- 0:04Hello and welcome back to an episode of Bandit Lorencia.
- 0:06How are you all doing? If you're doing great for
- 0:09today's episode, I want to bring you updates on Natasha's sexual
- 0:12harassment allegations against Goodwill Akabia, the Senate
- 0:16President. Now, for some of you who don't
- 0:18know, let me just give you a recap.
- 0:20We're just sitting down minding our business, and a video
- 0:23surfaced online where Senator Natasha was trying to kind of
- 0:27speak up in the House of Assembly or is the House of
- 0:30Assembly or wherever she was trying to make a point.
- 0:34And then the Senate President calls, like Babio told her to go
- 0:37to her seat before she can make a point.
- 0:40Now, before this incident, maybe a day before or even that
- 0:44morning. I don't know when it happened.
- 0:46They kind of changed sitting arrangements and according to
- 0:49the story they told Natasha where to seat.
- 0:52The clock told Natasha had gave her her new seat, basically
- 0:56telling her she has to move from where she was sitting to a new
- 0:59seat. NASA, she didn't like that and
- 1:01she refused to go to the new seat that was allocated to her.
- 1:04Now before this, people have been jumping from a PCPDP Labour
- 1:08Party back to APC and all that. You know, Nigerian politicians
- 1:11being who they are, they always go to where the power is.
- 1:14So a lot of people kind of they come from PDP to APC, even
- 1:18Labour parties, some of the Labour Party senators, they come
- 1:21to APC. So the sitting arrangements need
- 1:24to be kind of reshuffled. So when that was done, Sena Sono
- 1:28Sasha did not want to go to her her newly allocated seats.
- 1:32And then the Senate President goes with that.
- 1:34You told her if you don't go to your new seats, there's no way
- 1:37you can address the House. And according to their
- 1:41legislation or their rules and regulations, that was how it is
- 1:44done. If you are located a seat, you
- 1:45have to be on your new seat to to kind of make a point or make
- 1:49a statement. So Natasha kind of triggered.
- 1:51There was this thing they said the trigger.
- 1:53If you trigger that you can speak wherever you're standing.
- 1:57But Gosselaar, Fabio was refusing to acknowledge.
- 1:59Then as soon as Sasha, he was like, go to your seat before I
- 2:03can acknowledge what you're saying, Senator Natasha kind of,
- 2:07you know, lost it. Basically she started screaming,
- 2:10saying that she's been marginalised.
- 2:13She accused, she made a whole lot of accusations during that
- 2:17video. It was an outburst and people
- 2:19saw that as an outburst. They said NASA Shah, listen, we
- 2:23understand that you're new to this whole Senate seating
- 2:26arrangement or something, but if you're being allocated a new
- 2:29seat, regardless of your grievances, you have to go to
- 2:32your new seat to make a point. Since on Sasha finding out or
- 2:36realising that things were not going her way, she started
- 2:39throwing she drew sexual harassment and allegations into
- 2:43the whole mix. She said that the reason why she
- 2:46she had that outburst was because gospel apabe, which is
- 2:50the Senate President kind of has been harassing her sexually.
- 2:54She said there was a time one of the two years ago, about two
- 2:58years ago, she said herself and her husband because Senator
- 3:01Natasha's husband and Gosu, like Babu were very good friends.
- 3:05According to Natasha, Gosu, like Babu, invited her and her
- 3:10husband to his house. His wife was there.
- 3:13They were kind of showing them around during that process when
- 3:16the husband, you know, went to take a call, probably a Fabio's
- 3:21wife is in the kitchen preparing something.
- 3:22Nobody knows. But according to Natasha, she
- 3:25was left alone with Akbabio and he kind of made advances.
- 3:30He said, oh, you can come back to, you know, to this house and,
- 3:34you know, do certain things. I mean, listen, that was her
- 3:38allegation. So she said since she kind of
- 3:41refused his advances that Akbabio pulled her out of.
- 3:45There was this diaspora committee that she was sharing
- 3:47at that point. She said, I said, so Akbabio
- 3:50took her out of that, that position and gave it to somebody
- 3:53else. So she said ever since then,
- 3:55maybe trips that they used to go to or she felt that it could
- 4:02have benefited our community that Aquavio doesn't take her to
- 4:06those trips. So she said that was one of the
- 4:09reasons why she she kind of, she had it.
- 4:12She, she, she was screaming at him because she was tired of the
- 4:15whole, I don't even know what to call it sports.
- 4:20Natasha said she was tired. So she started granting
- 4:22interviews. People said, OK, if Aquavio had
- 4:25made advances, if Apabio had said something to you, do you
- 4:28have evidence now says I said she had evidence.
- 4:31She has, you know, lots of evidence that she's going to go
- 4:33to court. So at this point she hadn't
- 4:36filed anything in court, but she was just going to media house
- 4:39and she went to Arise News to accuse Apabio.
- 4:44Before you could say Jack, Apabio's wife sued because
- 4:47according to Senator Natasha, the the incident happened in
- 4:51their home. So Akabia's wife sued, sent on
- 4:54Sasha for defamation because according to her, she was there
- 5:00and nothing like that happened. And if something had happened,
- 5:03she should have come to her anyway.
- 5:05These are two, two cases. So Akabia wasn't suing.
- 5:11The wife was suing. Senator Natasha eventually kind
- 5:14of sued or I didn't even know she sued.
- 5:17So we're just thinking, OK, Natasha, I even made a video
- 5:21about this whole thing. I said, listen, this couldn't
- 5:23have gotten to the level that it it has gotten to.
- 5:26If somebody who is your husband's very good friend made
- 5:29advances at you. And I'm very sure that if he's
- 5:32your husband's friend at, you know, at some point you're going
- 5:35to be friends with the wife. So this could have been settled
- 5:39within the family. You could have told your husband
- 5:41that I don't like the way your your friend is talking to me, or
- 5:45I don't like the way you know, or you could say something to
- 5:48the wife. Maybe okay, maybe not the wife,
- 5:50but tell your husband so that he could match woman.
- 5:53He could talk, talk to his friends to say, listen, this is
- 5:55my wife. This is my woman, you know, and
- 5:58I think if she had done that, she won't be going through what
- 6:03she was going through because she said until she until that
- 6:06outburst at the House of Assembly, she according to
- 6:08Natasha, her husband did not know what was going on.
- 6:11So before you could know what was going on, Nigerians were
- 6:14demanding for proof. Nigerians were demanding for
- 6:16evidence. Even very dark black man said,
- 6:18listen, we've been trying to get a Babu.
- 6:23We've been trying to get a Babu. Just give us one evidence, one
- 6:26evidence and we're going to March on the street.
- 6:29We're going to we're going to hold that Baggio accountable.
- 6:31We'll be trying to get this man, but there's no evidence.
- 6:34If you say you have evidence, Natasha, just give just give us
- 6:37a little so that we can hold on to and we know what we're doing.
- 6:41Natasha went to Women's International Women's Conference
- 6:46where she talked about sexual harassment because at this
- 6:48point, Natasha was now suspended for six months according to the
- 6:52six months. They said six months is
- 6:54basically like a year suspension in the house, in the house.
- 6:58So she went to the women conference, international women
- 7:03conference. She laid her allegations.
- 7:05She said that baby is trying to, to, to, to because she refuses
- 7:09advances, she's trying to kind of silence her.
- 7:13So that became an international issue.
- 7:15She went to BBC, she went to like she was Natasha.
- 7:21So even those that were now supporting Natasha was like,
- 7:23listen, Natasha, this is not an international issue.
- 7:26This is a national issue. If you're saying that you have
- 7:29evidence, bring this everyday, just bring some of it, even
- 7:32release some of it in the media. There are so many people who are
- 7:36trying to fight Apabio that will use that, will jump on that and
- 7:40use it against, you know, Apabio.
- 7:43Just give us the evidence. Your husband and your husband
- 7:46and Apabio are very good friends.
- 7:48I am very sure he knows some of those places where the bodies
- 7:51are buried. Give us evidence.
- 7:55Natasha could not provide evidence.
- 7:57Instead Natasha came out and said that Apabius after her
- 8:01life, if anything happens to her, they should hold Apabio
- 8:06responsible. And Apabius camp were not
- 8:09innocent. They tried in teaching Natasha,
- 8:12they caught of over 252 hundred 50,000 signatures to impeach
- 8:18her, which most of them we had videos, we saw videos online
- 8:22where they literally forged those signatures.
- 8:25People sat down in the room signing those forms.
- 8:28So we knew or everybody knew that you know, those were fake.
- 8:33So INEC rejected the the petition because they said the
- 8:36signatures, there were no phone numbers, there were no addresses
- 8:40attached to them. So they cannot accept that.
- 8:42And then Natasha, Homecoming, she decided to be homecoming.
- 8:46She was coming back to Gogi State after the whole
- 8:48international drama. She wanted to come back to Kogi
- 8:52State. And the Kogi State government
- 8:55literally shut down the whole state.
- 8:57No movement, ladies and gentlemen.
- 8:58Natasha flew in with a helicopter to the event or to
- 9:01the venue, and people were like, Oh my God, this woman, you know,
- 9:05she's, she's fighting for justice.
- 9:07She's really doing well. But even at this point, there
- 9:11was no evidence. So many people were fighting for
- 9:13Natasha. RBS Aquasili was called upon to
- 9:16represent Natasha during a mediation between the Senate
- 9:21organising mediation between Senate President and Senator
- 9:24Natasha. RBS Aquasili was the
- 9:26representative and Akbabi, you had another representative.
- 9:31And when during that was that when that was going on, Obi kind
- 9:36of said something to a Red Cab chief.
- 9:39I don't even know his name, but he's a Red Cab chief.
- 9:41And then Obi told him to shut up.
- 9:44Basically that, ladies and gentlemen, was a showdown.
- 9:48This man was screaming, shouting, insulting.
- 9:51There was no name. He did not call Obi.
- 9:54And Obi was just sitting down. After that there was other media
- 9:57rounds, you know, look at the way men are talking to women.
- 10:00It just became messy. And the whole idea of why
- 10:07Natasha was, you know, the the whole objective was far to
- 10:10represent our people. And it just kind of lost with
- 10:14the whole drama that was going on.
- 10:18Both international, both national people in there were
- 10:22people were divided was men and women camp.
- 10:25Some people believed Natasha, some people believed some people
- 10:30believed gospel and Fabio. And then we're just sitting in
- 10:33our minds in our business thinking, listen, there's at
- 10:35some point these people are going to come to an agreement.
- 10:39You know, there's there's something's got to give.
- 10:42And then there's this lady, Professor Mbeki, she's on
- 10:46Facebook. She's one, she's I think she was
- 10:50a senator in Nigeria or she kind of held some political positions
- 10:54in Nigeria before she left. She came out and said releasing
- 10:58evidence. She said that Natasha, when all
- 11:00this was going on, she supported Natasha.
- 11:03She was like, wow, why would you know, maybe, you know, you know,
- 11:07there's misogyny, you know that it's a man's world.
- 11:11I mean, there are over 100 senators in Nigeria and just
- 11:14four of them are women. So you know, something is going
- 11:17on. You know that women are being
- 11:18marginalised. She said when she heard
- 11:20Natasha's story, she was all out.
- 11:22She wanted to get into the whole thing to know exactly what's
- 11:25going on. But she was asking Natasha,
- 11:28where's the evidence? Give me evidence.
- 11:31He harassed you. He she said what I want you to
- 11:35tell for me to fight for you because she was fighting for
- 11:38Natasha already online, but Natasha kind of wanted her to be
- 11:42on her camp, you know, directly working with her.
- 11:45So Natasha contacted Mrs Professor Mbeki.
- 11:49So when that conversation was going on, Professor Mbeki said
- 11:53she told Natasha that if she had to like come out publicly and
- 11:57said, OK, she's working with Natasha, then Natasha will have
- 12:00to give write her officially. She can be doing what she's
- 12:04doing on Facebook. She's not being paid.
- 12:06She's just doing that out of humanity.
- 12:09But she said if Natasha had to contract her to, to work with
- 12:13her directly, then she had to sign a contract or she had to,
- 12:16to, to send her an official letter.
- 12:18She said Natasha did not send the letter.
- 12:20So Natasha called her and said that she wanted her to, to to
- 12:25help her fight Senator Aqua Bill.
- 12:29She said that she's happy to do that, but she will need to hold
- 12:32on to something. She will need to hold on to at
- 12:35least an evidence. She said Natasha did not provide
- 12:38this evidence. She now called Natasha or she
- 12:40said Natasha called during one of their numerous conversations.
- 12:44She asked Natasha, is it just tell me the truth?
- 12:48Was there sexual harassment in this case?
- 12:51Natasha said there was no sexual harassment, that she was just
- 12:55tired about the whole thing, that according to Professor
- 12:59Nbeke, she shared the voice notes.
- 13:01I mean, there were so many conversations.
- 13:03She shared voice notes where Natasha said there was no sexual
- 13:08harassment, that she just wanted to punish Consuela Papu, that
- 13:12she, according to the Professor Nbeke, she said that Natasha
- 13:15said that allegedly, allegedly, allegedly that she wanted to
- 13:20disrupt the Yoruba government, which is basically Polamet Nupu.
- 13:26And one of if she succeeded in doing that, they will put her as
- 13:30a governor in Gogi State so or as a minister, minister of Mean
- 13:36Petroleum, something like that. So Natasha had her agenda.
- 13:40Nobody knows who is sponsoring her.
- 13:42Professor Wege did not mention but she said that Natasha
- 13:45allegedly said that you know she's being sponsored by other
- 13:49parties to disrupt Bola Ahmed unbu.
- 13:52He said she started asking Natasha to make peace that since
- 13:56she doesn't have evidence, the only reason why she jumped on
- 13:59the course was because Natasha said there was sexual
- 14:03harassment. So she said that, but that was
- 14:06her driving force. But when?
- 14:08According to Professor Meke, when she realised that there was
- 14:12no sexual harassment, she called Natasha to tell Natasha to to
- 14:16pipe down to make peace. There's no like since there's no
- 14:20evidence there was no sexual harassment, he could make peace
- 14:24and then fight this fight in other different ways, she said.
- 14:28Natasha refused and Natasha came out and was claiming that she
- 14:31never knew who she was. So Professor Meke literally came
- 14:34out and started providing evidence.
- 14:36She provided voice notes. She did a live video.
- 14:39She does. I watched that and I was like,
- 14:42wow. Do you think that somebody is
- 14:48behind Natasha? Do you think that Natasha is
- 14:51being sponsored to bring down Akabiu?
- 14:55Or do you think that maybe Professor Becky has been paid?
- 14:59I, I don't even know what to believe because I heard some of
- 15:02those voice notes or voice messages or the recorded calls
- 15:06and I can tell you Natasha has an agenda.
- 15:10Natasha has an agenda. Let me know what you think I'm.
