Transcript
- 0:09You're listening to the hidden lightness on America Out Loud Talk Radio.
- 0:13I'm your host, Jimmy Hinton.
- 0:15Welcome to the weekend.
- 0:17We have a lot of breaking news.
- 0:20And uh one hot topic story that I'm gonna cover today as we enter into the weekend.
- 0:28I think this is brilliant.
- 0:30Um I think this is utterly, utterly brilliant, and that is Gene Simmons.
- 0:35Gene Simmons uh had an absolutely brilliant conversation with a uh with a reporter from TMZ, and it just uh I gotta play you that clip.
- 0:48And he could not have been more spot on.
- 0:52I I want to begin by playing this clip, and then we're gonna talk about this today because man, there is a lot of exciting things going on, and uh his message couldn't be more timely.
- 1:06It's so fantastic.
- 1:07Listen to this exchange.
- 1:09This is great.
- 1:11I know right now Ben Stiller is calling out the president saying he doesn't want him to use his movie clips for war propaganda.
- 1:17I mean, it sounds like a lot of people are kind of you know criticizing Trump like Hollywood right now, you know, over this war thing.
- 1:24Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:25Because everybody in the world should listen what actors and comedians say because they're so qualified.
- 1:32Basically, shut the f do your art and shut up.
- 1:36Nobody's interested in your opinions.
- 1:38That includes me.
- 1:39Who I vote for, who I like.
- 1:41Who the f you think you are?
- 1:43People in America work hard for their living, and they don't want to be lectured to by people who live in mansions and drive rolls voices.
- 1:51It's time for everybody in the entertainment to shut their pie hole.
- 1:55And just do your art.
- 1:57Nobody cares what you think.
- 1:59I don't.
- 2:00Okay, what will Mark Ruffalo pronounces?
- 2:05Mark Ruffalo, yeah, yeah.
- 2:07Ruffalo Buffalo.
- 2:08Hollow, what does Mark think about politics?
- 2:11I don't care.
- 2:13So you think celebrities should stay out of the politics talk.
- 2:16Well, we both agree.
- 2:18Okay.
- 2:18Yeah.
- 2:18I know or or go to Kylie Jenner and ask him what she thinks of the war so far.
- 2:26I absolutely love that.
- 2:30I don't care.
- 2:31Whatever.
- 2:31Mark Ruffalo, Buffalo, whatever his name is.
- 2:35Nobody cares.
- 2:37Shut your pie hole.
- 2:41Uh we need more people like him.
- 2:44Uh just to let Hollywood know.
- 2:47Like, you know, people are working hard.
- 2:49Nobody cares what you think when you're driving your Rolls Royce around and living in your mansion.
- 2:56We don't care what your opinion is.
- 2:58You know, talk down to us and tell us how how much we're screwing up the world.
- 3:04People don't want to hear that.
- 3:06And Gene is absolutely 100% right.
- 3:10So who knew that the lead singer from Kiss would have so much wisdom?
- 3:15Uh I agree with him.
- 3:18People don't care.
- 3:21It just generally, most people could care less what political affiliation somebody from Hollywood has.
- 3:30It doesn't matter.
- 3:32It literally does not matter.
- 3:35And I want to contrast that a little bit with uh what James Carville says.
- 3:41Now, James Carville, and I I had uh I had praised him before.
- 3:47He's a strategist for the Democrats, and I talked about how he kind of had his finger on the pulse of what's going on in America.
- 3:54Well, I don't know what happened in the last few months, but my goodness is he off his rocker.
- 4:02That dude is messed up.
- 4:06I I just I really want you to hear the contrast between these two.
- 4:11It's so important.
- 4:13It's so so important.
- 4:14On the one hand, you have Gene Simmons, who he's a rocker, he's an entertainer.
- 4:19He's he's um actually criticized Trump in the past, but never really made to my knowledge, didn't make like a whole lot of political statements.
- 4:30He just kind of dropped uh dropped a one-line or something about Trump, and now like I have no idea how he feels about Trump.
- 4:39I know he just received an award recently uh from Trump, but that doesn't mean he likes the guy.
- 4:49I I just don't know.
- 4:50I don't know, and it doesn't matter.
- 4:52He's a hundred percent right.
- 4:53Nobody cares.
- 4:54It doesn't matter.
- 4:56But I want you I want to contrast the difference of attitude.
- 5:00Uh there is a radical radical, radical difference.
- 5:07All right, here we have Carville, James Carville, uh multi-millionaire.
- 5:11He's doing pretty well.
- 5:13I mean, the the uh the old guy ought to be on an island somewhere, just kind of kicking back and joining life and you know, enjoying his retirement.
- 5:20He could live very, very comfortably.
- 5:24I mean, multimillionaire, and uh man, he's about to have a brain aneurysm.
- 5:30Listen to him here.
- 5:32This is on uh the Bongino report, and uh Dan Bongino has a little commentary at the end.
- 5:37This is classic.
- 5:39Listen to James Carville, just absolutely out of it off his rocker, out of his mind.
- 5:46Insane.
- 5:48Good, because what I'm getting ready to say is what a lot of people in this country speak for who I speak for, and I'll speak for a lot of people.
- 5:55You hear me, you fat ass ho.
- 5:57This is what we believe.
- 5:59You're right.
- 6:00I got Trump derangement syndrome.
- 6:03I hate the mother.
- 6:04And you know what?
- 6:05I don't want to get rid of it.
- 6:07I don't want to get better.
- 6:09I want to get worse.
- 6:11I want to hate him more.
- 6:13I'll pray to God in heaven, God rain, the righteous reign of Trump derangement syndrome.
- 6:20Pray for me, Lord.
- 6:21I'm your vessel on this earth.
- 6:23Pray for the people and listen to this.
- 6:25We want more.
- 6:26We want to hate this out of a so much that we can't see straight.
- 6:31I'm sorry.
- 6:32I'm sorry about the I don't, I don't know.
- 6:35I I don't I don't know what to tell you.
- 6:37Do you see why they need the MAGA Civil War now?
- 6:40The MAGA Civil War.
- 6:41Listen to me.
- 6:42The fake MAGA civil war is all they have.
- 6:44If they cannot cause the destruction from inside the tent, they've just given up from outside.
- 6:50Carville's given up any sense of sanity.
- 6:52Look at you.
- 6:54The guy's foaming at the mouth like a rabbit animal.
- 6:56Yeah, he's absolutely right.
- 6:59And he was literally foaming at the mouth.
- 7:03Yeah, Drool coming out the sides of his mouth, and he was I got Trump derangement syndrome.
- 7:09My god, I pray to God that he rains it down on me more.
- 7:17Wow.
- 7:18I mean, can you imagine?
- 7:20Like, can you imagine riding in the car with somebody like that?
- 7:25Yeah, come on.
- 7:26Come on, grandson.
- 7:27Uh hop in the car.
- 7:29We're gonna go for groceries.
- 7:31I hate I wanna hate him so bad I can't see straight.
- 7:37Uh grandpa, can you pull over?
- 7:40Let me out.
- 7:41Um, I'm getting scared.
- 7:45I mean, this is insanity.
- 7:49This is what I'm talking about.
- 7:51I mean, the more the more I interact with people on both the right and the left, it's the left.
- 7:58It's the left consistently who are just absolutely out of control.
- 8:04I mean, to the point where they they literally are asking God to reign the terror of Trump derangement syndrome uh on top of them and let me be your vessel.
- 8:15Let me be your vessel.
- 8:17I hate the man.
- 8:18You know, like just total gibberish.
- 8:22I mean, the guy needs uh he needs to be locked in a padded room.
- 8:26I mean, what possibly could compel you to hate somebody that badly.
- 8:34I mean, who what?
- 8:37What in the world could cause you to hate somebody that bad, that bad.
- 8:44You lose your marbles over that person.
- 8:48I just absolutely nobody has that amount of power over me.
- 8:53I just I I've I couldn't I can't wrap my mind around it.
- 8:58You know, Mark Ruffalo Buffalo.
- 9:01Same thing.
- 9:02It's the guy's a good actor.
- 9:04Gene Simmons is right.
- 9:06Shut your pie hole, go back to go back to entertaining people.
- 9:10That's why I like Jay Leno so much.
- 9:13I don't have a clue.
- 9:14I have no idea how Jay Leno votes.
- 9:17No idea.
- 9:18Don't care.
- 9:20No idea.
- 9:21He's a great entertainer.
- 9:24Brilliant entertainer.
- 9:27And Jay Leno, you know, for last year, uh, during the Palestades fires, people are trying to trap him and get him to say, like, who's at fault for the fires and you know, basically asking him what his political position and and Jay Leonard was like, look, I'm here to entertain.
- 9:48I'm here to give some smiles to people to thank our first responders for for uh what they do saving lives.
- 9:57I'm not here to talk about politics.
- 10:01And I love what he said.
- 10:03He went on, he clarified, and he said, the second I open my mouth.
- 10:08I've proved that I don't have a clue what I'm talking about.
- 10:11I'm not a firefighter.
- 10:12I don't know what it takes to put fires out.
- 10:14I don't know.
- 10:15Who's at fault?
- 10:16I don't know.
- 10:18I'm just here to make people laugh.
- 10:21Here to make people smile.
- 10:23Entertain people.
- 10:25Gene Simmons gets it.
- 10:26I put him right up there with Jay Leno.
- 10:28I it's uh right exactly up there with Jay Leno.
- 10:35You know, you have all these uh, all these actors saying, you you can't use my you can't use my uh clips from my movies.
- 10:47Their musicians demanding that Trump like threatening to sue him he he can't use their music because he's a fascist.
- 10:59Trump just he just does his dance, you know, he does the Trump dance, you know, bouncing his arms up and down, and he doesn't care.
- 11:08He's gonna keep using their music.
- 11:12I mean, this is wild, folks.
- 11:15Absolutely wild.
- 11:16And that's why, you know, it's hard to take people seriously.
- 11:18It's hard to take Mark Ruffalo Buffalo seriously when he's uh he's an incredible Hulk.
- 11:25Like that's what he's known for.
- 11:27And then all of a sudden he's some expert on Trump derangement syndrome, you know.
- 11:35Can you imagine him and James Carville riding together on a road trip?
- 11:40You know, never mind uh Carville's grandson.
- 11:42Can you imagine Mark Ruffalo and the two of them just like white raging in the car together, punching the ceiling and it'd be man, I'd love to be a fly on the wall.
- 11:54We are somebody ought to arrange that.
- 11:56We ought to arrange a road trip with James Carville and Mark Ruffalo Buffalo.
- 12:04You know, mount the GoPros all over the car, get different angles.
- 12:08I'd pay for that.
- 12:10Heck yeah, I'd pay for that.
- 12:13That'd be entertaining for about two minutes.
- 12:17That is just wild.
- 12:21I just I've never seen anything like it.
- 12:23And and that's exactly the definition of Trump derangement syndrome.
- 12:30When that uh term first started being uh floated around, uh I was like, yeah, like that's kind of insulting to people and TDS, and you know, it's catchy, a little bit funny, but I I was thinking to myself, self, that's a little bit offensive to people, and so I didn't use it.
- 12:53Because it's so subjective, too, right?
- 12:56Very subjective.
- 12:57But now I'm like, holy cow, like the the urban dictionary will put a it'll put a screenshot of James Carville doing his rant, drooling out the side of both sides of his mouth as the definition for Trump derangement syndrome.
- 13:13TDS.
- 13:16That is the picture of it.
- 13:19And and so what Bon Gino was saying, I don't listen, to be honest and to be fair, I just I don't listen to Bon Gino.
- 13:26Um I don't know.
- 13:29One, I just don't have the time, but two, I once I start listening to one commentator, and I'll I'll uh listen to people on both sides, to be fair.
- 13:39I I don't listen to people on one side.
- 13:45Um but I just uh don't have a whole lot of interest, to be honest.
- 13:50Whatever.
- 13:52But I I do agree with Bon Gino on that.
- 13:57That the left needs this civil war.
- 14:02Yeah, it's all they talk about.
- 14:05We're in the middle of a civil war, and and all heck is gonna break loose in in America, and it's all gonna be at the helm of the the Trumpers.
- 14:16And so you have the never Trumpers coming against the Trumpers and all these fascists and and white supremacists are they're just so violent.
- 14:25Like you hear that all the time, even the the left-wing media.
- 14:28They talk about how violent right wing, so violent.
- 14:35And then they throw their fake statistics about you know, most of the violent crimes are committed by MAGA.
- 14:44And it's just it's it's it's so crazy.
- 14:48It's so crazy.
- 14:51And this is why they also hate John Fetterman.
- 14:55I mean, you want to talk about a deep hatred.
- 14:59They can't stand.
- 15:00Can you imagine Carville?
- 15:02Like anything that Senator Fetterman agrees on that Trump does, like for example, the war.
- 15:10Fetterman just flat out says, no, I think it was the right thing to do.
- 15:15I don't like war.
- 15:17He's like, I'm not a fan of war, but given the intel, going to the briefings, and given the intel that we were given, yeah, it's it needed to be done.
- 15:28And he even went a step farther.
- 15:30He's like, I I just have not gonna lose any sleep over the uh Alatola being obliterated.
- 15:39He's like, I'm not gonna lose a wink of sleep.
- 15:42Well, that's making people on the left lose their they're like, wait, no, love, peace, joy, everyone, harmony.
- 15:51And then like you take a step back, and you're like, wait, you are very literally siding with terrorists.
- 16:04Like you're you're literally defending terrorists.
- 16:09You're empathizing with terrorists.
- 16:13No, we're not.
- 16:15Yeah, you actually are.
- 16:17Um, it's just crazy.
- 16:20Gene Simmons, Gene Simmons for president.
- 16:23There we go.
- 16:25I think we ought to get Gene Simmons for Prez.
- 16:29It's just so a brilliant, brilliant mind.
- 16:34And uh, yeah.
- 16:45You know, that they just don't want to hear it from all you people living in your multi-million dollar mansions.
- 16:53So, yeah, pretty pretty interesting stuff.

- 19:49I gotta play this clip again.
- 19:51It absolutely just sums up everything right about the world.
- 19:58I mean, I
- 20:00This just brought me so much joy.
- 20:02Uh so wonderful.
- 20:03He's telling people, no matter what political affiliation you have, he's telling wealthy people, entertainers, just shut up.
- 20:14Shut up, entertain people, and basically enjoy life.
- 20:20Nobody cares about your politics.
- 20:22Nobody cares how you vote.
- 20:24Nobody cares.
- 20:25They really don't.
- 20:27You gotta hear this clip again.
- 20:29Brilliant.
- 20:34I know right now Ben Stiller is calling out the president saying he doesn't want him to use his movie clips for war propaganda.
- 20:41I mean, it sounds like a lot of people are kind of, you know, criticizing Trump like Hollywood right now, you know, over this war thing.
- 20:47Yeah, but yeah, because everybody in the world should listen what actors and comedians say because they're so qualified.
- 20:55Basically, shut the f do your art and shut up.
- 20:59Nobody's interested in your opinions.
- 21:01That includes me.
- 21:02Who I vote for, who I like.
- 21:04Who the f you think you are?
- 21:06People in America work hard for their living and they don't want to be lectured to by people who live in mansions and drive rolls voices.
- 21:14It's time for everybody in the entertainment industry to shut their piehole.
- 21:19And just do your art.
- 21:20Nobody cares what you think.
- 21:22I don't.
- 21:23Okay.
- 21:24What what will Mark Ruffalo he pronounces this?
- 21:28Mark Ruffalo, yeah.
- 21:30Ruffalo Buffalo.
- 21:31Hollow, what does Mark think about politics?
- 21:34I don't care.
- 21:36So you think celebrities should stay out of the politic talk.
- 21:39Well, we both agree.
- 21:41Okay.
- 21:41Yeah.
- 21:42I know.
- 21:42Or go to Kylie Jenner and ask him what she thinks of the war so far.
- 21:49I just can't script that any better.
- 21:54Just absolutely brilliant.
- 21:57Brilliant.
- 22:00So that interview took place on March 10th with TMZ.
- 22:05Simmons, by the way, there's a picture.
- 22:08Uh people did an article on this, and uh, I'm gonna read through this a little bit, but they put a picture of Gene Simmons, uh Buffalo, Mark Buffalo, and Ben Stiller, all beside each other.
- 22:27I gotta tell you.
- 22:29Gene Simmons looks pretty young.
- 22:33He's 76 years old.
- 22:35He looks pretty good.
- 22:36Next to Buffalo and and uh Ben Stiller.
- 22:41Man, those dudes are looking rough, and I think that's part of what uh what hatred does to you when you're so full of hate and animosity, and you just don't know how to smile anymore.
- 22:53Yeah, Ben Stiller.
- 22:54I I still I still do.
- 22:57I guess I I said I used to, I still do.
- 22:59I I love his movies.
- 23:00I mean, dude's funny, very talented, extremely talented actor.
- 23:07But man, he's not aging well, he looks rough.
- 23:12And then uh Buffalo, Ruffalo, he looks ruffalo himself.
- 23:19He's got this uh scowl on his face.
- 23:24Like his skin is all, he just he looks rough, his color is off, he looks bad, he does not look healthy.
- 23:34It's just it's it's not good for your health to carry that much hatred, and to be so angry and so opinionated, and you're just always lecturing people and telling you.
- 23:46It's like the uh we we had the term come out years ago, the term Karen, which still people are still using.
- 23:56But it's like the the angry, the angry women, and I apologize to anybody whose name is Karen.
- 24:03I know several Karen's, and I gotta tell you, they're the sweetest people in the world, and it's just unfortunate.
- 24:08I actually don't use that term because I know a lot of Karen's who are the absolute sweetest people in the world, and even though it's funny, um, I just I don't call people that I don't use it as a slang term.
- 24:24That's just my personal personal thing.
- 24:27Um you know it in my family.
- 24:30We we all call each other names and we joke around and everybody has a nickname, but that's just one I just I don't use it.
- 24:39Um I I just don't so whatever.
- 24:44I mean, to each his own.
- 24:46It's a it's a free country, I guess.
- 24:49But you know, we came up with that term because there was a lady who apparently her name was Karen, and I think it originated in a park where a guy was um he was cooking out on a designated grill that was in the park, and she went on and on about how you can't have an open flame and just going absolutely crazy.
- 25:15And then she calls the cops, and then if I remember right, if that's the same one, and I may be remembering the facts wrong, because there are so many of these videos now.
- 25:23But uh wasn't it uh she was white and and the guy was a black man, and she was like threatening to say or she did say that that some black guy is threatening me, like just crazy stuff.
- 25:40And the guy in the video was like super cool, just very, very chill, and uh I don't know.
- 25:47So anyway, the the the nickname Karen got passed around for anybody who is like completely deranged, and then you started noticing wow, like the people who are yelling and screaming and shouting and and hurling insults, they all kind of look alike, and they don't look good.
- 26:13And they're actually like there've been I I've seen these things passed passed around where they talk about what people on the left versus people on the right look like and how people on the right are are generally more attractive.
- 26:26Uh there's this one video, and I'm not saying there's anything to this.
- 26:30I I just I'm just saying this because uh I'm looking at Buffalo and Ben Stiller, and they uh I'm looking at their picture right now, and they just do not look healthy.
- 26:43They don't look good, they don't look well.
- 26:46Um but anyway, yeah, they've they've done these fun things where they're like, yeah, look, uh, we'll show you a sampling of 50 people on on the far left, and then 50 people on the right, and you tell us who who's who, who's on the left, who's on the right, and they put these pictures beside each other, and I gotta tell you, it's it is actually pretty convincing.
- 27:14But I think part of that is just it's it's that constant anger.
- 27:21You know, it's like the the James Carville.
- 27:24I got Trump derangement syndrome, I don't want to get rid of it, I want it more.
- 27:30He's just drooling and and yelling and screaming, and it's just not productive, and I I've seen people now where you just can't even reason with them.
- 27:44Like if they even if they even know, if they even think that you voted for Trump, it's like they just instantly change.
- 27:55They don't even have to know.
- 27:56They just have to, they just have to speculate, and they lose their minds.
- 28:05I just don't get it.
- 28:06I I don't understand.
- 28:08And those are the people who we we're supposed to listen to, get our moral compass from.
- 28:15I don't know.
- 28:17So anyway, Gene Simmons, his whole thing, he's like basically shut the F up.
- 28:24Do your art and shut up.
- 28:27Nobody's interested in their opinions.
- 28:30That includes me.
- 28:32Who I vote for, who I like.
- 28:34And he's right.
- 28:35I don't care who I don't care who Gene Simmons voted for.
- 28:39It's none of my business.
- 28:41I don't want to know.
- 28:44I mean, that's how much I don't care.
- 28:47I don't want to know.
- 28:49It does not matter.
- 28:54At the end of the day, that has nothing to do with their acting ability.
- 28:59It has nothing to do with their level of talent.
- 29:04You know, look at Jim Carrey.
- 29:07One of the most talented actors, and he I mean, literally started losing his mind.
- 29:14He went on that whole thing against Trump and just uh the artwork, like doing artwork, painting these grim pictures, and I don't know.
- 29:26Like, I think he's starting to get his sanity back, but somewhat, but I mean, he just went off the rails.
- 29:34And he was so anti-Trump that he just he he couldn't help himself, and he just looked mentally not well.
- 29:45So TDS, like people joke about it, but it it really does.
- 29:50It impairs people.
- 29:53Listen, or Carville, I want to be so I want to be so angry that I don't see straight.
- 30:00Wow.
- 30:04I mean, like he's asking, praying that he be a vessel of Trump Derangement syndrome.
- 30:14That God make him so angry that he can't see straight.
- 30:21And that's one of the top strategists for the Democrats.
- 30:27They're in big trouble.
- 30:29I've been saying this for well over a year now.
- 30:34That I just don't see that party recovering from whatever it is.
- 30:40I mean, they just they took a really dark path.
- 30:44And I gotta tell you, I want nothing to do with the Democratic Party.
- 30:48Not that I do much with the Republicans either.
- 30:52But I identify much less with Democrats now.
- 30:58I mean, when I see what they do to John Fennerman.
- 31:04I mean, the whole party hates him.
- 31:09And then they and then they rally around AOC.
- 31:12Are you kidding me?
- 31:16That's just not a party I'm gonna vote for.
- 31:19Sorry.
- 31:20I used to vote.
- 31:21I used to vote plenty, Democrats.
- 31:26I just I don't I have less and less in common with them anymore.
- 31:32That level of anger, that level of hatred.
- 31:37And then they're the ones saying that people on the right are full of hate.
- 31:40I gotta tell you, I live, I live in a something like a 95% red county.
- 31:49And I've never felt uncomfortable around people, even people who hold really strong political ideas.
- 32:01And we do have people.
- 32:03We have people who are very opinionated.
- 32:06I mean, they're like Trump could walk on water.
- 32:11They just absolutely love him, and they they think he's the greatest thing.
- 32:15And I just don't fit in that category.
- 32:18Um, but I've never seen people be violent.
- 32:21I've never seen them force their opinion on other people.
- 32:25I've never seen them reject people who hold a different opinion.
- 32:30I talked about this over Halloween.
- 32:34You know, we were walking around different neighborhoods in our community.
- 32:40And people had their this is back during during the uh election season.
- 32:47Yeah, when President Trump was elected this last time, we'd be walking around from house to house, and and there were more and more people getting pretty bold about putting our signs out, their Kamala Harris signs.
- 33:03And so for the few people who did, and and I do think some people jumped ship.
- 33:08They jumped to the Democratic Party and they didn't just jump, like they would put their signs out.
- 33:16Where before it was like, yeah, you'd see some signs every now and then, but I mean, uh, our town was littered with signs.
- 33:23And right next door, you'd have people put their Trump sign.
- 33:26It was like they tried to outdo each other to see who could put up the bigger sign and just be more in your face.
- 33:34And uh I'd see the neighbors going out, like hanging out on each other's porches and talking to each other and just chilling out.
- 33:45Yeah, there was zero, like zero animosity.
- 33:50And I still believe, I still honest to goodness, I believe that most Democrats, unfortunately, for them, because they're they're painted as complete lunatics.
- 34:02I think most of them are actually pretty reasonable people.
- 34:07I think most of them probably don't have much of a problem sitting down with Republicans and being friends with them.
- 34:15At least the ones who I know.
- 34:19Yeah, most of them.
- 34:21They're a handful that are kind of off their rockers, but I think most of this is being driven from entertainers and politicians.
- 34:30They're the bad apples making the whole party look like they're insane.
- 34:36You know, so uh when I say am I identifying less and less with the Democrats, a big part of that is because the politicians.
- 34:49You know, they're the ones just absolutely looking like buffoons.
- 34:57My own governor's one of them.
- 35:00Yeah, and I voted for him.
- 35:03And I just thought I wouldn't vote for him again, not in a million years.
- 35:10Yeah, it's unfortunate.
- 35:13Just unfortunate what's happening to the Democratic Party and the TDS and the the willful TDS.
- 35:20You know, it's not like people just have it and they don't know it.
- 35:24Listen to what Carville says.
- 35:27I have it and I want more of it.
- 35:32I hate Trump.
- 35:36Wow.
- 35:38Wow, you're a pleasant little fella, aren't you?
- 35:45And so that's why Gene Simmons is a hundred percent right.
- 35:53People don't want to hear people don't, I mean, maybe people don't want to hear my opinion.
- 35:57I don't know.
- 35:59I try to share good stories, positive stories, but you know, as far as I as far as who I voted for for president, it's not really anybody's business.
- 36:12You know?
- 36:13That's just I don't advertise it to anybody.
- 36:18Literally, the only person I've ever told, to my knowledge, is my own wife, and that's just because when when uh she got home from voting, we didn't talk about it before we voted.
- 36:31You know, we didn't we don't we never ask each other who are you voting for.
- 36:37But sometimes after she'll be like, so how'd you vote?
- 36:42Just out of curiosity.
- 36:45And then we we both say who we voted for and we move on.
- 36:49We did we never bring it up again.
- 36:53We don't, I mean, we do not talk politics.
- 36:57My wife and I now, some of my kids will bring some things up, stuff that they hear at school, and you know, just things that are interesting.
- 37:06Now I have a daughter who's in youth and government, and she's it's her first year.
- 37:11And so she asked me questions, but like just informational.
- 37:19So, yeah, it doesn't matter.
- 37:21Stimmons is right, nobody cares, nobody cares how you vote.
- 37:25Just go on, live your life, move on.

- 39:02Grow smarter.
- 39:08Gene Simmons still, I think just it was brilliant.
- 39:13What he said.
- 39:14Um he had a TMZ interview, and they're asking him about celebrities like Mark Ruffalo and Ben Stiller, uh, Ben Stiller, I guess, has been uh demanding that Trump not use clips of of his stuff for movies or whatever, and uh using it for war propaganda.
- 39:39And so the the lady was asking Gene Simmons what he thought about that, and he's like, Yeah, I I think uh these people should shut up, shut their pie hole.
- 39:47He's like, nobody wants to, nobody cares about their political opinions.
- 39:52And uh, and he's right, I agree with him.
- 39:55He's like, just shut your pie hole and and go entertain people, just do.
- 40:00Your art.
- 40:01And he said, nobody cares, including me.
- 40:03Nobody cares what I think about the war and politics and things like that.
- 40:10Yet these people are entertainers, and they want to have this big platform, this big political platform, and then lecture people about how to live their lives.
- 40:21And he said, nobody wants you in your multi-million dollar mansion driving your Rolls Royce telling people how to live their lives.
- 40:29And he's right.
- 40:31We don't.
- 40:33I can speak as is an average, very average, ordinary, hardworking American.
- 40:40I don't care what celebrities have to say about politics.
- 40:45I just don't.
- 40:49So yeah, he's right.
- 40:51And I want to I'm gonna prove Gene Simmons' point.
- 40:59You know, like he's he's talking about how people are just hard working Americans, and they just they they want to go on about life and live their lives and not worry about what other people think.
- 41:17And uh ironically, ironically, you can tell who the people are coming from the left.
- 41:26Listen to the comment.
- 41:27I want to read some of the comments.
- 41:30That's his B list celebrity opinion.
- 41:33So he should walk the walk and shut up about it.
- 41:38Uh here's another one.
- 41:39Translation, I got an award.
- 41:41Leave my guy alone.
- 41:45Another one.
- 41:47Gene Simmons is as two faced as his painted face persona.
- 41:51No one is interested in your opinion, Gene.
- 41:55I wonder what political party these people belong to.
- 41:58I'm just uh just guessing, just wondering.
- 42:05Here's another one.
- 42:06Gene Simmons should take his own advice.
- 42:09Using other artist work without permission is not political, nor is pedophilia, robbing America blind while cutting food, health care, etc.
- 42:18Promoting racism, religion, homophobia, xenophobia, or violence against Americans and immigrants, these issues of right versus wrong, these are issues of right versus wrong and basic human decency.
- 42:38He's just having a hard time guessing what political party that person belongs to.
- 42:46So crazy, crazy crazy stuff.
- 42:53But Gene Simmons, I I actually agree with him.
- 42:57I I think that most Americans just don't care.
- 43:02There's always that small handful, and then yeah, you know, you have the keyboard warriors, and they want to come out and they just want to raise a stink and be angry, but it goes back to to Carville, James Carville, and he's not alone.
- 43:17I mean, uh like him saying that he wants to be mad, he wants to rage.
- 43:24He's not alone.
- 43:26There are a lot of people who feel that way.
- 43:30They just they can't smile, they can't just enjoy life.
- 43:36And my question is.
- 43:39What if they could?
- 43:41What if?
- 43:42What if people actually smiled?
- 43:49Like, can you imagine saying I want to be so angry, I want to be so mad and full of hate that I can't see straight.
- 44:00Can you imagine?
- 44:01Like those words actually came out of James Carville's slobbery mouth.
- 44:10I want to hate so much that I can't see straight.
- 44:19Wow.
- 44:21You're uh pleasant little fella there.
- 44:28So what what do you do with that?
- 44:29I mean, when when those are the kinds of people that you're encountering, and then they want to argue they want to argue that nobody on the right wants to talk to them, give them the time of day.
- 44:44Well, gee, I can't put my finger on it.
- 44:47I can't figure out why.
- 44:50You know.
- 44:53I just can't quite seem to put it put my finger on why you can't reason with people on the right.
- 45:01Maybe it's because you're spitting all over them and and cussing them out and talking about how much you hate them.
- 45:09And so my point is if more of us took Gene Simmons approach and just said at the end of the day, it doesn't matter, whatever, who cares?
- 45:20Who cares how you voted, and that it includes all of us.
- 45:25Who cares how we vote?
- 45:27Just be a neighbor to your neighbor.
- 45:29If you're an entertainer, just entertain people.
- 45:33If you're a Christian, just be a Christian.
- 45:39If you're uh a mechanic, be a mechanic.
- 45:44If you're in the NBA, just play basketball.
- 45:49If you're in the MLB, just play baseball, just entertain people.
- 45:54It's really not that complicated.
- 45:57You know, this shouldn't be that difficult.
- 46:02But I think people want so badly to be validated and to be heard, and they want their opinion to matter that they lose all control.
- 46:14And when that happens, we've ceased to be the united states of America.
- 46:25But my my my plea is not that we all tone it down, that we all come together, because honestly, I think most of us do.
- 46:34Most of us are unified.
- 46:37And that's the hidden lightness in all this.
- 46:42You know, there's this false pretense that MAGA's about to start a civil war, that Donald Trump is starting World War Three with what's happening in Iran, and these narratives just take root, and people take them and run with them.
- 47:02But the reality is virtually most of Americans are pretty peaceful, calm people.
- 47:15And that's why I share these stories constantly, all the time.
- 47:20You know, kindless prevails.
- 47:23And we're not going to let hate win.
- 47:27And all the false narratives and and uh, you know, people claiming that MAGA's dangerous and they're violent and they're they're destroying America.
- 47:38I just I reject that premise.
- 47:42I reject it because there's no evidence that says that that's true.
- 47:50And then combined with all the stories, all the positive stories, look at the GoFundMe's.
- 47:55I mean, I it's just wild.
- 47:57I had like five or six other stories queued up.
- 48:02And I figured, oh, I probably ought to back off of the go fund me's because people might get tired of hearing it all the time, but uh it's just they're all over the place.
- 48:16People helping people and raising tens and if not hundreds of thousands of dollars for people who are in need.
- 48:27I mean, that's the America that we're living in.
- 48:30That's the America that I know.
- 48:35That's the America that I see.
- 48:37And if everybody, if everybody just went back to entertaining and and you know being unified and not talking about how much they hate the other side.
- 48:52Maybe the world would be a lot brighter place.
- 48:56And that's where I completely agree with Gene Simmons.
- 49:01And who knew that Gene Simmons would be one of the leading voices of reason?
- 49:07But he is.
- 49:26They cancel other celebrities, and there's there are people who talk about it.
- 49:30Rob Schneider's one, he talks about it.
- 49:34He said, you can't even hint that you agree with anything that Donald Trump does, or you'll you'll get blacklisted in Hollywood.
- 49:45They will absolutely blacklist you.
- 49:49Never been other um entertainers who've said the same thing.
- 49:55Look at what happened to um Gina Carrano.
- 50:00Do you remember her from The Mandalorian?
- 50:03She was in a years long dispute with Walt Disney Company after she was fired from the Mandalorian in 2021.
- 50:13She sued uh she sued them for wrongful termination and discrimination in 2024.
- 50:21And then in August of last year, both Disney and Corano confirmed that they had settled the lawsuit for an undisclosed amount of money.
- 50:31She was fired in 2021 after getting backlash over a controversial social media post.
- 50:43She sent a message that compared how conservatives were being treated during the COVID-19 pandemic to how Jewish people were treated by the Nazis during the Holocaust.
- 50:53Now, do I think that uh was appropriate?
- 50:57No.
- 51:00Uh I have a pretty strong opinion on that that when you start acting like you're persecuted when you're not.
- 51:08There's a difference between people losing their minds, even what Carville's doing.
- 51:12He's not persecuting people.
- 51:14He's a lunatic.
- 51:17But he's not.
- 51:18I would never say, oh, he's he's persecuting conservatives.
- 51:24And the Holocaust wasn't, I mean, that wasn't even persecution.
- 51:29That was far worse.
- 51:32I mean, that was flat out terrorism.
- 51:36And so to compare anybody to either the victims or the perpetrators of the Holocaust is just wrong.
- 51:48It's just wrong, and that's why I bark about that all the time.
- 51:50And that goes for both sides.
- 51:51I don't care if you're conservative or liberal.
- 51:56You can't compare people to the Holocaust.
- 51:59You can't say that Trump is Hitler.
- 52:04You can't compare Christians or conservatives to victims of the Holocaust.
- 52:13It's not the same.
- 52:15It's really not the same.
- 52:19So, yeah, I radically disagree with her, but should she have been fired?
- 52:26Probably not.
- 52:30So anyway, you know, if if everybody just kept their opinions to themselves on both sides of the aisle.
- 52:39Gina should have kept her opinion to herself.
- 52:42Nobody cares.
- 52:42Nobody cares what she thinks.
- 52:48Nobody cares what Mark Ruffalo Buffalo thinks.
- 52:52Nobody cares what Ben Stiller thinks.
- 52:55Nobody cares what Jim Carrey thinks.
- 52:59Or anybody else.
- 53:01We could go on and on and on.
- 53:02Nobody cares.
- 53:05So if people just keep their opinions to themselves and go on and live their lives and entertain people, I would love to see a world where people just rolled up their sleeves and help their neighbors.
- 53:19And again, I'll say it probably a hundred times.
- 53:24That's why I love Jay Leno so much.
- 53:29He did exactly that.
- 53:30He showed the world.
- 53:31He demonstrated to the world.
- 53:34How to just roll your sleeves up and make people laugh and entertain people and have a good time and how to bring smiles to people in a time of need and encouragement.
- 53:46It's really that simple.
- 53:50Gene Simmons.
- 53:52It's really that simple.
- 53:55Just be a decent person and people.
- 54:00Move on.
- 54:01Live life.
- 54:02Love your neighbor.
- 54:04Life goes on.
- 54:07You know, it's all right if we have different opinions from each other.
- 54:10That's really not the end of the world.
- 54:13Even on the war.
- 54:14I mean, I understand people have strong opinions about the war.
- 54:17I get it.
- 54:18And that's okay.
- 54:18It's okay to have strong opinions about that.
- 54:22But at the end of the day, if we're going to lecture people and lose friendships, blow up friendships over that.
- 54:29That's what's the point?
- 54:32You know, for what?
- 54:33How does that unify us?
- 54:36How does that accomplish anything productive?
- 54:40And the answer is it doesn't.
- 54:44So, yeah, I'm hopeful.
- 54:46I really am.
- 54:47I remain, I always remain hopeful.
- 54:50I'm an optimist.
- 54:50I have uh one of my church members, he's like, you're you're such an optimist.
- 54:57Like, yeah, I am.
- 54:59And it's not that I like only look for the good in the world, because I don't.
- 55:06But even when things are really bad, I I look for the hope.
- 55:11I look for positive ways that uh to move forward.
- 55:18Life is hard, life is tough.
- 55:22And if we're just gonna point fingers at each other and be enemies, it's not gonna make it any easier.
- 55:29I can assure you of that.
- 55:32So the best option in my mind is for us to all come together and be one, be unified, be brothers and sisters, go back to enjoying entertainers and let them do their thing.
- 55:46Um if people shared less about their political affiliation and just entertained and did what they do, I think the world would be such a happier place.
- 55:59Be very carefree.
- 56:00Think about the 80s, man.
- 56:01The 80s, my one son is right.
- 56:04He was born in the wrong era, the wrong decade.
- 56:10The 80s were awesome, man.
- 56:13Just people are so carefree.
- 56:16As a kid, I remember being so carefree.
- 56:20Now it's like kids are being traumatized and drug out to drag shows and all this weird stuff.
- 56:28Told that they have to have a sex change and you know, all this bizarre stuff.
- 56:32Like just let kids be kids.
- 56:35That, my friends, is the hidden lightness.
- 56:38There's so much hope in America.
- 56:40So much hope.
- 56:41You can find more out about my show and get all the latest podcasts if you go to the menu navigation board at America Outloud.news under our shows or schedule.
- 56:48You'll be in the know.
- 56:49There is a hidden lightness that shines aside of all of us.
- 56:52When there's so much darkness that envelops the world, remember that it doesn't take much light to expose that darkness and to ultimately inspire other people.
- 56:59Join me in being a light.
