- 0:00Welcome to the Success by the Book Podcast, the place where Christians who want to experience the extravagant goodness of God in all areas of their lives come from mentorship.
- 0:09I am your host, Dr.
- 0:10Inn, and I'll be unpacking the secrets I have learned from the Word of God over the last two decades.
- 0:15Let's dive in.
- 0:17Many believers only pray for wealth.
- 0:22And if you're praying for wealth, that is not the strategy that God uses.
- 0:28Many believers believe in working hard only for wealth.
- 0:33And if that is your only strategy, God doesn't bring wealth that way.
- 0:39Many believers think God is withholding wealth from them, He's trying to teach them a lesson.
- 0:46But God is not trying to teach a lesson.
- 0:49Like He has principles that we have to learn.
- 0:52Well, He's not trying to teach us a lesson.
- 0:54And so today, what I'm going to show you, I'm going to show you seven priorities that wealthy believers have.
- 1:04Okay?
- 1:05Seven priorities, well, seven priorities, okay, that wealthy believers have.
- 1:12And I'm going to pull from the scriptures.
- 1:14This is true from the scriptures.
- 1:16This is true from believers that live in our time.
- 1:19And it's all going to be from the word of God.
- 1:22If you don't see it in the word, throw it away.
- 1:26But if it's in the word, pay attention and decide to adjust your life accordingly.
- 1:32Okay.
- 1:33This is not going to be, chances are, this is not going to be what you think it is.
- 1:38Okay.
- 1:38You may have an idea of what you think it is, and it may be completely different.
- 1:42But if it's in the word of God, I want you to adopt it.
- 1:46If it's not in the word of God, I want you to throw it away.
- 1:49Okay.
- 1:50And I will tell you, these are principles that I started learning over a decade and a half ago.
- 1:56And I have been using these principles.
- 1:59And I'm not telling you about things that I read in a book only.
- 2:02I'm telling you about things that I've read in a book.
- 2:05I've heard other people teach it.
- 2:06I've applied it in my life.
- 2:08And it works.
- 2:10Okay.
- 2:10It works.
- 2:11By the grace of God, I'm a serial entrepreneur.
- 2:14I run five companies.
- 2:16We have a company that's been on the Inc.
- 2:175000 list of fastest growing companies for three years, okay, in a row.
- 2:22And these things don't happen by accident.
- 2:25And I didn't do the, I did this because of the principles I'm about to show you.
- 2:29Okay.
- 2:30So these are priorities.
- 2:31What that means is these are the people who command kingdom wealth, they place these things above money.
- 2:43They're things that rank above money.
- 2:45We must understand this.
- 2:48We must understand this.
- 2:49And this is for the person who's going to be wealthy.
- 2:53They place these things above their wealth.
- 2:57Okay.
- 2:58And these some of these things are precursors to wealth.
- 3:02All right.
- 3:02So this is going to be so fun.
- 3:04I'm going to I have seven.
- 3:06Now, why is this important?
- 3:08Okay.
- 3:09I have um I have two younger children.
- 3:13I have four children.
- 3:14The oldest are 18 and 16.
- 3:16The youngest are 12.
- 3:17And then my 10-year-old will be 11 in a few days.
- 3:20Okay.
- 3:20So I have two younger children.
- 3:23And I love them.
- 3:24And I love them a lot.
- 3:28But there are certain things I wouldn't give them because they can't handle it yet.
- 3:37So I have cars that, you know, and they have friends that they want to go visit.
- 3:41And but will I give them my car to drive to go visit their friends?
- 3:45No.
- 3:46Is it because I'm withholding something from them?
- 3:49Because, you know, I'm just trying to be mean and I don't want them to have their best life.
- 3:53No, I'm actually keeping what is theirs from them for them, for their protection, for their preservation.
- 4:04Right?
- 4:04And so what that means is for us to experience more and more of what God has for us, we need to grow.
- 4:12So I wasn't planning to read this, but I think this is a good place to start.
- 4:17This is Galatians chapter, Galatians chapter four.
- 4:21Okay.
- 4:22There are things God wants to give you, there are things God wants to give me, but we're not grown up enough for it.
- 4:30Okay, so look at this.
- 4:31It says Galatians chapter four from verse one.
- 4:34Now I say that the heir, as long as he's a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all.
- 4:43So the heir to the kingdom, the heir to the throne, the heir to the inheritance, he has all these things.
- 4:48These things all belong to him.
- 4:50But as long as he's a child, okay, as long as he's a child, he's not gonna get it.
- 4:55So he's not gonna differ anything from the slave that's in the house.
- 4:58It says, but he's put under guardians and stewards until the time appointed to his father by his father.
- 5:04He's put under um guardians and stewards on until he grows.
- 5:09I mean, you think about it, they you when you think about people who have access to an inheritance, uh, parents may put their wealth, their resources in a trust, and they're like, this child doesn't have access to this trust until a certain age, or until they manage their money in a certain way.
- 5:25In fact, I have friends who have built trust, and one of the conditions of having access to the trust is a certain credit score.
- 5:32Because they're like, if you don't have that credit score, it means you don't know how to manage money.
- 5:36And if you don't need to know how to manage money, you don't need to have any of your inheritance yet.
- 5:39So you're not here to just listen and be tickled, you're not here to just say, what is she gonna say?
- 5:44You're here to say, hmm, I'm gonna examine the word of God as the word of God comes to me, and I'm gonna use it to examine my life to figure out where my life is not quite lining up with the word, and I'm going to adjust my life so I can grow, so I can qualify for more of my stuff.
- 6:02Okay, because otherwise, God in his love has to keep some stuff from you because it will hurt you.
- 6:08Okay, okay, all right.
- 6:10So we're gonna look at seven things.
- 6:11Um it's gonna be weird.
- 6:13I'm gonna start from number two first, but you'll see why in a second.
- 6:16Okay.
- 6:17What are the seven things that wealthy believers prioritize?
- 6:24Number one, they prioritize wisdom, revelation, or knowledge, and understanding.
- 6:32Okay, so I'm gonna use wisdom as the word, so I don't have to say all three every single time, but they prioritize this.
- 6:38Why?
- 6:39This is the spiritual precursor of wealth.
- 6:44Okay, it is the intangible asset that creates the tangible assets, which is which is money, which is gold, which is investments, which are real estate portfolio, all of those things.
- 6:57In our kingdom, now let me backtrack a little bit.
- 7:00There are two kingdoms, okay?
- 7:01There are two kingdoms.
- 7:02There's a kingdom of God, which is the kingdom of light, and there's a kingdom of darkness, which is the kingdom of Satan.
- 7:07They operate by two different um um operating systems, they're completely different.
- 7:13Can God make you wealthy?
- 7:14Yes.
- 7:14Can Satan make you wealthy?
- 7:15Yes.
- 7:16Okay, but Satan would make you wealthy because he wants to use that to buy your soul.
- 7:21Like he's like, I'll give you whatever you need as long as you stay away from God and you are going to hell.
- 7:25And you have to understand that the Bible says that what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul?
- 7:31So, in the spiritual realm, all the money in the world and your soul, in the spiritual realm, your soul is more valuable.
- 7:41Both kingdoms understand that your soul is more valuable.
- 7:44So Satan will let you get wealthy at the expense of your soul because what he wants is your soul.
- 7:51That's what he's after.
- 7:52He's after your soul.
- 7:54And if he has to give you all the money, make you wealthy, make you a star, all that to take to take your soul, he's willing to do that.
- 8:00Okay.
- 8:01God, on the other hand, will make you wealthy as a result of the prosperity of your soul.
- 8:08So you're not sacrificing one for the other because he's more interested in your soul than he is in the wealth.
- 8:15Right?
- 8:16So there are two kingdoms.
- 8:17Now, with Satan's kingdom, you don't need wisdom.
- 8:19You don't, in fact, if you have the wisdom, you wouldn't follow him.
- 8:23You don't need wisdom, you don't need anything I'm talking about.
- 8:25If you want wisdom, if you want wealth, Satan's way.
- 8:28You don't need anything I'm talking about.
- 8:30But if you want it in God's way, where your soul is flourishing and your family is flourishing, and your health is flourishing, and your finances are flourishing.
- 8:42If you want that, then this is his way.
- 8:46Okay, this is the way.
- 8:48There's there's no other is his way, so it's his way we're looking at.
- 8:52So you might say it doesn't take all that, it same way it doesn't, but God's way does.
- 8:56And we're not here.
- 8:57This is success by the book, and the book in question is this book.
- 9:00Okay, so we're here to look at God's way.
- 9:04Okay, so so number two, right?
- 9:08I told you we're starting from number two.
- 9:09Number two is wisdom, and in God's economy, you acquire the intangible assets, wisdom, revelation, understanding, that produces the tangible assets, which is money.
- 9:25If you don't have value for wisdom, knowledge, understanding, then you don't have value for kingdom wealth.
- 9:33Right?
- 9:33Okay, I'm not gonna read about Solomon, but you have to look that the wisest man was the richest man.
- 9:41Okay, but let's look at this scripture here.
- 9:44So I'm gonna read Proverbs, um, Proverbs chapter, Proverbs chapter eight, and I'm gonna read a number of verses, okay?
- 9:51Pay attention to this.
- 9:52This is the word of God, okay.
- 9:53If it's not in the word, throw it away.
- 9:55But this is the way God sees things.
- 9:56So Proverbs chapter eight, I'm gonna start from verse 18.
- 10:00And if you look from verse um 12, you'll see that it said, I wisdom.
- 10:06So the wisdom is talking.
- 10:07Please pay attention to this.
- 10:09Okay, so verse 18, it says, Riches and honor are with me, with who?
- 10:17Wisdom.
- 10:18So when I acquire wisdom, what I'm also acquiring is riches and honor.
- 10:26Okay, so wisdom first, not riches first, wisdom first.
- 10:32Okay, riches and honor are with me, enduring riches and righteousness.
- 10:39My fruit is better than gold.
- 10:41It didn't say have wisdom or gold, it said my fruit is better than gold, which means wisdom number one, gold number two.
- 10:47Okay, wisdom number one, gold number two is better.
- 10:50Okay, wisdom, my fruit is better than gold, yes, than fine gold, and my revenue than choice silver.
- 10:58I traverse the way of righteousness in the midst of the paths of justice.
- 11:03Now, listen to verse 21.
- 11:05That I may cause those who love me, wisdom, to inherit wealth.
- 11:12So, what is the inheritance you get after you acquire wisdom?
- 11:17It's wealth.
- 11:19It's wealth, okay.
- 11:20So that I may cause those who love me to inherit wealth, that I may fill their treasuries, okay?
- 11:27Aka bank accounts, investment portfolios, all of those things.
- 11:30But what precedes it, wisdom.
- 11:34Okay, wisdom.
- 11:35So if I am somebody who wants to be wealthy, I'm not necessarily the dollars.
- 11:44What we're talking about here are the intangible things that will create wealth.
- 11:48I'm not first going after the dollars, I'm first going after wisdom, knowledge, understanding, wisdom.
- 11:54Like what are God's frameworks for doing things?
- 11:57Why do they exist that way?
- 11:59What is the application of these things, right?
- 12:02Is the wisdom of God?
- 12:04We've talked about spiritual intelligence, is going after that.
- 12:08When I go after that and acquire it, then what follows it is wealth.
- 12:14Okay, okay, let me give you another one.
- 12:17Proverbs chapter three.
- 12:18Let me give you another one.
- 12:20I'm gonna read a number of verses here.
- 12:22A number of verses.
- 12:23Okay, Proverbs chapter three from verse 13.
- 12:27Okay, I'm gonna read about seven verses.
- 12:29This is success by the book, after all.
- 12:30Pay attention to this.
- 12:31This is the word of God.
- 12:32This is so good.
- 12:33It says, Happy is the man who finds wisdom, not who finds wealth.
- 12:38Happy is the man who finds wisdom.
- 12:41Interesting.
- 12:42Why should this man be happy?
- 12:44Pay attention.
- 12:45It says, Okay, happy is the man who finds wisdom and the man who gains understanding.
- 12:50Why?
- 12:51Why?
- 12:52The Bible then goes on to say from verse 14, for her proceeds, the proceeds of wisdom and understanding are better than the prophets of silver.
- 13:01Now, I didn't say there's anything wrong with the prophets of silver.
- 13:03It's number one, wisdom, number two, prophets of silver.
- 13:06Okay, then it says, and her gain than fine gold.
- 13:09Interesting.
- 13:10She's more precious than rubies, and all the things you desire cannot compare with her.
- 13:15What is that?
- 13:16Wisdom.
- 13:17Listen, we have to be people who go after wisdom.
- 13:21So this whole ideology of like, like we have to be people who pray for wisdom.
- 13:25We have to be people who study the word, trusting God to pull the wisdom out of it.
- 13:29We have to be people practicing the word of God so we have experience in wisdom.
- 13:34We have to have we have to be the people who read the books that are required for what we need to do.
- 13:39We have to be the people who prioritize mentorship, people who have a mentorship by people who have acquired wisdom ahead of us.
- 13:45We're people who actively go after wisdom.
- 13:48Why?
- 13:48Wealth is attached to it.
- 13:50Wealth is attached to it.
- 13:52Okay, so let's keep going.
- 13:53Verse 16 length of days is in her right hand.
- 13:56This is wisdom.
- 13:57In her left hand, riches and honor.
- 14:00There we go again.
- 14:01Riches and honor.
- 14:02Okay, verse 17.
- 14:04Her ways are of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.
- 14:08She's a tree of life to those who take hold of her, and happy are all who retain her.
- 14:13Now, I want to show you, you know, part of a huge part of wisdom is seeing God's way of doing things and then modeling that in our own lives.
- 14:23It's monkey see monkey do.
- 14:25Okay.
- 14:25Now pay attention to verse 19.
- 14:27So Proverbs chapter 3, verse 19.
- 14:29It says, The Lord by wisdom founded the earth.
- 14:33I want you to imagine the earth with all 196 countries, with all the precious minerals, with all the valuable gemstones, with all the wonders and sites, the oceans, all of these things.
- 14:46Think about this whole thing.
- 14:47Like, is is when we say someone has a real estate portfolio, God has the real estate portfolio because everybody's portfolio is part of his portfolio.
- 14:56You get that's how big this wealth is.
- 14:59God, the Lord by wisdom founded the earth.
- 15:03He founded it using wisdom.
- 15:05What will we use to found, if you will, our financial lives, our financial journey?
- 15:10It's wisdom, it's the foundation of it.
- 15:12Okay.
- 15:13The Lord by wisdom founded the earth.
- 15:15By understanding, he established the heavens.
- 15:18So now we've left the earth.
- 15:19Now we're looking at the heavens.
- 15:20That great expanse.
- 15:22How did he establish it?
- 15:24Through understanding.
- 15:25Then it says, by his knowledge, the depths were broken up and clouds drop down with dew.
- 15:30So if God used wisdom, understanding, knowledge to create, then guess what we have to use?
- 15:37Wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.
- 15:39We have to be people who go after this.
- 15:41We're not going to say, Oh, I'm going to go after wealth.
- 15:43I don't care about this wisdom stuff.
- 15:44That's Satan's way.
- 15:45That's not God's way.
- 15:46God's way is you acquire wisdom.
- 15:49You acquire wisdom, understanding, revelation.
- 15:52You acquire spiritual intelligence.
- 15:54And this spiritual intelligence delivers wealth to you.
- 15:57So that was Proverbs chapter 3, verse 13 to 20.
- 16:01Okay, so number two, the seven priorities.
- 16:05The second priority is wisdom.
- 16:10Wisdom, revelation, understanding.
- 16:12We gotta have these things.
- 16:14We gotta have these things.
- 16:15We gotta go after these things.
- 16:17We have to chase after these things.
- 16:19We have to chase after it.
- 16:21It has to be a priority for us.
- 16:23We are not the people who don't read.
- 16:25We're not the people who don't pray.
- 16:26We're not the people who don't read the Bible.
- 16:28We're not the people who say, I know the word of God says it, but no, no, no.
- 16:31We look for how he does things and we model after him.
- 16:35That is wisdom.
- 16:36That is wisdom.
- 16:38Okay.
- 16:38All right.
- 16:38So that's number two.
- 16:40Number two.
- 16:41And team, I did a substack article on praying for wisdom is not enough.
- 16:45If you want to post that in the chat, um, for the people who didn't get it the first time we talked about it, so you you can see like these are some of the things I can do to acquire wisdom.
- 16:55Okay, okay, so that's the that's number two.
- 16:57Number two is wisdom, revelation, understanding.
- 16:59Number one, number one, and you see why I did it in reverse, is the fear of the Lord.
- 17:07Okay, now we talk about wisdom, right?
- 17:09Like wisdom is the thing that we need to get, but look at this.
- 17:13The Bible says in Proverbs chapter 1, verse 7, it says, The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.
- 17:21Now, knowledge is the foundation of wisdom, right?
- 17:24So it's knowledge, they apply understanding, and the you know, the application of his wisdom is the foundation.
- 17:29That knowledge, there's no knowledge to be had without the fear of God.
- 17:34And fear is not like fear, the way you'd be afraid of a snake or something bad happening or anything like that.
- 17:38No, it is reverence for God and obedience to God, right?
- 17:47It's reverence and obedience.
- 17:50That's what fear is.
- 17:51It's reverence, it's it's honoring him, it's seeing him as the final authority, is acknowledging him as God, acknowledging him as sovereign, is acknowledging that his ways are the most superior ways of doing things.
- 18:05It's acknowledging and and deciding to live a life of obedience out of fear, respect, reverence for him, right?
- 18:14Is the fear of God.
- 18:15You might say, What is if Dr.
- 18:17Uda, I thought you were gonna show us how to invest in crypto.
- 18:20Well, listen, I am telling you the foundations that cannot be broken if you want to be a person who walks in wealth.
- 18:31Okay, so the first thing is the fear of God, because no fear of God, no knowledge, no knowledge, no wisdom, no wisdom, no kingdom wealth.
- 18:43Now, we're not talking about Satan's wealth, we're talking about kingdom wealth, which is a whole lot of wealth, right?
- 18:50Like if you missed the training we did on, you know, holy, humble, and rich, then you need to catch that, okay?
- 18:55Okay, so it is the fear of God, no fear of God, no knowledge.
- 19:04There is the deception that Satan has sold us, and that is that, you know, God is not modern, God is old school, God is out of touch with reality, God doesn't really understand how this money thing works.
- 19:20So I can be a good Christian over here, but if I need to make money, I need to go figure out the way to do it because God doesn't get all, God doesn't really understand all of those things.
- 19:31It's and if you when you think about you're like, no, I don't think that.
- 19:37But the the thing is this if we choose not to do God's things, do things God's way, or we don't think that there's application for wealth in the scriptures and things, is because subconsciously we've believed this ideology that God doesn't quite understand these, like subconsciously, we we've adopted it.
- 19:55So there's this thing of, you know, if I go deeper in God, if I really embrace God and his ways of doing things, then the consequence is that, you know, I can't really be wealthy because God doesn't really do stuff like that, right?
- 20:07So you you know, I have to kind of go figure it out over here.
- 20:14No, the fear of the Lord, the reverence of God, obedience, putting God as number one, putting God as your final authority, choosing to live for an audience of one.
- 20:27These things don't make you poorer, they make you richer.
- 20:32These things do not make you poorer, they make you richer.
- 20:36You have to understand this because there is this subconscious thing.
- 20:39The deeper I go in God, the more irrelevant I am in the world, and the less rich I'll be, and the less all of that.
- 20:46No, no, okay, now let me walk you through a scripture.
- 20:49So, Isaiah chapter 60, this is what it says it says, Arise, shine, for your light has come.
- 20:57You don't have the light, but the light has come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you, not your glory, his glory.
- 21:05Okay, so his glory is risen upon you.
- 21:08Then in verse 2, it says, Darkness is over the earth, gross darkness is over the people, but the glory of the Lord has been risen upon you.
- 21:14Now, when we think about the glory of the Lord being risen upon us, we're like, oh, this spiritual theme, you know, nobody can see, but we're deep in God, and we're you know singing hallelujah, and you know, we're just out of touch with reality.
- 21:25No, but verse three then says that gentiles will come to your light.
- 21:31Hello, the glory of the Lord is on me.
- 21:33You've been walking with though, the glory of the Lord is on you.
- 21:36It's not a it's not a there's no halo.
- 21:38Can you see a halo above?
- 21:40Like there's no halo there.
- 21:41So, what is it that the Gentiles saw that made them come?
- 21:45And this goes on to say, and the kings came to the brightness of your rising.
- 21:49What is it that made kings come look for you?
- 21:53Going deeper in God doesn't make you irrelevant, it's made it makes you more relevant.
- 22:00Going deeper in God doesn't make you poorer, it makes you richer.
- 22:05You have to understand this.
- 22:07So the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, and knowledge is the foundation for wisdom.
- 22:13And when you acquire wisdom, in wisdom's left hand is riches and honor.
- 22:19And rich wisdom's job is to cause you to inherit wealth.
- 22:24That's what the word of God says.
- 22:25I'm not making any of this stuff up.
- 22:28So that is why we say part of our daily declarations is that we go deeper in God to go higher in every area of our lives.
- 22:37Going deeper in God takes you higher, not lower.
- 22:41This is why when we think of going all in in God, we we hold back because we're like, oh, the opportunity cost is I'll no longer have a life.
- 22:49That's not what it means.
- 22:51That's not what it means at all.
- 22:54That is not what it means at all.
- 22:56Satan cannot possibly pay his kids more than God pays his kids.
- 23:00Right?
- 23:01It's just that he doesn't pay, you know, like Bank of America will pay you.
- 23:06He doesn't pay every two weeks.
- 23:07God pays on a day called payday.
- 23:09Oh, but when he pays, everybody will know he paid you.
- 23:14Everybody will know.
- 23:16Everybody will know.
- 23:17Okay.
- 23:18This place, living for an audience of one, is the most profitable thing you can do for your life.
- 23:27And that audience, the one in this audience of one is God.
- 23:29Like I live for him alone.
- 23:32I live to honor him, to reverence him, to worship him, to discover his ways, to be to um follow his ways, to live holy.
- 23:43Holy means that you're separate, you're sanctified, you're his.
- 23:46And so the world can be doing what the world is doing.
- 23:49I'm doing what God wants me to do.
- 23:51This is my life.
- 23:53David said it.
- 23:54He said, The Lord is my shepherd.
- 23:57What does that mean?
- 23:59It means I live for him, like he leads me in the way I should go, and I go the way he said I should go.
- 24:05But that is the life, that is the soft life, that is the beautiful life.
- 24:09You do you do not lose life for following God, you gain life.
- 24:15The Bible says the thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy.
- 24:19And Jesus said, But I have come that they may have life and they may have it more abundantly.
- 24:27And live for an audience of one.
- 24:29Please understand, you don't have to, you don't have to give up living for an audience of one to be wealthy.
- 24:36You don't have to no longer obey God to be wealthy.
- 24:40You don't have to.
- 24:47Everything.
- 24:49Okay.
- 24:50All right.
- 24:51So that's number two is the fear of the Lord.
- 24:53Is the fear of the Lord?
- 24:55Can you be holy and humble and set apart and living for God and wealthy?
- 25:00Yes, a thousand times yes.
- 25:03And it's a priority because this is the deal.
- 25:07When you want to discover, one of the ways you go to discover God's value system is you go look at the what we call the Lord's prayer.
- 25:19Okay.
- 25:20The disciples came to Jesus and they said, Jesus, teach us how to pray.
- 25:25And Jesus said, okay, and he gave them a template, he gave them a blueprint.
- 25:29So it's not necessarily a prayer to be repeated, it's a structure of prayer.
- 25:34And so this is what he said: Our Father.
- 25:37The very first thing is relationship.
- 25:41Our Father, in his value system, relationship.
- 25:46Who art in heaven, hallowed be your name.
- 25:49That is bringing glory to the name of God, right?
- 25:52His name being exalted in the earth, all of that stuff.
- 25:55He said, Our father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, his kingdom, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
- 26:04Let your kingdom come, let your will be established.
- 26:07Then give us this day our daily bread.
- 26:11So you see where wealth falls?
- 26:14Wealth is after all of that.
- 26:16Your relationship with God comes before wealth.
- 26:18Your the establishment of God's kingdom comes before wealth.
- 26:22God's will being established in the earth, it comes before wealth.
- 26:27God has Him, His name, His Kingdom, all of that stuff before the money.
- 26:35And wisdom means adopting what God does.
- 26:38What does that mean?
- 26:40My relationship with God comes before wealth.
- 26:44The advancement of God's kingdom comes before wealth.
- 26:46God's will being established comes before wealth.
- 26:49But is there wealth?
- 26:50Yes.
- 26:52Yes.
- 26:54So we are not going to pursue wealth in such a way that wealth becomes number one and God becomes number two.
- 26:59Never, never, never.
- 27:01We are going to observe the proper order.
- 27:03Okay.
- 27:04So number one, we can now put in proper order, is the fear of the Lord.
- 27:07Number two, wisdom, the acquisition of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.
- 27:12Number three, the advancement of God's kingdom.
- 27:16So we already talked about the Lord's Prayer a little bit there, but the advancement of God's kingdom comes before your wealth.
- 27:22Let me tell you why.
- 27:26God's kingdom comes before our wealth.
- 27:31God's kingdom costs money to run.
- 27:35God is looking for people to pass money through to advance his kingdom.
- 27:41If you tack on your wealth journey to the advancement of God's kingdom, God will do anything.
- 27:52Okay, hang on.
- 27:53Let's uh back, just come back with me.
- 27:56Let's read the scripture here.
- 27:58I want you to see the principles.
- 27:59I want you to see this from the word of God.
- 28:01This is not Dr.
- 28:02Una's philosophy.
- 28:03Okay.
- 28:04If you guys are as mind-blown as I am, you can already throw up your emojis because I'm like, whoa, now pay attention to this.
- 28:11Okay.
- 28:12So Solomon was made king.
- 28:16I want you to see somebody who did this.
- 28:20Okay.
- 28:20Solomon was made king.
- 28:22And so he went and he he burnt a thousand burnt offerings.
- 28:27Okay.
- 28:27He gave God a thousand burnt offerings in one day.
- 28:30I want you to think about a thousand.
- 28:33And God came that night and God gave him a blank check.
- 28:36God said, Solomon, what do you want?
- 28:40What do you want?
- 28:41This is what he said.
- 28:43Now pay attention to the prayer because you're going to see a lot of the things we've been talking about here.
- 28:47So let me start from verse 7.
- 28:49So 2 Chronicles chapter 1, verse 7.
- 28:51It says, On that night, God appeared to Solomon and said, Ask, what shall I give you?
- 28:56Now, most people would have said, Oh, give me a million dollars.
- 29:01Give me a hundred million in real estate, you have a hundred million dollar real estate portfolio.
- 29:07Give me this, give me that.
- 29:08Like they're things, or give me a husband, whatever.
- 29:11Like there's specific things they would have asked for.
- 29:14And did Solomon need those things?
- 29:15Of course he did, but pay attention.
- 29:19Because this is the wisdom the richest man who ever lived used.
- 29:26Pay attention.
- 29:27This is what he said.
- 29:28He said, and Solomon said to God, He said, You have shown great mercy to David, my father, and I've made me king in his place.
- 29:34Now, O Lord, let your promise to David, my father, be established, for you have made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.
- 29:43What is that?
- 29:44His assignment, his God-given assignment.
- 29:47Now, then he starts asking.
- 29:52Verse 10.
- 29:53Now, give me wisdom and knowledge.
- 29:57Hello.
- 29:58Do you guys remember that's number two?
- 30:00The richest man in the world who was going to become the richest man in the world had the opportunity to cash a blank check signed by God.
- 30:09And the first thing that came out of his mouth was, Give me wisdom and knowledge.
- 30:16Why?
- 30:17These are precursors.
- 30:20These are precursors.
- 30:22Okay.
- 30:23Now give me wisdom and knowledge.
- 30:25And now he didn't just ask for wisdom and knowledge so he can have wealth and he can be the richest man.
- 30:30That's not what he asked for.
- 30:31He said, Give me wisdom and knowledge that I may go out and come in before these people, that I may lead these people, that I may govern these people.
- 30:42For who can judge this great people of yours?
- 30:45So he asked for wisdom and knowledge to advance God's kingdom.
- 30:53He asked for wisdom and knowledge to complete his God-given assignment, which was leading the people of Israel.
- 31:02He asked for wisdom and knowledge to advance God's kingdom.
- 31:06This man had a blank check, and he asked for wisdom and knowledge to advance God's kingdom.
- 31:14To complete his assignment.
- 31:27Verse 11.
- 31:29Then God said to Solomon, Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked for riches or wealth or the or honor or the life of your enemies, nor have you asked for long life, but you have asked for wisdom and knowledge for yourself.
- 31:43Number one, that wisdom and knowledge that you may judge my people over whom I have made you king, because you asked me for wisdom and knowledge to complete my assignment, to advance my kingdom, because you put my kingdom first.
- 31:58Because of that, let's see what happens.
- 32:01Verse 12 wisdom and knowledge, the thing you asked for, are granted to you, and I will give you riches, wealth, honor, such as none of the kings have had who were before you, now shall nor shall any after you have the like.
- 32:18Hello.
- 32:21I mean, hello.
- 32:23God said, Because you cared this much for my kingdom, the wealth that other people are asking for, I'll give you.
- 32:31Because notice what he said.
- 32:32He says, Because you've not asked for all of these other things, because that's what you could have asked for.
- 32:36So you didn't ask for wealth, I'll give you.
- 32:39You didn't ask for riches, I'll give you.
- 32:40You didn't ask for honor, I'll give you.
- 32:42And not only will I give you, I will give you a level nobody's had before.
- 32:45I will make you a sign and a wonder.
- 32:47Why?
- 32:47Because you want to advance my kingdom.
- 32:51In this kingdom, choosing to chase money at the expense of the advancement of God's kingdom doesn't make you richer.
- 33:00Advancing God's kingdom, putting that as a priority, makes you richer.
- 33:08It does.
- 33:10It does.
- 33:13Okay.
- 33:14Maybe I should show you another example.
- 33:16Let me see.
- 33:16I wasn't planning to read that.
- 33:18Let me see.
- 33:19If you pray for me, I will find it.
- 33:22Okay.
- 33:23Who did he learn this from?
- 33:24He learned it from his dad.
- 33:26Let me show you.
- 33:26Let me show you his father.
- 33:30Actually, I won't read it, but let me tell you the story.
- 33:34So David became king.
- 33:37So David was Solomon's father.
- 33:39David became king, and you know, he had secured the kingdom.
- 33:44You know, he he's built his own house.
- 33:46And one day he was just like, you know, here I am living in this magnificent palace.
- 33:53Nobody, nobody asked David for what he was about to say.
- 33:57Nobody asked him for this.
- 33:58This is just God is minding his business, David's minding his business, and this is where we go.
- 34:02He says, Here I am living in this palace, but the Ark of Covenant is in a tent.
- 34:09Now, ever since there was an Ark of Covenant, it has been in a tent.
- 34:14This is not a new thing.
- 34:16Ever since it was there in Moses' time, it was in a tent.
- 34:21But this is somebody who is so addicted to the advancement of God's kingdom, to the glorifying of the name of God.
- 34:29He's like, ah, he's like, I am in a palace.
- 34:32God's our ark of covenant is in is in a tent.
- 34:35I will build God a house.
- 34:36Nobody asked him.
- 34:37He has never seen a house built for God before.
- 34:40Like never.
- 34:42And God was like, my goodness, he tells Nathan, he's like, go, go, go talk to David.
- 34:48He said, Because this is in your heart.
- 34:51I you want to build me a house, I will build you a house.
- 34:54That's what I'm trying to tell you.
- 34:55Like, when you go after the advancement of God's kingdom, the you know, pushing his agenda forward, doing all of that stuff, God, God is like, What can I do?
- 35:06Like, what do I do for this person?
- 35:08Meanwhile, other people are praying to God, do this for me, do this for me.
- 35:11And it's like, there's no answer.
- 35:12But there are other people that God is like, What can I possibly possibly do for these people?
- 35:20Okay.
- 35:21So he said, because you you want you wanted to build me a house, he said, Devo, Devo, I will build you a house.
- 35:29I will build you an everlasting dynasty of kings.
- 35:36Not only like you will be a king, all your descent.
- 35:40You you see this kingdom?
- 35:42This kingdom, you will always have a king on the throne.
- 35:45People talk about generational wealth going for three generations.
- 35:49The people who really do the most is get it to seven generations.
- 35:53David's generation of kings is still going because Jesus had to come as the son of David for God to fulfill his words for him.
- 36:02He always had.
- 36:03Meanwhile, Saul was king before him.
- 36:05Saul was just him, nobody after Saul became king.
- 36:08David, all generations.
- 36:12So when we run away, like we don't, like all this giving thing, all this advancing, all this, they're just using my head.
- 36:18Uh-uh.
- 36:19Nobody, nobody's using your head.
- 36:21That you have to understand when Satan is talking to you.
- 36:25If the advancement of God's kingdom puts you in a position where God is now looking for what you ought to do for you, you have to understand that Satan will tell you, oh, don't do all that.
- 36:34They don't take all that.
- 36:35Oh, they're taking advantage of you.
- 36:36They're using you like, ah, why would you?
- 36:38No.
- 36:38Mm-mm.
- 36:40You have to understand when Satan is the one talking.
- 36:43In God's value system, our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come.
- 36:49So there, you know, my uh my pastor, Pastor Steve, who is my husband, he he tells his story.
- 36:56Um, you know, he actually told it recently, where he was attending a church.
- 37:02This is wow, this is like 26, 27 years ago, really long time ago.
- 37:08And he was attending this church, and it was a new church plant.
- 37:11And this was in Nigeria.
- 37:14And, you know, he would come to the he would come to the church, and everybody is, you know, like it's hot.
- 37:19I mean, it's in Nigeria, and there are no, there are no fans, forget air conditioning.
- 37:23At this time, there are no fans, there's nothing.
- 37:26And so he on his own, God didn't ask him for this.
- 37:29The pastor didn't, nobody asked for this.
- 37:32He would then go work all week.
- 37:34So he had one of these, one of the you know, business he had, if you will, at that time was making these in Nigeria.
- 37:41We called them pure water.
- 37:43Okay, so in the comments, if you know what pure water is, and say, I got you, Dr.
- 37:46Una.
- 37:46But really, what it is is is making almost like little bags, like plastic bags of water.
- 37:52That's what it was.
- 37:53Okay.
- 37:54And so he would make them and sell them.
- 37:57And he would sell them all week long to get enough money to buy a fan, right?
- 38:05Like an industrial fan to buy a fan.
- 38:07And so he so he did it the first week, then position that fan like right next to the pastor, so the pastor doesn't have to sweat and all of that stuff while, you know, like while he's preaching.
- 38:19And then he'll go back, he'll work the entire of the week to then buy another fan, position.
- 38:24So I don't know how many he had bought, five or six or seven or whatever.
- 38:28And one day he was in church, and I think, you know, the the pastor then noticed and he's like, you know, oh my goodness, you know, whoever is doing this, God will bless you, and all of this, you know, stuff like that.
- 38:39And um, I see my people were like, yeah, we got you, we know what pure water is.
- 38:44Um and he says that during the service, he heard God talk to him.
- 38:52It was one of the, you know, like it was one of the clearest things God had ever told him up until that time.
- 39:00And God said, Because you took away heat from my house, I will take away heat from your life.
- 39:12I want you to hear this.
- 39:14God said, Because you have taken away heat from my house, you have to understand, God cares about his kingdom.
- 39:21And when you go to make shifts in his kingdom, he sees these things.
- 39:25This is you taking up employment in the kingdom of God.
- 39:28You don't have to apply, you don't have to, you know, you you just you just come and you do the work.
- 39:32Okay?
- 39:33You take up a job, you do the work.
- 39:35God said, Because you took away heat from my house, I will take away heat from your life.
- 39:44And over 26, 27 years, he's now in a position where he's a serial entrepreneur, he's an investor.
- 39:54Now he, now at that time, he was just someone going to church.
- 39:57Now he pastors a church.
- 40:00He pastors a church, he pastors a thriving church, he he has so many breakthroughs happening in his life, like so many breakthroughs, and God has truly taken away heat from his life because he took up a project to take away heat from God's house.
- 40:17Do you understand this?
- 40:20I'll give you another example.
- 40:22Um, I I um had the opportunity to um live with my pastor, okay, at the time.
- 40:34This was I was in um my intern year after medical school.
- 40:39So this was in Nigeria.
- 40:40I went to medical school, I went to the University of Nigeria, and I for my intern year, I had the opportunity to live with with my pastor, okay, and his wife.
- 40:54So my pastors.
- 40:56And so while I was there, I knew that I was going to ultimately come back to the US, right?
- 41:04And you know, for context, my my dad, you know, after we were very young, so we moved back to Nigeria when I was six.
- 41:12And my dad was like, you know, oh yeah, you know, you guys are gonna have the culture and all of that stuff.
- 41:16So we're going to Nigeria, and then after you're done with your first degree or whatever, then you can come back to the US.
- 41:22So I was in the US, I was in the US till I was about six, and then I was in Nigeria till I was 20 for another 20 years, and then I came back when I was 26.
- 41:30So it's kind of interesting how that journey went.
- 41:32So this was my year after medical school, and so that entire year, um I while I was with them, I had I had opportunities.
- 41:44And guys, please listen to this.
- 41:47When you are close to a servant of God, you have to understand that there are two people.
- 41:54There's the person, and then there is the person who occupies the office.
- 42:00So for instance, I am married to my pastor, right?
- 42:03And so there is the person who is my husband and the person who is my pastor, they're two different people.
- 42:09And if I reduce that relationship to only my husband, then I can only get from that relationship what the husband can give me.
- 42:19But if I understand that they're two and I honor both, then I can get what a husband gives and I can get what the man of God gives.
- 42:26You see, you guys see that?
- 42:27And so when I was with my pastor, I was there.
- 42:32I was like, okay, Lord, I am going to a country.
- 42:34I'm moving back to a country where it is very hard to find good help for, you know, when you're raising your kids and all of those things.
- 42:44Um, it's either not affordable or it's not available or whatever.
- 42:47And I was like, I am going to serve here and I am releasing my faith that when I move over, I will never look for help.
- 42:57Never, never, ever, ever look for help.
- 43:00Okay.
- 43:01And so while I was there, I did whatever I could do, right?
- 43:05I cleaned, I, you know, fetched water, you know, because that's how it worked there.
- 43:10Um, I served in every capacity I knew how to serve.
- 43:14Okay.
- 43:15And this is as a physician.
- 43:17And I will tell you this because you have to understand it's a man of God, so it's an office.
- 43:21It's like I'm honoring God by on like by supporting this person who is doing the kingdom agenda, right?
- 43:27Like I wasn't the one preaching, but I was supporting the person who was preaching.
- 43:31You know what?
- 43:33Um, from the from the moment I had kids, I have never been without help.
- 43:42It has never happened.
- 43:44I have never, like, God will arrange for this person to come, they'll be for me with me for a week or two, God will arrange for another person to come, they'll be for me for five years, six years, God will arrange for a third set of people to come.
- 43:55When I had my my fourth child, my third Third, when I had my third, no, my fourth child, I was up with her, you know, the way, oh, I had a baby, I don't have a life anymore.
- 44:06I'm up all you know, up all night, I'm not getting any sleep.
- 44:09When I had my daughter, my my fourth, I got so advanced in this stuff that I was up with her overnight for nine nights.
- 44:18Like one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, nine nights.
- 44:23And after that, I had a group of mentees and they made a roster and they were up with her at night.
- 44:29So at night I'm like, okay, I have my phone.
- 44:31If you need me, let me know.
- 44:32And I was in bed.
- 44:34I slept better than people that didn't have a newborn.
- 44:39You have to understand what I'm trying to tell you.
- 44:43When your agenda is to advance God's agenda, right?
- 44:48What God will do for you will blow your mind.
- 44:52Okay, so let's keep going.
- 44:55Okay, you guys need to pray for me.
- 44:57I'm only on number three.
- 44:58We're gonna have to do a part two.
- 45:00Okay.
- 45:01Number four.
- 45:02Okay, so number, I'm gonna give you number four.
- 45:05We might end up stopping at number four, and then we're going to do the other three at a at a number time because I don't want to rush this.
- 45:11I want us to get this.
- 45:12I want us to get this.
- 45:13That's the important thing.
- 45:14Okay, number four.
- 45:16Um, high-level value creation or problem solving.
- 45:23Please hear me.
- 45:24Okay, because the worst thing we can do after we know that, okay, we create wealth is then we decide, well, won't he do it?
- 45:32You, you, you, you are God's partner.
- 45:36Okay, God does stuff with you.
- 45:39God does stuff with you, he does stuff with me.
- 45:41He doesn't just do stuff.
- 45:43Like, there's some stuff he just does, but that that's not that that's not the way he designed it.
- 45:46He wants to work with his kids, he wants to work with you.
- 45:50Okay, so high value, high-level value creation or problem solving.
- 45:55Okay, uh, let me let me give you examples of this, okay.
- 46:00David, um David set himself up by solving a high value problem.
- 46:12What was the high value problem?
- 46:14A national problem called Goliath.
- 46:19Okay, so there was a problem.
- 46:21The nation of Israel was at war with the Philistines.
- 46:24The Philistines said, Don't bother fighting, right?
- 46:27Goliath came out, he said, Don't bother fighting, you just give me give me your um give me a champion, I'll fight the champion.
- 46:34If we win, you're our slaves.
- 46:35If they win, we're your slaves.
- 46:37The entire nation ran away, the king ran away, every soldier ran away.
- 46:43It was a high value, it was a high-level problem.
- 46:48And David came and solved that problem.
- 46:52And David went from somebody watching sheep at the back side of the desert to the commander of the army.
- 47:01Why?
- 47:01Because he solved a problem.
- 47:06Okay, Daniel.
- 47:10Daniel came and Daniel was promoted time after time after time, not because he just had favor, but because he solved problems.
- 47:25There was a national problem.
- 47:28The king, who was the leader of the nation, right?
- 47:31The king is like, I had a dream, it troubled me.
- 47:35I don't know the meaning of this dream.
- 47:37All the astrologers, nobody could tell him the dream, nobody could interpret the dream.
- 47:41The king was so mad, he said, I'm gonna kill all of you.
- 47:44Daniel said, went to the king, said, King, don't worry, I'll tell you the interpretation.
- 47:49Just give me tonight, I'll tell you the interpretation tomorrow.
- 47:51He goes, he waits on God, he downloads the dream, he downloads the interpretation, he comes back, and then as a result of that, he gets promoted.
- 47:59Him and his four friends or three friends.
- 48:02How many friends were they?
- 48:03Okay, the four Hebrew boys.
- 48:06Okay.
- 48:07Do you guys see that?
- 48:08There were four friends.
- 48:09Do you guys see that?
- 48:10So he solved a problem, he solved a high-level problem.
- 48:15Okay, um, not part of um um Pharaoh had a dream.
- 48:25The dream troubled him.
- 48:26He had two dreams.
- 48:28The dream troubled him.
- 48:29Nobody could interpret the dream.
- 48:32This then the the cup here, like, oh wait, wait, wait, there was this guy I met in prison, uh, some Hebrew guy, and he told us our dreams, and it came true.
- 48:41They sent for him.
- 48:42Joseph came, then he solved a problem, and then after he solved the problem, he was made the second in command.
- 48:53So I want us to adopt, let's adopt a new way of being.
- 48:59We have to become the people who think that way.
- 49:04I solve high-level problems, I create high-level value.
- 49:08High level value.
- 49:10That's what I do.
- 49:11That's what wealth answers to.
- 49:15That's what wealth answers to.
- 49:17If you look at the journey of Joseph, you'll see that Joseph got to Potiphar's house.
- 49:23There was one level of problem.
- 49:25He needed to administer the home, right?
- 49:27One level of value he could bring to bring administration to the home, right?
- 49:32And cause the things to prosper.
- 49:35Genesis 39, he did that.
- 49:37Then they put him in the prison and they saw, wow, this is a guy who can organize all this stuff and things prosper under his hand and all of that stuff.
- 49:44And so he got promoted again.
- 49:45And then he's interpreting dreams, and then he got promoted again.
- 49:49What was the what was the what was the promotion tied to?
- 49:52Solving high-level problems, creating high-level value.
- 49:56And we're gonna bring this all the way home.
- 49:58We had this, so this was a guy in church, right?
- 50:01And um, you know, he had been taught along these lines.
- 50:04You know, Pastor Steve teaches us all these things, just so you guys know, I I just take his stuff and reteach it, right?
- 50:11So he teaches us all this stuff.
- 50:14And so he goes to work.
- 50:18It he's in an IT firm.
- 50:20Okay, now with this IT firm earning six figures, like this is a he's a big boss.
- 50:24He's a big, he's a big, he's a big boss.
- 50:26And so they have this issue at work, and they for weeks nobody could figure out what it was, and it was costing them money every single day, right?
- 50:36And he goes home, he prays in the spirit, prays in the spirit, prays in the spirit.
- 50:43What is he asking for?
- 50:44The wisdom, the knowledge, the understanding to solve this problem, this high-level problem.
- 50:50And so he's praying in the spirit and praying in the spirit and praying in the spirit and praying in the spirit, and boom, God gives him the answer.
- 50:56So he goes to work, implements the answer, the thing that was an issue disappears.
- 51:02What do you think happens after that?
- 51:04Promotion in rank and promotion in bank account.
- 51:08That's what happened.
- 51:10Why?
- 51:11He understands like wealth, the the wealth creation has to do with value creation, it has to do with solving problems.
- 51:21It has to do with solving problems.
- 51:23So when I see somebody uh who is working a job and they're like, they don't pay me enough, and so they're showing up in a sloppy way, they're on Facebook when they're supposed to be working, they're doing the minimum amount of work they can do not to be fired.
- 51:37I understand this person understands nothing about kingdom wealth, and they've just signed up to be broke for the rest of their lives.
- 51:43That's what they did.
- 51:45Why?
- 51:46Because it doesn't matter where you start from.
- 51:49Joseph was a slave.
- 51:51Joseph was, it doesn't matter where you start from.
- 51:54You start from where you start from, and then you keep going higher and higher and higher and higher and higher using the principle of solving higher and higher level problems.
- 52:07Okay, so let me give you an example.
- 52:09Once upon a time, I worked a job.
- 52:12Okay, so this was 2008, 2009.
- 52:15I worked a job as a pediatrician.
- 52:19And in, but in that job, I also knew I could, I knew they were having problems with the team.
- 52:25And I was like, I could train the team and lead the team.
- 52:28I could build influence with the team and lead the team to create greater results.
- 52:32I understood, oh, there's some empty pockets in the schedule.
- 52:34I can go out and market and build this referral base so we'll have more patients, so the practice will do better.
- 52:39Am I being paid for this?
- 52:40No, I'm not being paid for this, but I understand that wealth answers to solving higher-level problems.
- 52:47So I'm solving one problem of seeing the patients, solving one problem of a lack of leadership, and solving another problem of marketing.
- 52:54Now, what that did was nine months into my contract, my boss is like, dude, dude.
- 53:00I like working with you.
- 53:02Here's a five-year contract, right?
- 53:05What made other people are being fired or they're finding somebody else, but I'm being offered a five-year contract.
- 53:11Why?
- 53:12Because I was solving higher-level problems.
- 53:14But this is the deal.
- 53:15That wasn't the path that was supposed to be for me.
- 53:18So what happened was I had now built what we call portable wealth.
- 53:23This is wealth that's not restricted to my job because I had grown as a leader in my capacity as a leader.
- 53:29I had grown in my capacity to market.
- 53:32So then the next level was then to start my own private practice.
- 53:36But guess what?
- 53:36I wasn't starting only knowing how to see patients.
- 53:39I started knowing how to see patients and understanding a level of leadership and understanding a level of marketing.
- 53:45Now, when I came into my private practice, my private practice needed more, right?
- 53:49I needed to understand the finances of it.
- 53:51I needed to understand the marketing at the higher level, understand the leadership at a higher level, how to hire, how to fire, all of those things.
- 53:57I could have stayed there and said, Oh, I'm just gonna pray, or I could pray because we pray, right?
- 54:03But I could grow in my capacity to solve higher level problems.
- 54:06And so I did that.
- 54:07And so the practice started thriving.
- 54:09We took the practice to seven figures, we took the practice to where it could work with the team without me working as much and all of those things.
- 54:15And then it was like, okay, but they're higher level problems.
- 54:18There's so many physicians running practices and running businesses, and they're not quite sure how to do it.
- 54:23I can teach them how to do that.
- 54:25So now I'm solving higher-level problems.
- 54:27That solving the higher level problem led to another business which is on Trem D, which is a multi-seven-figure business.
- 54:34And now there are more problems I'm working on solving.
- 54:37If you got it, say I got it.
- 54:39If you decide I'm just gonna wait for things to come to me, you have signed up to not be wealthy.
- 54:45People who are wealthy are people who solve problems, people who create value.
- 54:50Right?
- 54:50Once upon a time, I was not a podcaster.
- 54:52I was like, ooh, let's increase the value we can provide because you know I can I can teach people one-on-one, but if I do a podcast, I can talk to thousands at the same time.
- 55:01Once upon a time, I didn't have books.
- 55:03In fact, the last book that I wrote, the fight, uh not the fight to become um uh your best year yet, that came up because people are constantly, I don't know how to set goals.
- 55:12How do I know if they're the right goals as a Christian?
- 55:14How do I know I mean it's in line with God's will?
- 55:16All of those things.
- 55:17And so I said, okay, like I have three days.
- 55:19I'm gonna do a three-day workshop and solve this problem, and then I'm gonna codify it in a book so thousands can have the book and they can read it over and over again.
- 55:28It's all value, and every one of these things leads to revenue, leads to money, leads to profits.
- 55:35Do you guys understand what I'm saying?
- 55:37Like, so every day, our default setting is how can I provide more value?
- 55:44How can I solve this problem?
- 55:46So you work a job, your boss's problems now become your problem in the sense that you're like, huh, how could I solve that?
- 55:51Because if you can solve that, you get promoted.
- 55:54I'm looking for people to promote, I'm looking for people who will create like you can do that, girl.
- 55:59Knock yourself out, let's go, right?
- 56:02So it's about value creation.
- 56:04Wherever you find yourself, it's a job, it's a company that you own, it is it it is you partnering with another business to help them do stuff, is you find understanding investment, like what companies are creating these exceptional value.
- 56:21That's how you know who to invest with, because that's how you know who's gonna win.
- 56:26Value creation.
- 56:28Value creation.
- 56:29You might say, I'm not really creative, I don't know how to do that.
- 56:32Listen to me, listen to me, listen to me when I say this.
- 56:34The very first thing the Bible says about God is that God is a creator, God is creative.
- 56:40Like, look at the world around you.
- 56:43The person who made that, his spirit lives on the inside of you.
- 56:46So guess what?
- 56:47You're creative.
- 56:48Type that in the chat.
- 56:48I am very creative.
- 56:49You're creative, you have a reservoir, an endless reservoir of creativity to tap into, right?
- 56:55And when you think about problem solving, God has a gazillion ways to solve any problem, right?
- 57:01And the person who has all those ways is living on the inside of you.
- 57:05So guess what?
- 57:06You are a problem solver, you are a phenomenal, genius level problem solver.
- 57:10Why?
- 57:11Because you have a reservoir of wisdom of problem solving on the inside of you.
- 57:17It's there.
- 57:19Is there, right?
- 57:21Okay, so man, we have three more things.
- 57:28What are we gonna do?
- 57:30What are we gonna do?
- 57:31Okay, I'm gonna give you man, what am I gonna do?
- 57:36Okay, what do we do?
- 57:37Tell me in the chat.
- 57:38Do we go for 20?
- 57:39Do we go for 15 more minutes?
- 57:40Do we go for 15 more minutes and get the three out, or do we do a part two?
- 57:4415 minutes or part two.
- 57:46Let's vote.
- 57:47Let the voting begin.
- 57:49Let the voting begin.
- 57:51Because I still have I've given you four things.
- 57:54I have three things, and I have many, many more things to teach you after this.
- 57:58Oh my goodness, what are we gonna do?
- 58:01What are we gonna do?
- 58:04What are we gonna do?
- 58:06I'm waiting for you guys in the chat.
- 58:07Let's keep going.
- 58:08Nick, I knew you'd say that.
- 58:10Like, what?
- 58:10Let's go.
- 58:14Okay, keep going.
- 58:17Keep going.
- 58:17I have keep going twice.
- 58:19Let's see.
- 58:20I got 15 minutes.
- 58:22Okay, all right.
- 58:23All right, let's do this.
- 58:24Okay, so that's number that's number four.
- 58:26Number five.
- 58:27Number five.
- 58:29Okay, so this is so important because the kingdom of darkness does the exact opposite, and sometimes the children of God may be deceived into thinking that they should.
- 58:40What what is the prior?
- 58:41What's the priority?
- 58:43What's the priority?
- 58:44Those of you who want part two, I promise you, I have a whole other part two for you.
- 58:47So this is good.
- 58:48This is good.
- 58:49Okay.
- 58:51Um, a good reputation.
- 58:56This is your priority.
- 58:58A good reputation is better than money.
- 59:02A good reputation is better than money.
- 59:06It leads to money, but it's better than money.
- 59:10Why is it important to know this?
- 59:12Because on your journey to wealth, you will be invited many times to say yes to something that will make you money, but will damage your reputation, will damage your name that is out of integrity.
- 59:24You always, always, always, always, always say no to it.
- 59:30Proverbs chapter 22, verse 1.
- 59:33A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, not just riches, not just riches, rather than great riches, a good name, a good reputation.
- 59:52What does that what does that mean?
- 59:54That means your integrity, your faithfulness, your consistency, all of those things, you don't compromise them for money.
- 1:00:06Your values, you don't compromise them for money.
- 1:00:10The fruit of the spirit, you don't compromise, manifesting that for money.
- 1:00:14Your walk with God, your values as a Christian, you don't compromise them for money.
- 1:00:20Because what you compromise to get, you will lose.
- 1:00:27You will lose.
- 1:00:29So your good name, your integrity, your reputation, you value it above money.
- 1:00:36Now, am I saying take this and lose money and don't have money?
- 1:00:40No, it didn't say uh a good reputation, get a good reputation and don't get money.
- 1:00:46No, it says it's better.
- 1:00:47So number one, good reputation, number two, great, great riches.
- 1:00:53Number one, great reputation, good reputation, a good name, integrity, all of that.
- 1:00:59Number two, riches.
- 1:01:01Okay, so for instance, there are people who in their walk with God, they would get married to an unsaved person because the person has money.
- 1:01:17Is that in integrity?
- 1:01:18No, is that in obedience?
- 1:01:20No, it's not.
- 1:01:21Well, just tell these few lies so we can get some money.
- 1:01:25No, because when you start compromising all of those things, you're like, Lord, hang on, you know, back up, okay?
- 1:01:32I got this.
- 1:01:32Let me go organize what I need to do with the with the wealth.
- 1:01:35You don't really understand these things, let me take care of this.
- 1:01:38Then you have to create it on your own.
- 1:01:40The only two kingdoms that give wealth is the kingdom of light and the kingdom of darkness.
- 1:01:45It's only two.
- 1:01:47It's only two.
- 1:01:48So your good reputation, keep that.
- 1:01:50Okay, okay.
- 1:01:51So I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna sit there too long.
- 1:01:53I think you get it.
- 1:01:54That was what Joseph did with Potiphar's wife.
- 1:01:58What if he compromised with Potiphar's wife?
- 1:02:01Would he have made it to second in command in the nation?
- 1:02:04No, it would never have happened, right?
- 1:02:07Okay, so that's number five.
- 1:02:09Number six, number six is high quality relationships.
- 1:02:18High quality relationships.
- 1:02:20Let me let me let me show you something.
- 1:02:23When you look at all the things, for instance, the reason why Solomon was told that he was going to be the wealthiest is because he went after wisdom and he went after the advancement of his of God's kingdom.
- 1:02:45But Solomon didn't just know that.
- 1:02:48Solomon was taught that by his father, David.
- 1:02:55He had mentorship by somebody who has gone ahead in this whole wealth journey, the kingdom wealth journey.
- 1:03:06He had David, his father, so you see many places where he said, I was my father's son, and my father taught me.
- 1:03:14Um, team, you can you can pick one of those and put it in there.
- 1:03:17But he said, My father taught me, it was my father's child child and dearly beloved of my mother, and my father taught me.
- 1:03:23It's his father David who taught him to prioritize wisdom, the same way I'm teaching you.
- 1:03:28It's his father David that taught him to prioritize the advancement of God's kingdom.
- 1:03:33His father taught him, right?
- 1:03:36So on your journey to wealth, there are people that you need.
- 1:03:40So Proverbs 13:20 says, walk with the wise and become wise.
- 1:03:45Walk with the wealthy, those walking in kingdom wealth and become wealthy.
- 1:03:49So, do you need those kind of relationships?
- 1:03:53Yes.
- 1:03:55You need relationships with people who have been there.
- 1:04:00Okay, writing about it, the Bible says, you know, so there was a time, you know, Saul was after King David, and David was running all over the place in the wilderness and all of those things.
- 1:04:10And the Bible said that there was a band of men who came to him, 400 men.
- 1:04:16These were men who were in trouble, who were in debt, who were in distress.
- 1:04:21These are people who nothing was working for.
- 1:04:24But they came under a leader, they came under mentorship of who?
- 1:04:28David.
- 1:04:29They came under David's mentorship.
- 1:04:31And then a few chapters later, the Bible then talks about the mighty men of David.
- 1:04:36Who were the mighty men of David?
- 1:04:38The 400 who before that were in trouble, were in distress, were in debt.
- 1:04:43Mentorship, high-quality relationships will change your life.
- 1:04:51Walk with the wise and become wise.
- 1:04:54And when you show up in those relationships, what is required is humility.
- 1:04:59There is something that I've seen that is very sad.
- 1:05:03Where you'll see somebody who it's happened to me many times.
- 1:05:07So somebody will come to me, it's like, oh, I want to talk to you about my finances or whatever, whatever it is.
- 1:05:13And they have 30 minutes with me and they spend 29 minutes talking about themselves.
- 1:05:19And I'm like, the thing, the problem with that is you already know you and you know everything you know.
- 1:05:24Like, why would you come to me and talk about yourself for 29 minutes?
- 1:05:28So we have one minute for me to tell you whatever I can tell you, and the meeting is over.
- 1:05:31And they're like, I hope I can meet with you again.
- 1:05:33I'm like, not in this lifetime.
- 1:05:36Because I already know everything I need to know about you.
- 1:05:38You told me.
- 1:05:39Right?
- 1:05:40Do you see that?
- 1:05:40And so when you show up in those kinds of relationships, ask questions.
- 1:05:46When you show up in those kinds of relationships, observe.
- 1:05:50When you show up in those relationships, watch what they do and then learn.
- 1:05:57And learn and apply and learn.
- 1:06:00And apply that one sentence, one sentence from somebody who has been there, done that, and has 72 t-shirts, will save you from 20 years of learning on your own.
- 1:06:13High quality relationships.
- 1:06:15So look for them.
- 1:06:16Seek them out.
- 1:06:17In the beginning, you may not have access to them.
- 1:06:20Read their books, listen to their podcasts, serve your way into their lives.
- 1:06:25I've done this many times.
- 1:06:26Okay, so there's somebody who's a mentor of mine now.
- 1:06:30Um, but the degrees of separation were so many degrees of separation, right?
- 1:06:35And so where did I start from?
- 1:06:36Well, this person had a YouTube channel, so I would listen to the I listen, I'll watch their videos and apply what they were teaching, right?
- 1:06:43Um, this person had books, I would buy the books and apply what they were saying.
- 1:06:48Um, the person had an Instagram channel, so I'll go on Instagram and say, oh my goodness, you wrote this in this book.
- 1:06:53I did this, and oh my goodness, this is what happened.
- 1:06:56When I wrote my first book, I sent them a copy, not for them to read it, but to say, you're the reason I wrote this book.
- 1:07:01You taught me about this, I applied it this way, and now I'm a published author, right?
- 1:07:05And then they would have events.
- 1:07:08I would attend the events, I would buy tickets and like here, here are some tickets you can give out to people to attend the event.
- 1:07:14I would be part of the people who would sponsor the event.
- 1:07:17And that was the way ultimately I got to the place where this person was a mentor, right?
- 1:07:22So you serve your way there, you invest your way there, right?
- 1:07:25Um, because sometimes you say, Oh, this person doesn't want to talk to me.
- 1:07:28Well, I mean, like 2,000 other people are trying to talk to them too.
- 1:07:31But you have there's a way you can differentiate yourself.
- 1:07:34So if you got that, say, got it.
- 1:07:36This is important.
- 1:07:37Where you're like, how do I get myself in there?
- 1:07:39Because these people, people say there's no shortcuts to success.
- 1:07:43Of course, there's shortcuts to success.
- 1:07:45They're the shortcuts.
- 1:07:46The people who've been there done that, they're the shortcuts.
- 1:07:48And we're not looking for just people who are wealthy, we're people looking for people who are kingdom wealthy, who are biblically wealthy.
- 1:07:54Okay?
- 1:07:55Okay.
- 1:07:55Now let me give you one more.
- 1:07:57Let me give you the last one.
- 1:07:58Let me give you the last one.
- 1:08:01Um, the last one is financial management at every level.
- 1:08:05I'm gonna read scriptures on this one.
- 1:08:07Proverbs 21.
- 1:08:08Let's start from there.
- 1:08:09Proverbs 21, 20.
- 1:08:11Financial management at every level.
- 1:08:14God will give you the amount of money you can manage.
- 1:08:18That's what he does.
- 1:08:19If you can't manage it, he won't give it to you.
- 1:08:22So, what do I need to do?
- 1:08:23Grow in my capacity to manage.
- 1:08:26Okay, and when I say manage, I don't just mean save, I mean multiply, I mean all of it.
- 1:08:30Okay.
- 1:08:31It says, oh, this one I want to read from a different translation.
- 1:08:35Hold on, I'm gonna pull this up on my phone.
- 1:08:37Okay, so this is Proverbs chapter 21, verse 20, and I'm gonna read it from the New Living Translation.
- 1:08:46Okay, so pay attention to this.
- 1:08:49It says, the wise have wealth and luxury, but fools spend whatever they get.
- 1:09:02So, what is the easiest way to go from being foolish to being wise?
- 1:09:06Stop spending everything you get.
- 1:09:08If you spend everything you get, the word of God, not me.
- 1:09:11The word of God says you're acting like a fool.
- 1:09:14Actually, it says you're a fool, but you know, but we can step out of that.
- 1:09:17And you might say, Dr.
- 1:09:18Una, but what I have is not enough.
- 1:09:20It's already not enough.
- 1:09:21So there's no problem here, right?
- 1:09:24But if you are the person who everything you get, you spend, then you're saying, God, I'm not qualified for you to send me more.
- 1:09:32Like, I ain't ready.
- 1:09:34I'm not ready, right?
- 1:09:37So financial management.
- 1:09:39Let me read one more scripture.
- 1:09:41Proverbs 24 27.
- 1:09:47This is part of management, but it's a different, it's uh, okay, I'm gonna, I'm gonna read it so you'll see it's a different concept.
- 1:09:54Um it also shows you if you're ready for what God has for you.
- 1:09:59It says, I'll read it from a number of translations.
- 1:10:02New living translation, do your planning and prepare your fields before building your house.
- 1:10:10Do your planning and prepare your fields before building your house.
- 1:10:12Let me read in a different um translation, amplified.
- 1:10:16Prepare your work outside and get it ready for yourself in the field.
- 1:10:20Afterward, build your house and establish a home.
- 1:10:23This is part of financial management.
- 1:10:24What does this mean?
- 1:10:26Take care of the source of wealth before you start spending a lot of the wealth.
- 1:10:34Let me look for a better way to say this.
- 1:10:36Let me use an example.
- 1:10:38Once upon a time, um, we we were renting, we were renting a home.
- 1:10:43Okay, so this was after I was done.
- 1:10:45We had started the practice and all of those stuff, all of these things.
- 1:10:48We were renting a home.
- 1:10:50Um, and it's like, you're a doctor, buy a home, buy a doctor house, buy a dude, you're like, you do all these things and all that.
- 1:10:55But we knew our priority needed to be getting the practice off the ground, getting that stable financially, probably putting some stuff in investments and all of that stuff.
- 1:11:06Then we can turn around and start buying homes, buying cars, doing all the extra stuff, the luxury vacations and all of these things.
- 1:11:12There's a sequence to things.
- 1:11:15Build the cash cow, then enjoy the milk.
- 1:11:19Right?
- 1:11:20Build the cash cow, then enjoy the milk.
- 1:11:22Build the cash cow first and then do this.
- 1:11:24So when you see, like for instance, you're like, you're living paycheck to paycheck, but you spent you put$10,000 on a on a credit card to go on vacation.
- 1:11:35For what?
- 1:11:37For what?
- 1:11:38Like, what is that for?
- 1:11:40That's saying, I'm not ready.
- 1:11:43I'm not ready.
- 1:11:44You're like, and I'm not telling you to I'm not telling you what to do.
- 1:11:48I want you to understand the concept.
- 1:11:50You have no money, you have no investments, you have no nothing.
- 1:11:53And then you spend 50,000, 100,000 on a wedding to accomplish what?
- 1:11:58Like, so what will happen?
- 1:12:00Meanwhile, the number one trigger for divorce is financial pressure, and you've already set yourself up for it.
- 1:12:07Right?
- 1:12:08So there are things that are quote unquote luxuries that you want to build a cash cow that funds the luxury, then live in luxury.
- 1:12:16If you got it, say I got it.
- 1:12:18It's part of financial management, it's part of financial management.
- 1:12:22So you we prioritize growing in financial management.
- 1:12:26I said at every level.
- 1:12:28So whether you are earning hundred bucks a month, a million bucks a month, or 10 million bucks a month, it doesn't matter.
- 1:12:34It's a principle.
- 1:12:35And if you will not manage a thousand dollars, you cannot manage a hundred thousand dollars.
- 1:12:40Like you're not gonna suddenly become able to manage.
- 1:12:43No, the Bible says he that is faithful in little is faithful in much, not will be faithful in much.
- 1:12:48He that is faithful in little is faithful in much.
- 1:12:53Okay, okay.
- 1:12:56So I have thrown a lot at you.
- 1:12:58This is a whole masterclass of masterclasses, but if you prioritize these seven things, you put yourself in a place where you keep growing and growing in your capacity for wealth, and it will be sustainable.
- 1:13:11It's not wealth that comes and wealth that disappears, it's wealth that stays because what is holding it up is God and his principles.
- 1:13:18God and his principles.
- 1:13:20So, because of that, I know that learning to do one thing, doing do something is one thing, implementing is another.
- 1:13:27So, what I did for you is this I created, I created a discussion guide.
- 1:13:33Okay, the team is gonna post in the comments.
- 1:13:35I created a discussion guide where you can take these seven things and you discuss with three or four or five, maybe not more than that, five friends, like how we are going to install this in our lives, how we are going to like start implementing these things.
- 1:13:53Okay, so the team is gonna post it.
- 1:13:55I want you to grab it, I want you to find three, five, seven friends.
- 1:13:59You guys get together, you watch this training, then you answer the questions and discuss it amongst yourself.
- 1:14:05So this will not be seven things you know, but this will be seven things that you're going to do.
- 1:14:11And if you do them, my goodness, your life will change.
- 1:14:15You will start going from one level to the other, to the other, just like Joseph did, just like Daniel did, just like David did, just like Solomon did.
- 1:14:23You will rewrite the narrative for finances for your family forever.
- 1:14:27You'll become a sign and wonder in finances.
- 1:14:30You'll set yourself up for promotion after promotion, whether it's your job or whether it's your business being promoted in the marketplace.
- 1:14:36Like everything is about to change for every one of you.
- 1:14:40And I'm so excited, so, so, so excited.
- 1:14:42I see all of you saying thank you.
- 1:14:44That is the best thank you you can tell me.
- 1:14:46Thank you, thank you, thank you.
- 1:14:47Cannot wait to celebrate the wins this will create in your life.
- 1:14:50If this has helped you in any way, I would love for you to join the movement and share this episode with your friends, family, and the Christians in your world.
- 1:14:58By doing this simple thing, you could be changing the trajectory of someone's life, their family, and their community.
- 1:15:05That makes you a world changer and they will love you forever.
