- 0:48Speaker 5: bed look Austellian.
- 0:51Speaker 4: How's life man? How are you going?
- 0:52Speaker 1: Mate?
- 0:53Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm pretty grassy. You're mad Dog your six son
- 0:55Speaker 7: of a bee look a little bit under the weather
- 0:58Speaker 7: at the back of the live show that we did
- 1:00Speaker 7: down here at Parrot Dog and Lowell Bayn't that been
- 1:04Speaker 7: quite a long one for me? A big evening, first
- 1:06Speaker 7: time I've stuck one out, and I'm battling a few
- 1:09Speaker 7: demons today. I was trying to think of some way
- 1:13Speaker 7: to be able to get out of it, but really
- 1:14Speaker 7: I can't I'm just going to be battling them until
- 1:17Speaker 7: I go to sleep again.
- 1:19Speaker 4: Oh god, I know that so very well, Keezy man.
- 1:24Speaker 4: But we've met a good morning. We've had such a
- 1:27Speaker 4: good morning, Oh my god.
- 1:28Speaker 6: Because I still people asking what's up with Keesy's voice.
- 1:31Speaker 6: I don't know. The last couple of days, my voice.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Is just gone, but now it's hangover.
- 1:35Speaker 6: But now it's hanging and I actually think my voice
- 1:37Speaker 6: feels better today than it did yesterday. But I'm hungover,
- 1:41Speaker 6: responsibly hungover. Yeah, it was a great night last night.
- 1:44Speaker 6: The well Antonians really came out and switched it on
- 1:46Speaker 6: for us. The only one who's not hungover is Jase,
- 1:48Speaker 6: and he's decided to put all his energy into being annoying.
- 1:52Speaker 6: But we'll be getting into that maybe next in the show,
- 1:54Speaker 6: because we do need to just figure something out here
- 1:56Speaker 6: because he is being a pain in the ass.
- 2:00Speaker 5: Is quite the accusation, Keasy. I've just been trying to,
- 2:03Speaker 5: you know, pick the fele Zappa and maybe your voice
- 2:07Speaker 5: is sounding a bit better today after your little shooter
- 2:10Speaker 5: last night, you know, the chili shooter.
- 2:12Speaker 6: Oh yeah's right, I lost the throbber. There won't be
- 2:14Speaker 6: a throbber today. Because we did it yesterday with the
- 2:16Speaker 6: live show. I lost and as a result had to
- 2:17Speaker 6: do a shot of Kaitia fire hot sauce. Yeah, and
- 2:21Speaker 6: it actually ruined my night because it stopped me from drinking. Yeah,
- 2:24Speaker 6: every time I had a sip of beer, I would
- 2:26Speaker 6: do make me burp and then I would taste hot
- 2:28Speaker 6: sauce and it just ruined everything. But Jason loved it,
- 2:33Speaker 6: so that's good.
- 2:35Speaker 8: Hey, it's frowned out Shy day as well, So send
- 2:40Speaker 8: you a shout out on three four eight three and
- 2:42Speaker 8: it's kick off with a bit of red hot chili.
- 2:46Speaker 2: The Hdichy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio.
- 2:49Speaker 5: Hodke lead Zeppelin there on the radio ho Donkey Big Show,
- 2:53Speaker 5: This beautiful Friday afternoon. And just to let you know,
- 2:55Speaker 5: I don't know that we did in the opening there,
- 2:57Speaker 5: feelers were actually broadcasting from Wellington today and it's absolutely stunning.
- 3:02Speaker 5: We're a beautiful little studio overlooking all the hills here.
- 3:05Speaker 4: It's just stunning stuff.
- 3:06Speaker 7: It really is beautiful. And we've got some paraphernalia on
- 3:09Speaker 7: the walls, don't we.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Kids.
- 3:10Speaker 7: You've been frothing it. You're a radio freak, you're a
- 3:12Speaker 7: fan of the radio from back in the day. And
- 3:14Speaker 7: there's pictures there of Grant Kittyama, Polly Gillespie and Nick Tansley,
- 3:19Speaker 7: Jason Yes, and then doing the bread so they were
- 3:22Speaker 7: doing drive i'd imagine then.
- 3:24Speaker 1: And then in the breakfast slot was Paul Holmes.
- 3:26Speaker 4: Paul Home.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Now this other fella on the right, I'm not too sure.
- 3:29Speaker 7: I've got a name that's going around my head, but
- 3:30Speaker 7: I'm not one hundred percent sure who the old fellow
- 3:32Speaker 7: is with his mouth open, but he obviously did evenings there. God,
- 3:36Speaker 7: what it is to be a part of history here
- 3:39Speaker 7: in this Wellington studio.
- 3:41Speaker 4: You do feel it, you know what I mean?
- 3:43Speaker 5: Because I'll be honest, we weren't massively enthusiastic today.
- 3:47Speaker 4: That's just being honest. And then I come in and
- 3:50Speaker 4: I see broadcasting legends like that Mogi, and.
- 3:53Speaker 5: I feel a certain you know, I've got to commit here,
- 3:58Speaker 5: have a bit of passion.
- 3:59Speaker 7: I often say to myself in times you know these, well,
- 4:02Speaker 7: you know, look at some professional of us to be
- 4:03Speaker 7: coming in here with a hangover.
- 4:04Speaker 1: I think to myself, what would Polly do?
- 4:06Speaker 5: Yeah, well that's that's that's right.
- 4:10Speaker 4: What would Holmes do in a situation?
- 4:12Speaker 6: I don't know about Paul Home, but certainly what about
- 4:14Speaker 6: Nick Tinsley?
- 4:15Speaker 4: What would you do this situation?
- 4:18Speaker 6: So when you think like that, what what do you
- 4:20Speaker 6: what conclusion?
- 4:20Speaker 7: Do you get a knuckle down, you get on with it,
- 4:22Speaker 7: causing you to deliver a top rating radio DJ show.
- 4:25Speaker 6: Radio DJ show.
- 4:27Speaker 4: Totally.
- 4:28Speaker 6: But it was a huge night last night at Paradog.
- 4:30Speaker 6: We've had a great time and we are now in
- 4:32Speaker 6: the Wellington studio running on fumes.
- 4:36Speaker 7: I'd say, you're you're just about out. I'm sort of
- 4:39Speaker 7: the editude you know. You guys of course have got
- 4:42Speaker 7: a late trip home tonight.
- 4:44Speaker 4: We're really stoked.
- 4:47Speaker 7: Sticking around. I'm sticking around Wellington, so I think it's
- 4:49Speaker 7: just about time for me to get back on the horse.
- 4:51Speaker 1: There.
- 4:52Speaker 7: You've got a bit of socializing to do later in
- 4:53Speaker 7: the evening, so I'll be okay, I'll be okay.
- 4:56Speaker 5: I think there's nothing like getting back on the horse,
- 5:00Speaker 5: get rid of the demons.
- 5:01Speaker 1: Well, that's the thing, and then.
- 5:02Speaker 4: Just create some more for yourself for the next day.
- 5:05Speaker 7: And then I'm getting picked up by my mate and
- 5:06Speaker 7: going up the coast. Yes, right tomorrow where it's just
- 5:09Speaker 7: going to be demon central, right, Can.
- 5:11Speaker 4: I just I was saying to I mean, what's Monday
- 5:15Speaker 4: Mogi going to be?
- 5:16Speaker 6: Like?
- 5:16Speaker 5: Do you think is because I'm anticipating a very big
- 5:19Speaker 5: weekend here for Mogi.
- 5:21Speaker 7: Yeah, look, I it really does depend on what time
- 5:26Speaker 7: I go to sleep on that Saturday night there. That's
- 5:28Speaker 7: that's the concern. What my aimers is to start early,
- 5:33Speaker 7: finish early. Yes, that's my aim. However, the mates will
- 5:36Speaker 7: be with they are definitely night ours right, which is
- 5:39Speaker 7: going to make things tricky for old Mogie.
- 5:41Speaker 6: I've got a question here about getting back on the horse.
- 5:43Speaker 6: How many times can you get back on the horse.
- 5:45Speaker 7: Well, it'll be I'll be getting back on the horse
- 5:48Speaker 7: tonight and then I'll be kicked off at tomorrow morning
- 5:51Speaker 7: when I wake off, Oh it's so good. And then
- 5:53Speaker 7: by lunchtime I'll be back on another horse. So you
- 5:56Speaker 7: switch horses. It'll be the same horse horse. Yeah, but
- 6:00Speaker 7: the horses getting slower and yeah, yeah, it's a disgraceful horse.
- 6:04Speaker 7: It's be taking out the back with a shotgun there.
- 6:08Speaker 7: But yeah, I don't know how next week's going to be.
- 6:10Speaker 7: But I'm on the wagon for a while after this weekend,
- 6:13Speaker 7: so I'm just I'm just.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Going to get a monkst Wait, so you're on the
- 6:16Speaker 1: horse this weekend, and.
- 6:19Speaker 7: That's right, I jump off the horse. Yeah, which is
- 6:22Speaker 7: pulling the wagon. The wagon's always.
- 6:24Speaker 6: There, so because also the other thing is at a
- 6:26Speaker 6: certain point people see you on this old horse and man,
- 6:30Speaker 6: why are you on the horse?
- 6:31Speaker 4: Yeah, you're right, I'll get on the wagon.
- 6:33Speaker 6: It's embarrassing on the wagon. Yeah, right, Okay.
- 6:35Speaker 5: My horse is just sort of you know, it's it's
- 6:38Speaker 5: this bloated beast in a paddock somewhere just out the
- 6:42Speaker 5: far back of the farm with a kind.
- 6:44Speaker 4: Of semi why does it have a s just because
- 6:48Speaker 4: it's not a deliberate thing.
- 6:49Speaker 6: It's just come on, man, it's just.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Is this audio slate the hold Akee Big Show with Jason,
- 6:58Speaker 2: Mike and Kezy tune in weekday said four on Radio Hodarchy.
- 7:01Speaker 5: The Killer's there on the Radio Hoy Big Show this
- 7:05Speaker 5: Friday afternoon.
- 7:06Speaker 6: Hey, Mogi, you haven't really had to deal much with
- 7:10Speaker 6: Hoidy J.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Today.
- 7:12Speaker 6: You've been sort of in your hotel room. You came
- 7:14Speaker 6: to be a vana with us and that was fine,
- 7:15Speaker 6: But a large portion of the day has been me
- 7:19Speaker 6: Hoidy J. And Dilly, our social guy and I've just
- 7:23Speaker 6: noticed that Jace is being possibly the most annoying he's
- 7:26Speaker 6: ever been. And it's little things like, for example, yesterday,
- 7:32Speaker 6: to help with my voice, Jace gave me three throaties.
- 7:34Speaker 1: You're sounding good man, you're sounding hot keys.
- 7:36Speaker 4: Thank you, You're looking really good despite how.
- 7:39Speaker 6: This is what I'm talking about. Nah, So Jacey gave
- 7:42Speaker 6: me three throaties, right is here, Kezy? Have these few
- 7:44Speaker 6: voices like thanks mate. So this morning I went and
- 7:46Speaker 6: bought a fresh packet of throaties and I said, Jace,
- 7:49Speaker 6: I've got some brand new throaties now, so if you
- 7:51Speaker 6: need some sweet airs, and he goes, harden up, Keezy,
- 7:55Speaker 6: and I was like, okay, this is Jason's being stupid.
- 7:58Speaker 6: And then I pulled out a packet of fishermen's friends
- 8:00Speaker 6: and he goes, those aren't thrown he as a fisherman's friends.
- 8:02Speaker 6: I was like, I know, I got both, and he's
- 8:06Speaker 6: like rolls his eyes. I put it back in my pocket.
- 8:08Speaker 6: I have one, and then he goes here, give me
- 8:10Speaker 6: a fisherman's friend and then just like hand holds his
- 8:12Speaker 6: hand out and I'm like say please, He's like no,
- 8:15Speaker 6: if up, and then I do give him a fisherman's friend,
- 8:19Speaker 6: and he goes, ugh, I like the aniseed ones.
- 8:22Speaker 4: What's wrong with that?
- 8:23Speaker 1: But I was like, they didn't have.
- 8:24Speaker 6: The aniseed ones. And it's just that has been what
- 8:27Speaker 6: it's been like all day.
- 8:29Speaker 5: The problem is, MORGI is that I've been up quite early,
- 8:33Speaker 5: had a beautiful buffet breakfast.
- 8:34Speaker 4: Oh yes, yeah, very good.
- 8:36Speaker 5: And Keezy he got up a couple of hours later
- 8:39Speaker 5: to do his buffet.
- 8:41Speaker 4: They didn't know who he was.
- 8:42Speaker 5: There was no recording of him, say he was Efan
- 8:45Speaker 5: and Jeff and on the chat there.
- 8:47Speaker 4: So I had to come down and sort it out.
- 8:49Speaker 6: Did you all come down and sort it out to
- 8:51Speaker 6: the staff, because that's something you do.
- 8:54Speaker 5: And then Keezy was feeling a bit nauseous, so he
- 8:56Speaker 5: didn't really eat a lot, so I was having to
- 8:59Speaker 5: encourage and to eat. How are you doing that again
- 9:03Speaker 5: just by piling up your plate with food and.
- 9:05Speaker 6: Then sitting behind me going, Keys, this is all bullshit.
- 9:09Speaker 4: By the way, Look, I'm just in a good note.
- 9:12Speaker 5: Yes, And I think Keys, he's not feeling great, you know,
- 9:15Speaker 5: he's responsibly hungover.
- 9:17Speaker 4: Yeah, and he's just he's over.
- 9:19Speaker 7: Reacting, that's right, And I think that's you know, you
- 9:21Speaker 7: just you rub him up the wrong way. And it's
- 9:23Speaker 7: easy to do, isn't it. I've thoroughly enjoyed Jason's company today.
- 9:27Speaker 7: I've enjoyed him been an absolute pierst and amuses me.
- 9:30Speaker 4: Thanks man.
- 9:30Speaker 7: But it drives you up the wall, especially when you hungover,
- 9:34Speaker 7: if you find it difficult anyway, because you're like today
- 9:36Speaker 7: we're also were at Beavana and Jason was looking at
- 9:39Speaker 7: the woman's toilet and deciding whether he's going to go
- 9:42Speaker 7: into the woman's toilet.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Yeah, And then you were like, for your sake, Jace,
- 9:46Speaker 1: there's a men's toilet right over here.
- 9:50Speaker 7: You just cannot help yourself from trying to solve his problems.
- 9:54Speaker 1: And that is the problem. You care too much.
- 9:57Speaker 6: I used to not will honestly. Today I was watching
- 10:02Speaker 6: I was like, look, Jase hasn't even looked at the
- 10:03Speaker 6: woman's side. He's just seen a toilet and I'm gonna
- 10:06Speaker 6: go in there and go wheez. And I was just like, fine,
- 10:07Speaker 6: go into the woman's toilet, then see if I.
- 10:09Speaker 5: Get In my defense New Zealand, there were two toilets
- 10:12Speaker 5: side by side, and I thought one's the woman's ones,
- 10:15Speaker 5: the memes. But they were both women's toilet, that's right,
- 10:18Speaker 5: and there were two entrances.
- 10:19Speaker 6: To the same toilet. And the other thing that's annoying
- 10:21Speaker 6: is Jase keeps going, Oh, well, we'll just go to
- 10:23Speaker 6: the airport and chilling the lounge, and I'm like, cool,
- 10:26Speaker 6: who's the one signing you into the lounge.
- 10:31Speaker 5: That'll be fun though, because we've got five hours to
- 10:33Speaker 5: kill Keysy before we get our flight home.
- 10:35Speaker 4: Jesus, it's going to be neat mogie. We'll keep you
- 10:38Speaker 4: updated on the chat about how old Kezy and Winny
- 10:41Speaker 4: Jay go.
- 10:41Speaker 1: The midnight flight home. Mahe he how good?
- 10:44Speaker 2: The Hchy Big Show was Jace, Mike and Key.
- 10:48Speaker 5: Tune in on Radio Metellica there on the Radio Hodarchy
- 10:53Speaker 5: Big Show this Friday afternoon. Great to have your company
- 10:57Speaker 5: wherever you are in this great country of ours.
- 10:59Speaker 6: By the way, I was recently in Europe and while
- 11:03Speaker 6: I was there, an amazing concert happened. It was the
- 11:06Speaker 6: Full Middal Full Metal Orchestra in Auckland. Right, and you
- 11:09Speaker 6: went along with your lovely wife, Yes, I who's a
- 11:11Speaker 6: bit of an odd fish, but you guys enjoyed it, right,
- 11:13Speaker 6: You had a good time, but I.
- 11:14Speaker 5: Wouldn't say she was an odd fish, but she's pretty
- 11:18Speaker 5: do you know, down the sheep, straightforward kind of human being.
- 11:21Speaker 4: Really, I wouldn't call her.
- 11:22Speaker 6: Yeah, you're right, she's base, Okay, Well, I wouldn't say
- 11:24Speaker 6: basic like bog standard.
- 11:25Speaker 5: You know, she she's special, but she's just very very stable.
- 11:30Speaker 4: She's like she doesn't get flustered by hardy j ever vanilla?
- 11:35Speaker 6: Are you you described her as vanilla?
- 11:37Speaker 9: Certainly not vanilla anyway, You guys went to the Sulted Caramel.
- 11:42Speaker 6: You guys went to Full Middle Orchestra in Auckland thanks
- 11:46Speaker 6: to Minuka Fuel.
- 11:47Speaker 1: There a Manuka Fuel take you there?
- 11:50Speaker 6: Did they take you?
- 11:51Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 11:51Speaker 5: They picked us up in a mini van really Manuka Field.
- 11:55Speaker 5: Yeah yeah yeah in the Minuka Fuel mini van.
- 11:59Speaker 6: Far out. You had a good time though, No.
- 12:01Speaker 4: Seriously, it was brilliant.
- 12:04Speaker 5: All of the performers obviously were fantastic, and old Wat said, I.
- 12:09Speaker 6: Always forget an manny from Devil Skin.
- 12:11Speaker 4: Devil Skin. She was sensational.
- 12:14Speaker 6: E J.
- 12:14Speaker 4: Barnes of course, gen daughter sensational.
- 12:18Speaker 5: The fellow from Pluto, I've got Milan, and there's another
- 12:21Speaker 5: fellow from Wellington who was doing the ac DC tunes
- 12:25Speaker 5: who was next level. My only little criticism, and this
- 12:29Speaker 5: is serious, was there wasn't quite enough of the orchestra.
- 12:33Speaker 4: I thought they could have given them a bit more time.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Shine.
- 12:36Speaker 6: Well it was the first one ever, but overall it
- 12:39Speaker 6: was brilliant. Yeah, that's right. So if you don't know
- 12:41Speaker 6: what it is, it's basically a fusion of orchestral music
- 12:44Speaker 6: and rock. They play a whole lot of classic massive
- 12:47Speaker 6: tunes and everyone's heard of music from ACDC, Metallica, Tool Nirvana,
- 12:50Speaker 6: Guns and Roses and more. And they have heaps of
- 12:53Speaker 6: stars from across New Zealand coming to make it all happen. Really,
- 12:56Speaker 6: So you've got a CDC's Phil rud on the drums, yes,
- 12:59Speaker 6: John two and of course Jenny from Devilskin, e J Barnes,
- 13:03Speaker 6: Milan from Pludo, and they've decided to add James the
- 13:07Speaker 6: frontman from the Feelers and they are now taking this
- 13:10Speaker 6: to the South Island and they're doing a show in
- 13:12Speaker 6: christ Church, right okay, So it's going to be absolutely huge.
- 13:15Speaker 6: It's gonna be happening at Wolfbrook Arena, christ Church November one.
- 13:20Speaker 6: If you are keen, sign up for pre sales right now.
- 13:22Speaker 6: Full Metal Orchestra dot com because when the tickets stropp
- 13:25Speaker 6: you don't want to miss out.
- 13:25Speaker 5: Yeah, they did a Deftones tune as well, but funnily enough,
- 13:28Speaker 5: we ran into a couple of those backbones you said
- 13:30Speaker 5: at the airport though. They were doing a Pink Floyd special.
- 13:34Speaker 5: I think down here, but if you can get along
- 13:36Speaker 5: to it, do it. Yes, So goodnight Full Metal Orchestra
- 13:38Speaker 5: dot com. If you're into your your rock tunes and
- 13:41Speaker 5: a bit of orchestral stuff as well, sign up for
- 13:43Speaker 5: pre sales and do not miss out.
- 13:45Speaker 4: You're smashing duncans for Darchy.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Kisey.
- 13:55Speaker 9: I was zed an artist surf sure was far. I
- 13:58Speaker 9: haven't had the ages while man, Yeah, it has been
- 14:01Speaker 9: a while. You just went on a little break there
- 14:03Speaker 9: in between. Maggie, you're all good mate.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Yeah, I just went to the toilet.
- 14:06Speaker 4: Jason, Okay, you do a steamer, Maggie.
- 14:09Speaker 1: No, it wasn't really steaming.
- 14:11Speaker 6: Oh okaha, yeah, grows classic Maggie steamer.
- 14:17Speaker 4: Hey let's TV. Let's talk about a TV.
- 14:20Speaker 9: Okay, what's on the Telly with Mike Minogue?
- 14:29Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 14:39Speaker 7: Hey, when I was on the plane to Europe. I
- 14:43Speaker 7: watched a fair amount of stuff, to be fair, and
- 14:48Speaker 7: one of them was the man who definitely did not
- 14:51Speaker 7: Steal Hollywood. It was a documentary and there's about an
- 14:55Speaker 7: Italian fellow there and he owned a whole bunch of hotels,
- 14:59Speaker 7: et cetera, etcetera.
- 15:01Speaker 1: And he he heard a bet.
- 15:04Speaker 7: With a gentleman that he would buy MGM Studios back
- 15:07Speaker 7: in the eighties, in the early eighties, and he paid
- 15:09Speaker 7: one point one billion dollars for it, and then within
- 15:13Speaker 7: about six weeks to two months went bankrupt. She was
- 15:18Speaker 7: all over and it was quite interesting because it looked
- 15:20Speaker 7: into his background and how all his money had definitely
- 15:22Speaker 7: come from the mafia. Right, Yeah, so you're sort of
- 15:26Speaker 7: he's a very interesting fellow and a charismatic sort of
- 15:28Speaker 7: a journey went from being a dishwasher and then inexplicably
- 15:33Speaker 7: was worth billions of dollars. Yes, very hard to explain.
- 15:36Speaker 7: But what was with the g is good for the
- 15:38Speaker 7: old da plane ride there? Three stars, three busies. Worth
- 15:43Speaker 7: a watch if you find it, but not worth seeking
- 15:45Speaker 7: out if you know what I mean. Man, Right, Yeah,
- 15:48Speaker 7: if you're looking to watch it, it's on a plane to.
- 15:49Speaker 4: Do buy well, what did I got home to the
- 15:53Speaker 4: hot well, not home to the hotel?
- 15:55Speaker 7: Yeah, how you go man, because you're struggling to make
- 15:58Speaker 7: sense of it head on tails of it because it
- 15:59Speaker 7: didn't work?
- 16:00Speaker 1: How to turn the TV on? Could you?
- 16:01Speaker 6: Well?
- 16:01Speaker 4: Because it all required codes.
- 16:03Speaker 5: But then I went and went up to the fiella
- 16:05Speaker 5: there at the desk and said, I haven't got a
- 16:07Speaker 5: scanner on my phone. Man, how do I operate stuff?
- 16:10Speaker 5: And he said no, just push TV and I went okay,
- 16:13Speaker 5: and then Keezy coincidentally messaged me and said, just push TV.
- 16:18Speaker 5: So I pushed TV when I got in the room there,
- 16:20Speaker 5: and what should be on the movies?
- 16:23Speaker 4: Old Once We're Worriors? So I lay back in my.
- 16:28Speaker 5: Bed, I loosened my trousers, made sure my little rag
- 16:32Speaker 5: was on the side.
- 16:32Speaker 4: There.
- 16:34Speaker 5: Well, it is a brutal movie and Uncle Bully of course,
- 16:42Speaker 5: and the girl that plays Grace. I was reminded of
- 16:46Speaker 5: how awesome her performance was. It is a very heartbreaking,
- 16:50Speaker 5: somber distressing bit of theater.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Great movie. Five buzzies, yeah, I'd give it.
- 16:57Speaker 5: I'd give it four and a half buzzies out of
- 16:59Speaker 5: five out of five.
- 17:00Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, good stuff. When I got home. Last night
- 17:03Speaker 6: I watched another episode of the TV show Watching at
- 17:05Speaker 6: the Moment all on YouTube. As I mentioned UK comedy
- 17:08Speaker 6: from about ten or so years ago, people just do nothing.
- 17:11Speaker 6: It's about these garage mcs that are on a pirate
- 17:13Speaker 6: radio station. Very very funny. Highly recommend it. And then
- 17:16Speaker 6: I got served on Instagram that they are coming to
- 17:18Speaker 6: New Zealand, the boys from Corruptive and they're doing a
- 17:22Speaker 6: gig I think at the Coral Glenn or Coromandel on
- 17:25Speaker 6: the third of January. Wow, as part of a wider
- 17:28Speaker 6: group of people performing. And so watch this TV show
- 17:33Speaker 6: on YouTube. People just do nothing And then I think
- 17:36Speaker 6: I'm going to be away over that period. Otherwise, Yeah,
- 17:40Speaker 6: just in Europe again, man, because I'm rolling at it.
- 17:43Speaker 6: But I would absolutely love to go and see these
- 17:45Speaker 6: boys live because they are genuine garage EMCs and do
- 17:49Speaker 6: do all the mixing and stuff themselves. It would just
- 17:52Speaker 6: be brilliant to see them actually doing it. After watching
- 17:54Speaker 6: the TV show, highly recommend.
- 17:55Speaker 4: We should try and get on board.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Why don't we try and go?
- 17:58Speaker 4: Yeah, we should make it a we can do a
- 17:59Speaker 4: bit of show.
- 18:00Speaker 6: Too, Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, let's do that. I give
- 18:06Speaker 6: the show four busies out of five, very very watchable.
- 18:09Speaker 6: And the fact that the coverage to New Zealand, I reckon,
- 18:10Speaker 6: it's just awesome to have to check it out. Brilliant
- 18:12Speaker 6: people just do nothing on YouTube.
- 18:15Speaker 2: The Hdarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hodarkey.
- 18:19Speaker 5: Welcome back to the Radio Hodarchy Big Show, live from
- 18:24Speaker 5: the Wellington Studios this Friday afternoon. Listen up New Zealand
- 18:28Speaker 5: plenty coming up after five o'clock. We're going to be
- 18:30Speaker 5: speaking to the legend that is fran Cora. We've got
- 18:32Speaker 5: a bit of sports chap chat and who's the sports chat?
- 18:37Speaker 4: Old Old Mogi has another Mazer at the airport.
- 18:42Speaker 2: The Darky Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy. Tune
- 18:46Speaker 2: in weekdays at four on Radio hod Ike.
- 18:48Speaker 5: Welcome back to your massive bankbones. Hope your Friday's going
- 18:51Speaker 5: along tikety boo. You're listening to the Big Show, brought
- 18:54Speaker 5: to you by Reburger.
- 18:56Speaker 6: Crave Worthy street Food, freshly made with Reburger, what nothing,
- 19:03Speaker 6: Derek and Reburgers sweet airs with that's a good yeah hey.
- 19:07Speaker 5: And in all honesty, you remember last night when we
- 19:10Speaker 5: were talking about Reburger with the live audience, they went nuts.
- 19:13Speaker 1: They were loving it.
- 19:14Speaker 4: They loved the old Reburger here in Wellie.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Why would prompted straight into it?
- 19:18Speaker 4: Yes?
- 19:19Speaker 6: Is good, there is a Reburger here in Wellington. We
- 19:21Speaker 6: should check it out after the show, Jays because our
- 19:22Speaker 6: flight leaves at two am.
- 19:24Speaker 5: Yeah, I know, Well we need to get some ideas
- 19:26Speaker 5: from the punters. How are Keysy and I going to
- 19:29Speaker 5: kill the next five hours after the show while Maggie
- 19:32Speaker 5: goes back to bed?
- 19:33Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 19:34Speaker 7: Yeah, well I don't know if we're going back to
- 19:36Speaker 7: bed maybe for a couple of years, just to get
- 19:38Speaker 7: a bit of a recharge.
- 19:39Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, don't get you can jump back on that horse.
- 19:43Speaker 6: Yes, why don't you go to bed and have a
- 19:44Speaker 6: recharge and we'll go to Reburger and kill five hours
- 19:48Speaker 6: until our flight. Good? Good idea?
- 19:51Speaker 4: Hey, coming up a bit of sports chat.
- 19:53Speaker 2: The whole Key Big Show was Jason, Mike and Keyzy
- 19:57Speaker 2: tune in four on Radio.
- 20:00Speaker 5: Hole there on the Radio Hodarchy Big Show this Friday afternoon.
- 20:05Speaker 5: Obviously being in Wally, we had to fly down here,
- 20:07Speaker 5: didn't we fell as yet? And old May you had
- 20:10Speaker 5: another masera at the airport took us through it.
- 20:12Speaker 7: Mate, I disagree, I don't think it is a masa.
- 20:14Speaker 7: It's perfectly fine. I came, I came through the security
- 20:18Speaker 7: a little bit there, and there was there was no queue.
- 20:21Speaker 7: I love it when there's no queue. So come through there,
- 20:24Speaker 7: walk through, you know, put offload all my stuff into
- 20:26Speaker 7: the trays, their happy days, go through. And there was
- 20:30Speaker 7: about ten to fifteen people standing on the other side
- 20:34Speaker 7: with all of the trays backed up and nobody taking
- 20:38Speaker 7: any of.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Their stuff stuff off it. I couldn't work it out.
- 20:41Speaker 7: And then there was other people who are having their
- 20:43Speaker 7: bags looked at. I don't know what these people were thinking.
- 20:47Speaker 7: I think they thought that every single bag was going
- 20:49Speaker 7: to get checked. And they stood there without a word
- 20:51Speaker 7: of a life for ten minutes. And then somebody, one
- 20:53Speaker 7: of the people finally said whose bags are these?
- 20:55Speaker 1: And they oh, can we take them?
- 20:58Speaker 4: Oh my gosh.
- 20:58Speaker 6: Really these people are.
- 21:00Speaker 1: In their mid forties. It was annoying.
- 21:03Speaker 4: I smacked them.
- 21:04Speaker 7: Yeah anyway, and then they pulled one of my trays
- 21:08Speaker 7: to the side there, yes, And are there are concerned
- 21:11Speaker 7: that I had a lighter? You think they would have
- 21:14Speaker 7: gotten to the bottom of the lighter issue over all
- 21:16Speaker 7: these years, you know, yes, you know? So anyway, there's
- 21:18Speaker 7: a lighter. Yep, and that's the problem. And then you
- 21:21Speaker 7: talk to them they say, no, it's not a problem, So.
- 21:24Speaker 4: Why did you here? We're doing it happened to me
- 21:26Speaker 4: pretty much every time, that's right.
- 21:27Speaker 7: And so then I took all my stuff out of
- 21:29Speaker 7: the tray. I had to put my jacket back on,
- 21:31Speaker 7: my belt, back on my poor namu, all that sort
- 21:35Speaker 7: of stuff, and then I start heading off, having a
- 21:37Speaker 7: bit of a chit chat with some other.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Passengers there as well.
- 21:40Speaker 4: I was yes, and off I go.
- 21:41Speaker 7: And then somebody shouts out, oh, has anybody lost a watch?
- 21:45Speaker 7: I thought to myself, that'll be me. I looked down
- 21:47Speaker 7: at my wrist yet no watch on. So that's all good.
- 21:49Speaker 7: So go back and he goes, what brand is it?
- 21:51Speaker 7: I managed to guess that right, so that was pretty good.
- 21:54Speaker 7: Got my watch, then went up the escalator there and
- 21:58Speaker 7: got to the top of that and I got to
- 21:59Speaker 7: the Ah, my sonnies haven't got my Sonny's keezy.
- 22:05Speaker 1: Right, No, Sunny's men.
- 22:07Speaker 6: Oh wow.
- 22:09Speaker 7: So so I had to then go all the way
- 22:11Speaker 7: around and back down because it's only an up escalator there, right,
- 22:14Speaker 7: There's only an up, So I had to go all
- 22:15Speaker 7: the way round and down another escalator and then walk
- 22:19Speaker 7: back along and then asked him if they'd found any sunglasses,
- 22:21Speaker 7: and they had.
- 22:22Speaker 1: They said, yeah, mogi over here, brother.
- 22:26Speaker 7: And they don't know me from the radio or anything.
- 22:27Speaker 7: They know me from when I lose my stuff here. Yeah,
- 22:33Speaker 7: So I don't know. And to be honest with you,
- 22:34Speaker 7: I don't know quite how I manage it, because you
- 22:36Speaker 7: just empty the train until there's nothing left in it.
- 22:39Speaker 1: Generally, that's how it works.
- 22:40Speaker 6: That was the question was was it just all in
- 22:41Speaker 6: one train?
- 22:42Speaker 1: It was? That was yeah.
- 22:44Speaker 7: Yeah, So I grabbed my jacket and all the other
- 22:46Speaker 7: stuff out of it, and I don't know, I've just
- 22:47Speaker 7: sort of mus my mind must have just said that enough,
- 22:49Speaker 7: let's go.
- 22:50Speaker 4: Man.
- 22:51Speaker 5: Well it's interesting because for the first time and probably
- 22:53Speaker 5: about four years, I went through with no incidents because
- 22:57Speaker 5: usually have to take my shoes off, my shoes off
- 23:00Speaker 5: or you know, I've got like eight lighters in my bag,
- 23:04Speaker 5: that sort of thing, and I'm still just.
- 23:06Speaker 4: On the lighter front.
- 23:07Speaker 5: I don't I'm confused still, and it happens every time.
- 23:11Speaker 4: Do I take the lighter out of my bag or
- 23:13Speaker 4: do I leave it in my bag? Yeah, I still
- 23:16Speaker 4: don't know what did you do this time? I think
- 23:18Speaker 4: I left it in my bag. Well that was what
- 23:20Speaker 4: I did, and that was why they pulled me aside.
- 23:21Speaker 5: Well, yes, that's right, right, but they obviously missed my
- 23:24Speaker 5: lighter because they were so waylaid by Mogi's disasters they
- 23:29Speaker 5: didn't notice Haughty J's.
- 23:30Speaker 7: Yeah, but I mean it gave me something to do.
- 23:32Speaker 7: It killed nineteen or fifteen minutes, and I thought, geez, Kuzy,
- 23:36Speaker 7: love this man, I do love this. I do love it.
- 23:39Speaker 7: It is a bit of a conceding because it started
- 23:40Speaker 7: creeping into my life. It's not something that you've used
- 23:42Speaker 7: to happen, but now it seems to be standard proceedure.
- 23:44Speaker 6: Yeah, well this is the weird thing, right because back
- 23:46Speaker 6: like a couple of years ago, we go do a
- 23:48Speaker 6: live show and Taranaki or something, and Howdy J would
- 23:51Speaker 6: have to take his high top chucks off, which is
- 23:53Speaker 6: done up in a double knot, put them on the
- 23:55Speaker 6: tray which would go through the machine. It would come
- 23:57Speaker 6: out the other side of the tray would be upside
- 23:59Speaker 6: down and the shoes, the lacers got taggled up and
- 24:02Speaker 6: the rollers and it was just a complete and so
- 24:04Speaker 6: but now he's getting through and old Bogi is the one.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Yes, right, that's your turn soon, Kesy.
- 24:11Speaker 5: I feel like I've developed to such an extent I
- 24:14Speaker 5: could almost go to Europe.
- 24:16Speaker 6: Well, I don't know, man, I don't know. Hey, fellers
- 24:20Speaker 6: up next to do some sports chat after that friend
- 24:23Speaker 6: from Quarters coming in because they got a brand new
- 24:25Speaker 6: song of a brand new album.
- 24:26Speaker 4: How good?
- 24:27Speaker 6: How good?
- 24:28Speaker 2: The Hdarchy Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and
- 24:32Speaker 2: Kesey Biero Smith.
- 24:34Speaker 5: They're on the Radio Hodarchy Big Show this beautiful Friday
- 24:39Speaker 5: afternoon in Wellington City. Hey, a bit of sporting action
- 24:42Speaker 5: going on over the weekend there, Fellers, let's get into
- 24:44Speaker 5: a bit of sport chat.
- 24:55Speaker 6: Just joined us the Big Show. A little worse for
- 24:57Speaker 6: weird today but still really good though.
- 25:00Speaker 7: Airing man, we're blood good man. Well, there's a bunch
- 25:02Speaker 7: of sport on this weekend. We should probably start with
- 25:04Speaker 7: the Rugby Championship. That's the competition on everybody's lips the
- 25:10Speaker 7: second second week of it.
- 25:12Speaker 1: This weekend.
- 25:13Speaker 7: You've got South Africa up against Australia again after that
- 25:17Speaker 7: shock result last week. The Wallabies tipped them up, Yeah,
- 25:20Speaker 7: really went twenty two nil down and the South African's
- 25:24Speaker 7: remained scoreless for the rest of the game. I think
- 25:26Speaker 7: the Ossies pot on thirty eight, so that Sunday morning,
- 25:29Speaker 7: three ten, three ten am, JS, you're gonna be watching that.
- 25:32Speaker 4: Man, you totally made. I'll be up for it.
- 25:34Speaker 7: And then you can stay up because at ten past
- 25:36Speaker 7: nine Sunday morning, Argentina the the All Blacks. They would
- 25:41Speaker 7: be good to see them look a little bit sharp
- 25:43Speaker 7: and tighten up, maybe just simplify things a little bit.
- 25:45Speaker 5: Yeah, well, you know, one of the things. I'm expecting
- 25:49Speaker 5: Argentina to come back stronger. They were surprisingly vulnerable to
- 25:54Speaker 5: the rolling mall right, and we got two very simple
- 25:57Speaker 5: tries from the rolling mall so they'll obviously he lock
- 26:00Speaker 5: to sort of fix that up because usually they pride
- 26:02Speaker 5: themselves on their forwards, so that'll be a cracker as well.
- 26:06Speaker 4: Cracker cracker.
- 26:08Speaker 5: A bit of an NRL action of course, the Warriors
- 26:10Speaker 5: seven o'clock tomorrow, but before we get to the wars
- 26:14Speaker 5: who are taking on the Titans.
- 26:17Speaker 6: If you're into the NRL but not hugely and you
- 26:19Speaker 6: only watch the Wars, I recommend you watch both games
- 26:22Speaker 6: tonight because at eight o'clock it is the Panthers taking
- 26:25Speaker 6: on the Raiders. That is first place Raiders and I
- 26:28Speaker 6: believe fifth place Panthers. And then after that at ten
- 26:31Speaker 6: is Melbourne Storm taking on the Bulldogs. Essentially, these are
- 26:35Speaker 6: the four best teams in the NRL. The Wars are
- 26:39Speaker 6: in fourth place, but to be honest, they've probably they're
- 26:42Speaker 6: definitely not at the moment performing at a fourth place level.
- 26:45Speaker 6: These are the four best teams. I think these are
- 26:48Speaker 6: going to be the four teams that are gonna be
- 26:51Speaker 6: there or thereabouts up the top.
- 26:53Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:53Speaker 6: But I can't wait to get home from Unfortunately, our
- 26:55Speaker 6: flight doesn't leave till three AMJS. Yeah, so I'll be
- 26:58Speaker 6: at the airport watching both of these games eight o'clock
- 27:01Speaker 6: and ten o'clock tonight, and then of course watching the
- 27:04Speaker 6: last tomorrow seventhy take on the Titans. How you feeling
- 27:06Speaker 6: about that.
- 27:07Speaker 7: Game, Mogi, Ah, not great man, Yeah, I'll be honest
- 27:10Speaker 7: with you. I just think, well, when they're our bogie team,
- 27:12Speaker 7: they smoke us whenever they want. Last year it was
- 27:14Speaker 7: sixty six to six. Yeah, but they've got bloody good halves.
- 27:19Speaker 1: You've got You've got Kiaren Fouran there is it.
- 27:22Speaker 7: Jaden ken Cab was a gun and then they've just
- 27:24Speaker 7: got so much pace on the flanks and we just
- 27:27Speaker 7: don't have any of that.
- 27:28Speaker 1: We've got no, Yeah, I.
- 27:30Speaker 7: Can see they've got the ability to pile on points
- 27:32Speaker 7: and we we just were struggling our way through at
- 27:34Speaker 7: the moment. And look, we are riddled with injuries. There's
- 27:39Speaker 7: no blame being heaped on them at all by me,
- 27:41Speaker 7: but geez, yeah, I'm glad they're in the top eight.
- 27:45Speaker 7: We'll get a couple of finals games if we're lucky,
- 27:47Speaker 7: but yeah, there'll be about it a lot.
- 27:49Speaker 4: Is there any dish dish this weekend? Mate?
- 27:51Speaker 1: No USC that I'm aware of that.
- 27:53Speaker 7: We have one last week and that was USC three
- 27:55Speaker 7: nineteen and USC three twenty will be in another month
- 27:58Speaker 7: or so.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Good, so sweet.
- 27:59Speaker 6: All right, Well up there, fellas frand Carter coming in
- 28:02Speaker 6: from the band quarter. Legendary band hasn't released an album
- 28:04Speaker 6: and I.
- 28:05Speaker 4: Think it's like thirteen years in twenty twelve.
- 28:08Speaker 6: I think that's yes, and they've released a brand new one. Today.
- 28:11Speaker 6: We're going to be chatting to Frank Carder and also
- 28:13Speaker 6: debuting a brand new song off that album. That's up next, Beautiful.
- 28:17Speaker 2: The Hurdarchy Big show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and.
- 28:21Speaker 4: Kisy Yeah, welcome back.
- 28:23Speaker 5: Your massive backbones were very special guest on the show
- 28:26Speaker 5: this Friday afternoon.
- 28:28Speaker 4: He's a multi talented beast.
- 28:30Speaker 5: Not just music but all sorts of stuff and talking
- 28:34Speaker 5: about the man himself.
- 28:35Speaker 4: Francis cor A get a matehouse life.
- 28:37Speaker 3: Hey you awesome?
- 28:38Speaker 6: How are you guys?
- 28:38Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 28:39Speaker 4: Good? Thanks? Man? Love it wellie, I tell you what
- 28:43Speaker 4: ha Good's wellis? Well? Yeah, man, man, that's where we
- 28:48Speaker 4: are at the moment and we love it.
- 28:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:53Speaker 6: So god, can you guys stop banging on about Welli's
- 28:56Speaker 6: man was just.
- 28:56Speaker 4: So good man. We had a big night last night.
- 28:59Speaker 5: Francis and the fellas are feeling a bit squeamish today,
- 29:04Speaker 5: so you know it might be slightly painful this afternoon.
- 29:08Speaker 3: Oh well, don't well done, guys.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Good.
- 29:10Speaker 3: Isn't it proud of you?
- 29:11Speaker 6: You shouldn't encourage it kind of behavior, Francis, Hey, man,
- 29:15Speaker 6: so corder you guys getting back together and it's been
- 29:19Speaker 6: a long time since you guys have put out like
- 29:21Speaker 6: a full fledged album, right, So what's what sparked the comeback?
- 29:24Speaker 6: And you know what sparked all this?
- 29:26Speaker 3: Oh that's a good question. Man, just wanting to release
- 29:29Speaker 3: some some material and kind of just we're getting older now,
- 29:35Speaker 3: you know.
- 29:35Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, man, I do know.
- 29:39Speaker 3: But it's the kind of the stage of the career,
- 29:43Speaker 3: I suppose you could call it where you're just you're
- 29:48Speaker 3: getting older, so you're just writing what you think you
- 29:52Speaker 3: want to release. And suppose they're not trying to chase
- 29:55Speaker 3: the charity. You're not trying to We're past that stage now,
- 29:58Speaker 3: you know. Yeah, yeah, and something to make stuff that
- 30:01Speaker 3: you love.
- 30:02Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 30:02Speaker 6: Right, And so the last album I was just right
- 30:04Speaker 6: here in twenty twelve. I can't think it has been
- 30:08Speaker 6: that long, Like true, is.
- 30:11Speaker 7: That some what's the gats Man? Is that some kind
- 30:13Speaker 7: of you know, Oasis style rift. You guys haven't spoken
- 30:18Speaker 7: to each other for years and you're finally buried the
- 30:20Speaker 7: hatchet and you're going to sell out nine hundred thousand
- 30:23Speaker 7: tickets all around the world.
- 30:24Speaker 3: Oh no, well that's you know, I think when you
- 30:27Speaker 3: start that was twenty something years ago. Now that's what
- 30:29Speaker 3: you that's what you're hoping for. But yeah, not the case.
- 30:35Speaker 4: I reckon you would have done over the course of
- 30:37Speaker 4: twenty years.
- 30:39Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, man, it's been Honestly, I can't even remember
- 30:41Speaker 3: how many goods have done. But it's yeah, I definitely
- 30:45Speaker 3: just noticed just when you're older, it's different.
- 30:48Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 30:48Speaker 5: Yeah, I was going to I was going to ask you, Francis,
- 30:50Speaker 5: I mean, how's how's the music changed for you? I mean,
- 30:53Speaker 5: you're you're older, you're wiser, you're maybe more cynical. Has
- 30:57Speaker 5: there been a shift in the direction of the music
- 30:59Speaker 5: or is it's still the same kind of vibe.
- 31:02Speaker 3: Yeah, it's the same kind of vibe. It's just a
- 31:04Speaker 3: different time now. And the difference is like you can
- 31:08Speaker 3: have any band. You listen to Metallica and people still
- 31:11Speaker 3: want to listen to, you know, interseeing men. They don't
- 31:16Speaker 3: really want to listen to your new stuff. They want
- 31:18Speaker 3: to remembu from when you first began. And that's it
- 31:21Speaker 3: pretty much. Yeah, you know that'll be true for any
- 31:24Speaker 3: band we're thinking now. I ain't made it. I'd still
- 31:26Speaker 3: go back to the Trooper ac DC Highway to how
- 31:30Speaker 3: Bond scott.
- 31:30Speaker 4: Ere you know.
- 31:31Speaker 3: Yeah, but people, for some reason, they don't gravitate to
- 31:36Speaker 3: your new stuff because it's when you start it is
- 31:39Speaker 3: what they remember the most. Yeah, you can't really change.
- 31:42Speaker 6: That, Francis. And I've still got welded into my into
- 31:46Speaker 6: my brain, you know, on my mind Politician and all
- 31:51Speaker 6: those Skank and Sign, all those classics. Man, are you
- 31:54Speaker 6: guys haunted by those songs as you still get first
- 31:56Speaker 6: to play them?
- 31:57Speaker 3: No, there's there's still still love paying some of them,
- 32:00Speaker 3: some of them absolutely, you know. I can't wait to
- 32:04Speaker 3: bear those so many times. Yeah, but yeah, when it
- 32:08Speaker 3: comes to writing new material and releasing new material, it's
- 32:12Speaker 3: just such a different time from when we first book.
- 32:14Speaker 7: In Yeah, sorry, man, does it come as easily to you?
- 32:21Speaker 7: You're just writing a different kind of style and you've
- 32:23Speaker 7: sort of got you've probably got your craft down a
- 32:25Speaker 7: lot better after all of these years as well. The
- 32:28Speaker 7: confidence to just go ahead and write what you're feeling.
- 32:32Speaker 3: That's pretty much it. And a lot of the time
- 32:34Speaker 3: it's the demos that are more than actual finished product
- 32:38Speaker 3: because the demos. When you're writing a demo, it's when
- 32:42Speaker 3: your energy is like the freshest, that's you've just come
- 32:46Speaker 3: up with the idea and you kind of can't beat that.
- 32:48Speaker 3: It's like if you're writing a script for a film
- 32:51Speaker 3: or a TV show, your first kind of scripts are
- 32:53Speaker 3: the ones that holds you the most, and then it
- 32:56Speaker 3: takes how many drafts before you actually get to the
- 32:58Speaker 3: finished product. Yeah, that's not the fun part. You know,
- 33:02Speaker 3: The finished product wasn't the fun part. It's the initial
- 33:05Speaker 3: spat that you started with. So i'd prefuar to do those.
- 33:09Speaker 6: Yeah, right, Francis Carter, we're speaking to you right now.
- 33:12Speaker 6: By the way. Quarter have announced a brand new album.
- 33:14Speaker 6: It's called Fifth Season. As we mentioned, light Years came
- 33:17Speaker 6: out in twenty twelve, thirteen years ago. And I know Francis,
- 33:20Speaker 6: you and Lawton as well. You guys are involved with
- 33:22Speaker 6: heaps of different projects. You know, around New Zealand you'll
- 33:26Speaker 6: always see concerts pop up featuring Francis Quarter or Lawton
- 33:28Speaker 6: Quarter and you know, different projects of stuff. So how
- 33:32Speaker 6: hard was it for you guys to find the time
- 33:33Speaker 6: to get together and you know, put the band back
- 33:35Speaker 6: together and come up with enough tracks for an entire album?
- 33:39Speaker 4: You know what?
- 33:41Speaker 3: That part not so much because it's just really myself
- 33:45Speaker 3: and Dan McGrew, who lives on Queensland. We did most
- 33:47Speaker 3: of the runnings for Quarter. Yeah, it's not the original
- 33:51Speaker 3: members of the band together. We've had a different lineup
- 33:53Speaker 3: to the last maybe twelve fifteen years now and have
- 33:58Speaker 3: never stopped playing its played in this summer, and it's
- 34:03Speaker 3: just different. I'm we're running remotely as opposed to getting
- 34:07Speaker 3: people in together into the studio because lives in the country.
- 34:10Speaker 3: So it's expensive then, And that's probably the biggest change,
- 34:14Speaker 3: is trying to get everyone together and the cost of
- 34:17Speaker 3: trying to make this stuff. It's cheaper to do it yourself. Yeah, man,
- 34:22Speaker 3: that's the that's the I supposed to struggles of today's things,
- 34:25Speaker 3: and also the blessing.
- 34:27Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, I live where you're one, I guess. And
- 34:30Speaker 7: then also still able to do the still able to
- 34:32Speaker 7: do the work. And what with this album? How does
- 34:35Speaker 7: it compare to what you've done before? I'm fizzoned, man,
- 34:38Speaker 7: I'm fissing. What what can I expect? How does it
- 34:41Speaker 7: compare to what you've done before? Where does it sit you?
- 34:44Speaker 7: You rank it compared to your other albums?
- 34:48Speaker 4: Question?
- 34:50Speaker 1: Probably because it's the newest.
- 34:53Speaker 3: Yeah, there's some songs like not even finished, and I
- 34:56Speaker 3: left the demos and one of them in particular as
- 35:00Speaker 3: a song dedicated to Aaron.
- 35:02Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's not finished.
- 35:07Speaker 3: I said, it's perfect. It kind of suits the character
- 35:10Speaker 3: of Aaron. Loved it like that.
- 35:13Speaker 1: We're actually we actually had.
- 35:14Speaker 7: We had the Super Jesus in here a few weeks ago,
- 35:16Speaker 7: and they're talking about when they did their first tour
- 35:18Speaker 7: in New Zealand and they got Aaron and to be
- 35:21Speaker 7: touring guitarists with him, and they offered him the guitarists
- 35:24Speaker 7: role with the band and he just straight away went, oh,
- 35:27Speaker 7: now I'm all good.
- 35:28Speaker 4: No, sweet as man.
- 35:32Speaker 6: Just on, just on that, Francis, I believe we're going
- 35:34Speaker 6: to play that tune. Now, are you referring to the
- 35:36Speaker 6: song as a yes?
- 35:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 35:38Speaker 6: So this is a brand new tune from Quarter. It's
- 35:41Speaker 6: off their brand new album Fifth Season, which is coming
- 35:44Speaker 6: out on the twenty second, which is bloody excited. Hell,
- 35:46Speaker 6: I wasn't today the twenty second it is, it's out
- 35:51Speaker 6: today and this is a single from that very album,
- 35:54Speaker 6: the first Season. Make sure you check it out in
- 35:55Speaker 6: the meantime. He's a brand new track from Quarter.
- 35:57Speaker 1: As a.
- 36:00Speaker 2: Key big show was Jason, Mike and Kezy tune.

- 36:19Speaker 6: big live show.
- 36:20Speaker 5: I imagine you probably see a lot of nudity from
- 36:22Speaker 5: this studio, you know, we could. There's just bloody apartments everywhere. Yeah,
- 36:27Speaker 5: I mean if there was nudity, not that I'd look obviously,
- 36:30Speaker 5: because I'm a gentleman.
- 36:31Speaker 4: Keezy, you feelthy bastard?
- 36:33Speaker 6: Yeah, sorry, Jason, that's my bad dad. Hey, what are

- 37:26Speaker 4: Is he doing a Shanghai steamer?
- 37:28Speaker 6: Yeah? No, what happened?
- 37:30Speaker 1: Was I went and you doing a Wellington whopper?
- 37:33Speaker 6: Yeah? Moji? Yeah. I went and use the facilities, right,
- 37:36Speaker 6: I took a leak, and what I did realize is
- 37:39Speaker 6: that you have to take a swipe card with you
- 37:42Speaker 6: to use the toilet, and so I use the toilet.
- 37:45Speaker 6: While I'm in there, some guy is absolutely demoing the
- 37:49Speaker 6: cubicle like it is and I was just like, oh
- 37:51Speaker 6: my god, I have to get out of here.
- 37:52Speaker 4: Yeah, wash my hands.
- 37:53Speaker 6: Go to leave, and I'm stuck in a steerwell because
- 37:56Speaker 6: I can't get out.
- 37:56Speaker 5: Really, I have to wait for the guy who's I've
- 38:00Speaker 5: done the atrocity.
- 38:01Speaker 6: Yeah, And I saw him and I made eye contact
- 38:03Speaker 6: with him, and I was like, sorry, man, I had
- 38:04Speaker 6: to wait for you to get as I caught. And
- 38:06Speaker 6: he was sheepish too, because he knew that I had
- 38:07Speaker 6: been listening to him listening to the end of the door,
- 38:11Speaker 6: and he lit me up but I was just standing
- 38:12Speaker 6: at a store steerwell for like, I know, four or
- 38:15Speaker 6: five minutes. They're just waiting for this guy, and I
- 38:16Speaker 6: was like, I hope I make it in time.
- 38:18Speaker 1: You know, there's a toilet two doors down.
- 38:20Speaker 5: Yeah, I just used that urns just across the way.
- 38:23Speaker 5: He was literally about ten seconds away.
- 38:25Speaker 9: Not even yeah yeah, oh really yeah yeah rules man.
- 38:31Speaker 5: And I imagine, knowing your history, keys, you must have
- 38:33Speaker 5: found that quite traumatizing because I mean, because I know
- 38:36Speaker 5: you can't do poohs in public, oh yeah, and someone
- 38:39Speaker 5: else do an absolutely atrocity must have been quite traumatic
- 38:42Speaker 5: for you.
- 38:43Speaker 6: Yeah, because you guys are the opposite. You love doing
- 38:45Speaker 6: poohs in public, so you'll get the public together around
- 38:48Speaker 6: and then you'll yeah yeah yeah.
- 38:50Speaker 4: The funny thing is I can't without having an audience, yeah, right,
- 38:53Speaker 4: know what I mean?
- 38:54Speaker 6: Yeah, Yeah, it wasn't It was traumatic. I hated it,
- 38:57Speaker 6: and I was like, you know what I'll do, I'll
- 38:59Speaker 6: tell the will on the radio. But yeah, get around
- 39:02Speaker 6: reburg A man, that great.
- 39:06Speaker 2: Hierarchy Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and.
- 39:10Speaker 5: Kisey David Bowie there on the radio Hodarchy Big Show.
- 39:15Speaker 5: This funny evening fellas. Actually I took got a question
- 39:18Speaker 5: from last night's show. Ah, we're a lot of the
- 39:21Speaker 5: people there. In fact, I would say ninety percent of
- 39:24Speaker 5: the people that were talking to me during the show
- 39:28Speaker 5: we're referring to me as Hoidy jizz Bot. Now, I've
- 39:35Speaker 5: been aware of the fact that my name has morphed
- 39:38Speaker 5: into Hoidy jezz.
- 39:41Speaker 4: I'm just a little unclear.
- 39:43Speaker 5: Where I'm a little unclear where the bot came from.
- 39:48Speaker 4: Yeah, I think it was.
- 39:49Speaker 7: That was me, I think, And I think it was
- 39:51Speaker 7: because I like the idea of you being a jizz robot.
- 39:54Speaker 1: So I don't know.
- 39:55Speaker 7: It's just one of these things, doesn't He just tack
- 39:57Speaker 7: it on the end there and it sticks. Some people
- 39:58Speaker 7: obviously like the sound of it. Jason, Yeah, all right.
- 40:01Speaker 6: But I mean, I wouldn't do that to you, man.
- 40:02Speaker 6: I'm a firm I Hoidy Janie.
- 40:06Speaker 1: You know.
- 40:06Speaker 6: That's I'm in the Hoidy Janie camp, you know, And
- 40:08Speaker 6: I wouldn't do that to you. Call your houghty jiz bot.
- 40:10Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, Janus is a good one. Yeah as well.
- 40:14Speaker 6: But actually, while we're just pointing out things that are annoying,
- 40:17Speaker 6: do you like it or was an annoying.
- 40:18Speaker 4: Well hoidy jiz bop.
- 40:19Speaker 5: Yeah, well, I gotta be honest, I'm not I'm not
- 40:22Speaker 5: a huge fan of haughty jizz, you know what I mean,
- 40:25Speaker 5: the little alone hoidy jiz bot.
- 40:27Speaker 6: Yeah, I know how we got.
- 40:33Speaker 4: We prefer just pure jizz.
- 40:37Speaker 6: What about let's imagine if we meagine if we just
- 40:39Speaker 6: called you Jason, that would that would be shipped. Hey, fellas,
- 40:43Speaker 6: you know something that I've noticed and it's going to
- 40:45Speaker 6: happen more and more. When you say at a hotel, right,
- 40:48Speaker 6: because we sat at a lovely hotel last night, really nice,
- 40:52Speaker 6: no free Wi Fi.
- 40:55Speaker 1: Was there? Was was there?
- 40:56Speaker 4: Yeah? Mine?
- 40:57Speaker 6: I tried to excess it and I might be doing
- 40:59Speaker 6: a hoidy j here. And it was like you have
- 41:00Speaker 6: to be part of the members club or whatever.
- 41:02Speaker 7: You can sign in without being a member. There's another
- 41:05Speaker 7: button down the bottom.
- 41:06Speaker 5: Jeez, even I could do that, Keysy, God, Okay, I chewed.
- 41:11Speaker 6: Through the data last night. You know, I just say
- 41:14Speaker 6: watching four K stuff as well.
- 41:17Speaker 4: You know, because Keysy, for some reasons for family really
- 41:20Speaker 4: annoying today.
- 41:21Speaker 6: What you mean, for some reason, you know you're being
- 41:23Speaker 6: annoyed and.
- 41:24Speaker 4: For some reason he was really annoyed at the hotel.
- 41:27Speaker 4: Can you imagine I.
- 41:28Speaker 5: Want you to project a hit because old Keyesy gives
- 41:31Speaker 5: me a bit of jip about this.
- 41:32Speaker 4: Keyzy at fifty.
- 41:34Speaker 5: Yeah, can you imagine the amount of things he's going
- 41:36Speaker 5: to be annoyed by.
- 41:38Speaker 6: I'm not I'm a very happy, happy, happy key happy
- 41:42Speaker 6: key I have the only thing you annoyed about is you.
- 41:45Speaker 6: So as long as I have distanced myself from you
- 41:48Speaker 6: at fifty, I will be the happiest guy on the planet.
- 41:51Speaker 2: Okay, the whole key Big Show was Jason, Mike and Keyzy.
- 41:58Speaker 1: Tune in.
- 42:02Speaker 4: It's a big show, Big Bet with the GAB. That's right.
- 42:07Speaker 6: We've teamed up with a taab to run the Big
- 42:09Speaker 6: Show Big Bets. We've picked two bets we think will
- 42:12Speaker 6: come off this weekend and because we're down in Wellington,
- 42:15Speaker 6: we're doing the show remote today, so we put on
- 42:17Speaker 6: Instagram instead. We said, if you want to get involved
- 42:19Speaker 6: with the Tabee Big Bet, get in touch. A bloke
- 42:22Speaker 6: called Lachlan has done exactly that. He's going to choose
- 42:25Speaker 6: between our two bets. He put one hundred dollars bonus
- 42:28Speaker 6: cash on if the one he chooses comes and he
- 42:30Speaker 6: gets the money. Lachlan, are you there.
- 42:33Speaker 4: Mate, mate?
- 42:35Speaker 1: How are you? Yeah?
- 42:36Speaker 4: Good mate? How's your Friday going there? In Lachlan? Your backbone?
- 42:40Speaker 3: Oh, can't complain?
- 42:41Speaker 1: Sunshining?
- 42:42Speaker 4: Yeah, beautiful, beautiful.
- 42:44Speaker 6: Oh just quickly, Lochland, just a bit a bit of
- 42:46Speaker 6: a formality we have to do here. What do you
- 42:48Speaker 6: do for a crust?
- 42:50Speaker 7: I'm an accountant, mate, Ah, backbone, that's good ship.
- 42:55Speaker 4: You know what.
- 42:55Speaker 5: In terms of accountants, my accountants shaved me a lot
- 42:58Speaker 5: of stress in my life. He's to stress out about
- 43:02Speaker 5: that sort of stuff. But you get an account and
- 43:03Speaker 5: they sort it all out for you. Isn't that right Lachlan?
- 43:06Speaker 3: Here mate, we're all backbones.
- 43:08Speaker 4: Yeah, totally, every single one.
- 43:10Speaker 1: All right?
- 43:10Speaker 6: Lock on the two bits. You have to choose between
- 43:13Speaker 6: You've got Adam Pompey to be first, second or third
- 43:16Speaker 6: try scorer. It's the Warriors taking on the Titans on
- 43:18Speaker 6: Saturday night at seven thirty. It's paying six dollars. Or
- 43:21Speaker 6: you can choose Chris Wood to be the first goal
- 43:24Speaker 6: scorer Forest b Crystal Palace, which is on Monday morning
- 43:28Speaker 6: one am. That's paying six dollars fifty. Are you a
- 43:30Speaker 6: football guy or a rugby league guy.
- 43:33Speaker 4: Definitely rugby league. I think my flat mate would kill
- 43:35Speaker 4: me if I didn't select Pompey. So second or third?
- 43:38Speaker 6: All right, well we'll lock that in mate. We'll put
- 43:39Speaker 6: one hundred dollar bonus bed on and you'll get to
- 43:41Speaker 6: keep all the winnings if it comes through. Mate.
- 43:44Speaker 1: Awesome, Thank you guys very much.
- 43:46Speaker 5: Go mates, You have a good weekend, your backbone, good stuff.
- 43:50Speaker 6: For Yeah, what a chair. So don't forget TB as
- 43:53Speaker 6: your home for sports, multi's InPlay, betting and power players.
- 43:56Speaker 6: Of course, make sure you gain were responsible. It is
- 44:00Speaker 6: ra eighteen full teas and season stuff up at ducky
- 44:02Speaker 6: dot cot on his z fels.
- 44:03Speaker 5: Am I right in saying on that front fielders, Pompey
- 44:05Speaker 5: has actually scored a few tries of late POMPEII. Yeah, yeah,
- 44:10Speaker 5: he has scored a few tries though.
- 44:11Speaker 1: Has he not got a double last week? Yes?
- 44:13Speaker 4: And some before that as well, some before that.
- 44:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 44:16Speaker 7: Yeah, well he's actually got I think it's his record.
- 44:19Speaker 7: It might be his record year. I think it might
- 44:21Speaker 7: be the most amount of tries he's ever scored in here.
- 44:22Speaker 7: I feel like previously it may have been four, and
- 44:24Speaker 7: now it's nine.
- 44:25Speaker 6: Next, Yeah, and I think last we'll not last year.
- 44:28Speaker 6: The year before as well, they quite often the scored
- 44:30Speaker 6: a lot of points by skipping the center and throwing
- 44:32Speaker 6: a little harbor bridge pass out to the winger.
- 44:34Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 44:35Speaker 6: Nowadays I've noticed that the centers are almost stepping back
- 44:39Speaker 6: in and cutting over for a lot of tries. So
- 44:41Speaker 6: I think it is actually quite a good bit there
- 44:43Speaker 6: to place Hoidy j Hey, what so are we going
- 44:46Speaker 6: to here?
- 44:46Speaker 1: Man?
- 44:46Speaker 4: I would never close my comps just died.

- 45:11Speaker 6: It is a real email address. Get in touch. It's
- 45:13Speaker 6: one hundred percent anonymous. So if you need advice on anything,
- 45:16Speaker 6: you email us and if we read it out on
- 45:18Speaker 6: the radio, you get a fifty do Reburger vouchers. That's
- 45:20Speaker 6: worth doing, Fellers. This one comes from.
- 45:22Speaker 4: Australia, Shaia, Australia.
- 45:25Speaker 6: Jaya get a Feller's anonymous here. I'm a backbone living abroad.
- 45:30Speaker 6: I listen every day via the iHeartRadio app, and I
- 45:34Speaker 6: want to get involved and ask for some advice, but
- 45:36Speaker 6: I'm reluctant to because what can I do with a
- 45:38Speaker 6: Reburger voucher in Melbourne? I would totally fly back and
- 45:42Speaker 6: get a burger, but if not for all the outstanding warrants,
- 45:47Speaker 6: So the juice doesn't really seem worth the squeeze, if
- 45:50Speaker 6: you know what I mean. Anyways, what would you do
- 45:53Speaker 6: with my shoes?
- 45:54Speaker 1: Cheers?
- 45:55Speaker 6: And that's from anonymous?
- 45:57Speaker 1: So it's what a conundrum.
- 45:59Speaker 4: Yeah, there's a jim, isn't it?
- 46:00Speaker 1: Well?
- 46:00Speaker 7: I think I think possibly looking at who was that
- 46:04Speaker 7: from anonymous?
- 46:05Speaker 6: Anonymous?
- 46:05Speaker 1: Yeah, possibly looking at it from the wrong way.
- 46:08Speaker 7: You're not You're not sending in a question so that
- 46:11Speaker 7: you can get a Reburg avout you you're seeing it
- 46:13Speaker 7: in a question so.
- 46:14Speaker 1: You can get great advice.
- 46:15Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 46:16Speaker 1: The Reburg avoucher is just the cheery on top agreed mogi.
- 46:20Speaker 5: And what what's unfortunate about what he's done there is
- 46:24Speaker 5: he's just blown a really great opportunity to get top
- 46:28Speaker 5: advice from the Fellers. Instead he's focusing on a voucher instead.
- 46:35Speaker 6: So would our advice be to just maybe think about
- 46:38Speaker 6: things before you do them.
- 46:39Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, you.
- 46:41Speaker 1: Haven't think about it, man, just think about it?
- 46:44Speaker 6: Yeah right, you know what I mean what.
- 46:46Speaker 5: He could do if he did win the voucher is
- 46:48Speaker 5: start a franchise over in Australia.
- 46:51Speaker 1: They're looking for franchisease, yeah are they? Yeah?
- 46:53Speaker 5: They are really Yeah, So maybe he could he could
- 46:56Speaker 5: kick it off and Aussie be a groundbreaker, or he.
- 46:59Speaker 7: Could give it a you know, if it was a
- 47:01Speaker 7: mate's birthday or something like that, he could go on
- 47:04Speaker 7: the internet and order some yes, and they use that
- 47:06Speaker 7: voucher and have it delivered. Wouldn't that be a lovely gesture,
- 47:09Speaker 7: a kind gesture selfless?
- 47:11Speaker 4: I agree, Magi. That's a bloody great idea.
- 47:14Speaker 6: So the advice is, yeah, get in touch anyway, ask
- 47:18Speaker 6: for advice. If we read it out, we'll send you
- 47:20Speaker 6: a voucher. Use that for one of your mates in
- 47:22Speaker 6: New Zealand. I think, so, yeah, that's good advice.
- 47:24Speaker 1: Thanks guys.
- 47:25Speaker 4: That's what a friend would do.
- 47:27Speaker 6: So do we now send him the voucher?
- 47:30Speaker 4: Is that?
- 47:31Speaker 5: I mean it's going to take a couple of weeks anyway,
- 47:34Speaker 5: and then it's going to see So they had another
- 47:36Speaker 5: couple of weeks on there and probably by the end
- 47:39Speaker 5: of the year he'll get it.
- 47:40Speaker 2: The Hurdiarchy Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Kissey, Well,
- 47:54Speaker 2: there you.
- 47:54Speaker 5: Go news and we made it. And I'm going to
- 47:56Speaker 5: be honest with you. When we came into the studio.
- 47:58Speaker 4: Today, I was doubt.
- 48:00Speaker 5: I had no doubts it would get through the show,
- 48:02Speaker 5: but were bad bones.
- 48:03Speaker 4: Yeah, on the Big Show and the Fellers, we.
- 48:05Speaker 5: All piled through and now Keesy and I after the show,
- 48:09Speaker 5: got a good six hour wait for our aeroplane.
- 48:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 48:13Speaker 6: Yeah, because we're down at Wellington right now and we're
- 48:15Speaker 6: a wee bit dusty. Well, Moggie and I are. After
- 48:18Speaker 6: last night's Brand New Men live shot after the live
- 48:22Speaker 6: show at Parrot Dog last night, a big shout out
- 48:24Speaker 6: against everyone in Wellington that came out to that show
- 48:26Speaker 6: was an absolute ripper, and we're to be coming back down.
- 48:30Speaker 6: But yeah, I'm pretty keen just to hop on a plane,
- 48:32Speaker 6: go home and go to bed.
- 48:33Speaker 4: Yeah, man, that's what excited for. We're better mind.
- 48:35Speaker 5: Actually, Mogie, what are you gonna do? You're going to
- 48:37Speaker 5: get back on the horse and whip it's ass?
- 48:39Speaker 4: Or are you going to have a little nanon.
- 48:40Speaker 1: You're trying to decide whether I should have a nap
- 48:42Speaker 1: and then go out.
- 48:43Speaker 7: If I should just go out and then that way,
- 48:45Speaker 7: it'll definitely be an early night, yes, because I'll be
- 48:48Speaker 7: sort of just sort of struggling my way through.
- 48:51Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 48:51Speaker 5: I would get on the horse and whip it's ass. Yeah,
- 48:55Speaker 5: and then and call it a night. Chuck yourself in
- 48:57Speaker 5: at ten and watch your movie.
- 48:59Speaker 7: Yeah, that'll be a while. Just go straight to sleep mate.
- 49:01Speaker 7: And can I say that I think that might be
- 49:03Speaker 7: the best hotel room on stayed and in a very
- 49:05Speaker 7: long time. It's air con, the blackout curtains, not having
- 49:12Speaker 7: weird lights on all over, the bloody joint coming out
- 49:15Speaker 7: of TVs or bloody radios or you.
- 49:18Speaker 1: Name it, great showers.
- 49:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 49:23Speaker 1: Can I say that it has.
- 49:24Speaker 7: A temperature on the thing, so you know which way
- 49:26Speaker 7: to get it hot.
- 49:27Speaker 1: It's always hard to work out oftentimes.
- 49:29Speaker 5: Just on that I didn't I couldn't find the tap
- 49:31Speaker 5: I was. I was going to the source shining to
- 49:33Speaker 5: turn it.
- 49:34Speaker 1: This is Steph.
- 49:35Speaker 4: The tap was about a meter away.
- 49:37Speaker 7: Oh you got taps? I got a push button set
- 49:39Speaker 7: up in mind. Oh wow, it's very nice push.
- 49:41Speaker 6: But so you get to push the butt? Do you
- 49:43Speaker 6: want the rainfall shower head or the regular one? You
- 49:45Speaker 6: just push it?
- 49:46Speaker 4: I didn't have that, mate, bloody great.
- 49:48Speaker 6: I mean you missed out.
- 49:49Speaker 1: Simply must get one.
- 49:50Speaker 4: Jason, Hey, now listen. Thanks for listening to the show.
