Jackie the Eagle’s Tragic Passing | Washington DC News
A beloved bald eagle named Jackie, who captured hearts across the globe, has sadly passed away after a prolonged battle for survival. Injured in a territorial fight with younger eagles, she suffered from severe anemia and kidney inflammation, despite intensive, round-the-clock care at the Ojai Raptor Center. Even with all efforts, her condition continued to decline. Her remains are now with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife for further study, and the center asks for space as they grieve and process this heartbreaking loss.
