- 0:06Speaker 1: Good morning, Welcome into the Out of Bounds Show ESPN
- 0:11Speaker 1: one oh five nine the Zone. We're streaming live on
- 0:14Speaker 1: the Out of Bounds Radio app and you can also
- 0:17Speaker 1: watch the show on the YouTube channel out of Bound Sports.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Rolling along here, We've got a big weekend of baseball,
- 0:26Speaker 1: and y'all know that with the Dogs and the ReBs
- 0:28Speaker 1: in the Super Regional, and that's gonna be a it's
- 0:32Speaker 1: gonna be a lot of fun. You know, all misplaced
- 0:35Speaker 1: Tomorrow night and Friday night, eight o'clock, seven o'clock whatever.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Mississippi State plays at ten am Saturday morning, so you're
- 0:46Speaker 1: gonna have to have your Tito's Bloody Mary ready and
- 0:49Speaker 1: your cheese tray since its National Cheese Day. I know
- 0:54Speaker 1: we like to soup it up in the charcuterie board world,
- 0:57Speaker 1: but in that, in that all dogs are playing at
- 1:01Speaker 1: ten am, and it'll be eleven am their time in Athens,
- 1:06Speaker 1: but ten am first pitch, you're gonna have to be ready.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Jackson has agreed to get up by eleven am on
- 1:12Speaker 1: Saturday morning and personal record, Yeah, personal personal record, get
- 1:17Speaker 1: up at ten am. Right by the way. Jake Jake
- 1:21Speaker 1: Manning MS smart homes dot com joining us on the show.
- 1:25Speaker 1: But you said you would get up by eleven am,
- 1:27Speaker 1: which could be who knows what inning, But let's just
- 1:29Speaker 1: say it's the third inning, and you're gonna be ready.
- 1:33Speaker 1: A lot of baseball to go for the third inning. Okay,
- 1:35Speaker 1: there's plenty.
- 1:35Speaker 2: I mean, just talk about crazy times. I mean last
- 1:40Speaker 2: week the Ole Miss game. I mean, me and my
- 1:42Speaker 2: dad wanted to tap out, but we just couldn't.
- 1:44Speaker 3: They were battling. They just back and forth.
- 1:47Speaker 1: They had two extra inning games in one regional.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean they were battling.
- 1:52Speaker 1: What was fourteen fourteen on Friday? That went forever. I
- 1:56Speaker 1: did not stay it because I was I was at
- 1:59Speaker 1: it was. I got home, I walk over to a
- 2:02Speaker 1: buddy's house on his back porch and start will and
- 2:07Speaker 1: and we pour a little beverage and we're watching and
- 2:10Speaker 1: I was like, dude, I'm out. I mean, I got here,
- 2:15Speaker 1: and eventually this has got to play out. And fourteen innings. God,
- 2:20Speaker 1: I didn't even come close. I thought I'd donet. I
- 2:23Speaker 1: think I got in the I finished the tenth, maybe
- 2:27Speaker 1: the eleventh, and hell, they still kept rolling that.
- 2:31Speaker 3: They made an NFL play the gun on this at
- 2:33Speaker 3: home plate.
- 2:34Speaker 2: The guy on third. That made me so sad. I
- 2:37Speaker 2: just want to go to bed.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Oh you were it was a hell of a what
- 2:42Speaker 1: what Well, I don't even know what time it ended
- 2:45Speaker 1: two am, like two thirty. Okay, yeah, well so now
- 2:51Speaker 1: the Dogs and the ReBs are playing SEC teams in
- 2:54Speaker 1: the Super Regional. I don't agree with that. That that's
- 2:57Speaker 1: what the committee has to do to not have it
- 3:00Speaker 1: all SEC. So all miss at Auburn, Mississippi State, at
- 3:04Speaker 1: at Georgia, and uh, George's beat Missippi State four times
- 3:09Speaker 1: this year. It's a good thing, you know, three swept
- 3:13Speaker 1: him at home and then beat them at Hoover.
- 3:16Speaker 3: It's a good thing.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:17Speaker 1: No, I mean it's damn difficult. George is really good,
- 3:20Speaker 1: but it's really difficult to be the team six times.
- 3:23Speaker 1: So we'll see how it how it looks. And I'm
- 3:26Speaker 1: saying that because I think that's true.
- 3:27Speaker 3: I believe it.
- 3:28Speaker 1: I'm no backing from chat yet, don't need it. We'll
- 3:32Speaker 1: see what Claude says. All right. Jake Manning MS smart
- 3:36Speaker 1: homes dot com. Now Jake fits into we're gonna talk
- 3:38Speaker 1: security first, but he does fit into our game day
- 3:41Speaker 1: space because he makes your surround sound system in your
- 3:44Speaker 1: living room, den, game room, man cave. Amazing when you're
- 3:49Speaker 1: from watching golf to FIFA World Cup to the Super
- 3:52Speaker 1: Regionals to Omaha to SEC football in the NFL. That's
- 3:56Speaker 1: all powered by MS smart homes dot Com. But something
- 3:59Speaker 1: that's important to all of us is security and safety, right, Yeah,
- 4:04Speaker 1: and that's the you do a lot of things, but
- 4:06Speaker 1: let's start with that.
- 4:07Speaker 3: Yeah, you guys, really, it's our bread and butter.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's Google has done such a good job
- 4:13Speaker 2: of releasing new products and making them actually more affordable.
- 4:17Speaker 2: And you know, capitalism doing what it does, making products
- 4:20Speaker 2: better and more affordable. And so like our base camera package, doorbell,
- 4:25Speaker 2: two cameras, everything hardwired. One camera in the garage watching
- 4:30Speaker 2: the car port and drive away, one camera.
- 4:32Speaker 3: On the back door watching the backyard.
- 4:35Speaker 2: For most people, that's what they care to see everything
- 4:38Speaker 2: in except for tax it's fifteen hundred bucks installed teaching
- 4:41Speaker 2: white glove handoff.
- 4:43Speaker 1: And that's that's safety and security.
- 4:46Speaker 3: And that's the thing that kills me. And we're happy
- 4:48Speaker 3: to oblige clients.
- 4:50Speaker 2: But it happens all the time that people call us
- 4:52Speaker 2: because an incident happened, right, And it's just it's so
- 4:56Speaker 2: upsetting knowing that we could have prevented that, or we
- 4:58Speaker 2: could have reclaimed that prop And I understand that you
- 5:01Speaker 2: know that they're wanting to protect themselves from.
- 5:03Speaker 3: A future incident, But.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Today's tom you know, I mean, fifteen hundred dollars to
- 5:10Speaker 2: have twenty four to seven recording of your house and
- 5:14Speaker 2: it's really not it's not that big of an expense
- 5:18Speaker 2: for if you peace of mind needed it, If you
- 5:22Speaker 2: needed it after the fact, you're gonna be kicking yourself
- 5:24Speaker 2: that you didn't spend fifteen hundred bucks on it when
- 5:26Speaker 2: you came.
- 5:26Speaker 1: You got kids in and out of the house, you
- 5:28Speaker 1: have dogs in the house that you love, You got
- 5:31Speaker 1: your stuff that you like. There's a lot going on here.
- 5:35Speaker 3: We do.
- 5:36Speaker 2: We do all kinds of stuff. I mean, we really
- 5:38Speaker 2: are full service one stoff shop. But we we had
- 5:40Speaker 2: a client that we did an insult for a couple
- 5:43Speaker 2: of years ago and she called me freaking out, and
- 5:46Speaker 2: they wanted cameras really bad because her two year old
- 5:49Speaker 2: had gotten right up on the lake and like was
- 5:52Speaker 2: on the pier and the neighbor saw it and called them.
- 5:56Speaker 2: And see, like with the Google cameras, you can create
- 6:00Speaker 2: it has geminis Ai built in. They're crazy intelligent. We
- 6:04Speaker 2: can create activity zones. And it wouldn't just say like
- 6:07Speaker 2: person seeing in the backyard. It's say your son, their name,
- 6:11Speaker 2: Jake walking in the backyard towards the lake, so something
- 6:15Speaker 2: to that effect. It doesn't say person seen in your driveway.
- 6:18Speaker 2: It says middle aged man got out of a brown
- 6:20Speaker 2: truck and walked up in that house. And then the
- 6:23Speaker 2: best part is you can search it now. So used
- 6:25Speaker 2: to one of the big problems with you had to
- 6:28Speaker 2: did I have an incident at three in the morning
- 6:29Speaker 2: and you're scrolling, you can ask it, did Jake's.
- 6:32Speaker 3: Crew come by my house today?
- 6:34Speaker 2: It'll say, yeah, mister Bee Smart homes van, what's in
- 6:36Speaker 2: the driveway from ten thirty?
- 6:37Speaker 3: And it'll pull the clip right up.
- 6:40Speaker 2: So that little things like that just make it so
- 6:45Speaker 2: much more functional than like a traditional camera.
- 6:49Speaker 1: System and ten and fifteen and twenty years ago, because
- 6:51Speaker 1: the bells and whistles are so much better.
- 6:53Speaker 2: And that's the biggest thing is getting notifications where they're meaningful.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Right.
- 6:57Speaker 2: That means if they're bothering you all the time, you're
- 6:59Speaker 2: just going to them off. That's but then if they're
- 7:01Speaker 2: not notifying you when you need them. They're not doing
- 7:03Speaker 2: their job, and that's.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Yeah, But as a parent, I'll get notified. Yeah, I'm in.
- 7:08Speaker 2: I mean for fifteen hundred bars just to have facial
- 7:11Speaker 2: recognition and advanced detection where you can search and twenty
- 7:15Speaker 2: four to seven recording. That's just a crazy amount of
- 7:19Speaker 2: functionality for the price. And normally people would just get
- 7:23Speaker 2: a sixteen camera hardwired system and like we have cameras
- 7:26Speaker 2: if we get broken into, right and maybe they would
- 7:29Speaker 2: check them here and.
- 7:29Speaker 3: There, but that it's just totally different.
- 7:32Speaker 2: When it's smart, we can customize them and all of
- 7:36Speaker 2: that's White Glove and part of our.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Installs mssmarthomes dot com locally owned MS smart homes dot com.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Jake Manning on the Out of Bound show ESPN one
- 7:48Speaker 1: oh five nine The Zone, MS smart homes dot Com.
- 7:51Speaker 1: All right, you're all so security safety huge spreading bucks
- 7:56Speaker 1: fifteen hundred bucks all day long.
- 7:57Speaker 3: We do monitored alarms too.
- 7:59Speaker 2: If you are listening to the show right now and
- 8:01Speaker 2: you care even at all about Jake Manning Emissippi smart Homes,
- 8:05Speaker 2: If you have a monitored alarm and you don't care,
- 8:08Speaker 2: who's monitoring it.
- 8:09Speaker 3: Please call us. We would love to monitor your alarm.
- 8:13Speaker 2: And we do same day support, but we do cameras
- 8:16Speaker 2: and alarms when it comes to that. So if you
- 8:19Speaker 2: do have an alarm, it's not being monitored, you want
- 8:21Speaker 2: it monitored.
- 8:22Speaker 3: We can work on pre existing equipment if.
- 8:24Speaker 2: You've already got an alarm, but hell, you don't even
- 8:26Speaker 2: know what you're paying for it.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Which is a lot of people.
- 8:29Speaker 3: Yeah, we do, we do it.
- 8:32Speaker 2: We're young, we're hungry, so we tend to be cheaper
- 8:34Speaker 2: than anybody else, and then obviously we're going to take.
- 8:37Speaker 3: Better care of you than anybody else, no doubt.
- 8:39Speaker 1: MS smart homes dot Com. I've got both in my
- 8:43Speaker 1: man cave and in my living room den, plus the
- 8:46Speaker 1: camera that he mentioned cameras in the back of my house.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Jake Manning, mssmart homes dot Com. Now let's also talk
- 8:53Speaker 1: about the commercial component that MS smart Homes offers.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Yes, we've really grown to be completely full service. Everything
- 9:05Speaker 2: it under a roof residential or commercial, new construction or retrofit.
- 9:10Speaker 2: And the biggest advantage that's what we do for our clients,
- 9:13Speaker 2: and then.
- 9:14Speaker 3: We service the whole state. So if you're somebody.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Else I've seen you in Startle and Oxford.
- 9:18Speaker 3: Starvell Oxford.
- 9:19Speaker 2: I mean, we've been as south as o Psychon, as
- 9:21Speaker 2: north as Corinth. I mean, so we literally service the
- 9:24Speaker 2: whole state. And that's a huge service that we can offer.
- 9:28Speaker 2: If you've got a house in the Jackson metro, a
- 9:31Speaker 2: game day, a hunting camp, an office of business, you
- 9:34Speaker 2: want all of those things working on one app that's
- 9:38Speaker 2: easy to use that if any of that stuff messes up,
- 9:41Speaker 2: there's only one person to call and they offer same
- 9:44Speaker 2: day service. That's what we do, and that level of
- 9:48Speaker 2: convenience for both your business, for your home, for your
- 9:51Speaker 2: hunting camp, for your house, for your condo, whatever it is,
- 9:55Speaker 2: is really what makes us the best at what we
- 9:59Speaker 2: do and being able to serve the client in a
- 10:02Speaker 2: way that just nobody else can.
- 10:03Speaker 1: M ssmarthomes dot com Jake Manning on the Out of
- 10:08Speaker 1: Bound show, mssmart Homes dot com. In fact, your guy
- 10:12Speaker 1: just text me yeah.
- 10:14Speaker 3: So that's yeah.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Both texted me last night at about five thirty say, hey, man,
- 10:19Speaker 2: I remote's not working. My camera's offline. And it's not
- 10:23Speaker 2: just because it's both.
- 10:24Speaker 4: Uh.
- 10:25Speaker 2: We do that for all of our clients, whether that's
- 10:29Speaker 2: you're texting us that your WiFi is messed up, or
- 10:31Speaker 2: your camera's offline, or your remotes not working. I mean,
- 10:34Speaker 2: we have a guy in the office that his full
- 10:36Speaker 2: time job is support love it.
- 10:38Speaker 3: He exists and answered the phone.
- 10:40Speaker 2: If he can't fix it on the phone with you,
- 10:42Speaker 2: then he goes, hey, budd are you home now?
- 10:44Speaker 1: I will say this ninety percent of the time, y'all
- 10:48Speaker 1: can fix it over the phone.
- 10:49Speaker 3: Yeah, little coachability, little FaceTime.
- 10:52Speaker 1: And we don't think we can do it, but we
- 10:54Speaker 1: can because I've called y'all and you're like, I just
- 10:59Speaker 1: do this and this, and it's simple.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Well, and that's one of the advantages of having a showroom.
- 11:04Speaker 2: I mean, at this point, David and I've done it
- 11:06Speaker 2: so many times that we've.
- 11:07Speaker 3: Probably got it pre memorized.
- 11:08Speaker 2: But a lot of the times in the showroom, we're
- 11:11Speaker 2: doing it with you. So when we're when you're sitting
- 11:14Speaker 2: there going like, how does he know exactly where I'm
- 11:16Speaker 2: trying to go? I have the same remote, I go
- 11:18Speaker 2: three down right settings. We're doing it on equipment in
- 11:22Speaker 2: the office.
- 11:23Speaker 1: And if I can do it, anybody.
- 11:25Speaker 3: Can do it. Anybody can do it.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Yeah, Jackson knows that. Yeah right, Jay Meadows, I mean
- 11:31Speaker 1: you you may not be able to fix that microphone
- 11:34Speaker 1: microphone stand? No, I can't. Do you think that thing
- 11:37Speaker 1: will be fixed before sec media day's uh? No shot
- 11:40Speaker 1: by the end of the day. Okay, whoa end of
- 11:45Speaker 1: the day. I give me like three hours.
- 11:46Speaker 5: Can we get that on like Calshie or something like. No,
- 11:50Speaker 5: you can't be astronomical like to bet the under. I
- 11:53Speaker 5: would take the under. Okay, I life too short to
- 11:57Speaker 5: bet the under.
- 11:58Speaker 1: So this micro phone stand will be will be fixed
- 12:02Speaker 1: by the end of the day eleven thirty eight.
- 12:04Speaker 4: Honestly, as soon as we get off with some good
- 12:06Speaker 4: let's not get too crazy, I'm going downstairs getting the.
- 12:08Speaker 3: Real question is do you have a flat? No?
- 12:11Speaker 1: We what downstairs?
- 12:11Speaker 3: I mean?
- 12:12Speaker 1: I mean NAPA Auto Parts is a client and they
- 12:16Speaker 1: sell Milwaukee tools, in which Jake Manning with MS Smart
- 12:19Speaker 1: Homes came in this morning was talking about how awesome
- 12:22Speaker 1: Milwaukee tools are. And so I'm sitting here thinking, I
- 12:26Speaker 1: guess I've got to carry or just a little bitty
- 12:29Speaker 1: tool bag back here in the in the cla if
- 12:32Speaker 1: I don't have one already. Yeah, I think there's got
- 12:34Speaker 1: to be or maybe Mark has one at Biglebagel in Massa.
- 12:37Speaker 1: I know we've gone down there and poached off them.
- 12:39Speaker 4: I'm not leaving campus, Okay, I'll be on campus and
- 12:42Speaker 4: I will fix this by ten thirty.
- 12:44Speaker 1: All right, let's switch gears. Jake Manning MS smart homes
- 12:47Speaker 1: dot Com Security Safety. They'll take care of it. Fifteen
- 12:51Speaker 1: hundred dollars package to be able to see it on
- 12:53Speaker 1: your phone, to know what's going on the in and out.
- 12:56Speaker 1: The Amazon drops your kids in and out, whether they're
- 12:59Speaker 1: four grade, eighth grade, high school, all the different people
- 13:03Speaker 1: that are moving around all of our places.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Kids think it's cool.
- 13:07Speaker 1: They can actually mark it for dad.
- 13:11Speaker 3: The teenagers tend to get pretty pissed. We had a
- 13:14Speaker 3: melt down the other day.
- 13:15Speaker 2: I was like doing the teaching for the mom and
- 13:17Speaker 2: their seventeen year old daughter walked in and was like,
- 13:20Speaker 2: excuse me.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Yea, what are we doing here?
- 13:23Speaker 1: That's right?
- 13:23Speaker 3: And I was like, it's done.
- 13:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm sorry. In the book, my life is over,
- 13:31Speaker 2: My life is over, and her dad, my god.
- 13:32Speaker 1: I can't sneak out at two am in the morning
- 13:34Speaker 1: without to see my boyfriend with my parents seeing it.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Her dad goes, excuse me, what the hell have you
- 13:39Speaker 3: been doing? Yeah, exactly, this is even a problem.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 13:42Speaker 2: I didn't know that this was gonna change your quality
- 13:45Speaker 2: of life at all.
- 13:46Speaker 1: See, I'm a nineties kid. We didn't have that show.
- 13:51Speaker 1: We were able to just whatever. But no, that's funny
- 13:54Speaker 1: that I can just see that a high school senior going,
- 13:57Speaker 1: hang on, do I have beacho power? And the parents
- 14:01Speaker 1: are like, no, we want safety.
- 14:03Speaker 2: And the funniest part was her little sister is in
- 14:06Speaker 2: middle school and she was sitting there going she's face
- 14:09Speaker 2: on on her friends and she's going, it's over, it's over.
- 14:13Speaker 2: Her sister in the background goes for me, it never
- 14:15Speaker 2: even started.
- 14:18Speaker 1: That's great, all right, we got to switch gears. Mississippi
- 14:21Speaker 1: State is going to Athens and Brian O'Connor talks about
- 14:26Speaker 1: going to BUCkies And I've never been to a BUCkies?
- 14:29Speaker 3: Are you kidding? No?
- 14:30Speaker 1: And so that's way too much stuff going on for me. Yeah,
- 14:34Speaker 1: and I don't want to be. So here's where I am, Jake,
- 14:37Speaker 1: And this probably is not says this doesn't say anything
- 14:40Speaker 1: good about me, But I can't stop and mess around
- 14:45Speaker 1: on it. When I'm going somewhere like the most I
- 14:49Speaker 1: want to stop is five minutes. Right, let's let's if
- 14:52Speaker 1: we need to get gas in the car or whatever.
- 14:55Speaker 1: I'm rolling and I don't want to you know.
- 15:00Speaker 3: It is experience, right, yeah, I have no I.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Don't want to sit there and burn forty when I
- 15:06Speaker 1: could get to Orange Beach Destiner thirty eight and get
- 15:10Speaker 1: there and get everything ready and start enjoying the I
- 15:13Speaker 1: just sander the balcony.
- 15:15Speaker 3: I do love BUCkies.
- 15:16Speaker 2: But to your point, we were coming back from the
- 15:18Speaker 2: beach the stop of the BUCkies to go to a
- 15:20Speaker 2: nice bathroom.
- 15:21Speaker 1: No doubt, I've heard it's like Christine.
- 15:25Speaker 2: Yeah, getting out of the parking lot, they had people
- 15:29Speaker 2: running traffic. I was like, what kind of gas station
- 15:31Speaker 2: are we at where we've got three or four employees running?
- 15:36Speaker 1: How about that?
- 15:37Speaker 3: Yeah they are.
- 15:38Speaker 1: I mean it's like being valeted at a rich Fulton
- 15:41Speaker 1: all right, you're coming in?
- 15:43Speaker 3: Yeah, well even.
- 15:45Speaker 1: And evidently they have so many bathroom attendants. It's like
- 15:49Speaker 1: when I was at the Masters two months ago, there's
- 15:52Speaker 1: four hundred people in there cleaning up. You feel like
- 15:55Speaker 1: they just renovated it and cleaned it every time you
- 15:58Speaker 1: walk back in.
- 15:58Speaker 3: Yeah, this is.
- 16:00Speaker 2: But it's the you get anything in that place. It's amazing,
- 16:04Speaker 2: it really is.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Have you been Jackson, you you have her have it?
- 16:09Speaker 1: I have, But it was there wasn't perusing. We were
- 16:12Speaker 1: in and out. That's incredible for you because you can
- 16:15Speaker 1: waste more time than anybody I've ever seen.
- 16:17Speaker 4: Problem was, I just wasted like an hour, so we
- 16:20Speaker 4: were My allotment was out for the day.
- 16:24Speaker 1: I didn't even know you had that.
- 16:26Speaker 3: I don't.
- 16:26Speaker 1: I didn't even know that could be spent. It's unlimited, right.
- 16:30Speaker 2: I just thought maybe it's only when he's in the
- 16:32Speaker 2: company of other people, you know.
- 16:34Speaker 1: Were you were you trying to go to the beach
- 16:36Speaker 1: or come back for Were you somewhere else? We were
- 16:38Speaker 1: coming back, and I just we needed to get home.
- 16:41Speaker 1: We need to get home. Okay, fair enough, So anyway,
- 16:44Speaker 1: the Mississippi State. Do you have the clip? All right?
- 16:48Speaker 1: This is Brian O'Connor talking about the MSU baseball team
- 16:53Speaker 1: stopping it a bucky somewhere. I didn't see one on
- 16:56Speaker 1: the way to Atlanta. That doesn't mean there wasn't one,
- 16:59Speaker 1: but I thought that they would be uh flying by
- 17:04Speaker 1: the way. I don't understand why they're bussing. That blows
- 17:07Speaker 1: me away, But let's drop it about three hours down
- 17:11Speaker 1: the road.
- 17:12Speaker 6: We're gonna stop at a BUCkies and give them thirty
- 17:16Speaker 6: minutes of BUCkies. I told them no showers though you
- 17:19Speaker 6: know you can shower at BUCkies. You're not gonna shower there.
- 17:21Speaker 6: But get as many beaver nuggets as they want to get.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Okay, nobody gets sick.
- 17:27Speaker 3: You know.
- 17:28Speaker 6: My point with all saying sharing that with you is
- 17:30Speaker 6: it's intentional, right, you want them to enjoy it, to
- 17:34Speaker 6: be lose, to have fun. And they've been craving to
- 17:37Speaker 6: go to BUCkies all year.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Uh.
- 17:39Speaker 6: They wanted to go to BUCkies on the way to
- 17:41Speaker 6: Hattiesburg from Dallas when we bust and I told them
- 17:46Speaker 6: they didn't earn BUCkies, right, we didn't beat uc LA
- 17:49Speaker 6: finished the weekend off. They earned BUCkies after this past weekends.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Okay, all right, so we should have given Jake some
- 18:01Speaker 1: some headsets. But we'll go over real quick. O'Connor reference
- 18:04Speaker 1: that they wanted when they got stranded and grounded in
- 18:08Speaker 1: Dallas after the U c l A game which went
- 18:10Speaker 1: late and they couldn't get on their plane to get
- 18:13Speaker 1: to Hattiesburg to play Southern miss Uh. Then they had
- 18:17Speaker 1: to bus all night and they wanted to go to BUCkies,
- 18:20Speaker 1: and O'Connor said, you didn't deserve it, you didn't beat
- 18:23Speaker 1: U C l A. So now he get he gives in.
- 18:27Speaker 1: He said, hey, you won the regional okay at home,
- 18:30Speaker 1: and you get to stop at BUCkies and get these
- 18:34Speaker 1: pulled pork brisket sandwiches and beaver nuggets that everybody talks about.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Now I can make it.
- 18:39Speaker 3: There's also the jerky.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Okay, the jerky, you had it? I'm not a guy, Okay,
- 18:44Speaker 1: got it.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Apparently it's the real deal, all right?
- 18:46Speaker 1: Have you had? Have you had the beaver nuggets or
- 18:49Speaker 1: the brisket sandwich?
- 18:51Speaker 3: Honest, I'm a little scared of that.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Yeah, me too.
- 18:53Speaker 3: Yeah it's called beaver nuggets. Man, I'm scared.
- 18:56Speaker 1: And you're hoping that the players will be okay, but
- 18:59Speaker 1: but you know they eat other things on the road too,
- 19:02Speaker 1: So what what are we doing?
- 19:04Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 19:04Speaker 1: It's so different thing going through a really solid to
- 19:09Speaker 1: quality fast food place. Is that there? I mean, would
- 19:13Speaker 1: where where would you put Bucky's food? Would you put
- 19:16Speaker 1: it at fast food level? Or would you put it
- 19:18Speaker 1: at like QSR level QFR?
- 19:20Speaker 3: No way, okay?
- 19:23Speaker 1: Would you put it at quick service? Restaurant level. Yeah, okay,
- 19:27Speaker 1: all right, I'm.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Just what they have going on in there. As a
- 19:30Speaker 3: small business owner, it's flabbergas and there's such incredible there's.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Seven hundred people, there's seven hundred different items in the store.
- 19:37Speaker 3: I don't know how they keep up with any of them.
- 19:39Speaker 1: And truly it's pretty wild. So there's seven hundred, there's
- 19:43Speaker 1: a there's a Mississippi state guy that oh, they.
- 19:46Speaker 3: Sell like fine art on the wall.
- 19:47Speaker 2: And then then you've got like what you get your
- 19:50Speaker 2: knives in your in your American T shirt and.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Like I love all that. I mean, I'm all into
- 19:55Speaker 1: getting patriotic. I'm still not going to go if I
- 19:57Speaker 1: don't have to. I would think that the only person
- 20:00Speaker 1: it can talk me into it is if I ever
- 20:02Speaker 1: and I don't want them right now, if I ever
- 20:04Speaker 1: have grandkids, because you'll do anything. The one thing that
- 20:08Speaker 1: I got to see in my life is when you
- 20:12Speaker 1: become I'm not one right now, but my parents and
- 20:14Speaker 1: Winny's parents, when you become a grandparent, you'll do any
- 20:17Speaker 1: of that stuff just because it's stuff to kill time.
- 20:20Speaker 1: And you got the little person and they're three or four,
- 20:22Speaker 1: and if they want Beaver nuggets you'll get and you're
- 20:25Speaker 1: taking them. You know you're retired. You get to go
- 20:28Speaker 1: to the beach whenever, so you take them off your
- 20:30Speaker 1: kids' hands because they're still working in their thirties and forties, twenties,
- 20:35Speaker 1: thirty fours. That's the only thing that I see. So
- 20:39Speaker 1: if I can make it, whether I'm here for another
- 20:42Speaker 1: month or fifteen years, if I can make it without
- 20:44Speaker 1: going to BUCkies other than taking grandkids, I'll be good.
- 20:49Speaker 1: I think one day you'll act.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Excidently out on an American pastime.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Look that may be the truth. That may be true.
- 20:56Speaker 1: I may do it. I'm not going to do it
- 20:57Speaker 1: during this time of year. Here's the deal. June and July,
- 21:01Speaker 1: and I don't even know if I'm going to the
- 21:03Speaker 1: beach in the next few weeks. But June and July
- 21:07Speaker 1: it Jake, as you know, I mean, it's insanity on
- 21:11Speaker 1: it ten. So I can't do it. So the only
- 21:13Speaker 1: way I'd be able to do it is like if
- 21:15Speaker 1: Winnie and I go to the beach in October, which
- 21:17Speaker 1: is our favorite time, and it's at least fifty percent
- 21:20Speaker 1: less people, even though it's still busy. Does that make sense?
- 21:23Speaker 3: Jake Manning No, I hate large crowns.
- 21:27Speaker 4: I do.
- 21:28Speaker 1: Can you imagine what BUCkies is like today? Yeah, and
- 21:30Speaker 1: tomorrow and the next day with it being peak beach
- 21:32Speaker 1: season in Orange Beach destined in thirty eight that one
- 21:35Speaker 1: past Orange Beach or whatever at Orange Beach? It is
- 21:39Speaker 1: it slept past? Yeah, they already do numbers regardless whether
- 21:42Speaker 1: it's December or January. Can you imagine what they do
- 21:45Speaker 1: in May through August?
- 21:47Speaker 3: Just like a report of like their sales.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, makes me sad.
- 21:54Speaker 3: You know, we were we pull wire, we mount Peb's.
- 21:56Speaker 2: They said, they're like, yeah, we sold four hundred thousand
- 21:58Speaker 2: dollars worth of jerky this month.
- 22:00Speaker 1: No, like this week.
- 22:01Speaker 4: A typical BUCkies travel centers average fifteen to twenty k
- 22:06Speaker 4: a day.
- 22:09Speaker 3: Is that counting gas sale?
- 22:10Speaker 4: No, thirty thirty k on the on heavy holiday travel
- 22:15Speaker 4: and beach travel.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Absoulutely, I think that's low, but I think it's less.
- 22:21Speaker 1: I think I can go with the thirty k. Fifteen
- 22:24Speaker 1: sounds really low. So we've got a texture, it said.
- 22:29Speaker 1: The brisket sandwich is definitely a must try. Everybody keeps
- 22:33Speaker 1: telling us that one. Yeah, so the big ones, the
- 22:35Speaker 1: big I think they'll have a brisket sandwich at Martin's
- 22:37Speaker 1: and Livingston and just call it even.
- 22:40Speaker 4: They're seeing no way, they're seeing fifty five to eighty
- 22:43Speaker 4: thousand a week surprising vehicles on.
- 22:48Speaker 1: They've got one in in on the in the coast area,
- 22:51Speaker 1: and they've got one in the Orange Beach exit area
- 22:54Speaker 1: if you're going there or destined or thirty a.
- 22:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:57Speaker 1: Average amountain, which is the one Jake's been too.
- 23:00Speaker 4: Average amount spent per customer almost sixty dollars.
- 23:04Speaker 1: That's incredible. It's fifty eight bucks. That is strong. What
- 23:07Speaker 1: you that's an incredible number that is per person walking
- 23:11Speaker 1: in Bucky sixty bucks. Beamer nuggets.
- 23:17Speaker 3: I don't know what are we doing.
- 23:18Speaker 1: I don't know. They're selling American flag hats, which I love.
- 23:21Speaker 1: They're selling beaver nuggets and brisket sandwiches and crushing it
- 23:25Speaker 1: and I guess a bunch of cold beer. Right, all right,
- 23:29Speaker 1: Jake Manning, you want your house to be secure. You
- 23:32Speaker 1: want the security. You want to have it on your phone.
- 23:34Speaker 1: You want to know who's going in and out, whether
- 23:36Speaker 1: it's the people that live in your house or all
- 23:38Speaker 1: the other things that go on in your house, your condo.
- 23:41Speaker 1: You're hunting camp commercial. They can handle it all. You
- 23:44Speaker 1: only have to call one person ms Smarthomes dot com.
