- 0:00it was difficult for people to be eating and then see you're not eating and it was very much the same with drinking it was hard to be around people I think it was hard for them to be around people that weren't drinking and they had a history with him having been drinkers and then all of a sudden they're not drinking anymore that's something that I didn't expect and that's also big on the food front in fact I'm not sure what's bigger I think maybe on the food front if you're gonna be one of those people like I did that embrace fasting if in fact you talk to your doctor again this is what I did these are the things that I did to drop off 135 pounds of fat in about seven and a half months and in that process there was a whole lot of self discovery but it didn't happen yet at the beginning of that seven and a half months it took me practicing up until that point and if you are one that has been trying to lose weight trying to lose fat again the trying thing isn't going to help because it's not helping you succeed even just the use of the word if we try something the events unknown we want to do it that's how the mind needs to be if you've been practicing and that's the way I've been looking at it so for 51 and something years I was practicing getting less fat getting somewhat more comfortable in my skin and it started about 7 or 8 years old starting getting fat at that time and then it just kind of moved through into you know adolescent you know kid a kid fat and then teen fat adolescent fat whatever wherever those fall into place and then of course adult and middle age and God knows where I'm going but I got to the middle age point and I said okay we're gonna fix this but it wasn't really that simple it took a lot of practice so I failed at many diets I did the thing for a very long time I did Atkins I did Paleo I did eat right for your blood type I did you name it I did it caloric restriction God almighty there was a time back when I was um late teens early 20s getting ready for the Los Angeles Police Academy that was the dream so in with that I remember oh my god V8 juice and pasta boil pasta and put it in a bowl quantity I wasn't like if I was eating a bowl of Frosted Flakes which would have been you then like probably half a gallon of milk this was you know cooked hot pasta and they were the wider noodles kind of the long noodles but the wide ones yeah was eating and you know did drop the weight that severe caloric restriction did drop the weight I'm sure I did a great job affecting it now I was lifting so maybe that did some counterbalancing but eating like that you've cut out protein I mean the pasta wasn't enriched with anything back then now you might be able to find it that has extra stuff in it but yeah right so that was one of those things one was black eyed peas and cod that was a little bit better but those it just nothing works so that was all practice my god in the practice start a long time I've been preparing to get on this journey and to be less fat and to be in much better shape all of my life how long have you been practicing when are you going to win around and keep winning for a while see when I was practicing never getting the game day it starts to become boring and then you give up God almighty I'm gonna try this again in the people that you might have they might be the greatest most supportive people if that's the case if that's your world thank God for that because you're gonna win easily once you get done practicing I cannot tell you when I was finished practicing I can't tell you the event I can tell you when because that was when all this started but I can't tell you that specific event if there was such a thing it could have just been critical mass in here it could have just been I had practice and exhaust exhausted myself with all of the practice I put in and then at that time I flip the switch and it started so the first I used fasting you look into that talk to your doctor the first longest fast was a big deal for me because it showed me many things that I have been looking for am I going to be able to do this I like chllenge lmost it's like I really go this long without eating any food and you're like oh my God you do that with food I might do that with um off of a cliff into a water source down below or maybe somebody daring me to bungee jumper daring me to skydive and maybe that but daring me to try not to eat for an extended period of time yeah luck with that but that was when my practice ended and then I was able to get multiple wins the next win was after the fast the refeed when I started eating again what was that gonna look like because if you do something in your life dietary wise and that does a great job changing you and you start to see it but then you stop what was the point great practice good job but the practice never equated to you getting on stage never equated to you to stepping up to the plate or you on the cleats or whatever the game is it's the game gets really serious when you get so fat just being fat out of the box causes a lot of issues not body shaming folks but I was there and I know that you the box new is great but being fat you're horrible even in the box I'm Connor Macgyver I hope you're well and we'll see you on the next one I hope in this video the words I talk about those six to 10 to 12 whatever number it is that phrase of words that you need to hear that are going to put you on your winning path have you understand and wrap your mind around how important all those practice sessions were and if during your winning you lose a game or two no problem just don't let those losses continue eventually the coach is gonna put you on the bench and then after that you'll probably go on the ground talk to you soon but I would imagine there was muscle on me back then that it starts to cause you problems but now it's time to win
