- 0:11Speaker 1: Hi, this is Emma Caulfield and you're listening to Movie Meltdown.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Welcome to Movie Meltdown, my name is Misty.
- 0:28Speaker 3: This episode is rated m for misty yes that's right
- 0:31Speaker 3: this is a misty episode so it will be laced
- 0:33Speaker 3: with profanity even more than usual if you're not comfortable
- 0:37Speaker 3: with this level of profanity perhaps this isn't the episode
- 0:40Speaker 3: for you but we have many other episodes to choose
- 0:42Speaker 3: from that do not feature misty and will probably be
- 0:44Speaker 3: far less offensive okay maybe that having been said on
- 0:49Speaker 3: with the show It's showtime, folks. Enjoy the show.
- 1:05Speaker 4: Our nuclear reactor pumping out one million.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Kilowatts of power.
- 1:52Speaker 1: What's up and welcome to Movie Meltdown. I'm Brian.
- 1:54Speaker 2: I'm Misty.
- 1:56Speaker 1: And I'm Jay. And we're coming to you live via
- 1:58Speaker 1: digital recording from the internets. We've decided to come do
- 2:03Speaker 1: another hanging around watching a movie episode, Misty.
- 2:05Speaker 2: In the bastion of awesome.
- 2:07Speaker 1: The bastion of awesome.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Dirty ass kitchen right now because I did not clean it.
- 2:12Speaker 4: Bastion of messiness.
- 2:14Speaker 1: It's okay. We have the devil here. The mystic seer devil.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Creepy looking at us.
- 2:20Speaker 2: He's dirty too.
- 2:23Speaker 1: The devil is dirty. That's how the world works. So,
- 2:28Speaker 1: it's been a while. Have you seen anything lately? Uh, no.
- 2:31Speaker 4: Well, you watched the.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I was joking.
- 2:37Speaker 2: I haven't watched much. I mean, how far of a
- 2:40Speaker 2: span are we talking? Because I went and saw Deadpool
- 2:42Speaker 2: in the theaters the weekend that came out, but that's
- 2:44Speaker 2: been well over a month.
- 2:45Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, technically you've been here, but we just
- 2:48Speaker 1: were rocking out with Wham last time, so we didn't
- 2:51Speaker 1: really discuss your Deadpool feelings.
- 2:53Speaker 2: I liked that a great deal. I was kind of
- 2:55Speaker 2: leery going in, because I'm like, what if they put
- 2:57Speaker 2: all the good stuff in the trailer? I don't know.
- 2:59Speaker 1: I was pretty leery of the trailer myself.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Have you seen it yet?
- 3:01Speaker 1: I still haven't seen it yet. The trailer, again, I
- 3:05Speaker 1: watched the new, like, Red Band version trailer, and it
- 3:09Speaker 1: does look like at least there's more interesting stuff going on.
- 3:11Speaker 1: That first trailer, I was like, this could go either way.
- 3:14Speaker 2: The first trailer or the leaked footage?
- 3:17Speaker 1: No, the first trailer.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Okay, I don't remember which one it was.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Again, it started working in the jokey jokes, and I
- 3:21Speaker 1: was just like, these jokes could go really wrong, so.
- 3:25Speaker 1: I hear they go okay.
- 3:27Speaker 2: I was surprised that the entire thing from beginning to
- 3:30Speaker 2: end was entirely enjoyable. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. What
- 3:35Speaker 2: about you, boyfriend? Did you like this movie?
- 3:37Speaker 4: I liked it a lot.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Are you tired, too?
- 3:40Speaker 1: No.
- 3:40Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 3:44Speaker 2: I don't think anybody but Ryan Reynolds could have pulled
- 3:46Speaker 2: this off.
- 3:47Speaker 1: That's what he keeps telling us, too.
- 3:48Speaker 2: I know, right?
- 3:49Speaker 1: He's like, I'm gonna play a superhero. I've played it once.
- 3:53Speaker 1: It didn't turn out right. I played it again. It
- 3:55Speaker 1: didn't turn out right either. I'm going to keep hammering
- 3:58Speaker 1: at this until somebody makes me a useful superhero.
- 4:00Speaker 2: I think he was meant for this role. If ever
- 4:02Speaker 2: there was a role in all of the lands that
- 4:04Speaker 2: was meant for Ryan Reynolds, this was it.
- 4:06Speaker 1: I mean, it is hard for him to play a
- 4:08Speaker 1: serious superhero. Obviously, Green Lantern.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Which they also reference in the movie.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. Again, I think in that trailer they make
- 4:16Speaker 1: that joke, which I'm like, uh-oh, it's getting a little meta.
- 4:19Speaker 1: This could go wrong.
- 4:20Speaker 2: That's the whole thing about Deadpool is he is meta.
- 4:23Speaker 2: He breaks the fourth wall. He is, yeah. I mean,
- 4:25Speaker 2: that's the whole thing. And if you didn't have that,
- 4:27Speaker 2: it wouldn't be Deadpool. So to expect to not have
- 4:31Speaker 2: Deadpool-iness in a Deadpool movie because, oh, it's not going
- 4:34Speaker 2: to be done right. Well, you're just... Shut up. Because
- 4:37Speaker 2: it's just the way it is. Yeah, there's going to
- 4:38Speaker 2: be ridiculousness. Yes, there's going to be fourth wall breaking. Yes,
- 4:40Speaker 2: there's going to be callbacks to everything everything you know
- 4:45Speaker 2: but that's what makes it fun and that's what makes
- 4:46Speaker 2: it what it's supposed to be if they're doing it
- 4:49Speaker 2: right they did it right for me i'm not sure
- 4:52Speaker 2: if they'll be able to continue it or if it's
- 4:53Speaker 2: just gonna be one of those all right did it
- 4:56Speaker 2: once it was amazing if you do it again it's
- 4:58Speaker 2: gonna fuck it up you know.
- 5:00Speaker 1: But i mean that's it's a much larger mythology that
- 5:03Speaker 1: they're working him into obviously since they crammed x-men's in
- 5:06Speaker 1: there so i'm like Only.
- 5:08Speaker 2: The low-budget name ones. They couldn't get the big-budget names.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Again, because it's totally different universes, but technically the same universe,
- 5:16Speaker 1: but who owns who, so yeah, that's why. But, I mean,
- 5:19Speaker 1: kind of that same thing.
- 5:20Speaker 2: But Deadpool is still owned by the same ones that
- 5:22Speaker 2: own the X-Men, like all of them, so I don't understand.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Why they couldn't... Because they don't want to mess up
- 5:27Speaker 1: their other arc going on over here that has the
- 5:30Speaker 1: other ones in use.
- 5:31Speaker 4: Plus that's all they could afford.
- 5:34Speaker 2: But if it's owned by the same studio, how could
- 5:35Speaker 2: they not afford it?
- 5:36Speaker 4: But no, no, I think he actually, if I remember
- 5:39Speaker 4: correctly in the movie, he even makes a reference that
- 5:42Speaker 4: they're only able to afford Colossus and.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Negasonic Teenage Warhead.
- 5:48Speaker 3: Teenage Warhead.
- 5:50Speaker 1: The other movie's coming out soon.
- 5:52Speaker 4: Which I feel like a horrible.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Like.
- 5:54Speaker 4: When the hell did Negasonic Teenage Warhead come about? Because
- 6:00Speaker 4: I quit reading comic books.
- 6:04Speaker 4: Not that I quit reading them because I was just like, oh,
- 6:06Speaker 4: I'm above comic books.
- 6:08Speaker 1: I got busy. That was my reason.
- 6:10Speaker 4: Yeah, I started working and I didn't have time to
- 6:12Speaker 4: read any comic books. I was all of a sudden
- 6:15Speaker 4: thrust into this stupid adult world that I'm still in.
- 6:18Speaker 1: I went for like a year and a half and
- 6:20Speaker 1: kept buying the titles I always bought. I used to
- 6:23Speaker 1: go there every Tuesday or whatever and get the new
- 6:26Speaker 1: ones and like.
- 6:27Speaker 4: You would show up at Great Escape, and there went
- 6:29Speaker 4: your paycheck.
- 6:29Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, I need this one, this one, this one.
- 6:31Speaker 1: And I'd get them, and then I didn't get around
- 6:33Speaker 1: to them. But I'm like, oh, well, the new ones
- 6:35Speaker 1: are out this week. This one, this one, this one.
- 6:36Speaker 1: And I'd be like, I've still got stacks of them
- 6:38Speaker 1: that I don't think I ever got to. Because I'm
- 6:40Speaker 1: just like, I don't even have time to read a
- 6:42Speaker 1: comic book anymore. What the hell's going on with my life?
- 6:45Speaker 2: I wasn't really that big into comics until... I'm familiar
- 6:49Speaker 2: with Deadpool. I was kind of leery because of the
- 6:52Speaker 2: previous treatment in The Wolverine.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Yeah, I was really... No, it was just Wolverine's colon
- 6:58Speaker 1: origins or vice versa.
- 6:59Speaker 2: I can't remember which one's which.
- 7:01Speaker 4: See, I got excited when I heard that he was
- 7:03Speaker 4: going to be in that. And then when they did it,
- 7:05Speaker 4: they just fucked it all up. And I was like,
- 7:09Speaker 4: are you fucking kidding me?
- 7:10Speaker 1: It's like they weren't even trying on that. They were like,
- 7:12Speaker 1: what's the most wrong way we could do this?
- 7:14Speaker 4: Well, you know, somebody else got it in their head.
- 7:16Speaker 4: And they're like, oh, you know, we're going to update him.
- 7:18Speaker 4: And we're going to do all this cool stuff. And
- 7:20Speaker 4: instead of having swords... He's going to have blades that
- 7:22Speaker 4: come out of his hands.
- 7:23Speaker 2: And instead of being the merc with the mouth, we're
- 7:25Speaker 2: going to stitch his fucking lips closed.
- 7:28Speaker 4: He's going to have laser vision.
- 7:30Speaker 1: You know, like he does. Silly ass shit.
- 7:35Speaker 2: But yeah, I was never, I mean, aside from the
- 7:38Speaker 2: video game, the video game was probably my first positive
- 7:43Speaker 2: introduction to Deadpool. I'll play the hell out of that
- 7:45Speaker 2: because you can button mash that game.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Which game?
- 7:48Speaker 2: Deadpool.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I mean, for what?
- 7:50Speaker 3: Xbox 360.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Okay. Yeah, but... Because I'm a button masher straight through
- 7:55Speaker 2: and through. I am not one who sets in plans, moves,
- 7:57Speaker 2: and maneuvers. I am, okay... I don't even like the
- 8:01Speaker 2: gun ones because you've got to, like, point. Give me
- 8:04Speaker 2: something with swords that I can just fucking cut shit
- 8:07Speaker 2: up with.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Just get into action.
- 8:08Speaker 2: I do, and it's just... I'm just like, am I
- 8:10Speaker 2: hitting anything? Am I hitting anything? Eyes closed, you know?
- 8:14Speaker 2: But that was my... This thing... that made me fall
- 8:17Speaker 2: in love with the character. And now after seeing the
- 8:18Speaker 2: movie and liking it, I've actually gone back and bought
- 8:20Speaker 2: some of the, uh, comics from before. So.
- 8:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:23Speaker 4: I'm, I'm kind of confused because like, when did we
- 8:26Speaker 4: say the, when did he first make his appearance in Marvel?
- 8:33Speaker 2: I don't remember.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Nobody knows.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Like in the comic book world?
- 8:36Speaker 3: Only the geeks knows. Uh, yeah.
- 8:38Speaker 4: In the comic book world. Cause I remember reading about
- 8:40Speaker 4: him in the, uh, um, and I'm, I'm, sorry because
- 8:45Speaker 4: I'm not a real nerd. I'm kind of like a
- 8:48Speaker 4: partial nerd.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Oh, you're a nerd, but just in different things.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:50Speaker 1: I'm out of the loop.
- 8:51Speaker 4: I'm out of, out of the loop nerd.
- 8:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Uh, but the, uh, wow.
- 8:57Speaker 4: Was it the Marvel universe or the, uh, I remember
- 9:01Speaker 4: there were, there was compendium, but there were like, uh,
- 9:05Speaker 4: I want to say four or five comic book sized, uh,
- 9:12Speaker 4: comics that came out and they weren't really comics but
- 9:14Speaker 4: they had references to all they basically had like A
- 9:18Speaker 4: through D and E through whatever and it covered each
- 9:24Speaker 4: character and it had like three pages on each character
- 9:27Speaker 4: but I remember going through it and seeing Deadpool in
- 9:31Speaker 4: there and reading about Deadpool and that's what I was
- 9:33Speaker 4: like at the time I mean I was pretty excited
- 9:38Speaker 4: about oh he's a mercenary and I liked all things
- 9:40Speaker 4: mercenary I was probably one of the only kids in
- 9:42Speaker 4: high school that had a subscription to Soldier of Fortune magazine.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Was your plans for the future?
- 9:46Speaker 4: Well, it was my plans for the future. Yeah, it was, actually. Which,
- 9:53Speaker 4: things never did work out.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Good for you, because if you'd been a mercenary, you
- 9:57Speaker 2: wouldn't have a Misty and the Bastion of Awesome.
- 9:58Speaker 4: I'd probably be dead, too.
- 10:00Speaker 1: He might have met you, he just would have shot you.
- 10:03Speaker 1: He'd be like, I contracted to take out this Misty person.
- 10:06Speaker 2: I wouldn't doubt it. It's half the world right there.
- 10:09Speaker 4: I was just trying to figure out at what point.
- 10:12Speaker 4: Because I think at the point when I was reading
- 10:16Speaker 4: online when they were saying he made his... kind of
- 10:19Speaker 4: debut I'm like sitting there going I seem to remember
- 10:22Speaker 4: reading about him before that but things that happen in
- 10:25Speaker 4: my mind don't happen in the correct order that they
- 10:29Speaker 4: happen although they would have had to happen in some
- 10:33Speaker 4: sort of order because my buddy had like he had
- 10:37Speaker 4: he was one of the few kids in our neighborhood
- 10:40Speaker 4: that actually got the comic book subscriptions so when they
- 10:44Speaker 4: came out I went to his house and And we
- 10:47Speaker 4: would sit around all day in his room reading comic books.
- 10:50Speaker 1: There were a couple I got that way.
- 10:52Speaker 4: And then if there were ones that I liked, then
- 10:55Speaker 4: I would go down to the drugstore and I would
- 10:57Speaker 4: buy them. Because the drugstore at the time was the
- 10:59Speaker 4: only place that I could buy comic books. Because we
- 11:02Speaker 4: lived like a good hour outside of town. So there
- 11:06Speaker 4: was no, hey, we'll just pop into town and get
- 11:08Speaker 4: a comic book.
- 11:09Speaker 1: It might have been somewhere around 1991.
- 11:11Speaker 3: 1991.
- 11:12Speaker 1: See, that's the thing.
- 11:13Speaker 4: They're saying 91, but I remember reading... Maybe the character
- 11:16Speaker 4: was just made up.
- 11:17Speaker 1: It just says the character first appeared in The New Mutants,
- 11:20Speaker 1: number 98, cover date February 1991.
- 11:23Speaker 4: See, I remember seeing him in the Marvel Universe.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Compendium.
- 11:28Speaker 4: Compendium.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Or whatever those are.
- 11:29Speaker 4: Like, I want to say late 80s, because that would
- 11:32Speaker 4: have been still... It was pre-high school.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Hmm.
- 11:36Speaker 4: Not pre-high school. It would have been right at high school.
- 11:38Speaker 4: Mid-high school. So it would have been around 86.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Maybe your timeline has gotten cloudy.
- 11:44Speaker 4: Well, here's the thing. It would have had to have
- 11:47Speaker 4: been right because that was when I was still hanging
- 11:50Speaker 4: out with my friend. Once I got out of high school,
- 11:55Speaker 4: we went separate ways. So I graduated in 91.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Carrying your New Mutants comic book. Shoved in your back
- 12:03Speaker 1: pocket as the gown went on.
- 12:04Speaker 4: Trying to figure out how things.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Your brain works in mysterious ways.
- 12:09Speaker 1: That's true.
- 12:09Speaker 2: What if you at some point traveled to the future
- 12:12Speaker 2: and instead of getting a... What was the thing from
- 12:15Speaker 2: Back to the Future?
- 12:15Speaker 4: I know I used to borrow them from.
- 12:17Speaker 1: The sports almanac?
- 12:18Speaker 4: Instead of getting the sports almanac, I would take... Ooh
- 12:21Speaker 4: la la. Ooh la la.
- 12:24Speaker 2: You went to the future and got the Marble Compendium
- 12:28Speaker 2: and took it back to 86 and then totally confused
- 12:31Speaker 2: for the rest of your life.
- 12:32Speaker 1: You did it just to mess with yourself. When was it?
- 12:34Speaker 2: 91.
- 12:34Speaker 1: February 91.
- 12:37Speaker 4: I know I read about him before 91.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Let's get Marvel on the line. Hold on.
- 12:41Speaker 2: You call Stanley straight up right now.
- 12:44Speaker 1: We can track him down.
- 12:47Speaker 2: I watched other things.
- 12:48Speaker 3: All right.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Do you want to discuss the movie we watched together
- 12:52Speaker 2: or the show I watched by myself?
- 12:54Speaker 4: We can discuss the movie that I have no idea
- 12:56Speaker 4: what you're talking about that we watched together.
- 12:58Speaker 1: That sounds about right.
- 12:59Speaker 2: He Never Died. Huh?
- 13:02Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 13:02Speaker 4: Henry Rollins? I love that movie.
- 13:05Speaker 2: He is chock full of just not caring.
- 13:07Speaker 1: I've heard pretty decent things so far.
- 13:09Speaker 4: I really like that movie. I really do. I was like, actually,
- 13:13Speaker 4: I didn't go into it with any kind of expectation,
- 13:15Speaker 4: but I like Henry Rollins, and I like everything that
- 13:18Speaker 4: Henry Rollins does, even though I may not agree with
- 13:21Speaker 4: some of the stuff that Henry Rollins says, but hey.
- 13:24Speaker 4: I don't really care because.
- 13:25Speaker 1: He's entertaining. He's entertaining. I was going to say, even stuff,
- 13:28Speaker 1: regardless of what you think, watching him talk is so entertaining.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Whatever he says, it's kind of fun.
- 13:35Speaker 2: I've seen the spoken.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Word at least once, if not twice. A couple of times,
- 13:38Speaker 1: I have, yeah.
- 13:39Speaker 2: And plus the Rollins band, but yeah. Again, one of those,
- 13:43Speaker 2: you watch the trailer and you're like... is everything good
- 13:46Speaker 2: in this trailer? Is this all that there is? And
- 13:50Speaker 2: you watch it and you're like, no, it's just from
- 13:52Speaker 2: beginning to end. At the end, I was very confused
- 13:55Speaker 2: because I think Jay looked it up and it was
- 13:58Speaker 2: supposed to be like continued in another form, like maybe
- 14:01Speaker 2: like a miniseries or like a TV show. So it
- 14:05Speaker 2: gets to the end and it sets it up like
- 14:07Speaker 2: there's going to be more, but I don't think they
- 14:10Speaker 2: ever did anything else with it.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Like it seems at this point it would be like
- 14:14Speaker 1: a netflix series you know it seems like there's so
- 14:17Speaker 1: many options out there they could get picked up on
- 14:19Speaker 1: hulu or amazon or anything at this point and like
- 14:23Speaker 1: just do especially with his name attached do you think
- 14:25Speaker 1: people would be like all right we'll throw enough money
- 14:27Speaker 1: at it to finish out you.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Know maybe he got bored that's.
- 14:31Speaker 1: True he does like to do 40 million things like
- 14:33Speaker 1: he's constantly he can't stay in one city for long
- 14:36Speaker 1: enough to do anything he's Off buying records or whatever.
- 14:40Speaker 4: Crazy stuff he does.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Should we discuss the basic premise for the movie? Or
- 14:42Speaker 2: should we not discuss the basic premise?
- 14:44Speaker 1: Lightly graze it.
- 14:45Speaker 2: Okay, apparently it's Henry Rollins and apparently he's been alive
- 14:49Speaker 2: for quite some time.
- 14:50Speaker 1: This might be true anyway.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm pretty sure it is.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Seems like he's got a lot of stories.
- 14:54Speaker 2: And he has a lot of stories in the movie
- 14:56Speaker 2: because in the movie he is older. He's in the Bible.
- 15:01Speaker 1: As we, you know, run into many characters.
- 15:03Speaker 2: Yeah, then out of the woodwork comes his daughter that
- 15:06Speaker 2: he apparently had. I'm not sure, did he know that
- 15:08Speaker 2: he had a daughter or she just showed up and
- 15:09Speaker 2: was like, hey, I'm your kid. He's like, oh.
- 15:11Speaker 3: That happens.
- 15:13Speaker 2: And then it's just him getting in just like a
- 15:15Speaker 2: little bunch of, you know, shenanigans with some like, was
- 15:18Speaker 2: it mob kind of guys?
- 15:21Speaker 4: Yeah, I think it was.
- 15:22Speaker 1: Mobsters.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Then there's some, his daughter's kidnapped and there's just, there's
- 15:27Speaker 2: a lot of blood.
- 15:29Speaker 1: That sounds like something Henry would get involved.
- 15:31Speaker 2: A lot of people dying. A lot of him just
- 15:33Speaker 2: saying smart-ass things.
- 15:35Speaker 1: That also sounds like him. I know.
- 15:36Speaker 2: It's thoroughly enjoyable. If you even remotely like Henry Rollins,
- 15:41Speaker 2: I would watch this movie. Because, like I said, it's
- 15:43Speaker 2: chock-full of Henry Rollins not giving a shit.
- 15:47Speaker 1: He does that relatively well.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Because all it is is just deadpan.
- 15:51Speaker 1: Well, again, he's Henry.
- 15:52Speaker 4: He beats the crap out of a bunch of people.
- 15:54Speaker 2: A lot of people. That's pretty good.
- 15:56Speaker 4: That's entertaining.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Good times were had by all, except for the dead people.
- 16:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Then I watched something else. Do you want to do
- 16:05Speaker 2: one or do you want me to keep going? Because
- 16:06Speaker 2: I can keep going.
- 16:09Speaker 1: You can go ahead.
- 16:11Speaker 2: This is a TV show.
- 16:12Speaker 3: All right.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Real TV or streaming series?
- 16:15Speaker 2: I watched it on the Netflix.
- 16:17Speaker 3: Okay.
- 16:17Speaker 2: It's not a Netflix original, but I watched it on
- 16:19Speaker 2: the Netflix. I'm trying to get caught up on American
- 16:22Speaker 2: Horror Story.
- 16:23Speaker 1: I am not. I am still behind all the seasons.
- 16:27Speaker 2: I had very mixed feelings about the first season, the
- 16:29Speaker 2: murder house season.
- 16:31Speaker 4: The first season?
- 16:32Speaker 2: Murder house.
- 16:33Speaker 3: Oh.
- 16:34Speaker 4: It was okay.
- 16:37Speaker 2: It was gratuitous for the sake of being gratuitous, but
- 16:38Speaker 2: I didn't know.
- 16:38Speaker 4: It was. It was kind of gratuitous.
- 16:40Speaker 3: For the sake of being gratuitous.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Maybe I'm just getting old, but it was just, I'm like,
- 16:43Speaker 2: come on now, put it away. Quit doing the old
- 16:46Speaker 2: lady maid. It's just not cool. But, uh. The second
- 16:51Speaker 2: season was Asylum.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 16:54Speaker 2: I love that season because it was so good. I
- 16:56Speaker 2: missed that one. I don't want to make you watch
- 16:58Speaker 2: it one of these days.
- 16:59Speaker 1: It was so good.
- 17:00Speaker 2: It was so much better than the first season, but
- 17:01Speaker 2: it had like, again, I had most because the whole
- 17:04Speaker 2: theme is that they always, they carry on a lot
- 17:06Speaker 2: of the cast. It's like a lot of the cast
- 17:07Speaker 2: are the same.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Start over the next season and tell a different story.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Yeah, completely different story.
- 17:12Speaker 4: It kind of gets confusing sometimes because you're used to
- 17:15Speaker 4: them in that one season and you're like, But no,
- 17:18Speaker 4: you're so-and-so. You're not the blah, blah, blah. And then
- 17:22Speaker 4: you're like, oh man.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Stupid Jessica Lange.
- 17:25Speaker 2: Jessica Lange's in all of them. Evan Peters has been
- 17:27Speaker 2: in all of them. Sarah Paulson has been in all
- 17:31Speaker 2: of them. A couple of them have gone from been
- 17:34Speaker 2: in season two and four and not all of them.
- 17:36Speaker 2: But like I said, mixed feelings about season one. Season
- 17:40Speaker 2: two I loved. And then me and boyfriend watched season three,
- 17:44Speaker 2: which is the Coven season. which I loved the most
- 17:47Speaker 2: so far, because it has Emma Roberts, and I love her,
- 17:50Speaker 2: and she's so crazy, and her tiny little ankles are just,
- 17:54Speaker 2: she's so cute.
- 17:55Speaker 1: She's insane.
- 17:56Speaker 2: She's batshit crazy.
- 17:57Speaker 1: I mean, she's what saved Scream 4 for me.
- 18:00Speaker 2: I need to watch that movie again.
- 18:01Speaker 1: There was a Scream 4?
- 18:02Speaker 2: Yes, there was a Scream 5, wasn't there? Oh, really?
- 18:04Speaker 2: Was there a Scream 5, or am I making that up?
- 18:05Speaker 1: No, just the series.
- 18:06Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 18:07Speaker 4: I think the last one I saw was Scream 2, maybe.
- 18:12Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 18:14Speaker 2: That one had Timothy Olyphant in it. Didn't it?
- 18:17Speaker 1: Yes, it did. Yes, it did. Back when nobody knew
- 18:20Speaker 1: who he was. He was just that weird dude.
- 18:22Speaker 2: But anyways, yes, I loved the Coven season. Like I said,
- 18:25Speaker 2: Emma Roberts.
- 18:28Speaker 4: I sat through, I kind of came in through part
- 18:31Speaker 4: of it.
- 18:31Speaker 2: You came in pretty early, I think.
- 18:34Speaker 3: Was it?
- 18:34Speaker 4: Yeah, you were watching a couple episodes and I was like,
- 18:37Speaker 4: what the hell is that noise?
- 18:38Speaker 2: You were in the same room. You were sitting right
- 18:40Speaker 2: there when I first started watching it. I'm like, I'm
- 18:42Speaker 2: going to watch this show.
- 18:43Speaker 4: And you were like, what are you going to watch?
- 18:44Speaker 4: Maybe it was making the noise off the other ones.
- 18:47Speaker 4: The other one making the same damn noise.
- 18:49Speaker 2: Probably. They always make sounds.
- 18:50Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, I was sitting there. It sounded like an
- 18:53Speaker 4: electronic piano farting really long. It was like.
- 18:57Speaker 2: I was like.
- 18:59Speaker 1: Is it weird?
- 19:00Speaker 4: Yeah, I was sitting in the other room going, what
- 19:02Speaker 4: the fuck is she watching?
- 19:03Speaker 1: She's just in there playing her keyboard.
- 19:06Speaker 2: I'm just sitting there farting. I get fart noises with
- 19:10Speaker 2: my hands, too.
- 19:11Speaker 1: That I can see. Hours of entertainment for you.
- 19:14Speaker 2: Yeah, as I said, I was like, I'm going to
- 19:15Speaker 2: watch Coven. So I sat there and I watched eight
- 19:18Speaker 2: episodes in a row. It was like four o'clock in
- 19:20Speaker 2: the morning and I'm like.
- 19:21Speaker 1: See, I can't stream that much anymore. I'm just like
- 19:23Speaker 1: a couple in and I'm like... Except I can get
- 19:26Speaker 1: to my series later. I think you went to.
- 19:27Speaker 4: Bed at three.
- 19:28Speaker 2: So three, I thought it was four.
- 19:29Speaker 4: It was four, yeah, you're right.
- 19:31Speaker 2: But yeah, I couldn't stop. Which has got me worried
- 19:34Speaker 2: about season four because I watched one episode of season
- 19:37Speaker 2: four last night.
- 19:38Speaker 1: I watched the freak show.
- 19:39Speaker 4: I watched like five minutes of it and then I
- 19:41Speaker 4: got up and watched it.
- 19:42Speaker 2: I'm like, The first episode of Coven and Asylum, I'm like,
- 19:47Speaker 2: I can't wait to watch another one. I'm watching Freak
- 19:49Speaker 2: Show and I'm like... This is over yet. I'm like,
- 19:52Speaker 2: that's what sucks. It's like, how can you make something
- 19:55Speaker 2: that's so awesome and interesting as a Freak Show so
- 19:58Speaker 2: fucking boring?
- 20:00Speaker 1: That was my... I was like, as much as I
- 20:01Speaker 1: like the whole Freak Show idea, like, you know, the whole... Again,
- 20:05Speaker 1: not that it's... cool what goes on in a lot
- 20:07Speaker 1: of those, but just the mythology of them over the
- 20:10Speaker 1: years is awesome and kind of cool. But, yeah. Everybody
- 20:15Speaker 1: I've talked to is just like, eh. Like, the best
- 20:17Speaker 1: review I've gotten is, eh, it's alright.
- 20:19Speaker 2: I'm hoping it gets better. Are you telling me that
- 20:20Speaker 2: it does not get better? I don't know.
- 20:21Speaker 1: I have a lot of... That's what I think is funny,
- 20:24Speaker 1: is each one is defined by what it is that season.
- 20:27Speaker 1: So I'm waiting for, like, American Horror Story 19, the
- 20:31Speaker 1: Plumber's Convention.
- 20:32Speaker 2: I'm like.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Each one is like such a, like you're going to
- 20:35Speaker 1: run out of normal creepy things and it's just going
- 20:37Speaker 1: to be like random crap.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Blue light special.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Well, season two crammed so much shit in there because
- 20:43Speaker 2: like asylum, it had, I mean, it had an asylum.
- 20:46Speaker 2: There was a serial killer. There was like a demon possession.
- 20:51Speaker 2: There was aliens. Oh my God. How much more can
- 20:54Speaker 2: you cram into one? It was just so much.
- 20:56Speaker 1: It's almost too much.
- 20:57Speaker 2: But it was so, I couldn't stop watching. I'm just,
- 20:59Speaker 2: I was drawn in and it, I said that one
- 21:02Speaker 2: didn't have Emma Roberts in it, but it probably should have.
- 21:04Speaker 2: It had Lily Rae. Most likely should.
- 21:06Speaker 4: Is Emma Roberts that fucking nuts in real life?
- 21:10Speaker 1: I think so.
- 21:10Speaker 4: Yeah, we're pretty sure.
- 21:11Speaker 1: I mean, she's nuts.
- 21:12Speaker 4: She just seems like a monumental bitch.
- 21:15Speaker 1: Well, look at her dad. I mean, I started to say,
- 21:17Speaker 1: look at the crazy family she comes from. I mean, serious.
- 21:19Speaker 1: The Robertses are crazy.
- 21:21Speaker 2: I don't know the Mrs.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Roberts.
- 21:22Speaker 2: All I know is.
- 21:23Speaker 1: I just know aunt and dad.
- 21:25Speaker 2: Yeah. But she's just so damn adorable. I just want to.
- 21:28Speaker 2: I mean, she's so tiny. I just want to like.
- 21:30Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure I could fit one hand around her throat.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Is that a threat? Emma Roberts, watch your back.
- 21:40Speaker 2: I want to pick her up and.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Put her in my pocket.
- 21:41Speaker 4: That's just how Misty does things. Watch your throat. She
- 21:44Speaker 4: just grabs people by the throat.
- 21:45Speaker 1: That's true.
- 21:47Speaker 2: I'm just saying, it's so tiny. I'm going to put
- 21:49Speaker 2: her in my pocket.
- 21:50Speaker 1: I'm going to grab you by the throat and put
- 21:51Speaker 1: you in my pocket.
- 21:53Speaker 2: I would not bodily harm Emma Roberts.
- 21:55Speaker 1: I just want to pet her hair.
- 21:57Speaker 2: She does have nice hair. I just want to pet
- 21:58Speaker 2: the rabbits.
- 21:59Speaker 1: I just want to pet the rabbits.
- 22:02Speaker 2: Tiniest little ankles. I swear to God, it's not right.
- 22:05Speaker 2: And she wanders around in these little stripper heels. And
- 22:07Speaker 2: I'm like, how do you not fall and break something?
- 22:11Speaker 2: So adorable. I'm holding out in season freak show because
- 22:15Speaker 2: I know Emma Roberts is supposed to be in there somewhere.
- 22:17Speaker 2: And I'm holding out until she's in there. And if
- 22:20Speaker 2: it doesn't get better after she's in there or if
- 22:21Speaker 2: she dies soon, then I'll just like... I mean, I
- 22:25Speaker 2: have no real big desire to get to the Lady
- 22:28Speaker 2: Gaga season.
- 22:30Speaker 1: Emmy Award winner, Lady Gaga.
- 22:32Speaker 4: My co-worker says you see her butt a lot in
- 22:35Speaker 4: this movie.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Never mind, I'm not sold now.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Leo gave her a dirty look.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Who's Leo?
- 22:43Speaker 2: Leonardo DiCaprio.
- 22:44Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 22:45Speaker 1: That's because she all busted into him.
- 22:47Speaker 2: She did. From what I understand, her boyfriend made Leo
- 22:51Speaker 2: apologize for that look. And I'm like, dude, Leo, no.
- 22:55Speaker 4: I saw her boyfriend, man. Fuck that guy.
- 22:57Speaker 1: Leo has an Oscar. He outranked you.
- 23:00Speaker 4: He didn't have it at the time.
- 23:02Speaker 1: Your Emmy's a joke compared to his Oscar winning.
- 23:05Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 23:06Speaker 4: Hollywood people need to grow a set.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Jeez.
- 23:10Speaker 4: I was really hoping he would have just looked at
- 23:12Speaker 4: the guy and said, fuck you.
- 23:13Speaker 1: I mean, he should be able to. He is Leonardo DiCaprio.
- 23:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:17Speaker 1: It's like, I work in every Scorsese movie. Fuck you.
- 23:20Speaker 4: But then before, I mean, like you said, it was
- 23:22Speaker 4: before the Oscars. So he was, you don't want any chance,
- 23:27Speaker 4: especially him. He was trying to, trying to save.
- 23:30Speaker 1: He was like gunning for that thing. Like to the
- 23:33Speaker 1: point where he was.
- 23:33Speaker 4: So he would have pissed Lady Gaga off. Cause then
- 23:35Speaker 4: Lady Gaga, even though she has probably. no influence over
- 23:40Speaker 4: the Oscars.
- 23:40Speaker 1: No.
- 23:40Speaker 4: She might, though.
- 23:41Speaker 1: She didn't even win.
- 23:42Speaker 4: Yeah, he was afraid. He's trying to be nice to everybody.
- 23:46Speaker 1: He really was, though. Like, they went... Like, that's the thing.
- 23:48Speaker 1: They have all those, like, pre-luncheon things where you, like, you...
- 23:53Speaker 1: Some people, basically whoever wants to come and say, I'm
- 23:56Speaker 1: part of the Oscars this year, can go and meet
- 23:58Speaker 1: the voters. He went to all those. He was just like,
- 24:02Speaker 1: damn it, I'm getting my Oscar this time. He's been
- 24:04Speaker 1: trying so hard for so long. It wasn't just a
- 24:08Speaker 1: joke anymore. He was like, damn it. This last movie
- 24:12Speaker 1: might kill me, but I'm getting my Oscar. I didn't
- 24:14Speaker 1: see the movie.
- 24:15Speaker 2: Did he actually deserve it, or was it just kind
- 24:17Speaker 2: of one of those?
- 24:17Speaker 1: No, he's really good at it. Like, he is really good.
- 24:19Speaker 1: And it does kind of show that he can act,
- 24:22Speaker 1: because it's not 100% wordless, but 90% of it is
- 24:27Speaker 1: just him grunting and in pain and cold and suffering.
- 24:32Speaker 2: He should have got the Oscar for What's Eating Gilbert Grape.
- 24:34Speaker 1: I don't even care. He kind of did, because we
- 24:35Speaker 1: all thought he was special.
- 24:37Speaker 2: I'm still pretty sure.
- 24:38Speaker 1: He might still be.
- 24:40Speaker 4: Well, they don't have award ceremonies for welders, so I
- 24:43Speaker 4: don't really give a fuck about them.
- 24:44Speaker 2: You got your award.
- 24:46Speaker 4: I got my mug. I got my nine-year mug.
- 24:49Speaker 3: Whoop-dee-shit.
- 24:49Speaker 2: At least it's spelled correctly.
- 24:51Speaker 1: I might be able to hook you up with a
- 24:52Speaker 1: foiler if you want one. I'm still waiting for Daisy
- 24:56Speaker 1: to come pick hers up. Damn it.
- 25:00Speaker 2: What?
- 25:02Speaker 1: You've been on this show before. We have our own award.
- 25:05Speaker 4: We do?
- 25:07Speaker 1: You were at the award ceremony. I was.
- 25:09Speaker 2: We've never seen the foiler, I don't think. Really? Because
- 25:11Speaker 2: we quit going soon enough.
- 25:13Speaker 1: We crossed over. I thought maybe that last year.
- 25:15Speaker 3: But I don't remember.
- 25:18Speaker 2: Maybe the awards weren't prepared.
- 25:20Speaker 1: Maybe not.
- 25:21Speaker 3: That doesn't sound right.
- 25:22Speaker 4: I don't remember any of this. Was that one time
- 25:24Speaker 4: when I was in that- You might have.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Been in a meat stupor.
- 25:27Speaker 4: No.
- 25:28Speaker 1: That happens a lot.
- 25:29Speaker 4: I was really sick, and I was in a Robitussin coma.
- 25:32Speaker 2: You were tripping?
- 25:33Speaker 4: I was Robitripping, yeah. I think maybe me and Roger.
- 25:39Speaker 1: It was like the same episode where everybody started losing
- 25:42Speaker 1: their mind.
- 25:43Speaker 4: Yeah, I think that's what it was.
- 25:44Speaker 3: Probably so.
- 25:45Speaker 2: Yeah, good to find an episode where Roger's not kind
- 25:47Speaker 2: of drunk.
- 25:50Speaker 4: Allegedly.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Some of those are still in the feed. You can
- 25:53Speaker 1: go listen to Roger's craziness.
- 25:56Speaker 2: Didn't he fall asleep during an episode? Oh, he did.
- 25:58Speaker 1: More than one, I think.
- 25:59Speaker 3: Yeah, he did.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Those were good times.
- 26:01Speaker 1: Some of that might have been natural causes.
- 26:04Speaker 3: Those were.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Those were good shows, so anybody out there listening who
- 26:07Speaker 2: has not listened, go back and listen to that shit,
- 26:09Speaker 2: because it is way better than whatever Brian does now.
- 26:12Speaker 4: That's not true. He's going to edit that out.
- 26:15Speaker 1: That's not true at all.
- 26:18Speaker 4: He's going to edit that out.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Probably. I was sitting there for them. I know what
- 26:22Speaker 1: kind of nonsense was said.
- 26:23Speaker 2: Probably just me saying all the bad words straight in
- 26:27Speaker 2: a row.
- 26:28Speaker 1: Pretty much, yeah. Yeah.
- 26:29Speaker 2: I say all of them.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Okay, so I have a question, because I thought this, well,
- 26:34Speaker 1: I thought it the first time I saw this trailer,
- 26:37Speaker 1: and then I saw it again the other day, and
- 26:38Speaker 1: I was like.
- 26:38Speaker 3: Oh, shit.
- 26:40Speaker 1: Misty, have you seen the Keanu trailer?
- 26:43Speaker 2: The what?
- 26:44Speaker 1: Maybe we need to get, well, you might need to
- 26:46Speaker 1: have to watch.
- 26:46Speaker 3: It right now.
- 26:47Speaker 2: I have no idea what you're talking about.
- 26:48Speaker 1: It's Key and Peele, but they made a movie. It's
- 26:53Speaker 1: called Keanu. You might need to watch the trailer right now.
- 26:56Speaker 2: Okay, hold on.
- 26:57Speaker 4: Oh, I thought you meant it was Keanu Reeves.
- 26:59Speaker 1: See, it could backfire on him. Everybody could think it's
- 27:03Speaker 1: like the new Keanu movie.
- 27:04Speaker 4: No, you saw him. Did you see him running the IDPA?
- 27:08Speaker 4: He's running the shooting course.
- 27:11Speaker 1: No.
- 27:12Speaker 4: Dude, he fucking tears it up. I did not know
- 27:15Speaker 4: he was that good of a damn shooter.
- 27:16Speaker 2: I thought somebody said he was kind of sloppy.
- 27:18Speaker 4: Yeah, that was Fred, but Fred's a Navy SEAL.
- 27:21Speaker 1: But he's also nice and rides the subway.
- 27:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:25Speaker 4: Fred is a better shooter than he is. Fred's fucking awesome.
- 27:31Speaker 4: And not the Fred that's on the show sometimes. This
- 27:33Speaker 4: is a different Fred. I don't know if that Fred
- 27:36Speaker 4: shoots people.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Not that I know of. He does a lot of
- 27:40Speaker 1: crazy things, too.
- 27:42Speaker 2: Hey, man.
- 27:47Speaker 3: How are you? How are you doing?
- 27:48Speaker 1: Nothing makes sense anymore.
- 27:50Speaker 3: Are you okay? Maisie broke up with me.
- 27:59Speaker 4: Well, it's gonna be okay.
- 28:02Speaker 3: You're right, Clarence.
- 28:03Speaker 1: I want you to meet Keanu.
- 28:07Speaker 3: No.
- 28:08Speaker 2: Oh, my God, that's the cutest gag I've ever seen
- 28:11Speaker 2: in my life.
- 28:14Speaker 3: Why is your door open?
- 28:15Speaker 2: Keanu.
- 28:16Speaker 5: Keanu!
- 28:18Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 28:23Speaker 3: Oh, sup sup, bro? I'm here because my place got
- 28:25Speaker 3: broken into. Has anyone shady come by here?
- 28:27Speaker 4: I mean, the 17th Street blips.
- 28:30Speaker 1: The 17th Street blips. Okay, where are they? 17th Street.
- 28:35Speaker 3: Let's just go check it out.
- 28:37Speaker 4: What's the worst that can happen?
- 28:38Speaker 3: One beer, please.
- 28:39Speaker 1: I'll take a white wine spitzer. Clarence, Clarence, Clarence.
- 28:41Speaker 2: What?
- 28:42Speaker 4: You can't talk like that here. Then we really are
- 28:44Speaker 4: in trouble because you sound like John Ritter all the time. Well,
- 28:48Speaker 4: I beg to differ, nigga.
- 28:50Speaker 3: Went straight to the N-word.
- 28:51Speaker 1: You niggas in the right place.
- 28:54Speaker 4: Damn, we in the right place, nigga!
- 28:59Speaker 2: Oh!
- 28:59Speaker 3: Tedder's got Keanu.
- 29:02Speaker 1: We in the market right now for, like, a gangster pet, so.
- 29:06Speaker 3: The fuck?
- 29:11Speaker 1: I am not breaking the law.
- 29:12Speaker 4: We just feed him some bullshit about New Jack City,
- 29:14Speaker 4: and we get Keanu.
- 29:17Speaker 1: You ain't never seen nobody get killed before?
- 29:19Speaker 4: I seen people get killed before.
- 29:21Speaker 1: Come on, man!
- 29:24Speaker 4: Keanu needs you.
- 29:26Speaker 1: I need you. Where are you? Shit.
- 29:29Speaker 4: Where'd you think my idea of fun was?
- 29:31Speaker 2: Why are you talking to me like that?
- 29:33Speaker 4: I talk like that sometimes.
- 29:35Speaker 3: Why you drive this weak-ass van?
- 29:37Speaker 4: You want to never get pulled over again?
- 29:39Speaker 3: You drive a Inca spirit. family vehicle. Ain't no thing.
- 29:44Speaker 5: You okay, Keanu?
- 29:51Speaker 2: Keanu!
- 29:56Speaker 3: Keanu!
- 29:57Speaker 2: You're a kitty kitty! Jesus Christ, I'm a pogo stick.
- 30:01Speaker 2: I'm going to have to see Keanu.
- 30:03Speaker 1: An action movie about a kitty.
- 30:05Speaker 2: Hell yeah. I mean, I've seen other ones where they
- 30:08Speaker 2: make movies, but they put kittens in the role. But
- 30:10Speaker 2: this is a movie that just.
- 30:10Speaker 1: Has a kitten in it. It's just them trying to
- 30:12Speaker 1: save their kitty. And they're like, damn it. They became
- 30:18Speaker 1: so popular, you're going to be like, write them off,
- 30:20Speaker 1: be like, whatever, Key and Peele.
- 30:22Speaker 2: I have no idea what Key and Peele.
- 30:23Speaker 1: Every time I see them, I'm like, damn, they are
- 30:26Speaker 1: just that funny.
- 30:27Speaker 2: I have no idea what that is.
- 30:28Speaker 4: Key and Peele is hilarious.
- 30:29Speaker 1: They're so funny.
- 30:30Speaker 4: Have you seen the one... Oh, damn, here.
- 30:35Speaker 1: This one cracked me the fuck up again they're just
- 30:38Speaker 1: yeah I wanted to I wanted to be like too
- 30:40Speaker 1: much you know overhyped you know they can't be that
- 30:43Speaker 1: damn it every time I see them like everything.
- 30:45Speaker 2: I have no idea what it even is I've never
- 30:46Speaker 2: heard of.
- 30:47Speaker 4: TMP they're like an internet comedy but we got it
- 30:52Speaker 4: from Aaron because we call Aaron A.A. Ron oh that one.
- 30:57Speaker 2: That's them yeah okay I take it all back see there.
- 31:00Speaker 1: You go like they're everywhere what else Well, my intake
- 31:06Speaker 1: as of recently, again, it shows my opposite ends of
- 31:10Speaker 1: the spectrum that all my stuff revolves around. Marvel, superheroes. Again,
- 31:17Speaker 1: Daredevil started.
- 31:18Speaker 3: Fuck.
- 31:20Speaker 1: It's just so damn good. It's ridiculous how good that
- 31:23Speaker 1: series is.
- 31:24Speaker 3: You hate it?
- 31:30Speaker 4: So I was looking for a break in the conversation
- 31:32Speaker 4: so I could open my soda.
- 31:36Speaker 2: I've not seen it. I've not seen any of the Daredevil.
- 31:38Speaker 2: I keep meaning to. I've heard amazing things about it.
- 31:40Speaker 1: It's just so damn good. Wait a minute.
- 31:42Speaker 4: Are you talking about Ben Affleck?
- 31:43Speaker 2: Daredevil. Not Daredevil.
- 31:45Speaker 1: No, he's the Batmans now.
- 31:46Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
- 31:47Speaker 2: Not the movie. The show.
- 31:48Speaker 4: Oh, the movie Daredevil.
- 31:50Speaker 2: No.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Nobody acknowledges the movie anymore. Oh, yeah, I know. Like,
- 31:53Speaker 1: the show's so good, it is totally eclipsed.
- 31:55Speaker 3: I haven't seen it.
- 31:55Speaker 1: The memory of the movie.
- 31:57Speaker 4: Oh, that's good, because I always liked the comic book character.
- 31:59Speaker 4: I thought he was pretty cool.
- 32:00Speaker 1: That's the thing. I didn't know much about him years ago.
- 32:03Speaker 1: I mean, I knew of it by title, but I
- 32:07Speaker 1: hadn't really paid attention. So I watched the Daredevil movie,
- 32:10Speaker 1: and I'm like, what the hell is going on? So
- 32:14Speaker 1: I still didn't have anything really invested in it. And finally,
- 32:17Speaker 1: watching that first season, I was like, oh shit, this
- 32:20Speaker 1: is a great character. This is probably a really good
- 32:23Speaker 1: comic series. He's an awesome character. Yeah, it's a really good.
- 32:27Speaker 4: Series, but yeah, Affleck, dude, he like tainted that.
- 32:33Speaker 1: I don't even know that that was his doing 100%.
- 32:35Speaker 1: He didn't help it any, but it feels like it
- 32:39Speaker 1: just went wrong on every front. I don't know.
- 32:42Speaker 2: So have you watched the complete second season yet? Oh, no.
- 32:44Speaker 1: I'm just a couple episodes in.
- 32:45Speaker 2: How much of it is the Punisher in?
- 32:48Speaker 1: I mean, it starts that way. He's the first episode.
- 32:50Speaker 1: That's the thing. I thought they were going to lead in. Oh,
- 32:52Speaker 1: there's a Punisher in it? Seven episodes in, they introduce him. No,
- 32:56Speaker 1: he's like a huge part of this second season. Shane
- 32:59Speaker 1: from The Walking Dead.
- 33:00Speaker 4: Oh, I thought he was supposed to be in the movie, Punisher.
- 33:02Speaker 2: No, he's in the show.
- 33:03Speaker 1: Oh, he's in the show, Punisher.
- 33:04Speaker 2: I thought I heard that he got canceled.
- 33:05Speaker 4: Dude, I'm so out of touch with shit.
- 33:07Speaker 2: I thought they were going to make a Punisher movie
- 33:09Speaker 2: with him, but they canceled it. Are they going to
- 33:10Speaker 2: have a spinoff show?
- 33:11Speaker 1: What is that on? It's Netflix. Oh, it's original. Oh, shit.
- 33:15Speaker 4: I got to start watching it. See, I'm pissed because
- 33:17Speaker 4: I started watching Into the Badlands.
- 33:20Speaker 1: It looked kind of cool. Dude, it was fucking awesome.
- 33:23Speaker 4: And I got like two episodes in, and then they
- 33:27Speaker 4: fucking yanked the series off of AMC.
- 33:31Speaker 1: I was like, dude, you guys suck.
- 33:33Speaker 4: I finally find a show that I actually... Like enough
- 33:36Speaker 4: that I'll sit down and watch it. Anybody that knows
- 33:40Speaker 4: me knows that I've been watching Strike Back for the
- 33:43Speaker 4: past three years, and I'm still on season two because
- 33:48Speaker 4: I don't have any time to do anything.
- 33:50Speaker 1: That's mine. I'm so picky.
- 33:52Speaker 2: All my letters to AMC finally went through.
- 33:55Speaker 4: So I'm going to have to sit down and try
- 33:57Speaker 4: to watch The Daredevil. We should sit down and watch that.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Yeah, it's worth it. Not right now, though. It's worth it.
- 34:02Speaker 2: Why? Not right this second?
- 34:03Speaker 4: Well, yeah, no, not right this second.
- 34:05Speaker 2: I have to get through. I was going to say
- 34:06Speaker 2: I have to get through American Horror Story.
- 34:08Speaker 1: That I've watched one episode of.
- 34:11Speaker 4: Carnival.
- 34:12Speaker 2: He keeps calling it Carnival. I'm like, bitch, I have
- 34:13Speaker 2: watched Carnival. Carnival was awesome.
- 34:15Speaker 1: Carnivow. I know.
- 34:16Speaker 3: Carnivow.
- 34:17Speaker 2: There were so many awesome things about Carnival. I'm not
- 34:20Speaker 2: even going to lie. I swear to God, Clancy Brown.
- 34:23Speaker 2: Why are you not at any conventions?
- 34:25Speaker 1: You can't go wrong with Clancy Brown.
- 34:26Speaker 2: You just can't.
- 34:27Speaker 1: Carnival to SpongeBob. You can't go wrong with Clancy Brown.
- 34:31Speaker 4: I never got to see Carnival.
- 34:32Speaker 3: Carnival.
- 34:33Speaker 2: Because it pissed me off. I've explained to you the
- 34:36Speaker 2: reason it's.
- 34:36Speaker 1: Pissed me off.
- 34:36Speaker 4: Yeah, you told me why it pissed you off.
- 34:38Speaker 1: It's the cable channel's fault, really.
- 34:40Speaker 2: If they would just do a movie to tie it up,
- 34:41Speaker 2: I would be appeased and I would be happy and
- 34:43Speaker 2: I'll be well in the world. But let's not do
- 34:44Speaker 2: a three season arc and just make it two seasons
- 34:47Speaker 2: and just forget about the other season.
- 34:48Speaker 1: Again, it almost came out too soon because people weren't
- 34:51Speaker 1: really into those series of shows. I feel like if
- 34:54Speaker 1: it came out like in the last couple of years
- 34:56Speaker 1: when the Netflix series thing was like.
- 34:58Speaker 2: The biggest thing in the world.
- 34:59Speaker 1: Netflix, pick this up. Really? You would think they would.
- 35:01Speaker 2: Clancy Brewer doesn't have anything better to do. Bring his
- 35:03Speaker 2: ass in. I'm serious. Why is he not at a convention?
- 35:06Speaker 2: At least like Wizard World.
- 35:07Speaker 1: You would think. We'd be hanging out with Clancy Brown.
- 35:10Speaker 2: I'm not really sure what my.
- 35:10Speaker 3: Did they ever make.
- 35:11Speaker 4: A second part to Hemlock Grove?
- 35:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:15Speaker 1: Why have we not watched that?
- 35:16Speaker 2: So much other shit to watch. Backlog.
- 35:18Speaker 1: There's a lot. That's what I'm saying.
- 35:20Speaker 4: I like that first one.
- 35:21Speaker 1: I'm super choosy with my seasons of stuff now.
- 35:24Speaker 2: You like some famke, Jansen.
- 35:26Speaker 4: I like me some famke.
- 35:27Speaker 2: I like that one guy whose name I forgot, but
- 35:29Speaker 2: he's Eric from True Blood's brother. In real life.
- 35:32Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, that guy, Eric's True Bloods Brother.
- 35:34Speaker 1: That's his name on his birth certificate.
- 35:38Speaker 4: Eric from True Bloods Brother.
- 35:39Speaker 2: Bill, I think his name's Bill. Bill.
- 35:43Speaker 4: Bill, Eric's True Bloods Brother.
- 35:45Speaker 1: I'm sure he approves of our description of him. So, yeah, to...
- 35:50Speaker 1: To counterbalance my dorky, geeky nonsense, then I went and
- 35:55Speaker 1: saw in the theater a showing of an Orson Welles film.
- 36:02Speaker 2: Really.
- 36:03Speaker 1: And this is the thing, though. I love Orson Welles.
- 36:06Speaker 1: So I was just like, and I knew this title,
- 36:08Speaker 1: so I was just like, it's supposedly one of his
- 36:10Speaker 1: big ones. And I'm like, all right, cool, let's go
- 36:12Speaker 1: see this, because they were doing a one-day showing of it.
- 36:15Speaker 1: I'm like, that's awesome.
- 36:17Speaker 2: Suck. It sucks.
- 36:20Speaker 1: It's Shakespeare-y. It is loads and loads of Shakespeare. Is
- 36:24Speaker 1: it words? Literally, it is five different Shakespeare plays sort
- 36:29Speaker 1: of woven into. He just bastardized it and did his
- 36:32Speaker 1: own damn thing with it. He just took the characters
- 36:34Speaker 1: and made his own Shakespeare almost.
- 36:36Speaker 4: Are there any aliens in it?
- 36:38Speaker 2: No aliens.
- 36:39Speaker 1: It's kind of.
- 36:39Speaker 2: No tentacles?
- 36:41Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 36:43Speaker 4: A rocket ship.
- 36:44Speaker 1: It chimes at midnight, and I.
- 36:47Speaker 2: I've never heard of this.
- 36:48Speaker 1: See, that's the thing. I've heard the title. I've heard
- 36:50Speaker 1: it regarded as one of his best movies, so I'm
- 36:52Speaker 1: just like, that's cool. Let's see it. I don't think
- 36:54Speaker 1: I even knew it was Shakespeare. I just knew it
- 36:56Speaker 1: by title. I just knew it had a great reputation.
- 36:59Speaker 1: And then watching it, it's just overwhelming Shakespeare. I feel
- 37:04Speaker 1: like Shakespeare in the past I've had a higher tolerance for, but...
- 37:08Speaker 1: Maybe I was just not in the mood for it
- 37:10Speaker 1: that day. Where did you see it? The new theater
- 37:12Speaker 1: at the Speed. They have a theater? They've always had
- 37:16Speaker 1: a theater, but when they... It's totally different. They leveled
- 37:19Speaker 1: the old one more or less, and it's a whole
- 37:21Speaker 1: new place. I've never been to the Speed.
- 37:22Speaker 4: You get to the point in the movie where you're
- 37:23Speaker 4: starting to look at the wallpaper, and you're picking out
- 37:27Speaker 4: the baseboards, and you're going, no, that's some nice trim there.
- 37:31Speaker 4: I could probably do a trim job like that in
- 37:33Speaker 4: my house, but....
- 37:36Speaker 2: It was.
- 37:37Speaker 1: Yeah, it wore on me pretty quick. But, like, again, it's,
- 37:40Speaker 1: the Orson Welles part of it is amazing. So I'm
- 37:43Speaker 1: glad I saw it because, again, it is shot phenomenally. Like,
- 37:47Speaker 1: it's black and white. And even though it's, like, 65, like,
- 37:50Speaker 1: he shot it specifically in black and white. Cinematography's amazing.
- 37:54Speaker 1: He found these, like, super impressive locations. Like, there's, literally,
- 37:59Speaker 1: it takes place in a castle that he went and found. And, like,
- 38:02Speaker 1: there's this giant, like, boarding house thing that they're in. Again,
- 38:06Speaker 1: it's set up to look amazing. And then there's just
- 38:10Speaker 1: a whole lot of Shakespeare dialogue.
- 38:11Speaker 2: Sounds like a nightmare I've had one time.
- 38:14Speaker 1: The thing that I had to at least check and
- 38:17Speaker 1: see because he plays Falstaff, which is a character in Shakespeare.
- 38:24Speaker 1: And I was like, is the character in Shakespeare meant
- 38:30Speaker 1: to be a large fellow? because this is 65, Orson
- 38:34Speaker 1: Welles was big by then. Not as huge as he
- 38:38Speaker 1: got towards the very end, but he was a big dude.
- 38:41Speaker 1: And it's to the point, it's kind of distracting as
- 38:45Speaker 1: the movie goes on. I'm like, damn, he got big.
- 38:48Speaker 1: And like, then he's like, at one point he's in
- 38:50Speaker 1: a more or less suit of armor or at least
- 38:52Speaker 1: like the chest plate portion.
- 38:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 38:54Speaker 1: Out in a battlefield. And this, I'm like, damn, that's
- 38:56Speaker 1: a lot of metal. Yeah. Just like, he's a big
- 38:59Speaker 1: dude running around.
- 39:00Speaker 2: He just strapped a car to him.
- 39:01Speaker 1: It was like a VW. And I'm just like, it's
- 39:04Speaker 1: really interesting.
- 39:05Speaker 4: He's not going to go running into battle.
- 39:06Speaker 1: He kind of was though. Like he was trying to
- 39:08Speaker 1: keep up with other, but it's, it is funny watching
- 39:11Speaker 1: him run around.
- 39:11Speaker 2: Or he's shambling into battle.
- 39:13Speaker 1: He was doing what he could. He was hanging in there.
- 39:15Speaker 4: He was cover. Everybody else just hides behind him.
- 39:20Speaker 1: It was interesting though because that's why I was like
- 39:24Speaker 1: trying to figure out if he was meant to be
- 39:25Speaker 1: that way in the original text because the characters in
- 39:29Speaker 1: the movie bring it up constantly. Like, you don't go 15,
- 39:33Speaker 1: 20 minutes without somebody making, like, a joke about how
- 39:36Speaker 1: big he is. Or somebody just referencing his size. And
- 39:40Speaker 1: I'm like, is this just his own weird little, like.
- 39:46Speaker 2: Which commercial was it that he showed up to pawn
- 39:48Speaker 2: something and he was all drunkard and shit?
- 39:50Speaker 1: Take your pick, probably. I mean, wasn't that still one
- 39:54Speaker 1: of the wine? Was it wine?
- 39:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 39:56Speaker 1: Because, I mean, he was pitching wine anyway. But, yeah,
- 40:00Speaker 1: I don't know if I was like, is it just
- 40:01Speaker 1: his own self-deprecating writing? Like, he's just... It's part of
- 40:05Speaker 1: his own weird, artist-y, self-loathing thing that he wrote these
- 40:08Speaker 1: lines that everybody makes fun of him the whole time.
- 40:10Speaker 1: I don't know. But, I mean, he is meant to be. Like,
- 40:13Speaker 1: in the character description, he is.
- 40:16Speaker 2: Does it say gelatinous?
- 40:18Speaker 1: It actually lists him as fat, vain, boastful, and cowardly. So,
- 40:23Speaker 1: I mean, he definitely plays it kind of like that. Like,
- 40:26Speaker 1: by the end, it is an interesting.
- 40:27Speaker 2: Hold on, that's a description of me.
- 40:31Speaker 3: No comment.
- 40:31Speaker 1: That's on grounds to incriminate myself. But no, he plays
- 40:38Speaker 1: it really well. By the end, I'm like, his character
- 40:41Speaker 1: is good. I don't know. You could have done a
- 40:46Speaker 1: different way to present all this. It wraps up kind
- 40:50Speaker 1: of interesting as a story, but just so much Shakespeare dialogue.
- 40:56Speaker 1: It gets overwhelming.
- 40:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I would not be a fan.
- 41:00Speaker 1: That's my take on it. I'd probably fall asleep. Yeah,
- 41:03Speaker 1: I surprisingly didn't. And that's kind of usually what I
- 41:05Speaker 1: do at the movies. So, I have a new wallet.
- 41:10Speaker 2: Uh-oh.
- 41:12Speaker 4: Is it a bad motherfucker?
- 41:13Speaker 1: No. Yes, it is.
- 41:15Speaker 2: Is it a trap?
- 41:16Speaker 1: His name is Admiral Ackbar. Look at that.
- 41:20Speaker 2: It feels like it's somebody's skin and not like from
- 41:22Speaker 2: an animal.
- 41:23Speaker 1: It might be.
- 41:24Speaker 4: Could be Admiral Ackbar's skin.
- 41:25Speaker 2: There's no money in this wallet.
- 41:28Speaker 1: That's why I handed it to you. Otherwise, not a
- 41:30Speaker 1: chance in hell.
- 41:30Speaker 4: Oh, right.
- 41:31Speaker 1: But yeah, look, that is handcrafted. She doesn't emboss anything.
- 41:36Speaker 2: Is it Corinthian leather?
- 41:38Speaker 1: Rich Corinthian leather. Literally, though, it is hand carved. She
- 41:43Speaker 1: doesn't emboss anything. All of that is hand carved.
- 41:46Speaker 2: I do love the smell of leather.

- 43:21Speaker 2: What's the discount code?
- 43:22Speaker 1: Meltdown 25. Hell yeah.
- 43:25Speaker 3: Why is it 25?
- 43:25Speaker 1: Because you get 25% off. Oh, okay.
- 43:27Speaker 3: All right.
- 43:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 43:29Speaker 1: Makes sense.
- 43:31Speaker 2: Being all logical and shit.
- 43:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 43:33Speaker 2: When you get 25 cents off. Yeah.
- 43:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 43:37Speaker 3: Okay. 25 cents.
- 43:37Speaker 5: Woo!
- 43:38Speaker 3: All right.
- 43:39Speaker 1: I just thought I would share that with you because
- 43:40Speaker 1: it's the coolest thing ever. You'll be seeing me busted
- 43:44Speaker 1: out as I blow money at conventions.
- 43:45Speaker 2: Oh, wait, you don't have money either. It's just the
- 43:48Speaker 2: way the wallet normally is.
- 43:50Speaker 4: You're watching him open his wallet and then look down
- 43:52Speaker 4: in misery as he doesn't have enough money to buy. Oh, crap.
- 43:57Speaker 1: Never mind. Help me out, Malakbar. You're my only hope.
- 44:00Speaker 2: It'll just be filled with naked random pictures of people. Oh, wait, no,
- 44:04Speaker 2: that's Todd.
- 44:05Speaker 1: I was going to say, I'm not Todd. If you
- 44:09Speaker 1: don't know.
- 44:09Speaker 4: Look at my uncle.
- 44:11Speaker 1: A weird character that hangs out at these conventions. Not
- 44:14Speaker 1: as much these days. If you would allow him, he
- 44:17Speaker 1: would be like, hey, look at this picture. And it
- 44:19Speaker 1: would just be horrible naked people that he carried in
- 44:21Speaker 1: his wallet.
- 44:22Speaker 2: In very odd positions.
- 44:23Speaker 1: Because he's creepy.
- 44:23Speaker 2: He's creepy.
- 44:27Speaker 4: Those aren't like pictures you cut out of a magazine.
- 44:29Speaker 4: Those are like pictures that some creepy guy took.
- 44:34Speaker 3: Yeah, Todd.
- 44:35Speaker 2: Hey.
- 44:36Speaker 1: I've told him he's creepy.
- 44:37Speaker 4: Hey, guy. You want to pose with your legs spread
- 44:41Speaker 4: on the hood of my 68 Plymouth?
- 44:46Speaker 2: Good times.
- 44:46Speaker 4: Yeah, it's those pictures. We will watch the shark movie.
- 44:53Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying.
- 44:54Speaker 4: There won't be anything to say about the shark movie.
- 44:56Speaker 3: The shark movie will be horrible.
- 44:57Speaker 4: Avalanche Shark. Oh, Avalanche Shark? You know it's going to
- 44:59Speaker 4: be horrible.
- 45:01Speaker 1: Is that our pick for dumb movies of the night?
- 45:03Speaker 1: I guess. We've been going back and forth over what
- 45:06Speaker 1: ridiculous and or possibly good, like we confused ourselves by
- 45:09Speaker 1: watching a couple of good trailers. You know that or
- 45:11Speaker 1: the Lamprey movie.
- 45:14Speaker 4: I'm from Avalanche Shark. Yeah, the shark looks horrible.
- 45:17Speaker 1: Look entertainingly bad. The Lamprey? I don't know what to
- 45:20Speaker 1: think of that one.
- 45:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 45:22Speaker 1: It's a shark movie. Wormy things coming at you.
- 45:26Speaker 2: What the hell are lampreys? Are they like leeches? They're eels.
- 45:29Speaker 3: Oh.
- 45:29Speaker 1: They attach themselves to sharks. When you're done making 4,000
- 45:33Speaker 1: shark movies, you have to eventually attach a lamprey movie
- 45:37Speaker 1: to your shark movie.
- 45:39Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 45:40Speaker 2: Super Sharks versus Electric Lampreys.
- 45:43Speaker 4: Well, no, they live in a happy, symbiotic relationship, so
- 45:48Speaker 4: they're not going to fight.
- 45:49Speaker 1: They're a symbiotic suit.
- 45:50Speaker 4: But they were like, you know, hey, the shark's got
- 45:52Speaker 4: a movie. Can we have a movie, too? And they
- 45:54Speaker 4: were like, sure.
- 45:55Speaker 1: Quit leeching off of me.
- 45:57Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 45:58Speaker 2: Give me your own movie. Okay, let's do this.
- 46:01Speaker 3: All right.
- 46:01Speaker 1: All right, we're going to take our break and go
- 46:03Speaker 1: watch this horrible shark movie. I mean, possibly good shark movie,
- 46:07Speaker 1: and then we'll be back to discuss it. No, it's
- 46:09Speaker 1: going to suck.
- 46:35Speaker 5: Just get me out of this.
- 47:25Speaker 1: I'm Joe Alves, and you're listening to Movie Mountain.
- 47:41Speaker 3: It's time for Sofa Theater.
- 47:45Speaker 1: The hell?
- 47:51Speaker 2: It's spring break, Sheriff. Yeah, everything goes.
- 47:54Speaker 4: Every spring break, the kids are all over each other
- 47:57Speaker 4: like rabbits on Viagra. So you know there's a story
- 47:59Speaker 4: around here about a mystical creature summoned to protect the mountain.
- 48:02Speaker 3: They say it swims through a little shark.
- 48:04Speaker 2: How is that possible?
- 48:06Speaker 4: Nowhere to hide! They've tasted human flesh!
- 48:10Speaker 1: Something strange is going on here, because we've got five
- 48:12Speaker 1: missing persons.
- 48:13Speaker 5: What happened?
- 48:14Speaker 2: Sharks, man!
- 48:15Speaker 4: Sharks!
- 48:15Speaker 2: They swim through the snow like other sharks move through water.
- 48:18Speaker 3: Snow sharks.
- 48:19Speaker 4: There's two people who were killed up there.
- 48:21Speaker 1: Skookum is this beast that lurks in the mountains, preying
- 48:24Speaker 1: on hapless skiers and snowboarders. Snow's gonna run red with
- 48:31Speaker 1: your blood.
- 48:41Speaker 4: What the hell did we get ourselves into?
- 48:44Speaker 2: A mess.
- 48:44Speaker 5: All right.
- 49:06Speaker 1: We're back are we now do we want to be
- 49:11Speaker 1: back and sorry we made the decision we made bad choices.
- 49:17Speaker 1: We all learn about bad choices in life. This is
- 49:20Speaker 1: one of those times.
- 49:21Speaker 2: Very, very much. There was no nurse. Was there a nurse?
- 49:24Speaker 2: Did I miss a nurse? Because apparently Gina Holden was
- 49:26Speaker 2: supposed to be a nurse in this, and I don't
- 49:28Speaker 2: remember seeing a Gina Holden.
- 49:29Speaker 1: There's that dude wearing a jacket with a cross on it,
- 49:31Speaker 1: but that did not look like a nurse. There were nurses. So, this.
- 49:39Speaker 1: This week's Summit Theater feature is Avalanche Sharks.
- 49:43Speaker 2: Also known as?
- 49:44Speaker 1: Snow Sharks. Also known as Stupid.
- 49:49Speaker 2: I've seen some shitty movies in my days, and I've
- 49:51Speaker 2: usually enjoyed them to some extent, but my biggest enjoyment
- 49:54Speaker 2: of this movie was sitting and reading the titles of
- 49:56Speaker 2: films that the other actresses have been in.
- 49:58Speaker 1: Which we will get to.
- 49:59Speaker 2: We will.
- 50:00Speaker 1: The year is 2013. The director, if you want to
- 50:06Speaker 1: call him that, Scott Wheeler. And the plot, according to IMDb.
- 50:13Speaker 1: According to IMDb. Avalanche Sharks tells the story of a
- 50:18Speaker 1: bikini contest that turns into a horrifying affair when it
- 50:23Speaker 1: is hit by a shark avalanche. None of those things
- 50:27Speaker 1: actually happen.
- 50:28Speaker 2: I don't remember any of this happening.
- 50:30Speaker 1: No, there's not.
- 50:31Speaker 4: It sounds like maybe they had a script and they
- 50:33Speaker 4: were just like, you know what?
- 50:35Speaker 1: Let's do this. Let's shoot this.
- 50:37Speaker 4: Let's do this next.
- 50:38Speaker 1: Let's just wing it. Who needs a script?
- 50:41Speaker 4: Storyline?
- 50:42Speaker 1: What's a storyline?
- 50:43Speaker 2: According to the trivia, this was said to be an
- 50:45Speaker 2: indirect sequel to Sandsharks, which was 10 billion times.
- 50:48Speaker 4: Better, by the way.
- 50:50Speaker 1: That's sad.
- 50:51Speaker 2: And Brooke Hogan was set to star, but had to
- 50:53Speaker 2: drop out due to scheduling conflicts, or she read the script.
- 50:56Speaker 3: Or there was no script.
- 50:57Speaker 2: Yeah, there wasn't. Was she in Sandsharks? She was in
- 51:01Speaker 2: one of them. Was Sandsharks the one I liked?
- 51:03Speaker 1: Was she a doctor?
- 51:04Speaker 2: I think she was. She was something smart, which was
- 51:08Speaker 2: a total stretch for her.
- 51:11Speaker 1: Scott Wheeler has directed eight things, the most recent of
- 51:15Speaker 1: which is Attack of the Killer Donuts.
- 51:19Speaker 2: What?
- 51:19Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 51:21Speaker 1: Before Snow Sharks was Sinkhole. Sounds about right. We just
- 51:27Speaker 1: watched a fucking sinkhole. 2010 would be MILF. 2009, Transmorphers,
- 51:30Speaker 1: Fall of Man.
- 51:39Speaker 3: What?
- 51:39Speaker 2: Transmorphers. It's not like transporters. Transformers.
- 51:43Speaker 1: I'm assuming they did a couple of knockoffs of Transformers
- 51:47Speaker 1: called Transmorphers. And before that, Journey to the Center of
- 51:51Speaker 1: the Earth. Straight to video, like all of his titles are.
- 51:56Speaker 1: He knows his area of expertise. Straight to video.
- 52:01Speaker 2: Hey, one of these guys was also in MILF, so
- 52:06Speaker 2: maybe they all know each other.
- 52:08Speaker 1: From their other career. Because I also decided as the
- 52:12Speaker 1: third alternate title should just be Porn Sharks. Because, again,
- 52:18Speaker 1: as she said, early into this experience that we just had,
- 52:23Speaker 1: Misty had a second screen experience, I think is how
- 52:26Speaker 1: you bill this now, where while we were watching the film,
- 52:30Speaker 1: as it were, She also had the phone out and
- 52:34Speaker 1: then started looking up the other things. Each time we
- 52:37Speaker 1: were like, who is this dumb blonde chick? Where have
- 52:39Speaker 1: I seen her before? And then we hadn't seen her
- 52:42Speaker 1: before because the only thing any of them had done
- 52:44Speaker 1: was porn titles.
- 52:46Speaker 2: At least two of the actresses. That was like the complete.
- 52:49Speaker 4: Full on porn actress.
- 52:50Speaker 2: Not even like slightly like, that could be a real movie. No,
- 52:54Speaker 2: my roommate's a lesbian three. Celebrity sex tape. Roped and
- 52:59Speaker 2: Groped 8.
- 53:01Speaker 1: There's a lot of bondage in their titles, by the way.
- 53:03Speaker 2: Dressed Up and Trust Up, Nice and Nude. Sweet Stocking Beauties.
- 53:09Speaker 2: Bad Bosses and Bondage. Barefoot Wonders. Oh, where was the
- 53:12Speaker 2: one I liked the best? Hold on, let me find
- 53:14Speaker 2: that one.
- 53:14Speaker 1: Yeah, there is a couple.
- 53:15Speaker 2: Sexy Girls, Sexier Feet. Helpless Heroines Under Restraint. There's a
- 53:20Speaker 2: whole series of the Helpless Heroines ones.
- 53:25Speaker 1: I mean, not that I've seen them, right?
- 53:27Speaker 2: Damsels dressed in costumes and ropes. Oh, where's the one
- 53:29Speaker 2: that I like?
- 53:30Speaker 1: There was one that was catchier. It might be on
- 53:33Speaker 1: the other girls.
- 53:33Speaker 2: Yeah, it might have been the other chick. I mean, yeah.
- 53:36Speaker 2: Let's go back to the other chick. The other porn girl.
- 53:38Speaker 2: I can't remember which one she was. No doubt. Oh,
- 53:42Speaker 2: it was the Erica Jordan. I'm sure some listener out
- 53:46Speaker 2: there might be familiar with her work.
- 53:50Speaker 1: I downloaded all her five-minute movies.
- 53:53Speaker 2: Yeah, no doubt. The All-American Bikini Car Wash. That one
- 53:57Speaker 2: could be... She's also in Sharknado 3. Oh, hell no.
- 54:03Speaker 2: Where she plays NASA engineer Harleen Quinn. Harleen Quinn, uncredited.
- 54:12Speaker 1: Would you want your name officially added to anything?
- 54:14Speaker 2: Bikini Avengers.
- 54:16Speaker 4: The Bikini Event.
- 54:17Speaker 1: I mean, that's kind of a fun title. I at
- 54:20Speaker 1: least like that.
- 54:20Speaker 2: Scams, Plots, and Girls in Knots.
- 54:23Speaker 1: Okay, that was one of the better ones title-wise.
- 54:27Speaker 2: Baird Bound and Struggling.
- 54:29Speaker 1: That's the way I like.
- 54:33Speaker 2: Them. Baird Breasted Nice Girls Bound for Trouble. Sexy Squirming Squealers.
- 54:40Speaker 1: This just sounds like a description on a police report.
- 54:43Speaker 2: Stacked Racks from Mars. Bondage. Every which way but loose.
- 54:49Speaker 1: Is there an orangutan in that one? Right turn, Clyde.
- 54:54Speaker 2: It's never enough trickling.
- 54:59Speaker 1: There is a whole tickling theme on these, aren't there?
- 55:01Speaker 2: Unbound, gagged, and menaced. Intergalactic swingers. Costumed damsels in bondage trouble.
- 55:07Speaker 2: Strippers from another world. The squeals of ticklish nice girls. What?
- 55:13Speaker 2: Why is this a thing?
- 55:16Speaker 1: People have a lot of free time.
- 55:17Speaker 2: Chicklish, gigglish girls. Aww. Grab and bind of Erica Jordan.
- 55:23Speaker 2: Robe work massage for a captive masseuse.
- 55:26Speaker 1: I don't even know what those words mean.
- 55:29Speaker 2: Not one put together in this order. Carnal candidate, political kink.
- 55:33Speaker 2: It's hard to say. It's not a catchy slogan at all.
- 55:37Speaker 2: Completely helpless honeys.
- 55:41Speaker 1: This was the whole movie.
- 55:42Speaker 2: Yeah. Helpless heroines under restraint. I think I mentioned that
- 55:45Speaker 2: for the other one. They might have worked together.
- 55:47Speaker 1: I'm sure they worked together.
- 55:49Speaker 3: That's how we're putting it.
- 55:50Speaker 2: Costume girls betrayed and bound. Spicy rap girls.
- 55:55Speaker 4: A lot of spicy rap girls.
- 55:57Speaker 2: Spicy rap girls.
- 55:59Speaker 1: I mean, maybe that's just them making a rap. Tickle
- 56:01Speaker 1: them until they squeal. They work the counter at a
- 56:04Speaker 1: sandwich shop. And they're just like, hey, would you like
- 56:06Speaker 1: a spicy rap?
- 56:08Speaker 2: Vivacious victims of tickle torment.
- 56:11Speaker 1: See, there's a lot of bondage and tickling. I like
- 56:14Speaker 1: where they're going with it.
- 56:15Speaker 2: Lesbianage 2, Black Stars Revenge. That's my favorite.
- 56:19Speaker 1: That's my new favorite.
- 56:21Speaker 2: Lesbianage 2, Black Stars Revenge. She plays Ava. Rip my panties. What?
- 56:29Speaker 1: Are you kidding me? What the fuck comes up with
- 56:34Speaker 1: that shit?
- 56:36Speaker 2: Look, I'm not making it up.
- 56:37Speaker 1: She's not making it up either. Ava, rip my panties.
- 56:41Speaker 2: Oh, you clicked on it.
- 56:43Speaker 1: Well, yeah. You want to find out more about Ava,
- 56:46Speaker 1: rip my panties.
- 56:46Speaker 2: The gorgeous Ava, rip my panties, has gained control of
- 56:50Speaker 2: the evil Blackstar spy organization. This looks like a sequel.
- 56:55Speaker 1: Well, damn it, I'm going to be lost now. I
- 56:56Speaker 1: haven't seen the first one.
- 56:57Speaker 2: After the untimely demise of former leader... Helga von Dykeskenberg. Ava,
- 57:06Speaker 2: along with her team of beautiful operatives, attempt to sneak
- 57:09Speaker 2: into Glamacorp's impenetrable headquarters in order to exact their revenge. However,
- 57:14Speaker 2: the lonely spies at Glamacorp aren't going to go down
- 57:17Speaker 2: so easily. Hold on, hold on, hold on. Agent Kelly,
- 57:23Speaker 2: boobs are fine.
- 57:24Speaker 4: Subtle.
- 57:27Speaker 2: Reveals a twist that Blockstar ladies never saw coming.
- 57:30Speaker 1: Impenetrable.
- 57:34Speaker 2: Hold on. I want to know the names of all
- 57:36Speaker 2: the cast.
- 57:38Speaker 5: Oh, God.
- 57:38Speaker 2: How about saying that one out loud?
- 57:40Speaker 1: Wait, what?
- 57:42Speaker 2: Is it Pushtrami?
- 57:47Speaker 1: That's creepy is what that is. Oh, Pushtrami.
- 57:55Speaker 4: Yeah. Ava ripped my panties.
- 57:58Speaker 3: Lux.
- 57:59Speaker 4: Cassidy? They don't have a name.
- 58:01Speaker 2: None of the rest of them have names.
- 58:04Speaker 1: They ran out of ideas.
- 58:06Speaker 2: There's only five actresses.
- 58:07Speaker 3: Come on.
- 58:07Speaker 4: I could have came up with some names.
- 58:11Speaker 2: Do we actually have to talk about the movie?
- 58:15Speaker 1: This is way more entertaining than that movie was.
- 58:19Speaker 2: I can't believe they tied me up. Two. She loves
- 58:25Speaker 2: to bind breasts. None of these are as good as
- 58:28Speaker 2: the other one. Now I feel let down. I wish
- 58:31Speaker 2: I would have read about the original movie. Chloroform danger.
- 58:37Speaker 2: Chloroformed pinup girls. Apparently this is a genre.
- 58:40Speaker 1: Oh, I'm sure it is.
- 58:42Speaker 2: Evil men chloroform pretty girls.
- 58:46Speaker 1: These guys have very specific needs in their form. I
- 58:50Speaker 1: like a girl that doesn't fight back.
- 58:53Speaker 2: Oh, Bikini Avengers. They have interesting names in that one. No, Laurie, Stephanie,
- 58:59Speaker 2: Jade Empress. Princess Brushka. Anyways.
- 59:05Speaker 1: This dumb movie that we actually watched.
- 59:09Speaker 2: Which was not up. by the way there was no
- 59:11Speaker 2: boobies yeah we didn't even have that i mean there
- 59:13Speaker 2: was like there was.
- 59:15Speaker 1: Cleavage girls but they were all unattractive.
- 59:18Speaker 2: Too and half the cast was like they would what
- 59:21Speaker 2: where who was this cast because they would bring in
- 59:23Speaker 2: people and like five minutes later like I thought these
- 59:25Speaker 2: people were the stars. Who the hell are these people?
- 59:27Speaker 2: Where is P-Girl? I have no idea what's going on.
- 59:29Speaker 1: We never saw P-Girl again.
- 59:31Speaker 2: I have no idea what happened to her. She's one
- 59:32Speaker 2: of the porn girls we were talking about. I'm thinking
- 59:34Speaker 2: she got an offer after.
- 59:36Speaker 1: The first day. She showed up for the first day
- 59:38Speaker 1: of shooting. They shot her peeing in the vehicle. Did
- 59:41Speaker 1: she actually pee in the vehicle? No. She just threatened to.
- 59:44Speaker 1: It's funnier. And then the scene at the very beginning
- 59:47Speaker 1: in the house. And then she got a call on
- 59:50Speaker 1: her cell phone. And she was like, oh, got to
- 59:52Speaker 1: go do some porn. And she disappeared immediately. Because the
- 59:55Speaker 1: other characters also disappeared for like 25 minutes. And then
- 59:59Speaker 1: eventually we're like, wait, that's like itinerary guy. He's still
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: a doofus. He's back. And then the old blonde lady
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: showed up.
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure it was somebody's grandma.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: She's supposed to be like the same age as P-Girl.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: But like she's easily like 15 years older than her.
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: At least.
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: If that.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: So, yeah. I don't know. They just disappeared. They kept
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: bringing in new characters.
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: And the only character's name who I remembered is one
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: of the guys who died. Because they kept asking, where's Ross?
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: Where's Ross? Where's Ross?
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: Ross is dead. Oh, my God.
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: Ross is dead. Who the fuck else was in this movie?
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: I don't know, buddy, but Ross.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: And Ross is four years old because he writes his
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: name on his shit. In case I get eaten, I
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: better write my name on my goggles. Yeah.
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: In big letters.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: In big, blocky letters. Like, I drew that picture of
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: a shark.
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: Unless it's just, like, the brand of the goggles. And
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: they were just like, let's just stand the character. Well, yeah.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: I was like, is that what it was? Except it
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: was kind of hand scribbled on there. So, yeah. I
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: mentioned the hand drawing earlier. Is that not the best
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: thing about this movie?
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: That was the entire best thing about this movie. It
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: was a child... Hell, it could have been a grown-ass person.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: It might have been that actual swoopy-haired girl.
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: It might have actually been that. Because the one person
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: who's been in anything else that we've ever actually seen
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: was the chick who was in Transporter 2, whose name
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: I really don't know.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: She has weird blonde swoopy hair in this movie, and
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: she's the main girl in Transformer 2.
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: Anyways, apparently.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: Not Transmorphers.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: Not Transmorphers. But apparently... This is not the first time
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: that the snow avalanche sharks have come about. Apparently they
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: were about when she was a child, and they ate
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: her parents. That might have been a spoiler alert.
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: I hate when that happens. Only for her life, though.
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: But yeah, anyway, so apparently as a child, she drew
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: this picture of her parents getting eaten by these snow sharks.
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: I'm telling you, that's the best part of the movie.
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: That shark is pretty well-rendered. It looked more realistic than
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: the sharks that were CG'd into this movie.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: I gotta say, it's pretty cool. You look like you've
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: seen a ghost. You guys need to get out of here, okay?
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: Out of the top or the whole area?
- 1:01:58Speaker 4: Something's killed five people and we think it killed Hucker
- 1:02:00Speaker 4: and Shredder.
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: No lie? Is this some kind of sick joke?
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: Because you guys are totally bringing me down.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: This isn't a joke, okay? We're getting out of here
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: and I suggest you guys do too. Okay, that doesn't
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: make any sense.
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: People don't just randomly die.
- 1:02:12Speaker 4: Somebody probably just took somebody else's car by mistake, and
- 1:02:15Speaker 4: so it seems like they're missing.
- 1:02:16Speaker 5: But they're not.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: Look, there's a creature. It's a killer. Well, you know.
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: Cheryl said Ross was missing.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: Maybe he's in the car.
- 1:02:28Speaker 5: What car?
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: Maybe. Hey, you can break up the hot dog party.
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: Get out now, now, now, now, now!
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: Go, go, go!
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: Oh, that was awesome! What the hell? Nothing's going to happen.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: This movie.
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: Was just a train wreck. It was just a mess
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: from beginning to end. Every character in this movie was hateable.
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: You did not like one person in this movie.
- 1:03:01Speaker 4: Not even the fake Marine.
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: I'm a Marine.
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: He was not a Marine.
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: I'm a Marine.
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: I'm going to keep telling everybody I'm a Marine so
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: that you realize.
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: That I'm a Marine. Wasn't that growth on his forehead
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: that I'm pretty sure was an underdeveloped Siamese twin? It
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: was so weird. At least they put a hat on
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: him through most of the movie.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: I'm telling you, that was the best move that they made.
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: I didn't recognize him for a while.
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: I'm like, who the fuck is this guy? Who's that guy?
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: He doesn't have a growth on his head. So luckily
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: his toboggan pulled down far enough that it covered up
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: his other twin.
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: Didn't cover up the fact that he's an abusive asshole.
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: He elbowed his girlfriend in the face.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: Like for no reason. Like it didn't factor in somehow
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: in that scene.
- 1:03:38Speaker 4: Well, she tried to grab him to get him to stop.
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: And he does. He goes, get the fuck off me.
- 1:03:45Speaker 4: Elbow like straight up.
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: Wasn't even like an accident. Like. I pull him back
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: from the other guy. He like straight up.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:03:52Speaker 4: Back elbow.
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: I was just, I was upset in the face. She
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: didn't bleed. She hit somebody in the nose that fucking hard.
- 1:03:58Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: Cause it looked like she just got nailed right in
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: the nose.
- 1:04:01Speaker 4: I've hit somebody like that before. They'll bust their nose.
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: They couldn't afford the blood.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: They ran out of orange paint.
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: They ran out of orange food coloring.
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: That was the other thing. Cause I mean, if you
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: go back like old, old, like, you know, sixties and
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: seventies horror, It's usually that, like, theater blood, which had
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: to be, like, super red. So I'm like, I could
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: even understand if it was, like, a weird, like, look
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: like a can of paint kind of red.
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: It's orange.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: It's just fucking orange in this movie.
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: It looks like Kool-Aid.
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: And when it's in the snow, it looks like an
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: orange snow cone. And I'm just like, is that really,
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: is that orange flavor? Does somebody have to lick that
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: shit up later?
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: Taste it and find out.
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: Ugh, dude, this was horrible, even by my standards. And
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: I usually have. Pretty low standards for shark movies.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: Obviously, you've seen a lot of them.
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: I have, and I'm usually like, this was pretty awesome.
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: I can get behind it. Like I said, Sand Sharks
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: was good. Two-Headed Shark Attack was pretty good. Shark Night,
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: which is a completely different level. That's an actual movie.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: And what is in the sci-fi original? Shark Night was
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: really good.
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: Which is the one where they're in the grocery store?
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: That's the Australian one.
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: That was pretty fun.
- 1:05:05Speaker 4: That one was pretty decent.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: I liked that one.
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: I have it. Bait.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: Bait.
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: Bait, yeah.
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: Because I keep thinking not the one that has the.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: Not Jamie Foxx.
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: Not Jamie Foxx movie.
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: The other bait.
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: That one was really good.
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: That one's fun.
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: I like that.
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: One. Ghost Shark, which I have not yet watched, but that...
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: How can you go wrong with Ghost Shark?
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: I mean, that's kind of what we're dealing with here.
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: But this one floats through the air.
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: Dino Ice Demon Ghost Sharks. I'm like, what are they?
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: And it doesn't make any sense. Like, they just sort
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: of appear. So they really are ghost sharks, essentially.
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: They're demons. They were summoned up by the Indians.
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: Native Americans got pissed off because these stupid people showed up.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: And then they created them.
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: Well, because they had the Indians. It was a whole
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: backstory that this douchebag kept insisting on telling girls and
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: nobody fucking cared.
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: Yeah. Even that unattractive girl. Or that other unattractive girl.
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: That one unattractive girl who was just too pissy for
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: her own damn good for no reason.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: I'm like, you don't even know. She started pissy.
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: You don't even know how much of an asshole he
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: is yet. You need to call him your shit, bitch.
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: After he tries to make out with you in the
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: ski lift for no, like, no, like.
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: No, go ahead.
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: No, go ahead. Whatsoever. Then you can give him that
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: dirty bitch face. But you just need to, hold on.
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: He's trying to be.
- 1:06:16Speaker 4: She was dirty bitch face the whole time.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: It's just bad acting, though. It's like, he hadn't earned
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: that look yet. Why are you automatically giving him that,
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: except you didn't really, like.
- 1:06:25Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:06:26Speaker 4: Your character, you're a bitch. And she's like, okay, I'm
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: just a bitch.
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: That's your motivation.
- 1:06:32Speaker 4: No, you've got to wait.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: We're going out of the director giving notes. No, more bitchy,
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: more bitchy. Faster, more intense.
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: Yeah, this was just horrible. There was no, aside from
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: the child scrawl, you know, scribble of a shark, there
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: was no redeeming qualities of this movie.
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: Not really.
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: The crazy old guy. I find him at least entertaining
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: in a crazy way because he was just buckets of nuts.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: I still like the dog. The dog at the beginning.
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: The dog's like, what the fuck am I even doing
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: in this movie?
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: The actors are doing their bad acting around him and
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: the dog kind of looks at the camera like, what
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: the fuck are we doing?
- 1:07:05Speaker 4: Yeah, the dog looks like it's got more acting experience
- 1:07:08Speaker 4: than the actual actors.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: No amount of milk bones is worth this.
- 1:07:11Speaker 4: There's more personality and more character and intelligence in that
- 1:07:17Speaker 4: dog when there wasn't the whole cast.
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: The rest of the people.
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: Yeah, just the random characters showing up. You're like, who
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: the fuck is this guy? I don't know who this
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: person is.
- 1:07:28Speaker 4: It was one of those where everybody's like, hey, you
- 1:07:32Speaker 4: want to be in a movie?
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I want to be in a movie.
- 1:07:34Speaker 4: Will you give me a part? You know, we don't
- 1:07:37Speaker 4: really have you in this movie. We already have a...
- 1:07:40Speaker 4: I'll give you a blowjob. Okay, you're in the movie.
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: Wait, wait, wait.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: I can write a scene.
- 1:07:46Speaker 4: I can write a scene.
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: We've got a hot tub. I can put you in
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: the hot tub. Don't worry.
- 1:07:51Speaker 4: If you let me tickle you, I'll give you.
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: An extra finish.
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: I mean, I have to tie you up first, and
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: then there's some tickling, and then we might film it
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: and make six other movies.
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: There might be some chloroform involved.
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: But here, sign here.
- 1:08:07Speaker 4: Yeah, that's about the way it was. Because there was.
- 1:08:10Speaker 4: There was characters that came up, and we were like,
- 1:08:11Speaker 4: who the fuck are these people? And where did they go?
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: Yeah, there are characters that just disappear. Like I said, P-Girl.
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: Again, she had to get another job because she never
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: came back. At least the other two finally reappear 20
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: minutes later.
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: Because it's very misleading because you think, oh, these are
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: the assholes we're going to be stuck with through this
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: entire movie.
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: I mean, you can do one or the other. You
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: either start off with your main characters and you follow
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: them or you do the fake out and you start
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: out with these people and then they all get killed
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: or something and we switch to a new group of people.
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: But we didn't do that. They safely got there. They
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: went on about their P-Girl way. And like we switch
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: gears and we start watching the sheriff or some other.
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: And then it is like 15 minutes later. We're like, wait,
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: what the hell happened to those other people? Like they
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: never finished that story. And then they just. sort of
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: wander back into nine other storylines.
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: Going on do we need to explain what we call
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: our p girl or is that would that be a
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: spoiler alert.
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: I hope you well if you're smart you won't watch
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: this movie but She threatens to pee in the guy's car.
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: Because he won't stop and let her go pee.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: That's why we call the other one itinerary. Because he
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: has an itinerary of where they're supposed to be and
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: what time they pick up the luggage and when there's
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: a scheduled pee stop.
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: And she slept through the scheduled pee stop. And she's like,
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: you will stop the car or I will pee in
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: your car. So she was henceforth known as P-Girl.
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: And he said, that's okay as long as I can
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: tie you up first and we film it. Because Tied
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: Up P-Girls is a different title we're making on our
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: other label.
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: Tickle Tickle P. Tied Up Tickle Tickle P.
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm just, yeah, what the hell.
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: You're going to be looking at Redbox on the way home.
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: Okay, so, I mean, again, if we're trying to apply
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: any sort of logic to this, which is a stupid idea.
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: Why would we apply any logic to this mess?
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: Why don't they just ghost their way to wherever the
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: fuck they want? Because they're ghost shark demons. So, like...
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: When they're hiding in that orange slab that pops up
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: out of nowhere, why is it magically on snow level?
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: There was an avalanche. There was an avalanche.
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: But they didn't, once again, there's such bad editing in
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: this because then there's like the dog that just disappears
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: and like later we're like, oh, I guess he got eaten.
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: There was blood.
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: They couldn't animate that extra two seconds of a dog
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: getting eaten or that would just, you know, people don't
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: want to see a dog getting eaten.
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: That would just be silly.
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: Let's just put a weird orange spot in the snow
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: and call it a, choice dog got eaten dog got
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: eaten moving on So like, yeah, they would just switch
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: gears all of a sudden because they didn't feel like
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: doing that part. So this one, yeah, we had a bad, again,
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: I said that didn't look like an avalanche. It looks
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: like the scene got ripped in half.
- 1:10:55Speaker 4: Yeah, it did.
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: Digitally. And then like, I guess we were supposed to
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: think the snow covered that building, but you didn't even
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: recognize that it was that same building. Until you were
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: in it. There's just an orange slab that they're poking
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: their head out of. But I'm like, okay, so now
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: if that's underground where the sharks are quote unquote swimming,
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: why can't they just swim the right in there? Because
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: they're ghost demon jerks.
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: And if they can swim up to the bottom of
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: a jacuzzi, why can't they just swim up to the floor?
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: As she said, she's like, they busted on up through
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: a jacuzzi. Why wouldn't they just come right inside of
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: that building?
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: Let's talk about firearm safety for a minute.
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: Let's talk about bad firearm hanging.
- 1:11:33Speaker 4: Let's sweep everybody in the room.
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: Interior design.
- 1:11:36Speaker 4: Let's just point our guns at everybody in the room.
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: Interior design, damn it. There was not enough room to
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: hang that rifle in between the windows. just go ahead
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: and hang it there anyway.
- 1:11:46Speaker 4: Well if you're if you're a police department you're gonna
- 1:11:48Speaker 4: keep that stuff locked up you're not.
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: Gonna hang it on the wall on the wall with
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: the bullets on it or in it because like the
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: rifle had like the little thing.
- 1:11:56Speaker 4: With the shotgun yeah it had the side saddle on it.
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: But with the ammunition there like you would have it
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: like separate maybe or like.
- 1:12:04Speaker 4: The thing i was laughing about was the cop he
- 1:12:07Speaker 4: pulls one of the shotguns off the wall And he
- 1:12:10Speaker 4: starts loading it while he's talking dramatically about, you know,
- 1:12:13Speaker 4: we're going to go out there and we're going to
- 1:12:14Speaker 4: find these people. All the while he's waving it right
- 1:12:18Speaker 4: at the people that he's talking to.
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: Gun safety.
- 1:12:22Speaker 4: Gun safety. Very much lacking in this movie. But don't
- 1:12:26Speaker 4: get me started on that.
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: How about the Marine who's shooting at the shark while
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: it's circling the guy they want to save? Yeah. Like,
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: do you really want to save this guy? Because you're
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: kind of firing in his general direction really rapidly.
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: That guy was a dick the whole movie.
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: Everybody in this movie was a dick the whole movie.
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: Well, yeah, I can't argue that. That guy was really annoying.
- 1:12:45Speaker 4: He was like, run to the car! And they all ran,
- 1:12:47Speaker 4: and he just kind of stood back.
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: He was waiting to make sure they made it first.
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: That was the decoys.
- 1:12:51Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: Using his girlfriend that he hit in the face as
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: a decoy bait dummy. Oh, my God.
- 1:12:58Speaker 4: He whacked her right in the fucking schnoz.
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: She was talking about the end.
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: If you want to call it.
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: At the end, they're sitting in the vehicle. The survivors,
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: one of them, are driving away. And she was just like,
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: don't look back. Don't ever look back. And the driver
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: looks back. I'm like, motherfucker, did you not listen to
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: a goddamn woman? What did she just say? he probably
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: reached back to punch her i mean seriously she just
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: don't look she was all dramatic don't look back never
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: look back.
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: And like that was like some sort of callback just
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: like again it was like a really well-written plot point
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: that we're returning to no it's just a random thing
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: she said and now i guess it's supposed to have
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: them yeah it's supposed to have some sort of meaning
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: as the fake cg shark jumps at the screen I
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: don't know. I'm like, that didn't really have any weight
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: to it, so why are you pretending like it does?
- 1:13:50Speaker 2: And the only character in this movie that I did
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: not want to see get eaten.
- 1:13:53Speaker 3: Other than the dogs.
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: Other than the dogs. Skinny legs.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: Hey, I did like that skinny, skinny, skinny, weird stick woman.
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: The Asian lady who did not speak English.
- 1:14:03Speaker 4: Little shark gloves.
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: She had the cutest little mittens. I don't know if
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: they were sharks or killer whales, but they were so cute.
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: They were cool. But yeah, her whole thing in the movie,
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: I don't speak English. That was about it.
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: That was most of her lines.
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: She extreme, though. Backside extreme.
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: Speaking of extreme, I think that's what got this movie made.
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: I think they got a grant from the GoPro Foundation.
- 1:14:28Speaker 4: That whole thing, I swear, shot on GoPro.
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: They were just like, hey, they gave us a whole
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: bunch of GoPros. You want to go shoot some bad
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: ski footage and then build a fake shark movie around it?
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: Yeah, sign me up for that. Which, surprisingly, a lot
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: of people said, because they were everywhere. Like I said,
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: the cast was ridiculous, and I don't remember when half
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: of them died.
- 1:14:49Speaker 4: A lot of them died just really fast, because they
- 1:14:52Speaker 4: were like, here's a character, and then they got eaten.
- 1:14:56Speaker 4: And that was it.
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: But it's pretty much Jaws, but in the snow. Because
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: there was a whole, oh, it's spring break. We can't
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: close down the mountain because it's our peak time of
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: the year.
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: I mean, all of these movies are always just a
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: ripoff of Jaws. I mean, half the horror movies out
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: there become a template ripoff of Jaws. But this one, yeah.
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: I mean, when you've got the owner of the resort
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: being like, this is the peak time of spring break
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: and we can't. Not that he ever mentioned the bikini
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: contest that was going on or whatever stupid thing it
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: said in the description that never happened. But yeah, you've
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: got him and the mayor shows up, of course.
- 1:15:35Speaker 3: The mayor of Amnesty.
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: I mean, of the snow town.
- 1:15:40Speaker 3: Amity.
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: It's A-M-I-T-Y. Amity is the name of the town in Jaws.
- 1:15:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: The mayor shows up.
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: Of course he does.
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: He's got to back the keep the money coming plan.
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: Watch out! It's okay.
- 1:16:09Speaker 4: It's okay. I see a bandage.
- 1:16:14Speaker 3: Maybe some stitches.
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: I did run across this little review-ish thing on the
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: internet here. I'm writing this short report as a warning
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: to resist the temptation to watch this one. There must
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: be something better to do with an hour and a
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: half of your life. I multitasked by finishing a novel
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: while this was on. Avoid this one and watch a
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: 50s creature feature instead if you crave some light monster fun.
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: They must have used up all the silly shark film
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: ideas by now. Or have they? I also like the
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: one down here that says, Not sure what I expected.
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: Watched a few minutes. Wondered how bad it could be.
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: And well, now I know.
- 1:16:59Speaker 2: Yeah, on the IMDB, I didn't see one favorable review.
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: Why would there be?
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: Are you on there, or are you on something else?
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: This was letterboxed. So, I don't know. Is there anything
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: else we need to pass along about this fine film
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: we watched?
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: Horrible, horrible, horrible. I can't even come up with anything
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: remotely positive to say about this.
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: I mean, we had a lot of fun reading porn
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: titles because of this. We would have never stumbled upon
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: the rabbit hole full of porn titles that we got
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: to because of this movie. That's the most positive thing.
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: I was disappointed that Gina Holden wasn't in it because
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: she's listed in the credits and I'm like, did she
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: get cut? Because I didn't see a Gina Holden in here.
- 1:17:41Speaker 2: I didn't see a nurse.
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: She went the way of Brooke Hogan.
- 1:17:44Speaker 3: Maybe.
- 1:17:44Speaker 4: Maybe she walked by the set or something.
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: They're like, she's in it. She's in the background somewhere.
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: That person he said slow down and then they got
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: eaten in the background, that was her.
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: That was a dude, I thought.
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: Yeah, whatever.
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: I got so excited because I'm like, oh my god,
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: Gina Holden. I actually know her from other things.
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: Unlike everyone else in this movie.
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: She's in my favorite show. My second favorite.
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: Show.
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: Harper's Island, which I always talk about all the time
- 1:18:16Speaker 2: and I tie everybody back to because I fucking love
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: that show and nobody else respects it as they should. No,
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: I don't think so. And she was in one of
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: the Final Destination movies. Number three. The one with the
- 1:18:27Speaker 2: roller coaster. Damn, I love that movie. I love them all.
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: I don't even care. We should have watched one of
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: those movies.
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: I agree. Alright, so I say we wrap it up
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: and go out on this song, which closes out the movie,
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: from Klinigal, which I do, again, most of what you
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: can find isn't even in English, but they do have
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: a Facebook page obviously because it's the world and we
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: have to all have a Facebook page but their description
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: on their Facebook page is perfect little pop songs in
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: Welsh there you go that's really all you.
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: Need to know Klinigal assuming we're not saying that right I.
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: Don't know I'm not Welsh I'm not Welshian What do
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: I know? Otherwise, that about does it. We will return
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: next time. Same geek feed. Thanks for listening. Bye.
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: That movie sucked. Agreed. Thank you. Thank you.
- 1:20:42Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 1:21:12Speaker 2: See them in the.
- 1:21:15Speaker 3: Wine, wine, wine.
- 1:22:28Speaker 5: Did you see Sharknado 4?
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: The fourth one? What can you subtitle it after the last?
- 1:22:43Speaker 2: I forget what it was. The Fourth Awakens.
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: Get out. Get out.
