  [SPEAKER_00]: We've been working up from three rounds each of the last few weeks.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We went from three to four to five now we're at six and pretty much ready to do seven at this point.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And is my perfect scenario going to end up happening on draft I absolutely not.

  [SPEAKER_00]: However, this is just kind of what I wanted to share with you all today.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Something I would be really excited about.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I talked about what I believe the Jaguar as big as Needs are earlier this week.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't remember if that was yesterday.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We talked about, you know, massively upgrading defensive line and just getting more, we keep referring to it, ask kickers upfront, I really want the jag wars to create some sort of next level to their offense and I want them to keep upgrading the offensive line and we did that here in this draft so I'm excited to get into it and, um,

  [SPEAKER_00]: Before we get into the drive, I do want to say, again, this is like my perfect scenario and my perfect scenario involves bringing back Travis CTN and Buster Brown and adding an interior defensive lineman via trade or via free agency.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And my choice, my top guy right now is John Franklin Myers in a big way.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I think if you go into the draft having address the interior, the defensive line, you have.

  [SPEAKER_00]: as your top guys on the interior of the defensive line, Devon Hamilton is your big run stopper, Eric Armstrong's dead, John Franklin Myers, Trauma Walker can kick inside as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You have Josh Heinz Allen, you're starting to look like you could have one of those units that can really get after it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Without further ado, let's go ahead and jump into this mock draft.

  [SPEAKER_00]: At 56, you're gonna see some common names here, some players I've gotten in mock draft before, but that's because, again, this is like my what I would do, very excited top 100% outcome scenario.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Derek Moore, at 56, I just, the way I've been studying this edge class and the way things have been unfolding on these mock drafts, getting Derek Moore at 56, I think is just the best value that I can find.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Malachi Lawrence is also in consideration, I don't think he has nearly as complete of a game overall, as Derek Moore, I think Derek Moore has more versatility.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He did really well this senior bull.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's got the ability to win in a variety of ways as a past rusher and a lot of different tools in the arsenal to get the job done.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So he's a versatile player, a talented and skillful player that I think the Jaguars could really use as that edge three.

  [SPEAKER_00]: knock Danny Strigo down a peg, BJ Green and compete with those guys at the same time.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So that's where we went with this one to really upgrade that defensive front.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And now you're talking about you have at Edge Josh Hines Allen, Travelle Walker, Derek Moore, Danny Strigo, and

  [SPEAKER_00]: Green and I wouldn't be mad about signing another guy who's like not one of the top tier free agents at the position, but maybe a boy, I'm off air, Caleb on chase on yes, Caleb on chase on somebody like that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Didn't feel like I could wait for 81, which is the Jaguar's next pick to get the player I really wanted here, so we moved up to 64, so we have picks 56 and 64 here back into the second round, and we traded with the Seahawks, they lack picks we've talked about that before, so they could use the extra draft capital.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We give up 81 and 100 to day two picks in the third round for one second round pick, which is a pretty high price to pay, but overall I think it works out to go get tight in jack injuries and we've talked about figuring out how to really take this offense to the next level.

  [SPEAKER_00]: tight-end to pair with Britain's strange.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if he's gonna test quite as well as Britain's strange or has quite the explosiveness that Britain's strange has, but he is every bit just as good a blocker coming out of college as Britain's strange was.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He can block in line, he can block on the movies, good in past, but he's good as a run blocker.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He can move around the formation and elite hands.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Jack Andrews with Britain Strange and now you're talking about two guys that when they're on the field are just complete and utter mismatches because you don't know if you're running the ball, I fear they're buzzing defense, you don't know if you're passing and either way they're both making positive impacts on the game for you.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And you get into that 12 personnel sometimes, 13 personnel and you're just in a really good spot.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then at 88, just too good of a value in my opinion, guard Chase Basantis out of Texas A&M.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We've talked about him a good bit here on the channel the last week or so, a great athlete, pretty advanced hand usage and past protection.

  [SPEAKER_00]: and so you're getting a guy who does have right tackle experience by the way, I think he does have the athleticism probably to play tackle if you need to in a pinch, but played a lot of guard at Texas A&M, he's a fairly young guy, he's 21 right now, he'll be 22 when the season starts, but I think that you're

  [SPEAKER_00]: replenishing the back end and also you know this guy could potentially compete in year one to start if not definitely look for him to be a starter in year two could be why at my limb and chase besong to says you're starting guards in 2027.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Interior offensive line in the next couple of years and I think you're getting ahead of it and drafting a really high value player at 88 overall getting chase basantes so fired up about that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Devon Lloyd, I did not mention bringing back here, and I would love to see him back, but I just don't think it's going to be in the cards that I don't think it's going to make sense capitalize.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars, if they could, would spend all the money in the world on Devon, Lloyd, and bring everybody back.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But within the rules of the cap, you're just not quite allowed to do it that way, unless you want to completely mortgage the future or, you know, in a big way, mortgage the future.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars already have two round four linebackers on there, roster plus foie, a luchin.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And foie, again, to be in the starting line up, obviously, leader, great player, well-round

  [SPEAKER_00]: run defender at linebacker and an adequate coverage player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You have Jack Kaiser who in his limited action this year played well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You go get another linebacker here, who I think is a great value.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And the reason I waited till around four, I think you do have, you got your number one linebacker, you've got two options in Ventrell Miller and Jack Kaiser, and don't forget about Branson Colms, he really impressed me throughout last summer and preseason, but you have a really deep linebacker class.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Somebody's gonna fall through the cracks and around four.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I doubt that it ends up being Kyle Lewis out of Pittsburgh, he ends up being available here.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it is him because teams just don't know if he can actually play linebacker at his size.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he can be in a lead coverage linebacker in somebody who can attack and the jackwars the way they run their defense, you don't have the linebackers having to face too much of having to take on a guard head on head or anything like that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Josh Hines Allen and Trayvon Walker and Eric Armstrong's dead and Devon Hamilton eaten up these offensive linemen and keep in their linebackers clean a lot.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And so I think Kyle Lewis can make such an impact and I think he can be a chess piece for Anthony Campanile, like you can use him as a dimebacker who

  [SPEAKER_00]: makes a lot of big plays in coverage.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You can use him blitzing, like he can do a lot for you.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying that this is definitely the direction they're going to go, but I would be excited about it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I do think getting a linebacker in this draft that is loaded with linebackers, even though I do have some confidence in Vildenstral Miller and Jack Kaiser, I think it just makes sense to, when you have a class this deep at a certain position, address it at some point.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So Kyle Lewis and round four, but that could be a lot of different guys.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think Jacob Martin has will be available.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Certainly don't think Jacob Golday will be available.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I do like Bryce Bautcher out of Oregon, who I think can be another coverage guy, but also he is so physical, and you know, he's a great athlete being somebody who's already been drafted by the MLB.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then round five, 162, another familiar face, Landon Robinson out of Navy, defensive interior player, a little under size, but I think he gives you more of that juice on the interior that you're looking for, the ability to penetrate and make plays in the backfield, so that's an exciting one.

  [SPEAKER_00]: our final pick here of this draft, even though we did us, we signed up for a six-rounder.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what happened here, but round five, 164 overall.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he has the ability to either be a really good backup or potential starter in this league.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Very fundamentally sound good football player and now you've got multiple guys being added because look, I think Chase Passantus, an eventual starter at guard.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Whether they're able to trade in or you wait till after the 20, 26 season.
