- 0:43Speaker 2: Yeah, it'll always be new, even twenty years from now.
- 0:48Speaker 3: New.
- 0:49Speaker 1: I think it's still the new Kid Cratics Show.
- 0:51Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it is. It doesn't matter. That's radio.
- 0:53Speaker 3: That's what we do. We just say it's new forever.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Yeah, it doesn't matter if they're living dead. It could
- 0:58Speaker 1: be the new Russ Martin Show. It works whatever.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Yeah, keep it on, keep new new.
- 1:04Speaker 1: It's the brand new norm Hitskas Hour, brand brand new.
- 1:10Speaker 3: It sounds good. No one wants to say the old show.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 1:14Speaker 3: Maybe that's in a way to do it. Maybe you
- 1:15Speaker 3: just flip it.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Yeah, uh new morning show on news Radio ten eighty
- 1:21Speaker 1: k Relde Marconi.
- 1:24Speaker 3: I like it. I like it.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Do it the Edward R. Murrow Morning Show. Yeah, so
- 1:30Speaker 1: there's everything that's old is now new again. Billy's a kid,
- 1:33Speaker 1: dear friend of the Treehouse of the show. We appreciate
- 1:35Speaker 1: you jumping on hanging out with us.

- 1:37Speaker 1: Yeah, thank you this Monday, November eighteen, twenty twenty four.

- 1:43Speaker 1: the way I do when I'm in Dallas right there.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Thank you six to ten am Monday through Friday on
- 1:48Speaker 1: the New Thanks the New Old Mix one or two
- 1:53Speaker 1: point nine?
- 1:53Speaker 3: Are you? Are you guys saying the point or no point?
- 1:57Speaker 3: Sometimes when I remember, I say it, but I don't
- 1:59Speaker 3: know why I what are you?
- 2:00Speaker 4: Okay?
- 2:00Speaker 1: Let me ask you this according to your program director?
- 2:03Speaker 1: Are you supposed to say the point? Yes, sir one?
- 2:06Speaker 1: Are the crazy things about radio working in radio for
- 2:08Speaker 1: as long as all of us have how some program directors,
- 2:14Speaker 1: which are of course the bosses of the radio station,
- 2:16Speaker 1: right they've been you know, consolidated, which happens a lot
- 2:22Speaker 1: these days, some of them will live and die in
- 2:25Speaker 1: those aircheck meetings on whether or not you said the
- 2:28Speaker 1: point of the radio station, because they see that as
- 2:31Speaker 1: if do you say the point? Do you not say
- 2:33Speaker 1: the point as a make or break of a radio station?
- 2:36Speaker 3: Like people aren't going to figure it out?
- 2:38Speaker 2: Like if I said one oh two nine, They're like, wait, well,
- 2:40Speaker 2: I'll have no idea where to look now? Is it
- 2:43Speaker 2: one point too, like people know, but for whatever reason,
- 2:46Speaker 2: it's a radio thing that we think everyone's stupid. We
- 2:50Speaker 2: have to spell it out. So if you don't say
- 2:52Speaker 2: the point nowadays, you might get fired.
- 2:55Speaker 3: You never know.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Yeah, and I remember, like in some stations they'll put
- 2:59Speaker 1: it up on the wall.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Oh dude, yeah, but that.
- 3:02Speaker 1: The name of the station and the slogan and how
- 3:04Speaker 1: the station is supposed to be addressed. Every single time
- 3:07Speaker 1: you open the microphone, you start with one oh three
- 3:11Speaker 1: point seven kvil.
- 3:13Speaker 2: But see, you guys have had it easy because you've
- 3:15Speaker 2: never had to work top forty. And let me just say,
- 3:18Speaker 2: the monikers in the top forty format, there's nothing more stupid. So,
- 3:22Speaker 2: like you know, I've had to say some pretty dumb
- 3:23Speaker 2: monikers over my life, the monikers like you know, today's
- 3:26Speaker 2: hit music or whatever, because I've had some that are
- 3:29Speaker 2: so long we only have eight seconds sometimes in our
- 3:31Speaker 2: song intros, it takes up the whole thing.
- 3:33Speaker 3: I remember at Hot one hundred back in the day,
- 3:35Speaker 3: you remember it was yeah, Hot one hundred.
- 3:38Speaker 2: It was triple the music. The new Hot one hundred
- 3:41Speaker 2: always at least eighteen songs in a row. Well, the
- 3:44Speaker 2: show's over by the time I say all that have
- 3:47Speaker 2: a good day.
- 3:47Speaker 4: Yeap.
- 3:48Speaker 1: I mean, well, luckily, now that we're on a longer
- 3:50Speaker 1: form format, or we have been for the majority of
- 3:52Speaker 1: our careers, I have the time to go back in
- 3:55Speaker 1: time to where you said, Billy that me and Trey
- 3:58Speaker 1: have had it easy. So then I can reply with you,
- 4:01Speaker 1: Billy the kid you hard right up your ass?
- 4:06Speaker 3: True? Okay, fair? Yeah, okay, I didn't say he goes
- 4:08Speaker 3: about it easy. Really, when did did winded? When did
- 4:11Speaker 3: one of your show members go to federal prison? Okay,
- 4:14Speaker 3: that's fair. Hey, who's been in prison? That not federal? True,
- 4:19Speaker 3: But he's been a loose stare. That's even worse loose stare.
- 4:22Speaker 3: It's nothing.
- 4:23Speaker 1: We've got plenty of guys that, like Raj has been
- 4:26Speaker 1: to loose staret.
- 4:27Speaker 3: That's nothing like twice. Yeah, that's true.
- 4:29Speaker 1: We found out recently Jerry Caldwell, who works on the
- 4:32Speaker 1: show with us as well. He he went to jail
- 4:36Speaker 1: at Highland Park and you know who his cellmate was?
- 4:38Speaker 1: Who can Jerry Jones?
- 4:40Speaker 3: Really? Yeah, this was way way back.
- 4:43Speaker 1: We had to google this story to find out to
- 4:45Speaker 1: verify it. Uh the one It was back when there
- 4:48Speaker 1: was a misunderstanding with Jerry Jones in Highland Park what
- 4:53Speaker 1: was it, tray, He's like it was supposed to be,
- 4:55Speaker 1: like he was supposed to be getting a ticket, but
- 4:56Speaker 1: then he left the scene and it was a misunderstanding.
- 4:59Speaker 1: But between him and the officer. This was like nineteen
- 5:02Speaker 1: I remember two or something random. But yeah, when Jerry got,
- 5:08Speaker 1: you know, picked up for whatever it was. He got
- 5:10Speaker 1: picked up to get a warrant for no registration or something,
- 5:13Speaker 1: Nonsen and his cell made is in Jerry Jones. That's hysterical,
- 5:17Speaker 1: that's funny. I would love to see them had one
- 5:19Speaker 1: of yours shows members go to federal in prison or
- 5:23Speaker 1: I don't know, actually die.
- 5:25Speaker 3: I take it back. I take it back when I.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Sat because I could keep going. We've had other people
- 5:29Speaker 1: that were hangers onto the show that are also in prison.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Yeah listen, okay, fine, you win. I've had a pretty
- 5:35Speaker 2: good staff for the most part. I mean, who's prison
- 5:38Speaker 2: not yeah, jail, So you're right, and everybody, everybody for
- 5:42Speaker 2: the most part still, And.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I think that's one of the reasons why they pay
- 5:45Speaker 1: him so littles, because they know that it's part of
- 5:47Speaker 1: his work.
- 5:47Speaker 5: Release.
- 5:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:48Speaker 2: No, well, at one point I did have to pick
- 5:50Speaker 2: him up for work release and then drop him back
- 5:52Speaker 2: off after the show. I did so, and I would
- 5:55Speaker 2: have to give shoutouts to get his commentary and his
- 5:58Speaker 2: stuff like that. The guards would ask for the guards
- 6:00Speaker 2: tickets back in the day to shows so you could
- 6:03Speaker 2: like eat and stuff, and I get beat up.
- 6:05Speaker 1: The other side thing is is that Pooh probably made
- 6:07Speaker 1: more money hourly doing trash pick up on the side
- 6:10Speaker 1: of seventy five than he did working for you.
- 6:12Speaker 3: Oh, he definitely does. He did. Yeah, no, I'm not
- 6:14Speaker 3: gonna argue with that.
- 6:16Speaker 2: I have to pay out Poo on the side to
- 6:17Speaker 2: do other things because I know he's gonna make his money.
- 6:19Speaker 2: I'm like, listen, okay, fine, I told him to start
- 6:21Speaker 2: an only fans page, but that's just me.
- 6:24Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 6:24Speaker 1: I think I think he would do really well with
- 6:26Speaker 1: with poo feet.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Oh yeah, oh no, That's what I'm saying. People have
- 6:29Speaker 2: finishes when it comes to even nasty ass feet, So
- 6:32Speaker 2: he would do fine.
- 6:33Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Uh no, I'm giving you a hard time back as
- 6:36Speaker 1: far as he's had a harder because we've you know,
- 6:39Speaker 1: working in radio for any stretch of time, dude, Yeah,
- 6:42Speaker 1: you've you've had it hard. It might just not always
- 6:44Speaker 1: be in the same way, but no one's there have
- 6:46Speaker 1: been very few people that have had an easy radio path.
- 6:50Speaker 2: No, and honestly I have had it. I'm pretty knock
- 6:53Speaker 2: on all the wood and stuff. As far as like
- 6:56Speaker 2: the way things have happened in this industry, I don't complain,
- 6:59Speaker 2: so I apologize now. I feel now. I feel like
- 7:03Speaker 2: I could send you a bottle of booze or something
- 7:05Speaker 2: to make.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Up for it.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Oh, sure, send send me, send me a bottle of
- 7:09Speaker 1: the thing that killed one of the.
- 7:11Speaker 3: Previous guys on the show. Matter of fact. No, see,
- 7:14Speaker 3: now you're making me feel even worse.
- 7:16Speaker 2: I found a bottle that you asked hit the bleep
- 7:19Speaker 2: button asked, gave me for my birthday, and it was
- 7:23Speaker 2: a bottle of vodka and it says hey from you, Trey,
- 7:27Speaker 2: and then Russ signed it says I hope this gets
- 7:29Speaker 2: you diarrhea. I just found it the other day and
- 7:33Speaker 2: I'm like, okay, I'll keep this, but wow, what an
- 7:35Speaker 2: a hole?
- 7:37Speaker 1: Ironically, Yeah, Well, as I said before, we are glad
- 7:42Speaker 1: to have you. We're glad to see that you have
- 7:44Speaker 1: stayed strong in Dallas radio. Yep, Unlike unlike so many
- 7:48Speaker 1: others over the years. So we we congratulate you. And
- 7:54Speaker 1: and while we've got you on the digital side of things,
- 7:58Speaker 1: we still do things radio style here.
- 8:01Speaker 6: No.
- 8:01Speaker 3: I like that.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Yeah, because and we haven't really made an official announcement
- 8:05Speaker 1: on this, but I'll just mention it casually because we
- 8:07Speaker 1: actually are on the.
- 8:08Speaker 3: Radio right now.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Okay, we are on one of Here's the thing is,
- 8:12Speaker 1: I'm gonna get an email. I'm gonna get an email
- 8:14Speaker 1: for you better say the point. I don't know if
- 8:16Speaker 1: we're suposed to say the point or not. It's brown
- 8:20Speaker 1: Wood Rocks. It's what's known in the radio biz as
- 8:23Speaker 1: an Austin room shot, which means just outside of the
- 8:25Speaker 1: Austin market, Brownwood, Texas. We're on the new rock station
- 8:30Speaker 1: down there, one oh three point five the X, or
- 8:32Speaker 1: maybe it's one o three five the X.
- 8:34Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Like I said, I'll get an email and probably get
- 8:37Speaker 1: in trouble and probably end.
- 8:38Speaker 3: Up fired or in or in prison. Either way, that's awesome.
- 8:42Speaker 3: Congratulations because that's you say. You deserve to be honce.
- 8:45Speaker 3: You guys are great. I love it. Yeah.
- 8:46Speaker 1: I think the moniker on the station though, is halfway
- 8:49Speaker 1: to Huntsville.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Oh cool, that sounds like an awesome country song too.
- 8:55Speaker 2: I think that is, isn't it. It should be if
- 8:56Speaker 2: it's not. If it's not, it needs to be.
- 8:58Speaker 3: It does need to be.
- 9:00Speaker 1: But that the thing, the thing you have to ask,
- 9:01Speaker 1: is it sort of like glass half empty half full?
- 9:04Speaker 1: If you're halfway to Huntsville? Does that mean you're headed
- 9:07Speaker 1: to Huntsville or away from it? I would say that's
- 9:09Speaker 1: probably a bad thing. I would say it's a bad thing.
- 9:12Speaker 4: I mean that sounds like that could have been the
- 9:13Speaker 4: subtitle of the Russ Martin Show.
- 9:15Speaker 3: Yeah, true, sounds so true. That would be your moniker
- 9:21Speaker 3: for the old show for sure. Sadly Yeah, yeah, sad
- 9:26Speaker 3: but true?
- 9:27Speaker 1: Which yeah that it actually it makes sense. It absolutely
- 9:31Speaker 1: makes sense. There's no doubt about it.
- 9:33Speaker 3: It does.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Speaking of something that that does not make sense, That
- 9:38Speaker 1: is whether or not you can let your kids go
- 9:41Speaker 1: anywhere outside by themselves any more. That's coming up next
- 9:45Speaker 1: right here inside the treehouse.

- 11:48Speaker 1: now along with Trey Trenholm. I'm Dan A Mally and
- 11:50Speaker 1: our very special guest this morning. You'lly the kid from
- 11:54Speaker 1: the almost New next point nine And he.
- 11:58Speaker 3: Said the point show off happy to be here.
- 12:01Speaker 1: And emphasized it. Yes, the almost New mixed one a
- 12:04Speaker 1: two point nine morning show. Billy, the kid has the
- 12:10Speaker 1: nanny steak gone too far. I think this will be interesting,
- 12:14Speaker 1: especially to have you answer this, Billy, because you are
- 12:18Speaker 1: in fact a father while keeping in mind how old is?
- 12:21Speaker 3: How old is your son?
- 12:22Speaker 4: Now?
- 12:22Speaker 3: Thirteen? Now? Jesus God, Jesus, I know, I out tell
- 12:27Speaker 3: me about it. I yeah, yeah.
- 12:29Speaker 1: It's one thing because like Tray, you feel old because
- 12:32Speaker 1: you remember when.
- 12:33Speaker 4: Because I am all right. In addition to that, I'll
- 12:38Speaker 4: tell you how old I listen one of my bartenders
- 12:42Speaker 4: that come in and he's talking about the new arcade, like,
- 12:49Speaker 4: uh go kart place called Andrettes. It's in the colony. Yeah,
- 12:56Speaker 4: I walk right in, and he goes, because it's amazing.
- 13:00Speaker 4: It's like you just walk in it swow, he goes.
- 13:02Speaker 4: I bet it was like you know, if you were
- 13:03Speaker 4: in the eighties and you walked into arcade, you'd feel
- 13:05Speaker 4: the same way. I'm like, and I'm like, I just
- 13:07Speaker 4: asked me. I can actually tell you about the eighties.
- 13:10Speaker 3: I was there. I was there.
- 13:13Speaker 1: You you are the you are the persona you were
- 13:15Speaker 1: actually instead of him putting on the headphones at the museum,
- 13:18Speaker 1: you just showed.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Up and started talking to him.
- 13:20Speaker 1: He might have thought you were a hologram at the museum.
- 13:23Speaker 4: I'm the dinosaur narrating.
- 13:27Speaker 1: My name is Drey and I grew up in the
- 13:30Speaker 1: eighties and we used things called tokens.
- 13:33Speaker 3: Wow, tell us more, Grandpa, Jesus. I mean, like, think
- 13:41Speaker 3: about that.
- 13:41Speaker 2: My son the other day he goes, wow, Dad, I
- 13:44Speaker 2: can't believe you were born in the nineteen hundreds.
- 13:48Speaker 1: We saw that there was a story like that the
- 13:50Speaker 1: other day where it was people saying that kids told
- 13:53Speaker 1: them they were old based on certain things. Yeah, and
- 13:56Speaker 1: one of them was like a ten year old telling
- 13:58Speaker 1: an adult you were born in the nineteen hundreds.
- 14:01Speaker 3: Oh my god, you're old.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Oh I hate seeing those memes that say, weren't the
- 14:05Speaker 2: same amount of distance from nineteen eighty five as we
- 14:08Speaker 2: were from nineteen sixty. I'm like, shut the hell up,
- 14:11Speaker 2: talk about instant anxiety when I realize I'm that old.
- 14:14Speaker 2: But I think this story that you're going to talk
- 14:15Speaker 2: about where you can leave your kids do whatever, I
- 14:17Speaker 2: think I saw this story and I'm curious if it's
- 14:19Speaker 2: the same one you probably did.
- 14:21Speaker 1: I mean, we're I mean, if we're being honest, we're
- 14:24Speaker 1: morning show Campadre, so we're going to see a lot
- 14:25Speaker 1: of the same stuff.
- 14:26Speaker 3: Oh I love it.
- 14:27Speaker 1: But so, Trey, here's the thing. This is how, in
- 14:29Speaker 1: addition to you being old, this is also how you
- 14:31Speaker 1: know you're old. Is when we talked to Billy the
- 14:33Speaker 1: Kid about his son. You remember when Billy's kid was born, right,
- 14:38Speaker 1: I predate that not only did I know Billy and
- 14:43Speaker 1: his wife before their kid was born, I knew Billy.
- 14:48Speaker 1: I actually knew Billy's baby mama before Billy did. Yeah,
- 14:54Speaker 1: she and I worked together at a different spot before
- 14:57Speaker 1: Trey before Billy even met her.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I can't believe that I almost forgot
- 15:02Speaker 2: about That's how old I am.
- 15:04Speaker 3: I'm starting to forget about those things exactly. Wow. So
- 15:07Speaker 3: there you go, Tray.
- 15:08Speaker 1: So you feel a little old knowing Billy's son for
- 15:13Speaker 1: as long as you have, which his entire life.
- 15:14Speaker 3: But I actually knew Billy's son when he was still
- 15:16Speaker 3: at Billy's bowl.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Yeah, luckily I didn't see him.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:22Speaker 2: No, you actually knew me when I was an actual kid,
- 15:25Speaker 2: I think. Yeah, for the most part, I think I
- 15:27Speaker 2: was like eight nineteen or something. Twenty Yeah. How long
- 15:32Speaker 2: ago was country Girl? You're oh God? A song that
- 15:36Speaker 2: I put out, country Girl, I was like twenty three
- 15:39Speaker 2: five before. I think I wrote it in three or something.
- 15:42Speaker 2: I think it came out in like three. Yeah, no
- 15:44Speaker 2: it did. It came out O three or something right
- 15:47Speaker 2: around there.
- 15:47Speaker 3: I don't know. See, it's all blending together.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Point is we're all old. And I asked a question
- 15:52Speaker 1: to start out, is the nanny state? Is the nanny state?
- 15:56Speaker 1: Has it gone too far? Because a mom in rural
- 15:59Speaker 1: Georgia is now facing charges after her ten year old
- 16:04Speaker 1: son walked into town alone all right.
- 16:08Speaker 3: Are you ready for more details? Trey, I am.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Her name is Britney Patterson. Her son's name is Soren
- 16:13Speaker 1: sor E n Okay, and he actually turned eleven after
- 16:18Speaker 1: his mom got arrested. So when mom got arrested for
- 16:21Speaker 1: him walking to town, he was ten. He just turned eleven.
- 16:23Speaker 1: They have a farm outside the small town of Mineral
- 16:26Speaker 1: Bluff near the Tennessee border. Only a few hundred people
- 16:30Speaker 1: live in this area now. On October thirtieth, Britney took
- 16:33Speaker 1: her other kid to a doctor's appointment and thought Soren,
- 16:36Speaker 1: the ten year old, was playing in the woods on
- 16:39Speaker 1: the farm, but instead he'd actually decided to walk into
- 16:43Speaker 1: town without telling anyone. And that's when a random woman
- 16:47Speaker 1: saw him on the side of the road where the
- 16:48Speaker 1: speed limit is only thirty five and she asked if
- 16:52Speaker 1: he was okay. He said, yeah, I'm fine, but she
- 16:54Speaker 1: called the police. Anyway, Britney got a call from police
- 16:57Speaker 1: letting her know they'd picked him up. They said he
- 17:00Speaker 1: could have been hit by a car or kidnapped, but
- 17:02Speaker 1: she didn't think it was that big of a deal.
- 17:04Speaker 1: She says he's plunging mature enough. She gave him a
- 17:07Speaker 1: talking to a home, and that was really about it.
- 17:09Speaker 1: But then later that night police shall back up to
- 17:11Speaker 1: arrest her and they cuffed her in front of her
- 17:14Speaker 1: three kids. They charged her with reckless conduct and released
- 17:17Speaker 1: her on five hundred dollars bail, which, as a single
- 17:20Speaker 1: mom of three kids, I'm sure she can't wait to
- 17:21Speaker 1: pay for that. Then child Services came out the next
- 17:24Speaker 1: day for a welfare check. They ended up suggesting the
- 17:27Speaker 1: charges might be dropped if she agreed to sign something
- 17:30Speaker 1: that said another adult would be a safety person and
- 17:34Speaker 1: keep an eye on the ten.
- 17:35Speaker 3: Year old boy when she's not home.
- 17:37Speaker 1: She'd also have to put an app on his phone
- 17:40Speaker 1: to track his location. She refused and instead hired an attorney.
- 17:45Speaker 2: That's ridiculous. Good, I'm glad she got an attorney. Let
- 17:48Speaker 2: that kid roam around. We all did that.
- 17:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Now here's here's the kicker. If the state of Georgia
- 17:53Speaker 1: decides to pursue the charges Britney, the mom could face
- 17:57Speaker 1: a one thousand dollars fine and up to a year
- 18:00Speaker 1: are in jail. Just imagine all the trouble that ten
- 18:02Speaker 1: year old boy could get into if mom's in jail
- 18:04Speaker 1: for a year.
- 18:05Speaker 3: Oh god, these kids are so we're so soft nowadays.
- 18:08Speaker 2: Let that kid get lost, let him eat some red dye,
- 18:12Speaker 2: let him live his best life.
- 18:13Speaker 3: Don't put that mom in jail. The mom's trying her best.
- 18:16Speaker 1: That's stupid, especially when last time she left him he
- 18:20Speaker 1: was on the property playing in the woods by himself.
- 18:25Speaker 1: And he's the one that went to town by himself
- 18:27Speaker 1: without telling anybody.
- 18:28Speaker 2: Send him to Juvie and soorn. He's bound to be
- 18:33Speaker 2: in jail anyway at some point.
- 18:35Speaker 1: It's especially in his prison nickname.
- 18:41Speaker 3: Yes exactly. I thought that.
- 18:44Speaker 4: Yes, having spent a lot of my formative years in
- 18:49Speaker 4: the country, it's just you don't think twice about stuff
- 18:53Speaker 4: like that. I mean, hell, typically the next house, you know,
- 18:57Speaker 4: the closest house to you is going to be a
- 18:59Speaker 4: half mile away.
- 19:00Speaker 1: And my family, that's how it was when I was,
- 19:03Speaker 1: when I was around that age, when I was, you know,
- 19:05Speaker 1: from birth to age nine, our next door neighbors were
- 19:08Speaker 1: about an eighth of a mile away, and it was
- 19:11Speaker 1: my dad's parents.
- 19:13Speaker 3: Oh wow. See, I mean, I'm.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Sure coyote could have gotten me between you know, our
- 19:17Speaker 1: house and theirs, but I think I would have fought
- 19:19Speaker 1: him off.
- 19:19Speaker 2: I think you'd have been fine. But I mean at ten,
- 19:21Speaker 2: you would have fought him off. But I mean I
- 19:22Speaker 2: grew up in the city, and nobody would have even stopped.
- 19:24Speaker 2: If they saw a ten year old roaming around. It
- 19:26Speaker 2: would have been like, okay, cool, who cares.
- 19:29Speaker 3: And that's what the weird part to me the story
- 19:31Speaker 3: is that somebody saw the kid and stop like something
- 19:34Speaker 3: was wrong.
- 19:35Speaker 2: My son's thirteen. He's roaming around. They don't know where
- 19:38Speaker 2: unless they know the kid. How do they even know
- 19:39Speaker 2: where he's you know what I mean? I would have
- 19:41Speaker 2: been like, fine, whatever, let that kid roam around in
- 19:43Speaker 2: the woods. Maybe I'm an egg hole.
- 19:45Speaker 4: I bet everyone in the town hates the woman that
- 19:46Speaker 4: called the police.
- 19:48Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, get a life, go get the hobby.
- 19:53Speaker 1: I keep thinking about it. Also, it's like this kid,
- 19:55Speaker 1: you know, he went to town on his own and walking.
- 19:57Speaker 1: He's walking someplace.
- 19:59Speaker 3: He's just out. Yeah, good for him. Remember we weren't
- 20:02Speaker 3: even allowed to go inside. It's kids. I would walk
- 20:04Speaker 3: down that if I came inside.
- 20:05Speaker 1: Like daylight hours, your ass was outside. You could come
- 20:08Speaker 1: inside for lunch or maybe to rehydrate if you were allowed. Otherwise,
- 20:12Speaker 1: you you got water out of the hose out there.
- 20:14Speaker 3: Yeah, out of the carcinogen hose, the hot cancer hose.
- 20:17Speaker 3: It was like you remember, the first fifteen seconds of
- 20:20Speaker 3: that was just melted plastic water.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Absolutely, it was sun it was a Sunflare delivery system.
- 20:27Speaker 3: It's just hot, and you're like, oh, and you're still
- 20:29Speaker 3: drinking it. And it was a neighbor's hose. Sometimes it
- 20:31Speaker 3: wasn't even your hose. They were just drinking on some
- 20:34Speaker 3: random hose that was just sitting on the ground in
- 20:38Speaker 3: the dirt. You didn't care. You were like, fine, look
- 20:40Speaker 3: at us, we survived. We're fine.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, we're all totally fine.
- 20:48Speaker 3: Sucking on the neighbor's hose. Yeah, we're great.

- 21:39Speaker 1: along with special guest this morning, Billy the Kid from
- 21:42Speaker 1: the All New Mix one or two point nine Morning
- 21:46Speaker 1: Show and Alice. So now that we've somewhat given an
- 21:51Speaker 1: answer to if the nanny state has gone too far,
- 21:54Speaker 1: there's another interesting tidbit that I wanted to throw at
- 21:57Speaker 1: you guys today.
- 21:58Speaker 3: And that is.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Last week, I didn't know it existed, but a place
- 22:03Speaker 1: where I definitely don't ever want to be found dead,
- 22:07Speaker 1: and that was the guy that got found dead inside
- 22:12Speaker 1: of a Walmart.
- 22:13Speaker 3: As if that'd be you know, that's not bad enough.
- 22:15Speaker 1: A walk in oven at a Walmart?
- 22:18Speaker 3: Oh god?
- 22:19Speaker 1: Yeah, So he was found dead inside of a walk
- 22:21Speaker 1: in oven inside of a Walmart. Don't know if that's
- 22:23Speaker 1: what killed him or he just died in there and
- 22:24Speaker 1: that's where he's found him. But now I've got now
- 22:26Speaker 1: there is a new location that I can add to
- 22:29Speaker 1: my list of last places on Earth that I want
- 22:31Speaker 1: to be found dead. Okay, and kind of like the
- 22:37Speaker 1: walk in oven at Walmart, they're both bad.
- 22:41Speaker 3: Okay.
- 22:42Speaker 1: So imagine you get found dead inside of a Planet Fitness.
- 22:48Speaker 3: Oh no, did that happen?
- 22:52Speaker 1: Now imagine not only you're found dead inside of a
- 22:55Speaker 1: Planet Fitness. But you're found dead inside of a tanning
- 22:58Speaker 1: bed inside of Planet Fitness.
- 23:00Speaker 3: What are you ready for me? Are you ready for
- 23:03Speaker 3: the third tier of terrible on this? No?
- 23:07Speaker 1: You're found dead inside of a Planet Fitness inside of
- 23:11Speaker 1: a tanning bed after three days?
- 23:15Speaker 2: Oh god, the smell, yeah, Planet Fitness already, the stench
- 23:22Speaker 2: is already like you know, crotch sweat, much less someone
- 23:27Speaker 2: dead in the tanning salon.
- 23:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:30Speaker 1: A man's body was found three days after he died
- 23:33Speaker 1: in a tanning bed inside of an Indianapolis Planet Fitness.
- 23:37Speaker 1: Authorities say there was a needle found inside the room
- 23:41Speaker 1: with him, and I did a little research on it.
- 23:43Speaker 1: His family did say he did have the history of
- 23:45Speaker 1: a drug problem. Now this is from Elizabeth Lynn. She
- 23:50Speaker 1: was at the gym before authorities got there, and this
- 23:53Speaker 1: is this is what she said.
- 23:54Speaker 3: She witnessed, Hey.
- 23:57Speaker 8: Everything's You're gonna go to a gym on a Monday
- 23:59Speaker 8: morning and you know, potentially be in this hime building
- 24:02Speaker 8: as a dead body.
- 24:03Speaker 3: And I was kind of like sniffing.
- 24:04Speaker 8: Trying not to look crazy, but I was like, something
- 24:07Speaker 8: smelled really awful here the first and that kind of
- 24:09Speaker 8: went off in my head was, you know, lack of
- 24:11Speaker 8: attention from the staff member. It's that point of Finnis,
- 24:14Speaker 8: which is pretty disappointing because maybe it could have been prevented.
- 24:18Speaker 8: And the tanning bed has a door, I believe, but
- 24:21Speaker 8: still like, why are we not concerned that the door
- 24:24Speaker 8: has been closed three days in a rowe potentially?
- 24:28Speaker 1: So now I'm a little confused and I can't find
- 24:30Speaker 1: the answer to this, which is maybe, like you guys,
- 24:33Speaker 1: when I hear tanning bed, I think the light, the
- 24:35Speaker 1: lay down tanning bed. You know, she mentioned the door
- 24:38Speaker 1: and stuff, so maybe she's talking about like the spray
- 24:40Speaker 1: tan chamber. That's one where you stand up in it,
- 24:43Speaker 1: or is it? No, I worked at a tanning salon, Dan,
- 24:46Speaker 1: this is the one. This is my only real job,
- 24:48Speaker 1: and that wasn't even a real job before radio. I
- 24:50Speaker 1: worked at a tanning salon. So and I almost killed someone.
- 24:53Speaker 1: I accidentally put her in for twenty eight minutes when
- 24:55Speaker 1: it was supposed to be in for eight minutes.
- 24:57Speaker 3: Oh so I burned her a little bit. I almost
- 25:01Speaker 3: killed her, yes, but she survived, didn't die. Now, what
- 25:05Speaker 3: they're talking about is there's little individual rooms that you
- 25:08Speaker 3: go into and then tan, so I think the room
- 25:10Speaker 3: the door was closed to the individual room, and then
- 25:12Speaker 3: he was laying down in the which, lets be real,
- 25:15Speaker 3: the tanning beds are borderline coffins anyway. Yeah, so he's
- 25:19Speaker 3: in the bed and he dies, and everybody's like, well,
- 25:21Speaker 3: the door's closed, somebody's in there, so whatever, we just
- 25:24Speaker 3: never check it. And then he just sits there for
- 25:25Speaker 3: three days and smells a lotion, lotion and death. I
- 25:28Speaker 3: don't know what he smelled like in tans. Let's answer
- 25:33Speaker 3: that question.
- 25:34Speaker 1: Thank you, Like, is it an anxiety thing, Like he
- 25:37Speaker 1: felt the need to get high before getting into the
- 25:39Speaker 1: tanning bed because he's worried about it because it looked
- 25:41Speaker 1: kind of like a coffin, which is a bad idea
- 25:43Speaker 1: because if you do it wrong, you're gonna od and
- 25:44Speaker 1: die in which you are now. So there you go,
- 25:46Speaker 1: at least your tan. Yeah, you'll leave a good looking corpse.
- 25:50Speaker 2: You're glowing. Look at you. I wonder if you had
- 25:52Speaker 2: one of those little Playboy stickers on that girls used
- 25:54Speaker 2: to put on before right there at his hip. Just like,
- 26:01Speaker 2: make sure you pull his pants on a little bit
- 26:03Speaker 2: at the funeral so they can see that. Yeah, sorry,
- 26:06Speaker 2: whatever your name is I apologize that's bad.
- 26:08Speaker 4: Sure, after three days the ears were sagging.
- 26:11Speaker 3: Oh man, god see I but it looked good.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Yeah, well, and isn't isn't Planet Fitness where they do
- 26:22Speaker 1: like pizza parties at the gym.
- 26:24Speaker 3: I'm gonna throw up, Yes, No, I think so, I think.
- 26:28Speaker 1: Yeah, so I think that would explain why you didn't
- 26:31Speaker 1: smell someone rotting in the gyms, because you're smelling the
- 26:35Speaker 1: pizza party first.
- 26:36Speaker 2: So what else matters? So there's a dead body, but
- 26:41Speaker 2: there's free pepperoni pizza. I'll go there right now. I
- 26:49Speaker 2: found a dead body, though, the smell of a dead
- 26:51Speaker 2: body is the worst smell ever. Ever, The smell of
- 26:55Speaker 2: a dead body's got to be the worst thing ever.
- 26:57Speaker 1: Was it the girl that you left in for thirty minutes?
- 26:59Speaker 2: No, no, she survived. It was the other girl who No,
- 27:02Speaker 2: I'm just kidding. My mom and I found our neighbor
- 27:06Speaker 2: dead when oh, yeah.
- 27:08Speaker 3: After how long?
- 27:09Speaker 2: Oh like a week, like oh, good, solid week. I
- 27:12Speaker 2: mean you could smell it coming out the door and
- 27:14Speaker 2: we didn't know what was going on. We opened the
- 27:15Speaker 2: door and there she was, and I was like, oh
- 27:18Speaker 2: and I ran out. My mom screamed, and yeah, but
- 27:21Speaker 2: I mean she just overdosed or something. It was, you know, nack,
- 27:24Speaker 2: it was something like that, but she was just sitting there.
- 27:25Speaker 2: I'll never forget the way that smell. Yeah, the smell
- 27:29Speaker 2: of death is inescapable. And when you smell it, and
- 27:31Speaker 2: you've never smelled it before, you'll know it's a different
- 27:34Speaker 2: type of smell. You may not be able to pinpoint
- 27:36Speaker 2: it as death, but you'll know it's different. But once
- 27:38Speaker 2: you've smelled that smell, yeah, you'll never forget it.
- 27:41Speaker 3: No, you can't. You can. I smell it almost talking
- 27:44Speaker 3: about I can smell.
- 27:45Speaker 1: It, and i'd see, like you, Billy, before you got
- 27:47Speaker 1: into radio, you worked at a tanning salon, And before
- 27:50Speaker 1: I got into radio, I actually worked at a gym.
- 27:53Speaker 3: Oh did you? Yeah?
- 27:55Speaker 1: And we didn't we didn't have the tanning beds, but
- 27:57Speaker 1: we did we did have a community hot tub.
- 27:59Speaker 3: Oh no, who cleaned that? Did anybody clean that? As
- 28:06Speaker 3: far as I know? No?
- 28:09Speaker 1: I think it might have been my job. But I
- 28:10Speaker 1: wasn't about to touch that.
- 28:11Speaker 3: Thing community hot tub.
- 28:14Speaker 2: I think I'd rather get in the tanning bed with
- 28:16Speaker 2: the dead guy.
- 28:20Speaker 1: And it wasn't like one of those inground jacuzzie types.
- 28:23Speaker 1: At like a public pool. No, it was like the
- 28:24Speaker 1: kind of hot tub, oh that you see at the
- 28:26Speaker 1: state fair for self for like three thousand dollars, like.
- 28:29Speaker 3: An above ground one.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Yeah, that's an above ground super bowl at the gym.
- 28:34Speaker 3: It's a swamp. What city was this in? Did you
- 28:39Speaker 3: work at? Oh? That was Arlington, Texas? Baby? Oh god, yeah,
- 28:42Speaker 3: baby Arlington swamp right there in the corner of a
- 28:45Speaker 3: strip mall where that gym was. Oh yeah.
- 28:48Speaker 1: And in the corner of that strip mall was the
- 28:50Speaker 1: back corner of the gym that had that had the
- 28:53Speaker 1: community's super Bowl, also known as the hot tub.
- 28:56Speaker 3: Surprised nobody died in that thing. I think some people did.
- 29:00Speaker 1: But the trick was if you just leave them in
- 29:02Speaker 1: it long enough, they eventually reduced down and you don't
- 29:05Speaker 1: notice anymore.
- 29:06Speaker 2: That is the good part about a hot tub. It'll
- 29:08Speaker 2: just kind of circulate through the pump.

- 30:05Speaker 4: Bill Go ahead, Tray Billy, you're from Detroit. Are you
- 30:08Speaker 4: still a Lions fan?
- 30:10Speaker 2: I mean, I'm about to be if the Cowboys don't
- 30:12Speaker 2: win games. The not the Cowboys are the Lions let
- 30:16Speaker 2: me down so much as a child, though that I
- 30:18Speaker 2: just could never I could never be a fan. I
- 30:20Speaker 2: was a Barry Sanders fan, but I'm like, I can't
- 30:23Speaker 2: get on board with the Lions, so I'm a Cowboys
- 30:25Speaker 2: fan even through this oh awful time.
- 30:28Speaker 1: It sounds to me then that you're just a fan
- 30:31Speaker 1: of disappointment, because you're a Lions fan as a kid
- 30:34Speaker 1: when they disappointed you, and as an adult you're a
- 30:37Speaker 1: Cowboys fan, which are doing nothing but disappointing you so exactly.
- 30:41Speaker 2: Now, that's what I do, is I gravitate towards disappointment
- 30:43Speaker 2: and everything in life.
- 30:48Speaker 1: I'm sure your girlfriend loves to hear that, don't.
- 30:50Speaker 2: We broke up, so, like I said, oh my god,
- 30:53Speaker 2: there's disappointment. You see, there's a theme here. Oh the
- 31:00Speaker 2: disappointment is everywhere.
- 31:02Speaker 1: I'd say, I'm sorry, but that turned into a really
- 31:04Speaker 1: good bunch of lines.
- 31:05Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying. So and I set you up
- 31:07Speaker 3: for it. You did.
- 31:08Speaker 1: I had no idea that worked up. Yeah, really really, at.
- 31:11Speaker 2: Least that someone's winning over here. It's not the cowboys,
- 31:13Speaker 2: but it's Dan with his.
- 31:15Speaker 3: It's me in the treehouse. Yeah, as long as you
- 31:17Speaker 3: feel good about life, because that's really all that matters.
- 31:20Speaker 1: Look, I've been through a lot of a lot of
- 31:21Speaker 1: nonsense and disappointment in the last handful of years.
- 31:24Speaker 3: I deserve a w thank you, Billy, got it. You're welcome.
- 31:28Speaker 3: I'm gonna get you up, yeah.
- 31:29Speaker 1: For to celebrate, I'm gonna get you a foam finger
- 31:31Speaker 1: with the number one on it that says disappointment.
- 31:34Speaker 3: Okay, good, I'll take it. I will rock that thing.
- 31:36Speaker 3: I'll want to tell you. What if you're looking for
- 31:38Speaker 3: something to do.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Uh, next Friday night, you can hang out with Trey,
- 31:42Speaker 1: who's also single. Trey uh now has Yeah, Tray. Tray
- 31:46Speaker 1: has his new Friday night routine down, and that is
- 31:49Speaker 1: putting together new office furniture that he found on TIMU
- 31:53Speaker 1: while he hangs out with his three pound Chihuahua and
- 31:56Speaker 1: his cat named Julius, who I now feel like since
- 31:59Speaker 1: the cat's name as Julius needs to sound like Samuel L.
- 32:02Speaker 3: Jackson in pulp fiction, you should. Yeah, listen, that's a
- 32:05Speaker 3: good Friday night right there. I don't know if I
- 32:07Speaker 3: can handle that all excitement.
- 32:08Speaker 1: But you know what, Yeah Trey is eased into it.
- 32:12Speaker 3: Good for you? Yeah, well you just jump right into it. It
- 32:14Speaker 3: might be traumatic for now. I need to listen.
- 32:15Speaker 2: I need to figure out my life before I just
- 32:17Speaker 2: go and start partying that hard.
- 32:18Speaker 1: But you know, before you hang out with Trey and
- 32:21Speaker 1: you bust out your own Alan wrench to put.
- 32:22Speaker 3: The I'll bring my own, bring your own Allan wrench.
- 32:26Speaker 3: All that's my Friday.
- 32:28Speaker 2: My Friday night is hanging out with my dog lately, anyway,
- 32:30Speaker 2: so I can relate.
- 32:31Speaker 3: I just don't put anything together it.
- 32:34Speaker 4: You should try it, and it takes it to the
- 32:36Speaker 4: next level.
- 32:36Speaker 3: Really, Okay, maybe I will. I'll get some t MoU
- 32:40Speaker 3: furniture and then my fat ass will probably break it. Awesome.
- 32:45Speaker 1: But the good news is you can find a replacement
- 32:47Speaker 1: really easily and also cheap, and now you know how
- 32:50Speaker 1: to put it together.
- 32:51Speaker 2: Yeah, perfect, all right, great, I feel better about my
- 32:53Speaker 2: life already.
- 32:54Speaker 3: Thanks Dan Good.
- 32:55Speaker 1: Here's here's another way in which you can feel better
- 32:57Speaker 1: about your life.
- 32:58Speaker 3: You're not a criminal. And what that means is we had.
- 33:03Speaker 1: One of our dear friends inside the treehouse Dallas County
- 33:06Speaker 1: Sheriff's Office or Dallas County Sheriff's Office, retired Captain Mark
- 33:11Speaker 1: Howard told us years ago. And it's true. He said
- 33:15Speaker 1: criminals are stupid, and we have more proof today. Okay,
- 33:21Speaker 1: a man in Texas tried to rob a family dollar
- 33:24Speaker 1: a while back, which that is probably your first indication
- 33:27Speaker 1: that criminals are stupid. Is why are you wasting your
- 33:29Speaker 1: time trying to rob a family dollar?
- 33:30Speaker 3: What are you doing?
- 33:33Speaker 1: I mean, would he turn his nose up at robbing
- 33:36Speaker 1: a ninety nine cent only store, not.
- 33:37Speaker 3: Even the Dollar General or the five below five below?
- 33:41Speaker 1: I could actually to me that makes sense because at
- 33:43Speaker 1: least a lot of that stuff in there's five or
- 33:45Speaker 1: ten bucks.
- 33:47Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, but still it's at least there's some substance there.
- 33:50Speaker 2: What are you going to get at that? You know,
- 33:51Speaker 2: the dollars come on.
- 33:53Speaker 1: Well, for him, nothing, So he went in to rob
- 33:58Speaker 1: a Family Dollar store and left with nothing because the clerk,
- 34:04Speaker 1: when the man told him give me all the money
- 34:06Speaker 1: and the register, the clerk told him, well, I can't
- 34:09Speaker 1: open the register unless you buy something. So the man
- 34:14Speaker 1: looked around at all the impulse buys thereby the register
- 34:17Speaker 1: and said, give me those nail clippers.
- 34:19Speaker 3: So he bought this.
- 34:20Speaker 2: See he said, okay, fine, just ring these up and
- 34:22Speaker 2: I'll pay you for them and they can give.
- 34:23Speaker 1: Me the So so the clerk at Family Dollar registers
- 34:28Speaker 1: the sale and the drawer opens up.
- 34:32Speaker 3: He closed the drawer too fast, so the guy didn't
- 34:35Speaker 3: get any of the money. Oh my god, let me
- 34:38Speaker 3: buy something else. That was what I That was my hope.
- 34:41Speaker 1: I was hoping that he would then like grab a
- 34:43Speaker 1: like a charging cord or something to go with his
- 34:47Speaker 1: nail clippers. But the employee shut the drawer too quickly,
- 34:50Speaker 1: so we couldn't get the money, and instead of buying
- 34:53Speaker 1: something else. He decided to give up and leave. So
- 34:56Speaker 1: after he did that, the clerk called the police. The
- 34:59Speaker 1: police were able to cut with him. Now he admitted
- 35:02Speaker 1: that he attempted to rob the family dollar. Now, he
- 35:06Speaker 1: told the clerk that he had a gun, but he
- 35:08Speaker 1: never showed it, so he was pretending to have a firearm.
- 35:12Speaker 1: So he also told police that, yeah, I was trying
- 35:14Speaker 1: to rob the family dollar.
- 35:16Speaker 3: I told him had a gun, but I didn't. But
- 35:18Speaker 3: I did get these nail clippers. What an idiot. He
- 35:21Speaker 3: was charged with robbery and resisting arrest.
- 35:24Speaker 1: I like to think that in resisting arrest he pushed
- 35:28Speaker 1: out that little little file function on the name right.
- 35:30Speaker 3: Oh that thing to be deadly. Oh yeah, you're really
- 35:33Speaker 3: gonna hurt a lot of people with the nail clippers.
- 35:36Speaker 2: Bro. The best would have been if he bought those
- 35:39Speaker 2: with his credit card, like and then they had information.
- 35:45Speaker 1: I mean, what happened to having ambition? I mean, even
- 35:48Speaker 1: as a criminal, Like you're not going to go down
- 35:52Speaker 1: as a famed criminal or like, I don't you know
- 35:56Speaker 1: you're not going to be known for anything. You're not
- 35:58Speaker 1: going to be famous. I mean, now you're going to
- 35:59Speaker 1: be famous, but for the wrong reasons. You're gonna go
- 36:01Speaker 1: to jail for the guy that couldn't even rob a
- 36:03Speaker 1: family dollar.
- 36:04Speaker 2: Just think about how many places you passed before you said, okay,
- 36:07Speaker 2: this is it. Like if we just walked outside, I
- 36:10Speaker 2: would rob anybody or anything before the Family dollar, McDonald's,
- 36:15Speaker 2: I'd rob that first. I'd rob it, way more successful,
- 36:18Speaker 2: way more money probably in the drawer the Family Dollar.
- 36:22Speaker 1: You're gonna get more money out of the Starbucks tip
- 36:24Speaker 1: jar than you are out of the entire store of
- 36:27Speaker 1: Family Dollar.
- 36:28Speaker 3: Yeah, one hundred percent. I mean, I've never robbed anybody
- 36:31Speaker 3: or anything, but if I'm not starting at Family Dollar, I.
- 36:34Speaker 4: Think they're the one place that would be worse than
- 36:36Speaker 4: the Family Dollar. Trying to rob a waffle house.
- 36:40Speaker 3: I was just about to say that, but listen, waffle
- 36:42Speaker 3: house makes money.
- 36:44Speaker 4: Yeah, but that their staff is you point a gun
- 36:49Speaker 4: at him, They're gonna be like, yeah, that's it in
- 36:50Speaker 4: the first time today.
- 36:51Speaker 3: Yeah that's true. Well you probably all have guns.
- 36:54Speaker 1: Yeah, you point a gun at a waftfall house employee,
- 36:56Speaker 1: they're gonna pull one out and say.
- 36:57Speaker 3: Now what, yeah, that's fair. Actually that's and then.
- 37:00Speaker 1: They'll probably take that gun and pointed at their fellow employee.
- 37:03Speaker 3: It says me, first, bitch, don't rob the waffle house.
- 37:07Speaker 3: That's probably the word.
- 37:08Speaker 1: Yeah, you don't rob the waffle house. Waffle house robs.
- 37:12Speaker 3: You of your insanity and dignity. But they're always open
- 37:17Speaker 3: the Treehouse.
- 37:21Speaker 5: Visit us online.
- 37:22Speaker 6: I'm Treehouse on Air dot com.
- 37:33Speaker 5: You're in the treehouse.
- 37:36Speaker 6: Listen us online at Treehouse on air dot com.
- 37:41Speaker 1: You can advertise right here inside the treehouse. Just shoot
- 37:44Speaker 1: us an email Treehouse on Air at gmail dot com.
- 37:47Speaker 1: That's Treehouse on Air at gmail dot com to advertise
- 37:51Speaker 1: right here inside the treouse.
- 37:54Speaker 3: Back inside the Treehouse now.
- 37:56Speaker 5: Uh.
- 37:56Speaker 1: Daniel Malley along with Trade, Trunhome and Billy the Kid
- 37:59Speaker 1: from the All New Mixed one two point nine Morning shows.
- 38:01Speaker 1: How many How long have you been doing the morning
- 38:03Speaker 1: show now on Mixed?
- 38:04Speaker 3: How long has it been a little over year? Yeah?
- 38:06Speaker 2: A little over year now? Well yeah, little yeah. I
- 38:08Speaker 2: think it started a year ago, about a year in
- 38:10Speaker 2: a couple of months, maybe a year and a half. Yeah,
- 38:12Speaker 2: maybe somewhere around there.
- 38:13Speaker 1: Yeah, because I remember I remember talking to you right
- 38:16Speaker 1: before you were set to kick it off, and I
- 38:20Speaker 1: just remember talking to you, know, telling you how happy
- 38:22Speaker 1: I was for you and how long overdo it was.
- 38:24Speaker 3: So I'm glad that.
- 38:26Speaker 1: I'm glad you finally get a crack at not having
- 38:29Speaker 1: sleep in your career.
- 38:30Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 38:30Speaker 3: I love it.
- 38:30Speaker 2: Love getting up at three thirty in the morning. It's fantastic.
- 38:33Speaker 2: It almost feels like it's not in morning, but it's
- 38:35Speaker 2: also not night. You don't know what day it is.
- 38:37Speaker 2: You're delirious about this time of the day, your body
- 38:40Speaker 2: shutting down.
- 38:40Speaker 3: It's great.
- 38:41Speaker 1: Yeah, and I think, go ahead try.
- 38:43Speaker 4: Oh have you experienced the what we used to call
- 38:49Speaker 4: like the Sunday afternoon dread? Like you're having a perfectly
- 38:52Speaker 4: good day and then all of a sudden, about three
- 38:54Speaker 4: o'clock you realize I have to be up at three
- 38:56Speaker 4: in the morning, and then the rest of the day's ruined.
- 38:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, you know two, it's it's like, I
- 39:00Speaker 2: also love what I do, so it's not the worst
- 39:02Speaker 2: case scenario, you know, but you do get that anxiety
- 39:05Speaker 2: of like getting up at three thirty. You almost have
- 39:08Speaker 2: to go to bed no later than nine to function.
- 39:10Speaker 2: So and in the summer, it's still light out, so
- 39:12Speaker 2: it's like, what am I doing? I'm going to bed?
- 39:14Speaker 2: It's still daylight. You got to do it.
- 39:17Speaker 1: It's a it's a very difficult life to navigate. And
- 39:24Speaker 1: it's interesting because Trey and I did it before you did,
- 39:27Speaker 1: so you got to see firsthand because we were all
- 39:30Speaker 1: in the same building at one point. You got to
- 39:31Speaker 1: see firsthand the zombie walk that me and Trey would
- 39:34Speaker 1: do every single morning.
- 39:37Speaker 3: It's rough, You're right.
- 39:39Speaker 1: As long as it's as long as it's doing something
- 39:41Speaker 1: that you love it, that part will be worth it.
- 39:44Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not digging ditches.
- 39:45Speaker 2: When I people call in and they're like, have real jobs,
- 39:48Speaker 2: and I'm always like, props to you, man, because I
- 39:50Speaker 2: feel like I'm okay, and they'll call in they're like,
- 39:52Speaker 2: oh yeah, I'm going to do this, and I'm like, okay,
- 39:55Speaker 2: you know what, that's a real job. I'm not going
- 39:57Speaker 2: to complain. And you know you've been doing for the
- 40:00Speaker 2: last minute complaining.
- 40:02Speaker 3: There you go.
- 40:03Speaker 1: Yep, all right, Today is Monday, November eighteen, twenty twenty four.
- 40:08Speaker 1: Let's celebrate the fact that we're not outside digging ditches.
- 40:11Speaker 1: And if that's what you're doing today, then it's Billy.
- 40:14Speaker 1: The kids that look down on you.
- 40:16Speaker 2: Hey, no, I'm saying thank you because I can't do it.
- 40:18Speaker 2: I would fail miserably.
- 40:20Speaker 1: Yeah, you don't want to see us on the side
- 40:22Speaker 1: of the road digging anything. No, Like we'll dig for
- 40:26Speaker 1: punchlines all morning. Yeah, sure, but if there's actual moving
- 40:29Speaker 1: earth stuff nowaday, you don't.
- 40:31Speaker 3: Want to know. Dude, I'm not manny, I'm not built
- 40:33Speaker 3: for it. We'll end up burying ourselves by accident. I'd
- 40:36Speaker 3: kill myself with heavy machinery. I would. I don't know
- 40:40Speaker 3: what I'm doing. I'm not a real man when it
- 40:41Speaker 3: comes to that kind of stuff.
- 40:43Speaker 1: So so you'd be better off if it was, you know,
- 40:45Speaker 1: just a shovel. I don't even know if I know
- 40:48Speaker 1: how to work one of those.
- 40:49Speaker 2: Oh, I mean I could dig something I'm saying, but
- 40:52Speaker 2: like you know, people calling it like if I you know,
- 40:55Speaker 2: you guys fixed stuff around your house.
- 40:56Speaker 3: I'm not that good at that stuff. It's just I'm
- 40:58Speaker 3: not good.
- 40:59Speaker 2: So I have to call like my neighbor if something
- 41:02Speaker 2: happens and I'm like, hey, can you come over and
- 41:03Speaker 2: look at my sink? And he's like, dude, it's just
- 41:06Speaker 2: all you do is clean the drain out the pea trap,
- 41:08Speaker 2: And I'm like.
- 41:09Speaker 3: Tell me how to do it. I don't do it. Well.
- 41:12Speaker 1: The irony there is is P Trap was Billy's nickname and.
- 41:15Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah in the early two thousand prison name that was.
- 41:22Speaker 3: That was Billy's DJ name. Yeah at the nightclub.
- 41:26Speaker 4: JP Trap our P Trap and Pooh. That's a hell
- 41:29Speaker 4: of a morning show.
- 41:30Speaker 2: Well that was I think, you know what, the new
- 41:33Speaker 2: Pea Trap and Pooh show all day.
- 41:35Speaker 3: I got that. I like it.
- 41:38Speaker 1: I would listen to that like I've got to like think,
- 41:40Speaker 1: like where where can I find that?
- 41:42Speaker 3: I'd like to listen It sounds like a winning podcast
- 41:44Speaker 3: right there, all right?
- 41:46Speaker 1: Like I said, today is Monday, November eighteen, twenty twenty four.
- 41:49Speaker 3: Birthdays today. TJ.
- 41:50Speaker 1: Osborne of Brothers Osbourne is forty today. Damon Wayans is
- 41:55Speaker 1: forty two. Damon Wayne's junior, I should say Damon Wayne's
- 41:58Speaker 1: junior is forty two. The original Damon Waynas is much
- 42:01Speaker 1: much older. Which, by the way, I heard just the
- 42:05Speaker 1: other day that Damon the Wayans family is going to
- 42:08Speaker 1: do another.
- 42:09Speaker 3: Scary movie film. I heard that again.
- 42:12Speaker 1: I forget how many that they've done, but the couple
- 42:15Speaker 1: that I've seen I thought were hysterical, especially the Glory
- 42:19Speaker 1: Whole death in the bathroom went at the movie theater.
- 42:21Speaker 1: I love that, so I hope I look forward.
- 42:25Speaker 3: To the next one.
- 42:26Speaker 2: All the old movies are coming back and making it,
- 42:28Speaker 2: you know all, but there's no new movies. It's all remakes,
- 42:31Speaker 2: which because they're all better than the new stuff that's
- 42:33Speaker 2: coming out.
- 42:34Speaker 3: Yeah. Other birthdays today.
- 42:36Speaker 1: David Ortiz, also known as Big Poppy Boston Red Sox Champion,
- 42:39Speaker 1: is forty nine. Chloe seventy is fifty today.
- 42:44Speaker 3: She's done a number of projects.
- 42:46Speaker 1: I most recently saw her as playing the mom in
- 42:50Speaker 1: The Menindez Brothers Show on Netflix. I first heard about
- 42:56Speaker 1: her as she was the one that actually performed a
- 43:01Speaker 1: sex act on a co star of a film called
- 43:04Speaker 1: Brown Bunny back in the day. And it just so
- 43:08Speaker 1: happened that the guy who was the actor was also
- 43:10Speaker 1: the writer and the director. So imagine sitting down one
- 43:12Speaker 1: day you're gonna write a film and you think, I
- 43:14Speaker 1: know what I can do. I can write this into
- 43:16Speaker 1: the script and see if she'll do it, And then
- 43:17Speaker 1: she did it.
- 43:18Speaker 3: Wow.
- 43:19Speaker 1: Now keep in mind she was also his girlfriend at
- 43:20Speaker 1: the time, but still it's all kind of weird.
- 43:22Speaker 3: Yeah, that is strange.
- 43:24Speaker 2: I don't know how people do that like if you
- 43:26Speaker 2: married to an actor or something and they haven't scene
- 43:28Speaker 2: like that.
- 43:28Speaker 1: No. Oh, I was just going to tell you what
- 43:31Speaker 1: you just couldn't kind of like open your mouth a
- 43:32Speaker 1: little bit.
- 43:32Speaker 2: Oh no, yeah, no, yeah no fans, well that either. No,
- 43:35Speaker 2: I'm good.
- 43:36Speaker 4: Now.
- 43:36Speaker 3: That's the worst visual I've ever seen.
- 43:38Speaker 1: Hire pretending not to know Pee Trap and Dan grabbed
- 43:43Speaker 1: his jaw when he did it.
- 43:44Speaker 3: That was disturbing.
- 43:46Speaker 1: Well, it just it's I mean, it's it's kind of
- 43:49Speaker 1: like the old reach toothbrush commercial.
- 43:53Speaker 3: I don't want to know about that.
- 43:56Speaker 1: I just I just think it's funny that your nickname
- 43:58Speaker 1: is Pee trapping it you don't know.
- 44:00Speaker 3: Hold on, I'm cool with Pete Trap. Don't save that
- 44:05Speaker 3: clip to wait.
- 44:11Speaker 1: If today's your birthday, Happy Birthday.
- 44:16Speaker 6: You're in Good tree House, visit us online at Treehouse
- 44:20Speaker 6: on Air dot com.
- 44:34Speaker 5: You're in Good tree House.
- 44:36Speaker 6: Visit us online at Treehouse on Air dot com.
- 44:43Speaker 1: Back inside the Treehouse now Daniel Malley along with Trade
- 44:46Speaker 1: Trenholm and today's special guest, Uh from the All New
- 44:50Speaker 1: Mix one or two point nine Mornings show in Dallas,
- 44:52Speaker 1: Billy the Kid from the Billy the Kids Show.
- 44:54Speaker 3: Are you calling It?
- 44:55Speaker 1: The Billy the Kids Show, the Billy the Kid Morning Show,
- 44:57Speaker 1: Billy Kid in the Morning, or they're like forty different names.
- 45:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 45:00Speaker 2: I like to go with the most amount of names
- 45:02Speaker 2: to make it real confusing. I think it's like the
- 45:04Speaker 2: Billy the Kids Show, but we also say Billy the
- 45:06Speaker 2: Kid in the Morning sometimes. But I don't know if
- 45:08Speaker 2: it really matters, you know, So I don't get too
- 45:10Speaker 2: hung up on that kind of stuff.
- 45:12Speaker 3: My boss will love to hear that. But you know,
- 45:15Speaker 3: who cares.
- 45:16Speaker 1: Do you have a billboard in Dallas that, like for
- 45:18Speaker 1: Mix one or two point nine, like in front or
- 45:21Speaker 1: next to a kiss billboard that says our kids alive?
- 45:24Speaker 3: No? No, First of all, we'd have money for billboards.
- 45:31Speaker 3: That's funny. There you go. That's the part of that.
- 45:35Speaker 3: We don't have marketing money. Are you kidding me?
- 45:37Speaker 1: We don't even have We can't We can't spend money
- 45:40Speaker 1: the market, let alone say something really horrific and insulting
- 45:43Speaker 1: on the billboard.
- 45:44Speaker 3: Right right, thank you?
- 45:46Speaker 1: And I say that only it's because we've we've been
- 45:48Speaker 1: in the similar position having lost people close to us
- 45:51Speaker 1: on the shows and on the station, so that that's
- 45:54Speaker 1: why not not to not to beat a pun to
- 45:57Speaker 1: death here twice. But I mean we all had our
- 46:03Speaker 1: our you know, our people die, and we've.
- 46:05Speaker 3: Had been through it.
- 46:06Speaker 1: We've been through it and and we deal with it
- 46:10Speaker 1: in different ways. And and mine is to call it
- 46:12Speaker 1: out and lean into it and make as much fun
- 46:14Speaker 1: of it as I possibly can because it makes me feel.
- 46:16Speaker 3: Better, which is what he would want.
- 46:19Speaker 1: Mm hmmm, I think, which actually I win either way
- 46:22Speaker 1: because even if it's what he wouldn't want, then it's
- 46:24Speaker 1: it's even funnier it's.
- 46:25Speaker 3: What you would want. Yeah, So that's you're keeping it real.
- 46:29Speaker 3: That's what matters. That's right, all right.
- 46:32Speaker 1: So there's one last thing I want to do before
- 46:34Speaker 1: we kick you out of the treehouse for today, Billy uh,
- 46:37Speaker 1: And that is is it possible that this is the
- 46:43Speaker 1: worst combo you have ever heard of? Is this the
- 46:47Speaker 1: worst combo you have ever heard of? I saw recently
- 46:52Speaker 1: that there is a nightclub in Vietnam and it's a
- 46:59Speaker 1: themed night club. And this themed nightclub in Vietnam is
- 47:04Speaker 1: Mister Bean themed, the old British TV show with Rowan
- 47:09Speaker 1: Atkinson who never speaks or anything. And this is an
- 47:12Speaker 1: old show. But I mean, I think we're all pretty
- 47:14Speaker 1: familiar with. I love mister Bean. I love Mister Bean,
- 47:17Speaker 1: but if I was going to open up a nightclub,
- 47:19Speaker 1: I certainly wouldn't make the theme of it Mister Bean.
- 47:22Speaker 1: But that's the case right now in Vietnam, and this
- 47:25Speaker 1: is kind of a trend in the in the bar industry,
- 47:28Speaker 1: and they'll do this in bars and Texas as well,
- 47:31Speaker 1: where they'll do themes. Right now, there's a lot of
- 47:33Speaker 1: holiday themed bars that are popping up. But this one
- 47:37Speaker 1: in Vietnam is a Mister Bean themed nightclub.
- 47:41Speaker 3: Why.
- 47:43Speaker 2: I mean, I like the themes, but I don't know
- 47:44Speaker 2: if I get that one. That's just a bizarre it
- 47:47Speaker 2: doesn't fit. But I mean, people, if you're obsessed with
- 47:50Speaker 2: the show, I guess you would go.
- 47:52Speaker 3: I guess so.
- 47:53Speaker 1: But when you think of TV shows a nightclub, Mister
- 47:55Speaker 1: Bean is certainly not the show that you would think
- 47:59Speaker 1: of a nightclub I would go to. However, I would
- 48:02Speaker 1: watch a Mister Bean show if he went to a
- 48:05Speaker 1: nightclub that I would watch funny, right, So, in the
- 48:09Speaker 1: spirit of a Mister Bean themed nightclub, hit the wrong button,
- 48:14Speaker 1: hang on uh. In in the spirit of a Mister
- 48:17Speaker 1: Bean themed nightclub, I have a treehouse top five for
- 48:21Speaker 1: you of other terrible mashups. Right, so, in addition to
- 48:28Speaker 1: the Mister Bean themed nightclub, if you want a terrible
- 48:31Speaker 1: mash up two things that don't go together, then why
- 48:33Speaker 1: not a Cheers themed alcoholic alcoholics anonymous meeting.
- 48:37Speaker 3: Okay, now that's fun.
- 48:40Speaker 1: Or perhaps a Golden Girls themed sports bar.
- 48:45Speaker 3: That would be huge.
- 48:47Speaker 2: Now I would go to that. See that's where you're
- 48:49Speaker 2: that's actually might be one of the.
- 48:51Speaker 1: Pretty good one. Okay, yeah, that's a good one. How
- 48:54Speaker 1: about a Stephen King's It themed daycare?
- 48:57Speaker 2: Okay, I wouldn't go there, wouldn't go there, Golden Girls
- 49:01Speaker 2: twin Peaks, I'm in.
- 49:03Speaker 1: What about a Cosby themed pharmacy?
- 49:05Speaker 3: No?

- 49:12Speaker 1: in honor of a mister in honor of the Mister
- 49:15Speaker 1: Bean themed nightclub, the in Living Color themed clan meeting.
- 49:21Speaker 9: No trying to give me canceled, just giving examples of
- 49:32Speaker 9: what would be bad ideas, and we're just saying this
- 49:34Speaker 9: would be a bad idea.
- 49:35Speaker 3: Trust me.
- 49:35Speaker 1: You don't want to see the stuff that I didn't
- 49:37Speaker 1: include that was like, okay, that's too short, I know.
- 49:40Speaker 3: Keep that off the list.
- 49:41Speaker 1: No, you don't want to go to the ed Gean
- 49:43Speaker 1: Clown School or the Jeffrey Dahmer meat Shop. Oh or
- 49:51Speaker 1: actually no, I guess it would be the Dahmer's cleaning services.
- 49:54Speaker 3: There you go. Yeah, no fans, but I'm in on
- 49:55Speaker 3: the Golden Girls. Start that. A little excited about that.
- 50:01Speaker 1: Actually, yeah, I know now that I'm thinking about it,
- 50:03Speaker 1: it's like I would go too.
- 50:06Speaker 3: That sounds like fun. We're going together.
- 50:10Speaker 4: It's sadly being single and fifty. I'm like, yeah, all right,
