- 0:11Half-Faith, Let It Begin, Tuesday edition is on the air.
- 0:15So last week, we spoke about the haunting of our past and how the past can easily
- 0:23creep up and steal your joy.
- 0:26It can be as little as a baseball hat.
- 0:30It could be as little as, I don't even, it could just be annoying.
- 0:36I'm trying to avoid getting deeper than I want to, only because I have never
- 0:43truly spoken about this with anyone.
- 0:47But when the past creeps up.
- 0:52When past incidences sneak their way into your heart and soul,
- 0:57even after you've done something so joyous as to deliver a sermon,
- 1:02as to greet someone or meet somebody or do what God intended you to do,
- 1:11negative things can easily creep up and steal your joy.
- 1:17So how do we overcome something like this? We're going to talk about that.
- 1:23Have Faith, Let It Begin, Tuesday edition. Starts now.
- 1:26Thank you for listening to Have Faith, Let It Begin. Have Faith, Let It Begin.
- 1:32Music.
- 2:01Happy birthday, Noah. Hey, then. I'm so lazy. It was just a blessing. I don't know.
- 2:08This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it. Sound.
- 2:13This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it. Sound.
- 2:17This little light of. Rain. I'm gonna let it. Spine. Let it. Sound. Let it.
- 2:24Sound. Let it. Sound. Yeah.
- 2:29Stop. Daddy, I'm so excited, but I have one question. What's your question?
- 2:34I'm going to be a pastor or a minister.
- 2:36Good question. I don't know, but it is all in God's hands.
- 2:40Good morning. You're listening to Have Faith Live Again, and it starts right
- 2:45now. Good morning, everyone.
- 2:48Sorry about the ticking in the background audio issue that we've been having,
- 2:51and we'll be correcting that after today's episode.
- 2:55It has something to do with the introduction and my internal radio.
- 2:59That is affecting the audio, but that's okay. I digress and we move forward.
- 3:04So this morning we continue on with our series, the haunting of our pasts.
- 3:09I want to thank you all for your thoughts, comments, and concerns in advance,
- 3:15because a lot of you listened to last week's episode and,
- 3:19and you got a lot out of it and you, you definitely shared with me the things that have bothered you.
- 3:26And it's helped me, believe it or not. So I want to thank you.
- 3:31This past weekend was very difficult. It was very hard for me.
- 3:36It was very difficult because some things or events, I should say,
- 3:40happened where it triggered a memory.
- 3:44It fueled some anger inside of me.
- 3:48And, you know, as a pastor in training, as my mom would say to me,
- 3:53or has said to me, you know, you have to learn to control that.
- 3:57You have to understand that you have to find the forgiveness inside of you.
- 4:04And you have to also learn to pray to God about the things that are continuously
- 4:10coming up in my thoughts. It's as I've stated before, I don't sugarcoat anything.
- 4:17I don't try to hide anything from you guys. I am very upfront and honest and
- 4:23I like to share the good times,
- 4:26the amazing times, and even the bad and troubling times, not for views and not
- 4:31for downloads and not for you to just all bombard me.
- 4:34And I mean this respectfully with text messages saying, are you okay? You okay? You okay?
- 4:38I am fine. and, and, and it may not sound like I'm fine, but I really am.
- 4:44And, but it's hard to, sometimes it's hard to deal with certain things.
- 4:50And then because I want to share everything with you, I have to re-bring it
- 4:56up to kind of hone in on a message because I want you to understand that I am
- 5:01not perfect and none of us are perfect.
- 5:04And even though a lot of you always express how good I'm doing for the,
- 5:10for the people out there.
- 5:11And I want you to understand that I struggle too.
- 5:15And, you know, as a person that has struggled with depression and a person who
- 5:21has struggled with past and even present issues,
- 5:24as I'm trying to get closer to God each and every day, I'm learning that the
- 5:32challenges that come with that deal with the attacks that you get,
- 5:36where they're trying to infiltrate my home,
- 5:39infiltrate my job, infiltrate my thoughts, and I won't let them. I won't let it happen.
- 5:47But because I'm not perfect, there are times where I lash out,
- 5:52where I can't hone in on my past, and without hesitation, I'll bite back like a pit bull.
- 6:02You know, now that I have kids, when my kids are brought into it or my kids
- 6:08are brought into something that someone or some persons know that I don't like
- 6:16certain things and they do it for the sake of a joke.
- 6:20I don't think they realize that I mean what I say and I say what I mean.
- 6:26And, you know, it could be as little as a word.
- 6:30It could be a hat. It could be, there's just some things that I don't like and I don't tolerate.
- 6:36And, and if you know me and you know that I am a very stubborn person at times, I would say a lot.
- 6:43And, you know, I would think that people that know what bothers them wouldn't do those things.
- 6:51They wouldn't push the buttons. They wouldn't push the envelopes.
- 6:54But unfortunately, there are people like that that do it just for the sake of
- 6:57a laugh, just for the sake of pushing my buttons. And you know what?
- 7:02That's the thing I'm going to work on. That's the thing that's really something
- 7:06that I really have to find. And the, the, I have to find that inner peace inside
- 7:14of me to let things like that go.
- 7:17Will it be easy? No. But, you know, I, I gotta be honest.
- 7:22I'm, I'm, I'm very upset that I have to deal with it consistently for so many years.
- 7:29And it's gotten to the point now where, you know,
- 7:33this is why I don't have many friends because I set these boundaries because
- 7:43I know that a lot of times people that I have had in my life that were friends have broken rules,
- 7:50broken things that I don't like or appreciate.
- 7:55And I'm rambling. So, all right. So this episode was not meant to be this long,
- 8:01but sometimes, you know, it's good to talk.
- 8:04So what the message really is today is, and that I've learned in the last 72
- 8:09hours, is that you have to channel your anger.
- 8:13You have to put your faith and trust into God. And sometimes we have to let
- 8:20out our frustrations with a cry, maybe with anger.
- 8:25Not so much as anger, but it's not what you say. It's how you say it.
- 8:29And also find the right time to respond.
- 8:35Maybe not around mixed company. Maybe something I could have just tolerated.
- 8:38And then on the side said, hey, this is something I didn't tolerate in the future.
- 8:42Please don't do that. And I could have done that better.
- 8:45I'll admit that. But on the same token, other individuals should know that that's
- 8:50some things I just don't tolerate.
- 8:52So don't do the same things that I did. Don't react. Think before you speak.
- 8:59Remember who's around you and remember that people that don't have the same
- 9:04faith as you may attack you just because of who you are.
- 9:09And sometimes it's best to be around people that have the same faith as you.
- 9:14That's where I'll leave it. See you tomorrow for another edition of Half Faith Let It Begin.
- 9:20I believe we're up to letter 10. again so enjoy and never forget have faith uh let it begin take care.
- 9:29Music.
