Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. Now that the election dust is beginning to
• 0:09
Speaker 1: settle a bit, there's going to be some questions about
• 0:12
Speaker 1: what comes next, especially considering all the rhetoric we've heard
• 0:16
Speaker 1: from the Democrats about what they plan to do if
• 0:21
Speaker 1: they took power. And I think that one of the
• 0:23
Speaker 1: biggest tests for the Democrats and how serious they're going
• 0:26
Speaker 1: to be when it comes to accountability is is with
• 0:30
Speaker 1: the issue of Jeffrey Epstein. And if they think that
• 0:33
Speaker 1: they just rode this pony across the finish line and
• 0:36
Speaker 1: they're not going to feed it after, they're crazy. Because
• 0:40
Speaker 1: they're going to be held accountable. I promise you that.
• 0:44
Speaker 1: Especially here. So now that the Democrats have won both
• 0:49
Speaker 1: chambers of Congress, the question is, what comes next? And today,
• 0:55
Speaker 1: we have an article from Forbes and the headlines. What
• 0:59
Speaker 1: Democrats winning Congress means for the Epstein files, as more associates,
• 1:04
Speaker 1: could be revealed. This article was authored by Allison Durkee.
• 1:09
Speaker 1: Key Facts House Democrats had been planning to make Epstein's
• 1:13
Speaker 1: alleged abuse a major focus of their work should they
• 1:16
Speaker 1: regain control of the House, with a statement by incoming
• 1:19
Speaker 1: House Oversight Committee Representative Robert Garcia Tuesday night simply saying,
• 1:25
Speaker 1: lawyer up. And look, I warned against this kind of
• 1:28
Speaker 1: shit during the first Trump administration because I knew it
• 1:32
Speaker 1: would go nowhere. This time around though, oh, there's meat
• 1:35
Speaker 1: on the bone. And it's obvious that this man was
• 1:38
  Speaker 1: overseeing a cover-up. So if that's the angle they're going
• 1:42
Speaker 1: to use and that's the way they're going to go,
• 1:44
Speaker 1: they're going to find pay dirt. But if they play
• 1:47
Speaker 1: stupid games and come up with all kinds of other
• 1:50
Speaker 1: crazy outlandish shit, the American people are going to repudiate that.
• 1:57
Speaker 1: I think what this election taught us is that enough
• 1:59
Speaker 1: is enough, and people are done with the bullshit, and
• 2:03
Speaker 1: it's time to come correct. Democrats securing a majority means
• 2:08
Speaker 1: they'll now have the ability to issue subpoenas and call hearings,
• 2:12
Speaker 1: and Garcia and other Democrats on the House Oversight Committee
• 2:15
Speaker 1: have vowed to escalate the committee's ongoing Epstein investigation, including
• 2:20
Speaker 1: by holding public hearings and forcing people connected to Epstein
• 2:24
Speaker 1: to testify under oath. That all sounds great, and I
• 2:28
Speaker 1: plan on holding them to that. I don't have any faves,
• 2:31
Speaker 1: and frankly, I don't trust any of these people, Republican
• 2:35
Speaker 1: or Democrat. Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee released a
• 2:41
Speaker 1: 50-page report last month alleging Trump was an active participant
• 2:45
Speaker 1: in Jeffrey Epstein's sexual abuse of young women and his
• 2:49
Speaker 1: Justice Department is doing everything they can to keep the
• 2:51
Speaker 1: American people in the dark about it, which Trump has
• 2:55
Speaker 1: long denied. calling on the DOJ to appoint a special
• 2:58
Speaker 1: counsel to investigate Trump's ties to Epstein. And I don't
• 3:02
Speaker 1: see how anyone can have a problem with that, honestly.
• 3:05
Speaker 1: And the people that do have a problem with it
• 3:08
Speaker 1: are exactly why they lost this election. Because most normal
• 3:12
Speaker 1: Americans who aren't caught up in the bullshit understand that
• 3:17
Speaker 1: the Justice Department's not capable of investigating itself. And anybody
• 3:22
Speaker 1: who's standing against a special counsel... obviously has something to hide.
• 3:27
Speaker 1: After noting in the report there is little reason to
• 3:30
Speaker 1: believe Trump's DOJ would actually take a step, House Judiciary
• 3:34
Speaker 1: Democrats may now launch an investigation into Trump-Epstein ties itself,
• 3:39
Speaker 1: arguing in its report Congress should use its legislative and
• 3:42
Speaker 1: oversight power to pursue justice for survivors and bring an
• 3:46
Speaker 1: end to the Trump administration's shameful, bureaucratic, and political cover-up. Bingo.
• 3:52
Speaker 1: The difference here between the first time around you know,
• 3:55
Speaker 1: with Russiagate and all the rest of it. Well, this time,
• 4:00
Speaker 1: we actually watched the cover-up happen in real time. There
• 4:03
Speaker 1: was no backroom negotiating. We all saw what happened. And
• 4:07
Speaker 1: there's no disputing it. There's actual contemporaneous evidence and evidence
• 4:14
Speaker 1: happening in real time that points to this being a
• 4:17
Speaker 1: cover-up that's been initiated by the White House. And now
• 4:21
Speaker 1: all the juking and jiving, all the bullshit, all the
• 4:24
Speaker 1: nonsense is going to come to a head. And unlike
• 4:27
Speaker 1: the Russia stuff, there's actually evidence here that could send
• 4:31
Speaker 1: people to prison. And that's not a hyperbole. That's a fact.
• 4:35
Speaker 1: We're not talking about some bullshit here. In addition to
• 4:40
Speaker 1: probing Trump's ties to Epstein, Democrats on the House Judiciary
• 4:43
Speaker 1: Committee have already previously launched investigations into Epstein's work with
• 4:48
Speaker 1: foreign officials and his ties to Wall Street banks, and
• 4:51
Speaker 1: how he leveraged ties to major universities to further his
• 4:54
Speaker 1: alleged abuse, which they now have more power to pursue,
• 4:58
Speaker 1: as well as probing reports of Epstein's associate Ghislaine Maxwell
• 5:02
Speaker 1: receiving special treatment in prison. The DOJ is about to
• 5:06
Speaker 1: have some oversight. That's what that means. Now, how far
• 5:09
Speaker 1: that's going to go is anybody's guess. Now that election
• 5:13
Speaker 1: season's over, do you trust these politicians to do what
• 5:16
Speaker 1: they say they're going to do? I would hope so,
• 5:20
Speaker 1: but not my first rodeo. I've seen all this before,
• 5:24
Speaker 1: and I've heard all the promises, so people can save
• 5:27
Speaker 1: the rhetoric for somebody else. I'm interested in action. Democrats
• 5:32
Speaker 1: have also sponsored multiple pieces of legislation on the Epstein
• 5:35
Speaker 1: files that can now have a better chance of passing
• 5:38
Speaker 1: in a Democrat-controlled Congress, including bills that would go after
• 5:42
Speaker 1: Wall Street banks that work with Epstein and let members
• 5:45
Speaker 1: of Congress demand missing Epstein files. from the Trump administration.
• 5:50
Speaker 1: That's what we need. We need a bulletproof plan to
• 5:56
Speaker 1: make them turn over those documents. And the first step
• 6:00
Speaker 1: of that was making them lose their majority. And now
• 6:03
Speaker 1: that it's gone, they're in serious jeopardy. Make no mistake.
• 6:08
Speaker 1: What will the Democrats do on Epstein after winning the House?
• 6:12
Speaker 1: Garcia told Bloomberg before the election, that the Epstein investigation
• 6:16
Speaker 1: is going to be one of our top priorities if
• 6:19
Speaker 1: his party retook the House. As Garcia stands poised to
• 6:22
Speaker 1: chair the House Oversight Committee, buddy, you better get ready.
• 6:28
Speaker 1: Because if you don't do what you said you're going
• 6:29
Speaker 1: to do, it's on. You're going to be on the clock.
• 6:34
Speaker 1: And that goes for every single one of these Democrats
• 6:37
Speaker 1: that made us promises. While the committee has been investigating
• 6:43
Speaker 1: Epstein even under its current GOP control, the committee has
• 6:47
Speaker 1: largely called in Epstein associates for voluntary interviews that do
• 6:51
Speaker 1: not carry the threat of perjury. Garcia has said a
• 6:55
Speaker 1: majority Democratic committee would instead call more people to testify
• 6:59
Speaker 1: under oath, also telling MSNOW the committee would hold public
• 7:03
Speaker 1: hearings on Epstein rather than only ones that take place
• 7:07
Speaker 1: behind closed doors. That's great. And if they start doing that,
• 7:11
Speaker 1: I might go to D.C. and sit in on some
• 7:13
Speaker 1: of those. Yo, your boy has had enough. I'm telling
• 7:17
Speaker 1: you right now, I have reached my breaking point. And
• 7:20
Speaker 1: all the scumbags that talked all this shit and ran
• 7:23
Speaker 1: all that yap about how Epstein's a hoax, reap what
• 7:27
Speaker 1: you sow. I hope you're enjoying your morning. Because I am.
• 7:31
Speaker 1: The country wants disclosure. They want release of the files
• 7:35
Speaker 1: and they want justice for the survivors, Garcia told Bloomberg.
• 7:39
Speaker 1: suggesting a Democrat-controlled committee would subpoena Attorney General Todd Blanch
• 7:44
Speaker 1: to testify about the DOJ's handling of the Epstein files.
• 7:48
Speaker 1: And boy, would that be great. If anyone besides Trump
• 7:51
Speaker 1: himself should be answering questions, it's Todd baby Billy Blanch.
• 7:58
Speaker 1: Epstein's ties to Wall Street are also expected to be
• 8:01
Speaker 1: a big focus of any congressional hearings under a Democratic House,
• 8:05
Speaker 1: with Garcia telling Bloomberg, that banks that did business with
• 8:09
Speaker 1: Epstein would likely be called to testify. The House Judiciary
• 8:13
Speaker 1: Committee could also now intensify its ongoing Epstein probes, as
• 8:18
Speaker 1: getting majority control in the committee gives Democrats greater power,
• 8:22
Speaker 1: like being able to hold hearings and subpoena witnesses for
• 8:25
Speaker 1: documents and testimony. Democrats will also have greater power to
• 8:30
Speaker 1: subpoena Trump's DOJ to turn over Epstein files that remain hidden.
• 8:35
Speaker 1: What about the Senate? Senate Democrats have also been carrying
• 8:39
Speaker 1: out their own investigation into Epstein, which could now similarly
• 8:42
Speaker 1: ramp up. Senator Ron Wyden from Oregon has long been
• 8:47
Speaker 1: investigating Epstein's finances and links to Wall Street. For instance,
• 8:51
Speaker 1: in the New York Times, reports committees in both House
• 8:55
Speaker 1: and Senate are prepared to hold hearings on Epstein's financial
• 8:58
Speaker 1: affairs should they switch to Democratic control. I am here
• 9:03
Speaker 1: for it. And I'll be the first one singing the
• 9:06
Speaker 1: praises of these committees if they follow through. Election results
• 9:10
Speaker 1: so far suggest Democrats will hold at least 54 seats
• 9:14
Speaker 1: in the Senate with two races still yet to be called,
• 9:17
Speaker 1: which falls short of the Senate's 60-vote threshold for passing
• 9:21
Speaker 1: most legislation, though it remains to be seen if enough
• 9:24
Speaker 1: Republicans could back Epstein investigation or charges if they're found
• 9:29
Speaker 1: to have enabled his alleged abuse. Yo, the party's over
• 9:32
Speaker 1: for Trump. There's going to be a mass exodus. Bro's
• 9:35
Speaker 1: a lame duck now. He doesn't have that aura, he
• 9:39
Speaker 1: doesn't have the mystique, and he doesn't have the big stick.
• 9:42
Speaker 1: So now, expect Republicans to start standing up to him.
• 9:46
Speaker 1: It's going to become a thing, right? Everybody wants to
• 9:49
Speaker 1: get off the burning ship. Democrats and several Republicans have
• 9:57
Speaker 1: also backed the Epstein Files Transparency Act Part 2. which
• 10:00
Speaker 1: would give State Attorney General and Epstein victims the right
• 10:04
Speaker 1: to sue the federal government for improperly withholding, concealing, or
• 10:08
Speaker 1: redacting Epstein documents, and give lawmakers the right to challenge
• 10:12
Speaker 1: any Epstein-related documents the government is withholding. The bill is
• 10:17
Speaker 1: already slated to be voted on in the House when
• 10:20
Speaker 1: the chamber goes back in session after Election Day. After
• 10:24
Speaker 1: enough lawmakers signed a discharge petition, that allows the bill
• 10:27
Speaker 1: to skip the normal committee process and go straight to
• 10:30
Speaker 1: a vote. If it doesn't pass then, or passes the
• 10:33
Speaker 1: House but solves in the Senate, the bill could have
• 10:35
Speaker 1: a better chance of passing under Democrats in the next
• 10:38
Speaker 1: congressional term. All the Republicans would really be stepping on
• 10:43
Speaker 1: their own dicks. At this point, haven't you learned your lesson?
• 10:47
Speaker 1: haven't you realized that people are done with the shit
• 10:50
Speaker 1: and they want transparency, especially here? And if you haven't learned, well,
• 10:55
Speaker 1: you're going to get built to ass once again. Representative
• 10:58
Speaker 1: James Comer has also introduced a bill that would allow
• 11:01
Speaker 1: victims of sexual abuse to speak out even in cases
• 11:05
Speaker 1: where they've signed a nondisclosure agreement, potentially allowing more Epstein
• 11:09
Speaker 1: victims to identify associates who aided in his abuse. The
• 11:14
Speaker 1: legislation has not yet moved forward, despite a Republican lawmaker
• 11:18
Speaker 1: introducing it, but could face better odds under a Democratic
• 11:21
Speaker 1: chamber that's more eager to take Epstein-related actions. Big number.
• 11:27
Speaker 1: 36 million. That's approximately how much Democrats spent on campaign
• 11:32
Speaker 1: ads related to Epstein in the midterms as the end
• 11:35
Speaker 1: of October, according to a political analysis of data from
• 11:39
Speaker 1: Ad Impact. As Democrats tried to appeal to voters using
• 11:43
Speaker 1: the Epstein files, and the party's demands for transparency. And
• 11:47
Speaker 1: it was a well-thought-out campaign. They did a good job.
• 11:50
Speaker 1: And it paid dividends. And I told you when Trump
• 11:53
Speaker 1: came out with that dumbass statement calling everybody a traitor
• 11:56
Speaker 1: that the party was over. As a political scientist, the
• 12:01
Speaker 1: writing was on the wall the second he made that post.
• 12:04
Speaker 1: And boy, did that shit come to fruition. What did
• 12:08
Speaker 1: the House Judiciary Committee's Trump report say? The House Judiciary
• 12:12
Speaker 1: Report details allegations from 11 women that suggest Trump had
• 12:16
Speaker 1: some degree of involvement with Epstein's alleged abuse, including five
• 12:20
Speaker 1: women who directly accused Trump of assaulting them in the
• 12:23
Speaker 1: 80s and 90s. Only one of those allegations had not
• 12:27
Speaker 1: been made public. Journalist Julie K. Brown noted, The woman's
• 12:32
Speaker 1: allegations share distinct factual similarities in how Trump and Epstein pursued, manipulated,
• 12:37
Speaker 1: and abused these women, the report claims. arguing the evidence
• 12:41
Speaker 1: provided meets the DOJ's threshold for opening a criminal investigation.
• 12:46
Speaker 1: Trump has long denied any abuse or wrongdoing in connection
• 12:50
Speaker 1: with Epstein, whom he had a years-long friendship before falling
• 12:54
Speaker 1: out in the early 2000s. The report also alleges the
• 12:58
Speaker 1: DOJ has intentionally covered up Trump's ties to Epstein, claiming
• 13:02
Speaker 1: the government withheld some documents in the Epstein files because
• 13:05
Speaker 1: Donald Trump is personally implicated in Epstein's sex trafficking operation.
• 13:10
Speaker 1: And can you imagine what's still being hidden? If this
• 13:13
Speaker 1: man was willing to burn all of his political capital
• 13:17
Speaker 1: because he didn't want to release the files, can you
• 13:19
Speaker 1: imagine what's in them? Democrats questioned whether the Trump administration
• 13:23
Speaker 1: is deliberately covering up further evidence that directly implicates Trump
• 13:27
Speaker 1: and Epstein's crimes. The DOJ has denied withholding Epstein files
• 13:32
Speaker 1: for any improper reason, and the White House spokeswoman, Lauren Biss,
• 13:36
Speaker 1: told Bloomberg that Trump has been totally exonerated on anything
• 13:40
Speaker 1: related to Epstein and has done more for the Epstein
• 13:43
Speaker 1: victims than anyone before him. Yeah, that's exactly what the
• 13:47
Speaker 1: populace just told you, right? The electorate obviously agrees. Lauren Biss.
• 13:54
Speaker 1: You better start looking for a new job, lady. That
• 13:59
Speaker 1: disclosure was mandated by Congress after the DOJ initially refused
• 14:03
Speaker 1: to release the files voluntarily. So folks, listen. This is
• 14:08
Speaker 1: a gigantic disaster for the administration. There's no two ways
• 14:12
Speaker 1: about it. And the beatdown that they took was epic.
• 14:16
Speaker 1: One of the worst beatdowns in the history of American politics.
• 14:20
Speaker 1: And if that wasn't bad enough, now comes the investigation
• 14:24
Speaker 1: into their handling of the Epstein scandal and the cover-up
• 14:28
Speaker 1: on behalf of Donald Trump. So as these investigations start
• 14:33
Speaker 1: to get underway... and the walls start to close in,
• 14:36
Speaker 1: my question to these administration officials is simple. Was it
• 14:42
Speaker 1: worth it? All the information that goes with this episode
