- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with our radio. Hey guys, welcome to the almost same
- 0:09Speaker 1: As podcast. We love you all, thanks for coming back
- 0:12Speaker 1: and listening to us. Um it's Ashley here and I
- 0:16Speaker 1: am joined by Ben. It's a special headlines only podcast today.
- 0:22Speaker 1: A ton of them and a couple of good juicy
- 0:24Speaker 1: ones like why, um, Tyler Cameron never became the Bachelor?
- 0:30Speaker 1: We have the answer to that. I'm pretty excited about that.
- 0:32Speaker 1: But first little host chat for you, Ben, how have
- 0:35Speaker 1: you been? What's up? It's snowing. It's May. It's May
- 0:40Speaker 1: second in Denver, Colorado. Um, it's snowing outside. We got
- 0:45Speaker 1: about an inch and a half of snow last evening,
- 0:49Speaker 1: woke up to that today. It hasn't melted yet. It's
- 0:51Speaker 1: actually still snowing as we speak. Okay, so fury here.
- 0:56Speaker 1: I feel like summer now doesn't start mentally until June.
- 1:01Speaker 1: But like back in the day, I felt like summer
- 1:05Speaker 1: kind of started in May. Well because in high school, yeah,
- 1:09Speaker 1: don't you get out at some point in May? Typically
- 1:13Speaker 1: in high school we would get out in mid June.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Did you really get out in May? I don't know,
- 1:17Speaker 1: I can't remember. And then we would go back the
- 1:19Speaker 1: after Labor Day. Okay, well I think we had like
- 1:23Speaker 1: ten weeks off. Yeah, I don't. I don't know. I
- 1:25Speaker 1: just know this time of year, right, you're after spring break. Uh,
- 1:30Speaker 1: families have kind of taking their trip and you start
- 1:34Speaker 1: to wind down the school year. And so in my
- 1:38Speaker 1: like adult life, I still think of summer on the
- 1:43Speaker 1: same time like frame as when we got let out
- 1:47Speaker 1: of high school. That's why it's college, because you get
- 1:50Speaker 1: out of college like your finals week is like this week.
- 1:54Speaker 1: College is a big mystery to me. Yeah, I don't.
- 1:56Speaker 1: I don't remember a lot of it. Um not even
- 1:59Speaker 1: that's not even like a reference to like over consumption.
- 2:02Speaker 1: It's just like it felt like it flew by. It's
- 2:04Speaker 1: like a big blur in my world. Like you, I
- 2:07Speaker 1: have way more memories from high school than I do
- 2:10Speaker 1: of college. Also not because of consumption, but for me,
- 2:14Speaker 1: it was grad school. I have most vivid memories of
- 2:17Speaker 1: grad school, one of my favorite years of life. And
- 2:20Speaker 1: I cannot believe I'm going on ten years since I
- 2:23Speaker 1: started grad school. That freaks me out. It also makes
- 2:28Speaker 1: you really sad that some people that were like very
- 2:30Speaker 1: impactful in my life, like I haven't seen in ten years. Yeah,
- 2:34Speaker 1: if I mean it flies by you an a young
- 2:35Speaker 1: pup no more. Ash, You know we ain't kids. Do
- 2:40Speaker 1: you know how often I talk about not being a
- 2:42Speaker 1: young pup by our new assistant Slash babysitter is upstairs
- 2:47Speaker 1: and she's twenty two, she's graduating mid May, and I
- 2:54Speaker 1: sound like such an old fart with her all the time.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Like today, I was doing an Amazon i've and one
- 3:01Speaker 1: of those products that I had was these heels, and
- 3:04Speaker 1: the heels are really cute, square toe, like a thick heel,
- 3:09Speaker 1: and I was like, Maddie, these are like what's in today,
- 3:11Speaker 1: But wait, do you guys even wear heels anymore? And
- 3:14Speaker 1: she's like, yeah, we don't really wear heels, like where heels.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Those are cute, but like for us millennials, that's all
- 3:22Speaker 1: we would go out in only go to the bar
- 3:26Speaker 1: and heels. Like now we're chuggee or something for wearing
- 3:32Speaker 1: heels means means I don't know, that means. It's like
- 3:40Speaker 1: um a gen Z's way of saying like, oh, that's
- 3:44Speaker 1: so millennial, that's so old of them, Like apparently blonde
- 3:48Speaker 1: hair now is chuge. This is ridiculous. I don't get anymore.
- 3:55Speaker 1: So like skinny jeans. They think skinny jeans are juggy.
- 3:58Speaker 1: But guess what, I am down for that. I'm down
- 4:01Speaker 1: for that theory because I hate skinnies and I love
- 4:04Speaker 1: their wide like nine Days style even for guys. Um,
- 4:09Speaker 1: you know what, I don't have an opinion on guys jeans. Yeah,
- 4:12Speaker 1: I like my skinny I like my jeans that are
- 4:14Speaker 1: like a little tight, you know. I put yeah, put
- 4:17Speaker 1: them on. I look at myself in the mirror. I'm like,
- 4:19Speaker 1: all right, dude, you still have you still got something together?
- 4:22Speaker 1: You still look Yeah. I think thinner legged jeans probably
- 4:27Speaker 1: still look best on guys. And I'm sure that you
- 4:29Speaker 1: guys think that skinnies look best on girls like you
- 4:32Speaker 1: probably don't want Jess and these baggy asked jeans. She
- 4:36Speaker 1: just did it to her date night. Well, she just
- 4:37Speaker 1: did to her date night. She looked, she looked great.
- 4:40Speaker 1: But it was like she like came down the stairs
- 4:43Speaker 1: and she had like a top on that you know,
- 4:45Speaker 1: was I don't yeah, crop top, and then uh, she
- 4:50Speaker 1: had these jeans on that were like really wide legged,
- 4:53Speaker 1: and I did I took it. I was like WHOA.
- 4:55Speaker 1: I was like, I think I asked her. I was
- 4:56Speaker 1: like those in style or you just setting a friend
- 5:00Speaker 1: and no, they're in style. Is like cool and I
- 5:04Speaker 1: love them so much. Um, that's awesome. That is that
- 5:08Speaker 1: that's uh, that's big for you. It's more comfortable to
- 5:11Speaker 1: love a pair of jeans. I don't know if I
- 5:13Speaker 1: could ever say that I have. We're going back to
- 5:16Speaker 1: the old times. I need to get back out my
- 5:17Speaker 1: like reebok um or starter like windbreaker jacket that I've
- 5:22Speaker 1: held on too. I'm gonna be philosophy. It's gonna be great. Um,
- 5:28Speaker 1: the term philosophy. I don't even know what they think
- 5:30Speaker 1: about that. But yes, then you answer your question, we
- 5:34Speaker 1: are no longer young pups. How you have a young pups?
- 5:37Speaker 1: So I bet they look at me and they're like, yeah,
- 5:40Speaker 1: he's he's like a dad. That's weird. Um, you know,
- 5:44Speaker 1: I'm Maddie. You told me about coogie kogi choogy means
- 5:48Speaker 1: because I think somebody has commented on my picture um
- 5:54Speaker 1: on Instagram at some point and said that I thought
- 5:55Speaker 1: it was a compliment. Um, so it's a little upsetting. Hey,
- 6:00Speaker 1: I do know something I did that was cool and
- 6:02Speaker 1: I didn't even know as cool as a joke, but
- 6:04Speaker 1: I found out that I'm really up on the trends.
- 6:06Speaker 1: You hear, this is what. So I took Waylon for
- 6:10Speaker 1: a walk in Golden, Colorado, which is closer at home,
- 6:14Speaker 1: and I was walking downtown and we have a belly
- 6:16Speaker 1: bag that's full of like treats that we walk around.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Is a belly bag? Is that that the right word?
- 6:23Speaker 1: Like this thing that you strap around your belly kind
- 6:26Speaker 1: of like, uh, it's a bit like is it like
- 6:32Speaker 1: a Fannie pack thing? Yeah? No, it's a fan I'm
- 6:37Speaker 1: sure that that's probably like a Midwest thing. I'm saying
- 6:39Speaker 1: it like that. Okay, So I have a Fannie pack
- 6:42Speaker 1: and I'm walking around downtown and I take a picture
- 6:44Speaker 1: because I felt like I was really like being a nerd,
- 6:49Speaker 1: like I thought if anybody saw me, they'd be like,
- 6:52Speaker 1: oh my goodness. And so I took a video put
- 6:54Speaker 1: on Instagram, and I got a ridiculous amount of comments
- 6:58Speaker 1: back being like, no, that's like a cool thing. Now,
- 7:00Speaker 1: like wearing a fanny pack or like a shoulder bag
- 7:04Speaker 1: is really awesome. It's like, well, son of a gun, Yeah,
- 7:07Speaker 1: you're supposed to put your Fannie pack across your chest now,
- 7:11Speaker 1: I remember Brief Springs did that during Matt's season, and
- 7:15Speaker 1: I was like, what in the heck is she wearing?
- 7:18Speaker 1: And then everybody was like, that's cool. How about you
- 7:21Speaker 1: get some fashion sense? And now I see it everywhere. Jeez,
- 7:26Speaker 1: I you know what. I just think that the weirder
- 7:29Speaker 1: things or the more nerdy things that I wear, the
- 7:32Speaker 1: cooler I'm gonna be. Um. And so that's kind of
- 7:35Speaker 1: my new outlook on life. I'm just gonna go I'm
- 7:37Speaker 1: either going to go full like Dad mode um like
- 7:41Speaker 1: tucking my everything, um wear a bell like always wear
- 7:46Speaker 1: like dress shoes or penny loafers, or I'm just gonna
- 7:49Speaker 1: try to always stay cool by wearing the stuff that
- 7:53Speaker 1: was cool like fifteen years ago. There you go, that's
- 7:56Speaker 1: what's that's your best theory, that's your best way of
- 7:59Speaker 1: doing it. Now. My sister, she's really annoyed that Jared
- 8:03Speaker 1: where was jeans with the rips in them. She says,
- 8:07Speaker 1: that's very outdated and not cool. Outdated. How do you
- 8:11Speaker 1: feel about that? Do you wear jeans with rips? I've
- 8:15Speaker 1: never done that. I've really hairy legs, and so if
- 8:18Speaker 1: I where jeans with rips in them, it's it's like
- 8:23Speaker 1: disgusting when I sit down for me to look at
- 8:25Speaker 1: Like if you just see me in shorts, you're like,
- 8:27Speaker 1: all right, Like that's fine, that's fair, right, he's he's
- 8:30Speaker 1: he's got hairy legs. Um, but it's not that weird.
- 8:33Speaker 1: But then like you have jeans on and there's just
- 8:35Speaker 1: like hair sticking out, You're like, all right, I go
- 8:37Speaker 1: without that. Um. Yeah, so I've never I've always been
- 8:41Speaker 1: insecure about ripped jeans. Do you have a hairy back? No,
- 8:45Speaker 1: I have no hair on my back? And which is
- 8:48Speaker 1: you want to hear something that I don't think I've
- 8:49Speaker 1: ever admitted publicly. Yeah, I love that. So you know,
- 8:53Speaker 1: in high school, I still remember this time. Um, I
- 8:56Speaker 1: was like, um, maturing at a younger age fast through
- 9:00Speaker 1: the most, so I was like getting hair in places
- 9:02Speaker 1: before anybody else was. And it's always awkward, especially like
- 9:07Speaker 1: in the middle school locker room when you're trying to
- 9:09Speaker 1: cover your body with clothes and be like, no, I'm
- 9:11Speaker 1: not more advanced in that way or this is not amal,
- 9:14Speaker 1: it's like something like that you're ashamed of back man, Well,
- 9:17Speaker 1: I remember this, and like I hope that I'm I'm
- 9:20Speaker 1: forgiven I believe I am. I prayed Ashley in middle
- 9:23Speaker 1: school that I would not have a hairy back because
- 9:26Speaker 1: I was just like, that's the one thing. I don't
- 9:28Speaker 1: know how how I treat it now nowadays, I'm like, ah,
- 9:32Speaker 1: I think just would be fine, Like I don't have
- 9:34Speaker 1: like I don't think it's that big a deal. But
- 9:35Speaker 1: I just remember being so insecure that my full body
- 9:39Speaker 1: was going to be covered in hair. I have a
- 9:41Speaker 1: buddy out here in Denver. He's married, but he is
- 9:44Speaker 1: so hairy, like everywhere. This is like crazy how much?
- 9:48Speaker 1: And there's some people in this world that like love it,
- 9:52Speaker 1: like they find it the like we go to the
- 9:54Speaker 1: beach on vacation whatever, people are like, oh my goodness,
- 9:57Speaker 1: that's the coolest thing ever. And I'm like, well, I didn't,
- 10:00Speaker 1: you know, I shouldn't have like prayed that maybe maybe
- 10:03Speaker 1: I could have had a hairy back, and people would
- 10:05Speaker 1: have like, you definitely don't want a harry back. You've
- 10:08Speaker 1: got you know Nieves Shulman catfish and how his his
- 10:12Speaker 1: chest hair like comes up to his like classical right here. Yeah. Yeah,
- 10:17Speaker 1: My sister used to think that was hot. She wanted
- 10:18Speaker 1: a couple of days with him. Yeah. See, there you go.
- 10:21Speaker 1: It's it's a thing. Well, um, right before we go on,
- 10:25Speaker 1: I have to ask, now, currently, what is your biggest
- 10:29Speaker 1: insecurity about your body? That's a great isn't your hairy legs? New? No?
- 10:34Speaker 1: I mean honestly, I'm I don't have a lot anymore
- 10:38Speaker 1: because I still try to work out. I'm still trying
- 10:40Speaker 1: to stay in shape. Um, you know, I I know
- 10:44Speaker 1: exactly what it is. It's my hairline. It's not that bad. Um,
- 10:48Speaker 1: I've told you this many times. It's like it's not bad,
- 10:51Speaker 1: it's just not great. And so I can't grow my
- 10:53Speaker 1: hair out. Um, I've got to do like the little
- 10:57Speaker 1: messy part over here because I've got I've got the
- 10:59Speaker 1: power outes what I what we call him here? Yeah,
- 11:04Speaker 1: we're like I did not know that that was like
- 11:06Speaker 1: what the receipted bit was called. Well, that's what we
- 11:09Speaker 1: call out here in dinner. That's what my friend group
- 11:10Speaker 1: calls him. It's like, hey, you're you know your power?
- 11:13Speaker 1: You have power alleys. So like it gives a little
- 11:15Speaker 1: to that and I think it's a sign of wisdom.
- 11:17Speaker 1: But I would love like that straight across hairline that
- 11:20Speaker 1: Ryan Reynolds ability to flip it around and you know,
- 11:23Speaker 1: shake my head and like everything looks good, but I
- 11:26Speaker 1: don't have anymore. I don't and I wish I had it.
- 11:29Speaker 1: I do. Would you ever do anything about it? Would
- 11:32Speaker 1: you get plugs? Because you would? So then have you
- 11:35Speaker 1: looked into it? Yes, yes I have, And are you
- 11:38Speaker 1: going to I went to a consultation. They said I
- 11:41Speaker 1: wasn't bad enough yet that really, yeah, you kind of
- 11:44Speaker 1: got to get to the point where like it's stopped.
- 11:46Speaker 1: And I've kind of been this way for a while,
- 11:48Speaker 1: so it could have stopped. I think you've been like
- 11:52Speaker 1: I think your hair has looked like this for a
- 11:53Speaker 1: long time, and I don't think it's gotten any like different. Yeah,
- 11:57Speaker 1: so I could do it now. I bet if I
- 11:58Speaker 1: went back and this is probably this was like maybe
- 12:02Speaker 1: four years ago that I went in, and it was
- 12:04Speaker 1: probably the same. Back then, I was like, I don't
- 12:06Speaker 1: want to be um balding and like I don't want
- 12:09Speaker 1: those kinds like I was. I do have a little
- 12:11Speaker 1: insecurity about it. So I went in and they're like, yeah,
- 12:13Speaker 1: you don't want to get them done, and then like
- 12:15Speaker 1: you start receding back past that and then you're like
- 12:17Speaker 1: a random like bald spot on top of your head.
- 12:20Speaker 1: So it makes sense and it doesn't at the same time,
- 12:23Speaker 1: because it's like, all right, but my dad now is
- 12:26Speaker 1: like pretty much completely bald and has been for a
- 12:29Speaker 1: long time in every area except for like the Homer
- 12:33Speaker 1: Simpson you know, like it goes like around his ears
- 12:35Speaker 1: and around the back. Um. But like you think that
- 12:39Speaker 1: you need to get ahead of it because at that
- 12:41Speaker 1: point it seems like you're too far gone. Yeah, I
- 12:44Speaker 1: don't know, that's what they told me. I mean I
- 12:46Speaker 1: just was with Joel McHale a couple of weeks ago
- 12:49Speaker 1: and he got it done right. I mean you can.
- 12:51Speaker 1: It's like not a secret. You could look up past
- 12:52Speaker 1: picture the same with like Ben Affleck and Tom Brady
- 12:56Speaker 1: and stuff, and those are the guys that Jared is like, well,
- 12:59Speaker 1: of course I had to it because they've done it. Oh.
- 13:02Speaker 1: I mean that you could look up like I've used
- 13:05Speaker 1: to do that. Back in the day when I was researching,
- 13:06Speaker 1: I was like, who else has done this? And I
- 13:08Speaker 1: googled like hair transplants or whatever, and there's like all Hollywood, Yeah,
- 13:13Speaker 1: all of Hollywood. Did you. It makes you feel very
- 13:15Speaker 1: much a part of the community. I don't know if
- 13:16Speaker 1: I ever would it will I'm not against it. And
- 13:19Speaker 1: if at some point, like I feel like I want to,
- 13:21Speaker 1: I I there's a good chance I would. But yeah,
- 13:24Speaker 1: Joel got it done. If you look up before and
- 13:26Speaker 1: after pictures, like, it's pretty incredible, um what it looks like,
- 13:30Speaker 1: and I just like, havn't here. I guess I don't know.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Of course, no shame of that, No one should hide it.
- 13:35Speaker 1: I mean, of course, of course. It's like I think
- 13:38Speaker 1: I would rock it. I think I would tell everybody bad.
- 13:39Speaker 1: I'd be Yeah, I got some transplants done. I probably
- 13:42Speaker 1: try to do an ad like Brian R. Lacker did
- 13:44Speaker 1: the old linebacker from the Bears. I try to be
- 13:46Speaker 1: like spokesperson, do it, get it, get it for free,
- 13:50Speaker 1: and let's right about yourself. All right, well let's get
- 13:55Speaker 1: into headlines. But first we have to take a quick
- 14:10Speaker 1: it's time for Bachelor headlines, and yes, Ashley is right,
- 14:12Speaker 1: we've got some juicy ones for you today. The reason
- 14:15Speaker 1: that we're doing a whole episode on headlines is because
- 14:18Speaker 1: we have some amazing content coming out next few weeks.
- 14:21Speaker 1: We're gonna be recording a bunch of episodes and so today, um,
- 14:26Speaker 1: we want to go through headlines because there's a lot
- 14:27Speaker 1: of good ones in the next couple of weeks. We
- 14:30Speaker 1: won't have the time in the episodes to go through
- 14:31Speaker 1: all of them, so let's start with this one. This
- 14:35Speaker 1: is one about one of bachel Nation's favorites, obviously, Hannah Brown.
- 14:41Speaker 1: She says to US Weekly that she used alcohol as
- 14:44Speaker 1: a coping mechanism to deal with sudden fame. She says,
- 14:48Speaker 1: and I quote, I was not in the best place.
- 14:52Speaker 1: So she said that she had never really been a
- 14:53Speaker 1: drinker before, and when she was on TV for basically
- 14:57Speaker 1: every once a week, like every Monday, for an entire
- 15:00Speaker 1: she didn't know how to handle her life, um so publicly,
- 15:03Speaker 1: like on display um. She said that she always lived
- 15:07Speaker 1: life with a smile on her face, but she tried
- 15:10Speaker 1: to pretend like she was always trying to pretend like
- 15:12Speaker 1: everything was okay. But when she would go home by herself,
- 15:16Speaker 1: the only thing that was really giving her comfort was
- 15:18Speaker 1: a glass of wine. And then she said that soon
- 15:21Speaker 1: enough it was two glasses of wine and three glasses
- 15:23Speaker 1: of wine and then tequila. She just was not knowing
- 15:28Speaker 1: how to deal with all the exposure. She says, I
- 15:31Speaker 1: have no excuses for the mistakes that I've made, but
- 15:34Speaker 1: also I was just not in the best place in
- 15:37Speaker 1: my life and I didn't know what resources I had
- 15:40Speaker 1: available to me. She also says that she started drinking
- 15:47Speaker 1: at times at around like eleven AM and just would
- 15:51Speaker 1: never stop, and she just kept drinking more and more
- 15:54Speaker 1: and it was a way for her to avoid the
- 15:57Speaker 1: big problems in her life, UM, namely the fact that
- 16:02Speaker 1: she picked someone who had a girlfriend Jed and she
- 16:05Speaker 1: kind of tried things out with Tyler and Peter and
- 16:08Speaker 1: that didn't that didn't really work out. And she said
- 16:10Speaker 1: as those things were happening in her personal life or
- 16:13Speaker 1: drinking got worse. And she just said that she's glad
- 16:18Speaker 1: that now she's gotten the help that she needed, the therapy,
- 16:20Speaker 1: the emotional support that I needed, um from you know,
- 16:25Speaker 1: mental health experts and from her boyfriend, and alcohol is
- 16:30Speaker 1: now not something that she goes to for any type
- 16:33Speaker 1: of solace. I I mean, good on her for being
- 16:40Speaker 1: honest about this. Uh we you know you get it.
- 16:45Speaker 1: I guess like I understand it. Um. You just it's
- 16:51Speaker 1: how many times have we talked about ash like this
- 16:53Speaker 1: thing's chaos when you get off of it and then
- 16:56Speaker 1: you have all the judgment, all the criticism. You also
- 16:59Speaker 1: have that like kind of unspoken desire everybody does because
- 17:04Speaker 1: you don't want to waste an opportunity to um stay
- 17:08Speaker 1: up and stay relevant and stay in the headlines. And
- 17:10Speaker 1: then there's that there's that point in time that we've
- 17:13Speaker 1: always talked about here, and it happens in everybody's life
- 17:16Speaker 1: when that no longer feels as um one needed to
- 17:21Speaker 1: as much of an option, and then three as as
- 17:25Speaker 1: maybe like fulfilling as it once did. Stuff happens in life,
- 17:28Speaker 1: and it sounds like Hannah kind of took that step too,
- 17:31Speaker 1: but yeah, it becomes a very I just think it
- 17:35Speaker 1: like for most people, even if you're never on the show,
- 17:37Speaker 1: like there's that period of time in life where stuff
- 17:39Speaker 1: is not going your way, or maybe it's going your
- 17:41Speaker 1: way more than you ever thought and it and it
- 17:43Speaker 1: kind of like it pushes you in a really hard
- 17:45Speaker 1: emotional place. M and not to mention wherever she would
- 17:49Speaker 1: go during that year or so, there's probably always alcohol available.
- 17:53Speaker 1: It's always probably being offered to her, and it's so
- 17:57Speaker 1: easy and fun just to be like when people are
- 18:00Speaker 1: do you want a glass of champagne? Yeah? You know,
- 18:02Speaker 1: it's just hard to you know, when you're like living
- 18:04Speaker 1: life and you're on that high of you know, gaining
- 18:07Speaker 1: fame and stuff, and it's just always there. It's kind
- 18:12Speaker 1: of hard to just not like let the good times
- 18:14Speaker 1: a role and roll and roll and rolling. Yeah. Um,
- 18:18Speaker 1: I I told Justice the other night. It's like, you know,
- 18:21Speaker 1: there's a period of my life where I think I
- 18:24Speaker 1: was out to dinner, especially when I was going to
- 18:27Speaker 1: Los Angeles more with somebody, right, um, six nights a week.
- 18:32Speaker 1: And then I'd be traveling the country for different things.
- 18:35Speaker 1: And every time you travel the country, there's usually a
- 18:37Speaker 1: friend that you haven't seen in a while that you're like, hey,
- 18:39Speaker 1: I'm traveling for free, I'm at this event. I'm going
- 18:41Speaker 1: to take that opportunity to see an old, long lost friend.
- 18:44Speaker 1: And then that friend is like excited and you're excited,
- 18:47Speaker 1: and so you go out for drinks and it's like
- 18:49Speaker 1: before you know what you look back like for the
- 18:51Speaker 1: last thirty days, all I've done is stay up till
- 18:53Speaker 1: one in the morning and drink and go out and
- 18:57Speaker 1: have big dinners and no matter what, like it just
- 19:00Speaker 1: it just doesn't make you feel your best do so well.
- 19:06Speaker 1: There's another person, ba Nation on our next headline, is
- 19:09Speaker 1: not feeling her best. Yeah. Tammy Lee gets emotional explaining
- 19:12Speaker 1: videos about being done with and this was her quote.
- 19:16Speaker 1: She was done. She said she was done with the
- 19:18Speaker 1: Bachelor franchise. She also quotes and says, I felt and
- 19:22Speaker 1: I was so alienated. This accoined to US Weekly, So
- 19:26Speaker 1: she was on US Weekly is here for the Wrong
- 19:29Speaker 1: re the Right Reasons podcast, and this is what she said.
- 19:33Speaker 1: People think that I had this vendetta against the franchise,
- 19:36Speaker 1: Now I really don't. I'm grateful for the opportunity. I'm
- 19:38Speaker 1: grateful to have been part of it. I wouldn't have
- 19:40Speaker 1: traded anything in the world for it. But it's frustration.
- 19:43Speaker 1: It's the frustrations that I was having with a lot
- 19:46Speaker 1: of people. UM. Like a lot of people do UM
- 19:49Speaker 1: and they just don't vocalize it because they're afraid. I
- 19:54Speaker 1: just had it with them, and I'm very vocal and
- 19:57Speaker 1: opinionated about it. I'm gonna let viewers know, UM, what's
- 20:03Speaker 1: going on instead of saying quiet. I'm not the kind
- 20:05Speaker 1: of person who stay as quiet as they clearly know.
- 20:08Speaker 1: And when I you know, and I just get really upset.
- 20:12Speaker 1: What I've done it different all over again. Absolutely, I
- 20:15Speaker 1: think I should have worked through my emotions and then
- 20:19Speaker 1: said something, but I was so hurt and upset at
- 20:21Speaker 1: that time. Um. She says on her insto stories back
- 20:25Speaker 1: in February that if you're not like the favorite of
- 20:28Speaker 1: the audience, it's very clear it's not the audience, not
- 20:31Speaker 1: just the audience, but of like the producer. She's saying,
- 20:34Speaker 1: it's clear and you're treated like this. This is harsh.
- 20:39Speaker 1: She said, you're treated like secondhand dog crap, and they
- 20:42Speaker 1: don't care about you um or your value or your worth.
- 20:48Speaker 1: So she said she I just wanted to put a
- 20:51Speaker 1: foot down and stop being used. So that's what she's
- 20:55Speaker 1: kind of explaining. Now. She's just like saying, Okay, when
- 20:57Speaker 1: I said that I was, I was fresh shure, I
- 21:00Speaker 1: did um, I was not the favorite. I was like
- 21:06Speaker 1: kind of like blah. You know. She's the kind of
- 21:08Speaker 1: person that just like put it all out there, but
- 21:10Speaker 1: like a lot of her castmates probably wouldn't. So she's
- 21:13Speaker 1: just saying now that, um, maybe it's the consequences of
- 21:23Speaker 1: being like too real and open on this show. And
- 21:27Speaker 1: I understand that, I know, I totally understand when she's
- 21:29Speaker 1: talking about it's like you're the person who has you
- 21:33Speaker 1: just feel compelled to say certain things when everybody else
- 21:36Speaker 1: is like, it's not worth it. Yeah, it makes that,
- 21:40Speaker 1: you know, And that's I mean, I don't know if
- 21:41Speaker 1: you call a personality type or if you called it
- 21:44Speaker 1: like a life decision or whatever. I don't know, Like
- 21:47Speaker 1: it didn't feel like a decision for me who just
- 21:49Speaker 1: felt like what was natural? And she's like, this is
- 21:51Speaker 1: how I am black Well, and and that makes for
- 21:55Speaker 1: entertaining television. Yeah, it just doesn't always um for entertainment
- 22:01Speaker 1: that's not then scrutinized and criticized. And also, you know,
- 22:05Speaker 1: the it's really good clip art when it comes to
- 22:09Speaker 1: what the show shows and the trailers and the teasers.
- 22:12Speaker 1: So for weeks you lead up to you know, Tammy
- 22:15Speaker 1: or you making a comment or saying something that like
- 22:18Speaker 1: for weeks, we go, whoa, that seems aggressive and then
- 22:21Speaker 1: maybe it was. Maybe it wasn't in the time, but
- 22:25Speaker 1: it does. It does get tough because that is then
- 22:28Speaker 1: the things that are criticized the most. Yeah, so Tammy,
- 22:32Speaker 1: I know that it's not always easy, but if it
- 22:34Speaker 1: weren't for people like us, then the show would have
- 22:37Speaker 1: no teasers. There you go. Uh well, uh, speaking of
- 22:41Speaker 1: emotional um experiences, Clayton Eckerd the Past Bachelor, opens up
- 22:48Speaker 1: about Rocky Bachelor journey an emotional post. He says, and
- 22:52Speaker 1: I quote, I've learned my lesson this according to people,
- 22:57Speaker 1: he said, then he eventually hit rock bottom, and this
- 23:01Speaker 1: I believe is like, you know, when the show is airing,
- 23:05Speaker 1: he says in the caption, Susie took this picture of
- 23:08Speaker 1: me one day before after the final rows. In this moment,
- 23:13Speaker 1: I was at rock bottom. Okay, yeah, so that makes sense.
- 23:16Speaker 1: He's talking about his rock bottom. Ben was when we
- 23:18Speaker 1: basically interviewed him. That's that. Uh, it was probably like
- 23:24Speaker 1: right after our interview. Okay. Well, actually somebody came up
- 23:29Speaker 1: to me the other day and said that they loved
- 23:34Speaker 1: our interview with him and that we actually asked things
- 23:37Speaker 1: that people wanted to know. We weren't easy, whereas there
- 23:41Speaker 1: was some other interviews that he did where it was
- 23:44Speaker 1: like they were like almost two understanding. Well, I hope,
- 23:47Speaker 1: I mean I hope it didn't cause I mean even
- 23:50Speaker 1: after the interviews, I hope we didn't actually make it
- 23:53Speaker 1: into rock bottom. No, not at all, not at all well,
- 23:55Speaker 1: after the interview was done, we got to talk to him,
- 23:57Speaker 1: and you know, we had questions on how this plays out.
- 23:59Speaker 1: Were like, hey, this too shall pass, and just you know,
- 24:02Speaker 1: stay moving forward and stay who you are, and I mean,
- 24:06Speaker 1: you know, I I felt like even afterwards, he was
- 24:09Speaker 1: in a tough spot, like he wasn't great. But we
- 24:12Speaker 1: got to talk to him and uh, yeah, I hope
- 24:16Speaker 1: the head you know, that didn't cause any more pain. Um,
- 24:21Speaker 1: and I did a little bit to two people that
- 24:24Speaker 1: had been there before. Yeah, he's had a horrible couple
- 24:27Speaker 1: of days having to do interviews and then when we
- 24:29Speaker 1: saw him, you weren't there. But we saw him a
- 24:31Speaker 1: week later and he felt much better. But anyway, so
- 24:35Speaker 1: he continues to say, I knew what was coming. I
- 24:38Speaker 1: realized my reality was much further from what I expected.
- 24:43Speaker 1: As I looked out the window. In the picture, he's
- 24:46Speaker 1: looking at the window. He questioned, who, who? Who am I? Um?
- 24:51Speaker 1: What had I become? Where did everything go wrong? Why? Me?
- 24:56Speaker 1: Six months prior, I was standing outside as the first
- 25:01Speaker 1: limo pulled up, kept thinking to myself how lucky I
- 25:04Speaker 1: was to be in this position as the bachelor. Six
- 25:07Speaker 1: months later, I'm staring out this window, wondering how much
- 25:11Speaker 1: worse things could get. But as I reflected back on
- 25:14Speaker 1: it all, now, since being out of the spotlight, I've
- 25:18Speaker 1: had the ability to see what I couldn't see before.
- 25:22Speaker 1: I was too busy trying to defend my actions and
- 25:25Speaker 1: my character instead of accepting full responsibility for not only
- 25:30Speaker 1: what I had done, but all those who I had hurt. Um,
- 25:35Speaker 1: that's like, I actually love this. I love that this.
- 25:38Speaker 1: We're getting this from him, he said. Um. He said
- 25:45Speaker 1: that people are often concerned with explaining themselves and that
- 25:49Speaker 1: prevents them from realizing the explanations sometimes hurt more than
- 25:54Speaker 1: the actions themselves. And he indicates that that when they
- 26:01Speaker 1: when you, when you say stuff like that, it indicates
- 26:04Speaker 1: that their excuses and nothing more than that. And he goes,
- 26:08Speaker 1: That's where I went wrong. I feel like I finally
- 26:11Speaker 1: learned my lesson. I hurt people. Sure, I didn't have
- 26:13Speaker 1: any intention in doing so. Um, I thought I was
- 26:18Speaker 1: doing what was best by following my heart. But I
- 26:23Speaker 1: still hurt people. So there's a lot more to this
- 26:27Speaker 1: caption if you guys are interested in going and reading
- 26:30Speaker 1: his post. But I actually think that this is really
- 26:32Speaker 1: awesome to hear from him it is. And I think
- 26:35Speaker 1: a lot of it too has to do with how
- 26:37Speaker 1: this played out, you know. I mean he's happy, and
- 26:39Speaker 1: it's very obvious that he's happy, and so if this
- 26:42Speaker 1: would have gone opposite direction, you know, maybe he isn't
- 26:47Speaker 1: as thankful for these lessons learned. But now he can
- 26:50Speaker 1: look back and be like this maybe was all worth it,
- 26:52Speaker 1: Like even the pain of this could have been worth it. Yeah.
- 26:57Speaker 1: I mean, it's not ideal and it's not fun to
- 26:59Speaker 1: go through. Most people that agree to be the lead
- 27:02Speaker 1: does go through a season that's not ideal. Uh, But
- 27:06Speaker 1: you just hope in the end that it was worth
- 27:11Speaker 1: the time spent. And I would look at this from
- 27:14Speaker 1: an outsider outsider's perspective, a fan perspective and say, hey, Clayton, like,
- 27:20Speaker 1: we remember when things weren't awesome with you and Susie.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Maybe that argument wasn't handled the best, but now you're
- 27:26Speaker 1: together and those things are kind of a distant memory
- 27:30Speaker 1: in my thought, and it's like, I'm just happy to
- 27:32Speaker 1: celebrate two of you now. I think that's how most
- 27:34Speaker 1: people feel. I don't think many people are probably like
- 27:37Speaker 1: just harping on him for a really poor communication that
- 27:42Speaker 1: he did without the girl that loves him and that
- 27:44Speaker 1: he loves like I you know, I just don't think
- 27:46Speaker 1: many people are. I'm sure there are some would there are,
- 27:50Speaker 1: but we think they're crazy. Yeah, it's like, hey, well
- 27:53Speaker 1: they've made it work over it. It's like if they
- 27:55Speaker 1: could get over it, you should probably get over it.
- 27:58Speaker 1: That would be a good way to say it. Well, um,
- 28:00Speaker 1: onto uh kind of different topics. We'll take a little
- 28:03Speaker 1: turn here. Jojo Fletcher and Jordan Rogers um have an
- 28:08Speaker 1: idea for a bachelor inspired wedding idea and he is
- 28:13Speaker 1: saying that it deserves a rose. Ashley, do you agree
- 28:16Speaker 1: that it deserves a rose? It does? And now I'm
- 28:19Speaker 1: jealous that we didn't do it at our wedding. Um,
- 28:24Speaker 1: she was. I think she's kind of joking, but she
- 28:28Speaker 1: said that there should be like an I T. M
- 28:31Speaker 1: Room and in the moment interview room where people can
- 28:35Speaker 1: go and just talk to the camera about like how
- 28:39Speaker 1: the wedding's going and just like their best wishes and
- 28:43Speaker 1: stuff for Jojo and Jordan's. But they would have like
- 28:46Speaker 1: a little room set up so that instead of people,
- 28:50Speaker 1: you know, writing their best wishes in a wedding book
- 28:54Speaker 1: that you sign. They'd have a little message room, and
- 28:58Speaker 1: I think that's so cool. Yeah, that's a great idea.
- 29:05Speaker 1: I know how amazing would that be to go back
- 29:07Speaker 1: and watch that. Yeah, and then you have the wedding
- 29:10Speaker 1: like you know, the video from it, and the wedding
- 29:12Speaker 1: video is so fun the way it is, I know,
- 29:16Speaker 1: and then people could go in there like a little
- 29:18Speaker 1: tipsy during the cocktail hour the reception and just narrate
- 29:23Speaker 1: what's going on and being like, I love you guys black.
- 29:27Speaker 1: I don't know, it's like a photo booth, but you know,
- 29:31Speaker 1: video style. I love it so much. You guys should
- 29:34Speaker 1: totally do it, Jojo and Jordan. Don't just joke about it.
- 29:37Speaker 1: Definitely do it. She also talked about how the menu
- 29:42Speaker 1: for their wedding is going to be Italian inspired that
- 29:46Speaker 1: she's blown away during the tasting. Um also kind of
- 29:51Speaker 1: jealous that like it's like it, you know, an Italian menu,
- 29:56Speaker 1: because while our food was absolutely delightful and so so good,
- 30:04Speaker 1: it was still traditional, you know, like be fish. I
- 30:07Speaker 1: would have loved to have like a pasta. Maybe we
- 30:09Speaker 1: did have pasta for vegetarian. Well, Ben, you had a
- 30:12Speaker 1: whole damn buffet. Yeah, we didn't do a sit down dinner.
- 30:15Speaker 1: We did like grab and go sandwiches and pasta's and
- 30:20Speaker 1: chips and stuff like. We just kind of nobody ever
- 30:22Speaker 1: sat down for dinner unless they wanted to sit down
- 30:24Speaker 1: on one of the tables. So you know, those little
- 30:26Speaker 1: twists and different I would have done it. I would
- 30:29Speaker 1: have never done it differently. I loved that we just
- 30:32Speaker 1: kind of went right into the party. Uh. It made
- 30:35Speaker 1: the night more fun for Jess and I. But yeah,
- 30:37Speaker 1: um oh. Another thing that they're doing is kind of
- 30:41Speaker 1: like what we did. They have a string quartet that
- 30:44Speaker 1: will be playing classic, timeless and romantic music. Oh and
- 30:48Speaker 1: Jordan has an on site cigar roller that will be
- 30:51Speaker 1: having solid move love that move, good move by Jordan's
- 30:57Speaker 1: sounds good. Guys, have a great time. I know it's
- 30:59Speaker 1: coming up. You know they're gonna be Uh, they're gonna
- 31:01Speaker 1: have a blast. I know they both have done their
- 31:03Speaker 1: bachelor and bachelor parties. Sounds like they're on the home
- 31:07Speaker 1: stretch and we wish them the best well. Also wishing
- 31:10Speaker 1: the best to Vanessa Grimaldi, who is pregnant. She's expecting
- 31:14Speaker 1: baby number one with husband Joshua Wolfe Disaccording to US Weekly,
- 31:19Speaker 1: she went m I A from Instagram for like eight weeks.
- 31:24Speaker 1: I didn't notice, but then I was like, oh, you
- 31:28Speaker 1: have to go m I A because you were sick.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Let's talk about the woes of pregnancy together. I have
- 31:34Speaker 1: not asked her, but you know, there's been lots of
- 31:37Speaker 1: congratulations from Bachelor Alam including of course me and Jared
- 31:42Speaker 1: were so happy for her. I'm sure Ben that you
- 31:44Speaker 1: said something, and he is going to be the best mom.
- 31:49Speaker 1: You know, she just has like those motherly nurturing vibes.
- 31:54Speaker 1: So so excited for them. It's, uh, it's really exciting
- 31:58Speaker 1: to see this kind of stuff play out, right. You know,
- 32:00Speaker 1: we've been a part of Vanessa's story since her time
- 32:02Speaker 1: on Nick season, and now we see it kind of
- 32:04Speaker 1: come full circle with Nick being happy and her being
- 32:06Speaker 1: happy and her being married and having a child. So
- 32:09Speaker 1: we're wishing them the best as they enter into this
- 32:12Speaker 1: season of life. Well, also something that's a really good news.
- 32:17Speaker 1: If you remember a few years ago we talked about
- 32:20Speaker 1: JP Rosenbaum had a illness that was causing him to
- 32:26Speaker 1: his body to not function well. It was similar to
- 32:30Speaker 1: kind of how a l S would function. You were
- 32:32Speaker 1: losing muscle function, You're having cramps and um. Well you know,
- 32:36Speaker 1: we've then found out that it was Julie Julian Barr syndrome. UM.
- 32:41Speaker 1: He is now saying he's back to normal, but he
- 32:44Speaker 1: says it was a life changing event. This according to
- 32:47Speaker 1: US Weekly as well. Was this that far far you know,
- 32:52Speaker 1: far back, were like recording in the studio in l A.
- 32:57Speaker 1: I remember like hearing this news and we're recording in
- 33:00Speaker 1: l A. But maybe I'm wrong. That was a long
- 33:03Speaker 1: time ago. Well, anyway, he's saying that was a very
- 33:07Speaker 1: traumatic experience. He said, it was life changing. I opening
- 33:12Speaker 1: and put things into perspective that life can take a
- 33:15Speaker 1: turn just like that. But after a couple of months
- 33:19Speaker 1: he went back to normal. Um. The illness causes the
- 33:23Speaker 1: immune system to react against the nervous system, which can
- 33:26Speaker 1: lead to paralysis and weakness, like Ben said, throughout the body. Uh,
- 33:31Speaker 1: it can become a chronic condition, he said, but fortunately
- 33:34Speaker 1: I'm not one of those cases. The odds of me
- 33:37Speaker 1: getting it again are the same as me getting it
- 33:41Speaker 1: in the first place, so I guess the odds are
- 33:43Speaker 1: not necessarily high that he'll be getting it again. He
- 33:47Speaker 1: also says that he's been doing. You know, well since
- 33:50Speaker 1: it it's crazy. It came on within less than twenty
- 33:55Speaker 1: four hours, so it's just like a sudden here and
- 33:58Speaker 1: then you know, he recovered from it and hopefully won't
- 34:02Speaker 1: be getting it back. Um. He says. It was really,
- 34:04Speaker 1: really challenging. It took probably about two months to regain mobility.
- 34:12Speaker 1: That's wild. And you know him and actually are probably
- 34:15Speaker 1: having like marriage problems in the midst of all this too. Um.
- 34:19Speaker 1: He said. It was just a really humbling experience. He's
- 34:23Speaker 1: very fortunate to be making a full recovery, and it
- 34:26Speaker 1: has a lot to do with the fact that he
- 34:27Speaker 1: was diagnosed quickly and treated quickly, um, so that the
- 34:30Speaker 1: damage to his nerves were able to heal. He said.
- 34:33Speaker 1: A lot of people aren't that lucky. Yeah, yeah, Well,
- 34:36Speaker 1: I'm glad he's back and uh, I'm glad that he's
- 34:39Speaker 1: fully functioning and feeling healthy and uh and ready for
- 34:44Speaker 1: this next season in life for him because he's got
- 34:45Speaker 1: a lot, a lot of new things on his horizon. Well,
- 34:49Speaker 1: let's take a break here, we come back. We have
- 34:51Speaker 1: some huge headlines to talk about. We're gonna talk about, uh,
- 34:54Speaker 1: the Senior Citizen Bachelor. Uh is it gonna happen or not?
- 34:58Speaker 1: Who's gonna be hosting it? I wish it was me?
- 35:00Speaker 1: Maybe it is. I've been wanting that job for a
- 35:04Speaker 1: long time. Yeah, it's not me. Um, but that was
- 35:09Speaker 1: a good teaser. I thought it was a good teaser.
- 35:11Speaker 1: I totally blew it. I'm so sorry. It's okay, Ash, sure,
- 35:15Speaker 1: you know what if people are tuning in for to
- 35:17Speaker 1: find out I'm gonna be hosting that shure or not,
- 35:19Speaker 1: but I'm still not giving up. Here's okay. I thought
- 35:22Speaker 1: that it was done, like because there's been no movement
- 35:26Speaker 1: on it. So this is a good teaser in itself.
- 35:28Speaker 1: Is it actually happening? I think somebody asked me the
- 35:31Speaker 1: other day, They're like, I need this in my life,
- 35:32Speaker 1: like it will fulfill me. Yeah, is it actually happening?
- 35:36Speaker 1: Who could be? Also we'll talk about who could be
- 35:38Speaker 1: the lead of that senior show? Also why was Tyler
- 35:42Speaker 1: Cameron not the Bachelor? And then finally, Stage Coach happened
- 35:45Speaker 1: this weekend and it was full of well, um Bachelor
- 35:50Speaker 1: Nation people, I mean full of it. We're gonna talk
- 35:53Speaker 1: about who was there, what was happening? Uh? Right, when
- 35:56Speaker 1: we come back from this break on the almost famous
- 35:57Speaker 1: podcast m alright, Ashley, we talked about it, We handed
- 36:11Speaker 1: at it, the Bachelor who's hosting Paradise? Is Senior Citizens happening?
- 36:16Speaker 1: And could Bachelor Pad return this? According to Variety, it
- 36:20Speaker 1: was an article written, so let's start here, Ashley, Who's
- 36:26Speaker 1: hosting Paradise? That's the question to answer? First? Oh, well,
- 36:31Speaker 1: we don't know who's hosting Paradise, perfect, We have no clue.
- 36:34Speaker 1: Question was asked to the executives. Has not been announced you? Okay?
- 36:39Speaker 1: Onto the second question, is the Senior Citizens show happening? Okay?
- 36:45Speaker 1: So it says it's been teased for years. Obviously, the
- 36:48Speaker 1: pandemic slowed down development, but the Bachelor executives are still
- 36:53Speaker 1: hot on the idea. That doesn't sound like there's a
- 36:56Speaker 1: lot of movement going on. Still, the Senior Citizens show
- 37:00Speaker 1: is definitely going to happen at some point. Robert Mills,
- 37:04Speaker 1: who's you know, in charge of development at ABC, says
- 37:09Speaker 1: some point. The response to that show is so massive
- 37:13Speaker 1: that every time we put up a casting call, um,
- 37:17Speaker 1: it's just like like people are really wanting to apply
- 37:22Speaker 1: for it to happen. He says, for us, we really
- 37:25Speaker 1: feel a responsibility to find the right person to be
- 37:29Speaker 1: the senior Bachelor. So we're looking COVID put a major
- 37:33Speaker 1: wrinkle in everything. So now, um, we're back at looking
- 37:38Speaker 1: for it. The other question, the big question, Yeah, finally,
- 37:44Speaker 1: what's the big question? I guess the big question, Well,
- 37:48Speaker 1: I guess that was actually the biggest question, the bigest questions.
- 37:50Speaker 1: It's gonna happen. I guess the answer to that is
- 37:53Speaker 1: eventually maybe. See, I don't know. I still don't believe
- 37:57Speaker 1: them based on that response. Do you believe Robert Mills
- 38:00Speaker 1: On the response, it doesn't sound like at the top
- 38:01Speaker 1: of the agenda they're putting so much into a Bachelor
- 38:05Speaker 1: that I think it's kind of an excuse to say
- 38:08Speaker 1: that COVID put a wrinkle into it, because COVID didn't
- 38:11Speaker 1: put that much of a wrinkle into the main franchise.
- 38:14Speaker 1: We had like fifteen Bachelorette seasons. Yeah, but the older
- 38:18Speaker 1: demographic is a little bit more at risk for COVID,
- 38:23Speaker 1: and so I could imagine them staying away from it.
- 38:26Speaker 1: I think it's gonna happen because I think it's such
- 38:28Speaker 1: a good idea. Um, again, that's part of my sales pitch.
- 38:33Speaker 1: I think it's such a good idea ABC that that, uh,
- 38:40Speaker 1: it's gonna go really well. I think it's gonna be
- 38:41Speaker 1: really fun to watch, and so, um, I'm glad they're
- 38:45Speaker 1: early in development still on it, because that means I'm
- 38:47Speaker 1: still holding out hope that maybe I'll get the random
- 38:50Speaker 1: call from Los Angeles at ASER and they'll say, hey, Ben,
- 38:53Speaker 1: you know what, we looked around and there's just nobody
- 38:55Speaker 1: else that we want hosting the show other than you,
- 38:57Speaker 1: And I would say, I'm glad you finally came to
- 39:00Speaker 1: your senses, But that doesn't it's going to happen. Well, Ben,
- 39:03Speaker 1: it certainly doesn't sound like they have locked down the host,
- 39:06Speaker 1: so I'd say it's you gotta yeah, I gotta there
- 39:14Speaker 1: we go, Ash. I like your style, Okay. The only
- 39:17Speaker 1: thing is, like Ben, they probably would be like, this
- 39:21Speaker 1: guy is way too young to be hosting this show.
- 39:23Speaker 1: He's twenty something years younger than like the youngest person
- 39:26Speaker 1: on it. Yeah. Well, but I uh, I could teach
- 39:31Speaker 1: them how not to be choogy, and that would be
- 39:35Speaker 1: tight way to make the podcast full circle. Thank you
- 39:39Speaker 1: as well. The second question to the Senior Show is
- 39:42Speaker 1: could Gabby who is the current bachelorette or co bachelorette.
- 39:46Speaker 1: Could her grandfather be the senior bachelor? That was asked
- 39:48Speaker 1: as well to Mills, mm hmm, Well, he says, I
- 39:52Speaker 1: would be crazy to say that we didn't notice all
- 39:55Speaker 1: the affection and interest in Gabby's grandfathers, so you never know.
- 39:59Speaker 1: This is Rob Mills continuing to talk about the show.
- 40:02Speaker 1: He says, everyone wants to see him, see him find love.
- 40:06Speaker 1: Gabby's grandfather really gave the thesis of what the show
- 40:10Speaker 1: would be, which is that he found that great love
- 40:15Speaker 1: and we saw that he still wears his ring. Um,
- 40:19Speaker 1: so maybe he wouldn't be ready for something like this.
- 40:22Speaker 1: And then there's the question of if you have one
- 40:27Speaker 1: great love in your lifetime, can you have another. That's
- 40:31Speaker 1: really interesting. It's not something that we get to explore
- 40:34Speaker 1: on The Bachelor, He's also said. He also says, um
- 40:38Speaker 1: finding someone who has never been in love at an
- 40:41Speaker 1: older age could be interesting too. If we can find
- 40:45Speaker 1: the person and the story that allows us to answer
- 40:48Speaker 1: those that's one will do it. Okay. Again, still sounds
- 40:54Speaker 1: like it's so far in the future and we can
- 40:58Speaker 1: find the person who allows us to explore those storylines.
- 41:03Speaker 1: Every every person that is in their fifties, sixties, shoot,
- 41:07Speaker 1: even forties have those storylines. Every person, like life brings
- 41:14Speaker 1: about story. Some of it's beautiful, some of it's really hard,
- 41:18Speaker 1: but everybody has Like when you live long enough, you're
- 41:21Speaker 1: gonna have stories of triumph and pain and suffering and
- 41:25Speaker 1: joy all those things and so like, that's why I
- 41:28Speaker 1: think this show is so intriguing, because you get people
- 41:31Speaker 1: that are older onto a show where we get to
- 41:34Speaker 1: learn about them and hear about their stories. It's gonna
- 41:37Speaker 1: have a mixed bag, Like it's gonna be incredible to
- 41:39Speaker 1: hear of people who thought they could never love again
- 41:42Speaker 1: who are out there finding love. We're gonna hear about
- 41:45Speaker 1: the people who have never had love and they're in
- 41:47Speaker 1: their fifties, sixties, seventies and they're looking for love, hoping
- 41:51Speaker 1: for love. Like how how just incredible would it be
- 41:55Speaker 1: to be able to have an up close personal look
- 41:58Speaker 1: at these people's story. I mean, it would be so fun.
- 42:03Speaker 1: I'm fun. And you know, Kebby's Crammit doesn't have to
- 42:06Speaker 1: be the lead. I would say, like I don't want
- 42:10Speaker 1: to be ages here, But Ben, what do you see
- 42:14Speaker 1: the age of the lead being? Because he might be
- 42:17Speaker 1: a little old to be the lead of that. I
- 42:20Speaker 1: was thinking that this show would be more for somebody
- 42:22Speaker 1: who was like fifty five sixty. I mean, that's just
- 42:26Speaker 1: my image, what about yours. I was thinking, like, I
- 42:29Speaker 1: thought they could do seasons with like wide range. I
- 42:33Speaker 1: really did. I thought like, no, I don't think he's
- 42:35Speaker 1: I don't think he's too old. I thought it would
- 42:37Speaker 1: be like really fun to have people in their eighties. Um,
- 42:42Speaker 1: you know, trying to figure it out. I did, really,
- 42:45Speaker 1: I was thinking was gonna be like all fifties and sixties.
- 42:47Speaker 1: But I guess when you use the term, which is
- 42:49Speaker 1: senior citizens, senior citizen is what sixty five and older?
- 42:53Speaker 1: I think it's actually now you get your ar cardlet
- 42:55Speaker 1: like fifty um yeah, yeah, when you were not that
- 43:01Speaker 1: far away. As we get our part soon, which means
- 43:03Speaker 1: which means cheaper coffee at McDonald's. Let's go well, Ashley, Uh,
- 43:10Speaker 1: before we talk about who was at stage Coach this
- 43:13Speaker 1: last weekend and what happened at Stagecoach and if we
- 43:15Speaker 1: know of any drama that existed at stage Coach, we're
- 43:18Speaker 1: gonna talk about Tyler Cameron. He mentions and talks sits
- 43:22Speaker 1: down and talks to She's all batch about why he
- 43:27Speaker 1: wasn't the Bachelor, discording to Cosmo, Actually, why wasn't Tyler
- 43:31Speaker 1: Cameron the Bachelor? Okay, actually Tyler is not the one
- 43:36Speaker 1: talking here. It's Michael Johnson. Oh jeez, why is he talking?
- 43:41Speaker 1: Spoke on his behalf. Well, there you go. I don't
- 43:45Speaker 1: know how much Tyler is going to appreciate this, but
- 43:48Speaker 1: this is what he said to Cosmo on their podcast.
- 43:51Speaker 1: He goes, Tyler didn't want it. He was like, I'm good, bra,
- 43:56Speaker 1: I got more followers than Eddie Bachelor will get. I
- 44:00Speaker 1: don't need the money that you give to me to
- 44:04Speaker 1: be the Bachelor. I don't want my life to look
- 44:07Speaker 1: like that. He go and then Mike says, I don't
- 44:10Speaker 1: blame him. He says, they're pros and cons to being
- 44:13Speaker 1: the show's lead. You know, you want to find love.
- 44:17Speaker 1: The negative is everyone and the mama says, are gonna
- 44:22Speaker 1: say something about you and and this is this is
- 44:27Speaker 1: what this is. He was kind of quoting Tyler there,
- 44:29Speaker 1: and he goes, he's not wrong. Um, the Bachelor cycle
- 44:35Speaker 1: is usually like, you know, like they love you when
- 44:39Speaker 1: you become the bachelor coming off of the other season,
- 44:42Speaker 1: and then they kind of destroy you once you become
- 44:45Speaker 1: the lead. Uh So that's that's that Ben. Um. When
- 44:51Speaker 1: Tyler was on our podcast when I was on my
- 44:54Speaker 1: mini maternity leave, did you ask him this question? Did
- 44:57Speaker 1: he have a similar response. I remember asking something along
- 45:02Speaker 1: the lines of would you ever be interested in doing
- 45:04Speaker 1: something again on the show? I mean, I don't want
- 45:08Speaker 1: to speak for him. I don't think that's yeah. I
- 45:12Speaker 1: don't I don't think that's I just got this sense that, yeah,
- 45:15Speaker 1: he's pretty good. I mean, because I think his follow
- 45:17Speaker 1: up was, you know, he has his construction company, and um,
- 45:21Speaker 1: he has the the like USA E bowls and smoothie plays.
- 45:27Speaker 1: I think he's like busy and he's kind of settling down.
- 45:30Speaker 1: And so I mean, I'm sure if the right opportunities
- 45:34Speaker 1: presents itself, Tyler Cameron would probably say yes. But I
- 45:38Speaker 1: don't know if The Bachelor or the Bachelor franchises those
- 45:41Speaker 1: right opportunities. Maybe, I just don't know. It doesn't feel
- 45:44Speaker 1: like it fits now. It feels like if he if
- 45:47Speaker 1: he did it, um, it would just kind of be
- 45:50Speaker 1: a weird twist to his life, kind of on how
- 45:53Speaker 1: the progression is gone. But well, um, you know, so
- 45:56Speaker 1: it sounds like Tyler Cameron, according to Mike, said not
- 45:59Speaker 1: to be in the actually because he just didn't need it.
- 46:01Speaker 1: Well that's fair. Uh, that's good. I'm glad I did
- 46:05Speaker 1: it and the only reason Mom on this podcast so
- 46:09Speaker 1: helped me out a little bit. Last headline of today
- 46:13Speaker 1: Stage Coach two. It's been mentioned on well Bachelor in
- 46:18Speaker 1: Paradise many times UM talked about everything that happens at
- 46:23Speaker 1: Stage Coach back in the day. Well, their celebrity sightings
- 46:26Speaker 1: include several people from The Bachelor Ashley who was it there?
- 46:32Speaker 1: I will add in here that my friend Blake Hortsman,
- 46:35Speaker 1: who is a DJ and has been working really hard
- 46:38Speaker 1: on that, did get the opportunity to go to Stage
- 46:40Speaker 1: Coach and be a and and have a set this year,
- 46:43Speaker 1: which is a big deal. Look like it went really
- 46:45Speaker 1: really well. Um, But who all attended? And then tell
- 46:49Speaker 1: us more about DJ Blake Hortsman's DJ set on Saturday. Well,
- 46:55Speaker 1: let's just you know, punchline here is Blake returns to
- 46:58Speaker 1: Stage Coach. Of course time since it is, isn't it? Um?
- 47:03Speaker 1: It might be because of COVID and cancelations, but I
- 47:06Speaker 1: can't confirm that. I don't know that for sure. Okay, So,
- 47:09Speaker 1: Abigail was there, Amanda Stanton was there with her fiance
- 47:14Speaker 1: Michael and Kins, her daughter Kins went. So that's cute.
- 47:18Speaker 1: Um Joe, Joe and Becca were there, Hannah Brown was there. Uh,
- 47:27Speaker 1: Katie Thurston was there, and so was Um Thomas. Becca's
- 47:36Speaker 1: Becca's this boy soon to be fiance as we talked
- 47:41Speaker 1: about in headlines last week, was also there. And then
- 47:44Speaker 1: what did you ask me about about his set? I
- 47:47Speaker 1: mean there's more there too. Alisa's there, Jojo was there,
- 47:51Speaker 1: Becca was there, Hannah Brown was there. Okay, good, Well,
- 47:54Speaker 1: there's a huge group that was there, Amanda standing obviously,
- 47:57Speaker 1: like just ridiculous how many people were there but his
- 48:01Speaker 1: set on Saturday, I know a lot of people went
- 48:03Speaker 1: out not only go to Stage Coach, but you know
- 48:05Speaker 1: it gave them a good excuse to go because their
- 48:07Speaker 1: friend Blake was djaying at the Honky Tonk. So tell
- 48:10Speaker 1: us about it. Okay. So when Blake was djaying, he
- 48:13Speaker 1: was wearing a shirt that said we met at Stage Coach. Obviously,
- 48:20Speaker 1: it was poking fun at the fact that he met
- 48:22Speaker 1: multiple ladies from Paradise at Stage Coach before Paradise. It's
- 48:28Speaker 1: kind of funny. At least he can laugh at himself.
- 48:30Speaker 1: His rumored girlfriend Gia from Love Is Blind was also
- 48:35Speaker 1: there with a whole bunch of his bachelor friends at
- 48:37Speaker 1: the house that they rented. I think they're not like
- 48:40Speaker 1: formally out about their relationship because they're supposed to be
- 48:43Speaker 1: on an upcoming reality show, so it needs to be
- 48:46Speaker 1: a little bit hush hush. Jojo and Becca posted lots
- 48:50Speaker 1: of pictures and Instagram reels. They joked a lot about
- 48:53Speaker 1: the fact that the cowboy boots were really going to
- 48:55Speaker 1: hurt their feet. They even went to ds w to
- 48:59Speaker 1: to search for a shoe that was going to be
- 49:01Speaker 1: easier on their feet. And then Hannah Brown posted a
- 49:06Speaker 1: picture of her very close up during Thomas Rett set,
- 49:11Speaker 1: and she zoomed in on Ashton Kutcher's surprise appearance during
- 49:15Speaker 1: the cover of Friends in Low Places. That's awesome, very cool.
- 49:22Speaker 1: Nothing to get a live audience going like that song
- 49:26Speaker 1: No come on, I mean one of the best, one
- 49:29Speaker 1: of the best. In fact, I think Jess and I
- 49:31Speaker 1: are gonna try to see Thomas Uh yeah, I know, yeah,
- 49:36Speaker 1: We're We're gonna see a good old country show at
- 49:38Speaker 1: Red Rocks this year. Um so pretty cool, absolutely incredible. Well, hey,
- 49:44Speaker 1: that is all the headlines we have. That's a lot
- 49:46Speaker 1: of headlines. I know you just uh were bombarded with
- 49:49Speaker 1: information on Batchel nations, some really good um, some very
- 49:53Speaker 1: vulnerable UM, but all of it. Um. Where do you
- 49:57Speaker 1: for us talked about here on the Almost Famous podcast
- 49:59Speaker 1: And with that I've been Been, I've been Ashley bad guys,
- 50:02Speaker 1: thanks for listening. Followed the Benn and Ashley I Almost
