- Najah: I'ma get candid with y'all again, okay? I recently walked away from one of my longest friendships and I thought I was gonna be grieving that loss. Because when you know somebody for that long, They know your life. You've shared so much. You expect their absence to hurt. but honestly, what I felt was relief. Look, and the saying is true, when you close one door, another door can open. Because right when that door was closing, I gained four new connections. Four. That I wasn't expecting or hoping for. and one of them told me that I deserve friendships with people who pour back into me as much as I pour into them. And it confirmed the reality I was avoiding. the friendship I walked away from was actually draining me. And here come these new connections in a super short period of time. Showing me what it feels like to be considered, supported, and poured back into. And I'm not even gonna lie, y'all, it's beautiful. It feels so good. And I'm grateful. I said all that to say Some people are taking up space in your life right now. Without adding anything to it. And maybe you need to hear. That it's okay to walk away with no explanation when you're no longer aligned with somebody. Because just having history with somebody doesn't mean you owe them the rest of your life. And I'll leave y'all with peace, love, and light.
