Latest / The Mark Simone Show / Hour 2: Trouble coming for George Soros.
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Mark Simoney's back on seventeen wor.
- 0:07Speaker 2: It's a beautiful hey, warm summer like day to day. Hey,
- 0:11Speaker 2: we got a lot to get to this hour. We'll
- 0:14Speaker 2: get the Rodney dangerfield coming up, We'll get to Colbert
- 0:18Speaker 2: and a whole lot. We'll get to twenty twenty eight. So, hey,
- 0:21Speaker 2: the latest on Iran. You know, the President all weekend
- 0:24Speaker 2: threatening Iran. They better get moving fast, he says, or
- 0:27Speaker 2: they will be obliterated. Well, Iran just offered a new
- 0:31Speaker 2: fourteen point peace proposal using Pakistan as the mediator. Again.
- 0:37Speaker 2: They just offered up this fourteen point piece proposal. Then
- 0:41Speaker 2: us looking through it right now, we'll see, but otherwise
- 0:45Speaker 2: expect some expect some combat action, some bombing, some fighting
- 0:51Speaker 2: within the next few days. If this proposal isn't isn't
- 0:54Speaker 2: right now, all you've been hearing about, from al Gore
- 1:00Speaker 2: to that little Greta Thunberg is that we're all gonna die.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Climate change is gonna wipe us all out. That's going
- 1:07Speaker 2: to be the end of the world. It'll get so hot,
- 1:09Speaker 2: everything will melt, freeze, drop the ocean will You can
- 1:14Speaker 2: go back and watch these videos. There's an ABC News
- 1:16Speaker 2: story in two thousand and eight about how Manhattan will
- 1:19Speaker 2: be underwater twenty fifteen or something like that. And get
- 1:24Speaker 2: the al Gore film An Inconvenient Truth. It's about twenty
- 1:29Speaker 2: years old. Now get this al Gore film and watch
- 1:31Speaker 2: it now you'll laugh your head off. Everything he predicts
- 1:34Speaker 2: is not only wrong, but the exact opposite happened. The
- 1:38Speaker 2: glacier will be gone, the glacier is actually bigger. There'll
- 1:41Speaker 2: be no more polar bears. There's actually more polar bears.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Everything he predicted that film is wrong. But the leader
- 1:47Speaker 2: of all this, the official body that runs all of
- 1:49Speaker 2: this climate nonsense, is the UN Climate Committee. That's like
- 1:53Speaker 2: the Academy of Motion Picture Arts ands like they're in charge.
- 1:59Speaker 2: So the UN Climate Committee is now very quietly saying
- 2:06Speaker 2: they've announced it very quietly that they were wrong about
- 2:10Speaker 2: the climate alarmism nonsense. The green news scheme were called
- 2:17Speaker 2: the IPCC worst case scenarios that included significant global temperature increases,
- 2:24Speaker 2: sea level rises, global crop failures, even potential extinction events
- 2:30Speaker 2: on the scale of dinosaurs. The two scenarios they had
- 2:34Speaker 2: RCP eight point five and later SSP five DASH eight
- 2:41Speaker 2: point five. That's the ones that projected the severe global
- 2:44Speaker 2: warming outcomes. They came up with all these scientific sounding names.
- 2:49Speaker 2: All right, They now admit that the scenarios are being
- 2:53Speaker 2: phased out, that the researchers have concluded it no longer
- 2:59Speaker 2: refered flex a plausible trajectory based on renewable energy growth,
- 3:05Speaker 2: emission trends, and climate policies. They now admit for the
- 3:09Speaker 2: twenty first century, this range is going to be a
- 3:13Speaker 2: lot smaller than assessed before. So they're given up on
- 3:17Speaker 2: this climate emergency nonsense. President Trump responded to this, it's
- 3:22Speaker 2: the greatest con job ever perpetrated on the world. In
- 3:26Speaker 2: my opinion, all these predictions and many others, often for
- 3:31Speaker 2: very bad reasons, were totally wrong. Now, the main reason
- 3:36Speaker 2: they pushed to all of this nonsense was the Green scheme,
- 3:40Speaker 2: and it was a real thing. It was to get
- 3:44Speaker 2: money for their groups that they wanted to give money to.
- 3:48Speaker 2: It was a good thing to use to change government policies,
- 3:53Speaker 2: to change laws. It was a great thing to use
- 3:56Speaker 2: to take more control over people and industries. But the
- 4:00Speaker 2: official body that runs all of this now admitting they
- 4:05Speaker 2: were wrong. It's all wrong. It's it's not anything like
- 4:09Speaker 2: they claimed it would be. So there's no reason for
- 4:11Speaker 2: the green scheme anymore, no reason to take total control
- 4:15Speaker 2: of industries and all of that stuff. So, you know
- 4:21Speaker 2: the problem with these socialists when they want to tax
- 4:23Speaker 2: you to death, they start with it's just for the billionaires,
- 4:27Speaker 2: it's just for the zillionaires, it's for the one percent,
- 4:29Speaker 2: it's for the people over making over five million a year.
- 4:32Speaker 2: You know. It starts that way. That's how they get
- 4:34Speaker 2: it into action, and once it's there, they just lower
- 4:40Speaker 2: the number every so often, so that affects everybody. You know,
- 4:43Speaker 2: Biden would say, nobody make it under four hundred thousand
- 4:45Speaker 2: dollars will be get a tax increase. Well, next thing
- 4:49Speaker 2: you know, it's three hundred. Next thing you know, it's
- 4:51Speaker 2: two hundred. So it's happening right now with this Pieta
- 4:53Speaker 2: tear at tax, which is a ridiculous, preposterous tax that
- 4:58Speaker 2: totally illogical, unethic and doesn't really bring in that much money.
- 5:02Speaker 2: But you know what Hokeel did is she got everybody
- 5:05Speaker 2: convinced to do this Pierre to tear at tax. It
- 5:07Speaker 2: would only be for that's an apartment where you don't
- 5:10Speaker 2: live in the city. It's just an apartment. You keep
- 5:12Speaker 2: here to use occasionally. The idea was, it's only apartments
- 5:16Speaker 2: five million or more. That's it, five million or more.
- 5:21Speaker 2: We look at this now she's talking about going to
- 5:24Speaker 2: lower it to one million. It was five million. I
- 5:28Speaker 2: could see lowering it to four million. It's going to
- 5:30Speaker 2: go from five million to one million. And she's talking
- 5:33Speaker 2: about what a big increase that is. But if you
- 5:36Speaker 2: lower it to one million, it hits just about every
- 5:39Speaker 2: apartment in Manhattan Brooklyn, They're all one million up. So
- 5:43Speaker 2: this is the con this is how it works. You
- 5:45Speaker 2: talking about this five million dollar pieta tear at tax,
- 5:48Speaker 2: and then once you get it in the language, once
- 5:51Speaker 2: you get it there, you lower it to one million.
- 5:53Speaker 2: It could expect it could affect about ten thousand homes.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Lowering the cutoff is more and more ridiculous. Hokla, Mom,
- 6:02Speaker 2: Donnie are also talking about just going crazy increasing property
- 6:06Speaker 2: tax for everybody everybody, absolutely ridiculous. And at the same
- 6:12Speaker 2: time they're cutting. You know, he brags about getting the
- 6:15Speaker 2: budget done. There were cuts in there. He very quietly.
- 6:21Speaker 2: They cut one hundred uniformed officers that patrol the parks,
- 6:26Speaker 2: and one hundred is like one third of the uniformed
- 6:29Speaker 2: people in the park. Well, a lot of people need protection.
- 6:32Speaker 2: You need the officers in those parks. So he's gotten
- 6:35Speaker 2: rid of one third of them very quietly. Hey, President
- 6:39Speaker 2: Trump has taken out a big political enemy or two
- 6:43Speaker 2: in the past, but this weekend he took out a
- 6:46Speaker 2: big one. Bill Cassidy, the senator is gone. He was
- 6:50Speaker 2: a big Republican, but a big Trump foe. He even
- 6:54Speaker 2: voted for Trump's impeachment. And he's been there a senator
- 6:58Speaker 2: for solid Republican senator. Well, President Trump went after him,
- 7:03Speaker 2: targeted him when endorsed the opponent. Cassidy is out, barely
- 7:07Speaker 2: got any votes in the Republican primary. Senator Thomas Massey
- 7:12Speaker 2: is next. He will take him out next. They're already
- 7:16Speaker 2: campaigning against him. These are It's one thing to oppost
- 7:20Speaker 2: Trump on a certain bill, on a certain policy, but
- 7:23Speaker 2: to vote for his impeachment you deserve to be taken out.
- 7:27Speaker 2: So Massey, out of all the Republicans that vote in
- 7:30Speaker 2: that primary, mass he only got about twenty four percent
- 7:32Speaker 2: of I mean that Cassidy only got about twenty four
- 7:36Speaker 2: percent of them. So a big sitting Republican senator didn't
- 7:40Speaker 2: even come close to winning a primary. It's the first
- 7:43Speaker 2: time this has ever happened to a sitting US senator,
- 7:48Speaker 2: so that Trump coattails are very very strong at the moment.
- 7:53Speaker 2: If people always say, why don't they go after George Soros,
- 7:56Speaker 2: why don't they go after you know, a lot of
- 7:57Speaker 2: this stuff with the socialist getting elected, with these crazy
- 8:01Speaker 2: left wing das that won't put anybody in jail. This
- 8:04Speaker 2: is all orchestrated and funded by evil billionaires. George Soros
- 8:09Speaker 2: is the poster boy for all of this, but there's others.
- 8:12Speaker 2: There's Neville Roy Singman who's been funding a lot of
- 8:16Speaker 2: this crap. He funds these evil left wing kooks so
- 8:19Speaker 2: they can run. He funds the riots, he funds the protesters.
- 8:23Speaker 2: He's tough to touch because he's in Singapore. He does
- 8:27Speaker 2: it from over there. Soros is here, easier to touch.
- 8:30Speaker 2: They keep talking about it. I hope they'll actually do this,
- 8:33Speaker 2: but they're talking about going after Soros because it's not
- 8:37Speaker 2: just Alvin Bragg here in New York. Soros lives here
- 8:39Speaker 2: in New York. But he's funded like twenty six of
- 8:42Speaker 2: these crazy left wing district attorneys and gotten them elected.
- 8:46Speaker 2: And if you want to get a district attorney elected.
- 8:49Speaker 2: It's pretty cheap. Those aren't expensive races. You know, if
- 8:51Speaker 2: you can give him a couple million, you can win
- 8:53Speaker 2: a DA's race with a couple millions. So he's done
- 8:56Speaker 2: this in twenty six cities, put in lunatics who let
- 8:59Speaker 2: all the crimminals out, and a lot of attorneys like Adershowitz,
- 9:03Speaker 2: people like that have said, get this guy on trial,
- 9:05Speaker 2: ask him. Why are you funding people in other states
- 9:08Speaker 2: that have nothing to do with you. What's your purpose here?
- 9:10Speaker 2: So President Trump now talking about really going after Soros, and.
- 9:15Speaker 1: We're going to look into saus because I think it's
- 9:16Speaker 1: a reco case against him and other people.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Because this is more than like protests. This is real agitation.
- 9:23Speaker 2: This is riots on the street. Now, that'll be great
- 9:28Speaker 2: if that happens. What about twenty twenty eight. You got
- 9:31Speaker 2: all these people making noise, Gavin Newsom, you got a
- 9:36Speaker 2: lot of them. Now, Kamala Harris looks like she's running
- 9:38Speaker 2: in twenty twenty eight again, possible she is. Sometimes you
- 9:41Speaker 2: do that just to get yourself some jobs and some
- 9:44Speaker 2: contracts and some deals. If they think you're going to
- 9:46Speaker 2: be president, they'd love to put you on the board
- 9:49Speaker 2: or pay you some money. Buddha j Edge, the most
- 9:52Speaker 2: untalented guy with the thinnest resume ever he wants to run. Now,
- 9:58Speaker 2: what about all that redistricting that's going to hurt democrats
- 10:02Speaker 2: BOTHA Jedge.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Last month you called Republican efforts to redistrict cheating.
- 10:07Speaker 3: Are Democrats also cheating?
- 10:09Speaker 2: Well, let's be very clear.
- 10:10Speaker 1: About what's going on right now, which is a systematic
- 10:13Speaker 1: effort to dismantle black political representation in the House of Representatives.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Now, of course that's ridiculous, that's not what it is.
- 10:20Speaker 2: But here's the problem. If these Buddha Jedge type Democrats
- 10:24Speaker 2: keep pushing the race card, you know want, in doubt
- 10:26Speaker 2: play the race card. But if they make race such
- 10:28Speaker 2: a big issue, well that's going to help Kamala Harris
- 10:33Speaker 2: get the nomination. If they keep pushing this race stuff,
- 10:36Speaker 2: how are you going to not have Kamala Harris be
- 10:38Speaker 2: the nominee. It's a Republican dream to have her be
- 10:42Speaker 2: the nominee all over again. And remember what a bumbling,
- 10:45Speaker 2: ridiculous candidate she was and how many gaffes and bad
- 10:49Speaker 2: interviews and disastrous debates she did. But also remember the
- 10:56Speaker 2: twenty twenty four race was like eleven weeks for her.
- 10:59Speaker 2: It was just a race. Remember she was given the
- 11:01Speaker 2: nomination at the last second, only had a few weeks
- 11:04Speaker 2: to run. This would be different. She'd have to get
- 11:07Speaker 2: the nomination very early. She'd have to run in the primary,
- 11:10Speaker 2: so this would be like a year of running. She
- 11:14Speaker 2: made enough gaps in ten weeks, imagine fifty two weeks.
- 11:17Speaker 2: How many gaps and how many bad interviews. So if
- 11:20Speaker 2: they keep pushing this and they end up with her,
- 11:23Speaker 2: it is going to be disastrous. Now you'll have other
- 11:26Speaker 2: people jump in there and try. You'll have the Corey
- 11:28Speaker 2: Bookers and all the low IQ types run. Trump calls
- 11:33Speaker 2: them democrats and certainly Actually that's the other thing with
- 11:37Speaker 2: Kamala Harris, she's like the most famous democrat of all. Hey,
- 11:43Speaker 2: this is the final week of Colbert. He goes away
- 11:46Speaker 2: Thursday night. If you watched that, you ever watched that? Idiot?
- 11:49Speaker 2: John Oliver with his twelve viewers on HBO, did a
- 11:54Speaker 2: gushing tribute to Colbert Kimmel the same thing, fallin the
- 11:58Speaker 2: same thing. In fact, all these guys fallon and Kimmel
- 12:01Speaker 2: will run reruns on Thursday night so as not to
- 12:04Speaker 2: compete with the final show of Colbert, it's going to
- 12:07Speaker 2: be apparently they're planning a real angry, bitter, ti rate
- 12:12Speaker 2: of a show Thursday Night. It's going to be an
- 12:16Speaker 2: ugly and nasty attack on Trump on CBS, on half
- 12:21Speaker 2: of America. Just an angry, nasty, vicious show. Now you'll
- 12:26Speaker 2: notice he's been fired with six months notice or more.
- 12:31Speaker 2: You'll notice nobody has come forward to offer him a job.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Have you ever read anything about NABC saying will take them, NBC,
- 12:40Speaker 2: will take them, HBO, Netflix, nobody's offered him anything. So
- 12:45Speaker 2: we'll see what happens when he goes off the air.
- 12:47Speaker 2: He'll probably end up doing a Conan O'Brien type podcast.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Maybe he'll be able to con HBO or somebody into
- 12:56Speaker 2: giving him a once a week Bill Maher type deal,
- 12:58Speaker 2: but I doubt it. You know, he's he's going off
- 13:01Speaker 2: the air because it loses money. He's going to tell
- 13:03Speaker 2: you on Thursday that he's going off the air because
- 13:06Speaker 2: of political pressure from the Trump administration. Well, it wouldn't
- 13:09Speaker 2: take any political pressure. His show loses forty to fifty
- 13:13Speaker 2: million a year. Who the hell would keep it on
- 13:15Speaker 2: the air. In fact, political pressure probably kept it on
- 13:19Speaker 2: the last few years. Why did they stick with a
- 13:21Speaker 2: show losing forty to fifty million a year with no ratings.
- 13:24Speaker 2: But Thursday night'll be the final night. Hey, you know
- 13:27Speaker 2: about Eurovision. Eurovision is the biggest television show in the
- 13:31Speaker 2: world every year. It's all over the world. We don't
- 13:34Speaker 2: see it here in America, but Eurovision is all the
- 13:37Speaker 2: countries of Europe and it's a big It's like an
- 13:40Speaker 2: American idol on steroids. It's a monster show. Hundreds of
- 13:44Speaker 2: millions of people, maybe a billion people watch it. And
- 13:48Speaker 2: if you win Eurovision the talent contest, you're on your
- 13:51Speaker 2: way to superstart him. A lot of people came out
- 13:54Speaker 2: of Eurovision. That's where they were discovered, Abba, Celine Dion,
- 14:00Speaker 2: many more so. Guess who won this year? Dara Bulgarian,
- 14:04Speaker 2: first time a Bulgarian entry one. But Dara's the winner
- 14:09Speaker 2: of Eurovision this year. That sounds great to me, But
- 14:13Speaker 2: what do I know? Doesn't sound so great to me.
- 14:16Speaker 2: But by the end of the summer, expect to hear
- 14:18Speaker 2: on Z one hundred or somewhere again. A lot of
- 14:22Speaker 2: big names have come out of a Eurovision. Hey, we'll
- 14:25Speaker 2: take some calls next eight hundred three to two one
- 14:29Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number eight hundred three two
- 14:32Speaker 2: one zero seven ten.
- 14:35Speaker 1: You're ahead of the game just for being here. Heyce
- 14:39Speaker 1: marks themone on seven tenor.
- 14:43Speaker 2: Hey, we'll take some calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 14:47Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number eight hundred three two
- 14:51Speaker 2: one zero seven ten. Hey, Michael, the Michael movie. Michael
- 14:55Speaker 2: Jackson the movie back at number one. Knocked out the
- 14:58Speaker 2: Devilwares product that had been number one for a while.
- 15:02Speaker 2: This Michael movie big success. It's heading towards a billion dollars.
- 15:06Speaker 2: It's going to make a billion dollars very soon. Let's
- 15:10Speaker 2: take some calls. Let's go to Joanne and Florida. Joanne,
- 15:13Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 15:14Speaker 3: H Ri Mark doing well? So I had a question
- 15:17Speaker 3: for you because you're so knowledgeable.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Uh huh.
- 15:20Speaker 4: How come we're only called racist when we didn't vote
- 15:24Speaker 4: for Kamala, but yet no one was called a racist
- 15:27Speaker 4: when they didn't vote for the women who ran in
- 15:31Speaker 4: Virginia women.
- 15:32Speaker 3: I think her name is Winston Earl Sears, who's a
- 15:35Speaker 3: brilliant black woman.
- 15:37Speaker 4: I mean, you have one person say the people in
- 15:39Speaker 4: Virginia were racist.
- 15:41Speaker 2: Yeah, it's uh, well, that's why they call it playing
- 15:43Speaker 2: the race card, dealing it from the bottom of the deck.
- 15:45Speaker 2: It's uh, it's it's only used as a weapon.
- 15:49Speaker 3: Uh, it's against Republican blacks.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Yeah, no, no, listen. It's the double standard, the hypocrisy
- 15:58Speaker 2: Democrats are famous for. That's their trademark, that double standard,
- 16:02Speaker 2: total hypocrisy on everything. Where are you in Florida?
- 16:06Speaker 3: The villages? We've spoken before.
- 16:08Speaker 2: Oh, and what do you do there in the villages
- 16:10Speaker 2: all day? Shuffle boarder, pickle ball, anything I want? So
- 16:17Speaker 2: I hear these stories about the villages that all these
- 16:19Speaker 2: old old men are running around sleeping with all these
- 16:22Speaker 2: old women. Is that really going down there?
- 16:25Speaker 1: Oh?
- 16:25Speaker 3: I hear the old men and sleeping with the young women.
- 16:28Speaker 2: Oh, but apparently there's a social disease problem in the
- 16:33Speaker 2: villages and other where. You've heard that, right, I've heard it.
- 16:37Speaker 3: I don't know. You know, I'm married and I'm not
- 16:40Speaker 3: looking for anybody else. Well you're Yeah, when someone's husband
- 16:46Speaker 3: passed the way and another man tries to date them,
- 16:50Speaker 3: we say they're just looking for a nurse and a purse.
- 16:53Speaker 2: All right, I like that. But there's a that would
- 16:56Speaker 2: be a great soap opera about the villages nobody wants
- 16:59Speaker 2: to watch a cast that old. But all right, thanks
- 17:01Speaker 2: for calling. Let's go to John and Queen's John. How
- 17:04Speaker 2: you doing all right?
- 17:06Speaker 1: I'm doing good.
- 17:06Speaker 5: I want to talk to you about Columbia. You think
- 17:08Speaker 5: Colbier is going to be back on.
- 17:10Speaker 2: The ever again Colbert back on the air on broadcast TV. No,
- 17:15Speaker 2: he loses too much money, too low rated.
- 17:17Speaker 1: No, I like to see him back on their I
- 17:19Speaker 1: don't know about the new show, notts take to this place.
- 17:22Speaker 2: Why do you want to see him back?
- 17:24Speaker 1: Well, the new show. I don't like the new show,
- 17:26Speaker 1: not much.
- 17:27Speaker 2: You didn't even see it yet.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I did a couple of ree shows.
- 17:32Speaker 2: But you like Colbert. You're a Colbert fan.
- 17:35Speaker 1: I like Colbier.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Yeah you don't think he's a little angry, vicious, one sided? No, No,
- 17:42Speaker 2: I like Cormbier a lot. Okay, Well, if anybody's.
- 17:46Speaker 5: Ever won, I watched he was good too.
- 17:50Speaker 2: If you're wondering who the hell would watch Colbert, it's
- 17:52Speaker 2: this guy. That's the guy.
- 17:54Speaker 4: Uh.
- 17:55Speaker 2: The new show replacing it is Byron Allen, who's been
- 17:59Speaker 2: producing the show. While it's a bunch of you have
- 18:01Speaker 2: watched Gutfeld. It's kind of a Gutfeld, it's going to
- 18:05Speaker 2: be a bunch of comedians and chairs all making jokes
- 18:07Speaker 2: about stuff. Now. Byron Allen has said there will be
- 18:10Speaker 2: no politics on the show, nothing political, nothing topical. They'll
- 18:16Speaker 2: be making a million jokes about everything, but nothing political,
- 18:19Speaker 2: nothing topical. Byron Allen is the comedian who became a
- 18:23Speaker 2: billionaire through very smart business decisions, and this is a
- 18:28Speaker 2: very smart business decision. Why well, nothing topical, nothing political.
- 18:33Speaker 2: It means these shows can go into reruns forever. Nothing
- 18:37Speaker 2: will get outdated. Their wife jokes, you know, mother in
- 18:40Speaker 2: law jokes, those kind of jokes, jokes about their kids.
- 18:43Speaker 2: It is not going to be topical. They'll make a
- 18:46Speaker 2: fortune rerunning these things forever and ever. It's also cheap.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Colbert's expensive. You got a big orchestra, you got two
- 18:52Speaker 2: hundred people in the audience, you gotta bands coming in,
- 18:56Speaker 2: you gotta have a huge crew. There's one hundred and
- 18:58Speaker 2: twenty people in the crew. Is like Guttfeld, which has
- 19:01Speaker 2: a staff of like twelve, you know, it's it's five
- 19:04Speaker 2: or six chairs and the tiny audience. And that's it.
- 19:07Speaker 2: So it'll debut. I guess Friday, Yeah, Colbert Go's f
- 19:10Speaker 2: Thursday The Byron Allen Shows Ready to go. It will
- 19:13Speaker 2: debut Friday night. Let's go to Lou and Union, New Jersey. Lou,
- 19:17Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 19:19Speaker 5: Yeah? How you doing? Simon?
- 19:20Speaker 2: I've been listening to Stun and there's a lot of
- 19:23Speaker 2: commercials on his radio show. Who how It's done? Yeah?
- 19:29Speaker 2: Not a lot.
- 19:29Speaker 5: Yeah, and.
- 19:31Speaker 2: It's not a lot. He does like forty minute segments
- 19:33Speaker 2: without a break. Well, there's a lot of in his contract.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Is there a gain much less money? Yeah, much much
- 19:41Speaker 2: less money. He's resigned. It looked like he wouldn't be resigned.
- 19:44Speaker 2: He resigned for another I think it's three years for
- 19:47Speaker 2: a lot less money, but the dealers will do a
- 19:49Speaker 2: lot less work. He went from five days to four
- 19:51Speaker 2: days in one contract. Then when they cut him again,
- 19:53Speaker 2: he went to three days. And he also goes from
- 19:57Speaker 2: you know, forty five weeks a year to like thirty five.
- 20:00Speaker 2: So this new contract figure one or two days a week,
- 20:04Speaker 2: twenty five weeks a year. He won't be on that much,
- 20:06Speaker 2: but they got a huge archive so they can keep
- 20:08Speaker 2: running those reruns. Let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent,
- 20:11Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 20:12Speaker 5: Good morning, Mark, Good morning, Mara, Marra. Your phone is
- 20:15Speaker 5: still broke. Get it fixed. Mark. In regards to this,
- 20:20Speaker 5: Pierre Tax, a former guest who would come on your
- 20:24Speaker 5: show a lot. Jake Novak this weekend said that when
- 20:29Speaker 5: Newsom and the mayor of San Francisco tried this out there,
- 20:33Speaker 5: it was ruled un constitutional on the grounds on the
- 20:36Speaker 5: equal protection clause. Because just because I live out out
- 20:40Speaker 5: of state and I happen to own a second house
- 20:43Speaker 5: in New York City, what difference is it for New York.
- 20:47Speaker 5: Let's say I own a house in Pennsylvania and in
- 20:50Speaker 5: New York, and I spent more time in Pennsylvania. You
- 20:53Speaker 5: can't tax me more money just because I don't live
- 20:58Speaker 5: at No.
- 20:59Speaker 2: It's a good point. I think that's absolutely true. Somebody's
- 21:01Speaker 2: got to take this to court. I don't think it
- 21:03Speaker 2: won't hold up in court. How much you're in your
- 21:05Speaker 2: apartment can't be the basis for.
- 21:06Speaker 5: Taxing well, Jake Novak, he had said that they already
- 21:10Speaker 5: tried this in San Francisco, and the Supreme Court out
- 21:15Speaker 5: there shout it down. What they do do in New York,
- 21:19Speaker 5: Mark is if a home is your private, primary residence,
- 21:24Speaker 5: and that's because you're in there, you're keeping your eye
- 21:27Speaker 5: on it, you're keeping more people own the homes and
- 21:31Speaker 5: living them to keeping the block safer. They'll give you
- 21:34Speaker 5: a break on your first house if you live in
- 21:37Speaker 5: it with your school taxes. Yeah they'll get but not
- 21:41Speaker 5: on your second house. That's the only thing they'll do.
- 21:44Speaker 2: But they Yeah, you're right. I think this ends up
- 21:46Speaker 2: in court and gets overturned because it's just for I mean,
- 21:49Speaker 2: if a person buys an apartment here and they don't
- 21:51Speaker 2: actually live here, there's saving us a lot of trouble.
- 21:54Speaker 2: You can't text the more. It's absolutely right, Vincent, thanks
- 21:57Speaker 2: for calling. You know, there's some people buy an apartment
- 21:59Speaker 2: in there. In that apartment every night of the year,
- 22:03Speaker 2: there's other people in the building buy an apartment. You know,
- 22:05Speaker 2: older people that retired. They travel all the time. They're
- 22:08Speaker 2: always on a trip, they're on a cruise. So half
- 22:10Speaker 2: the time they're not in the apartment. You can't tax
- 22:11Speaker 2: them differently based on that. Hey, coming up next to
- 22:16Speaker 2: Jackie Martlin, the great comedian, we're gonna talk about Rodney Dangerfield.
- 22:19Speaker 2: We touched on this last time, but if you Rodney
- 22:23Speaker 2: has become quite the YouTube star now. His videos are
- 22:25Speaker 2: all over the place and Instagram star the real Rodney.
- 22:30Speaker 2: The real Rodney is a fascinating case. We'll take a
- 22:33Speaker 2: look at that in a moment. On seven to ten,
- 22:36Speaker 2: wor give woor a bre said on the iHeartRadio app
- 22:41Speaker 2: to hear Marx Simone.
- 22:42Speaker 1: And all the wr hosts in an instance.
- 22:46Speaker 3: Now back to the Marximo Show on wor.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Hey, it's got beautiful day to day. It's gonna be
- 22:58Speaker 2: like near ninety degree. He's a sunny day. It's gonna
- 23:01Speaker 2: be ninety five tomorrow. It's gonna be like ninety three
- 23:05Speaker 2: on Wedterday. Then it gets cold. Well for this time
- 23:08Speaker 2: of year, it's gonna be like in the seventy then
- 23:10Speaker 2: it's sixty, then it's in the fifties one day, but
- 23:12Speaker 2: it's Memorial Day weekend coming up? Is that the right number?
- 23:17Speaker 2: We got him? Oh okay, I'm gonna talk to Jackie
- 23:20Speaker 2: Martling in just a second, the great comedian and I
- 23:24Speaker 2: don't forget Buck and Clay will be here at noon today.
- 23:27Speaker 2: They do a great show every day at twelve noon
- 23:30Speaker 2: and Sean Hannity right after that. He was on the
- 23:34Speaker 2: China trip with the President the whole three four days.
- 23:37Speaker 2: So he'll tell the inside story of what happened there.
- 23:41Speaker 2: That should be pretty interesting. What happened with Jackie? Can't
- 23:45Speaker 2: get him? No, the phone keeps dropping. Cell phones now,
- 23:53Speaker 2: in the good old days, if you went back and
- 23:55Speaker 2: listened to talk radio twenty years ago, it was a
- 23:58Speaker 2: landline and everything sounded perfect, everything was connected perfectly. But hey,
- 24:05Speaker 2: we got him. Jackie Martling is actually going to be
- 24:08Speaker 2: appearing a bunch of appearances August fifteenth. By the way,
- 24:11Speaker 2: He'll be at Soul Joel's at Sunnybrook Potsdown, Pennsylvania. But
- 24:16Speaker 2: the big thing is this Saturday night is a Memorial
- 24:19Speaker 2: Day weekend. This Saturday night, Jackie Martling Rich Harkaway will
- 24:24Speaker 2: be at Rodney's. Now, this is sixty first and first.
- 24:29Speaker 2: That's the old Dangerfields. It was Rodney Dangerfield's Club Dangerfields
- 24:33Speaker 2: for a million years. It's reopened, says as Rodney's. Jackie
- 24:37Speaker 2: Martlin will be appearing there Saturday night, and he's with
- 24:41Speaker 2: us right now. Jackie Martling, how you doing.
- 24:44Speaker 1: I'm doing great, man, I am looking for you know
- 24:46Speaker 1: the last time I was actually at Rodney's club. Last
- 24:50Speaker 1: time was at danger Fields. I was auditioning for Bill
- 24:54Speaker 1: Bogg's comedy Tonight. Do you remember that yeah, nineteen eighty five.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Well, I was in Dangerfields all the time. Millions of
- 25:04Speaker 2: nights at Dangerfields. That was a great comedy club and
- 25:07Speaker 2: Sunday everybody in the business would go hang out there.
- 25:09Speaker 2: And Tony Bovaco was the partner with Rodney. He was
- 25:13Speaker 2: the real owner. And they don't make clubs like that.
- 25:17Speaker 2: The old Dangerfields at the Maitre d had a tuxedo,
- 25:20Speaker 2: they had a trio, they had singers besides the comedians.
- 25:23Speaker 2: There's nothing like that right then.
- 25:24Speaker 1: The waiters were like old time New York City waiters
- 25:27Speaker 1: with the you know, with the napkin on their arm,
- 25:31Speaker 1: and they were rude and it was just so much fun,
- 25:35Speaker 1: you know.
- 25:36Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, even back in the good old days,
- 25:38Speaker 2: like Catcherizing Star. People don't realize they had a piano
- 25:41Speaker 2: player and it'd be comedians and singers would perform there.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Yeah, it was a whole damn show.
- 25:46Speaker 2: You know, it was so fun.
- 25:49Speaker 1: I want to tell you so, you know, I've been
- 25:51Speaker 1: doing commercials for this pot place out here on Long Island,
- 25:54Speaker 1: Long Island Cannabis Club. And when I was with Rodney
- 25:58Speaker 1: in the nineteen eight you know, we did a lot
- 26:01Speaker 1: of drugs and a lot of drinking and everything. And
- 26:04Speaker 1: one of the funniest things, especially now with pot being
- 26:07Speaker 1: so legal, we were at the beheamar in his penthouse
- 26:11Speaker 1: suite in Fort Lauderdale, and we're in his room and
- 26:16Speaker 1: we're out on his balcony smoking a joint and his
- 26:20Speaker 1: sixteen year old daughter came in and she sniffed and
- 26:23Speaker 1: she went, Daddy, you know, don't bug me, Melody, don't
- 26:28Speaker 1: bug me. I said, do you realize your sixteen year
- 26:31Speaker 1: old daughter just caught you smoking pot? It's supposed to
- 26:35Speaker 1: be exactly the opposite.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Yeah, Now, Jackie Marley, let's talk about the real Rodney,
- 26:41Speaker 2: because everybody loves him and we love him too. We're
- 26:43Speaker 2: not trying to put him down. But everybody looked at
- 26:45Speaker 2: him and he was seemed like a grandfatherly type of
- 26:49Speaker 2: wonderful man. But in the real Rodney was a rough
- 26:52Speaker 2: sort of a character. Was drugs.
- 26:54Speaker 1: No, No, he was a very very nice guy. Was
- 26:58Speaker 1: to laugh a minute guy, you know, he was. He
- 27:00Speaker 1: was really that down, down trodden guy that he just
- 27:05Speaker 1: didn't laugh a lot. But he's always really nice to
- 27:08Speaker 1: everybody and very generous.
- 27:09Speaker 2: He was a oh yeah, no, but I'm saying he
- 27:11Speaker 2: wasn't sitting at home reading the newspaper like.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Wow, he is a wild man, a wild wild men.
- 27:17Speaker 2: There were drugs, there were women, hookers, there was everything
- 27:20Speaker 2: going on the truth.
- 27:22Speaker 1: Yes all. When I was with him, I would say,
- 27:24Speaker 1: we checked every box. Well, I'm gonna be there this
- 27:30Speaker 1: Saturday night. I'm looking forward to it. I also, I
- 27:32Speaker 1: also just booked a cruise. Me and two of the
- 27:35Speaker 1: Long Island comedians are going to do the Long Island
- 27:38Speaker 1: communit Reunion Cruise from Fort Lauderdale starting on my birthday
- 27:43Speaker 1: in February. I never did one of those, like a
- 27:45Speaker 1: week of you know, telling jokes and hanging out with
- 27:48Speaker 1: the crowd, and it's already half sold out, like I've
- 27:52Speaker 1: never pursued it before, and I just kind of stumbled
- 27:54Speaker 1: into it. So I'm I'm very psyched, you know.
- 27:57Speaker 2: Yeah, No, it's a good thing. And a lot of
- 27:59Speaker 2: comedians now play the big, big cruise ships. It's like
- 28:01Speaker 2: the floating Las Vegas showrooms and you play these cruise ships.
- 28:05Speaker 1: And yeah, they've never hired me because I was too dirty.
- 28:08Speaker 1: Somehow they got me my own boat so I can
- 28:10Speaker 1: say whatever I want, Hey, are you gonna get.
- 28:13Speaker 2: Here that way? You're gonna be at Rodney's this Saturday night.
- 28:16Speaker 2: It's the old Dangerfields. I haven't been in there. Does
- 28:18Speaker 2: it look the same or they redo it?
- 28:20Speaker 1: From what I could tell, it looks exactly the same.
- 28:23Speaker 1: You know they were It's been going for a while.
- 28:27Speaker 1: You know. The last time I was in there, before
- 28:30Speaker 1: the time with Comedy tonight was I was sitting there
- 28:33Speaker 1: in the audience when Rodney recorded No Respect, which was
- 28:37Speaker 1: his first LP in nineteen eighty, a long time ago.
- 28:41Speaker 1: But I'm sure it looks the same. It was set
- 28:44Speaker 1: up perfectly. It was a perfect comedy club, you know,
- 28:47Speaker 1: really dark, good sound system, nice sliding on the stage.
- 28:52Speaker 1: You know it'll be great.
- 28:53Speaker 2: They got to bring back remember the major D, Bobby,
- 28:55Speaker 2: the big tough matre d.
- 28:58Speaker 1: I think they're still trying to dig a hole to
- 29:00Speaker 1: bury him. He was so big.
- 29:02Speaker 2: Number Teddy, the bartender who was there for a million years.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Yeah, he's Asian Asian guy.
- 29:09Speaker 2: Yeah, they got to bring it.
- 29:11Speaker 1: Well, Tony's still alive. I see if I could rustle
- 29:13Speaker 1: him up to come and he's like ninety three or something.
- 29:16Speaker 2: Oh, he's a great guy who lives in Long Island.
- 29:17Speaker 2: Tony Bovako was the guy that ran Dangerfields. And it
- 29:20Speaker 2: was quite a club. And remember that was the big
- 29:22Speaker 2: prom club that would prompt season. There'd be a million
- 29:24Speaker 2: white lemons.
- 29:25Speaker 1: Yeah, the comedians hated that. When the kids came in
- 29:27Speaker 1: at four o'clock in the morning, dead drunk and throwing
- 29:31Speaker 1: stuff at him. It was a hell gig, you know.
- 29:33Speaker 1: And I think it was like forty bucks. I mean,
- 29:36Speaker 1: you know, God, I was lucky enough to sidestep that.
- 29:39Speaker 5: Alright, let there some jokes, all right, go ahead.
- 29:41Speaker 1: So a guy is just waking up from anesthesia and
- 29:44Speaker 1: his wife is sitting there looking at him, and he
- 29:47Speaker 1: blinks and he says, it is so beautiful, and then
- 29:51Speaker 1: he falls back asleep and she stays there and a
- 29:54Speaker 1: couple of minutes later he opens his eyes again and
- 29:56Speaker 1: he says, you're cute. She says, what happened the beautiful?
- 30:00Speaker 1: He says, the anesthesia is wearing off. So why is
- 30:09Speaker 1: the middle part of a woman called a waste? I
- 30:14Speaker 1: hate to ask why because you can sit another boobs there.
- 30:22Speaker 1: So three three criminals are in front of a cross
- 30:25Speaker 1: eyed judge. Three criminals are in front of a cross
- 30:28Speaker 1: eyed judge. The cross eyed judge says, the first guy,
- 30:31Speaker 1: how do you plead? The second guy says, not guilty.
- 30:35Speaker 1: The judge looks at him and says, I wasn't talking
- 30:37Speaker 1: to you. The third guy says, I didn't say anything.
- 30:43Speaker 1: So a guy comes in, Oh, oh, yeah, I was choked.
- 30:52Speaker 1: A lady comes home and finds her husband in bed
- 30:55Speaker 1: with a female dwarf. She says there two weeks ago. Oh,
- 31:00Speaker 1: you promise me you'll never cheat on me again. He says, well, honey,
- 31:03Speaker 1: you must admit I'm tapering off. So A guy says
- 31:10Speaker 1: to his friend, last year for our anniversary, I took
- 31:13Speaker 1: my wife to Alaska. His friend says, what are you
- 31:16Speaker 1: going to do this year? He says, I'm thinking I
- 31:19Speaker 1: might go back and get her. Here's one you won't like.
- 31:25Speaker 1: Why should you never circumcise a camel?
- 31:30Speaker 2: Why see, I have a place to.
- 31:34Speaker 1: Put your gum in a sandstorm?
- 31:36Speaker 2: Whoa?
- 31:40Speaker 1: So a guy knocks on the door and the kid answers.
- 31:42Speaker 1: Guy says, kid, where's your mother? He says, she's out
- 31:45Speaker 1: back getting an homored a goat. The guy can't believe it.
- 31:49Speaker 1: They go out back and sure enough, there's the kid's
- 31:51Speaker 1: mother and she's getting it hom with a goat. He says, kid.
- 31:54Speaker 1: Doesn't that bother you?
- 31:55Speaker 2: He says, nah, Hey, so go see Jackie. He's going
- 32:03Speaker 2: to be what used to be danger Fields. It's now
- 32:06Speaker 2: called Rodney's. It's this Saturday Night, This Saturday night. It's
- 32:09Speaker 2: gonna be Labor Day Weekend, eight o'clock Saturday night, and
- 32:13Speaker 2: it's one show for the.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Royal Day weekend.
- 32:15Speaker 2: You're getting old, Oh, Memorial Day weekend, Memorial Day WEEKNDK.
- 32:20Speaker 1: Yeah, don't rob me out of the summer for Christ's sake.
- 32:22Speaker 2: All right, Well, this Saturday Memorial the weekend, Saturday Night,
- 32:26Speaker 2: Rodney's used to be Dangerfields. It's sixty first and first.
- 32:31Speaker 2: That's gonna be quite nice. And it's good to go
- 32:33Speaker 2: back there. It's good to see somebody who really played
- 32:35Speaker 2: the real Dangerfields too.
- 32:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I love it. And my opening act Rich Harkaway,
- 32:42Speaker 1: like he played there a long time ago. So it's
- 32:44Speaker 1: like a whole coming home thing. And know a lot
- 32:46Speaker 1: of old fires are coming, you know, a whole bunch
- 32:49Speaker 1: of people. So I'm looking forward to it.
- 32:51Speaker 2: Big show Saturday Night, Rodney's. Go online you can get
- 32:55Speaker 2: all the information. What's your website. It's jokeland dot com.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Joke land dot com. And you can, all right, So
- 33:03Speaker 1: I got one more for you. So an old couple's
- 33:07Speaker 1: having trouble remembering things, so the doctor tells him they
- 33:09Speaker 1: should start writing notes to help them remember. So one
- 33:12Speaker 1: night they're watching TV and the old guy gets up
- 33:15Speaker 1: and his wife says, hey, go and he said, I'm
- 33:18Speaker 1: going to the kitchen. She says, will you get me
- 33:21Speaker 1: some vanilla ice cream? He's all right, She said, don't
- 33:25Speaker 1: you think you should write it down? I don't have
- 33:27Speaker 1: to write it down vanilla ice cream. She said, well, back,
- 33:31Speaker 1: did I have some strawberries and whipped cream on it?
- 33:34Speaker 1: He's all right, don't they get it? Write it down?
- 33:38Speaker 1: He's I don't have to write it down. Vanilla ice
- 33:41Speaker 1: cream with strawberries and whipped cream. Twenty minutes later, he
- 33:45Speaker 1: walks in the hands or a plate of bacon and eggs.
- 33:48Speaker 1: She says, you forgot my toast. Hello to the boys
- 33:53Speaker 1: at Bayville Seafood. It is Memorial Day weekend. I already
- 33:57Speaker 1: ordered forty pounds of shrip. It's going to be a
- 33:59Speaker 1: great weekend.
- 34:00Speaker 2: Mark all right, Well, go see Jackie Martling. It's this
- 34:03Speaker 2: Saturday night. He's going to be at Rodney's. That's the club.
- 34:06Speaker 2: That was Dangerfields. It's now Rodney's sixty first and first
- 34:10Speaker 2: go see him there and go to his website Jokeland
- 34:14Speaker 2: dot com. Jackie Martling, thanks for being with.
- 34:17Speaker 1: Us, Dag you Mark. I appreciate it all right.
- 34:19Speaker 2: Take care, hey, Buck and Clay. Noon today I'm going
- 34:23Speaker 2: to be listening to Sean Hanny. I want to hear
- 34:25Speaker 2: all I mean do was the official stuff from the
- 34:28Speaker 2: China trip, the interview with the President, all these. I
- 34:30Speaker 2: want to hear the inside details about everything that happening
- 34:34Speaker 2: in China, the hotel, the plane, all this. That'll be
- 34:37Speaker 2: tonight three o'clock. Right here on seven to ten WR.
- 34:41Speaker 2: And don't forget, Curtis is back every morning. Every morning.
- 34:44Speaker 2: It's Curtis Leiwa and Larry Menty right here seven to
- 34:48Speaker 2: ten w OR. You're listening to Mark Demosha, you are well. Hey.
- 34:56Speaker 2: The Luigi Manjioni trial is going on. Prosecutors won a
- 35:01Speaker 2: big victory today. His attorneys were trying to get things
- 35:04Speaker 2: thrown out, like the gun, the manifesto in the backpack,
- 35:09Speaker 2: arguing the search was illegal, all that sort of stuff,
- 35:11Speaker 2: but judge ruled in the prosecutor's favor. The jurors will
- 35:15Speaker 2: get to see the three D printed pistol and the
- 35:19Speaker 2: alleged manifesto found in his backpack. So that's a big,
- 35:25Speaker 2: big legal victory for the prosecutors. Now, I don't know
- 35:28Speaker 2: how this guy beats the case because in Manhattan we
- 35:31Speaker 2: have surveillance cameras on every inch of every street. You
- 35:35Speaker 2: can see the video of him shooting the healthcare ceo.
- 35:38Speaker 2: You can see the video of him fleeing. It's right
- 35:41Speaker 2: across the street, right over there. He fled through that
- 35:45Speaker 2: alley there between the two buildings. So this should be
- 35:49Speaker 2: a pretty easy conviction. Trial could drag out for a while.
- 35:53Speaker 2: The Iranian president now admitting they never actually said it
- 35:57Speaker 2: out loud, but he's now admitting Iran has suffered tremendous disharm,
- 36:01Speaker 2: tremendous damage. Let's talk about us going back in. And
- 36:06Speaker 2: apparently when we do go back it could happen this week.
- 36:08Speaker 2: It'll be it's being described as full throttle, full throttle.
- 36:13Speaker 2: They will take out a lot of stuff in Iran.
- 36:16Speaker 2: Hey we're out of time, but don't go away. Buck
- 36:18Speaker 2: and Clay are here next. And then, as I said,
