Transcript
- 0:02Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to Outspoken. It's your dose of the
- 0:04Speaker 1: hottest influencer and pop culture news twice a week. Coming
- 0:08Speaker 1: up on today's show, Sarah's day's backhanded thank you, Rachel
- 0:13Speaker 1: Finch's bizarre behavior at her daughter's running race, and Abby
- 0:16Speaker 1: Chatfield's semi-soft launch.
- 0:19Speaker 2: But first, influencer.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Chelsea Ivey has negged our hometown of Adelaide. The 23-year-old
- 0:25Speaker 1: made the move to Adelaide late last year after her
- 0:27Speaker 1: AFL player boyfriend, Ivan Soldo, was traded from Richmond to
- 0:31Speaker 1: Port Adelaide.
- 0:32Speaker 2: So at the time, Chelsea ruffled local feathers when she
- 0:35Speaker 2: wrote on Instagram about the move.
- 0:37Speaker 1: To be honest, can't say I ever thought I would
- 0:39Speaker 1: ever move to Adelaide. I've never been to Adelaide before,
- 0:42Speaker 1: so I actually have no idea what to expect. And
- 0:45Speaker 1: I hear so many mixed reviews. It's not forever, but
- 0:48Speaker 1: who knows? I could end up loving it. Excited for
- 0:51Speaker 1: a new chapter and to meet some new people. So
- 0:53Speaker 1: spoiler alert, she did not love it. Just seven months on,
- 0:57Speaker 1: Chelsea announced to her 66,000 followers that she's leaving Adelaide
- 1:01Speaker 1: to live in Dubai by herself. So she is set
- 1:04Speaker 1: to follow in her dreams and be a flight attendant
- 1:06Speaker 1: for Emirates.
- 1:07Speaker 2: I want to know, is there more to this?
- 1:09Speaker 1: Is there a breakup brewing on the horizon or is
- 1:12Speaker 1: he fine with her just jetting off? Well, her followers
- 1:15Speaker 1: did say what is going on with Ivan and she
- 1:18Speaker 1: confirmed that apparently he has no issues with her move
- 1:21Speaker 1: and would do long distance. She wrote, he had to
- 1:24Speaker 1: move to Adelaide for his career. And to be honest,
- 1:26Speaker 1: it's been a struggle for me. It's not just for
- 1:29Speaker 1: me permanently. Temporarily is fine, but long-term in Australia, I
- 1:33Speaker 1: think Melbourne or Gold Coast are for me, maybe even Sydney.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Now I found that interesting because initially back in November,
- 1:39Speaker 1: she said that there was no way she would entertain
- 1:41Speaker 1: doing long distance. I also wonder, how does poor Adelaide
- 1:44Speaker 1: Football Club feel about this?
- 1:46Speaker 2: Because she's basically.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Earmarking it saying Adelaide is not a long-term thing for
- 1:50Speaker 1: me or Yvonne. Yeah, but they're very young. She's only 23.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Potentially this will cause a split. It's a bit of
- 1:57Speaker 1: a slap in the face to the wives and girlfriends
- 1:59Speaker 1: of the Port Adelaide Football Club because they would have
- 2:02Speaker 1: been her designated besties for the last couple of months.
- 2:05Speaker 2: She's just basically gone. This is shit.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Well, maybe they were rubbed up a little bit the
- 2:09Speaker 1: wrong way because She is famous for declaring that she
- 2:12Speaker 1: is the hottest wag after she attended the Richmond Best
- 2:15Speaker 1: and Fairest. I'm kind of excited for her, though, that
- 2:18Speaker 1: she is now focusing on her career and she's making
- 2:20Speaker 1: a big move for her. Why should she stay in
- 2:23Speaker 1: Adelaide if it's not the right decision.
- 2:25Speaker 2: For her career path? Oh, definitely.
- 2:27Speaker 1: I do think it's very refreshing that she is focusing
- 2:29Speaker 1: on her own career. I'm just pissed off for Adelaide
- 2:32Speaker 1: because originally Chelsea's move to Adelaide triggered this war of
- 2:36Speaker 1: words between two high profile newspaper columnists. So there was
- 2:40Speaker 1: a Melbourne-based columnist called Jackie Epstein who questioned whether Chelsea
- 2:44Speaker 1: would be able to settle for the low-energy lifestyle of Adelaide,
- 2:48Speaker 1: whereas Adelaide-based Cara Young hit back labelling Epstein's piece as
- 2:53Speaker 1: a petty little quip and said residents of Adelaide rolled
- 2:56Speaker 1: their eyes and smiled at the poor misconception. So it
- 2:59Speaker 1: is frustrating that I feel like a whole bunch of
- 3:02Speaker 1: journalists from the East Coast have jumped onto this narrative
- 3:05Speaker 1: and saying, oh, yeah, we told you Adelaide is shit.
- 3:08Speaker 2: And all the kids are treating me very nice.
- 3:11Speaker 3: It's great.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Gee, I can't wait till I go to hikes.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Don't you say that.
- 3:17Speaker 4: Don't you ever say that.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Sarah's day divided opinions when she shared an unusual thank
- 3:23Speaker 1: you message to her 1.2 million Instagram followers. The controversial
- 3:28Speaker 1: fitness influencer took a break while cooking with her kids
- 3:31Speaker 1: to to share a written statement saying how grateful she
- 3:34Speaker 1: was for her current work-life balance. She wrote, since having
- 3:37Speaker 1: two kids, I've gotten so much better at balancing life
- 3:40Speaker 1: and work, saying no to opportunities and allowing myself time
- 3:43Speaker 1: to just enjoy being a mom. I truly am so
- 3:46Speaker 1: glad I worked harder than ever from 2013 to 2020,
- 3:50Speaker 1: setting me and my family up with businesses, passive income streams,
- 3:54Speaker 1: and systems to be able to have a work-life balance.
- 3:57Speaker 1: I just want to thank you for supporting me, my channel,
- 3:59Speaker 1: and my projects. Without you, I would have probably been
- 4:02Speaker 1: a primary school teacher and forced to put my kids
- 4:04Speaker 1: into daycare as soon as my maternity leave was up.
- 4:08Speaker 1: I am so, so aware of how lucky I am
- 4:10Speaker 1: and just want to thank you for allowing me to
- 4:12Speaker 1: be what I've always wanted, a stay-at-home mum. I'd love
- 4:15Speaker 1: to unpack Sarah's message a bit more because it caused
- 4:17Speaker 1: such a stir in our Facebook community. So on one hand,
- 4:21Speaker 1: people felt like her thank you was a slap in
- 4:23Speaker 1: the face to primary school teachers as well as working
- 4:27Speaker 1: mums who had no other choice but to send their
- 4:29Speaker 1: children to daycare. while others believed she was simply trying
- 4:32Speaker 1: to thank her followers for giving her the financial freedom
- 4:36Speaker 1: to stay at home with her kids. I want to know,
- 4:38Speaker 1: where do you guys sit on this? I think this
- 4:40Speaker 1: comes down to Sarah's inability to communicate properly with her followers.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Her execution was off.
- 4:46Speaker 1: And because of that, her message opened itself up to interpretation.
- 4:51Speaker 1: And I've always found Sarah's tone on social media to
- 4:54Speaker 1: be quite condescending.
- 4:56Speaker 2: And when you add to the mix, the statement being.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Written rather than voiced, it again added a level of interpretation.
- 5:03Speaker 1: And I'm pretty sure it wasn't her intention to upset
- 5:06Speaker 1: her followers, but I can see how it came across
- 5:09Speaker 1: as backhanded and tone deaf. It kind of seemed like
- 5:12Speaker 1: a bit of a humble brag and an insensitive one
- 5:15Speaker 1: at that, because I think it's quite clear that she
- 5:18Speaker 1: is quite removed and out of touch with her audience
- 5:21Speaker 1: who are working class. And as a country at the moment,
- 5:24Speaker 1: we are in an economic climate where families can no
- 5:27Speaker 1: longer live on just one sole income. And the majority
- 5:30Speaker 1: of Sarah's audience would be working mums who have no
- 5:33Speaker 1: option but to send their kids to childcare.
- 5:35Speaker 2: So it's sort of laying this level of guilt on them.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Oh, well, you're not in this position where you can
- 5:40Speaker 1: be this hands-on stay-at-home mum like me because you didn't
- 5:43Speaker 1: set yourself up. But I don't think she necessarily meant that.
- 5:47Speaker 1: I don't think she meant it how it came across. No,
- 5:49Speaker 1: I don't think she did either.
- 5:50Speaker 3: I actually.
- 5:51Speaker 1: genuinely want to thank my followers for being there for me.
- 5:55Speaker 1: And I think there's also been kind of a bit
- 5:57Speaker 1: of demand from people for Sarah to be a bit
- 5:59Speaker 1: more grateful to her audience.
- 6:01Speaker 2: So I felt like.
- 6:02Speaker 1: She thought she was doing the right thing by putting
- 6:04Speaker 1: up this message and where she's got it wrong is
- 6:06Speaker 1: the diss to school teachers, like acting as if school teachers,
- 6:09Speaker 1: it's the low of the low to have that job.
- 6:11Speaker 2: That's what I took from it.
- 6:13Speaker 1: In terms of this thank you message, it is quite
- 6:15Speaker 1: rare that we hear Sarah thank her followers and And
- 6:18Speaker 1: it did come off the back of her lashing out
- 6:21Speaker 1: at some of her followers recently over fertility comments. So
- 6:25Speaker 1: I think she thought, okay, I've got to put something
- 6:28Speaker 1: out that makes me look grateful.
- 6:29Speaker 2: But again, she's just missed the mark. Back to the.
- 6:32Speaker 1: School teacher comment. I don't think she was trying to
- 6:35Speaker 1: be offensive to school teachers. I think what she does
- 6:37Speaker 1: a lot of the time is she centers only her
- 6:40Speaker 1: experience in it because for a bit of background, in
- 6:43Speaker 1: her early days of YouTube, she was starting to be
- 6:45Speaker 1: a primary school teacher and she ended up dropping out
- 6:48Speaker 1: of uni to pursue her influencing career. So for her,
- 6:51Speaker 1: being a teacher and not following her dream would have
- 6:54Speaker 1: been a step back for her. So she was trying
- 6:56Speaker 1: to center herself in it, but I think she was
- 6:58Speaker 1: unaware of how it came across to people who are
- 7:01Speaker 1: primary school teachers. If I was a primary school teacher
- 7:03Speaker 1: and I read that, I'd be like, fuck off. You
- 7:06Speaker 1: don't even understand- the work that goes into it and
- 7:09Speaker 1: you didn't complete your degree.
- 7:10Speaker 2: That's what I'd be thinking.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Well, coming from two parents who are teachers and I
- 7:15Speaker 1: have the utmost respect for them and their profession and
- 7:17Speaker 1: what they do.
- 7:18Speaker 2: And it is one of the hardest jobs in the world.
- 7:20Speaker 1: And I think if you didn't have this knowledge that
- 7:22Speaker 1: she was training to be a primary school teacher and
- 7:25Speaker 1: almost made it, you'd be like, why is she having.
- 7:28Speaker 2: A crack at teachers?
- 7:29Speaker 1: Yeah. And that's the issue with influencers, because if you
- 7:31Speaker 1: haven't been following her for 10 years, you wouldn't actually
- 7:33Speaker 1: have that presumed knowledge. I do think it's also interesting
- 7:37Speaker 1: that in the space of a year, Sarah has gone
- 7:40Speaker 1: from referring to herself as a CEO of three different
- 7:43Speaker 1: businesses to a stay at home mom. And I do
- 7:46Speaker 1: wonder if this change is due to the trad wife
- 7:49Speaker 1: trend we're seeing currently on TikTok. The trend is linked
- 7:52Speaker 1: to Christianity and Sarah over the last couple of years
- 7:55Speaker 1: has been a lot more vocal about her faith. The
- 7:58Speaker 1: ironic thing is the reality is just like the trad
- 8:01Speaker 1: wife trend on TikTok, these aren't traditional stay-at-home mums because
- 8:07Speaker 1: traditionally mums that stay at home aren't paid and therefore
- 8:11Speaker 1: their role has always been significantly undervalued but Sarah like
- 8:15Speaker 1: the trad wives you see on TikTok like Nara Smith
- 8:18Speaker 1: earn a lot of money from sharing content about their
- 8:22Speaker 1: lives and being mums online so it's ironic that she
- 8:26Speaker 1: thanked her audience for allowing her to be a stay-at-home
- 8:28Speaker 1: mum but then she also said later on oh and
- 8:31Speaker 1: I spent three hours filming myself cooking a lasagna well,
- 8:34Speaker 1: that's your job. I think there would be a lot
- 8:36Speaker 1: of envy from mums at home watching her because she
- 8:40Speaker 1: has the capacity to dip in and out of these projects. And,
- 8:44Speaker 1: you know, if she gets bored of the mum life,
- 8:46Speaker 1: she can jump in and, you know, have a shoot
- 8:49Speaker 1: day where she's filming her own active wear or she
- 8:51Speaker 1: can jump into the kitchen and film it.
- 8:53Speaker 2: She lives this.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Very aspirational life in a beautiful mansion. So I think
- 8:58Speaker 1: that there is already a bit of envy there from
- 9:00Speaker 1: her audience. As you touched on before, Kate, I found
- 9:03Speaker 1: this move away from hustle culture so interesting because as
- 9:06Speaker 1: a society, we were told you've.
- 9:08Speaker 2: Got to work hard, you've got to have a side hustle.
- 9:10Speaker 1: The whole girl boss thing. Yeah, and that was very
- 9:12Speaker 1: much pushed by Sarah and Kurt. And now that it's
- 9:14Speaker 1: become cool to have this slower lifestyle, to put yourself
- 9:18Speaker 1: and your mental health first and your family, now she's saying, oh,
- 9:21Speaker 1: I'm actually not.
- 9:21Speaker 2: The CEO of all these companies. I'm a stay-at-home mom.
- 9:24Speaker 1: I think it's all about her trying to be relatable
- 9:27Speaker 1: to her audience. But what she's overlooked is She isn't
- 9:30Speaker 1: just your traditional stay-at-home mum. She is in a very
- 9:33Speaker 1: privileged position where she can pick and choose what she
- 9:36Speaker 1: does and look after her kids whenever she wants. I
- 9:38Speaker 1: think it comes down to virtue signalling, and unfortunately amongst
- 9:42Speaker 1: this she's also tried to throw in a humble brag,
- 9:45Speaker 1: which hasn't gone down well.
- 9:46Speaker 4: Okay, here we go.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Second downhill. Look in the air, look in the air.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Rachel Finch's behaviour at her eight-year-old daughter's school cross-country running
- 9:56Speaker 1: race has sparked debate. Prior to the race starting, the
- 10:00Speaker 1: former Miss Universe contender was finding it difficult to keep
- 10:03Speaker 1: her emotions under wraps. Let's throw to what she said.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Cross-country time.
- 10:09Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, I think I'm more nervous than violent.
- 10:13Speaker 3: I'm running to the first checkpoint. I'm about to throw up.
- 10:19Speaker 1: I'm going to get all these feelings back up when
- 10:21Speaker 1: I used to do it. Now, if that panting wasn't
- 10:25Speaker 1: bad enough, things got worse when Rachel started filming herself
- 10:28Speaker 1: screaming words of encouragement as she ran behind her daughter
- 10:32Speaker 1: during the race. She captioned the vision on her Instagram story,
- 10:36Speaker 1: Crazy Cam. Let's throw to the audio. Okay, here we go.
- 10:41Speaker 2: Second downhill.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Okay.
- 10:48Speaker 3: Suck in the air.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Suck in the air.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Go, go, go.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Watch the rocks. That's it, Violet.
- 11:01Speaker 4: Well done.
- 11:03Speaker 1: I first saw people talking about this online before seeing
- 11:06Speaker 1: the video. And at first I was like, oh, she's
- 11:08Speaker 1: probably just one of those supportive parents.
- 11:10Speaker 2: But this was next level.
- 11:12Speaker 1: I don't understand how this school let her run behind
- 11:16Speaker 1: her child during the race. Surely it would have been
- 11:18Speaker 1: really off-putting for the other kids. Her daughter ended up
- 11:21Speaker 1: coming 12th out of 100, which is a pretty good achievement. But,
- 11:25Speaker 1: I mean, there would have been a ton.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Of kids coming up from behind her.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Can you imagine the other mums there seeing this video?
- 11:31Speaker 1: They're like, why the hell is she allowed at the
- 11:34Speaker 1: school on the course?
- 11:35Speaker 2: My favourite bit was that she was out of breath,
- 11:37Speaker 2: but she's like, suck it in, come on. keep going.
- 11:40Speaker 1: I mean, good on her for being interested in what
- 11:42Speaker 1: her child's doing, but I don't know.
- 11:44Speaker 2: It just seemed a bit bizarre.
- 11:45Speaker 1: You can imagine when you went to school, like if
- 11:46Speaker 1: you think back, those over the top mums, they'd be
- 11:49Speaker 1: the sort of mums that would be doing their kids' assignments.
- 11:52Speaker 2: Yeah, but come on, it's a little too interested, isn't it?
- 11:54Speaker 1: It seems like she's vicariously living through her child because
- 11:57Speaker 1: this seemed.
- 11:58Speaker 2: To be one of her dreams. Oh, it was very
- 11:59Speaker 2: difficult to watch.
- 12:00Speaker 1: It seems like this kid has a lot of pressure
- 12:02Speaker 1: on her to do well And I'm surprised that you
- 12:05Speaker 1: would go and share this on social media.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Rachel did end up writing an update.
- 12:09Speaker 1: As you said, Sophie, she said that her daughter placed
- 12:11Speaker 1: 12th out of 100 girls and achieved her best time
- 12:14Speaker 1: and best performance. She also wrote, the best I've seen
- 12:17Speaker 1: her try ever. She struggled and wanted to walk, but
- 12:20Speaker 1: overcame it and kept going.
- 12:22Speaker 2: She probably had no choice. If I'm standing there, get up.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Yeah. She then went on to say, it's never about
- 12:26Speaker 1: the placing for us. What we care about is the
- 12:29Speaker 1: commitment to their work and effort. What you put in
- 12:31Speaker 1: is what you get out. So proud of her, had
- 12:33Speaker 1: to hold back a gazillion tears. I would be pretty
- 12:36Speaker 1: pissed off if I was a parent at this school
- 12:39Speaker 1: and I'm at work and yeah, I'm very excited for
- 12:41Speaker 1: my child to be competing in this race. thinking well
- 12:45Speaker 1: no wonder my child didn't poll so well when they've
- 12:47Speaker 1: got the advantage of having their mum there breathing down
- 12:50Speaker 1: their neck telling them to keep going well this isn't
- 12:52Speaker 1: the first time rachel's parenting has been put under the
- 12:55Speaker 1: spotlight last month some of her followers accused her of
- 12:58Speaker 1: giving her children disordered eating labeling her an almond mum
- 13:03Speaker 1: so for those whose tiktok algorithm hasn't served them up
- 13:06Speaker 1: this term yet it is a negative term for a
- 13:08Speaker 1: mum who has bought into diet culture so They normally
- 13:12Speaker 1: have an obsession with healthy eating and body image, and
- 13:15Speaker 1: this usually flows onto the daughter's body image too. Now,
- 13:19Speaker 1: these accusations came off the back of a video Rachel
- 13:22Speaker 1: shared cooking naked burgers for her children. So Rachel used
- 13:26Speaker 1: lettuce cups instead of burger buns. Now, Rachel hit back
- 13:30Speaker 1: labeling the commentary as hilarious and said trolls wouldn't complain
- 13:34Speaker 1: if she fed her kids fast food.
- 13:36Speaker 2: She said, gee whiz, it's.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Funny, you know, they wouldn't blink an eye if I
- 13:40Speaker 1: ordered cheeseburgers and fries from a fast food chain and
- 13:42Speaker 1: put that on the table. But homemade naked burgers full
- 13:45Speaker 1: of vegetables would create psychological damage.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Go figure.
- 13:48Speaker 1: I tend to see where she's coming from with that though,
- 13:52Speaker 1: because that's one meal that's a healthy option. Yeah, but
- 13:56Speaker 1: this is off the back of, so Rachel's personal brand
- 13:59Speaker 1: is very much rooted in the fitness and wellness space.
- 14:03Speaker 1: And she does have her own wellness brand called Kissed
- 14:06Speaker 1: Earth and she sells supplements and powders. And often on
- 14:09Speaker 1: her Instagram story, she is sharing very healthy recipes and
- 14:13Speaker 1: promoting her products at the same time. So maybe it
- 14:15Speaker 1: was this positioning of trying to sell a product.
- 14:17Speaker 2: What's wrong with kids eating healthy?
- 14:19Speaker 1: I mean, I actually do think it's a form of
- 14:21Speaker 1: abuse to only put fast food down your child's mouth. Yet,
- 14:25Speaker 1: as she's saying here, people don't blink an eye at that.
- 14:29Speaker 1: It's difficult because there are some families who are struggling
- 14:32Speaker 1: and they might put stuff on the table for their
- 14:34Speaker 1: kids that might not be as healthy as what Rachel
- 14:36Speaker 1: Finch is able to afford.
- 14:38Speaker 2: But I also agree with you, Sophie.
- 14:39Speaker 1: I can't stand when people shame others for being healthy
- 14:42Speaker 1: and cooking home cooked meals for their kids. It is
- 14:46Speaker 1: tough because a lot of the time it does turn
- 14:48Speaker 1: into mum shaming and people are putting a microscope over
- 14:51Speaker 1: every single thing that the individual does, which is also difficult.
- 14:55Speaker 1: And I think that a lot of families have different rituals. They,
- 15:00Speaker 1: you know, the parents have different backgrounds. So obviously for Rachel,
- 15:03Speaker 1: health and fitness is important to her. Of course, she's
- 15:05Speaker 1: going to be feeding her kids healthy food. I think
- 15:08Speaker 1: TikTok is a clear example of this because on one
- 15:10Speaker 1: side of the algorithm, you've got these videos of mums,
- 15:14Speaker 1: usually American mums, sharing what they're feeding their kid. And
- 15:17Speaker 1: it's like very highly processed food. And they're getting completely
- 15:21Speaker 1: abused in the comment section saying how it's child abuse.
- 15:24Speaker 1: And then you've also got the side of the internet
- 15:26Speaker 1: where Rachel Finch is serving naked burgers to her kids and.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Everyone's like, oh, my God, just let them live. Give
- 15:31Speaker 2: them a real burger.
- 15:33Speaker 4: That photo, we didn't think it was really cock-centric.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Abby Chatfield has taken the humble soft launch up a notch.
- 15:41Speaker 1: While some people share a sneaky photo of their partner's
- 15:44Speaker 1: arm at dinner or their silhouette at the beach, Abby
- 15:47Speaker 1: has shared a photo of her face next to her
- 15:50Speaker 1: boyfriend's crotch.
- 15:51Speaker 2: I do want to point out, he was fully clothed.
- 15:54Speaker 2: He was wearing shorts at the time.
- 15:56Speaker 1: She captioned the photo, semi-soft launch, and she was referencing
- 16:00Speaker 1: both the relationship status and the state of his appendage.
- 16:04Speaker 1: I laughed so much when I saw this photo.
- 16:06Speaker 2: It is so on brand for Abby. Yeah, it's got
- 16:09Speaker 2: her sense of humor all over it.
- 16:12Speaker 1: And the Blue Tick Brigade was out in force to
- 16:14Speaker 1: congratulate her. So MasterChef's Khan Ong wrote, oh my effing God,
- 16:18Speaker 1: oh my effing God, can you send me the full
- 16:21Speaker 1: raging hard launch in the DMs, thanks. Some fans called
- 16:25Speaker 1: the post comedy gold with one saying it's the best
- 16:28Speaker 1: announcement ever and that Abby should try stand-up comedy. While
- 16:32Speaker 1: some questioned whether her partner was indeed semi-soft in the
- 16:35Speaker 1: photo with one writing, why does.
- 16:38Speaker 2: It look hard then?
- 16:38Speaker 1: To which Abby responded, because he has a huge cock.
- 16:42Speaker 1: We talk a lot about influencer soft launches on this podcast,
- 16:46Speaker 1: but I have never seen anything like this. It was
- 16:49Speaker 1: quite divisive. So some followers, of course, were offended by it.
- 16:54Speaker 1: One person labeled it as gross and another accused Abby
- 16:57Speaker 1: of being a bad influence on young girls. Now, Abby,
- 17:00Speaker 1: of course, responded saying, sorry, we're having fun in Mexico
- 17:03Speaker 1: and in love, Chook. She did also respond on her
- 17:06Speaker 1: story shortly after saying that she was shocked by the
- 17:09Speaker 1: response to her post.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Here's what she said. Okay, listen up, everyone. I just
- 17:14Speaker 2: want to clarify something.
- 17:16Speaker 4: That photo, we didn't think it was really cock-centric. We
- 17:19Speaker 4: just thought it was like, I'm Nia. We just, listen, Vanessa,
- 17:26Speaker 4: you've written an article. We really didn't think. That it
- 17:33Speaker 4: was like cock. We just thought it was like a
- 17:34Speaker 4: funny pun because we happened to take a photo of
- 17:37Speaker 4: me next to my boyfriend's. I was horny.
- 17:42Speaker 2: What did you say?
- 17:43Speaker 3: He was horny. He wants everyone to know.
- 17:47Speaker 2: He wants everyone to know that.
- 17:48Speaker 4: He was horny.
- 17:50Speaker 3: Wow.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Well, she didn't leave anything to the imagination just then.
- 17:55Speaker 2: You may be wondering who does the crotch actually belong to?
- 17:58Speaker 2: Or the semi-hard penis that was in the photo.
- 18:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 18:01Speaker 1: So it does belong to Adam Hyde, who is in
- 18:04Speaker 1: Peking Duck, and he releases his music under the name
- 18:07Speaker 1: Kelly Holiday.
- 18:08Speaker 2: So I'm not, do we call him Adam or Kelly?
- 18:11Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Well, she did mention back on her podcast in March
- 18:13Speaker 1: that she had begun dating someone and everyone was trying
- 18:16Speaker 1: to guess. And she was talking about how happy she
- 18:19Speaker 1: was and that she'd actually known him.
- 18:21Speaker 2: For a couple of years.
- 18:23Speaker 1: She has said he's emotionally intelligent and they seem like
- 18:26Speaker 1: a very good pairing. They look like a brother and
- 18:29Speaker 1: sister couple because they are actually.
- 18:31Speaker 2: In a couple of photos together on Abby's Instagram.
- 18:34Speaker 1: So they were hanging out at the Grand Prix and
- 18:36Speaker 1: they looked very cute together. So he has long, thick,
- 18:39Speaker 1: curly hair. They look very similar. Now, Adam did actually
- 18:43Speaker 1: comment under the soft launch photo saying, whose cock is that?
- 18:47Speaker 2: They seem to have the same sense of humour.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Yeah, well, they're clearly having a lot of fun teasing
- 18:51Speaker 1: this relationship. Abby ended up posting a video of her
- 18:54Speaker 1: in her bikinis dancing and miming to a Peking Duck
- 18:57Speaker 1: song and wrote, heard this random song from this random
- 19:00Speaker 1: new EP and felt inspired to create a little something
- 19:03Speaker 1: from Mexico.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Does anyone know the artist? Someone help.
- 19:07Speaker 3: If somebody ever screws you over and then you think
- 19:09Speaker 3: to yourself, oh, my God, He looks so in love
- 19:12Speaker 3: with his next girlfriend. Guys, just patiently sit there because
- 19:15Speaker 3: you know he's going to do the same thing.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Safran Barker has issued a warning to her ex, Louis
- 19:20Speaker 1: Rhys Zamet's new girlfriend. The Chiefs recruit soft-launched his relationship
- 19:24Speaker 1: with the Sports Illustrated model two months after his split
- 19:28Speaker 1: from the British YouTuber. Rather than feeling upset though, Safran
- 19:31Speaker 1: admitted she felt satisfied knowing the woman was set to
- 19:34Speaker 1: receive the same treatment she did. This breakup is the
- 19:38Speaker 1: breakup that keeps on giving. I can't believe they've only
- 19:40Speaker 1: been broken up for two months. So much has gone
- 19:43Speaker 1: on since. And they broke up when Saffron allegedly found
- 19:46Speaker 1: out that Lewis was cheating on her whilst he was
- 19:49Speaker 1: at an NFL game.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Training camp.
- 19:51Speaker 1: And this played out heavily on TikTok with Saffron miming
- 19:55Speaker 1: to breakup songs and her momager, Wendy, going rogue in
- 19:58Speaker 1: the comment section, calling Lewis out.
- 20:01Speaker 2: What we have all been waiting.
- 20:02Speaker 1: For though, is Saffron to drop the dirty details or
- 20:05Speaker 1: receipts on a dating podcast. And so far, she hasn't
- 20:09Speaker 1: gone into exactly what went down. But the cracks do
- 20:13Speaker 1: seem to be forming, though, with news that Lewis has
- 20:15Speaker 1: moved on with another social media star.
- 20:18Speaker 2: It is clear that he has a type.
- 20:19Speaker 1: So his new girlfriend is 23-year-old Zandra Pohl, who has
- 20:23Speaker 1: 1.2 million followers on TikTok. She's most popular for her
- 20:27Speaker 1: Get Ready With Me videos and also for being a
- 20:30Speaker 1: DJ in Miami. Now, I don't know if you've seen her,
- 20:33Speaker 1: but she looks very similar to Saffron. And this couple
- 20:37Speaker 1: have been spotted exploring Lewis's new hometown in Kansas City.
- 20:41Speaker 2: So I'm assuming she is American as well.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Yes, she's from Miami. So they visited an amusement park.
- 20:47Speaker 1: And randomly, their first photo together is them on a
- 20:51Speaker 1: roller coaster.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Which is what you want. They're not usually the most
- 20:53Speaker 2: flattering images, but she did look pretty good.
- 20:55Speaker 1: Didn't he take Saffron to some amusement park over Christmas
- 20:58Speaker 1: time as well?
- 20:59Speaker 2: It seems to be his go-to day. Well, he seems
- 21:01Speaker 2: like a big kid, so that doesn't surprise me.
- 21:04Speaker 1: It's clear that this amusement park wanted to cash in
- 21:06Speaker 1: on the fact that this was going to be the
- 21:08Speaker 1: couple's soft launch.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Well, they made it.
- 21:09Speaker 1: A soft launch because they plastered this image of them
- 21:12Speaker 1: on the roller coaster all over their social media accounts.
- 21:16Speaker 1: And The tour bus company that the couple also travelled
- 21:19Speaker 1: in seemed to want to get in on the action
- 21:21Speaker 1: because they also posted a photo of the pair looking
- 21:24Speaker 1: very loved up on social media. I'd be pissed off
- 21:27Speaker 1: if I was them, especially if I wanted to keep
- 21:30Speaker 1: this relationship under wraps. Yeah, but they were at an
- 21:32Speaker 1: amusement park out in public. They wanted to be seen.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Perhaps they got free tickets and the amusement park said, oh,
- 21:37Speaker 1: can we share your photo? Well, they're definitely getting a
- 21:40Speaker 1: lot of attention for it because the mainstream media have
- 21:43Speaker 1: obviously picked up on this story. And journalists are already
- 21:46Speaker 1: writing stories saying, meet the new Kansas City Chief Players girlfriend.
- 21:51Speaker 2: Now, Zandra is also fresh out of a relationship.
- 21:54Speaker 1: So she was dating a fellow TikToker who was also
- 21:57Speaker 1: a DJ and they broke up after three years together.
- 22:00Speaker 2: So maybe she's just looking to meet new people.
- 22:03Speaker 1: I don't know if this is actually as serious as
- 22:05Speaker 1: everyone's making it out to be. Is there any talk
- 22:08Speaker 1: online about whether the relationship with this girl was crossed
- 22:11Speaker 1: over with Saffron? Because there was so much talk of
- 22:14Speaker 1: Lewis cheating on her over in America. No, I mean,
- 22:17Speaker 1: I think it's clear that the pair have just met
- 22:18Speaker 1: on Raya. He wasn't following her before. I don't think
- 22:21Speaker 1: that this was any sort of overlap because straight after
- 22:25Speaker 1: the breakup, he was moving quickly and sliding into other girls'
- 22:28Speaker 1: DMs and adding new girls and liking.
- 22:30Speaker 2: I think he's just a player. Yeah.
- 22:32Speaker 1: Well, it's quite clear that Saffron originally wasn't very happy
- 22:36Speaker 1: when she found out this news, but she has put
- 22:38Speaker 1: a spin on it on her own dating podcast.
- 22:41Speaker 2: This is what she said.
- 22:43Speaker 3: If somebody ever screws you over and then you think
- 22:45Speaker 3: to yourself, oh my God, he looks so in love
- 22:47Speaker 3: with his next girlfriend and he's this and he's that.
- 22:50Speaker 3: And oh my God, I can't believe he's found someone else. Guys,
- 22:53Speaker 3: just patiently sit there because you know he's going to
- 22:55Speaker 3: do the same thing. You can sit there satisfied knowing
- 22:58Speaker 3: he will do the same thing. Yeah.
- 22:59Speaker 2: Or she will do the same thing to every person.
- 23:02Speaker 1: Now, this was actually in response to a listener question.
- 23:06Speaker 1: But it's fairly obvious that she was inadvertently referring to
- 23:09Speaker 1: the recent news. It's becoming clear that Saffron wants to
- 23:12Speaker 1: set the record straight about this relationship because as soon
- 23:16Speaker 1: as the breakup became public, she was mocked for being
- 23:20Speaker 1: the overly eager one because she got a tattoo with
- 23:23Speaker 1: his initials on it when they'd only been together for
- 23:25Speaker 1: a couple of months. She made this AI video of
- 23:28Speaker 1: their future babies. She was talking about moving to the
- 23:31Speaker 1: US with him. And now I think that she wants
- 23:34Speaker 1: to show that he's actually the one that love-bombed her.
- 23:37Speaker 1: So she has actually put it out there on her
- 23:39Speaker 1: podcast that he was saying that he planned to propose
- 23:43Speaker 1: to her at the six-month mark of their relationship.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Here's what she said.
- 23:47Speaker 3: I was adamant my ex, who I wasn't with for
- 23:50Speaker 3: very long, was going to propose to me very quickly,
- 23:54Speaker 3: wasn't he? And we were together for about six months.
- 23:57Speaker 3: So in my eyes, and I know it's No, seriously.
- 24:02Speaker 3: So when we all got the news we got, it
- 24:04Speaker 3: was a very big.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Shock factor, I can assure you.
- 24:07Speaker 3: Because I thought I was going to at about six months. Well,
- 24:11Speaker 3: to be honest, if he was in the country, I
- 24:13Speaker 3: probably would have been. So I don't know, because I've
- 24:15Speaker 3: always had the attitude of, if you know, you know,
- 24:17Speaker 3: why do you have to wait years? I don't get it.
- 24:19Speaker 3: That was always my attitude.
- 24:21Speaker 1: What a fuck you from Saffron. This made me feel
- 24:24Speaker 1: really sorry for her, especially Sophie, you mentioned all of
- 24:27Speaker 1: the crap she's copped after this breakup. It's obvious that
- 24:30Speaker 1: this guy has been love bombing her and perhaps that's
- 24:33Speaker 1: what he's doing to his new girlfriend. And she wants
- 24:35Speaker 1: the new girlfriend to be aware of just how serious
- 24:38Speaker 1: they were.
- 24:39Speaker 2: She's clearly bothered by it as anyone would be.
- 24:42Speaker 1: Oh, if you think you're going to be marrying the guy,
- 24:44Speaker 1: you know, of course you're going to be pissed off
- 24:46Speaker 1: about it.
- 24:46Speaker 2: And you'd be wanting to stamp your authority over it.
- 24:49Speaker 1: And also to let all the trolls know that you
- 24:52Speaker 1: weren't just reading too much into it. What's the bet
- 24:54Speaker 1: Saffron thought that she was getting proposed to in the Maldives? Because-
- 24:58Speaker 1: her and Lewis had booked a trip and they were
- 25:00Speaker 1: supposed to be celebrating after this training camp that he
- 25:03Speaker 1: was on. And she spoke a lot about in the
- 25:05Speaker 1: lead up to Valentine's Day, how can you believe Lewis
- 25:08Speaker 1: didn't know how to get rose petals in a hotel room?
- 25:12Speaker 2: So it's almost like she had.
- 25:14Speaker 1: This vision in her head of she's getting proposed to
- 25:16Speaker 1: in the Maldives.
- 25:17Speaker 2: It's going to be so picture perfect for TikTok. And
- 25:19Speaker 2: then can you imagine finding out that your partner allegedly
- 25:22Speaker 2: cheated on you?
- 25:23Speaker 1: She's actually taken it quite well. I thought that she
- 25:25Speaker 1: would have been a bit more down in the dumps.
- 25:27Speaker 1: And it looks like she may be moving on with
- 25:29Speaker 1: a German basketball. So fans have spotted her liking and
- 25:33Speaker 1: commenting on Brandon Titch's post.
- 25:36Speaker 2: Did you get excited that his name's Brandon, like your partner?
- 25:38Speaker 1: I did because let's just know I am a big
- 25:41Speaker 1: fan of Saffron Barker. She probably is my favorite influencer.
- 25:44Speaker 2: After Molly Mae. I just love because of the invention
- 25:46Speaker 2: of Raya.
- 25:47Speaker 1: All of these influencers are now dating these international sports players.
- 25:51Speaker 2: Well, I mean, she loves a long distance relationship.
- 25:54Speaker 1: She's in the UK, he's in Germany. That's not too
- 25:56Speaker 1: far away. This could be quite perfect. Well, that's where
- 25:59Speaker 1: we're going to leave things today. If you do want

- 26:16Speaker 2: We pay respect to elders past and present.
