- 0:25Speaker 2: cranny of the Star Wars galaxy far far away that
- 0:28Speaker 2: you've always wanted to go to, but maybe we're a
- 0:30Speaker 2: little afraid to approach. H I'm Jedi Master John Nills and
- 0:34Speaker 2: joining me on this journey, this very special journey we're taking,
- 0:37Speaker 2: is Jedi Master Matthew Rushing. Matt are you ready to
- 0:40Speaker 2: discuss Chapter ten of the Mandalorians second episode of season two,
- 0:46Speaker 2: The Passenger.
- 0:47Speaker 3: I can't wait. Actually, I had so much fun at
- 0:51Speaker 3: talking about the first episode, The Marshall. I am very
- 0:54Speaker 3: much looking forward to this one, especially since this was
- 0:57Speaker 3: an episode that coming off the first episode. I just
- 1:00Speaker 3: remember people kind of not being super psyched about.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Super psyched is what people should be. To go over
- 1:08Speaker 2: to Apple Podcasts and leave us a star rating and review,
- 1:10Speaker 2: we'd really appreciate it. Or head on over to the
- 1:14Speaker 2: Nerd party dot com, slash contact and leave us a note,
- 1:17Speaker 2: or reach out to us on the socials at the
- 1:19Speaker 2: Jedi Masters on x at join nerd Party, or the
- 1:22Speaker 2: nerd Party on Facebook and Instagram. There are a lot
- 1:25Speaker 2: of different channels, a lot of different ways to reach
- 1:27Speaker 2: out to us, But let's go ahead and hug that
- 1:30Speaker 2: from the start. We'll go back, we'll do piece by
- 1:32Speaker 2: piece of the episode. We know this is the second
- 1:35Speaker 2: episode of the season, and we're all primed after a
- 1:39Speaker 2: killer opening at the Marshall and the little teas of like,
- 1:43Speaker 2: oh my gosh, it's ah with this. Everybody tore themselves
- 1:50Speaker 2: apart with that core part of the story where the
- 1:55Speaker 2: alien that he is getting home her fertilization to pendent
- 2:00Speaker 2: eggs are in a floaty jar and Grogu sees them
- 2:03Speaker 2: as food, and despite Mando admonishing him repeatedly, he keeps
- 2:09Speaker 2: stealing a snack. So what was your reaction with that
- 2:13Speaker 2: whole thing that people were on fire about.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Yeah, look, I mean, obviously it's a weird part of
- 2:20Speaker 3: the story. Honestly, it's a strange choice, I think to
- 2:25Speaker 3: have Grogu eating these kids basically.
- 2:28Speaker 2: But they're not They're not kids. Yet Yeah, you're not
- 2:33Speaker 2: fertilized yet. Yeah, I get it. I get it.
- 2:36Speaker 3: I still think it's strange, but I look, I don't
- 2:41Speaker 3: think that that's I actually think the thing that stands
- 2:45Speaker 3: out to me the most about this episode, especially in
- 2:47Speaker 3: rewatching it, was the way in which we're mirroring this
- 2:53Speaker 3: mother and the Mandalorian and the roles that they have,
- 3:00Speaker 3: and both of their roles are in protecting their children.
- 3:05Speaker 3: And I think that's the real beauty of this episode,
- 3:07Speaker 3: is that we are showing just how far Mando will
- 3:10Speaker 3: go to protect this child. And I think there's something
- 3:15Speaker 3: really special about that by showing that juxtaposed with a
- 3:20Speaker 3: mother who is doing the very same thing. She's putting
- 3:23Speaker 3: her life on the line, she is doing everything possible
- 3:26Speaker 3: to make sure that her children can exist in the
- 3:31Speaker 3: first place, right, And so I just really love that,
- 3:36Speaker 3: and I think that it was very smart of the
- 3:42Speaker 3: creators of the show to go this route for the
- 3:46Speaker 3: second episode. You know, we're still continuing on the whole thread.
- 3:51Speaker 3: If we're trying to find Mandalorians that you know, will
- 3:55Speaker 3: allow him to be able to know, you know, where
- 4:00Speaker 3: where some possible Jedi might be. And I love all
- 4:04Speaker 3: that but I just I really think that there is
- 4:06Speaker 3: something special about let's take an episode to remind us
- 4:14Speaker 3: that the goal that Mando has might not be as
- 4:21Speaker 3: easy for him in the end as he thinks it's
- 4:24Speaker 3: going to be. And specifically that comes down to the
- 4:27Speaker 3: way in which he feels about this kid and that
- 4:32Speaker 3: he is growing closer to this kid than I think
- 4:35Speaker 3: that he remembers or realizes, not remembers, but it realizes.
- 4:40Speaker 3: And again, I think this is an episode to kind
- 4:42Speaker 3: of accentuate all of those things by allowing us to
- 4:46Speaker 3: see it through the lens of, you know, another parent
- 4:49Speaker 3: who's willing to do whatever it takes. And that's the
- 4:53Speaker 3: thing that really stuck out to be, especially just even
- 4:55Speaker 3: in the rewatch of you know, kind of being really special.
- 5:01Speaker 2: You know. I like what you're saying there about how
- 5:03Speaker 2: you see basically two parents trying to defend their young
- 5:11Speaker 2: and I think that people got I think that the
- 5:16Speaker 2: episode did what it was supposed to do, which was
- 5:18Speaker 2: cast the fact that what Grogu was doing was a
- 5:23Speaker 2: real ink blot test in ways that I think people
- 5:25Speaker 2: didn't expect it to be, wherein Grogu doesn't have an
- 5:29Speaker 2: apparent concept of right and wrong at this stage. Yeah,
- 5:34Speaker 2: it's great, And so how are you condemning him for
- 5:40Speaker 2: just doing what comes naturally? Right? And then shouldn't you
- 5:45Speaker 2: be transferring that to Mando might say, hey, no, don't
- 5:49Speaker 2: do that. Well, why isn't Mando keeping a tighter eye
- 5:53Speaker 2: on things. Why isn't he as defensive of her children,
- 5:59Speaker 2: her future, your potential children as he is of the foundling?
- 6:04Speaker 2: And I think that in and of itself winds up
- 6:06Speaker 2: being a very interesting thing, because we've already seen he'll
- 6:09Speaker 2: do anything up to an including sacrificing himself to defend Grogu, right,
- 6:15Speaker 2: who we still don't know his name is Grogu? Sorry
- 6:18Speaker 2: at this point the child, but he all he does
- 6:23Speaker 2: is sort of admoniest, like hey, don't do that, and
- 6:26Speaker 2: then he walks away. It's like, well, yeah, I mean
- 6:29Speaker 2: the kid isn't paying attention to you, really.
- 6:34Speaker 3: I mean he's doing what kids do.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Well, which is misbehave. Yeah, that's true.
- 6:39Speaker 3: And you know, you know, you don't tell you don't
- 6:43Speaker 3: have to tell kids what to not do in the
- 6:49Speaker 3: sense of like, yeah, we rephrase it. You don't have
- 6:54Speaker 3: to tell kids the bad thing to do, the wrong
- 6:59Speaker 3: thing to do. You have to teach them what the
- 7:01Speaker 3: right thing to do is. And that's where we are with,
- 7:06Speaker 3: you know, the child at this moment, and he's in
- 7:08Speaker 3: a spot where he doesn't know the right things to do.
- 7:11Speaker 3: And even when he's told what the right things to
- 7:14Speaker 3: do are, he's going to continue to push the boundaries,
- 7:17Speaker 3: as all children do, to see what he can get
- 7:19Speaker 3: away with. And I like what you're saying that there
- 7:22Speaker 3: is this sense that, you know, I don't think Mando
- 7:26Speaker 3: has quite realized just yet, and I think these episodes
- 7:31Speaker 3: here are really starting to teach him that is that, Yeah,
- 7:35Speaker 3: when you have a kid, you got to kind of
- 7:36Speaker 3: keep your eye on them all the time. You know,
- 7:39Speaker 3: there isn't a moment that you can let up. And
- 7:43Speaker 3: right there are too many times in this episode where
- 7:46Speaker 3: he's led up because he's too focused on what he
- 7:48Speaker 3: needs to do and you know, just not making sure
- 7:52Speaker 3: that the child is with him, and that creates issues
- 7:56Speaker 3: for everyone around him. And so but that's what it's
- 8:00Speaker 3: like to have a little kid, you know, like that's
- 8:03Speaker 3: just what they do.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Wouldn't it be wouldn't it have made more sense in
- 8:10Speaker 2: this episode because they get into the predicament that they
- 8:12Speaker 2: do with the spiders, which we'll talk about soon enough.
- 8:16Speaker 2: After he picks up the passenger, they're underway, they can't
- 8:21Speaker 2: go into hyperspace, and they of course are traveling sub
- 8:26Speaker 2: light and Trapper Wolf and Carson Teeva come up and Mando. Basically,
- 8:36Speaker 2: this is the classic thing of why did he run
- 8:39Speaker 2: from them? I mean, we know why, we know why
- 8:41Speaker 2: he's wanted for questioning on something. There's the timelock of
- 8:45Speaker 2: she's got a certain window of time. Where do you
- 8:49Speaker 2: stand on the idea that Mando is in a disaster
- 8:52Speaker 2: of his own making here and the correct thing to
- 8:56Speaker 2: do would have been to explain the situation to the
- 9:00Speaker 2: New Republic authorities, to make sure that she would get
- 9:04Speaker 2: where she needed to go safely and accept any consequences.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Do you think that it was right of him to
- 9:13Speaker 2: run because of his fear of letting Grogu go, because
- 9:16Speaker 2: of what the New Republic might do if they discover Grogu.
- 9:21Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I think that's a really good question.
- 9:24Speaker 3: I think.
- 9:27Speaker 1: We do.
- 9:28Speaker 3: I think see in this episode the mistrust that Mando
- 9:33Speaker 3: has of everyone, and it kind of comes back to
- 9:37Speaker 3: bite him in the butt because I think what you
- 9:43Speaker 3: were saying proves out at the end of the episode
- 9:47Speaker 3: where they could have taken him in, but because of
- 9:49Speaker 3: the actions that he's taken that were altruistic have put
- 9:54Speaker 3: him in the right light with the New Republic, Right,
- 9:57Speaker 3: they're willing to let some say things slide because they
- 9:59Speaker 3: realized this is a good guy and he's not really
- 10:05Speaker 3: trying to do anything wrong. And if, like you said,
- 10:10Speaker 3: if he had just explained that at the very beginning,
- 10:15Speaker 3: it would have made a world of difference. And so
- 10:19Speaker 3: I really appreciate that, and I think you're absolutely right.
- 10:25Speaker 3: You know, this is one of those places too where
- 10:28Speaker 3: I think it's one of the growth elements of the
- 10:34Speaker 3: character of the Mandalorian Dindjarin slowly throughout this series is
- 10:42Speaker 3: going to learn to trust other people. It's just going
- 10:47Speaker 3: to be a very slow process. Right, And you know
- 10:50Speaker 3: we even is it this episode where we get this
- 10:57Speaker 3: slight view of or was the previous episode where we
- 11:05Speaker 3: got the slight view of his like background? Oh no, no, no,
- 11:10Speaker 3: So we've already seen, you know, just a slight view
- 11:13Speaker 3: of his background, right that he was saved by Mandalorians
- 11:16Speaker 3: during the Clone Wars, right, and and therefore that's what
- 11:23Speaker 3: led him to being a mandalarian in the first place.
- 11:25Speaker 2: So I just.
- 11:28Speaker 3: But they're the only people he's ever been able to trust,
- 11:31Speaker 3: and this whole series is about him finding people he
- 11:35Speaker 3: can trust. And I think that that again, I think
- 11:37Speaker 3: that's really interesting and I kind of just love that
- 11:43Speaker 3: that's a part of his growth. And yeah, so you're
- 11:46Speaker 3: exactly right. If he had just trusted there, they would
- 11:51Speaker 3: have been in a much better position and he wouldn't
- 11:54Speaker 3: be limping to this planet of trask, you know, almost dead.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Right, And I think that the I think that the
- 12:08Speaker 2: audience reaction was really interesting to me, you know, online,
- 12:14Speaker 2: because they fixated on the child eating the eggs. That
- 12:20Speaker 2: was a big sticking point for people. And I think
- 12:23Speaker 2: that there's you know, it's it's really wild because I
- 12:30Speaker 2: think this is a bold episode to have immediately after
- 12:33Speaker 2: the opening that you did, because I think this is
- 12:37Speaker 2: going into such different territory with everything, and it's such
- 12:42Speaker 2: an odd choice not to have him simply go off
- 12:45Speaker 2: to the next adventure. Because the big complaint that a
- 12:48Speaker 2: lot of people had that I talked to with season
- 12:52Speaker 2: one was yeah, it's good, but it's too much like
- 12:54Speaker 2: a video game. It's like each episode was he had
- 12:56Speaker 2: to go do a task, come back, get the reward.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Go do a task, come back and get the I
- 13:00Speaker 2: was like, congratulations, you just described pretty much every hero
- 13:03Speaker 2: story ever written. But that's cool. That's cool. Don't worry
- 13:05Speaker 2: about it. But this one is a bridge episode. There's
- 13:14Speaker 2: no clean resolution to it. There's no get the magic
- 13:19Speaker 2: bean and you grow the beanstalk aspect to it. It's
- 13:23Speaker 2: literally a step along the way, and so I think,
- 13:28Speaker 2: I just I think it's a really bold choice, but
- 13:31Speaker 2: one choice that I thought was I'd love to get
- 13:34Speaker 2: your take on it. Obviously, they use and I'm going
- 13:37Speaker 2: to try to pronounce it correctly here because I'd never
- 13:42Speaker 2: heard the name before. The Krikna or is it Kriikna
- 13:45Speaker 2: spiders that they encounter, which are based on spider illustrations
- 13:54Speaker 2: that Macquarie did for The Empire Strikes Back, which I
- 13:59Speaker 2: always thought were rest in a great way in rebels. Yes,
- 14:06Speaker 2: when they encounter the ben do so we encounter them here,
- 14:10Speaker 2: so people who didn't watch the animated series can see.
- 14:13Speaker 2: You know, it brought the life here sort of thing
- 14:17Speaker 2: in a different way. Do you think the introduction of
- 14:21Speaker 2: the spiders was effective? Was it good? Was it cheap?
- 14:25Speaker 2: Do you think that it was just a you know,
- 14:28Speaker 2: a scare tactic for the story, Like do you think
- 14:32Speaker 2: how effective do you think the spiders were?
- 14:37Speaker 3: You know, what's really interesting about this is that I
- 14:39Speaker 3: actually think the spiders fit with the theme that we
- 14:45Speaker 3: were talking about earlier, because what does Grogu do. He
- 14:49Speaker 3: eats one of the kids out of the egg, and
- 14:53Speaker 3: so it is a parent protecting its kid. And yes,
- 14:59Speaker 3: it's it's it's just acting on instinct because it's just
- 15:02Speaker 3: an insectoid or an animal or whatever we want to
- 15:05Speaker 3: call it, right it but it it's protecting its offspring.
- 15:11Speaker 3: And of course it's going to come after you, and
- 15:14Speaker 3: if you harm it, it's offspring. And so I think again,
- 15:21Speaker 3: every single part of this episode is driving at the
- 15:24Speaker 3: thematic element that what will you do to protect your offspring?
- 15:32Speaker 3: And what we see here is that at every level
- 15:37Speaker 3: of sentience, right, most species are driven to protect the
- 15:46Speaker 3: next generation. And I think that's really interesting and it's
- 15:52Speaker 3: great for the character of the Mandalorian in this sense,
- 15:56Speaker 3: because the Mandalorian don't necessarily grow by procreation in the
- 16:07Speaker 3: normal way, right. A lot of times they grow by
- 16:12Speaker 3: adopting those that they find along the way. So they're
- 16:16Speaker 3: they're very much an adoptive culture, which I also think
- 16:20Speaker 3: is beautiful that we're you know, utilizing the importance of
- 16:25Speaker 3: adoption and and how powerful it is and what it
- 16:28Speaker 3: can mean to create families that wouldn't have existed otherwise.
- 16:33Speaker 3: I think that's great. And so yeah, this is this
- 16:38Speaker 3: is one of those things where the to me, the
- 16:40Speaker 3: spiders worked on that. On that front, I also just
- 16:42Speaker 3: thought they looked great. I thought they did a really
- 16:45Speaker 3: good job with the effects work of them, and I
- 16:48Speaker 3: also do yeah, I enjoy Yeah, it's a little scary.
- 16:52Speaker 3: Ron Weasley from Harry Potter would hate this because he
- 16:54Speaker 3: hates spiders, me too, but I also appreciated to the
- 16:59Speaker 3: idea of them being like kind of putting something unexpected
- 17:05Speaker 3: on an ice planet was great, you know, And so
- 17:09Speaker 3: all around I thought that they were well done and fit.
- 17:13Speaker 3: So what did you think, I mean, how did you feel?
- 17:16Speaker 3: Especially here with the rewatch.
- 17:19Speaker 2: I'm terrified of spiders, and so every time I've rewatched
- 17:23Speaker 2: this episode, I hate it. I hate it, but I
- 17:26Speaker 2: love it because I love a good scare, big horror
- 17:28Speaker 2: movie fan and everything like that, and I love monsters,
- 17:30Speaker 2: and monsters are a hallmark of Star Wars. I don't
- 17:34Speaker 2: think Star Wars has an identity without the monster aspect,
- 17:38Speaker 2: going all the way back to the Dianoga in the
- 17:41Speaker 2: original Star Wars and then the Wampa, and then you
- 17:45Speaker 2: have the Starlac and the Rancorp and the the you know,
- 17:49Speaker 2: the Colo Clawfish and the OPC Killer, and you know
- 17:53Speaker 2: that the Aclae and the Reek. Like it's monsters everywhere
- 17:58Speaker 2: with Star Wars, and this I think adds the pantheon.
- 18:01Speaker 2: I wish they hadn't done spiders because even on Rebels,
- 18:05Speaker 2: when the you know, the spiders are there, I hate them.
- 18:09Speaker 2: I can't stress enough how much I hate spiders. So
- 18:14Speaker 2: it's a very very tough kind of episode to watch
- 18:19Speaker 2: because it's like, oh, here comes the scary part. Oh,
- 18:22Speaker 2: I'm gonna have nightmares after this cool, fantastic, you know,
- 18:28Speaker 2: And it's what's very much fun is at absolutely no prodding.
- 18:34Speaker 2: For me. What's great is that my youngest has become
- 18:40Speaker 2: a very devoted fan of Dave Filoni all on her own,
- 18:46Speaker 2: and so when Trapper Wolf shows up again in this episode, yeah,
- 18:51Speaker 2: like she was just absolutely tickled pink about it, and
- 18:54Speaker 2: the fact that he helped save Mando from the Spiders,
- 18:57Speaker 2: like she was just absolutely over the moon about it,
- 19:02Speaker 2: and it's so much fun to watch because it's like
- 19:05Speaker 2: she's not us, and she's not somebody that someone can
- 19:10Speaker 2: just you know, dismiss as like, oh, you're just being
- 19:12Speaker 2: a fanboy or a fangirl or anything like that. It's
- 19:15Speaker 2: literally she organically grew into this love of Trapper Wolf himself.
- 19:21Speaker 2: And so you know, think that that sort of when
- 19:25Speaker 2: I think of the Spiders, I'm horrified, and then I
- 19:28Speaker 2: think of her reaction to him, you know, helping out
- 19:31Speaker 2: at the end, and I'm like, Okay, this sort of
- 19:34Speaker 2: balances that way. It's a it's a pleasant memory. But
- 19:37Speaker 2: big question I have, you know, as we're rounding third
- 19:40Speaker 2: here is we saw some of the limitations of the
- 19:46Speaker 2: effects with the you know, the volume in the previous episode.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Did you see any of those same limitations here or
- 19:56Speaker 2: do you think that, especially in terms of volume usage,
- 20:00Speaker 2: this is you know, a plus across the board.
- 20:06Speaker 3: I think that this episode just felt better in every
- 20:10Speaker 3: sense of the word, honestly, And I don't know why
- 20:15Speaker 3: that is, because it feels like this should be harder to.
- 20:18Speaker 2: Do, But.
- 20:22Speaker 3: I'm hard pressed to find moments that really stood out
- 20:27Speaker 3: to me. It felt like, oh, that's just the volume.
- 20:32Speaker 3: This this felt very real in its in its sense,
- 20:40Speaker 3: like you when they go to that part of the
- 20:41Speaker 3: cave where she's in the pool and everything, and then
- 20:44Speaker 3: the spiders start coming in and all, and then when
- 20:48Speaker 3: they're running through the tunnels, like that stuff is great.
- 20:54Speaker 4: Yeah, it's so good, and I really really appreciate the
- 21:00Speaker 4: work that they put into it, and I just think
- 21:02Speaker 4: that this is a great episode, like in that sense,
- 21:05Speaker 4: like I don't I'm not sitting there thinking, oh my gosh,
- 21:09Speaker 4: this feels like.
- 21:13Speaker 3: I'm just playing like a video game. This all feels
- 21:16Speaker 3: like it's happening on a set, which is crazy because
- 21:20Speaker 3: we've also got a CGI spiders all over the place,
- 21:24Speaker 3: and none of them really feel like CGI. They all
- 21:27Speaker 3: feel like something I could step on.
- 21:30Speaker 2: I stay with you wholeheartedly. No, I agree with you, though.
- 21:37Speaker 2: I think that this is I think that this unlocks
- 21:40Speaker 2: one of the tricks for the volume working best, which
- 21:44Speaker 2: is movement. Don't give my eye a chance to start
- 21:50Speaker 2: wandering and looking at the edges. Keep moving, make it happen.
- 21:56Speaker 2: Because I think that the slow stuff, or the still
- 21:59Speaker 2: stuff is where I can sit there and I'll just
- 22:01Speaker 2: stare at it and I'm looking for it. With this,
- 22:06Speaker 2: you catch me up in the action, I'm with you,
- 22:10Speaker 2: I'm there and I'll you know. But setting aside the
- 22:14Speaker 2: volume work, I think that the chase through the atmosphere
- 22:20Speaker 2: is like for me, that's the thing where I look
- 22:25Speaker 2: at that completely CG rendered chase and the ships look
- 22:32Speaker 2: like models, and the cloud like it looks so photo
- 22:39Speaker 2: realistic that it's one of those things where you just
- 22:41Speaker 2: sort of shake your head in awe where you see
- 22:44Speaker 2: this love of craft expressed and I want to shout
- 22:50Speaker 2: it from the rooftops. Nobody cares how much your movie
- 22:54Speaker 2: costs if you have people with a love of the
- 22:57Speaker 2: craft putting it together, because that is what people will
- 23:03Speaker 2: respond to, is that. That's what I responded to. For
- 23:07Speaker 2: instance with Avatar Way of Water was there were self
- 23:11Speaker 2: indulgent scenes all over that movie, but the effects were
- 23:15Speaker 2: so painstakingly crafted. I didn't care who did what when
- 23:22Speaker 2: I just enjoyed looking at and going wow, look at that. Yeah,
- 23:28Speaker 2: and the chase of the atmosphere here, I.
- 23:31Speaker 3: Think to that. You got to give credit to Peyton Reid,
- 23:36Speaker 3: who's the director here. I think he does a great
- 23:41Speaker 3: job of setting the stage for all of this stuff.
- 23:46Speaker 3: He does a great job, I think of making sure
- 23:48Speaker 3: that we never get lost and where we are in
- 23:53Speaker 3: the in the episode, you know, where we are in
- 23:55Speaker 3: the locations that we're at. I think all of that's
- 23:58Speaker 3: really well done, and that's some opressive and that's important
- 24:02Speaker 3: in Star Wars. One of the big things about Star
- 24:05Speaker 3: Wars is that you have a sense of location, right,
- 24:09Speaker 3: and so I think he did a great job in
- 24:13Speaker 3: that aspect, and I'm really glad to see that.
- 24:16Speaker 1: You know.
- 24:17Speaker 3: Also, you know, we talked last time just about the
- 24:22Speaker 3: way in which this cinematography did feel slightly off just
- 24:27Speaker 3: a little bit, uh, but the cinematographer is the same
- 24:33Speaker 3: one as the previous episode here, and this episode I
- 24:36Speaker 3: think looks phenomenal. I think part of that is you're
- 24:39Speaker 3: not trying to do the bright tattooing suns, so you're
- 24:43Speaker 3: able to play more with light and dark and shadows
- 24:46Speaker 3: and all that kind of stuff, the but not too
- 24:50Speaker 3: dark like exactly, and the eerodes blue that comes with
- 24:54Speaker 3: the ice, and I just it was that's one of
- 24:56Speaker 3: the plays. Like this episode is just really really good
- 24:59Speaker 3: in that point. So yeah, I really actually like this episode.
- 25:03Speaker 3: I really enjoyed rewatching this episode, and I'm so excited
- 25:08Speaker 3: that we decided to do this because I'm having a
- 25:11Speaker 3: blast at this point digging back into the Mandalorian here
- 25:15Speaker 3: season two and knowing that one of my favorite episodes
- 25:18Speaker 3: is coming up next with the airis I just I
- 25:22Speaker 3: can't wait.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Man, I can't wait either, But I think we need
- 25:27Speaker 2: to excuse ourselves so that we can go watch that.
- 25:30Speaker 2: But before we do, Matt, where can people find you online?
- 25:33Speaker 3: Well, you can find me all over social media under
- 25:35Speaker 3: the name Matt Rushking zero two. Of course, here on
- 25:38Speaker 3: the network you'll find me with a completed show as
- 25:40Speaker 3: well called outposts about every single chapter of the Harry Potter series.
- 25:43Speaker 3: You also find me over on the TFM network with
- 25:47Speaker 3: a bunch of different shows. One's called the six oh
- 25:50Speaker 3: two Club, as we talk about all of the franchises
- 25:52Speaker 3: we love outside of Star Trek, and there's also a
- 25:55Speaker 3: lot of great Star Trek talk I do over there
- 25:57Speaker 3: with my good friend Chris Jones on say the orb
- 25:59Speaker 3: or or War five, those type of places. And of course,
- 26:03Speaker 3: at some point Strange New World will be back, and
- 26:07Speaker 3: so we'll talk about that again. But John, if people
- 26:10Speaker 3: want to see what you've got going on these days.
- 26:12Speaker 2: Where would they find you? Well, you can find me
- 26:14Speaker 2: as cassel Junkie on any social network that I'm active on.
- 26:18Speaker 2: Visit me on Letterbox where I review movies because I
- 26:21Speaker 2: love doing that, And you can find me right here
- 26:23Speaker 2: on the network, co hosting a show called house Lights
- 26:26Speaker 2: with Tristia Medel and Darren Moser, where we look at
- 26:29Speaker 2: the works of different film directors and characters and franchises
- 26:34Speaker 2: and all sorts of zany combinations that we love to do.
- 26:38Speaker 2: We've been on the air for quite some time. Why
- 26:40Speaker 2: didn't you come on over and check us out over
- 26:42Speaker 2: there on house Lights? But master rushing, you know, like
- 26:48Speaker 2: we said, there are things we need to watch and
- 26:51Speaker 2: get ready for for next time. And additionally, I really
- 26:56Speaker 2: have to talk with the chef back at the Temple
- 26:58Speaker 2: because he said that there are eggs on the menu
- 27:00Speaker 2: and I've got to make sure that these are ethically sourced.
- 27:02Speaker 2: So I think it's time to close these negotiations.
- 27:05Speaker 3: Negotiations are close.
- 27:27Speaker 1: Join the Revolution, Join the Nerd Party.
