- 0:01Speaker 1: All right, let's talk about it. Game's over. I mean,
- 0:02Speaker 1: the score may change. Currently, it's 45-10 with 10 minutes
- 0:06Speaker 1: left in the fourth quarter. But regardless, the results are
- 0:09Speaker 1: not going to change. Missouri is going to get its
- 0:11Speaker 1: second AP Top 10 winning the Eli Drink with Sarah.
- 0:14Speaker 1: And we can't say that Florida has won back-to-back ranked
- 0:16Speaker 1: games for the first time since 2008 because they got
- 0:18Speaker 1: their asses handed to them. Credit where credit's due. Missouri
- 0:21Speaker 1: stepped on up. They delivered. They made sure to leave
- 0:23Speaker 1: no shred of doubt that they were one of the
- 0:25Speaker 1: top 25 best teams in college football. And Austin Simmons
- 0:29Speaker 1: is legit. But that's not the question here. The question
- 0:31Speaker 1: is what the hell happened a week later after getting
- 0:34Speaker 1: a dominant victory at home against Ole Miss where everything
- 0:38Speaker 1: went up in flames? Everything. Offense, defense, special teams. There's
- 0:42Speaker 1: not a single thing that you can look at right
- 0:43Speaker 1: now that says Florida is promising. And the worst part
- 0:46Speaker 1: is that what is the outlook for Florida moving forward?
- 0:49Speaker 1: Is this correctable? What needs to change? What went so
- 0:52Speaker 1: wrong that this is now where you are? Let's talk
- 0:55Speaker 1: about it. Welcome on in to SEC Football Addiction. Cole

- 1:26Speaker 1: of doubt. Credit where credit's due. Missouri came into this
- 1:29Speaker 1: game fresh off of a demoralizing loss a week ago
- 1:34Speaker 1: at Mississippi State and laid down the hammer. They dominated.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Austin Simmons slung it around like nobody's business and made
- 1:41Speaker 1: it look easy. Jamal Roberts, Mulfara, Houdini act twice for
- 1:46Speaker 1: a 200-yard day. They dominated. And their defensive line shutting
- 1:52Speaker 1: down not only Jaden Ball But making life a breeze
- 1:58Speaker 1: for Aaron Filo. I mean, they got pure hell for
- 2:00Speaker 1: Aaron Filo. 11 tackles for losses and counting. Four sacks
- 2:03Speaker 1: and counting. What the hell happened? It's a big question mark,
- 2:07Speaker 1: and I'm not even sure how to describe it. Now,
- 2:09Speaker 1: one thing that we have to say. Missouri is now,
- 2:12Speaker 1: I think, guaranteed a top 25 team. They delivered a
- 2:15Speaker 1: performance to remember, and they're sneaky. And their entire outlook
- 2:18Speaker 1: changes because of this game. But for Florida, what went wrong?
- 2:23Speaker 1: Let's start off with the obvious. The offensive line did
- 2:25Speaker 1: not show on up. The offensive line created no opportunities
- 2:29Speaker 1: whatsoever for Jaden Baugh to be able to break on
- 2:31Speaker 1: open like he did against Ole Miss, like he did
- 2:34Speaker 1: against Campbell, like he did against Florida Atlantic, and like
- 2:36Speaker 1: he did against Auburn. The rushing attack has been the
- 2:39Speaker 1: backbone of this team. A Florida team that entered today
- 2:43Speaker 1: as the number two scoring offense in the country and
- 2:45Speaker 1: number and top five in total yards. They had no answers.
- 2:49Speaker 1: And that starts in the trenches. Missouri's defensive line is
- 2:53Speaker 1: far and away, I think, at this point, the best
- 2:56Speaker 1: unit that Florida has been able to see this year.
- 2:59Speaker 1: They're dominant when it comes to winning their one-on-one battles.
- 3:01Speaker 1: They have finesse. They can get after quarterbacks. And they
- 3:04Speaker 1: can certainly get after weak offensive lines. Nicholas Rodriguez looked awesome.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Kensley Ludew-Foutson looked awesome. Robert Woodyard looked awesome. But then
- 3:12Speaker 1: you talk about the stack total in this game. Sterling Webb,
- 3:16Speaker 1: Jason Dowell, And I'm blanking on his name, but number
- 3:20Speaker 1: 10 is the other guy that I'm thinking of. All
- 3:22Speaker 1: were able just to go put waste on Aaron Filo.
- 3:25Speaker 1: But they also made Aaron Filo have to beat you.
- 3:28Speaker 1: You look at this game plan, everything that you saw
- 3:30Speaker 1: going in was making sure that we were able to
- 3:32Speaker 1: go ahead and trust off handing the ball to Jaden Ball.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Jaden Ball had been the backbone of this team. In
- 3:37Speaker 1: the month of September, he rushed for 11 touchdowns. He
- 3:40Speaker 1: was number two in rushing yards. He was the focal
- 3:42Speaker 1: point of this offense. No doubt about it. Well, so far,
- 3:46Speaker 1: as the game is now 45-10 with eight minutes left,
- 3:49Speaker 1: he's not even the leading rusher on the team. London Montgomery,
- 3:53Speaker 1: who had a one-yard run for 17, is the leading rusher.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Jaden Baugh is averaging 1.1 yards a play. So they
- 3:59Speaker 1: put the ball in the hands of Aaron Filo, and
- 4:00Speaker 1: they said, you're going to beat us. If we're going
- 4:03Speaker 1: to lose this football game, we will lose in the
- 4:05Speaker 1: fact of you beating us through the year. That's how
- 4:08Speaker 1: it's going to be done. He hasn't been able to
- 4:10Speaker 1: do that. There's been rapid rapport when it comes to
- 4:12Speaker 1: the inconsistency of the offensive line. He's had a maneuver
- 4:15Speaker 1: outside the pocket. He has been able to get his
- 4:17Speaker 1: footing structure in place. And it's led to a 21
- 4:20Speaker 1: for 32, a buck 97, and a one passing touchdown. Remember,
- 4:24Speaker 1: this game at one point was within reach. Do not
- 4:27Speaker 1: forget that there was a moment where actually Florida led
- 4:31Speaker 1: in this game. And then it was 3-3. And then
- 4:34Speaker 1: it was 10-10. And then right before halftime, it was
- 4:36Speaker 1: 20-10 with a big touchdown play to Chris Goody for
- 4:40Speaker 1: a 31-yard strike. More on that in a moment. There
- 4:43Speaker 1: was still time for Florida to come back in. And
- 4:45Speaker 1: I don't know what the conversation was in halftime. And
- 4:48Speaker 1: I don't know what was the game plan when you
- 4:49Speaker 1: decided to come on out for the third quarter. But instantaneously,
- 4:53Speaker 1: what did we see? Immediate execution and consistency from the
- 4:56Speaker 1: likes of Missouri. Quick six plays, 75 yards down the field,
- 5:01Speaker 1: they get a touchdown. Now it's 27-10. Then you give
- 5:04Speaker 1: up a punt. They get the field goal range. Big
- 5:07Speaker 1: Beavis or whatever his name is. I'm blanking on the
- 5:09Speaker 1: kicker's name. Blake Craig, my apologies, makes it a 20-point game.
- 5:13Speaker 1: You punt right after. They take it to the house
- 5:15Speaker 1: because you can't get a critical stop for a 77-yard
- 5:18Speaker 1: strike to Jamal Roberts, setting him up inside the red
- 5:21Speaker 1: zone right before the fourth quarter. You have too many
- 5:24Speaker 1: men on the field because of an illegal penalty shift
- 5:26Speaker 1: because you decided to switch out players too late. They
- 5:28Speaker 1: make it a four-score game. That's all she wrote. And then,
- 5:32Speaker 1: by the way, just for good measure, Missouri did not
- 5:35Speaker 1: take their foot off the gas. They said, here, Jamal Roberts,
- 5:38Speaker 1: continue to have yourself a day. Right now, as we
- 5:40Speaker 1: enter the last drive potentially for Florida, Jamal Roberts is
- 5:45Speaker 1: 211 rushing yards. Florida as a team, offensively, the number
- 5:49Speaker 1: one offense in this game has 224 yards. That's where
- 5:54Speaker 1: it is. It was disaster on arrival starting in the
- 5:57Speaker 1: third quarter. And at this point, you got to ask yourself,
- 6:00Speaker 1: what more can be done?
- 6:01Speaker 2: Hey, guys, I'll get right back to the video, but

- 6:32Speaker 2: All of the conference football addictions, college football addiction, and
- 6:35Speaker 2: of course the power to all right, back to the clip.
- 6:39Speaker 1: The big question that I had going into this game
- 6:41Speaker 1: for the future of Florida was actually not with Aaron
- 6:44Speaker 1: file and more on him later, but it was with
- 6:47Speaker 1: the defense and more specifically, it was with the secondary
- 6:50Speaker 1: last week. Even in a dominant win over Ole Miss,
- 6:54Speaker 1: you still allow Trinidad Chambers to be able to pick
- 6:56Speaker 1: you apart at times. He nearly had 300 passing yards.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Deuce Alexander had over 100. They were able to make
- 7:03Speaker 1: plays through the year. And Auburn at times made plays
- 7:05Speaker 1: through the year. Now partially that was due to the
- 7:06Speaker 1: penalties and really bad officiating. Neither here nor there. Ole
- 7:09Speaker 1: Miss is a better test. There was a moment that
- 7:11Speaker 1: I said in this game. I think that you could
- 7:13Speaker 1: come away impressed with Austin Simmons being able to dial
- 7:16Speaker 1: it on up against Florida's secondary. And if he allows
- 7:19Speaker 1: Florida's secondary to be able to play a little bit passive,
- 7:23Speaker 1: not consistent against these wide receivers, he may be able
- 7:26Speaker 1: to eat. And guess what? He ate. I mean, the
- 7:28Speaker 1: guy's going to finish the afternoon with over 300 passing yards.
- 7:32Speaker 1: On top of that, Caden Lee went off for I
- 7:34Speaker 1: think a buck, what was it? Buck 10? Donovan O
- 7:38Speaker 1: found his way into the end zone with 94 yards.
- 7:41Speaker 1: He had two plays of over 30 yards downfield. Nayshawn
- 7:43Speaker 1: Montgomery made two really big catches, former Florida Gator. Caleb Goody,
- 7:47Speaker 1: who did nothing going into this game, quiet as can be,
- 7:51Speaker 1: after the Arkansas Pine Bluff game. Big 31-yard strike. And
- 7:56Speaker 1: the consistency to see that they were able to move
- 7:58Speaker 1: in the middle of the intermediate part of the field
- 8:01Speaker 1: from the second and third level, it's concerning. And it's
- 8:04Speaker 1: a question mark that you have to have now if
- 8:06Speaker 1: you are a Florida Gators fan if it can be
- 8:08Speaker 1: fixed in 2026. And to be completely transparent, I don't
- 8:10Speaker 1: know if it can. This is a good offense. I
- 8:14Speaker 1: want to give credit where credit's due to what you
- 8:15Speaker 1: have seen so far from Chip Lindsay and company. They
- 8:17Speaker 1: are a team that has an identity and they have
- 8:20Speaker 1: ran with it. And guess what? They've even enhanced it
- 8:23Speaker 1: because of Jamal Roberts is the secondary running back and
- 8:26Speaker 1: he just torched you today with over 200 rushing yards.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Career day for him. Credit where credit's due to him.
- 8:32Speaker 1: But I don't know if this is going to be
- 8:33Speaker 1: the best offense that Florida sees the rest of the season.
- 8:36Speaker 1: I don't. It's going to be up there. They know
- 8:38Speaker 1: how to put up points. But you've already taken on
- 8:41Speaker 1: Ole Miss, and in two weeks, you have a game
- 8:44Speaker 1: against Texas. In two weeks, you are going down to Austin,
- 8:47Speaker 1: where that offense probably has not a lot of juice
- 8:50Speaker 1: on paper. But games aren't won on paper. They still
- 8:54Speaker 1: have a Cam Coleman. They still have Orion Wingo. They
- 8:57Speaker 1: still have Arch Manning. And they still have two damn
- 8:59Speaker 1: good running backs in Hollywood Smothers and Malik Brown. That
- 9:02Speaker 1: can get after you if you allow them to. Not
- 9:05Speaker 1: saying that they will, but they can. Next week you
- 9:07Speaker 1: go up against South Carolina. Who the hell knows what
- 9:09Speaker 1: that game is? You still have Georgia on the horizon.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Georgia after a bye week. You see what Georgia's been
- 9:15Speaker 1: doing to their opponents so far? They can get after you.
- 9:18Speaker 1: And by the way, Gunnar Stockton delivered tonight. The reason
- 9:23Speaker 1: why that game was even close down in Athens had
- 9:26Speaker 1: nothing to do with Georgia's offense. It had everything to
- 9:28Speaker 1: do with Georgia's defense, which may be good for you
- 9:30Speaker 1: in Atlanta, because if you would be able to run
- 9:33Speaker 1: the football efficiently with Jaden Baugh. But that was the
- 9:36Speaker 1: reason why that game had any life whatsoever. It wasn't
- 9:39Speaker 1: the fact of Gunnar Stockton, who was able to find
- 9:42Speaker 1: targets with ease and be able to pick up first
- 9:44Speaker 1: downs like it was candy in a corner store. That
- 9:48Speaker 1: was it. And you saw that today by the consistency
- 9:51Speaker 1: of of this Missouri offense. Bottom line, they were able
- 9:55Speaker 1: to rush for seven yards a clip. They were better
- 9:58Speaker 1: on third down. They had a better passing attack and
- 10:01Speaker 1: they forced you to go ahead and play with one
- 10:03Speaker 1: arm time behind your back because if you were without
- 10:05Speaker 1: your best weapon which is Jaden Baugh Jaden Baugh wasn't
- 10:08Speaker 1: injured or anything like that if you would have told
- 10:10Speaker 1: me at the start of the game Jaden Baugh is
- 10:11Speaker 1: going to finish with 13 carries my first inclination would
- 10:14Speaker 1: have been hmm what quarter did he I mean where
- 10:17Speaker 1: did he go out on the first drive The second
- 10:20Speaker 1: run or the third run? Because 13 yards means he
- 10:22Speaker 1: got injured in this game. He didn't play the entire
- 10:24Speaker 1: second half. But he didn't play past the opening series. Oh, no, no, no, no. Wesley,
- 10:29Speaker 1: I mean, Woodyard and Rodriguez and the linebacking core and
- 10:32Speaker 1: the run game shut them down and made them an
- 10:36Speaker 1: obsolete offense. And they said, if Aaron Filo can beat
- 10:39Speaker 1: us through the air, we'll go ahead and we'll bend
- 10:41Speaker 1: the knee. They didn't have to bend the knee because
- 10:44Speaker 1: he couldn't beat them through the air. Now you look
- 10:46Speaker 1: at Florida moving forward and you ask yourself, with the penalties,
- 10:49Speaker 1: with the offensive line of how it played, which by
- 10:51Speaker 1: the way, penalties in this game, again, the simple negative
- 10:55Speaker 1: plays that cost you eight penalties for 80 yards. You
- 10:58Speaker 1: lose a penalty battle, you lose a turnover battle, you
- 11:00Speaker 1: lose everything else with that, you're not winning many football games.
- 11:03Speaker 1: The good news is you didn't lose the turnover battle,
- 11:05Speaker 1: but you pretty much lost with everything else. and get
- 11:07Speaker 1: a lot of the explosives to kill you. Secondary's got
- 11:10Speaker 1: your question marks. The offensive line's got his question marks.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Quarterback play, when he's got to be able to win,
- 11:13Speaker 1: has his question marks. Wide receivers fighting breakaway opens. This
- 11:17Speaker 1: is a moment of where with no Vernal Brown, you
- 11:19Speaker 1: figured maybe Dallas Wilson could have his opportunity to make
- 11:22Speaker 1: big plays. And Chris Graves Jr. had him in check
- 11:25Speaker 1: for most of the afternoon. He did. And so now
- 11:29Speaker 1: you got to look at Florida and have realistic conversations.
- 11:32Speaker 1: This team was ahead of schedule going into week five.
- 11:35Speaker 1: This team felt like it was different, but we always
- 11:39Speaker 1: knew we should have waited for the other shoe to drop.
- 11:42Speaker 1: What is the realistic outlook for Florida moving forward? 10-2
- 11:46Speaker 1: is not off the table. If you go into Austin
- 11:49Speaker 1: and you have a good game plan and Aaron Fila
- 11:51Speaker 1: is able to play inside of structure and you're able
- 11:54Speaker 1: to run all over Texas' defense, then by all means,
- 11:57Speaker 1: 10-2 is still on the table and you can go
- 11:59Speaker 1: to the college football playoff and definitely still have your
- 12:01Speaker 1: shot of keeping a national title hoped alive and well.
- 12:05Speaker 1: But let's be honest for a second. Missouri's defense is good.
- 12:09Speaker 1: It looked great today. Texas' defense is better. It's a fraction.
- 12:15Speaker 1: A fraction of the players that you saw on the
- 12:17Speaker 1: field today would start at Texas. And you face off
- 12:20Speaker 1: against them in two weeks. What about when you face
- 12:22Speaker 1: off against Georgia? Georgia's defense did not look great today.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Doesn't mean it's not. Doesn't mean they can't fix the
- 12:29Speaker 1: problem for a rivalry game where you have a bye
- 12:31Speaker 1: mixed in between. Doesn't mean that that doesn't become a
- 12:34Speaker 1: factor with it, does it? I'm just saying. The question
- 12:38Speaker 1: marks that you have with Florida right now may not
- 12:41Speaker 1: be solved. The offensive line has got to be able
- 12:45Speaker 1: to bully up front. You couldn't do that today. You
- 12:48Speaker 1: couldn't do that in run blocking. You couldn't do that
- 12:50Speaker 1: in pass protection. You couldn't do that in any vicinity whatsoever.
- 12:55Speaker 1: So now, can you figure this out in a seven-week period...
- 13:00Speaker 1: When you face off against South Carolina and carry that
- 13:03Speaker 1: momentum going into the game against Texas. Going into the
- 13:06Speaker 1: bye week, going into the Georgia game. I don't know.
- 13:09Speaker 1: I think it's very clear that Jaden Baugh is your offense.
- 13:13Speaker 1: And that's not a negative to say that Aaron Filo
- 13:14Speaker 1: can't figure things on out. But I don't think Aaron
- 13:16Speaker 1: Filo right now can win you football games. He didn't
- 13:19Speaker 1: look like it tonight. He was erratic. And partially that
- 13:22Speaker 1: was on him. Partially that was on his situation. Wide
- 13:25Speaker 1: receivers not getting off of breaks. Offensive linemen not winning
- 13:28Speaker 1: one-on-one battles. the inability to win on third down, him
- 13:32Speaker 1: holding the football too long, taking a sack when it
- 13:34Speaker 1: was ill-advised, trying to go ahead and make something out
- 13:37Speaker 1: of nothing when clearly if you just throw the football
- 13:39Speaker 1: out of bounds, it probably looks a lot better. These
- 13:42Speaker 1: are all things that can be corrected. I just don't
- 13:43Speaker 1: know if it's possible within a season to fix this.
- 13:47Speaker 1: The faults that were on display that we kind of
- 13:49Speaker 1: ignored because of what the score said and how it
- 13:52Speaker 1: hadn't hurt Florida yet reared its ugly head in Como
- 13:57Speaker 1: today for a homecoming that no Missouri Tiger fan is
- 13:59Speaker 1: going to forget. And I sure as hell know they're
- 14:01Speaker 1: going to go flood every comment section of anybody that
- 14:03Speaker 1: doubted them this week because they have earned the right
- 14:06Speaker 1: to brag. They've earned every right at this point. Is
- 14:11Speaker 1: that because Florida shot itself in the foot? Or is
- 14:14Speaker 1: that because Mizzou is a good football team? Or is
- 14:16Speaker 1: it somewhere in the middle of maybe Florida isn't as
- 14:18Speaker 1: good as advertised and maybe Mizzou isn't as terrible as
- 14:21Speaker 1: people want to make them out to be? Maybe that's
- 14:23Speaker 1: just it. But you got to be able to win
- 14:26Speaker 1: when it comes to the trenches on both sides of football.
- 14:28Speaker 1: The inability to get pressure on Austin Simmons allowed him
- 14:31Speaker 1: to build a rapport and consistency downfield. The inability to
- 14:34Speaker 1: guard a guy like Caden Lee or Adonovan O led
- 14:37Speaker 1: to the explosive plays. The inability to finish tackles behind
- 14:40Speaker 1: the line of scrimmage led to explosive runs for Jamal Roberts,
- 14:45Speaker 1: where he was the best running back in a game
- 14:47Speaker 1: with a guy that's built like a Heisman Trophy contender.
- 14:51Speaker 1: That's where you are. You've got a week to go
- 14:54Speaker 1: ahead and hopefully have this feeling sitting in your stomach
- 14:57Speaker 1: before you have to go face-off against South Carolina. And
- 15:00Speaker 1: who knows what the morale of that team is going
- 15:01Speaker 1: to be. Maybe they're gung-ho saying that this is the
- 15:04Speaker 1: last hurrah for Shane Beamer, or maybe they've already fired
- 15:07Speaker 1: Shane Beamer and they're done. Who knows? But the problems
- 15:11Speaker 1: that you saw today with the trench plane, with the
- 15:13Speaker 1: inconsistencies in coverage downfield, with the inability to close on
- 15:18Speaker 1: pass rushes, and the inconsistencies of running the football, it's
- 15:23Speaker 1: something that is going to be alarming moving forward for Florida.
- 15:27Speaker 1: If you ask me today how do I think Florida's
- 15:28Speaker 1: season goes, I'd probably say that they're 8-4. I think
- 15:31Speaker 1: that they probably lose their next two big games to Texas,
- 15:34Speaker 1: to Georgia. Maybe they find a way to get a
- 15:37Speaker 1: win over Kentucky, but then they find a way to
- 15:39Speaker 1: mess things on up later on when they face off
- 15:41Speaker 1: against Oklahoma. Who knows what happens when they play Vanderbilt.
- 15:45Speaker 1: They drop another game. 9-3 is not off the table,
- 15:48Speaker 1: but I gotta see more from everyone that isn't Jaden
- 15:51Speaker 1: Baugh to believe that's possible. I do. It was not
- 15:55Speaker 1: a good day to be a Florida Gators fan. Because
- 15:57Speaker 1: you walked in feeling so high and mighty about where
- 16:00Speaker 1: you could go moving into 2026. Playoff is alive and well.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Conference championship is alive and well. All the things that
- 16:09Speaker 1: you want to know about this Florida Gators team was there.
- 16:13Speaker 1: But maybe, just maybe, we have no idea who is
- 16:15Speaker 1: actually good and who isn't in the world of college football.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Maybe Florida's a little bit too overhyped. Or maybe... Missouri
- 16:22Speaker 1: is better than expected. Regardless, the performance that we saw
- 16:25Speaker 1: today on the field from Florida, that's not going to
- 16:27Speaker 1: hold up in Austin. It's not going to hold up
- 16:28Speaker 1: in Atlanta. And it's probably going to cost them another
- 16:30Speaker 1: win somewhere down the line. They got to be able
- 16:32Speaker 1: to fix this. And it starts with John Summerall looking
- 16:34Speaker 1: at the faults of this team and be able to say,
- 16:36Speaker 1: this isn't working, here's what we have to change. Because
- 16:39Speaker 1: right now, Jaden Ball was destined to have one bad game.
- 16:41Speaker 1: I did not think it would come against Missouri after
- 16:43Speaker 1: a phenomenal performance last week against Ole Miss. Like the video,
- 16:47Speaker 1: hit the ring notification, and comment below, how would you
- 16:49Speaker 1: fix Florida football moving forward? Because what we saw today
- 16:52Speaker 1: is leading to a season to forget. Make sure that

- 17:07Speaker 1: game out in Como. But until next time, make sure

- 17:25Speaker 1: I'm Cole Thompson. I'm going to go try and rewatch
- 17:27Speaker 1: what the hell happened in the second quarter, I mean
- 17:29Speaker 1: the third quarter, to lead to this big explosive play,
- 17:32Speaker 1: and hopefully figure out more about what is Florida moving forward.
- 17:35Speaker 1: But it didn't look pretty, I can tell you what.
- 17:37Speaker 1: It ain't going to be pretty anytime soon. Talk to
- 17:39Speaker 1: you next time. Peace.
