- 0:03Speaker 1: What's up everybody. I know you guys are just starting
- 0:06Speaker 1: to trickle in. But this is Beard Laws episode thirty one,
- 0:09Speaker 1: and it's a pretty cool episode. I mean I think
- 0:12Speaker 1: it is, but maybe you guys will think it's pretty mediocre.
- 0:15Speaker 1: And that's okay too. So what we're gonna do is
- 0:18Speaker 1: like always gonna hit you guys with a quick intro,
- 0:21Speaker 1: and then we're gonna get into the introduction, and then
- 0:22Speaker 1: we're gonna introduce a new well, it's like kind of
- 0:25Speaker 1: a new segment. It's a segment that we're gonna we're
- 0:28Speaker 1: gonna upgrade. Is some of the hicks know there, you
- 0:32Speaker 1: got your your your normal stock Chevy truck or logan
- 0:35Speaker 1: like Dodge, I guess, and then you're gonna put like
- 0:37Speaker 1: a lift kit and some new tires and some stabilizers
- 0:40Speaker 1: and all sorts of cool stuff in those little racks
- 0:42Speaker 1: with all the cool lights and and some people put
- 0:45Speaker 1: the whips on there, like the antennas, and yeah, we're
- 0:47Speaker 1: just gonna upgrade a really cool segment. So uh, let's
- 0:50Speaker 1: hit you guys the intro and we're gonna get into this.
- 0:52Speaker 1: I just gotta remember where the new intro is that
- 0:55Speaker 1: that's right, here. Uh, okay, see in a minute again.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Welcome back. I'm Matt and uh, the co host logan,
- 1:15Speaker 1: he's gonna be here. He's backstage. Uh he's he's just
- 1:19Speaker 1: you know, tidying up the backstage because we have two
- 1:21Speaker 1: special guests back there. He wants to make sure the
- 1:23Speaker 1: food's good, the drinks are good, and everything's really good
- 1:26Speaker 1: for him. So, like I said, sets here, he says yo.
- 1:32Speaker 1: That's all he says is yo. And then ooh, you
- 1:36Speaker 1: cute me he had. I'm okay, I was gonna go
- 1:41Speaker 1: with the half backwards, but we're gonna go half forwards
- 1:43Speaker 1: because I can't. I can't rock the hat because the
- 1:45Speaker 1: featured guest tonight rocks a hat backwards way better than me,
- 1:49Speaker 1: and I can't. I can't let him show I can't
- 1:51Speaker 1: show him up. I can't let him show me up.
- 1:53Speaker 1: So we settled it out backstage. We did a little
- 1:55Speaker 1: rock paper scissors. I went scissors every time he went.
- 2:00Speaker 1: I thought he'd go paper every time, because you know
- 2:02Speaker 1: he's an artist, but he went rock. He got me good.
- 2:06Speaker 1: So again, I'm at And this is Beard Laws, episode
- 2:09Speaker 1: thirty one. This is the thirty first time that we
- 2:11Speaker 1: did this it's pretty crazy. And last week Logan had
- 2:15Speaker 1: some technical difficulties, but he's got things figured out, except
- 2:18Speaker 1: for sitting in front of the chair looking at the camera.
- 2:22Speaker 1: He hasn't quite figured that out, but I have I
- 2:24Speaker 1: have a good feeling he might be here. And Mark
- 2:26Speaker 1: Jones is here, so that's really cool. And Jeff's here.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Oh hey, look at what do you got going on
- 2:31Speaker 1: with your hair? Is that real life right now? I'd
- 2:36Speaker 1: like to say COVID streating you well, but it's a
- 2:38Speaker 1: little it's a little rough. I could cut your hair
- 2:41Speaker 1: if you want, or I mean maybe that's a look. Yeah,
- 2:46Speaker 1: I think that's what the cool kids are doing, right
- 2:49Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm just a little jealous because I
- 2:50Speaker 1: can't grow hair like that, don't I don't really grow
- 2:53Speaker 1: hair right here. But I'm gonna get into the quick
- 2:57Speaker 1: little ad that that I if I say it, then
- 3:01Speaker 1: I get a little extra kick back to the streams.
- 3:05Speaker 1: So let's do that. I just got to find it,
- 3:08Speaker 1: hold on, hold on, hold on, And it's supposed to
- 3:12Speaker 1: be read at nine to oh five, but it's nine
- 3:14Speaker 1: oh four and I'm excited for the segment, so let's

- 4:11Speaker 1: have any questions. You need any help, hit me up,
- 4:13Speaker 1: I got you. I'm pretty mediocre at this stuff now,
- 4:15Speaker 1: so just trying to fit in. Oh, I got you. Hey,
- 4:19Speaker 1: what's happening from Alberta, Canada? I've heard of that. That's
- 4:23Speaker 1: a province in Canada. I did that on a trivia
- 4:27Speaker 1: show once. All right, let's let's introduce the co host
- 4:31Speaker 1: of the show who finally figured out how to sit
- 4:33Speaker 1: in front of the camera. I knew he could do it.
- 4:35Speaker 1: The one, the only logan this.
- 4:40Speaker 2: I didn't.
- 4:40Speaker 1: I didn't forgot what was after there.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Spectaculer logan, the red four, the five head look out.
- 4:46Speaker 3: That's glossy. That is a sunburn of all sunburns.
- 4:50Speaker 1: It could be worse. Well, let you know, you know
- 4:53Speaker 1: what they say, always use protection. Anyways, So, as many
- 5:01Speaker 1: of you know, or some of you know, we tried
- 5:04Speaker 1: to do a featured artist of the week, and we
- 5:07Speaker 1: had Madeline Janelle Art, we had Rude Commissions, we had
- 5:11Speaker 1: Kyle Cushman Local Dude, which was make art, not Crystal Math.
- 5:16Speaker 1: We were off to a very good start and then
- 5:18Speaker 1: it just kind of faded away. Most of it's on me,
- 5:20Speaker 1: little bits on logan. We just weren't able to bring
- 5:23Speaker 1: in the artists like we thought we could. So we
- 5:26Speaker 1: are teaming up with somebody absolutely amazing, and we're going
- 5:29Speaker 1: to mix up the segment. We're going to come up
- 5:31Speaker 1: with potentially a new name. So tonight, for the first time,
- 5:34Speaker 1: episode thirty one, we're going to kind of announce and
- 5:37Speaker 1: just kind of give a little bit of a chat
- 5:39Speaker 1: of what we see this segment and how you can
- 5:42Speaker 1: interact and how you can be a part of it.
- 5:44Speaker 1: So I'm gonna do the intro anyways real quick because
- 5:46Speaker 1: I thought it was cool, and then we're probably going
- 5:48Speaker 1: to switch it up into a new intro with the
- 5:51Speaker 1: co host, the new co host of this segment, So
- 5:55Speaker 1: be prepared. We're going to do this. Then we're gonna
- 5:57Speaker 1: introduce it, because that's the real reason that I think
- 5:59Speaker 1: you guys are here is to see the guests that
- 6:01Speaker 1: we have tonight, not me and him. You guys can
- 6:03Speaker 1: see us really anytime. So let's do a little segment
- 6:05Speaker 1: and then we're gonna get We're gonna bring the guests in.
- 6:37Speaker 1: That was cool, and I gotta switch the logo too,
- 6:39Speaker 1: all right, So without further ado, let's bring in the
- 6:42Speaker 1: one the Only Madeline Janelle Are what's happening? Hey, welcome back,
- 6:49Speaker 1: Welcome back. So, like I kind of mentioned a little
- 6:52Speaker 1: bit before we we did the featured artist you were
- 6:55Speaker 1: you were one of them as well of Root Commissions
- 6:58Speaker 1: Kyle Cushman and stuff like that, and it has potential.
- 7:01Speaker 1: But the way that kind of we see it in
- 7:04Speaker 1: our business brains, we're going back and forth, we see
- 7:06Speaker 1: it being even bigger and better in appealing to much
- 7:10Speaker 1: much bigger audience. Right, So, Yeah, if you want to
- 7:14Speaker 1: just kind of talk and just kind of let them
- 7:17Speaker 1: know what we're kind of thinking and maybe where we
- 7:19Speaker 1: can where you know, they can kind of throw some
- 7:22Speaker 1: ideas or concepts or how they can be a part
- 7:25Speaker 1: of it.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:26Speaker 4: Absolutely, So basically what we're thinking of doing instead of
- 7:30Speaker 4: just calling it an art segment is maybe like a
- 7:32Speaker 4: creator Corner or anything like that that just generalizes anybody
- 7:37Speaker 4: that can create something with their hands, whether it's a painting,
- 7:39Speaker 4: word work piece and metalworking, repurposing coke bottles for whatever reason.
- 7:45Speaker 4: We really want to bring those kinds of minds on
- 7:48Speaker 4: the show. So what we're looking for is a name
- 7:52Speaker 4: change instead of the art segment. Let's come up with
- 7:55Speaker 4: something that's really open for everybody and really want to
- 8:00Speaker 4: expand outside of TikTok. Even though TikTok's great for finding
- 8:04Speaker 4: creators and any kind of artists, it would be fantastic
- 8:07Speaker 4: to branch outside of that to give people that don't
- 8:10Speaker 4: really like TikTok or maybe don't get their work seen
- 8:13Speaker 4: the way that they need to and they're bigger maybe
- 8:16Speaker 4: on Instagram or Twitter, Facebook, whatever. We really need those
- 8:20Speaker 4: kinds of creators here. So the best thing that any
- 8:22Speaker 4: of you guys can do as the viewers is email
- 8:26Speaker 4: Beard Laws, go to the website, go to the contact forum,
- 8:29Speaker 4: give them your suggestions, put your suggestions in the chat
- 8:32Speaker 4: for the new art segment.
- 8:33Speaker 5: And if you have a link to your favorite.
- 8:36Speaker 4: Artists that's either on or outside of TikTok social media,
- 8:39Speaker 4: get their website, get their contact information, ask them if
- 8:42Speaker 4: they'd be willing to be on the podcast to promote themselves.
- 8:44Speaker 4: It's free and they meet great people and you guys
- 8:47Speaker 4: have a great audience, so I think that would really
- 8:49Speaker 4: be helpful.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Yeah, and if even the artist doesn't want to physically,
- 8:54Speaker 1: you know, be in front of a camera, be on there,
- 8:57Speaker 1: they can send us all the stuff they can send
- 8:58Speaker 1: us a link to their stuff. They can show us
- 9:00Speaker 1: some pieces of work, some videos, and then we can
- 9:02Speaker 1: showcase it for you, so don't feel like you need to.
- 9:05Speaker 1: And like she said, if you want to email, you can.
- 9:07Speaker 1: You can email Matt at beard laws dot com. Logan
- 9:09Speaker 1: has an email address. I'm not quite sure he knows
- 9:11Speaker 1: how to read, but he does have an email address,
- 9:13Speaker 1: Logan at beard laws dot com. And we Instagram as well.
- 9:16Speaker 1: You guys can send a message there. And what else
- 9:19Speaker 1: we need to think about is once we kind of
- 9:21Speaker 1: come up with a concept of a name, we'd like
- 9:23Speaker 1: to kind of make it a fun contest. We threw
- 9:25Speaker 1: the idea out about potentially everybody just throw any names
- 9:28Speaker 1: you want at us, whether you you know tag us
- 9:31Speaker 1: on TikTok or I did a post earlier today, send
- 9:34Speaker 1: it to us in an email, send it to us
- 9:35Speaker 1: on Instagram. And then what we're gonna do is we're
- 9:37Speaker 1: gonna pick the ones that we think are really cool,
- 9:40Speaker 1: and maybe we'll do like a top five or something
- 9:42Speaker 1: like that, and then have the fans or friends or
- 9:45Speaker 1: people out there just kind of vote which ones you like,
- 9:48Speaker 1: and then we'll kind of announce the winner and whoever
- 9:50Speaker 1: has the winning idea, we'll throw something in your way.
- 9:53Speaker 1: We'll make it fun, you know. And there's so many
- 9:55Speaker 1: creative people that are out there. I only know a
- 9:59Speaker 1: handful of them. She knows so many people that are creative.
- 10:03Speaker 1: So it's it's gonna be a great segment and it's
- 10:06Speaker 1: going to evolve into something I think absolutely amazing. Maybe
- 10:08Speaker 1: the first episode or two we're still trying to kind
- 10:11Speaker 1: of get our feet wet and see where it's going
- 10:12Speaker 1: to go. But it's it's the ideas that we have
- 10:16Speaker 1: are really cool and we don't really need to get
- 10:18Speaker 1: into details of exactly, but the end goal is pretty cool.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Oh yeah, and.
- 10:23Speaker 4: Next week we'll be back with some T shirt designs
- 10:26Speaker 4: for all of the viewers to kind of put their
- 10:28Speaker 4: input on. So make sure you guys get everybody that
- 10:32Speaker 4: loves Beard Lies get them all in here next week
- 10:34Speaker 4: at the same time, so that way you guys can
- 10:36Speaker 4: all vote, because the winning T shirt idea will get
- 10:39Speaker 4: a free T shirt, will just randomly pick somebody, So
- 10:42Speaker 4: you guys have to get in here, and the more
- 10:44Speaker 4: votes for your favorite T shirt design is a better
- 10:47Speaker 4: chance for.
- 10:47Speaker 1: You to win it, exactly. Yeah, And it's a you know,
- 10:50Speaker 1: there's gonna be some cool stuff with shirts, potentially stickers.
- 10:53Speaker 1: There's gonna be some cool stuff coming along. So and
- 10:56Speaker 1: like I said, you guys, maybe you guys are just
- 10:58Speaker 1: tuning in. Maybe you guys you know, skipped the first
- 11:00Speaker 1: eleven minutes and you're like, let's get into the meat
- 11:02Speaker 1: of this episode when we're on YouTube. So what we're
- 11:04Speaker 1: going to do is we need you to submit the
- 11:07Speaker 1: idea of what you would like for the name, and
- 11:09Speaker 1: it could be anything, anything that you get creative with
- 11:11Speaker 1: your hands, whether it's metal, would you know, visual or
- 11:14Speaker 1: anything like that, because there's so many amazing creative people
- 11:17Speaker 1: and we just want to we want to segment. If
- 11:19Speaker 1: you don't physically want to be in front of the
- 11:21Speaker 1: camera to kind of have your time to shine in there,
- 11:23Speaker 1: that's fine, we'll do it for you. We like to
- 11:25Speaker 1: be in front of the camera. But we wanted the
- 11:27Speaker 1: whole point is to showcase you, or showcase people that
- 11:30Speaker 1: maybe don't have the the the eyes on them, you know,
- 11:32Speaker 1: whether they don't have the right viewers, maybe they're not
- 11:35Speaker 1: set up on the right platforms. We want to kind
- 11:37Speaker 1: of just show it and just show you to a
- 11:39Speaker 1: whole different kind of bearded community.
- 11:41Speaker 3: So if anything, it's going to help us.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Yeah, let us help you, help us, help him help. Yeah,
- 11:52Speaker 1: and that's what it's all about. And uh yeah, it's
- 11:54Speaker 1: it's gonna be pretty awesome. We've we've been brainstorming for
- 11:57Speaker 1: a couple of weeks now, so yeah, we're pretty excited.
- 12:01Speaker 1: And uh, you know, maybe not every single week she's
- 12:04Speaker 1: gonna be able to make it, and that's fine because
- 12:06Speaker 1: we're still gonna work behind the scenes to come up
- 12:08Speaker 1: with either an artist here or a concept and just
- 12:11Speaker 1: try to make this, you know, in every week thing
- 12:12Speaker 1: and uh, you guys, you guys will be pretty uh
- 12:15Speaker 1: pretty happy, I think with what's gonna come from this.
- 12:18Speaker 1: What about beard sculpting, you are getting very good. I was,
- 12:21Speaker 1: I was saying, how you you got the rubber bands
- 12:24Speaker 1: so you can do more Viking beard sculpting. I would
- 12:27Speaker 1: love to see beard sculpting. And I know there is
- 12:29Speaker 1: a huge bearded community in the freestyle community that that
- 12:33Speaker 1: loves the great here. He could he does, he could
- 12:36Speaker 1: do some freestyle stuff, but any but he can do
- 12:38Speaker 1: the stuff. And in Canada too, because he's he's from Alberta, Canada.
- 12:42Speaker 1: They do the freezing beards where they sit in like
- 12:45Speaker 1: a hot spring and let the beard and hair freeze,
- 12:48Speaker 1: but they set the design and then it freezes and
- 12:51Speaker 1: then that's a contest too. So oh that's a big
- 12:54Speaker 1: thing that's been going on for a long time.
- 12:56Speaker 5: Yeah, liken't that be heavy?
- 13:01Speaker 1: Yeah? Probably not as heavy as a six pack of
- 13:03Speaker 1: doctor pepper?
- 13:03Speaker 2: Is there?
- 13:05Speaker 5: Like I think you would know that hurts.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not a great time, but it's not bad.
- 13:09Speaker 1: But there's a there's a lot of people that come
- 13:12Speaker 1: on the Talking Beard Show that's every Tuesday. Facebook dot
- 13:14Speaker 1: com slash Talking Beards and their news guys really cool
- 13:17Speaker 1: I heard, but yeah, they have a lot of guys
- 13:19Speaker 1: that are in the bearded community beard contests that do
- 13:22Speaker 1: the freestyle, and the freestyle is awesome. It's something that
- 13:25Speaker 1: that I never thought I had the capability, But now
- 13:27Speaker 1: Meg's around, so she loves that. She's a sculpting major.
- 13:32Speaker 5: Freestyle Like you freestyle sculpt your own beard?
- 13:35Speaker 1: Yeah, you do any kind of concept. That's when you
- 13:37Speaker 1: see like some people do the big spikes or the
- 13:40Speaker 1: circles or and all that stuff. That's the freestyle categories
- 13:43Speaker 1: that's interesting.
- 13:44Speaker 4: Would you be willing to have people that actually do
- 13:48Speaker 4: beard sculpting regularly, like maybe have two come on at
- 13:51Speaker 4: the same time, and you could do like a contest
- 13:53Speaker 4: like some time when they have ten minutes to do
- 13:55Speaker 4: their best sculpting and then.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know ten minutes as long because I
- 14:00Speaker 1: know it takes those guys hours, but I'd love to
- 14:01Speaker 1: have any of them come on and just kind of
- 14:03Speaker 1: talk about their routine. And the coolest thing too, is,
- 14:06Speaker 1: like Meg just said, there's a female category. They do
- 14:08Speaker 1: a whiskerina category, so you don't have to have a beard,
- 14:11Speaker 1: but they do a realistic category and this is every
- 14:13Speaker 1: beard contest and the best part of beard contests are
- 14:16Speaker 1: that all the money that people raise goes to charity.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Every contest is charity driven. So they have a whiskerena category.
- 14:22Speaker 1: So they do realistic so you actually get kind of
- 14:25Speaker 1: wigs and stuff like that and style them, or you
- 14:27Speaker 1: can just have any kind of freestyle contest. I think
- 14:31Speaker 1: the person that just won the talking beards category actually
- 14:34Speaker 1: made a beard out of Ramen noodles nice, so she
- 14:36Speaker 1: had Ramen noodle beards and a Ramen noodle shirt and
- 14:39Speaker 1: just like the packaging and stuff like that and just
- 14:41Speaker 1: kind of played the whole theme and it got the
- 14:43Speaker 1: most votes.
- 14:44Speaker 5: Most cost efficient cosplay ever.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Yes, right, and then I'm trying to think. Oh, then one,
- 14:49Speaker 1: because of the whole quarantine, they made a beard out
- 14:51Speaker 1: of toilet paper, so that was that was pretty cool.
- 14:54Speaker 1: But a lot of the Whiskerina stuff and every once
- 14:56Speaker 1: in a while you see the videos kind of circulate
- 14:58Speaker 1: on Facebook and stuff like that where you know the
- 15:01Speaker 1: whole TikTok concept where like they take a product or
- 15:04Speaker 1: a basketball or something, they do something then throw it.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Well a lot of them were they I don't know
- 15:08Speaker 1: if they were sponsored or they just all use that brand,
- 15:11Speaker 1: but the styling or the hair stuff that just makes
- 15:14Speaker 1: your hair stay in place, they would do this and
- 15:16Speaker 1: then they'd show the camera come back with the free
- 15:18Speaker 1: style beard, throw it to the next and yeah, it's
- 15:22Speaker 1: pretty cool. I'll send you the I'll send you the
- 15:23Speaker 1: link of it. It's a it's a whole new world. See,
- 15:26Speaker 1: we're we're educating you into the beard world as well.
- 15:29Speaker 5: Absolutely.
- 15:30Speaker 3: Madelin makes a cool point though, instead of like ten minutes,
- 15:33Speaker 3: so like you can you can introduce like the two
- 15:35Speaker 3: people at the beginning of the show and then like
- 15:39Speaker 3: have them in the in the you know, in the background,
- 15:42Speaker 3: show them everyone. They would have the hour. By the
- 15:45Speaker 3: end of the hour, they got to sculpt their beard.
- 15:47Speaker 3: That would be a pretty great idea. Note I read
- 15:50Speaker 3: that and that is this is my shirt?
- 15:54Speaker 1: What's up, Tyler? But yeah, a lot of exciting things
- 15:56Speaker 1: coming in with this segment. Sky's the Limit and uh,
- 15:59Speaker 1: it's be pretty cool and it's gonna be awesome to
- 16:02Speaker 1: kind of see, you know, Madeleine's concept and everything and
- 16:06Speaker 1: the connections that she has and just kind of blend
- 16:09Speaker 1: everything together. So mark to come and we'll be posting
- 16:13Speaker 1: stuff on there. So if anybody has any ideas, Kennedy,
- 16:16Speaker 1: where's your fancy ideas? I know your creative mind, come
- 16:18Speaker 1: up with what we should name this segment, and maybe
- 16:20Speaker 1: you can win yourself a free T shirt or something,
- 16:22Speaker 1: and stay tuned. Next week. Madeline's gonna have a couple
- 16:25Speaker 1: of concepts for T shirts. So we're gonna do some
- 16:27Speaker 1: voting and maybe we'll announce it next week, give them
- 16:30Speaker 1: a week, let the votes come in or something like that,
- 16:32Speaker 1: maybe reveal it. We'll come up with something cool like that.
- 16:35Speaker 5: But I'll have it up on the Instagram and you
- 16:38Speaker 5: can have it up on yours too.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Yep, absolutely, yeah, make sure. Yeah, So why don't you
- 16:43Speaker 1: tell everybody where they can find you. I'll put you
- 16:44Speaker 1: on the big screen kind of let her be where
- 16:46Speaker 1: they can find you, what you got going on, and
- 16:48Speaker 1: then we'll let you get going.
- 16:51Speaker 4: I am on TikTok as Madeline Janel Art and also
- 16:55Speaker 4: on Instagram as Madelin Janel Art. I have Twitter that
- 16:58Speaker 4: I'm not really active on because it's Twitter and I
- 17:01Speaker 4: don't play into the drama. I also have a YouTube
- 17:04Speaker 4: channel here, so be sure to check that out. And
- 17:06Speaker 4: my website's Madeline art dot com.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Yeah, make sure you guys check her out on all
- 17:12Speaker 1: the social media's and almost every single Thursday at nine,
- 17:16Speaker 1: like oh five ish, she's gonna be on the show,
- 17:18Speaker 1: and you're gonna see a lot of people that you
- 17:21Speaker 1: you might have never seen in the art community. And
- 17:23Speaker 1: I know it's something that that really fascinates me, and
- 17:26Speaker 1: I love art, I just can't really do art, so
- 17:29Speaker 1: like it's just always something that that always Yeah, yeah,
- 17:33Speaker 1: I got the beard. Now I'm trying to do beard.
- 17:36Speaker 1: The art of growing hair, that's what I'm into.
- 17:40Speaker 5: Maintaining it with doctor Pepper bottles.
- 17:43Speaker 1: True, I don't want to bring that back. So if
- 17:45Speaker 1: you're out there recovering, you know, good, good for you,
- 17:48Speaker 1: But no more soda soda wars.
- 17:50Speaker 5: Let's do candy this.
- 17:52Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, candy might be a sticky situation. Seriously, Thank
- 17:57Speaker 1: you so much for not only taking the time, but
- 17:59Speaker 1: the work that we've done behind the scenes. And we'll
- 18:02Speaker 1: we'll chat soon and I'm excited to see where this goes. Bye, guys,
- 18:05Speaker 1: all right, see you later.
- 18:07Speaker 3: Yep, that's gonna be cool.
- 18:10Speaker 1: Yeah, it's gonna be a really really cool Oh well,
- 18:14Speaker 1: if you're still behind the sade, Christina says, hi, mm hm,
- 18:19Speaker 1: So yeah, it's gonna be uh yeah, thanks for popping
- 18:21Speaker 1: in checking out the live. It's gonna be a really
- 18:23Speaker 1: cool segment. And we're really excited. And know what else,
- 18:25Speaker 1: we're really excited. And what else is kind of our
- 18:29Speaker 1: our guest. We have a very amazing guest that we've
- 18:32Speaker 1: that we spoke about in the social media we've ever
- 18:34Speaker 1: time it advertised it, Barman Arts. So let's let's hit
- 18:39Speaker 1: the intro and uh, I think he's ready backstage. Yeah,
- 18:42Speaker 1: he's ready. So here we're gonna do. We're gonna hit
- 18:44Speaker 1: the intro. We're gonna bring the guest in, so stay tuned.
- 18:47Speaker 1: It's gonna be pretty cool. It's gonna be worth your time.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Definitely gonna be worth your time. Sure, Yeah, I mean
- 18:52Speaker 1: to talk to him, not not us, because us. All right, Yeah,
- 18:56Speaker 1: let's do it. I got lost there for a minute
- 19:19Speaker 1: on camera. I jerked when I should have jived. What
- 19:21Speaker 1: a rookie moveokie. So one of my favorite arts of
- 19:24Speaker 1: the show is the is announcing the intro for our
- 19:27Speaker 1: amazing guess so here it is, like we said, it's
- 19:30Speaker 1: gonna be Barman Arts, and I'm excited for this. He's
- 19:34Speaker 1: a man who cuts more than Freddy Krueger, a man
- 19:37Speaker 1: who has more patience in his artwork than a monk.
- 19:40Speaker 1: A man who got more views on his Bob Ross
- 19:42Speaker 1: Chia pet plant than Bob Ross himself did. A man
- 19:46Speaker 1: who was rocking a respirator before it was mandatory during
- 19:49Speaker 1: the coronavirus pandemic. A man who was taking a concept
- 19:51Speaker 1: of art on TikTok that nobody has stolen yet, and
- 19:54Speaker 1: that's pretty tough to do. A man who is not
- 19:57Speaker 1: who does not read the rules on scratch off lottery tickets,
- 20:01Speaker 1: just goes in and goes for a man who just
- 20:03Speaker 1: hit two hundred thousand followers on TikTok, the one the
- 20:07Speaker 1: only barban What what's up man?
- 20:13Speaker 2: The best intro ever?
- 20:15Speaker 1: Yes, nailed that. That's what I strive to. That's what
- 20:17Speaker 1: I really try to get. Is that laughter?
- 20:21Speaker 2: You probably laughing so hard over here?
- 20:23Speaker 1: Yeah, the delivery was a little bit off. I messed
- 20:25Speaker 1: up on the I got I got tripped up on
- 20:27Speaker 1: my own. I had a typo and then I started
- 20:29Speaker 1: reading the squiggly red line and I was trying.
- 20:31Speaker 2: To fix the matter. Nailed it. Nailed it.
- 20:34Speaker 1: That's not bad. That's not bad. It will be there.
- 20:36Speaker 1: But yeah, I mean so first off, you know, congratulations
- 20:40Speaker 1: on two hundred thousand followers. That's quite the achievement. And
- 20:43Speaker 1: it's pretty awesome. It's pretty good.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Yeah, it was pretty shocked to do it that fast.
- 20:48Speaker 2: I mean it was about five and a half six months.
- 20:51Speaker 2: But still, I mean that's fast, you know.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Very fast, but well deserved. I mean, you're you're doing
- 20:55Speaker 1: a concept on here that, like I mentioned, I see
- 21:00Speaker 1: so many people that come in with the concept of
- 21:01Speaker 1: art or what they're doing for art, and then next thing,
- 21:05Speaker 1: you know, you see ten fifteen twenty thirty different people
- 21:07Speaker 1: doing the same exact concept and charging maybe a little
- 21:11Speaker 1: bit less just to kind of kind of undermine them.
- 21:14Speaker 1: But the concept that you're doing is not only absolutely amazing,
- 21:18Speaker 1: not only does it take patience, but it's so unique,
- 21:21Speaker 1: and I think that's that's amazing that you're able to
- 21:24Speaker 1: showcase it to the world and nobody's brave enough to
- 21:26Speaker 1: try to steal it yet.
- 21:27Speaker 2: Yeah, thanks dude, I appreciate it.
- 21:29Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Yes, we've actually had two people or two or three
- 21:33Speaker 2: people on Instagram dm me and they've tried it. One
- 21:37Speaker 2: of them figured it out because there are some little secrets,
- 21:39Speaker 2: you know. Yeah, one person actually nailed it from I
- 21:45Speaker 2: think South Korea or yeah, over there somewhere, and yeah,
- 21:50Speaker 2: it was awesome, but the other ones are still still researching.
- 21:53Speaker 1: How to do it perfect. Yeah that's uh, yeah, it's
- 21:56Speaker 1: really cool. And even if they do, you're the og
- 21:59Speaker 1: of it that's out there and just killing it. One
- 22:02Speaker 1: question that I that I like to start off and
- 22:04Speaker 1: I ask every single guest that, especially that's on TikTok
- 22:07Speaker 1: because we typically interview TikTok people, is kind of everyone's
- 22:12Speaker 1: story on why they got on it. And they're you know,
- 22:14Speaker 1: how they got started on TikTok and why is very unique.
- 22:18Speaker 1: So I want to ask you what got you into
- 22:20Speaker 1: it and kind of what's the story behind it?
- 22:23Speaker 2: Right. So my ax, her daughter, was on musically when
- 22:28Speaker 2: it was musically before I turned to TikTok. I mean
- 22:31Speaker 2: religiously all day every day. I always doing like dance
- 22:35Speaker 2: dances and all that stuff, and you know, all the time.
- 22:38Speaker 2: So then when it became TikTok, she was telling me,
- 22:42Speaker 2: you know, there's a few artists, you know, you should
- 22:44Speaker 2: do some art stuff. I mean, she's ten years old.
- 22:47Speaker 2: I was like this, obviously, like a little kids app.
- 22:49Speaker 2: I'm not gonna you know, I'm not going to get
- 22:52Speaker 2: on there. But then I saw an artist from Philly.
- 22:55Speaker 2: He used it. He only used it just to edit videos.
- 22:58Speaker 2: He never posted a videos. He'd edited the videos, you know,
- 23:00Speaker 2: and save him and he posted on Instagram one day
- 23:04Speaker 2: and I was like, wow, you can actually edit and
- 23:05Speaker 2: make your videos like pretty cool on here. So I
- 23:07Speaker 2: ended up downloading it, editing a few videos, posting him
- 23:10Speaker 2: on my Instagram stories, and then moved from upstate New
- 23:14Speaker 2: York down to Raleigh, North Carolina. And that's when I
- 23:16Speaker 2: just really got into it more.
- 23:18Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yes, smart move, smart move. Yeah yeah. So
- 23:24Speaker 1: was obviously it kind of transitions to the next question.
- 23:27Speaker 1: I usually asked, like, do you remember one of the
- 23:29Speaker 1: first people that followed was that actually the artist from
- 23:32Speaker 1: Philly or was it somebody else?
- 23:34Speaker 2: No? No, Actually, one of the first people I followed,
- 23:38Speaker 2: I think was only JS. Okay, oh my cat, she's
- 23:44Speaker 2: the one that does like all the psychology videos yep,
- 23:47Speaker 2: and she was doing like all that crazy. She was
- 23:49Speaker 2: talking about things that I might do to you know,
- 23:53Speaker 2: mess people's brains whatever, And she was actually one of
- 23:56Speaker 2: the first people I followed. So I didn't actually really
- 23:58Speaker 2: start following any art people like a couple of weeks actually,
- 24:02Speaker 2: because I couldn't really find anything like interesting. Not to
- 24:05Speaker 2: like hate on other artists, but you know what I mean,
- 24:07Speaker 2: I've seen a ton of art videos and I realized, Okay,
- 24:10Speaker 2: I can start supporting these people actually.
- 24:12Speaker 1: So yeah, and that's the same kind of thing with me.
- 24:14Speaker 1: Like I said, I'm really into art. I'm not an artist.
- 24:16Speaker 1: I don't do that stuff, but it really intrigues me.
- 24:18Speaker 1: But when you see the same kind of concepts all
- 24:20Speaker 1: the time, it's like, eh, but then you see a
- 24:22Speaker 1: concept that isn't being done and maybe the first one
- 24:26Speaker 1: or maybe they're just the first one that you saw.
- 24:28Speaker 1: That's what really gets me, and that's kind of what
- 24:29Speaker 1: got me following you. Is just it was just something
- 24:32Speaker 1: that was like, Wow, Yeah, I just appreciate the hard
- 24:35Speaker 1: work and everything that I don't even have any idea.
- 24:38Speaker 1: I just know it takes a hell of a long
- 24:40Speaker 1: time and skill to do what you do, and it's
- 24:43Speaker 1: just a really cool thing. And yeah, and yeah, there's
- 24:46Speaker 1: there's a couple other people like you said that you know,
- 24:48Speaker 1: and obviously Madeline her concept, her technique, her style and
- 24:52Speaker 1: the different ideas that she does is something that that
- 24:56Speaker 1: you know, caught my attention as well. So I like
- 24:59Speaker 1: to ask, is, do you remember the first video that
- 25:02Speaker 1: kind of went viral on TikTok?
- 25:05Speaker 2: My first video? It's actually funny. So I had my
- 25:09Speaker 2: original account, just like a personal account, and I used
- 25:12Speaker 2: to work for a company that made Yeti coolers, right,
- 25:16Speaker 2: and I worked for that, and I filmed myself one
- 25:18Speaker 2: day cutting a Yeti cooler in half right, posted it
- 25:23Speaker 2: on my personal TikTok, and it had like one hundred
- 25:26Speaker 2: and fifty thousand views. The first day, so I was like,
- 25:29Speaker 2: what is going on. I'm like, this is crazy. So,
- 25:32Speaker 2: long story short, I ended up getting a seasoned assist
- 25:35Speaker 2: letter from Yetti, So yeah, that was my first video
- 25:39Speaker 2: that went viral of that. But then when it comes
- 25:42Speaker 2: to my art account, it was the Jennifer Aniston this
- 25:46Speaker 2: is for Rachel apiece that I caught. That was the
- 25:48Speaker 2: first one that got over one hundred thousand views in
- 25:52Speaker 2: like the first half hour, like hour.
- 25:55Speaker 1: Over a million, easy, isn't it.
- 25:57Speaker 2: It's I think it's at like three three point five
- 26:00Speaker 2: maybe something I remember was.
- 26:02Speaker 1: Three or four or five, but yeah, it's got a
- 26:04Speaker 1: lot of and deservingly so it's a cool piece. And
- 26:06Speaker 1: everybody loves Friends, right, No, I don't know he hasn't
- 26:09Speaker 1: watched Friends at some point. And I love Jennifer Anderson exactly.
- 26:13Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that was that was insane. So
- 26:17Speaker 2: I was like, Okay, I posted a bunch of art
- 26:19Speaker 2: videos before. I'm like, but people seem to like this
- 26:23Speaker 2: style a little more, so yeah, I've been doing that more.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Yeah, And that segues kind of into the next question.
- 26:28Speaker 1: I was going to ask you what got you into
- 26:30Speaker 1: the style of art that you do?
- 26:33Speaker 2: Right, so two thousand. I mean, I've always been into art.
- 26:37Speaker 2: I've always done something. I apprenticed at a tattoo shop
- 26:40Speaker 2: for a little while. I did tattoos for a little while.
- 26:42Speaker 2: But I've always graffiti street or everything. But when it
- 26:45Speaker 2: comes to like stencil style art, Banksy Obey all that
- 26:50Speaker 2: stuff hang out one second, I'm gonna my cast. I'm sorry, no,
- 26:57Speaker 2: and the.
- 26:57Speaker 1: Cat just wants to disteal your your spot.
- 27:00Speaker 2: Cool.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not the first time that this has happened.
- 27:04Speaker 3: So so my bedroom, so like.
- 27:08Speaker 2: So yeah, Banksy Obey, they you know, I always like
- 27:13Speaker 2: their style. So I started giving it a shot with
- 27:15Speaker 2: the stencil stuff, started doing multi layers stenciling. For a while,
- 27:20Speaker 2: I was selling those pieces. I actually had a little
- 27:23Speaker 2: bit of luck on Instagram where a few of my
- 27:27Speaker 2: pictures were shared because I wasn't really sharing videos and
- 27:30Speaker 2: was selling a bunch of those. And then I saw
- 27:33Speaker 2: this style and I was like, you know, I got
- 27:36Speaker 2: to give this a shot, and uh yeah, the rest
- 27:39Speaker 2: is history. One second, I'm sorry, that's.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Fine, it's unreally and logan you can even see just
- 27:43Speaker 1: kind of like from from I see the pile up
- 27:45Speaker 1: of stuff there on the left. Oh, my god, some
- 27:48Speaker 1: of the kind of the waist and stuff right from
- 27:50Speaker 1: from some of the pieces that you do, yeah, probably
- 27:54Speaker 1: left but yeah, it's all inverted unless you played inverted
- 27:56Speaker 1: video games growing up. Yeah, there you go.
- 27:58Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a whole there's a whole pile of those
- 28:00Speaker 2: are all strips that have been cut out.
- 28:01Speaker 1: So yeah, I was we were we were had a
- 28:04Speaker 1: meeting the other night and I was showing off some
- 28:06Speaker 1: of your TikTok videos and your art styles and stuff
- 28:08Speaker 1: to him and stuff because he's he's new. He's very
- 28:10Speaker 1: new to TikTok. He's only been on really probably in
- 28:12Speaker 1: a couple of hours, one little video because we were like,
- 28:15Speaker 1: you have to do a video. You're just you can't
- 28:17Speaker 1: be that weird creepy guy that that is on TikTok
- 28:19Speaker 1: all the time. It doesn't post anything. Yeah right, Yeah,
- 28:23Speaker 1: so he's new on there.
- 28:24Speaker 3: So I watched that and it was it's awesome. You're
- 28:28Speaker 3: very very cool.
- 28:29Speaker 1: Absolutely, So what got you into growing the beer?
- 28:32Speaker 3: Were?
- 28:33Speaker 2: What? Hell?
- 28:36Speaker 1: Yeah, it was something like that. Yeah, so what got
- 28:39Speaker 1: you into growing the beard?
- 28:41Speaker 2: Me? Yeah, okay, so I had I actually had a
- 28:46Speaker 2: I don't want to say a sick beard. I had
- 28:48Speaker 2: a solid beard for a little while, you know, but
- 28:52Speaker 2: the itchy. I mean I maintained it as good as
- 28:55Speaker 2: I could, but for some reason, it was just always
- 28:57Speaker 2: just always itchy, and I just I was always getting
- 28:59Speaker 2: pain and anytime I go spray paint anything, it would
- 29:03Speaker 2: always get like thick and greasy from and like I
- 29:06Speaker 2: just couldn't do it. But this one, I I, you know,
- 29:09Speaker 2: keeping it short. If I don't have facial hair, I
- 29:13Speaker 2: look fourteen, which I mean I can't complain. I'm thirty five,
- 29:16Speaker 2: but I don't like looking like a you know, a
- 29:18Speaker 2: new or No.
- 29:20Speaker 1: No, I understand. And one thing too. There's a lot
- 29:23Speaker 1: of people that actually that's one of the biggest things
- 29:26Speaker 1: for beards being cut off is guys that can't get
- 29:28Speaker 1: through the itchy stage. So I came up with beard
- 29:30Speaker 1: low twenty two. Guys are always complaining about, you know,
- 29:34Speaker 1: their beard itching and they're gonna have to cut it off. Well,
- 29:35Speaker 1: if your ball's itch, are you gonna cut them off? Due, No,
- 29:38Speaker 1: don't cut the beer. Don't cut your balls. And there's
- 29:41Speaker 1: ways about it. Did I recently did. So this is
- 29:44Speaker 1: a little self plug. There's a YouTube video I did
- 29:46Speaker 1: for three major tips to prevent itchy beard. But obviously
- 29:49Speaker 1: you don't have to go check that out. I'll let
- 29:51Speaker 1: you know when the beard gets there.
- 29:52Speaker 2: But I got it. I got it. Still thing for
- 29:56Speaker 2: your for your laws, I got you on that.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Yeah, you're doing which is gonna be It's gonna be exciting.
- 30:01Speaker 1: I'm not worried. You're a busy man, so uh and
- 30:03Speaker 1: I appreciate you just you know, taking the time to
- 30:05Speaker 1: do that. So of course, just a question that I
- 30:08Speaker 1: feel like that I have, so I kind of and
- 30:11Speaker 1: you feel you don't have to answer. But something that
- 30:14Speaker 1: that I think that if I'm thinking everybody else is
- 30:17Speaker 1: how long do you think on average each piece roughly
- 30:20Speaker 1: takes you? I know every piece is different. Just kind
- 30:22Speaker 1: of a It was just something that kind of intrigues me,
- 30:24Speaker 1: you know.
- 30:25Speaker 2: Yeah. So if I mean, if I want to fly through,
- 30:28Speaker 2: not fly through one, but go you know, if I
- 30:31Speaker 2: just focus on one, just do nothing but that, I
- 30:35Speaker 2: can probably get one done between four to five hours. Yep,
- 30:41Speaker 2: But that just doesn't happen. I have between between Netflix
- 30:45Speaker 2: music life. I can't sit down and look at a
- 30:50Speaker 2: piece of paper and cut it the whole time.
- 30:52Speaker 1: So I guess, like a cutting potatoes to make homemade
- 30:57Speaker 1: French fries. Like I hit that potato and I couldn't
- 31:00Speaker 1: imagine a five hours of that fine little cutting that
- 31:03Speaker 1: you do.
- 31:04Speaker 2: Yeah, so I mean like once it's all said and done,
- 31:07Speaker 2: between like eight to ten hours total, you know what
- 31:11Speaker 2: I mean. But yeah, they all they're they all vary
- 31:16Speaker 2: summer a little bit simpler. If I get one, can
- 31:18Speaker 2: you guys hear my cat me by the way, No, okay, okay, perfect.
- 31:23Speaker 2: If I get one that has like a person with
- 31:25Speaker 2: like a crazy shirt and like you know what I mean,
- 31:28Speaker 2: like a style where it's like a lot of zigzags
- 31:30Speaker 2: and this and that they longer, Like I just did
- 31:33Speaker 2: another mac Miller head the other day, which was I
- 31:36Speaker 2: don't want to say it was quick. It still took
- 31:37Speaker 2: like six and a half hours, but like that compared
- 31:40Speaker 2: to you know, a person with a crazy shirt on
- 31:43Speaker 2: or like with a necklace stuff stuff that causes the
- 31:46Speaker 2: lines to be you know, crazy.
- 31:48Speaker 1: Yeah, And that's what I think a lot of people
- 31:50Speaker 1: don't necessarily maybe they think about, but they don't really
- 31:54Speaker 1: maybe appreciate or maybe they don't think about it. Is
- 31:56Speaker 1: you come out and set your price, but you have
- 31:59Speaker 1: to need to understand that time is money and these
- 32:02Speaker 1: pieces don't just happen like this. Yes, you can put
- 32:04Speaker 1: it out in a fifteen second TikTok of an eight
- 32:07Speaker 1: hour project. You just did eight hours. Just picture what
- 32:10Speaker 1: you guys would make in an eight hour day, you
- 32:13Speaker 1: know what I mean. And then this is what this
- 32:14Speaker 1: is what he does. These are his art, his passion,
- 32:17Speaker 1: his work, and and you know, and it was kind
- 32:20Speaker 1: of a conversation that we had backstage about you know,
- 32:22Speaker 1: pricing and stuff like that where people just you know,
- 32:24Speaker 1: you get some people that are like whoa. Then you
- 32:26Speaker 1: get some people are yeah, come on, well then go
- 32:29Speaker 1: try it yourself and hopefully you come out of it
- 32:32Speaker 1: with with ten fingers or at least nine and a half.
- 32:34Speaker 2: Still, I've been pretty fortunate. I'm I'm shocked by how
- 32:40Speaker 2: many people actually want a piece and are willing to
- 32:43Speaker 2: you know, pay their like harder money for one. My
- 32:46Speaker 2: presents aren't crazy, but I mean I have I have
- 32:51Speaker 2: like a four to five week waiting list right now
- 32:54Speaker 2: to missions. It's I mean, and you know, I get
- 32:56Speaker 2: I get a fifty deposit before I still art, and
- 33:00Speaker 2: everybody has been really cool with that, like no problem,
- 33:03Speaker 2: and I get the rest of it's done, and everyone
- 33:05Speaker 2: it's insane. At one point I had when my mac
- 33:08Speaker 2: Miller piece, that one has like sixteen point five million
- 33:11Speaker 2: views at this point, I think when that one went
- 33:13Speaker 2: crazy and got shared. I mean that it was on
- 33:16Speaker 2: the front page of Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, it was
- 33:19Speaker 2: everywhere I was. I was getting, you know, fifty messages
- 33:23Speaker 2: an hour on Instagram, and it was insane. And you know,
- 33:27Speaker 2: everyone's been awesome.
- 33:28Speaker 1: So yeah, that's awesome, man, And like I like, we
- 33:30Speaker 1: keep saying it's well deserved. You know, we couldn't. I couldn't,
- 33:34Speaker 1: you know, it couldn't happened to a better guy. And
- 33:36Speaker 1: he's got that got that I got that upstate New
- 33:38Speaker 1: York tis ao.
- 33:40Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, that's crazy, dude. I can't believe we grew
- 33:42Speaker 2: up right here, kind of grew up right near each other.
- 33:45Speaker 1: Yeah, year apart, right near the same area. We could
- 33:47Speaker 1: have at one point we might even went to school together.
- 33:49Speaker 1: Who knows who I remember what I had for breakfast,
- 33:52Speaker 1: let alone people that I met back then. But shout
- 33:55Speaker 1: out b though the be that was me for a
- 33:58Speaker 1: little bit. So if you went to baldons Ville some point,
- 34:00Speaker 1: throw it out in the chat, let's go. So I
- 34:02Speaker 1: gotta you have some pet cats? You gotta?
- 34:05Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 34:06Speaker 1: All right? Do you still have the snake?
- 34:09Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, yeah, yes, sorry broke up.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Is there any fear that you might just be down
- 34:14Speaker 1: to one pet anytime?
- 34:17Speaker 3: Uh?
- 34:18Speaker 2: You mean from the snake again?
- 34:20Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 34:22Speaker 2: So luckily the mother cat is too big for the
- 34:26Speaker 2: snake and the two her two kittens are moving up
- 34:31Speaker 2: to New York next week, so we're gonna be one
- 34:33Speaker 2: cat and one snake and that snake. That snake ain't
- 34:36Speaker 2: gonna mess with the cat.
- 34:36Speaker 1: So we're going, okay around you kind of cut off?
- 34:44Speaker 3: Does your snake normally roam around?
- 34:46Speaker 2: Oh no, I mean I got a nice you know,
- 34:48Speaker 2: thirty gallon tanks. She just chills in so good.
- 34:51Speaker 1: But case, let you let the cat here the snake out.
- 34:54Speaker 1: And I've seen some videos and I'm sure every snake
- 34:57Speaker 1: owner they're like, let's have some freedom, please don't eat anything. Pardon?
- 35:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I try to socially distance each other,
- 35:04Speaker 2: you know, from them from each other.
- 35:05Speaker 3: So yeah, called the corona.
- 35:09Speaker 1: Probably a good idea too. There's the one of the
- 35:12Speaker 1: new ones nine weeks old. If I had to guess,
- 35:15Speaker 1: because I got the answer backstage.
- 35:18Speaker 2: Good, guess what kind of things is it? It's a
- 35:21Speaker 2: baby ball python.
- 35:23Speaker 3: That sounds horrible.
- 35:25Speaker 2: I grew up. I in my lifetime, I probably had
- 35:28Speaker 2: like twenty five to thirty boas and pythons a real lifetime. Yeah,
- 35:33Speaker 2: And when I was growing up, I had, I had everything.
- 35:37Speaker 2: It was insane.
- 35:40Speaker 3: Do they when you get rid of them? Do they die?
- 35:42Speaker 1: Or like?
- 35:43Speaker 3: Have you sold them? Or trade? Can snakes?
- 35:46Speaker 2: There? So? Yeah, I actually I had. I had an
- 35:50Speaker 2: albino Burmese python, a Colombian redtail bowl, and a few
- 35:54Speaker 2: other Actually gave them to fort Ricky. You remember fort
- 35:56Speaker 2: Ricky up there any chance in Rome, New York.
- 36:00Speaker 1: I know Rome, but for I don't, I'm not sure.
- 36:03Speaker 2: So I gave some of my some of the snakes
- 36:05Speaker 2: to them. You know, some die of old age and
- 36:07Speaker 2: then you know I've sold some, you know, just because.
- 36:11Speaker 2: But yeah, it's a lot. It's when you have a
- 36:13Speaker 2: lot of them, it's a lot of work. But a
- 36:16Speaker 2: car you keep breaking up.
- 36:20Speaker 1: The only word that came out was car.
- 36:22Speaker 3: Have you ever left one in the next car or house?
- 36:25Speaker 1: No?
- 36:26Speaker 2: That's a good idea.
- 36:29Speaker 1: Yeah, but no, it's a terrible idea because they're gonna
- 36:31Speaker 1: know it's you because like you were like this your family,
- 36:35Speaker 1: like some people are into this what is it Tiger
- 36:37Speaker 1: King show? Maybe you were a snake King and you
- 36:40Speaker 1: just you're we need the next pandemic to come out
- 36:43Speaker 1: for you to get your time to shine exactly.
- 36:46Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a good idea. We'll have to work on that.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Okay, I'm in and then to be able to be
- 36:50Speaker 1: cameo of a kid that might have looked like me
- 36:52Speaker 1: and been like that was him. Yeah, I knew the
- 36:54Speaker 1: snake King back in the day.
- 36:57Speaker 2: Huh, all right, we just were you a big tiger king?
- 37:01Speaker 2: Did you guys? You guys into it?
- 37:03Speaker 1: I'm not into it.
- 37:04Speaker 3: I watched it, my wife watched it, and so I
- 37:07Speaker 3: got into it and we we end up finishing it.
- 37:10Speaker 3: It's interesting, like we weren't die hard like we have
- 37:12Speaker 3: to watch Tiger.
- 37:13Speaker 1: King right a couple of weeks ago.
- 37:15Speaker 3: You were all within like two weeks. No, No, I'm kidding,
- 37:19Speaker 3: because you're missing out.
- 37:22Speaker 2: I watched it twice. I'm not gonna lie. It's it's
- 37:26Speaker 2: I enjoyed it.
- 37:28Speaker 1: When when the when the fat it's pretty much like
- 37:30Speaker 1: the FAD's over right, Like it's done now? Yeah, yeah,
- 37:33Speaker 1: I mean, nobody's really talking about it's kind of over.
- 37:35Speaker 1: Maybe I'll give it a view, but now in summertime.
- 37:38Speaker 1: But uh yeah, I don't know about all that.
- 37:40Speaker 2: I feel like the Carol Baskin song is gonna, like
- 37:44Speaker 2: lot last longer. You know, the hype of that song
- 37:47Speaker 2: is gonna last longer than the hype of the actual show,
- 37:50Speaker 2: just because everybody is still using that audio on TikTok.
- 37:52Speaker 2: It's everywhere, you know what I mean everywhere?
- 37:54Speaker 1: Yeah, did you see the couple. I think they were
- 37:58Speaker 1: British guys that tricked into being what she thought. Carole
- 38:03Speaker 1: Baskins wasn't gonna be on the Jimmy Fallon Show. And
- 38:05Speaker 1: it was the first interview she's done, like say that,
- 38:09Speaker 1: you know the whole whatever happened, I don't know something happened,
- 38:11Speaker 1: but they tricked her thinking she was on the show,
- 38:13Speaker 1: went through the whole interview, never even once saw Jimmy,
- 38:17Speaker 1: Like they just had it in her brain that she
- 38:19Speaker 1: was still on the show. You have to check it up,
- 38:22Speaker 1: check it out. I think I saw it on YouTube somewhere.
- 38:25Speaker 1: I forget the people, but if you look up Carole
- 38:27Speaker 1: Baskins fooled to being on Jimmys everywhere.
- 38:30Speaker 2: It's it's funny.
- 38:32Speaker 1: You got to check that out, dude.
- 38:36Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure, there's no getting around that. Ye.
- 38:41Speaker 1: So this is gonna be a really tough question, and
- 38:44Speaker 1: I'm not expecting to have like a definitive answer because
- 38:49Speaker 1: it's unrealistic. But okay, I just want to know what
- 38:53Speaker 1: one of your one of your favorite pieces of artwork
- 38:57Speaker 1: that you own. Doesn't have to be one you did,
- 38:59Speaker 1: could be one that was given to you when you
- 39:01Speaker 1: bought just kind of one piece. Doesn't have to be
- 39:04Speaker 1: your favorite, but just kind of one piece that you're like, yeah,
- 39:06Speaker 1: I really like this weather. It has a cool story
- 39:08Speaker 1: behind it, and it's kind of like it's kind of
- 39:09Speaker 1: like one of us saying like, oh, what's your favorite record?
- 39:12Speaker 1: What's your favorite you know, because we love we love
- 39:14Speaker 1: you know what I mean. But it just it's just
- 39:16Speaker 1: something that I'm curious, right.
- 39:18Speaker 2: So this is funny because this is a piece that
- 39:22Speaker 2: I've had forever. So my mother went to a garage
- 39:26Speaker 2: sale when I was younger, and she found this picture
- 39:30Speaker 2: of this little kid and with boxing gloves, and where
- 39:34Speaker 2: I'm from, the Boxing Hall of Fames. There boxing a big,
- 39:37Speaker 2: big deal with boxing, you know. So it's this little
- 39:40Speaker 2: kid wearing boxing gloves and it looks just like me
- 39:43Speaker 2: when I was that age, I mean identical. Everybody thinks
- 39:47Speaker 2: when they see that picture that it was a picture
- 39:49Speaker 2: of me when I was younger. It's like this painting
- 39:52Speaker 2: and I have a copy of it. We had copies
- 39:53Speaker 2: of the made and everything. But I mean, I think
- 39:55Speaker 2: I have to go with that. It's we've had it
- 39:56Speaker 2: for my god years now, but she found that at
- 39:59Speaker 2: a it just looks it looks just like me when
- 40:01Speaker 2: I was little.
- 40:02Speaker 1: That's awesome. What if it really was?
- 40:05Speaker 2: I know, like like like you know how we're like
- 40:07Speaker 2: in a what's it called? What are we in?
- 40:10Speaker 5: Now?
- 40:11Speaker 2: Different? Yeah? Time warped like whatever? Yeah yeah, yeah yeah.
- 40:19Speaker 1: I thought you were going to hit me with the
- 40:21Speaker 1: so yeah right, no what am I look?
- 40:25Speaker 2: What's the word I'm looking for? We're in like different
- 40:29Speaker 2: dimensions of time, you know what I mean? So, yeah,
- 40:33Speaker 2: that could have been me at some point or another.
- 40:35Speaker 3: I just wanted to do.
- 40:36Speaker 1: This because it looked cool.
- 40:37Speaker 2: There you parallel parallel, parallel universe. There.
- 40:41Speaker 1: I thought we were making a TikTok and this could
- 40:43Speaker 1: be the new dance. Yeah right, yeah, we're going to
- 40:47Speaker 1: be famous.
- 40:49Speaker 2: But yeah, no, that's definitely, Uh, that's definitely one of
- 40:52Speaker 2: my favorites for sure.
- 40:54Speaker 1: That's a cool Yeah, that's a that and not only
- 40:55Speaker 1: is it a cool piece because but you know the
- 40:58Speaker 1: story behind it is really cool.
- 40:59Speaker 2: Man.
- 41:00Speaker 1: Yeah, So, what's one thing that you miss most during
- 41:04Speaker 1: the quarantine? I don't know if you guys have kind
- 41:06Speaker 1: of opened back up, but we're up here, we're still
- 41:09Speaker 1: you know, they're slowly kind of rolling things out, and
- 41:11Speaker 1: I'm just kind of curious, like, what's what's one thing.
- 41:14Speaker 1: I'm sure there's many, but just kind of one thing
- 41:15Speaker 1: that you know, you really miss.
- 41:18Speaker 2: So, I mean, like what I do art wise is
- 41:21Speaker 2: like I'm usually sitting home anyway, but I'm also I
- 41:26Speaker 2: also do like I don't want to call myself a
- 41:29Speaker 2: catering chef, but we do catering where I cook at.
- 41:32Speaker 2: I don't want to call myself something. I'm not a
- 41:34Speaker 2: chef by any means, but I do exactly that is true.
- 41:40Speaker 2: I do miss doing like some catering stuff. Just like luckily,
- 41:46Speaker 2: like where I'm at and Raleigh, there's like a lot
- 41:49Speaker 2: of places where you can go outside and you know,
- 41:53Speaker 2: there's still going to be people socially distinct. But I mean, honestly,
- 41:57Speaker 2: I don't really miss that much. I still, you know,
- 41:59Speaker 2: talk to every everybody. And I'm so used to like
- 42:02Speaker 2: doing my stuff at my house anyway, you know what
- 42:03Speaker 2: I mean. It's not like I only I don't just
- 42:05Speaker 2: sit inside. But I didn't really it didn't really affect
- 42:08Speaker 2: me that much.
- 42:09Speaker 1: Yep, and uh and and every request and you know,
- 42:12Speaker 1: kind of the business that you've been doing with the
- 42:14Speaker 1: art stuff is all you know, behind the scenes anyway,
- 42:16Speaker 1: So I mean, at least that sort of you know,
- 42:19Speaker 1: uh business is still coming in. But I gotta ask you,
- 42:21Speaker 1: when you first moved to North Carolina, how many times
- 42:24Speaker 1: did you listen to PD Pablo and take your shirt
- 42:27Speaker 1: off and spin it around your head like a helicopter.
- 42:30Speaker 2: So that song has been on my like top three
- 42:33Speaker 2: since two thousand and one, for sure. I only did
- 42:37Speaker 2: it once on the ride here, and then I tired
- 42:38Speaker 2: that shirt.
- 42:39Speaker 1: Oh really, you didn't frame it. I figured you'd at
- 42:42Speaker 1: least frame it and like make it a piece of art,
- 42:44Speaker 1: like graffiti.
- 42:45Speaker 2: Dude, that song. I used to have two fifteen inch
- 42:48Speaker 2: subwifers in the back of my jeep and that song
- 42:51Speaker 2: used to bum Yeah, oh my god, it's so funny
- 42:55Speaker 2: you bring that song up.
- 42:57Speaker 1: That wasn't one that was scripted. That just popped in
- 42:59Speaker 1: my head.
- 43:00Speaker 2: No, that's that's yeah, I love it.
- 43:02Speaker 1: That was made up. That was a made up one.
- 43:04Speaker 1: Let's see. So how do you think positively negatively? I'm
- 43:10Speaker 1: pretty sure it's positively. But how is TikTok of all
- 43:13Speaker 1: of any of the weird social media not weird, but
- 43:16Speaker 1: all the social mediapps. How's it kind of changed your life?
- 43:19Speaker 2: Yeah? So when I got on TikTok, I had eight hundred,
- 43:27Speaker 2: no seven hundred and something followers on Instagram on my
- 43:31Speaker 2: art account and that was it. Yeah, that was the
- 43:33Speaker 2: only That was the only like social media I use
- 43:36Speaker 2: for my art stuff. I do have a YouTube, it
- 43:37Speaker 2: has like one video from like twenty fifteen. My Twitter,
- 43:41Speaker 2: I never really posted anything. I got TikTok slowly started
- 43:46Speaker 2: building up. I mean, TikTok. I don't want to say
- 43:49Speaker 2: it's the future, but for people that are trying to
- 43:52Speaker 2: get recognized, trying to get their artwork out there, whether
- 43:55Speaker 2: it's dancing, artwork, comedy, it doesn't matter what you do,
- 44:00Speaker 2: feel like you can do it on TikTok and someone
- 44:02Speaker 2: to see it and you can get famous overnight. You know,
- 44:06Speaker 2: you really can.
- 44:07Speaker 1: You really can. And I seem to say it on
- 44:09Speaker 1: every show because I really believe it's true. The algorithms
- 44:12Speaker 1: that they have are very very good, and I think
- 44:16Speaker 1: they should sell the algorithms to dating sites and other apps.
- 44:19Speaker 1: Because the people that you know, you're able to meet
- 44:22Speaker 1: and connect with, whether it's you know, like a physical
- 44:26Speaker 1: like love, you know, connection, or a friendship connection. Like
- 44:30Speaker 1: some of the friends that I've made are are very
- 44:33Speaker 1: very strong with common interest you know what I mean,
- 44:35Speaker 1: like Matt you there from like you to Iron Sanctuary
- 44:38Speaker 1: to you know, just the diversity and it just kind
- 44:41Speaker 1: of shows like how you know, some people like myself,
- 44:44Speaker 1: like I'm I am like a chameleon, like I kind
- 44:46Speaker 1: of get along with, you know, a variety of different people,
- 44:50Speaker 1: and how they're able to kind of connect people with
- 44:52Speaker 1: similar interests and stuff is is unbelievable.
- 44:55Speaker 2: It's insane. It's insane. Like so I was, you know,
- 44:58Speaker 2: I was following a bunch of artists and then that's
- 45:01Speaker 2: when I that's when I met Madeline is just scrolling
- 45:05Speaker 2: through my for you page, you know, I was getting
- 45:08Speaker 2: more art stuff. And you know, I saw one of
- 45:10Speaker 2: her videos. I saw she was from North Carolina, and
- 45:13Speaker 2: I think she was following me first. Yeah, either way,
- 45:18Speaker 2: and so she lives twenty half hour away from me,
- 45:23Speaker 2: and then she started introducing me to other North Carolina
- 45:26Speaker 2: artists and then I introduced her to some artist. Sign
- 45:28Speaker 2: it's insane, like it's in insane how it works.
- 45:31Speaker 1: Yeah, it really is. And it's a real cool thing.
- 45:34Speaker 1: And however they're doing it, they're doing it. But like
- 45:36Speaker 1: you said, it maybe it's the thing at the future.
- 45:39Speaker 1: Maybe it's a fad that comes and goes. But either way,
- 45:41Speaker 1: it's a great piece of advice that you gave. If
- 45:44Speaker 1: if you're looking to have you know, your skill, your passion,
- 45:48Speaker 1: whether it's a hobby that you want to try to
- 45:50Speaker 1: take a full time. It's a great platform. You get
- 45:53Speaker 1: to be able to be seen on many different platforms.
- 45:56Speaker 1: And then if you you know your all time goal
- 45:58Speaker 1: was to be a gamer, and you want to go
- 45:59Speaker 1: to Twitch, get your following here, see who follows you
- 46:02Speaker 1: to Twitch? Or you want to be a YouTuber, I
- 46:03Speaker 1: can follow you to YouTube. Maybe you're an Instagram or anything.
- 46:06Speaker 1: But it's a it's a good thing to kind of
- 46:08Speaker 1: funnel you know, your social media through.
- 46:11Speaker 2: Yeah, it's funny because there's another app. I can't I
- 46:14Speaker 2: can't remember what it's called right now, but it's it's
- 46:16Speaker 2: fairly new. I mean, it's only like a couple of
- 46:18Speaker 2: months old, and the owner, designer whatever actually reached out
- 46:24Speaker 2: to me and it was like, we'll give you a
- 46:25Speaker 2: verification badge right now. So what it I don't know
- 46:28Speaker 2: if I'm it's not. I'm not giving away secrets because
- 46:30Speaker 2: it's out. So it's basically like a tender slash TikTok,
- 46:34Speaker 2: but not for dating. So if you watch a video,
- 46:36Speaker 2: you can swipe left, swipe right right, so if you
- 46:39Speaker 2: like the video, you know what I mean, and it
- 46:41Speaker 2: keeps those videos getting your Yeah. Yeah, yeah, so that's
- 46:46Speaker 2: kind of cool.
- 46:47Speaker 1: But yeah, that's awesome. Definitely.
- 46:49Speaker 2: And I've got a bunch of different opportunities. I've had
- 46:50Speaker 2: companies reach out to me. I've had you know, huge
- 46:54Speaker 2: creators reach out to me. It's insane how many people
- 46:58Speaker 2: you can meet all the opportunity from tick Shock.
- 47:01Speaker 1: Yeah. Absolutely, and it's awesome to see that you know,
- 47:03Speaker 1: your passion, your you know, your skill set is being
- 47:06Speaker 1: able to you know, be a very very good business
- 47:10Speaker 1: and and opportunities to come. And we had we had
- 47:12Speaker 1: Jake Caramel on the show a couple of weeks ago,
- 47:14Speaker 1: you know what I mean. You know, he started doing
- 47:16Speaker 1: you know, the tattoos and stuff like that, and now
- 47:18Speaker 1: he's being featured in magazines. He's verified, you know, he's
- 47:23Speaker 1: each other.
- 47:23Speaker 2: Yeah, he's a cool Yeah. Got to come up and
- 47:26Speaker 2: get some work done when this whole thing's over with.
- 47:29Speaker 1: Yeah, just you know him and him and Bobby are
- 47:31Speaker 1: just just a couple of amazing, amazing dudes. And uh,
- 47:35Speaker 1: they're hilarious and and and their their opportunity in their business.
- 47:38Speaker 1: His is just continuing the skyrocket because of this. And yeah,
- 47:44Speaker 1: so wi is is there any new You probably don't
- 47:47Speaker 1: have time for this, but is there any new hobbies
- 47:48Speaker 1: or anything you kind of picked up or or learned
- 47:51Speaker 1: to do because of the pandemic or the quarantine.
- 47:55Speaker 2: So you ever heard of magnet finishing?
- 47:57Speaker 1: I have? Yes, Well, so have you do? Just in
- 48:04Speaker 1: case because Logan went, why don't you explain just briefly
- 48:07Speaker 1: what magnet fishing is?
- 48:09Speaker 2: So my father and I were he's down here too
- 48:12Speaker 2: in Raleigh, and so we're watching videos and it's a magnet,
- 48:17Speaker 2: fairly large magnet that is pretty strong, in which you
- 48:21Speaker 2: tie a rope to it and you basically go to
- 48:23Speaker 2: like a bridge or a creek or you know, a
- 48:25Speaker 2: dock something where you know people have thrown metal weapons, knives, anything,
- 48:32Speaker 2: and you basically just drop the magnet down and hope
- 48:34Speaker 2: that you catch something.
- 48:35Speaker 1: It's kind of like metal water.
- 48:38Speaker 2: Yeah. So, I mean, if you get on YouTube, you'll
- 48:40Speaker 2: you'll find a million different magnet fishing videos. But that
- 48:43Speaker 2: was something ordered a big magnet. Didn't catch anything yet.
- 48:49Speaker 2: But yeah, that's really I've been spending like money, not
- 48:54Speaker 2: like crazy amount of money, but just on stupid stuff
- 48:57Speaker 2: like on Amazon. That's been hobby.
- 49:01Speaker 1: What about the plant in the in the the bottle thing?
- 49:04Speaker 1: Was that something you always did or was that something new?
- 49:07Speaker 2: No? Actually I have a bunch of those. That's uh.
- 49:10Speaker 2: That was another thing that my father started doing years ago.
- 49:13Speaker 2: So you get like big the big uh like and yeah,
- 49:18Speaker 2: basically just make trarion on them. They're pretty cool. I
- 49:20Speaker 2: love them.
- 49:21Speaker 1: They are amazing, but I do not I know for
- 49:25Speaker 1: a fact, I don't have the patience to do that
- 49:27Speaker 1: that well.
- 49:27Speaker 2: So so the one that I that video that I posted.
- 49:30Speaker 2: I shouldn't have done. I shouldn't have posted that video
- 49:32Speaker 2: because that bottle has such a small opening that people
- 49:37Speaker 2: are gonna be like, I can't do that. There are
- 49:39Speaker 2: those same jugs that have wider wider mouse.
- 49:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I brew and make wine. So yeah, but you yeah,
- 49:46Speaker 1: you took your standard, your standard carboy with you know,
- 49:48Speaker 1: the mouth like this and logan. He built like a
- 49:52Speaker 1: whole plant type scene in the Carboy.
- 49:56Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah for that one. He's gonna taught me how
- 49:59Speaker 2: to do it.
- 49:59Speaker 1: Yeah, shout out. Yeah, you did work well. You taught
- 50:02Speaker 1: him very well. So he's the og snake king right.
- 50:08Speaker 2: No, actually, no, no, no, no, he wasn't. I I
- 50:13Speaker 2: got into that. That's long story.
- 50:15Speaker 1: You have to get into it.
- 50:16Speaker 2: I was just trying to snakes though. No. He was
- 50:20Speaker 2: cool with the snakes though. My mother, on the other hand,
- 50:23Speaker 2: I had to uh when we lived, oh my god,
- 50:27Speaker 2: our old townhouse. I tortured my mother with all the
- 50:31Speaker 2: reptiles and everything I had. So thanks mom, love.
- 50:33Speaker 1: You, Thanks Mom. Looking for you. He wouldn't be here
- 50:37Speaker 1: right now.
- 50:38Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a fact too, mm hmm.
- 50:41Speaker 1: So yeah, we don't have to get into that anymore.
- 50:43Speaker 1: It was just yeah that the whole plant thing on.
- 50:45Speaker 1: Believe they they look awesome.
- 50:47Speaker 2: I honestly, I'm actually I'm buying a bunch of venus
- 50:51Speaker 2: fly traps. There's like a ton of different carnivorous plants,
- 50:54Speaker 2: you know, not just fly traps. I mean there's tons
- 50:56Speaker 2: of them, picture plants, and uh so I'm gonna make
- 50:59Speaker 2: a big one out of a fish tank of just
- 51:01Speaker 2: nothing but carnivorous plants.
- 51:03Speaker 1: So you gotta you gotta show me pictures of that
- 51:06Speaker 1: as you do it.
- 51:06Speaker 2: That's oh for sure. Yeah, yeah, why I'll send you
- 51:08Speaker 2: something after this because I got a bunch in the
- 51:10Speaker 2: other room.
- 51:11Speaker 1: Yeah, let me know, because somebody actually just offered to
- 51:13Speaker 1: give me a fish tank, but I don't really want
- 51:15Speaker 1: another one for more fish. Maybe it can't project that
- 51:19Speaker 1: you could kind of see. That'd be awesome, man.
- 51:20Speaker 2: Yeah, it's awesome. It's it's it looks complicated. It's super
- 51:24Speaker 2: simple just to get the stuff, and it's it's super simple.
- 51:27Speaker 1: Super simple for an art brain. Don't have one of those,
- 51:30Speaker 1: but either way, Yeah, yeah, yeah, we'll talk, Mari. I'm
- 51:34Speaker 1: dead serious. That'd be really cool. So I got to
- 51:38Speaker 1: ask what was in the burrito you ate? To celebrate
- 51:41Speaker 1: two hundred thousand.
- 51:44Speaker 2: So that was chicken.
- 51:47Speaker 1: Uh huh like it?
- 51:48Speaker 2: Brown rice? Okay, I mean lettuce, sour cream and caso nice.
- 51:55Speaker 1: For some reason, I thought it was like a breakfast burrito.
- 51:58Speaker 2: Oh no, no, no.
- 52:00Speaker 1: Oh, there Meg's in Meg. Meg's gonna help me do
- 52:03Speaker 1: the the the aquarium build person.
- 52:08Speaker 4: Uh.
- 52:08Speaker 1: She doesn't have much of a green thumb, but she's
- 52:10Speaker 1: a sculpting major and really into Yeah you a good
- 52:15Speaker 1: looking beard in that profile.
- 52:16Speaker 2: Look at that beard in that profile.
- 52:17Speaker 3: Damn. I believe you were supposed to say, yes, she's
- 52:21Speaker 3: good at everything.
- 52:22Speaker 2: Yeah, there you go.
- 52:24Speaker 1: She doesn't have a green thumb. I'm just she'll tell
- 52:26Speaker 1: you there you can. You can agree with me or not.
- 52:28Speaker 1: Meg not great with the plants, but I did get
- 52:30Speaker 1: her recently and it's still doing very well, so so
- 52:33Speaker 1: that's good. And she did get some new gardening. Loves
- 52:36Speaker 1: to help in the garden, so uh yeah, we're no,
- 52:41Speaker 1: no green thumb, but loves to build.
- 52:43Speaker 3: He meant Monday.
- 52:45Speaker 1: Yeah, so any uh uh I got to ask and
- 52:49Speaker 1: you don't have to answer, but uh and then we'll
- 52:52Speaker 1: we'll we'll get here and we'll get you your plug
- 52:53Speaker 1: because we've tied up a lot of time. Hopefully you're
- 52:56Speaker 1: cool with it. But who is one of your biggest
- 52:58Speaker 1: Who is one of your biggest inspirations, whether it's life
- 53:01Speaker 1: or the art world. I was hoping it was gonna
- 53:03Speaker 1: be Freddy Krueger, but I'm feeling like it's not so Uh.
- 53:07Speaker 1: I'm just curious who that is.
- 53:10Speaker 2: Man, There's actually there so many.
- 53:12Speaker 1: Well, a couple, that's fine, I got time.
- 53:15Speaker 2: The one that comes to mind first because I just
- 53:17Speaker 2: said this the other day, is definitely Tony Hawk. I
- 53:19Speaker 2: don't know if you guys saw the video with the
- 53:21Speaker 2: FedEx driver.
- 53:22Speaker 1: I was unreally yeah, so lookan yeah, go ahead, go ahead,
- 53:26Speaker 1: tell him about it real quick.
- 53:28Speaker 2: So basically what happened was FedEx driver driving down the street.
- 53:32Speaker 2: This little kid ran out and was like, hey, sir,
- 53:34Speaker 2: can you can you deliver something for me or whatever?
- 53:37Speaker 2: And he brought us an old skateboard out and he said,
- 53:39Speaker 2: I want you to deliver this to Tony Hawk. And
- 53:42Speaker 2: he wrote Tony Hawk's name on and wrote his name
- 53:44Speaker 2: on one end, and he posted on TikTok like four
- 53:47Speaker 2: or five hours later.
- 53:50Speaker 1: The FedEx guy even said like, I have no right,
- 53:53Speaker 1: you know, he thought he was just like, here's a letter.
- 53:55Speaker 1: Can you mail it? Because he you know fed X
- 53:57Speaker 1: they probably get people like that. He's like, yeah, I'll
- 53:59Speaker 1: do it. Whatever.
- 54:00Speaker 3: Good dude, you know.
- 54:03Speaker 2: Is yeah, this is why TikTok is so amazing because
- 54:07Speaker 2: of stuff like this. So he you know, he said it.
- 54:09Speaker 2: He goes, I don't know Tony Hawk's addressed, but I'll
- 54:11Speaker 2: just put it out there. Four or five hours later,
- 54:13Speaker 2: Tony Hawk's like, thank you so much. He's like, your
- 54:15Speaker 2: skateboards on the way, I'm sending you one of my skateboards.
- 54:18Speaker 2: And uh so, yeah, Tony Hawk. I mean I skateboarded
- 54:20Speaker 2: forever when I was you know when I not forever,
- 54:22Speaker 2: when I was little, So yeah, I definitely looked up
- 54:25Speaker 2: to Tony Hawk for sure.
- 54:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 54:26Speaker 2: And then I mean, come on, shout out Bob Ross.
- 54:29Speaker 1: Right, like, obviously you have to inspiration.
- 54:33Speaker 2: No one, there's no there's no one that hates or
- 54:36Speaker 2: dislikes Bob Ross.
- 54:38Speaker 1: But then they do, there's wrong with them, there's something wrong.
- 54:43Speaker 2: Oh he makes yeah everything beautiful. And then there's I
- 54:46Speaker 2: don't know, there's like some other ones just I don't know.
- 54:51Speaker 1: That's that's cool inspiration.
- 54:53Speaker 2: And stuff, Like I said, obviously what's that?
- 55:00Speaker 3: What type of music? Uh do you like? But is
- 55:05Speaker 3: music factor with your inspiration like this? You ever just
- 55:08Speaker 3: listen to something and.
- 55:08Speaker 2: Be like, well, yeah, so I grew up mainly listening
- 55:12Speaker 2: to like hardcore metal. Syracuse is like a big hardcore scene.
- 55:18Speaker 2: I'm not sure if you know anything about that, like
- 55:21Speaker 2: hardcore stuff like then you know, pop pop punk and
- 55:25Speaker 2: stuff like that. But I was also into you know,
- 55:28Speaker 2: older hip hop, Wu Tang, you know all that.
- 55:33Speaker 1: But if you get the fifteen in the vehicle, you're
- 55:35Speaker 1: rocking that old school hip Yeah.
- 55:38Speaker 2: But like now when I'm when I'm doing stuff which
- 55:42Speaker 2: sounds stupid, but I I love listening to all the
- 55:45Speaker 2: stupid TikTok songs, like because you hear them so much
- 55:48Speaker 2: on there. It's like a TikTok playlist's.
- 55:53Speaker 1: Head.
- 55:53Speaker 2: It's embarrassing to admit that I have a TikTok song playlist,
- 55:57Speaker 2: Like it's not you.
- 55:58Speaker 1: Have it on Spotify because it probably yeah.
- 56:01Speaker 2: Oh yeah yeah, yeah, like I found one on there.
- 56:03Speaker 2: I didn't make my own, like it's actually on there already.
- 56:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 56:06Speaker 2: But then, like I'll listened to like nineties alternative, I
- 56:11Speaker 2: like listen like Eve six ever clear Google dolls. Like
- 56:14Speaker 2: when I'm working on stuff now, but if I'm out
- 56:17Speaker 2: doing like graffiti and stuff, we'll have hip hop playing
- 56:21Speaker 2: nas you know, wrap up, you know.
- 56:25Speaker 1: Yeah, my favorite, my favorite TikTok song is the one
- 56:29Speaker 1: that's beard on my face. I don't know if you
- 56:32Speaker 1: heard that.
- 56:33Speaker 2: I've definitely heard that one.
- 56:34Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, and it and it was by me, So
- 56:37Speaker 1: it's not good. I got a beard on my face,
- 56:42Speaker 1: my face on my face has a beard, got a
- 56:44Speaker 1: beard on my face, and my face has a beard,
- 56:46Speaker 1: has a beard, has a beard, has a beard, has
- 56:47Speaker 1: a beard, beard on my face, beard on my face.
- 56:50Speaker 3: Something that's a grammy right there.
- 56:54Speaker 1: Yeah, it was funny. As soon as I put that out,
- 56:56Speaker 1: people are like, that's gonna go viral, it's so big.
- 56:58Speaker 1: I'm like not, because I put it out there. It
- 57:00Speaker 1: is so fun and I had a good time doing.
- 57:01Speaker 2: It right right. Oh wait, hang on, I got a
- 57:04Speaker 2: question for you if I may. Yeah, does anyone see
- 57:09Speaker 2: I don't really get like a lot of haters or like,
- 57:12Speaker 2: you know, negative comments. So the only time I get
- 57:14Speaker 2: negative comments on any of my videos is I use
- 57:17Speaker 2: an audio that and you look at my video, So
- 57:20Speaker 2: you've definitely seen it, but I use an audio, this
- 57:23Speaker 2: other this is another artist use it and it's basically
- 57:26Speaker 2: like how can Charlie Demilio get five point two million
- 57:30Speaker 2: views from eating? Yeah? So I get a lot of
- 57:34Speaker 2: hate comments, rude comments, mean, but they're always like kids,
- 57:38Speaker 2: so you know, I try not to be like rude,
- 57:42Speaker 2: but sometimes I'll like, I think my best comebacks are
- 57:44Speaker 2: like things that don't make sense. So they'll say something
- 57:47Speaker 2: and I'll just be like, deweat cupcakes with Italian dressing.
- 57:51Speaker 2: Just something that makes absolutely no sense. Right, that's those
- 57:53Speaker 2: and then I'll just leave them like what are you
- 57:54Speaker 2: talking about? I'll be like, I don't know, eggs on no, no,
- 58:00Speaker 2: you know, like stuff that makes absolutely no sense. So
- 58:03Speaker 2: my question to you is do you ever get anybody
- 58:05Speaker 2: like saying anything to you?
- 58:07Speaker 1: Like, Like, there was one dude for a while that
- 58:13Speaker 1: would he was like he was trolling every single time
- 58:16Speaker 1: I put out a video. He was just like the
- 58:18Speaker 1: biggest beard hater so every time. So then it got
- 58:22Speaker 1: to a fun game for me. Every time I post
- 58:24Speaker 1: a video, I'd look for him and I was like, Okay,
- 58:25Speaker 1: there it is, and then he'd have some stupid comment
- 58:28Speaker 1: and then I'd make him kind of look dumb from it,
- 58:32Speaker 1: and he started responding back, and then everybody else would
- 58:36Speaker 1: chime in, and and then actually, once I commented, it
- 58:39Speaker 1: was like three videos and then he's been gone since.
- 58:41Speaker 1: But yeah, not a lot, thankfully. The beard community, you know,
- 58:45Speaker 1: they're they're pretty good, and you know, I and for
- 58:48Speaker 1: the biggest, the really the only kid comments I get
- 58:51Speaker 1: are like, first, right, oh, okay, oh oh, I get
- 58:55Speaker 1: that once in a while, But uh, I think it's
- 58:58Speaker 1: cool because my content that I put out in my
- 59:01Speaker 1: niche is beard related, so it has doesn't relate to kids.
- 59:04Speaker 1: So I think that the algorithm kind of veers it
- 59:07Speaker 1: away where art's more of a you know, generic from
- 59:11Speaker 1: the time you're young girl, you know, the time you're old.
- 59:13Speaker 1: So I'm thankful in that regards you. But I mean
- 59:16Speaker 1: that's what some people say. They're like, you need to
- 59:18Speaker 1: kind of expand and do different things because you're only
- 59:20Speaker 1: in this little bubble with beards. And I'm like, it's
- 59:22Speaker 1: all I know, and I'm cool with.
- 59:24Speaker 3: That, you know.
- 59:25Speaker 2: Yeah, No, I'm definitely doing a little bit more. I
- 59:28Speaker 2: don't like that audio I noticed was getting. I've used
- 59:31Speaker 2: it twice and I got three million views on one
- 59:34Speaker 2: and six hundred thousand on the other. Nothing against anybody.
- 59:37Speaker 2: I would never hate anybody. I mean it says her name.
- 59:40Speaker 2: I have nothing against the girl. She's sixteen years old,
- 59:42Speaker 2: you know what I mean. Yeah, but I mean she's
- 59:45Speaker 2: killing it too, you know what I mean. She was
- 59:47Speaker 2: just your average girl and now she's one of the
- 59:50Speaker 2: most famous people on social media making tons of money.
- 59:54Speaker 2: That TikTok is insane. But yeah, no, I'm gonna start
- 59:57Speaker 2: doing a little bit more on there too, other than
- 59:59Speaker 2: just our.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, even if you look at like, you know,
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: Iron Sanctuary and Beer Bong John, Fresh Prince and O'Hay.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: You know, they went from you know, one hundred thousand,
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: two hundred thousand or something like that, went through the
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: TikTok Christmas Beard Challenge and it just went blew up.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: But then they've continued from it because you know, they're
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: they're good creators and have you know, stepped out of
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: the realm and just done a different you know, a
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: bunch of different style things. And now Iron Sanctuary I
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: think just hit four million.
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: Yeah, it's insane, it's insane.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: It's pretty cool. In Beer Bong John, you know, he's
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: taking the opportunity now because you know he's a business
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: owner and uh, you know his business is shut down
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: because of COVID. He says, you know what, I'm gonna
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: take a couple of months. He's traveling the country and
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: just he's.
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: Going to different creators houses right different there, and.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: He's, uh, he's moving up to the the Seattle area
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: is going to be kind of his last destination and
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: he's just gonna be a content creator for a couple
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: of months. See, you know, see where it goes, and
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: it's because of this app. You know, this is this
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: could be his living you know, he could have went
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: from this you know, grueling pet job and you know
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: Iron Sanctuary, you know, hard work and construction guy, hard
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: on your body, you know, and it's just crazy. You know, Like.
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: I'm I'm mutual friends with Iron, thanks for around there,
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: and I've talked to him a few times through DMS
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: and he's just a great dude too.
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: He's an awesome Yeah, those guys are all awesome and
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: that's what's cool. You know, we've we've kind of built
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: the you know, we've had so many mutual friends and
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: it's cool to kind of build the friendship that you know,
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: we we have now and and to think we grew
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: up fairly close to each other, it's kind of wild
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: that it took this app to uh to kind of
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: make this friendship happen.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: So yeah, so.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: So we're a little bit over on time, uhs, which
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: means it's a great interview. So at the end of
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: each and we we kind of talked about it, uh
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: at at the beginning behind the scenes. I just want
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: to give you kind of a time to, you know,
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: plug anything you want, whether you know, you have a
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: company that you work for you know what I mean,
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: or or you have that you want to give a
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: shout out, you have social media, as you have websites,
