- 0:00Speaker 1: It is time for us to go to God in prayer.
- 0:03Speaker 1: I am Sherry Mackie, and I invite you to join
- 0:05Speaker 1: along with me in prayer. You know, I look at
- 0:09Speaker 1: the news stories and the reports about the hundreds of
- 0:12Speaker 1: lives lost in the flooding in Texas. In my heart
- 0:17Speaker 1: aches for all of the families impacted, the homes lost,
- 0:22Speaker 1: the lives that are devastated as a result, and I
- 0:25Speaker 1: want to pray about that today. Heavenly Father, in the
- 0:28Speaker 1: name of Jesus Christ, we come before you today with
- 0:30Speaker 1: heavy hearts, lifting up the families in Texas and across
- 0:34Speaker 1: our nation who have been devastated by the floods. Lord,
- 0:39Speaker 1: the waters have risen, but so has our cry for help.
- 0:43Speaker 1: So many have lost homes, belongings, and the sense of
- 0:46Speaker 1: safety they once knew. But even in the midst of destruction, God,
- 0:50Speaker 1: we turn to you, our refuge, our strong tower, our
- 0:54Speaker 1: very present help in the times of trouble. God, you
- 0:57Speaker 1: see the tears of the fathers and the mothers who
- 1:01Speaker 1: are trying to stay strong families and the loss of
- 1:04Speaker 1: their children. The silent prayers God of the fathers looking
- 1:09Speaker 1: for strength to lead throughout this storm, the confusion and
- 1:13Speaker 1: the fear and the hearts of the young and the elderly. God,
- 1:17Speaker 1: you see the ones who have lost everything. But Lord,
- 1:21Speaker 1: we thank you that even when all is washed away,
- 1:25Speaker 1: you remain steady. Your love remains, your power remains, Your
- 1:32Speaker 1: promises still stand. God, comfort the hurting and the grieving.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Right now, in the name of Jesus God, we pray
- 1:41Speaker 1: for supernatural peace to saturate every heart. Peace says surpasses understanding,
- 1:46Speaker 1: peace and steadies the shaking soul, and peace that reassures
- 1:50Speaker 1: them they are not forgotten. You are with them in
- 1:53Speaker 1: the rising waters. You are the same God who parted
- 1:56Speaker 1: the red sea, who calmed the storm, who walks on water,
- 1:59Speaker 1: and you are deal mighty, Just save. Lord. Let your
- 2:03Speaker 1: hand of provision move swiftly open doors for shelter, food,
- 2:07Speaker 1: clean water, and medical care. Bless the volunteers, the emergency responders,
- 2:12Speaker 1: and all those serving on the front lines. God, let
- 2:14Speaker 1: the body of Christ rise up in compassion and generosity.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Let communities rally together in love and unity, bearing one
- 2:23Speaker 1: another's burdens. Just as you commanded us to, Father, we
- 2:27Speaker 1: ask you to comfort those who are grieving, those who
- 2:29Speaker 1: have lost loved ones in this tragedy. Wrap them in
- 2:32Speaker 1: your loving arms and whisper, hoping to their weary spirits.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Be near to the broken hearted, save those who are
- 2:39Speaker 1: chrustian spirit. Just as your word says in Psalms thirty
- 2:42Speaker 1: four eighteen, God, we declare restoration in the name of Jesus,
- 2:47Speaker 1: what the enemy meant for evil. We ask you to
- 2:50Speaker 1: turn around for good. Rebuild what's been torn down. Not
- 2:54Speaker 1: just the houses and the cities, but God, the faith,
- 2:57Speaker 1: the families, the feature. Let beauty rise from the ashes,
- 3:01Speaker 1: and testimonies spring forth from the pain. God, You're able
- 3:04Speaker 1: to do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ask or imagine. God,
- 3:09Speaker 1: let this be a moment where your glory is revealed.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Even in disaster. God, even in grief and hurt and pain,
- 3:16Speaker 1: Let there be divine encounters, miraculous breakthroughs and testimonies, a
- 3:21Speaker 1: wave God of revival. God, let our nation know that
- 3:25Speaker 1: you still rain, even when the rivers rage. You are
- 3:29Speaker 1: still God.
