The Last Airbender w/ Abby Govindan
A bold and brave pick from comedian and writer Abby Govindan - The Last Airbender is the M. Night Shyamalan directed live action adaptation of the beloved Avatar: The Last Airbender television series. At an abysmal 5% on Rotten Tomatoes, Abby defends it as "avant-garde" and we get into a surprisingly deep discussion on race in filmmaking.
*Disclaimer: In the episode we mention that there is only one East Asian cast member in the movie, however there are a number of others who feature in small roles.
