Chandler police arrested 35-year-old Robert Casillas for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl at an apartment complex pool on July 1st—his confession came after detectives played him a damning recorded phone call. The victim, sunbathing on a float, says Casillas offered to apply sunscreen before dragging her into deeper water and assaulting her. Casillas, a repeat offender with past arrests for smuggling, drugs, weapons, and vandalism, initially denied the crime but admitted guilt after hearing the audio.
