- 1:27gateway to the north. But among the traffic
- 1:30skyscrapers and bustling civilians there lies other
- 1:35gateways within the city, gateways to dark and unholy
- 1:40realms. Our story begins in February of
- 1:432003 In Edmonton, 20 year old Morgan Knudsen has finally found
- 1:49a home of her own. Six months earlier, her parents
- 1:53had divorced and had both left the province, leaving Morgan on
- 1:57her own. She's never really felt like
- 1:59she's belonged, surfing couches and temporary arrangements
- 2:04falling through. We're beginning to take their
- 2:07toll. After applying in multiple
- 2:09places during this time, she's finally landed a job at a
- 2:13computer tech support center located within the city.
- 2:17After a short time there, she met someone who would become one
- 2:21of her best friends, a man named Bob Levesque.
- 2:25His outgoing and friendly personality just clicked with
- 2:28Morgan, and from the moment they met on the floor of their job,
- 2:32the two almost instantly became friends.
- 2:36As they began to get to know each other, they would confide
- 2:39in one another, and it just so happened that their
- 2:42circumstances meant that they could help each other out.
- 2:46Morgan was sick of surfing couches and relying on her
- 2:48friends feeling like she was a burden, and Bob, unfortunately
- 2:53was going through a divorce and a custody battle during this
- 2:57time and needed a new place to live Alone.
- 3:01Neither of them could afford to live on their own, but together
- 3:05they can make the best of their circumstances.
- 3:08So they agreed to lift each other up and before too long
- 3:12would find an apartment that seemed to be the perfect fit.
- 3:15However, as we'll come to see as their story is written, it's far
- 3:20from it. The two roommates were very
- 3:23similar in the fact that they wore their hearts on their
- 3:26sleeves. So as they unpacked and got
- 3:29settled into their new apartment, anything and
- 3:31everything that was special found a place, whether it was on
- 3:36a shelf, on a counter, or on a wall.
- 3:40As they unpacked, Morgan couldn't help but notice the
- 3:43amount of strange looking candles in one particular area
- 3:47of the living room. As she asked Bob about them, he
- 3:50would tell her that he was a Wiccan and that each candle held
- 3:54its own significance, such as one represented protection and
- 3:58another love. Being agnostic.
- 4:02Morgan didn't care what Bob decided to pray to, but more so
- 4:05just found this type of religious practice fascinating.
- 4:09She enjoyed the physical representation of the emotions
- 4:13that she herself hadn't felt in months, that feeling of
- 4:16belonging, being protected from the outside storm, and the love
- 4:20of family. After explaining this to Morgan,
- 4:24Bob would then officially hand her a key to the apartment and
- 4:27proclaim the space as their home, a moment of significance
- 4:31for each of them. Together they would feel excited
- 4:34and eager to see what the future held.
- 4:37Several days later, as Bob and Morgan returned from a trip to
- 4:40the grocery store and make the trek up to the 4th floor of the
- 4:44complex, which is where their apartment was located.
- 4:48As they approached the door and start to unlock it, it's as if
- 4:51someone is on the other side holding the locking mechanism.
- 4:56The two then begin to hear movement coming from inside the
- 4:59apartment, the sounds of shuffling and footsteps.
- 5:03Morgan rushes down the stairs and outside to check if she can
- 5:06see anyone inside their apartment From the outside.
- 5:10As she rushes out the door of the complex and out to the curb
- 5:13to look, she sees nothing. She quickly makes her way back
- 5:17into the complex and then back up the four flights of stairs to
- 5:20where her and Bob's apartment is located.
- 5:23Only when she gets there, there's no Bob to be seen.
- 5:27The front door is wide open as she approaches it, she soon
- 5:31startled by a man. Thankfully, it's Bob.
- 5:36He explains that he was able to get the door open somehow, and
- 5:39that he had heard shuffling noise coming from the apartment
- 5:42next door as well. But after Morgan explains that
- 5:45the next door apartment is vacant, Bob quickly dismisses
- 5:48their experience, saying that old buildings tend to creak and
- 5:52moan as they settle and we probably heard nothing.
- 5:56Although perplexed, Morgan simply accepts this explanation,
- 6:00grabs the groceries from the floor Morgan has suddenly woken
- 6:10up by the sound of banging coming from the wall next to her
- 6:13head. Thinking Bob was awake and
- 6:15stumbling around, she gets up and makes her way towards the
- 6:19living room as she goes to ask him if everything is all right
- 6:23given the hour. She walks past his room where
- 6:26she finds him asleep, standing still to listen for the noises
- 6:31that had woken her up. She hears nothing once again,
- 6:35unsure of what to make of the situation.
- 6:38She is unnerved, but eventually makes her way back to her room
- 6:42and back to bed. Roughly a week after this night,
- 6:46the two friends host a moving in party with several of their
- 6:49colleagues from work, hoping to cut loose with a few glasses of
- 6:53wine, some home cooked dinner and some company.
- 6:57They spend the night joking and laughing.
- 7:00As the night progresses, a mutual friend of theirs by the
- 7:02name of Kate asks if anyone had any dirt to dish, to which
- 7:05Morgan replied with I haven't been seeing anyone, but at night
- 7:09I keep hearing footsteps coming from my roommate's bedroom, so
- 7:12I'm just curious who the lucky lady is.
- 7:15Bob, although laughing with the group, denies seeing anyone,
- 7:19especially given his circumstances.
- 7:21He wasn't trying to see anyone romantically.
- 7:23He was more concerned about seeing his two sons, who he
- 7:26hadn't seen in over half a year at this point, and his heart's
- 7:28emotions were still too raw following the fallout he had
- 7:31with his wife, resulting in the divorce proceedings.
- 7:34The group soon moves on with the night and eventually all would
- 7:37leave except for the host, Morgan and Bob.
- 7:39As the two clean up after their celebration, Bob asks Morgan.
- 7:43Are you serious about hearing footsteps at night?
- 7:46To which she replied. Yeah, I keep hearing them, but
- 7:49it could just be my mind playing tricks on me.
- 7:51After a moment of silence, Bob replies with no, it's not your
- 7:56mind playing tricks on you. I've been hearing things too,
- 7:59and the other night I saw something that I can't explain.
- 8:03Concerned now, Morgan would ask him to elaborate.
- 8:05Bob would go on to say that he believed he saw a spirit in his
- 8:08room. The other night he was woken out
- 8:10of a sound sleep by the flickering of a light.
- 8:13Thinking it was storming outside, he wiped his eyes, only
- 8:17to see the figure of a boy when he opened them again.
- 8:20The boy was younger, resembling the age of eight or nine.
- 8:23Upon asking the boy who he was, he was told his name was Joseph.
- 8:27Ever since that night, Joseph had been visiting Bob almost
- 8:30nightly to chat with him. Bob, however, had been keeping
- 8:34this to himself until now. Upon hearing these details,
- 8:38Morgan was concerned. But didn't think at 1st that it
- 8:41was something paranormal. She believed it could be Bob's
- 8:43subconscious inventing a delusion due to the stress of
- 8:46him not being able to see his two boys due to the situation he
- 8:50found himself in with a divorce and ongoing custody battle.
- 8:53But still she couldn't fully remove the happenings in her
- 8:56mind from the door being locked and not wanting to open to
- 8:59hearing the banging sounds and footsteps.
- 9:02She thought what if the two were related somehow?
- 9:05As she pondered these thoughts, Bob had stepped out of the room
- 9:08briefly, but would return. With one of his candles, Wickens
- 9:11often believe that certain objects can help and strengthen
- 9:14their prayers. This candle in particular was
- 9:17supposed to help focus the energy of the home and bring
- 9:19peace and harmony to all who dwell within it.
- 9:22So by lighting it, he believed it would help Joseph move on and
- 9:25help calm Morgan's nerves. So, focusing on his intent, he
- 9:29does just that. The following morning is the two
- 9:32wake up and begin to get ready for the day.
- 9:35Bob heads out early since he has a doctor's appointment, while
- 9:39Morgan prepares to head into the office.
- 9:42As she heads towards the key holder, things in hand for the
- 9:45day, she realizes that her keys aren't there.
- 9:48As she sets her items down and begins to search, she feels the
- 9:52hair on the back of her neck start to raise up.
- 9:56She glances up from the couch she had been rummaging through
- 9:59to see the slightest glimpse of a small boy out of the corner of
- 10:03her eye, However, glancing back over to the key rack.
- 10:14There in their usual spot are her keys,
- 10:41Joseph? The day would come and go, and
- 10:45Bob wouldn't show up for work. As Morgan showed back up to the
- 10:49apartment in the evening, she would find him near his shrine
- 10:52of sorts, struggling to light one of his candles.
- 10:57It was in fact the same one that he had lit previously to bring
- 11:00Harmony to the home. Morgan would also notice that
- 11:04almost all of his candles were lit, but this one in particular,
- 11:08the WIC simply would not ignite. Bob, however, seemed unfazed.
- 11:14He kept trying to light it over and over again.
- 11:18As he did this, he would tell Morgan that he was diagnosed
- 11:21with cancer that day. Blood cancer.
- 11:25And that's why he didn't go into work.
- 11:27Devastated by this news, Morgan tries to comfort her friend but
- 11:32is unexpectedly rejected. Her easygoing and friendly
- 11:36roommate seems angry and bitter hurt by this development, but
- 11:41not wanting to make this about her, Morgan simply swallows her
- 11:45feelings and tries to be as supportive as she can.
- 11:48But Bob simply just wants to be left alone.
- 11:51So after failing to light the last candle, he would leave the
- 11:55living room and head into his room and shut the door behind
- 11:59him, perhaps to continue to come to terms with this devastating
- 12:03news After hours apart. As Morgan prepares for bed, she
- 12:08passes by Bob's room, door still closed, and oddly, she hears
- 12:13what sounds like two people whispering inside.
- 12:17But despite this, she talks through the door to Bob, telling
- 12:21him that she's sorry, that she wants to be there for him.
- 12:25She is only met with rage. Bob screams at her through the
- 12:28door to leave him alone, and a banging noise emanates from
- 12:33behind the door, startling Morgan As she backs up, she sees
- 12:38a black figure in the living room as she apprehensively
- 12:42approaches it. It darts through a wall with
- 12:44incredible quickness. Its movement extinguishes the
- 12:49flames of Bob's candles. Morgan, both upset and scared,
- 12:55now has no one to talk to. Bob has isolated himself within
- 12:59his room, and there was no one else available at this moment to
- 13:04quell the sea of emotions. She very quietly makes her way
- 13:08back to her room, where she attempts to sleep for the night.
- 13:12As she tosses and turns, her mind begins to ponder and
- 13:16process these new developments. It seems like whatever force
- 13:20that dwelled within the apartment was getting stronger,
- 13:24and perhaps it was. Over the last several months, as
- 13:29Morgan Knudsen has been working at a computer Technical Support
- 13:32center, she is met and become acquainted with many new people
- 13:37and has made many new friends. One such a person was becoming a
- 13:41budding love interest, and his name was Courtney.
- 13:45Clapping following the night of the apparition, revealing itself
- 13:49to Morgan and Morgan also becoming aware of Bob's cancer
- 13:52diagnosis, she finally decided to take Courtney up on his date
- 13:56proposal, something that she had been turning down for quite some
- 14:00time. The two would go out for dinner
- 14:02and drinks that evening after work, and as they enjoyed each
- 14:05other's company, Morgan began to confide in Courtney about some
- 14:09of the strange things that have been happening in her and Bob's
- 14:12apartment. Courtney believed Morgan thought
- 14:15she was experiencing something, but figured that there had to be
- 14:18a scientific explanation, that the paranormal was nothing more
- 14:22than old superstitions and ignorance.
- 14:25He proposed that he go with her to the apartment, that he would
- 14:29disprove her ghosts, that he could even get that unlightable
- 14:33candle to ignite. So, figuring she had nothing to
- 14:36lose, Morgan agrees. After the small drive, the two
- 14:40find themselves inside the apartment, where Courtney
- 14:43proceeds to begin lighting all the candles on the shrine.
- 14:47He is successful lighting all of them until he reaches the one
- 14:50that Morgan had mentioned would not light, although she didn't
- 14:54tell him which one it had been. He tries for several seconds
- 14:59until suddenly it does manage to light, but what happens next
- 15:03shocks them both. The candle suddenly begins to
- 15:06spark and the flame itself shoots out from the top of the
- 15:10candle several feet, Courtney would begin dating, and
- 15:33although Morgan tries to be there for her friend, Bob seems
- 15:36to be losing himself. He no longer speaks to her.
- 15:40She barely sees him and he just spends all of his time inside
- 15:44his room talking to Joseph, and more disturbingly, she can hear
- 16:01This sad trend will continue for quite some time, until one
- 16:05morning when Morgan wakes up to get ready for work, she is
- 16:09greeted by Bob, who's already dressed and cooking breakfast.
- 16:14Shocked, but excited to see an inkling of her old friend back
- 16:17to his normal self, she hugs and greets him, but Bob not only
- 16:21seems normal again, but he seems elated.
- 16:24The legal proceedings have finally allowed him to be able
- 16:27to see his boys again, so he tells her that after work, he's
- 16:31headed to Saskatchewan for the weekend for some much needed
- 16:34family time. Being both happy for her friend
- 16:37and for their relationship, hopefully returning to what it
- 16:40used to be, Morgan wishes him a safe trip.
- 16:44As Bob leaves the apartment, she makes her way to the restroom to
- 16:48take her morning shower. As she draws, the water,
- 16:51undresses and begins to bathe herself.
- 16:55Unbeknownst to her, the door to the bathroom slowly begins to
- 16:59creak open. As she massages her scalp with
- 17:02shampoo, she hears what sounds like whispering coming from
- 17:06behind the shower curtain. As her eyes dart towards the
- 17:10direction of the sound, she begins to hear dark and sinister
- 17:15laughing emanating and grotesque looking hands press onto the
- 17:25curtain and rush towards her. She is reduced to a soaking pile
- 17:30of terror in the corner of the tub, and then whatever the
- 17:34horrific presence was disappeared.
- 17:38Although the incident only lasts seconds, it feels like an
- 17:41eternity. Pulling back the curtain to
- 17:44confirm that whatever it was was gone, Morgan now comes to terms
- 17:48with her encounter. She didn't know what this force
- 17:51was, but she did know that it wanted her to be very, very
- 17:56scared, she had to talk to Bob. So rushing into the call center
- 18:09that they both worked at, she sees him and begins divulging
- 18:13her experience, placing the customer he was chatting with on
- 18:16hold. Bob surprisingly goes on the
- 18:19defensive. He tells Morgan that there's no
- 18:22way that whatever she experienced was Joseph, that he
- 18:26was just a little boy. The lack of support from her
- 18:29friend and roommate seems to break something within Morgan.
- 18:32She becomes frantic and angry as she storms away from Bob's desk.
- 18:38Her boyfriend, Courtney rushes to her aid.
- 18:41However far for being a supportive pillar to lean on, he
- 18:45tells her that he overheard everything she said, that she
- 18:48needed to calm down, that she's believing in something that
- 18:51simply doesn't exist. This is the last thing Morgan
- 18:55needs to hear in this moment, so without a further word, she
- 18:59leaves the call center. She then contemplates her next
- 19:02move and decides to reach out to the only person who she thinks
- 19:06will understand where she's coming from and what she's
- 19:09dealing with, her friend Stephanie.
- 19:12Upon reaching Stephanie's house, the first words out of Morgan's
- 19:15mouth are I'm scared, and who can blame her after dealing with
- 19:19everything she had been going through thus far, knowing that
- 19:21Morgan felt as if her home was being invaded by something she
- 19:24couldn't fight, and what having a home in the 1st place finally
- 19:27meant to her, Stephanie comforts her friend and then suggests
- 19:31something. After doing some research, she
- 19:33suggested that the two attempts to capture Joseph on a recording
- 19:37to capture an EVP of the phenomena to prove his existence
- 19:41and try to come up with a plan of action.
- 19:43Neither of the two of them have done any work prior to this and
- 19:47apprehensive at first but not seeing any other options, Morgan
- 19:50agreed. The two then drive to Morgan's
- 19:52department and with the assistance of one of the
- 19:54neighbors, who is a mutual friend.
- 19:57They're able to get Stephanie up the four flights of stairs since
- 20:00she was disabled and wheelchair bound.
- 20:02After reaching the top and heading towards the apartment
- 20:04with a digital recorder in hopes of capturing something to
- 20:07possibly show someone who would have the expertise to assist
- 20:10them further, they make their way towards Morgan's room.
- 20:13Within a few minutes of being inside, they hear something
- 20:16shatter in the living room. Walking to see what it could
- 20:19have been, they come across a statue that Morgan had first put
- 20:22up when her and Bob moved in. A statue that symbolized just
- 20:25how much having a place to call home really meant to her is now
- 20:29laid in pieces on the floor. Morgan believed this to be some
- 20:32kind of challenge from the entity, almost a provocation.
- 20:35So instead of starting in her room, she decided to begin the
- 20:38recording. There, in the living room, as
- 20:40the recorder did its job, Morgan began to ask her questions.
- 20:44These questions ranged from How old are you?
- 20:47What are you? Where did you come from?
- 20:49Why are you here? Why are you targeting me?
- 20:52Among many, the process of trying to make contact and
- 20:55record a response is painstaking and after hours of attempts
- 20:59after playing the recording back, they received no
- 21:02responses. At this point it was very late
- 21:05and although nervous about sleeping in the apartment,
- 21:08Morgan had the company of her friend, so together the two
- 21:11decided to turn in for the night.
- 21:13This decision was also made since the mutual friend who had
- 21:16helped carry Stephanie up the stairs earlier in the day was
- 21:19also long since asleep for the night.
- 21:22After settling in Morgan's bed, the woman drift off to
- 21:24dreamland. Something spectral was watching
- 21:27them sleep. Around 3:00 AM, both Morgan and
- 21:31Stephanie are woken up by the sounds of footsteps in the
- 21:34living room. At first they thought it was
- 21:36Bob, but Morgan knew that Bob had been looking forward to
- 21:40seeing his sons more than anything, and unless something
- 21:43catastrophic had taken place, there would be no reason for him
- 21:46to be home, let alone at 3:00 AM.
- 21:50As Morgan turned towards the door to go and figure out just
- 21:52what was happening, the door to her room opened by itself.
- 21:57The atmosphere shut. Stephanie frantically called out
- 22:11in the darkness, asking what was happening. could barely eke out
- 22:22a sentence as the door opened and slammed, and a dark,
- 22:27sinister laugh could be heard throughout the room, as well as
- 22:31a sound of heavy footsteps stomping around.
- 22:35Not knowing what else to do, Morgan asked Stephanie to call
- 22:38Courtney since she was the closest to the phone.
- 22:42However, upon calling, no one answered.
- 22:46The two of them were now isolated, and Morgan knew that
- 22:49if she left her friend there to go and get outside help, that
- 22:52this thing, this force, could lock doors and was feeding upon
- 22:57their fear, it would be hard telling what it would do to
- 23:00Stephanie. So together they seemingly had
- 23:03no choice other than to brave the storm.
- 23:06Terrified for the rest of the night until Daybreak around 6:00
- 23:10AM, the two sat in Morgan's room were held captive by this force.
- 23:16Which continued to open and slam doors and what sounded like
- 23:20cabinets, as well as ransacking the living room.
- 23:24At dawn, a call breaks the silence of the apartment.
- 23:28It's Courtney. After a brief explanation, he
- 23:31heads over with his help and the three of them are able to leave.
- 23:35After dropping Stephanie back off at her house, the couple
- 23:38begins to talk. Courtney is still not convinced
- 23:42that the two of them really experienced anything.
- 23:45But regardless, he suggests that Morgan leave the apartment for
- 23:48several days to clear her head. However, conveniently, even
- 23:53after finding out that she had no other options besides him and
- 23:57Stephanie to stay with, he doesn't initially offer her
- 24:00solace at his place. Morgan, despite this in the
- 24:04unfolding situation of dealing with the paranormal force that
- 24:07was now plaguing her life, refused to give up her home, her
- 24:11sanctuary to anyone spirit. More flesh and bone, she decides
- 24:17to go back. Upon arriving at the apartment
- 24:20with Courtney, the two walk in and are greeted by Bob.
- 24:24In the living room. He seems upbeat and certainly
- 24:27more at peace. The trip to see his boys must
- 24:30have gone well. He explains that on his trip he
- 24:34picked up a blessed candle that should help with things.
- 24:37Morgan, who had kept the digital recorder, remembered reading
- 24:40that changes in temperatures, even the striking of a match.
- 24:45Could potentially trigger spiritual activity.
- 24:48So she decides to begin recording the interaction.
- 24:51Bob, then before the two of them, lights the blessed candle
- 24:54and then takes its flame and puts it to the Wick of the
- 24:57candle. That was to help focus the
- 24:59energy of the home and bring peace and harmony.
- 25:02The very same candle that Morgan and Courtney had attempted to
- 25:06light and whose flame had surged and left them with unanswered
- 25:10questions. It lit normally.
- 25:13This interaction made Courtney question just what was taking
- 25:16place. As Morgan began to explain to
- 25:19Bob what had happened the night before, he seemed completely
- 25:22uninterested. He simply kept smiling at his
- 25:26blessed candle as he carried it throughout the apartment.
- 25:30Courtney would later say that the Bob I knew from the
- 25:33workplace had a completely different personality.
- 25:36The Bob I encountered that day at the apartment was very odd
- 25:41and honestly creepy. The whole thing was strange.
- 25:44As Bob makes his way back into the living room and closes his
- 25:47door, the couple sits down at a table.
- 25:50Morgan explains that she had recorded the interaction and
- 25:53wanted to see if she had captured anything.
- 25:56Playing back the audio at first, they don't hear anything out of
- 26:00the ordinary, but as Bob ignited the original candle with the new
- 26:041A, horrific and unearthly scream came through the
- 26:08speakers. The scream not only scared,
- 26:11Morgan. But it also bewildered Courtney,
- 26:14because he was there, and he knew that there was no way of
- 26:17faking that. The scream also served as a
- 26:20confirmation to Morgan that she most certainly was not dealing
- 26:24with the spirit of a little boy. Assessing her options, she
- 26:29begins to research who she could reach out to having seen a
- 26:32program a while time. But she is able to get in
- 26:41contact with Lorraine. Upon explaining the situation to
- 26:45her, the description send alarm bells ringing for Lorraine.
- 26:49She knows immediately that this spirit is indeed not the one of
- 26:52a little boy, but rather that is put this up as a facade in order
- 26:57to gain entry into the apartment and into their lives, that
- 27:01Morgan is not the primary target, but Bob.
- 27:06She believes that Bob's major shift in personality and
- 27:09obsession with the entity indicates that he is under
- 27:12demonic possession. She also believes that this took
- 27:15place due to the entity exploiting Bob's vulnerability
- 27:19and it took the form of a child since Bob was so desperate to
- 27:22spend time with his own children.
- 27:25She also tells Morgan that her only hope at this point is to
- 27:28spiritually fortify herself for protection and try and convince
- 27:32Bob the real Bob. That he asked to renounce Joseph
- 27:37and fight, and that if he refuses to renounce this entity,
- 27:41that ultimately there would be a tragedy within the home.
- 27:45The call would last for several hours.
- 27:48Courtney, finally convinced that something spiritual was indeed
- 27:51taking place, finally offers Morgan the opportunity to come
- 27:56and stay at his home, to get away from it all.
- 27:59But she didn't want to give up on Bob.
- 28:01So upon Courtney departing for the night.
- 28:04Morgan turns around to face the horror within as she slowly
- 28:08walks back into the apartment and towards Bob's room.
- 28:11She realizes that his door is now open and Bob is within a
- 28:15circle of candles upon the floor, make things right again,
- 28:24but we have to get a priest. As the words leave her lips,
- 28:28they're met with an angry no from Bob, and for a split
- 28:32second. Although Bob is seething, she
- 28:35sees a glimpse of her old friend, but just for that small
- 28:39sliver of time. Although reluctant, no doubt Bob
- 28:42agrees to accept her help. The following morning she drives
- 28:47him to a local Catholic Church in hopes of getting assistance
- 28:50there at the recommendation of Lorraine Warren.
- 28:53However, upon seeing the church, Bob refuses to go in, losing
- 28:59hope but still determined. Morgan continues onward and
- 29:03meets with the priest there. At the priest's recommendation.
- 29:07She's told to display holy objects throughout the home in
- 29:10an effort to repel any evil that could be dwelling there, and to
- 29:14recite the prayer of Saint Benedict, the patron St. of the
- 29:18poisoned and Poisoned. He believed Bob to be given the
- 29:21story that he was told. The priest wanted to assist
- 29:24further, but without the permission of Bob and an
- 29:27Inperson meeting, he would not be able to do so.
- 29:31Later that evening, Morgan begins to place crucifixes
- 29:35throughout the hallways of the apartment home.
- 29:38As she toils away, hanging each one with care and intent, she is
- 29:43soon greeted by Bob. He stepped out of the shadows at
- 29:46the end of the hallway. She had not heard him previously
- 29:50leave his room. He begins to scream at her,
- 29:53demanding that she take the crucifixes down.
- 29:56The person she sees she no longer recognizes.
- 30:01As she stands her ground, Bob, staring at the cross, suddenly
- 30:06begins to weep, and for another brief moment, the Bob she once
- 30:10knew seems to come through once again.
- 30:13He explains through the tears that he knows that something
- 30:16isn't right, that it's not the cancer diagnosis, that there's
- 30:20something dark and angry residing within him, but that he
- 30:24doesn't know what to do as Morgan drops her guard to try
- 30:28and comfort her friend. Explaining to him that maybe if
- 30:31he just told Joseph no for one night, that perhaps they could
- 30:35start to fix this. When these words left her lips,
- 30:39there was another shift with it. Bob.
- 30:42He went back into an angry state, yelling that she needed
- 30:45to stop talking about things that she knew nothing about.
- 30:49As he storms off, headed back to his room, Morgan and tears
- 30:53herself, now heads into the kitchen as she attempts to
- 30:56gather herself. All of the dishes in the
- 30:59cabinets begin to shake. Suddenly, the cabinet flies open
- 31:04and a plate is thrown by an unseen force.
- 31:08It hits Morgan in the head, cutting her open.
- 31:11Screaming, she flees the apartment.
- 31:14She would find solace with Courtney that night.
- 31:17As she tosses and turns trying to sleep, she can't help but
- 31:21feel obligated to Bob. And she wants to try and follow
- 31:24through what she had discussed with the priest and Lorraine
- 31:27Warren and hopes of freeing him from whatever this entity was.
- 31:32Several nights later, she finally convinces court to help
- 31:36her by reciting the Prayer of Saint Benedict within the
- 31:39apartment. As the two sit down at a table
- 31:42in the living room and begin praying, the table itself begins
- 31:46to shake. As they deepen in their efforts,
- 31:50almost everything around them is in motion.
- 31:53Objects are shaking and floating, moving of their own
- 31:57accord. They repeat the prayer multiple
- 32:00times and soon become too frightened to continue given the
- 32:04escalation and activity taking place.
- 32:07Morgan runs to Bob's door and pleads for him to leave the
- 32:11apartment. But there's no answer.
- 32:14Following the events of this night, Morgan would stay the
- 32:17next two weeks with Courtney at his home.
- 32:19During this time, the two of them would decide that it was
- 32:22for the best for her to move in with him permanently.
- 32:25She, however, would need to retrieve her belongings from
- 32:51out. Upon arriving, Morgan opens the
- 32:54door to the apartment and is greeted with a bone chilling
- 32:57cold rush of air as she steps inside.
- 33:01Quickly getting to work, she begins to round up her things.
- 33:05Although there's an eerie feeling in the air, nothing is
- 33:08manifesting. Meanwhile, at the call center,
- 33:11Bob has gone missing. This sends up a red flag to
- 33:14Courtney when he happens to notice.
- 33:16When he finds out he's been gone for over an hour, he rushes to
- 33:20call Morgan. However, his call would fall
- 33:23upon deaf ears. Her phone had been left inside
- 33:26of her car. Back at the apartment, Morgan
- 33:29finishes packing the last of her home's keepsakes from the shelf
- 33:33in the living room that she had put up when they had first moved
- 33:36in. She only has one box full of
- 33:38belongings. It's not much, but it's all
- 33:41she's got. As she takes one last look at
- 33:44the apartment, savoring the situation as a whole, she turns
- 33:48around to approach the door to make her final exit. his former
- 33:59self. He immediately goes on the
- 34:02defensive. He gets in her face and starts
- 34:05grilling her on what she's doing, but Morgan refuses to
- 34:09cower. She calmly tells Bob that she
- 34:11still cares for him, but that she can't help him anymore If he
- 34:14can't help himself by renouncing Joseph, Bob throws back a
- 34:17seething reply. He doesn't need me, I need him.
- 34:21Take your trinkets with you. Your God didn't save him anyway.
- 34:26Bursting into tears, Morgan grabs her box to leave, but
- 34:29blocking the door is the operation of a child.
- 34:32It's Joseph, However. He begins to morph into
- 34:35something grotesque, A mangled monstrosity.
- 34:39Morgan later describes the creature as having black eyes,
- 34:42gnarled fangs, and Gray dead skin.
- 34:45When the creature dissipates, seemingly within seconds, Morgan
- 34:48leaves. The last sound she hears is the
- 34:51whisper of a little boy talking to Bob in the room.
- 34:54She leaves knowing there's nothing more she could have
- 34:57done. After this day, Bob never shows
- 35:01up to work again. He moves out of the apartment
- 35:04but leaves no forwarding address.
- 35:06His whereabouts and fate are unknown.
- 35:10Morgan and Courtney continued today for the next four years
- 35:13following the events mentioned in this video.
- 35:16However, I was unable to confirm if they are still together.
- 35:20Morgan and Stephanie would eventually combine their
- 35:22intrigue for the supernatural to found Entity Seeker, an agency
- 35:27that helps people find assistants who are in danger by
- 35:30the paranormal. They didn't want anyone to feel
- 35:33helpless like they did, ultimately using their
- 35:35experiences to bring positivity into the world.
- 35:39To this day, Morgan continues to run Entity Seeker and has been
- 35:43involved in numerous investigations and shows, as
- 35:47well as writing several books. If you're interested in her
- 35:50works, I'll leave links in the description below.
- 35:53This entire case, to me, is very intriguing.
- 35:56It just goes to show that the paranormal can affect anyone and
- 35:59everyone. Regardless of location and
- 36:01circumstances, that if such a thing as demons exist that
- 36:05they'll take advantage of the weakest beings in the most
- 36:08vulnerable states, such as Bob exploiting his feelings and
- 36:12imperfections to take possession of his very soul for its own
- 36:17ends. I also think that it showcases
- 36:19the humanity of Morgan and how these types of situations can
- 36:23affect your daytoday life. But that she also shows how one
- 36:26can grow and make the best of set situations and use their
- 36:31experiences to help assist others in need.
- 36:34All observations aside, have you ever lived in a haunted home?
- 36:38And what if that home was your first?
- 36:41How would that affect you the rest of your days?
- 36:43And how don't let it be you.
- 37:15Thank you all so much for watching.
