- 0:28Speaker 4: the month of April. I am your host, the Complete
- 0:32Speaker 4: Matt Cardona and I.
- 0:33Speaker 5: We host the most professional wrestler Brian Myers.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Almost here a producer smart Mark Sterling, and we are
- 0:39Speaker 2: joined by Donovan danausend.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Hello, very regular, very normal, Donovan Dan Housen.
- 0:47Speaker 5: Oh my gosh. Take a little bit for everyone to
- 0:51Speaker 5: adjust to. I think this.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Yeah, we did what you did Brody on here before, right.
- 1:00Speaker 2: We did Brody, but no video. I just interviewed.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, okay.
- 1:05Speaker 4: I'm a little confused because I was with Dan House
- 1:07Speaker 4: in Australia. I saw him clean up with merch but
- 1:10Speaker 4: he can't afford good WiFi.
- 1:13Speaker 5: I love how he just got good WiFi like a
- 1:16Speaker 5: month ago.
- 1:17Speaker 3: That's true.
- 1:17Speaker 5: Yeah, I asked we have this podcast for six years.
- 1:20Speaker 5: He's had dog shit wi Fi.
- 1:22Speaker 3: I asked for the best Wi Fi. They said they
- 1:24Speaker 3: gave me the best Wi Fi and it's it's not
- 1:26Speaker 3: been good in the last three weeks. I've had it
- 1:28Speaker 3: for two years. It's been fine.
- 1:30Speaker 2: He also lives in the middle of nowhere. So this is.
- 1:33Speaker 3: This is true. It's uh yeah by me, it was
- 1:35Speaker 3: a spectrum is what I have to use, which I
- 1:38Speaker 3: wasn't excited about because I wanted like AT and T
- 1:40Speaker 3: or some T mobile or something.
- 1:42Speaker 5: Right, I have FiOS, man, it's the best I was
- 1:44Speaker 5: gonna say.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Verizon bios is unbelievable.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't think I have any of that by.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Me, right, Yeah that makes sense New England maybe.
- 1:51Speaker 5: Well, nobody wants to hear about Wi Fi.
- 1:52Speaker 4: They want to hear about figures collecting.
- 1:56Speaker 5: And that's why no makeup, no chapter. Just the dude,
- 2:02Speaker 5: the real dude that you know, the three of us know,
- 2:04Speaker 5: but you know not everyone else out there knows. Yeah,
- 2:07Speaker 5: and uh, talk about your collection and your habits. And
- 2:10Speaker 5: it looks like you're in your playroom right now, which
- 2:12Speaker 5: I'm digging.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Yeah, so this is like I'm in my basement right now,
- 2:15Speaker 3: which is slowly getting turned into like the movie theater
- 2:17Speaker 3: slash display room.
- 2:19Speaker 5: Uh.
- 2:20Speaker 3: That's why it's like half set up. I fake set
- 2:22Speaker 3: it up for this. There's like a shelf of nothing,
- 2:26Speaker 3: but I have like everything kind of place. I got
- 2:28Speaker 3: my wrestling stuff set to the side and it's just
- 2:30Speaker 3: all laid down, but I just know where stuff will
- 2:32Speaker 3: kind of go at.
- 2:32Speaker 5: Least magical led lights going on.
- 2:35Speaker 3: As you're speaking, someone of the group pointed these out.
- 2:38Speaker 3: So if I like move, they like light up and
- 2:40Speaker 3: they look nice. But because when people were getting rid
- 2:44Speaker 3: of detolls since they're gone or whatever's going on with them,
- 2:47Speaker 3: they said, these ones are nice and they're pretty good.
- 2:49Speaker 3: I just paid someone to just build them, because I
- 2:51Speaker 3: can't do that, I think.
- 2:52Speaker 5: Matt, Yeah, is that what you did?
- 2:56Speaker 3: No, I just it came with like I went, is
- 2:58Speaker 3: it wayfair? And then they just at it like with
- 3:00Speaker 3: like you can pay extra to have someone build it.
- 3:03Speaker 3: So some people.
- 3:05Speaker 5: Is very intimidating the first time.
- 3:07Speaker 3: I don't I don't want to do anything.
- 3:10Speaker 5: Something that's not a thing that's terrifying. Yeah.
- 3:14Speaker 3: So I've got what I've got the DC collectibles guys,
- 3:17Speaker 3: I've got wrestling, I've got a Hot Toys miscellaneous shelf.
- 3:20Speaker 3: I've got some Simpson stuff. I've got horror stuff like
- 3:23Speaker 3: all the Neca stuff. And then I've got a Marvel
- 3:27Speaker 3: Legends and a Batman's shelf. I've got Bowen Marvel design
- 3:31Speaker 3: and I'm looking like you guys can see it. Uh,
- 3:33Speaker 3: But I basically what I've done is like buy all
- 3:36Speaker 3: the stuff that I wanted as a kid when I
- 3:38Speaker 3: go to the comic book store with my dad, and
- 3:40Speaker 3: I am a kid, so I don't have money besides
- 3:42Speaker 3: like five bucks or whatever. So uh now as an adult,
- 3:45Speaker 3: I just buy all the things that I wanted as
- 3:47Speaker 3: a kid, and and and then stuff that I see
- 3:49Speaker 3: now that's way better.
- 3:50Speaker 5: Right modern and vintage then.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I like the vintage stuff to me is more fun.
- 3:55Speaker 3: Like the modern stuff is kind of just like you
- 3:57Speaker 3: bord a big bad toy store whatever. You just load
- 3:59Speaker 3: up your cart and you just put it under the
- 4:00Speaker 3: order because it's easy that way, or ringside or whatever
- 4:03Speaker 3: for wrestling. Uh. But yeah, like that's why I like
- 4:06Speaker 3: to go to the toy stores still, is because you
- 4:08Speaker 3: get to find all the old stuff. Like I've been
- 4:09Speaker 3: having fun collecting the Bowen statues, which are like the
- 4:15Speaker 3: little like Marvel bus I don't know if you've ever
- 4:17Speaker 3: seen them in the stores of like in gray boxes,
- 4:19Speaker 3: but that's what I had Cardona bring back. Yeah, they're
- 4:23Speaker 3: from like late nineteen nineties, early two thousands, Okay, but
- 4:28Speaker 3: I'd found like a super rare set in Australia at Lobos.
- 4:31Speaker 3: So Matt had to bring it back for me because
- 4:32Speaker 3: I'd go to the gym. But it's like he did
- 4:36Speaker 3: me a favor.
- 4:37Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I really, you know, I really didn't have
- 4:41Speaker 5: anything else to do.
- 4:42Speaker 4: I was just going back to the hotel anyway because.
- 4:46Speaker 3: I was gonna not I was like, I was like, ah,
- 4:48Speaker 3: I can't buy anything because I don't want to carry
- 4:50Speaker 3: around the statue in the gym. But it was like
- 4:55Speaker 3: one of those one of those sets where I've only
- 4:57Speaker 3: seen an eBay once and it's been sitting there for
- 5:00Speaker 3: like way more money than I paid for it in Australia,
- 5:04Speaker 3: so it's like rare uh, And I was like I
- 5:07Speaker 3: have to get it. So I had been lugging that
- 5:08Speaker 3: around with me for the last twelve days through Australia
- 5:11Speaker 3: to Detroit and then through astronomic on and everything.
- 5:14Speaker 5: Holy crap, geez.
- 5:15Speaker 3: Yeah. So it's been taking up a big chunk of
- 5:17Speaker 3: my suitcase, which is annoying.
- 5:19Speaker 5: Matt uh Mark and I were just talking about this
- 5:21Speaker 5: weekend and of vlog like it's funny, like vintage stuff
- 5:24Speaker 5: like you just gotta collect because like it makes you
- 5:27Speaker 5: feel good and you feel like it again. But then
- 5:29Speaker 5: modern stuff is so good you can miss out on it.
- 5:33Speaker 5: Like you're like, you're not gonna not collect that either,
- 5:35Speaker 5: because it's like, you know, the best toys ever made.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly. That's why I like. I like all the
- 5:40Speaker 3: old uh the old like Universal Monsters stuff, because it's
- 5:44Speaker 3: like it's just cool looking. But then Neka has those
- 5:46Speaker 3: realistic ones that are out there, and then it's the
- 5:50Speaker 3: thing of where I'm just buying the color ones, the
- 5:52Speaker 3: black and white ones, and I go, I don't need
- 5:54Speaker 3: all of this, probably.
- 5:55Speaker 5: But oh man, that could get time you get the
- 5:58Speaker 5: Ninja Turtle Monsters. Uh no.
- 6:01Speaker 3: So they sent me those, but I was like, I
- 6:03Speaker 3: don't need those because they're not even the old ones.
- 6:05Speaker 3: They're not remakes of like the old ones. They're like
- 6:07Speaker 3: new versions, so like they're cool. But if they were
- 6:10Speaker 3: remakes of the original like Dracula, Donatello and all that,
- 6:13Speaker 3: I would have kept them. But I was like, because
- 6:15Speaker 3: they're like made up ones, I was like, I don't
- 6:18Speaker 3: need those.
- 6:18Speaker 5: They're like fit I got.
- 6:21Speaker 4: I think I got the first Rafael when I think
- 6:23Speaker 4: he's like Frankenstein.
- 6:24Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, like this is really cool. But I can't
- 6:27Speaker 5: go down this rabbit.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I actually I have them sitting because I, like
- 6:30Speaker 3: you said, I find they're sitting right next to me. Actually, uh,
- 6:33Speaker 3: I have like boxes and boxes of just stuff. Un
- 6:36Speaker 3: I don't need this collection. So I'm going to try
- 6:40Speaker 3: to find one of our friends who owns a toy
- 6:42Speaker 3: store and just be like, please, just take all of
- 6:44Speaker 3: this stuff I have. My basement was full of boxes,
- 6:47Speaker 3: and around Christmas time I opened everything. I just put
- 6:51Speaker 3: them in tots. And now I'm finally getting to where
- 6:53Speaker 3: it's getting set up.
- 6:55Speaker 5: But what's the endgame like for this room?
- 6:57Speaker 3: Like, uh, so I have two more shelves I want
- 7:01Speaker 3: to put up my stuff, and like a friend's in
- 7:03Speaker 3: whatever shelf too, I have a blank wall across from me.
- 7:08Speaker 3: I've got everything else is pretty much filled up. I've
- 7:10Speaker 3: got the Mondo What are they won with the big guys? Well,
- 7:13Speaker 3: I don't know what it is that one fourth? Oh no,
- 7:16Speaker 3: they're not one fourth. I forget that's naka. I've got
- 7:18Speaker 3: the neca ones and all that too, But those take
- 7:20Speaker 3: up a bunch of space. I've got a bunch of
- 7:22Speaker 3: life size statues. I saw that Aliens one right, Yeah,
- 7:26Speaker 3: I have to figure that out because we've got the
- 7:28Speaker 3: boy coming now, and I decided I don't really use
- 7:30Speaker 3: my office. I'm just gonna use the downstairs as my
- 7:32Speaker 3: thing for stuff like this. So I'm just gonna move
- 7:36Speaker 3: him into my office because it has like Marvel cosmic
- 7:39Speaker 3: walls and stuff like that already. But it's got the
- 7:41Speaker 3: giant alien in it. I have to figure out how
- 7:45Speaker 3: to get that because again I paid a contractor to
- 7:47Speaker 3: put it together, because I don't know how sure that
- 7:50Speaker 3: he was in my house. So I have to figure
- 7:52Speaker 3: out how to deconstruct that and get that into the basement.
- 7:54Speaker 3: But I've got like the life size alien egg from Mecca.
- 7:57Speaker 3: I've got two life size alien like bust on a
- 8:01Speaker 3: movie theater, like, I've got my projectors, screen and everything.
- 8:05Speaker 3: So I've got so.
- 8:06Speaker 2: You want to turn this into a theater?
- 8:10Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's what Right now it's set up.
- 8:12Speaker 3: I've got the four theater recliners.
- 8:15Speaker 5: Oh yeah, that was my next question was we gotta
- 8:17Speaker 5: have something comfy then.
- 8:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I've got the four theater recliners. I've got the walls.
- 8:21Speaker 3: Like at the end of this, I can do a
- 8:22Speaker 3: quick walk through if that works for YouTube. I don't know, U.
- 8:26Speaker 3: It's a mess, but you'll be able to at least
- 8:28Speaker 3: kind of see like the idea of it, because it's
- 8:31Speaker 3: my gym is down here. I've got a drum set
- 8:33Speaker 3: down here. I've got wallpaper with like Noasparatu and Creature
- 8:37Speaker 3: and Frankens all the universal monsters around my walls and stuff.
- 8:40Speaker 3: And then I have to figure out a space for
- 8:43Speaker 3: all the artwork that I've collected over the years of
- 8:45Speaker 3: just like alex Ross Prince and things like that.
- 8:47Speaker 5: So and then you were so settled on this place.
- 8:51Speaker 5: I thought you were like living there temporary.
- 8:52Speaker 3: No, no, no, this is my house. I was like, So,
- 8:54Speaker 3: I'm from Michigan. I lived in Montreal for two years
- 8:57Speaker 3: when COVID started, so I could be stuck with my
- 9:00Speaker 3: wife and my stepdaughter. And then that obviously ended, and
- 9:03Speaker 3: then we wound up buying a house sort of nearby,
- 9:06Speaker 3: and this has just been our house. And we had
- 9:08Speaker 3: it like completely redone because it was like very nineties.
- 9:10Speaker 3: It was fine, but it was like a nice base
- 9:13Speaker 3: with like a finished basement and everything, and we have
- 9:15Speaker 3: a pool in the backyard now and all that. So, yeah,
- 9:19Speaker 3: that's trying to make it because we're on the road
- 9:20Speaker 3: so much. When I'm home, I want it to be
- 9:22Speaker 3: like I don't like leaving home. When I'm home, I
- 9:25Speaker 3: want to have fun being here and just want to
- 9:28Speaker 3: be here with my dogs and my wife and my kid.
- 9:30Speaker 5: And that's in Vermont.
- 9:32Speaker 3: It's right over there. I've lied to people about where
- 9:35Speaker 3: I live, so I don't I don't live in Vermont,
- 9:41Speaker 3: So that's okay either way.
- 9:44Speaker 2: So what what started you? You know you said you
- 9:47Speaker 2: got toys when you were little. What started you like collecting,
- 9:51Speaker 2: like officially.
- 9:52Speaker 3: Collected Because my dad the.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Entire time known you, you've been doing it.
- 9:57Speaker 3: So yeah, my dad's a comic book hard guy. So
- 10:00Speaker 3: like I used to go to the comic book store
- 10:02Speaker 3: when I was like five, like uh and just you know,
- 10:06Speaker 3: pay He did let me pick out books and stuff
- 10:07Speaker 3: like that. Like I think I liked Morbius, which makes sense,
- 10:10Speaker 3: I guess, considering my characters. Yeah, just like I liked
- 10:14Speaker 3: all the hard looking guys like Vanam and Morbius and
- 10:16Speaker 3: obviously just Spider Man and Batman and stuff. But I
- 10:19Speaker 3: think I would pick up those toy biz Marvel toys
- 10:21Speaker 3: like the the Everything toys with like the Doctor Doom
- 10:26Speaker 3: and all that, and my dad had left over like
- 10:28Speaker 3: Star Wars, the original Tenner ones. I had all my
- 10:32Speaker 3: dads left over g I Joe's, so I'd mixed those
- 10:35Speaker 3: and everything. And then one year, I think what really
- 10:39Speaker 3: kicked it off, like with the wrestling to really relate
- 10:41Speaker 3: it to that is, uh, he got me the Giant
- 10:43Speaker 3: Rows war Ring and I think I had Brett Sean,
- 10:50Speaker 3: uh maybe who was in that first set or the
- 10:53Speaker 3: first gold Dust I had gold dust. I for sure
- 10:57Speaker 3: had gold dust because I remember taking his wig and
- 10:58Speaker 3: putting it on other figures for some reason that But
- 11:03Speaker 3: then I just remember that that one Christmas, I think
- 11:05Speaker 3: it was like nineteen ninety seven, but he had got
- 11:08Speaker 3: me like a Daredevil toy from Toy Biz And then
- 11:10Speaker 3: maybe I don't know if WCW had toys out, but
- 11:12Speaker 3: I know those came shortly after at.
- 11:14Speaker 5: Least round then probably the vibrating ones which were weird.
- 11:17Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like maybe I had a sting, but
- 11:19Speaker 3: I don't even know if I had one of those.
- 11:21Speaker 3: I just remember eventually the toy Biz ones came out
- 11:23Speaker 3: and had Raven for sure, and I had those weird
- 11:26Speaker 3: magnetic ones Ugan, But yeah, no, that that first Christmas
- 11:32Speaker 3: was probably it because it was the mix of everything,
- 11:34Speaker 3: but that wrestling ring was the first one. I think
- 11:36Speaker 3: I just started watching and he's like, oh, I found
- 11:39Speaker 3: these toys. I thought you would like him, and then
- 11:41Speaker 3: then it was just over like he would do. He
- 11:43Speaker 3: made me a custom cane before Caine had a toy. Yeah,
- 11:50Speaker 3: Caine was my favorite. So I think he took a
- 11:54Speaker 3: I'm blanking on what it's called the you guys have
- 11:56Speaker 3: the it's like the Army Ones. Yes, uh, I think
- 12:00Speaker 3: it was Stomp Undertaker maybe, but he made a cane
- 12:04Speaker 3: out of that. So like he did customs for me,
- 12:06Speaker 3: He made custom bases for me out of a like
- 12:09Speaker 3: wood and foam and stuff like that for like Justice League,
- 12:12Speaker 3: Like I had hold Justice League base. I think I
- 12:15Speaker 3: had old Marble base for something. So he was NonStop.
- 12:18Speaker 3: He would hang my Millennium falcons from the ceiling and
- 12:20Speaker 3: stuff like that. Uh So yeah, it's definitely like my
- 12:24Speaker 3: dad set me up on collecting because he still collects.
- 12:27Speaker 3: His basement is full of Horror Batman. All of my
- 12:32Speaker 3: stuff he collects, I give him all. Yeah, he collects
- 12:36Speaker 3: all of my stuff, and I also give him because
- 12:38Speaker 3: I don't like to throw it away, like fan art
- 12:41Speaker 3: stuff like fan customs where I'm like, I don't have
- 12:43Speaker 3: room for it, but he'll put him on the wall
- 12:45Speaker 3: and everything. Yeah, he collects all of that stuff.
- 12:50Speaker 5: You don't collect wrestling right now, right.
- 12:52Speaker 3: No, No, you guys ruined that good. I do now. Yeah,
- 12:58Speaker 3: but I've tried keeping it. I kind of way less
- 13:01Speaker 3: than what you guys do. But I don't do the
- 13:02Speaker 3: modern guys unless I know them, Like if they're my friends,
- 13:05Speaker 3: I buy them. But if it's uh other than I
- 13:08Speaker 3: kind of keep it to like eighties and nineties and
- 13:12Speaker 3: maybe a couple like I've got a John Cena from
- 13:14Speaker 3: early two thousands or whatever, like one of the Ultimates.
- 13:16Speaker 3: Maybe it's not early two thousands, but you know what
- 13:18Speaker 3: I mean. Uh So I've got those. I got like Vader,
- 13:22Speaker 3: I've got Paul Bart, I've got Bam Bam. I've been
- 13:24Speaker 3: doing the Coliseum collection stuff. And then I've got like
- 13:28Speaker 3: I said, I've got Seena, I've got Austin the Ultimates.
- 13:31Speaker 3: I just got Dusty, and I got the Mankind and
- 13:35Speaker 3: dude Love.
- 13:37Speaker 5: Oh yeah, let those breathe and pose them.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I pretty much open everything.
- 13:41Speaker 5: Awesome, there's Jack rousing.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Uh uh No, I don't have Jericho hasn't.
- 13:49Speaker 5: I don't.
- 13:50Speaker 3: I think I sold them all.
- 13:51Speaker 5: Man, I don't know what if a figure was made
- 13:54Speaker 5: of me in that way, like, no, you gotta keep it.
- 13:57Speaker 3: I probably have one in my storage, like it's my
- 14:00Speaker 3: ch area I keep in like where I keep all
- 14:02Speaker 3: my what not stuff and just like my march where
- 14:04Speaker 3: I pack it up on the weekend. I I for
- 14:07Speaker 3: sure have one sitting somewhere.
- 14:08Speaker 5: But yeah, I guess has to make its way to
- 14:11Speaker 5: your like shelf of yourself right now.
- 14:13Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, because I try to keep everything. Again,
- 14:17Speaker 3: like you guys, I don't have like every pro wrestling
- 14:19Speaker 3: t shirt, but I have like every aw officially released
- 14:22Speaker 3: shirt and things like that.
- 14:23Speaker 5: Yeah, I think that counts I have.
- 14:25Speaker 3: I have the major bendies, like I've got all the
- 14:27Speaker 3: micro brawlers, like we got the prototypes and all that.
- 14:31Speaker 3: So but if it's like I don't have legitimately everything
- 14:37Speaker 3: or like every single custom thing I've ever had made,
- 14:39Speaker 3: but I've keep some stuff like uh, Spumoni toys made
- 14:43Speaker 3: me and Brodys Brody krang House him and like I
- 14:46Speaker 3: have that, Like I'll keep stuff like that, like we
- 14:48Speaker 3: had an action figure officially made by him or not officially,
- 14:51Speaker 3: but you know what I mean for whatnot. So it's
- 14:53Speaker 3: weird cool shit like that. I'll keep.
- 14:56Speaker 2: That's great.
- 14:58Speaker 4: So what with your your wrestling stuff? Like what's the
- 15:02Speaker 4: uh you said you have to cut up? I'm the
- 15:04Speaker 4: same way. I don't collect, Like I don't have a
- 15:06Speaker 4: Dan Housen except for major Bendis. I don't have Brian
- 15:08Speaker 4: Mott except for back of me, Like I can't do it,
- 15:12Speaker 4: Like I can't. It's it's like I my cutoff is
- 15:15Speaker 4: when I first got into w W.
- 15:17Speaker 5: That's like so May two thousand and seven.
- 15:21Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, so yeah, well I I keep like I've
- 15:26Speaker 3: got your guys' Super seven's. I think my thing is
- 15:29Speaker 3: like friends means I hung out with you outside of
- 15:33Speaker 3: a wrestling show, like you know what I mean. Yeah, yeah,
- 15:38Speaker 3: we've got to eat or like we've held out in
- 15:40Speaker 3: a hotel room after.
- 15:41Speaker 4: Like Mark, guys that he like shook shook their hand with,
- 15:45Speaker 4: like backstage.
- 15:47Speaker 5: It was a little excitable when he first got on
- 15:49Speaker 5: the road.
- 15:50Speaker 3: Oh my god, Like I don't have that, Like I've
- 15:54Speaker 3: like you guys, I got Brodie, I've got like Ricky
- 15:56Speaker 3: starks and stuff like. Also like I got Ethan, like
- 16:00Speaker 3: I'm waiting for his new one to come out, and
- 16:02Speaker 3: I'll like maybe replace that. I don't know how many
- 16:04Speaker 3: of each of my friends I need.
- 16:08Speaker 2: I ran into that.
- 16:09Speaker 5: Issue with m at one point. Yeah, I was when
- 16:11Speaker 5: I had like twelve dovesigular elites, and I'm like, what
- 16:13Speaker 5: am I doing? Yeah?
- 16:18Speaker 3: Whatever, Yeah, so that that's that's what I try to do.
- 16:22Speaker 3: But then like Brody has a bunch of cool ones,
- 16:24Speaker 3: so like I do have like a bunch of Brodie's.
- 16:27Speaker 3: He's got like the bloody ones, He's got the ski
- 16:29Speaker 3: mask one. I think he still has the best chase
- 16:33Speaker 3: for the aw figures because he is one of the
- 16:35Speaker 3: only ones that's actually kind of a different figure.
- 16:38Speaker 5: Yeah. Man, they put the making the chase like very different.
- 16:42Speaker 5: It's so cool. And then when you it's like, yeah,
- 16:45Speaker 5: that's what I was.
- 16:45Speaker 3: I was excited when they showed me mine, but then
- 16:48Speaker 3: they put out the hook two pack and it was
- 16:49Speaker 3: the same figure because it was Nah, it's like very
- 16:55Speaker 3: slightly different. I think the tights are different, and I
- 16:58Speaker 3: think the cape is a soft goods versus hard goods,
- 17:01Speaker 3: so it is different, but it's the same basic look
- 17:03Speaker 3: like and but aside from that, it would have been
- 17:07Speaker 3: backstage look with the sweater thing versus like full gear,
- 17:10Speaker 3: and it would have been totally different.
- 17:11Speaker 5: Right, that's that's complete overhaul.
- 17:13Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, but that I mean the two packs
- 17:15Speaker 3: sold out, so I was like, that's cool.
- 17:17Speaker 5: I ever sold out?
- 17:19Speaker 3: I think? I think so?
- 17:23Speaker 5: Yeah. Uh, I clocked the Harding two pack on there
- 17:27Speaker 5: just in case I can get little deal ski for whatnot,
- 17:29Speaker 5: and they but it's still there.
- 17:31Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, yeah, that that that sold out. I think
- 17:34Speaker 3: my ring side is sold out probably a while, and
- 17:38Speaker 3: then the unrivaled thirteen is just gone everywhere.
- 17:40Speaker 5: So with all in the past two years, which which
- 17:45Speaker 5: has been your favorite? Uh?
- 17:48Speaker 3: Maybe the r O. H. Lessond was. Yeah, it's kind
- 17:56Speaker 3: of like an independent figure, Like it's got the teeth.
- 17:59Speaker 3: The fact that I was able to get a jar
- 18:00Speaker 3: of teeth made as a toy is insane, like, because
- 18:04Speaker 3: it's a stupid thing that I didn't think was going
- 18:05Speaker 3: to catch.
- 18:06Speaker 5: On in a minute. Zombie did it too, Yeah yeah.
- 18:09Speaker 3: But like so it's been made twice then, which is crazy, Like,
- 18:12Speaker 3: but to get it in a I guess that's not
- 18:14Speaker 3: necessarily a retail toy. But it's in a retail line,
- 18:16Speaker 3: I guess, yeah, but yeah that that that that to
- 18:21Speaker 3: me And then it's my first cape. It's my independent
- 18:23Speaker 3: look kind of like and just to be put in
- 18:25Speaker 3: the line with like r H Legends.
- 18:29Speaker 5: We discussed legends.
- 18:31Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, that's I write it every time I sign one,
- 18:33Speaker 3: almost every time I.
- 18:34Speaker 5: Sign yeah, yeah, top ski out of me when I
- 18:38Speaker 5: see those in the group.
- 18:38Speaker 3: Yeah, as it's ridiculous that I have one, but I'm
- 18:42Speaker 3: also like it sells.
- 18:43Speaker 2: So so speaking of your your merch, you are a
- 18:48Speaker 2: phenomenal uh merch creator. You have an eye for design.
- 18:52Speaker 2: I'm always impressed with your shirts over the last year.
- 18:57Speaker 2: It's not even justin a w What do you think
- 18:58Speaker 2: is like one of the most un things that you
- 19:01Speaker 2: have created for your for your merch table or or
- 19:04Speaker 2: or for your website.
- 19:05Speaker 3: Well, I was talking mad about this. I did like
- 19:07Speaker 3: the Ben Cooper style masks in the box and stuff.
- 19:10Speaker 3: It's like those old plastic ones, like the Halloween masks,
- 19:13Speaker 3: and I thought they were awesome and they just did okay,
- 19:16Speaker 3: But it's one of those items. Yeah, it was one
- 19:19Speaker 3: of those items where I was like, oh, this is
- 19:21Speaker 3: really cool. This is because like what Super seven makes
- 19:23Speaker 3: some fright rags make some like they're kind of back,
- 19:27Speaker 3: and then I'm just like, oh, this just did okay.
- 19:29Speaker 4: But that guy's a whole line, right, yeah.
- 19:34Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, yeah, and it's it's just it's a recreation
- 19:36Speaker 3: of that, but it's me And I was like, oh,
- 19:38Speaker 3: this is really cool. But I mean, aside from that,
- 19:40Speaker 3: it's probably the custom stuff, like I said, the Brody
- 19:42Speaker 3: Kranghouse and I did some soft Vinyl guys on my own.
- 19:46Speaker 3: Uh yeah. Like just walking into a target and seeing
- 19:50Speaker 3: my Action figure for the first time I think was
- 19:52Speaker 3: kind of one of those moments where it hit me.
- 19:55Speaker 3: Yeah where like because that's like a goal as a collector,
- 19:58Speaker 3: is like, oh, I get to walk into a store.
- 20:00Speaker 3: Toys r US was the ultimate gold because they don't
- 20:02Speaker 3: exist except in Canada anymore.
- 20:04Speaker 5: Like I still make that happen though.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Yeah, Like but Val thirteen is probably sitting in Toys
- 20:12Speaker 2: r US right now.
- 20:13Speaker 3: It is not what is the set with Johnny Hunky,
- 20:16Speaker 3: Oh my god, that is still there.
- 20:19Speaker 5: Checking Toys r US is when I'm in Canada, because.
- 20:21Speaker 3: It's just every single time, the only updates they get
- 20:25Speaker 3: are whatever the target exclusive is goes to Toys r US.
- 20:28Speaker 5: There right, so like yeah, there.
- 20:34Speaker 3: Those are there? Uh, the Ultimate Ray Phoenix is there still?
- 20:39Speaker 3: I think every time I.
- 20:40Speaker 5: Go, I like that one kind of disappeared.
- 20:43Speaker 3: Yeah, so I've never seen the Penta. I've only seen
- 20:46Speaker 3: that guy. And then they have the weapons set I
- 20:48Speaker 3: think is still sitting there.
- 20:49Speaker 5: Oh yeah they made those kind of things.
- 20:53Speaker 3: Yeah, and then like I said, they'll have the Target
- 20:55Speaker 3: Adam Cole and the Target Samoa Joe and those are
- 20:57Speaker 3: like always there.
- 20:59Speaker 5: Are you act collecting your trading cards? I mean you
- 21:02Speaker 5: probably haven't.
- 21:04Speaker 3: I don't know. So I don't have like the ice
- 21:05Speaker 3: cream truck. I don't have like the weird ones. I
- 21:08Speaker 3: don't have the pixelated one, the ones that are like
- 21:10Speaker 3: harder to get. But I have the I've got the
- 21:13Speaker 3: Joker card. I've got like the normal foil card. I
- 21:16Speaker 3: have like what if the online ones were. But I've
- 21:18Speaker 3: never seen like a full checklist of what my cards are.
- 21:21Speaker 5: I mean, but I mean in card collecting, there's a
- 21:23Speaker 5: thing called like the rainbow.
- 21:25Speaker 3: You know, Yeah, I don't. I don't need the whole rainbow.
- 21:27Speaker 5: I don't think it's good. There's probably of like if
- 21:30Speaker 5: you have one card in a set. There's probably sixteen
- 21:32Speaker 5: of that car you've been in the inserts. It's like
- 21:36Speaker 5: you're saying, like, you know, yeah, I'm.
- 21:38Speaker 3: Like I have, uh, probably maybe half or seventy five
- 21:41Speaker 3: percent of them, but I like I don't have like
- 21:44Speaker 3: the rainbow. I don't have the rare ones.
- 21:47Speaker 5: Are you like the kind of person that, like of
- 21:49Speaker 5: a fan brought you one to sign a show that
- 21:51Speaker 5: you didn't have? You say, well, can I have this
- 21:53Speaker 5: and I'll give you something else?
- 21:54Speaker 3: No, I've never done that.
- 21:56Speaker 5: I mean, yeah, I would I do that all the time.
- 22:01Speaker 3: I've never Usually fans are cool though, if they have
- 22:04Speaker 3: like extras of stuff, they'll be like, hey, I know
- 22:07Speaker 3: you collect your things. Do you have this? And I'm
- 22:08Speaker 3: like yes or no? And then if I don't, I'll
- 22:10Speaker 3: be like okay, yeah right.
- 22:13Speaker 2: One of the reasons I have a lot of the
- 22:14Speaker 2: variants of mine is because of major marks being.
- 22:17Speaker 3: Mark Long Yeah giving me was it Long Mark Sterling
- 22:22Speaker 3: or Mark Mark.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Long Sterling my rookie card?
- 22:27Speaker 4: Can you explain to me what this Dan Housend figure
- 22:31Speaker 4: is right here?
- 22:31Speaker 5: What is this that I have to buy?
- 22:33Speaker 3: Oh? Yeah, so okay, I heard you guys talking about
- 22:35Speaker 3: this on there No no, no, it's Midsummer the horror movie.
- 22:44Speaker 3: They like wear a flower crown during the ceremony. It's
- 22:46Speaker 3: from a horror thing. But like I've done it a
- 22:48Speaker 3: couple of times. I had the micro Brawler that everyone loved.
- 22:51Speaker 5: I remember that.
- 22:52Speaker 3: Yeah, So I was like, well, if we're doing a repaint,
- 22:54Speaker 3: I want it to be different and cool. But I
- 22:56Speaker 3: also wanted to make it a joke like the Malibu
- 22:59Speaker 3: Stace and the Simpsons where she just has a new
- 23:00Speaker 3: hat and they make a huge deal out of it.
- 23:03Speaker 3: Let's put that on the package that like, no, no, no,
- 23:05Speaker 3: he's got a new hat. Like, we'll we'll make it
- 23:07Speaker 3: a thing. We'll make it a sense of the show.
- 23:09Speaker 3: We'll also make the presentation of the figure different because
- 23:12Speaker 3: it's not me and gear. It's like me backstage style.
- 23:16Speaker 3: So we've got to what the soft goods black cape
- 23:19Speaker 3: or not black cape, black sweater thing, which is like
- 23:22Speaker 3: my classic look. And then we've got.
- 23:25Speaker 2: Yeah, there's the movie.
- 23:31Speaker 5: Before my Life.
- 23:34Speaker 3: It's kind of a if you know, you know, But
- 23:36Speaker 3: I wanted to do something different where they kind of
- 23:37Speaker 3: like we did the Moumu. But like like I said,
- 23:41Speaker 3: I wanted the presentation of the figure to be different
- 23:43Speaker 3: than just like oh, the gear is a different color
- 23:46Speaker 3: and he still has just the same cape and like whatever.
- 23:49Speaker 3: I was like, this is a fun way for my
- 23:50Speaker 3: like my old fans to do it too, or something
- 23:53Speaker 3: for my old fans, and this one's gonna be in
- 23:57Speaker 3: stock and ready to go. So like I stually, I
- 24:00Speaker 3: just talked to Zombie today on the phone about like
- 24:02Speaker 3: some stuff to get it out faster, but he's gone.
- 24:06Speaker 3: He was just I think he's shipping like what twenty
- 24:07Speaker 3: thousand toys a day or something like that a lot. Yeah,
- 24:11Speaker 3: but I think he's catching up finally, and he's like, hey,
- 24:14Speaker 3: I would like to start planning this, So we're going
- 24:15Speaker 3: to try to plan some type of big release.
- 24:17Speaker 5: For it, stuff we talk about on the show.
- 24:20Speaker 3: Yeah, which I think is cool because he's starting to
- 24:22Speaker 3: work more in silence and then just releasing stuff, which
- 24:25Speaker 3: is good, right, because I'd even told him like, like what,
- 24:29Speaker 3: my first figure took almost two years I think to
- 24:31Speaker 3: come out or something, and it was like a big
- 24:33Speaker 3: issue and I was like, well, let's make fun of
- 24:34Speaker 3: it if we do a commercial or something for it.
- 24:36Speaker 3: Let's let's make a joke out of it, so that way,
- 24:38Speaker 3: like I feel like that's that's better than just ignoring
- 24:42Speaker 3: that it happened. Like, yeah, if we make fun of
- 24:45Speaker 3: fun of that situation and we're like no, no, no, these
- 24:47Speaker 3: are ready to go, it's not going.
- 24:48Speaker 5: To take ten years. Finally had a pre order.
- 24:51Speaker 3: I mean, oh yeah, yeah, but yeah, that's so that
- 24:55Speaker 3: that's what that figure is is. I wanted to do
- 24:57Speaker 3: old style Dan Housen something for my original fans who
- 24:59Speaker 3: know what that stuff is. And then if you take
- 25:01Speaker 3: it out, it's just classic behind the scenes.
- 25:03Speaker 5: If you just take the hat off, it's just yeah, yeah, it.
- 25:06Speaker 3: Comes it comes off like you. But if you're like
- 25:09Speaker 3: mint on card guy, like you're probably not buying mine
- 25:11Speaker 3: unless you're a fan of me anyway, which then you
- 25:13Speaker 3: know what it was?
- 25:14Speaker 5: So right? Right? So who has more micro bowlers?
- 25:18Speaker 3: You were me, Oh wow, I think after this weekend
- 25:24Speaker 3: we've got the Hulk ones coming out. I think it's me. Yeah,
- 25:27Speaker 3: but I don't know. I think I might have twelve
- 25:31Speaker 3: or thirteen or something.
- 25:32Speaker 5: Okay, that's definitely more than me.
- 25:34Speaker 1: That's okay.
- 25:37Speaker 5: No, I have like six, I think six, I have
- 25:39Speaker 5: like that more than six. I have seven. You have
- 25:44Speaker 5: way more than me. Oh man.
- 25:47Speaker 3: Yeah, so I would have the chat.
- 25:50Speaker 5: Come on, figure this out.
- 25:51Speaker 2: Yeah, it's de fearing Mulligan would know. He's he's probably
- 25:54Speaker 2: counting right now, well.
- 25:56Speaker 3: Because I yeah, you don't count the Harrians and the chases,
- 25:58Speaker 3: do you? Or does oo? Do those kids? Yet? Not
- 26:03Speaker 3: the pro like I've got the Ultra Chase, Like I
- 26:08Speaker 3: get that one Christmas time Ultra Chase one, which is
- 26:11Speaker 3: what one of ten?
- 26:13Speaker 1: Uh?
- 26:15Speaker 3: Someone sold it on you? Yeah, well there was one
- 26:18Speaker 3: on eBay. I wish I would have saw it because
- 26:20Speaker 3: I would have bought it, but it sold for a
- 26:21Speaker 3: hundred bucks. Oh man. I was like they just didn't
- 26:25Speaker 3: know at the time that that Yeah, that's like less
- 26:28Speaker 3: than a normal chase when they first come out. But yeah,
- 26:32Speaker 3: that's the only time I've ever seen that in eBay
- 26:34Speaker 3: and it just it was gone. Like I've had mine,
- 26:37Speaker 3: and I think maybe Ryan has one, and I've never
- 26:40Speaker 3: seen anybody have the other ones. I'm sure there's some
- 26:42Speaker 3: like uh what micro bowler groups on Facebook or something
- 26:46Speaker 3: that probably has, but.
- 26:48Speaker 5: I also think it's one of those things where people
- 26:50Speaker 5: don't even really honestly, I don't want people to bother
- 26:54Speaker 5: them to sell.
- 26:55Speaker 3: Them, yes, or it went to a kid.
- 26:58Speaker 5: I'm sure there's stuff like that too. They didn't know
- 27:00Speaker 5: what they had and it's been played with and destroyed.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Yeah, shoot on, Yeah, the dog chewed up the ultra
- 27:04Speaker 2: chase erring says pretty sure Matt has a dozen.
- 27:07Speaker 3: Okay, if Matt has a dozen, I might have fifteen.
- 27:10Speaker 3: Like that that would be it would be pretty it
- 27:12Speaker 3: would be pretty close. And that's only because like we
- 27:14Speaker 3: have the three convention exclusives this week, which one was
- 27:18Speaker 3: this last week in an Astronomicon, which was like a
- 27:20Speaker 3: misfit styled one, and then there was the Hulk coming
- 27:24Speaker 3: out and then Red Hulk.
- 27:26Speaker 5: Wow.
- 27:27Speaker 2: So uh you. I was saying this earlier. You you
- 27:32Speaker 2: love you. You are really hands on with your merch stuff.
- 27:35Speaker 2: You're talking about your micro brawlers, you're talking about your
- 27:38Speaker 2: I was mentioned in the T shirts designs. Do you
- 27:40Speaker 2: like doing this kind of stuff? Do you like that
- 27:43Speaker 2: sort of thinking about the design work and the and
- 27:45Speaker 2: the images and the sales and all that stuff. Yeah,
- 27:49Speaker 2: I'm pretty natural at it.
- 27:50Speaker 3: I try to control like ninety five percent of what
- 27:53Speaker 3: I put out. Sometimes stuff just gets put out when
- 27:55Speaker 3: you work for a company it's kind of is what
- 27:58Speaker 3: it is. But like if I can control stuff, Like
- 28:01Speaker 3: there was a long time where everybody's T shirts looked
- 28:03Speaker 3: almost exactly the same to me, and I went, hey,
- 28:05Speaker 3: I don't want my T shirts to look like everybody
- 28:07Speaker 3: else's T shirts. I don't think they should. Like I
- 28:10Speaker 3: was like, can I please just buy find my own
- 28:12Speaker 3: artists and you know, pay them and then they can
- 28:14Speaker 3: put up my shirts and that they said, yeah, So
- 28:17Speaker 3: that's why a lot of my T shirts vary in
- 28:19Speaker 3: what they look like, especially like official aw release stuff.
- 28:23Speaker 3: But like when I was on the indies, i'd find
- 28:25Speaker 3: a new artist like once every couple of weeks because
- 28:28Speaker 3: I feel like I was putting on a new T
- 28:29Speaker 3: shirt a week because they were selling. Like now, I
- 28:33Speaker 3: now what what I think. I talked to Mad about this,
- 28:35Speaker 3: Like T shirts have kind of like gone down a
- 28:37Speaker 3: little bit just in general.
- 28:39Speaker 5: It's I mean, I don't talking about it's bad.
- 28:44Speaker 3: Yeah, I was like, I don't. Like there'd be times
- 28:46Speaker 3: where I bring a suitcase full of T shirts and
- 28:47Speaker 3: like I used to just sell out of them, and
- 28:49Speaker 3: now everyone is like, oh, yeah, we don't sell T
- 28:52Speaker 3: shirts anymore. Like I'm like, yeah, I think this this
- 28:54Speaker 3: last like live run that I have aside from like
- 28:57Speaker 3: leftover stuff that's been sent to me recently from uh
- 28:59Speaker 3: Rocking foughten, Like I just got two boxes and leftover
- 29:02Speaker 3: stuff from them. I don't think I'm gonna order any
- 29:04Speaker 3: more like livestock T shirts unless it's like the Australia
- 29:07Speaker 3: Tour or something special like that where I haven't been there.
- 29:10Speaker 5: I think it's just because every every single thing is
- 29:13Speaker 5: print to order that, like they just any urgency, right.
- 29:17Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, So that's why I like I go through
- 29:19Speaker 3: my friend who, like again, when I first started wrestling,
- 29:21Speaker 3: he printed my shirts, so like if I get stuff
- 29:23Speaker 3: like live printed, I go through his screen printing company
- 29:26Speaker 3: just to help him out and like have something. That's
- 29:28Speaker 3: why I feel that not getting T shirts anymore, but
- 29:30Speaker 3: I still try to use them for whatever I possibly can.
- 29:33Speaker 2: I just really think that people have closets full of
- 29:37Speaker 2: shirts they can't fit anymore and they don't.
- 29:39Speaker 3: Why have I legitimately have like a closet in another
- 29:43Speaker 3: dresser full of shirts that I don't want to get
- 29:45Speaker 3: rid of because I like them, but I don't eat
- 29:47Speaker 3: them like I could. I wear like five to ten
- 29:49Speaker 3: T shirts.
- 29:50Speaker 5: Like yeah, we're dudes. We all did the same shit.
- 29:52Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I wear the same same things.
- 29:55Speaker 5: In the terms of wrestling, though, I think it's like, okay,
- 29:57Speaker 5: John Cena, well he would change that shirt like what
- 30:01Speaker 5: every six months, every quarter, everything, And now with like
- 30:06Speaker 5: print order, there's so many designs. It's not like you
- 30:10Speaker 5: know and that everybody.
- 30:12Speaker 3: I know everyone everyone wants the T shirt. But it
- 30:15Speaker 3: also makes it less special when everybody has a T shirt.
- 30:18Speaker 5: There we go.
- 30:18Speaker 3: Yeah, and I know that's probably a controversial thing maybe
- 30:23Speaker 3: to say where it's like no, no, everyone should have
- 30:25Speaker 3: a T shirt. I'm like sure. But also it's not
- 30:28Speaker 3: like didn't you have to earn your T shirts?
- 30:30Speaker 5: Matt talk about that was like a huge deal you.
- 30:35Speaker 3: Had, and it's like it was like unheard of, right, like.
- 30:37Speaker 4: Yeah, like this is like but now there's so many
- 30:40Speaker 4: different options. But they gave me like a basic shirt.
- 30:43Speaker 4: It was like ever, like the fifteen dollars one with
- 30:45Speaker 4: just a logo in the front, and I had to
- 30:47Speaker 4: make that sell.
- 30:48Speaker 5: And then they finally I remember, because.
- 30:49Speaker 3: You were writing pencil stuff to people.
- 30:52Speaker 5: I was setting the tops cards. I was the top card.
- 30:56Speaker 5: And then to get your shirt like carried to live
- 30:59Speaker 5: events is a whole nother tier of like, yeah, different accomplishment.
- 31:03Speaker 3: But now I feel like it's more just like, oh,
- 31:05Speaker 3: here's a website. Everyone has a T shirt, right right, Yeah,
- 31:07Speaker 3: It's like okay, like that's why you don't have an
- 31:10Speaker 3: Austin three sixteen shirt anymore. Like in my opinion, I
- 31:14Speaker 3: don't know if that's correct, but that's.
- 31:15Speaker 5: Kind of how I No, I do think there's something
- 31:17Speaker 5: to it, Like there's just no specialness and there's no urgency.
- 31:20Speaker 4: I imagine if there was just like one imagine if
- 31:22Speaker 4: there was one definitive yeat JUS shirt.
- 31:27Speaker 5: Yeah no, there's like thirty Yeah.
- 31:29Speaker 4: You know, like I can't if I close my thing
- 31:31Speaker 4: of ju So I know the shirt says yeat, but
- 31:33Speaker 4: I don't know the shirt right, you know, right yeah?
- 31:37Speaker 3: Because right it almost comes off too like when I
- 31:41Speaker 3: debuted at aw we had a list of like the
- 31:44Speaker 3: top five T shirt sales of debuts of all time,
- 31:47Speaker 3: and like I was on there, And I don't think
- 31:49Speaker 3: that's been a thing since. Like I think it's because
- 31:51Speaker 3: there's oversaturation of just everybody has something.
- 31:54Speaker 5: Now. Yeah, I fought it was an Instagram company the
- 32:00Speaker 5: does shirts, and I think they're doing well, and I
- 32:01Speaker 5: think it's because they number. I mean, I'm sure other
- 32:04Speaker 5: places would have to figure this out, but the same design,
- 32:07Speaker 5: but just like a trading card, there'll be a little
- 32:09Speaker 5: thing like or I think he's just started that this week.
- 32:12Speaker 3: Oh, they did a limited twenty five.
- 32:15Speaker 5: Thirty five out of five hundred, and then once they
- 32:16Speaker 5: hit that five hundred, that shirt's gone, you know in sales, Yeah,
- 32:19Speaker 5: that design's gone.
- 32:20Speaker 3: And which stuff like that is cool. I just found
- 32:23Speaker 3: a guy on Instagram I showed mattis also in Australia
- 32:26Speaker 3: where he's doing T shirts on action figure carding. So
- 32:31Speaker 3: it's like not super big, but it's like a small bubble,
- 32:34Speaker 3: but the shirt is folded so like this one was
- 32:36Speaker 3: a Doctor Doom t shirt, so it has like comic
- 32:38Speaker 3: book action figure carding on it, and then it's got
- 32:41Speaker 3: like a full backing like an action figure would and
- 32:44Speaker 3: then it has the little plastic bubble and it's presented
- 32:46Speaker 3: like an action figure. And I'm like, so I've messaged
- 32:49Speaker 3: that guy because I want to see if he'll start
- 32:51Speaker 3: doing stuff. Right now, it's just him doing his own thing,
- 32:54Speaker 3: but he said he said he's looking into it. I
- 32:56Speaker 3: was like that would be a cool way to sell
- 32:57Speaker 3: T shirts, and then people might even like just collect
- 32:59Speaker 3: them and hang them on their wall, like that might be, Hey,
- 33:03Speaker 3: let's do what we do with action figures, where we
- 33:05Speaker 3: open one to wear and then you keep one to
- 33:08Speaker 3: collect and you can.
- 33:08Speaker 5: Get it signed.
- 33:10Speaker 3: And then that way. Because I hate signing T shirts.
- 33:13Speaker 3: It's annoying and it's like it it looks, it looks
- 33:17Speaker 3: bad every time, and it takes way longer signing it
- 33:19Speaker 3: eight by ten. So I always am like, I have
- 33:21Speaker 3: to charge you for this. This takes way longer than
- 33:23Speaker 3: signing anything.
- 33:24Speaker 5: Else, ring worn or something, and even then it still
- 33:29Speaker 5: sucks and it's a pain. But just signing a shot
- 33:33Speaker 5: such a waste. Someone's micro shut.
- 33:41Speaker 3: It can't be twenty five.
- 33:44Speaker 2: That's a lot.
- 33:46Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't think it's forty. I think it's fifteen.
- 33:48Speaker 1: If I don't know, now I'm curious for the rest
- 33:53Speaker 1: of us.
- 33:55Speaker 3: Well, someone said they saw the whole one and they
- 33:57Speaker 3: commented on my Facebook group and then go, he's jumped
- 33:59Speaker 3: the shark, And I was like, this is literally what
- 34:01Speaker 3: Michael Browlers can be used for. It is like having
- 34:03Speaker 3: like Hulk Dan Housen and things like that.
- 34:04Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, it's not you know.
- 34:07Speaker 3: He was like I don't. No. I was like, I don't.
- 34:10Speaker 3: So this is where you can do fun dumb things
- 34:12Speaker 3: like aw is gonna put out a Hulk Dan Housen toylet.
- 34:16Speaker 2: Yeah, shred or nash is so cool. You could have
- 34:18Speaker 2: that in any other way, right.
- 34:20Speaker 3: Yeah, Like that's not gonna aside from I guess the
- 34:23Speaker 3: technically the neck of toys that but like that's not
- 34:25Speaker 3: going to get released as a a w W figure.
- 34:30Speaker 2: Now, well, we certainly don't want to keep you too long,
- 34:33Speaker 2: but you want to give us a little quick tour there.
- 34:35Speaker 3: Oh yeah yeah. So again it's still under construction, so
- 34:39Speaker 3: it's a mess.
- 34:39Speaker 5: But like those lights are I can't believe those lights
- 34:42Speaker 5: are like motion sensored.
- 34:43Speaker 3: Yeah, you can change the color on him too. So
- 34:45Speaker 3: like I've got my gym here, the paper, this is
- 34:50Speaker 3: my bank that uh yeah, and then there's a that's
- 34:54Speaker 3: another wall. I've got the shelves there. What else is
- 34:59Speaker 3: we got? There's this is all the stuff that I'm
- 35:01Speaker 3: trying to just gonna get rid of because it's too much.
- 35:04Speaker 3: So that that was my whole basement, but like stacked
- 35:07Speaker 3: like halfway to the ceiling. I've got the shelves with
- 35:10Speaker 3: some statues and stuff that are built into the wall.
- 35:13Speaker 3: That's the Bowen Designs ones right there. They're just little
- 35:16Speaker 3: nice statues, and I've got my comics, but those are
- 35:19Speaker 3: getting moved. Those are just kind of a temporary set
- 35:21Speaker 3: up to see if it looks nice. I've got more
- 35:24Speaker 3: of like the Nosferatu stuff. I've got the theater right there.
- 35:28Speaker 3: Oh yeah, so all of a suddenly the dog ate a
- 35:32Speaker 3: bunch of stuff on the floor, I guess, but yeah,
- 35:34Speaker 3: that's the like size alien heads in between the projector
- 35:37Speaker 3: and the projeck's upward. And then I've got the Modeu case,
- 35:42Speaker 3: which again is getting set up.
- 35:43Speaker 5: But yeah, those are awesome, man. Yeah.
- 35:46Speaker 3: So but I've got like a Doctor Doom shelf. I've
- 35:48Speaker 3: got a spider Man's shelf, and then I think I'm
- 35:50Speaker 3: gonna do a Wolverine shelf at the bottom. And then
- 35:52Speaker 3: on this wall, I've got the life size wallpaper of
- 35:55Speaker 3: the Universal Monsters.
- 35:58Speaker 1: Is terrifying the wall, so it's getting set up.
- 36:02Speaker 3: And then in my like corridor allway to this area,
- 36:05Speaker 3: I'm gonna put like the I've got Storm collectibles, so
- 36:08Speaker 3: like the Mortal Kombat, the Street Fighters, and they're next
- 36:13Speaker 3: to the one up machines because it's like a little hallway.
- 36:15Speaker 3: But there's a couple like little space areas that I
- 36:18Speaker 3: can use. So I'm gonna set that up as like
- 36:21Speaker 3: a mini s arcade. It's not an arcade, but that's
- 36:25Speaker 3: kind of what I'm going for with it.
- 36:27Speaker 2: I love that, and.
- 36:29Speaker 3: Then I think, once I have it set up, I'm
- 36:33Speaker 3: going to do an MTV crib style walk through as.
- 36:35Speaker 5: Dam Yeah, there we go in the paint though, in
- 36:39Speaker 5: the paint. Gotta be in the paint.
- 36:43Speaker 3: Yeah, no, no, no, it'll be in the paint.
- 36:47Speaker 2: And that'll do insane numbers on your YouTube channel.
- 36:51Speaker 3: Yeah you're back, You're back, I hope so because YouTube
- 36:53Speaker 3: is not YouTube is not great anymore, so hopefully that'll
- 36:56Speaker 3: resurrect it.
- 36:58Speaker 5: Well that's how you like your pop u larity really grew? Right? Oh,
- 37:09Speaker 5: very nice, very pixelated. Go back to that spot that.
- 37:15Speaker 3: I have the best WiFi? Did I unfreeze?
- 37:17Speaker 5: Yeah you're.
- 37:21Speaker 3: Okay, Okay, sorry, I was walking around so I probably
- 37:23Speaker 3: got into a bad dead zone or something. Uh what
- 37:26Speaker 3: did you ask about the YouTube?
- 37:28Speaker 5: Yeah? I said that's how you originally kind of like
- 37:30Speaker 5: you grew your popularity.
- 37:31Speaker 3: Yeah, well I would. I would say like that, and
- 37:35Speaker 3: then like Ethan Page's toy blogs, which I still at
- 37:39Speaker 3: meet and greets, get told like I miss you doing
- 37:41Speaker 3: toy blogs with Ethan Page, and I'm like, yeah, me too,
- 37:45Speaker 3: like kind of is what it is. He's doing pretty
- 37:49Speaker 3: well right now. So yeah, yes, yeah, I was like,
- 37:55Speaker 3: he's going to become t and a champion again or
- 37:57Speaker 3: not again, but the first time. Right, But yeah, so
- 38:01Speaker 3: YouTube definitely built me up. I still get a bunch
- 38:03Speaker 3: of people where I'm like, it's so worth doing because
- 38:05Speaker 3: a lot of fans are like, oh, yeah, I saw
- 38:07Speaker 3: you on YouTube. Let me look great. Whatever you see
- 38:09Speaker 3: me on is good.
- 38:12Speaker 5: Absolutely, do you last question for me? But yeah, yeah,
- 38:17Speaker 5: Like how exhausting is it doing the voice and the
- 38:20Speaker 5: makeup and stuff every time?
- 38:21Speaker 4: You know?
- 38:21Speaker 3: Ah, so it takes me only about five minutes to
- 38:25Speaker 3: do the makeup, so that's fine. I've just I've done
- 38:28Speaker 3: it so many times at this point and I've simplified
- 38:31Speaker 3: it enough to be able to just get it on.
- 38:34Speaker 3: It was actually I was the reason for that. I
- 38:36Speaker 3: was as at aw and I was supposed to wrestle.
- 38:38Speaker 3: I was gonna scramble with MGF and we were supposed
- 38:43Speaker 3: to be on like third or fourth, and then they
- 38:45Speaker 3: switched it to first, and I was like scrambling to
- 38:47Speaker 3: get my makeup on, and I was like, I never
- 38:48Speaker 3: want to do this again. I never want to be
- 38:51Speaker 3: put in this position of like doing that again where
- 38:54Speaker 3: it's just anxiety inducing and gonna give me a panic
- 38:57Speaker 3: attack taking it off, sock. Taking it off is annoying.
- 39:01Speaker 3: I also don't like doing it. I always feel awkward
- 39:05Speaker 3: doing it in public because I don't want to make
- 39:07Speaker 3: anybody feel uncomfortable who doesn't know me. Same thing with
- 39:11Speaker 3: like the voice and stuff like. I don't care about
- 39:13Speaker 3: doing it in front of like you guys or like people.
- 39:15Speaker 3: But I don't want to make someone who's just going
- 39:16Speaker 3: there to shop and want to like they're like what,
- 39:18Speaker 3: I don't want to be here right now. I never
- 39:20Speaker 3: want anything like that to happen. That's why I usually
- 39:23Speaker 3: we'll call ahead if I'm going to do something like
- 39:25Speaker 3: that and be like, hey, can we shut the store
- 39:26Speaker 3: down for like ten minutes, like and then you get
- 39:30Speaker 3: a free commercial out of it, like you can open
- 39:32Speaker 3: it up immediately after. I'll go within the ten minutes
- 39:34Speaker 3: or whatever. Sorry, what was the basis of the question
- 39:38Speaker 3: With the voice? The voice, I don't do it Like
- 39:44Speaker 3: people will be like, oh, you don't do the voice
- 39:45Speaker 3: at meet and greets and I go, no, those are
- 39:48Speaker 3: like hours long sometimes, and like I talk to you,
- 39:52Speaker 3: I have to talk to you as an adult. I'm
- 39:53Speaker 3: not doing the voice it. Also, I've made the joke
- 39:56Speaker 3: about being treated like what there's an episode of The
- 39:59Speaker 3: Simpsons or Bart has a line when he's on the
- 40:01Speaker 3: crud like I didn't do it or whatever, and they're like,
- 40:02Speaker 3: do the line, Bart.
- 40:04Speaker 1: Right, I'm not doing my voice.
- 40:07Speaker 3: Sometimes people walk up and go do the voice, and
- 40:09Speaker 3: I go, no, yeah, that works.
- 40:13Speaker 5: What's the longest amount of time consecutively you've been in
- 40:16Speaker 5: the paint?
- 40:17Speaker 3: Uh oh. One of the Mania years, I was in
- 40:20Speaker 3: it for almost twenty hours or something. But I would say,
- 40:24Speaker 3: like TV time, like if we're at aw and I'm
- 40:27Speaker 3: in it, I'm in it for probably twelve hours or something.
- 40:31Speaker 3: It just depends because sometimes it's easier just to do
- 40:33Speaker 3: it in the hotel room too, and then just go
- 40:34Speaker 3: to the show. So I try to be in it
- 40:37Speaker 3: as little as possible because it exhausts me somehow, Like
- 40:42Speaker 3: just from being in it like that, if it like.
- 40:46Speaker 2: Stuffing beyond button you have to be on.
- 40:49Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know if it like suffocates my skin,
- 40:51Speaker 3: like on a technical level or something, but yeah, getting
- 40:54Speaker 3: it off is more annoying than putting it on, for sure,
- 40:57Speaker 3: because it just it becomes a mess, and then it
- 40:59Speaker 3: becomes a little bit less of a mess, and it
- 41:01Speaker 3: takes like ten stages of being a mess to get
- 41:03Speaker 3: it off.
- 41:03Speaker 5: Finally, and you're like, yeah, you like black ears, Yeah.
- 41:07Speaker 3: I've got I've got Robert several times.
- 41:10Speaker 5: With black eyes and black ears.
- 41:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I look like I have undertake her eyes.
- 41:14Speaker 5: And yeah, the most emo kid, or I just.
- 41:18Speaker 3: Looked, I just looked dirty because I didn't get it
- 41:20Speaker 3: all off and I ran. Yeah, so it's that. And
- 41:24Speaker 3: then I've got a bunch of stuff in my hair
- 41:26Speaker 3: for making my hair look stupid. And then if I
- 41:28Speaker 3: don't have a hat or something, I just have the
- 41:29Speaker 3: world's worst hair. But like, as a regular person.
- 41:34Speaker 1: Which is not fun. You're a superstar pal, No I'm trying.
- 41:39Speaker 3: That's when people are like, well you do it every
- 41:41Speaker 3: single time, Like, yeah, no one wants to take a
- 41:42Speaker 3: picture I mean by myself, Like but I'm I'm not
- 41:44Speaker 3: staying like I'm not like a legend.
- 41:46Speaker 5: Right well, I'm looking forward to when you announce your
- 41:49Speaker 5: last year of signing in the painty paint.
- 41:56Speaker 3: Well, we'll see I feel like you.
- 41:58Speaker 5: Three yeah at the house. I agree.
- 42:01Speaker 3: Come see Dan now because demolition still does the paint.
- 42:06Speaker 5: Sting announced this is the last yeah, I'll ever put
- 42:08Speaker 5: the paint on it, which.
- 42:10Speaker 3: Is unfortunate because he looks really cool as an old
- 42:12Speaker 3: man's sting. Right Well, I did see someone say he
- 42:16Speaker 3: looks like Scott Steiner. He looks like Scott Steiner sting
- 42:19Speaker 3: from this last week.
- 42:19Speaker 5: We've had some crazy gotigue.
- 42:22Speaker 4: But sure it has been like doctor, and it's not
- 42:24Speaker 4: that long, no one that's going on.
- 42:25Speaker 3: No, I just because I was there with him at
- 42:27Speaker 3: that one and I was like, he doesn't look like
- 42:28Speaker 3: Scott stein It's also not that huge like that is
- 42:32Speaker 3: definitely like.
- 42:32Speaker 5: Photoshopped at the time the doctor. That photo.
- 42:37Speaker 4: Yeah, well, listen, thank you for for coming on and
- 42:42Speaker 4: and you know, letting us in behind the painting and
- 42:43Speaker 4: showing it's your collection. We appreciate you, and you get
- 42:45Speaker 4: the big rubber guy coming soon. We don't know when
- 42:48Speaker 4: the fuck's coming. But it's coming. We got a major
- 42:50Speaker 4: stars coming. We don't know when the fuck's coming, but
- 42:52Speaker 4: it's coming, and I'm sure we'll do some other stuff
- 42:54Speaker 4: down the line as well.
- 42:56Speaker 2: Awesome.
- 42:56Speaker 3: Yeah, of course I always want to do stuff.
- 42:58Speaker 5: And that big rubber guy's got to be.
- 43:01Speaker 3: I got the prototype in and it's awesome because I
- 43:03Speaker 3: think it's pretty close to what a final would be.
- 43:05Speaker 3: So right, it's rubbery and everything.
- 43:08Speaker 5: Make sure where those red tights are, Bros, gonna be
- 43:10Speaker 5: real pisted. I know, I know.
- 43:12Speaker 3: I've worn him in front of him.
- 43:16Speaker 4: Yeah, I saw it is pink ones now yeh, damn pink.
- 43:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 43:22Speaker 3: I had a bunch of new stuff that I wore.
- 43:23Speaker 3: He was impressed. I wore four different tights for four
- 43:25Speaker 3: different shows in Australia. He said, I was very professional style.
- 43:28Speaker 5: That's my style, very professional. I love the old Chava Guerrero,
- 43:32Speaker 5: different tights every night. I love it.
- 43:37Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, man, thank you appreciate, Yes, you are welcome.
- 43:42Speaker 3: Thank you for having me on
