- 0:13Speaker 3: It's 106.7 Light FM. Cubby, Christine, producer Kristen is here.
- 0:17Speaker 3: I did have a good dad joke real quick.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Okay.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Somebody texted me because the whole Iris thing made me
- 0:22Speaker 3: think of the dad joke.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Let's see. I have a buddy of mine. We do
- 0:25Speaker 1: dad jokes together. Oh, here we go. Lee Majors. Is
- 0:30Speaker 1: not a fan of summer. He's a fall guy.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Lee Majors. Okay. What year was that show? For that
- 0:43Speaker 2: dad joke right there.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Lee Majors, of course, was a $ 6 million man.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:47Speaker 1: And then he did that show in the 80s called
- 0:49Speaker 1: Fall Guy.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Oh, the 80s. Yes.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Yes, going back to the 80s.
- 0:51Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Is he still alive?
- 0:54Speaker 2: You know.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Wow, okay.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Lee Majors, ladies and gentlemen, is still with us.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Very good.
- 0:59Speaker 1: And 87 years young.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Good.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Amazing. Six million dollar man and the fall guy.
- 1:05Speaker 2: I'm sure he loves that joke.
- 1:07Speaker 1: It doesn't feel like fall. Well, maybe today it will.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Yesterday it sure didn't. We were dealing with 80 degree temps.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Oh, it was weird yesterday.
- 1:15Speaker 3: Producer Kristen, she was off chaperoning a kid's field trip.
- 1:19Speaker 3: And she said they had thunder and lightning near the
- 1:21Speaker 3: end of the field trip. It was kind of a
- 1:23Speaker 3: wild weather day.
- 1:24Speaker 2: I know. It rained and then it was worse yesterday.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:27Speaker 2: It was like hot and soupy again.
- 1:29Speaker 3: And humid.
- 1:29Speaker 1: It felt like July.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:31Speaker 3: But we're in the Halloween spirit around here. In fact,
- 1:34Speaker 3: I believe you did some Halloween things.
- 1:36Speaker 1: I did.
- 1:37Speaker 2: I went to Walmart yesterday with my sister-in-law, Barbara, and
- 1:40Speaker 2: we got our Halloween candy. And this was like a
- 1:43Speaker 2: huge discussion in the store, Cubby, because it was Barbara,
- 1:47Speaker 2: it was me, it was a couple of ladies.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Getting ready for trick-or-treaters, right?
- 1:50Speaker 2: We're getting ready and we're all kind of like Do
- 1:52Speaker 2: we buy this now or are we going to eat it?
- 1:56Speaker 2: So we decided it's close enough. Like if we don't
- 2:00Speaker 2: buy it now, then you're not going to get the
- 2:01Speaker 2: ones that you like maybe. And they're going to get
- 2:04Speaker 2: more expensive as we get closer. And I was telling Barbara,
- 2:07Speaker 2: I'm like, I feel so bad for the kids because
- 2:09Speaker 2: those they're not even snack size. Snack size are small.
- 2:13Speaker 2: They're like bite size.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Have they gotten smaller over the years?
- 2:16Speaker 2: They're so small.
- 2:18Speaker 1: You're right. It used to be like an index finger.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Right.
- 2:20Speaker 1: And now it's like half of an index finger.
- 2:22Speaker 2: A little square.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Just a little square of something. So I ended up
- 2:25Speaker 2: buying so much candy to make up for it because
- 2:28Speaker 2: I figured they have to grab a few. Right. You know,
- 2:30Speaker 2: not just one. I got some snack size ones. But
- 2:33Speaker 2: if you get the bags that have a mix, they
- 2:35Speaker 2: give you all those little minis. Right.
- 2:38Speaker 1: So did you manage to keep the bag closed?
- 2:41Speaker 2: So.
- 2:43Speaker 2: They were exchanging tips, Barbara and this lady, and Barbara
- 2:47Speaker 2: was telling her, put the Reese's pumpkins in the freezer
- 2:51Speaker 2: and they'll taste better. And the lady was like, no,
- 2:52Speaker 2: don't help me. Don't do that. You know, they're like,
- 2:55Speaker 2: we just need this candy to make it to Halloween.
- 3:00Speaker 2: We did not make it home. Barbara opened her candy
- 3:03Speaker 2: in the car. Light at them.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Oh, sorry. I was going to play this. I had this.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Here we go. She ate the candy. There we go.
- 3:10Speaker 3: Yes.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Yes.
- 3:12Speaker 1: I applaud that.
- 3:13Speaker 2: I even told her, I was like, do you want
- 3:14Speaker 2: to put it in the trunk? She goes, no, I'll
- 3:16Speaker 2: hold it because I'm going to be getting out of
- 3:17Speaker 2: the car first. I'm like, okay, you hold it. The
- 3:20Speaker 2: whole way home. And it's a lot of work because
- 3:22Speaker 2: they are so tiny. Yeah. And she wanted candy.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Are there wrappers all over your phone board?
- 3:26Speaker 2: She had to open like 40 of them just for
- 3:29Speaker 2: a snack.
- 3:29Speaker 1: So you have to go back for more now? Or
- 3:31Speaker 1: do you have enough for all the trick-or-treaters?
- 3:32Speaker 2: She probably has to get more.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Do you get a lot of trick-or-treaters? I think you
- 3:35Speaker 1: probably do. Yeah, we do.
- 3:36Speaker 2: We have a lot of kids in our neighborhood. Yeah.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Yeah. So, well.
- 3:39Speaker 2: So and anything that's left over, I'm going to bring here, guys.
- 3:43Speaker 3: We really because I think you said earlier you're debating
- 3:46Speaker 3: it because other people bring so much.
- 3:48Speaker 2: I know everybody else does. And you're going to look
- 3:49Speaker 2: at me like, no, not more candy.
- 3:51Speaker 1: No, please bring it in. OK. All right.
- 3:54Speaker 3: Happy Halloween, by the way, in advance. We got two
- 3:57Speaker 3: pretty cool things coming up. We got some tricks. We
- 3:59Speaker 3: got some treats.
- 4:00Speaker 1: It's light FM.
