- 2:31[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_00]: In like 2017.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_00]: Honey.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_01]: Check this out.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_01]: I had you and Anne on the show.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, when we met, when we met, yes, 2014.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_01]: Third probably probably something like that.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it was 2012.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even remember.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_01]: I'll dig it up.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to look up on my Facebook.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: You had us on that show and Kevin Neil and was on before us.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we had some pretty baller deaths on that.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_01]: But as do you now with your show, but I just remember when I asked you back, it was, we were, remember how?
- 3:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Jesus Christ, I have to bring it up.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_01]: We brought it up on the show before, but for those of you who are new to me and Kimberly together,
- 3:25[SPEAKER_01]: we we were certain cocky we were fucking certain that Trump was going to lose yeah we were
- 3:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we were happy.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_01]: We need to plan the Farenot in my Pense's name.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we thought we were so slick.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_01]: And look at us now.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_01]: To press.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_01]: We can't put money in the gas tank.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_01]: We got, you know, it just look where we are.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_01]: This piece of shit.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_01]: balls asleep in every meeting he attends.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and they're and yet they're his party protect him.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_01]: And we are we are some people are suffering because of this man.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_01]: People are suffering.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_01]: They can't pay their bills.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_01]: They can't be their kids.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_01]: They can't put gas in their car.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_01]: They can't pay their fucking rent.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_01]: Energy costs are through the roof.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_01]: Their babies are hungry.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_01]: immigrants are getting shot down in the streets.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_01]: Let's not forget where we are.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_01]: We're 48 days.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_01]: I think from the election.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's the last service.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_01]: Is it 47?
- 4:50[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's 47.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_01]: I am going to do everything.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_01]: I possibly, you know, I live in California.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, oh,
- 4:59[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we know, because I like Latifa Simon's my, my member of Congress, I hope for the end and Adam's shift are my senators.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_01]: Gavin Newsom is my governor, Buffy Wix is my assembly member.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_01]: Barbara Lee is my mayor.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_01]: Like we're not missing a beat and everybody's showing up.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm telling you, I saw a post from some comedian I got to find his name but I'm like, one of my girlfriend said to me and he went on and on.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to look it up and give him a shout out before we close the show but I'm on a roll right now so we'll get his name in a minute.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_01]: He came out of the gate.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_01]: He's like pointing to the price of gas.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_01]: These will gas in Indiana.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_01]: It was like six bucks or
- 5:44[SPEAKER_01]: He goes, are all a you, I mean, I can't even go on the ramp he did and say some of the things he said like I know I said some crazy stuff already, but this guy said some stuff and I'm like that's what it's going to take it's people with these big platforms just coming out and saying you know balls out.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_01]: We have to say what it is, people in Indiana, are you still satisfied with the way your life is going?
- 6:13[SPEAKER_01]: Because are you satisfied with the tariff payback?
- 6:17[SPEAKER_01]: Not that this pile of shit said he was gonna give us all.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_01]: Now he's trying to pay people to vote so we can rig the election because it's over.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_01]: And the bitch keeps falling asleep with his swollen ankles
- 6:32[SPEAKER_01]: It's just a straight hand and Mitch McConnell gets wheeled in the Senate yesterday with a frozen smile on his face and almost voted no and voting with the Democrats and someone had to go, you know, like, what this is not a game.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_00]: This is you know why these and you know, fuck, okay, let me let me jump in because I feel like.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_00]: First of all, I mean, I've been saying this the whole time.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: Like the worst it gets, the better it gets, right?
- 7:02[SPEAKER_00]: Because the worst it gets, the more people realize it.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: And once more people realize it, more can be done about it.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_00]: And I look at Donald Trump and I feel, I mean, obviously, I don't feel frightened by him anymore like I used to.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_00]: Now I feel like, all right, we're just enduring damage.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_00]: And then how far does the damage go?
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: before he's out and before Republicans are out because I do have faith that Republicans will be out of power.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: Now, you know, and I do know that it's very, very, very least we're going to take the house.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's a, oh, we're taking this in it.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: Well, there's a path, and I'm hoping that we are smart enough to get that done, and then on top of it what I want to say is, you know, there's absolutely, I, you know, I'm going to bring in, and I always say this, I'm always
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm going to frame it my own way and kind of frame it also in their way.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_00]: One psychic said, and for whatever this is worth, and you don't have to be psychic to say something like this.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: But she said, okay, yes, we're going to have a big blue wave, but there's going, it's going to be rough because Republicans are going to fight.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, and it's going to be, they're going to not want to see people blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_00]: Now my friend, and so I asked my friend,
- 8:36[SPEAKER_00]: And I like to ask her political questions all the time.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: She's not always right, but she's always been right about Trump.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_00]: I will say that.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: She predicted each, you know, when he ran and what would happen.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_00]: She was right ahead of time.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_00]: So I asked her about this and I said, OK, there was this woman on YouTube and this is what she said.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_00]: What do you think?
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: And she said, yes, I think that there will, the Democrats will win, although it was interesting.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't know if she's right about this, but she wasn't seeing
- 9:05[SPEAKER_00]: as the other one saw, but she did see the Democrats winning, and then she, but she didn't specify house or send it or anything like that.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_00]: But what she said is she didn't think it would be as bad as what the other one was saying, meaning in the lame duck session.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_00]: So, but what I, you know, what what I hope for and obviously won't know to we know I'm not taking anything a psychic says as gospel, but what I am going to take is from that one psychic who said it's going
- 9:34[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody needs to kind of just expect that, right, from the Republicans, expect that they're going to fuck around, expect that they're going to do things that are going to be infuriating and rather than allow them to, you know, beat you down into fear, beat you down into their, they always win, they always get their way instead of taking on that attitude.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_00]: expected they will do dirty tricks and cheat whatever they can because they are fascists and don't let them win.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_00]: It starts in the mind.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_00]: If you give up in your mind then all of your actions come from that place.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: But if you're in your mind say hell no,
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: then your actions come from that place.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: So don't even worry about what I say about with the psychic state, it could be wrong who gives a shit.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_00]: But if that one psychic is correct, and I mean, who expects Republicans to lose gracefully?
- 10:34[SPEAKER_00]: No one.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 10:37[SPEAKER_00]: rather than allow them to fluster you and put you into a doom feeling.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: Because that's what they wanna do, too.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_00]: Whether they even realize it or not, they want to just beat you down till you surrender.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_00]: And you leave your flag and go, okay, Republicans always win, do, don't give them that win.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: That is what I teach Democrats doing it all the fucking time and it's right have to stop that shit and you know and because if we have the intention of not letting them get away with it we don't have all the power but there are more of us we could get it figured out so just don't assume the worst right that they're going to behave badly but don't expect the outcome to be fascism just stop.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's not anyway, there's to stop the hammering, but it's just for those of you who know that's Lawrence or Donald.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_01]: I don't love it.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_00]: That's his version of what people do alive.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_00]: I love Lawrence O'Donnell's fucking eyeer.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_00]: I don't ever want to experience it, but when he's angry, you can see like flame shooting out of his eyes.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's no.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_00]: He's a scornal.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, when it shows.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_01]: He is.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_01]: That I love him even more now.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_01]: Wednesday's birthday.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's sometime in October, but I know he's a Scorpio and the thing that I don't know Scorpio.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_00]: Don't mess with the fucking Scorpios.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm one man.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_01]: November 14th get out of the way.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_00]: Please.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you're on, it looks, you're, oh, actually no.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's like the 22nd, which is would be the Sagittarius.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, you're Scorpio.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_00]: But yes, Scorpios.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_00]: Don't fuck with them.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_00]: Do not look Lawrence.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_00]: No, he's born November 7th.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_00]: We're a week apart.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_00]: I love Lawrence.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_00]: I love Lawrence so much.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_00]: I always loved Lawrence.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_00]: I have a news crush on him.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: I will always have a news crush on him.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_00]: I think he is so fucking awesome.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_01]: Use the all ways had a thing to lower.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, always.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_00]: I remember.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_01]: I remember.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_00]: I remember.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_00]: See, we go back dude.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_01]: I know all of it.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_01]: I know all of it.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god, I want to we do and and we are and I think people are really beginning to realize when you hear like the sheriff from I don't know in Texas with his cowboy hat on yes, who's been a public servant his entire life He goes Ken Paxton is a freaking criminal
- 13:14[SPEAKER_01]: I sat down with James Tallarico and I've never met a politician that was more sincere.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he better win Texas.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_00]: Can you imagine I wanted to win Texas so fucking badly and I think he's got a shot but it's Texas and they cheat so I don't know how this is going to go.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but I'll tell you what people become and out of the woodwork.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_01]: You hear, I think, I think it's going to be Talleriko.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_01]: I think Mary Toltaula is going to win in Alaska.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_01]: Roy Cooper's totally winning in North Carolina.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_01]: We don't know about Maine because Maine's going to Maine.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_01]: Maine's going to Maine.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_01]: And who's the dude?
- 13:55[SPEAKER_01]: Is it Josh Turek and Iowa?
- 13:58[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, right.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_01]: I'm so proud to be a woman who gets involved with her, you know, and then, you know, I'm like, cradling my eight-year-old.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_01]: No, I know.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_01]: To sleep.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_01]: that night.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_01]: What are we going to do?
- 14:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like fucking who knows?
- 14:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_01]: And nobody knew.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_01]: When my little boy 10 years old in 2015 said mom, if Trump wins, are we getting deported?
- 14:49[SPEAKER_01]: And I said, I go no babe because we're because we were born here.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_01]: well guess what yeah you're you're allowed mouth mother better not step out of line right me and my brown brother walking down the street i got to watch out people were pulled out of their fucking places of business in the Oakland last week and you know yes six is in
- 15:13[SPEAKER_01]: Disappeared, okay?
- 15:16[SPEAKER_00]: Disappeared.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_00]: It's just, it's so fucking awful.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, I mean, I absolutely don't want to lighten up the awfulness.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_00]: But I do think that the awfulness is exactly what's going to get us out of it.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_00]: Because there's no egregious.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's, that's what, the, the psychic on YouTube was saying that, you know, it's going to be rough and she said, but what they're going to do is they're going to go too far.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_00]: And I think they've already gone too far.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's still too many people in this country who don't understand what's happening, but I think the majority of Americans do and even the ones who don't fully understand are looking at the price of gas and groceries and house interests, interest rates and all of that and like wait a minute and then farmers and somebody's been affected by this.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_00]: They're very few people who have not been affected by this.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think my MAGA relative has not.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_00]: I think at this point, they might start feeling it.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_00]: They're retired and it's a couple and, you know, that I think what the majority or they're only social life, I should say, is taking a Sunday ride, and then that's it.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_00]: Other than that, any car rides are local, and
- 16:28[SPEAKER_00]: in frequent.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_00]: So even the price of gas going up isn't really going to affect them in the car.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_00]: But it will affect groceries and all the other costs.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, I mean, I, but they have money.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_00]: So they're going, they may feel it, but they're not going to feel it, like a family with kids who who's, you know, working through jobs and can't even afford lunch.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_00]: So there are very few people in this country like my relative who won't necessarily feel anything because she's looking her later 70s and everything's already finished.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I mean, if they took away social security, if they took away Medicare, whatever, yeah, she would start squawking and be upset, but until something like that happens and I hope it fucking doesn't have to be that.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_00]: But I've always said that human beings are as a collective are fucking selfish and stupid.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_00]: And the way that they are motivated is to be uncomfortable.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_00]: And I think a lot of people in this country right now are uncomfortable.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's got to...
- 17:30[SPEAKER_00]: Like look at the negative like we see the negative but the negative can lead to the positive and so that's how I try to look at it rather than everything is shit and we're all toast and it's over because when you like I said when you take that attitude that's what you're acting from and then what's the point.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_00]: What's the point?
- 17:48[SPEAKER_01]: So, and, you know, and also, you know, if you, so yes, a couple things that you said, one, it makes me sick that certain people only give a shit about Yes, bad things when it, and when it affects them, which is gross and but it's through it's reality, right?
- 18:06[SPEAKER_01]: The other thing is we can't bow out.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_01]: We can't, you know, oh, this is so bad.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_01]: What can we do?
- 18:15[SPEAKER_01]: My vote doesn't matter anything.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_01]: You know, they're just going to get away with it no matter what, you know, okay, great.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_01]: I have friends who escaped.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_01]: Iran during the fucking revolution, you know, I'm not, if we're that wimpy, right, then, then, okay, then, then, then, you, then you, then you deserve what you, what, what happens, exactly because I'm saying, you know, we don't, we don't, but I'm saying, you know, we can't, you can't force people to do things, but it's got, it's gotten bad enough.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_01]: I think where, first of all, I don't know that Americans are, this might be controversial.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_01]: We haven't experienced war torn Bosnia.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_01]: We haven't, we don't know what it's like living underneath the rule of a drug cartel in Mexico.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_01]: We don't, you know, I'm just telling you.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_01]: We're starting to see some crazy shit and people are dying and people are getting shot by masked, you know, state military in the streets for standing up and speaking their minds.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_01]: And in defense of people who are being unjustly imprisoned, you know, this is this is pretty
- 19:40[SPEAKER_01]: Fucked up and that doesn't that hasn't affected me personally, but it affects my soul.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yes, and so what are you doing in in the Anna for example, the guys name by the way
- 19:54[SPEAKER_00]: Hold, please.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_01]: Is Blinton Freeman Cash?
- 19:58[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_01]: And E. E. E. E. Yeah, Clinton Freeman Cash.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_01]: Anywhere's a red maga hat that says Trump to the pet a file.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so all ready, I'm in love.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_01]: But what I'm saying is, you know,
- 20:13[SPEAKER_01]: People need to start, and unfortunately, when you live your life in a bubble, you know, shrouded in racism and me, me, me, me, me, or this doesn't affect me, but you know what?
- 20:27[SPEAKER_01]: Guess what?
- 20:28[SPEAKER_01]: It does affect you because now you don't have health care.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_01]: Now you don't have snap benefits.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_01]: Now your, you know, who knows what it is?
- 20:36[SPEAKER_01]: Your social security is in jeopardy.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_01]: Your aging parents can't afford their health care.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_01]: they don't have anywhere to go.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_01]: There's no, there's no system in place.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_01]: Like the fact that we don't take care of our elders and that old people don't just have a retirement community or assisted living or or sniffs that actually help them rehabilitate and that that's just free.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_01]: Like we're so fucked up, the healthcare situation in this country is when people have to decide, well, I can't go to the Planned Parenthood clinic anymore in Fresno because they don't offer family medicine.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know where I'm going to go get my kids, their vaccines, so they can start public school.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know where my mother's going to go to get her blood pressure taken and her diabetes medicine or whatever it happens to be right because that's gone now, so safety net health care is really tough to come by and and instead you're you're being forced with well, do I want to go in and get that life saving abortion, but they're going to put me on a payment plan now.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I'm saying, like, excuse me, what what so so you got to either, you know, you got to have another kid forced birth, right?
- 22:07[SPEAKER_01]: And you got to stay poor by design or you got to go on a payment plan and when it comes time to say, Oh, I got to put gas in the car because I got to get myself to my third job.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_01]: So I can keep the fucking heat on for my kids or I got to make that payment to the clinic.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_01]: you're gonna, you're gonna put the gas in the car and then you're credits ruined.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_01]: It's, yeah, this is, you know, it's deep, it's deep.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_01]: And I've seen it firsthand and I'm sick of living in that society.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_01]: So every move, which is why I now, I'm in business for myself and I'm working with,
- 22:51[SPEAKER_01]: with organizations and nonprofits and mission driven ors that are like, how do we make people's lives better with every move we make?
- 22:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever that looks like, whether it's building safe state of the art, athletic fields for kids in East Oakland to play on.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_01]: So their parents know they're in a safe place so they can work that swing ship job and bring home the bacon and keep the kids closed and fed.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_01]: you know what I mean this so that this is this is my mission in life and my husband's like I'm almost I'm four and a half years older than my husband and he was like you're going to work till when and I'm like bitch I got to work till 70 minimum because we're that far away from even making
- 23:40[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_01]: And I know Andrew loves the fire.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_01]: And I know Andrew is drinking the kule.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm sorry.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_01]: It's real talk time.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_00]: It is.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_00]: But you know what?
- 23:58[SPEAKER_00]: Everything you said is true.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_00]: And unfortunately,
- 24:01[SPEAKER_00]: And then hopefully it's what it takes to get people off their ass, because there's that whole thing of iron, paying attention and politics.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_00]: Well, now they're finding out politics pays attention to them.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, it's like now they're also finding out that fascists don't want them to vote and are making it much more difficult for them to vote.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_00]: And you know what, there's all these young people in the world who are coming at life from such a different perspective than you are I had to and I mean I'm not trying to gloss over our generation struggles, but compared to what we went through and what Jen's years are going through and even millennials have dealt with.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_00]: But specifically, Gen Zers and what they've experienced and who they've seen as president, you know, because basically when they're becoming adults, they're looking at this guy, and they're like, oh my god, you know, they don't know from a Jimmy Carter.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_00]: They don't Ray, you know, and because the internet is what it is, like for instance,
- 25:03[SPEAKER_00]: This is an example I was, you know, I love to talk to all my grocery store clerks and there's a lot of young people and I've asked them, have you ever heard of Charlie Sheen?
- 25:13[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_00]: Have you ever heard of Emilio Esteve?
- 25:17[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_00]: Have you, and then I named somebody who is maybe my age?
- 25:21[SPEAKER_00]: No, they haven't heard.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_00]: So forget older than me.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, so the way that the internet has shaped us is that, like, for instance, with us,
- 25:33[SPEAKER_00]: I guess Jenx might maybe a little bit of the millennials, but we only had television, and so especially Jenxers, we didn't have cable, we just had live fucking TV channels.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_00]: And so if we wanted to watch something sometimes we'd watch, I love Lucy, or we would watch the little rascals, or we would watch old movies.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_00]: So I, you know, I knew who'd
- 25:56[SPEAKER_00]: Freda Stair and Ginger Rogers were when I was very young and now that there's an internet where you can pick and choose your entertainment instead of being forced to watch one, you know, one box with a couple of choices, that's why they don't know so people.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_00]: born at a certain time or so completely they don't understand history.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_00]: They just don't understand if they didn't they don't experience life the way we did because so much more fragmented online.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_00]: And so but what they are experiencing is discomfort and you know what I just I just
- 26:42[SPEAKER_00]: I really, really, and I know what's early, blah, blah, blah.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_00]: I don't give a shit.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see Javanosa Flynn.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_00]: I want him to be the president.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, if somebody else comes along fine, I'll be excited about that.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_00]: But right now, everybody who I know is running, I want him.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_00]: I want him.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_01]: Well, exactly.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, who said it?
- 27:02[SPEAKER_01]: Charles Blow was on one of the shows.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_01]: I don't watch, I don't really watch news on TV anymore, but I saw it on the screen.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_01]: Charles Blow is so awesome, though.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_01]: I know he doesn't go listen if the democratic party doesn't get their shit together and recruit John off to run the president we're missing we're missing an opportunity he's he's running oh Mike and you know what it's it's for stupid obvious reasons like there's I there's this woman and I don't know she is but.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_00]: She is in love with him and she I mean she was in love with him back when he you know got in in 2020 and she's like calling him Senator Bay and it just Talking about right.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know Another woman and she's in love with John off off.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_00]: I mean love and so she just always and so it's like I want him to be president Bay because you know what he is so handsome He's really good at speaking truth to power
- 27:56[SPEAKER_00]: He's, he has not stepped in it at this point, you know, he hasn't done anything to make one's, you know, the fucking unhinged left because there is an unhinged left.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry, there is pissed off.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_00]: He's able to kind of walk that line, you know, and yes, people refer to him as a centrist.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he's per se a centrist as much as he's pragmatic about understanding how things can work.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_00]: Just because I'm a progressive doesn't mean I'm going to get locked into my little, you know, purity joy-wish and all that you know, I've opened my ear and opened my into aggressive.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_01]: And if I think prove if if if if if an ideal or or something, you know, if you're proven wrong on on a on a on a viewpoint, you're not changing your mind and I also realize that like with Medicare for all.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_00]: I understand that, well, first of all, I think it would be a stupid and horrible mistake to just obliterate insurance agencies and then start all from something new.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, what we would have to do is get an option for the ACA, and then the option is the perfect, the fucking perfect, the public option, I should say, the perfect solution because then,
- 29:12[SPEAKER_00]: people don't all rush over.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, there would be a huge rush, but it wouldn't be everybody, because there's a lot of people that are like, well, I like my insurance, and I'm going to keep my insurance.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_00]: So they can keep maybe they get their insurance from work, and they're really happy with it, and they want to keep it fine.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_00]: But
- 29:28[SPEAKER_00]: Initially what would happen was you'd have all these people running over to the Medicare for all and then word gets out Hey, it's really great and I would anticipate that it would definitely be a bit of a rocky start just like VACA the website So there's you know, and then of course everyone's going to criticize it and Republicans are going to see it doesn't work
- 29:47[SPEAKER_00]: But there's always going to be a bit of a rocky start, but then it would just start kind of becoming normal and then eventually everyone would come over and so I realize that as a progressive even though I have, you know,
- 30:01[SPEAKER_00]: lofty ideals and goals and all that.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't mean it all has to be implemented on day one.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_00]: We just start to process and understand, hey, this is possible.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_00]: So let's look for a way to do it.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_00]: Rather than the one of the things that I completely disagreed with Hillary on was saying that it was pie in the sky and she knew it wasn't pie in the sky, because she tried to get it done back in the day in the 90s.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_00]: And of course, everybody ridiculed her because we were stupid patriarchy and everything, whatever.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_00]: And so she understood that when Bernie was saying it, she kind of, she didn't want to agree with Bernie.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_00]: I think what she should have done is Trumped Bernie and said, you know, hey, this is all we need to do.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_00]: Bernie's right.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_00]: Let's just put in a public option.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_00]: And then she would have Trumped him.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_00]: because he was basically calling to shut it all down.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_00]: And of course he wouldn't have been able to do that.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_00]: But still, I think that's what she would have been able to win over some of those.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, some progressives, I don't like to call them progressives.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_00]: They're far left as who I don't identify with.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_00]: Because I think that they can be extremely patriarchal.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_00]: radical misogynistic I think they can also be very sexist and you know, I mean, I know that our party, I mean, I'm not referring to liberals or anything.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_00]: I'm talking the far left the the horseshoe theory thing and you know, there's ugly misogyny coming from them and no matter what Hillary would do, they would hate her.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_00]: So, but I do think that some of the progressives back in 2016, if she would have instead of calling it pie in the sky and making everyone believe that it was impossible, I think she should have just pulled the rug out from Bernie.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going, yeah, sure.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_00]: Let's just do that in the public office.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_00]: Let's do it.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_00]: We should do it.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_01]: People don't know what you did.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_01]: No, I will tell you, I'm going to run.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_01]: run for it if we if we get it because I'll tell you my family pays and this is through my husband's work $3300 a month.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and that's, and that's with that.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_00]: And then I mean, oh, yeah, go ahead.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's like, hey, it's all, it's fucked.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_00]: People, this is, you know, yeah, I was so scared because I've been having backspasms.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_00]: And so I need to go find, you know, I had to find a chiropractor.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_00]: So I found a chiropractor.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_00]: and they take my insurance, which surprised me.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_00]: I wasn't even expecting that, but it was like good because they can be expensive, and I'm going to have to go regularly.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_00]: So anyway, I show up in the middle of the day, that's my work day, and I'm not feeling great, and I fill out the paper work, and then they're like, oh, you need a referral.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like no one told me that and and and and the doctor was standing right there and it was this guy and I know I was pissed because I was not feeling great and I was irritated because fucking insurance companies and it's like I wasn't mean and I didn't stomp out but I could tell I was upset because I was just like I know and I said I took time off I don't feel good and now I'm being told I can't do this.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_00]: And so now I just have to go fix that.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_00]: But you know, it's like right now, it's just frustrating to me because obviously I have to work.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, you know, for those of you who don't know, Bob and I are moving, we're going to be we bought a house and so we're going to be moving soon.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_00]: And that's a lot, you know, it's stressful.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's stressful to pack and organize them all that shit.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like the last thing I need to do is
- 33:29[SPEAKER_00]: be in such severe pain.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_00]: So anyway, that's just a side story, but it was like, it's so frustrating, this system needs to change.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_00]: But I will say that I do think, like, for instance, one thing Donald Trump is doing right now is proving to the world that Al Gore was right.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_00]: Look at the fucking price of oil, and it's going to get worse in two months.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to get worse before the election.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_00]: It helps the Democrats, but hurt for certain people.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, I mean, and I almost want gas to go up, but I don't.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want people like my mom to suffer from this.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, it's not like a Bob and I won't suffer, but at least we have two incomes.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_00]: And so there are people who have two incomes and it's like it's going to be harder on us but it's not going to be debilitating for my mom it could be debilitating right it's just it's extremely upsetting and all of it but I will maintain that the worst they get the better chance that we have to re establish the country and change what needs to be changed.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_00]: All I do know is Democrats cannot fucking go back to this hands across the aisle bullshit.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_00]: We have to establish this very strong line that they have had fashion, you know, that they've been behaving like fascists.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_00]: I was, you know, there was, there's one other lady that I like to listen to.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_00]: She's in Arizona and she does these little patio chats and it's a psychic thing and people ask her questions.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_00]: I will say she did say this whole time
- 35:03[SPEAKER_00]: that Trump was never going to get his way with mail invoiting that the Supreme Court would not rule in his favor and she did say this months ago and she has gotten things right and she said what was she saying with the midterms basically she I think it was her who was saying you know it's like it's not going to be just like my friend said it's not going to be quite as bad it's not going to go into a depression we will have a recession but basically that's going to
- 35:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be inspiring to people based to do the right thing and vote for Democrats.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know when we're going into our session and I know there was something else I was going to say and I forgot about it.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_00]: But I think we're going to do this.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_00]: I think we're going to be okay.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, and she also, okay, this is exciting.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_00]: Because I know some of you do not believe in psychics and that's fine.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not asking you to, but she did say several years ago.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_00]: I think they spotlighted him, keep an eye on this guy.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_00]: And she thinks he's going to be the part- like, I think she thinks he's going to win the presidency in 2020 yet.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not sure.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_00]: I can't remember if she said that specifically, but she's basically alluding to me.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, please, please, I honestly, I think he would be the best choice because, and I don't know if he's going to choose a woman to be his running mate, I think he probably would.
- 36:26[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but I think that put it this way.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_01]: He fucking better.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think he probably would.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_00]: And, um, but I think it's important to read the country and understand what the country is ready for at this point.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, I am not the kind of person who lives on what should be.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_00]: I'm lives on, I'm the kind of person who says, let's do what we can.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_00]: Let's do what's possible now.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think if we put a woman in the front,
- 36:54[SPEAKER_00]: It's not that I don't think a woman can win.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_00]: I know a woman can win, Hillary won, and I honestly believe that comma one, but they cheat it.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think Phil, so do I.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_00]: So do I.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_01]: God, I love that we both say that, because yeah, that's exactly what happened.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, so I'm not the person who says America isn't ready for a woman, but it's the idea that if it's close, they can cheat.
- 37:20[SPEAKER_00]: And it wasn't even that close in fucking 2016 except for the electoral college got in the way and that's my point is that it's not it's not even the American people it's just that there are some American people that will never let that happen and they are in the way.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_00]: But I think there are enough American people that don't give a shit that it's a woman and we'll vote for her.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_00]: But we've got a system that won't support it.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_00]: And when you have fascist cheating in the way they cheat, it makes it almost impossible.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_00]: So what I would prefer is let's just get in with what we know a strong can, and then throw into the, throw this into the mix.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_00]: Like, oh my god, look at how they behaved.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_00]: who was an exceptional, an exceptional mind, an exceptional president, they lost their fucking shit.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_00]: And we got this mess we're in.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_00]: If we had a black woman with an exceptional mind, I don't know what they would do.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_00]: They would probably just nuke ourselves.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that enough people in this country can handle that.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_00]: So we need to kind of smooth in.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_00]: to the new America that we're gonna be creating because people need some time.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, I understand what everybody wants right this minute, but let's just, let's just be fucking smart about it.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_00]: And understand that I hate to say this, but a good looking white man who does a good job is going to help women in the world.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_00]: future.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_00]: That's what's going to happen.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_00]: And as much as I want to see a woman, President, I think we still have that shot.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_00]: I think we can still see that in our lifetimes.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, because I don't know.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think we can.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I'm going to live a long time.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_01]: So yes.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_00]: I think I think we can.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_00]: And I think it's absolutely possible.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_00]: But I think what needs to happen is we need to change the system.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_00]: And we also need to, we are a country now that has been
- 39:23[SPEAKER_00]: in misogyny from from a point of view basically of a group of pedophiles and a group of rapists.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_00]: And so we've had this hanging over our head now since 2015 and it's going to take a little time to wash that grime off of us.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_00]: and get us into a place where when that woman comes along, that's going to be the kick-ass woman that we're ready for her.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_00]: So I do think America is ready, but at the same time, I feel like let me put it to this way.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_00]: I think we're ready to vote one in, but I don't know if we're ready at this point psychologically, to deal with a smart woman, especially if she's a woman of color, because look what happened when we had Barack Obama.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_01]: Look at look at the funny it just oh my god.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_01]: I'm so sick of though here's I look I know you're right We've proven time and again We're not going to elect a woman we've had and there yes, they're cheating in all of that stuff, but
- 40:24[SPEAKER_01]: You know, these were clearly the most qualified candidates, Barack Obama broke people's brains because, oh my god, black guy, good luck, black guy, and effective black guy with a fucking badass wife.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_01]: They couldn't, they couldn't take it, right?
- 40:45[SPEAKER_01]: Who cast eyes.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_01]: Donald Trump had made fun of him at the, you know, correspondence dinner.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_01]: You know, this is, this is, this is our country, right?
- 40:56[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_01]: So then Kamala comes in with 90 days to run a campaign and gets blamed for, you know, not win.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
- 41:06[SPEAKER_01]: So we,
- 41:08[SPEAKER_01]: We, and obviously not you and me and not most of the people in our lives, but, you know, America isn't ready.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_01]: It makes me sick.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_01]: America, you know, I, I, one of my best friends is a gay woman who is just like, you know, I am so sick and tired of saying, just wait one more time.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_01]: One more.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_01]: Just let us get through one more cycle and then it'll be your turn.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_00]: And that's right.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_00]: But we need to take the temperature.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_00]: We can't force something that isn't going to work for.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_00]: Here we are.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's like saying teenagers shouldn't have sex.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_00]: It will bill.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_00]: So, in fact, we can't live in the should be right now.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, ultimately, we want to work towards what should be.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_00]: But I think, you know, I mean, there's another way to look at this, too, because, you know, I've said this before, I just looked at your name and I said Stephanie and I meant this, I don't know Trump.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_00]: But Donald Trump has ripped off or exposed or whatever.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_00]: Everyone like, there were all these things that we wanted to do before he came in off into office.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_00]: We, you know, talking about citizens united.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_00]: Citizens United would still be the big problem and we'd still have, I mean, it still is now, but what I'm saying is, it wouldn't be as glaring.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_00]: There's more of a shot to add people to the Supreme Court, there's more of a shot to overturn things like or find ways around citizens united.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_00]: There's going to have to be, and a good president with a good Senate in Congress will do this, to start changing the system and changing how we do things.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_00]: If we would have stayed the way we were, we would have continued on with, you know, I'm sure we would still be screaming and going with our petitions about certain things like citizens united that it just never was going to happen.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_00]: In order for us, you know, human beings are like this, you be smoke and we smoke and we smoke and then they go, hey, you could get cancer and we're like, I don't care.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to smoke some more and then you get cancer and like, oh, I'm going to quit smoking.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_00]: So we're basically at that point, right?
- 43:12[SPEAKER_00]: Where at that point where we got the cancer, which is Donald Trump, and we can get that removed.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we got to have some chemo and some radiation.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, and it's uncomfortable, and it's painful.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_00]: But that's the American, that is human psychology.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_00]: And it is the American psychology.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_00]: I know not all countries are like us.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_00]: Some countries are a little bit more aggressive than we are, but we're a big fucking country, and we've got a news media,
- 43:37[SPEAKER_00]: that we can't trust because they are owned by all oligarchs and oligarchs have their own agenda.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, while they were calling him, you know, going after Joe Biden forever, they leave Trump alone.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_00]: They just leave him alone.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, yeah, they'll talk about that he slept, but they don't
- 43:57[SPEAKER_00]: back brace and diapers and because he is wearing an exoskeleton back brace, that's what the square thing isn't his butt.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_00]: But I've determined that you can tell that there was a picture of it online and I posted it and there was a picture of him the other day where it was
- 44:15[SPEAKER_00]: like from from his backside and it looked like the square thing and I'm like what the fuck is that?
- 44:19[SPEAKER_00]: And then epistemic crisis doctor told us what it was.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_00]: It was it's this brace to keep him from falling.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_00]: And so but what you know he's exposing the fact that Al Gore was right not exposing it, but I mean he's I should say he is proving now look at gas prices.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_00]: Hillary Clinton, try to warn us, did we listen?
- 44:48[SPEAKER_00]: No, but now things are so ugly and uncomfortable, I think we're gonna maybe start listening.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_00]: I'm coped, so.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_00]: Me too, me too.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I think we should start talking about fun things.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_01]: You want to hear something great?
- 45:04[SPEAKER_00]: Huh.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_00]: Um, what's great.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_01]: Well, my husband and I took our our youngest child or daughter to college.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_01]: Um,
- 45:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, two weeks ago.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_01]: And she's crushing it really.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_01]: She loves it.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_01]: She loves where she is.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_01]: She loves the people.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_01]: She loves the the campus.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_01]: She loves her classes.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I she's got a she has a very sweet boyfriend.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_01]: And he's at college in Washington state.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_01]: They're precious darling beauties and how old is your life?
- 45:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_01]: I know it's really.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_00]: So is she living with you or at school?
- 46:05[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, she's in New York.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I didn't know that.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_00]: She's in New York.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_00]: So now you don't have any kids living with you.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_00]: no, we're empty nesters.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_01]: And I was eating well last night was weird because so, you know, I work with my brother and he was down.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_01]: He lives in Portland and so he comes down about every six weeks and stays for five days and we just bust a move, you know, do in person stuff and it's just nice and it's my brother and I love him.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_01]: And so we got COVID and we busted our asses.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_01]: Both of us have just been working nonstop.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_01]: And then we got COVID.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_01]: So we had this like we were forced to relax.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_01]: And then we gave my brother COVID.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_01]: So the three of us were just like couch dinnering and watching slow horses from day one and you know, just live in our lives.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_01]: But now we're,
- 47:04[SPEAKER_01]: home alone, and my house is really clean.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_01]: Wait, let me ask you something.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_00]: Do you love slow horses?
- 47:16[SPEAKER_00]: Because Bob and I have never we watched one episode and didn't get into it.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_00]: And my father won't stop asking us.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_00]: Are you watching slow horses?
- 47:24[SPEAKER_01]: We love slow horses.
- 47:27[SPEAKER_01]: We should try it again.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_00]: We're back.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_00]: We're back to the pit again because you know there's a new pit coming out in January.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_00]: So we started watching the pit again and then you know we did we're such dorks.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_00]: You know we watched glow.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_00]: which were obsessed with.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think we're more obsessed with the globe than anybody in the country like together Bob and I have this like obsession with that show.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_00]: But we finished it and we were so depressed.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, well, you know, we could just start watching it again.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_00]: And Bob's like, okay.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_00]: Normally, Bob can watch something over and over again more than me, but in this, it was like, and I like to take some time before I like to go back to something, but in this case, I was like, fuck it.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_00]: Let's just start again.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_00]: And we started again and we're enjoying it.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_00]: Just as much.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even know, what the story about is that the wrestlers, yes, it was the all the female wrestlers and it's it's it's it's poked fun at the 80s politically incorrectness.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_00]: And plus, you know, the show, it's, oh, you didn't, you haven't seen it.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_00]: I thought you saw it.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you got to see it.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's so fucking good.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_00]: It's, okay, it's Markman.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_00]: I told you it's Markman and Betty Gillin.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_00]: And then I can't remember Alice in something or other, she plays Ruth.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_00]: She's one of the stars.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_00]: She's fan, fucking, fantastic.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_00]: But basically,
- 48:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, out her.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_00]: She's so great.
- 48:57[SPEAKER_00]: I love her.
- 48:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, and she's so spectacular in this.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_00]: And so Mark Merrim basically plays the guy that puts the show together.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_00]: And this guy's name, it's the producer.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_00]: His name on the show is Bash Sebastian Howard.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_00]: I fucking love this guy.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what his real name is.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_00]: I am obsessed with him.
- 49:13[SPEAKER_00]: I am obsessed with him.
- 49:15[SPEAKER_00]: He's so fucking awesome.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, I don't know,
- 49:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, look at all the white men.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_00]: Even if I love the show, like, look at all the white men.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_00]: It's all white men.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_00]: And when they do historical shows, of course, it's going to be all men because of patriarchy.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_00]: And in the past, men had all the good parts, right?
- 49:38[SPEAKER_00]: So in this show, though, it's primarily women.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_00]: And it's very diverse.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_00]: You have black women and white women and Asian women and Latina women.
- 49:47[SPEAKER_00]: And so it's just this amazing diverse cast,
- 49:51[SPEAKER_00]: And it's predominantly women and it's very funny and it's very thoughtful and then it does give, I mean, I, I watched a documentary on the actual show glow and you know, there's some differences, but it's
- 50:06[SPEAKER_00]: basically the same idea, but they, you know, like, I'll give you an example.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_00]: There is a black woman on that show and they were trying to figure out tropes, you know, like, um, what could your character be?
- 50:18[SPEAKER_00]: And we have to make it basic.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_00]: And so they went with like racist stereotypes because it was first of all, it was the Abies.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, you have this woman who's playing welfare queen and then you have a woman from the Middle East
- 50:36[SPEAKER_00]: So it's politically incorrect on purpose and it's kind of this show is Exposing it more than it's it's not celebrating it.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean, but it's it's funny It's it's a funny presentation, but what it does do with the political it shows you eventually
- 50:59[SPEAKER_00]: that what the toll is, the toll for taking on, I'm going to be a black woman playing this woman called welfare queen and the toll that it takes.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_00]: And what it was like for, because there was another woman, she's Asian and her name was Fortune Cookie.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_00]: And she talks about what meant to her.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_00]: that comes later.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm giving a little spoils.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_00]: But I mean, it, it, it's so well done.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_00]: It's not done in bad taste.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_00]: It's very smart.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's very funny.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_00]: And I fucking love Mark Merin.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_00]: And he plays such a dick but lovable dick.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_00]: And it's really good.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I think it's just a great, great commentary on the 80s.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, because we were incredibly, incredibly politically incorrect that.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_00]: So we, you know, it shows it, it just shows it and it does so with humor, it's, but you can, but you're not looking at it and and saying, yeah, that welfare queen, you know, you're going, oh my god, you know, like, wow, we were terrible in the 80s.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_00]: Back yeah, we were it really it's it's it's just it's such a good show and so you know, I think right now we're probably midway through the second season and the worst part of that show is it ended right before COVID and right before the writer strike and left you with this big fucking cliffhanger and then it ended so it's over and how many seasons.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_00]: three, and I think there are 10, 10 shows per season, I think it's 10, 10 or 15.
- 52:31[SPEAKER_00]: But I can't tell you how much we love it.
- 52:33[SPEAKER_00]: It is so it's so smart.
- 52:34[SPEAKER_00]: It's so funny.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_00]: It's so great.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_00]: I love I love Betty Gilton.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_00]: She's awesome.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_01]: I love Betty Gilton fan.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I love her.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_00]: And yes, she plays Liberty Bell.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, she's like the American y'all, and she fights, I won't tell you anymore, but it's really fun.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's a really fun show and so anyway, I know you're going to have to go and I don't want to keep you because I can talk about these stupid TV shows all day long.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_00]: But, um, I think we covered a bit, you know, I think I think we did.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I mean, I went on rage, uh, my rage cycle, a jag, right out of the gate.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_00]: There you go.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_00]: So we're covered.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_00]: Congratulations to you on, you know, being empty nusters and parents that got their kids off to college and we're going to win this so I want to just remind everybody Fuck and stay strong and if you're feeling if you're feeling overwhelmed because I get it we all feel overwhelmed if you're feeling overwhelmed just allow it But don't allow it to decide what's possible
- 53:45[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, you know, I understand how it's affected, but we can do this.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's just difficult.
- 53:53[SPEAKER_00]: Our country has been through shit before.
- 53:56[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe we haven't not in the way that we're experiencing it now, but we've been through slavery.
- 54:02[SPEAKER_00]: We've been through shit and we've overcome.
- 54:05[SPEAKER_00]: So keep that in mind when you're feeling overwhelmed.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_00]: Let yourself have it, but don't act from it.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_00]: All right, that's my little piece.
- 54:12[SPEAKER_01]: And I like that, and I like that.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_00]: That's all I'm trying to do.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, I've been figuring out who we all are for the past seven years.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_00]: And this is the best I got.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_00]: So I hope people listen to me because I'm putting it into act.
- 54:25[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I'm doing that.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_00]: If I feel bad, I allow it.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_00]: I just allow myself to feel bad.
- 54:31[SPEAKER_00]: And then I know that this is the sensation.
- 54:33[SPEAKER_00]: And it's going to pass.
- 54:34[SPEAKER_00]: And it doesn't mean it's who I am, or it doesn't have to define what happens next.
- 54:41[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, anyway, anyway, I always say this, but if you want tell everyone where what's the best place to follow you?
- 54:50[SPEAKER_01]: Well, let's see, I don't really care because it's funny because, you know, isn't that funny?
- 54:58[SPEAKER_01]: I guess Instagram because I'm, I'm, I love Instagram.
- 55:01[SPEAKER_01]: It makes my heart happy sometimes and I can watch everything from like baby horses being born to, you know, Lawrence O'Donnell going off or Charles logo and on a
- 55:14[SPEAKER_01]: Episemic crisis and I can see what my kids are up to because they are fun on Instagram.
- 55:19[SPEAKER_01]: Let me tell you, those kids know how to play.
- 55:21[SPEAKER_01]: So what's my name on Instagram?
- 55:23[SPEAKER_00]: I'll tell you.
- 55:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's Steph Domingo's Walton.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_00]: That's right.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_00]: So it's all one, Steph, pH, domingas, Walton.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_00]: So go follow her and follow her.
- 55:35[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I'm looking at it right now.
- 55:37[SPEAKER_00]: That little, is that your dog?
- 55:39[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's not, is that your dog?
- 55:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 55:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's not your dog.
- 55:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's not your dog.
- 55:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's not your dog.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_01]: And look at the cat, cuddling the next one.
- 55:46[SPEAKER_01]: He's laying on the cat.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_01]: They miss, they miss my daughter and so the cat.
- 55:53[SPEAKER_01]: goes and sleeps on her bed all by himself for made bed and just yes and Oscar really doesn't know what to do with himself.
- 56:02[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's just really sad like because he slept on our bed forever.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_01]: They were like a couple and and now you know I woke up this morning to go to the gym and Oscar was just laying on the floor downstairs and that's sad.
- 56:17[SPEAKER_00]: Well I just requested your
- 56:23[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't want to follow me.
- 56:23[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't want to follow me.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't want to follow me.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_01]: She doesn't want to follow me.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_01]: She doesn't want to follow me.
- 56:26[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't want to follow me.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't want to follow me.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't want to follow me.
- 56:28[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't want to follow me.
- 56:29[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't want to follow me.
- 56:29[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't want to follow me.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't want to follow me.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't want to follow me.
- 56:31[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't want to follow me.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't want to follow me.
- 56:33[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't want to follow me.
- 56:33[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't want to follow me.
- 56:34[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't want to follow me.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't want to follow me.
- 56:36[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't want to follow me.
- 56:36[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't want to follow me.
