- 1:00GM, who, by the way, I mean, do we got to start
- 1:03talking about the draft? We might have to talk
- 1:06about the draft in this episode. I don't know,
- 1:08but guess what? This is going to be a loaded
- 1:10episode. This is going to be a great episode.
- 1:11It's going to be an amazing episode. Some people
- 1:14may not like what I have to say, but it has to
- 1:16be said. So with all that said and done, let's
- 1:20get into this thing, all right? So guess what?
- 1:21On three, one, two, three, let's lock in. rifle
- 1:53system into the meat and potatoes of everything
- 1:55that is going on in the league right now so before
- 1:58we get into gut check time which i know everybody
- 2:00is waiting for Let's talk about the trades, all
- 2:02right? I'm just gonna briefly go over all the
- 2:05trades that have happened so far, and then we'll
- 2:07get into the winners and losers and everything
- 2:09else, all right? So Joe Flacco was traded to
- 2:11the Bengals, of course, as we all know. And so
- 2:14the Browns received a 2026 fifth round pick,
- 2:16while the Bengals, of course, received Joe Flacco
- 2:18in a 2026 sixth round pick. Here's the stats
- 2:21for Joe Flacco since being with the Bengals.
- 2:24173 attempts from 112 completions. 1 ,254 passing
- 2:29yards, 11 touchdowns, two picks, 7 .2 yards per
- 2:33attempt, a 64 .7 completion percentage, and a
- 2:361 -3 record. Now, can we hold the record against
- 2:39Joe Flacco? No, because there's an offense and
- 2:43a defense. And last time I checked, Joe Flacco
- 2:45doesn't play defense. So with that being said,
- 2:48I feel like Joe Flacco has played well for the
- 2:50Bengals. Because leading up to this point, If
- 2:53you would have told me that the Bengals would
- 2:55make an in -division trade for Joe Flacco, I
- 2:58would have called you a liar. But at the same
- 3:01time, I understand why they did it because once
- 3:04Joe Burrow got hurt and once everybody realized
- 3:07that he most likely was not going to be playing
- 3:10for the rest of the year, they had to make a
- 3:12move. Because the quarterbacks that they had
- 3:14on the roster was not cutting it. They wasn't
- 3:16feeding Jamar Chase nor Tee Higgins. But Joe
- 3:19Flacco, he is giving them... every type of throw
- 3:23you could possibly think of. Now, unfortunately,
- 3:25we all know the defense isn't holding up their
- 3:27end of the bargain, but that's another story
- 3:30for a different day. But the fact of the matter
- 3:33is, I feel like this is a good trade. Now, on
- 3:36to Adafio Way and Aloy Gilman getting traded,
- 3:39right? So the Ravens receive Aloy Gilman's safety
- 3:42in a 2026 fifth round pick, while the Chargers
- 3:45receive Adafio Way in a 2027 seventh round pick.
- 3:48Now, with that being said, Adafio Way so far
- 3:52has six tackles and four sacks, while Aloy Gilman
- 3:55has nine tackles, one fumble recovery, one pass
- 3:59deflection, and one forced fumble. So me personally,
- 4:02I feel like the Chargers have won this trade
- 4:05more than the Ravens. Let me explain why. From
- 4:07a production standpoint only, Adafio Way has
- 4:11been more productive than Gilman. Adafio Way,
- 4:15since being traded to the Chargers, has had a
- 4:17sack every single game. That's not something
- 4:21that you saw when he was playing for the Ravens,
- 4:23which further enhances everything that everybody
- 4:27has been saying for the past semi years with
- 4:29the Ravens. Their pass rushers that they draft
- 4:32do much better when they're away from the Ravens
- 4:35than when they are with the Ravens. So to me,
- 4:40I feel like the Chargers won this because guess
- 4:43what? Come next offseason, they can move off
- 4:46of Bud Dupree. Give Adafi away a decent contract
- 4:50and pair him with Khalil Mack and you're good.
- 4:52Whereas with this safety for the Ravens, he has
- 4:56been productive, but I feel like personally safety
- 4:59wasn't a need. They needed more from their pass
- 5:02rushers and defensive line. And the fact that
- 5:05you trade away someone like Adafi away is just
- 5:08blasphemy to me. But we're going to save that
- 5:11when we have to talk about the reasons for the
- 5:13winners and losers of the trade deadline, all
- 5:14right? So let's keep this thing going. Tyson
- 5:16Campbell and Greg Newsome. So the Browns received
- 5:19Tyson Campbell in the 2026 seventh round pick,
- 5:22while the Jags received Greg Newsome in the 2026
- 5:25sixth round pick. So Tyson Campbell so far has
- 5:28had six tackles. One pick, four pass deflections,
- 5:31and one forced fumble. While Greg Newsom has
- 5:33had four tackles and two pass deflections. So
- 5:36with that being said, I feel like Tyson Campbell
- 5:39going to the Browns was a better situation for
- 5:41him. Because if I'm not mistaken, the Jags primarily
- 5:44play zone. And that's not Tyson Campbell. Tyson
- 5:47Campbell is a man coverage corner. And we all
- 5:50know that the Browns run man coverage a lot.
- 5:52Not to mention, this move was primarily made
- 5:55because Greg Newsom is up for a big payday. And
- 5:59so we all know that the Browns won't be able
- 6:01to afford him. So let's just put him in a situation
- 6:04where they can afford him while getting a player
- 6:07in return who is already under contract with
- 6:10low numbers. It's a win -win situation for both
- 6:14sides. But let's keep this thing going. Roger
- 6:16McCrary. We all know that he goes to the Rams
- 6:18and the Rams also get a 2026 conditional sixth
- 6:22round pick while the Titans receive a 2026 conditional
- 6:25fifth round pick. A low risk, high reward move
- 6:29where you're addressing a need while at the same
- 6:31time you're not overcompensating for that player.
- 6:35This is the number one thing that I want you
- 6:37guys to always remember. Look at the teams that
- 6:40didn't have to give up a lot to get the player.
- 6:43Bookmark that because we're going to talk about
- 6:44it later on. But with Kyle Duggar, of course
- 6:47the Steelers receive him in a 2026 7th round
- 6:50pick while the Patriots receive a 2026 conditional
- 6:526th round pick. Again, a low risk. high reward
- 6:56move where you're addressing a need while at
- 6:59the same time, you're not overcompensating for
- 7:01it. These are the type of trades that you want
- 7:04your GM to make. Not give up two first round
- 7:07picks for a player who really has been productive
- 7:09since his first two years coming into the league.
- 7:12But we'll save that for later, okay? But let's
- 7:14talk about Keyon White going to the 49ers. So
- 7:17the 49ers receive a 2026 seventh round pick while
- 7:21the Patriots receive a 2026 sixth round pick.
- 7:24Again, this is a low risk, high reward move while
- 7:28at the same time addressing a need because since
- 7:31Nick Bosa has gone down, their pass rushers haven't
- 7:33been able to create pressure while at the same
- 7:36time get sacks. And I know a lot of people probably
- 7:40saying, well, they should have went after Trey
- 7:41Hendrickson or a more well -known pass rusher.
- 7:44Well, let's be real here. The 49ers are going
- 7:47to need their first round pick next year. So
- 7:49it's only right that they try to go a little
- 7:51bit cheap while at the same time trying to at
- 7:55least put a Band -Aid over a bullet wound just
- 7:58for now. I feel like Keon White would fit better
- 8:01in Robert Sala's system as a defensive end than
- 8:05what Mike Rabel's system. That's just my personal
- 8:08opinion. I could be completely wrong, all right?
- 8:10Now let's talk about Michael Carter II and John
- 8:12Mechie, all right? So the Jets received a 2027
- 8:15sixth round pick and John Mechie, while the Eagles
- 8:19received Michael Carter II in a 2027 seventh
- 8:22round pick. Low risk, high reward, while at the
- 8:26same time addressing your needs. We all know
- 8:30that the Eagles were looking for a corner. And
- 8:32so what did they do? They attacked corner hard.
- 8:35They went after Michael Carter II, who was a
- 8:37really good slot corner, as well as go after
- 8:40Jair Alexander. But this is the part of the season
- 8:42where Howie Roseman really gets in his bag. If
- 8:46there's any pressing needs on his team, regardless
- 8:49of what it is, he is going to find a way to address
- 8:52it. Now with this trade, my question is, how
- 8:55are the Jets going to use John Mechie? What exactly
- 8:58in his skill set will help the Jets win games?
- 9:02Because at this point, what is John Mechie? Is
- 9:05he wide receiver three? Is he wide receiver four?
- 9:07Is he wide receiver two? What exactly is he?
- 9:10But let's keep this thing going. So let's talk
- 9:13about the other trade that the Eagles made. They
- 9:15traded for Jair Alexander. So of course, they
- 9:17received him in a 2027 seventh round pick, while
- 9:20the Ravens received a 2026 sixth round pick.
- 9:23Initially, when this trade went down, I did talk
- 9:26about it in the last episode, but now that we
- 9:29finally, you know, allow time to pass, it's a
- 9:32little bit of a head scratcher for the Ravens
- 9:34side. But I understand why the Eagles made this
- 9:37move, because again, corner was a problem for
- 9:40them. Outside of Quinion Mitchell and Cooper
- 9:42Dejean, who else can you rely on? Kelly Ringo
- 9:45wasn't showing a whole lot. Adoree Jackson wasn't
- 9:48showing a whole lot. But by bringing in someone
- 9:50like Michael Carter and Jair Alexander to proven
- 9:53corners, I think that'll boast up the room a
- 9:56little bit more. But if you're the Ravens, you
- 9:58cut your nose off despite your face because you
- 10:01know why? You didn't play Jair Alexander. And
- 10:04I understand when you guys initially signed him,
- 10:07he was still recovering from an injury and whatnot.
- 10:09I get all that. But we're in November. Like,
- 10:11I'm not saying he has to play an entire game.
- 10:14Put him on a snap count. Do something. Because
- 10:16I guarantee you Jire Alexander approached the
- 10:19team and said, you know what? I feel like I'm
- 10:22not being used. I'm healthy. I'm always ready
- 10:24to play. I'm always a healthy scratch. I would
- 10:27like to be traded. And they probably asked him
- 10:29where you want to go. He probably said, you know
- 10:30what? Take me to Philly. And there's that. Now,
- 10:32it sucks for the Ravens because if Marlon or
- 10:36Nate Wiggins goes down. Who else can you rely
- 10:38on? But it's like, hey, you wasn't using him.
- 10:41So it is what it is at this point. But let's
- 10:43talk about Jalen Phillips, all right? So the
- 10:45Eagles receive him and the Dolphins receive a
- 10:472026 third round pick. Now with this move, he
- 10:51reunites with his old defensive coordinator,
- 10:54Vic Vangio. Now when he played under Vic Vangio
- 10:56in 2023, Jalen Phillips had 28 tackles, six and
- 11:01a half sacks, two pass deflections, and one pick.
- 11:04Now, those aren't top five or top 10 pass rusher
- 11:07stats, but that's a promising stat line that
- 11:09says, hey, there's something there. Now, with
- 11:12him going to the Eagles, they're now saying,
- 11:15hey, you're going to be pass rusher one or two.
- 11:17No, at best, you can be pass rusher three or
- 11:20four, which is actually good because why? The
- 11:23Eagles love to have a rotation. So I think pairing
- 11:26you with Brandon Graham or pairing you with Nolan
- 11:30Smith or however you want to do things, I think
- 11:33that's great. And once again, by the time he
- 11:36leaves, if he decides to leave, guess what happens?
- 11:39The Eagles get a comp pick for it. So it's a
- 11:42win -win situation for the Eagles. But let's
- 11:45keep this thing going. Draymond heads to the
- 11:47Ravens. And so the Titans receive a 20 -26 conditional
- 11:50fifth round pick. It's a little bit of a head
- 11:53scratcher, I'll be honest. If I'm not mistaken,
- 11:55he can play both end as well as interior defensive
- 11:59line. I've never really seen him play, but...
- 12:03From what I've heard, he can do a little bit
- 12:06of both. So how the Ravens are going to use him,
- 12:09I'll just leave it there because I have a whole
- 12:11lot more to say when we talk about the winners
- 12:14and losers of the trade deadline. But let's talk
- 12:16about Logan Wilson. So he heads to the Cowboys
- 12:19and the Bengals receive a 2026 seventh round
- 12:22pick. This is a good move for the Cowboys because
- 12:24they're bringing in a good coverage linebacker
- 12:27and pairing him with DeMarvin Overstrom, which
- 12:30I think is a really good pair. This is a low
- 12:34risk type of move where you're not saying, hey,
- 12:37we need you to play like Sean Lee or you need
- 12:39to play like, you know, a top 10 inside linebacker.
- 12:42No, all they need him to do is to just do his
- 12:45job and execute because for the longest time,
- 12:48what have the Cowboys been doing? Using hybrid
- 12:51safeties as linebackers thinking that it's going
- 12:53to work when in actuality, it really doesn't
- 12:55because a lot of times they be missing out on
- 12:57their tackles. No disrespect to y 'all, but that's
- 13:00just what it is. But let's keep this thing going
- 13:02and let's talk about Jacoby Myers heading to
- 13:05the Jaguars. So they receive him while the Raiders
- 13:07receive a 2026 fourth and sixth round pick. All
- 13:11right. So I understand why they made this move
- 13:15because Brian Thomas hasn't really been playing
- 13:18his best ball and Travis Hunter is out for a
- 13:21while. But why would you give up that type of
- 13:24compensation for somebody that's going to be
- 13:26a free agent next year? Just how it was pointless
- 13:29for Chris Ballard to trade away his 2026 first
- 13:32round pick, his 2027 first round pick, and A
- 13:35.D. Mitchell for Sauce Gardner. I understand
- 13:37people have different opinions about this. I
- 13:39have no problem with that. But the fact of the
- 13:41matter is, Sauce Gardner is not worth two first
- 13:44round picks. You know who is worth two first
- 13:46round picks? Derek Stingley or PS2. You know,
- 13:49people that are consistent. People that have
- 13:52been proven since day one. Outside of the first
- 13:55two years of Sauce Gardner, what has he shown?
- 13:58Nothing. And I understand that Traverius Ward
- 14:00is still hurt. I get all of that. But that doesn't
- 14:02mean to just say, you know what? F it. We're
- 14:04going to give up two first round picks for Sauce
- 14:06Gardner. No. That's the dumbest thing that you
- 14:09could ever do because you know why? That automatically
- 14:12puts a time clock on this roster. And that also
- 14:16says that, guess what? We believe in this roster
- 14:19so much that we are willing to give up future
- 14:22assets that we could use to build up this team
- 14:25even more for a player right now. And we believe
- 14:28that within the next three to five years, we
- 14:31will be able to hold up on Lombardi. No. But
- 14:34here's a few junkie nuggets. So according to
- 14:36NextGenStat, Sauce Garner hasn't allowed no more
- 14:39than two receptions to a single receiver in a
- 14:41game this season. Sauce Gardner has faced number
- 14:44one receivers on 45 .5 % of his coverage matchups.
- 14:48Now when targeted, he's forced tight windows
- 14:51at a 52 % rate. But here's the kicker. The Jets
- 14:55now have five first round picks within the next
- 14:59two years. I'm going to say that again. The Jets
- 15:02now have five first round picks within the next
- 15:06two years. You have three first round picks in
- 15:102027 alone. You have two second round picks in
- 15:152026. So technically speaking, you could use
- 15:18those second round picks to get back into the
- 15:21first round if you want to. We're going to save
- 15:23that for later. Let's talk about Rashid Shahid
- 15:25before I get upset. So he goes to the Seahawks
- 15:28and the Saints receive a 2026 fourth round pick
- 15:31and a 2026 fifth round pick. Now, this is a good
- 15:34move for the Seahawks because you're reuniting
- 15:36him with Clint Kubiak, which... If we're being
- 15:39real here, he had one of his best years under
- 15:41Clint Kubiak when he was with the Saints. He
- 15:45had 41 targets for 20 receptions, 349 receiving
- 15:48yards, 3 touchdowns, and 17 .5 receiving yards
- 15:52per reception. Now, to some people, you're probably
- 15:54saying, those aren't really good stats. Rasheed
- 15:56Shaheed is a wide receiver 2 -3 on a lot of teams.
- 16:00He's a productive receiver, and if we're being
- 16:03real here, I think he can take this offense to
- 16:06another level. Because who's going to stop Cooper
- 16:09Cupp, J .S. Singh, Rasheed Shaheed, A .J. Barner,
- 16:13and Elijah Roya, and Zach Charbonnet, and Kenneth
- 16:16Walker? Not a lot of people. But let's keep this
- 16:18thing going. Joe Tryon heads to the Bears. And
- 16:21so the Bears receive him in a 20 -26 seventh
- 16:24-round pick, while the Browns receive a 20 -26
- 16:26sixth -round pick. A move that was very much
- 16:30needed because one of their pass rushers is out
- 16:32for the rest of the year because they tore his
- 16:33Achilles. So they needed to make a move quickly
- 16:36while at the same time not giving up a lot of
- 16:38compensation, which I completely understand.
- 16:42Quinton Williams, he heads to the Cowboys. And
- 16:45so the Jets receive a 2027 first round pick,
- 16:48which is going to be Dallas' highest first round
- 16:50pick, a 2026 second round pick, and Mozzie Smith.
- 16:54Now here's some junkie nuggets about this. Since
- 16:572022, Quinton Williams has beaten 57 double teams
- 17:02to generate pressure. He's fourth among defensive
- 17:05tackles and total pressures at 190 total pressures.
- 17:09Quinton Williams has 13 run stuffs for loss or
- 17:13no gain, which is the second most of this season.
- 17:16He's completed this on 8 .9 % of his run defense
- 17:20snaps, outpacing his career run stuff rate of
- 17:236 .6 % in 2020. We're going to save my opinion
- 17:27about this. Let's keep it going. Trevor Penning
- 17:30heads to the Chargers. The Saints receive a 20
- 17:33-27 sixth round pick. Honestly, I feel like this
- 17:36was a bad move for the Chargers, but I understand
- 17:39why they did this because their offensive line
- 17:42is decimated with injuries and they are desperate
- 17:44to at least get some bodies on that line. So
- 17:48I understand on one hand why they made this move,
- 17:52but... I would have called a veteran. I would
- 17:54have did workouts. I would have done something
- 17:57at this point because it's already bad enough
- 17:59that you lost Joe Alt and Rashawn Slater for
- 18:02the rest of the year. But to bring in someone
- 18:05like Trevor Penny, who, I mean, if we're being
- 18:07real here, the Saints used him at left tackle.
- 18:09He didn't do anything. They used him at right
- 18:11tackle. Didn't do anything. They used him at
- 18:13guard. He didn't do anything. He's useless everywhere.
- 18:17And this is no disrespect to him, but bro. If
- 18:20the team is putting you in different positions
- 18:21and you still haven't shown anything, you're
- 18:24just bad. But let's talk about the final trade.
- 18:27And that is Jasir Taylor going to the Jets while
- 18:30the Chargers receive a 2028 seventh round pick.
- 18:33My guess is this is just to fill in the voice
- 18:36that both Michael Carter and Sauce Gardner left
- 18:38on the team. Nothing more, nothing less. So let's
- 18:42talk about the winners and losers of the trade
- 18:45deadline. For winners, you have Cowboys, Eagles,
- 18:49Jets, and Seahawks. In losers, you have Ravens,
- 18:52Titans, Chargers, Colts, and Jaguars. So let's
- 18:55start with the winners. So with the Cowboys,
- 18:58they definitely won this trade because when we
- 19:00look at it, since Micah Parsons has been traded,
- 19:04what did Jerry Jones say? I could either use
- 19:07these picks to acquire somebody or I can draft
- 19:10somebody. But he emphasized that he wanted to
- 19:13bring in somebody that is going to help with
- 19:16stopping the run. And who better person to get
- 19:20than Quentin Williams? Not to mention, he's going
- 19:24to be a lot cheaper than what you would have
- 19:25had paid Micah Parsons. That's the part that
- 19:28I think people don't understand. When we look
- 19:31at the entire Micah Parsons situation. If the
- 19:34Cowboys would have paid Michael Parsons the money
- 19:37that he was looking for, they wouldn't be able
- 19:39to re -sign Deron Bland. They wouldn't be able
- 19:42to re -sign their offensive lineman. They wouldn't
- 19:45be able to make the moves that they're making
- 19:47right now. So in some ways, it was a smart move
- 19:50for Jerry to make. He realizes that, listen,
- 19:53my team still needs a lot of time to be built.
- 19:57So I need to bolster up as many resources as
- 20:00I possibly can so that I can make this a little
- 20:03bit easier. Because Jerry was honest. He said,
- 20:06listen, I have more time behind me than ahead
- 20:10of me. So I need to maximize every single year
- 20:13that I have on this earth. And he's 100 % right.
- 20:16But let's keep this thing going. Let's talk about
- 20:18the Eagles. So for them, they realized that one,
- 20:22their pass rusher room was not good enough. They
- 20:25realized that their cornerback room wasn't good
- 20:27enough. So they said, you know what? We're going
- 20:30to address those two positions as best as we
- 20:33can. They gave up a third round pick for Jalen
- 20:35Phillips and they gave up day three picks for
- 20:38both Michael Carter and Jair Alexander. I think
- 20:41that's great because these are low risk, high
- 20:44reward moves where you are not thrusting them
- 20:46to be cornerback one or pass rusher one. You're
- 20:50just putting them in a position where they can
- 20:52be successful, which is all you need. Because
- 20:55again, the pass rush room for the Eagles has
- 20:58not been good this entire season. Nolan Smith
- 21:01has been banged up. Z'Darrius Smith just unexpectedly
- 21:04retired. And so they had to convince Brandon
- 21:07Graham to come back. So yes, they needed to make
- 21:11these moves. And they didn't have to give up
- 21:13a whole lot to get them. And then the most important
- 21:16part is, whatever Jalen Phillips do in the offseason,
- 21:20they're going to get a comp pick back. If I'm
- 21:23not mistaken, I think it's a third round comp
- 21:26pick as well. So it's a free move. Who wouldn't
- 21:30want to make a free move? Classic Howie Roseman,
- 21:34folks. Classic Howie Roseman. Now with the Jets,
- 21:37yes, they are winners. And here's why. You realize
- 21:41that the current direction of this team is not
- 21:44successful. And you realize by having two players
- 21:48in both Sauce Garner and Quinton Williams, you
- 21:51can receive multiple draft picks that can help
- 21:54build this team up a little bit faster. So guess
- 21:58what? You got five first round picks. You could
- 22:01possibly have a little bit more, honestly speaking.
- 22:04So that means you have multiple chances to find
- 22:06your quarterback, to find your receivers, to
- 22:09find your corners, your defensive tackles, and
- 22:12any other positions that you feel like needs
- 22:14to be upgraded. And the final winner is the Seahawks
- 22:17because they realize that the missing piece is
- 22:21just another wide receiver. Outside of that,
- 22:24everything else on their roster is pretty good.
- 22:27Their defense is great. The offense has been
- 22:30putting up numbers. Sam Darnold looks like an
- 22:32MVP. Who's really complaining? This is the structure
- 22:36for success. This is the structure for long -term
- 22:40success if we want to take things another step.
- 22:43I guarantee you, folks, within the next three
- 22:46to six years, the Seahawks will be back in the
- 22:49Super Bowl. You heard it here first on the Football
- 22:51Junkies podcast. And let's talk about these losers
- 22:54because I got a lot to say about these losers.
- 22:56So let's start with the Ravens. You guys are
- 22:59losers because you realize that by trading away
- 23:02Adafi away, everyone is thinking, oh, they're
- 23:05going to make a big move to bring in a really
- 23:08good pass rusher. And you didn't do that. You
- 23:11know what you did? You brought in Draymond Jones.
- 23:13And this is no disrespect to Draymond Jones.
- 23:15But I'm sorry. You had an opportunity, just like
- 23:19any of the other teams, to get someone like a
- 23:21Quentin Williams. And you didn't do it. I understand
- 23:24everybody has their qualms with John Harbaugh.
- 23:27John Harbaugh isn't the person that you need
- 23:28to have qualms with. It needs to be EDC. Because
- 23:31year after year after year, you have a GM that
- 23:35continues to sit on his hands and say, you know
- 23:38what? I like being complacent. I like wasting
- 23:42people's time. I like not being aggressive. At
- 23:45some point, you're going to have to put your
- 23:47balls on the table and say, you know what? We're
- 23:49going to make this aggressive move because you
- 23:51know why? We are in our Super Bowl window and
- 23:53we need to win one. But even if you thought going
- 23:57after Quentin Williams was too expensive, you
- 24:00should have at least made one more move to shore
- 24:02up your offensive line. Daniel Falele is ass.
- 24:06And I mean hot ass. Garbage ass. Anytime that
- 24:11you see him on the field, you know most likely
- 24:14he's going to miss his assignments, he's not
- 24:16going to block well, and he's going to be a barbecue
- 24:19chicken alert for every single defensive lineman
- 24:21that he faces. So the fact that you didn't address
- 24:24those two needs while at the same time bringing
- 24:27in another corner to replace Jair Alexander just
- 24:31shows me that one, this team is not serious about
- 24:34winning and that they should just get rid of
- 24:36all of their players. Because you cannot make
- 24:38the move that you made to acquire Roquan Smith
- 24:40and pay him the money that you paid him and then
- 24:43just say, you know what, after that, we're not
- 24:45going to do anything else. I don't care who the
- 24:47person is. I don't care what the asking price
- 24:49is. We're not going to do it. Even though making
- 24:51one aggressive move could literally change your
- 24:54entire season. Let's be honest here. This is
- 24:57the best year for any other team outside the
- 25:00Chiefs to win the Super Bowl. The Chiefs are
- 25:02weak this year. The Broncos are going to keep
- 25:05them in check. And if we're being real here,
- 25:07if the Broncos win that division, the Chiefs
- 25:10don't want to face that. The Bills don't look
- 25:12that strong. So why would you not want to make
- 25:15at least one aggressive move? I'm not saying
- 25:17you got to throw the whole house away just to
- 25:19acquire one player, but you need to do something.
- 25:22Draymond Jones is not going to do anything. What
- 25:25you have right now is not good enough. Half of
- 25:28the people in your interior defensive line room
- 25:31are banged up. So you needed to bring in somebody
- 25:34fresh, somebody that you know that, guess what?
- 25:37When they step on that field, when they put their
- 25:40hand in that ground, they're going to make some
- 25:42noise. They're going to create some pressure.
- 25:45They are going to be able to change the entire
- 25:47game. But if you're not willing to meet that
- 25:50price, well, then by all means, you don't need
- 25:52to be a GM. Because all you're doing is wasting
- 25:55the prime years of Lamar Jackson and Derrick
- 25:58Henry. And everybody else that has been committed
- 26:01to this team through and through. So when that
- 26:04documentary comes out on why the Ravens never
- 26:07won a Super Bowl, go to EDC. Because EDC had
- 26:11the power, he had the resources, and he had the
- 26:14opportunities to solidify his roster over everybody
- 26:17else's. But he didn't want to pull the trigger.
- 26:20But let's keep on going. Let's talk about the
- 26:22Titans. So with them, yes, they are a loser.
- 26:24Because you know that you're going through a
- 26:26rebuild. You know that you're going to need...
- 26:28in excess of resources in order to properly build
- 26:31this team up. And you're going to need more than
- 26:34just second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and
- 26:36seventh round picks. You're going to need some
- 26:38first round picks as well. And the fact that
- 26:41you didn't get rid of Jeffrey Simmons, even though
- 26:44you had the opportunity to do it, lets me know
- 26:46that you're not serious. But this is the same
- 26:49thing that they did with Derrick Henry. The Ravens
- 26:52were willing to give whatever the Titans were
- 26:54asking for. And the Titans said, you know what,
- 26:57we're not going to do it. Because he's the reason
- 27:00why people come to the games. He's the reason
- 27:03why people want to buy jerseys, buy merch, attend
- 27:06whatever little get -togethers that the Titans
- 27:09hold. Are we serious about making money or are
- 27:12we serious about winning championships? Just
- 27:14let me know. The Chargers, I understand that
- 27:18your offensive line is depleted. I understand
- 27:20that you need somebody just to get by. But training
- 27:24for Trevor Penning is not the answer. I would
- 27:27have at least tried to go after a veteran offensive
- 27:30lineman before I would have resulted to Trevor
- 27:32Penning. You're talking about somebody that has
- 27:35been tried at both tackles and guard and haven't
- 27:38been successful. So that just lets me know you're
- 27:40just downright atrocious. You should have at
- 27:43least held some workouts for some veteran offensive
- 27:46linemen. I understand they're probably not the
- 27:48best names. I understand that they have their
- 27:50own flaws as well, but hey. At least they can
- 27:53get you by because guess what? You're going to
- 27:56have to go up against the Steelers. A Steelers
- 27:58defense, by the way, that just finished beating
- 28:01one of the best teams in the league. So the fact
- 28:04that you don't have both Joe Olt and Rashawn
- 28:06Slater lets me know that most likely Justin Herbert
- 28:09is going to get cracked in this game. And I don't
- 28:11want that to happen, but I know it's going to
- 28:13happen. The Steelers are going to send the house,
- 28:16the car, and the fence at Justin Herbert. And
- 28:20there's nothing that you can do about it. Now
- 28:22the Colts. I understand you guys are having a
- 28:25great season. I understand things look very promising.
- 28:28But why in the blue hell would you give up two
- 28:31first round picks for a player that has not been
- 28:33proven? It'll be different if you gave up two
- 28:35first round picks for Derek Stingley. I would
- 28:37not complain. Or you give up two first round
- 28:39picks for PS2. I wouldn't complain. But Sauce
- 28:43Gardner has not shown anything within the last
- 28:46few years. And I understand that your cornerback
- 28:48room has been banged up. And I understand by
- 28:50bringing Sauce Gardner in, that can bring a little
- 28:53bit of energy back into the cornerback room.
- 28:55But I would not give up two first round picks.
- 28:58This is just one good year. Anybody can have
- 29:01one good year. The Commanders won the NFC Championship
- 29:03last year. And now look at them. So why would
- 29:06you give up two first round picks for somebody?
- 29:08You guys made two steps forward just to go six
- 29:12steps back. And by making this move, you have
- 29:15basically started the clock of being successful.
- 29:18Because if you don't make it to the AFC Championship,
- 29:21let alone the Super Bowl, within the next five
- 29:23years, that was a waste. Not to mention, you're
- 29:28going to have to pay Daniel Jones. You're going
- 29:30to have to pay Jonathan Taylor. You're going
- 29:32to have to pay one of your receivers. There's
- 29:34going to be a plethora of people that are going
- 29:35to be looking for big contracts this offseason.
- 29:38And by making a move for Sauce Garner does not
- 29:41help. So that means one of those players is going
- 29:43to be a sacrifice. Are you willing to do that?
- 29:47Especially when you know that you still need
- 29:50all of your draft picks in order to properly
- 29:52build this team up. Daniel Jones looks good,
- 29:55but it's just one season. There's a difference
- 29:57between just having one magical season and just
- 30:00being downright consistent and great. Greatness
- 30:03is consistent. Good is just a moment. That actually
- 30:07sounds like a bar. I might have to write that
- 30:08down, but let's keep this thing going. The Jaguars.
- 30:11I understand that Trevor Lawrence needs some
- 30:14weapons, but giving up your fourth and sixth
- 30:17round pick for next year's draft for Jacoby Myers,
- 30:19who's only going to be playing for eight games,
- 30:21is a waste. As I've said before in the early
- 30:25parts of this episode, I am not giving up a fourth
- 30:28and a sixth round pick for a wide receiver who
- 30:30is not currently under contract, let alone only
- 30:33played for eight games. It'll be different if
- 30:36you made this move in the off season. Okay, fine.
- 30:39That means you have the entire season to assess
- 30:41Jacoby Myers. But by making this move right now,
- 30:45you are cutting yourself short. And on top of
- 30:47that, you could have used those picks to address
- 30:50the need on your team because this team is still
- 30:53incomplete. If you're the Jaguars, you don't
- 30:56make this type of move if you don't believe that
- 30:59you're going to be able to re -sign him next
- 31:01year. If you guys have already had that conversation,
- 31:03okay, fine. Everything that I've said so far
- 31:06means nothing. But if you guys haven't had at
- 31:08least a preliminary talk about contracts, it's
- 31:11worthless. But here's another thing that I want
- 31:13to add in, and we'll talk about this just for
- 31:16a moment. Teams with multiple 2026 first round
- 31:19picks include the Rams, the Browns, the Cowboys,
- 31:24and the Jets. Three of those teams don't have
- 31:26a franchise quarterback. After listening to what
- 31:29Tom McShay had to say yesterday, it sounds like
- 31:32to me like the 26 draft class is not going to
- 31:36be the draft class for quarterbacks. It sounds
- 31:39like to me like 27 is going to be the better
- 31:42draft class. Because from what he said, Lenora
- 31:45Sellers may transfer to Miami. Fernando Mendoza
- 31:48is probably going to declare for the draft. The
- 31:50quarterback for Oklahoma, he may stay for another
- 31:52year because he had thumb surgery. Dante Moore
- 31:55is going to go back to school. So if that is
- 31:58true, that means a lot of the top prospects that
- 32:00everybody has been scouting is most likely going
- 32:02to be off the list. There's also a chance that
- 32:05Ty Simpson may also go back to school. So if
- 32:08you're the Steelers, if you're any of these teams
- 32:10that need a franchise quarterback, I don't think
- 32:1326 is the year for you. I think 27 is the better
- 32:17year. Now, sure, you'll have Sam Lovin, and you'll
- 32:20probably have a few other prospects that you
- 32:22may be interested in, but I feel like all the
- 32:25prospects that everybody's going to want to go
- 32:27after will probably target the 27 draft and the
- 32:3026 draft class. That's just my personal opinion.
- 32:33I could be wrong. Only time will tell, all right?
- 32:36We still have a lot of time from now until the
- 32:39combine and the draft and all those different
- 32:42things, okay? So let's talk about gut check time,
- 32:44all right? All 32 teams we will be discussing.
- 32:48But before we do that, we gotta pay some bills.
- 32:51Pardon the interruption, but this is your GM,
- 32:53your bad bro Domus, here to talk about rss .com,
- 32:56all right? So if you guys already don't know,

- 34:11you rss .com for making me an affiliate. Now
- 34:14back to the good stuff. And we're back folks.
- 34:16So let's talk about gut check time. That's right.
- 34:18All 32 teams, all 32 different opinions. So let's
- 34:23just get into it. All right. NFC North with the
- 34:25Lions fight to win the division. And the reason
- 34:29why I say that is because Right now, this is
- 34:32anybody's division. Nobody has a clear lead over
- 34:35the other. When we look at their divisional stats
- 34:38right now, the Vikings have the best stats within
- 34:41the division. They're 2 -0. The Bears are 0 -2,
- 34:44the Lions are 1 -2, and the Packers are 1 -0.
- 34:47But here's the thing. From a conference standpoint,
- 34:51the Packers are 3 -1 -1, the Lions are 2 -2,
- 34:55the Bears are 3 -2, and the Vikings are 2 -2.
- 34:58With that being said, their remaining opponents
- 35:00are the Commanders, Eagles, Giants, Packers,
- 35:03Cowboys, Rams, Steelers, Vikings, and Bears.
- 35:06So yes, they have some good matchups and they
- 35:08have some very bad matchups, but I feel like
- 35:12they're probably going to either win the division
- 35:13or probably be like really close to winning it.
- 35:18Because right now, their division is very competitive.
- 35:21Although the Vikings are 4 -4, they can still
- 35:23put up a fight. The Bears are looking really
- 35:26good this year. The Packers... are looking good
- 35:28this year. But they don't look like the team
- 35:30that everybody was expecting. So if you're the
- 35:33Lions, you want to beat the Eagles. You want
- 35:36to beat the Giants. You want to beat the Packers,
- 35:38of course. The Cowboys. You want to focus on
- 35:40your NFC wins more than your AFC wins because
- 35:44we're starting to get to the point where seeding
- 35:46is really going to matter. And those conference
- 35:48games are really going to hold a lot of weight.
- 35:50So I don't know what they got to do, but just
- 35:52get it done. Let's talk about the Vikings. Fight
- 35:55to save your season. And the reason why I say
- 35:58that is because your remaining opponents are
- 36:00the Ravens, Bears, Packers, Seahawks, Commanders,
- 36:03Cowboys, Giants, Lions, and Packers. That's not
- 36:06an easy feat. Out of all those teams, the only
- 36:10two teams that I would say you should probably
- 36:12crush is the Commanders and Giants. Outside of
- 36:16that, you're facing all NFC opponents. So all
- 36:19of those games are must -win games. So if you're
- 36:23the Vikings, you're still in it. But at the same
- 36:26time, the margin of error, it's very small. And
- 36:29it's going to get smaller and smaller every single
- 36:32time that you lose a game. Specifically, you
- 36:34lose against NFC teams. Because as I just said,
- 36:38we're starting to get to the point where seeding
- 36:40is going to matter. On to the Bears. Get ready
- 36:43for the gauntlet. Your remaining opponents. Giants,
- 36:47Vikings, Steelers, Eagles, Packers, Browns, Packers
- 36:51again, 49ers, and Lions. Now, the good news is
- 36:54you have a winning record. The bad news is your
- 36:57divisional record is trash. You haven't won a
- 37:00divisional record at all. And you need to win
- 37:03your divisional battles. You face the Packers
- 37:05twice, and then you end the season with the Lions.
- 37:08So if we're being real here, you should be able
- 37:11to beat the Giants. After that matchup, things
- 37:14are going to get a little bit more treacherous.
- 37:17The Vikings are going to put up a fight. The
- 37:19Steelers are going to put up a fight. The Eagles,
- 37:21the Packers, the Browns, even though their season's
- 37:24over with, they can still bring a team down.
- 37:27You know the Packers are going to get their act
- 37:28together. You know the 49ers may try to put up
- 37:31a fight. And you know that there's a good chance
- 37:34that the division winner can be decided by the
- 37:36last game. So do you really want to take that
- 37:38risk? I don't think so. If I'm the Bears, I'm
- 37:41trying to win against the Vikings, I'm trying
- 37:44to win against the Packers twice, and I'm trying
- 37:46to win against the Lions. You want to make it
- 37:49so close. to the point where they have to rely
- 37:52on other records to decide on who's going to
- 37:55win the division. I would rather do that than
- 37:58to say, you know what, we didn't win as many
- 38:00games as we needed to in order to solidify ourselves
- 38:03within the division. On to the Packers. Lock
- 38:07in. Your remaining opponents are the Eagles,
- 38:10Giants, Vikings, Lions, Bears, Broncos, Bears,
- 38:14Ravens, and Vikings. I'm going to be honest with
- 38:16you. This might be the hardest stretch I have
- 38:19seen so far. You got the Eagles, the Giants,
- 38:23I mean, you can most likely crush. The Vikings,
- 38:26the Lions, the Bears, the Broncos, the Bears
- 38:29again, the Ravens, and the Vikings. You got three
- 38:32games we're going up against divisional opponents.
- 38:35I don't know what you need to do. I don't know
- 38:38who you need to bring in. I don't know what speech
- 38:40needs to be given. But whatever it is, it needs
- 38:43to be done now. Because whether people realize
- 38:45it or not, with the Packers tying against the
- 38:48Cowboys, there's a chance that can easily affect
- 38:51them negatively or positively. So if I'm the
- 38:54Packers, I want to avoid that scenario. And the
- 38:58only way that you can do it is if you start off
- 39:00hot by beating the Giants, Vikings, Eagles, Packers,
- 39:04the Packers again, the 49ers, and the Lions.
- 39:07If you can beat out those teams, you're in a
- 39:09good spot. But if you're having trouble against
- 39:12the Vikings or the Eagles or the Packers twice,
- 39:15I don't know what to tell you. Out of all the
- 39:17teams that I just talked about, you can beat
- 39:19the Giants, you can beat the Browns. Everybody
- 39:22else, that's up to y 'all. Now let's talk about
- 39:24the NFC South, all right? So with the Panthers,
- 39:27finish the season strong and keep the divisional
- 39:30battle close. Your remaining opponents are the
- 39:32Saints, Falcons, 49ers, Rams, Saints, Bucs, Seahawks,
- 39:37and Bucs again. So right now, you're five and
- 39:39four. Your divisional record is 1 -0. Your conference
- 39:43record is 3 -1, which is actually really good.
- 39:45But with that being said, you realize that you're
- 39:47fighting an uphill battle against the Buccaneers.
- 39:50But it is a battle that you can easily win if
- 39:53you get the job done. You've beaten the Packers,
- 39:55which is really good. The Saints, that's an easy
- 39:58W. The Falcons, that could be an easy W. That's
- 40:00two wins right there. All you have to worry about
- 40:03is the 49ers, Rams, the Bucs twice, and the Seahawks.
- 40:07If you can win those games, you're in a good
- 40:10spot. And when you win those games, you're going
- 40:12to put added pressure on the Buccaneers to maintain
- 40:15their lead. Because the Bucs realize that if
- 40:18they lose one or two games, guess what? You now
- 40:21take the lead in the division, which is what
- 40:23you want. On to the Falcons. Fight for your season.
- 40:26I understand that things haven't been the best
- 40:28for you lately because you're on a three -game
- 40:30losing streak and your next opponent is the Colts
- 40:33on Sunday. But you got to fight. Because even
- 40:36though you may not make it to the playoffs, you
- 40:39can still make some noise. You can still be a
- 40:41team that drags one of your division rivals down,
- 40:44which you may want to do, honestly. Just saying,
- 40:46you know. When you look at your remaining opponents,
- 40:49of course, you have the Colts, you have the Panthers,
- 40:51the Saints, the Jets, the Seahawks, the Bucks,
- 40:54the Cardinals, the Rams, and the Saints again.
- 40:56So you can beat the Saints twice. You can beat
- 40:58the Jets. Everybody else, it's up in the air,
- 41:01which is what you want. Because when we look
- 41:04at it, right, your division record is not good.
- 41:07Your conference record could be a little bit
- 41:09better. But that doesn't mean that you just sit
- 41:11down and say, you know what, the season's over.
- 41:13There's no point in us fighting. There's no point
- 41:15in us putting in effort. None of that. You have
- 41:18to keep fighting. That momentum could save somebody's
- 41:22job. Not saying that, you know, people are going
- 41:25to get fired or anything, but you just want to
- 41:27show a little bit of grit. The Saints have quit,
- 41:29okay? Their good is gone. Their goose is cooked.
- 41:33Yours isn't. You could still have a winning record,
- 41:35even though you don't make it in the playoffs,
- 41:37which I think at this point, if you're the Falcons,
- 41:40I think that's what you probably want to shoot
- 41:42for. If you can have a winning record, but you
- 41:44don't make it in the playoffs, I think that's
- 41:47a successful season. I think that's a season
- 41:49that shows, hey, What we have right now is working.
- 41:53We just have to continue to build off of it.
- 41:55Then just say, you know what? There's no point
- 41:57in us fighting. We're just going to tank so we
- 41:59get a high draft pick so we can just draft somebody.
- 42:01On to the Bucs. Extend the divisional lead. Your
- 42:05remaining opponents, Patriots, Bills, Rams, Cardinals,
- 42:09Saints, Falcons, Panthers, Dolphins, and Panthers
- 42:12again. You know you're going to beat the Dolphins.
- 42:15You know you're going to beat the Saints. You
- 42:16know you're going to beat the Cardinals. The
- 42:19Patriots and the Bills and Rams are going to
- 42:20give you some trouble. The Falcons may try to
- 42:23give you some trouble as well. And the Panthers,
- 42:25I mean, hey, they just finished being the Packers,
- 42:28so it's topsy -turvy with them, all right? Now,
- 42:31with your divisional record, you're 2 -0, but
- 42:34your conference record is 4 -2, which is really
- 42:36good. You have to extend your divisional lead
- 42:39because the Panthers are right behind you. And
- 42:41you know right now they have the momentum on
- 42:43their side. So if you're the Buccaneers... I
- 42:46would rather seal up the division by Christmas,
- 42:49or better yet, Thanksgiving, than to give the
- 42:52Panthers a chance to fight this thing all the
- 42:54way to the end. But on to the Saints. So use
- 42:57the rest of the season to assess the team. Your
- 42:59remaining opponents are the Panthers, Falcons,
- 43:02Dolphins, Bucks, Panthers again, Jets, Titans,
- 43:05and Falcons. So that's manageable. But if we're
- 43:08being real here, you're tanking so you can get
- 43:10a high draft pick, all right? If we really want
- 43:12to take things another step further, You're using
- 43:15this to assess Tyler Shuck, Spencer Rattler,
- 43:19Chris Alave, and everybody else that you have
- 43:21on this team. Because I would rather for you
- 43:24to use the rest of the season to see what you
- 43:27have and what you don't have than to just say,
- 43:29you know what? We're going to put our hardest
- 43:31effort in. We're going to try to win as many
- 43:33games as we possibly can, even though we know
- 43:35damn well you guys aren't. Your season is over
- 43:39with. You're not going to do anything. So just
- 43:41count your losses, all right? Your goose is cooked.
- 43:45And it has been cooked since week six, if we're
- 43:48being real here. Now on to the NFC East. The
- 43:50Eagles finished the season strong. So right now
- 43:54you're six and two. Your divisional record is
- 43:57two and one. Your conference record is five and
- 43:59one, which is great. Your remaining opponents
- 44:01are the Packers, Lions, Cowboys, Bears, Chargers,
- 44:05Raiders, Commanders, Bills, and Commanders again.
- 44:07And with that being said, we all know that you
- 44:10could beat the Commanders. We know that you can
- 44:12beat the Chargers. We know that you can beat
- 44:14the Raiders. All you really have to worry about
- 44:17is the Packers, Lions, Cowboys, Bears, and the
- 44:21Bills. The Cowboys may be a team you may have
- 44:24to keep an eye on, especially with them acquiring
- 44:26Quinton Williams. Just saying. But if you want
- 44:29to get a high seed, you're going to have to finish
- 44:31strong. And that doesn't mean you just let up
- 44:33on the last two games. No, you have to be guns
- 44:37blazing from this point on. Now on to the Cowboys.
- 44:40Prepare for the gauntlet. Your remaining opponents
- 44:43are the Raiders, Eagles, Chiefs, Lions, Vikings,
- 44:46Chargers, Commanders, and Giants. Now with that
- 44:49being said, your divisional record is 2 -1, and
- 44:53your conference record is 2 -4 -1, which, if
- 44:55we're being real here, that tie may have a negative
- 44:59or positive effect on you when it comes to playoff
- 45:01seeding. Now, we all know that you can beat the
- 45:03Raiders. It's just what you do against the Eagles,
- 45:06Chiefs, Lions, and Vikings that's going to matter
- 45:08the most. And we also realize that the offense
- 45:11can't continue to be the workhorse for the team.
- 45:14At some point, the defense is going to have to
- 45:16step up. Now, am I saying that you have to be
- 45:18this dominant team for the rest of the season?
- 45:21No. But if you can just contribute, be consistent,
- 45:24make great plays, I think this team can make
- 45:27some noise. On to the commanders. Assess your
- 45:30strengths and weaknesses and prepare for the
- 45:32offseason. Your remaining opponents, the Lions,
- 45:35Dolphins, Broncos, Vikings, Giants, Eagles, Cowboys,
- 45:39and Eagles again. With Jade and Daniels recovering
- 45:41from a dislocated elbow, I would rather the commanders
- 45:44use the rest of the season to assess their strengths
- 45:47and weaknesses on this team than to just say,
- 45:50you know what, we're going to try to put our
- 45:51best foot forward. Because let's be honest here,
- 45:54there's a lot of holes on this team and they're
- 45:56going to have to be addressed in the next offseason.
- 45:59For starters, the defense has to get younger.
- 46:01But anytime your defense is composed of older
- 46:04players, you're not gonna see a whole lot of
- 46:07production out of them. And if you do, it's gonna
- 46:09be in spurts. Paying 10 million to Von Miller
- 46:12isn't gonna solve the pass rushing issue. Trading
- 46:15for Marshawn Lattimore isn't gonna solve the
- 46:17cornerback issue. You most likely are gonna have
- 46:20to draft those positions. Or you're going to
- 46:22have to pay a premium to bring in a really good
- 46:25player to address one of those positions. Now,
- 46:27luckily, next year's draft class is supposed
- 46:29to be a defensive draft class. And last time
- 46:32I checked, there's supposed to be a lot of good
- 46:34edge rushers that are coming out next year. So
- 46:37with that being said, you need to assess your
- 46:39tight end room, your receiving room, your offensive
- 46:41line, your running back room. You need to assess
- 46:44every single position on this team and say, you
- 46:47know what? Can we upgrade this position? Can
- 46:50we make a move to possibly bring in somebody
- 46:52that can be more productive? You need to have
- 46:54these honest conversations now so that when the
- 46:57draft comes around and free agency starts, guess
- 47:01what? You have all your ducks in a row and you're
- 47:03ready to go. Now on to the Giants. Try to finish
- 47:06the season strong and prepare for the offseason.
- 47:09Your remaining opponents. Bears, Packers, Lions,
- 47:13Patriots, Commanders, Vikings, Raiders, and Cowboys.
- 47:16Now, realistically speaking, you're not going
- 47:19to win a lot of games. But if you can win a couple
- 47:21of these games, I think that can be promising.
- 47:25And I think the way that you win those games
- 47:28can also be bonus points as well. Let's be honest
- 47:31here. This team is still incomplete. The wide
- 47:35receiver room needs more talent. The running
- 47:38back room needs more talent. Offensive line needs
- 47:40to get stronger. The defense could get a little
- 47:43bit stronger in a few different areas. So there's
- 47:46room for growth. So you need to use the rest
- 47:49of these games to assess, hey, how do we match
- 47:51up against these teams? And be honest. Some feelings
- 47:55may get hurt, but guess what? You need to be
- 47:57honest at this point because there was a point
- 48:00in time during this season that we were talking
- 48:02about Joe Shane and Brian Dable getting fired
- 48:05by Thanksgiving. But since Jackson Dart has come
- 48:07in, he's been the breath of fresh air. So with
- 48:11your ownership, do you want to break that up?
- 48:13No. I think you're going to have to keep Joe
- 48:16Shane and Brian Dable for another year. Now,
- 48:19if next year comes around and you don't see anything
- 48:22that you saw this year, okay, fine, you can blow
- 48:25it up, go in a different direction, whatever.
- 48:27But you have to keep rolling with this. Now,
- 48:31on to the NFC West, all right? So with the 49ers.
- 48:34Try to keep up with the Rams and Seahawks. So
- 48:37your remaining opponents, Rams, Cardinals, Panthers,
- 48:40Browns, Titans, Colts, Bears, and Seahawks. Now
- 48:44you have a chance to make some noise both in
- 48:46the division and in the conference. But all you
- 48:50have to do is just continue to stack wins. Now
- 48:53am I saying you have a chance to win the division?
- 48:56Realistically, yes. But the path to acquire that
- 49:00is very difficult. We all know that you can beat
- 49:03the Titans and the Browns and the Cardinals,
- 49:05but how are you going to match up against the
- 49:08Rams, the Colts, the Bears, and the Seahawks?
- 49:11But on to the Seahawks. Extend the divisional
- 49:14lead. The remaining opponents are the Cardinals,
- 49:17Rams, Titans, Vikings, Falcons, Colts, Rams,
- 49:20Panthers, and 49ers, which really isn't that
- 49:23bad. You can beat the Cardinals, you can beat
- 49:26the Titans, you can beat the Falcons. It's what
- 49:29you do against everybody else that matters. I
- 49:32think right now you're in a good spot within
- 49:34the division, but I wouldn't get comfortable
- 49:36because why? The Rams and the 49ers are right
- 49:39behind you. And right now, if you're the Seahawks,
- 49:42you want that home field advantage. So the only
- 49:45way that you can get it is if you win the division
- 49:47and you get a high seed within the playoffs.
- 49:49Now on to the Cardinals. Assess your strengths
- 49:52and weaknesses and prepare for the offseason.
- 49:54Your remaining opponents. The Seahawks, the 49ers,
- 49:58the Jags, the Bucks, the Rams, the Texans, Falcons,
- 50:01Bengals, and Rams again. So with that being said,
- 50:04you're in a spot right now. You just have to
- 50:07count your losses. Kyler Murray most likely isn't
- 50:09going to play for the rest of the year. And most
- 50:11likely he's going to get moved this offseason,
- 50:13which that's going to be a separate conversation
- 50:15when we get to gut check time for the offseason.
- 50:18But with that being said, this team needs to
- 50:20assess what they have and don't have, especially
- 50:23with next year's draft being a defensive draft.
- 50:26I think you really need to see, okay, are you
- 50:29comfortable with your pass rushers? Are you comfortable
- 50:31with your corners? And maybe even some of your
- 50:33wide receivers as well. Because it looks like
- 50:36to me that the Cardinals are probably going to
- 50:37go through another rebuild. And if you're going
- 50:39through another rebuild, you need to see who
- 50:42is your building blocks for the future. Is it
- 50:44Trey McBride? Is it Paris Johnson? Is it Will
- 50:47Hernandez? Because by doing so, you are creating
- 50:50a hierarchy of what positions you value high
- 50:53and low, which is very important because again,
- 50:57like I said before, this is supposed to be a
- 50:59defensive draft class next year. So that means
- 51:03that, hey, you might be able to get your pass.
- 51:05You might be able to rebuild your cornerback
- 51:07room and safeties and whatnot. You may not be
- 51:09able to do anything for the offense. But with
- 51:11that being said, let's keep this thing going.
- 51:13Let's talk about the Rams. Finish the season
- 51:15with momentum and win your divisional battles.
- 51:18So right now, your remaining opponents are the
- 51:2049ers, Seahawks, Bucks, Panthers, Cardinals,
- 51:24Lions, Seahawks, Falcons, and Cardinals. So this
- 51:27isn't that bad, but I think it's manageable,
- 51:29all right? You know the 49ers and Seahawks are
- 51:32going to be tough matchups. You know the Buccaneers
- 51:34are going to give you some problems. You know
- 51:36the Panthers aren't a team that you can't sleep
- 51:38on. You know the Cardinals are just done at this
- 51:41point, if we're being real here. You know the
- 51:43Lions and Seahawks and maybe even the Falcons
- 51:46may try to put up a fight with you. So it's not
- 51:48just rainbows and unicorns at this point. So
- 51:50don't take your foot off the gas. Increase the
- 51:53pressure on the Seahawks. and make sure you keep
- 51:56winning your divisional and conference battles.
- 51:58Because so far, you haven't won a divisional
- 52:01game. And right now, your conference record is
- 52:03one and two. So you have time to fix it, but
- 52:06the question is, are you going to fix it? Because
- 52:09if you don't, that can negatively affect you
- 52:11when it comes to playoff seeding. Now let's go
- 52:13to the AFC, all right? Let's start with the AFC
- 52:16North. So the Steelers extend the divisional
- 52:19lead while becoming more consistent. Your remaining
- 52:22opponents, the Chargers, the Bengals, the Bears,
- 52:25the Bills, the Ravens, the Dolphins, the Lions,
- 52:28the Browns, and the Ravens again. So right now,
- 52:30you're 5 -3. Your divisional record is 1 -1.
- 52:33Your conference record is 4 -1, which is really
- 52:36good. But the thing is, you haven't really been
- 52:39consistent in the last few weeks. So right now,
- 52:42this is the perfect opportunity for you to start
- 52:44to develop that consistency on both sides of
- 52:47the ball. Because after the Chargers, the Bengals
- 52:50are coming to Pittsburgh. You know you're going
- 52:52to have to face the Bills. You know you're going
- 52:53to have to face the Bears. You know the Ravens
- 52:56aren't no slouch. You know the Dolphins are just,
- 52:58you know, done at this point. No disrespect to
- 53:00y 'all. You know the Lions are going to put up
- 53:02a fight. You know the Browns are going to try
- 53:04to bring you down. And you know that you're going
- 53:06to end the season with the Ravens. And most likely
- 53:09that matchup is going to dictate who wins the
- 53:11division. Because right now, the Ravens, the
- 53:15rest of their schedule is pretty good. Yours,
- 53:17on the other hand, is about to be very difficult.
- 53:19But since we're talking about the Ravens, let's
- 53:21talk about their storyline. So keep the divisional
- 53:23battle close while finish the season strong.
- 53:27So the remaining opponents are the Vikings, Browns,
- 53:29Jets, Bengals, Steelers, Bengals again, Patriots,
- 53:32Packers, and then Steelers. So right now they're
- 53:353 -5, their divisional record is 1 -0, and their
- 53:38conference record is 2 -3. Now they can turn
- 53:41things around, but it's going to be difficult.
- 53:43The Vikings are going to put up a fight. The
- 53:45Bengals, Steelers, Patriots, Packers, they're
- 53:49going to put up a fight. So you got to bring
- 53:51your A game. You can't just have those crappy
- 53:53games like how you had in the first half of the
- 53:55season. Now everything really matters. And you
- 53:58know that the Browns are going to try to bring
- 53:59you down. So don't fall for the trap games. Always
- 54:02be on your P's and Q's and try to win as best
- 54:05as you can. Because right now, if I'm not mistaken,
- 54:09you and the Bengals have the best divisional
- 54:11records. So right now, most likely, you're probably
- 54:14going to lose to the Steelers. And I'm not saying
- 54:16this as a fan. You know the Steelers are going
- 54:18to get their lick back. And you're playing in
- 54:20Pittsburgh. The Patriots aren't no slouch. The
- 54:23Ravens ain't no slouch. The Bills ain't no slouch.
- 54:26And then you have to face the Ravens again. The
- 54:29Dolphins, I mean, you can do whatever you want
- 54:31with them. Cardinals, that's another dub. Browns,
- 54:35that could be a trap game, depending on how things
- 54:38go between the Ravens and the Steelers. I mean,
- 54:40let's be honest here. Just because you trade
- 54:43for Joe Flacco doesn't mean that you guys now
- 54:45have a chance to make it to the playoffs. Because
- 54:48your defense is still trash. Granted, you have
- 54:51the best divisional record. But you're in a really
- 54:54bad spot right now because if you lose two or
- 54:57three more games, that's it. Your season is finito.
- 55:00And it doesn't help that they didn't make any
- 55:02moves to bolster up the defense, which if we're
- 55:05being real here, they probably should have. And
- 55:07I probably should have listed them as a loser
- 55:08as well. But forget about that. Let's talk about
- 55:11the Browns, okay? So assess your roster and prepare
- 55:14for the offseason. Your remaining opponents,
- 55:16the Jets, the Ravens, Raiders, 49ers, Titans,
- 55:19Bears, Bills, Steelers, and Bengals again. Let's
- 55:23be real here. As I've said before, it was either
- 55:26in Wacko Flacko or Paper Champs. You need to
- 55:30use this time to assess what you have between
- 55:33Dylan Gabriel and Shador Sanders if he's healthy.
- 55:36If he's not healthy, then just continue to roll
- 55:38with Dylan Gabriel. But if he is healthy, let
- 55:41Shador Sanders play. Now, I understand there's
- 55:44going to be a lot of media coverage and a whole
- 55:47bunch of questions about Shador and everything.
- 55:50you need to assess what you have between these
- 55:52two. Because for all intents and purposes, you
- 55:55could say, you know what, we're comfortable between
- 55:57these two and we'll just draft a wide receiver
- 56:00or offensive lineman or another position instead
- 56:03of going after a quarterback. Because remember,
- 56:06the Browns have two first round picks. So if
- 56:09they wanted to, they could address quarterback
- 56:11and then they could address wide receiver if
- 56:13they wanted to take that route. Because I mean,
- 56:16listen, their record is two and six. Divisional
- 56:19record is 0 -3. Conference record is 1 -4. I
- 56:22mean, facing the Jets, that's essentially a rock
- 56:25fight. Facing the Raiders, that's a rock fight.
- 56:28Titans, that's a rock fight. Everything else
- 56:31outside of that is basically a slaughter. I'm
- 56:34just being honest. I could be wrong, but that's
- 56:37where the Browns are. Because outside of Myles
- 56:40Garrett, what else is the bright spot on this
- 56:42team? Nothing. Your offensive line needs to be
- 56:46rebuilt. Your wide receiver room is just depleted
- 56:49of talent. I understand Jerry Judy is there,
- 56:52but he really hasn't shown anything. You have
- 56:55David Njoku. Okay, that's promising. You have
- 56:58Quinshawn Junkins. Okay, that's promising. But
- 57:00outside of them, what else do you have? Because
- 57:04the defense is doing their thing. It's the offense
- 57:06that continues to go through these hiccups every
- 57:09single year. And then it doesn't help that you're
- 57:12not going to have a lot of cap space next year.
- 57:14So you're going to have to rely on your draft
- 57:16picks, and you're going to need those draft picks
- 57:18in order to hit quickly. Hey, Miles Garrett,
- 57:22you never should have signed the contract. You
- 57:23should have just stuck with your guns and just
- 57:25asked for a trade. Just saying. But hey, I'm
- 57:27not going to say anything about it. Let's go
- 57:29to the AFC South, all right? So with the Titans,
- 57:31let the ship sink and assess your interim head
- 57:35coach. Right now, your remaining opponents are
- 57:38the Texans, Seahawks, Jags, Browns, 49ers, Chiefs,
- 57:41Saints, and Jags again. Now, we all know their
- 57:44divisional record is atrocious at 0 -3, and their
- 57:47conference record is 0 -7. Just let the season
- 57:51just end, and you need to see what you have in
- 57:53your interim head coach. Can he at least win
- 57:56two or three games? Can he at least motivate
- 57:58this team to play a little bit harder? If he
- 58:02can do those certain things, then hey, maybe
- 58:04you have your next head coach. Or maybe you're
- 58:07just going to say, hey, we like what you did,
- 58:09but we're going to go in a different direction.
- 58:11Because let's be honest here. You're not going
- 58:14anywhere anytime soon. So there's no need for
- 58:16you to really assess anything because there's
- 58:18barely anything on this team. Most likely, they're
- 58:21going to release LeJarrius Snead. Most likely,
- 58:23they're going to release Calvin Ridley. And most
- 58:25likely, they're going to release a few other
- 58:27veteran players on this team. And if I'm Jeffrey
- 58:30Simmons, I'm going to make some noise this offseason
- 58:33because I'm not going to be the person that's
- 58:35going to be left standing here in this crap.
- 58:37I want to win a championship. And there were
- 58:39teams out here that was looking to at least trade
- 58:42for me. But I'm not going to get in my soapbox.
- 58:45I'm going to leave that alone. Now on to the
- 58:47Colts. Lock up the division. Your remaining opponents,
- 58:51the Falcons, Chiefs, Texans, Jags, Seahawks,
- 58:5449ers, Jags again, and then the Texans. Overall,
- 58:58you're in a really good spot. You're undefeated
- 59:00in the division, and you've only lost to the
- 59:02Steelers so far within the conference. So right
- 59:05now, if you're the Colts, try to lock up this
- 59:08division by Thanksgiving. Because I think they
- 59:11have the opportunity to do it. You can beat the
- 59:13Falcons. You possibly can beat the Chiefs. You
- 59:16can beat the Texans because they're having a
- 59:17down year. You can beat the Jags, the Seahawks,
- 59:20the 49ers. Everybody that I have listed so far,
- 59:24you can beat them. But Daniel Jones has to get
- 59:27back on straight street. You cannot have the
- 59:30same performance that you did against the Steelers.
- 59:32And granted, I understand the Steelers were doing
- 59:34a plethora of different things. But you cannot
- 59:37afford doing the same things that you used to
- 59:40do in New York. On to the Jags. Stack wins and
- 59:44try to fight for the division. Your remaining
- 59:46opponents. Texans, Chargers, Cardinals, Titans,
- 59:50Colts, Jets, Broncos, Colts again, and then the
- 59:53Titans again. So right now, this division is
- 59:56pretty much locked up with the Colts and the
- 59:58Jaguars right now, I would say. I don't think
- 1:00:01the Texans are going to do anything this year.
- 1:00:03I know for damn sure the Titans aren't going
- 1:00:05to do anything at all. So with that being said,
- 1:00:08if you're the Jaguars, just continue to stack
- 1:00:10wins and get healthy. Because right now, I want
- 1:00:13to believe that they have a chance to win the
- 1:00:15division, but I just don't believe it right now.
- 1:00:18I think the Colts are way too hot right now,
- 1:00:21and they have all the momentum within the division.
- 1:00:24Now, can crazier things happen? Yes. especially
- 1:00:27with the Colts losing DeForest Buckner for a
- 1:00:30minimum of four games, this could be your opportunity.
- 1:00:33The question is, what are you going to do about
- 1:00:36it? Now on to the Texans. Prepare for the three
- 1:00:39-game gauntlet. Your remaining opponents, the
- 1:00:42Jaguars, the Titans, the Bills, Colts, Chiefs,
- 1:00:45Cardinals, Raiders, Chargers, and Colts again.
- 1:00:48Let's be honest here. I don't think nobody expected
- 1:00:51the Texans to play this bad. And right now, if
- 1:00:54you're the Texans, you just have to survive.
- 1:00:56You can beat the Jags. You can just steamroll
- 1:00:59the Titans at this point. The Bills are probably
- 1:01:02going to give you a problem. The Colts are probably
- 1:01:04going to give you a problem. So right now, you
- 1:01:06just want to just put up a fight. Do something.
- 1:01:10You got to have something positive to say about
- 1:01:13the Texans because man, oh man, oh man, have
- 1:01:16they underperformed. And it's honestly sad because
- 1:01:20when you look at the talent on this team, I think
- 1:01:23everybody was expecting them to at least compete
- 1:01:26against the Colts. I'm not saying they got to
- 1:01:29be just steamrolling everybody in the division,
- 1:01:31but the fact that they're just underperforming
- 1:01:34week after week after week is a little bit troublesome
- 1:01:37because pretty soon you're going to have to pay
- 1:01:39CJ Stroud. And let's not forget, they also have
- 1:01:41to pay Will Anderson as well. Dang, I hate to
- 1:01:44be a Texas fan. But on to the AFC East. For the
- 1:01:47Patriots, lock of the division. Your remaining
- 1:01:50opponents, the Bucks, the Jets, the Bengals,
- 1:01:53the Giants, the Bills, the Ravens, the Jets,
- 1:01:55and the Dolphins. So this is actually pretty
- 1:01:58good. You can beat the Jets, we already know
- 1:02:00that. You can beat the Dolphins, we already know
- 1:02:02that. You've been keeping the Bills in check.
- 1:02:05The Ravens might give you a problem, but I think
- 1:02:08overall, you're in a really good spot. You're
- 1:02:10undefeated in the division, and you're 4 -2 in
- 1:02:12the conference. So as long as you maintain this
- 1:02:15momentum, everything is going to be good. Not
- 1:02:18to mention, playoff football comes back to Foxborough.
- 1:02:21Do you know what that means? That aura, that
- 1:02:24feeling of an opponent being in Foxborough for
- 1:02:27the playoffs? That is a feeling that Patriot
- 1:02:30fans haven't felt in a very long time. And best
- 1:02:33believe if they make it in the playoffs, or better
- 1:02:36yet, win the division and get home field advantage,
- 1:02:40oh, they're going to have to roll out the red
- 1:02:41carpet. You're going to have to bring back Tom
- 1:02:43Brady. You're going to have to bring back Gronk,
- 1:02:46Julian Edelman, all those guys. But let's keep
- 1:02:48this thing going. So on to the Jets. Put up an
- 1:02:51effort while assessing the roster. Your remaining
- 1:02:53opponents, the Browns, Patriots, Ravens, Falcons,
- 1:02:56Dolphins, Jags, Saints, Patriots, and Bills.
- 1:02:59So yes, your season is essentially over. I mean,
- 1:03:02you trade away Sauce Gardner and Quinton Williams,
- 1:03:04but you can still win some games. I think going
- 1:03:07up against the Browns, that's a very winnable
- 1:03:09game. I think going up against the Falcons and
- 1:03:11the Dolphins and the Saints, those are winnable
- 1:03:14games. Because right now you need to see what
- 1:03:17you have on this team and what those five first
- 1:03:20round picks are going to go to. Is it going to
- 1:03:22go to corner, defensive tackle, wide receiver,
- 1:03:24quarterback, offensive line, running back? Because
- 1:03:28right now this whole roster needs to be scrapped.
- 1:03:31And I hate to say it, but... That's just where
- 1:03:33it is. Sometimes you got to scrap it just to
- 1:03:36rebuild it all over again. And granted, they
- 1:03:38have the resources to do it. You have five first
- 1:03:40round picks. And on top of that, if we're being
- 1:03:43real here, just being honest here, you could
- 1:03:46use those second round picks to get back into
- 1:03:48the first round if you want to take that route.
- 1:03:50So you're in a good spot. It's just you're having
- 1:03:53to trade away current assets for future assets.
- 1:03:57It's not bad. Now on to the bills. Fight to win
- 1:04:00the division. Your remaining opponents, the Dolphins,
- 1:04:03the Bucks, Texans, Steelers, Bengals, Patriots,
- 1:04:06Browns, Eagles, and Jets. So right now your divisional
- 1:04:09record is 2 -1 and your conference record is
- 1:04:114 -1. I'll be honest here, you guys have a very
- 1:04:14tough battle against the Patriots right now.
- 1:04:17Because right now, as I've said before a couple
- 1:04:20minutes ago with the Patriots, they go up against
- 1:04:22the Buccaneers, the Jets, the Bengals, the Giants,
- 1:04:25the Bills, the Ravens, the Jets, and the Dolphins.
- 1:04:27Those are all winnable games. Whereas with you
- 1:04:31Bills fans, you have to go up against the Dolphins,
- 1:04:34which I mean, that's automatic W, the Buccaneers,
- 1:04:36the Texans, the Steelers, the Bengals, the Patriots,
- 1:04:39the Browns, the Eagles, and the Jets. Those are
- 1:04:41very tough matchups. And you're going up against
- 1:04:44teams that at this point in the season, they're
- 1:04:48going to put up a fight. So I don't know what
- 1:04:50you have to do. But do it. Because right now,
- 1:04:53that defense played well against the Chiefs,
- 1:04:55but that's just one game. I want to see consistency.
- 1:04:58I want to see how are you going to hold up against
- 1:05:00the Buccaneers, the Eagles, the Steelers, the
- 1:05:05Patriots. Because there might be a chance you
- 1:05:07may have to face them again in the playoffs.
- 1:05:09On to the Dolphins. Use the rest of the season
- 1:05:12to assess the roster while preparing for the
- 1:05:14draft. Your remaining opponents. The Bills, Commanders,
- 1:05:18Saints, Jets, Steelers, Bengals, Bucks, and Patriots.
- 1:05:21Right now, you need to use the remaining games
- 1:05:24to assess Mike McDaniel. You need to see, can
- 1:05:27he keep this team motivated despite them having
- 1:05:30a losing season? Or do you need to scrap everything
- 1:05:32and just go in a different direction? Granted,
- 1:05:35I would have expected the Dolphins to be a little
- 1:05:37bit more aggressive during the trade deadline
- 1:05:39and trade away some of their current players
- 1:05:41for future assets, but clearly that's not the
- 1:05:44case. So if you're the Dolphins, yes, you're
- 1:05:462 -7. I mean, the Jets are 1 -7, but you still
- 1:05:51want to show something. I would rather a team
- 1:05:54like the Dolphins fight through the Bills, Commanders,
- 1:05:58Saints, Jets, Steelers, Bengals, Bucks, and Patriots.
- 1:06:01I would rather put up a fight against all of
- 1:06:04those teams and still lose than to just get blown
- 1:06:07out. And when you look at the tape, nobody is
- 1:06:10just doing the routine things. Nobody is showing
- 1:06:13effort. When your players look defeated on the
- 1:06:16sideline, oh, you basically lost the locker room.
- 1:06:19You lost everybody. But let's talk about the
- 1:06:20AFC West, all right? So with the Broncos, fight
- 1:06:23off the division. So right now, they're one and
- 1:06:25one in the division because they just won against
- 1:06:27the Raiders. They're four and two in the conference,
- 1:06:30which is really good. And so right now, their
- 1:06:33remaining opponents are the Chiefs, Commanders,
- 1:06:36Raiders again, Packers, Jags, Chiefs, and Chargers.
- 1:06:40I think right now they can still beat the Chiefs.
- 1:06:42I think right now they most likely will win the
- 1:06:45division. But the question is, how wide of a
- 1:06:48divisional lead will they have? Because we all
- 1:06:51know this is the part of the season where the
- 1:06:53Chiefs start cooking. And if you want to temp
- 1:06:55that down, you're going to have to start winning
- 1:06:57your division. Now, granted, you just finished
- 1:06:59beating the Raiders on Thursday night. You got
- 1:07:01to face them again. That's another W. You can
- 1:07:03beat the Chiefs. You can beat the Commanders.
- 1:07:05The Packers may be a little bit of a problem.
- 1:07:08The Jags, I mean... W, I would say. Sorry, Jacks
- 1:07:14fans. It's nothing against you. The Chiefs, again,
- 1:07:17that's going to be a tougher matchup because
- 1:07:21that's going to be at the point of the season
- 1:07:23where divisions are going to start being locked
- 1:07:25and we're going to start seeing playoff pictures
- 1:07:28and all those different things. Now, the Chargers,
- 1:07:31at this point, I'll be honest, I don't think
- 1:07:34they're really going to go anywhere because their
- 1:07:36offensive line is atrocious. Justin Herbert just
- 1:07:40can't continue to play hero ball week after week
- 1:07:43after week behind just a ghost of an offensive
- 1:07:47line. I'm just being honest here. I could be
- 1:07:49wrong. But when we talk about the Raiders, focus
- 1:07:51on the 26 draft. Just focus on the draft at this
- 1:07:55point, okay? Count your losses. Max Crosby, just
- 1:07:58find a hobby or something because you guys aren't
- 1:08:01going anywhere. Your remaining opponents. The
- 1:08:04Broncos, the Cowboys, the Browns, the Chargers,
- 1:08:07the Broncos again, the Eagles, the Texans, the
- 1:08:09Giants, and the Chiefs. Those are some difficult
- 1:08:11matchups. And most likely, you are not going
- 1:08:14to win any of those matchups. So at this point,
- 1:08:17you need to start developing your big board and
- 1:08:20just figuring out, okay, who are we going after
- 1:08:22in next year's draft? Are we getting a quarterback?
- 1:08:24Are we getting a wide receiver? Are we getting
- 1:08:26a defensive end? What are we doing at this point?
- 1:08:28Because right now, this roster is incomplete.
- 1:08:31And if we're being real here, The Raiders should
- 1:08:34have traded off Max Crosby because you could
- 1:08:37have used that extra first round pick to address
- 1:08:39another position of need on this team. The offensive
- 1:08:42line is atrocious. Ashton Gentry looks defeated.
- 1:08:46Your wide receiver room, it's promising, but
- 1:08:50it's going to take time to grow. Brock Bowers
- 1:08:52has been in and out of the lineup because he's
- 1:08:54been battling injuries. Your defense, what is
- 1:08:58it? Outside of Max Crosby, what is it? I'll leave
- 1:09:01that there. You guys let me know in the comments.
- 1:09:04On to the Chargers. Stay in the race. Right now,
- 1:09:07your divisional record is 3 -0, which is great.
- 1:09:10And your conference record is 5 -1, which is
- 1:09:12great. The fact that Justin Herbert has been
- 1:09:15able to play the way that he's been playing without
- 1:09:18an offensive line is amazing. Which, I mean,
- 1:09:21if we're being honest here, you may have to put
- 1:09:24him in for MVP. Just saying. Just putting it
- 1:09:27out there. Don't hurt me, okay? But with that
- 1:09:29being said, their remaining opponents are the
- 1:09:31Steelers, the Jaguars, the Raiders, the Eagles,
- 1:09:33the Chiefs, Cowboys, Texans, and Broncos. So
- 1:09:36not the best schedule, but I think they can do
- 1:09:41something. Just, you know, just run the ball,
- 1:09:44okay? Just run the ball. Do not do anything else.
- 1:09:47Don't try to be cool about it. Just run the ball.
- 1:09:50Pass the ball a little bit, all right? That's
- 1:09:53it. Because, man, you're facing the Steelers
- 1:09:56on Sunday night without an offensive line. Then
- 1:09:58you have the Jaguars, which you can beat. The
- 1:10:00Raiders, automatic W. The Eagles, that's going
- 1:10:04to be a fight in itself. The Chiefs are going
- 1:10:06to be a fight. The Cowboys, the Texans, and Broncos.
- 1:10:10All of those are going to be fights. So you're
- 1:10:13in a good spot within your division because right
- 1:10:16now you're undefeated. So maybe if you lose maybe
- 1:10:19a game or two, you'll still be in a good spot.
- 1:10:23Because I don't think the Chiefs are going to
- 1:10:24be number two in the division. And we all know
- 1:10:26the Raiders aren't going anywhere. So just try
- 1:10:29to survive, please. Please, that's all I'm asking.
- 1:10:33Because I really want to see Justin Herbert in
- 1:10:34the playoffs. But that's another story for another
- 1:10:36day, all right? On to the Chiefs. Keep your playoff
- 1:10:40chances alive. Your remaining opponents, the
- 1:10:44Broncos, Colts, Cowboys, Texans, Chargers, Titans,
- 1:10:48Broncos, and Raiders. Now, out of all of those
- 1:10:51names that I just listed, The only two teams
- 1:10:54that I would say is an automatic W is the Titans
- 1:10:57and the Raiders. Outside of that, it is a fight.
- 1:11:02The Broncos is going to be a fight. The Colts
- 1:11:06are going to be a fight. The Cowboys just got
- 1:11:08Quentin Williams. That might be a fight low key.
- 1:11:11The Texans, they not going down either. Now granted,
- 1:11:14you're one and one within your division and you're
- 1:11:17two and three in a conference. So most likely
- 1:11:19you're going to be on the road for the playoffs.
- 1:11:22Which, if we're being real here, I know the Chiefs
- 1:11:25can do it, but the opponents that they're going
- 1:11:28to have to face on the road might be a problem
- 1:11:31for them. Because there's a good chance the Patriots
- 1:11:33are going to win their division, so that means
- 1:11:35the Bills are probably going to be on the road.
- 1:11:37There's a good chance that either the Steelers
- 1:11:39or the Ravens are going to win their division,
- 1:11:41which means whoever doesn't is going to be on
- 1:11:44the road. So if you're the Chiefs, you got to
- 1:11:47go into overdrive. You got to beat the Broncos
- 1:11:49and the Colts and the Texans and the Chargers.
- 1:11:53You have to scratch and claw to try to at least
- 1:11:57get a chance to win the division or at least
- 1:11:59get a high enough seed to where you can face
- 1:12:01a weaker opponent in the playoffs. Because right
- 1:12:04now, the Broncos have the high ground. Star Wars
- 1:12:07reference, if you know, you know. And if we're
- 1:12:11being real here, the way everything looks for
- 1:12:13the rest of the AFC divisions, I don't think
- 1:12:16you want to face the Bills. I don't think you
- 1:12:18want to face the Patriots. I don't think you
- 1:12:20want to face the Ravens. So if you're the Chiefs,
- 1:12:23you're going to have to scratch and claw to at
- 1:12:25least try to get a chance. And even with that
- 1:12:28chance, you're not even really guaranteed to
- 1:12:30have a high enough seed within the playoffs because
- 1:12:33there's been a lot of teams within the AFC that
- 1:12:35have actually been doing well this year. So prepare
- 1:12:38your hearts and minds for the Chiefs to not make
- 1:12:40it to the Super Bowl this year. Oh, what a glory
- 1:12:43day. What a glory day. But I'm going to end this
