  keep acting like it's really cold for the month of September.

  Subject matter of the day is something that I witnessed with

  my own eyes and I really liked what I witnessed.

  I went racing on Saturday right here in Pevely, MO and Federated

  Auto Parts Raceway Park actually is kind of a compound meaning to

  have a really nice dirt track. They had, they don't have it
• 1:51
  anymore, but they had a drag strip, you know, a good local
• 1:55
  drag strip. And then they had a WK World
• 1:59
  Karting Association. They had a really nice go Kart

  track. Well, the drag strip is gone,

  but the go Kart track has kind of just kind of been sitting,

  but looks really good. No grass grown up, you know, the
• 2:17
  paving looks good. And I always saw why don't they
• 2:21
  do anything with that? Why don't they create more
• 2:23
  income? Why don't they keep it going?

  So the new owner, Josh Carroll, I guess they got a phone call

  from the the the drifting group, you know, the the cars, you
• 2:37
  know, with the Oklahoma tires. And hey, Wallace, do that again.

  OK, you know where the here's the wall.

  It's like, OK, in drifting, how do you score points?

  So anyway, I'm pulling in Saturday around 3 O clock.

  I don't know, 4 O clock for the dirt races.

  And there must be over 100 cars there.

  They, they go through one or two sets of tires and they are, they

  are drifting. They're ever living asses off.

  And I'm like, well, I'll be damned here.

  I would go past that. What I consider a smaller type

  go Kart track, but these Drifters ain't know what they're

  doing. They drifted the hell out of
• 3:32
  that go Kart track. I mean, they were happy as hell
• 3:35
  and it was a huge event. So I've always believed in cross
• 3:43
  marketing. In other words, you know, NASCAR
• 3:47
  racers going to the drag races, drag racers going to the NASCAR
• 3:53
  races, asphalt racers coming to a dirt track, dirt racers going
• 3:57
  to an asphalt. I've, I've always believed in

  that. You know, Tony Stewart's been,

  you know, World News here lately.

  And Tony does it all. And the drag racers say, you

  know, John Force, Don the Snake, Predoma, I've had him on Kenny
• 4:14
  Conversation lately and they say Tony Stewart has been really
• 4:18
  good for NHRA. So it's a good thing cross
• 4:22
  marketing. So anyway, we pull in there on

  Saturday and all of a sudden there's atmosphere at Federated
• 4:31
  Auto Parts Raceway Park. There's a lot of atmosphere.

  There's 27 cars in my class. It was a big vibe, 100 hundred
• 4:40
  and something cars. As the night went on, I just
• 4:46
  took a look at the grandstands and it was one of the biggest
• 4:48
  local crowds I've ever seen at our racetrack at in Pevely, MO
• 4:57
  And I thought to myself, wow, that's pretty incredible.

  Well, the next day I go up to Quincy and Jimmy Deering.
• 5:05
  Jimmy is in charge of time and scoring, but Jimmy also is a
• 5:10
  race director. Jimmy goes up to Quincy and he
• 5:13
  runs the races. He's the guy in our ear telling
• 5:16
  us what to do. So we're up there, Quincy and
• 5:20
  and Jimmy comes over to my my truck and trailer.
• 5:24
  We get the bullshit a little bit.
• 5:26
  And I said, man, how about that drifting a race?
• 5:30
  I said that was incredible. And he's the one that told me
• 5:33
  goes, Oh, yeah, over 100 cars. They go through two sets of
• 5:37
  tires. And I said, boy, there was good
• 5:39
  vibe. I said just coming in.
• 5:41
  I said there was lots of going on.
• 5:42
  I said I liked it. He goes, yeah.
• 5:44
  And most of them stayed to watch the dirt races.

  Bingo, There it is. Ah, I like that most of them
• 5:57
  stayed to watch the dirt race because I thought to myself,

  that is one of the bigger crowds I've ever seen here for a local
• 6:04
  race. Definitely look like, you know,
• 6:08
  Peevely holds like 7000. Peevely's got big grandstands.

  There's grandstands all the way around.

  It holds 7000 people. That's one of the most in dirt
• 6:17
  racing. That's why the World of Outlaw
• 6:19
  Sprint cars, that's why they like going to Peevely because it
• 6:22
  holds a lot of people and they pack them in there for that
• 6:25
  World of Outlaw race. So what's the moral of the story
• 6:30
  here, Herman? Sometimes to make things more
• 6:34
  exciting, you know, here lately, everybody's been taking
• 6:37
  shortcuts. You know, they've been going,
• 6:39
  hey, come watch the NASCAR race and by the way, Gretchen Wilson
• 6:42
  going to be playing before the race and then after the race
• 6:46
  we're going to have another superstar.

  You know, they're they're getting these And now listen,
• 6:51
  I'm having fun with y'all. They're getting these fake
• 6:54
  crowds at the races. They're saying we got a race
• 6:58
  going on, but we got all these big concerts going on.

  Well, if you get a sponsor to pay for the concert and and they

  don't take no money away from the auto race, well, it's a it's
• 7:10
  a hell of a show now. Fair Berry.

  They, you know, they bring in, you know, concerts and, you

  know, during the Prairie Dirt Classic and then they do
• 7:20
  something after the Prairie dirt classic.

  So the moral story is, is think about it, you know, there

  there's nothing wrong with a driftings a bit driftings as big

  as a NASCAR. Oh yes, it's like an underground
• 7:37
  sport. I like I told you a couple weeks

  ago, I was over there at Suzuka Circuit Japan, buddy.

  That's where it all started over there in Japan.
