- 0:00Speaker 1: Stirring the pots one morning at a time. Welcome looking
- 0:05Speaker 1: to the Alabama Show.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Okay, so I've been watching TikTok a lot, right, Yeah?
- 0:20Speaker 3: Usual?
- 0:20Speaker 4: Also, good morning. There's this.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Like I'm on some feed that's the telekinesis side of TikTok,
- 0:29Speaker 2: which is where people move things with their mind. There's
- 0:34Speaker 2: this girl that like points her hands at something and
- 0:37Speaker 2: it moves.
- 0:39Speaker 4: I've been trying to do that.
- 0:41Speaker 3: I'm glad you're just now getting on board. I've been
- 0:44Speaker 3: on this side of TikTok for the past two years.
- 0:47Speaker 2: I sat in my kitchen yesterday and was like putting
- 0:51Speaker 2: my hands in a trash can trying to make the
- 0:53Speaker 2: bag crinkle. You're insane, Nigo's eleven.
- 1:01Speaker 3: You're right, that's totally plausible, and that happened in the eighties.
- 1:05Speaker 3: So what says we can't do it now?
- 1:07Speaker 4: How's this normal girl on TikTok doing it?
- 1:10Speaker 5: There's a guy I saw who can make the wind
- 1:13Speaker 5: move leaves. Like he'll sit there and do spins and
- 1:16Speaker 5: like control the leaves on where they go.
- 1:18Speaker 2: I used to do that when I was a kid,
- 1:20Speaker 2: but at the trees, I'd make the trees blow.
- 1:22Speaker 4: I'd look at them and be like blow trees and
- 1:24Speaker 4: they do it.
- 1:25Speaker 3: I'm gonna find this video ensure this is different. This
- 1:28Speaker 3: is this dude can move? I knew it.
- 1:31Speaker 4: Good morning, Thank you for being here. In case you
- 1:33Speaker 4: missed it. We both want to be superheroes.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Hey call the show. If you could have a superpower,
- 1:37Speaker 2: what would it be? Eight three three five one Pama
- 1:39Speaker 2: is the number? Good morning is what the hell?
- 1:42Speaker 1: Headlines The Hell? On the Alabama Show.
- 1:46Speaker 4: A ups driver tried to run over a ten year old.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Why what is wrong with that person?
- 1:53Speaker 4: Guess where this happened?
- 1:55Speaker 3: Was it Florida?
- 1:56Speaker 4: Florida?
- 1:57Speaker 2: Because the ten year old he was driving on a scooter.
- 2:01Speaker 2: The driver delivered the package to the wrong address, so
- 2:04Speaker 2: the kid got it and was driving it to the
- 2:06Speaker 2: right address and the postal worker his excuse is he
- 2:10Speaker 2: thought the kid was a porch pirate, so he started
- 2:12Speaker 2: trying to run the kid off.
- 2:14Speaker 4: The road in the truck. And now they are arrested.
- 2:19Speaker 4: The postal worker, not the kid.
- 2:21Speaker 3: What is going on?
- 2:22Speaker 4: Listen to this.
- 2:23Speaker 6: Says that just a simple oops crash with a ten
- 2:25Speaker 6: year old on the road. This is an intentional act
- 2:28Speaker 6: by the United States postal worker. You know It's amazing
- 2:30Speaker 6: what a small conversation would do in a situation, rather
- 2:33Speaker 6: than jumping straight to your force, use the force or
- 2:37Speaker 6: putting your hands on somewhere.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Absolutely, instead of jumping to conclusions like hey, be like hey,
- 2:41Speaker 2: what you doing?
- 2:42Speaker 3: Yeah? Hey, what you doing? Not come here?
- 2:46Speaker 7: It's super easy trivia with the Alabama Show.
- 2:50Speaker 2: All right, Producer Blake, today, you are the contestant.
- 2:54Speaker 3: I have prepped for this all day.
- 2:55Speaker 2: I know because Producer Blake wanted trivia question. It's about superheroes. Hey,
- 3:00Speaker 2: if you want these tickets to John mulaney at the
- 3:02Speaker 2: Alabama Theater in February called the show eight three thirty
- 3:05Speaker 2: five O one Bama Producer Blake, Here are your superhero questions?
- 3:09Speaker 4: Okay, Number one, what is Batman's real name?
- 3:13Speaker 3: Bruce Wayne? But you didn't hear that from me?
- 3:16Speaker 4: Who's his sidekick Robin?
- 3:18Speaker 1: Or?
- 3:19Speaker 3: But you got all different types of Robins?
- 3:21Speaker 4: Just say Robin?
- 3:23Speaker 3: Okay, all right?
- 3:24Speaker 2: Question number two what super hero I was also known
- 3:27Speaker 2: as Peter Parker spider Man? And last one for the win?
- 3:32Speaker 4: Okay, what is Superman's weakness?
- 3:35Speaker 3: Kryptonot or Lois Wayne? Here?
- 3:52Speaker 4: Congratulations, buddy, you won?
- 3:54Speaker 3: Thank you? I figured either one of those would work.
- 3:57Speaker 1: These three things you need to know.
- 3:59Speaker 2: The old Caraway emergency room is now going to be
- 4:04Speaker 2: an indoor entertainment venue. So this is part of the redevelopment,
- 4:07Speaker 2: which is already home to the Coca Cola Amphitheater the
- 4:10Speaker 2: open last summer that we've been to, and you know
- 4:12Speaker 2: the hospital that's all that they're doing construction next to
- 4:16Speaker 2: the Coca Cola amphitheater.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Yeah, it's the first thing you see.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Yeah, they are going to turn part of that into
- 4:22Speaker 2: an indoor venue. Also, it'll be like part of the
- 4:25Speaker 2: Coca Cola Amphitheater.
- 4:26Speaker 3: That's going to be interesting to see.
- 4:27Speaker 4: I know, construction on that's going to start this summer.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have waived child support while
- 4:34Speaker 2: they finalized their divorce. They entered the agreement that was
- 4:38Speaker 2: filed in court yesterday. I really thought they were going
- 4:42Speaker 2: to maybe work this out. I didn't think they were
- 4:43Speaker 2: actually going to get to this point.
- 4:45Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 4:46Speaker 3: I think it's too far at this point.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Yeah, So there are no child support or spousal support rights.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Each person is also responsible for their own legal fees. Also,
- 4:54Speaker 2: according to the parenting Plan, they are each required to
- 4:58Speaker 2: behave with each other and each child so as to
- 5:01Speaker 2: provide a loving, stable, consistent, and nurturing relationship with the
- 5:05Speaker 2: child even though they are divorced. It literally says on
- 5:09Speaker 2: the legal paper they can't talk bad about each other
- 5:11Speaker 2: to their kids. So that makes me wonder what happened
- 5:15Speaker 2: if they had to have that put in legal paper.
- 5:18Speaker 4: What are they mad about it?
- 5:20Speaker 3: I want to put it in there.
- 5:21Speaker 2: I know Nicole gets them three hundred and six days
- 5:24Speaker 2: of the year and Keith gets them fifty nine.
- 5:26Speaker 4: Days out of the year. I hate to hear that.
- 5:29Speaker 2: And speaking of divorces, we made it past. The riskiest
- 5:31Speaker 2: day of the year for relationships. January fifth was known
- 5:35Speaker 2: as divorce day because lawyers see such a spike and
- 5:37Speaker 2: people looking to split from their spouse that day.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Why, I don't know.
- 5:43Speaker 4: New Year Knew Year.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Also, there's a dating site called Illicit Encounters and they
- 5:48Speaker 2: report that's the same day that most people sign.
- 5:50Speaker 4: Up for the site. They get a thirty eight percent
- 5:53Speaker 4: spike in members.
- 5:54Speaker 3: That is, those two should not be going together like this.
- 5:58Speaker 4: Well, we made it. We made it, and I go
- 6:00Speaker 4: to prep for Valentine's Day. That's three things you need to.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Know more at the Alabama Show dot com The Alabama.
- 6:06Speaker 7: Show onto Me. It's free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Caleb, Good morning, what's your issue for Ask Alabama?
- 6:13Speaker 8: I love my girlfriend, but she wants to get married
- 6:16Speaker 8: and have kids and I don't.
- 6:18Speaker 4: I know. That's why we do ask Alabama.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Hopefully we can help you, and if we can't, we'll
- 6:24Speaker 2: get somebody else to call and give you advice. Eight
- 6:26Speaker 2: three three five I one Bama is the number if
- 6:28Speaker 2: you ever have an issue.
- 6:29Speaker 4: So what's going on? Tell me about you and your girlfriend?
- 6:32Speaker 8: Yeah, my girlfriend and I have been in a great,
- 6:34Speaker 8: loving relationship since twenty eighteen, so seven years or so, okay,
- 6:40Speaker 8: and we really just don't agree on the marriage and
- 6:42Speaker 8: kids issue.
- 6:43Speaker 3: You know, there's nothing wrong with her. I think she's great.
- 6:45Speaker 8: I just personally don't think that marriage and kids is
- 6:47Speaker 8: a life that.
- 6:48Speaker 3: I want, Okay.
- 6:50Speaker 1: I don't want her to wait for.
- 6:51Speaker 3: Me to change my mind because I already know that
- 6:53Speaker 3: I never will.
- 6:54Speaker 2: And y'all have had this conversation before, so I'm assuming, Well,
- 6:58Speaker 2: what do you like if you broke up, if you
- 7:00Speaker 2: don't marry her, like, how would you.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Feel it would be hard?
- 7:03Speaker 8: I mean it'd be really hard in the long run,
- 7:05Speaker 8: but also committing to a life that.
- 7:07Speaker 3: I don't want feels wrong, right, Yeah, So I don't know.
- 7:11Speaker 3: I don't know what to do.
- 7:13Speaker 8: I don't know if I'm being selfish by staying. I'm
- 7:15Speaker 8: just wondering if anybody else is dealt with this.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Pruci blake, what would you do if you knew, like
- 7:20Speaker 2: you have a girlfriend right now, if you knew you
- 7:22Speaker 2: did not want.
- 7:22Speaker 4: To get married but she did, would you break up
- 7:25Speaker 4: or stay?
- 7:25Speaker 3: I mean you stay?
- 7:26Speaker 5: I mean you're already wanting it for the long haul.
- 7:29Speaker 5: So I don't see why it has to change.
- 7:31Speaker 4: Because she wants something. She wants.
- 7:34Speaker 2: The kids thing is a hard thing for me too,
- 7:36Speaker 2: Like do you just not want kids?
- 7:38Speaker 4: Do you think you'll ever want kids?
- 7:40Speaker 8: I don't think i'd ever want kids.
- 7:43Speaker 2: I think that you should have already breaken up with
- 7:45Speaker 2: her because it's been seven years. And the problem is
- 7:48Speaker 2: for women, and I think guys don't think about this
- 7:51Speaker 2: is we only have a certain amount of time in
- 7:54Speaker 2: our life that we can have kids, And if this
- 7:57Speaker 2: is important to her, she will resent ain't you forever?
- 8:00Speaker 2: And she will resent How old are y'all? What are
- 8:02Speaker 2: you in your in your thirties? Yeah, let her go
- 8:06Speaker 2: so she can have some freaking kids. Because if you
- 8:08Speaker 2: wait until she's forty and then break up with her
- 8:11Speaker 2: and then it's too late for her to have kids,
- 8:13Speaker 2: she will never forgive you for that.
- 8:15Speaker 3: Yeah, that's tough. That makes sense.
- 8:17Speaker 5: I mean, even if she did get with somebody else,
- 8:19Speaker 5: that does not guarantee kids.
- 8:20Speaker 3: I don't know why it has to change.
- 8:22Speaker 4: Call the show.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Have you ever been through something like this where you
- 8:25Speaker 2: were dating somebody that you loved and one of you
- 8:27Speaker 2: wanted to get married and did not want to get married?
- 8:30Speaker 2: Should Caleb break up with his girlfriend? Eight three three
- 8:33Speaker 2: five oh one, Bama is the number? That's eight three
- 8:35Speaker 2: three five oh one two two.
- 8:37Speaker 7: Sixty yellabam Michelle on to man Free on the iHeartRadio Appy.
- 8:42Speaker 9: Good morning this Robington, Rob.
- 8:44Speaker 2: What what do you think about Caleb not wanting to
- 8:48Speaker 2: get married and staying with his girlfriend?
- 8:50Speaker 9: That's not real love, okay, because it's it's it's like,
- 8:58Speaker 9: if you care about that and you love that person,
- 9:01Speaker 9: you care about your thoughts for feelings, for want, and
- 9:03Speaker 9: if she wants to.
- 9:04Speaker 4: Get married, then you do it.
- 9:06Speaker 2: And if you know you're not and you love her,
- 9:08Speaker 2: you will let her go.
- 9:10Speaker 9: Producer Blake, That's right, and Caleb needs to ask yourself.
- 9:14Speaker 9: Can he see hisself without her? Can he can he
- 9:17Speaker 9: see her with another man?
- 9:19Speaker 4: I love you, Roy?
- 9:21Speaker 3: Are you married?
- 9:22Speaker 9: I am not. I'm actually I'm from Kentucky about working, Damma.
- 9:26Speaker 9: Now I'm new to the area, but I love the show.
- 9:30Speaker 9: I listened to it.
- 9:31Speaker 4: Thank you, Ame well when you find your lady.
- 9:34Speaker 2: I hope some ladies are listening right now. Going man,
- 9:37Speaker 2: Rob sounds like the guy for me.
- 9:40Speaker 9: Well, I appreciate that. But Caleb needs to get his
- 9:43Speaker 9: back together and figure out what he wants in live
- 9:44Speaker 9: before it's over.
- 9:45Speaker 4: Thank you, Thank you for calling.
- 9:47Speaker 9: Yes, ma'am, hope you morning.
- 9:49Speaker 7: The Alabama Show Fun to man, It's amazing free on
- 9:52Speaker 7: the iHeartRadio app.
- 9:53Speaker 4: Caleb wants to know if he should break up with
- 9:55Speaker 4: his girlfriend.
- 9:56Speaker 2: That he's been with for seven years because he knows
- 9:58Speaker 2: he never wants to get married and have.
- 10:00Speaker 4: But she does.
- 10:01Speaker 3: It doesn't make any sense why you need to break up.
- 10:03Speaker 4: Over this because he's wait. I'm going to read you
- 10:06Speaker 4: the comments on Facebook.
- 10:07Speaker 2: You can always comment on The Alabama Show or join
- 10:10Speaker 2: the conversation on TikTok the Alabama show We're live right now,
- 10:13Speaker 2: Janie says he needs to be completely honest with her
- 10:16Speaker 2: so she can make her own decision moving forward. People
- 10:20Speaker 2: are getting fired up on Facebook. Kelly, good morning. What
- 10:23Speaker 2: do you think about Caleb not wanting to get married
- 10:26Speaker 2: and staying with his girlfriend?
- 10:27Speaker 9: You're wasting her time.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Let her go find her husband.
- 10:29Speaker 4: Yes, that's what I said. You can't waste a girl's time.
- 10:33Speaker 1: That's cruel exactly because there's only a certain window.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Where they want to have children, and after a certain point,
- 10:40Speaker 2: women can't have kids anymore. But you, guys, Producer Blake,
- 10:44Speaker 2: can have kids up until you're in your sixties exactly.
- 10:48Speaker 9: So she needs to go find somebody that can love
- 10:50Speaker 9: her and want to give her what she needs.
- 10:52Speaker 4: Have you ever gone through this? I have nine good
- 10:55Speaker 4: for you. God, I would not want to be in
- 10:56Speaker 4: that situation either. Yes, I have a good day to
- 11:00Speaker 4: thank you, Kelly.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Bye bye.
- 11:02Speaker 1: It's three things you need to know you With the Elema.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Show, we're having a funeral for what Birmingham game Stop
- 11:12Speaker 2: off to eighty is closing today.
- 11:14Speaker 3: I'm getting very upset at this point.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Game Stop just announced a slew of closures across the country.
- 11:22Speaker 2: So the one off to eighty is one of those
- 11:24Speaker 2: that's going to be closing. Today is the last day,
- 11:27Speaker 2: So producer Blake, if you want to go try to
- 11:29Speaker 2: get some last minute games, now is the time. Well,
- 11:33Speaker 2: I they keep doing this, I just be gamer boy.
- 11:36Speaker 3: Yeah, I want to go. I'm gonna. I might go by,
- 11:39Speaker 3: I might go by to day.
- 11:40Speaker 4: I think good.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Star Search is becoming a new Netflix reboot and they
- 11:45Speaker 2: announced the judges.
- 11:46Speaker 4: Do you remember Star Search or are you too young
- 11:48Speaker 4: for that?
- 11:49Speaker 3: I don't. I've never heard of.
- 11:50Speaker 2: This was a very popular show that was like in
- 11:55Speaker 2: the eighties and nineties. Anyway, it is getting a reboot.
- 11:58Speaker 2: It will be on Netflix. The judges are going to
- 12:01Speaker 2: be Jelly Roll Sarah, Michelle Geller, and Chrissy Teagan.
- 12:05Speaker 4: This is going to premiere January twentieth on Netflix.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Episodes will air live on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at eight
- 12:12Speaker 2: pm Central, and it's going to include real time voting
- 12:15Speaker 2: for viewers. It's like, it's kind of like America's Got Talent, but.
- 12:21Speaker 4: Better, but better but more awesome. Just wait for it.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Okay, pleasant sounding words are easier to remember. According to
- 12:29Speaker 2: a new study that has just come out. So, if
- 12:31Speaker 2: like you're marketing something, you want to use good sounding words.
- 12:35Speaker 2: How appealing something is becomes more appealing if you use good.
- 12:38Speaker 4: Words to describe it.
- 12:40Speaker 2: So like, for example, some of the words that people
- 12:43Speaker 2: like are harmony, lullaby or melody. Like if you listen
- 12:48Speaker 2: to The Alabama Show, Alabama's voice sounds like a lullaby.
- 12:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:55Speaker 2: Some of the words that people do not like our drudge,
- 12:57Speaker 2: blunt or moist. What like for example, your favorite coffee
- 13:03Speaker 2: place will describe their drinks as creamy and smooth, not
- 13:06Speaker 2: icy and moist.
- 13:07Speaker 3: I think I'd prefer moist over stop any of that.
- 13:11Speaker 3: Stop I hate I know.
- 13:14Speaker 2: Anyway, if you're like, if you're one of those people
- 13:17Speaker 2: on the TikTok shop trying to sell things and you're
- 13:19Speaker 2: trying to describe the words the products that you're selling,
- 13:22Speaker 2: just use lullaby or melody. Make sure you use good
- 13:25Speaker 2: words are harmony. That's three things you need to know.
- 13:29Speaker 2: More at The Alabama Show.
- 13:31Speaker 7: Dot com, the Alabama Show on demand free on the
- 13:35Speaker 7: iHeartRadio app.
- 13:36Speaker 4: Here's a good news.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Story for today producing Blake Art bringing home a mountain
- 13:41Speaker 2: resort employee found a lost engagement ring after it fell
- 13:45Speaker 2: from the skybridge during a proposal. We were just talking
- 13:48Speaker 2: about things yesterday that could go wrong tearing a proposal.
- 13:52Speaker 4: They dropped the engagement ring.
- 13:53Speaker 3: That is the worst.
- 13:55Speaker 4: Yes, there's a huge.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Suspension bridge in northern Michigan that you can walk a cross,
- 14:00Speaker 2: called the Skybridge. A guy named Trevor proposed to his
- 14:04Speaker 2: girlfriend Danielle, and in the middle of it, he dropped
- 14:07Speaker 2: the ring off the bridge. An employee at the resort
- 14:11Speaker 2: promised them that he would find it, and he did.
- 14:13Speaker 2: He took a metal detector and found it. Listen to
- 14:16Speaker 2: all of them talk about this.
- 14:18Speaker 5: We start walking across the bridge and I stopped and
- 14:21Speaker 5: I got down on one knee and asked her to
- 14:24Speaker 5: marry me.
- 14:24Speaker 3: And when I went to go get the ring out
- 14:26Speaker 3: of the box, mind you, I'm shaken up. I looked down,
- 14:29Speaker 3: like not a good idea, And yeah, I dropped the ring.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Could you imagine if that was you proposing and he
- 14:38Speaker 2: lost the ring off of a big bridge.
- 14:40Speaker 5: I'd probably be down there searching for it myself.
- 14:43Speaker 3: But I don't know how anyone goes. You know what,
- 14:45Speaker 3: I'll marry you.
- 14:46Speaker 2: With ringett No now, Yeah, now you know, don't do
- 14:49Speaker 2: it on a bridge, but they found it, so that's
- 14:51Speaker 2: what's awesome.
- 14:53Speaker 7: The Alabama Show on demand's free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 14:56Speaker 2: I'm about to do the most hillbilly science experiment that
- 14:59Speaker 2: ever live.
- 15:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I felt you'd do this more often than you
- 15:03Speaker 3: like to admit. Oh no, it is amplified.
- 15:06Speaker 2: So, by the way, thank you for listening to The
- 15:08Speaker 2: Alabama Show. I'm Alabama with producer Blake. I always talk
- 15:12Speaker 2: about the chickens and birds that I have.
- 15:14Speaker 4: I live in the country. All of my neighbors are very.
- 15:16Speaker 2: Country and you know how yesterday I was talking about
- 15:20Speaker 2: I had given my neighbor a rooster and then he
- 15:23Speaker 2: had gotten these birds that are called guineas. And if
- 15:27Speaker 2: you don't know what guineas are, google them. It's like
- 15:30Speaker 2: a different kind of weird, loud, funky looking bird. You
- 15:32Speaker 2: know what I'm talking about. Yes, So the rooster that
- 15:36Speaker 2: had keys in my neighbor stays with the guineas and
- 15:40Speaker 2: started mating at guinea yes correct.
- 15:44Speaker 4: And I was like, it's okay, they can't have babies.
- 15:46Speaker 2: They're not the same type of bird. And he's just
- 15:48Speaker 2: having fun. It'll never happen. And they're like, I don't know, Well,
- 15:52Speaker 2: I googled it yesterday. They can, they can, they.
- 15:58Speaker 4: Will look at this.
- 15:59Speaker 2: I pull it up.
- 16:00Speaker 4: It's a literal hybrid of a guinea and a chicken.
- 16:04Speaker 3: That is the weirdest looking animal I think I've ever seen.
