- 1:05Speaker 1: my very good friends and one of your favorite Juicy
- 1:07Speaker 1: Scoopers as well as her own great podcast. It's Kate
- 1:11Speaker 1: Casey from Reality Life with Kate Casey. She is a writer.
- 1:15Speaker 1: She's a mother of five. She is a blonde blue-eyed delight. Welcome.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Thank you. So fun to always have you on the show.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Let's get into it. But first... As the kids say,
- 1:29Speaker 1: I'm here to give you your flowers. Because our girl
- 1:33Speaker 1: is a published writer in Vanity Fair. This is so amazing.
- 1:40Speaker 1: You had told me that you were working on this
- 1:43Speaker 1: and then to see that it was chosen and published.
- 1:48Speaker 1: And it was something that we talked about on Juicy
- 1:51Speaker 1: Crimes every Wednesday. Please subscribe. Tell a friend. You can
- 1:53Speaker 1: watch it on YouTube as well. was the story of
- 1:57Speaker 1: Martha Moxley, who was a teenage girl who was found
- 2:02Speaker 1: bludgeoned to death. Bludgeoned to death, yeah. How many years ago?
- 2:05Speaker 1: 50 years ago?
- 2:06Speaker 2: 45?
- 2:06Speaker 4: A little over 50. She was killed on October 30th, 1975.
- 2:10Speaker 1: And there was a Kennedy family tie to the two
- 2:14Speaker 1: brothers that were involved. And you just really got involved
- 2:19Speaker 1: in it, and you love to do... deep dive kind
- 2:22Speaker 1: of psychological stuff, which is what we talk a lot about.
- 2:26Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:27Speaker 1: So, you know, society versus and psychology of what makes
- 2:30Speaker 1: someone do something. And being that this was so long
- 2:33Speaker 1: ago is a really interesting angle that you took. We
- 2:36Speaker 1: want everyone to go read it, of course, but can
- 2:38Speaker 1: you just tell us a little bit about the kind
- 2:40Speaker 1: of unique take of this story that has been told
- 2:44Speaker 1: many times, but been on datelines and things.
- 2:48Speaker 4: Well, In reflection, because I did two episodes about it,
- 2:52Speaker 4: I thought a lot about how the prosecutors, the defenders,
- 2:55Speaker 4: the judge, a lot of the reporters, most of the reporters,
- 2:58Speaker 4: almost all of the reporters that covered it were all men.
- 3:01Speaker 4: And I wanted to revisit her diary entries to make
- 3:05Speaker 4: sense of how she was feeling in the weeks before
- 3:08Speaker 4: she was murdered. And as I began going through the
- 3:11Speaker 4: diary entries, which were used as evidence of the trial,
- 3:14Speaker 4: it made me realize how much Martha is just like
- 3:17Speaker 4: every 15-year-old. It was the same for my mom in 1963,
- 3:20Speaker 4: the same for me. It's also the same for my
- 3:22Speaker 4: daughters now about how girls are often trying to manage
- 3:28Speaker 4: the emotional labor of men around them who were expected
- 3:34Speaker 4: to sort of navigate their emotions over our own. So
- 3:40Speaker 4: in her case, the evening that she gets murdered, she
- 3:43Speaker 4: goes to a neighbor's house, the Skakel house. And in
- 3:46Speaker 4: the weeks before She's murdered. You see in the diary
- 3:49Speaker 4: entries that there are two brothers of the seven siblings
- 3:52Speaker 4: who have some sort of interest in her.
- 3:55Speaker 1: And they're cousins. These boys are cousins. Of the Kennedys.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Of the Kennedys. First cousins.
- 4:00Speaker 4: So their mother, excuse me, their father was the sibling
- 4:05Speaker 4: of Ethel Skakel Kennedy, who was Robert Kennedy's sister or wife. Hello.
- 4:10Speaker 1: So anyway, they live across the street.
- 4:15Speaker 4: And in the weeks before she gets killed, she's writing
- 4:19Speaker 4: about how they're both vying for her attention. And the one,
- 4:24Speaker 4: the younger brother, is basically saying to her, well, you
- 4:28Speaker 4: like my brother. And she says, no, I don't. And
- 4:30Speaker 4: then he's getting angry with her. And at one point
- 4:33Speaker 4: she writes, I shouldn't go over to the house anymore.
- 4:35Speaker 4: And I realized that in the trial and all of
- 4:38Speaker 4: the other reporters that have covered it, they say, well,
- 4:41Speaker 4: she kept going back to the house. but I sort
- 4:43Speaker 4: of thought that was a metaphor for what girls experience
- 4:47Speaker 4: in terms of social life and men is that, or boys,
- 4:52Speaker 4: is that if she didn't go back to the house,
- 4:54Speaker 4: that was the center of all social activity in her neighborhood.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Right. Back then people didn't have, you know, weren't watching
- 5:01Speaker 1: TV all day and computers. So you really were out
- 5:06Speaker 1: all day long, come back, you know, I'm not concerned.
- 5:09Speaker 1: We all joke about our generations being able to like
- 5:12Speaker 1: ride bikes and our parents didn't know we were where
- 5:14Speaker 1: we were and all that. So of course you weren't
- 5:16Speaker 1: going to even not, you know, hang out with these
- 5:19Speaker 1: people that were across the street.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Yeah. So she does.
- 5:22Speaker 4: Go back and then she ultimately has to go home
- 5:25Speaker 4: to make curfew. And in between the time that she's
- 5:29Speaker 4: at their house to going back to her house, she
- 5:32Speaker 4: gets bludgeoned to death with a golf club in her backyard.
- 5:36Speaker 4: That golf club was traced back to the neighbor's house.
- 5:39Speaker 1: The Skakel's. Skakel House.
- 5:41Speaker 4: So the article revisits the diary entries, but I think
- 5:45Speaker 4: for every girl that's reading it, they're going to see
- 5:47Speaker 4: themselves in it. And I would hope that in time,
- 5:51Speaker 4: people have a better understanding of the way, how unfair
- 5:54Speaker 4: it is, how girls are often seen as like they're
- 5:59Speaker 4: playing men with their children. I mean- That was the
- 6:02Speaker 4: thing about Martha that people would say, oh, well, she
- 6:04Speaker 4: got her braces off and she was kind of feeling herself.
- 6:06Speaker 1: She's a child. You know what's so interesting, you know, too,
- 6:10Speaker 1: is when I, in doing Juicy Crimes and in visiting
- 6:13Speaker 1: like older crimes, classic crimes, or even ones that I've
- 6:16Speaker 1: worked on, there has been certain things that I was like,
- 6:20Speaker 1: wait a minute. If there was, if the defense had
- 6:24Speaker 1: women on it, they'd realize that as a mother of,
- 6:27Speaker 1: you know, even if you think the person did it,
- 6:30Speaker 1: one that I always talk about is, That this woman
- 6:33Speaker 1: was accused and convicted of planning her husband's murder where
- 6:39Speaker 1: her boyfriend went and killed him.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:42Speaker 1: And it happened the night before the first day of
- 6:46Speaker 1: school for her elementary aged kids. And I'm like, I
- 6:50Speaker 1: just don't think you'd plan it for that day. No,
- 6:53Speaker 1: too stressful. Did she maybe realize later he was involved? Possibly.
- 6:58Speaker 1: But did she plan that? Like, that's what I, and
- 7:00Speaker 1: you know, again, I just don't, Sometimes you just need
- 7:06Speaker 1: a woman to like look at that point of view
- 7:09Speaker 1: that even the greatest, you know, prosecutor or defense attorney
- 7:14Speaker 1: that's a male can do a great job. But I mean,
- 7:18Speaker 1: it's great to just like our writer's room wants different perspectives,
- 7:22Speaker 1: you know. when I was writing on a late night
- 7:25Speaker 1: talk show for Kenan Bruins, he wanted a female, a
- 7:28Speaker 1: white female's point of view because it's like, well, we've
- 7:30Speaker 1: got this point of view of the guys. But what
- 7:32Speaker 1: would a woman think of this particular joke? Like, where
- 7:35Speaker 1: would they come from it? So, so great that you
- 7:38Speaker 1: did that. Thank you. So congratulations. Speaking of incredible writers,
- 7:43Speaker 1: we have to read. Yeah, I need to hear it.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Tell me everything. Tell me everything.
- 7:47Speaker 2: Okay.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Unburdened, baby. This meant so much to me. Are there
- 7:52Speaker 1: pictures in it? There are. Okay. There are pictures. We
- 7:55Speaker 1: get into everything. You know, I was a child of
- 7:59Speaker 1: the world. I traveled. I spoke many languages, which I
- 8:05Speaker 1: will say, very impressive. Yeah. I think she is very bright.
- 8:08Speaker 1: I do think she has a good vocabulary. Yes, she
- 8:11Speaker 1: had a ghostwriter, but I think a lot of this
- 8:13Speaker 1: is herself. I don't know if the ghostwriter just helped
- 8:16Speaker 1: her place it together. But as someone who searches for
- 8:20Speaker 1: Juicy Scoop, as my life's work, there is no juice,
- 8:26Speaker 1: in my opinion. Very little juice. If you want to
- 8:29Speaker 1: know some of the things about her life that you
- 8:31Speaker 1: wouldn't have otherwise known, like the background, how did she
- 8:34Speaker 1: end up in Europe? She was engaged twice and broke
- 8:37Speaker 1: them off. She speaks very highly of PK. A lot
- 8:43Speaker 1: of it of how genius he is, what an entrepreneur
- 8:46Speaker 1: he is. One thing that's interesting that I do think
- 8:50Speaker 1: as I read it, I was like, I still don't
- 8:52Speaker 1: think this is new news, is that he got he
- 8:56Speaker 1: got to the moves. They were living in New York
- 8:59Speaker 1: and he's like, come on, baby, let's go to Los Angeles.
- 9:02Speaker 1: And she's like, you'll never get me out of this city.
- 9:04Speaker 1: And they end up in Beverly Hills. And right around
- 9:07Speaker 1: that time, he meets Boy George and is like, you
- 9:10Speaker 1: don't need a music manager. You just— you' re a brand. And
- 9:14Speaker 1: so then he's like, come live with us so that
- 9:16Speaker 1: I can get to know you better and everything. And
- 9:21Speaker 1: sorry to bring this up, but he had a— Boy George
- 9:24Speaker 1: has a pretty traumatic past. I've interviewed him. I mean,
- 9:29Speaker 1: doing— I mean, he was basically accused of having a
- 9:32Speaker 1: man and like trapping him in a house and abusing him.
- 9:35Speaker 4: Which he went to prison for and he would talk
- 9:36Speaker 4: about it. He does talk about it. So, okay, you know.
- 9:40Speaker 4: But anyway, that's fine.
- 9:42Speaker 1: He's forgiven in court of law in England and I
- 9:45Speaker 1: guess here in Beverly Hills. So anyway, he comes, lives
- 9:48Speaker 1: with them in the house. And then PK, who has
- 9:51Speaker 1: said in his interviews, and she says it too, he
- 9:54Speaker 1: talked to someone who said the only way to make
- 9:56Speaker 1: it in L.A. is through power, money or fame. Right.
- 9:59Speaker 1: And the money was always coming and going. There was always,
- 10:02Speaker 1: you know. And millions here and millions there and bankruptcy. And,
- 10:07Speaker 1: you know, again, I don't understand how someone that juggles
- 10:11Speaker 1: bankruptcy and all that then will still fly private and blow,
- 10:16Speaker 1: you know, $ 70, 000 on a private flight and things like that.
- 10:18Speaker 4: But OK.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Or maybe he just knows wealthy people, so he hitches
- 10:25Speaker 1: a ride. Well, at their wedding, they all flew private
- 10:29Speaker 1: back to L.A. and then said, let's drop off Jagger,
- 10:33Speaker 1: and we went to Las Vegas for a few days.
- 10:36Speaker 1: And they decided last minute, like you went up to
- 10:38Speaker 1: the cockpit and was like, change of plans. Good Lord, wow.
- 10:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:44Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 10:44Speaker 1: And I'm like, I think she was very much sucked
- 10:47Speaker 1: into this very wealthy world and didn't want to know
- 10:50Speaker 1: where the money was coming and if there was enough.
- 10:53Speaker 4: Interesting, because I think a lot of people do the same.
- 10:56Speaker 4: It's like Ruth Madoff was probably like, who gives a shit?
- 10:59Speaker 4: We're going to have like lobster and go to on
- 11:02Speaker 4: the Concord.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:04Speaker 1: And everybody else's husband goes to an office every day
- 11:06Speaker 1: and doesn't ask him what he's doing. So why should I? Totally.
- 11:09Speaker 1: So they did a little pilot. of like, you know,
- 11:13Speaker 1: and you could see it almost sounds like them. It
- 11:15Speaker 1: almost sounds like a bad 90s sitcom. I'm like, what
- 11:19Speaker 1: do you do when boy George moves in with an
- 11:22Speaker 1: English guy and two babies and, you know, or she
- 11:25Speaker 1: just had a baby or was pregnant. So boy George was,
- 11:28Speaker 1: I didn't know this. He was part of the pilot.
- 11:29Speaker 1: He was definitely part of it. She was like, she
- 11:33Speaker 1: was the secondary, like, she was like, I just did
- 11:35Speaker 1: this because PK asked me to do it. I didn't
- 11:38Speaker 1: want to be in the limelight. I just thought, OK,
- 11:40Speaker 1: it'll be the PK and Boy George show. And I'm like,
- 11:43Speaker 1: you know, walking around with the babies, whatever. I think Boy.
- 11:47Speaker 4: George would have been a sell for me. I would
- 11:49Speaker 4: have watched that show.
- 11:50Speaker 1: So anyway, somebody in pitching it around and, you know,
- 11:55Speaker 1: very similarly, Margaret Joseph's had a couple of pilot opportunities,
- 12:01Speaker 1: you know, that took her to Malibu and it was
- 12:03Speaker 1: about her business and whatever. And we know that like-
- 12:06Speaker 1: Did this happen at Bose too? Did she have this too?
- 12:09Speaker 1: I feel like- Maybe she did. I mean, the thing
- 12:11Speaker 1: is it's casting. A lot of people are on the
- 12:12Speaker 1: same thing. So they might've seen your reel or- Do
- 12:15Speaker 1: you know how many housewives were on Say Yes to
- 12:17Speaker 1: the Dress? Too many to count. Unbelievable. So whoever that
- 12:21Speaker 1: person is, you know, was like, this is a freak.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Let me call over Bravo. Like, this chick has a
- 12:27Speaker 1: weird family. I mean, it's a perfect time to see
- 12:29Speaker 1: the family and everything. To see the dynamic, see how
- 12:32Speaker 1: wealthy you are, all of it.
- 12:34Speaker 4: They need to get a little extra cash to say
- 12:36Speaker 4: yes to the dress team.
- 12:37Speaker 1: So, yeah. Yeah, Dina Manzo was on it. Megan King
- 12:42Speaker 1: Edmonds was on it.
- 12:43Speaker 4: Because if you get the wife swap aspect of it,
- 12:45Speaker 4: you kind of know what their family dynamics are, but
- 12:48Speaker 4: you know that they have enough money to buy either
- 12:50Speaker 4: a panina tournée dress.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Or something else. The wife swap. You mean the say
- 12:55Speaker 1: yes to the dress?
- 12:55Speaker 4: Say yes to the dress. You are getting insight like
- 12:57Speaker 4: how much money. You want the rich people.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:00Speaker 1: And she says everything. I'm marrying this person. I'm his
- 13:03Speaker 1: third wife. But we're excited. You get the whole scoop
- 13:06Speaker 1: in one second.
- 13:06Speaker 4: By the way, for the good people listening who have
- 13:08Speaker 4: watched a lot of episodes of Say Yes to the Dress,
- 13:11Speaker 4: it's a shoo-in if they wear a panina tournée. Because
- 13:13Speaker 4: that was the dress designer that was always like the
- 13:16Speaker 4: bride that would go, I kind of want to look
- 13:17Speaker 4: like slutty.
- 13:19Speaker 1: And it would be like boning with like.
- 13:22Speaker 4: just sort of lace, but like see-through.
- 13:24Speaker 1: See-through. Yeah.
- 13:27Speaker 4: So whenever there was a bride that was like, I
- 13:28Speaker 4: want some panina tournée, I was like, oh, she's like
- 13:30Speaker 4: ready to get down.
- 13:31Speaker 1: I feel like that's a look that's kind of maybe
- 13:33Speaker 1: sailed or whatever. Thank God. So anyway, someone sees it
- 13:39Speaker 1: and is like, perfect. Totally. And so then they reach
- 13:43Speaker 1: out and then she goes to it. She didn't think
- 13:47Speaker 1: she'd get it. She got it. And so then she,
- 13:50Speaker 1: you know, That's, I mean, she talks about the, you know,
- 13:55Speaker 1: how scary it was, the robbery and everything. And talks
- 14:00Speaker 1: about Pantygate.
- 14:01Speaker 5: Okay.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Talks about Puppygate. I mean, in retrospect, Pantygate is so stupid.
- 14:07Speaker 1: But none of it is anything that she didn't already
- 14:09Speaker 1: say on the show.
- 14:10Speaker 3: Okay.
- 14:11Speaker 1: It was never like, you know, in retrospect, I was
- 14:13Speaker 1: actually trying to be a bitch. Like, just something.
- 14:16Speaker 2: Nothing. Oh, wow.
- 14:17Speaker 1: It was always like.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:19Speaker 4: So like somebody did this to me and this is
- 14:21Speaker 4: where we are.
- 14:22Speaker 1: No, it's just a lot. It's very long winded. Yes.
- 14:26Speaker 1: And whenever they like fall asleep or any like and
- 14:29Speaker 1: then act all tired about it, I'd be like, what?
- 14:31Speaker 1: Because we're watching the edited version. We did not have
- 14:34Speaker 1: to suffer. Yeah. Through the entire four hour lunch.
- 14:38Speaker 4: I feel like if you had been on that reunion couch,
- 14:41Speaker 4: you would have just gotten up and gone, oh, for
- 14:43Speaker 4: God's sake, I can't listen to this anymore.
- 14:45Speaker 1: I mean, I just think people, I just always thought
- 14:47Speaker 1: they were being so impatient when the book reads like that.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Like when she goes to meet PK, I'm like, okay,
- 14:53Speaker 1: this is going to get exciting. You know, the basic
- 14:56Speaker 1: love of your life. How'd you guys meet? Well, they
- 14:59Speaker 1: met at a restaurant bar club thing. She and her
- 15:03Speaker 1: girlfriend were waiting to get, were at the bar sitting there. And,
- 15:07Speaker 1: you know, these guys came behind and was like, hey,
- 15:08Speaker 1: we'll buy you a drink if you can get us one.
- 15:10Speaker 5: Okay.
- 15:12Speaker 1: And one was PK. That's the story. This is how
- 15:15Speaker 1: the story gets told. Oh, Jesus. All right. Here we go.
- 15:18Speaker 1: I was meeting a businessman for a meeting who I'd
- 15:21Speaker 1: done many things with in the fashion industry. And we
- 15:24Speaker 1: were going to a beautiful restaurant. I'm just making up names.
- 15:28Speaker 1: Le Blah Blah. And Le Blah Blah has rich woods
- 15:32Speaker 1: and is known for their steak or something. Right. Then
- 15:36Speaker 1: he said, my cousin is in town. Do you mind
- 15:39Speaker 1: if he joins us? So I'm like, oh, that's how
- 15:42Speaker 1: she met PK. PK's the cousin. Then it's like, oh.
- 15:45Speaker 1: And then I said, um. We'll all bring my girlfriend.
- 15:50Speaker 1: And afterwards, we had a great meeting. A lot was had.
- 15:53Speaker 1: A lot was said. And then I said, now that
- 15:55Speaker 1: the meeting is done, why don't you, my girlfriend, and
- 15:57Speaker 1: I go to this other club? And it was still
- 15:59Speaker 1: early enough to get it. Anyway, that's when she finally
- 16:01Speaker 1: meets him. So I'm just like, there's just things like that. Right, right, right.
- 16:04Speaker 1: That I feel like there was a little bit of
- 16:07Speaker 1: like when you had to write an essay and the
- 16:10Speaker 1: computer said, you got to get another you know.
- 16:13Speaker 4: Oh right right right right yeah like a word count
- 16:16Speaker 4: gotta get the word count.
- 16:17Speaker 1: Up a little bit well it does when you know
- 16:20Speaker 1: somebody and you know their whole life and you watch
- 16:22Speaker 1: them for 10 years it's still a fun read like.
- 16:25Speaker 4: It's how many how many pages it's still okay um
- 16:30Speaker 4: lots of pictures uh you.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Know like 20 like 10 pages of pictures um 233
- 16:38Speaker 1: and you know a lot of it is just like
- 16:41Speaker 1: That question isn't an accusation. It's clarity. When you're walking
- 16:46Speaker 1: through divorce, you don't have the luxury of tolerating uncertainty
- 16:49Speaker 1: in your inner circle. It's constantly like her explaining and
- 16:56Speaker 1: reiterating what it's like to be having conversations on camera
- 17:02Speaker 1: and then reliving it and then trying to explain where
- 17:05Speaker 1: you're coming from and feeling betrayed by the friendships and
- 17:09Speaker 1: wondering if they're doing it to save their own job.
- 17:14Speaker 1: She kind of insinuated with the... Okay, so what does
- 17:16Speaker 1: she say about Kyle? I mean, just that.
- 17:19Speaker 4: Or does she say, like, one housewife plays the game
- 17:22Speaker 4: better than the rest?
- 17:24Speaker 1: Not really. Like.
- 17:26Speaker 5: Your home changes over time. The kitchen gets louder, the
- 17:30Speaker 5: mornings get busier, and suddenly you're wondering, is it time
- 17:33Speaker 5: for more space? A better layout? Somewhere close to great
- 17:37Speaker 5: schools or near the sea? On daft.ie, you'll find stunning
- 17:40Speaker 5: family homes for sale across South Dublin. From Blackrock to Foxrock,
- 17:45Speaker 5: Dundrum to Dockie. So when you're ready for the next chapter,
- 17:48Speaker 5: start with Ireland's number one property platform, daft.ie.
- 17:53Speaker 2: I'm Darman, and this is What Happens Next. Each week
- 17:56Speaker 2: on the show, I sit down with extraordinary people who
- 17:59Speaker 2: have faced tremendous setbacks, and yet somehow have found a
- 18:04Speaker 2: way to turn them into their greatest strengths.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Life is one long lesson of chaos. I'm heading to
- 18:10Speaker 1: the Emmys, and I have police complaints filed against me.
- 18:13Speaker 5: When your free will was about to be taken from you,
- 18:15Speaker 5: what would you do if it was given back?
- 18:17Speaker 3: Where did that need come from, where you thought that
- 18:20Speaker 3: you had to succeed in order to feel loved? He said,
- 18:23Speaker 3: I have a work dad.
- 18:24Speaker 2: I need a home dad.
- 18:25Speaker 3: What happens next?
- 18:26Speaker 1: When I came in, he started crying.
- 18:28Speaker 3: Everybody in life encounters hardships. What defines them is not
- 18:32Speaker 3: those hard moments that they go through. It's about what
- 18:35Speaker 3: happens next.
- 18:36Speaker 1: I decided to risk it all. I realized how valuable
- 18:39Speaker 1: every day was. You're worth the work. Listen, Dara, I'm
- 18:41Speaker 1: not going to pull punches. You can use your voice
- 18:44Speaker 1: even if it's shaped.
- 18:45Speaker 2: The stories are different, but the impact is the same.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Only one question matters. What happens next?
- 18:59Speaker 1: So then Amanda, who she did– that she didn't click with, really. Right.
- 19:06Speaker 1: But Amanda was on Vile Files and, you know, was
- 19:10Speaker 1: there with her husband. And we still don't know who's
- 19:13Speaker 1: coming back. And– oh, but I will say before I forget,
- 19:17Speaker 1: Andy had Dorit on and somebody– you know, he opens
- 19:21Speaker 1: up the cards where who knows if anybody– you know,
- 19:24Speaker 1: Melissa from Brown Nose, Nebraska really wrote this. And he's like,
- 19:28Speaker 1: Melissa from Brown Nose, Nebraska asked, are you and Kyle
- 19:31Speaker 1: going to be able to mend your friendship? And then he,
- 19:34Speaker 1: before she can answer, he goes, I think you should
- 19:36Speaker 1: just leave it. Oh yeah.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Wow.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Okay. And I was like, we all know if you're
- 19:42Speaker 1: going to stay on the show, you better stay friends. Right.
- 19:46Speaker 1: As much as you want to say, I never want
- 19:48Speaker 1: to talk to that bitch again. And if you weren't
- 19:49Speaker 1: on TV, guess what? You wouldn't. And you wouldn't see
- 19:52Speaker 1: them in your neighborhood. And maybe you'd see them at
- 19:55Speaker 1: a funeral or a wedding, but you'd avoid that bitch. Okay?
- 19:58Speaker 1: You wouldn't go... But he said that. And she's like, no,
- 20:02Speaker 1: I think there's, you know, a long history. We've been
- 20:05Speaker 1: friends for 10 years. I would be hoping that we
- 20:08Speaker 1: could get to a better place. Oh, my God. Just
- 20:10Speaker 1: explaining this to me, my head hurts. And I'm like, yeah.
- 20:15Speaker 1: I mean, she really cannot lose this job. The house
- 20:19Speaker 1: is going up if it hasn't already. No, but she
- 20:21Speaker 1: has said, even if she lost the job, she makes
- 20:25Speaker 1: enough money. She has said that. Okay, but. I'm not
- 20:28Speaker 1: saying she lives on planet Earth. I'm just saying that's
- 20:30Speaker 1: what she says. She doesn't. She's not a plastic surgeon.
- 20:33Speaker 1: You know what I mean? It's not like she has
- 20:36Speaker 1: a plastic surgeon. She's got 2,000 40-year-old clients that are
- 20:41Speaker 1: going to need work for the next 20 years and
- 20:43Speaker 1: aren't going to leave you. Do you think there's a.
- 20:47Speaker 4: Possibility that she ends up moving into an apartment in
- 20:50Speaker 4: Reseda and has to wear clothing from Kohl's?
- 20:53Speaker 1: Never. So she'll just meet somebody rich. She, first of all,
- 21:00Speaker 1: I don't think she's gotten herself out there and she
- 21:03Speaker 1: better start.
- 21:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Better start trying to meet somebody. Or if she doesn't,
- 21:09Speaker 1: she can make it work. She is a famous person.
- 21:11Speaker 1: She has a huge Instagram following. She's just going to
- 21:14Speaker 1: really like have to hustle. She's going to have to
- 21:16Speaker 1: find some products or something that she can like really push. Okay.
- 21:20Speaker 1: In the fashion world. Okay. That plant.
- 21:23Speaker 4: I want you to imitate Dorit. doing some sort of
- 21:27Speaker 4: event where she has to sell like the product.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Okay, go ahead. Everybody always asks me, Dorit, how do
- 21:36Speaker 1: you keep such beautiful items around your house that look real?
- 21:41Speaker 1: And that is why I have teamed up with Plants
- 21:45Speaker 1: Be Me. Plants Be Me looks so real. That people
- 21:51Speaker 1: absolutely walk over with a watering can and I go, no, no, no,
- 21:55Speaker 1: it's fake, mind you. No need to water it. And
- 21:59Speaker 1: that's why I want to share with all of you
- 22:02Speaker 1: that Plants Be Mine is something that, it's really more
- 22:08Speaker 1: of a spirituality, mind you. It keeps you going. It
- 22:11Speaker 1: keeps you thinking. I wake up in the morning and
- 22:13Speaker 1: I see Phoenix and Jaguar and I look over to
- 22:15Speaker 1: the plant and I said, where one seed can grow...
- 22:20Speaker 1: A fake one can live forever. And it's not bad
- 22:25Speaker 1: to have fake. There's plenty of real outside. But what's
- 22:29Speaker 1: inside can live as you grow spiritually. Your plant doesn't
- 22:35Speaker 1: have to grow. You don't have to trim it because
- 22:38Speaker 1: it's not real in the sense that it could die. Oh,
- 22:43Speaker 1: my God. That's what it is. But please, plans be mine,
- 22:50Speaker 1: call her, because I don't know where she's going to go.
- 22:54Speaker 1: She's going from like a 6,000 square foot home to whatever.
- 22:57Speaker 4: Okay, but now I want you to imitate her on
- 22:59Speaker 4: a date. So she's out on a date. The guy
- 23:02Speaker 4: doesn't know anything about her, but do her on like a, like,
- 23:06Speaker 4: tell me a little bit about yourself.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Well, I had a very problematic relationship. marriage, excuse me,
- 23:17Speaker 1: mind you, with my ex. And he was English. And
- 23:22Speaker 1: he would put it in a way, quite honestly, I
- 23:27Speaker 1: realize now I've been gaslit by a narcissist.
- 23:30Speaker 5: What?
- 23:31Speaker 1: Yes. And, you know, now it's time for me. I
- 23:37Speaker 1: always put everyone before me. You know, and as I
- 23:41Speaker 1: was shopping and accumulating a million dollars in a four-month
- 23:44Speaker 1: shopping spirit, that was for them to feel proud about
- 23:50Speaker 1: my Prada outfit. It wasn't about me. And that's what
- 23:53Speaker 1: my family doesn't get, or anyone around me, mind you,
- 23:58Speaker 1: or my inner circle or my dear friends that I
- 24:02Speaker 1: thought would support me. Excuse me, I will have a vodka...
- 24:07Speaker 1: On ice, short glass, three lemons, carcass out. Thank you, baby.
- 24:14Speaker 1: He had an alcohol problem and I do not. You'll
- 24:17Speaker 1: see that I'll have one, maybe two, providing how long
- 24:20Speaker 1: we enjoy this time together. And anyway, so I was.
- 24:25Speaker 1: There you go.
- 24:30Speaker 4: Do you think the guy asked her out for a
- 24:32Speaker 4: second date?
- 24:33Speaker 1: She's so beautiful. She looks great. She's very sweet in person.
- 24:40Speaker 1: I have hope. Yeah. I'm nervous about that Andy Cohen comment.
- 24:46Speaker 1: That's pretty telling to me. Because it makes me think
- 24:49Speaker 1: that the rumors are true. Yeah. That maybe she wouldn't
- 24:52Speaker 1: come back. And really the reason why is what I've
- 24:55Speaker 1: always said is that when you've been on so long,
- 24:57Speaker 1: the way the contract works is they really make a
- 24:59Speaker 1: lot of money.
- 25:00Speaker 5: Yep.
- 25:01Speaker 1: They're making over a million. And just like they take
- 25:05Speaker 1: a salesman and cut his, you know, area in half
- 25:09Speaker 1: or whatever, or tell a CEO to leave. So, and
- 25:15Speaker 1: then if you have the reason, this is if she
- 25:20Speaker 1: takes a pause break, it will be presented to her as,
- 25:26Speaker 1: you know what, three, the book's doing amazing. You look great.
- 25:32Speaker 1: going through this time and I just feel like in
- 25:34Speaker 1: a year and a half it'll be better it'll be
- 25:36Speaker 1: better you'll you'll have your maybe you'll be dating someone
- 25:39Speaker 1: that we'd love to see and you know this is
- 25:42Speaker 1: my bad Andy impression but I don't even it wouldn't
- 25:45Speaker 1: even be Andy that makes the call it'd be Alex
- 25:47Speaker 1: or someone else but you know and and just get
- 25:51Speaker 1: through this part settle it up get a good place
- 25:55Speaker 1: with PK maybe he can come back on the show
- 25:57Speaker 1: and we'd pay him if he needs the money your
- 26:00Speaker 1: kids will be older And, you know, and just the meantime, like,
- 26:05Speaker 1: just get your stuff settled. You don't want to, we don't,
- 26:08Speaker 1: you don't want the world seeing you having to struggle
- 26:10Speaker 1: and move and fight with your, it's not going to
- 26:13Speaker 1: behoove you to do that.
- 26:14Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 26:15Speaker 1: So we're going to put you on pause. Mm-hmm. And then,
- 26:18Speaker 1: and then they'll get her on traders. They'll be like,
- 26:22Speaker 1: here's a little nugget.
- 26:23Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Because it's all peacock. And you can be on traders. Gee,
- 26:28Speaker 1: I don't know if they would take her. All right. Well,
- 26:30Speaker 1: that's my prediction. But I'm not... I find her interesting
- 26:34Speaker 1: to watch. I don't want her to leave. You know
- 26:36Speaker 1: what show I want her on?
- 26:37Speaker 5: What?
- 26:37Speaker 1: Special Forces. Oh, my God. That would be... That is... Please, please, Dorit,
- 26:43Speaker 1: if you get asked to do this, this will make
- 26:46Speaker 1: the world fall in love with you. Yes. This is
- 26:49Speaker 1: Goldie Hawn in Private Benjamin. Yep. 100%. And I think
- 26:53Speaker 1: they've tried to do that with a Teresa or whatever.
- 26:56Speaker 1: Teresa's cleaning everyone's toilets. That girl is an Italian firstborn daughter.
- 27:01Speaker 1: She didn't give us that. Dorit will give us this. Mm-hmm. Oh,
- 27:07Speaker 1: my God.
- 27:07Speaker 4: I want to see her on the backpack. And then
- 27:08Speaker 4: she has to go on the tightrope.
- 27:10Speaker 1: And then, yeah.
- 27:10Speaker 4: And then they're screaming at her. Remember, they take, like,
- 27:12Speaker 4: the bags off the heads?
- 27:14Speaker 1: Yeah. And then she can't wear makeup.
- 27:16Speaker 4: That might be an issue. But then people would like
- 27:18Speaker 4: her more, I think.
- 27:19Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. That would be the thing. Yeah.
- 27:23Speaker 1: But you got to stay long in order to really
- 27:25Speaker 1: get the benefit. No, you don't. Tara Reid lasted one day.
- 27:28Speaker 1: I don't want to do it. And then she got
- 27:30Speaker 1: to go on a media tour. Don't ask me. I
- 27:32Speaker 1: know I'm not at the level, but. I would do it. Okay, good.
- 27:35Speaker 1: I don't. That's scary-ish. Okay, you know what? But you
- 27:40Speaker 1: have to go so far, too.
- 27:42Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Like, let's just go to, like, Bakersfield and do it. Like,
- 27:46Speaker 1: I don't want to travel so far. You could actually
- 27:50Speaker 1: duplicate it in Bakersfield. I know. Why do we have
- 27:52Speaker 1: to go? Why do we have to go? Why would
- 27:54Speaker 1: you go so far?
- 27:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 27:56Speaker 6: Anyway, why don't we do a spinoff called The Forces
- 28:02Speaker 6: of Special People and we go to Bakersfield and we
- 28:04Speaker 6: just do like one day and it's like one of
- 28:06Speaker 6: those mud runs or something.
- 28:08Speaker 1: Remember when everyone had to do mud runs?
- 28:10Speaker 3: Yes.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Yeah. Why doesn't anyone do mud runs anymore on reality shows?
- 28:16Speaker 4: Those were the yesteryears.
- 28:19Speaker 1: First, there was a stripper pole. Axe throwing. Then there
- 28:22Speaker 1: was mud runs. Then there was escape rooms and axe throwing.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Yes.
- 28:29Speaker 4: Oh, now roll out your cellulite. They did that in OC, right?
- 28:32Speaker 1: Roll out the cellulite. What's the latest thing? Just peptides. Well,
- 28:38Speaker 1: Salt Lake City, I feel like. Peptides tour. Peptides tour.
- 28:41Speaker 1: What do they do in Salt Lake?
- 28:43Speaker 4: Remember they like did a hike or something. Oh no,
- 28:45Speaker 4: they went ice fishing and then they got in a
- 28:47Speaker 4: bucket of water or something.
- 28:49Speaker 1: I don't know. We've done the ice dips. Going in
- 28:52Speaker 1: the ice thing and then they realize that's not even
- 28:54Speaker 1: good for a woman's body. Oh, by the way, are
- 28:56Speaker 1: we over that yet? Are people still doing that? The
- 28:58Speaker 1: cold plunges? Well, they've discovered... Oh, no, the new thing
- 29:00Speaker 1: is saunas. No, but they've discovered... Thank God I never did...
- 29:04Speaker 1: There's nothing that makes me happier than a kind of...
- 29:08Speaker 1: were exercise or something where I didn't jump on it
- 29:12Speaker 1: and then they realized it really wasn't that great for
- 29:14Speaker 1: you anyway. Spinning, I believe, is never that great. People
- 29:18Speaker 1: said they never lost any weight and just lost their mind.
- 29:21Speaker 1: Because your legs get really muscular. And the ice bath
- 29:26Speaker 1: or whatever you call it, cold plunge, is allegedly not
- 29:30Speaker 1: great for female bodies. Probably not. It's better for men
- 29:35Speaker 1: and inflammation from sports, but for women it's not good.
- 29:39Speaker 1: And the saunas are good. which is totally fine with
- 29:41Speaker 1: me I like to sit in a warm sauna.
- 29:43Speaker 4: But remember I was trying to get you to get
- 29:45Speaker 4: the weighted vest did you ever buy that I.
- 29:46Speaker 1: Did get the weighted vest and then I read yeah
- 29:49Speaker 1: I don't believe it could hurt your knees.
- 29:51Speaker 4: No because I asked David Pollack who played in the
- 29:53Speaker 4: NFL should I do it and he's super fit and
- 29:55Speaker 4: he said oh yeah it's great.
- 29:56Speaker 1: All right I still have it okay um And I
- 30:00Speaker 1: still feel like it's a little bit better. But everyone
- 30:03Speaker 1: says really what you should do is definitely walk, but
- 30:06Speaker 1: also lift heavy weights. Well, of course. And lift heavier
- 30:09Speaker 1: than you ever thought you could. Yes, yes, yes. And
- 30:11Speaker 1: that's the best thing to do for people my age. Anyway, Dorit,
- 30:18Speaker 1: we hope that you come back. Okay, so then Amanda said,
- 30:23Speaker 1: you know, I thought about maybe I would buy Dorit's house. But,
- 30:28Speaker 1: you know, it's, it's so modern and I can't remember
- 30:33Speaker 1: the word she said, like basic. And you need to
- 30:35Speaker 1: do renovations. Yeah. And we'd have to do renovations. And
- 30:38Speaker 1: if we, you know, in order to make a profit
- 30:42Speaker 1: and I, so I'm like, not only did you bag
- 30:46Speaker 1: on her for this house, that's only like six years old,
- 30:50Speaker 1: new build, which many people would still love to have.
- 30:53Speaker 1: It's open. It's clean. It's new. It's pretty. Then you,
- 30:58Speaker 1: Bagged on it that you would have to renovate it.
- 31:00Speaker 1: So anyone that was even thinking about it needs to
- 31:03Speaker 1: also think, oh, this look is now out. Yeah. Also, then,
- 31:08Speaker 1: you know, let's remind the world that they were robbed
- 31:10Speaker 1: at gunpoint. So that's not great for a location. Wait,
- 31:13Speaker 1: I think I have an idea. Yes. She should also
- 31:16Speaker 1: go on special forces.
- 31:18Speaker 4: And I just want you to picture her with the, like,
- 31:20Speaker 4: she's never fully committed to the sleeves of a jacket.
- 31:23Speaker 4: And she's in the interrogation room with the jacket.
- 31:27Speaker 1: But those two, on special forces. She does a folding leg. Oh, yes,
- 31:31Speaker 1: she does. Yes, yes, yes, yes. And she'll just like, okay,
- 31:35Speaker 1: you can ask me something. I've never done Amanda really before.
- 31:38Speaker 1: So let me see if I can do her. Okay.
- 31:40Speaker 4: Wait, by the way, if she's on special forces and
- 31:42Speaker 4: they're screaming at her, she still has to talk about
- 31:44Speaker 4: her manifesting business.
- 31:46Speaker 1: Of course. Let's go to that moment. Okay. Tell us
- 31:49Speaker 1: about your manifesting business. I'm the money queen. People come
- 31:54Speaker 1: to me for that. Some people can think it's not real,
- 31:58Speaker 1: but my results show it. With my retention rate and
- 32:02Speaker 1: the people that come back for more, they realize that
- 32:06Speaker 1: I am there to just guide them to their potential
- 32:09Speaker 1: of making money. Why not write and say, if money
- 32:14Speaker 1: was not an issue, what would you have? And visualize
- 32:16Speaker 1: it and write it down and say it. And thousands
- 32:21Speaker 1: of people don't lie. That's why they keep coming back.
- 32:26Speaker 1: And that's why I wrote my latest book, Godly as Fuck,
- 32:30Speaker 1: because God is an aspiration as well. And you might
- 32:35Speaker 1: as well go for the number one person in the world.
- 32:39Speaker 1: And that's God. And then I'm after that. So then
- 32:44Speaker 1: those two.
- 32:45Speaker 4: Former like armies or CIA agents are just sitting there like, what?
- 32:50Speaker 1: What? That to me is good TV. That will be
- 32:54Speaker 1: so good. I wish it just, I think it should
- 32:56Speaker 1: just be all housewives. I know they like to mix
- 32:58Speaker 1: it with randoms, but.
- 32:59Speaker 4: I would like to throw in like a Joey McIntyre
- 33:01Speaker 4: from New Kids on the Block with Dorit and with
- 33:04Speaker 4: Amanda Francis on Special Forces.
- 33:06Speaker 1: I know they like to always mix like. Yeah, mix
- 33:08Speaker 1: them up. Mix them up because then there's always some
- 33:10Speaker 1: weird like friendship or alliance. Yeah. Like Amanda will become
- 33:13Speaker 1: best friends with a rapper or something. Yeah, absolutely. Um,
- 33:18Speaker 1: all good. Okay. Summer house. I know we've talked a
- 33:21Speaker 1: lot about it, but I always like to get, you know,
- 33:24Speaker 1: now there's been two, um, episodes of the reunion. We
- 33:27Speaker 1: have one more left. We don't really know what that's
- 33:31Speaker 1: going to entail. We've covered a lot of it. Some
- 33:35Speaker 1: people online, you know, people are saying, um, Okay, maybe
- 33:41Speaker 1: they've yelled and beaten her down enough. She's clearly on
- 33:44Speaker 1: like a beta blocker and people might say, what's a
- 33:46Speaker 1: beta blocker? I heard about beta blockers years ago that
- 33:50Speaker 1: I'd get so nervous for auditions and someone said, have
- 33:53Speaker 1: you ever, and an acting teacher said, have you ever
- 33:55Speaker 1: thought of a beta blocker? Whatever. Okay. And so there's
- 33:58Speaker 1: that type of thing. There's other stuff, whatever. They seem
- 34:02Speaker 1: overly calm. And then, you know. Calm? They were born.
- 34:06Speaker 1: She looks like.
- 34:06Speaker 4: I said she looks like Carol Ann looking into the
- 34:09Speaker 4: light in Poltergeist.
- 34:10Speaker 1: She's like this. Yeah. You can't do that.
- 34:13Speaker 4: You're on a reality show reunion. It's like this is
- 34:15Speaker 4: the hot seat.
- 34:16Speaker 1: It's boring. I just don't. Listen, I watch the show
- 34:19Speaker 1: on and off. I don't really know who Amanda is.
- 34:25Speaker 1: What was her life in high school? Why? Why? Was she,
- 34:29Speaker 1: you know, did she stay with Kyle to, the thing is,
- 34:33Speaker 1: once this is your whole life, it's like Scientology. Right.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Everybody you're friends with is a Scientologist. Your businesses are
- 34:42Speaker 1: involved in Scientology. Mm-hmm. You're, you know, so this is
- 34:47Speaker 1: even a bigger thing because you're married, so that's always
- 34:51Speaker 1: a huge thing no matter if you're famous or not.
- 34:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:54Speaker 1: And you basically have a business together. Mm-hmm. Which is
- 34:58Speaker 1: the TV show, The Summer House. Yeah. And that's where
- 35:01Speaker 1: you know everybody. And it's the only job you've had
- 35:04Speaker 1: for 10 years. And you know it and you know
- 35:07Speaker 1: the routine and you know this is when we start this,
- 35:10Speaker 1: you know, month before summer. We meet with everybody. We
- 35:13Speaker 1: find the house. We find other people. I don't know. Like,
- 35:17Speaker 1: I think... I'm going to best explain her this way.
- 35:20Speaker 1: She was the girl....
- 35:22Speaker 4: In elementary school, who was always outside on the playground crying.
- 35:27Speaker 4: And there were a bunch of girls around her. That's
- 35:30Speaker 4: who she is. She has zero personality. She's a romantic climber.
- 35:34Speaker 4: So every person she's with, she takes on their personality
- 35:37Speaker 4: and hides behind them. And that gives her access to opportunities.
- 35:42Speaker 1: That's it.
- 35:43Speaker 4: And she saw this as an opportunity to date Kyle
- 35:45Speaker 4: and to be on this TV show. Like he clearly
- 35:48Speaker 4: didn't want to be with anybody. He was like a cad.
- 35:51Speaker 4: And she's like this dopey girl that shows up like
- 35:54Speaker 4: the first season that she's on the show, like clearly
- 35:58Speaker 4: just want to be on the TV show. And also
- 36:00Speaker 4: the last reunion, they basically admitted they have never had
- 36:03Speaker 4: sex in their marriage. They've been married for four years.
- 36:06Speaker 4: So that's a partnership.
- 36:08Speaker 1: That is crazy. Crazy. So do they even have it
- 36:11Speaker 1: on their wedding night? I don't think so. So they
- 36:14Speaker 1: were not having it before then? No. No. And so
- 36:17Speaker 1: then they did it for the show. Did it for
- 36:18Speaker 1: the show, yeah.
- 36:20Speaker 7: That's also like your whole life is for the show.
- 36:22Speaker 7: I'd also like Kyle to be called out on that. Like,
- 36:24Speaker 7: why are you perpetuating this story every season? Like, oh,
- 36:28Speaker 7: we're trying to make our marriage work. You're not married.
- 36:30Speaker 1: You're just like business partners. Right. I also think that,
- 36:35Speaker 1: you know, how many couples have we heard that are
- 36:40Speaker 1: married and said, we were friends first? Yeah. So if
- 36:43Speaker 1: I'm playing a little bit of a devil's advocate... of
- 36:45Speaker 1: Amanda and West. It's not insane to think that at
- 36:50Speaker 1: one time you were platonic friends until you weren't. And
- 36:54Speaker 1: I've talked about the proximity and work friends and neighbors
- 36:58Speaker 1: and all that kind of stuff where people get together
- 37:00Speaker 1: and screw and then sometimes they do end up together. Yeah.
- 37:04Speaker 1: And there is some criticism for Sierra that's like, we
- 37:09Speaker 1: understand that you're angry with With Amanda and everything, because
- 37:14Speaker 1: she was clearly being deceptive and ended up with him.
- 37:18Speaker 1: And it's paid off for her. You know, she's now
- 37:21Speaker 1: the Ariana from Vanderpump. But also people like, OK, this
- 37:28Speaker 1: was so she and West never slept together either. I
- 37:31Speaker 1: think I think they definitely did. Definitely. Definitely. What is
- 37:35Speaker 1: this talk of, like, we were just making out friends
- 37:37Speaker 1: and I'd spend the night? I think they've definitely slept together.
- 37:40Speaker 1: I still think as someone who loves to make out
- 37:43Speaker 1: and dry hump and did for a long time, I
- 37:44Speaker 1: still think you could have very, very deep feelings and
- 37:47Speaker 1: be obsessed with someone that you just kissed. Like, I
- 37:49Speaker 1: get that part.
- 37:50Speaker 4: No, I think they definitely, like, she went to visit
- 37:52Speaker 4: his family. Like, you're not going to do that unless
- 37:54Speaker 4: you're sleeping with somebody. I think what the issue at hand,
- 37:56Speaker 4: why people get so fired up, is imagine you have
- 37:59Speaker 4: a friend and you're sharing all the details of the
- 38:02Speaker 4: person that you're into or sleeping with. So all the
- 38:05Speaker 4: little nuances, it's like she gave her a playbook almost.
- 38:09Speaker 4: And then to find, so like all the information, she
- 38:12Speaker 4: did the work and then she gets the benefit of it.
- 38:15Speaker 4: Like Amanda, I think that's the part where it's like, ew,
- 38:17Speaker 4: this is so creepy and weird.
- 38:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 38:21Speaker 4: Like if you were like, Kate, oh my God, I
- 38:22Speaker 4: love Kevin. Like I'm so into Kevin. We've been hooking up. Okay,
- 38:25Speaker 4: so when I go over to his place, this is
- 38:27Speaker 4: the kind of thing he does. And oh my God,
- 38:28Speaker 4: I love it when he does that. And then I
- 38:30Speaker 4: met his mom and then she's like this. And you
- 38:32Speaker 4: have to meet his friend.
- 38:34Speaker 1: Well, it does depend. And then I start sleeping with Kevin.
- 38:37Speaker 1: You'd be like, Kate, what the fuck is going on?
- 38:39Speaker 1: And also like some girlfriends with each other are very graphic. Totally.
- 38:45Speaker 1: About the sex they have with somebody. But others are not.
- 38:49Speaker 1: So I'm curious, was Sierra graphic about why she liked
- 38:54Speaker 1: hooking up with West? Yeah. And did she share that?
- 38:57Speaker 1: That would also really add to the deception. Totally. If
- 39:01Speaker 1: it was just like, oh my God, I don't know
- 39:03Speaker 1: if this guy's into me or not. Like he's such
- 39:04Speaker 1: a game plan. Like if it was just that, I'd
- 39:06Speaker 1: be like, okay, you still have every right to be
- 39:09Speaker 1: mad for sure.
- 39:10Speaker 4: So then- But wait a minute, add to that, the
- 39:13Speaker 4: person that's involved, Amanda, is married. So sometimes with married people,
- 39:17Speaker 4: with single people, it's like- Well, I know that back
- 39:19Speaker 4: in my day when I was single, like she's like
- 39:22Speaker 4: this higher level person, like, oh, you crazy kids. The
- 39:25Speaker 4: dating world just seems crazy these days.
- 39:27Speaker 1: And meanwhile, she's sleeping with him. Also, she's like 32.
- 39:30Speaker 1: or something so now the clock is ticking too so
- 39:33Speaker 1: you're kind of like I gotta jump you know shit
- 39:37Speaker 1: or get off the pot like I gotta like break
- 39:38Speaker 1: up with this guy and yeah I just think I
- 39:45Speaker 1: think he's the first guy that she's kissed really kissed
- 39:48Speaker 1: totally and gotten together with since before she was married
- 39:52Speaker 1: if she never got together with her husband. And to
- 39:55Speaker 1: be that young and to be that hot and be
- 39:59Speaker 1: on TV and having people think you're hot and know
- 40:02Speaker 1: you're hot and not being able to explore any kind
- 40:04Speaker 1: of sexuality for years. The first time someone touches you,
- 40:09Speaker 1: it might have been like an electric moment.
- 40:12Speaker 4: Every season it was like, wow, they seem like they're
- 40:15Speaker 4: in a miserable marriage. And then I felt bad for
- 40:17Speaker 4: the other people in the house. Like, who wants to
- 40:18Speaker 4: go to a share house with like a miserable married couple?
- 40:22Speaker 1: The fighting couple.
- 40:23Speaker 4: And then you find out they haven't even had sex
- 40:25Speaker 4: in all these years. Like, I would be so mad
- 40:27Speaker 4: if I lived in that house. Like, oh, my God,
- 40:29Speaker 4: this is ridiculous.
- 40:31Speaker 1: Now, Kyle was filmed because I saw it. Doing his
- 40:36Speaker 1: DJ thing, and this girl was ahead of him, in
- 40:39Speaker 1: front of him, and he leaned over, and it was
- 40:41Speaker 1: a romantic kiss. I mean, he must be loving life.
- 40:44Speaker 1: She could be a fan, though. She could be a fan.
- 40:47Speaker 1: I don't know, because apparently he's dating the other girl from...
- 40:49Speaker 1: Southern Charm, Sally. Is she the DJ? Is that someone else? No,
- 40:53Speaker 1: she's like, she was... Oh, the blonde girl. She's very cute. Now,
- 40:59Speaker 1: on The City, which is a spinoff, This scene was
- 41:03Speaker 1: a big deal. So they went in October of 25.
- 41:06Speaker 1: They're filming the city. Summer's over. She is finding her
- 41:11Speaker 1: own place separate from Kyle. Amanda goes and meets Sierra
- 41:17Speaker 1: and West and is like, oh, my God. Now you
- 41:19Speaker 1: guys are friends again. I have my two great friends here.
- 41:24Speaker 1: And then the producer in a convention confessional goes now.
- 41:30Speaker 1: It's May 5th. Can we ask you at that time,
- 41:33Speaker 1: were you feeling anything romantic for West? And she says no. Yeah, right.
- 41:39Speaker 1: We may never know the truth. Yeah. But if she
- 41:42Speaker 1: writes Unburdened 2 by Amanda Batula, fucking tell us. Tell, tell, tell, tell.
- 41:49Speaker 1: Tell us. And actually don't write it unless you are
- 41:52Speaker 1: lying to us right now and we can hear the
- 41:54Speaker 1: truth and we can hear how it happened. She's going
- 41:57Speaker 1: to strike the iron while it's hot. This is what
- 42:00Speaker 1: I talked about for Rachel Raquel. I remember we did
- 42:02Speaker 1: say that too. And have your podcast be about her.
- 42:06Speaker 1: mistresses and other women's and affairs and everything. People love,
- 42:11Speaker 1: the reason this is such a big deal, it's one
- 42:12Speaker 1: of my favorite genre of television and film, is cheating
- 42:15Speaker 1: and infidelity, killing one spouse for their insurance money, all
- 42:19Speaker 1: of it. It's like, so whether you end up with
- 42:23Speaker 1: West or not, I don't know if you're a writer,
- 42:25Speaker 1: I don't know if you could be a podcaster because
- 42:27Speaker 1: what we've seen is, I don't think a booming personality,
- 42:29Speaker 1: but maybe doesn't mean, you know, everyone has a podcast.
- 42:32Speaker 1: You can have one too. And- and see where it's at.
- 42:36Speaker 4: Maybe she needs to go to Special Forces too. People,
- 42:40Speaker 4: the good people from Fox, we've just cast your show.
- 42:44Speaker 1: You're welcome. You're welcome. Now, you had some theories about Wes.
- 42:49Speaker 1: Do you think he wants off the show?
- 42:51Speaker 4: Oh, I think he wants off. I think he wants off.
- 42:54Speaker 4: If he's not fired, I don't know. Okay, so scandal
- 42:57Speaker 4: happens in March.
- 42:58Speaker 2: Right.
- 42:59Speaker 1: Reunion doesn't air till May. They are told, don't talk.
- 43:03Speaker 4: Of course, because I've had experiences trying to interview these
- 43:08Speaker 4: reality stars for many years.
- 43:09Speaker 1: Trust me.
- 43:10Speaker 4: They do not want them to talk until after the
- 43:13Speaker 4: reunion airs because they want to save everything for their reunion.
- 43:15Speaker 4: They're getting so much attention. So they're telling them, save
- 43:20Speaker 4: it for afterwards. So that's a two-month span. Meanwhile, they're
- 43:24Speaker 4: getting a deluge of hate DMs. He's gone up 40,000 followers.
- 43:28Speaker 1: I think he's like.
- 43:31Speaker 4: I want to control my own life. And he has
- 43:34Speaker 4: a podcast. He has said a little bit. I'm sure
- 43:36Speaker 4: that they were not happy about that because they want
- 43:38Speaker 4: to keep him to keep it.
- 43:39Speaker 1: For the reunion.
- 43:40Speaker 4: The TMZ photos seem to be planted by somebody in
- 43:44Speaker 4: his camp or their camp.
- 43:45Speaker 1: What TMZ photos? They were like... Oh, in Italy, you mean? No,
- 43:49Speaker 1: way before that, like to confirm that they were actually dating. Oh.
- 43:53Speaker 4: They were at the movie theater or out on the street.
- 43:55Speaker 4: I'm like, somebody is working behind the scenes to make sure.
- 43:58Speaker 4: And also that Amanda was doing the breadcrumbing. I didn't
- 44:01Speaker 4: understand what that meant at first. Where she was hinting
- 44:04Speaker 4: and letting... So that's kind of diabolical.
- 44:07Speaker 1: Diabolical. That he wanted... Fans to figure it out. Yeah.
- 44:10Speaker 1: And you got off on that.
- 44:11Speaker 4: She's getting the thrill out of it. You get a
- 44:13Speaker 4: thrill out of it.
- 44:13Speaker 1: She thinks she's Taylor Swift. And, you know, I heard
- 44:16Speaker 1: from a Juicy Scooper who wrote me who said I
- 44:20Speaker 1: was the girl that slept with friends, boyfriends, and things.
- 44:25Speaker 1: And on vacation, we were all on vacation together. I
- 44:28Speaker 1: would sneak around. Oh, my God. And secret stuff. And
- 44:34Speaker 1: if she, it's extremely thrilling to be in a deceptive, thing.
- 44:40Speaker 1: It's like adds to the sexuality of it. She's better now.
- 44:44Speaker 1: She realizes she did it wrong. She feels terrible, but
- 44:46Speaker 1: it's like, it's like any kind of addiction, love, love and, um,
- 44:51Speaker 1: love addiction, love and sex addiction. I mean, it is
- 44:53Speaker 1: something like that. Now an affair can be one thing.
- 44:56Speaker 1: And if you end up together for the rest of
- 44:57Speaker 1: your life and that, that just, that can happen, you know, it,
- 45:02Speaker 1: it's unusual, but it does happen. I mean, you know, people,
- 45:06Speaker 1: their husband leaves them for the girlfriend and then they're
- 45:09Speaker 1: together for the next 30 years. And it, you know,
- 45:13Speaker 1: but this is just a mess.
- 45:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 45:16Speaker 1: And when I think about Rachel Raquel, I remember she
- 45:20Speaker 1: said something to the effect about like, I, at that
- 45:24Speaker 1: point when it all got exposed, Tom was my only friend.
- 45:30Speaker 1: In this weird circle. No one else would talk to me.
- 45:32Speaker 1: So then even then I felt like I had to
- 45:34Speaker 1: follow the rules a little bit more of what we're saying,
- 45:36Speaker 1: what we're doing as it was unfolding. And then she
- 45:39Speaker 1: got away and is out of it and better now.
- 45:42Speaker 1: But and doing sound baths.
- 45:43Speaker 4: He works in like in the sports world. Like he
- 45:47Speaker 4: wants I think he wants off this train. I think
- 45:49Speaker 4: he looks at Paige and he's like, I don't want
- 45:51Speaker 4: to be. one of the cast members that's on the
- 45:54Speaker 4: show way too long. I want a page life where
- 45:56Speaker 4: I can build other opportunities.
- 45:58Speaker 1: And I just think he's so, I feel like, I
- 46:01Speaker 1: don't want middle-aged women to be like in my DMs
- 46:04Speaker 1: all the time. But this is the thing though. He
- 46:05Speaker 1: really has become so unlikable. I don't know what, and
- 46:10Speaker 1: I don't know what guys are going to be like,
- 46:12Speaker 1: you know, he's not, he's not Travis Kelsey who can like,
- 46:15Speaker 1: get you a Super Bowl. Like, he's just some dude
- 46:18Speaker 1: that is in, you know, ill-fitting clothes and bites his fingernails. Like,
- 46:23Speaker 1: who cares? I don't know. I mean, I think he
- 46:25Speaker 1: was one of those things like, oh, who's this sad sack?
- 46:28Speaker 1: Who's this ugly piece of shit? Oh, he's kind of
- 46:31Speaker 1: a teddy bear. Oh, he's kind of sweet. All right, Sierra,
- 46:34Speaker 1: I'll lower my standards and be with this, like, loser
- 46:37Speaker 1: who's pining for me. And so I'm just saying, like, he's...
- 46:41Speaker 1: What now? What now? Because... He really, now other people
- 46:46Speaker 1: would think he did hook himself to Amanda because her
- 46:50Speaker 1: star was rising as the scorned woman who left the asshole.
- 46:55Speaker 1: Her score was rising. Then with him, it went down
- 46:58Speaker 1: along with his. But I do think people forgive them.
- 47:03Speaker 1: People have never really cared about Amanda that much. I mean,
- 47:06Speaker 1: they're not, you know, Lucy and Desi Arnaz. It's not like,
- 47:09Speaker 1: oh my God, these two are going to have their
- 47:10Speaker 1: own show and they're just such funny delights. I don't know. Maybe,
- 47:14Speaker 1: maybe it could be, but we'll see. I said before,
- 47:19Speaker 1: the only way to save this is to have a baby. Yeah.
- 47:23Speaker 4: Wow.
- 47:23Speaker 1: And stay together forever and just, and then just put
- 47:26Speaker 1: your baby on TV and hope that they bring in
- 47:28Speaker 1: the checks.
- 47:28Speaker 4: That would be a good made for TV movie. The
- 47:31Speaker 4: couple that has the baby just to like get out
- 47:33Speaker 4: of a scandal and then they're stuck with each other.
- 47:35Speaker 1: With the baby. Well, I mean, it's also like who
- 47:38Speaker 1: else in the world but West and Amanda understand what
- 47:43Speaker 1: they're in. They're not only in a friend scandal. Anybody
- 47:47Speaker 1: else that that this happened in a friend group that
- 47:50Speaker 1: isn't being televised would just the friendship would break up.
- 47:54Speaker 1: They'd leave the country club. They'd move out of the neighborhood. Yeah,
- 47:57Speaker 1: that's it. You wouldn't fuck with them anymore. You'd forget
- 48:00Speaker 1: about them. You'd run into them at Target three years
- 48:02Speaker 1: later and it'd be awkward. And then you'd see their
- 48:05Speaker 1: little three year old baby and you'd be like, well,
- 48:08Speaker 1: say hi to West for me. Then you get in
- 48:11Speaker 1: the parking lot. You're like, Sierra, it's Mia. Yes. Guess
- 48:14Speaker 1: who the fuck I ran into. Exactly. Actually, bitch still
- 48:18Speaker 1: is skinny. Shut the fuck up. Yes, she is. Well, whatever.
- 48:23Speaker 1: But the kid has West's face. Put a mustache on him.
- 48:27Speaker 1: It doesn't even look like her. So you can be
- 48:29Speaker 1: happy about that. You know, and then like, that's it.
- 48:32Speaker 1: That's the end of it.
- 48:33Speaker 4: Isn't that the great enjoyment of your life? Is the
- 48:36Speaker 4: call that you make from the parking lot when you
- 48:38Speaker 4: run into somebody from yesteryear coming?
- 48:40Speaker 1: That's good. You're never going to believe who I ran into.
- 48:43Speaker 1: And then like going through every detail. Don't leave anything out. Yeah.
- 48:46Speaker 1: You're a little shaky.
- 48:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 48:48Speaker 1: You're like 9-1-1. Yeah. Call me. Ran into blah, blah, blah.
- 48:52Speaker 2: Yep.
- 48:52Speaker 1: Yep.
- 48:52Speaker 2: Yep.
- 48:53Speaker 1: You need to do it on a phone. Yeah. So good. Well,
- 48:58Speaker 1: we'll see what happens. I watched the J-Lo movie. Not
- 49:01Speaker 1: the whole thing. I started it. I, with Chris Frangiolla,
- 49:05Speaker 1: had predicted what the storyline was. Were you close? No. Oh, wow.
- 49:10Speaker 1: I'm proud to say and humbled to say I was wrong. Wow. Okay.
- 49:15Speaker 1: So the story is she is the boss. Okay. And-
- 49:20Speaker 1: name of the movie again? It's called Office Romance because
- 49:23Speaker 1: they wanted you to figure it out. I mean, could you...
- 49:25Speaker 1: I'm like, is that a new thing? The creative geniuses.
- 49:27Speaker 1: They have to say they have to come up with
- 49:29Speaker 1: really basic stuff and they have to like reiterate the
- 49:31Speaker 1: storyline because everyone's scrolling all the time. Maybe. Oh, you
- 49:35Speaker 1: know what?
- 49:35Speaker 4: I think that's probably true. I think Matt Damon did
- 49:37Speaker 4: say something like you have to dumb scripts down.
- 49:39Speaker 1: You have to dumb scripts. So it's like, so she
- 49:44Speaker 1: runs an airline. Okay. But she's a Nepo baby because
- 49:48Speaker 1: her dad was also a pilot. She's a pilot and
- 49:52Speaker 1: they run like a small airline. Oh. Like, let's say
- 49:55Speaker 1: it's like, what, not Southwest, but whatever. Pioneer Airlines. Pioneer.
- 50:00Speaker 1: It's not like a Jet Suites, whatever. And, but she's a,
- 50:03Speaker 1: you know, but she's a hard ass. Everyone in the
- 50:06Speaker 1: office is scared of her. Which is probably very true
- 50:08Speaker 1: to her life. Which is a variety of people. There's
- 50:10Speaker 1: a girl in a wheelchair that's, you know, running away
- 50:13Speaker 1: from her and trying to scare her, you know, like
- 50:15Speaker 1: whatever the case is. All right. And she. That must
- 50:20Speaker 1: have been a real stretch for her. To play a
- 50:22Speaker 1: character like that. And so, you know, the day starts
- 50:25Speaker 1: and everyone's bustling around Sun Cruise Airlines and everyone's dressed
- 50:30Speaker 1: to the nines. And I just want to say, ask
- 50:33Speaker 1: somebody who has not worked in an office for 14 years.
- 50:36Speaker 1: And when I did, it was very casual attire because
- 50:39Speaker 1: it was a TV show. Are people actually going to
- 50:44Speaker 1: an office and getting dressed up like that and all
- 50:47Speaker 1: arriving at the same time?
- 50:49Speaker 2: No.
- 50:49Speaker 1: Anymore? Isn't that like a 20-year-old thing? Yeah. And so
- 50:54Speaker 1: then she's acting like Miranda in Devil Wears Prada. The
- 50:58Speaker 1: wizards in Hollywood didn't even think about that. Okay. And
- 51:02Speaker 1: so then she walks in and this is my inspiration
- 51:07Speaker 1: because I'm wearing white today. Of course, she's wearing all white.
- 51:10Speaker 5: Okay.
- 51:11Speaker 1: Pants and a long white coat and a white vest. And,
- 51:15Speaker 1: you know, everyone's like, hello, Miss Jones, whatever her name is.
- 51:19Speaker 1: And they're all scared. And, you know, and and then
- 51:24Speaker 1: he is the lawyer on her case. And it's kind
- 51:28Speaker 1: of a weird story. She's being sued. Are they supposed
- 51:30Speaker 1: to fall in love? She's being sued by another airline
- 51:36Speaker 1: saying that This one airport had a couple extra gates
- 51:41Speaker 1: available for a new airline to come into. Okay. And
- 51:45Speaker 1: they had already promised these gates to United and Delta
- 51:49Speaker 1: and something else. But then she had dinner with the
- 51:53Speaker 1: airport guy and suddenly the next day he switched it
- 51:57Speaker 1: and opened it up to Sun Cruise Airs. Okay. So
- 52:01Speaker 1: this other guy is accusing her of either paying this airline,
- 52:06Speaker 1: this airport guy, or screwing him. It's a very weird storyline,
- 52:10Speaker 1: kind of. And then he literally has a boner for her.
- 52:14Speaker 1: He cannot... He can't handle himself. He saw her in
- 52:18Speaker 1: her glowy white dress, and at first she was really mean.
- 52:21Speaker 1: She says fuck a lot, by the way, a lot
- 52:23Speaker 1: of bad language, which I was kind of surprised by.
- 52:25Speaker 1: And then he, like, goes to shake her hand, and
- 52:27Speaker 1: she's like, what the hell? Fuck, dude. And he has, like,
- 52:29Speaker 1: a big boner, like, coming through his black pants.
- 52:32Speaker 7: What?
- 52:33Speaker 1: And he's the hired attorney? He's the general counsel?
- 52:35Speaker 5: And he's English.
- 52:36Speaker 1: And I guess he's a stand-up comic, too. named Matt Goldstein. Okay.
- 52:42Speaker 1: And then he goes to visit his sister in prison,
- 52:45Speaker 1: who's in such a bad prison situation that she's handcuffed
- 52:49Speaker 1: to the table. She can't even have a conversation with
- 52:51Speaker 1: her brother slash lawyer.
- 52:52Speaker 3: What?
- 52:56Speaker 1: And the first thing she's concerned with is not They
- 53:01Speaker 1: don't tell us what the crime is at this point.
- 53:05Speaker 1: I would think it would be murder. I don't think
- 53:06Speaker 1: it's like writing a fraudulent check. She's English, too, but
- 53:09Speaker 1: she's in a prison in whatever, America. Is she in
- 53:12Speaker 1: a jumpsuit or has nice clothes on? No, she's in
- 53:14Speaker 1: an orange jumpsuit. And she's like, her first question is,
- 53:17Speaker 1: you haven't gotten laid in four years. You better be dating.
- 53:21Speaker 1: And of course, J-Lo's assistant, who's extremely pregnant, who got inseminated,
- 53:28Speaker 1: doesn't care to be with her baby once it's born.
- 53:30Speaker 1: She's like, J-Lo, the minute I have this baby, I'm
- 53:34Speaker 1: leaving it with the nannies and I'm coming back to
- 53:36Speaker 1: work for you at Sun Cruise. And... And so everyone's
- 53:40Speaker 1: scared of the pregnant assistant because she's like a bitch, too.
- 53:44Speaker 1: So every man in the office is, like, terrified of
- 53:48Speaker 1: these women. That's, like, the flip of the roof. Oh,
- 53:50Speaker 1: we've got to know who wrote this. And then he,
- 53:52Speaker 1: you know, they have it. And she's attracted to him, too.
- 53:55Speaker 1: So they have this weird attraction going. She's attracted to
- 53:57Speaker 1: her general counsel.
- 53:59Speaker 3: Yes.
- 54:00Speaker 1: Okay. Because she saw the boner and she had been
- 54:03Speaker 1: single for a long, too. And, of course, her assistant
- 54:06Speaker 1: is like... your life is non-existent. It's business and business,
- 54:10Speaker 1: not business and a love life. By the way, no
- 54:12Speaker 1: assistant gives two shits about their boss's private life. Nobody does.
- 54:17Speaker 3: Nobody.
- 54:17Speaker 1: And also his assistant is like, you know, how's your
- 54:20Speaker 1: private life going?
- 54:21Speaker 4: I'm really worried about your private life, which is by
- 54:24Speaker 4: the way, like borderline an HR issue.
- 54:26Speaker 1: I'm literally like, is this the only office in America
- 54:28Speaker 1: that makes people go in five days a week? Cause
- 54:30Speaker 1: I thought everybody just works from home. Like, and it
- 54:32Speaker 1: was like running around. And also like, Is there mail
- 54:35Speaker 1: rooms even exist anymore? No. Like, so pushing the mail around?
- 54:40Speaker 1: How many people are getting mail items, like literal mail
- 54:43Speaker 1: items on their desk anymore? I need to find out
- 54:47Speaker 1: who wrote this. Her outfits are gorgeous. She's got a
- 54:51Speaker 1: lot of extra hair pinned into her head that look nice.
- 54:56Speaker 1: You know. Is the father alive? Her father is.
- 55:03Speaker 1: I can't remember. Who's the James Earl? He's like he's
- 55:09Speaker 1: like that that Mexican actor that has James Earl Jones.
- 55:14Speaker 3: No.
- 55:14Speaker 1: Who has bad word. Almost.
- 55:16Speaker 2: Yes.
- 55:17Speaker 1: That that I believe is from Stand By Me or.
- 55:20Speaker 1: I don't know. But anyway, he comes in with a long...
- 55:22Speaker 1: Stand and deliver? He comes down with a long gray
- 55:25Speaker 1: ponytail and like a leather bomber jacket and shows up
- 55:29Speaker 1: to the board meeting and he's like, hey, Gordita or
- 55:33Speaker 1: whatever he calls her. Gordita? He called her a fat ass? No,
- 55:37Speaker 1: maybe that's... I don't think he's fat ass. He calls
- 55:39Speaker 1: her some little like nickname and everybody's scared at the
- 55:43Speaker 1: meeting because he is the owner of the whole line
- 55:49Speaker 1: which is I mean, he's worked in corporate America, but
- 55:52Speaker 1: he looks like he's ready to jump on a Harley. Okay,
- 55:54Speaker 1: got it. And then, you know, but he's an airline
- 55:57Speaker 1: pilot who then built this big corporation and gave it
- 56:00Speaker 1: to his daughter, which everyone's like, oh, the daughter. Well,
- 56:02Speaker 1: the daughter's 55. I know she looks 45, but the
- 56:05Speaker 1: daughter's 55. Yes. So it's like, it's hardly like Paris
- 56:10Speaker 1: Hilton's running the airline. Who's taking a risk on this
- 56:13Speaker 1: young starlet?
- 56:14Speaker 2: Yes.
- 56:14Speaker 1: But like this woman, yeah. And so then anyway, that's
- 56:19Speaker 1: how far I got. Are you going to watch the rest?
- 56:21Speaker 1: People said the birth scene is either funny or weird
- 56:24Speaker 1: or something when the girl gives birth to the baby
- 56:26Speaker 1: that she and somebody are.
- 56:28Speaker 5: So.
- 56:29Speaker 4: I do think it's weird all movies the way that
- 56:31Speaker 4: they reenact like birth. Like a man has to write them.
- 56:34Speaker 4: It's so bizarre.
- 56:35Speaker 1: It's always a birth scene. And it's always like has
- 56:38Speaker 1: to be. And it's like. And sweating. And it's always
- 56:42Speaker 1: like that. And like.
- 56:43Speaker 4: And listen, and the husband's always down there. Let me
- 56:46Speaker 4: tell you where my husband was when I gave birth.
- 56:48Speaker 4: He's in the corner on his laptop working and I
- 56:50Speaker 4: have a bunch of friends there and we're laughing.
- 56:53Speaker 1: People have funny birth stories and I believe everyone has.
- 56:56Speaker 1: Everyone has a birth story. You either came out of
- 57:00Speaker 1: one or you gave one.
- 57:01Speaker 5: Okay.
- 57:02Speaker 1: Every woman has some type of birth story.
- 57:06Speaker 4: Or the baby's like about to drop on the floor
- 57:08Speaker 4: and the doctor's like, you know, like football.
- 57:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 57:11Speaker 1: And weird. Yeah. And yeah, it's always, it's just, yeah,
- 57:15Speaker 1: it's always that. It's like, you know, let's have an
- 57:17Speaker 1: awkward date scene. Let's have a, you know, let's have
- 57:20Speaker 1: a montage of trying on outfits that don't work before
- 57:23Speaker 1: the date. Oh my God. Yes. Let's do a treadmill
- 57:27Speaker 1: where you get distracted and run out of frame, roll
- 57:30Speaker 1: out of frame. Let's, Uh-huh. You know, trip and fall.
- 57:34Speaker 4: And the assistant's always, like, has, like, three bags and
- 57:37Speaker 4: a paper and just trying to, like, gather everything and
- 57:40Speaker 4: chasing and, you know, after the boss. Yeah.
- 57:43Speaker 1: Yeah. Show the real assistant who's just, like, doing TikToks
- 57:47Speaker 1: in the corner. And like, she's like, excuse me.
- 57:52Speaker 4: Or the boss is making the assistant do TikTok. Like, no, okay,
- 57:55Speaker 4: now make it like a boss lady vibe.
- 57:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 57:58Speaker 1: That's what's going on in corporate America. I don't know. Like,
- 58:01Speaker 1: I just really was like, just talk to me. If
- 58:03Speaker 1: you really go to an office and also a 50-year-old
- 58:06Speaker 1: woman who's that hot and has run this business for
- 58:09Speaker 1: years and it's the same people she sees every day
- 58:12Speaker 1: at the office, is she really wearing uncomfortable heels 10
- 58:16Speaker 1: hours a day?
- 58:17Speaker 3: No.
- 58:18Speaker 1: Maybe she goes to court maybe there's something but like
- 58:22Speaker 1: really yeah but that it's okay it's a movie okay
- 58:26Speaker 1: it's a movie it's supposed to take us out of
- 58:28Speaker 1: reality and we get to do it and i i
- 58:32Speaker 1: saw one clip where she's in a bikini.
- 58:35Speaker 4: And a monochromatic look too i love them yes i
- 58:38Speaker 4: love it and i'm always like why don't i work for.
- 58:40Speaker 1: What she they i i don't know i skipped ahead
- 58:43Speaker 1: they're like on the beach and he has good abs.
- 58:47Speaker 4: And she's general counsel is with his client maybe they're
- 58:50Speaker 4: dating at this point i'm skipping forward but she's wearing
- 58:53Speaker 4: a string bikini triangle top her abs are ridiculous and
- 58:57Speaker 4: she's like with him.
- 59:00Speaker 1: And she goes oh look at me i've got sand
- 59:03Speaker 1: on my butt and you know i'm such a mess
- 59:06Speaker 1: she has the best body ever and he goes i
- 59:08Speaker 1: wish i wish in the office could see the real you.
- 59:13Speaker 1: The real you that's in a bikini with sand on
- 59:15Speaker 1: her asshole. Like, where's the HR department? What? I have
- 59:20Speaker 1: not finished it. So some of the things might get answered.
- 59:24Speaker 1: It is the number one movie in America. So... Well,
- 59:26Speaker 1: God bless for her. And we do love her dress.
- 59:28Speaker 1: I love that outfit. I love it. In this outfit,
- 59:29Speaker 1: she's wearing all black and she looks fucking stunning. So good.
- 59:32Speaker 1: Good for her. Kris Jenner posted this video of where
- 59:37Speaker 1: it looks like she's at one of her mansions and
- 59:41Speaker 1: she's walking through and Ellen, someone's filming it. Some assistant
- 59:47Speaker 1: was told to have to film a prank that Ellen
- 59:50Speaker 1: did for 15 years.
- 59:50Speaker 3: Yes.
- 59:53Speaker 1: And Kris Jenner's walking down the hall and then Ellen
- 59:56Speaker 1: jumps out and scares her. And then she's like, you're
- 59:59Speaker 1: such an asshole. Why did you do that? And then
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: Kris Jenner wrote, at Ellen DeGeneres, still at her shenanigans,
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: it never gets old. And I want to say, yeah,
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: it does. It does get old. It does get old.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: That's real old. It was really old and really lame.
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: And if you want to do it, Ellen, for fun,
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: I would say don't film it. It's weird. Don't film
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: it because nobody liked it when you used to do it.
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: Why was Chris surprised if there's an assistant in front
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: of her filming her walking? Wouldn't she expect something's going
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: to happen?
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: I don't know. Do you know.
- 1:00:37Speaker 6: What I mean?
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: Listen, Chris is a great actress, too.
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: This is the work that assistants in America are having
- 1:00:42Speaker 4: to do right now.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: They have to do a lot of TikToks and videos. Yeah. Anyway,
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: Ellen is obviously back.
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: Unless.
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: I don't know. Is this a ship? Maybe this is
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: a ship. Maybe they're on the Scientology ship? No, maybe
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: this is like the Jeff Bezos ship and they're all
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: on it. Or this could be her house in La Quinta.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: I don't know. But they're still great friends. And she
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: is back in America. Yeah. And... people but a lot
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: of comments were just i love your friendship we need
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: ellen back on tv i don't think so no certainly
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: not tv yeah but you know the pranks are still
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: happening michael jackson the verdict now listen even talking about
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: this show will create people writing nasty things in my
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: comment section on youtube and on the podcast However, it's
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: a big deal. It's a show on Netflix. It came
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: out June 3rd. It's about the trial and that happened in,
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: was it 2003? Yeah. He already had his three children.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: I had to look up the timeline because there were
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: other accusations prior to that in which there was a
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: 20 plus million payout. 23 million. 23 million. And that
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: person named Jordan was his name. He is since estranged
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: from his mother, and there's another YouTube or smaller documentary
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: where this girl is saying, I went to college with him,
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: and he said this had never happened or whatever the case.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: So the fans of Michael Jackson truly believe that. He's
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: always been innocent. They're the same people that saw him
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: spin on the top of the car with his umbrella.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: And they, and, you know, why is this coming out now?
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: Since he's had the biggest movie about his career, which
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: never touched on any of these accusations. And, you know,
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: so you watch it and they go to the Michael,
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: what's his name, Bashir? Martin Bashir. Martin Bashir. Martin Bashir. Bashir,
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: who did the, incredible life with Michael Jackson where he
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: was up in the tree and saying all these things
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: and then they interview Michael with this one kid named
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: Gavin who was very sick with cancer somehow they were
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: able to get in touch with Michael Jackson and he
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: said we will make sure that he gets the best
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: care and he gets better and this family was living
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: in a one bedroom apartment then were very close to
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: him and in this clip, it shows the boy putting
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: his head on Michael's shoulder and saying, um, you know,
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: he said, you know, if you really love me, you
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: have to sleep in the bed with me. And Michael's laughing.
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: And he goes, so I slept in the bed with
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: him and everything. Now that was edited. So in my research,
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: they said this, the whole clip says, um, I wanted
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: to sleep in the bed with Michael, and Michael kept saying, no,
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: I'll sleep on the floor. And then he goes, well,
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: then I'll sleep on the floor. And then Michael said,
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: if you really love me, you'll sleep on the bed,
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: and I'll sleep on the floor. Why are they even
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: in the same bedroom? Exactly. Exactly. And why after? Now,
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: if you already got screwed over by this little, cute,
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: kid that dressed like you and you took a fondness
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: from him and you took him on trips and you
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: had him spin around everything. And that awful parent came
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: to you and in order to get out of this mess,
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: you gave that family $ 23 million. After that, why wouldn't
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: anybody in their right mind go, I love kids. I
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: love opening my house to Neverland. And I will do
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: that for sick kids, but I can never be alone
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: with them. And I can never, I don't want them
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: in the main house. I don't want them spending the night.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: I don't want to, just like, just like there was
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: a time when women would be able to go to
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: the gyno. And if it was a male doctor, he,
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: it would just be you and the male doctor. Over time,
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: you got to have a nurse to protect you, to
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: protect the doctor. Cub Scouts, you cannot be with a
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: child that's not yours alone. Yep. At any moment, you're
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: going to bring another adult over to protect yourself. More
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: and more people are not having sleepovers to protect their
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: own kids, but also to protect themselves. Who's to say
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: that some kid's not going to spend the night and
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: come home and say, I woke up and the dad
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: of the house was, and then your life is fucking ruined.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: So I get it. This was still 20 years ago,
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: but you already had one incident which you just gave
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: $ 20 million away. The other thought is, That he had
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: the catalog of the Beatles and Sony wanted it or something.
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: And all this was orchestrated. It's like some conspiracy. To
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: screw him over from Sony. It is. But I mean,
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: two things can be true. You know, you can be
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: a like freaking freak and be weirded, weird, look weird.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: Be super into kids. Invite them to spend the night
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: with you. And maybe you never touched him. Maybe you
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: showed them dirty photos. Maybe you put on little twinkly
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: lights and drank milk, but you never touched him is
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: what he said. The other part is some of them
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: you did touch. Some of them you didn't. Maybe you
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: never touched Macaulay Culkin because he was a professional actor.
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:06:42Speaker 4: I think it's really it's the most interesting part to
- 1:06:45Speaker 4: me is just celebrity and trials and how jurors.
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: They were starstruck for sure. And again, blaming the kid
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: that now you're changing your story and this isn't true.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: And I've never heard I heard the Breakfast Club talk
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: about it. And the one boy said in his first
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: initial telling what happened to him. to the detective which
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: looked very real to me um he said he used
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: the word that michael said i'll show you how to
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: do it and then he like masturbated him and someone
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: in the brooks club was like i never heard a
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: kid use that word before how many kids have you
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: heard talk about child abuse like how you know what
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: i mean like i get it i just think it's.
- 1:07:32Speaker 4: Really hard for people to sometimes equate a celebrity with
- 1:07:38Speaker 4: doing something wrong.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: Like, they can't accept it. It's just a very... You know,
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: the two... The Wade Robs... Robinson? Wade Robson. Robson and the... James.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: Other guy that was leaving Neverland, that documentary from a
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: few years ago, they do have a trial coming up.
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: They are going to be... I did interview the producers
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: of that documentary. Like, years ago. Yeah. Listen, you know...
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: I just don't think it's, you know, it's, I get
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: why when you hear all the things, okay, you know,
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: these parents were not wealthy. They, you know, but also
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: he would seek out families that really needed help and care.
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: And you, how many people have like, people thought their
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: daughter was going to be the next protege of R.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: Kelly and shit like that. People can be bad parents
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: and it wasn't a strategic thing. You go make friends
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: with Michael Jackson. And then our plan is in a
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: few years, we're going to say this happened. And it's,
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: it's awful. I just don't understand why anyone around him
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: after that would be like, I don't care that you
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: like children. Well, maybe they did. You're not allowed to
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: like them anymore. Maybe they did, but he just didn't listen.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:09:00Speaker 4: People who have a lot of money, they kind of
- 1:09:02Speaker 4: do what they want.
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: It's just any adult, like, and then he had the
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: three kids. So he was a single father with three
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: kids at home. And he was still spending all this
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: time with other kids that were not his. You don't
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: think that's weird?
- 1:09:19Speaker 4: I think the best person to kind of ask about
- 1:09:22Speaker 4: at this point, I would love to interview or to
- 1:09:25Speaker 4: have somebody interview Paris Jackson.
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: She, I mean, everybody in the Jackson family that's, you know,
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: of course they believe their father. They also don't want
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: anything to sorry, upset their money and their protege and
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: his books are selling, his music's doing better. The money
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: is totally flowing. And so they feel like every time
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: we get into a better place with the memory of
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: Michael Jackson, Netflix has to go put on this piece
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: of shit, which makes you wonder if it's true or not,
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: which someone goes, what is this dumb documentary? Well, I
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: think that's good. That's a fair assessment. How will we
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: ever really know? You know, how will we ever really know?
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: But it's very weird.
- 1:10:08Speaker 4: The point of this, too, was I think there is
- 1:10:11Speaker 4: an attempt for us to revisit a bunch of trials.
- 1:10:14Speaker 4: And in this case, it was closed door. So it's
- 1:10:18Speaker 4: similar to looking back at like a Menendez case, although
- 1:10:21Speaker 4: that was in front of cameras. But just looking through
- 1:10:24Speaker 4: a modern lens.
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: The other part is they really would. And I think
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: we talked about this, too. everybody around him, whether it
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: was the housekeeper or this or that, would act like
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: he was a child himself and a vulnerable person. And
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: Michael's so sweet and so nice, and he doesn't know
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: any better. And how could people trick him into thinking
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: that these- Well, you can't be two things at one time.
- 1:10:47Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:10:47Speaker 4: You can't be like a genius in business, but then
- 1:10:50Speaker 4: be like a child at home. I think that those
- 1:10:53Speaker 4: are in conflict.
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: With each other. I remember when I was writing with
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: Keanu Reeves, he told me, That he hung out, this
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: is my memory, that he was hanging out with Michael
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: Jackson one day and he spoke in a normal voice.
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: He did not have that, hi, voice. He was like, oh,
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: and like had a normal voice. Like just like as
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: Paris Hilton has a normal voice. And so I don't
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: know if that little voice is because he wanted to
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: be childlike. Well, sometimes that voice. And he was so
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: obsessed with that.
- 1:11:24Speaker 4: Sometimes that voice is from somebody who was abused as
- 1:11:27Speaker 4: a child too.
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: Listen, we all can agree he was. you know, had
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: a hard, very hard child, childhood and all that. And
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: then I just feel like, you know, and I think
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: like at first we thought it was cute. Like he
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: would discover a kid that was dancing like him with
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: a hat. And he was like, this kid is the cutest.
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: But then there were several kids like that. And they
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: were going on trips with him and you know, and
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: all this other stuff. And then to the single mom
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: and that didn't have the money, they're like, oh my God,
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: we're going on tour with Michael Jackson and he's so
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: sweet and so great. And then, but that, oh, and
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: the weirdest thing in it was there was this bag
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: of material that his former assistant, who also was a
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: little kid that used to hang out with him, shared
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: that had these It was like an old fashioned magazine
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: where you could order from like overseas tapes of like
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: dads and sons bathing and things like that. And now
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: someone could say, who even knows if that's true? And
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: someone could have made that up and someone could have
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: taken that magazine and made that. I get all that.
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: But I'm just saying it's a TV show. This is
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: what's on. This is what people are talking about. People
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: are mad that we're talking about it. And, you know,
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: but it is fast. I mean, it is a fascinating
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: story and how good the attorneys were and the conspiracies
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: around it. And, you know, the lessons that can be learned.
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: His attorney was Alan Jackson, right? The guy with like
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: the long gray hair. Yeah, right. Yeah.
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:13:16Speaker 4: So and Brian, he had a publicist that represented Brian, right?
- 1:13:22Speaker 4: I'm like going back in time. He would always go
- 1:13:24Speaker 4: on Larry King and talk on his behalf.
- 1:13:27Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: I mean, there's just so many people and anybody could
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: say anything. There's a maid that came on in some
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: other interview I saw that, you know, in the comments
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: are like, oh, she, you know, went to the tabloids
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: instead of the police. And she was basically saying like, listen,
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: I was an adult woman. I was scared to speak
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: up because this job was important to me. Now imagine
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: a young child that also he's saying, if you tell
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: I'll never work again. I'll never be able to make
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: music again and your family will suffer. You know, so
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: just like anybody that's being molested by an adult, but
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: then to have that adult be the most beloved person
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: singer in the world that has given you so many
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: beautiful things and helped you get out of cancer, that
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: then if something nefarious happened after that, like anybody else,
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: oftentimes you don't tell for a long time. So I
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: hate all those comments. Why now? Well, whatever. And listen,
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: Netflix is here to make money. So this is a
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: good timely time to bring it out. Like I said,
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: I think it is important to go back into all
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: these trials.
- 1:14:29Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: It's very interesting. So this is another show. This is
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: from your thing. It says, your friend, Kate Casey, the
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: new cult doc. This is the, what is it called?
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: All the Beautiful People or something?
- 1:14:43Speaker 4: It's called Bring Me the Beauties, a model cult. It's
- 1:14:45Speaker 4: on HBO and Max. It's three episodes.
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: And the net net is this guy with the parrot was.
- 1:14:53Speaker 4: his name was Freddie Myers, but then he changed his
- 1:14:55Speaker 4: narrative to Frederick Von Mears.
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: He was like from Brooklyn.
- 1:14:59Speaker 4: And he would then later told people that he was
- 1:15:01Speaker 4: raised by some wealthy benefactor.
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: Like he completely rewrote his life, gets his, like weasels
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: his way into like eighties, like society.
- 1:15:11Speaker 4: And he becomes everyone's astrologer. And then he becomes this
- 1:15:16Speaker 4: cult leader where all of these people would come to him.
- 1:15:18Speaker 4: And because he said that he basically was 37 light
- 1:15:24Speaker 4: years ahead of them, ahead of all of us, because
- 1:15:28Speaker 4: he had been affected by Arcturon, which is like some star.
- 1:15:32Speaker 4: It's like, I'm like, did you pick this from a
- 1:15:35Speaker 4: book or just make this up? And anyway, so they
- 1:15:39Speaker 4: all believe in him, and then he's selling astrology packages,
- 1:15:43Speaker 4: but you have to give all your money over to him.
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: It's like, you know, all the other cult docs. Yeah,
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: it's all the other cult docs. It's where, you know,
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: we're one big happy family, but then you've got to
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: tell on each other.
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:15:53Speaker 4: And then you've got to all berate one person. First,
- 1:15:55Speaker 4: he wouldn't let them have relationships and no one was
- 1:15:58Speaker 4: allowed to have sex. But then he would say, okay,
- 1:16:00Speaker 4: you have to have sex with this person. So Hoyt,
- 1:16:03Speaker 4: who I interviewed, who was like the most famous male
- 1:16:06Speaker 4: model in the 1980s, he said he wasn't allowed to
- 1:16:09Speaker 4: have a relationship. And then it would be like, okay,
- 1:16:10Speaker 4: you have to have sex with this person. And he'd
- 1:16:12Speaker 4: be like, she's like my sister. Well, you have to
- 1:16:14Speaker 4: have sex with her. And then they found out later
- 1:16:16Speaker 4: that he didn't want anybody to have sex. And then
- 1:16:19Speaker 4: he would tell them who to have sex with. And
- 1:16:20Speaker 4: then he is like sleeping with people. So, you know,
- 1:16:24Speaker 4: it's like Keith Raniere, you know, you can't have anything
- 1:16:26Speaker 4: but like squash and almonds, but then he's eating junk food.
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: It's like, they're always hypocrites. Yeah. It's, as well, I
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: watched the first episode of it because I think it's
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: only one. Well, yeah, it comes out once a week.
- 1:16:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: And I'm going to be honest, I don't know. But
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: he gets the hotties. Does he get better? Because I
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: wasn't in love with this one.
- 1:16:47Speaker 4: The second one, you learn more about like his banana, like,
- 1:16:51Speaker 4: belief system and just the building of the cult. I mean,
- 1:16:55Speaker 4: on paper, it sounds so asinine, but then you start
- 1:16:58Speaker 4: to realize that it was a slow burn.
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: As someone who, you know, interviews a lot of documentarians
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: and there's a lot of documentaries and I talk about them,
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: but sometimes I'm like, in this one, the first episode,
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: I was like, This is the only interview we ever
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: did was on this weird talk show. And we just
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: keep seeing it over and over again. I know, but
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: that's the scary thing.
- 1:17:21Speaker 4: It's like Hoyt said, the problem was there was no
- 1:17:24Speaker 4: information on him. Now, like if there's a cult leader,
- 1:17:27Speaker 4: you know, there's a guy in, you know, some country.
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: Who starts it. So since there was no information. This
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: was like the 80s.
- 1:17:33Speaker 4: He just believes it because that's the narrative. So that
- 1:17:36Speaker 4: is the scary point is before social media.
- 1:17:39Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: These videos were available. So they believed everything he said.
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: So do you think that Being a cult leader, it's
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: a difficult time economically for a cult leader.
- 1:17:48Speaker 4: It's hard, especially if you're going to change your name.
- 1:17:50Speaker 4: I think you're right. You just have to go be
- 1:17:53Speaker 4: a life coach, I think.
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: I think so. And just get individual people and not
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: put them all in the same house. No. And not
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: get them tennis shoes and say they're going to go
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: to Heaven's Gate or anything like that. Remember when you
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: wore the shoes? I know. That really scared you. Today,
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: you confluent in my shoes here. Yeah. These are Target, everybody.
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: They're super cute. I'm going to get them. Okay. Hopefully
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: they're still there. You know, that's like the target. I'm
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: just like, I'll get there and then there's like a
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: drop and I'm like shaking. And then I'm like, do
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: I go tell everybody or do I not go tell everybody?
- 1:18:25Speaker 4: My daughter, my oldest, woke up one day at 5 a.m.
- 1:18:28Speaker 4: to go to the Roberta Roller Target Drop. I was like,
- 1:18:33Speaker 4: is it worth it? Like, I'm going to be honest,
- 1:18:34Speaker 4: she brought the stuff home and I was like, not
- 1:18:36Speaker 4: worth it.
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: I think I got a bunch of the champion stuff
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: and I think it's adorable. Do you?
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: Oh, good.
- 1:18:41Speaker 4: Okay.
