.
• 10:58
  SPEAKER_01: Does he?
• 10:58
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 10:59
SPEAKER_01: But he looks as well where people aren't getting at him for not tracking back because he's working hard.
• 11:03
SPEAKER_01: I always thought he worked hard and I thought he'd done enough, but you can't have him in the left back position.
• 11:08
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 11:09
SPEAKER_01: Looking after the left back all the time.
• 11:10
SPEAKER_01: And then expecting to do what he needs to do up top, yeah.
• 11:12
SPEAKER_01: As I've mentioned Bridgie a few times in there, so you mentioned like Alan Johnson, who's Scottish Alan Johnson in the Sunland.
• 11:18
SPEAKER_01: Let them up there, leave them up there.
• 11:21
SPEAKER_00: At times, but as long as they produce up there, you're alright with not doing that.
• 11:24
  SPEAKER_01: Look back there, I don't know.
• 11:26
SPEAKER_01: I was down there with um some of Laura's family who were from Essex, and they went, Who's this coming on?
• 11:32
SPEAKER_01: I went, Listen, we need him here.
• 11:34
SPEAKER_01: He'll try as he might give it away, but he'll try something.
• 11:37
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and then Was he got one one?
• 11:39
SPEAKER_01: No, yeah, yeah, one one.
• 11:41
SPEAKER_01: And he came on and he tried then defence splitters, and a couple came off and a couple didn't, but they were saying you can tell there's there's some Yeah, he's got quality in it, and again it's as you said with Linny and stuff as well.
• 11:51
SPEAKER_01: You need you need that maybe affecting the game going forward as much as you want to maybe a team player, but with the quality colour, you've got if they can if they can defend and lead them players up the pitch, they can go and affect it.
• 12:02
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, clear the difference.
• 12:04
SPEAKER_01: Your mate, big T fault again, was he?
• 12:07
  SPEAKER_01: Switch off, did he?
• 12:08
  SPEAKER_01: Big T.
• 12:09
  SPEAKER_01: Aye.
• 12:10
SPEAKER_01: But again, the people I'm with who've never watched a Corral game, they'll call them Van Dyke at the start.
• 12:15
  SPEAKER_01: Aye.
• 12:15
SPEAKER_01: They're going look at it I went.
• 12:17
  SPEAKER_01: I went out.
• 12:17
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's just that concentration.
• 12:20
SPEAKER_01: Feeling he was fair play, Feeney went mad, like um, and you know what's interesting when you're there, it's quiet.
• 12:26
SPEAKER_01: Gilead's head to the talk.
• 12:29
SPEAKER_01: Feeney always is Gabe and Gilead really, really loud.
• 12:34
  SPEAKER_00: Spy another team, yeah.
• 12:35
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, went off at half times, nursing a bit.
• 12:37
SPEAKER_01: Mockey says a few are creaking, and he's right, like yeah.
• 12:41
SPEAKER_01: Time of season, isn't it?
• 12:42
  SPEAKER_01: Play a little game.
• 12:43
SPEAKER_01: But another win, three wins in a week.
• 12:44
SPEAKER_01: Or we're calling it two wins in a week, whatever.
• 12:47
SPEAKER_01: But Gates said next Friday, Gates had a fly.
• 12:50
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they're doing well.
• 12:50
SPEAKER_00: They beat York at home as well, so it won't be hard.
• 12:53
SPEAKER_00: I split the lad who's uh back in charge, you know.
• 12:55
  SPEAKER_00: Robelli.
• 12:56
  SPEAKER_00: Robelli, yeah.
• 12:57
SPEAKER_00: I was Akron Stanley with him.
• 12:58
SPEAKER_00: We came along from Charton, really good keeper, and but it's another one I see him as a manager and he was just a jack the lad then.
• 13:03
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, was he?
• 13:03
SPEAKER_00: Uh you just see him.
• 13:04
SPEAKER_01: You know why I know he's a jack the lad?
• 13:06
SPEAKER_01: Because he got the third or fourth choice keeper in the castle for years.
• 13:08
  SPEAKER_00: Oh the dream.
• 13:09
SPEAKER_00: He had the dream, didn't he?
• 13:10
  SPEAKER_00: Loved it.
• 13:11
  SPEAKER_00: Golden ticket.
• 13:12
SPEAKER_00: I'm just sure it was.
• 13:13
  SPEAKER_01: Um Salah leaving Liverpool.
• 13:16
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Salah.
• 13:16
  SPEAKER_01: That's a surprise, isn't it?
• 13:18
  SPEAKER_01: I think it's time.
• 13:18
SPEAKER_01: He's got another year though, has he not?
• 13:20
SPEAKER_01: He's looked like he's tossed it right off this, yeah.
• 13:22
  SPEAKER_00: That's what I mean.
• 13:22
SPEAKER_00: When I say it's time, I think it's just come to a point where I don't know, I just think he's his his time sort of I mean he's still one of the main men, but he's just not really getting them goals and like he was.
• 13:34
SPEAKER_00: And but but does this big carry on about him leaving on a free with a year left?
• 13:38
SPEAKER_00: Trent got all this stick and the sort and then but everyone's sort of giving him his blessing, but what's the difference in it?
• 13:45
SPEAKER_01: I think what the argument is because Trent's a local, I don't mind any of it.
• 13:49
  SPEAKER_01: Um I'm the same.
• 13:50
  SPEAKER_01: I think he's won stuff, Trent.
• 13:51
SPEAKER_01: It's not as if he's like he's won everything.
• 13:54
SPEAKER_01: As like when you're from a certain area, then that's just your club, and that's the most important thing to eat.
• 13:59
SPEAKER_01: Do you know what I mean?
• 14:00
SPEAKER_01: But as a I know he's a local lad, but football terms to go and play for a Real Madrid and stuff is just another of it.
• 14:06
SPEAKER_01: Like, there's no probably no other club that he would leave for.
• 14:08
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you can't go if he goes to a man united, I go, okay.
• 14:10
SPEAKER_01: And it just opens you up worldwide.
• 14:13
SPEAKER_01: So I mean there's a one for you though.
• 14:14
  SPEAKER_01: Where will he go?
• 14:15
  SPEAKER_01: Um Trent if it's doesn't work.
• 14:18
  SPEAKER_01: It doesn't work.
• 14:18
SPEAKER_01: Well he's been left at English work, which is a strange one for me though.
• 14:23
SPEAKER_01: And then Ben White comes back in when Reese James and who else, someone someone else got injured.
• 14:28
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, got a little bit on Ben White in a bit.
• 14:30
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 14:31
  SPEAKER_01: But um yeah, I don't know.
• 14:33
SPEAKER_01: It he he plays and stuff, don't he?
• 14:35
SPEAKER_01: But I don't know if they're 100% if you've got that many defenders, Trent's gotta go because he can play set players, he can score pens, and he can play like and he can play right wing back, right back, centre.
• 14:45
SPEAKER_01: I mean, if you have to.
• 14:46
SPEAKER_01: I know, just if you have to, you can create something from nothing as well.
• 14:49
SPEAKER_01: White he made a good point though.
• 14:50
SPEAKER_01: He keeps saying he can play here.
• 14:53
SPEAKER_01: We've got a player who can play left back, right back.
• 14:55
SPEAKER_01: Just choose the best players.
• 14:56
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, choose the best players, and then if someone has to go out for a game on left back, there's still gonna be competent, yeah.
• 15:01
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
• 15:03
  SPEAKER_01: It's a strange alright there.
• 15:05
  SPEAKER_01: Um so, yeah.
• 15:07
SPEAKER_01: So Salah leaving is Saudi or America, gotta be Saudi.
• 15:11
SPEAKER_01: I like the lad who's leave Casemero, man you.
• 15:14
SPEAKER_01: He's just like ah, where you go, he might probably Miami.
• 15:18
SPEAKER_01: Not bad, living the best life, probably Miami, yeah.
• 15:22
SPEAKER_01: He's clear a couple more years in Miami, you're not playing.
• 15:25
  SPEAKER_01: He's just chilled.
• 15:26
SPEAKER_01: Absolutely cracked it as real.
• 15:27
  SPEAKER_01: Oh good player.
• 15:29
  SPEAKER_01: I know.
• 15:30
SPEAKER_01: He's top, but you think when he left Real Madrid, I mean, do you think they knew?
• 15:34
  SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
• 15:34
SPEAKER_01: It was like people saying his legs and that had gone with it.
• 15:38
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but he got twice his wage, manu, apparently.
• 15:41
SPEAKER_01: Because Real Madrid have got this system where you get to a certain age, and if you haven't played a certain amount of games, it drops a bit, still great wins.
• 15:49
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
• 15:49
SPEAKER_01: But he was getting the same at Manu, and that's why he can choose to go Miami now, create them all, some life.
• 15:54
SPEAKER_01: So, yeah, just want to talk about Brian Bobby last week, the Sunderland striker.
• 15:59
SPEAKER_01: So, for me, the perfect striker to play with runs the channels, tough as nails, put the ball into him, just held everyone off.
• 16:08
SPEAKER_01: Someone said uh there's an interview with them tough day to day when not really, yeah.
• 16:13
  SPEAKER_01: Ragdolled everyone, didn't I?
• 16:15
SPEAKER_00: I heard the interview, it said something about him against Dan Burns.
• 16:17
SPEAKER_00: That's it, and then he just said, Yeah, but uh one or something like that.
• 16:20
  SPEAKER_00: I would bully.
• 16:21
SPEAKER_01: And then another interview that went tough afternoon, he went, was it?
• 16:25
  SPEAKER_01: Was it really?
• 16:26
  SPEAKER_01: That's clacky.
• 16:28
SPEAKER_01: Becky, he'd probably go a bit, he'll go again.
• 16:30
  SPEAKER_01: Do you think?
• 16:30
  SPEAKER_01: Do you think?
• 16:31
  SPEAKER_01: How old is he?
• 16:32
  SPEAKER_01: He's wrong.
• 16:32
  SPEAKER_01: 23, 23.
• 16:33
SPEAKER_01: Where'd he get him from?
• 16:34
  SPEAKER_01: Ajax, I think.
• 16:35
  SPEAKER_01: Alright.
• 16:35
SPEAKER_01: You're trying to test me, yeah?
• 16:36
SPEAKER_01: I'm thinking you know the answer, so I've had a traumatic day.
• 16:40
SPEAKER_01: So let's talk about great Premier League strikers and forwards.
• 16:44
  SPEAKER_01: Wait, Dylan.
• 16:45
SPEAKER_01: Is this because I said Shudo wasn't on top by that, aren't you?
• 16:48
  SPEAKER_01: What is it?
• 16:49
SPEAKER_01: She do I said we were.
• 16:50
SPEAKER_01: Can I just can I just give an example of the strikers in it?
• 16:53
  SPEAKER_01: This is strikers, right?
• 16:55
SPEAKER_01: Not inside forwards and all that sight.
• 16:57
  SPEAKER_01: Number nines.
• 16:58
SPEAKER_01: So Terry Venevals in Euro 96 is so when we were called we were had that tournament work class.
• 17:05
SPEAKER_01: His choice from you had to pick four strikers.
• 17:08
SPEAKER_01: His choice was Shearer, Sherinham, Andy Cole, who was the Premier League top scorer, Robbie Fowler, who was second, Chris Sutton, who banged over 20, Les Ferdinand, who was an animal, Ian Wright, shit hot.
• 17:22
SPEAKER_01: Stan Colymore was kind of your depends how his head was, wasn't it?
• 17:25
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 17:26
SPEAKER_01: Because when he was head was right, he was untouchable, wasn't he?
• 17:28
SPEAKER_01: And then I'm gonna chuck it in.
• 17:29
SPEAKER_01: I know he's not an out and out, but he was class as it.
• 17:34
  SPEAKER_00: This is 1996 though.
• 17:35
SPEAKER_01: So that's what so this isn't what we're going over, but this is what Venables had to pick.
• 17:39
  SPEAKER_01: To choose from, yeah.
• 17:40
SPEAKER_01: So he went, Venables went, which four you're picking?
• 17:43
SPEAKER_01: He was like, Fuck that.
• 17:45
SPEAKER_01: Laid like two defenders out and went baked, went heavy.
• 17:48
SPEAKER_01: So I'm pretty sure he went, well, she ran Sheridan were in.
• 17:52
  SPEAKER_01: Fowler was in.
• 17:52
SPEAKER_01: Fowler was in because you see him milking it when they when the pen shootouts.
• 17:56
SPEAKER_01: Les Ferdinand was in, Ian Wright got injured, Collimo and Beardzi got released after a couple of friendlies, I think.
• 18:02
  SPEAKER_00: Did they?
• 18:03
SPEAKER_01: I might be wrong on that.
• 18:04
  SPEAKER_01: Beersy definitely did.
• 18:06
SPEAKER_01: And Andy Cole, yeah, I don't think Andy Cole made it.
• 18:09
SPEAKER_01: It was that big who haw and he was the top scorer.
• 18:11
  SPEAKER_01: Cusson.
• 18:12
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it didn't make.
• 18:14
SPEAKER_01: They played an England B game, didn't they?
• 18:15
SPEAKER_01: You know that Natisia scored a hat trick in the England B game, still didn't get a pick.
• 18:19
  SPEAKER_00: That's why he did I.
• 18:21
SPEAKER_01: So, in the Prem, who is your favourite forward two?
• 18:26
SPEAKER_01: Including the above that we just said.
• 18:28
SPEAKER_01: You've got Ogero, Rooney, Kane, Haaland, Drogpa, Henri, Burkamp.
• 18:35
SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna leave Ronaldo out.
• 18:37
SPEAKER_01: Van Nistelroy, Van Nistelroy, Suarez, and Owen.
• 18:41
SPEAKER_01: So Oguero, Rooney, Kane, Haaland, Drogpa, Henri, Burkamp, Vanisroy, Suarez, Owen.
• 18:50
SPEAKER_00: Owen at 17 and 18 was unstoppable.
• 18:53
  SPEAKER_00: Got the Ballon d'Or 21.
• 18:54
  SPEAKER_00: Unstopping.
• 18:55
SPEAKER_00: Uh I've just said to Dylan before.
• 18:56
SPEAKER_00: I remember I watched him score Hatchick at St James's Park.
• 18:59
SPEAKER_00: And it was like, you know, the best kids.
• 19:01
SPEAKER_01: Against Liverpool against Newcastle for Liverpool.
• 19:03
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 19:03
  SPEAKER_00: And you've done that.
• 19:04
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 19:04
SPEAKER_00: Just go back from the World Cup.
• 19:06
SPEAKER_00: I was in the I was in the second row with my dad and he was like, Were you at there?
• 19:09
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's just signed, yeah.
• 19:10
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 19:11
  SPEAKER_01: 1988, I yeah, I signed.
• 19:13
SPEAKER_00: I think it was about the year of science, 97 or 98.
• 19:16
SPEAKER_00: I've never seen anything like it.
• 19:17
SPEAKER_00: Like just one player destroy a team on his own.
• 19:19
SPEAKER_00: He was fun on it.
• 19:20
SPEAKER_01: Wasn't it the first half at Rick?
• 19:21
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it was.
• 19:22
SPEAKER_01: Remember Andy Gray saying, I've never seen anything like this before, and you hadn't just feel this.
• 19:27
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 19:27
SPEAKER_01: 18-year-olds come up to the World Cup.
• 19:29
  SPEAKER_01: Just pace.
• 19:30
SPEAKER_01: Like once he got a yard on them, they just couldn't clock it back and he just took away from them.
• 19:35
SPEAKER_01: Tell me this though, right?
• 19:36
SPEAKER_01: See, like now where like the the the defenders are so physical quite it wouldn't get away.
• 19:42
SPEAKER_01: Would he get away with being being that sad?
• 19:45
  SPEAKER_01: That's the thing.
• 19:46
SPEAKER_01: This is as berades, isn't it?
• 19:48
SPEAKER_01: Would he be as good if he came through an end?
• 19:51
SPEAKER_01: No, I don't know why there's no questions asked about how big the strips were there.
• 19:54
  SPEAKER_01: Oh massive.
• 19:55
SPEAKER_01: Anytime someone posts a picture of me in a Sutherland top, one is it was one size fits all?
• 20:01
SPEAKER_01: Was to make sure it fits banned you at the same time.
• 20:04
  SPEAKER_01: Right, hey.
• 20:05
SPEAKER_01: We've got to do it.
• 20:06
  SPEAKER_01: Keep holding that question.
• 20:08
  SPEAKER_01: Right.
• 20:08
  SPEAKER_01: About those kits.
• 20:09
  SPEAKER_01: Going in.
• 20:10
  SPEAKER_01: Fellow.
• 20:11
  SPEAKER_01: Alright, alright.
• 20:12
SPEAKER_00: So on depends on it.
• 20:13
SPEAKER_01: She ra goes in, doesn't he?
• 20:15
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 20:16
SPEAKER_01: He does for me, Jim.
• 20:17
SPEAKER_01: She's the all-top Premier League goal scorer.
• 20:21
  SPEAKER_01: Highland, yeah.
• 20:22
  SPEAKER_01: I know that.
• 20:22
SPEAKER_01: But if you watch that.
• 20:24
SPEAKER_01: The thing is if you've looked at me like steal through my soul.
• 20:27
SPEAKER_01: If you watch Sheera though, he's not gonna take anyone.
• 20:30
SPEAKER_01: But what surprised me, you know, we spoke about not long ago about when you get into a football and dressing room, and you do demand it from your mates, but you don't demand it too much because you don't want to look cringe.
• 20:40
SPEAKER_01: It surprised me how much you demanded from Solano and Robert to cross it.
• 20:44
SPEAKER_01: If they didn't cross it in for him, he'd go absolutely.
• 20:48
SPEAKER_00: Well, I was obviously I was I was there and around him when he was scoring all these goals, and like the respect he had off his teammates was frightening.
• 20:55
SPEAKER_01: Was he a prick in the dressing?
• 20:56
  SPEAKER_00: No, not at all.
• 20:57
SPEAKER_00: Do you know it was a I was gutted one time because all us Joys were in the away change room, about six or seven of us, never we had to sit in there.
• 21:04
SPEAKER_00: We were like training with, but we weren't So you weren't your team and he's weren't first.
• 21:07
SPEAKER_00: We were just like sort of in the middle, hoping to get that.
• 21:10
  SPEAKER_00: But that's where suddenly we're good.
• 21:11
SPEAKER_00: Well he must have felt sorry for us, so he's coming and he's got lads, I've got a I've got a little treat for you.
• 21:14
SPEAKER_01: So this big like wagon pull up, but it's all um broge, wasn't he?
• 21:20
SPEAKER_01: So I said, buy a me on Nike at his door, and it was playing, and it would be great now, and brought and loads of him.
• 21:25
SPEAKER_00: Hey, go lads, little treat for you.
• 21:27
SPEAKER_00: Charlie Boyd on Rod's Humble again.
• 21:30
  SPEAKER_00: Bought trackers.
• 21:31
SPEAKER_00: Aye, so but no, he was it he was a he was a good guy, mate, but the respect he demanded off them, but like you say, that she'd have he deserved it because if he just scored all the time.
• 21:42
  SPEAKER_01: I'm trying to think.
• 21:43
SPEAKER_01: I think Rooney's got to be in there.
• 21:45
  SPEAKER_01: Rooney's got now.
• 21:46
  SPEAKER_01: Came.
• 21:48
SPEAKER_01: But if you think if it's just Premier League though, on it Game is Came is obviously but he was gonna if he stayed though, he was gonna be top.
• 21:56
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it would have been.
• 21:58
SPEAKER_01: See, Rooney's my number one probably my Number one at his best.
• 22:01
SPEAKER_01: But as a bloke, though, we like him as a bloke, don't we?
• 22:03
  SPEAKER_01: Are we afraid?
• 22:04
SPEAKER_01: We like him like kicking people.
• 22:05
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he's he's got to have a bit of bow in my way, he's very normal, isn't he?
• 22:08
  SPEAKER_01: Um see switch up.
• 22:10
SPEAKER_01: See if you were a centre half.
• 22:11
SPEAKER_01: Who would you not want you'd want to play against Henry and Burkham?
• 22:15
  SPEAKER_01: Drogba.
• 22:16
SPEAKER_01: As a pair, you mean?
• 22:17
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you know what?
• 22:19
SPEAKER_01: It sounds weird, and this is what I meant about Joan Shearer's, like but this is what I said about like I feel like defenders would probably be like, right.
• 22:25
SPEAKER_01: But this is what I meant about yeah, Mark Chommers.
• 22:27
SPEAKER_01: Gerard, I know you know he's gonna do.
• 22:29
SPEAKER_01: She really you know he's gonna pin you and play it out wide, so you're like, alright, Drogbar could either pin you or you could drop that always.
• 22:36
SPEAKER_01: Henry would dribble past you, he was strong, he could hang in the air, and Jimmy um Jimmy Carigas talks about uneasy, isn't it?
• 22:43
SPEAKER_01: But if you ask anybody who played with Drogbar like Terry and Lampard, they'll be his number their number one.
• 22:48
SPEAKER_01: I don't listen to anything John Terry has to say.
• 22:50
SPEAKER_01: I've already posted that clip of him dancing in the skiing resort.
• 22:54
  SPEAKER_01: I haven't seen it.
• 22:54
SPEAKER_01: And that's one of many.
• 22:55
  SPEAKER_01: Is it?
• 22:56
SPEAKER_01: There's a lot of reasons I don't quite cringe, to be honest.
• 22:58
  SPEAKER_01: Oh he's cringe.
• 22:59
SPEAKER_01: What about when you put up um what he would do in the tactics for a game?
• 23:03
SPEAKER_01: So what he's done is on a Is this because you never got the call.
• 23:06
  SPEAKER_01: There's a game on a Chelsea game.
• 23:08
  SPEAKER_01: He never got it.
• 23:08
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, the Chelsea interim thing.
• 23:09
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 23:10
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so he his your team manager got called up to take it.
• 23:13
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, I need to.
• 23:14
SPEAKER_01: So in the morning he's put the and he's put this is what I would do.
• 23:16
  SPEAKER_01: Ne ones horse, John.
• 23:18
  SPEAKER_02: No, no.
• 23:20
SPEAKER_01: Tell you what, behind him, he had like a pool table, a bar, and I went, sit there all day and have a can.
• 23:26
  SPEAKER_01: Just relax.
• 23:27
SPEAKER_01: He's bet he's better going in somewhere, like a proper cat, like, and take this, take the Chelsea under 19s or 23s or what like that's your role for the next couple of years.
• 23:35
SPEAKER_01: Improve yourself and then but you find it late and you're still involved with the club, but like you want now mentoring a little bit, and it's like the job's gonna come up, he's just gonna take it.
• 23:43
SPEAKER_01: To be fair, everyone who's had dealings with him says he's top boy, like do they say he's class lads?
• 23:47

SPEAKER_01: I just don't think there's any wrong answers, really.
• 25:07
SPEAKER_01: You've got you've got an argument for all of them, but um, I'll go drug bar and runny.
• 25:12
SPEAKER_01: All the manual players talk that man, they're still always a joke.
• 25:14
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 25:15
SPEAKER_01: So we're no further forward, are we?
• 25:17
SPEAKER_01: Well, who did you say?
• 25:18
  SPEAKER_01: I'll go runny.
• 25:19
  SPEAKER_01: Drogba.
• 25:21
  SPEAKER_00: I'll go ruining Ornery.
• 25:30
SPEAKER_01: We are still on, by the way.
• 25:31
  SPEAKER_01: She-ra.
• 25:32
SPEAKER_01: Your mate's not to check that mate.
• 25:34
  SPEAKER_01: Shera.
• 25:36
  SPEAKER_01: You love She-Rab.
• 25:38
SPEAKER_00: I loved Ferdinand, you know.
• 25:41
SPEAKER_01: Shera, yeah, Ferdinand didn't get buried in the castle.
• 25:44
  SPEAKER_01: Oh.
• 25:46
SPEAKER_01: Shera and Imagine She-Ra and Drogba together.
• 25:51
SPEAKER_01: Oh god, all the best.
• 25:53
  SPEAKER_01: Shera and Henri.

SPEAKER_01: None of them are you can't like.
• 25:56
SPEAKER_00: Was Sheila and the people who got Shea quick?
• 25:59
  SPEAKER_01: He'd done two cruciates in '93, '93.
• 26:02
SPEAKER_01: And that makes his vowel return even.
• 26:04
SPEAKER_01: And it wasn't when it was like you're out for nine months, yeah.
• 26:07
SPEAKER_01: He's out for 14 years old and still hit them goals.
• 26:11
SPEAKER_01: There you go, my argument.
• 26:12
  SPEAKER_01: There you go.
• 26:13
SPEAKER_01: Who's the best player you played with?
• 26:15
SPEAKER_01: Uh centre forward, centre forward, nine centre forward.
• 26:18
SPEAKER_01: Um Gary Hooper or Samana Hillsbare.
• 26:24
  SPEAKER_01: George Samana.
• 26:25
SPEAKER_01: Gary Hooper played against him when he played at South End and then Scunny Scott.
• 26:29
SPEAKER_01: Played, he's he always comes up in the quizzes, uh, Gary Hooper.
• 26:32
  SPEAKER_01: There's a guy who's hair's always immaculate in your boot.
• 26:34
SPEAKER_01: I used to get a haircut before you similar to you.
• 26:36
SPEAKER_01: I was gonna say, get to haircut every Friday, skip get to it.
• 26:40
SPEAKER_01: He's nicked your crown today, hasn't he?
• 26:41
SPEAKER_01: And some of it's went wrong.
• 26:42
SPEAKER_01: Let me I've got a whole question.
• 26:44
  SPEAKER_01: I've got a great question.
• 26:45
SPEAKER_01: I thought the cuff would have been mentioned before, man.
• 26:47
SPEAKER_01: And I've said this to Julian by the way, what age is it that you're too old for a skin fed?
• 26:52
  SPEAKER_01: I can't.
• 26:53
SPEAKER_01: Oh, I'm me, you today.
• 26:54
  SPEAKER_01: No, no, just do.
• 26:56
SPEAKER_01: I just want to put that out there.
• 26:57
SPEAKER_01: What age do you think a guy, like a man going into a barber's asking for a skin feed?
• 27:01
SPEAKER_01: What age is a bit in Carlisle, it's mid-70s.
• 27:06
  SPEAKER_01: Well, yeah.
• 27:08
SPEAKER_01: That lad, the one next to the cali does a roaring for you, doesn't he?
• 27:12
SPEAKER_01: Julian goes to the one in um I can't remember the name yet anyway, but there's one in town near the lanes, and he says like he's got pictures of his cell on the wall and stuff.
• 27:20
SPEAKER_01: He kisses his muscles and all that.
• 27:22
SPEAKER_01: Exactly what it is in the market.
• 27:23
  SPEAKER_01: Aye, I mean.
• 27:26
SPEAKER_01: The uh the skin feed though, they make their money because if you get a skin feed, you've got to go and back five days later and keep up with it.
• 27:32
  SPEAKER_00: Well, it's a Monday morning, isn't it?
• 27:33
SPEAKER_00: Well I so best centre forward that I played with um probably Stephen Brooker at Port Well.
• 27:39
SPEAKER_00: Phenomenal, just the way he held it up and brought others into play was a dream to play with I.
• 27:44
  SPEAKER_00: Kev Phillips.
• 27:46
  SPEAKER_00: Oh well.
• 27:47
SPEAKER_01: But if I'm gonna say, I'm not gonna give it the big in because I was at Sun and I didn't play many games with him.
• 27:51
  SPEAKER_01: So Carl Hawley.
• 27:53
  SPEAKER_01: Who class?
• 27:53
  SPEAKER_01: Carl Hawley.
• 27:55
SPEAKER_01: If a Carlisle was he?
• 27:56
  SPEAKER_01: Really good.
• 27:56
SPEAKER_01: So yeah, I'm sure Major and that 2025.
• 28:00
SPEAKER_01: The guests, like, has he just said who?
• 28:02
  SPEAKER_01: Great lad, great lad.
• 28:04
SPEAKER_01: Nobody's right though, he's got a lot of viewers from not round Carlisle, true, yeah.
• 28:08
SPEAKER_01: So he was top drawer.
• 28:09
SPEAKER_01: Carl Hawley, um, I told you about the Gary Medine crank, didn't I?
• 28:12
SPEAKER_01: When he handbraked his car and went back to Bolton.
• 28:14
  SPEAKER_01: Aye.
• 28:15
SPEAKER_01: Um, Carl was gonna come back here, and uh there's a kind of it was when Gakola were on there all, so he was just used to us being up there, Carl.
• 28:23
SPEAKER_01: And then when him and Joe were starting to think about coming back, we were a bit like it was just not the same club until like Symour got involved here.
• 28:30
SPEAKER_01: But this was under someone else, call and he was like only thing that was drawing him back was the heartstrings, so he was thinking about it, and I think off I would have been about you know what, 1500 quid a week, something like that.
• 28:40
  SPEAKER_01: Which still good money.
• 28:41
SPEAKER_01: He got the call, didn't he?
• 28:42
SPEAKER_01: Fnotts County, Sven, was it?
• 28:44
SPEAKER_01: Whatever you're on at Preston, we'll match.
• 28:47
  SPEAKER_01: Hello! Stripped in vain.
• 28:50
SPEAKER_01: We'll have to get we'll get call on.
• 28:51
SPEAKER_01: He tells about Sol Campbell's three days at Knotts County when the song called.
• 28:57
SPEAKER_01: I mean, which might be as well, uh yeah.
• 28:58
SPEAKER_01: We see the same age as you as well about Uda.
• 29:00
  SPEAKER_01: Cause yeah, below me.
• 29:01
SPEAKER_01: Below, yeah, below, but top draw.
• 29:04
SPEAKER_01: He got left out the conference playoff semi-finals and final, and he was still our top scorer that season.
• 29:10
SPEAKER_01: Simmo left him out and he came back.
• 29:12
SPEAKER_01: He said to Simmon, give me the number ten.
• 29:14
SPEAKER_01: He said the players are where what you meant, give me the number ten next year.
• 29:17
SPEAKER_01: Right, Rhett'll give you it.
• 29:18
  SPEAKER_01: Carl came.
• 29:19
SPEAKER_01: He was in good nick, anyway.
• 29:20
SPEAKER_01: Carl came back like shredded, yeah.
• 29:23
SPEAKER_01: And he just took off 20 goals, like got two in his first two games, and then just class.
• 29:29
  SPEAKER_01: Clown watch.
• 29:31
SPEAKER_01: I'm just gonna say it as a whole.
• 29:34
SPEAKER_01: Tottenham Hot Spur Football Club.
• 29:36
SPEAKER_01: So, anyone new listening, we have a clown watch every week.
• 29:39
  SPEAKER_01: There's been a few.
• 29:40
SPEAKER_01: Um, Liam Racena had a two weeks running, I think.
• 29:43
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Chelsea Keepers had it.
• 29:45
SPEAKER_01: Uh Luka Nines had it.
• 29:48
SPEAKER_01: Um and this week I'm just going Tottenham Hot Spurs, a football club.
• 29:52
  SPEAKER_01: Shambles, aren't they?
• 29:53
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, but they've finally got rid of him.
• 29:55
SPEAKER_01: Uh, but who's gonna be reckoned Disebri or something?
• 29:59
SPEAKER_01: What he's gonna come now.
• 30:00
SPEAKER_01: Now because they need something.
• 30:02
SPEAKER_01: I've seen something on the who's the player that used to play Tim Sherwood, as a young king of guy.
• 30:08
  SPEAKER_01: Oh Ryan Mason.
• 30:11
SPEAKER_01: Ryan Mason being a manager at West Brom.
• 30:13
  SPEAKER_01: Mason, yeah.
• 30:13
SPEAKER_01: And he was caretaker a few times to go.
• 30:15
SPEAKER_01: That's not is that gonna inspire you like that.
• 30:18
  SPEAKER_00: Who would you pick?
• 30:19
SPEAKER_01: As much as it pains me to say it, I think if Sherwood and Harry Rennap went in there together they would make have the biggest impact.
• 30:26
  SPEAKER_01: Just for seven games.
• 30:28
  SPEAKER_01: No longer.
• 30:28
  SPEAKER_01: Not long turning.
• 30:29
  SPEAKER_01: Just for seven games.
• 30:30
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I agree.
• 30:31
  SPEAKER_01: I just don't I don't s I don't know.
• 30:33
  SPEAKER_01: I don't think they need coached.
• 30:34
SPEAKER_01: I think they need just a rocket and then it probably that's why the boy had just left, come in, wouldn't it?
• 30:39
SPEAKER_01: Like supposedly it was like, right, come in and just go through them.
• 30:43
SPEAKER_01: Do you mean they get like be like a strong character, and then the players have let's say by walking so just sacked them off, not having it.
• 30:49
SPEAKER_01: Said it was too hot.
• 30:50
SPEAKER_01: Why would these nothing for us players and spare they can get away with it?
• 30:53
SPEAKER_01: They go to the chairman now and go.
• 30:55
  SPEAKER_01: Trend's too hard, yeah.
• 30:56
SPEAKER_01: Well it's easier to sack one guy, innit, than try to get rid of half a team that are all moaning and complaining, innit?
• 31:02
SPEAKER_01: Clown watch I I feel for no, I don't feel for her.
• 31:05
  SPEAKER_01: You know what?
• 31:06
SPEAKER_01: She wouldn't mean want me being feeling sorry for her.
• 31:08
SPEAKER_01: She was putting that game on Saturday against Carlisle on merit.
• 31:11
SPEAKER_01: She's obviously done everything right to get there.
• 31:14
SPEAKER_01: Massively crap ref out of death.
• 31:16
SPEAKER_01: Pen on pen on Linny, a few other things and just rubbish.
• 31:20
SPEAKER_01: The ref at uh the England game as well, clown.
• 31:24
SPEAKER_01: Two yellow cards for a guard, didn't you?
• 31:25
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because Ben White's goal was a foul.
• 31:30
  SPEAKER_01: It's a block.
• 31:31
  SPEAKER_01: No think.
• 31:33
  SPEAKER_01: England, innit?
• 31:34
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but it's a block.
• 31:36
  SPEAKER_01: It's a clear block.
• 31:38
  SPEAKER_01: England's Bill Stuard.
• 31:40
SPEAKER_01: He should have got sent off.
• 31:41
  SPEAKER_01: Wasn't a pen for that.
• 31:42
SPEAKER_01: Maguire nearly kicks his leg off, do you know what I mean?
• 31:44
  SPEAKER_01: It's a pen.
• 31:44
SPEAKER_01: Hey, what about the the bloody manager?
• 31:47
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Harry Dunwell, but he's still fifth choice.
• 31:50
SPEAKER_01: Just killed him there, isn't it?
• 31:51
  SPEAKER_01: What for how it?
• 31:52
SPEAKER_01: I'm all one for honesty, but play the game.
• 31:54
SPEAKER_01: I think Maguire's got to be in that squad.
• 31:58
  SPEAKER_01: I think it's just experience, isn't he?
• 31:59
SPEAKER_01: He's been to like what two World Cup to put a couple Euros, like he's been there and done it.
• 32:03
SPEAKER_01: Do you know what I mean?
• 32:04
SPEAKER_01: Put him up top sometimes, last five, ten minutes.
• 32:07
  SPEAKER_01: Because he's carved.
• 32:08
SPEAKER_01: He's got a great goal record for England.
• 32:11
SPEAKER_01: And he can take a pen, by the way.
• 32:13
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's a bit of a member it in the top corner.
• 32:15
SPEAKER_01: Best pen I've ever seen.
• 32:16
SPEAKER_01: Kevin Pressman, Chef Wed, penalty shootout against Wolves, I think it was.
• 32:20
SPEAKER_01: Chef Wed keeper, just strutted up.
• 32:23
  SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
• 32:24
SPEAKER_01: Might as well have said the keeper and putting it there, he's still not getting there.
• 32:27
  SPEAKER_01: Smashed it.
• 32:28
SPEAKER_01: So Clown Watch, Tottenham Hotspur.
• 32:30
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 32:30
SPEAKER_01: On a hole, they'll go if they go down something.
• 32:34
SPEAKER_01: It'll be fun going to Charlton away and that.
• 32:36
SPEAKER_01: If Lincoln go up, I know what a fixed.
• 32:38
SPEAKER_01: If Lincoln go up, Lincoln got Tottenham Hotspur at Lincoln's.
• 32:41
  SPEAKER_01: That's mad, isn't it?
• 32:42
SPEAKER_01: It doesn't sound right, does it?
• 32:43
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, of course.
• 32:43
SPEAKER_01: I've seen on Talksport they're saying about 300 million or something's gonna cost them if they get relegated in there.
• 32:47
SPEAKER_01: Imagine Lincoln, you know Lincoln when they get us through it.
• 32:50
SPEAKER_01: They do the air race sign at sirens, they do?
• 32:53
SPEAKER_01: Oh no, they do so they do an air raid sign.
• 32:55
SPEAKER_01: Oh, is that one the World Cup or what at Lincoln?
• 32:57
  SPEAKER_01: Aye, what's the narrow?
• 33:00
SPEAKER_01: They shouldn't have got rid of Ange.
• 33:01
SPEAKER_01: I'm telling you, they should not have got rid of Ange.
• 33:05
SPEAKER_01: Well, it's looking that way a little bit three seasons ago, but aye.
• 33:08
  SPEAKER_01: Right.
• 33:09
  SPEAKER_01: What's the crack?
• 33:10
SPEAKER_01: We're going on to it, because as I said, we've got a guest coming up.
• 33:12
  SPEAKER_01: We have.
• 33:13
  SPEAKER_01: Don't get nervous.
• 33:14
SPEAKER_01: Uh again, what's the crack is sponsored by Warwick Road Bed Centre and their new and used furniture store on Brook Street.
• 33:21
SPEAKER_01: We can't thank Julian and staff enough.
• 33:24
SPEAKER_01: We'll be heading down there soon to sort Dylan out a new mattress because Julian is absolutely feeling these foldie and film a few things.
• 33:32
SPEAKER_01: So looking forward to that.
• 33:34
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 33:34
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 33:34
SPEAKER_01: Again, get yourself down there.
• 33:36
SPEAKER_01: They can source any style you want and also mention us for the better deal.
• 33:41
SPEAKER_01: Right, question for the pods.
• 33:43
SPEAKER_01: Thoughts on Ben White being back in the England squad after what seems like turning his back on England.
• 33:49
SPEAKER_01: So, Adrian Durham, who's very well in the known talk sport.
• 33:54
SPEAKER_01: Explaining the set speculation surrounding his World Cup departure, because he left, didn't he, in the World Cup?
• 34:00
SPEAKER_01: Durham spoke to people in the know and said, Now I'm going to give you what the speculation is, and I don't really care if people don't like me saying it.
• 34:08
  SPEAKER_01: I generally don't care.
• 34:09
  SPEAKER_01: He's on one.
• 34:10
SPEAKER_01: This is what I'm led to understand has happened with Ben White.
• 34:13
SPEAKER_01: The players were told to watch videos of opponents, and they were given videos on their laptops, iPads, whatever it was.
• 34:21
SPEAKER_01: He decided not to watch the England that watched them, and the England analysts knew because they had the tech to see who had watched it and who hadn't.
• 34:29
SPEAKER_01: Then they had a big meeting, they went through a few things, got to Ben White and asked him what you think about this.
• 34:35
SPEAKER_01: Obviously stuttered, said, Come on, Ben, we know you haven't watched it.
• 34:40
SPEAKER_01: And that's when he quit England.
• 34:42
SPEAKER_00: Well it's quite common knowledge that he's not a massive football fan, is he?
• 34:46
SPEAKER_00: Like apart from playing it, he doesn't watch any of it, does it?
• 34:48
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it doesn't.
• 34:49
SPEAKER_00: But I think that's part of being with England if you get like a task to do like that.
• 34:53
SPEAKER_00: Surely he's got to do it as he's got it.
• 34:54
SPEAKER_01: But he'd watch it for Arteta.
• 34:57
  unknown: Yeah.
• 34:57
SPEAKER_01: It's not like he hasn't got to be a lot of people.
• 35:00
SPEAKER_01: But we've got a responsibility as a footballer to watch the set play.
• 35:03
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 35:04
  SPEAKER_01: Well, I think if that's right, I mean, I feel better.
• 35:09
SPEAKER_01: But well Steve Colland, the coach he fell out with, Steve Colland, when I went on loan to crew in the championship from Sunderland, he was a youth team coach, and he was so busy, quite annoyingly busy at the time, so only a young bloke, but his sessions were unbelievable.
• 35:24
SPEAKER_01: So he was Garrett Southgate's assistant, he's our own carrick at my new.
• 35:27
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 35:27
SPEAKER_01: And every player that's worked under him just said, Simmons said, Oh, I think it was Simmons, someone said he put a session on at St George's Park, everyone went down to watch it, all his coaches said it was like nothing they've ever seen before, said it was fantastic.
• 35:42
SPEAKER_01: No, obviously he's he must be a top coach.
• 35:45
SPEAKER_01: I mean he'll be working at that level, but Ben White, as you said, came out a few times, haven't he?
• 35:49
SPEAKER_01: And he kind of openly doesn't watch football, didn't really like football apart from playing it.
• 35:54
SPEAKER_01: It was the job to him, isn't it?
• 35:55
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but and then I I do get on their side they'll try to they'll try to get every sort of detail they can and be prepared.
• 36:01
SPEAKER_01: All the one percenters that are just trying to be super pre prepared.
• 36:05
SPEAKER_01: And if he's kinda turning his turning his head to it, do you know what I mean and not really listening then I I see well that'd probably be frustrating for the for the coach.
• 36:15
SPEAKER_01: And in his head though, it might be a case of because I'm kinda not similar to that, but I don't like watching too much.
• 36:22
SPEAKER_01: Now I'd I'd I'd like to know details about who I'm playing against and then that's see if I overwatch it too much and then I'm in my head about like I'd rather just be kind of open and free.
• 36:31
SPEAKER_01: He's probably got a good argument to it as well, and saying, Listen, I watched it, I just didn't go into the details.
• 36:36
SPEAKER_01: It's probably how it's delivered as well, isn't it?
• 36:38
SPEAKER_01: You don't know unless you're fair, we can't really say because we were talking about we knew we were left out the team on a Friday, we used to scrown for fun and things like that.
• 36:45
SPEAKER_01: So that's not the one percent, is it?
• 36:46
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's skip being in Bracoda on a Friday night.
• 36:49
SPEAKER_01: That's not the one percent.
• 36:52
SPEAKER_01: I still want to know who filled you in.
• 36:53
  SPEAKER_01: I'm raging about that.
• 36:54
  SPEAKER_01: I know, I know.
• 36:55
SPEAKER_01: I'm so mad to be honest with you, but so going back when they got relegated from League 2, Carl, they went down with a blaze of glory and they were well thought of.
• 37:03
SPEAKER_01: But someone's jumping jacks, jumping jacks toilet.
• 37:06
SPEAKER_01: Aye, one held it on, the other give me us uh a piss.
• 37:09
  SPEAKER_01: Definitely know that we'd we'll Carlisle's small.
• 37:12
SPEAKER_01: We may get an email and I mean actually, you know what, you were working yourself.
• 37:15
SPEAKER_01: There's a prize there's a prize if you let us know who it was, a reward.
• 37:21
SPEAKER_01: Right, so Ben White was put on the fence, eh?
• 37:25
SPEAKER_01: Aye, I think unless you were in that room and how the conversation went, they could have been having a goat on and he's he's fought back, or it could be by it the way everybody.
• 37:33
SPEAKER_01: They would have embarrassed them in front of the whole where it could have gone, listen, we know you're not putting it on the door.
• 37:37
SPEAKER_01: Knock on the door, yeah.
• 37:38
SPEAKER_01: Then they like say, no, not watching it.
• 37:40
SPEAKER_01: Can you get on them?
• 37:41
SPEAKER_01: Or they've just waited like a Roy Keane thing with so it's like you say, until you know exactly what's happening.
• 37:47
SPEAKER_01: Ever been called out in front of everyone?
• 37:48
SPEAKER_01: A few times, I but in the I know not at home because Dom's raging with you.
• 37:53
SPEAKER_01: But when I've been round the dishes aren't done, I'm a silorish, right?
• 37:56
  SPEAKER_01: He talks to me.
• 37:58
  SPEAKER_01: Set his names.
• 37:59
  SPEAKER_01: Right, I need a word.
• 38:01
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, not again.
• 38:02
  SPEAKER_01: What have I done?
• 38:03
SPEAKER_01: Uh have I been called out?
• 38:04
SPEAKER_01: We got beaten the youth cup when we shouldn't have with Sundland.
• 38:07
SPEAKER_01: And Peter Reed just came in and went for and he went round everyone.
• 38:11
SPEAKER_01: Are you too big for this?
• 38:12
SPEAKER_01: Are you too big for this?
• 38:13
  SPEAKER_01: Got to me.
• 38:14
SPEAKER_01: I was about eight, so I was ready, and my voice cracked.
• 38:18
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, everyone just went.
• 38:20
SPEAKER_00: But I I had a couple of times going on a sub.
• 38:23
  SPEAKER_00: I just couldn't fight.
• 38:24
  SPEAKER_00: You're not a good sub.
• 38:25
  SPEAKER_00: I'm not a good sub.
• 38:26
SPEAKER_00: Oh, see, you're trying to get up to the speed of the game that and you're thinking, I can't breathe here.
• 38:29
SPEAKER_01: And like you're fucked in that oil and it boys are all up to speed your channel.
• 38:32
SPEAKER_01: I just want to know why you want down the middle of the pitch, get caught, and it's like, listen to this.
• 38:37
SPEAKER_01: Some thousand pound appearance for Barnsley, even if I got on a sub, we've went one nil up looting in the 89th minute.
• 38:44
SPEAKER_01: Me and Alex Neal are like that.
• 38:46
SPEAKER_01: Good young thought, so one of you get the one of us, get the uh track your top off.
• 38:50
  SPEAKER_01: We're both like that.
• 38:50
SPEAKER_01: How are we gonna find he went?
• 38:52
SPEAKER_01: Flip a coin, flip the coin.
• 38:54
  SPEAKER_01: Alex won.
• 38:56
  SPEAKER_01: Wow.
• 38:57
SPEAKER_01: I'm thinking Alex wasn't on that much.
• 38:59
SPEAKER_01: I should have just gone, five.
• 39:01
  SPEAKER_01: Give you some five.
• 39:02
SPEAKER_01: The worst one was bloody Carlisle.
• 39:04
SPEAKER_01: You had to be on before the 75th minute.
• 39:06
SPEAKER_01: I was coming back from injury, 73rd minute, I'm ready.
• 39:10
SPEAKER_01: Or like wait till the ball goes out to play.
• 39:12
  SPEAKER_00: Didn't go out.
• 39:13
SPEAKER_01: I'm like, kick it out.
• 39:14
SPEAKER_01: All the lads are in the executive box and I'm looking up, my guys.
• 39:18
  SPEAKER_01: I was cut.
• 39:20
  SPEAKER_01: So I ain't gonna borrow it.
• 39:21
SPEAKER_01: Greg, I thought Greg was up to some at once, so I went in and I went, listen, put me on.
• 39:27
SPEAKER_01: If there's a problem with the money getting paid, just put us on a square you up.
• 39:30
  SPEAKER_01: Aye.
• 39:31
  SPEAKER_01: Like, I'll give you 100.
• 39:32
  SPEAKER_01: Aye.
• 39:33
SPEAKER_01: Maybe getting pressure from upstairs, isn't it?
• 39:35
SPEAKER_01: And don't make any subs after.
• 39:36
  SPEAKER_01: Like you're done before.
• 39:37
SPEAKER_01: This is from Rid Helen.
• 39:38
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, go on.
• 39:39
  SPEAKER_01: Yep.
• 39:40
  SPEAKER_01: City Sunder League.
• 39:41
SPEAKER_01: So Carlisle City Sunder League.
• 39:44
SPEAKER_01: Don't play in the league anymore, but still an active member in and around Dalston FC.
• 39:48
SPEAKER_01: On the group chat lately, we're taking note of teams pulling out the league, and oh and as of this week, it's down to seven teams in the Premier League.
• 39:56
SPEAKER_01: When I started in around 2004, there were four leagues with ten leagues in each.
• 40:00
SPEAKER_01: What do you think could be done to boost it, or do you think it's a thing of the past?
• 40:04
SPEAKER_01: So in Newcastle, there's about ten leagues full of ten teams.
• 40:09
  SPEAKER_01: That's dwindling a little bit now.
• 40:11
SPEAKER_01: What time do they kick off?
• 40:12
SPEAKER_01: Half ten in the morning.
• 40:13
SPEAKER_01: That could possibly change, I think.
• 40:16
SPEAKER_00: Because nowadays, youngsters they're out longer than they used to be.
• 40:21
SPEAKER_00: Nightclubs used to close at two o'clock.
• 40:23
SPEAKER_00: They go out and place out now till five, six.
• 40:25
SPEAKER_00: They'll go out at eleven, don't they?
• 40:27
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 40:27
SPEAKER_01: And like some of them, I think that's got a big thing to do to where they just think I still love what's a nice hound.
• 40:33
SPEAKER_01: Half ten in the morning, proper blokes.
• 40:35
SPEAKER_01: Back in the always thing back then, a social club, the smell of drink was dead smelled.
• 40:42
SPEAKER_01: And they had a and they had a big telly back then, which I thought was a big telly.
• 40:46
SPEAKER_01: It was 32 in a spill out of the big box ones at the back.
• 40:49
SPEAKER_01: Racing on, tabs, smoking in the booze.
• 40:52
SPEAKER_01: Smoking in the booze, I had Newcastle exhibition, I class.
• 40:56
SPEAKER_01: So the ankle was like the ligament rub.
• 41:01
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 41:01
  SPEAKER_01: I played for a while when I retired on a Sunday.
• 41:04
SPEAKER_01: People paid for people on a Sunday in Newcastle.
• 41:06
  SPEAKER_01: It's a big thing because there's a Wembley thing now.
• 41:08
SPEAKER_01: Oh, they played at Anfield.
• 41:09
SPEAKER_01: So you know Spenny Moore, who were in the the conference north, Spenny Moore Town.
• 41:14
SPEAKER_01: When they were in the Northern League, they offered me money to sign when I retired to play for them on a Saturday, and you got an extra 50 quid if you played for the Lions team on a Sunday.
• 41:23
SPEAKER_01: That's what three years running.
• 41:25
SPEAKER_01: They went to Anfield and won this cup.
• 41:26
SPEAKER_00: Well, we played Horden from Sumter last week, and they do the same.
• 41:31
SPEAKER_00: And I think they get paid Saturday and Sunday.
• 41:34
SPEAKER_00: And they've gone to the semi-final the national cup last Sunday and won 2-0.
• 41:38
SPEAKER_00: So they're playing a team from Liverpool in the final.
• 41:41
SPEAKER_00: But if that's their Sunda team, the same as the Saturday team, they're a good Saturday.
• 41:44
  SPEAKER_01: Longtown.
• 41:45
SPEAKER_01: Hendle will be happy with this.
• 41:46
  SPEAKER_01: Longtown are doing well.
• 41:47
SPEAKER_01: They're winning the league round here.
• 41:49
SPEAKER_00: Must be this the one below the Premier.
• 41:51
  SPEAKER_00: So who's the Prem?
• 41:52
SPEAKER_00: The Prems are like Pirelli, Dent Norm, Scotty.
• 41:55
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 41:56
SPEAKER_00: They all fight you out.
• 41:56
SPEAKER_00: Pirelli, I mean, a few of our lads are uh play Sunders.
• 42:00
SPEAKER_00: Not that we sort of we can't stop them, but I mean a lot of them do do Saturday Sunders.
• 42:05
SPEAKER_00: And uh so the standard is decent at the top of the league.
• 42:08
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 42:08
SPEAKER_00: Um between three or four teams, but like you say, it's dwindling.
• 42:11
SPEAKER_00: I don't know if it comes down to what time it kicks off and stuff like that, but it might have something to do with it.
• 42:15
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we we I had I've been our assistant manager, I've been at people's doors and like knocking, and the managers are like don't even knock.
• 42:22
SPEAKER_01: He's been in people's bedrooms like that, get up.
• 42:24
SPEAKER_01: Try and just get up, and then he's hired.
• 42:27
SPEAKER_01: He's hi we had we had the Northern so Newcastle's got a Northern League.
• 42:31
SPEAKER_01: This lad played for Whitley Bay, who's top scorer in the Northern League.
• 42:34
SPEAKER_01: You're paying him 200 quid on the Sunday to play for us, and he'd we'd be like 3-0 up in the you know, it's tight, you'd get three, and you just like get in, like you're away and you you're winning and well the kid who was at Whitley Bay this year, you know his dad, remember he signed for Middlesbrough?
• 42:48
  SPEAKER_00: Andy Campbell.
• 42:50
SPEAKER_00: Him, yeah, the the kid, yeah.
• 42:51
SPEAKER_00: I mean, he was playing Saturdays and Sundays and now he's playing sight for Middleborough.
• 42:54
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean play for us.
• 42:55
SPEAKER_00: No, do you know Andy Campbell, his dad?
• 42:57
SPEAKER_01: So that Andy Campbell, is it Andy Campbell No Andy Campbell's the centre forward, isn't he?
• 43:02
SPEAKER_01: Who was ginger head like Campbell, it'll come back to his Campbell anyway.
• 43:06
SPEAKER_01: His son now plays for Middlesbrough, yeah.
• 43:09
SPEAKER_01: But he was a great player, but he he'd always get to the point where he'd go on trial and he wouldn't want to go, and he'd he'd bottle it, and every scout was pulling the hair out, but he just wanted to play non-league and just enjoy his money, enjoy his weekends.
• 43:22
SPEAKER_01: Instead, they're gonna the pressure and all that.
• 43:25
SPEAKER_01: So we signed him on at the start of the season.
• 43:27
SPEAKER_01: We knew we'd had this big game against our locals every year, and he'd only play one game, and they'd bring about 200 on the sideline and hammer, and then honestly, it was about 17 minutes in he'd scored three and he was dancing.
• 43:40
SPEAKER_01: Oh, he was a riot, aye.
• 43:42
  SPEAKER_01: But aye.
• 43:43
SPEAKER_01: But uh it's a good fish, you know, the Sunday league.
• 43:45
  SPEAKER_01: It's a shame, innit?
• 43:46
SPEAKER_01: You want it uh is it competitive up Scotland?
• 43:49
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it will be, yeah.
• 43:49
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, there'll be a lot of can well caught like juniors and stuff, but some Sundays though.
• 43:55
  SPEAKER_01: Aye, some day.
• 43:56
SPEAKER_01: So this is pub teams up.
• 43:57
SPEAKER_01: Oh no, sorry, aye, juniors more Saturday.
• 44:00
SPEAKER_01: See it and then Sunday football, yeah.
• 44:02
  SPEAKER_01: I don't know, to be honest.
• 44:03
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, pub leagues around, yeah, it's good, isn't it?
• 44:06
SPEAKER_01: The spread they get afterwards.
• 44:07
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 44:08
SPEAKER_01: Uh the current could yeah, they're a good spread now.
• 44:11
SPEAKER_01: B I've do B I've liked in the summer, so we may get myself there.
• 44:15
SPEAKER_00: I think Frenell go back to the club.
• 44:16
SPEAKER_00: So they thought you were a club this weekend.
• 44:19
SPEAKER_00: Go back to the clubhouse Tonyum.
• 44:20
SPEAKER_00: I think they they get well looked after.
• 44:21
  SPEAKER_00: So it's not I don't know.
• 44:23
  SPEAKER_00: I don't know the I don't know what they're what's going on.
• 44:25
SPEAKER_00: You're gonna play it for a bit.
• 44:26
SPEAKER_00: You say every yeah, you might go back into it, but not the last couple of years.
• 44:30
  SPEAKER_00: I can't move.
• 44:31
  SPEAKER_01: Right, onto summit serious.
• 44:33
SPEAKER_01: I like Dylan Lab this one.
• 44:36
  SPEAKER_01: From Daz Gaffney.
• 44:37
  SPEAKER_01: Great pot again, lads.
• 44:38
  SPEAKER_01: Great crack.
• 44:39
SPEAKER_01: Love the YouTube as well.
• 44:41
SPEAKER_01: I was at Ellen Road that night, Lummy, of the playoffs.
• 44:44
SPEAKER_01: Dougie Freeman goal that changed the tie.
• 44:46
SPEAKER_01: It's from Carl El Daz, but he's a he's a Leeds fan, so Dougie Freeman wore 2-0 up the cross.
• 44:51
SPEAKER_01: He scored the 97th minute in first leg.
• 44:53
SPEAKER_01: So it kind of flips the tie, doesn't it?
• 44:55
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 44:55
SPEAKER_01: Just a question for your new feature, really, which he means under the crack.
• 44:59
SPEAKER_01: To me, throughout Academy football, and even at the highest level, the biggest and best skill a player can have is positive decision making.
• 45:07
SPEAKER_01: This to me, as a coach, would be what separates the better players.
• 45:10
SPEAKER_01: Do you believe speed of thought is born with or can be instilled through the years of coaching?
• 45:15
SPEAKER_01: Just wondered your guys' uh your guys' thoughts on this.
• 45:19
SPEAKER_01: Even players that you played with who had this at an early age.
• 45:23
  SPEAKER_01: That's a good question, isn't it?
• 45:25
SPEAKER_01: Um I think you've got some sort of level of now talent and awareness and everything else, but it's like everything, like you can work on it, do you know what I mean?
• 45:37
SPEAKER_01: You can enhance it or um you can get better at everything really.
• 45:41
SPEAKER_01: So yeah, it's I do think you've got some sort of understanding and some base level, and then as you kind of mature or get coached, you your game knowledge becomes better, and uh decision making now through maybe experience of like say ex-players that have played the game can help young lads about certain things about maybe not passing the ball too early, like committed defender and then slip them in, all them little things that decision making that could I think decision making like that can be coached.
• 46:11
  SPEAKER_01: I think vision con.
• 46:13
SPEAKER_01: Well that I think some vision you're born with that kind of defence split natural.
• 46:18
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you're talking about Con Clark on Saturday.
• 46:21
SPEAKER_01: I spoke about earlier off a basketball when I was younger, for some reason the coaches were massive into that because you have to throw the ball usually into space rather than to the man, yeah.
• 46:30
SPEAKER_01: And then that when you tell it in the football pitch, it's like if I'm centre mid and the right wing has going there, instead of the right wing, I'm between the centre half and left back.
• 46:38
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 46:39
SPEAKER_01: That's game knowledge as well, isn't it?
• 46:40
SPEAKER_01: It's like you because a lot of people just pass the ball, like they get the ball, they pass it.
• 46:46
SPEAKER_01: But then you get the ones that are kind of like thinkers on the pitch where they think, like, what kind of foot match I hit?
• 46:51
SPEAKER_01: Do you know what I mean?
• 46:52
SPEAKER_01: If they've got space, like a match at his body foot, the weight of the pass, all that.
• 46:56
SPEAKER_00: So that kind of separates biggest thing I know is at the Northern League level that I'm in now is is awareness and what's around people when they get the ball.
• 47:05
SPEAKER_00: Lack of it or lack of it, yeah.
• 47:06
  SPEAKER_00: Lack of it.
• 47:07
SPEAKER_00: Um sometimes things are rushed when they don't need to be, or they get caught on the ball.
• 47:10
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 47:11
SPEAKER_00: When I went in as a as a YTS, Alan Irvine was obviously my coach, yeah.
• 47:16
SPEAKER_00: And he was so big, I know it's called scanner now, but he just used to be looking over his shoulder.
• 47:20
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 47:20
SPEAKER_00: And he used to stop it constantly when lads didn't do it, and you used to think it was too much, but it wasn't.
• 47:25
SPEAKER_00: Nah, because knowing what's around you can help you so much on a pitch, but so I think awareness is a is a massive that's scanning now.
• 47:31
SPEAKER_01: We only learnt it about 14, 15, Kenny Wharton, yeah, at the castle, and then Pop Robson, you had to do it every day for 20 minutes.
• 47:38
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and now tell me the best start in the Premier League, Wharton, yeah, Adam Wharton.
• 47:43
SPEAKER_01: They've done a feature on him, seeing how much of it.
• 47:47
  SPEAKER_01: So yeah, it's a great question.
• 47:48
  SPEAKER_01: I think um it's hard.
• 47:51
SPEAKER_01: But speed of thought, it can't.
• 47:53
  SPEAKER_01: Can it be coached?
• 47:55
  SPEAKER_01: Probably can.
• 47:56
SPEAKER_01: But there's a lot of natural ability in it as well.
• 47:58
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 47:59
SPEAKER_00: Speed of uh like you said, speed of thought, it's just great question, yes.
• 48:02
SPEAKER_01: Uh might have us guys until get Zara out in the field tonight.
