  SpaceX is planning, the most exciting rocket launch of all

  time from Boca Chica Texas at Starbase.

  And this rocket is 400 feet tall, 400 feet tall.

  The rocket itself on top, the Starship is 150 feet tall.

  And the booster on the bottom about 250 feet tall.

  This thing is absolutely gigantic.

  Absolutely gigantic. And just recently, January 9th

  2023, it took them about 52 minutes to stack.

  The Starship on top of the booster now.

  Take a look at this. This is from spacex's Twitter

  ship 24, stacked on super-heavy booster. 7 at Starbase in Texas.

  They posted this as 7:04 p.m. but it happened hours before
• 0:39
  then. So what's going to be happening
• 0:41
  next for SpaceX? Well the booster and the shipper
• 0:46
  mated so they can work together in tandem to get ready for a
• 0:50
  launch which Elon Musk says and I want to show you this too
• 0:54
  Elon, Musk says we have a real shot at least february/march
• 0:58
  launch attempt appears Highly likely.

  So in between now, late February, or March ish, Elon
• 1:06
  Musk thinks that they can do, all the tests that they need to
• 1:08
  do in order to get it flight-ready.

  If they get this thing slight ready and there are already
• 1:13
  working with the FAA, right? So they've been working with the
• 1:16
  FAA for the last ten or more years.

  Last decade to make sure that the Falcon 9 flies properly and
• 1:22
  to get people to the International Space Station on
• 1:25
  top of a falcon 9 inside of a crew Dragon capsule, they have
• 1:29
  33 Reptar two engines on the bottom of the booster to lift
• 1:33
  this gigantic rocket for the orbital flight test.
• 1:36
  Now, Starship has its own engines, they've static fire,
• 1:39
  the Starship engines. They've also static some of the
• 1:42
  booster engines already. Now that the Starship and the
• 1:45
  booster are mated. They have to do some testing to
• 1:49
  make sure that this will function properly for an orbital
• 1:52
  flight test. That Elon said was going to
• 1:55
  happen in late February or sometime in March.
• 1:57
  So, the booster is already set acquired a few But it's never
• 2:01
  static fired with a Starship on top of it.
• 2:05
  Now, all of the static fires before seemed to have been
• 2:08
  absolutely successful. And it seems to be that the
• 2:11
  booster is in a really great place right now because they
• 2:14
  just brought it back from the high Bay and back down to the
• 2:19
  orbital launch Mount. And that happen relatively
• 2:22
  quickly, booster 9 is already at the orbital launch but they did
• 2:25
  some testing with their pressure testing, cryo testing with it at
• 2:29
  the orbital. Launch pad.

  Now, I think what's going to happen in the next few days, we
• 2:34
  do have some road closures here and there's going to be some
• 2:38
  some testing going on in the next few days.
• 2:41
  And I think what's going to happen and the only thing that
• 2:45
  we can think of at this point for the next few days, booster 9
• 2:49
  is going to go away or think we're going to move it away from
• 2:52
  there, but I also think that they're going to start testing
• 2:56
  cryogenically on the booster and possibly the show.

  Up coming up in the next few days, so it's 110.
• 3:04
  Now, on Wednesday the 11th, we have a road closure between 8
• 3:09
  a.m. and 8 p.m. that's Central Time, Texas time.
• 3:13
  So we have 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. road closure.
• 3:16
  So that time could be used to move.
• 3:18
  Booster 9 away from the testing a little bit, could move it back
• 3:23
  to the Bay so they can get it ready for a possible flight.
• 3:27
  If they figure out the booster 7, Isn't going to be ready for
• 3:30
  this flame so they have to get it ready.
• 3:32
  Have to get a prepared, they have to do some data checking on
• 3:35
  everything that happened when they test the Boost nine, or
• 3:38
  they could just move it off to the side off to The Landing Pad
• 3:41
  area of the of the orbital flight area.
• 3:45
  So booster 9 probably going to move it out of there.
• 3:47
  It's not going to take that long, probably an hour to move
• 3:50
  it out of there. And then after that, they could
• 3:53
  start up with cryogenic testing pressure testing of the booster
• 3:58
  and ship. Tomorrow.

  So Wednesday, January 11, I'm expecting between 8 a.m. and 8
• 4:05
  p.m. that they're going to be doing some cryo testing and some
• 4:08
  pressure testing but also they're going to test out the
• 4:10
  pipes to make sure everything works.
• 4:11
  Make sure everything can flow freely into the booster and into
• 4:16
  the ship. That's one of the first things
• 4:18
  they have to do in order for this flight to take place.
• 4:21
  Now, like I said before the booster had already done some
• 4:25
  static fires so could they repeat those steps?
• 4:29
  Attic fires while the ship is on top of it, to make sure that the
• 4:34
  ship can withstand the pressure of a full static fire at the end
• 4:40
  of the cycle before they actually launched this thing.
• 4:43
  So they're going to have to I think they're going to have to
• 4:46
  redo the whole Gambit of these static fire test, before they
• 4:50
  launch the full Starship because the FAA is watching, you know,
• 4:54
  and also NASA is watching and NASA is watching because SpaceX
• 4:58
  is using the Chip. Not this particular Starship,
• 5:02
  but they're using the Starship vehicle in the future to get
• 5:05
  humans back to the moon. Now, this is important.
• 5:11
  This is one of the most important missions that SpaceX
• 5:14
  could ever have is to send people to the moon.
• 5:18
  Now, they aren't going to send them in a Starship mind you.
• 5:21
  They're going to send NASA's going to send the astronauts on
• 5:24
  an SLS rocket in an Orion capsule and then they're going
• 5:27
  to dock with the Starship in lunar.
• 5:29
  Our orbit and then the people are going to transfer from the
• 5:33
  Orion capsule into the starship and then take the Starship down
• 5:37
  to the surface of the Moon. Okay.
• 5:39
  So this is this is seem very complex, right?
• 5:42
  And also the Starship has to refuel in orbit in Earth orbit,
• 5:47
  in order to get to the mood to it.
• 5:48
  So it's a very complicated process in.
• 5:50
  This is literally the very, very, very beginning of that
• 5:53
  whole process. This orbital flight test.
• 5:56
  If this goes out with goes on without a hitch, If this just
• 5:59
  flies, And it does everything that it needs to do on the first
• 6:02
  mission then SpaceX is in a really absolutely incredible
• 6:07
  place. And if it doesn't, then they
• 6:10
  will gather all the data that they need to gather in order to
• 6:15
  make the next test, even better than the first one.
• 6:19
  Now, we have the rocket doesn't make it off the pad.
• 6:22
  I talked about this in my last video and I'll link that at the

  end of this. Something drastic could happen.

  They could be months rebuilding, the orbital launch Mount, they
• 6:33
  could be a year, the FAA might step in and say, hey, we gotta
• 6:36
  step in here and see what happened.

  And even though the FAA knows that this is an experimental
• 6:42
  rocket, this is a rocket that will be sending people to the
• 6:46
  moon. So it's a very important
• 6:49
  Mission. Also, if the static fires of the
• 6:53
  booster from before are Located. This could take elon's, guess is
• 7:00
  as good as anybody's at this point.

  Yeah. I mean, he's the best person
• 7:03
  yet. He knows the most about this,
• 7:05
  but if they go through the whole Gambit of static fires, again
• 7:09
  we'll have to do a three engine. Static fire, seven engine static
• 7:13
  fire a 12 engine static fire or something along those lines and
• 7:17
  then move it up to possibly 19 or 20 engine static fire.

  Something these are numbers that are that are incremental as well
• 7:24
  so they'll start Small, work the way up to a larger number of
• 7:28
  raptor two engines on the booster and making sure that
• 7:32
  everything fits properly after every single one of these static
• 7:36
  fires because the thing is going to shake.
• 7:38
  These are the most powerful engines on the face of the Earth
• 7:41
  right now and this thing is going to be shaking the
• 7:46
  Starship, like it's never been shaken before and they have to
• 7:50
  make sure that it stays together before they do the launch.

  So everyone these static fires, they're going to do the fires to
• 7:56
  the static fires and then gather the data, make sure everything
• 7:59
  works properly and if it does, they'll move on to the next
• 8:01
  static fire and incrementally, go up in number of raptor
• 8:06
  engines. Now, this happened before they
• 8:09
  stacked. The Starship numerous times on
• 8:11
  top of the booster. They've done fit checks.
• 8:13
  They've done cryogenic tests. Ilan has said they've had launch
• 8:17
  dates before and most of the time because it is rocketry and
• 8:22

  could be September, it could be months after this whole test

  regimen goes through in the next few days here.

  You know, when we start seeing these tests happen.

  Now Wednesday, we have a We have a, we have a closure but we also

  have one on Thursday and we have one on Friday and one on Friday

  is 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. the reason why 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday

  is because SpaceX and Cameron County, where Starbase is
• 11:10
  located, have an agreement that SpaceX won't use the Starbase
• 11:15
  for testing facilities, or for testing on the weekends because
• 11:19
  people like to use the beach down there on the weekends.
• 11:23
  So, That's why they're only testing until 4 p.m. on Friday.
• 11:29
  So the possible closure. If something doesn't happen on
• 11:31
  Wednesday, they're going to move it to Thursday and then if
• 11:34
  something does happen on Thursday, the move it to Friday
• 11:36
  and they could use all these days as well.
• 11:38
  So alternative dates could be used as a potential full primary
• 11:42
  date in the future. SpaceX is done that before.
• 11:45
  And also, if the testing is going well, say, if they, if
• 11:48
  they ramp up the testing throughout the day and six
• 11:52
  o'clock rolls around 7:00, Around then they're like, oh we
• 11:56
  have a window of opportunity here between 7:00 and 9:00 to
• 12:00
  test. They can call somebody Cameron
• 12:02
  County be like, hey we need another hour or two in Cameron
• 12:05
  County will most likely grant them that time.
• 12:08
  So we could possibly see the the testing start early or so many
• 12:14
  times. We've seen it start midday in go
• 12:17
  for it until it gets dark. And then beyond that, I mean, I
• 12:22
  filmed from a side of highway for at Bass numerous times
• 12:26
  throughout the day. And then there were supposed to
• 12:29
  be a road closure at 2:00 in the afternoon and it just never
• 12:32
  happened. You know.
• 12:34
  And I'm like, I gotta get out of here by 2:00 and then I just
• 12:37
  never happened. So testing schedules are always
• 12:40
  fluid at Starbase but we can expect to see something exciting
• 12:45
  happening in the next week. So this whole week is going to
• 12:48
  be pretty cool. Next week is going to be even
• 12:50
  cooler. Hopefully, and we may even see a
• 12:53
  unstack Of the booster in the ship.
• 12:56
  If anything goes wrong or if they don't need it stacked
• 12:58
  anymore, like why risk it? If there are only doing some
• 13:01
  tests to make sure that everything fits properly after
• 13:04
  the ship and the booster both have been tested.
• 13:07
  So if they fit properly all good keep testing or they could
• 13:11
  unstack them, do some more testing individually and then
• 13:15
  put them back together eventually maybe in February or
• 13:19
  March again. And they've done that before
• 13:21
  they've stacked Indy stacked tested different things.
• 13:24
  So So it's kind of up in the air at this point.

  What they do with this thing, but I believe what they're going
• 13:30
  to do. Like I said before, we're going
• 13:32
  to do, cryogenic testing pressure testing, just to make
• 13:34
  sure everything works properly. When everything is put together.

  It's like a Lego, you know, set where everything has to work
• 13:40
  together. Everything has to stay together
• 13:42
  and if you shake it up, all the Legos, have to stay together.
• 13:46
  So, and if one flies off and got to go get it, start over again.

  Take it all apart. Yeah, exactly.

  So Little bit more complicated than the Lego set.

  But this rocket is absolutely amazing and I cannot wait for it
