I am just coming back from a four day long, three night long

men's retreat. For those of you that have

listened to me for the last several years, more than the

last several years, but at least the last several years, you know

of a retreat that I am a part of every year.

I have Co founded the retreat and Co host the retreat in the

Blue Ridge Mountains of Appalachia.

I'm not one of those transplants of the North that come and be

like Appalachia. No, I'm not like that.

I I know the people of the land and I know that if you say that,

then there will be hell to pay. It's Appalachia, right?

If you have to think about it, if you look at the word think

If you say Appalachia. So there ain't no A and there

ain't no SH in the beautiful landscape of the southeastern

mountains in our beautiful continent, Appalachia.

It is in Appalachia. It shall always be.

And I have been blessed to return every year at least once,

to partake in a men's retreat. A men's holistic retreat,

Holistic healing. We're going to have to be

talking a little bit about it today.

In the past, when it comes to this retreat, there have been, I

have facilitator, I have hosted video sort of like, I guess you

could say like town halls or platform, you know, like we host

almost annual things about this, this retreat.

So what I'm talking about is the Fire on the Mountain Men's

Retreat. Fire in the Mountain exists and

has existed for the last five years in varying capacities and

in varying ways as a men's retreat and leadership summit.

In the past we have talked about it as a men's spiritual retreat

and leadership summit, an opportunity for men of varying
9:43
walks of life to come and attend a four day long, three night

long. So four days and three nights,

pretty, pretty primitive camping sort of situation.

And you know, we're again, we're not like roughing it, you know,

20 miles into the mountains. We are in a very primitive

landscape with modern amenities available to us, but we are very

much connected to nature and the spirit of nature and the spirit

of the land is vibrant and existing and present and awake

and aware of our presence. For those men that have come so

over the last five years, this year being 2025 being the 5th

annual Fire on the Mountain, pretty auspicious, kind of a big

deal. You know, whenever you talk

about anniversaries, you know, to anything, whether it be

relationships, places that you've worked, anything like

that, like you, we, we, we count auspicious and and memorable
10:50
times quite often around that, that multiple.

So here we are in the 5th year and we have brought a wonderful

and culminated way. We, we converged this year's

event. We, we, we met, we did the

thing. We did the damn work.

It's not the last time you're going to hear that.

Maybe the first time you're hearing it in this space and in

this way. But it ain't the first time that

you've heard it perhaps, and it won't be the last time we did

the damn work. And we are doing the damn work.

But the fifth year of Fire in the Mountain have or has

converged. We've culminated this year's

auspicious event through a lot of shared experiences.

Men from varying walks of life converge every year for Fire on

the Mountain. And one of the things, one of

the beautiful things that has, I guess, been brought to the
11:57
awareness of the founding fires of Fire on the Mountain is that

you know, this, this event, this retreat, this summons, you know,

this convergence of men from varying walks of life is not so

much a moment in time as it is a pinnacle that one reaches not

just one, but that men reach a convergence again, a, a, a

summit. You, you, you have traversed the

trails, you have climbed the caverns, you have swam and flown

through the veins of our beautiful earth, through the

rivers, through the Airways, through the mountain roads.

And we have converged and we have come every year to arrive

at this beautiful assembly that we call Fire on the mountain.

And the beautiful awareness that has come to the founding fires

is that it is the the pinnacle. There's something that exists or

that should exist in men year round, you know, daily, weekly,

monthly, quarterly and then annually the things that men are

needing to approach and needing to attend to.

Fire in the Mountain has always been a men's spiritual retreat,

a men's leadership summit. And it's not to take away from

the beauty and the power of the feminine divine and the fluidity

of identity. It is designed to be a stable,

strong, resilient and comforting presence from men.

Strong men are powerful men. Strong men are loving men.

Strong men are beautiful men. It is a men's retreat and what

we've come to as the founding fires and as the collective of

men that have attended this year's, the the 5th year Fire on

the Mountain is to, is to approach this as a again, a

summit, a convergence, the pinnacle of an institution, of

an establishment, of an order, of a established, constructed,

very well ordered place for men to come and be present with
14:50
their not just spiritual health, but their mental health, their

physical health, their emotional health.

So a sort of collective, A holistic men's retreat that

reaches its pinnacle at Fire in the Mountain, but that builds up

over the year to lay down the foundation.

So Fire in the Mountain going forth will be a retreat, an

event, a a, a, a place that men seeking to establish, or not

necessarily establish, but to approach and to become one with

their mental, physical, spiritual and emotional health.

There is an order, there is an institution in place.

I'm speaking about this now on this platform and I'm not

spilling the beans as it were right now yet because this is

not just my story to tell. This is not just my voice.

I am a founder. I am a Co founder.

I am a Co host and with that Co existence, that Co hostness,

that Co founding this right there is there is a partner,

there is a collaborator, there is a shared spirit that comes

reintegrate into a life and into a space that is outside that.

But when, when the work is done and when one steps out of that

normality to be reintegrated into that becomes challenging.

So I'm happy to, to say that, you know, I haven't been as

responded to. And I'm not sorry for that.
