- 0:01SPEAKER_00: I'm Blizzard Planet.
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: This is Self-Friendship Podcast, where playfulness meets societal reflection.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: Through the lens of self-friendship,
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: embracing,
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: understanding,
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: and enjoying ourselves,
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: I hopefully inspire you to critically think,
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: creatively think,
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: and optimistically approach life.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: Imagine this,
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: you hopped on the band rocket and now you're on Planet Butter,
- 0:23SPEAKER_00: a world made of delicious,
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: sparkly peanut butter and an adorable disco ball of self-reflection is whirling
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: around in her transforming convertible.
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: Thanks for joining me in my 43rd episode.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: Some of what I'll be sharing includes my answer to last week's question of the week,
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: a note on egos,
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: critically thinking with weed,
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: a perspective dance with hot and cold therapy,
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: PBJ ring of consciousness in action.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: new fashioned irony, and so much more.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: And as always,
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: a brand new question for all of us to self-reflect and self-connect and email me if
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: you desire,
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: selffriendshippodcast at gmail.com.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: My answer to last week's question of the week,
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: which was,
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: what is something you currently have that you previously desired?
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: For me, it's my villa in Bali.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: I didn't know it would be Bali, but I've had clarity around the fact that I want an indoor outdoor home.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: This actually isn't the first variation of it for me either.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: To drop in a little reminder dose of my perspective of manifesting,
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: I've shared this with you guys before,
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: which is the key to manifesting is bringing truth to whatever it is you want to actualize.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: My first degree of bringing truth to this, the indoor outdoor house, is
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: was when I lived in a really cool garage in Venice Beach that opened to a beautiful plant field patio.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: I called it my billionaire garage because I know I'll be a billionaire and all cool
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: billionaires have their first,
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: I started in a garage story.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: Count me in.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: So the villa is yet another level of truth to my grander vision of building,
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: designing at least one indoor outdoor open floor plan home overlooking the ocean
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: cliff side with a zip line slide and stairs all as options to go down to the beach
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: and more.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: A note on fake work.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: I saw a post about fake work and the guy defined it as work that makes you feel
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: like you're progressing,
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: but you're not.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: I think my Planet Butter jet is landing.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: Do you guys hear that?
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: Crazy.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: We're in Los Angeles today, by the way, everybody.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: So the guy defined it as work that makes you feel like you're progressing, but you're not.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: He carried on to describe it as work that is not contributing to revenue.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: like a logo.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: He acknowledged logos are important, but it's not a direct driving factor for revenue.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: This is hilarious to me.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: As usual,
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: unfortunately,
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: it was some big business dude getting hundreds of thousands of likes,
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: blind likes,
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: as I call them,
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: for something that severely lacks critical thinking and intentional thought.
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: The immense support he received on this further fuels the narrative,
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: the follower narrative,
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: as opposed to the advocate narrative Planet Butter is working toward.
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: Sure, if we're thinking one dimensionally, maybe he's right.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: If we take a step back,
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: as we like to do on Planet Butter,
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: and invite ourselves to think multidimensionally,
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: if we are allowing our inspirations to lead us and we find ourselves working on
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: elements of our bigger vision,
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: That, that is not fake work.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: That is amazing.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: Every tiny detail, every piece of fake work is what creates our big picture.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: These tiny details,
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: the fake work,
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: fuel a more sustainable business,
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: which actually means more sustainable revenue.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: To acknowledge this man's point on la money,
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying money isn't inherent in business, obviously.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: I'm actually saying because it's inherent,
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: if we exclusively focus on it and don't allow ourselves to be freely inspired,
- 4:21SPEAKER_00: it becomes narrow-minded.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: Sit on that one.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: Now, why selflessness doesn't exist.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: There's no such thing as selflessness.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: When we do something that is not for ourselves,
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: it is still foundationally,
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: which may or may not be a word,
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: and likely subconsciously rooted in self-serving interest.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: And foundationally, it sounds like a word, but it's underlined.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: Red.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: If it isn't a word, it is now.
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: Add it to Blizzard's blictionary.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: Planet butter sub stack.
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: Even when we think an action is selfless,
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: it is still satisfying some sort of selfish need,
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: be it mental,
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: emotional,
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: or physical.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: When we can own this fact, we can evolve in our self-friendship practice.
- 5:06SPEAKER_00: So when we do something we think is selfless, maybe...
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: we can consider asking ourselves what this action satisfies within us.
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: This reflection allows us to better embrace,
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: understand,
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: and enjoy ourselves in the process of doing the perceivably selfless act,
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: ultimately enabling us to offer even more of ourselves to the world.
- 5:33SPEAKER_00: Now a note on ego.
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: I've got a whole theory deep in the works about the ego.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: I'm very excited about it.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: I'm writing a book.
- 5:43SPEAKER_00: There, I did it.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: A chapter book this time, not a coffee table book for the lesson, although that one's still a gem.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: It's right there.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: I've touched on this a couple of times for you guys throughout the show, the concept of ego.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: Today,
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: I'm just going to offer you for consideration that our ego,
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: as I see it,
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: is the product of our emotional and intellectual capacity as a result of our
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: capacity for consciousness.
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: I'm going to say it one more time.
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: Our ego,
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: as I see it,
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: is the product of our emotional and intellectual capacity as a result of our
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: capacity for consciousness.
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: Let me know what you think about that.
- 6:30SPEAKER_00: Now a note on smoking.
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: Smoking in relation to weed sounds kind of nasty.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: Well, it sounds kind of nasty in general, but in relation to weed, it's like a little dirty.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: So let's change smoking weed to inhaling.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: We're breathing it in like oxygen from trees, a marijuana plant.
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: It just happens to be on fire.
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: Yay.
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: Another thumbs up.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: I started doing the thumbs up on camera instead of saying ta-da.
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: I used to say ta-da like all the time.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: Ta-da.
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: And a thumbs up.
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: Nice.
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: Following that up, critically thinking with weed.
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: For those of you who do smoke weed or inhale weed,
- 7:13SPEAKER_00: I want to put on your radar the consideration of self-friendship,
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: embracing,
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: understanding,
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: and enjoying yourself in relation to your strain selection.
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: If you don't know, there are two primary strains of weed, indica, sativa.
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: Indica is categorized more so as the sleepier strain,
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: whereas sativa is categorized more so as the uplifting strain.
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: Though there's a lot of science behind these marketing frameworks,
- 7:40SPEAKER_00: taking our depth of understanding ourselves into consideration allows us to
- 7:45SPEAKER_00: critically think about our options.
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: For me,
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: with my hyper-excited mind and body that loves physical activity,
- 7:53SPEAKER_00: Indica actually brings a degree of ease to my excitement that supports my focus
- 7:58SPEAKER_00: practices while still welcoming my free-flowing ideas.
- 8:03SPEAKER_00: I absolutely love the heightened sensations I experience,
- 8:06SPEAKER_00: so if and when I do smoke,
- 8:08SPEAKER_00: I love smoking just a little bit before working or engaging in physical activity.
- 8:13SPEAKER_00: As for sativa,
- 8:15SPEAKER_00: I found that I actually become overstimulated and sometimes anxious for the
- 8:19SPEAKER_00: so-called uplifting and energizing effects.
- 8:23SPEAKER_00: Self-reflect, self-connect, which drain is best for you?
- 8:26SPEAKER_00: All right, now a note on knowledge.
- 8:29SPEAKER_00: There is infinite knowledge to consume in this world.
- 8:33SPEAKER_00: Who's to say what's important to know besides you?
- 8:38SPEAKER_00: I know what I know.
- 8:39SPEAKER_00: You know what you know.
- 8:41SPEAKER_00: Together, we can educate each other.
- 8:45SPEAKER_00: That's why it's okay to not know things.
- 8:48SPEAKER_00: Even when it's popular, it's okay.
- 8:51SPEAKER_00: You know a lot of other cool stuff that whoever you're talking to might not know or
- 8:56SPEAKER_00: will be talking to and would benefit from knowing,
- 8:59SPEAKER_00: you know?
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: Now, a perspective dance with hot and cold therapy.
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: Less of a perspective dance, more of a, I just wanted to share this publicly because I think it's funny.
- 9:13SPEAKER_00: Take a hot shower.
- 9:14SPEAKER_00: Eat an ice cream sandwich during it.
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: Yes, I did that.
- 9:18SPEAKER_00: It was awesome.
- 9:19SPEAKER_00: I highly recommend it.
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: My favorite ice cream sandwich is Cool House.
- 9:23SPEAKER_00: They have the best cookies and the ice cream tastes like a cloud.
- 9:29SPEAKER_00: Go get it.
- 9:31SPEAKER_00: Now, a note also, if Cool House, if you want to sponsor Self-Friendship Podcast, I accept.
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: Okay, a note on energy exchanges with the physical world.
- 9:41SPEAKER_00: You know how parents tell kids to say bye to things or hi for that matter?
- 9:45SPEAKER_00: Like I was at the park and this lady said to the child she was with, say bye fountain.
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: And on my flight the other day,
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: I was saying hi to this baby and the baby got all excited,
- 9:55SPEAKER_00: started to say hi back to me.
- 9:57SPEAKER_00: But then the mom bends down and goes, say hi.
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: I said to the mom, I go, well, she was saying hi until now, right?
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: She ruined it.
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: Like, let her be a person on her own.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: Anyway, not the point.
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: So then also one of Planet Butter's Instagram subscribers messaged me observing and
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: appreciating how I say thank you and I love you to things that I care about and or respect.
- 10:23SPEAKER_00: What he doesn't know is that I do that with everything.
- 10:27SPEAKER_00: Anytime I'm anywhere, I say hi when I arrive and thank you when I leave.
- 10:32SPEAKER_00: not just to people,
- 10:34SPEAKER_00: a table in a cafe,
- 10:36SPEAKER_00: the sun,
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: the plants,
- 10:38SPEAKER_00: the moon,
- 10:39SPEAKER_00: my car,
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: chippy,
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: my home,
- 10:41SPEAKER_00: my bed,
- 10:42SPEAKER_00: a bathroom,
- 10:42SPEAKER_00: the kitchen,
- 10:43SPEAKER_00: anything.
- 10:44SPEAKER_00: This microphone, thank you, microphone.
- 10:47SPEAKER_00: See?
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: So I'd love for you to consider speaking kindly to your environment,
- 10:52SPEAKER_00: the physical things around you,
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: the other energies in your environment,
- 10:56SPEAKER_00: like fountains and plants,
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: doors and trees,
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: carpets,
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: rugs,
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: wood floors,
- 11:00SPEAKER_00: marble floors,
- 11:00SPEAKER_00: you name it,
- 11:01SPEAKER_00: all the things.
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: Whatever you have, wherever you are, start saying hi and bye and thank you.
- 11:08SPEAKER_00: Hi, camera.
- 11:09SPEAKER_00: Thank you, camera.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: I love you, camera.
- 11:11SPEAKER_00: It feels good.
- 11:13SPEAKER_00: Then your energy feels good to the things around you.
- 11:15SPEAKER_00: It's all good.
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 11:18SPEAKER_00: Now a perspective dance with meditation.
- 11:22SPEAKER_00: In episode 39, I offer that meditation can be thought of as marinating.
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: We're soaking in ourselves.
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: Today,
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: I want to offer what if we considered meditation as a way to slow down the mind
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: rather than quiet the mind,
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: as is commonly said.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: so that we can better understand how we think,
- 11:42SPEAKER_00: enhancing our daily self-friendship practice of,
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: you know it,
- 11:46SPEAKER_00: embracing,
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: understanding,
- 11:48SPEAKER_00: and enjoying ourselves.
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: And now another perspective dance with alignment.
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: When we say alignment, what we're saying is our embodiment of our role in the ever expansive universe.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: Our connection to the universe is our intuition.
- 12:08SPEAKER_00: the PBJ ring of consciousness begins with prioritizing, listening to our intuition.
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: Then the rest of our decisions that follow are led with intuition,
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: which means a greater connection to the universe,
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: which also means we are best serving society,
- 12:29SPEAKER_00: humanity,
- 12:30SPEAKER_00: the universe,
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: because we're acting in accordance to full circle,
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: our role,
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: in the ever expansive universe.
- 12:40SPEAKER_00: Alignment.
- 12:43SPEAKER_00: Now a self-friendship article snippet.
- 12:46SPEAKER_00: Signs are the language of the uni.
- 12:48SPEAKER_00: The thing is,
- 12:50SPEAKER_00: us humans often internalize these signs as what we project onto them from our own
- 12:55SPEAKER_00: life experiences and desires.
- 12:57SPEAKER_00: Rather than receiving signs as an affirmation of our own alignment,
- 13:01SPEAKER_00: our role in the infinitely expansive universe beyond ourselves
- 13:06SPEAKER_00: It's tricky.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: It's in our best interest to not take signs personally,
- 13:11SPEAKER_00: not internalize,
- 13:12SPEAKER_00: yet understand that the signs we receive are personal to us in that moment.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: Now, the planet butter jet ring of consciousness in action.
- 13:28SPEAKER_00: Intuition, sensations, action, sensations, again,
- 13:36SPEAKER_00: Circle again, intuition, and we repeat.
- 13:40SPEAKER_00: To set the scene, around 7 p.m.
- 13:42SPEAKER_00: the other night,
- 13:43SPEAKER_00: my friend asked me my travel plans,
- 13:45SPEAKER_00: and when they seemed geographically irrational to her,
- 13:48SPEAKER_00: she questioned it,
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: as most people would.
- 13:51SPEAKER_00: I said back to her, and I quote, I very sincerely go with the flow.
- 13:56SPEAKER_00: I'm not going to force going somewhere out of convenience when it's not aligned.
- 14:02SPEAKER_00: It's way more convenient to stay aligned.
- 14:05SPEAKER_00: aligned.
- 14:09SPEAKER_00: This is where the planet butter jet ring comes in.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: Intuition told me it was time to leave New York.
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: Sensations told me I don't really know where yet.
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: Side note,
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: I had Dallas tentative and LA tentative for planet butter things,
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: yay,
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: but neither were locking in and as per the universe and the planet butter jet ring,
- 14:29SPEAKER_00: detachment and action were
- 14:32SPEAKER_00: three action on my part are required for flow.
- 14:37SPEAKER_00: So I leaned into the circumstances of not knowing and inferring,
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: well,
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: if I'm sensing it's time to leave and nowhere specifically pulling me and Bali is
- 14:47SPEAKER_00: my current base,
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: perhaps it's time to go to Bali again.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: So I take the detached action and begin to book my flight to Bali.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: This is where the second sensations comes in.
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: I didn't feel alignment in this action.
- 15:00SPEAKER_00: So we circle again to the start of the cycle with intuition.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: So my intuition said, check my email.
- 15:10SPEAKER_00: I checked while on the phone with the airline.
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: And sure enough, something locked in for plant butter in L.A.
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: My sensation said, yay.
- 15:21SPEAKER_00: My action then, next circle we're in already, became cancel the booking to Bali, reroute to LA, reroute.
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: Sensations check again.
- 15:31SPEAKER_00: All the fingers still excited.
- 15:34SPEAKER_00: It's alignment.
- 15:35SPEAKER_00: Now we watch the magic continue to unfold.
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: Intuition.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: Sensations.
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: Action.
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: Sensations.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: Intuition.
- 15:45SPEAKER_00: Keep it moving.
- 15:47SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 15:48SPEAKER_00: Now, party of one.
- 15:50SPEAKER_00: As a loving reminder,
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: party of one means having fun with oneself,
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: for oneself,
- 15:55SPEAKER_00: as oneself,
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: anywhere,
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: everywhere,
- 15:59SPEAKER_00: no matter who is there.
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: We become our party of one by consistently practicing self-friendship.
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: Each episode,
- 16:05SPEAKER_00: I share little tidbits from my life that happened thanks to me showing up in the
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: world as my party of one.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: So I was bopping around with Chippy, my darling little convertible.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: He's a transforming convertible in the book,
- 16:18SPEAKER_00: coffee table book with a lesson,
- 16:19SPEAKER_00: party of one,
- 16:20SPEAKER_00: self-friendship in action.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: Okay,
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: so we were bopping around the east side of LA in and out of cafes,
- 16:26SPEAKER_00: parks,
- 16:27SPEAKER_00: and decided I wanted to go to a hot yoga class.
- 16:29SPEAKER_00: I found one nearby starting in the next hour.
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: I didn't have workout clothes with me and I realized it was more logical to buy a
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: new outfit than to go home based on timing,
- 16:37SPEAKER_00: traffic,
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: all the good things.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: So I went to the only store nearby that maybe had something for me.
- 16:43SPEAKER_00: They didn't.
- 16:45SPEAKER_00: I decided to show up to the studio anyway,
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: thinking maybe they had a little boutique in the studio as many of them do.
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: They didn't,
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: but the brilliant manager there,
- 16:53SPEAKER_00: Griffin,
- 16:54SPEAKER_00: offers to let me wear clothes from their lost and found that he assured me they washed.
- 16:59SPEAKER_00: I ended up rocking a pair of men's basketball shorts and a dark green sports bra
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: slash tank top situation.
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: Hot.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: Had a good laugh and put myself front and center in the room as I do.
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: Party of one.
- 17:12SPEAKER_00: Now a note on willingness.
- 17:15SPEAKER_00: As acknowledged just now in my party of one, I was willing to go to the studio without being prepared.
- 17:21SPEAKER_00: right,
- 17:22SPEAKER_00: willing to pay for new clothes,
- 17:25SPEAKER_00: all in honor of prioritizing my intuition in the spirit of my self-friendship practice,
- 17:31SPEAKER_00: feeling the pull to go to hot yoga at that time,
- 17:34SPEAKER_00: at that studio,
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: because in embracing understanding and enjoying myself,
- 17:39SPEAKER_00: I know and knew that that will be in my best interest and trusting I would figure
- 17:45SPEAKER_00: it out and that it would work out however it's meant to as I follow my intuition.
- 17:51SPEAKER_00: Then when I left the studio,
- 17:53SPEAKER_00: I forgot to get my parking ticket validated and only realized after I pulled out of
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: my parking spot.
- 17:59SPEAKER_00: Instead of going through the whole ordeal of going back inside, I decided I was willing to pay.
- 18:05SPEAKER_00: I've evolved to believe that the extensive effort in attempt to quote unquote save
- 18:09SPEAKER_00: money is a form of scarcity thinking.
- 18:12SPEAKER_00: That said, I carried on my way only to arrive at the exit, unable to easily locate my ticket.
- 18:19SPEAKER_00: The car behind me, beep, beep, beep.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: I decided I'll reverse out and then I can take time to find my ticket.
- 18:25SPEAKER_00: Within two seconds, a guy magically appears.
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: Meanwhile, there was nobody waiting at the gate, manning the gate before, like when I arrived or leave.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: Like he just appeared, seriously.
- 18:38SPEAKER_00: He asks me if I lost my ticket and I thought he was just being friendly because he didn't,
- 18:42SPEAKER_00: there was no uniform he was wearing or anything that I could tell.
- 18:47SPEAKER_00: And so I said, I'm digging for it.
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: And he said, I'll help you out this time.
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: And I was like, but don't lose it again.
- 18:54SPEAKER_00: And I was like, oh, he must work it.
- 18:55SPEAKER_00: Great.
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: So clearly he did work there, considered my parking validated.
- 19:02SPEAKER_00: The sincere willingness,
- 19:04SPEAKER_00: my sincere willingness to execute something regardless of the perceivable
- 19:09SPEAKER_00: circumstances within my own world creates space for the external world,
- 19:15SPEAKER_00: the universe,
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: to offer its magic.
- 19:18SPEAKER_00: Self-friendship is prioritizing our own best interest because we know that the
- 19:22SPEAKER_00: universe has our back when we do so.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: Ta-da!
- 19:27SPEAKER_00: Now, new-fashioned irony.
- 19:29SPEAKER_00: I...
- 19:31SPEAKER_00: Love some good new fashioned irony.
- 19:34SPEAKER_00: I've traveled a healthy dose of this earth and have experienced countless yoga and honestly,
- 19:41SPEAKER_00: all other types of workout classes where I get in trouble for operating independently.
- 19:47SPEAKER_00: It hurts my brain to think about the level of obscene control issues,
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: rather the lack of self-control issues that exist in this world,
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: resulting in the attempt to control others,
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: even in places like the gym.
- 20:00SPEAKER_00: the gym, a place to freely move and express our bodies, not have a dictator.
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: It's a place we can practice connecting our minds and bodies,
- 20:12SPEAKER_00: listening to our body to indulge in expressing its physical cravings.
- 20:17SPEAKER_00: Workout classes are a place to learn,
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: a place for suggested timing,
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: suggested motion,
- 20:23SPEAKER_00: suggestions,
- 20:24SPEAKER_00: options.
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: As for the Planet Butter Jet Ring of Consciousness, prioritize our intuition,
- 20:30SPEAKER_00: check in sensations, take action, check sensations again, circle forward to intuition.
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: I'm not responsible for your distraction.
- 20:42SPEAKER_00: The only instructor in the entire world,
- 20:45SPEAKER_00: and again,
- 20:45SPEAKER_00: I have traveled the world,
- 20:47SPEAKER_00: not all of it,
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: but some of it.
- 20:52SPEAKER_00: And the only instructor who has ever genuinely encouraged independent practice
- 21:01SPEAKER_00: is Heather Thrills.
- 21:02SPEAKER_00: Find her at Heather Thrills on YouTube and everywhere else.
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: She's based in LA, but she's international.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: Now, a note on my Planet Butter jet.
- 21:15SPEAKER_00: I was talking to somebody about my Planet Butter jet, PBJ, and they said, that's really expensive.
- 21:23SPEAKER_00: And I said,
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: First of all, who said I'm buying it?
- 21:27SPEAKER_00: You're thinking small.
- 21:29SPEAKER_00: Obviously, someone's going to pay me to customize and fly the Planet Butter jet.
- 21:36SPEAKER_00: Think critically.
- 21:37SPEAKER_00: Think creatively.
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: Be conscious.
- 21:41SPEAKER_00: Trust your intuition.
- 21:42SPEAKER_00: Be confident about what it is you want in this lifetime and be open to expanding it.
- 21:49SPEAKER_00: Planet Butter jet.
- 21:51SPEAKER_00: And lastly, the question of the week.
- 21:55SPEAKER_00: What is something you're knowledgeable about that's not perceivably common knowledge?
- 22:01SPEAKER_00: Let me know.
