- 1:05Speaker 1: girl dad, dedicated husband, hot wife, smart wife. And every
- 1:14Speaker 1: time you come, I go over, I go, we're going
- 1:16Speaker 1: to talk about these few things. You immediately start giving
- 1:19Speaker 1: your opinion. And I keep saying, save it for the pod.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Save it for the pod. We don't edit this stuff.
- 1:24Speaker 1: It's basically live. We basically don't cut anything out.
- 1:26Speaker 4: You want it fresh. I get you.
- 1:27Speaker 1: And I'm like, don't. And you're just so anxious to
- 1:30Speaker 1: give your opinion. First of all, I want to hear
- 1:32Speaker 1: you had a great time in Vegas, but what was
- 1:34Speaker 1: going on with those floods?
- 1:35Speaker 4: I know. It was crazy. Yeah. The day... Was it
- 1:39Speaker 4: Sunday or Saturday? It was like the streets were like lakes.
- 1:42Speaker 1: I was in Phoenix-ish, Scottsdale area. So I woke up
- 1:46Speaker 1: to seeing the floods in Newport. Yeah. Insane.
- 1:50Speaker 4: I know.
- 1:50Speaker 1: And then I saw the Vegas and you were performing
- 1:53Speaker 1: that night. So could people get to your show?
- 1:55Speaker 4: I don't know. They turned up. I don't know whether
- 1:57Speaker 4: they were already in the casino and just walked in.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Why do you have to cross the street anyway?
- 2:01Speaker 4: Yeah, they were there.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:02Speaker 4: It's wild. It's wild.
- 2:04Speaker 1: But did they, was it cleaned up by the time
- 2:05Speaker 1: you left?
- 2:06Speaker 4: Yeah. I think it just goes, I think it just
- 2:07Speaker 4: takes a while to go down the drains.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Oh, because it was just like flash, like rain.
- 2:13Speaker 4: Flash floods.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:13Speaker 4: So I think it's, it doesn't stay very long. Anyway,
- 2:16Speaker 4: it was fine. I drove home the next day and
- 2:17Speaker 4: it was nothing. Okay. Yeah. Maybe it was fun.
- 2:20Speaker 1: The world is surviving. But how were your shows?
- 2:22Speaker 4: Great. You're there a whole week, you know, you're there
- 2:25Speaker 4: from like Sunday to Monday, which is At the Brad
- 2:27Speaker 4: Garrett Comedy Club. And this is the first time I've realized,
- 2:30Speaker 4: which is kind of sad and good, I guess.
- 2:32Speaker 1: That you're just realizing it now?
- 2:34Speaker 4: That Vegas offers me nothing anymore. You know what I mean?
- 2:38Speaker 4: I'm an old man. They told me that we could
- 2:41Speaker 4: hook you up at this day club. It's like the
- 2:44Speaker 4: number one day club.
- 2:46Speaker 1: By yourself?
- 2:47Speaker 4: No, by myself.
- 2:48Speaker 1: To go to like.
- 2:51Speaker 4: We can get you behind the DJ booth or something.
- 2:53Speaker 4: And it was like Tiesto or one of the big DJs.
- 2:56Speaker 4: I walked in. I mean.
- 2:57Speaker 1: So you did go. You're like, sure, I'll check it out.
- 2:59Speaker 4: I walked in. I looked. And then, I mean, everybody
- 3:02Speaker 4: in there is 17.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Wait, did you have your swim shorts on when you
- 3:05Speaker 1: walked in?
- 3:06Speaker 4: I had like baggier pants.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Like a light school.
- 3:09Speaker 4: So it looked like swimmy pants.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Yes. Yeah.
- 3:11Speaker 4: I didn't want to go into it. I mean, that
- 3:13Speaker 4: would have been real sad. Like, look at his old time.
- 3:15Speaker 1: And you had your good sunglasses on.
- 3:17Speaker 4: I'm sure. I mean, I looked like I could.
- 3:19Speaker 1: You look like a hip.
- 3:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:21Speaker 1: You look like a daddy that a girl would absolutely
- 3:23Speaker 1: be not embarrassed to say she's trying to take your money.
- 3:26Speaker 4: Or look like I was going there to rescue my
- 3:28Speaker 4: daughter from like.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Trafficking or something. You're Liam Neeson.
- 3:31Speaker 4: I look like Liam Neeson. Yeah, so.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, you have like a little bit of a.
- 3:38Speaker 1: you know, Brad Pitt ish look killing. Yeah. So you
- 3:41Speaker 1: went in there and when did you turn around?
- 3:43Speaker 4: I didn't even really get all the way in because
- 3:46Speaker 4: it was very loud and very crowded. Cause I think
- 3:48Speaker 4: it was their final one of the, of the summer.
- 3:50Speaker 4: And I couldn't believe how young everybody looks. I mean,
- 3:54Speaker 4: they look like they're 17. They probably are 17. So
- 3:56Speaker 4: I'm like, I'm out on that, which is, you.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Know, it's really hard sometimes when I'm like, I'm just
- 4:03Speaker 1: starting now to be like, okay, if I go to this, honestly. Yeah.
- 4:08Speaker 1: I will be the oldest person and I will be
- 4:10Speaker 1: the oldest by a lot.
- 4:12Speaker 4: A lot.
- 4:13Speaker 1: And I have to start to tell myself, is that
- 4:15Speaker 1: something I'm still willing to do?
- 4:18Speaker 4: Right.
- 4:18Speaker 1: At this stage in the game. And for the first time,
- 4:20Speaker 1: I mean, a lot of people would be like, I
- 4:22Speaker 1: don't know how you've done it this long and had
- 4:24Speaker 1: the energy that you've had. What's the deal? Now I'm
- 4:26Speaker 1: just kind of like, I just don't think I need
- 4:29Speaker 1: to do that anymore.
- 4:31Speaker 4: You mean like out on the town?
- 4:33Speaker 1: Or just like an experience. Well, there was conversation about
- 4:36Speaker 1: doing Hollywood Horror Nights.
- 4:38Speaker 4: Oh, what's like a universal.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:42Speaker 1: And, you know, I think a lot of that stuff
- 4:44Speaker 1: is like, who are you going with? And it could
- 4:45Speaker 1: be really fun. Right. And as the group was coming together,
- 4:48Speaker 1: it was everybody I liked.
- 4:49Speaker 4: Okay.
- 4:50Speaker 1: But right before we found out that we, there was
- 4:53Speaker 1: no hope in getting the VIP tickets for the night
- 4:55Speaker 1: we wanted because it's totally sold out. Yeah. I did
- 4:59Speaker 1: write them. Okay. Branding Julie. I said, I just don't
- 5:04Speaker 1: think I can swing it that night. Cause it was
- 5:06Speaker 1: going to be like a Monday night or Sunday night. Yeah.
- 5:10Speaker 1: And I know I have to record the next day.
- 5:12Speaker 1: I live far away. And I'm like, I think the
- 5:15Speaker 1: only way it would work is if it was like, we're,
- 5:18Speaker 1: you know, I don't know. I just, And then it
- 5:20Speaker 1: worked out. Life's rejection is God's protection. There were no
- 5:24Speaker 1: tickets available because then there's a little bit of FOMO
- 5:26Speaker 1: that had they gotten them, I would have been like,
- 5:28Speaker 1: all right, let's, let's, I know I'll die laughing. I
- 5:31Speaker 1: know I'll have fun.
- 5:32Speaker 4: Oh yeah. It'd be fun.
- 5:33Speaker 1: It's more like I just will have to wait until
- 5:36Speaker 1: AI can beam me into the place. Yeah. Then I
- 5:39Speaker 1: can have fun. It's about getting there. It's about getting ready.
- 5:42Speaker 1: And it's about getting there. Yeah. Actually being there, whether
- 5:46Speaker 1: it's doing standup or whatever is totally the best.
- 5:49Speaker 4: And honestly, Halloween Horror Nights, you can just walk down
- 5:51Speaker 4: Ventura Boulevard now. I mean, honestly, have you seen L.A.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Lately?
- 5:55Speaker 4: Every day is Halloween Horror Nights.
- 6:00Speaker 1: I know, like, why do I have to? I mean, listen,
- 6:02Speaker 1: it is a scary thing. And all that stuff I
- 6:05Speaker 1: had to do. for so many years having boys and McKinsey.
- 6:11Speaker 1: And so I did the Disney, the Halloween, there's Halloween
- 6:15Speaker 1: when they're little and it's a lot of school parades.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Then when they're a little older, it is the horror stuff.
- 6:21Speaker 1: It is the mazes. It's like the Halloween carnival going
- 6:25Speaker 1: on the rides. And now I'm like finding the place
- 6:28Speaker 1: where I'm like, Yeah, I can go to a Halloween party.
- 6:32Speaker 1: And I'm like, I might not dress as a slut
- 6:34Speaker 1: this year. No? No.
- 6:35Speaker 4: Are you going to a Halloween party?
- 6:36Speaker 1: Yeah, we got invited to a Saturday night.
- 6:38Speaker 4: I know. Halloween's a Saturday night.
- 6:40Speaker 1: And where we live is a pretty great place for Halloween.
- 6:42Speaker 1: So our good friend is having a very nice party.
- 6:45Speaker 1: And then we can go in the cart and hit
- 6:47Speaker 1: some other things.
- 6:48Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 6:48Speaker 1: And I don't have an outfit together. And I don't
- 6:51Speaker 1: know if I'm going to... I just don't think... I just... If.
- 6:56Speaker 4: Peter drags out that Bruce Jenner outfit one more time...
- 7:01Speaker 4: He better not be pulling out that Bruce Jenner one
- 7:03Speaker 4: more time.
- 7:04Speaker 1: I don't even know if we have it. We might
- 7:05Speaker 1: have it.
- 7:06Speaker 4: I've seen it like three years in a row.
- 7:08Speaker 1: We have not done it in a really long time.
- 7:10Speaker 4: I know, but maybe it was.
- 7:11Speaker 1: I mean, it would be awkward since, you know, Caitlin
- 7:14Speaker 1: could be at the party.
- 7:15Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what... So maybe... When we did it.
- 7:18Speaker 1: The first time, it was Bruce from 76 was Peter
- 7:21Speaker 1: and Bruce was there. Right. But I think... Yeah, I
- 7:25Speaker 1: don't know. Like, I'm like... I was literally thinking, do
- 7:27Speaker 1: I go Halloween... something cool and comfy and like go
- 7:32Speaker 1: tennis shoes and still like look pretty or whatever, but
- 7:36Speaker 1: no wig. Cause a wig hits your head. No, something
- 7:39Speaker 1: that's just could be clever, but comfortable for my first
- 7:42Speaker 1: year ever of not going sexy slut.
- 7:45Speaker 4: Are, are you, do you and Peter have to do
- 7:47Speaker 4: like a couple's costume?
- 7:48Speaker 1: I mean, we don't. And I haven't even thought of anything.
- 7:51Speaker 1: I've just been this month has been so busy with
- 7:53Speaker 1: doing the shows. Cause we, I just did the Phoenix
- 7:55Speaker 1: and we're going to a wedding this week. And like,
- 7:57Speaker 1: it's just been busy.
- 7:59Speaker 4: So, all right, well.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Do you know what you are? I mean.
- 8:03Speaker 4: No, not really, but I have an idea.
- 8:05Speaker 1: All right, well, we'll hear about it.
- 8:06Speaker 4: I think I'm going to be, you probably don't know
- 8:07Speaker 4: who I'm going to be, but.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Is it another, like.
- 8:10Speaker 4: It's an 80s, Adam Ant. I think I'm going to
- 8:13Speaker 4: be Adam Ant. I think I got it all down. Oh,
- 8:15Speaker 4: that's a good one. You know, like the, you know,
- 8:16Speaker 4: the frilly and the makeup. I think I'm going to
- 8:19Speaker 4: do Adam. Nobody will know who I am unless you're,
- 8:22Speaker 4: you know, a 58 or above, but. Okay. So I
- 8:25Speaker 4: think I'm going to be Adam Ant.
- 8:26Speaker 1: What's Adam Ant's biggest song?
- 8:29Speaker 4: Ah, goody two, goody two, goody, goody two shoes. Don't drink,
- 8:32Speaker 4: don't smoke.
- 8:33Speaker 1: What do you do? You don't drink, don't smoke.
- 8:36Speaker 4: Okay.
- 8:36Speaker 1: I love it.
- 8:37Speaker 4: Okay. I think I might do that.
- 8:38Speaker 1: So maybe I should do something like that. Like I
- 8:41Speaker 1: do like doing like a classic star from a specific era.
- 8:45Speaker 4: Cindy Lauper. I mean, that's the era. You would know
- 8:49Speaker 4: it immediately if you did it right.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:51Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:53Speaker 1: And I could work it around a sensible tennis shoe.
- 8:55Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly. Girls just want to have fun.
- 8:58Speaker 1: All right. Maybe I have so many wigs. I should
- 9:01Speaker 1: do something around my number, my wigs.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:04Speaker 4: All right.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Well, Baywatch just dropped their preview or trailer.
- 9:09Speaker 4: For the series.
- 9:12Speaker 1: And Drake saw it and we're pretty excited. Like I'm
- 9:16Speaker 1: pretty excited because it kind of reminds me of when
- 9:19Speaker 1: the kids were younger, we went through a great era
- 9:23Speaker 1: of Monday nights. We would watch nine, nine, one, one. 9-1-1,
- 9:28Speaker 1: like that show with like Angela Bassett and she was
- 9:32Speaker 1: a cop.
- 9:32Speaker 4: Was it Rob Lowe on it for.
- 9:33Speaker 1: A little while? No, Rob Lowe is a, then they
- 9:35Speaker 1: spun off. So there's 9-1-1, like, austin and nine like
- 9:39Speaker 1: but 9-1-1 la was so good because they'd be like
- 9:43Speaker 1: earthquakes and they'd be like and then i would like
- 9:45Speaker 1: predict what was going to be the next thing and
- 9:47Speaker 1: they had like a they had the firemen and then
- 9:49Speaker 1: they had the cops and then they had a lot
- 9:51Speaker 1: of very um lgbtqi relationships happening oh yeah throughout the
- 9:57Speaker 1: whole thing so that was always kind of fun yeah
- 9:59Speaker 1: and So this looks like, I mean, there's a hot
- 10:04Speaker 1: guy and his daughter shows up. Yeah.
- 10:06Speaker 4: The hot older guy.
- 10:07Speaker 1: And it was, oh my God, you know, I never
- 10:10Speaker 1: had a relationship with this daughter and she's hot. And
- 10:13Speaker 1: I'm like, that's kind of weird. Like the minute you
- 10:15Speaker 1: meet your daughter, you're like, here's your red bathing suit.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Like we just met.
- 10:19Speaker 4: He didn't ask her. I saw the trailer. He said,
- 10:21Speaker 4: are you a lifeguard? She said, it's been my life's
- 10:24Speaker 4: dream to be a lifeguard. And then, you know, so whatever.
- 10:27Speaker 4: And they do say, oddly, in the trailer, they say, Baywatch,
- 10:31Speaker 4: the most popular television show of all time.
- 10:34Speaker 1: I think it is.
- 10:35Speaker 4: That's what it says in the trailer.
- 10:36Speaker 1: I think it is because it was syndicated and because
- 10:38Speaker 1: so many other countries watched it because it was just
- 10:40Speaker 1: such good looking people. It was so stupid.
- 10:43Speaker 4: It was like their vision of America, I think.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Yes. And the beach life and all what it could
- 10:47Speaker 1: be like.
- 10:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Drake and I are concerned because we do live with
- 10:53Speaker 1: a former lifeguard.
- 10:54Speaker 4: Oh, that's right.
- 10:55Speaker 1: And we will have to hear.
- 10:57Speaker 4: That's not the way it is.
- 10:58Speaker 1: That's not the way it is. And that, you know, I,
- 11:01Speaker 1: I saved two lives. I mean, he was already had
- 11:04Speaker 1: a chip on his shoulder about that young kid that
- 11:06Speaker 1: went to the white house that saved that 10 year
- 11:08Speaker 1: old boy. And I was like, okay, Peter, like people
- 11:11Speaker 1: didn't have cameras back then. Sorry that your life didn't,
- 11:14Speaker 1: that you didn't become a hero for the one guy
- 11:16Speaker 1: that you were, no, he said he's taped two people.
- 11:18Speaker 4: Oh wow.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Anyway, I think it'll be fun. And the opening scene
- 11:22Speaker 1: is these girls are doing the, parasailing thing, but a
- 11:26Speaker 1: low-flying plane gets caught in.
- 11:28Speaker 4: I watched it twice this morning. I'm all in. Isn't
- 11:32Speaker 4: Brooks Nader in it?
- 11:34Speaker 1: Yeah, but I feel like they didn't really feature her
- 11:36Speaker 1: in the trailer.
- 11:37Speaker 4: Why would they? I mean, I don't know. She's probably
- 11:39Speaker 4: not killing it as an actress, you know what I mean?
- 11:42Speaker 1: Yeah, and then one girl's like, can you handle it?
- 11:45Speaker 1: We totally had a Baywatch moment, though. Drake, remember when
- 11:49Speaker 1: you stepped on something or something and this the hottest
- 11:53Speaker 1: girl I have a photo of it he was like
- 11:54Speaker 1: 12 and a girl that literally looked like a Baywatch
- 11:59Speaker 1: girl really had to like bandage up his foot or
- 12:03Speaker 1: something yeah and I mean it was serious it looked
- 12:06Speaker 1: like it was fake like it looked like it was
- 12:08Speaker 1: casted she was so hot and he's like 12 and
- 12:10Speaker 1: he's like he's like bending down I have photos of
- 12:14Speaker 1: it that's great I'm like how soon.
- 12:17Speaker 4: Before they have Hasselhoff back on this I mean they
- 12:19Speaker 4: have to call him right He's got to come to
- 12:22Speaker 4: do something.
- 12:23Speaker 1: I think he's not going to be part of it.
- 12:25Speaker 4: No?
- 12:25Speaker 1: It's just, you get to a level where there's nostalgia
- 12:29Speaker 1: and then there's straight up crusty.
- 12:31Speaker 4: Oh, he's straight up crusty.
- 12:32Speaker 1: He's straight up crusty. And I just don't think we
- 12:35Speaker 1: need straight up crusty. And also his life took a
- 12:38Speaker 1: weird personal bad toll.
- 12:40Speaker 4: It took a lot, several.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Remember when the daughter was mad at him and she
- 12:42Speaker 1: filmed him on the floor eating the burger drunk?
- 12:46Speaker 4: Do I remember? It's the greatest video ever. He's laying
- 12:49Speaker 4: on the ground drunk in Vegas, I believe. And he's
- 12:52Speaker 4: just babbling, making no sense. Yeah, it's pretty wild. Wow.
- 12:58Speaker 1: And then, but also just knowing like the Pamela Anderson
- 13:01Speaker 1: story and everything.
- 13:03Speaker 4: Yeah. Oh my gosh.
- 13:04Speaker 1: I saw this clip about this girl giving her opinion
- 13:07Speaker 1: of how she was like, now people are finally like, yeah,
- 13:10Speaker 1: I'm kind of over Pamela Anderson, like wanting a, like
- 13:13Speaker 1: a purple heart for not wearing makeup. Yeah.
- 13:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:16Speaker 1: They're like, I think we're over it now. Like, Oh,
- 13:18Speaker 1: you're so brave. You're so, first of all, you're already
- 13:21Speaker 1: still gorgeous.
- 13:22Speaker 4: Right.
- 13:22Speaker 1: You want it in the genetics pool with your natural
- 13:26Speaker 1: full lips and your blue eyes and your perfect teeth.
- 13:28Speaker 1: And like, so, okay. So now you don't want to
- 13:31Speaker 1: wear it. Okay. Don't like who gives a shit. Yeah.
- 13:35Speaker 1: And there's a lot of women not wearing it just
- 13:36Speaker 1: because you're on the red carpet and not wearing it.
- 13:38Speaker 1: I don't know what you expect that we're supposed to
- 13:40Speaker 1: do for you. You still look good.
- 13:42Speaker 4: Just like you with your Halloween costume. I think she
- 13:44Speaker 4: just wants to be comfortable. You know what I mean?
- 13:46Speaker 4: She's done. It's sneaker time from Pamela Anderson.
- 13:49Speaker 1: This episode of Juicy Scoop is sponsored by Willys. So
- 13:52Speaker 1: I know a lot of us are trying to reduce
- 13:54Speaker 1: our alcohol intake, maybe especially during those weeknights. And that
- 13:59Speaker 1: is why I've been really enjoying Willys. Willys is a
- 14:03Speaker 1: premium THC infused social tonic crafted by the legendary Willie Nelson.
- 14:09Speaker 1: This is Willie Nelson's own social tonic. And if there's

- 17:07Speaker 1: Like what exercises, how many sets, how do I actually
- 17:10Speaker 1: get stronger? That's exactly what the Ladder app does for you,
- 17:15Speaker 1: The last workout I did on the Ladder app is
- 17:17Speaker 1: lower body training. This is getting my glutes, my butt,
- 17:22Speaker 1: and my inner thighs in a way that I didn't
- 17:24Speaker 1: know was possible. And now I feel like I know
- 17:27Speaker 1: what I'm doing, I'm being safe, and I'm actually feeling

- 18:22Speaker 1: this topic. I didn't really talk about it last week,
- 18:24Speaker 1: and I thought you're coming on. I want to talk
- 18:27Speaker 1: about it because a lot of people might have heard
- 18:29Speaker 1: of it and don't understand, but being two professional comedians,
- 18:33Speaker 1: we're going to get into some stand-up talk. Juicy Scoop
- 18:37Speaker 1: stand-up talk.
- 18:37Speaker 4: And there's been a lot of stand-up stories lately.
- 18:40Speaker 1: We have a lot of stand-up Juicy Scoop to talk about.
- 18:42Speaker 1: So I started to notice the videos last week, which were,
- 18:47Speaker 1: oh my God, Sebastian... How do you say his last name? Maniscalco.
- 18:51Speaker 4: Maniscalco. Yeah.
- 18:52Speaker 1: He is one of the most popular stand-ups. He is
- 18:55Speaker 1: very physical. He's probably... He's like mid-50s or early 50s.
- 19:00Speaker 4: He....
- 19:01Speaker 1: Is it goes talks about his italian american family and
- 19:05Speaker 1: he's just one of those comics predominantly clean everyone loves
- 19:08Speaker 1: him you could take your grandmother you could take a
- 19:10Speaker 1: 12 year old kid kills it whatever so they had
- 19:14Speaker 1: this raw dog channel on sirius and somehow they gave
- 19:18Speaker 1: it to him and then it changed the channel changed
- 19:22Speaker 1: so the channel used to play clips of people's taped
- 19:27Speaker 1: standup from specials or maybe not even from specials. Might've
- 19:30Speaker 1: just been from, from albums and specials and specials. And
- 19:34Speaker 1: it only brought in 117,000 to 141,000 per month. And
- 19:41Speaker 1: then they had to split that listeners or the amount
- 19:44Speaker 1: of money it made. Oh, and then they split that
- 19:47Speaker 1: among 800 comics that they played. Yeah. So the most
- 19:51Speaker 1: that anybody was getting, really, was probably $ 150 a month.
- 19:54Speaker 4: Well, it just depended upon how much you played. Some
- 19:59Speaker 4: people played more than others. Some people got a little
- 20:01Speaker 4: bit more. But no, it was never a giant sum.
- 20:04Speaker 4: And people in their videos, when they were talking about it,
- 20:06Speaker 4: would say that. They were like, it was enough to...
- 20:09Speaker 4: fill up the car with gas or whatever a month.
- 20:12Speaker 4: So I don't think anybody was living off of it.
- 20:16Speaker 1: And I think what was kind of interesting is it
- 20:17Speaker 1: kind of became one of those things where since I...
- 20:22Speaker 1: People have said they've heard myself on Sirius. If I've
- 20:24Speaker 1: gotten a check from Sirius, I don't know where it
- 20:26Speaker 1: is because I've never gotten a check like that. And
- 20:29Speaker 1: people have asked me that. They're like, no, no, you're
- 20:31Speaker 1: supposed to get this money. And I'm like, I mean,
- 20:33Speaker 1: I don't know, but whatever. I mean, I understand if someone...
- 20:37Speaker 1: was being played a lot. And the other comics that
- 20:40Speaker 1: have a bigger name wanted to like support comics that,
- 20:43Speaker 1: you know, get the job done, aren't famous, are road comics.
- 20:47Speaker 1: And they were looking forward to those couple hundred dollars
- 20:49Speaker 1: a month. Well, it wasn't a profitable channel. So they
- 20:53Speaker 1: changed it to hit for he's now running it. But
- 20:57Speaker 1: part of, I don't understand. He's running it. It's his channel.
- 21:00Speaker 1: But they changed it from 800 comics to only 275 comics.
- 21:04Speaker 1: And a lot of those comics are huge names or
- 21:07Speaker 1: they're dead.
- 21:08Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like Joan Rivers. There's some of them. But
- 21:11Speaker 4: you still have.
- 21:11Speaker 1: To pay the Joan Rivers estate, right?
- 21:13Speaker 4: I think so.
- 21:14Speaker 1: So it's not like they're getting away with by playing
- 21:16Speaker 1: dead people.
- 21:17Speaker 4: No, I don't think they're getting away with it being
- 21:19Speaker 4: any cheaper. But yeah, I saw the list of people.
- 21:24Speaker 4: I feel like a lot of people went to like
- 21:27Speaker 4: Joan Rivers and Johnny Carson. But there was also a
- 21:29Speaker 4: bunch of. pretty, uh, middle of the road comedians as well.
- 21:34Speaker 4: And just added. Yeah. See, like, look, here it is.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:37Speaker 4: It's, uh, I mean, it's, it's Roy.
- 21:40Speaker 1: They got rid of Hannah Gadsby. Remember when she was
- 21:42Speaker 1: like such a big deal, the Australian girl. Yeah.
- 21:47Speaker 4: I mean, these are all funny people. And I think
- 21:50Speaker 4: they're all doing... I'm looking at the list now. And
- 21:52Speaker 4: I think that they're all doing pretty well on the road.
- 21:55Speaker 1: But also, I mean, it's like.
- 21:56Speaker 4: Outside of... This is just a small list. There's like
- 21:59Speaker 4: 800 people.
- 21:59Speaker 1: But it means like you're out forever? Like they can't
- 22:01Speaker 1: bring you back next month?
- 22:03Speaker 4: I don't know. I honestly don't really know how it works.
- 22:06Speaker 4: I've never been played on Raw Dogs. So, you know,
- 22:08Speaker 4: this doesn't affect me at all. But, I mean, everyone's
- 22:11Speaker 4: asking me about it, of course.
- 22:13Speaker 1: I mean, it's a... Listen, it's a bummer for anybody to.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Had their job changed. But a lot of people's jobs
- 22:20Speaker 1: are changing. And a lot of things that people were
- 22:22Speaker 1: getting paid for before, they may not be being paid
- 22:25Speaker 1: for today.
- 22:26Speaker 4: That seems to be.
- 22:27Speaker 1: You know, in every industry. A lot of people's.
- 22:29Speaker 4: Opinions are, yeah, this is just a changing... Like, everything changes.
- 22:34Speaker 1: So, but in the talking about it, he was getting criticized, too,
- 22:39Speaker 1: as the kind of person he is. And finally, he
- 22:41Speaker 1: did speak about it. And he was like... Which that.
- 22:44Speaker 4: Got a lot of shit because... He just put it
- 22:47Speaker 4: in his Instagram stories, which goes away in 24 hours.
- 22:52Speaker 4: So people were like, well, obviously, he doesn't care at all. But,
- 22:56Speaker 4: I mean, who knows? I mean, how much does he
- 22:59Speaker 4: really care?
- 22:59Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, it was probably a deal. And people
- 23:04Speaker 1: were saying that he might not have known what that
- 23:06Speaker 1: had meant. But also, what is he supposed to do?
- 23:09Speaker 4: It's like.
- 23:10Speaker 1: If a comedy club closed and then people were like,
- 23:14Speaker 1: that was my main club and I was making this
- 23:15Speaker 1: much a year, what are we supposed to do about that?
- 23:19Speaker 1: If they need to make this profitable and they figure
- 23:24Speaker 1: we're going to do a third of the people and
- 23:27Speaker 1: we're going to do it big names because when people
- 23:30Speaker 1: know the names of the people, they're going to stay
- 23:32Speaker 1: on the network longer. They're going to stay on the
- 23:34Speaker 1: channel longer. So that's how we're going to read and
- 23:36Speaker 1: we're going to put it under the pyramid of one
- 23:39Speaker 1: of the most famous you know, family friendly comics, who's Sebastian. Yeah. And,
- 23:46Speaker 1: but I mean, I think it was not, I understand.
- 23:48Speaker 1: I liked that they brought it up. I liked that
- 23:49Speaker 1: people stood up for the, the working comic, but again,
- 23:53Speaker 1: it's just like, I mean, what are they supposed to do?
- 23:56Speaker 4: No, I know. I think that was a little bit of,
- 23:59Speaker 4: everyone was just like, yeah, times change, you know? And
- 24:03Speaker 4: this is part of that. So yeah, it sucks that
- 24:06Speaker 4: people lost out on money.
- 24:07Speaker 1: But First of all, I didn't even know that money existed. Like,
- 24:10Speaker 1: I didn't even know.
- 24:11Speaker 4: The funny thing is, I felt a lot of people
- 24:14Speaker 4: saying things like, it's just not fair, it's just not fair.
- 24:16Speaker 4: And I'm like, well, whoever got into comedy thinking it
- 24:19Speaker 4: was fair? Like, or show business. Like, there couldn't be
- 24:21Speaker 4: anything less fair than show business. It's never been fair.
- 24:25Speaker 1: It's so true. And then Drake was saying he thought...
- 24:27Speaker 1: he saw something with like Bert Kreischer or whatever saying,
- 24:30Speaker 1: we've got to, you know, we've got to unionize the
- 24:33Speaker 1: comedians or something.
- 24:34Speaker 4: I saw that, yeah. Some other people saying that too.
- 24:35Speaker 1: And Drake just told me just that little bit. And
- 24:37Speaker 1: I go, yeah, they've tried that for years. They tried
- 24:39Speaker 1: it at the comedy store in the 70s. It's never
- 24:42Speaker 1: going to work. It's because all you need is a
- 24:45Speaker 1: mic and yourself. And it's just not some, it's so subjective. And,
- 24:51Speaker 1: you know, Right. People can steal your material and do
- 24:54Speaker 1: it for themselves and fuck you over. It's just a
- 24:56Speaker 1: fuck over business. It's a fuck over business. And the
- 24:58Speaker 1: only reason you should be doing it is because you
- 25:01Speaker 1: love it so much and you live for it and
- 25:05Speaker 1: you can't stop doing it. And when you can stop
- 25:08Speaker 1: doing it, then great, go do something else. Like, I mean,
- 25:11Speaker 1: it's just, it's a really, and it's a really unique talent,
- 25:15Speaker 1: which is why I keep doing it because a lot
- 25:16Speaker 1: of people have podcasts, but not a lot of people
- 25:19Speaker 1: can stand up and talk for an hour and a half.
- 25:20Speaker 1: So it's like, even though the podcast is such a
- 25:23Speaker 1: big deal like you and i still want to do
- 25:25Speaker 1: standard because it is such like a unique um thing
- 25:29Speaker 1: that's not a lot of people can.
- 25:30Speaker 4: Do well i believe and this is an opinion that
- 25:34Speaker 4: might uh not be a popular one that's okay but
- 25:37Speaker 4: i felt like a lot of people who i saw
- 25:39Speaker 4: saying that they've they're losing out on money were you
- 25:42Speaker 4: know they've been around a long time sometimes This is
- 25:45Speaker 4: always interesting to me. As a guy who's had a
- 25:47Speaker 4: moderately successful comedy career, certainly not Sebastian, but I'm not
- 25:52Speaker 4: the poorest of the poor, but I'm not the biggest
- 25:54Speaker 4: of the big. So I have kind of an opinion
- 25:57Speaker 4: on it. I feel that once you get to like
- 25:58Speaker 4: a certain age and you've been doing it a long
- 26:01Speaker 4: time and whatever, something's not popping. I feel like maybe it's,
- 26:06Speaker 4: which nobody ever does, at least in my, you know,
- 26:10Speaker 4: I don't think so. Uh, is like, get a, get
- 26:13Speaker 4: another job. Like, you know what I mean? Like, if
- 26:16Speaker 4: you feel like this is unfair and doesn't pay enough and,
- 26:19Speaker 4: and which I, another thing that came up during this was,
- 26:22Speaker 4: you know, clubs have been paying the same rate for
- 26:25Speaker 4: a long time now. They really haven't changed, especially for
- 26:28Speaker 4: middle acts and opening act. It's been $ 75 or whatever
- 26:31Speaker 4: it is for ever. The headliners hasn't really changed much either,
- 26:35Speaker 4: depending upon how much you sell, you know? But so
- 26:38Speaker 4: that came up and I saw a lot of people
- 26:40Speaker 4: bitching about like the price of a feature act gets.
- 26:44Speaker 4: And I'm like, well, if it's not enough, go do
- 26:46Speaker 4: something else. And here's why people won't. Because it's easy.
- 26:51Speaker 4: You know what I mean? Like it's easier to do
- 26:54Speaker 4: 20 minutes on a Saturday night in front of an
- 26:56Speaker 4: adoring crowd than it is to go get a real
- 26:58Speaker 4: job at like a Home Depot. You know what I mean?
- 27:02Speaker 4: Like I know that's an unpopular opinion.
- 27:03Speaker 1: No, it's not. I mean, it makes sense. I mean,
- 27:05Speaker 1: it's true.
- 27:06Speaker 4: It's like.
- 27:07Speaker 1: I mean, I, I agree with everything you're saying. I mean,
- 27:10Speaker 1: I saw this one guy talk about it and he
- 27:13Speaker 1: was kind of defending Sebastian and he was like, going
- 27:16Speaker 1: to go do the Boca box or whatever that place is.
- 27:18Speaker 4: In Boca Raton.
- 27:19Speaker 1: And he's like, look, I've been doing standup for 30 years.
- 27:22Speaker 1: I'm really excited. I have a show tonight. It's sold out.
- 27:24Speaker 1: I'm really excited to get on stage. I also have
- 27:27Speaker 1: owned and run restaurants this whole time.
- 27:30Speaker 4: Right.
- 27:31Speaker 1: And it's like, yeah, I mean, I've always had to
- 27:33Speaker 1: do something else.
- 27:34Speaker 4: Me too.
- 27:34Speaker 1: Real estate, working on a TV show.
- 27:36Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 27:37Speaker 1: You know, working on the podcast, doing other things. It's
- 27:40Speaker 1: a rare time that someone can do that. solely you
- 27:44Speaker 1: know and and it is unfortunate and it is unfortunate
- 27:47Speaker 1: to like if you go well i haven't popped yet
- 27:50Speaker 1: you know and then well okay then do it for
- 27:53Speaker 1: a way that you can still do it and then
- 27:56Speaker 1: love it and be excited because when i was starting
- 27:58Speaker 1: people and especially guys i'd be dating are like well
- 28:00Speaker 1: how long you're gonna give this thing right auditioning and
- 28:04Speaker 1: whatever and i'm like what when I stopped getting excited
- 28:08Speaker 1: to do it, but right now I'm excited to go
- 28:09Speaker 1: on the audition. I'm excited to do the 10 minute
- 28:12Speaker 1: spot at Largo. I'm excited. So when I stopped getting excited,
- 28:16Speaker 1: then I will stop doing it. And I haven't stopped
- 28:19Speaker 1: doing it, you know, but.
- 28:20Speaker 4: But you're not excited anymore.
- 28:22Speaker 1: I got, I had great shows in Phoenix. I loved
- 28:27Speaker 1: it at the desert Ridge. I, Like, like I said,
- 28:30Speaker 1: I love standing there and doing it, the actual art
- 28:34Speaker 1: of doing it and doing like four shows in a
- 28:36Speaker 1: row and having the bit get better and like getting excited.
- 28:40Speaker 1: So that I love.
- 28:41Speaker 4: What about if it's kind of bombing, even though, you know,
- 28:44Speaker 4: it works, you know what I mean? Like I did
- 28:46Speaker 4: seven shows this week in Vegas, all of them pretty good,
- 28:50Speaker 4: almost great until the last one Sunday night. And I
- 28:53Speaker 4: kept telling the guy I was featuring from like, you know,
- 28:55Speaker 4: one's coming, like they've been too good. And sure enough,
- 28:58Speaker 4: the Sunday night went, and everything up until that point
- 29:00Speaker 4: was like, it's the same jokes and they're killing. And
- 29:02Speaker 4: then just that night, for whatever reason, it's just off.
- 29:05Speaker 4: And I mean, all these years I've been doing it,
- 29:07Speaker 4: I still can't figure out why, you know?
- 29:09Speaker 1: I've been lucky enough that it's never like a bad show.
- 29:13Speaker 1: There's been times where I'm like, I give it like
- 29:14Speaker 1: a seven. Yeah. I didn't love it. I don't know why.
- 29:17Speaker 1: But there's definitely bits that don't work.
- 29:20Speaker 3: Right.
- 29:20Speaker 1: And there's this one bit that I was telling Brady
- 29:23Speaker 1: and Julie. I didn't mean for it to be bad.
- 29:25Speaker 1: I was literally just telling a story. And they were
- 29:27Speaker 1: just like, you have to do that in your act.
- 29:29Speaker 1: It's just so funny. Yeah. And I tried a couple
- 29:33Speaker 1: times and like one time it bombed, the second time
- 29:35Speaker 1: it did kind of good. Then the third time it
- 29:37Speaker 1: bombed and I'm like, okay, it's out. Like it's out. Sorry,
- 29:41Speaker 1: Brandy and Julie, that you thought it was so funny.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Do you want me to tell you what it is?
- 29:45Speaker 4: Absolutely.
- 29:45Speaker 1: Please.
- 29:46Speaker 4: Yes.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Somehow we were talking about something. And I always remember
- 29:50Speaker 1: this story that somebody told me in that their friend
- 29:52Speaker 1: had adopted like two kids from birth, but two different
- 29:57Speaker 1: parents or two different mothers. And one of the mothers
- 30:00Speaker 1: was like a stripper and, you know, and the, and
- 30:04Speaker 1: she just was like, but that little four-year-old from the
- 30:07Speaker 1: stripper would kind of do some like little shady things.
- 30:11Speaker 1: And she found that he was, the little four-year-old was
- 30:14Speaker 1: like hoarding sugar, like white sugar that you'd get like,
- 30:18Speaker 1: you know, to cook with and putting in a little baggie.
- 30:22Speaker 1: And then she would just... And she found it in
- 30:23Speaker 1: her room and she'd just be sneaking it, just eating it.
- 30:26Speaker 1: And I go, what? With her little pinky finger, like
- 30:28Speaker 1: stiffening it up her nose like a little cook. And
- 30:31Speaker 1: Freddie and Julie were laughing so hard. And so I
- 30:33Speaker 1: tried it and I tried setting it up different ways.
- 30:37Speaker 1: And it just... it sounds like what are you saying
- 30:39Speaker 1: like it's yeah it just is a too weird of
- 30:41Speaker 1: a concept yeah so then then i'm like okay goodbye
- 30:44Speaker 1: with that one the next night i'm like it's out
- 30:47Speaker 1: so there's that.
- 30:48Speaker 4: You know yeah it's all but that's what keeps it
- 30:50Speaker 4: fun for me yeah i mean it's just like the
- 30:52Speaker 4: fact that it's always work right which i like.
- 30:55Speaker 1: Well i found this other guy come across you know
- 30:58Speaker 1: and that's how algorithms work people and It took me
- 31:01Speaker 1: a while to realize that not everybody was seeing what
- 31:03Speaker 1: I was seeing. And so a few years ago, I'd
- 31:05Speaker 1: bring up weird topics on this show. And you guys
- 31:06Speaker 1: still like to remind me about the weird topics I
- 31:08Speaker 1: brought up. I don't bring them up anymore. It's because
- 31:10Speaker 1: I was going down a rabbit hole and I thought
- 31:12Speaker 1: the whole world was seeing what I was seeing.
- 31:14Speaker 4: Yeah, my algorithm is now because I watched a lot
- 31:18Speaker 4: of that guy getting eaten by a tiger. And now,
- 31:20Speaker 4: so all I want, I got about nine people getting
- 31:23Speaker 4: eaten by animals.
- 31:25Speaker 1: I had a horrible dream because of that tiger thing.
- 31:28Speaker 1: I had a dream that a wild, ugly coyote got
- 31:31Speaker 1: into my bedroom, but I was able to hide in
- 31:34Speaker 1: a closet while two people got it out. And they
- 31:37Speaker 1: were like, oh no, we enjoyed having the thing. It
- 31:40Speaker 1: was just a weird dream, but it was because I
- 31:42Speaker 1: saw that thing. Like a wild animal. But I'll tell
- 31:45Speaker 1: you about this thing. This guy goes, I just want
- 31:49Speaker 1: to tell you about my experience with Sebastian.
- 31:52Speaker 4: Yeah, that's the other thing. People are dragging him now.
- 31:55Speaker 1: Yeah, he goes, I was opening for him, featuring for
- 31:58Speaker 1: him or whatever at Cobbs. Now I just come from Cobbs.
- 32:03Speaker 1: And I'm like, hey, how are you? And he was
- 32:06Speaker 1: just like, hey, I'm good. And Sebastian didn't ask him
- 32:09Speaker 1: about his life, didn't talk to him the whole time
- 32:11Speaker 1: that they're in the green room together for four shows.
- 32:13Speaker 4: That's perfectly fine.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Wait, hold on. So then he goes, then... Not Bill Burr,
- 32:17Speaker 1: but what's the other guy's name that's like a delight
- 32:20Speaker 1: that everyone loves? Fuck, I don't know. Some other famous comedian.
- 32:24Speaker 4: Okay.
- 32:24Speaker 1: He's like, hey, I'm doing the theater down the street.
- 32:26Speaker 1: How you guys doing? Want to all get a drink?
- 32:30Speaker 4: Brian Regan. That was it? He always takes people out
- 32:33Speaker 4: for drinks.
- 32:33Speaker 1: Yeah, so Brian Regan comes by and then he goes, oh,
- 32:35Speaker 1: you know, Brian Regan like, you know, took me out
- 32:39Speaker 1: and how much nicer Brian Regan was than Sebastian. And
- 32:44Speaker 1: I kind of was like, this is the way I
- 32:45Speaker 1: feel when a makeup artist says, Blake Lively was quiet
- 32:49Speaker 1: in the makeup chair, never asked me about my daughter.
- 32:53Speaker 1: And then he goes on about, you know, Naomi Watts
- 32:56Speaker 1: being such a delight. It's like, okay.
- 32:59Speaker 4: That's just the way some people are.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Why can't some people just be quiet? Like, sorry. You know,
- 33:05Speaker 1: he was probably burnt out and maybe he just didn't
- 33:07Speaker 1: want to spend the 20 minutes before he went on
- 33:09Speaker 1: stage saying, talking to you. Now I do talk to
- 33:12Speaker 1: my people and I will ask him a million questions
- 33:14Speaker 1: that I follow them and everything. But I mean, I,
- 33:18Speaker 1: what were you going to say about that?
- 33:20Speaker 4: I was going to say that, you know, I'm, I
- 33:22Speaker 4: do that every weekend and my features a lot of
- 33:25Speaker 4: times will tell me about somebody who is so much fun,
- 33:28Speaker 4: like a bird Christ or something. And, and I tell
- 33:30Speaker 4: them right up front, I'm like, I'm, I'm not that person.
- 33:33Speaker 4: That's not happening this weekend. So whatever they did, I'm
- 33:37Speaker 4: glad you have that memory, but it won't be happening
- 33:39Speaker 4: this week. Like, I probably won't talk much. I just,
- 33:43Speaker 4: you know.
- 33:43Speaker 1: Well, I can't wait to see the TikTok about you.
- 33:45Speaker 4: No, but I'm like a quiet. That's what I'm saying.
- 33:46Speaker 4: I'm not a dick.
- 33:48Speaker 2: Right.
- 33:48Speaker 1: It's okay. Like, he didn't even say, he didn't say
- 33:51Speaker 1: he was, he just said he was quiet and didn't
- 33:53Speaker 1: really talk to him. And I'm like, well, you don't
- 33:55Speaker 1: know what he was going through. You don't know if
- 33:56Speaker 1: he had like a relative that was dying.
- 33:58Speaker 4: Right.
- 33:58Speaker 1: And he had to like get in his funny mood.
- 34:01Speaker 1: And I'm just like.
- 34:02Speaker 4: Or he's just like a quiet guy, which a lot
- 34:04Speaker 4: of comedians are.
- 34:05Speaker 1: Because you're on all the fucking time, and you have
- 34:08Speaker 1: to be on. Some people just have to literally save
- 34:10Speaker 1: their energy. I can go all day, do shows, and
- 34:14Speaker 1: be nice, and da-da-da-da. But, you know, I mean, I'm
- 34:18Speaker 1: still haunted by my experience in that show in Atlanta.
- 34:25Speaker 1: I wouldn't tell you it again.
- 34:26Speaker 4: I remember it very well. It was one of my favorites.
- 34:30Speaker 1: But it was such an awful story. And I'm like,
- 34:32Speaker 1: it's those kind of things that then there's another story
- 34:34Speaker 1: that will come out. And then people are like, oh,
- 34:36Speaker 1: put it all together. And now finally, I feel like
- 34:39Speaker 1: my character and reputation has finally come back to where
- 34:43Speaker 1: it's supposed to be.
- 34:43Speaker 4: Oh, yeah. Is it good again?
- 34:45Speaker 1: It's good again. I think it's good. Oh, there's still
- 34:47Speaker 1: some fuckers out there. But I think finally people are like, okay,
- 34:49Speaker 1: we've been listening to her for 11 years. Like, I
- 34:51Speaker 1: think we kind of understand who she is as a
- 34:54Speaker 1: human and her work ethic. And like, she's not out
- 34:56Speaker 1: to like destroy people's lives. Okay. But... What happened was
- 35:00Speaker 1: I was doing this show in Atlanta and they're like, hey,
- 35:04Speaker 1: there's this girl that works on a local radio station.
- 35:06Speaker 1: Would you like her to open for you or whatever?
- 35:09Speaker 1: And I go, yeah, that's cool. Like, that's fine. And
- 35:11Speaker 1: then you'll go on the radio show and talk to
- 35:13Speaker 1: them to promote it. I go, great. So I do
- 35:16Speaker 1: the call in and they're like, yeah, whatever her name,
- 35:20Speaker 1: I'm not going to say her name. I'm going to
- 35:21Speaker 1: call her Lindsay. They're like, yeah, Lindsay is headlining with you.
- 35:26Speaker 1: And I was kind of like, I mean, she's opening
- 35:28Speaker 1: for you. And I go, yeah, yeah, I'm excited to
- 35:29Speaker 1: meet her. So we do this little fun thing to
- 35:31Speaker 1: promote the show. And then I see her that night
- 35:36Speaker 1: and I go, hey, you know, all right, you're doing,
- 35:40Speaker 1: you know, she goes, yeah, I'm doing this amount of
- 35:43Speaker 1: time and this other guy's doing 10 minutes. And I'm like, no,
- 35:45Speaker 1: I only wanted, I made it very clear. I only
- 35:47Speaker 1: have one person open for me, you know, and I
- 35:50Speaker 1: wanted you to do 20. So now, and she's like, anyway,
- 35:53Speaker 1: they get rid of the guy, but I'll never approve
- 35:55Speaker 1: the guy. So then she goes and I said, and also,
- 35:58Speaker 1: can you not be dirty? And she's like, what? I,
- 36:02Speaker 1: my whole act is about how I give my husband
- 36:04Speaker 1: a blow job and my in-laws are coming tonight. And
- 36:07Speaker 1: I really wanted them to see it. And she wasn't joking.
- 36:09Speaker 1: I was like, wait, what? I go, well, I'd prefer
- 36:12Speaker 1: you not to be so dirty, you know, like.
- 36:14Speaker 4: Yeah. And that's perfectly acceptable of the headliner to do.
- 36:19Speaker 1: Yeah. And I'm like, but now I talked, if it's
- 36:22Speaker 1: not someone I know, I do talk to them a
- 36:23Speaker 1: few days before and tell them.
- 36:25Speaker 4: Right.
- 36:25Speaker 1: Like, these are the things I'd prefer you not to
- 36:28Speaker 1: touch upon. And so I give you plenty of time
- 36:31Speaker 1: that like, don't do the anal sex joke, whatever. So anyway,
- 36:36Speaker 1: so then it goes fine. And the next day I'm like, oh,
- 36:42Speaker 1: where is she? Is she here yet? And I didn't
- 36:47Speaker 1: see her and she's ignored. She comes out, she's all
- 36:49Speaker 1: mean to me when she comes off stage. I'm like, whatever.
- 36:52Speaker 1: And then they go on the radio and she does
- 36:54Speaker 1: this entire story of how I was the cruelest, meanest
- 36:58Speaker 1: person and I wouldn't let her in the green room.
- 37:01Speaker 1: And I'm like, First of all, I didn't even know
- 37:03Speaker 1: there was a secondary green room at the City Winery
- 37:05Speaker 1: in Atlanta. I thought she was late. I didn't know
- 37:07Speaker 1: where she was. Because I was like, hey, where is she?
- 37:11Speaker 1: Let me talk to her because I feel like I
- 37:14Speaker 1: sprung that don't be too dirty the night before. She says,
- 37:16Speaker 1: I threw this young guy on the street so he
- 37:19Speaker 1: couldn't perform. I'm like... This is not a comedy club.
- 37:22Speaker 1: This was a set thing.
- 37:23Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 37:24Speaker 1: And anyway, and so, oh my God, everyone, I called in,
- 37:29Speaker 1: the radio station was so happy that I called in
- 37:32Speaker 1: to defend myself because they played that thing over and
- 37:34Speaker 1: over and over again. And I would get all these tweets,
- 37:38Speaker 1: justice for Lindsay. And like, you're the meanest bitch that
- 37:41Speaker 1: ever lived. And eventually the dumb radio show fired her. Oh, yeah?
- 37:45Speaker 4: Yeah, they fired her. And she went on to great
- 37:47Speaker 4: success in comedy.
- 37:48Speaker 1: Then she was like, I'm going to tell my truth
- 37:49Speaker 1: about working for this weird radio show. And now she's disappeared.
- 37:53Speaker 1: Who knows? She's not doing anything or whatever.
- 37:56Speaker 4: Unfortunately, we're not going to get to hear that blowjob bit.
- 38:00Speaker 1: But it was just kind of that thing. And I'm like,
- 38:02Speaker 1: Oh God, like who has a story about, and I
- 38:05Speaker 1: remember I walked in and they like didn't have my music. They,
- 38:07Speaker 1: there was like 12 things that were wrong, but I
- 38:09Speaker 1: still was like the next night I tried to like
- 38:12Speaker 1: make up with her and I, and on the radio
- 38:13Speaker 1: I was like, listen, there was massive miscommunication happening between
- 38:17Speaker 1: all of the club and new and everything. And then
- 38:20Speaker 1: I was like, maybe I'll never come back to Atlanta again.
- 38:21Speaker 1: And I was like, no, this chick's not going to
- 38:24Speaker 1: ruin my, so I did go back. But it was
- 38:25Speaker 1: just one of those things where it's like, And as
- 38:28Speaker 1: a woman, it's like always like you're the meanest bitch.
- 38:31Speaker 1: Like you're the diva. You know, like if a woman's,
- 38:34Speaker 1: you know, if a guy, it's like, oh, he's a
- 38:36Speaker 1: tough boss. Right. But if you're a tough boss as
- 38:39Speaker 1: a woman, it's not she's a tough boss. It's like she's,
- 38:42Speaker 1: you know, a total fucking cunt that's particular about shit
- 38:45Speaker 1: that doesn't have to be particular. Right. It's always like
- 38:47Speaker 1: a different. So. Yeah.
- 38:50Speaker 4: Anyway, also people should know that. I'm defending myself now
- 38:55Speaker 4: for being a prick on the road. But, you know,
- 38:58Speaker 4: for us to get to the comedy club, it's a
- 39:01Speaker 4: long journey.
- 39:02Speaker 1: That's true, too.
- 39:03Speaker 4: Like we had to get up at five, fly all day. Yeah,
- 39:06Speaker 4: or fly overnight.
- 39:07Speaker 1: And now we're sitting in the green room and we
- 39:09Speaker 1: have 20 minutes. To like get our thoughts together.
- 39:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 39:12Speaker 4: You used to get picked up in like a dirty
- 39:14Speaker 4: car from one of the bus boys would drive you
- 39:16Speaker 4: in that dirty car with like smelled like cigarettes. And
- 39:19Speaker 4: I mean, these are the things that you said by
- 39:22Speaker 4: the time you got to the comedy club, you'd been
- 39:24Speaker 4: through fucking hell. So a lot of times if people
- 39:27Speaker 4: were ornery, that's a perfectly acceptable, I believe as a
- 39:31Speaker 4: guy who was, and then you play shitholes, you know?
- 39:35Speaker 4: And so there's all that, you know, it's half filled
- 39:38Speaker 4: or whatever. So you got that bumming you out. So
- 39:41Speaker 4: I love the people who go.
- 39:42Speaker 1: The girl, they filmed her talking about me. And the
- 39:45Speaker 1: girl brought that, like, it was Halloween time. So I
- 39:48Speaker 1: think she had that scary, like, Caroline face. Caroline, that
- 39:51Speaker 1: little doll, that skeleton. And that was me. Oh. She
- 39:55Speaker 1: acted it out because at the time I was doing
- 39:57Speaker 1: a lot of Barbie sketches.
- 39:58Speaker 4: Oh, I remember those days.
- 40:00Speaker 1: So she made me this, like, horrible, scary character. Yeah.
- 40:04Speaker 1: I was just like, fuck.
- 40:05Speaker 4: She couldn't get the saw puppet.
- 40:06Speaker 1: And here I was like, and here I went out
- 40:08Speaker 1: of my way to call into the radio the next
- 40:09Speaker 1: day and be like, girl, like this was wrong. And
- 40:12Speaker 1: I mean, it was just so ridiculous. Like why even cared?
- 40:15Speaker 1: I should have just like never said it. That's what
- 40:17Speaker 1: I also realized. Like, don't defend yourself.
- 40:19Speaker 4: That's kind of it.
- 40:19Speaker 1: I'm sure Sebastian's like, all right, listen, I'm still going
- 40:22Speaker 1: to sell out the arena. Like, I mean, people are
- 40:24Speaker 1: going to still bring their grandmother to see me.
- 40:26Speaker 4: Anyway, I hope everybody makes a million dollars, but you know,
- 40:29Speaker 4: I'm sorry to see anyone lose out on money, but
- 40:31Speaker 4: we all lose out on money. Like we made money.
- 40:33Speaker 4: You and Chelsea lately ended. We lost, you know, We
- 40:35Speaker 4: found something else. You kind of have to do that.
- 40:38Speaker 1: This episode of Juicy Scoop is sponsored by Nutrafol. Have

- 40:45Speaker 1: certain length? And you've been trying to grow it. You've
- 40:48Speaker 1: been patient. Well, sometimes the issue isn't growth. It's about
- 40:51Speaker 1: strengthening your strands because breakage can take away the inches

- 41:37Speaker 1: your hair against the heat and styling stress that can
- 41:40Speaker 1: contribute to breakage. I have been loving it. I use it,
- 41:45Speaker 1: and it has really helped my split ends, helps just
- 41:48Speaker 1: give me that extra shiny bounce in my hair. With
- 41:51Speaker 1: Nutrafol Strand Serum, your length goals are officially in reach.

- 42:06Speaker 1: Shane Gillis, I talked about.
- 42:08Speaker 4: His More stand up.
- 42:37Speaker 1: Talked about on the SNL opening. And I just saw
- 42:41Speaker 1: the clip of the monologue. And then I saw that,
- 42:44Speaker 1: you know, people were very angry that he said. Now,
- 42:48Speaker 1: what he said was, I go to the gym and
- 42:51Speaker 1: I see these booty shorts and the wrinkles, like the
- 42:53Speaker 1: little wrinkles up the butt cheeks. And he's like, so angry.
- 42:57Speaker 1: So women are just dressing like whores now. That's what
- 43:00Speaker 1: we're doing. Okay. Something like that. But he said dressing.
- 43:03Speaker 1: He didn't say women are all whores now.
- 43:04Speaker 4: No, he said women dress like whores at the gym.
- 43:07Speaker 1: So a lot of people came after me a little
- 43:11Speaker 1: bit because on the last show, I just said, you know,
- 43:15Speaker 1: these were the beats of the bit and you know, it's,
- 43:19Speaker 1: is it the most clever thing in the world? No,
- 43:21Speaker 1: but the way he told it, it, I thought it
- 43:24Speaker 1: was funny. Like I thought it was funny. I laughed.
- 43:26Speaker 1: I thought it was funny and it's comedy. Maybe it's
- 43:28Speaker 1: not the best. Maybe he wanted to do something edgy
- 43:30Speaker 1: that would get everybody riled up.
- 43:32Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 43:33Speaker 1: But people are just like mad that I wasn't, I'm like, look,
- 43:36Speaker 1: it's different. It's standup is different than if he was
- 43:41Speaker 1: standing on on the steps of a courthouse. Like it's just,
- 43:45Speaker 1: that's what it is. It's just him doing standup.
- 43:47Speaker 4: Right. Yeah. I, I mean, I just felt it was
- 43:50Speaker 4: kind of like a, a lazy bit. It was, you know,
- 43:54Speaker 4: for the monologue of, of Sunday live, which is a
- 43:57Speaker 4: pretty big deal. Um, I just felt it was, I'm not,
- 44:01Speaker 4: I'm not all that familiar with Shane Gillis's material. Of
- 44:03Speaker 4: course I know he's the biggest comic in the world
- 44:05Speaker 4: right now, but, uh, I don't know his material all
- 44:08Speaker 4: that well. I know people love him.
- 44:09Speaker 1: I mean, the only thing you're thinking of is maybe
- 44:11Speaker 1: this is, the tamest stuff and he didn't want to,
- 44:15Speaker 1: and he had to come up with the tamest stuff
- 44:17Speaker 1: or he wanted to come up, he didn't want to
- 44:19Speaker 1: give his best stuff on SNL. He wanted to save
- 44:22Speaker 1: it for his whatever roadshow. And then maybe he wanted
- 44:26Speaker 1: people to get riled up. Maybe he wanted to use
- 44:29Speaker 1: the word whores and sluts and stuff to get everyone
- 44:33Speaker 1: talking about it.
- 44:33Speaker 4: I mean, I feel like shock comedy is nothing new,
- 44:35Speaker 4: you know?
- 44:36Speaker 1: Right.
- 44:36Speaker 4: So, yeah.
- 44:37Speaker 1: I didn't think it was shocking though.
- 44:38Speaker 4: No, it's not that, I didn't find it that shocking either.
- 44:40Speaker 4: I just, honestly, the whore part not to sound insensitive
- 44:44Speaker 4: to people who are offended, but I.
- 44:46Speaker 1: Felt- Not to be offensive to whores.
- 44:48Speaker 4: You know what I mean? I felt the other stuff
- 44:49Speaker 4: was like, it was just like a weak joke. Yeah.
- 44:53Speaker 4: That's all I thought. I mean, I felt like it
- 44:57Speaker 4: was a guy just riffing and it was almost like
- 44:59Speaker 4: an open mic.
- 44:59Speaker 1: Yeah, it was a riff. I don't think it was
- 45:01Speaker 1: the kind of like, oh, I'm pissed that girls are
- 45:04Speaker 1: wearing skimpy clothes. I think he's just saying like, It's
- 45:07Speaker 1: kind of a hard position to be in because it's true.
- 45:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 45:10Speaker 1: Women have incredible bodies. The workout clothes. I mean, listen,
- 45:14Speaker 1: they were skimpy back then. I remember when I was
- 45:16Speaker 1: at USC, I would wear the biker shorts with a
- 45:20Speaker 1: leotard with a G-string over the shorts.
- 45:26Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, yeah. Like Jamie Lee Curtis in Perfect.
- 45:28Speaker 1: Yeah. And then I remember the standards of the sorority
- 45:32Speaker 1: were like, Yeah, you got to wear like a sweatshirt
- 45:34Speaker 1: around you if you're going to like walk to the
- 45:36Speaker 1: gym like that. And I was like, really? Okay. I
- 45:38Speaker 1: thought everyone could wear it. Like I kind of was like, oh,
- 45:41Speaker 1: this is like a talkable moment.
- 45:43Speaker 4: Okay, fine.
- 45:44Speaker 1: But I mean, I just think, I just think, listen,
- 45:49Speaker 1: it's stand up. But in this day and age, anyone
- 45:52Speaker 1: can comment on anything and you have every right to
- 45:54Speaker 1: say it wasn't funny. It pissed me off. I hate him.
- 45:58Speaker 1: I'm going to make a video and get 300,000 views
- 46:00Speaker 1: of it. You have every right to do that, so
- 46:02Speaker 1: just go do it. But if you really are in
- 46:05Speaker 1: a comedy club and you picked apart every sentence that
- 46:09Speaker 1: comics were saying, then things could be very offensive.
- 46:12Speaker 4: That's why it's hard for me to have a comment
- 46:14Speaker 4: on this because in stand-up, you have to throw everything
- 46:16Speaker 4: at the wall and see what's– a lot of it's
- 46:19Speaker 4: going to be shit.
- 46:20Speaker 1: And if something is offensive in the hour and 10 minutes, yeah,
- 46:24Speaker 1: take it out. But if you listen to the whole
- 46:26Speaker 1: hour and 10 minutes, you, the person, the comic has
- 46:29Speaker 1: told you enough other jokes and things that, you know,
- 46:32Speaker 1: that they're not a horrible racist person, like, or a
- 46:35Speaker 1: misogynistic person. You just know that they are coming from
- 46:39Speaker 1: an angle of their perspective and whatever. And it's like,
- 46:42Speaker 1: but you know, sure. Be mad. Think he's a pig.
- 46:45Speaker 4: I don't know. I don't care.
- 46:46Speaker 1: I mean, I'm explaining it.
- 46:48Speaker 4: I'm actually surprised. At the numbers that Saturday Night Live
- 46:51Speaker 4: still gets. Like, I feel like this was a big,
- 46:53Speaker 4: I saw ratings and it was pretty, pretty big. I
- 46:57Speaker 4: guess Saturday Night Live still holds some, some heat.
- 47:00Speaker 1: I think, you know, I think he brings, he's a
- 47:03Speaker 1: big comic.
- 47:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 47:05Speaker 1: And they were like, oh, why did you bring him back?
- 47:07Speaker 4: This guy sold out Eagles Stadium. It was like 75,000
- 47:09Speaker 4: tickets or something.
- 47:12Speaker 1: I mean, so they know that there's a group of
- 47:15Speaker 1: people that know him that will turn on SNL just
- 47:19Speaker 1: for that night. That is why they're picking him. Versus
- 47:22Speaker 1: some little starlet. The thing is, who can they bring
- 47:29Speaker 1: in that's actually going to turn on their TV that
- 47:31Speaker 1: night and not just watch a clip? That's who they
- 47:34Speaker 1: should probably focus on. And that's going to be people
- 47:37Speaker 1: a little older and a little more center oriented.
- 47:40Speaker 4: Well, in a couple of weeks, they just announced that
- 47:42Speaker 4: they're having their first influencer ever host on iLive. Who
- 47:46Speaker 4: is it? Drewski. You know that guy, Drewski?
- 47:48Speaker 1: Brilliant.
- 47:49Speaker 4: Yeah, he's hosting.
- 47:50Speaker 1: I was just thinking he should.
- 47:52Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 47:53Speaker 1: I mean, he's an influencer, but he did everything that SNL,
- 47:56Speaker 1: Matt TV, and he did it on his own. And
- 48:00Speaker 1: he's brilliant and funny, and I think that is a
- 48:03Speaker 1: perfect choice. Yeah. I mean, better than an Alex Earl
- 48:06Speaker 1: or something. At least they're picking someone that's, An influencer
- 48:09Speaker 1: who's an actual comedian. Right. You know, so good for him. Okay, well,
- 48:14Speaker 1: speaking of stand-ups who were huge at the time, I
- 48:17Speaker 1: started to watch Funny Money. You can watch it on
- 48:20Speaker 1: Apple TV, you know, and like YouTube if you pay.
- 48:23Speaker 1: It's a documentary about how his brother, his half-brother.
- 48:28Speaker 4: Dane Cook.
- 48:29Speaker 1: Dane Cook. Sorry, I never said his name. Dane Cook,
- 48:32Speaker 1: his half-brother, stole like millions and millions of dollars. And,
- 48:40Speaker 1: you know, it's very well done. It starts out, you know, look,
- 48:44Speaker 1: he wants to, it's his documentary. So it starts out
- 48:47Speaker 1: very much his whole life, which listen, if you and
- 48:50Speaker 1: I are going to have a documentary, you're going to
- 48:53Speaker 1: see my little St. Mel's school. You're going to see
- 48:56Speaker 1: my bus benches with my parents. You're going to see
- 49:00Speaker 1: all the things that I've already put in my books.
- 49:01Speaker 1: You're going to see that I struggled and this was
- 49:04Speaker 1: my first flyer and stuff like that. But I'm always
- 49:07Speaker 1: just like, I wonder if that's like not interesting to
- 49:10Speaker 1: someone who's not a comedy person. Maybe it is.
- 49:13Speaker 4: Does he do that in there?
- 49:13Speaker 1: Yes. It's a lot like the first 40 minutes are
- 49:15Speaker 1: kind of like where he got. And the thing that
- 49:18Speaker 1: I always remembered about his story that was so... interesting
- 49:22Speaker 1: is I remember reading in the LA Times because it
- 49:25Speaker 1: was like he just bursted and it was like, who
- 49:27Speaker 1: is this guy? And because he was like cute and
- 49:29Speaker 1: like kind of my age, I was like, who is
- 49:31Speaker 1: this cute, like tall guy? And in it, he said
- 49:34Speaker 1: how he is where he is because he was like
- 49:37Speaker 1: the first comic to get on MySpace.
- 49:39Speaker 4: MySpace, yeah.
- 49:39Speaker 1: He's the first person to use like the internet to
- 49:41Speaker 1: get people to know where you're performing, not waiting on someone,
- 49:46Speaker 1: you know, promoting it like old fashioned.
- 49:48Speaker 4: I remember people losing their minds for him.
- 49:51Speaker 1: Yes.
- 49:51Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 49:52Speaker 1: And then I remember watching the special and I was like, wow,
- 49:55Speaker 1: this is, this is it. Like, no offense, Dane. I
- 49:58Speaker 1: was just kind of like, wow, this is, this is
- 50:00Speaker 1: the hype. But I did think he was cute. I
- 50:02Speaker 1: did think he was appealing. So I could see why
- 50:03Speaker 1: he was getting cast and stuff. Now I do have
- 50:06Speaker 1: a Dane Cook story.
- 50:07Speaker 4: Okay.
- 50:09Speaker 1: Now I, maybe I was a little sensitive to this.
- 50:12Speaker 1: So now I'm looking back and I'm going to give
- 50:13Speaker 1: it a little grace, but I was, I had my
- 50:17Speaker 1: special coming out on Showtime. It was 2014. Tom Green
- 50:20Speaker 1: had like some weird talk show that i don't know
- 50:23Speaker 1: where you watched it but it was a talk show it.
- 50:25Speaker 4: Was like yeah the tom green show or something.
- 50:27Speaker 1: But it was like it was like after the time
- 50:29Speaker 1: like he went away and this was like his attempt
- 50:31Speaker 1: to come back but it was like a real set
- 50:33Speaker 1: and it was i was there to promote the the
- 50:36Speaker 1: special and dane cook was there and i remember either
- 50:40Speaker 1: i took dane cook's date and then dane's next special
- 50:43Speaker 1: was coming out in october and mine was coming out
- 50:45Speaker 1: in august and i go oh, you have a special
- 50:47Speaker 1: coming out on Showtime. He's like, yeah. I'm like, so
- 50:48Speaker 1: do I. I think they still were editing yours or something,
- 50:51Speaker 1: so they moved mine up and like yours. And he's like, really? Wow.
- 50:59Speaker 1: They're just getting everyone's specials now, aren't they?
- 51:01Speaker 4: Oh, really? Wow.
- 51:03Speaker 1: Now, do you think that he was being sarcastic or
- 51:05Speaker 1: do you think he was really trying to hurt my feelings?
- 51:08Speaker 4: I would say he was being sarcastic. He's kind of
- 51:11Speaker 4: a nice guy.
- 51:13Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know. I just kind of
- 51:15Speaker 1: was like, well, it was my first special. But I
- 51:18Speaker 1: also knew that people hated Chelsea Lately people that were comics.
- 51:22Speaker 4: They did.
- 51:23Speaker 1: Because if they couldn't get on it, they were like,
- 51:25Speaker 1: what the fuck? And they would go into a club
- 51:28Speaker 1: and they'd see someone like me headlining or you. And
- 51:32Speaker 1: they were like, they didn't do the hard work that
- 51:34Speaker 1: I did of going on the road for 10 years.
- 51:36Speaker 1: And so they were mad. And I was just like, okay, whatever.
- 51:42Speaker 1: I mean, you know, it's kind of like what people
- 51:43Speaker 1: feel like, oh, a TikToker sells out and whatever. Yeah,
- 51:46Speaker 1: I remember.
- 51:47Speaker 4: I remember. There were some clubs out there that would
- 51:49Speaker 4: just not even book Chelsea Lely people. Really? Heliums. I
- 51:53Speaker 4: remember Heliums being very anti. I don't know. I don't know.
- 51:59Speaker 4: I mean, I play them now, but it took a while.
- 52:01Speaker 1: That's interesting.
- 52:02Speaker 4: And believe me.
- 52:02Speaker 1: So I don't know. And, you know, it's just, again,
- 52:05Speaker 1: there are certain guys that just don't think like, Back
- 52:08Speaker 1: then that girls, or they were getting it for the
- 52:12Speaker 1: wrong reasons or because if you looked halfway decent, like
- 52:14Speaker 1: clearly you couldn't be funny or whatever. But his storytelling
- 52:19Speaker 1: is really good and it's really sad and he's with
- 52:21Speaker 1: his young wife, which is a juicy story.
- 52:24Speaker 4: Are they still together?
- 52:25Speaker 1: Yeah, she's in it.
- 52:26Speaker 4: How much younger is she than him?
- 52:28Speaker 1: She doesn't look overly, she looks like very, she's like
- 52:30Speaker 1: very natural in this.
- 52:31Speaker 4: Well, at the time, I think she was like 19,
- 52:33Speaker 4: but now she's probably- But he.
- 52:37Speaker 1: Used to have these parties. Remember when during the Me
- 52:40Speaker 1: Too thing, a lot of stuff came out. How he'd
- 52:42Speaker 1: have these parties with these really young girls. And she
- 52:46Speaker 1: was one of them. But he didn't date her until
- 52:48Speaker 1: she was 18. But she was coming to the parties, allegedly.
- 52:51Speaker 4: Oh, really?
- 52:52Speaker 1: Where they'd be playing Monopoly or something. I don't know
- 52:56Speaker 1: what it was. Like poker and young people. He was
- 52:58Speaker 1: into the young girls. Shoots and ladders.
- 53:00Speaker 4: What were they playing? Yeah. Oh, man. Yeah. I don't...
- 53:03Speaker 4: I mean, listen.
- 53:04Speaker 1: I understand why... like a 50-year-old man wants to be
- 53:07Speaker 1: with a 22-year-old.
- 53:08Speaker 4: I don't. I really don't. Going back to Vegas when
- 53:11Speaker 4: I walked into that pool party, I was like, there's
- 53:14Speaker 4: nothing that could interest me less than a bunch of
- 53:16Speaker 4: 19-year-old girls.
- 53:19Speaker 1: Well, I think it's a certain kind of guy, though.
- 53:22Speaker 4: Oh, okay. I guess I'm just not one of them.
- 53:25Speaker 4: I'm not saying I'm a saint.
- 53:26Speaker 1: I think it's a certain kind of guy that just
- 53:28Speaker 1: wants that relationship that's very much like, you know, she
- 53:34Speaker 1: never saw you struggle. She knows where you're at. She's
- 53:38Speaker 1: going to be excited to go to your shows. She's still,
- 53:41Speaker 1: you know, she's not over going to them. She's going
- 53:43Speaker 1: to go there and be excited. And then she's going
- 53:47Speaker 1: to be so grateful that you're giving her, her lifestyle.
- 53:50Speaker 1: She didn't, she, you didn't come up with it together.
- 53:53Speaker 1: So I, so then for that guy, I just think
- 53:57Speaker 1: it's like nice.
- 53:59Speaker 4: Right.
- 53:59Speaker 1: And he doesn't care to talk, you know, For hours
- 54:04Speaker 1: on end about important things. Like you'd rather just have
- 54:07Speaker 1: like a cute girl that's like enthusiastic.
- 54:10Speaker 4: For one or two nights, sure. But for like a
- 54:12Speaker 4: long relationship, I feel like talking's important.
- 54:15Speaker 1: Yeah. Ali Wong has this joke where I saw like
- 54:19Speaker 1: a clip of her special and she's like, you know,
- 54:23Speaker 1: when when the guy when your friend has the young girl. Yeah.
- 54:27Speaker 1: And she's like, but then we the women of a
- 54:29Speaker 1: certain age and mental capacity, we have to carry the
- 54:33Speaker 1: weight of the evening.
- 54:34Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 54:35Speaker 1: We don't want to have to. we don't want to
- 54:37Speaker 1: hear about her crystals and her yoga. Like we don't
- 54:40Speaker 1: stick us in the room with her. And then you
- 54:43Speaker 1: want to come and bring her. And then, because you
- 54:46Speaker 1: want to be stimulated by women that actually you can
- 54:48Speaker 1: talk to. That's really go home and fuck me. And
- 54:52Speaker 1: we have to suffer. I remember one time Peter's friend
- 54:56Speaker 1: got divorced and he brought this girl to dinner and
- 54:59Speaker 1: I was trying to be nice. I didn't want to
- 55:00Speaker 1: be old, bitter Betty, you know, like I knew your wife,
- 55:03Speaker 1: you know, I wanted to be like, hey, you know what?
- 55:06Speaker 1: Everyone has a chance, and you might be lovely to
- 55:08Speaker 1: the kids. Anyway, we went to dinner, and we were
- 55:11Speaker 1: ordering food, and she did not know what sea bass was. Oh.
- 55:16Speaker 4: Wow. I mean, I could see that.
- 55:19Speaker 1: Not knowing what sea bass is at all?
- 55:21Speaker 4: There's a new fish out there that I ordered and
- 55:23Speaker 4: thought it was in a pasta dish. What's it called?
- 55:27Speaker 4: It's with a B. Fuck. You know what I'm talking about?
- 55:30Speaker 1: Branzino?
- 55:30Speaker 4: Branzino.
- 55:31Speaker 1: You thought.
- 55:32Speaker 4: Yeah, so I'm like that.
- 55:33Speaker 1: Is that Branzino with a pasta dish?
- 55:35Speaker 4: It sounded like a pasta dish to me. It does
- 55:37Speaker 4: sound like a pasta dish. This was about a couple
- 55:38Speaker 4: of years. In my defense, it was.
- 55:39Speaker 1: Branzino has made a splash.
- 55:42Speaker 4: I know.
- 55:42Speaker 1: Branzino was not around eight years ago.
- 55:45Speaker 4: No, neither was Seabass.
- 55:46Speaker 1: No, Seabass was around eight years ago.
- 55:47Speaker 4: It used to be called something else, though. They changed
- 55:49Speaker 4: it to Seabass and it started.
- 55:50Speaker 1: Seabass, Halibut, and Branzino are all kind of the same
- 55:54Speaker 1: sexy white fish.
- 55:54Speaker 4: Yeah, they're like white fish. Okay.
- 55:56Speaker 1: But they go in and out of style. You know
- 55:58Speaker 1: what has totally dropped off the face of the earth? Swordfish.
- 56:01Speaker 4: Swordfish.
- 56:02Speaker 1: Yeah. It's very rare that you see a soy fish.
- 56:04Speaker 4: That's true.
- 56:05Speaker 1: I don't like it. It's tough.
- 56:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 56:07Speaker 1: But anyway, go on.
- 56:07Speaker 4: My mother loves tilapia. Mom and dad.
- 56:10Speaker 1: That's the poor person.
- 56:11Speaker 4: That's what I told my mother. Oh, it's delicious, Christopher.
- 56:15Speaker 4: They get it at Costco.
- 56:16Speaker 1: Okay, well, what were you going to say about your Branzino?
- 56:19Speaker 1: So you ordered thinking you were getting it?
- 56:20Speaker 4: It's a couple of years ago when Branzino hadn't hit
- 56:23Speaker 4: big yet.
- 56:24Speaker 3: Okay.
- 56:24Speaker 4: Okay? So I saw Branzino... And I honestly did. I mean,
- 56:29Speaker 4: I know I sound like a complete idiot right now.
- 56:31Speaker 4: But I thought it was some sort of pasta. That
- 56:33Speaker 4: sounds like a pasta.
- 56:34Speaker 1: Yeah, it does.
- 56:35Speaker 4: Branzino. Let me have a little Branzino at the big gummy.
- 56:38Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it does.
- 56:40Speaker 4: Anyway, it came and it was a fucking fish with
- 56:42Speaker 4: like the, you know.
- 56:43Speaker 1: The face.
- 56:44Speaker 4: Yeah, the face.
- 56:45Speaker 1: Yeah, and they have to like de-bone it.
- 56:46Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 56:48Speaker 1: Now, were you on a date or anything? Could you admit?
- 56:49Speaker 4: No, it was like two of us was my wife.
- 56:51Speaker 1: Okay, so you couldn't admit. I thought it was.
- 56:53Speaker 4: oh, my wife was mortified when it came. She goes,
- 56:56Speaker 4: you didn't know it was fish? I'm like, I did not.
- 56:59Speaker 1: She's like rethinking her life. Yeah.
- 57:01Speaker 4: Oh, she was just like, well, now she knew I
- 57:03Speaker 4: was a moron, you know? So at that point, at
- 57:06Speaker 4: that point, all the secrets are gone.
- 57:09Speaker 1: There's no going back.
- 57:10Speaker 4: Yeah, right.
- 57:11Speaker 1: Well, okay. Well, he didn't end up with that girl
- 57:14Speaker 1: that didn't know what the sea bass was, but I
- 57:16Speaker 1: was just a little bit like, oh my God. Like,
- 57:18Speaker 1: I'm not out to talk to someone that's like, could
- 57:21Speaker 1: be my daughter. I don't want to go on a
- 57:24Speaker 1: vacation with someone that could be my daughter. If I'm
- 57:26Speaker 1: going to be with a 25-year-old and a girl, it's
- 57:30Speaker 1: going to be my daughter and my nieces. It's like, no.
- 57:33Speaker 4: You want me to give you the specials? Ask me
- 57:35Speaker 4: tonight's specials at Mirabelle Restaurant that I used to work
- 57:38Speaker 4: at with Meghan Markle because we had the same special
- 57:40Speaker 4: every single night and people didn't seem to notice.
- 57:43Speaker 3: Okay.
- 57:43Speaker 1: Do you guys have any specials?
- 57:45Speaker 4: Oh, actually, tonight we have an excellent pan-roasted Chilean sea
- 57:49Speaker 4: bass with a mango chutney and a coconut sticky rice.
- 57:53Speaker 1: Oh, actually, I would love that.
- 57:55Speaker 4: For real.
- 57:55Speaker 1: That's like totally up there.
- 57:56Speaker 4: It was fantastic.
- 57:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 57:58Speaker 4: Anyway, yeah. So I had to say that for about
- 58:00Speaker 4: every single night for about 12 years. Amazing.
- 58:05Speaker 1: Now, there has been a lot of deaths at amusement parks.
- 58:08Speaker 1: There was a new one.
- 58:10Speaker 4: Just like yesterday.
- 58:11Speaker 1: That happened at the Goliath roller coaster at Six Flags
- 58:14Speaker 1: in Georgia.
- 58:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 58:16Speaker 1: And it's, you know, horrible. And then there was the
- 58:19Speaker 1: other one. They stopped doing this one ride. What was
- 58:22Speaker 1: the name of the ride they stopped doing at Six
- 58:24Speaker 1: Flags in Valencia?
- 58:26Speaker 4: X2. It was hurting people's backs and stuff, right? Did
- 58:29Speaker 4: somebody die on it?
- 58:29Speaker 1: Let me tell you the experience I had on X2.
- 58:32Speaker 1: Because I spent my life having to go to, my
- 58:35Speaker 1: 40s were spent going to miniature golf, bowling, water parks,
- 58:40Speaker 1: and amusement parks.
- 58:41Speaker 4: Wow.
- 58:42Speaker 1: From 40 to 50.
- 58:43Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 58:43Speaker 1: That was.
- 58:45Speaker 4: Because of the boys.
- 58:45Speaker 1: Anytime I was not doing standup, that's what I was
- 58:47Speaker 1: doing on a Saturday or Sunday.
- 58:48Speaker 4: Because of your kids.
- 58:49Speaker 1: Because of the boys.
- 58:50Speaker 4: You were like an adult into that stuff.
- 58:51Speaker 1: No, I never, like it had been years since I'd,
- 58:54Speaker 1: and then I went all the time. And then finally
- 58:56Speaker 1: it got to a place where they were like, we're good.
- 58:59Speaker 1: And I was like, oh, thank God. And so, but
- 59:03Speaker 1: we'd go hardcore and like double pass and fast pass
- 59:07Speaker 1: and stay till the fireworks. And like, anyway, so there was...
- 59:10Speaker 1: was this one, that X2 and it was like a hand, like,
- 59:13Speaker 1: it was like, you kind of rolled you around and
- 59:16Speaker 1: I was not ever really scared of amusement rides. And
- 59:20Speaker 1: it's sweaty. You know, it's 110 degrees in Valencia. And
- 59:23Speaker 1: you know how I like to wear my little shorts,
- 59:24Speaker 1: my little chicken legs.
- 59:25Speaker 4: Sure.
- 59:25Speaker 1: And I'm sweating so bad.
- 59:27Speaker 4: Like a whore.
- 59:28Speaker 1: Like a whore. Like a whore.
- 59:30Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 59:32Speaker 1: I like the word slut.
- 59:33Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 59:34Speaker 1: I like slutty as a word.
- 59:35Speaker 4: You're better than a whore. It's better than a whore.
- 59:37Speaker 1: But anyway, so I'm like literally slipping, like slipping. I
- 59:44Speaker 1: could almost slip out of the chair because there was
- 59:48Speaker 1: a space and I'm not, I have these tiny little
- 59:50Speaker 1: chicken legs and it's sweating. And I remember after that,
- 59:54Speaker 1: I was like, I will never, ever go on that
- 59:56Speaker 1: ride again. And that was the only one that I
- 59:58Speaker 1: would sit out. I'd go on every other ride and
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: they just closed it because they said, Like by the
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: 20th lawsuit of people having brain damage, they're like, maybe
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: we should stop this ride.
- 1:00:08Speaker 4: I think they closed a second one now, too, at
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: the same Six Flags Magic Mountain. I think it's called
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: Magic Mountain, right?
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:00:14Speaker 4: They just closed two now. That one and the other one.
- 1:00:17Speaker 4: Because of, I guess because of this, the next day. Now,
- 1:00:22Speaker 4: how does this guy who fell out? I heard he
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: fell out completely. Yeah, he did.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: I saw the photo. Yeah.
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: So how does that happen? Like, is it something like that?
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: They slide out?
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: Like the little thing like snapped or was never down
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: or whatever, you know how they check it.
- 1:00:37Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: Oh my God. And being like so scared of checking
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: and having to check my kids and like, oh God,
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: I wonder like if these will continue.
- 1:00:47Speaker 4: I mean, some of the people who work there don't
- 1:00:49Speaker 4: seem like that, you know, they're not really checking. They
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: just rattle it and move on. waiting for the next
- 1:00:55Speaker 4: hit of meth.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: They do this, that one, what's that one Drake that's
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: like white and it's right when you get to right
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: at the beginning of magic mountain. And they kind of
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: do that thing where they're like, go, okay, one, two,
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: and then you take off. So it's like, so you're
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: not full throttle. That one's kind of fun. I have
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: to say, but then you, it's like, and then you
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: go upside down and you really feel you're just as
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: you think you're going to fall out. Then you've reached
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: the other part.
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: I have not been on a roller coaster in a long,
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: long time.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: I mean, I would never go again now. I was
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: always thinking they should have massages and chiropractors at the place. Yeah.
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: I would totally sit and go get one if that
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: was the case. But it's very, lots of things happening. Okay.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: The Girls, Girls with Lena Dunham, is returning to HBO
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: after 10 years with the original cast. And they're just
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: going to do like five shows. But they're going to
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: be like themselves and their characters.
- 1:01:51Speaker 4: I don't know. I did see a little thing on
- 1:01:53Speaker 4: Instagram where they're all pretending they're on like a Zoom call.
- 1:01:56Speaker 4: And like, what are you doing this summer? You want
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: to do it again? And then they bring in the
- 1:02:00Speaker 4: other guy who was on, Andrew Rannells, I think his
- 1:02:01Speaker 4: name was. He comes on and he goes, I'll do
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: it too. But you know who doesn't pop up and
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: say he's going to do it? Adam Driver, who's a
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: big star now. So I don't think he's coming back.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: I don't think they need him.
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: No, he was like the biggest part of it.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: I know, but he.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: That's fine. He was a dick. He was a dick
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: who then got with that girl when she was with him.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: So it makes sense that he wouldn't be in their
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: lives and that he would have probably gone on. His
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: character probably would have gone on and married some... His
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: character should be twice divorced and then married some really
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: rich and living a very hypocritical life. That's what they
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: should make his life be.
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: Or he does come back and it's a surprise and
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: he shows up like John Corbett did with that weird
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: jacket on. in this section. What was it called? And
- 1:02:48Speaker 4: Just Like That.
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: And Just Like That, which I bring up weekly.
- 1:02:50Speaker 4: Have they learned nothing from And Just Like That? I
- 1:02:52Speaker 4: feel like this is exactly the same thing. 10 years later,
- 1:02:55Speaker 4: another sequel.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: I watched this like 50%.
- 1:02:58Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: Like there'd be seasons where I didn't watch it and
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: then I'd come and start watching it. And I was
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: really just so fascinated when it started because these girls
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: were living in New York and I just couldn't get
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: over how they didn't wear under eye concealer. they like
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: looked so not put together because they're younger than I am.
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: And I just was like, is that what young girls
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: are doing in New York? Like coming from sex in
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: the city, coming from like glam and putting yourself together.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: And they were like this younger generation that looked like shit.
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: Like even if they were pretty, they like, like even
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: this girl, like look at her, like not a speckle
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: of makeup, mousy hair.
- 1:03:40Speaker 4: Yeah. Well, I think it was like the end and,
- 1:03:43Speaker 4: the anti-sex in the city. I think that was kind
- 1:03:45Speaker 4: of its appeal.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: But I loved the writing and I loved the relationships
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: and I loved the acting, but I would just have
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: to be like, how... is Lena Dunham getting these guys?
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: And I'm like, well, she's the Woody Allen every time.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: She's just writing in hot guys and hot storylines for her.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: And she was so appealing and funny that then you're like, yeah,
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: of course the guy would be badly in love with her.
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: Just like you'd be watching Woody Allen and be like, yeah,
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: I guess I would love a tiny little skinny, ugly
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: thing that's 35 years older than I am because Merrill
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: Whittingham or whatever, Merrill Whittingham, Merrill Hemingway, he's in love
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: with him. But I'm excited to see it. I mean, it,
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: she is a brilliant writer. It will be entertaining and
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: I will, I don't know it well enough to rip
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: on it no matter what the way I did. And
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: just like that. No. And it is one of my
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: biggest regrets of my life. That, that, that I ripped
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: on it so much.
- 1:04:44Speaker 4: That they got cancer. You wanted more.
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: I would have taken 10 more years of how corny
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: and bad and frustrating that show was. It brought me
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: the hate watch of it.
- 1:04:54Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: Me like so much joy and joy to watch it
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: with people.
- 1:05:00Speaker 4: I loved like, I used to enjoy like breaking it
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: down with you.
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: It was a time that I'll never have back and
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: that I truly regret. So if you are a girl's
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: fan and, Yeah. Don't, and you have a podcast, don't
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: do what I did. Don't just go on the phone
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: with your friend and rip it apart.
- 1:05:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: Because they might just go, fuck you.
- 1:05:23Speaker 4: Have you had anything since that, or do you see
- 1:05:25Speaker 4: anything on the horizon that could be a fun hate watch?
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: The Baywatch could be fun.
- 1:05:31Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: But it's like we know what we're getting into.
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: I think Baywatch does it a little tongue-in-cheek already.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: I know, I don't have anything that'll ever... I hope
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: to God, please bring me something. And when it comes,
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: I won't get to a place that I ruin their fun.
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: If I ever see Michael Patrick King or Sarah Jessica Parker,
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: if I'm ever in the same room with them, I
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: will say that I will go up and I will
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: say my biggest regret was ripping on that show for
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: comedic purposes.
- 1:06:04Speaker 4: I'm going to say this one and you could agree
- 1:06:06Speaker 4: or disagree. But I have a little bit of Haywatch,
- 1:06:10Speaker 4: and it's over now, but for Hacks. That used to
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: give me cringes. You know what?
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: I'm going to agree with that one.
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: Yeah. Especially the last season. I know people love it.
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: The last two seasons.
- 1:06:21Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: There would be moments that I was like, that was clever.
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: That was good. But it was getting really... It felt
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: like they were rushing to finish it.
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: A little bit. And where are we going with this?
- 1:06:33Speaker 4: Right. And.
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: And like, yeah, when did it turn for you? When
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: she got her late night show.
- 1:06:39Speaker 4: Yeah. Some of the jokes and some of the, like,
- 1:06:42Speaker 4: I was like, oh, boy.
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: And they were just always like, oh, so clever, so sassy.
- 1:06:47Speaker 4: Yes, I know.
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: Yeah, like, oh, I love a sassy lady. And I
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: always feel that, too. When someone finds out in a comic,
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: they're like, I love female comics. Like, you just think
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: that it's a certain kind of like. let me shove
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: it to the man. Like, that's like my act.
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: Like that's not my act. Like a Rita Rudner, like
- 1:07:05Speaker 4: some old eighties comic. Yeah.
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: Like I saw, I saw somebody, I saw like Tiggs
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: go after Shane Gillis. And she was like, I mean,
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: you know, Nikki Glaser, that's why Nikki Glaser is so great.
- 1:07:20Speaker 4: You know?
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: And I'm like, well, Nikki Glaser takes people's jokes. I mean,
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: like guys, girls, she's taking people's jokes. Whatever. Doesn't mean
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: she does it. Every joke doesn't mean she's a bad person,
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: but she does. And so it's just like, but to
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: someone just sitting at home, they don't know, you know,
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: and they're just like, Oh, I love a sassy lady
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: that just like gives you a zinger.
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: But I'm excited for this.
- 1:07:45Speaker 4: Me too. Okay.
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: This girl, she is this only fans model and she's
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: been found competent to stand trial for the alleged dating
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: app and burglaries. She targeted old men and young girls. Yeah. Oh,
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: I don't think to be like a lesbian. I think
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: she tried to find young girls that had money.
- 1:08:06Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: And acted like I'll be your travel companion and we
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: can go do fun things together and then would steal
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: from them.
- 1:08:13Speaker 4: And she was dating some like billionaire guy, right?
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: Yes. That what was his name? It starts with a C.
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:08:19Speaker 4: I think he ran for governor.
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: He was like her fiance or something. And so he's
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: coming after her. He claims that she tried to give
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: him ketamine when she was stealing from him.
- 1:08:27Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: And then they go, well, her name is Adva Lobby,
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: but she also was known as Mia Ventura, Shoshana and Shanna. Yeah. Wow.
- 1:08:37Speaker 4: She's got it.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: When you have multiple names.
- 1:08:39Speaker 4: Yeah. Oh God.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: I wonder if there's enough to make a doc out
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: of this or see a story. I don't feel like
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: there's enough scripted shows about a female grifter or like
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: a woman who kills her husband for money. Like a
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: multiple widow killer.
- 1:09:02Speaker 4: Do you remember that nose job that she has? The
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: one that everybody got a few years ago? That real
- 1:09:08Speaker 4: thin kind of.
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: This girl's nose job?
- 1:09:11Speaker 4: Yeah, it was almost Michael Jackson-y type. And a lot
- 1:09:14Speaker 4: of girls went and got that one. It seems to
- 1:09:16Speaker 4: have gone away now. But that was a look a
- 1:09:19Speaker 4: few years ago. Everyone got that thin ball on the
- 1:09:22Speaker 4: end nose job.
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: I feel like the look of the really thick fake
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: lashes that you get the extended lashes, the really thick
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: black ones. There's a whole thing of people getting their
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: lashes removed and starting from scratch.
- 1:09:37Speaker 4: Oh, my God. I hate it so much.
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: Now, these I put on when I do the show. Yeah.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: But then I wash them off. So I've never had these.
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: Oh yeah. And they're so thick and they just, and
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: they're too like curled. And then you add it with
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: like the lips.
- 1:09:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: And the hair extension. And I feel that whole look
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: is really going away.
- 1:10:03Speaker 4: Well, I feel like every girl who works at like
- 1:10:05Speaker 4: Cinnabon has those at lashes. I don't know if they're
- 1:10:07Speaker 4: like cheap ones or whatever, but it's just like, What's
- 1:10:10Speaker 4: that for?
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: I think it's one of those things that just like
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: when we would, when people get addicted to like tanning beds,
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: I think it's just like, you can't see yourself after
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: like this girl goes, I'm so, I can't, this is
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: what I look like without my lashes. And she was
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: this really beautiful skin. She was Asian. Like, and she
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: shows her boyfriend, he's never sitting without ashes. It's like, yeah,
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: you're fine.
- 1:10:32Speaker 4: Like, yeah, right.
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: And everyone's like, you're so pretty. Like, don't worry about it.
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: But it's just, I think it's just something that you
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: get so used to seeing yourself with. It's like the
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: same thing when like a man like shaves his beard
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: and his daughters are like crying and they're terrified. Cause
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: they're like, who is that? You know, it's just something that,
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: and I think it's the same type of thing, but
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: that look is definitely going out. Um, so Atsuka Okats,
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: I'm going to talk about her name. I was going
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: to get mad.
- 1:10:59Speaker 4: She's a comedian.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: How do you say her name?
- 1:11:01Speaker 4: Uh, I, I, I, uh, Okatsuka. Yeah.
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:11:04Speaker 4: I'm, she's kind of a big comedian. She's a big,
- 1:11:07Speaker 4: I don't think she's big enough to be doing this
- 1:11:08Speaker 4: type of stuff though.
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: I mean, she's an international comedian. You would totally recognize her.
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: She's very funny and she has very unique black, like
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: bowl haircut. Anyway, she did the cheerleading routine with the Rams.
- 1:11:22Speaker 4: Yeah. Monday night football last night.
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: Right. But is that going to be a thing where like,
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: my question is, I remember. Who do I need to
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: fuck to get on the Rams cheerlead squad?
- 1:11:32Speaker 4: James Corden did it once too. And it was, yeah.
- 1:11:35Speaker 4: Remember that? Remember when James Corden did it? Yeah.
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: When is he coming out?
- 1:11:39Speaker 4: Well, he's done now. I feel like, I feel like
- 1:11:43Speaker 4: he's fit. Like you don't see him much anymore.
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: I mean, when is he coming out?
- 1:11:46Speaker 4: Oh, I know that. I know what you mean. Um,
- 1:11:49Speaker 4: I mean, I don't think anyone cares anymore.
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: He was a person who had a horrible reputation.
- 1:11:52Speaker 4: I know. That's what kind of did him in.
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: My favorite story that I ever heard was he was
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: on a plane. No, no, it wasn't that he was
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: on a plane.
- 1:12:01Speaker 4: Oh, yes, it was.
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: Okay, he was on a plane. And the way the
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: person told the story was like so brilliant. They said
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: they were in first class with him. And this young
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: mother had three kids and she was trying to get
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: everything settled and settle the kids and all that. And
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: he was getting very annoyed. And she's like, you know,
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: and I'm thinking, yeah, it is annoying when there's kids
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: all in first class, but like deal with the dude,
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: like whatever. And then she realized it was his family.
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: And he was like not helping his wife.
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: Oh.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: And he was being annoyed. So she initially thought he
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: was James Corden who was annoyed with like, but it
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: was his own family.
- 1:12:36Speaker 4: Yeah. I mean, those were different times when we were
- 1:12:39Speaker 4: all into carpool karaoke and thought it was cute and fun.
- 1:12:42Speaker 4: I feel like we've taken a darker turn in the
- 1:12:45Speaker 4: last couple of years where we don't go for that
- 1:12:48Speaker 4: corny shit anymore.
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: Didn't he choose to end the show too?
- 1:12:52Speaker 4: I think so. I mean, I think the heat was on.
- 1:12:55Speaker 4: Because remember there was a restaurant, a very popular restaurant
- 1:12:58Speaker 4: in New York that kicked him out or something and
- 1:13:00Speaker 4: said he was banned for life.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: Didn't that happen after?
- 1:13:04Speaker 4: No, I think it was before. Maybe I could be
- 1:13:06Speaker 4: wrong on the timing.
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: I just wonder when people had such an easy gig
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: like that and they're just like, I'm so tired of it.
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: I just think there's got to be something better out there.
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: That should be like a sketch that they could do
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: on SNL and then someone who pops in and it's
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: like someone from someone that did that same thing that
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: regrets it. And it's like, Hey, let me tell you something.
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: You might just be a little tired. Like give it
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: a minute.
- 1:13:31Speaker 4: You take a vacation.
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: You work 12 hours a week and make 19 million
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: a year. Like let's just take it down a notch.
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: It's not so terrible, but yeah. Cause where is he?
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: He did a bunch of like movies and things.
- 1:13:42Speaker 4: Oh yeah. He was in cats.
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: There's something about just having that strong audience. It's like
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: into you every day. I mean, I know we have
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: the juicy scoopers. Um, Okay, I saw this, this Tyler
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: Perry thing. So Tyler Perry, I guess, had a couple
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: of movies come out.
- 1:13:57Speaker 4: He's got a million.
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: Well, because he does them in like 18 hours. What
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: do these people say? I was watching these people being interviewed.
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: And they're like, what was the filming schedule? And they're like,
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: it was insane. We did the whole movie in like
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: four days. I've never... Right. And we got paid by
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: the day. So you're welcome, Tyler Perry. There's a reason
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: why he has his own.
- 1:14:17Speaker 4: Studio in Manchin or whatever.
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: But this latest movie is... people have been like, have
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: you ever noticed in the Tyler Perry movies that it's
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: always like this woman and she has like three kids
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: from three different baby daddies, but she's also like an
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: incredible nurse and she's got like a mean mother she
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: has to take care of. But then while she's the nurse,
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: she meets the janitor and he's going to show her like,
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: this is what loves that. And he ends up marrying
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: the janitor. And they're like, that's always the storyline for
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: the women in the Tyler Perry movies. It's never, she
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: meets the doctor.
- 1:14:52Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: And he sweeps her off her feet and whatever. And
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: they open a clinic. Like it's always like a woman.
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: And then like another one was like, this woman worked
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: at a prison and she ended up with a prisoner.
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: Like it's always that she like falls for the guy
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: that has nothing to offer her, but he's kind of nice.
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: And the three other men that she was with before
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: were so awful that she'll take this loser. That's kind
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: of nice. And they're like, why does Tyler Perry write
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: for women like that?
- 1:15:18Speaker 4: Huh. That's interesting. I don't know if I've ever seen
- 1:15:20Speaker 4: a Tyler Perry movie outside of like the Madea ones.
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: I guess that, I mean, I guess people have proven
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: that that's kind of the storyline of like, you know,
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: like I watched this other one where this guy's toasting
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: and it's another Tyler Perry movie. And they're like, he's
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: toasting the family and his kids are the adults. And
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: he's like, I'd like to toast to your mother. We've
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: been married for 25 years now. I have cheated. So
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: many times on her. And, you know, it's just the
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: way it is. And I feel really badly. And everyone's like, dad, dad.
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: And then she's like, well, I've cheated too. And they're like,
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: what is that? Like, it just.
- 1:15:53Speaker 4: That was a Tyler Perry movie?
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: That was like one of the latest Tyler Perry movies. Yeah. Wow.
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: That was kind of weird.
- 1:15:59Speaker 4: Speaking of movies, did you see Digger? Did you? I did.
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 1:16:06Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: So everyone's saying it's a box office bomb.
- 1:16:09Speaker 4: Well, it was.
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: Tell me.
- 1:16:11Speaker 4: I liked it.
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: I thought it looked good from the previews. It is.
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: Did it do like an incredible?
- 1:16:15Speaker 4: But I could totally see why people wouldn't. It's certainly
- 1:16:18Speaker 4: not for everybody. But I went like opening day.
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:16:22Speaker 4: And yeah, I mean, I mean, I guess you can
- 1:16:24Speaker 4: give it away. You know, there was a couple of like,
- 1:16:27Speaker 4: you're watching it and all of a sudden just completely switches.
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:16:30Speaker 4: Like you think it's a real movie and then it
- 1:16:32Speaker 4: turns out it's not a real movie.
- 1:16:34Speaker 2: Oh.
- 1:16:35Speaker 4: Um, so I, I was in.
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: So that's the twist like?
- 1:16:38Speaker 4: That's the big twist. The big twist, it's, it's, it's
- 1:16:40Speaker 4: a play and they're rehearsing the play and you think
- 1:16:44Speaker 4: you're watching a movie and then it just, they just
- 1:16:46Speaker 4: yell cut at one point and they're all on stage
- 1:16:49Speaker 4: and Tom Cruise is just an actor playing that guy.
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: So then what happens?
- 1:16:54Speaker 4: Well, they go back into like back and forth from
- 1:16:57Speaker 4: being an actor to being in the play and to
- 1:16:59Speaker 4: being an actor, being in the play.
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: And so you think you liked it because you are
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: a theater actor at heart?
- 1:17:04Speaker 4: I think I liked it because, you know, people always
- 1:17:06Speaker 4: say movies aren't original anymore. Movies aren't really, you know,
- 1:17:08Speaker 4: that's why nobody goes to the movies. It's the same
- 1:17:10Speaker 4: thing over and over again. I mean, this couldn't have
- 1:17:12Speaker 4: been more original. I mean, it was wild.
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: So why do you think nobody went? Just because it's
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: Tom Cruise? I think because it's Tom Cruise, but he
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: doesn't look like Tom Cruise.
- 1:17:20Speaker 4: I think... You know.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: What I mean? I think people are so dumb that
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: you have to really lay it out.
- 1:17:26Speaker 4: I also think it's interesting that You've got to realize,
- 1:17:29Speaker 4: because Brad Pitt had a movie out too, which I
- 1:17:31Speaker 4: also saw, him and the dog in the woods.
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: Yeah, how was that?
- 1:17:34Speaker 4: It was okay. It was not bad. But both of
- 1:17:36Speaker 4: these guys are like 65 years old now, so I
- 1:17:39Speaker 4: don't think there's a younger generation out there. We don't,
- 1:17:42Speaker 4: because we know who they are. But there's a whole
- 1:17:44Speaker 4: younger generation who has no idea, really, who Tom Cruise
- 1:17:48Speaker 4: and Brad Pitt are. They could give a shit about
- 1:17:50Speaker 4: those guys. So I think this is the first time...
- 1:17:53Speaker 4: They're realizing, oh yeah, if they're not being Mission Impossible
- 1:17:57Speaker 4: or Top Gun, nobody cares about Tom Cruise.
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: Well, I have a great movie that's coming out. What?
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: It's called Breeder.
- 1:18:04Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: And my niece is married to the writer-director. And he
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: edited it himself, wrote it, been working on it for
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: eight years, went to Tribeca Film Festival. It's coming out
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: in the theaters and it's a horror film.
- 1:18:20Speaker 4: Oh, when's it coming out?
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: I think the 26th of October.
- 1:18:26Speaker 4: Okay. Horror films are doing very well right now. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: And we're going to go to like a Q &
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: A and they went, yeah. And the trailer, everybody was
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: dying over the trailer. Because it's about this guy who
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: thinks he meets this woman and he's trying to get
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: money to finish a thesis project, whatever. And he thinks
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: he's going to help her with her breeding project where
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: she's doing or whatever. And then he kind of gets
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: trapped in this place. And it's Dot from Glee, that actress.
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: You would recognize her. She's a great character actress. And
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: she's like, no, I'm breeding people now. And you are
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: the perfect specimen to be like the stud.
- 1:19:05Speaker 4: I'd watch that.
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: And he kind of gets trapped there. And... And what's
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: a great thing about Alex, her husband, it's like he
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: was not an Apple baby. He wasn't a Hollywood kid.
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: He just learned how to do film himself, YouTube himself,
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: all that stuff, and just never stopped. Oh, you know
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: what I do want to see, speaking of never stopping,
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: is I Am Rocky movie.
- 1:19:31Speaker 4: Oh, it's going to be amazing.
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: That is going to be so good.
- 1:19:34Speaker 3: I play Rocky.
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: That's the story of Sylvester Stallone. And the guy playing him, incredible.
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: And it's him, the story of Sylvester Stallone, writing Rocky
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: and refusing to have him not. Because I always remembered that.
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: When I was trying to sell TV shows and stuff,
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: and they were like, well, what if someone else played you?
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: Because no one knows who you are. And I was
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: always like, Rocky said no to that. Sylvester Stallone said, no,
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: I am Rocky. But I was like, no, it's fine.
- 1:20:07Speaker 4: Like, just take it.
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: Right. If it goes and if you never talk to
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: me again and I get one deal I did that
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: didn't go past the pilot writing. But it was like, yeah,
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: no matter what, this is what you're going to get
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: every episode. If you if they never want to see
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: your face again. Right. And I was like, no problem
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: to change my life every which way you want to.
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: I don't fucking care. It's a stupid sitcom. But he
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: stuck with it.
- 1:20:32Speaker 4: Yeah. You didn't see the one about to catch a predator.
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: I haven't seen that yet. Is it great?
- 1:20:42Speaker 4: I thought it was.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: I heard it was amazing.
- 1:20:45Speaker 4: I do understand why Chris Hansen would be like, why?
- 1:20:48Speaker 4: Why are you doing this to me? It is kind
- 1:20:51Speaker 4: of a strange attack on Chris Hansen for no reason.
- 1:20:54Speaker 4: But it's definitely a watchable movie.
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: You know what? Chris Hansen did my show. years ago,
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: I'm going to put it out on Patreon this, this weekend.
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: And cause I want to listen to it and then
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: I'll go see the show.
- 1:21:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: Um, I want to, yeah. Or yeah. Go to Heather, McDonald.net
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: for patron. Chris has an incredible Patreon. People love it.
- 1:21:15Speaker 4: Yeah. Oh my, it's called cover to cover my, my
- 1:21:17Speaker 4: podcast and I'm paid with.
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: The patrons where the juices.
- 1:21:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: And Chris, where are your next shows?
- 1:21:22Speaker 4: Oh my God.
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: You're coming in Florida, right?
- 1:21:24Speaker 4: This week.
- 1:21:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:21:25Speaker 4: So what are you going to do? You're going to
- 1:21:26Speaker 4: do this on Thursday on Friday night. I'll be in Gainesville, Florida. Gainesville.
- 1:21:32Speaker 4: Never been there before. At a place called the Signal Lounge, Gainesville, Florida.
- 1:21:36Speaker 4: If you live in there, could you please buy tickets?
- 1:21:38Speaker 4: Because this is one of those clubs that's harassing me
- 1:21:39Speaker 4: about ticket sales. Like every day. And it's so annoying
- 1:21:44Speaker 4: that they do that. But anyway, I'll be at the
- 1:21:46Speaker 4: Signal Lounge in Gainesville, Florida. So please come. It's like
- 1:21:49Speaker 4: a little small bar that I'm doing before I go
- 1:21:51Speaker 4: to Tampa. The next night, Tampa. Side Splitter is one
- 1:21:54Speaker 4: of my favorites. I love it. Six o'clock show is
- 1:21:56Speaker 4: pretty much sold out.
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: Nice.
- 1:21:57Speaker 4: But there's still some room in the eight o'clock. Which
- 1:22:00Speaker 4: I took kind of last minute. I don't know why
- 1:22:02Speaker 4: I did. But anyway, 8 o'clock.
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: 8 o'clock will work out. Tampa, Florida.
- 1:22:05Speaker 4: Come down and see me. I'll be there. And Gainesville.
- 1:22:08Speaker 4: Both of them.
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: So, Chris.
- 1:22:10Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: I have some exciting news. I recorded a brand new
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: Juicy Scoop song. A portion of it will be the
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: intro for every show. Oh, okay. It's a whole new era.
- 1:22:19Speaker 4: So the old one's out.
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: The old one will be retired for now.
- 1:22:23Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: And there, it's a full real dance hit song that
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: I played at the clubs and all the wait staff
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: after hearing it a couple of times, absolutely had it
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: stuck in their head.
- 1:22:35Speaker 4: I mean, I'll be honest with you. You already played
- 1:22:37Speaker 4: it for, I just heard it. So I thought it
- 1:22:39Speaker 4: was really good. It's pretty fun. It's pretty great.
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: Listen, it's because we had to do all the things
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: so you can listen to it. There is a pre
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: link that you can link right in the description here
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: and of wherever you're listening to it. We'll have that link.
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: And then you'll be able to download it when it
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: drops next week. And I really hope you do that
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: because how great will it be for me to say
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: I have like a number one musical hit.
- 1:23:06Speaker 4: Right. And you could, you know, they have different kind
- 1:23:09Speaker 4: of charts. So you could put it on like one
- 1:23:10Speaker 4: of those charts where it could go to number one.
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: It could.
- 1:23:12Speaker 4: Like it's the dance club chart.
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: I'm just asking people to download it. If you want
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: to buy it, you can, but you just, just download
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: it and listen to it. And yeah, there's some really
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: funny lyrics in it. That's very relatable. So, you know,
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: you could make a TikTok out of it, whatever. And
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: it really is me singing. And I really did sing
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: it and co-write it with an incredible music producer named
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: Drew Lewis. And I found him because his mom is
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: a juicy scooper. And she was like, this is, you know,
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: you should contact Heather.
- 1:23:42Speaker 4: She's a great producer.
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: And he was wonderful. And I love it. I love it.
- 1:23:47Speaker 4: I love it so much. It's pretty good. I think, yeah,
- 1:23:50Speaker 4: maybe I could, cause my daughter's really into like a
- 1:23:52Speaker 4: Dua Lipa right now.
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: Doesn't it kind of sound like, it kind of sounds
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: like that or a little bit like, it's a little like,
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: like Fergie-ish back in the day. Like, yeah, it's kind
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: of that style.
- 1:24:03Speaker 4: See, I've already got the beat in my head.
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: Cause when I first talked to him on the phone,
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: like he's, I said, well, do you still want me
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: to sing for you? So then I sang for him.
- 1:24:10Speaker 4: Oh boy. Like over the phone?
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:24:13Speaker 4: Like what you're saying, son, I'll come out tomorrow or
- 1:24:16Speaker 4: what are you saying?
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: That's what I did. I just said, just so you know,
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: like this is my range.
- 1:24:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: And so that he could write it in my range.
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: And then, and he knew that I could like carry
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: a tune.
- 1:24:25Speaker 4: Yeah. And then he probably did some stuff to it.
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: It's a little bit of that enhancing, but it's not AI.
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: It's not housewife AI at all. It's like you'll, when
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: everyone hears it, they'll, you'll be able to recognize that
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: it's me singing it.
- 1:24:40Speaker 4: It's pretty good. It's pretty fun.
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 1:24:42Speaker 4: How'd you feel in the recording studio? Did you feel
- 1:24:44Speaker 4: like a, like a real rock star?
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: We, okay. So long story, not short, whatever. McKenzie actually
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: knew him cause they live in the same area of Hollywood.
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: And so she came and she's filming, she filmed the back,
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: like behind the scenes. We're in this small studio room
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: and I am like practicing it. And there were some
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: moments where I was like, Oh my God, like that
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: sounded horrible. And, uh, So she's going to make a
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: little like behind the scenes video and we'll do like
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: a little music video too. So we don't have a
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: lot of time, but it'll be up and available, uh,
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: October 22 on.
- 1:25:16Speaker 4: All the places, Spotify places. Okay.
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: YouTube, the Pandora, the Spotify, that all the things.
- 1:25:23Speaker 4: Very exciting. And they get it out into the clubs,
- 1:25:25Speaker 4: you know, maybe you could start hitting the road as
- 1:25:28Speaker 4: a singer.
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: Oh my God.
- 1:25:29Speaker 4: I would play like gay pride festivals and stuff.
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: I would love that. I would, My whole goal is
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: to be paid not to do stand-up. Yeah. To go
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: out at night. Right. And be like a housewife who
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: just does a song. Yeah. Or does it, or it
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: start DJing or puts my song on the DJ thing. Like, yeah, no, but, um,
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: but I did play at the end of my shows
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: and the, yeah. And everyone really, really liked it. I
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: was like, I'm just gonna let you guys listen to
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: it until people can actually like download it or whatever.
- 1:25:59Speaker 4: Very exciting.
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: Anyway.
- 1:26:02Speaker 4: I mean, if I don't have to hear my daughter,
- 1:26:04Speaker 4: she sings this Dua Lipa song called New Rules. It
- 1:26:06Speaker 4: was one of her earlier hits.
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:26:09Speaker 4: And it's about her breaking up with this guy. She's
- 1:26:11Speaker 4: got new rules. And the chorus is, you can't get
- 1:26:15Speaker 4: over him if you're under him. And my daughter, yeah,
- 1:26:19Speaker 4: my daughter sings that a lot. I don't think she
- 1:26:21Speaker 4: knows what it means, but. And it's a good message, honestly,
- 1:26:25Speaker 4: for her in future relationships.
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: Okay. So there was a talent show thing that we
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: were doing at Louisville, the all-girl Catholic high school. And
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: my sister and this other girl, Lucy, and I, Lucy
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: was in between my sister and I, we wanted to
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: audition and do this lip syncing thing.
- 1:26:44Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: And so I chose the song. And we, you know,
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: I'm listening at stop, listen, stop writing out all the lyrics.
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: There's no way you could just go pull me up
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: the lyrics, you know? And we're getting all ready to
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: go do it. And we have like all this laundry on.
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: We're doing, I'm a sex shooter, shooting love in your direction.
- 1:27:06Speaker 4: Yeah, I remember that song.
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: And my dad finds like the yellow pad of paper.
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: And he's like, this is what you guys are doing?
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: And we're like, yes, it's fine, dad. It's Prince's, you know,
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: Prince is producing. What was that girl's name that was
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: in it?
- 1:27:21Speaker 4: Was it Apollonia?
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: Apollonia and Sheila E and all those people. So- I
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: remember we like did it and I think they just
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: decided like not to have the event.
- 1:27:31Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: But we were literally in like tights and everything and
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: we were just doing that, the same moves to the move.
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: I'm a sex shooter, shooting love in your direction. I
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: need you to give it all. I'm a slave being
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: ready to be controlled. Like whatever that stuff was.
- 1:27:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:27:50Speaker 4: That's a good one.
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: Everybody, every, you know, comedian wanted to be a singer
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: and actress first.
- 1:27:57Speaker 4: I think so, yeah.
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: First.
- 1:27:58Speaker 4: Yeah, right.
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: But then we realized we had a weirdness about us
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: that we should explore.
- 1:28:03Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: Because a lot of people can sing and dance and
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: act and are more attractive than us. Yeah. But if
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: you just have a little of that, but you're good
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: at being funny. Yeah.
- 1:28:13Speaker 4: So instead of playing like stadiums, you're the Signal Lounge
- 1:28:17Speaker 4: in Gainesville, Florida tomorrow.
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: Friday night yeah of course and it's all good what
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: a life we've led exactly cover to cover.
- 1:28:26Speaker 4: Cover to cover the podcast everybody loves a new co-host
- 1:28:29Speaker 4: that everyone loves.
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: Oh good carlos good i love it.
- 1:28:32Speaker 4: I don't know if i told you about this yeah
- 1:28:35Speaker 4: i came up with this idea i don't know what
- 1:28:37Speaker 4: i was thinking i wanted to do i wanted to
- 1:28:40Speaker 4: do something to get people out of the house. So
- 1:28:42Speaker 4: I'm doing a cover to cover bar crawl through the
- 1:28:46Speaker 4: Valley with, for my fans.
- 1:28:48Speaker 2: Oh, fun.
- 1:28:49Speaker 4: Yeah. It starts at 5 PM, Saturday, November 21st.
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: What spots are you going? Have you figured out what spots?
- 1:28:56Speaker 4: I don't know if I want to say it on
- 1:28:57Speaker 4: here because, you know, I'm going to get a lot
- 1:29:00Speaker 4: of your.
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: Well, listen, if you have not started listening to How
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: Funny Chris Is and you are a Valley person and
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: you would like to have a fun.
- 1:29:06Speaker 4: Thing to do... Saturday November 21st at 5 p.m. It
- 1:29:09Speaker 4: begins in Sherman Oaks at my friend's place.
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:29:13Speaker 4: You know the spot.
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: Of course.
- 1:29:14Speaker 4: And that's where we begin and then we move across
- 1:29:16Speaker 4: the street and we move down to one other place.
- 1:29:19Speaker 4: 5 to 8. I want to get people out of
- 1:29:22Speaker 4: the house and get them enjoying life again.
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:29:24Speaker 4: No charge. Everybody gets a free t-shirt. I made 25
- 1:29:28Speaker 4: t-shirts for the first 25 people get a free t-shirt.
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: I think that's totally fun. And so great.
- 1:29:34Speaker 4: Thank you. That's a great idea. I was insane for it.
- 1:29:38Speaker 4: And others said, I'll be there.
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: I went on a cruise with people.
- 1:29:43Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:29:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:29:44Speaker 4: And, um, But that's a couple of days.
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: It was a couple of days. This is three hours.
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: I'm just saying, I used to take people out to lunch.
- 1:29:56Speaker 4: I remember that.
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: I mean, it's a fun thing to do, and you
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: should try to see if it works for you, and
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: then you can see if it was great or if
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: it wasn't. But it will be fun for the people
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: who go. You might feel overwhelmed.
- 1:30:07Speaker 4: A lot of people asked if you were attending. I said,
- 1:30:09Speaker 4: I don't think.
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: You never even told me about it.
- 1:30:11Speaker 4: Oh, I'm telling you now. But I feel like it
- 1:30:12Speaker 4: would be too much.
- 1:30:14Speaker 2: Maybe.
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: Why? I'm the person who took people out to lunch
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: on a weekend. Strangers bought their lunch.
- 1:30:22Speaker 4: If you're in the neighborhood.
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: Maybe I will be. But the week before, we're going
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: to be in San Diego together.
- 1:30:29Speaker 4: I know. That's why I couldn't do that week. I
