- 0:00Exodus chapter 23 verse one, you should not raise a false report
- 0:06and put your hand with the wicked to be unrighteous
- 0:09witness. So just know that you are who
- 0:12the company that you keep friends, you are a
- 0:15representative of that and if they are doing wrong, so are you
- 0:18and you will 100% pick up on the habits of those that you
- 0:24surround yourself with. Verse 2 You shall not follow a
- 0:28multitude to do evil, neither shall are you speaking A cause
- 0:31to decline after many to rest judgement.
- 0:34So you need to know that if the people that you are hanging
- 0:38around are doing evil, it will automatically be assumed that
- 0:41you are as well. Verse 3 Neither shall you
- 0:45countenance a poor man in his cause.
- 0:47So he's saying, do not make fun, do not take advantage of someone
- 0:52who is in a poor state for and if you meet your enemies ox or
- 0:57his donkey going astray, you shall surely bring it back to
- 1:00him again. So he's saying if it is within
- 1:03your power to return back the goods of someone who you do not
- 1:08have a great relationship with, perhaps God is using that
- 1:12situation to reconcile you back together. 4 But if you see the
- 1:19donkey of him that hates you lying under his burden and woods
- 1:24for bear to help him, you shall surely help with them.
- 1:27So he's saying, if it's within your power to help, you need to
- 1:30do so. Six you shall not rest the
- 1:33judgement of the poor and his cause.
- 1:36So he's saying, make sure that you take care of those that are
- 1:40poor. Do not turn your back on them or
- 1:42do not refuse to hear them just because they are poor. 7 Keep
- 1:46you far from a false matter, and the innocent and the righteous
- 1:50slay you not, for I will not justify the wicked.
- 1:54So you need to know that just because you have more money
- 1:57doesn't make you better than 8 And you shall take no gift, for
- 2:02the gift blinds the wise and perverts the words of the
- 2:05righteous. So you need to know that bribery
- 2:08is a great entryway to evil. 9 Also, you shall not oppress a
- 2:14stranger, for you know the heart of a stranger, saying that you
- 2:17were strangers in the land of Egypt.
- 2:19So said God says, remember where you came from and for us today
- 2:24we need to remember that we were once sinners, we were once lost,
- 2:28we were once naked and blind friends before God clothed us
- 2:32and opened our eyes. 10 And six years you shall sow the land
- 2:37that shall gather in the the fruits of it. 11 But the 7th
- 2:42year you shall let it rest and lie still, and the poor of your
- 2:46people may eat what they leave. The beast of the field shall
- 2:49eat. And in like manner you shall
- 2:51deal with the vineyard and with your olive yard.
- 2:54So you need to understand that for six years they were to
- 2:57gather in all of the harvest, but on the 7th year they were to
- 3:02allow the poor to go in and to gather and to eat.
- 3:06And isn't it just like God to make sure to take care of the
- 3:10poor? 12-6 days you shall do your
- 3:14work, and on the 7th day you shall rest, that your ox and
- 3:18your donkey may rest, and the son of your handmaid and the
- 3:22stranger may be refreshed. So not only does God care about
- 3:25the Israelites, but he also cares about the animals.
- 3:28And not only does he care about the animals, but he cares about
- 3:31the stranger in the land as well. 13 And then all things
- 3:37that I have said unto you, be circumspect, and make no mention
- 3:41of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of
- 3:45your mouth. So he's saying, don't even
- 3:47mention it. Make sure you give no word play,
- 3:53give no respect unto the disgusting names of the evil.
- 4:00They don't even need to enter into your mouth. 14 Three times
- 4:06you shall keep a feast unto me in the year. 15 You shall keep
- 4:10the Feast of Unleavened Bread. You shall eat Unleavened bread 7
- 4:14days, as I commanded you in the time appointed in the month of
- 4:17Abib, For in it you came out from Egypt, and none shall
- 4:21appear before me empty. So he's saying the first one
- 4:25that you need to keep is the Feast of Unleavened Bread, 16
- 4:32and the Feast of Harvest, the first fruits of your laborers
- 4:35which you have sown in the field, and the Feast of End
- 4:39gathering, which is at the end of the year when you have
- 4:42gathered in your laborers out of the field.
- 4:44So for three times a year, there to honor the Lord and to give
- 4:48God all respect and due praise for him, bringing them out of
- 4:54Egypt, giving them the land flowing with milk and honey,
- 4:57remembering all the times that He delivered them, remembering
- 5:01who gives them their sustenance. Friends, that is what God is
- 5:05saying here. 17 Three times in the year all your mail shall
- 5:12appear before the Lord God. So every single man and every
- 5:19single boy was to appear before God. 3 * a year. 18 You shall
- 5:28not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread,
- 5:32neither shall the fat of my sacrifice remain until the
- 5:36morning. So he's saying do not mix blood
- 5:40with bread. He's saying don't do it in the
- 5:46leaven we know is the yeast, which is representative of the
- 5:51sin. So the sin and the holy blood of
- 5:55our Lord, they do not mix friends and he's saying don't
- 6:01let fat remain until the morning.
- 6:04If you do not consume it, it is to be completely burned up. 19
- 6:10The first of the first fruits of of your land you shall bring
- 6:15into the House of the Lord your God.
- 6:17You shall not see the kid in his mother's milk.
- 6:20So here he's taking care of the priests.
- 6:23He's going to take care of the Levites eventually whenever he
- 6:26institute's the temple worship. But you need to know also
- 6:30there's some kind of witchcraft in here of putting the little go
- 6:35in with the mother's milk was thought of to be some kind of
- 6:40power over some spiritual stuff. And it's all a disgusting thing.
- 6:45We see that God actually cares for mothers, and he thinks that
- 6:49it is disgusting and deplorable for us to intermingle the
- 6:54offspring with the milk of the mother. 21 Behold, I send an
- 6:59Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into
- 7:03the place which I have prepared. So there's Jesus Christ
- 7:06Preincarnate coming on the scene, robed in deity, and he's
- 7:11going to lead them home, friends. 21 Beware of him and
- 7:15obey his voice. Provoke him not, for he will not
- 7:18pardon your transgressions, for my name is in him, He is God,
- 7:23Jesus is God. 22 But if you shall indeed obey his voice and
- 7:28do all that I speak, then I will be be an enemy to your enemies,
- 7:32an adversary to your adversaries.
- 7:35So you need to know, friends, that if God is for us, who can
- 7:38be against us? And if we are on God's side, we
- 7:41are more powerful than all the armies of the entire world all
- 7:45put together, every atomic bomb all put together, friends, one
- 7:49Christian outweighs every single bit of the force that's in this
- 7:53world because God Almighty is their protector. 23 For my Angel
- 7:58shall go before he can bring you into the Amorites.
- 8:02And they hit the tights and the parasites and the Canaanites,
- 8:05the Hivites and the Jebusites, and I will cut them off.
- 8:09So there's no, they can't stand against the holy God.
- 8:12There is no opposition. God breaks down all of their
- 8:15defenses. 24 You shall not bow down to their gods, nor serve
- 8:22them, nor do after their works, but you shall utterly overthrow
- 8:26them and quite break down their images.
- 8:28There is nothing that can stand against our God.
- 8:32He breaks down every single opposition.
- 8:35There is no character on this earth.
- 8:38There's no amount of money on this earth.
- 8:40There's no earthly defense on this earth.
- 8:44There is no fortresses, there's no gate, there's no wall, there
- 8:49is no layer. There is nothing that can stop
- 8:54our God from breaking out in the land.
- 8:57We need to understand that that God is all powerful and he's all
- 9:01knowing and he's everywhere all at once, and that is the God
- 9:05that we serve, the only one true living God.
- 9:08There's no other gods. 25 And you shall serve the Lord your
- 9:16God, and he shall bless your bread and your water, and I will
- 9:19take sickness away from the midst of you, if we serve a holy
- 9:24God. God can literally do anything.
- 9:27And it believes you in the sickness, friends, or if you've
- 9:30got hunger in your belly, friends.
- 9:32It doesn't mean that God can't clothe you.
- 9:34It doesn't mean that God can't feed you, doesn't mean that God
- 9:37can't cure you. But he has a plan and we need to
- 9:40trust the process. 26 There shall nothing cast their young,
- 9:45nor be barren in your land. The number of your days I will
- 9:49fulfill. So he's saying that he will make
- 9:52sure that when someone is pregnant that they come to full
- 9:56term and that they are able to birth 27 I will send my fear
- 10:02before you, and I will destroy all the people to whom you shall
- 10:05come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you.
- 10:09So God can send out fear. He can send out this horror upon
- 10:15a land that makes people turn upon themselves, that makes
- 10:18people flee for nothing, for no reason.
- 10:20They're scared of their shadows. They turn on each other thinking
- 10:23each other's the enemy. He can literally do anything.
- 10:26He can send the destroying Angel and kill 185 1001 night.
- 10:32He can send the Hornets that we're about to see. 28 and I
- 10:37will send Hornets before you will drive out the hip bite the
- 10:41Canaanite and the Hittite from before you.
- 10:43So here we can see that God can use even the natural things of
- 10:47this earth to overcome our enemies, whether it be
- 10:51pestilence, whether it be the animals, whether it be the
- 10:54weather. God can literally do anything,
- 10:57and that's the God that we serve. 29 And I will not drive
- 11:01them out from before you in one year, lest the land become
- 11:05desolate and the beast of the field multiply against you.
- 11:09So he's saying that it's all in due time, that God knows the
- 11:13perfect time. And you can see that for us,
- 11:16because we're so impatient and we're so limited in our
- 11:19knowledge that we want it, and we want it now.
- 11:23Instant gratification. We want to see the whole thing
- 11:27immediately, and that's just not the way that God works.
- 11:32God knows the perfect timing, and He's going to tell him why
- 11:36he doesn't just completely turn all their enemies over all at
- 11:40once. 30 Little by little I will drive them out from before you
- 11:55until you be increased and inherit the land.
- 11:59So that is what God is after, little by little until we're
- 12:03ready to take it. And it's no different today.
- 12:10We want whatever it is that God has placed on our heart and
- 12:14promised us. We want it and we want it now.
- 12:17But God has to develop us to steward the mantle that He wants
- 12:22to give us. Friends, never forget it. 31 And
- 12:27I will set your bounds from the Red Sea even unto the sea of the
- 12:31Philistines, and from the desert unto the river, for I will
- 12:35deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you
- 12:38shall drive them out before you. They will not see the completion
- 12:46of this promise until the millennial reign of Jesus Christ
- 12:52on this earth, when he has a mile square temple sitting in
- 12:58Jerusalem and Mount Olives is split to open it up to be able
- 13:05to house the amount of people that are going to come through
- 13:08Jerusalem during that time. 32 And you shall make no covenant
- 13:14with them, nor with their gods. 33 They shall not dwell in your
- 13:19land, lest they make you sin against me.
- 13:22For if you serve they're gods, it will surely be a snare unto
- 13:26you, and we'll end there, friends.
- 13:27But you need to know, as time goes on and as the pages of the
- 13:30Bible get discovered, the more that we read, we're going to see
- 13:35that the Israelites did start making covenants and did start
- 13:41worshipping their gods. And it is, and it was a snare.
- 13:46You have to understand that the Jews are not perfect people.
- 13:50They're God's chosen people, but they're not perfect.
- 13:53And just like Judas, God can use it without excusing it.
- 13:58And God will deal with them, friends, but it does not change
- 14:02the fact that they are His chosen people.
- 14:05I hope that you've been blessed by this amazing chapter in God's
- 14:08Word. I know I sure have.
- 14:10I'm praying for every single one of you.
- 14:12I love you. We'll see you back here
- 14:14tomorrow. Let's pray.
- 14:16Lord God Almighty, who reigns on high, we love you, Father, You
- 14:20are amazing at everything that you do.
- 14:22We thank you God for Israel. We thank you God for the Jews.
- 14:28We thank you God and pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
- 14:31Lord, thank you that we can hold your scriptures in our hands.
- 14:39You're the same God. Help us to understand your words
- 14:47and apply them in Jesus name I pray.
- 14:50Amen.
