- 0:00The A stadium is actually happening.
- 0:03>> Yes. At this point, it's more than
- 0:05happening.
- 0:06>> 1st to 25th, [music]
- 0:08>> but uh 26 to 125th,
- 0:11>> $1,000 [music] seat.
- 0:12>> Yeah.
- 0:13>> I mean, it seems like you can finish top
- 0:14120.
- 0:15>> Makes you wonder if these uh cyber
- 0:17[music] attack people actually when they
- 0:19say they won't do what they're planning
- 0:21[music] on doing if you give them some
- 0:23money.
- 0:23>> Caesar, speaking of Caesars, try to
- 0:25group all these things together. Three
- 0:27show bundle. Three shows [music] for
- 0:29$149.
- 0:30>> Kind of cool because a lot of shows here
- 0:31are $149.
- 0:36[music]
- 0:39>> All right, guys. Today's lead story is
- 0:41not a fun one. [music] We don't like
- 0:43covering nonfun things,
- 0:46>> but it's big news. It's made national
- 0:48news. I think uh
- 0:49>> my parents even heard about it back in
- 0:51DC.
- 0:51>> They did.
- 0:52>> Cyber attack on the win.
- 0:54>> This is not the first time, Mike.
- 0:56>> This has happened. MGM properties.
- 0:57>> MGM got crushed.
- 0:59>> Properties.
- 1:00>> Yeah,
- 1:01>> MGM last year was like down.
- 1:04>> Card system was down. The every slot
- 1:06machine was like
- 1:07>> completely down.
- 1:08>> They didn't just threaten.
- 1:09>> No, this was bad. Yeah.
- 1:10>> Reportedly this time, uh, they're
- 1:13looking for $1.5 million in ransom in
- 1:16Bitcoin.
- 1:16>> In Bitcoin,
- 1:17>> looks up to 22.34
- 1:19Bitcoin.
- 1:20>> Man, I had 20 Bitcoin at one time. Don't
- 1:22even get me started.
- 1:23>> Don't even talk about it.
- 1:24>> Oh boy. Oh jeez. Horrible, Mike. Oh boy.
- 1:27Uh Wayne's not making comments on this,
- 1:30but uh you know, hopefully this this
- 1:32won't go any further than it is right
- 1:34now. Supposedly in this situation,
- 1:37>> they're compromising employee data.
- 1:40Yeah.
- 1:40>> And employee credit monitoring and
- 1:42identity protection stuff.
- 1:44>> So it isn't public facing. Obviously,
- 1:46we're we concerned about the employees
- 1:48as well, but it's not I think as big of
- 1:50a
- 1:50>> makes you wonder if these uh cyber
- 1:52attack people actually when they say
- 1:55they won't do what they're planning on
- 1:57doing, if you give them some money,
- 1:58whether they get greedy or not and come
- 2:00back a month later and say, "Well, now
- 2:01we're going to just
- 2:02>> get we want another 10 million or
- 2:04another 20 million or another."
- 2:05>> Yeah.
- 2:06>> This is the challenge with all this
- 2:07because you don't know. It's like, okay,
- 2:08well, if you give me one and a half
- 2:09million, right,
- 2:10>> certainly you'll give me five.
- 2:11>> Yeah. Anybody give me one half million
- 2:12give me 5 million. Yeah.
- 2:13>> It's that thing from Planes Change
- 2:15deals. Anybody that paid $20 for a cab
- 2:16should only pay $40 for a cow.
- 2:18>> Right. Exactly.
- 2:19>> So, all right. On to the fun stuff.
- 2:21Right off the bat,
- 2:22>> we kind of broke this last week.
- 2:24>> Yeah.
- 2:24>> We were hinting at it. We had heard
- 2:26rumors. We We have a friend that
- 2:28potentially might work
- 2:30>> in the atmosphere of the sphere.
- 2:32>> Absolutely. Will work it. Yes.
- 2:33>> What can we say that without getting her
- 2:35in trouble in trouble?
- 2:36>> Okay. So, anyway, we had heard that this
- 2:37this was a done deal.
- 2:39>> It's just what she hears also, right?
- 2:41>> But she's kind of in the end. So,
- 2:43>> they talk they talk a lot. talk.
- 2:44>> They talk a lot.
- 2:45>> She said they're coming and it looks
- 2:47like they are.
- 2:48>> Metallic is going to be here as of right
- 2:49now October.
- 2:51>> My bet on this, if I was a betting man,
- 2:55>> we're sitting in a casino, so I probably
- 2:57am a betting man,
- 2:57>> right?
- 2:58>> I'm going to guess that they're going to
- 2:59have more shows. What they what they
- 3:00they typically do is
- 3:02>> get all this hoopla, get the first shows
- 3:04all sold out,
- 3:06>> then they Oh, well, by popular demand,
- 3:08>> there's only one band that's been there
- 3:10that did not add more shows.
- 3:12>> And that was Fish. They did three shows,
- 3:15>> they they actually did add more shows
- 3:16because they're coming back,
- 3:18>> but they didn't at the time is what
- 3:19we're talking.
- 3:19>> I got what you're saying.
- 3:20>> Yes. I mean, they could come back 10
- 3:21years from now and they would have added
- 3:22more shows.
- 3:23>> So, like at the time for them, Exactly.
- 3:25>> Everyone else that's come there has
- 3:27added more shows. Okay. I was actually
- 3:28just talking to
- 3:29>> you mentioned in my ear Zack Brown might
- 3:31have potentially not added more shows
- 3:33either.
- 3:33>> No, he did. She talked about it.
- 3:35>> Okay. Well, there you go. So, we
- 3:37>> But it was I think it was Did he go away
- 3:40for a month and come back?
- 3:41>> Who's that?
- 3:42>> Zack Brown or not?
- 3:43>> Yes.
- 3:43>> Yeah, I think it might have been
- 3:44>> He was gone and came back. I think
- 3:45that's what she meant. It was a part of
- 3:46the same ticket sale batch,
- 3:48>> right?
- 3:48>> So, it wasn't uh
- 3:49>> It was It was a good show. Everything
- 3:51that we've seen there has been amazing.
- 3:53I mean, it just the graphics.
- 3:54>> Metallica is gonna be insane.
- 3:55>> Metallica is gonna be nice.
- 3:56>> I don't know that I can do it. We're
- 3:57looking at uh prices yesterday and it
- 4:00was about 750 plus tax and service fees
- 4:03and
- 4:03>> yeah well we live here and that's the
- 4:05joy of living here is that we can wait
- 4:07>> and buy last minute so that helps us. Uh
- 4:10my brother wants to come out for this
- 4:11and I think he's already buying tickets
- 4:13today. He's he's going he's going
- 4:15>> the pre-sale's happening right
- 4:18[clears throat] before this comes out I
- 4:19believe. Um, again, my guess is they're
- 4:21going to add more dates. Once they add
- 4:22more dates and there's more supply,
- 4:24>> right?
- 4:24>> And so that'll lower the demand a little
- 4:26bit in terms of like the the crazy
- 4:27ticket prices,
- 4:28>> we'll probably bite the bullet and go
- 4:30see it no matter what and try to just
- 4:32find the cheapest day that we can go
- 4:34>> cuz I like seeing everything that's
- 4:35there.
- 4:36>> Love to see Metallica there.
- 4:37>> And the next thing we're going to go see
- 4:38there
- 4:39>> is right after recording this a couple
- 4:41days from now, we're going to go see
- 4:42this. I think it's aluminum illuminarium
- 4:44or I can never get the right. It's it's
- 4:46a rave. see everything there. It screws
- 4:49up my sleep schedule cuz it starts like
- 4:50late at night and
- 4:52>> I'm used to crazy graphics that those
- 4:54are amazing.
- 4:55>> It's a ton of fun.
- 4:56>> The uh the only thing that makes me sad
- 4:58about the sphere right now is the August
- 5:00dates that we reserved for this year for
- 5:01dead in company
- 5:03>> just got just got well cuz it's you know
- 5:05there's no more dead company I guess at
- 5:06least in its current
- 5:07>> incarnation and so those dates were
- 5:11>> Backstreet Boys got added that's what it
- 5:13was. I'm sure I was trying to remember.
- 5:14They've actually always added the extra
- 5:16dates,
- 5:16>> right?
- 5:17>> Uh if you haven't gone and see that
- 5:18show, Mrs. DJ highly recommends it. We
- 5:20had some footage of that last week. So,
- 5:22[music]
- 5:22>> right.
- 5:22>> All right, moving on.
- 5:24>> The A stadium is actually happening.
- 5:27>> Yes, at this point.
- 5:28>> It's more than happening. They have they
- 5:30have started building the structure.
- 5:32>> They have finished
- 5:32>> not just a hole,
- 5:33>> the foundation,
- 5:34>> right?
- 5:34>> Which is a a massive accomplishment.
- 5:38It's so funny cuz no one thought that
- 5:40this was actually going to happen.
- 5:41>> I know.
- 5:43It's like the Bright Line train. People
- 5:44believe like this is still not going to
- 5:46happen.
- 5:46>> Oh, but we drove by that yesterday in
- 5:48the parking garage.
- 5:49>> Gigantic parking structure. Like they
- 5:50don't start building stuff like this and
- 5:51then
- 5:52>> and then not make it happen. I mean
- 5:53there are some examples I'm sure
- 5:55somewhere in the world. But once you
- 5:57spent a billion, you're going to
- 5:58>> spend the other billion.
- 5:59>> They did build Fountain Blue
- 6:01>> and it sat there for 15 years.
- 6:04>> A great example.
- 6:04>> Until they finally finished it. So
- 6:05>> yeah, that is a great example.
- 6:06>> But this ace stadium is coming.
- 6:08>> Foundations in. So, like the rest of it
- 6:10now,
- 6:11>> from what I understand of all this, it
- 6:13goes much quicker cuz the the
- 6:14foundations, all the concrete pouring,
- 6:16which is more complicated. There's also
- 6:19times of the year here where it gets too
- 6:20hot. You can't pour concrete. So, there
- 6:21were some delays
- 6:23>> uh for that last year, I believe. Uh
- 6:24they got to dig the footings and
- 6:26everything. And so, it's like there's
- 6:26stuff that happens like in the ground,
- 6:28under the ground, all that stuff that's
- 6:29happening that you can't even physically
- 6:30see. Well, now that that's all done,
- 6:32it's just like an exoskeleton now that
- 6:34they're putting on.
- 6:35>> They got to put all the secret tunnels
- 6:36in, too. You know, in Vegas, we have
- 6:37secret tunnels to everything. Well,
- 6:38that'll be the Tesla loop.
- 6:41>> That was another conspiracy theory.
- 6:43>> It is. It is. It's like the sneaker
- 6:45tunnel that goes from the White House to
- 6:46the Pentagon.
- 6:47>> Exactly. Well, Kennedy used that, right?
- 6:48>> Right. So,
- 6:49>> yeah, it's a long walk.
- 6:50>> Yeah,
- 6:51>> that's a long walk.
- 6:51>> You should have been in a tunnel in
- 6:52Dallas
- 6:53>> too soon,
- 6:54>> right?
- 6:54>> Okay.
- 6:55>> So, 2026, uh, sorry, they're still on
- 6:59track for 2028.
- 7:01>> The 2028 season. So, we're about to play
- 7:04the 2026 27 season and then I guess the
- 7:0727 season and then the following year.
- 7:09So, we're hopefully two more baseball
- 7:11seasons away.
- 7:12>> Yeah. I spoke with an ace big A's fan
- 7:14from Oakland yesterday when we were at
- 7:16the casino and I said, "Are you excited
- 7:18that they're coming here?" And he goes,
- 7:20"No, I don't want him to leave Oakland."
- 7:22Is that right?
- 7:23>> Cuz he lives in Oakland. He doesn't want
- 7:24to have to travel here. I go, "But it's
- 7:26going to be so cool to come to Vegas and
- 7:27you you come here, you gamble, you're
- 7:29going to have fun. Go to an A's game."
- 7:30He goes, "No, I I don't want him to
- 7:32leave. I love it. I love that they're an
- 7:34Oakland team.
- 7:34>> Not everybody likes Vegas."
- 7:36>> Yeah. He wants to come gamble, but he
- 7:38just
- 7:38>> We love Vegas. We're here. I'm happy
- 7:39they're coming.
- 7:40>> I told him I'd go with him to a game if
- 7:41he wanted to. So, we'll see. Maybe he'll
- 7:43look us up again.
- 7:44>> The thing that I think is going to be
- 7:45interesting from here now that we're at
- 7:48this phase where we know the stadium's
- 7:50coming,
- 7:50>> right? Like, we know that that is going
- 7:52to be there.
- 7:53>> Stadiums are an economic driver.
- 7:56Absolutely. every every city that's ever
- 7:58put in a stadium. Now,
- 8:00>> there's all kinds of controversy of is
- 8:01it actually worth it? That's not what
- 8:03I'm talking about here. Like, should you
- 8:04have public funding for it? And like, is
- 8:06it worth the $23 billion to put in the
- 8:08stadium?
- 8:09>> That's not what I'm going to argue here.
- 8:10What I'm just talking about is you put
- 8:12the stadium in, stuff gets built around
- 8:14it. We lived in San Diego as a for
- 8:16instance for 7 years before moving back
- 8:18to Vegas and where Petco went was
- 8:22>> I can't say the words, a poop hole.
- 8:24Let's say neighborhood neighborhood. It
- 8:26was not a very nice neighborhood. Petco
- 8:27Park goes in and slowly but surely
- 8:30everything around it became one of the
- 8:32nicest parts of San Diego,
- 8:33>> right?
- 8:34>> I think that we're going to see some of
- 8:35that here. And so what does that mean?
- 8:37What does the corner of MGM Grand turn
- 8:40into and look like?
- 8:41>> I think the real interesting thing is
- 8:44what happens to Luxor?
- 8:45>> Luxor Excalibur specifically Excalibur.
- 8:49>> Those are getting a little bit old and
- 8:51grungy. I do wonder if it's just going
- 8:53to renovate or if they're going to
- 8:54implode Excalibur at some point and just
- 8:57start over.
- 8:58>> That's my guess. I think they take
- 9:00either that property or potentially both
- 9:02properties.
- 9:03>> It's possible. There was talks about
- 9:04that a year ago.
- 9:05>> Yeah. Well, that was a
- 9:06>> but it was a it was a fake news. Yeah.
- 9:08>> So, anyway, I think that that'll be
- 9:09interesting to see where things go.
- 9:10>> I'm looking forward. I love baseball. I
- 9:12love sitting out there. It's It's not a
- 9:15dome, but the way they're building it,
- 9:19the structure that they showed at least,
- 9:20you never know until it's done what it's
- 9:22going to look like. It looks pretty
- 9:24awesome. And to have an outside air feel
- 9:26and just drinking a couple beers and
- 9:28watching baseball for nine innings, I I
- 9:30really enjoy it. So, I'm looking forward
- 9:31controversial amongst locals of where
- 9:33it's located.
- 9:34>> Yeah,
- 9:34>> I think it's in a great spot. They just
- 9:36redid that whole Tropicana interchange.
- 9:38>> Yeah,
- 9:38>> the highway is still kind of a
- 9:40>> a mess
- 9:41>> show. People want to say the the bad
- 9:43words today.
- 9:45>> It's a mess. I don't know what they were
- 9:46thinking, but they the interchange is
- 9:48beautiful. Like you have
- 9:50>> seven or eight turn lanes coming up off
- 9:52that Tropican interchange. There's extra
- 9:54lanes on
- 9:55>> I wish they had a better way out of the
- 9:57back because there's all these little
- 9:58motel and stuff back there that I wish
- 10:01there was a way that they could just
- 10:03>> imminent domain type thing or something
- 10:05>> and just and just make a better way to
- 10:07get in and out.
- 10:08>> Yeah. It's just they did that to my
- 10:10grandparents down in Arizona. They built
- 10:12a freeway straight through their house.
- 10:13>> They said, "Here's market value and they
- 10:16weren't happy about it. They they can do
- 10:18that."
- 10:18>> I mean, I I think I talked about this
- 10:20last week.
- 10:22>> You have MGM, Excalibur, Luxor, Mandalay
- 10:24Bay, all where you can just see it right
- 10:27from their, you know, from their
- 10:28property.
- 10:29>> That's a lot of hotel rooms. A lot of
- 10:31people come visit and go to the games.
- 10:32>> You know, I think for for a local
- 10:35perspective, it's actually not
- 10:36necessarily in a bad spot. You can come
- 10:37in down Frank Sinatra Park at you know
- 10:40New York or something over there and
- 10:42just like walk over.
- 10:43>> Uh I I don't think it's going to be that
- 10:45bad. Park in Mandalay Bay easily walk
- 10:46over
- 10:47>> even Lux Rock Caliber you can come in
- 10:49from the east side. The same with MGM.
- 10:51You can come in from the east side.
- 10:52>> That's true. Right there. So we'll see.
- 10:55Plus I think you know the Tesla loop is
- 10:56coming. Maybe it get ends up down there
- 10:58shortly after the stadium opens. So that
- 11:00gets more people move for other parts of
- 11:02the city down to there. So yeah,
- 11:04>> uh there's actually I think a story on
- 11:06the on the list today.
- 11:07>> All right. Caesar's Race and Sports Book
- 11:09is opening at the resort at Summerland,
- 11:11which was
- 11:12>> And I was going to ask you about this.
- 11:13The Resort at Summerland.
- 11:15>> It's where uh JPF plays.
- 11:18>> Oh, so it's Rampart. That's right. They
- 11:20renamed it.
- 11:21>> Yeah.
- 11:21>> Okay. So Caesars is taking over that
- 11:23sports book cuz Caesars didn't open own
- 11:26Rampart, right?
- 11:26>> It's a Caesars branded sports book. So
- 11:28you have this thing now where there's
- 11:30STN sports books get like loaded into
- 11:33places and there's the Boomer sports
- 11:35book that gets loaded into places and
- 11:36>> what's the William Hill that's in like
- 11:38all the bars? It's like just kiosk.
- 11:40>> Okay, so that's going to be out at the
- 11:42resort or something. Okay, cool.
- 11:43>> And from what I understand here, they're
- 11:45building,
- 11:46>> you know, a new structure or place
- 11:49within there rebranding the sports book.
- 11:51This opens on March 3rd. Yeah, we uh we
- 11:53might be out there
- 11:55>> uh for that day. I think March 3rd might
- 11:56we might be out there on the second
- 11:59actually. I think we're plan on going up
- 12:00there. We haven't gone to see our
- 12:01friends up there.
- 12:02Famous and Chicky. So,
- 12:04>> yeah, let's get up there.
- 12:05>> Maybe we'll just stop by and take a peek
- 12:06through the curtain.
- 12:07>> I imagine by the day before it opens,
- 12:10>> they'll they'll just have it like open.
- 12:12It's not going to be behind a curtain or
- 12:14a wall anymore. So,
- 12:15>> BPF plays there so much that maybe he
- 12:16can get us like a backstage pass.
- 12:18>> Yeah.
- 12:19>> Looking at you.
- 12:20>> They don't they don't use his He doesn't
- 12:21use his card though. So,
- 12:22>> that's true. But they know him.
- 12:23>> They don't even know he's there.
- 12:24>> Oh, they know him. Oh, they know.
- 12:26>> That's coming out there right up there.
- 12:29>> Uh this is an interesting one. On the
- 12:31next thing, Caesar. Speaking of Caesars,
- 12:33try to group all these things together.
- 12:35>> Three show bundle.
- 12:37>> Three shows for $149.
- 12:39>> Kind of cool because a lot of shows here
- 12:40are $149.
- 12:41>> Yeah. And it's a it's like an Alec
- 12:43heart. Yeah.
- 12:43>> Build your own show bundle. They have
- 12:45what is this? One, two, three, 12, 15
- 12:47shows on this list. Popular shows. The
- 12:50Piff Men Dragon. You got Donnie Osman.
- 12:52I'm not going to read every one of these
- 12:53things, but uh the MJ live one we've
- 12:55seen. Really, really great show.
- 12:57>> Really good. Yeah, you should definitely
- 12:58add that to your list of three if you're
- 13:00going to pick from this.
- 13:01>> Yeah, couple of these we have seen like
- 13:03menopause that wasn't that great. It's
- 13:05in a smaller showroom. It wasn't as
- 13:07good, but but Piff
- 13:08>> Laugh Factory you can usually get in
- 13:10there for less than 50 bucks. So, I
- 13:12wouldn't spend the the third of the 149
- 13:14on that. But we've been to Battlebots.
- 13:17We've been we've been to a lot of these.
- 13:19>> I'd be curious which three show package
- 13:20you guys would pick.
- 13:21>> Right. Uh, for me it would it would be
- 13:23for sure if I was if I had never been to
- 13:25Vegas or knowing everything that I know
- 13:26now, but I hadn't seen these shows, MJ
- 13:28Live for sure would definitely be on
- 13:30there. I love the hologram thing that
- 13:31they do. That's probably the premier
- 13:32show on here. Believe it or not, Pith
- 13:34the Magic Dragon.
- 13:35>> That guy is really really funny. It's
- 13:38It's really good. And then I think the
- 13:40last one I would pick would be Wayne
- 13:41Newton just because it's nostalgic. It's
- 13:44uh a little bit sad. Same with Donnie
- 13:46Osman. But
- 13:47>> I haven't seen that one. Don't really
- 13:48care as much. I haven't seen it either,
- 13:50but they're both kind of
- 13:51>> old is uh it's just sweet. You know, the
- 13:53guy is still still doing this in into
- 13:55his late [music] 80s.
- 13:56>> I've been to the paranormal and that
- 13:58mind reading and it's creepy.
- 13:59>> That one's good, too.
- 14:00>> It's really good. It's creepy. Good.
- 14:02>> I think that the good thing about this
- 14:03is
- 14:05>> this gives me some hope that some of
- 14:07these
- 14:08>> casino executives
- 14:09>> are seeing some [clears throat] of the
- 14:10writing on the wall and trying to get
- 14:12people back and valueminded. Yeah.
- 14:14Because all these shows are typically
- 14:17$149 each,
- 14:18>> right?
- 14:19>> Or even if you can get a ticket to one
- 14:21of these shows for 80 bucks or whatever,
- 14:24>> you're it's it's a really good deal.
- 14:26This bundle is a really good deal.
- 14:28>> So, go check that out while supplies
- 14:30last.
- 14:30>> Yeah. Right. They might stop it quickly.
- 14:33>> Who knows?
- 14:34>> All right. So, we threw in a story. This
- 14:36is more an art orbit. You guys are going
- 14:38to know more and more about us
- 14:40>> as we do more podcasts, but Ryan and I
- 14:41both come from a poker background. Uh I
- 14:44had started actually a poker affiliate
- 14:45company in 2004 and was really deeply uh
- 14:49rooted in the poker industry. Went to my
- 14:51first uh World Series main event uh the
- 14:53year that uh Greg Reamer had won which I
- 14:55think was 2005 maybe 2006 right around
- 14:58there
- 14:59>> covering that uh you know just I've been
- 15:01around it forever and seeing this promo
- 15:03here brings a smile to my eyes. I mean
- 15:05>> they did this last year they're doing it
- 15:07again.
- 15:08>> Smile to your eyes. Yeah. Okay.
- 15:09>> They did it last year. My Mrs. DJ
- 15:11actually qualified for this last year.
- 15:14Um, but I think last year they did it 50
- 15:1850 hours. This year they're doing 100.
- 15:22>> And this is doable.
- 15:23>> It's a lot of hours.
- 15:23>> It's March 1st to May 24th.
- 15:26>> If you play 100 hours at the live poker
- 15:28game, right?
- 15:28>> So you go in there and play one, three
- 15:30or two five or whatever games they have
- 15:32going on at the Horseshoe in their poker
- 15:34room.
- 15:34>> For every hour, you know, you towards
- 15:37your 100, you you're chalking up time.
- 15:39When you hit 100 hours, you qualify for
- 15:41the tournament, right?
- 15:42>> And this is a gigantic free roll. It's
- 15:43over $400,000 in value. 1st through 25th
- 15:47in the free roll, get a $10,000 main
- 15:50event seat,
- 15:51>> which is insane.
- 15:51>> And if you've never played it, it is a
- 15:54poker player's dream to play that
- 15:55tournament.
- 15:56>> And we've both done it.
- 15:57>> Uh the day that you get knocked out of
- 15:58it will be one of the worst days of your
- 16:00life.
- 16:00>> It's rough. It's a rough walk out of the
- 16:02building.
- 16:03>> Yeah. We were hanging out with Abby
- 16:05Poker last night. She came by and we
- 16:06were talking and I was just like, you
- 16:08know, the the worst day of the year
- 16:10>> for a poker players, the day you get
- 16:11knocked out of the main event cuz she
- 16:12was talking about getting torched in the
- 16:14main event last year in the first hour.
- 16:15>> First hour.
- 16:16>> She's like, I had the third nuts against
- 16:17the first the the nuts. And she's like,
- 16:19I can't believe the guy had 95. I'm
- 16:20like, it's the main event. Believe it.
- 16:22So, you learned that lesson early on.
- 16:23Usually once someone's all in in the
- 16:25first hour, they got the goods. You just
- 16:26you got to fold. Yeah.
- 16:28>> And if they're if they got the guts to
- 16:29do it, just good for them.
- 16:30>> Yeah. Right. Just walk away from
- 16:32>> walk away. Not only do you get first
- 16:33through 25th, but uh 26th through 125th,
- 16:38>> it's a lot of places.
- 16:38>> That's $1,000 seat.
- 16:40>> Yeah.
- 16:40>> I mean, it seems like you can finish in
- 16:41the top 125.
- 16:42>> $1,000 entry. So, if you can make it up
- 16:45to 125th,
- 16:46>> yeah,
- 16:47>> that is a lot of seats.
- 16:49>> I think last year they were saying they
- 16:51had
- 16:52>> it wasn't a large number. I want to say
- 16:54it was like 600 to a,000 people that
- 16:56actually qualified.
- 16:58>> So,
- 16:58>> it's like 20% of the field.
- 17:00>> It's in that range somewhere. I think
- 17:01last year, I'm not positive, but I
- 17:02remember Melanie talking about it and
- 17:04thinking, you've got a really good
- 17:06chance at at least a thousand minimum.
- 17:08And she actually in her live play was up
- 17:11by the end of it three or 4 hundred
- 17:12bucks after she got 50 hours. But 100
- 17:15hours is a lot of commitment. Um, if you
- 17:17can do it,
- 17:17>> it's a long time.
- 17:18>> Uh, mostly locals are the ones that do
- 17:20it unless you come out here really often
- 17:23>> u, and you do long sessions.
- 17:25>> But it's a it's a cool promo.
- 17:27>> It's 25 4-hour sessions. It's I mean
- 17:29it's
- 17:30>> don't don't forget about 126 through
- 17:32$225th.
- 17:33>> Yeah.
- 17:33>> I mean for me I would kind of want to
- 17:35forget about it because that mini man is
- 17:36such a
- 17:36>> but it's another $550.
- 17:38>> How many times am I going to want to say
- 17:40s show?
- 17:41>> Yeah. Why do you keep saying that?
- 17:42>> I don't know. It's like just the only
- 17:43words I can come up with today. It's
- 17:44crazy. That's what that that video that
- 17:46uh
- 17:46>> the mini is. I played it. I'll never
- 17:49I'll never play that again.
- 17:50>> Yeah. It is it is just a allin fest
- 17:54craziness.
- 17:54>> First first orbit. Yeah. All in. All in.
- 17:56>> It's crazy. like guys turning over 97
- 17:59suited like I'll go reby.
- 18:00>> Well, they let you reby. Yeah, that's
- 18:01why that's the reason why.
- 18:02>> Unlike the main event, the main event
- 18:04you get one bullet and that's it. If you
- 18:06if you show up and and bust out like
- 18:09like Abby did, you can't go give them
- 18:11another $10,000 and get back in. You
- 18:13only get one buy in. So, it's funny how
- 18:16these other tournaments work where they
- 18:17multiple rebys. These people come with
- 18:19thousands of dollars in their pocket and
- 18:21they just keep on firing, buying after
- 18:23buying after buying. It's crazy. And
- 18:26with the new app, you like you get
- 18:27busted out while you're still sitting
- 18:28down. It's like, "Okay, rewind." Okay,
- 18:30where am I going? There there's, you
- 18:31know, the next table. I'm gonna walk
- 18:33over there. So,
- 18:34>> yeah, which I've I've been there.
- 18:37>> Yeah. [laughter] I I don't usually if I
- 18:39do one.
- 18:40>> I've had to do it.
- 18:41>> Yeah. I mean,
- 18:42>> one one is enough for me.
- 18:44>> The thousand tournament though, really
- 18:45good tournament, good value. Uh, you
- 18:48know, I think that any of those places
- 18:50up in up there,
- 18:51>> 125 places. That's
- 18:52>> And obviously if I want a mini main
- 18:54seat, I go play it. Yeah.
- 18:55>> But it's not something I'm gonna go
- 18:57personally sign up for
- 18:58>> and try again
- 18:58>> with your own money.
- 19:00>> Um, this next one I'm actually super
- 19:02excited about.
- 19:02>> I'm a I'm a geek. What are you going to
- 19:04do? It's uh I think it's fun. This feels
- 19:07like uh the Jetsons but but underground
- 19:09cuz the Jetsons were in the air, right?
- 19:11It's more like Total Recall to me with
- 19:13Arnold Schwarzenegger down under the
- 19:14city, all the secret tunnels. And that's
- 19:17that's what he's doing here in this town
- 19:19with this Tesla loop. It's crazy.
- 19:21>> The Vegas Tesla Loop, the the Boring
- 19:23Company.
- 19:24>> Yeah.
- 19:25>> I I remember thinking
- 19:27when I first heard that name.
- 19:28>> I wondered if he was just trying to hide
- 19:30money or something like I'm going to go
- 19:31build a tunnel underground and use
- 19:33millions of dollars instead of paying
- 19:35taxes on it. We're driving over a
- 19:37trillion dollars of $100 bills that just
- 19:40got like hiding underneath there.
- 19:41>> I don't know. It was weird.
- 19:42>> It's so It's a funny story. When I first
- 19:44heard the Boring Company, my mind didn't
- 19:46go with like drilling a hole under the
- 19:48one with like
- 19:49>> sleeping,
- 19:50>> you know? I'm like that's
- 19:51>> he's opening a very boring company.
- 19:53>> Yeah. And then I realized like I'm not
- 19:55not the smartest person in the room.
- 19:56>> Oh my god.
- 19:57>> You know, right. Maybe she didn't trust
- 19:59me with business operations. So I don't
- 20:02know. But the cool thing is they've
- 20:03opened up a Tesla loop station at Lontin
- 20:05Blue now. And for whatever reason, well,
- 20:08I guess I kind of know the reason, but
- 20:09there's like this like conglomerate now
- 20:11of loop stations up at that edge of the
- 20:13strip.
- 20:15Resorts World, Westgate, the the Win are
- 20:19all Tesla loop stations
- 20:20>> all the way over to the convention
- 20:22center. Yeah. So, the convention center
- 20:23was where like you said was
- 20:25>> the convention center is so big. The
- 20:28first loop stations were just connecting
- 20:30the different halls of the convention
- 20:32center. So, you didn't have to walk a
- 20:33mile. You just hopped in the Tesla under
- 20:35the ground and 2 minutes later, you
- 20:37know, when I went to a convention there,
- 20:40I got one of those little electric carts
- 20:41and rode around cuz I had just sprained
- 20:43my ankle.
- 20:44>> Okay. That was like I was hoping there
- 20:45was a reason why.
- 20:46>> So, yeah, I was like, I'm not walking on
- 20:47a sprained ankle. This place is massive.
- 20:49>> How lazy are you?
- 20:50>> So, I got a little electric cart. Okay.
- 20:53Yeah, it was running over. It was pretty
- 20:54awesome. Get out of my
- 20:56>> my inner Doyle Brunson. Yeah. Just
- 20:58plowing through.
- 20:59>> He was He was 80 years old.
- 21:00>> Yeah. But he didn't have a sprained
- 21:02ankle.
- 21:02>> No.
- 21:03>> I mean, when I'm 80, hopefully I can
- 21:04just walk.
- 21:04>> He was 80 years old. He was uh
- 21:06>> I can just walk.
- 21:07>> I I miss him being on this.
- 21:08>> I don't want to sprain my ankle.
- 21:09>> He was He was a great He was a great
- 21:11ambassador for poker.
- 21:12>> He was awesome. Yes.
- 21:13>> Um not only does Fountain Blue now
- 21:14connected, but you can take a trip out
- 21:16to the airport.
- 21:18>> The loop got to the airport.
- 21:19>> Yeah. So it's like
- 21:19>> it's open
- 21:20>> over the ground though.
- 21:21>> Oh, okay.
- 21:22>> Yeah. So it's not fully bored.
- 21:23>> Okay. So, it's like it's like under the
- 21:24ground and it comes up, pops out and
- 21:26it's like I think it goes right past
- 21:28trop.
- 21:29>> Really? Okay.
- 21:30>> So,
- 21:30>> there is a lot. I know where that lot is
- 21:32that they've been building.
- 21:33>> Yeah.
- 21:34>> Something, but I didn't know that's what
- 21:35it was. Okay. So, it pops up there. Do
- 21:36you have to walk from there?
- 21:37>> I feel like I need to go down there and
- 21:38investigate exactly where this thing
- 21:39comes out.
- 21:40>> I wonder if you have to walk from there.
- 21:41That's not a short walk.
- 21:42>> No, but it it from my understanding you
- 21:44can get a trip from the airport and
- 21:45they're they're going there. So, we're
- 21:47going to go do I know the cabs don't
- 21:48like
- 21:49>> by next week we'll investigate. Go down.
- 21:50>> I would like to go ride that whole
- 21:52system. Yeah,
- 21:52>> we should do that.
- 21:54>> Put that on the next
- 21:55>> any reason to It doesn't really go to
- 21:57any casinos that we go to often.
- 21:58>> No, but it would just be
- 21:59>> it would be fun to go deal.
- 22:00>> We could day drink.
- 22:02>> Oh,
- 22:02>> and we could have a drink at each one
- 22:05and they would drive us from each one.
- 22:07>> That sounds fun.
- 22:08>> And then I would be concerned about the
- 22:09driver like hitting the wall the whole
- 22:10time cuz it is freakish being down here.
- 22:12>> You told me. I haven't done it.
- 22:13>> We haven't been in there yet.
- 22:15>> Oh, we have we have some footage. I'll
- 22:16I'll throw it up there. I want to go get
- 22:18our own footage of us in the Tesla
- 22:20together
- 22:21>> from this week. It'll We'll use this
- 22:23footage I have I have somewhere. It is
- 22:25It is.
- 22:26>> Yeah, I've never done that. I know that
- 22:28it's there. I obviously
- 22:30>> You obviously know the size of my Tesla
- 22:31cuz I have I have a Model Y. This
- 22:33thing's like this. This tunnel's
- 22:35>> like you're touching.
- 22:36>> It feels like it's inches bigger than
- 22:37the car, but it's it's bigger than that.
- 22:39But it, you know, it is if you're
- 22:40claustrophobic, it's it's kind of wild.
- 22:42And for right now, they have a driver,
- 22:44but they're they're eventually
- 22:46autonomous.
- 22:46>> Yeah. Wow.
- 22:47>> Cuz they haven't gotten the approval yet
- 22:48to be fully autonomous.
- 22:49>> Oh, I thought that it was.
- 22:50>> It's the technology already exists. It
- 22:53just they they haven't turned off.
- 22:54>> Oh, yeah. We've got cars driving around
- 22:55town on the streets. Seems like it'd be
- 22:57safer in a tunnel than out on the
- 22:58streets with other people.
- 23:00>> So, but anyway, I'll see if we can get
- 23:02down in the next week or two and try to
- 23:03get some footage cuz for me, this is
- 23:04super freaking cool. It makes me think
- 23:06of the metro. This is totally not Vegas,
- 23:09but the metro got all the way out to
- 23:10Dulles airport now in Washington DC. And
- 23:13when we got off there, you like I I did
- 23:15it just to just to experience it. You
- 23:17walk under the parking lot at Dallasos
- 23:19airport and pop up in Dallas airport.
- 23:21>> Okay.
- 23:21>> And I I don't know if it's going to be
- 23:23something similar to that or or what,
- 23:24but I think it's going to be amazing if
- 23:26you can land at the airport, hop in the
- 23:28Tesla loop, you know, let's say within 5
- 23:30years from now, and go to any casino in
- 23:32town. That would be cool.
- 23:33>> Oh my lord. Like what a better way than
- 23:34dealing with an Uber or a taxi. I'm
- 23:36sorry. Uber and taxi.
- 23:37>> Oh yeah, you're you're hurting people's
- 23:38feelings now.
- 23:39>> All right. This next story bodess really
- 23:42well for Vegas.
- 23:44>> Yes.
- 23:44>> I was starting to worry a little bit.
- 23:46>> Of course,
- 23:47>> all these headlines coming out
- 23:49>> here dying.
- 23:50>> Yeah. I mean, it's it's kind of a weird
- 23:52back and forth because when the Vegas
- 23:55dying headlines are out
- 23:57>> and the hotels are starting to do things
- 23:58like we just talked about was $149 show
- 24:00special. Like I want more people to come
- 24:02to Vegas, but in some ways I don't want
- 24:04more people to come to Vegas cuz it's
- 24:05more traffic and more whatever. But
- 24:07overall, I want our economy to progress.
- 24:09Yeah. I want the economy to be strong.
- 24:10I'd rather it be busy and crowded if I
- 24:12had to pick between the two. And so
- 24:14seeing this
- 24:16>> uh headline here makes me really happy.
- 24:18Very good news.
- 24:18>> The LVC
- 24:21>> VA acronym, it's like the Las Vegas
- 24:24Convention Authority, I believe, or
- 24:26something along those lines,
- 24:28>> uh has signed 447 room nights,
- 24:31>> uh 28% new to Vegas for additional
- 24:35conventions that are coming into town.
- 24:37So that is really really good news.
- 24:39>> Huge.
- 24:40>> Uh and and I did some additional
- 24:42investigation because I'm like well
- 24:43because I have my show this is this.
- 24:45Yeah. So it's like Burlington. I haven't
- 24:46heard of them. I I don't know if it's
- 24:48like is that Burlington
- 24:49>> Coat Factory? They're having a big
- 24:50convention here. [laughter] We have the
- 24:52chance to get some nice coats.
- 24:54>> Yeah. I don't know what what that is,
- 24:55but Emerson Electric, they're obviously
- 24:57a huge company that I'm aware of.
- 24:58Philips Healthcare. I don't know this at
- 25:02uh IIA, a CF technology industry
- 25:04association. They must be pretty big to
- 25:06be able to to make it into headlines.
- 25:08But
- 25:08>> good news cuz the convention industry
- 25:10here is kind of the backbone of
- 25:12everything,
- 25:12>> right?
- 25:13>> Uh you really see an uptick in traffic
- 25:16over at the Venetian, over at the wind,
- 25:19at the West, all these like surrounding
- 25:20properties, especially now that they're
- 25:22connected,
- 25:22>> especially midweek because they stay for
- 25:25the the midweek.
- 25:27>> They fly everybody out here. they stay
- 25:28in the midweek and then when they go
- 25:30home or some of them extend
- 25:32>> um then all the tourists come for the
- 25:34weekends who aren't the convention
- 25:35people. So midweek business will be way
- 25:38up from these conventions
- 25:40of the Vegas economy. You if you ever
- 25:42look to book rooms here, it's like $29 a
- 25:46night for Sunday through Thursday and
- 25:49it's like $500 a night for Friday and
- 25:51Sunday because everyone's driving in
- 25:52here from California flying in here. D.
- 25:54So, as Ryan was saying, that midweek
- 25:56business is really important at the
- 25:57convention [music] center. Uh,
- 25:58convention brings in a whole host of
- 26:01different people that might not have
- 26:02ever come to Vegas because they're
- 26:03coming here because they're coming to
- 26:05that convention. And
- 26:06>> it's it's also really easy to find those
- 26:08people around town because they all have
- 26:10lanyards.
- 26:10>> That's right. [laughter]
- 26:12Such
- 26:12>> It's really good when you walk up to a
- 26:14poker table and four people on the table
- 26:15have lanyards on.
- 26:16>> Yes.
- 26:17>> If you've ever watched rounders,
- 26:19everyone starts to drool a little bit
- 26:21like
- 26:21>> I've never played before, but I just
- 26:23want to try it out. Yeah.
- 26:24>> There's a saying in New York City, how
- 26:26do you spot the tourist?
- 26:28>> Yeah.
- 26:28>> And it's cuz they're looking up,
- 26:29>> right?
- 26:31>> Put their mouth.
- 26:32>> Wow, look at the big buildings.
- 26:33>> Yeah. Cuz it's just, you know, it's
- 26:34everything's
- 26:35>> So when they go see, how do you spot the
- 26:36tourist? They got they got they got the
- 26:38lanyard on.
- 26:38>> Yeah.
- 26:39>> All right.
- 26:40uh Formula 1 next year.
- 26:43>> This is interesting.
- 26:44>> This is kind of interesting because
- 26:45these numbers have been really expensive
- 26:48the first few years of Formula 1. So,
- 26:51this is interesting.
- 26:52>> What's interesting to me is how to spin
- 26:54a headline.
- 26:55>> Yeah.
- 26:55>> Right. Cuz it's just like Formula 1
- 26:57stance has been the most successful
- 26:59Formula 1 in the world has been in
- 27:01Vegas. And it's like they've changed
- 27:03Vegas and and Vegas would be dead
- 27:04without Formula 1 and all these
- 27:06different things. Now, Formula 1's
- 27:08announcing uh best available pricing and
- 27:11they're trying to like help sell more
- 27:12tickets, make it more affordable to get
- 27:15all the seats sold. So, maybe maybe they
- 27:17didn't sell out as much as we're trying
- 27:19to lead on. Or maybe there's additional
- 27:21opportunities in different parts of the
- 27:23track to fit even more people in, which
- 27:24would be even better.
- 27:26>> It's really interesting. Again, this is
- 27:28one of these things where don't believe
- 27:29everything you read or hear. Yeah.
- 27:31>> Because
- 27:31>> wait till you hear it from us.
- 27:33>> Yeah. If you hear from us, you know it's
- 27:34it's absolutely got to be true,
- 27:36>> right?
- 27:37And we also just got a
- 27:40>> uh relationship. We've started a
- 27:42relationship with Ellis Island, which is
- 27:45right next to the paddock
- 27:47>> uh for Formula 1, which we talked about
- 27:49in one of our videos the other day, but
- 27:51we're hoping that next year for Formula
- 27:531, they have a rooftop. Look straight at
- 27:55the track.
- 27:56>> We're hoping next year we can maybe get
- 27:58>> They actually invited us this year at
- 27:59the last second
- 28:00>> and we already knew what the weather
- 28:01forecast was at that point.
- 28:03>> Supposed to be raining.
- 28:03>> I think that's why there was uh some
- 28:05people dropping out.
- 28:06just misting.
- 28:07>> But hopefully by next year we can get up
- 28:09there and watch that. I've never been to
- 28:10a Formula 1 race
- 28:12>> and I love racing.
- 28:14>> I would absolutely love to go to this.
- 28:15>> So yeah,
- 28:16>> I really hope that our relationship with
- 28:17Ellis Island coming this year. By the
- 28:18way, if you guys go to Ellis Island, uh
- 28:22starting like in mid-March, we're going
- 28:23to have a free play offer which will be
- 28:25really really cool. You're going to go
- 28:26to desertens.com
- 28:28and in about two weeks, go register
- 28:30there and be able to then take that
- 28:31email and go into the players desk and
- 28:33say, "I want to take my Desert DJ's free
- 28:34spin." Yeah.
- 28:35>> And they're going to give you $1,500 to
- 28:37$1,000 in free play. You'll spin a wheel
- 28:39and there's $1,000.
- 28:40>> $15.
- 28:41>> Sorry. Did I say 1,500?
- 28:42>> Yeah. 1,500. $15.
- 28:44>> Luckily, Ryan,
- 28:46>> I'm just checking.
- 28:47>> It's anywhere in between there.
- 28:49>> Obviously, there's going to be a lot of
- 28:50$15 spins. It's It's the way this works.
- 28:52But we've been assured that
- 28:55>> if we get hundreds of people that come
- 28:56through there,
- 28:58>> someone will get a hundred. Someone will
- 29:00get 200. Someone will whatever the
- 29:01numbers are in between the breakdowns.
- 29:03There will be some bigger numbers than
- 29:05just $15, but it's free money. Head down
- 29:07there.
- 29:08>> I'm told the average prize or the most
- 29:10most aware prize will be 25.
- 29:11>> 25, right?
- 29:12>> But there is there legitimately will be
- 29:14a chance to get that,000. I'm looking to
- 29:15see your first DJ Nation member.
- 29:18>> Let us know whoever it is. If you get
- 29:20the thousand, absolutely let us know. We
- 29:22don't we don't have to say your name,
- 29:23but we just want to know that it
- 29:24happened.
- 29:24>> Yeah, that'll be very cool. All right.
- 29:27Other really cool news.
- 29:28>> Yes. I like seeing stuff like this.
- 29:30>> This is cool for us.
- 29:32>> The Plaza has announced their live
- 29:33streaming tables. Uh MGM also has a uh
- 29:36something going on. We'll talk about
- 29:37that in a second as well. But these
- 29:39companies are starting to come around
- 29:41>> to things happening in their building.
- 29:44Yes.
- 29:44>> And that happening then simultaneously
- 29:46on the internet.
- 29:46>> Yeah. And bringing people Yeah. That is
- 29:49what we like today
- 29:50>> for us in our industry. Obviously great
- 29:52news.
- 29:53>> MGM is over the top with this. But let
- 29:56me just get through the plaza part
- 29:57first. So, the non-smoking room that
- 30:00used to be the Brian Christopher room,
- 30:02>> right?
- 30:02>> And for people that were, you know, had
- 30:04all this hearsay about Brian
- 30:06Christopher's relationship with the
- 30:07plaza falling out, da da da, he just did
- 30:08his big birthday bash there. They're
- 30:10fine, folks. It just it wasn't it wasn't
- 30:12working for that room. So, don't just
- 30:14start making things up.
- 30:15>> We did go in there a couple times and it
- 30:16was slow, but I think this might help
- 30:18it. Actually, I think this could really
- 30:20help that room.
- 30:20>> So, there uh this is a little bit
- 30:22different than what we do. you'll be a a
- 30:24patron going in there to play blackjack
- 30:27or or roulette
- 30:28>> and the plaza is going to have their own
- 30:31channel. So, the casinos are getting
- 30:32into social media now,
- 30:34>> which
- 30:35>> you know, it's like what are you doing
- 30:36coming on our turf,
- 30:37>> right? Well,
- 30:38>> but I actually don't think of it that
- 30:39way. I'm very very happy that they're
- 30:41doing this. You know, Hustler's been
- 30:43doing this in poker for a while now and
- 30:45it just helps all the other streamers. I
- 30:46think that a rising time
- 30:48>> uh raises all ships. Yeah.
- 30:50>> So, uh really really good news, I think.
- 30:53And so they're going to have the Plaza
- 30:54streaming thing that'll go out on their
- 30:57channel starting here, I think
- 30:58immediately on the weekends. So go
- 31:00subscribe to the Plaza. Go watch people
- 31:02play there.
- 31:03>> Casino Network.
- 31:04>> Las Vegas Casino Network is what they're
- 31:06calling that. That's an interesting name
- 31:08to the channel. Then MGM at Park MGM has
- 31:12made a room
- 31:14>> just for people like us to go in there
- 31:16and play whatever game they want.
- 31:18>> This is freaking amazing.
- 31:18>> It is a $100 minimum. So it's not like
- 31:20you can just go in there and play $5
- 31:22bets. No matter what your channel is,
- 31:24it's a $100 minimum. So, it makes
- 31:26>> And they don't care about what size
- 31:27channel you are. No. Which is the thing
- 31:28that I'm really happy about.
- 31:29>> You can have 1,000 subscribers. You can
- 31:31go in there. You have to book it. Yeah.
- 31:33>> And if you give them 24-hour notice,
- 31:35they'll put whatever table game you want
- 31:37in there.
- 31:38>> They don't have slots in there yet.
- 31:39>> Well, the guy last night said,
- 31:41>> he said last night they can they can
- 31:44make things happen. So, you just have to
- 31:45get with them, talk to them about it,
- 31:47tell them what you want to do. This is
- 31:49Vegas. If in Vegas, if you're willing to
- 31:53spend the money, they're willing to
- 31:55accommodate. I
- 31:56>> mean,
- 31:56>> we've learned this.
- 31:57>> I'm excited that there was a team of
- 32:00people down there.
- 32:01>> This is not like some fly by night
- 32:02operation. They taken a whole room off
- 32:04the high limit
- 32:06>> uh room, not the slots, but the the
- 32:09table games room because they have two
- 32:10different rooms at Park MGM. So, they
- 32:12have this whole enclave in there that
- 32:14fits three tables
- 32:14>> and it's quiet.
- 32:15>> It's quiet. So, for streamers, it's
- 32:17perfect. They'll turn the music down.
- 32:18Uh, and that's actually where we met
- 32:19Abby Poker last night. She was in there
- 32:21talking. So again, go go go check her
- 32:22channel out. She's got Abby Gambles now.
- 32:24So if you want to watch some gambling
- 32:26stuff, she's going to do that. Super
- 32:27nice girl. And
- 32:28>> we met we met the director.
- 32:31>> Yeah. And they're like, they were super
- 32:33excited. They didn't know who we were.
- 32:35They're like,
- 32:35>> they wanted us to book right there.
- 32:36They're like, "What do you want? Give us
- 32:37a date. We'll do it. Let's do it."
- 32:38>> So I got the guys info. We're probably
- 32:40going to do something. They have a a
- 32:42free promotion on there. We're not gonna
- 32:44Did he confirm the $100 minimum
- 32:47>> or was that
- 32:47>> Yeah, he that's what he told me. Minimum
- 32:49bet in there is $100. Okay.
- 32:51>> I don't know if on the roulette table
- 32:52that means a h 100red per spin spread
- 32:54out, but like a hand of blackjack was
- 32:56$100.
- 32:57>> Yeah. Typically on uh on roulette that
- 32:59means $100 total on the outside or $100
- 33:02total on the inside. So you can bet
- 33:04>> $10 on on 10 numbers.
- 33:06>> 10 numbers. Yeah.
- 33:07>> Uh and Abby was that's what she was
- 33:08doing in there and her exact words were
- 33:10>> I got torched playing. I'm sorry to hear
- 33:13that sometimes. That's
- 33:14>> Did you check and see if was a single
- 33:15zero in there?
- 33:16>> I didn't I did not check that out.
- 33:18>> Yeah, we might have a picture of it. The
- 33:20table.
- 33:20>> We'll go take a look at that. But
- 33:22>> uh again, exciting times.
- 33:23>> Yes.
- 33:24>> I don't know.
- 33:25>> Oh, by the way, Parkin Gym has all their
- 33:28cameras set up,
- 33:29>> but they will actually give you the
- 33:31footage so that you can take it home.
- 33:33>> Yeah.
- 33:34>> You don't have to live stream it right
- 33:35there while you're doing it.
- 33:37>> Um you can take the footage home
- 33:39>> and edit it however you want. They he
- 33:42did say they do ask that you say thank
- 33:44you to Park NGM, which is not hard to
- 33:47do.
- 33:47>> It's it's a compliance thing. He was
- 33:48telling me like kind of the inside
- 33:50baseball stuff with this. I hope he
- 33:51doesn't mind that I'm talking about
- 33:52this. [music] But
- 33:54>> in order for the casino to officially
- 33:55put it on, it has to be their
- 33:58>> thing. And so like from a legal
- 33:59perspective, like they're filming it,
- 34:01it's their footage, but they're giving
- 34:02it to you,
- 34:03>> right?
- 34:03>> And like they use their phone to film
- 34:05it,
- 34:05>> right?
- 34:06>> But their compliance is,
- 34:08>> hey, just give us a shout out. Don't say
- 34:09that this place is the worst place
- 34:11you've ever gambled in your life. Just
- 34:12say thank you to Parkm and get to
- 34:15mention where you're at. This is a uh
- 34:17Nevada Gaming Control Board. We do that
- 34:19all the time.
- 34:20>> It's It's weird. So,
- 34:21>> right now we're at Station's Casino
- 34:22right now at the Green Valley.
- 34:23>> Thank you Station Casinos for us.
- 34:25>> They let us do this. Yes.
- 34:26>> And we play here all the time. So, we've
- 34:29had a great relationship here.
- 34:30>> Absolutely. What I was going to just say
- 34:32real quick, last thing on this without
- 34:33uh going too deep into this. I'm excited
- 34:36to see a company like MGM. Yeah. You
- 34:39know, here is a very large corporation
- 34:41that has properties all over the world,
- 34:43you know, one of the premier gaming
- 34:45operations in the world.
- 34:47>> All of sudden, you're seeing them really
- 34:50adopting this online stuff, which I
- 34:52getting into this, one of the things
- 34:53Ryan and I talked about, I thought, you
- 34:56know, the two biggest risks that we had
- 34:58>> doing this channel or a YouTube having
- 35:01second thoughts about having gaming
- 35:02content.
- 35:03>> Yeah. you know, when they uh in March,
- 35:05you know, so 3 months after we had
- 35:07launched doing this, they put out an
- 35:09official policy, which can change any
- 35:12time, right? But at least they have an
- 35:13official policy right now of what we're
- 35:15doing is explicitly
- 35:17>> allowed. So I'm like, that's good. Like
- 35:20seeing that and then seeing MGM, you
- 35:22know, again, who you because Resorts
- 35:24World did this like you can do it, but
- 35:25you can't. So that stuff makes me
- 35:27nervous. But
- 35:28>> when a company like MGM makes a
- 35:30commitment to doing this,
- 35:31>> yes,
- 35:31>> they're really in. That's That's the way
- 35:33it looks. I'm just hoping that they
- 35:35don't
- 35:36>> do this for six months and then say the
- 35:38only way you're allowed to film is if
- 35:39you use our room.
- 35:41>> That's the next hurdle.
- 35:42>> That would be bad.
- 35:44>> Yeah. Yeah.
- 35:44>> Well, for right now, that is how it is
- 35:45with table games.
- 35:46>> Yeah. With most places
- 35:48>> for MGM,
- 35:49>> MGM does not let cuz like I was talking
- 35:50to DQ about this. They do not let you
- 35:52film table games in the pit. Like no
- 35:54matter who you,
- 35:55>> right? You have to have a a private room
- 35:57or whatever like Vegas Matt does.
- 35:59>> Yeah. Something along those lines that
- 36:00you can get. But this streaming room,
- 36:02you'll be able to do it. Yeah.
- 36:04>> There. No problem. As long as you
- 36:05reserve it. Now, obviously, it might get
- 36:07popular and it might raise the bar for
- 36:09like, it doesn't matter who you are.
- 36:10Maybe you got to have 10,000, 50,000,
- 36:12100,000 subscribers
- 36:13>> or, you know, 10,000, 20,000, $100,000.
- 36:16Who knows? Who knows?
- 36:17>> We don't have either one of those
- 36:18things.
- 36:19>> No, we don't have 50,000. We'll get that
- 36:21one. This is like the YouTube uh
- 36:23monetization algorithm. We, you know, we
- 36:25got one thing, but not the other. We
- 36:27don't have,00. We get there, we get
- 36:28there, we get there. We also don't do a
- 36:30lot of table games or really any table
- 36:32games anymore on our channel. So,
- 36:34>> all right, to wrap things up,
- 36:36>> everything that comes in Vegas must go
- 36:38in Vegas.
- 36:39>> Is happening
- 36:39>> east side Canary March 5th.
- 36:41>> If you like watching things blow up,
- 36:43>> I uh I'd like to go down there and do
- 36:45this and watch our friends John and
- 36:47Christina from Vegas Advantage. We'll
- 36:49certainly have footage about this. We'll
- 36:50put a link to their site. Yeah.
- 36:52>> Uh and they might even have some footage
- 36:53next week that we that let us borrow and
- 36:54throw in this podcast. I don't want to
- 36:56get too close when they do this and get
- 36:58hit by a rock or something.
- 36:59>> I don't want to inhale the
- 37:01>> dust the asbestous.
- 37:02>> Yeah,
- 37:03>> that building's newer than that. I think
- 37:05>> that building's not that old. I'm
- 37:06surprised they're employing there, but I
- 37:08think,
- 37:09>> you know, when things when the business
- 37:10is that bad out there, what do you do?
- 37:12You can't let it sit empty forever. So,
- 37:14>> I uh now realize that one of the things
- 37:16that would have been good to have on the
- 37:18uh agenda here, the script would be What
- 37:20year was that building built?
- 37:22>> It really wasn't that long ago. Maybe
- 37:242000. You think it's that new?
- 37:26>> Yeah, I do.
- 37:27>> It's a 26 year old building coming down.
- 37:29>> It's so
- 37:31>> It's really not that old.
- 37:32>> He thinks it's newer than that.
- 37:32>> I think it's newer than that. I do.
- 37:34>> They have a sink hole under it. Why do
- 37:35they
- 37:36>> I think they built it after I moved here
- 37:37and I moved here in 2005.
- 37:39>> Wow. What do you think's going to go
- 37:41there?
- 37:41>> Uh probably a neighborhood.
- 37:43>> Yeah,
- 37:43>> probably. Yeah, that's seems to be on
- 37:46that side of town. Any land that size,
- 37:49they put a neighborhood in.
- 37:51>> Like Dr. or Horton or someone will buy
- 37:53it and
- 37:54>> okay
- 37:54>> and they'll just throw up.
- 37:56>> Be interesting is like the demand in
- 37:57this area like there's there's the other
- 37:59casino that station went out there also
- 38:02is coming coming down or they they
- 38:04converted it. What was the
- 38:05>> which one?
- 38:06>> What's Boulder? No
- 38:08>> the other that they're turning it into a
- 38:10park or whatever. Where where is this
- 38:12Canary thing? I actually maybe on
- 38:13Boulder Highway.
- 38:14>> Yeah, it's on Boulder Highway. So
- 38:15>> Oh, there the
- 38:18um
- 38:19>> what was the other thing? Well, the
- 38:20other one that you're talking about um
- 38:22No, not uh
- 38:23>> they they tore the building down, but
- 38:24they left the parking garage.
- 38:26>> Oh, that was Fiesta. Fiesta. Yes.
- 38:28>> But this isn't that
- 38:28>> they are turning. No. Uh
- 38:30>> like I mean like
- 38:31>> it's not close,
- 38:32>> but it's like in the same kind of
- 38:33corridor.
- 38:33>> It's probably 5 miles at least away.
- 38:35>> Okay. So, it's in the same
- 38:37>> But Fiesta, yes, they are supposed to
- 38:39put like a skate park and a and a big
- 38:41park, which is weird.
- 38:42>> I think it's going to happen here.
- 38:44>> There's one right across the street or
- 38:45the highway. On the other side of the
- 38:46highway, there's a massive park. They're
- 38:48going to put another park. Well, I think
- 38:49it makes it's a good spot cuz it's kind
- 38:50of loud there from the highway and
- 38:51everything. So, like having using it as
- 38:53a park area, but what I'm thinking like,
- 38:54you know, they they tear down the
- 38:55canery. They they're going to turn this
- 38:57uh the Fiesta into a into a park.
- 38:59They're building that area out more and
- 39:00more. They're going to put more more
- 39:01>> home. Joker's Wild, we talked about it.
- 39:03>> There'll be more demand for more
- 39:04casinos.
- 39:04>> Yeah. Joker's Wild is right down the
- 39:06street also,
- 39:06>> which they're redoing.
- 39:07>> And they're redoing that one. They're
- 39:08not blowing it up. They're not turning
- 39:09it down. Yeah, we talked about that.
- 39:10>> Who knows what's going to happen, but
- 39:12yeah, maybe a neighborhood, which uh if
- 39:14you want to move to Vegas, uh reach out.
- 39:16We we know a realtor. We do.
- 39:17>> And uh you can move into one one of
- 39:19those homes and then visit one of these
- 39:20new casinos.
- 39:21>> And if you really want to move close, my
- 39:24neighbor's selling his house, so you can
- 39:25meet my neighbor.
- 39:26>> There you go. My neighbor.
- 39:28>> All right, that's about it for this
- 39:29week. We appreciate you all hanging out.
- 39:31Uh we we got a little bit more of a
- 39:33media episode this week. There was a lot
- 39:34a lot going on.
