- The Drama Drop: What's up guys, welcome back to the Drama Drop. This week's episode is filled with reunion drama, post-show plot twists, and honestly, a week of the week that I really just need to get off my chest. But let's not waste any more time, and the drama drops now. It was clear that Amanda Bautula took a little bit of less medication than whatever she was on for the reunion for summer house because I did watch the reunion for in the city. Okay, and I got to be honest the show wasn't really Giving to me. I mean it was kind of exciting to kind of see the fallout with Kyle Amanda when the whole scandal broke out but other than that all of the other storylines I just was not interested in. And I don't know if it's one of those things where something so big happens in the reality universe that everything else just seems very minimal and just kind of a snooze. But that's just kind of how I felt about in the city. And I really I'm going to try again. I think it got picked back up. I don't know. Do we know? Is that confirmed? I'm not entirely sure. But I will try again. But I will say I wasn't super eager every week to see a new episode drop, but I was absolutely going to tune in for the reunion. And it's really funny how this reunion was done. I think there was a couple of Vanderpump reunions done the same way. Because normally, a Bravo reunion, it's a whole production, okay? You have a whole stage, you have these huge couches, everything has a theme, it's all set up. But this reunion was done in Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live studio. So was really just like a small compact room, which I just, I don't know. I don't know. It makes it seem like, okay, do we know if this show is gonna continue? I'm not sure. Really anyways, the only reason I tuned in to the reunion to be completely honest was just to kind of get a pulse check on Amanda and Kyle because I mean, it's just interesting, right? It's very interesting. So I will say I... really still don't think Amanda did herself any favors. I felt like this was a really good opportunity for her to kind of redeem herself from what she gave on the summer house reunion because she was very defensive. You she looked very disengaged, very just having like an outer body experience. You know, she, her body was there, but nobody was inside. Like that was very clear. And I feel like this was a very good opportunity for her to kind of redeem herself or at least give us some more clarity answers, whatever. And We might've gotten some of that, but I still just feel like we're never, it's, unless there's some sort of documentary that comes out way later where she's like, okay, here's my tell all. This is the story that we're going to get. At this point, I'm over it. I don't even care anymore. Good for them. Let them live their lives, Amanda and West. They can frolic off into the distance. basically, she just, because questions about timelines came back up. and it was still was just, was no overlapping of anything. One thing, I just feel that the dynamic between Amanda and Kyle is very interesting, okay? You can, the way that they are able, maybe not so much on Kyle's end, I think that's probably just like a coping situation, but the way that Amanda just feels very unemotional about Kyle and their situation and You know, she's even talking to him about who he's going on dates with, who he's hooking up with, all these things like that, cracking little jokes. That just really does show how much she is over him. And I don't think we ever discredited her there on the type of relationship that they had and how she could have gotten emotionally detached and was mourning the relationship before it really officially ended. So no one was ever faulting her there. And I just really hope like she fully understands that because I feel like that's where lines are getting crossed and blurred. She's confusing what she did, who she chose to be with as being a fault of hers when, know, yeah, like that was it. Like that's what people are mad at her for. Not that she ended things with Kyle, not that she's not emotional. It's more who she chose to have this relationship with and who she betrayed and hurt. at end of the day. But they never, know, it's very odd. I'm like, you guys didn't really respect each other in the relationship, in the marriage, but you're able to really respect each other post relationship, post divorce is very interesting to me. You know, I don't really know the psychology behind that. But then again, too, you know, some people are just meant to be friends just because people are good people. It doesn't mean you're meant to be necessarily together. Like you could be two great individuals, but together you guys just don't mesh like you're not meant to be together. And that's fine. But it just really is very interesting with how much of a like scandal this was, how much of a buzz, how much everybody was up in arms about this whole situation, how quickly it seemed that they were able to find just a level ground where they can able to talk to each other. They're not really raising their voices. I did not see really any anger between the two of them. There was some jokes going on, some banter, just lighthearted jokes and jabs towards each other. But Amanda, she did address that she was just very used to disengaging and dissociating whenever Kyle gets angry at her. So I think that's just one of her defense mechanisms. And she did say that she was on beta blockers because Andy did have to address because he was very open and called out West Wilson. It's like, are you on something because you were just so unemotional, not present with everything that's going on and everybody is so heightened and. you two who are the main culprits of all of everything that's going on, you just are not, like there's nothing there. There's nothing to, no walls to break down. It's, you're just like stone cold. But Andy never really asked Amanda, you know, what's going on with you. She did confirm that she was on a beta blocker, but everything else was purely defense mechanism and you know, just how she emotionally detaches and disassociates when somebody is screaming at her, which, Okay, yeah, you have couches full of people. You're the main, like the spotlight is on you. Everyone is coming at you. I mean, I could see that that makes sense, but I don't know. You just, I feel like there's gotta be a little bit different situation when you're showing up to your job. You know, it's a job. It's not your one-off conversation with your husband that you're having in your New York City apartment and you just wanna be. pouty or you want to give silent treatment or walk away or whatever, that's not what this is. Whenever you show up to your job, to your reunion, you need to deliver. I don't care. You know, I go to work every day and I have to put my emotions aside. I can't just show up to my corporate job and have, however I would handle things personally, apply that to my job. So that's one thing I feel like, and maybe that's confusing because it's Reality TV so you're supposed to be authentic. You're supposed to be yourself take things how you would normally in real life your personal situations But when it comes to something like a reunion like if you want to do that in the show, that's one thing but a reunion I just feel like that is a completely different type of job obligation and you need to be present and you need to answer two questions or you know, I don't know like there you can't just be silent and So she did address that at the, in the city reunion and, but, know, I mean, we really still didn't get too much more in terms of timeline, which at this point, like I said, I don't really think that's even relevant anymore. We pretty much just get confirmation that, yeah, she is pursuing a life with West Wilson and there's confirmation that they are monogamous. So they are not dating around. They are exclusively dating each other. And I think really one of the main things that I got from all of this is because, you know, it was brought to her attention. It's like everything that you say that you don't like in Kyle and your marriage and how he behaves, that is West Wilson times whatever. But, you know, she disagrees. She stands on the fact that West is different with her and he gives her everything that Kyle never did. And I feel like that was the biggest blow to Kyle for sure, because he was like, what are you talking about? I've supported you with XYZ. I've done all of this for you. And I just think, you know, sometimes people get confused in the words support. I think she was wanting somebody that's more emotionally supportive of her, you know, somebody more present, I guess, because, know, Kyle was running businesses. He was out DJing and all of that, you know, providing supporting in that sense, but I guess she wanted somebody more to be emotionally connected to her and she claims that's what West Wilson gives her. I don't really know how. mean, obviously don't know these people personally, but I'm just like, in what world is West Wilson providing so much emotional support? And in my mind, maybe he is, but I feel like it's fake. feel he knows exactly what to say, how he needs to say how he needs to be portrayed because think of all these other women he's bamboozled. You know what I mean? He knows what to do. He knows how to get women he knows how to get them attached to him. So is that actually emotional support? Or is it emotional manipulation, trickery, foolery? I don't know. But She stands that they are strong, but they don't say, love you. They don't say, love you. They were inquisitive on that. It's like how strong is y'all's relationship? You guys are saying, I love you. She says, say, I-L-Y. But I mean, to be fair, I don't really think she does have to answer that to anybody. Just because you jump in a relationship with somebody doesn't mean that you love them. You have to get in that relationship. You have to build. you have to go through experiences with each other. And then, you know, those feelings get stronger to the point of love. Like, you know, we're not asking Kyle if he loves Sally and he was frolicking around with Sally. Granted, he's not in a relationship with her, but you know, he's trying to maybe pursue that or, know, right when you get to do you love them? Do you love them? So I just, I get where they're coming from of was it worth it to crash everything, you know, make terrible decisions and ruin relationships and everything. But I just really don't think it is fair of a question to ask. you know, that's something that you navigate. You could see, I see potential in this person. I could see it getting to that point, but we haven't said that yet. We haven't exclusively told that to each other yet. So I feel like I will give her that. I do feel like that is not really a fair thing to put on the spot for somebody. It just, you know, but you know, she did say that they have not said that. But I don't know, they're going strong. And she did want to clarify that she wasn't spitting in his mouth in Italy. It was an olive that she was bird feeding basically to his mouth. Doesn't matter. Disgusting. Either way, not cute. Don't care. I just really am shocked that they are still together. I will be honest on that. Actually, I mean, that's not really anything groundbreaking, but part of me does feel that a little bit of it is, or maybe a lot of it is just to prove the people wrong. You don't wanna feel stupid. And I think she feels stupid in a lot of other ways. So this is something that I feel like gonna try to hold on to as much as possible, but could be wrong. They could be getting married and she could be having babies and... we could do that or we can all be laughing at ourselves for laughing at them. You know, and then there was just some more I think we'll find out in part two. But you know, Amanda was just saying like there was just so much that people just don't really know that went on in her marriage with Kyle, like they were married and he was cheating on her. And she said she just kept it to herself. She didn't want anything like that out there. And I understand that I could so see that it's like, know, You're not gonna leave that person. You're not gonna divorce them. You're not going to cause waves. Why would you wanna bring that up to your friends? Why are you gonna wanna bring that up to the public? Because then everybody is just then even more excruciating to hear what they have to say about your relationship and they have more opinions and really dialing in and honing in. I feel like Amanda feels very frustrated in terms of you guys don't even understand. everything that I've been through with Kyle, like I needed somebody to lean on, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. And I just, again, I just want to nail a head on the coffin, whatever, put the nail in a coffin. That it wasn't about her exiting herself from the relationship. It wasn't even about her necessarily leaning on somebody else and finding that emotional support or whatever, realizing that there is, I guess, a life outside of this whole world with her and Kyle, but who she did it with. And that's it. That's what I really feel is just where she can't compute. But, know, can't help who you fall in love with, I suppose, but she doesn't love him yet. or it hasn't been said yet. So we can't even go off that, you know what I mean? But yeah, maybe we'll find out more on part two of all of the things that Kyle has done. I just feel like we're kind of brushing over, know, she's releasing all of this dirty laundry that went on in their relationship. And I feel like we're really not kind of dissecting that. Like when did all of this happen? How many times does it happen? Do we know who and what, whatever. what I got from it, it's... these random people that Kyle would meet out while DJing and then these girls are DMing Amanda, I'm honestly shocked that they've never come public with that, you know? But yeah, so I don't know, I don't know. Kind of a letdown, I suppose, but really all you need to know is that it doesn't seem like there's really truly any bad blood between Kyle and Amanda, I think. There is a level of respect and a love in a different type of sense, just like I have love for you, I don't love you, I have love for you, which I think is great, you know, moving forward. Probably will help heal faster. It seems like they have some sort of friendship. I don't know. It's very bizarre, I will say. Just considering the magnitude of how the relationship ended, how everything blew up, I am very shocked that they are at this place. very early on and respect. I think that's great. But yeah, we'll see how Amanda and Wes continue to move forward with their relationship. But I mean, I don't know, we won't really know until we get some sort of buzzy-ness going on because neither of them are gonna be on Summer House. So they might not be on our screen. I don't know. Will he migrate into In the City? That is some, wait, wait. If In the City continues and she continues with her relationship, He's gonna have to migrate to in the city, no? But if he, I mean, he said he left Summerhouse, but if he got fired from Summerhouse, will he be able to be on in the city? But how can Amanda move forward and live her life and showcase her life if Wes can't be on there? That's interesting. That is a dynamic I didn't really fully think about, but I will be curious to see how that goes. But I feel like other storylines, they need to be picking up because this whole Amanda West, Kyle situation, like that is, simmering away, you know what I mean? It's fading. The light is dimming. Other people need to have more storylines and I'm sorry, like I love Lindsay. I think she's so great. I think she's so cool and I love how strong she is. But we're not gonna be able to hold on to, she said I use the single mom card for very long. That's not gonna be stretched out into a season two and become like a whole thing. Or, know, Danielle wearing pink. very close to white for, my God, I can't even think of her name. What is going on for her wedding? Those other story, like that's just not going to be interesting for people. I just don't know. So hopefully things pick up quick for other people and interesting dynamics. because I just don't see how long it can last. Same for the Valley. That's done. know, there's just no way. poking and prodding and dragging on storylines for like seasons. It's not just like one incident. You know, I can understand when there's one big thing that happens and that is the center focus of the season, but for it to bleed into the next season, unless there's more developments, something new and feeds into other types of storylines and it goes into another season, perfect. But if it's the same thing and nothing new, has happened with it. We're just poking and prodding and beating the dead horse. That's boring. That's tiring. And I feel like that's what's happening with the Valley trying so hard to keep the show alive. And it's just not I mean, Jesse and Michelle, they're officially divorced. Now we saw that happen on last week's episode. And okay, we're done with that storyline now. And it seemed like they were able to have a really nice ending, at least in that episode, was tears of just kind of celebrating what they had. You know, now we're moving forward, this chapter's coming to a close, whatever, yada yada, they're both in other relationships. We're just really just going after Nia and Dani, but nothing new is really happening. It's just kind of like the same thing. You have Kristen and Luke, are they gonna make it? You know, her postpartum depression, but then he wants to have another baby, which I'm so confused on. Why does he want to have another baby when he can't even handle Kristen postpartum? Beyond me. And then we have Brittany, you know, she's getting her body her mommy makeover. She's wanting to feel her spark again. And then we just have Lala being the one to keep things kind of going, going on like starting conversations, hoping to make things change. I don't know, there's just nothing necessarily new that's happening. It's just the same stuff. And we're just dragging it. So I just don't know how shows like that continue. And I don't think, I don't think the Valley is continuing. I still can't get full confirmation if they haven't been able to sign for another season. Cause I feel like I see both. I see some of the cast being like, guys, there hasn't been an official announcement if we're picking back up or not. And then I see, it's canceled. So I can't say if it is officially canceled or not, but I just don't see how. they continue. there's unless there's new storylines, we get new characters. But yeah, I don't know. I don't know. It's kind of crazy because I just I feel like the world of reality TV is so tricky because you want to have a solid group of people that you can follow their life with. But, you know, it's like they get to a certain point on there's nothing really happening. And then it's kind of, you have to make something happen or you have to almost destroy your own life for things to be interesting, to be on TV, for television, to keep people engaged and wanna know what's going on. So I'm sure it comes to a point where that gets exhausting. It's like, I can only do so much. I can only give so much. And I wasn't even gonna bring this up, but this just made me think about it. know, House of Stasi is starting soon. Actually, by the time you see this episode, yeah, by the time this episode drops, the season premiere would have started. And I'm just really curious to see how that's gonna go. I am really shocked. I never would have thought Stassi would have ended up back up on her screens in terms of like her being the center of a reality show. I know she would end up on Vanderpump Villa, but that she wasn't really a main focus in terms of being the center of drama. She was kind of just... character to kind of help keep drama maybe going on in the villa. know, yeah, sure. She had some of her own personal stories, but wasn't anything that was like, my gosh, what is going on? So I'm really shocked. You know, she's married to Bo. They have a really great relationship. So that, you know, as far as we know, she has two beautiful kids. So I am so, so shocked that she is wanting to put her life, her relationship, her family on TV. for everybody else to have opinions on and make potential backlash. Like I could have sworn she said that she would not do it. She said there was no amount of money that would be worth doing that and putting herself back in those situations. Because I mean, the Vanderpump days, those were insane. That was a lot. Like you can never replicate the Vanderpump rules drama in that show. Like that was just such an anomaly. It was so good. Every single season there was just always something going on. But yeah, I'll be very curious to see how this goes. And I am really shocked. I mean, I'm really happy because I love Stassi. Stassi fan through and through. You can never make me hate her. All the ups and downs, but we'll see how that works out for her. continuing on to reunions, okay? We gotta finish out the ultimatum, okay? I have to talk about it. We had the proposals and we had the reunions. or just the one reunion, sorry. So I'm just gonna kind of go through each couple because there is just kind of a lot to unpack here. And I'll just start with like the least anticlimactic to, know, the most just kind of what's going on. First, for all the proposals, and I have to say, I loved the format of this episode because Love is Blind, the way that they drag out the proposals and the wedding day, not proposal, sorry, the wedding day is just too much. And I loved this. It was just like they got straight to it. It's like, all right, what are we doing? We proposing, we saying yes, each couple, there was no fluff. And I understand, know, love is blind, know, maybe with more storylines, you know, you're getting your family involved, you're getting their opinions, you're trying to see all the nerves and all that anticipation, but it's almost too much. It's too much. I don't really need all that. I don't even honestly care when they go dress shopping. Don't care, just show me the dress that you pick on wedding day. That's just, I hate all that filler and that fluff. So I loved the execution of this proposal episode, just straight to the point. And that's exactly what we needed. So spoiler alert, if you haven't seen it, which you should by now, if not, you're probably gonna get spoilers on social media, but every single couple left engaged. I was very shocked by that, very shocked by that. I wasn't necessarily shocked that every single couple there was a proposal, but I was shocked that every single one there was a yes. So there's that, yeah, so David and Casey, there was a proposal engaged and they showed up to this reunion sitting on the same couch that shows they're still together. So everything's going great for them. They are, you they planned their, you know, wedding and all of that. They're going to Italy, which is super exciting. That's where me and my husband, we had our wedding and it was so beautiful. Totally recommend, just gorgeous. You know, you don't have to deal with all the extra. It's like you and your person, your maybe a small family, maybe small gathering of friends if they're able to go and you're just in this beautiful country. And then you just, you don't have to worry about all the extra stuff, some sort of venue, you just get to look at all and how the beautiful scenery is. So definitely recommend eloping. mean. It was the best thing that we ever did, but that's what they're doing. And, but it was kind of cute because same with me and my husband, have to, you know, it has to become legal. You have to get it official and officiated in the United States. And so that's what they had done on the show and they had Nicholas J do it. He's an officiate. So I thought that that was super cute, but yeah, there's nothing interesting really to report on them. They're still going great and going strong and Yeah, happy for them. Honestly, my theory was that he wasn't going to propose. I really didn't think that he was. thought that they were gonna walk away and he was gonna be like, no. So I'm really excited for them. Kudos to them. Not very problematic. So perfect, love that. And then you have Luca Monica. So like I said, they left engaged. He reproposed on their dating anniversary. So, you know, wedding planning that's in the works, no issues with them. They're still going strong. They were cute and cozy on their couch. So good for them. Yeah. I mean, there's not really super anything crazy to report on them. Now here's where we get to just all the craziness because wow, this group of people is crazy. So, had Ashley and Killian, okay, they left engaged, but that wasn't for long. they were sitting on the same couch, but I guess maybe because there's not as much of bad blood between the two, I don't really know. So that kind of threw me. wasn't, because I'm analyzing the whole group of people and I'm like, okay, they're not sitting together. They're sitting together, but they're still together. So, Okay, but we learned that they called it off. Ashley called off the engagement, about, I think she said two months after the show ended, she said things just did not change. And there was just a lot of aggression, a lot of issues with alcohol would be involved. He broke her phone. She needed help from her parents to help move her. There was just no change. And yeah, I could talk. I could have told you that. What do you think? Do you think this show is going to really truly change your person? If you already have so much toxicity within your relationship, do you really think a Netflix show is going to be the cure for all of it? I mean, I guess it worked. So I will say one notable difference that was pointed out between Luke and Monica and David and Casey was that those couples fully immerse themselves into the experiment. Okay, you they were not contacting their ex. They were very much treated as exes and really did some self growth looking inward and all of that. And so it's just interesting that they really took it serious and applied the tools and everything and they left both engaged and they're still engaged. Whereas the couples that did not, you know, really take the rules seriously. They were still in contact with their ex and just things getting really messy that were left today with them no longer engaged and together. But anyways, so yeah, mean, I don't really know what you thought was going to happen. mean, Killian even admitted at three, he was like, yeah, I mean, I didn't really think things were going to necessarily change. I'm sure that they were probably going to be very similar to what they were before. I just yeah, like and when we're viewing their experience on the show, it didn't look positive. Like there really wasn't much positivity and growth that it looked like. You just saw a lot of bad and yeah, that it makes for more entertaining television. But there was nowhere in there where I was like, yeah, I see where this can work. The other couples I did, you know, it wasn't just straight up negative. It wasn't just roadblocks and so many things that they had to get through and tears and just so much anxiety. Like that is all I saw with these other couples. So it was just very interesting. But you know, when you love somebody and you want to see hope, I guess that just, it really phases you. Like you are blinded to that. But I am really happy for her that she was able to see, okay, this is not working. We did the show, that didn't make anything better. You're not changing. We are not good together. You know, she said that he is a great person, but we just don't mesh well. And I think that is just very much what I feel like a lot of people miss because yeah, you can see great qualities. How I've been screaming from the rooftop. You can see great qualities in somebody. but it doesn't necessarily mean that they are for you, you are for them. You can be two separate entities and be great and you can find that person that will mesh with your greatness and you guys can be even greater. I mean, IE Amanda and Kyle. So I was very happy that she was able to recognize that and she realized I am worth more than this and I don't need to put up with this and just didn't stick around for that. So that's really what we learned that they just, ended, there just was a lot of just toxic behaviors going on in their relationship. And it seemed like alcohol was a contributing factor and Killian was very much like, it's not alcohol. I don't know. I think there needs to maybe look inward and just kind of self-reflecting. And, you know, they both said that they're not seeing other people, which I think is good, taking times for themselves. And, just focusing on what they need to do and how they can be better for themselves and a future partner, which I mean, hey, you know, I can bash and I can judge and I can analyze a relationship. But at the end of the day, if you end up taking, you know, the road where that's best for you, if it was a long journey to get there, kudos to you. claps to you, flowers are given to you. I mean, I get it. You know, I've been in a relationship like that where it's like, you stay way, way longer than what you need to. It's so obvious it is not healthy, it is not working. Have everybody under the sun telling you the same thing. It just takes one moment for you to kind of snap out of it and be like, I don't want this anymore. I deserve better and we can no longer. And when you finally get there, it is so freeing and then you just see so many different things and you just are you're like, wow, I can't believe I put up with that. I can't believe I spent so much time wasted so much time. But when I say wasted, I say that lightly because I feel like when you go through something like that, you truly grow, you know what you want. You aren't going to put up with anything else moving forward. And you just have a whole different set of standards for yourself. And you respect yourself in a whole different way. So it is a growing experience, a learning experience. And again, whatever the journey was, if you can find that at the end of the day, the best for you and you exit that, perfect. I love that for you. So yeah, so then we move to Blake and Haley's same situation, okay? They're on separate sides of the room. was a lot of heightened emotions. so with all of that going on, she claims that he asked her to like, let's keep this under wraps. Like there's an affidavit, whatever, like let's seal this, don't press charges, please, please, So I guess Haley didn't move forward with pressing charges. But regardless, at the end of the day, it's very clear that those two just aren't working for each other. Like they are not meant to be together. Another factor into issues is alcohol. Clearly seems like there's alcohol, there's rage. There's just, you know, when you have alcohol in your system, your emotions are just like heightened and you just can say whatever you feel more comfortable just spewing it off the mouth or whatever and saying things maybe that you regret, you can't take back. I don't know, but it is very clear that these, this foursome, this quad, whatever, quad squad, they just were not good for each other. There was just so much insecurity, so much toxicity, and I'm really grateful that they were all able to recognize that they are not supposed to be together and they went their separate ways. And you know, one thing that kind of pointed out, to me was that he said he was 60 40 on going into the proposal on if he was going to propose to Haley. I'm sorry, but like if there's any sort of doubt, I don't know why you would even just do it. But here's my theory. My theory is because just because you do this proposal on the show doesn't actually mean you have to go through with it. You know, you don't have to turn around and there's going to be a preacher and officiate right then and there that you have to go ahead and go through with it in that exact moment. My whole thought is with them, everything that they went through, the show, all of that, there's this proposal piece. Why not? Not that I'm saying that that's good. Not that I'm saying that that's the right decision, but yeah, I can see you're going into this with your person that you've been with for years. There's so much that's been going on in like the past six weeks. You don't wanna make that full decision to fully no longer be with them, but you don't have to necessarily, as we can see, get married at the end of the day. So why not go ahead and propose? Because then you can work out everything after the fact. Let's go ahead, let's propose because I don't necessarily wanna break up with you. I don't know if I wanna marry you, but we can at least get proposed and continue the relationship. And then if we actually end up getting married, perfect. If we don't, you know what I mean? Like that's my whole theory. And I could so see that because I'm, you know, wondering why these proposals went on. And I'm wondering why some people said yes. But I mean, it just goes to show like Blake saying walking in there going 60 40 on if he even wanted to do it like that's crazy. I need you to be 100 % every single day. So if you had any sort of doubt. But it's like, why not? We can figure out the rest later. Let's just wrap it up. Let's wrap up the show. Yeah. Mm-mm. Mm-mm. Okay. Here's what I find very interesting. Because we have two couples, two other couples that didn't make it past the choice. We have Jessica Grace and Idris and then we have Alex and Jebin. And I didn't know much about Jessica and Idris and their whole situation, but my gosh, they are, well, Idris is disgusting. First of all, the way that he was talking to Jessica about the ending of their relationship, so first, sorry, let me backtrack. If you didn't watch last week's episode, I did talk about how at The Choice, whenever they were doing all of that, Idris... before all that went down, Idris ended up proposing to Jessica. So they left the show. He's like, no, I wanna be with you. You're who I wanna be with. I want you to be my wife, yada, yada, yada. They left, okay? So we don't know anything that's happened with them. All we know is that they left engaged, okay? Then we come to this reunion. They're sitting on opposite sides of the room. Proposal off, no longer together. And yeah, she just said things just got terrible after the show. He just... was not making changes, duh. And there was just like no affection, all that stuff. She learned that he was trying to pursue Alex, which is the other couple that left because he was going to, he wanted to match with her, or I guess in the trial marriage, Idris wanted to pair up with Alex. But Alex and Jebin, you know, they left the show. So I don't know if that was like, I need to just go ahead and propose because there's nobody else here that I want to be with. That's my thought. But after the whole show and everything, and I guess they were having issues, he was trying to pursue Alex. And Alex was like, what are you talking about? Like, I'm friends with Jessica. I want nothing to do with you. Like, I don't want to pursue a relationship with you. I just think that that's so crazy. But you know, Jessica and Idris like, things weren't just, they weren't just broken off and it was left as it was. There was so much messiness. They were still sleeping together, still being together, still staying with each other. And, I can't even, I don't even wanna like repeat what Idris said, but he was so gross in the way that he was describing Jessica and their last interaction before they broke up, left, whatever. and just talking about how they were being intimate with each other and it was like, you liked it. Like what, you know, like we did this and we did, what are you talking about? Do you hear yourself speak? Is this how you would want somebody to talk to your future? Like, and that's how you're gonna talk to someone you wanted to marry. I don't know. It was just disgusting. And you could just see there was a lot of hurt with Jessica and she was like, it was just humiliating. Like, being with you and how you would treat me and all of this. What's really terrible about all of this is after I watched the reunion, I saw a freaking statement, a joint statement between those two saying that they're working it out. Did you hear me? They're working it out. They've done a lot of reflecting apparently. They've done a lot of self reflection, looking inward. Did they say therapy? I screenshotted the statement. Yeah, they've attended therapy, reconnecting, and they are happy to report that they are giving it another shot. And. I don't really have much to say other than why and that's embarrassing. I know, I know you're putting your life out on the line, your relationship for everybody to scrutinize and judge or whatever, but the way that that man was talking to you, unforgivable, inexcusable, and it was disgusting and embarrassing. And if that was ever me, there would be zero shot that there was ever gonna be a reconnection and giving it another shot. All these other men, none of them talk to their exes the way that that man talked to you. And I just was absolutely beside myself when I saw that statement because she really held her own. know, she at that reunion, know, she wasn't backing down. She was being very stern. She was calling him out and she was like, absolutely not. So to turn around and backpedal and be like, oh, we're gonna give him a, that's, I don't know. I hope it works out and I hope all the therapy that he's done has truly paid off and he's a completely different person because I just was really just disgusted by the way that he was handling that whole situation and talking to her, especially for not having much screen time. Like you were on the show for 0.2 seconds. I don't know if it was like you really felt like you needed to make your mark and make a splash to kind of get some momentum going, but it wasn't a good look. yeah, I don't know. I don't know. But I feel like she deserves better. But if that's what she wants, yeah, more power to I hope. I hope that it works out for them. I really truly do. But yeah, and then Alex and Jebin, mean. I didn't really get much from their end, you know, it was really mainly just like Alex kind of speaking on that she was really baffled by Idris trying to pursue her and she was like, absolutely not. But yeah, I mean, for the most part, it seems like... besides Jessica and Idris, which I just don't understand why they would even want to reconnect. That's beyond me, like excusez-moi. Everybody else, they're either together and they're still going through with getting married, happy for them, or if they had a very toxic, visible relationship that was showed to the viewers, I was happy that they at least were able to realize that and take the steps to move on and find something better and live happier and healthier lives. If that doesn't mean being with each other, then they can find that with themselves and then find somebody else that will better suit them. think that's really truly important. I guess if that's what the ultimatum, if that's what shows the results, then I guess the job is doing or the show is doing its job. because it was a very mixed bag. You have people that ended up getting engaged and seemed to be very happy. And then you have those other couples that it was kind of all up in the air and it showed that they actually did not need to be together. So I guess this experiment showed them that. And I'm sure watching the show back even probably validated why they are no longer together. And if they were still together, I'm sure it probably would have maybe progress to, ooh, maybe we don't need to be together. Again, still confused on Jessica and Idris. I don't know. I wish them all the best, best of luck to them. But yeah, and I feel like, like I said, I'm just gonna reiterate on the proposal situation. Again, I just feel like, why not? Not that that's correct, but I'm sure it was viewed as like, I might as well do this, figure out the rest later. Cause I'm not ready to fully commit to leaving you and not being with you. So I'm just gonna go ahead and propose. And I feel like that could be one of the flaws in that show because then there's not really, I don't know, excitement in that sense because I was shocked every single couple got engaged. However, I am not shocked at some of the outcomes. But overall, I I thought the finale was great. I thought that it was giving more than what most finale or reunions do. feel like we usually get people that are like, I don't wanna talk about it. Or like lot of PR answers. I feel like you could feel a lot of the emotions. We were getting more details. I feel like maybe it could have been a little bit longer, but you know, that's fine. But yeah, I mean, I was actually very pleased with the reunion. And I feel like these people, you know, they are pretty open, which I appreciate. You you put your life out there on TV for, everybody, I feel like, yeah, then at the end of the day, you kind of have to close the loop and give the answers and the details of everything that happened in between and maybe even post, you know, I just, that's just kind of goes with the territory. But yeah, so I feel like eight out of 10 for entertainment, but two out of 10 for relationship success. But anyways, so yeah, we're going to close off this episode with of course I have to do my chic and weak of the week. So my chic of the week is gonna go to Love is Blind's Chelsea Griffin, okay? Unfortunately, know, her and Kwame, we learned of their divorce, but she's taking matters into her own hands and she's freezing her eggs and she's super happy about that and I'm happy for her. I think that's really great, you know, cause she knows she wants to be a mom. She does wanna have kids one day, but she doesn't wanna necessarily wait on the timeline of a future relationship and have to kind of navigate that, you know, she's like, I'm almost my mid thirties, heading to late thirties. the clock is continuously ticking. So I'm just going to go ahead and like freeze my eggs. So I don't feel the pressure of finding a partner and a person and kind of rushing things and kind of, you know, I can take my time with that and find my actual person who I would want to be the father of my children with. And I think that that's great. I think that that is that's your journey. I feel like instead of people rushing into relationships, rushing to settle down and just kind of settling. That's the route you wanna go with. Like, you know you wanna be a mom, you know you wanna have kids, freezing your eggs, absolutely chic, taking matters into your own hands, being in control. I love that for her. And I feel like that's super exciting. So super excited to see the future of what happens with her and whenever she finds somebody. Yeah, that'll be super cute. And then, okay, so. Total like shifting gears, like not even on theme for anything that I've ever talked about, but my week of the week. And honestly, it's not even a week of the week, it's the week of all time until this gets changed. And I just really need to talk about it because I think about it probably way more than I should. And I know I'm not the only one. I see posts about it. I know people have strong opinions. I tell my husband about this like all the time, like I will randomly just think about it and like, because I just crave it. My week of the week is chilies removing original chicken crispers, okay? I get sick at the thought that I can't just go into a Chili's and order that. I used to be a Chili's queen, okay? I don't think you understand, like I love Chili's. Well, I loved Chili's. They take too many good menu items and they change it. What's baffling to me is taking something. that was originally on the menu, something so unique to Chili's, it's like you knew that that was a Chili's Chicken Crisper, okay? You know, if you're like, I want chicken tenders, like you could probably go to five different places and it's all the same, couldn't really tell the difference. But you knew when you were walking into Chili's, you knew what original Chicken Crisper was gonna bring you. Like you knew that, mm, it's so good, so good, that little doughy batter. I just am shocked that it hasn't come back yet. I have hope, I have hope and I think they're weak until they bring that back. And I can say, I think I've only been twice since they've gotten rid of that on the menu. And I just haven't had a good time. I haven't had a good time either time. And I want to, we have a chili so close to us, but maybe it's for my own good. Maybe it's for my own good because then I'd probably be going way more than I should, but there's just. something about their ranch with the original chicken crisper and the doughy batter. Excellent, excellent. And I'll probably sign a petition because I did see that there was one. And, I just want to say, like, I'm just going to keep putting it out there and keep putting the energy out there that it's going to come back because Jackie Schimmel, coho, or sorry, the host of the Bitch Bible podcast, she talked about how she had a very similar situation at a Puyo Yoko, Puyo, I'm not even going to try to say it. I just like seized with barbecue black beans. Like they were gone for eight years. They just brought them back just recently. So if it can happen for her, it can happen for me. And I'm really hopeful on that. But anyways, I will constantly be thinking about those and yeah, I'll never stop. So Chili's bring those back please because you just need your star quality back and that's what's missing. And I'm here to be the one to tell you that that's what the people want. So thank you for that. And yeah, so that wraps up the episode for listening to the Drama Drops. Subscribe wherever you listen to your podcasts. Be sure to follow at V.Drama.Drop on all socials.
