- 0:40Speaker 3: Just because the fellows are away doesn't mean that we
- 0:42Speaker 3: aren't sponsored by Reburger and don't have fifty bucks worth
- 0:44Speaker 3: of Reburger to give away every single text on three
- 0:47Speaker 3: four eighty three automatically in the drawer. And Pugs. We've
- 0:49Speaker 3: got a huge show here, don't we.
- 0:51Speaker 4: We've got a massive show today, Keezy, at these all sorts,
- 0:54Speaker 4: it's going to be a little bit different from the usual,
- 0:55Speaker 4: I think, yeah, I'd say so. But I've been diving
- 0:58Speaker 4: deep in the archives today and just a reminder of
- 1:00Speaker 4: all of our podcast listeners, I am doing best of
- 1:02Speaker 4: the outro too. Oh the disclaimer, I should say the
- 1:05Speaker 4: new name of the podcast outro. That's right. So it's
- 1:07Speaker 4: a bit of a moment in time. I've gone back
- 1:09Speaker 4: to this time of year over the last couple of
- 1:11Speaker 4: years to see what we were up to, right, okay,
- 1:13Speaker 4: sort of refresher, But do you want to know what
- 1:15Speaker 4: our best bits. I'm going to be spinning absolutely what's
- 1:21Speaker 4: happening on the big show with old tag. Good work, Pugs.
- 1:27Speaker 4: Thank you, you're welcome for that. No, look first, right
- 1:30Speaker 4: out the gate. This time last year, Jase had some
- 1:34Speaker 4: massive breaking news, so we're going to be diving into
- 1:37Speaker 4: that and the breaking news. Let me just say this, Keezy,
- 1:39Speaker 4: it pertains to you in a big way.
- 1:41Speaker 3: Right, breaking news pertaining to me. Okay, if it's anything
- 1:44Speaker 3: to do with me having a kid, I'm gonna be fuming.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Also coming up, because the Goat is starting on Monday
- 1:49Speaker 3: our search for the greatest song of all time, Pugs
- 1:51Speaker 3: and I are going to be doing daily Goat head
- 1:53Speaker 3: to head battles. Today's battle is the Goat workout song.
- 1:57Speaker 3: That's right, Keezy.
- 1:58Speaker 4: So if you think one right, then when he said
- 2:01Speaker 4: best workout song and you thought of one, we want
- 2:03Speaker 4: you to text tip through on three for eight three.
- 2:05Speaker 4: Every text ob' see in the draw for those really
- 2:06Speaker 4: big gear vouchers. But also we'll put ours in and
- 2:10Speaker 4: then we want to get your opinion on which one.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Is the goat.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Yeah, so get those ticks coming through three four eight three.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Also a little later on as well, your chance to
- 2:17Speaker 3: get in the drawer to join us in Wellington for
- 2:19Speaker 3: the Ivana Flights accommodation. It is all happening here, but
- 2:22Speaker 3: it's dos and tunes a Pugs ah? Is this the
- 2:26Speaker 3: food Fighters?
- 2:26Speaker 2: Man?
- 2:27Speaker 4: Yeah? Man, what a way to suck.
- 2:29Speaker 1: The Hiarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hodarky.
- 2:33Speaker 3: It is the Dandy Warholes on the Hdarchy Big Show
- 2:35Speaker 3: Tuesday afternoon with Kezy and Pugs. It's time for some
- 2:38Speaker 3: best of moments Pugs.
- 2:39Speaker 4: That's it. And this time last year we got breaking
- 2:42Speaker 4: news from Hoody j. It was pretty massive. So it
- 2:45Speaker 4: pertains to one of your favorite television shows that he
- 2:48Speaker 4: actually got the call up for. Oh wow, this is
- 2:53Speaker 4: breaking news?
- 2:55Speaker 5: Did it do?
- 2:58Speaker 2: The was?
- 3:01Speaker 6: Something's happened for old Hoody Jay? And I feel it's
- 3:04Speaker 6: only right that I let you fellas know because it's
- 3:07Speaker 6: going to affect you directly. Wow, okay, I don't know
- 3:12Speaker 6: if you've heard of the show Celebrity Treasure Island.
- 3:15Speaker 3: Yeah, I love that show. It's mine of my wife's
- 3:17Speaker 3: guilty pleasures.
- 3:18Speaker 6: Yes, yes, yeah, you bagging on about it forever, keasy,
- 3:23Speaker 6: over and over and over again. Well, exciting news. I've
- 3:28Speaker 6: been asked if I want to be a part of it,
- 3:31Speaker 6: and I agonized, as you would, because it's a big
- 3:36Speaker 6: time commitment. And in the end I committed and said yes,
- 3:41Speaker 6: I'm prepared to do it.
- 3:42Speaker 2: How good? Yeah, yeah, right, congret. I don't know how
- 3:45Speaker 2: I mean, it.
- 3:46Speaker 6: All depends on how long you stay, you know, in
- 3:48Speaker 6: terms of how long I'll be away.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Feelings. Money for charity? Man brov you man Brovo you charity?
- 3:55Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. All the money is for charity,
- 3:58Speaker 2: is it. Yeah? So that's cool. One hundred grand you'll
- 4:01Speaker 2: win for your nominated charity.
- 4:02Speaker 6: Yeah, but I'll get paid too, right, I mean we
- 4:05Speaker 6: can go menutaie later on.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
- 4:09Speaker 4: A couple of things, man.
- 4:11Speaker 3: First of all, don't they like try and keep it
- 4:14Speaker 3: a secret until the show's announced.
- 4:15Speaker 2: They try, like I don't know if if.
- 4:18Speaker 3: They like want one of the potential contestants going on
- 4:21Speaker 3: live radio and announcing that they're going to be on it.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Have you want the best, you got to pay the
- 4:26Speaker 2: price exactly.
- 4:27Speaker 6: And all publicity is good, I know, and just seeing
- 4:30Speaker 6: how much it's going to affect the ratings to know
- 4:32Speaker 6: that old Hoidy j Is going to be on CTI.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Burning the hands with the bush. Write that down, man.
- 4:39Speaker 4: But there's just that's great.
- 4:41Speaker 6: Man.
- 4:41Speaker 4: I'm stoked.
- 4:43Speaker 7: You don't seem very man on the Celebrity Treasure Island.
- 4:47Speaker 2: That's like, that's big time show.
- 4:51Speaker 6: The only concern I have is that I'll probably have
- 4:53Speaker 6: to wear shorts at some stage.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Get in borrow keysyspeedos. Oh yeah, that's a good idea.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Your pink ones and are you be swimming in those.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Up the front?
- 5:04Speaker 3: You wouldn't feel about.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Board shore, But.
- 5:08Speaker 6: I just felt it was important to let you fellus
- 5:10Speaker 6: because it does directly.
- 5:12Speaker 3: Totally, Jason, I appreciate it. I'd kind of have a
- 5:15Speaker 3: small issue with this though, because you're my agent, right, correct,
- 5:18Speaker 3: I am yea, And I told you as soon as
- 5:21Speaker 3: it was announced. I think it was a couple of
- 5:22Speaker 3: weeks ago that it had been funded in green lit.
- 5:25Speaker 3: But i'd be interested in doing the show because I'm
- 5:27Speaker 3: a big fan of it.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:28Speaker 6: Well, I remember you coming up to me before you
- 5:30Speaker 6: went away on your trip and telling me that, and
- 5:31Speaker 6: I thought, what a great idea. So what well, so
- 5:35Speaker 6: I put myself forward and they went absolutely We were
- 5:38Speaker 6: too scared to ask.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, I guess you'd say I'm top to you.
- 5:44Speaker 7: Yeah, it's celebrity wise, I mean, and of the leftovers here.
- 5:48Speaker 6: To be honest, I probably hate it. I'll probably hate it,
- 5:51Speaker 6: but you know, it's something different. And I've taken on
- 5:54Speaker 6: this new philosophy in my life, which is to just say.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Yes, you're right.
- 5:59Speaker 7: I think what you see it was your you know,
- 6:01Speaker 7: your philosophy was I simply.
- 6:04Speaker 6: Must I simply or I simply must right. So it's
- 6:09Speaker 6: pretty excited. I don't know where we're going in or
- 6:10Speaker 6: the secret location. To be honest with you, I quietly
- 6:14Speaker 6: fancy myself in this.
- 6:16Speaker 3: Did you at least put a good word in for me?
- 6:18Speaker 4: Like I asked. I came to you asking for you
- 6:20Speaker 4: to get me on there, not to put yourself for it.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Right.
- 6:22Speaker 6: No, you didn't really come up keysy, but got pretty
- 6:26Speaker 6: involved pretty quickly once they knew I was interested as
- 6:29Speaker 6: I see it, as I say, and genuinely they're a
- 6:32Speaker 6: bit intimidated about asking me because they used to bag
- 6:34Speaker 6: the show.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Yes, but now they're like, oh yeah.
- 6:38Speaker 4: Boy, sweep, you got the guy from Broken Wood on.
- 6:42Speaker 6: And they've even sort of given me a signing on
- 6:44Speaker 6: fee they didn't usually do for all the other contestants,
- 6:47Speaker 6: which doesn't go to charity.
- 6:49Speaker 7: Yeah, so what do you think you'll be best at
- 6:51Speaker 7: the physical challenges.
- 6:55Speaker 2: The mental challenges? I'm good with a puzzle.
- 6:59Speaker 6: I'm just gonna have figure a way of getting a
- 7:01Speaker 6: vape out.
- 7:02Speaker 4: Well.
- 7:02Speaker 7: I think the only thing you're going to have to
- 7:03Speaker 7: hope is that your wife doesn't turn out, because if
- 7:05Speaker 7: if she does, she's going to kick the shit out
- 7:07Speaker 7: of you.
- 7:07Speaker 3: And scrabble can hide your vape up your massive honker.
- 7:13Speaker 3: You can hide one for everyone. Congrats, man, that's really exciting.
- 7:17Speaker 3: Fas man, Oh my goodness. A scrabble reference. At this
- 7:21Speaker 3: time last year, Jason was playing his wife at scrabble
- 7:24Speaker 3: all the time and losing constantly.
- 7:25Speaker 4: I would also say that the honker jokes would tell
- 7:27Speaker 4: you what time it is, but they've never really gone away, No,
- 7:29Speaker 4: they have it.
- 7:29Speaker 3: They've been around for four years now. It is true
- 7:32Speaker 3: though he could hide enough vape up there for everyone
- 7:33Speaker 3: on CTI coming back, by the way, that show.
- 7:36Speaker 4: Really that's coming back. And now's your chance, brother, now's
- 7:40Speaker 4: my chance.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Everyone jump on TV and Z's Instagram and just punish
- 7:43Speaker 3: them saying they want Kezy, Moggi and Hoidy j on.
- 7:45Speaker 3: There is this Metallica, Yeah, Baby King nothing God this
- 7:50Speaker 3: Jim rules. You're on the hill Ackty Big Show, The.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Hurd Achy Big Show with Jace, Mike and Kezy. Tune
- 7:58Speaker 1: in week days at four on Radio hod Ach.
- 8:00Speaker 3: Verb on the Huducky Big Show. Bit a Sweet Symphony
- 8:03Speaker 3: twenty eight minutes past four this Tuesday afternoon with Kezy
- 8:06Speaker 3: and Pugs. The Daily Goat, red Ley CAZy on Pug
- 8:17Speaker 3: Good Stuff, Pugs Brand New, sting there, Dave Bud for
- 8:20Speaker 3: the first time. Pretty intense to be my feedback.
- 8:22Speaker 4: Hey, put it this way, man, when the cats away,
- 8:25Speaker 4: the Pug comes out to play.
- 8:27Speaker 3: Right, Okay, we've been holding you back all this time.
- 8:29Speaker 3: Don't forget The Goat countdown starts on Monday. Have your
- 8:32Speaker 3: say by texting the word Goat to three four eight three.
- 8:34Speaker 3: We'll send you a lenk. You can vote there. Stop
- 8:36Speaker 3: texting goat and then the name of the song you
- 8:38Speaker 3: want to nominate. Just text the word gate goat gate Now,
- 8:45Speaker 3: I don't even care you well, text the word gate,
- 8:47Speaker 3: text whatever you want three four eight three vote there.
- 8:50Speaker 3: It closes Sunday nights and the countdown starts nine am
- 8:53Speaker 3: on Monday morning, this coming August seventeenth. Now today's Goats
- 8:57Speaker 3: countdown head to head Pugs is greatest ever workout songs.
- 9:02Speaker 3: It's right, Casy.
- 9:02Speaker 4: I wanted to just do some sort of informal ones
- 9:05Speaker 4: that these aren't necessarily your greatest of all time above everything.
- 9:09Speaker 4: It's just for a specific situation, And in this case,
- 9:11Speaker 4: it's working out. What kind of work because I feel
- 9:14Speaker 4: like this comes into it. What kind of workout? Do
- 9:16Speaker 4: you feel like you do the most?
- 9:17Speaker 3: When I do work out, which I haven't in a
- 9:19Speaker 3: long time, it was mostly running. And when I run,
- 9:21Speaker 3: I listen to podcasts because I listen to people talk
- 9:24Speaker 3: and it takes my mind off of the painime experience.
- 9:26Speaker 7: See.
- 9:26Speaker 4: My issue with that is that I would hear myself
- 9:28Speaker 4: breathing every time they took a pause and talking. Oh right,
- 9:31Speaker 4: I can't hear my asthma. Yeah, Okay, you know what
- 9:33Speaker 4: I mean? That would really put me off.
- 9:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I can see what you're saying there. But if
- 9:37Speaker 3: I listen to music, I do this thing where I
- 9:39Speaker 3: start matching the tempo of my run to the music
- 9:42Speaker 3: and it really puts me off for some reason. Yeah,
- 9:44Speaker 3: we've had heaps of great suggestions coming through on three four,
- 9:46Speaker 3: eight three, every single one of them in the draw
- 9:48Speaker 3: for a fifty dol Reburger voucher. We've got a couple
- 9:51Speaker 3: of suggestions there, Pugs, Yes we do so.
- 9:53Speaker 4: Both Nick and Lewis havev text and on three for
- 9:56Speaker 4: three in the draw for the vouchers. With this, I
- 10:02Speaker 4: have a tiger. It's a classic, isn't it. It is a classic.
- 10:05Speaker 4: It's a little old to get me hyped up. Yeah,
- 10:08Speaker 4: it doesn't mean that it's not good.
- 10:09Speaker 3: The thing the reason why this is so synonymous working out,
- 10:12Speaker 3: of course, is Rocky One.
- 10:13Speaker 4: He's literally working out to this song. So I think,
- 10:16Speaker 4: to be.
- 10:16Speaker 3: Honest, if you had to pick a great step of
- 10:17Speaker 3: workout song, this would probably be top five.
- 10:20Speaker 4: It would be up there, especially if you're doing boxing training.
- 10:23Speaker 4: We had another one as well, Lincoln Park bleed it
- 10:26Speaker 4: out going Away. Now that one there from Edward Scott.
- 10:34Speaker 4: But what's interesting is that he said, I haven't done
- 10:35Speaker 4: a workout to it yet.
- 10:36Speaker 3: No, I mean I like the message there Chester saying
- 10:39Speaker 3: dig it deeper, like you know, dig in. You've got
- 10:41Speaker 3: to really dig in when you're in the trenches of
- 10:43Speaker 3: working out there. However, it's too angry for me. I'm
- 10:45Speaker 3: not an angry worker out of it. I need that
- 10:48Speaker 3: you need to be angry.
- 10:49Speaker 4: Yeah, I think because I'm trying to get into more running,
- 10:51Speaker 4: but I do mostly weight stuff and so you've got
- 10:54Speaker 4: to be like a little bit psycho. Yeah, if that
- 10:57Speaker 4: helps get the blood pumping. We had a couple more.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Zoe from Springfield said, pump it up a fireball. Now,
- 11:02Speaker 4: pump it up could be the Joe Budden, Elvis Costello
- 11:05Speaker 4: or the Black Eyed pe something. They're sure what is
- 11:08Speaker 4: quite a somebody said mac Gordon underrated, massively underrated, did
- 11:12Speaker 4: the Doom soundtrack?
- 11:13Speaker 3: The only thing they fear is you that specific song. However,
- 11:16Speaker 3: it's a sign for me and Pugs to put our
- 11:18Speaker 3: selections for through Pugs. You go first, man, what's your
- 11:21Speaker 3: goat workouts? So is my goat workout song? I feel
- 11:24Speaker 3: like it applies to any kind of workout.
- 11:30Speaker 4: A little bit of rage. This is Balls on Parade
- 11:33Speaker 4: by Rage against the Machine, my goat workout song.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Kind of a long intro, so.
- 11:43Speaker 3: It's good though, any Rage against the Machine song is
- 11:45Speaker 3: a good workout song.
- 11:46Speaker 4: I agree. I just feel like that one really encapulates
- 11:49Speaker 4: and capulates and lates everything that that I go for
- 11:52Speaker 4: on a workout. So that's my goat workout song, Rage
- 11:55Speaker 4: against the Machine, Balls on Parade.
- 11:57Speaker 3: My goat song is this, Ah yeah, the transplants, diamonds
- 12:04Speaker 3: and guns. You're outside, You've tied up your shoelaces, you
- 12:08Speaker 3: put your headphones on and your start jugg head.
- 12:11Speaker 8: Who Yeah's it on like a C four N or
- 12:16Speaker 8: something like that.
- 12:17Speaker 3: It's on a Gardia fructus that's from fifteen years ago.
- 12:21Speaker 4: But you have your say in New Zealand, what do
- 12:23Speaker 4: you think? Three four eight three text?
- 12:24Speaker 3: Which of those two songs do you think is a
- 12:26Speaker 3: better selection for goat workout songs? How else can they vote?
- 12:30Speaker 4: Pugs, I'll get up a poll on the Instagram at
- 12:32Speaker 4: Hodarky Big Show. Get there and vote, and in the meantime,
- 12:36Speaker 4: heavy listen to both. See which one gets you more
- 12:37Speaker 4: hoped up.
- 12:39Speaker 1: The Hiarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Hdarky Can't get me Buddy of Beer The Big Show
- 12:46Speaker 2: bea Vana support brew crew content have it a beerh.
- 12:52Speaker 3: The Big Show heading down to Wellington for Beer Vanna,
- 12:55Speaker 3: one of New Zealand's biggest and best beer festivals. It's
- 12:57Speaker 3: happening Friday the twenty first and Saturday the twenty second
- 12:59Speaker 3: of August at Henry Stadium. You can get your tickets
- 13:02Speaker 3: Bavana dot co, dot z. However, on the Thursday night
- 13:06Speaker 3: we're doing a live show, the entire radio show down
- 13:10Speaker 3: there at Bethel Woods, which is a great bar right
- 13:12Speaker 3: in the center of Wellington Town. And whoever wins this
- 13:15Speaker 3: prize can not only bring a mate, but also gets
- 13:17Speaker 3: free flights, free accommodation and will be part of the crew,
- 13:19Speaker 3: part of the team for that Thursday night show as well.
- 13:22Speaker 4: It's a hell of a prize. The pugs aren't now,
- 13:24Speaker 4: you've been saying. Obviously, it's more of a chance for
- 13:26Speaker 4: them to hang out and drink some beers. You even
- 13:28Speaker 4: consulting me on that, because I'd like to think that
- 13:30Speaker 4: I'm the support crew a lot of the time for
- 13:32Speaker 4: these feelers, right, so I reckon I can put them
- 13:35Speaker 4: to work. You actually want to get them jobs? Yeah? Okay,
- 13:38Speaker 4: all right, well let's go to the lines then.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Get ness. How you going, mate, pugs?
- 13:46Speaker 4: How are you today? Nesty or g men?
- 13:48Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 13:48Speaker 4: All good?
- 13:49Speaker 9: Just finishing up the work?
- 13:50Speaker 4: Oh nice man? What do you do for a crust?
- 13:53Speaker 9: I'm a gardener, a small garden.
- 13:55Speaker 4: Oh nice garden? Is that therapeutic work in us?
- 14:00Speaker 9: It's as boring as it as stressful when you're self employed.
- 14:04Speaker 2: Perfect.
- 14:05Speaker 4: One thing and as you're going to have to be
- 14:06Speaker 4: wary of, mate, is your posture if you've been over
- 14:09Speaker 4: in the garden all day?
- 14:10Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 14:10Speaker 4: You know, I have to say when I was over
- 14:12Speaker 4: in Vietnam. A lot of folks that have been out
- 14:13Speaker 4: in the garden a lot of the time posture munted. Yeah,
- 14:17Speaker 4: So get you back and down here you sweet sir.
- 14:20Speaker 3: And this has got a hunchback? And is who would
- 14:23Speaker 3: you bring with you if you won this prize?
- 14:24Speaker 2: Mate?
- 14:25Speaker 9: I got a mate down in close ups, will probably
- 14:28Speaker 9: bring him up.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Nice.
- 14:30Speaker 3: All right, go a little beerfial with your mate, all right,
- 14:32Speaker 3: and us you're in the drawer, mate, You hold the
- 14:34Speaker 3: line all right, jeer, thanks you'autiful. Let's also go to Joseph.
- 14:38Speaker 3: Good Joseph, how.
- 14:39Speaker 2: Are you going?
- 14:40Speaker 9: Bloody good? How you doing today?
- 14:41Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 14:42Speaker 4: Not too bad mate. What have you been up to today?
- 14:44Speaker 9: Man?
- 14:44Speaker 6: Oh?
- 14:45Speaker 9: Just you know, working away like the backbone, you know,
- 14:48Speaker 9: keeping trying to keep up the Pugs's high standards.
- 14:51Speaker 4: Yeah, honestly, thanks the attitude I'm talking about right there. Yeah,
- 14:54Speaker 4: I see.
- 14:54Speaker 3: So he's going for the gas up Pugs myth.
- 14:57Speaker 4: Maybe that'll work. He's up the boss to be honest.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Pug has said he is going to put whoever wins
- 15:01Speaker 3: this prize to work in terms of helping us. You've
- 15:03Speaker 3: got a good work ethically, of Joseph, I think so.
- 15:08Speaker 4: I like that the longest pause, but I like the honesty.
- 15:11Speaker 3: The thing is no one I Hodaki is a good
- 15:12Speaker 3: work ethic, So, Joseph, I think you'll fit in man,
- 15:14Speaker 3: because you thought about being truthful and then you lied anyway.
- 15:18Speaker 3: But if you did win this prize, Joseph, hear'd you
- 15:20Speaker 3: bring I would have to.
- 15:22Speaker 9: Bring my wife only because we did a mystery tasting
- 15:26Speaker 9: beer night the other night.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Yeah, and she won. Oh wow wow, And bring her on.
- 15:31Speaker 9: You know it'll be dog box for two reasons. One,
- 15:35Speaker 9: you know, she's an enthusiast.
- 15:38Speaker 3: Yeah, of course, what if she can name beers better
- 15:40Speaker 3: than you can. It's almost like she should be down
- 15:42Speaker 3: there and you've got a question mark above you.
- 15:44Speaker 9: Well that sounds about right. I'm a very questionable individual.
- 15:47Speaker 3: So okay, just going to write questionable individual next to
- 15:50Speaker 3: Joseph's name. Are you still on the drawer though, mate?
- 15:52Speaker 3: So you hold the line all right? Awesome mate, Another
- 15:56Speaker 3: chance to get yourself in the draw maybe later on
- 15:58Speaker 3: the show. So I'm just going back to the tunes.
- 16:01Speaker 3: It is the cult Edie Show. Baby, You're on the
- 16:04Speaker 3: Hurducky Big Show, Keys and pugsh.
- 16:07Speaker 1: The Hierarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hoda.
- 16:11Speaker 4: Talking here.
- 16:11Speaker 3: It's on the Huducky Big Show. It is almost five
- 16:13Speaker 3: o'clock with Keysy and pugs An this Tuesday evening. So
- 16:16Speaker 3: it's quickly do a little TV chess what so on
- 16:21Speaker 3: the Turney with Mike Minogue. Yeah, uh, Nogi's not here.
- 16:29Speaker 3: The Full Shell be back Monday. By the way, if
- 16:31Speaker 3: you're wondering last night, Pegs, I continued watching Outrageous Fortune
- 16:35Speaker 3: season one with my wife. We've never watched it before.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Every single episode is available on TV and Z plus,
- 16:41Speaker 3: and I cannot understand how such an excellent show was
- 16:45Speaker 3: completely missed by both me and my wife.
- 16:48Speaker 4: It is seriously brilliant.
- 16:51Speaker 3: It's making us like I'm cracking up, laughing, predicting what's
- 16:54Speaker 3: gonna happen. All the characters are intertwined, even though it's
- 16:57Speaker 3: like Game of Thrones, but the Bogan version and funny.
- 17:01Speaker 4: I would say, like, you don't mean that it's underrated,
- 17:03Speaker 4: because it is considered one of the great Yeah, it's
- 17:08Speaker 4: you just can't believe that I specifically missed it.
- 17:10Speaker 3: That's right, Well I didn't miss it. Everyone's banging on
- 17:12Speaker 3: about it, and I guess at the time I was like, ah, nah.
- 17:15Speaker 4: I know that thing where so many people tell you
- 17:17Speaker 4: to watch something and it kind of puts you off it. Well,
- 17:19Speaker 4: do you know, do you ever get that? It's like
- 17:21Speaker 4: almost a rebellious thing. It's like, yeah, right, okay, nah abes,
- 17:25Speaker 4: I don't.
- 17:25Speaker 2: I don't.
- 17:26Speaker 4: I wasn't put off it by that.
- 17:27Speaker 3: I was put off by the fact that I was
- 17:28Speaker 3: in UNI at the time and just watching reruns of
- 17:32Speaker 3: the same old shit I've been watching for years.
- 17:34Speaker 4: What no A lot.
- 17:37Speaker 3: I used to love top Gear a lot of a
- 17:39Speaker 3: lot of your Scrubs, a lot of How I Met
- 17:41Speaker 3: Your Mother, and just sitcoms and ship from back in
- 17:43Speaker 3: the day my.
- 17:44Speaker 4: Whole flat would watch together.
- 17:45Speaker 3: Yeah, Walking Dead, But honestly, every single episode on TVs
- 17:49Speaker 3: in Plus, if you haven't seen it, please go and
- 17:51Speaker 3: watch it. If you have seen it, go watch it
- 17:53Speaker 3: again because it is still so good. Four and a
- 17:55Speaker 3: half busies out of five.
- 17:56Speaker 4: I have also seen it, and I would agree that
- 17:58Speaker 4: it's four and a half busies out of five. That
- 17:59Speaker 4: is md TV royalty. Now I've been getting back into
- 18:03Speaker 4: a show that I've watched before, but I'm putting my
- 18:06Speaker 4: partner onto it right, and it's not one that she
- 18:09Speaker 4: would ever ever have gone for, but she's loving it.
- 18:13Speaker 7: What is it?
- 18:13Speaker 4: It's The Boys. I've never watched it on Prime. It's
- 18:18Speaker 4: got a couple of great key actors in an Anthony
- 18:20Speaker 4: Star and of course our mate Carl.
- 18:21Speaker 3: Lubin Anthony Star, who is in Outrageous Fortune.
- 18:25Speaker 4: That's right, So now you know in Outrageous Fortune and
- 18:27Speaker 4: how he plays two people, yes, that is reflected in
- 18:30Speaker 4: The Boys because he is a total psycho. Yeah, like
- 18:35Speaker 4: he's nuts, and so watching him flip between personalities and
- 18:38Speaker 4: attitudes from somebody who presents themselves as the all American
- 18:42Speaker 4: good boy. Yeah on the Boys, and then who he
- 18:44Speaker 4: really is is unbelievable, a total stark contrast.
- 18:48Speaker 3: I can't see it like he This show is as
- 18:50Speaker 3: twenty years old now, the one I'm talking about, and
- 18:52Speaker 3: he is so good at playing both characters.
- 18:54Speaker 4: At first I was like, Aha, it's creepy.
- 18:55Speaker 3: He's really good. Yeah, it is creepy.
- 18:58Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a testament. And watching them by come together
- 19:00Speaker 4: in one character and The Boys is great. Basically The
- 19:03Speaker 4: Boys is subverting the whole superhero trope, putting it on
- 19:07Speaker 4: its head and how what the writers actually think the
- 19:10Speaker 4: superhero life would go if it were real. So this corruption,
- 19:14Speaker 4: this capitalism, all of that stuff. Very well done. I
- 19:16Speaker 4: would give it a good three and a half busies
- 19:19Speaker 4: out of a possible five. At the moment, I'm on
- 19:21Speaker 4: season two. Yeah.
- 19:22Speaker 3: Nice, that's on Watch Prime, is it?
- 19:23Speaker 4: That's it? Bloody Rapper coming up after five.
- 19:25Speaker 3: More best of the Big Show moments plus your chance
- 19:29Speaker 3: to win a fifty dollar Reburg about.
- 19:31Speaker 1: You The Hdiching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy
- 19:37Speaker 1: Tune in week days at four on Radio Hodiching that's right.
- 19:40Speaker 3: It is the Hurdichy Big Show for Tuesday of the
- 19:42Speaker 3: eleventh of August twenty twenty six. You're with Keezy and
- 19:45Speaker 3: pugsn Hoodie Jam Mogia, both on holiday. They will be
- 19:48Speaker 3: back on the Monday. In the meantime though, we've got
- 19:50Speaker 3: plenty of best of the Big Show moments, and of
- 19:52Speaker 3: course the Big Show and whatever form it is in
- 19:54Speaker 3: is brought to you by Reburg Year.
- 19:56Speaker 4: Seven Good Times and good food dining or take away
- 20:00Speaker 4: read Big Bed Today. Big Mogi says that one's too long. Yeah,
- 20:12Speaker 4: I don't think it is, man, I don't think it's
- 20:14Speaker 4: long enough.
- 20:14Speaker 3: Moggi's too long in the nose. Suck on there, so
- 20:18Speaker 3: you can expect this boom. Hey, plenty of stuff coming
- 20:22Speaker 3: up this hour, including Pugs. You put a group a
- 20:25Speaker 3: message in the group chat, yeah, saying that someone called
- 20:28Speaker 3: you a sea word over the weekend or something.
- 20:30Speaker 4: Is that right? Nah? I just won't want to. I
- 20:32Speaker 4: want to pose you the question, am I a sea bomb?
- 20:35Speaker 4: And then I'll explain right how it got to me
- 20:37Speaker 4: being called a sea bomb?
- 20:38Speaker 3: Are you a sea bomb? Like in everyday life or
- 20:40Speaker 3: in this particular situation, in.
- 20:42Speaker 4: This particular situation. Okay, I mean, like, hey, if you
- 20:45Speaker 4: want to get into me being a sea bomb in
- 20:47Speaker 4: my whole life, we can do that too.
- 20:49Speaker 3: We don't have enough time, man, it's just so much
- 20:51Speaker 3: to get through. Actually, what we'll do, though, is we'll
- 20:53Speaker 3: get the audience to get involved. On three four eight
- 20:55Speaker 3: three every text in the draw for a Reburg about you,
- 20:56Speaker 3: and then that way they'll definitely say, yes, you are
- 20:58Speaker 3: a mess with see maybe hear me out on the
- 21:00Speaker 3: n I.
- 21:01Speaker 4: Just started now. Is Pugs a seaweed?
- 21:04Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 21:05Speaker 4: Yeah, No, that'd be every text.
- 21:06Speaker 3: In the door for Rebiger, which is bloody great coming
- 21:09Speaker 3: up next to a best of the Big Show moment Pugs.
- 21:11Speaker 4: That's right, And this is a gig that Hoody j
- 21:13Speaker 4: got you remember when he was your agent? Yeah, this
- 21:15Speaker 4: is arguably one of the best ones we've ever done.
- 21:18Speaker 3: Oh wow, I can't remember what that is, all right,
- 21:20Speaker 3: I'm excited.
- 21:21Speaker 4: It involves a certain very famous children's animated movie franchise. Wow,
- 21:28Speaker 4: I still don't know. Great, that's amazing, makes it better.
- 21:31Speaker 4: My brain is shocking.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Was this whole the Hdarchy Big Show with Jason, Mike
- 21:36Speaker 1: and Kezy tune in.
- 21:38Speaker 3: On radio Icky Thump, Yeah, Man White Stripes, Hiducky Big
- 21:42Speaker 3: Show Tuesday Evening with Keyzy and Pugs on Full Show
- 21:45Speaker 3: back on Monday.
- 21:46Speaker 6: Now.
- 21:47Speaker 4: Another Big Show best of moment, This one from twenty
- 21:50Speaker 4: twenty four, back when Hoody J was your agent. Yeah,
- 21:53Speaker 4: good time you mess those days. It's gonna be so
- 21:54Speaker 4: many gigs, Pugs. Yeah, Well a lot of auditions. Auditions apparently,
- 21:58Speaker 4: say you got you the actual get he got me
- 22:00Speaker 4: zero gigs? You got your zero gigs? Well, this was
- 22:03Speaker 4: arguably your biggest opportunity, right, Okay, he brought you an
- 22:08Speaker 4: audition for the Toy Story franchise. Oh my god, No,
- 22:13Speaker 4: why do you say that so negatively?
- 22:15Speaker 2: Man?
- 22:15Speaker 6: Come on, man, great opportunity for you, Keezy, I've managed
- 22:18Speaker 6: to get you an audition for a part on what
- 22:21Speaker 6: has been one of the most successful successful movie franchises ever.
- 22:28Speaker 2: Feels you're joking joking for eels.
- 22:31Speaker 4: What's the what is it like a new version of
- 22:33Speaker 4: it or something?
- 22:34Speaker 6: It's yeah, the latest in storment of Toy Story.
- 22:38Speaker 4: Toy Story.
- 22:39Speaker 2: They just announced that at Disney.
- 22:40Speaker 6: They did Yeah, so number five I believe it is Mogi.
- 22:46Speaker 6: So they're casting around for new voices. Obviously going to
- 22:48Speaker 6: have your standy characters there. Core Cast, yes, core Cast,
- 22:51Speaker 6: your woodies, your buzzes. Oh man, that's so cool. Yea
- 22:55Speaker 6: head Barbie Ken remember remember Barbie and Ken.
- 23:01Speaker 2: As well? Yeah? Cool? Right?
- 23:03Speaker 4: So what am I playing? A toy?
- 23:05Speaker 2: I'm assuming well, obviously easy, it's toy story.
- 23:10Speaker 6: So what we're going to do is sort of get
- 23:12Speaker 6: an idea of what voice you're going to use, because
- 23:14Speaker 6: I think that's obviously well, it's.
- 23:16Speaker 2: Got to be a he's kind of a goofy.
- 23:19Speaker 3: What's the toys name? Buddy, Buddy? Yeah, study boy guys. Yeah, Buddy, Yeah, yeah, buddy.
- 23:30Speaker 6: Kind of like yeah, that's pretty good.
- 23:33Speaker 2: Extra nasally quite.
- 23:34Speaker 4: Daisily Extra dais a toy ty story fights and they
- 23:41Speaker 4: you think that's what they.
- 23:42Speaker 6: Want, Well, that's good. They want people to be innovative
- 23:45Speaker 6: and and just bring what they do.
- 23:46Speaker 2: You don't want a normal voice, So that's great to me.
- 23:49Speaker 2: But that to me, it sounds like a character, right
- 23:51Speaker 2: it does.
- 23:51Speaker 4: Yeah, true, it's a toy after all, and you.
- 23:54Speaker 6: Know, obviously it's an animation. So I'll show you some
- 23:56Speaker 6: picks later on that they've sent me through. But did
- 23:59Speaker 6: you get that cryptos?
- 24:00Speaker 4: Yep, I've got it here. Great, Oh wow, it's with
- 24:03Speaker 4: Woody and buzz.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Yeah. Do you want to be buzz.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Maybe I'll be Woody and beyond so cool, man, I
- 24:13Speaker 3: love this friend. Yeah, all right, hang on. What I'll
- 24:15Speaker 3: do is I'll get the toy story. Okay, put you.
- 24:20Speaker 2: In the mood, doesn't it?
- 24:21Speaker 4: Absolutely Okay?
- 24:22Speaker 6: Here we go interior and these parents' house day. The
- 24:28Speaker 6: toys have found their new friend Butty, and are trying
- 24:31Speaker 6: to pull them out of a sticky situation.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Come on, buddy, you can do this.
- 24:38Speaker 4: I'm trying, but I just can't get out.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Just relaxt buddy, jeez, you're just making this harder. I
- 24:44Speaker 2: can't relax.
- 24:45Speaker 4: It's so dark in here. How on earth am I
- 24:48Speaker 4: supposed to relax?
- 24:49Speaker 2: All right, everyone, grab a hole on my count one two?
- 24:59Speaker 3: A ah, thanks guys. It's so great having friends like you.
- 25:06Speaker 7: No worries, buddy, We're all toys at the end of
- 25:09Speaker 7: the day, right, insane that I liked that.
- 25:15Speaker 2: It was fun, That was pretty.
- 25:17Speaker 6: You did a good job there, actually keasy. Yeah, okay,
- 25:20Speaker 6: you had a bit of umph in your character as well. Yeah, yeah,
- 25:24Speaker 6: it's good.
- 25:24Speaker 2: That was good.
- 25:26Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 25:26Speaker 2: So that might be the thing, man, It might be
- 25:28Speaker 2: a character acting things more up your alley.
- 25:31Speaker 3: Right, as opposed to just really I'd like to have
- 25:33Speaker 3: a crack at both have another the sure, if you
- 25:36Speaker 3: want to have another go.
- 25:37Speaker 7: To yeah, I think, and we'll just want to clip
- 25:39Speaker 7: it along a bit bit more energy, clip along through it.
- 25:41Speaker 7: I do the big print of that's right with you, Jase?
- 25:43Speaker 2: Sure? Okay, here we go, You ready, yeah?
- 25:45Speaker 7: Man?
- 25:45Speaker 2: Here we go? All right? Interior Andy his parents' bedroom Day.
- 25:52Speaker 7: The toys have found their new friend Buddy, and is
- 25:54Speaker 7: trying to pull him out of a sticky situation.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Come on, buddy, you can.
- 25:58Speaker 4: Do this shry, but I can't get out.
- 26:01Speaker 2: That's right, buddy, geez, you're just making this hard. Relax.
- 26:05Speaker 4: It's so dark in here here on earth?
- 26:06Speaker 2: Am I supposed to relax? All right? Everyone, grab a
- 26:09Speaker 2: hold on my count one.
- 26:11Speaker 4: Two day ah ah, thanks guys. It's so great having
- 26:19Speaker 4: friends like you.
- 26:20Speaker 2: No worries, buddy, boy, We're all toys at the end
- 26:24Speaker 2: of the.
- 26:24Speaker 3: Day, right, I feel like I am actually buddy. You know,
- 26:30Speaker 3: batty butty, Buddy, batty batty? What kind of a toy
- 26:34Speaker 3: is Buddy?
- 26:35Speaker 2: I don't know? Season the script here he lives in
- 26:38Speaker 2: Andy's mum's bottom drawer.
- 26:42Speaker 4: I don't recall that character ever being in the latest movie,
- 26:45Speaker 4: so I guess they dropped it. I think that one
- 26:48Speaker 4: from the franchise was usually at the back of the
- 26:49Speaker 4: DVD store, hanging at the back of the DVD st hanging.
- 26:53Speaker 3: A reminder every single show we have ever done. It's available.
- 26:56Speaker 3: Where ever get your podcasts from. Just search Hoducky Big Show.
- 26:59Speaker 2: They're all there.
- 27:00Speaker 4: Temple of the Dog.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe the Hierarchy Big Show week days from four
- 27:05Speaker 1: on Radio Hoda Kings Leon.
- 27:07Speaker 3: On The Hidarky Big Show twenty five past five this
- 27:09Speaker 3: Tuesday evening with Keezy and Pugs. At the beginning of
- 27:11Speaker 3: this hour, Pugs asked the question is he a sea word?
- 27:15Speaker 3: We put it out to the audience on three four
- 27:17Speaker 3: eight three Pugs will be stoked to know, man, most
- 27:19Speaker 3: of the sex get most of Yeah, most of the
- 27:22Speaker 3: ones coming in saying that Pugs.
- 27:24Speaker 4: Is a GC basically not just a C. You're a GC.
- 27:29Speaker 3: You're a fully six cy a funny C. Yeah, so
- 27:34Speaker 3: people are really getting around you. I mean there's obviously
- 27:35Speaker 3: the odd one there there will say yeah, massive C.
- 27:39Speaker 4: I think my issue in this particular scenario because it
- 27:42Speaker 4: didn't just come out of nowhere. I think that came
- 27:44Speaker 4: from me thinking that I'm a funny sea bomb.
- 27:47Speaker 3: Okay, so this so four context for the audience. Something
- 27:51Speaker 3: happened to you over the weekend, and you're unsure whether
- 27:53Speaker 3: you are a sea bomb afterwards, that's right.
- 27:55Speaker 4: So essentially, I got invited to a friend's twenty ninth
- 27:57Speaker 4: birthday party and it was a lovely time. It was
- 28:00Speaker 4: that they're flat, so it was like a bit of
- 28:02Speaker 4: a house party scenario. People sort of sprinkled around the place.
- 28:06Speaker 4: You catch up with different grips as you go through.
- 28:07Speaker 4: Blah blah blah. Yeah, no, how party works, you know, yeah,
- 28:10Speaker 4: bud party man, do a couple of party. Yeah, guilty, guilty.
- 28:16Speaker 4: And I was meeting new people and ninety nine point
- 28:20Speaker 4: nine percent of them got on. Was like a house
- 28:22Speaker 4: on fire, and at the time one hundred percent. Now
- 28:26Speaker 4: I was in the kitchen area of seid party, and
- 28:29Speaker 4: what I learned was that somebody had cooked up a
- 28:32Speaker 4: big of popcorn and I was like, give me it
- 28:34Speaker 4: on that I got to get in on this popcorn
- 28:36Speaker 4: right now. And so I was helping myself that I
- 28:38Speaker 4: was like, I can't believe you brought this from home.
- 28:39Speaker 4: To the person who I admit earlier in the night
- 28:41Speaker 4: and was lovely, and I was in the popcorning, in
- 28:44Speaker 4: the popcorn. And then later on I said, so, what
- 28:47Speaker 4: I do you bring popcorn to sort of every shindy
- 28:49Speaker 4: that you go to. They go, no, I took it
- 28:51Speaker 4: out of the I took it out of the pantry, right,
- 28:54Speaker 4: So they had taken it out of the host pantry
- 28:56Speaker 4: at the flat party. Right now, I've been enjoying the popcorn.
- 28:59Speaker 4: So I was complicit in the crime. And at the
- 29:01Speaker 4: end of the day it was a one dollar thing
- 29:03Speaker 4: of popcorn.
- 29:04Speaker 8: Yeah, but I thought, maybe I'll be a funny sea
- 29:07Speaker 8: bomb if I just give them a little bit of
- 29:09Speaker 8: you know, a little bit of jeff about taking popcorn
- 29:11Speaker 8: from the pantry, right, And I was sort of went
- 29:14Speaker 8: along the lines of, oh man, ah, yeah, you should
- 29:17Speaker 8: see how these flat how these flatmates go when someone
- 29:19Speaker 8: takes something from the pantry.
- 29:20Speaker 4: There's like a history of it that it starts a
- 29:22Speaker 4: real kerfuffle in the group. Right, I'm kind of like
- 29:25Speaker 4: doing a bit.
- 29:26Speaker 9: Right.
- 29:28Speaker 3: It was, you know what, in hindsight, you're playing silly
- 29:31Speaker 3: buggers past.
- 29:32Speaker 4: I was playing silly buggers, but I was having a
- 29:34Speaker 4: real fun time with it. But also I was continuing
- 29:36Speaker 4: to eat the popcorn, so I thought it was pretty
- 29:39Speaker 4: clear that you were joking. You wouldn't say this and
- 29:41Speaker 4: eat the popcorn, That's right, I would not be participating
- 29:44Speaker 4: in the crime, right. So I went along with this,
- 29:47Speaker 4: but for a little while longer.
- 29:48Speaker 2: And then.
- 29:50Speaker 4: This person's friend approach, who wasn't a part of the conversation.
- 29:53Speaker 3: So this person being the popcorn stealer, this.
- 29:55Speaker 4: Person being the popcorn stealer and offerer. Okay, now that
- 29:58Speaker 4: person's thing comes over. I say, oh, do you want
- 30:01Speaker 4: some popcorn?
- 30:01Speaker 7: Da?
- 30:01Speaker 2: Da da da?
- 30:02Speaker 4: And I was like, oh yeah, this person bluddy took
- 30:04Speaker 4: it from the bloody pantrick. Can you believe that? And
- 30:06Speaker 4: this person who took the popcorn turns to me and goes,
- 30:09Speaker 4: you're being a real sea bomb about this. Oh wow,
- 30:12Speaker 4: I use the actual word. Yeah, okay, fair enough. Now
- 30:15Speaker 4: in my head, I was like, immediately I recoiled because
- 30:18Speaker 4: I felt terrible that I would ever make somebody feel
- 30:21Speaker 4: bad about stealing a one dollar bag of popcorn from
- 30:24Speaker 4: the flat. But also I was being a wind up
- 30:26Speaker 4: and I know that.
- 30:27Speaker 3: Right, Okay, it sounds to about this person massively overreacted.
- 30:30Speaker 3: Although you might not have been as clever about, you know,
- 30:34Speaker 3: being blatant as you.
- 30:36Speaker 4: My betsun is clever when I mum, yeah, responsibly you
- 30:39Speaker 4: were esteem at the house party.
- 30:40Speaker 3: That's right, Yeah, I Pugs clean conscience, man, clean conscience, misunderstanding.
- 30:46Speaker 4: I did talk to the friend about it, and because
- 30:48Speaker 4: then later on in the night I bumped into the
- 30:50Speaker 4: popcorn stealer again, and you're the kind of person who
- 30:52Speaker 4: would have to be like, hey, I'm so sorry and
- 30:54Speaker 4: make sure it was all it's one hundred percent what happened.
- 30:56Speaker 7: I went.
- 30:56Speaker 4: I was like, hey, listen, I'm really sorry. I didn't
- 30:58Speaker 4: I didn't mean to get off on the wrong foot
- 30:59Speaker 4: with that was joking. Obviously it's a turn bag of
- 31:02Speaker 4: popcorn iss Yeah, a big a deal ignored me. Wow,
- 31:05Speaker 4: turned away.
- 31:06Speaker 2: Wow.
- 31:06Speaker 3: I believe that person is a sea bomb.
- 31:09Speaker 1: The Hurdiarchy Big Show week days from four on Radio hod.
- 31:13Speaker 3: Chemical Brothers on The Hidarky Big Show Tuesday evening with
- 31:16Speaker 3: Kezy and pugsn T. I'me front of the best of
- 31:17Speaker 3: the Big Show moment.
- 31:18Speaker 4: That's right, Kesey, I'm diving into the archives from August past, right,
- 31:22Speaker 4: So this time the last couple of years, right, And
- 31:25Speaker 4: this next best bit is from twenty twenty four and
- 31:28Speaker 4: it's about old Moggi and Moggi Minogi junior his daughter.
- 31:32Speaker 4: His daughter is five round about five and let's just
- 31:36Speaker 4: say massive overachiever.
- 31:37Speaker 7: So my daughter has started at primary school now, which
- 31:41Speaker 7: is the first school. There's primary and then there's secondary Keezy,
- 31:46Speaker 7: and then there's tertiary.
- 31:48Speaker 2: The intermediate between them.
- 31:49Speaker 7: Well, I go to a primary school, went all the
- 31:52Speaker 7: way through and then yeah, so that's just you can
- 31:56Speaker 7: also have intermediate intermediate, but you know that's oftentimes you'll
- 32:01Speaker 7: find that's for deer.
- 32:01Speaker 2: Brains and to meet it.
- 32:07Speaker 7: Anyway, as part of being at the school there all
- 32:11Speaker 7: the kids have to do write their own poem and
- 32:13Speaker 7: recite it to the class, which I thought was pretty
- 32:17Speaker 7: full on actually for a five year old to have
- 32:19Speaker 7: to do that. And anyway, so we sort of I
- 32:24Speaker 7: said to her, you know, you want to hand with it, Nana.
- 32:25Speaker 7: I'm all good right, Oh god, Jezun scream at me. Anyway,
- 32:31Speaker 7: I went into class and it must have been the
- 32:33Speaker 7: day after. I try not to say abreast of what's
- 32:35Speaker 7: happening at the school. I find it all it can
- 32:38Speaker 7: be a bit dull. But anyway, the teacher's pulled me
- 32:41Speaker 7: aside and she said, your daughter's done a poem.
- 32:44Speaker 2: I was like, it ended already.
- 32:45Speaker 7: Yeah, everybody in the classroom had them in absolute tears.
- 32:50Speaker 7: Such was the beauty of the pros there. Yeah, so
- 32:54Speaker 7: it seems like she's a bit of a chip off
- 32:56Speaker 7: the old block there.
- 32:57Speaker 2: Wow.
- 32:59Speaker 7: Really yeah, yeah, yeah, all the kids were crying their
- 33:03Speaker 7: eyes out, the teachers and that all crying.
- 33:06Speaker 4: From one poem.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Yeah, and how old is your daughters? Still five? Yeah? Yeah,
- 33:11Speaker 2: it's funny.
- 33:12Speaker 6: Actually, I think I mentioned this a little while actually,
- 33:16Speaker 6: actually Mogi my daughter in English, and well, to be fair,
- 33:21Speaker 6: she was in the third form at the time, so
- 33:23Speaker 6: she's quite a few years ahead of you, like twelve. Yeah,
- 33:27Speaker 6: and to meet it at that stage at school and
- 33:32Speaker 6: she wrote a piece and I got a phone call
- 33:37Speaker 6: from the from the teacher on my private line. I
- 33:39Speaker 6: don't know how she got my private number, and oh,
- 33:43Speaker 6: that's right, we're having an affair. And she said, Jace,
- 33:49Speaker 6: your daughter's just written the most beautiful short story I've
- 33:55Speaker 6: ever read in my life.
- 33:56Speaker 2: And she was she taught engl you know, so she
- 33:59Speaker 2: she was a big reader. Bit of a book worm.
- 34:01Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, the English teacher.
- 34:04Speaker 6: And she said, do you mind if I sent her
- 34:06Speaker 6: off to a couple of publishers because it's that good?
- 34:10Speaker 2: And I said, oh, oh, you know, fill your boots.
- 34:13Speaker 2: Then aready commissioned?
- 34:17Speaker 6: She was commissioned to write a book of short stories,
- 34:21Speaker 6: which currently I think over in the States is number.
- 34:23Speaker 2: Four and the best Sellerers, is it right?
- 34:25Speaker 7: Yeah, it's funny, isn't it, because I find short stories
- 34:28Speaker 7: just turgid.
- 34:29Speaker 2: Yeah, but HER's hand.
- 34:32Speaker 3: One of my favorite things we do on The Big
- 34:33Speaker 3: Show is if someone says a word incorrectly, repeating it.
- 34:37Speaker 4: Later, it's fantastic. It's so great.
- 34:41Speaker 3: Every other broadcast, every other radio show, or every other
- 34:44Speaker 3: TV show or whatever, they always just try and correct
- 34:46Speaker 3: it and move on.
- 34:47Speaker 4: But we really get bogged.
- 34:48Speaker 2: Down in it.
- 34:48Speaker 4: I'll tell you what. Listening to that show in particular
- 34:50Speaker 4: to find that best but it was an absolute shocker
- 34:53Speaker 4: for you. I don't know if you were like Mosty
- 34:55Speaker 4: or something, yet you in particular in the first one, boom,
- 34:59Speaker 4: like maybe three break later.
- 35:00Speaker 3: Boom another one in this one, Oh my goodness, what
- 35:02Speaker 3: date was that?
- 35:03Speaker 4: I can't remember the exact day, but it was around
- 35:06Speaker 4: either the eleventh or twelfth of August.
- 35:08Speaker 3: I'm just checking here the tenth, okay, so it was
- 35:10Speaker 3: the twelfth. On the eleventh, the Dolphins played the Warriors,
- 35:14Speaker 3: and it says I was at the pub for that.
- 35:17Speaker 3: So that'll be fine.
- 35:17Speaker 4: That sounds a bad right, Isn't that interesting?
- 35:19Speaker 3: I can go back on my calendar. Yep, I was hungover.
- 35:21Speaker 4: That was like incredibly fast, one hundred percent.
- 35:24Speaker 3: There it is right there. August twenty twenty four.
- 35:26Speaker 4: You're amazing, Pluto dance Stamina.
- 35:28Speaker 3: You're on the Hidaky Bio Show, Kuzy and.
- 35:30Speaker 1: Pugs, The Hdiking Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy.
- 35:34Speaker 1: Tune in week days at four on Radio Hodiarchy.
- 35:36Speaker 3: Breed from Nirvana on The Hidiarchy Big Show Tuesday Evening
- 35:39Speaker 3: with Keezy and pugsun full show back on Dick Monday.
- 35:43Speaker 3: That song from the Vanna by the way Themseluck Belter
- 35:45Speaker 3: Breed and that was one of Mogi's three Goat selections.
- 35:49Speaker 3: The Goat Countdown returns this coming Monday.
- 35:51Speaker 4: Have your say.
- 35:52Speaker 3: Text the word goat to three four eight three and
- 35:54Speaker 3: choose your three Goat nominations. Pugs Beer Varner. It is
- 35:59Speaker 3: a beer Fear still happening down to Wellington and we're
- 36:01Speaker 3: doing our next live show.
- 36:02Speaker 4: It's been a while, it has been too bloody long. Yeah,
- 36:06Speaker 4: and I know that because I've been quite relaxed yees
- 36:09Speaker 4: around the office in the workload that I have, because
- 36:10Speaker 4: a lot of the time, you know, you get into
- 36:12Speaker 4: doing a show, it becomes a routine day to day,
- 36:14Speaker 4: You've got things to check off and then suddenly, boom,
- 36:16Speaker 4: you've been a live show. It's a whole nother layer.
- 36:19Speaker 4: I'm trying to.
- 36:19Speaker 3: Think of what our last one was. Was it a
- 36:21Speaker 3: Daneedan or christ Church or something. It's been so long
- 36:24Speaker 3: I can't even remember. Which is crazy.
- 36:26Speaker 4: It might have been christ It went off it South,
- 36:31Speaker 4: I'm aware of that.
- 36:32Speaker 3: Yeah, it was in the South. Cheese roll in the mouth.
- 36:35Speaker 3: So we're going to Wellington, which is great. We've only
- 36:36Speaker 3: been to Wellington once before and at a pub, so
- 36:40Speaker 3: this is the first time, the first time in ages
- 36:42Speaker 3: that we've actually been to a Wellington pub. It is
- 36:44Speaker 3: happening at Bethel Woods, which is in town. It's all
- 36:48Speaker 3: thanks to to Atata, who are one of the beer
- 36:50Speaker 3: of exhibits that are going down and of course the
- 36:52Speaker 3: first one hundred people through the door at Bethel Woods
- 36:55Speaker 3: Thursday the twentieth of August. You get yourself a free
- 36:58Speaker 3: backbone tea. Is there any thing when it comes to
- 37:00Speaker 3: the checklist for you Pugs, Yeah, hit of a live show,
- 37:03Speaker 3: because I know that famously. The night before you won't sleep,
- 37:06Speaker 3: you'll get up super early for the flight, you'll be
- 37:09Speaker 3: a frazzled miss and then you'll get steamed afterwards.
- 37:12Speaker 4: And that's all part of the process. I have to
- 37:14Speaker 4: punish myself in order to be rewarded, right, But also
- 37:17Speaker 4: because it's in Wellington, that's my hometown, so it's like
- 37:21Speaker 4: another another layer on Yeah.
- 37:23Speaker 8: True.
- 37:24Speaker 3: So obviously for the listeners when it comes to taking
- 37:28Speaker 3: a live radio show on the road, I'm always quite
- 37:31Speaker 3: surprised nowadays by the lack of stuff you actually need.
- 37:35Speaker 3: You need three microphones, maybe four if we're anticipating a guest, yeah,
- 37:39Speaker 3: and then like a little cube thing that broadcasts at all,
- 37:42Speaker 3: and that's pretty much it.
- 37:43Speaker 4: That is pretty much it. I mean, obviously you have
- 37:45Speaker 4: the whole speaker element. So I think we're one of
- 37:47Speaker 4: the one of the prime radio shows when it comes
- 37:50Speaker 4: to doing live shows as frequently as we do, so
- 37:53Speaker 4: we've got a system for that now, and we've also
- 37:56Speaker 4: got thankfully a little bit more resource in terms of
- 37:59Speaker 4: getting professional then to help with the speakers. Everything started
- 38:02Speaker 4: doing it, I would be sitting up every single thing.
- 38:04Speaker 4: I still remember, yeah, whereas now I've like, okay, I'll
- 38:06Speaker 4: bring somebody in for it.
- 38:07Speaker 3: I still remember too, Like the very first time we
- 38:09Speaker 3: did a live show was in Tartanaki about at the
- 38:11Speaker 3: start of our show before your Time, and we set
- 38:14Speaker 3: it all up and we were like, we're are the
- 38:16Speaker 3: live speakers and they were like, oh, you don't usually
- 38:17Speaker 3: have those we do a live show, you just are
- 38:19Speaker 3: sort of in the corner and no one can hear anything. Yes,
- 38:22Speaker 3: So we went down to we sent the local team
- 38:24Speaker 3: down to the higher place. They hired a couple of speakers,
- 38:27Speaker 3: sit it all up, went off awesomely. We were like,
- 38:29Speaker 3: this is why are we not doing this more?
- 38:30Speaker 4: It's a way to do it.
- 38:31Speaker 3: Way to do that is the way to do it.
- 38:33Speaker 3: It's bloody awesome vibe as well. The place will be
- 38:35Speaker 3: packed out with fellow backbones all wearing the free T shirts.
- 38:39Speaker 3: So if you are a listener and you are keen
- 38:40Speaker 3: to come get a monkst Thursday, the twentieth of August
- 38:43Speaker 3: from four pm at Bethel Woods. Get there a little
- 38:45Speaker 3: bit early, I'd suggest if you want to get yourself
- 38:47Speaker 3: a table and get ready to rip and and also
- 38:50Speaker 3: if you'd like to go to be a Vanner the
- 38:51Speaker 3: Wellington Celebration of Delicious beer Head to be at Vaner
- 38:54Speaker 3: dot Co dot in zid we will see you there.
- 39:00Speaker 1: Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy tune in week
- 39:03Speaker 1: days at four on Radio Hodaki.
- 39:05Speaker 3: It is the Hurdcky Big Show Tuesday evening with Kezi
- 39:07Speaker 3: and Pugs filling in while Jason mic are on holiday.
- 39:10Speaker 4: They are back Monday Full.
- 39:12Speaker 3: Show, Back in Action, Can't Wait, Plus the Goat Countdown
- 39:14Speaker 3: kicks off as well. Of course The Big Show No
- 39:16Speaker 3: matter what iteration, is brought to you by Reburger.
- 39:19Speaker 4: Beef checking vegan and vegetarian options, Reburger redefining the norm.
- 39:26Speaker 2: Yummy.
- 39:26Speaker 4: It is yummy.
- 39:27Speaker 3: I had it twice last week, both while hungover. Pugs,
- 39:31Speaker 3: what is the plan for Dinns tonight for you?
- 39:33Speaker 4: I'm actually catching up with a mate from UNI and
- 39:36Speaker 4: we're going to be going somewhere in the city. I'm
- 39:38Speaker 4: looking for cheap Asian food.
- 39:41Speaker 3: That's the plan, honestly, and if a lot of people
- 39:44Speaker 3: from Auckland, especially in my friend group, they never actually
- 39:47Speaker 3: go into the Auckland CBD. So like the christ Church
- 39:50Speaker 3: CBD is great, there's a lot going on. You got
- 39:52Speaker 3: to a riverside market Wellington. You know, it's a bit
- 39:54Speaker 3: quieter than it used to be. But I found myself
- 39:56Speaker 3: going to town a lot when I'm there. I never
- 39:59Speaker 3: go into the city scene of Aalkland because I always
- 40:01Speaker 3: think it's way too packed. You know, it's hard to
- 40:03Speaker 3: get a park, blah blah blah. I've been walking through
- 40:06Speaker 3: there a lot recently. The food options are incredible, Yeah,
- 40:09Speaker 3: there is that.
- 40:10Speaker 4: I I myself and from Mount Eden and so it's
- 40:12Speaker 4: really had to stray from Mount Eden because the Dominut
- 40:15Speaker 4: doing your road, the Dominion Roague Cuisine, yes, but then
- 40:18Speaker 4: everything is like its own individual store. There's a lot
- 40:21Speaker 4: of that in the CBD as well.
- 40:22Speaker 3: I would honestly recommend not finding a place on Google
- 40:24Speaker 3: meet somewhere and go for a.
- 40:25Speaker 4: Walk, Go for a walk and go for vine.
- 40:27Speaker 3: Yeah, because and like if you hit to like High
- 40:29Speaker 3: Street and start there's some great stuff around the parks.
- 40:31Speaker 4: That's what I do Kean, what are you gonna have
- 40:33Speaker 4: for tea?
- 40:33Speaker 9: Men?
- 40:33Speaker 3: I at ten am this morning was slow cooking a
- 40:37Speaker 3: little a little pork shoulder for pulled pork tacos that
- 40:40Speaker 3: we're having to Not going to be pulling your pork
- 40:42Speaker 3: all night, now, that'll be afterwards. Oh you've been doing
- 40:44Speaker 3: it all day? You no, no, no, The pork's there
- 40:46Speaker 3: and then you pull it out, and then you pull
- 40:48Speaker 3: it apart, and then you make the tacos out of it?
- 40:50Speaker 5: Okay?
- 40:51Speaker 4: And do you do that or does your wife help
- 40:52Speaker 4: you pull the pork.
- 40:53Speaker 3: She'll probably do that okay, just because she's better at it,
- 40:57Speaker 3: and then I will be the one putting it into
- 40:59Speaker 3: the tark.
- 41:01Speaker 2: What are you? What do you have for? What?
- 41:04Speaker 3: Having for New Zealand?
- 41:05Speaker 4: Three for three?
- 41:05Speaker 3: Let us know hopefully it's not as gross as that.
- 41:09Speaker 3: Ah the killers.
- 41:10Speaker 4: Now you're talking. Best of the Big Show.
- 41:12Speaker 1: Up next the whole Achy Big Show with Jace, Mike
- 41:15Speaker 1: and Kezy. Tune in week days at four on Radio
- 41:18Speaker 1: hod ich.
- 41:19Speaker 3: A clear on the hd Ikey Big Show Tuesday evening
- 41:21Speaker 3: with Keezy and Pugs.
- 41:22Speaker 4: But not to fret with Hoody j and Moggie Away
- 41:25Speaker 4: the best bits come out to play. I've been diving
- 41:26Speaker 4: in the archives from August past, as I said earlier,
- 41:30Speaker 4: and around this time last year, cause you weren't even
- 41:32Speaker 4: bloody here, you were swarming around Europe.
- 41:35Speaker 3: It sounds like me you simply must And this nixt
- 41:38Speaker 3: bit is all about your food that you got into Jace.
- 41:43Speaker 3: You've never been to Europe, no, and I guess you
- 41:49Speaker 3: won't understand. And that song takes me bet this song
- 41:56Speaker 3: honestly both thrash and yeah everywhere I can imagine you
- 42:00Speaker 3: can't go anywhere without this play.
- 42:02Speaker 2: Yeah, how nice.
- 42:07Speaker 3: But I just thought, as someone who's been to Europe
- 42:10Speaker 3: and mowgi, you'll get this. We just figured we could
- 42:14Speaker 3: sort of, I don't know, introduced you to some of
- 42:16Speaker 3: the crazy stuff they have over in Europe.
- 42:19Speaker 2: Cool. Now, you're not going to get any of this,
- 42:21Speaker 2: but sure, but when you finally get there, it all
- 42:24Speaker 2: makes it. Yeah yeah, old man.
- 42:27Speaker 3: Yeah, So like it's interesting because a lot of stuff
- 42:31Speaker 3: is very different, but a lot is quite similar.
- 42:33Speaker 2: That's true.
- 42:34Speaker 6: So for example, we get a lot, you know, we
- 42:36Speaker 6: get a lot of our ideas from old Europe, don't we.
- 42:40Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, just like us, yeah, but way better.
- 42:44Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 42:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 42:44Speaker 3: And you wouldn't get it until Yeah. So, like you know,
- 42:47Speaker 3: how we have like coffee here.
- 42:51Speaker 2: Yeah, totally man.
- 42:53Speaker 7: Over in Europe they call it espresso. What yeah, you
- 42:57Speaker 7: asked for a coffee over there. I don't know what
- 42:59Speaker 7: you're talking about.
- 43:00Speaker 3: You're joking, like you're speaking different again, espressoespresso.
- 43:07Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, okay.
- 43:10Speaker 7: Another thing that they've got over there, which is different
- 43:16Speaker 7: is gaspacho.
- 43:18Speaker 2: Oh my god, I love a tomato and vegetable soup
- 43:23Speaker 2: sort of thing.
- 43:24Speaker 7: Yeah, but it's chilled because it's so hot over the
- 43:26Speaker 7: you know, the temperatures are sort of medt to late
- 43:29Speaker 7: late thirty sort of thing.
- 43:31Speaker 2: But in New Zealand that's called tomato sauce. What's what
- 43:35Speaker 2: what's it called over there? Gaspacho spatio? You know, like.
- 43:42Speaker 4: You know, like here in New Zealand, howe will have
- 43:44Speaker 4: like a loaf of bread, like a Mullenberg or a
- 43:47Speaker 4: tip top.
- 43:50Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, get this. Over in Europe they call them
- 43:54Speaker 3: beg its forget A beg it, I beg it, yeah,
- 43:59Speaker 3: not a beget. Don't say beget you'll get smacked. It's
- 44:04Speaker 3: a bag it, ye bag it.
- 44:07Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 44:07Speaker 2: Yeah, it's similar, but just different. And that's like a
- 44:10Speaker 2: loaf of bread.
- 44:11Speaker 4: It's like a loaf of mollenberg.
- 44:14Speaker 7: Another thing that they have over there that they don't
- 44:17Speaker 7: have here, well they do, it's kind of different.
- 44:20Speaker 2: It's just yea yea yeah, pie, yea want too many? Yeah,
