- 0:07Now broadcasting from the next-gen conservative studio in
- 0:12Sunny South Florida, bringing you the latest in politics
- 0:16current events and pop culture. This is he's the Whitfield
- 0:20Report with Sam Whitfield. Alrighty, as always Rumble was a
- 0:38bit slow and it's delay. But we are here So welcome to
- 0:45the show everyone how are nothing but high energy takes
- 0:51tonight baby. I am exhausted.
- 0:55No, I I, you know, it's been a it's been a rainy day so it's
- 1:03kind of in like it's been a Jeb Bush type day here, kind of low
- 1:08energy but just sit back with the bowl of guacamole and chill,
- 1:13man. Hopefully, we have less
- 1:17technical difficulties than remote connection problem wrong.
- 1:23Well, we're not using Twitter spaces, so thank God.
- 1:28Yeah, yeah. We were just off are talking
- 1:30about that and I was pointing out the stupidity of Twitter
- 1:33spaces because I would use them, but you have to use your phone
- 1:38you if you can listen on desktop but you can't speak you can't
- 1:43even ask for permission to speak.
- 1:45Well Max Max. Its new technology to have a
- 1:47service that you can use on your phone and a computer, you know.
- 1:50Yeah Google Hangout. It never existed, right?
- 1:55I love because they never call Twitter website.
- 1:57Either they call it a nap even Elan does that?
- 1:59And it's like yeah. Okay if you want if he wants to
- 2:04do media and broadcasts on Twitter, which he stated his
- 2:09intent, let me use a Lon you want motherfucker.
- 2:13These cords, he's chords right here.
- 2:17Indicate that this is an analog audio microphone.
- 2:22Okay. Let me use this on a Twitter
- 2:25space so it sounds like it doesn't sound like I'm talking
- 2:29through a layer of static and it doesn't unmute on accident when
- 2:34I accidentally fucking ass press my phone and it doesn't Echo
- 2:40when I do unmute because I'm listening because you're
- 2:43listening on the phone as well as speaking on it herder audio
- 2:48101. Hey Ilan, why don't you ask some
- 2:50fucking audio? People some radio people.
- 2:53Um, podcast people, some live streaming people how to set it
- 2:58up, but I don't expect that because he likes to use it on
- 3:01his fellow. You see like Facebook live, I'm
- 3:05going live, right? You'll see some crazy shit
- 3:08because normies will just stream, like insane nonsense,
- 3:11right? The single mom puts the camera
- 3:14on. You know what I mean?
- 3:15You see the baby in the background like playing with
- 3:19live, electrical wires or whatever?
- 3:21Right. You're just like, but won't
- 3:22crack. Yes, he's tour.
- 3:23King, right. Hera thing is that you can't,
- 3:26you don't get that on Twitter live.
- 3:28It's just not the vibe. So I don't see the point in
- 3:31making it such a phone oriented thing to the point where you
- 3:36can't fucking stream on a desktop computer, especially
- 3:40when the point of it has largely become a place where people who
- 3:45have some notoriety or importance, go to speak, like,
- 3:50you know, a presidential fucking announcement.
- 3:53Right now and I'm all, I'm okay with them.
- 3:56Keeping it Audio Only which prevents that kind of trashy
- 4:00stream that you're talking about for the most part because
- 4:03they'll just stream their phone and take the video camera off of
- 4:06it. It's great for it to be an audio
- 4:09open. Kind of form.
- 4:10Anybody can join you and I that's that's our bread and
- 4:13butter. That's what we came from in this
- 4:15internet, shit is open Panel type stuff.
- 4:18Yeah. Shmuly, I mean, but all right.
- 4:22I need to be able to use audio equipment that isn't my phone.
- 4:27Hmm, that's all I ask. Well, the other thing too is
- 4:31like, even as a listener like okay the Twitter the Twitter
- 4:36files is is a perfect example of this, right?
- 4:40Because The Twitter files, the initial Hangouts for those would
- 4:47go for like two or three hours at a time and I swear to God at
- 4:53some point, like someone on the panel was there was saying oops,
- 4:56I'll be right back guys, got to go plug in my phone you know
- 5:02because I because I'm doing a long form of audio thing that's
- 5:05taking up juice on my phone. Well it's like that's not going
- 5:10to change. If you open it up to People Like
- 5:13Us, right, there's still going to be people doing that and then
- 5:16it's not going to harm them at all.
- 5:18But like, I should be able to select an audio input
- 5:21whatsoever. But like my point is to is like
- 5:25see having having it on desktop or like or like my laptop.
- 5:30For example, like I've got my object when I podcast like, I
- 5:34know I'm gonna be here for a while, so I just plug my
- 5:38computer. And that way, I don't have to
- 5:40like interrupt. This show by like finding a, you
- 5:44know, a power outlet to plug my iPhone in, sorry.
- 5:47I mean, in my opinion, I think that making it Audio Only but
- 5:51allowing like OBS to stream directly to it.
- 5:54From desktop would be like a huge Improvement, right?
- 5:58Yeah. I don't even need OBS.
- 6:01I need to be able to select my audio input.
- 6:05Yes. Yeah, it's not rocket science.
- 6:08I'm sure Yvonne could probably do The coating on this himself
- 6:13personally, but whatever the thing is, is that we're sitting
- 6:19on it and we're, and we're pointing this out because we
- 6:21actually like Twitter spaces, I want them to be good.
- 6:26Yeah. And right now, they are not, you
- 6:30know, luckily it seems that Rumble is buying they bought a
- 6:34streaming companies. My understanding.
- 6:36They yeah. Well well.
- 6:38Okay. So they basically, they bought
- 6:42An app called Colin. Which basically now in the
- 6:47beginning it was like mobile-only.
- 6:49But they eventually did add like the feature to do web and so
- 6:54essentially like you basically can on their website do what Max
- 7:00you want, right? Yeah.
- 7:03Basically, you know, use your own rig on your computer to do
- 7:11like pod Cast now, because I'm going to tell you right now, why
- 7:16it does. This bug me so much is because I
- 7:18have this handheld Linux PC right here.
- 7:21The steam deck, it runs will be S out of the box.
- 7:26Right? It's a gaming device but I could
- 7:30stream from it. Give me a break.
- 7:33The technology is here. Let us fucking use it.
- 7:36People who know what they're doing.
- 7:37And the thing is, is I actually think a lot of the popular twin
- 7:41in this might be why he doesn't go in that direction.
- 7:44A lot of the popular fucking space, people would be left in
- 7:46the dust because their content is bad.
- 7:50It's full of, You Know, audio problems in.
- 7:53Oh, are you talking about? I try.
- 7:55These are people that don't know what they're doing.
- 7:57We could put on a much more professional fucking production
- 8:00than them very easily and a lot of people could put on a way
- 8:03better production than us. Yeah.
- 8:05I mean yeah. I listen to Jesse's Twitter
- 8:08spaces all the time. Yeah.
- 8:10He's all the time in Twitter spaces and like he does a better
- 8:14job than the vast majority of people, but you can definitely
- 8:17tell that he's still on a fucking cell phone.
- 8:19Yeah. Well, Land.
- 8:21And he's like me, he's a guy. That's got a really expensive
- 8:23studio with fucking professional audio equipment.
- 8:27He shouldn't have to use his phone, but he does.
- 8:30Yeah. And so, that is kind my
- 8:32question, too, because like, because, you know, a few weeks,
- 8:37a few weeks ago, we talked to a like, you know, I guess Tucker
- 8:41is going to be streaming to Twitter exclusively, and we
- 8:46talked at that and someone actually RL Ali, you know talk
- 8:52to me and was like, so, Tucker's gonna go from like his
- 8:58million-dollar students. Using his iPhone to do Twitter
- 9:02space and now kind of seems like a major down that and that's
- 9:07down section, isn't it, right. The perception of Twitter
- 9:10spaces, is it their phone GARP and the more you listen to it,
- 9:13the worse it gets You listen to ones by like like pot awful.
- 9:18I mean, this is a he's like an old-school radio guy and all
- 9:21that, that's one thing. But you listen to a lot of these
- 9:25guys and they get popular because somebody famous comes in
- 9:29their stream and they think they're really good at this, but
- 9:32their audios bad. They have, no, they have no
- 9:35radio etiquette, they're all talking over each other.
- 9:38They're chewing, you know, they got a bag of Doritos and their
- 9:41how no, I'm not. Right in your ear.
- 9:45It's Fucking and and while somebody's talking to so
- 9:48somebody's talking, this guy's got his mic open and he's eating
- 9:52and fucking a bag of chitlins or something.
- 9:56Who the fuck goes? Well, and I mean, the thing that
- 10:00is the other peel of, like, Twitter spaces, free Elon, was
- 10:06that like, hopefully you would get someone with a blue
- 10:10checkmark, you know, in your space and that would attract
- 10:13listeners. However, the funny thing is, is
- 10:18like, now the anyway now that any of us can basically buy a
- 10:21blue checkmark like it's not that much audience.
- 10:26Tractor anymore, which believe me.
- 10:28I'm actually glad about look at me.
- 10:32I am the checkmark now. That.
- 10:36That that's a, that's another funny thing is like, obviously,
- 10:40all these celebrities being like sell it.
- 10:44So is impersonating me. It hurts me.
- 10:47Because because now I parody concept, I'm sure quarks and
- 10:55they shouldnít. It's like it's like go sit down
- 11:01arrows to and by the way, like she has a great chef Marco Or
- 11:05whatever they're doing for like government officials now.
- 11:08So like, yeah, she she is still distinguishable I guess.
- 11:18I am, you know, before we get we were talking at AI before.
- 11:23There is one, I don't know if you guys have seen this since I
- 11:27do like the board gaming in roleplay gaming scene and I've
- 11:30been shitting on Wizards of the Coast.
- 11:34Did you see the new Lord of the Rings Magic?
- 11:38The Gathering card controversy? A little bit because my because
- 11:44my man more he is sent me something about that, but I'm
- 11:49not like, it was only one thing and I am not like that familiar
- 11:53with it. So what happened?
- 11:55Okay, so what happened is, is they released a series of Lord
- 11:59of the Rings themed Magic, the Gathering cards.
- 12:02That's what they've been doing to try and remain relevant and
- 12:05get people to buy new card packs as they've done crossovers with
- 12:08other brands, they did Warhammer, Dungeons & Dragons.
- 12:11Ins you name it. And they've now done Lord of the
- 12:14Rings, which is obviously a perfect fit for a fantasy card
- 12:18game, right? However the artwork has upset
- 12:23some people, for example, the card featuring Aragorn, they
- 12:29have portrayed Aragorn who is described as j.r.r.
- 12:32Tolkien is having like the fairest of skins and all of this
- 12:37is black. And when people pointed out that
- 12:42that's not the character in JRR tolkien's books, nor is it
- 12:48similar to the movie? They're just racists.
- 12:51Obviously, like, people couldn't be and, and the people that I'm
- 12:55seeing complaining about it are just saying I'm not going to buy
- 12:59this because it's empty virtue signal.
- 13:03Now that turns into from a guy who actually follows me
- 13:07strangely enough on Twitter which is Dave Levi, who's really
- 13:11popular within the board Gaming Community and that's probably
- 13:14why he followed me, because he saw me posting aboard game
- 13:17stuff, but David Leavitt has decided that if you don't buy
- 13:24this card, that means you hate black people.
- 13:28Or if you think this isn't like an art style that I'm cool with
- 13:31and it's too far from The Source material that just means you
- 13:34hate black people. So so it's kind of like if you
- 13:38don't buy our merchandise mmm that's what they're claiming
- 13:42because you know if you don't by saying Whitfield report
- 13:45merchandise, you hate, black people.
- 13:47Well that's true though. That's a different thing.
- 13:50It's not the same. Well you not idea.
- 13:53Hate black people. You hate disabled people
- 13:55obviously obviously. Now it's it.
- 13:59I don't know man. I don't see race.
- 14:02What race are you? I don't know what I just see the
- 14:06wheelchair. I do have another one.
- 14:08That's somewhat interesting is I posted it in our gilded earlier
- 14:14to is I'm not sure if it's real but I'm going to I'm going to
- 14:20try and bring it up on screen. They also did a version of
- 14:24Gandalf and let me see again this Might be an internet fake.
- 14:29I can't 100% confirm its legit because I'm not going to buy.
- 14:36Magic, the Gathering cards? I decided that that was a scam
- 14:39fucking when I was in fifth grade.
- 14:41But this right here, I hope it's big enough for the audience to
- 14:47see is Gandalf, friend of the Shire.
- 14:52Or is it Gandalf song? If you didn't notice, they made
- 14:57Gandalf Asian for no reason, That looks.
- 15:03Alright, the wizard from Big Trouble in Little Giant town
- 15:07then it does. Yeah.
- 15:08And off Yeah, so as yards of the coast, once again, going full
- 15:17woke and it's not doing well for them.
- 15:21I would recommend anybody if you're into Dungeons and
- 15:24Dragons, if you're into Magic the Gathering I don't think
- 15:29Wizards really has any other major properties.
- 15:32But if they do, just give them the Bud Light treatment.
- 15:35I'm serious on this. Give them the Bud Light
- 15:37treatment because not only are they woke, not Are they pushing
- 15:41this political agenda down your throat?
- 15:43But on top of that, they are greedy that we just talked about
- 15:47this, a few weeks ago, Magic, the Gathering Wizards of the
- 15:50Coast sick Pinkerton agents on people They're the worst
- 15:54Corporation. I can actually think of right
- 15:56now and so if you're into that shit, find an alternative ad&d.
- 16:01Hit me up on Twitter. I will help you find plenty of
- 16:05wonderful Alternatives and guys writing really cutting-edge cool
- 16:10shit like Vengeance. The tennis RPG.
- 16:13Pundit mid-tier stuff like red room.
- 16:17They have a bunch of interesting games.
- 16:18There's so many Alternatives out there.
- 16:20Don't give these people your money.
- 16:22They hate you. And And also want to preach at
- 16:24you. And also want to extract every
- 16:26last cent in your bank account, fuck Wizards of the Coast and
- 16:29fuck Hasbro to their parent company.
- 16:34And that's my red eye. You know, this does bring up
- 16:39like an actual. So someone someone DM me on
- 16:46Twitter and was like, Hey I wasn't your show on the doorknob
- 16:49anything. Really good.
- 16:53Why do all these companies? Keep going.
- 16:56Whoa, even after the dawn Mulvaney thing and my theory is
- 17:02it's because they think that like even though bottle but why
- 17:08is your was bad at it or? No.
- 17:10Sorry, the Anheuser-Busch was bad.
- 17:12They think that they can make woke up some more actually for
- 17:18ties. All it's actually simpler than
- 17:21Than that most of this shit like in terms of movies, music,
- 17:27advertisements advertising, campaigns, things like that.
- 17:32This shit is, this is what people don't understand.
- 17:35And you need to understand it several years, in the making in
- 17:39each regard. So they probably came up with
- 17:43the Dylan. I mean, they printed a can with
- 17:45the fucking dudes, face on it, right?
- 17:47This wasn't something. They put together in a week.
- 17:50This is I think they've been working at probably for like,
- 17:53two years or something or year at least.
- 17:56And this was something they had in the can and but it's worst
- 18:00like that's an ad campaign, right?
- 18:02That takes probably a year to get off the ground when you're
- 18:05talking major Motion Pictures. When you're talking video games,
- 18:09when you're talking music and all of this stuff that shit
- 18:13gets, you know, made and then edited and then all of that
- 18:18stuff over the course of five years or something.
- 18:21Like that. Yeah, yeah.
- 18:22Five to ten years in some cases. Yeah.
- 18:25So you're talking about this shit was conceived of when they
- 18:29had us by the balls, you know what I mean?
- 18:32And they had an audience for it. And so these corporations were
- 18:35looking for that audience. And once you have a particularly
- 18:38in the case, look at The Little Mermaid controversy, right?
- 18:41Obviously, Disney knew this was a bad film.
- 18:45Regardless of The Black Mermaid Scandal.
- 18:48I've seen enough of it at this point to determine that.
- 18:52It doesn't fall out. Like, it doesn't have a lot of
- 18:54things that would attract kids. One of the things about Disney
- 18:58characters is, they're very striking Design, This was a
- 19:01thing, Walt Disney was very big on and this is the thing that
- 19:04Bob Iger, who is now, again, the current CEO also was big on
- 19:08because he was in charge of Disney.
- 19:10When they came out with blue mermaid Lion, King Aladdin, the
- 19:14sort of Millennial Golden Era of Disney.
- 19:18So he understands striking characters better than probably
- 19:21very, you know, few other CEOs are as Adept at.
- 19:25This is him. But when he took over as CEO,
- 19:30they had already spent 800 million dollars on this fucking
- 19:32film. Was he not going to release it?
- 19:35Of course, he's gonna release it.
- 19:36He was not there through the entire creation of that movie.
- 19:39And he did say that he might be wanting to take Disney in a
- 19:42different direction, but he knows like, I know, and like now
- 19:46are are enlightened listeners. Now is that that's not going to
- 19:50happen for like five years. And so, in the meantime, the
- 19:53battles that they've already started like withdraw, On
- 19:56DeSantis in Florida and all this other stuff, they kind of have
- 20:00to go in on it because now they understand the Bud Light
- 20:04treatment a little better because the Bud Light treatment
- 20:07has now gone both ways back and forth where where the other side
- 20:12is saying, I don't want Bud Light because they essentially
- 20:15cooked out on Pride, right? They gave up and they're trying
- 20:19to appeal to these evil hateful bigots.
- 20:21I'm not going to buy their beer and so now nobody buys it.
- 20:24So Disney knows if they try and Immediately and a lot of these
- 20:28big corporations to if they try and take that immediate hard,
- 20:31turn back to the center, not even the right.
- 20:33Just the center just towards a political you know, Baseline
- 20:38content that one. They're going to get the Bud
- 20:42Light treatment and the left is immediately going to fucking
- 20:45start bashing them, cancel culture, all that shit, and two,
- 20:49they don't have the content in the oven yet to back it up.
- 20:54Yeah. And I'm glad that you mentioned
- 20:59the budweis thing because like, I used to drink, I mean I used
- 21:03to drink Budweiser, one of my friends at well, people will
- 21:07start buying Budweiser starting in July because in July that's a
- 21:14that's when they always do it. Like the Fourth of July super
- 21:18patriotic, you know, canned and usually, Usually they be right,
- 21:27but I think this year was, I think they fucked up so bad on
- 21:32the dawn, my main anything that people aren't going to buy the
- 21:37American flag cans, even though that campaign has worked in the
- 21:44past, because it's real easy, not to, that's the thing of
- 21:49inorganic boycott like this. And I've we've talked about this
- 21:53before. Or this isn't nobody's directing
- 21:56this, you know, this is what people are just saying.
- 21:59Like they're fed up and I put out a tweet the other day.
- 22:03I said, free advice to leftist. You're not fighting the
- 22:06far-right extremists anymore. You're fighting the normies that
- 22:10that's yeah, yeah, no. I saw that.
- 22:13Yeah, well, yeah, it's like well the other thing too is it's like
- 22:18okay, does Budweiser, does Anheuser-Busch believe in
- 22:23anything? Thing.
- 22:24Because now they just seem disingenuous no matter what.
- 22:28Because right, like they did the Dome of anything, it didn't
- 22:33work. So they meet a flip to the Holly
- 22:35Davidson, you know, special edition for Pro 10.
- 22:40The pro tip Mega corpse, don't care about politics at all.
- 22:44And they they're all fake woke their, why they're pushing their
- 22:48their shit. There's people in there that
- 22:50believe in the cause, but the corporation itself answers To
- 22:54shareholders. And when you start losing them,
- 22:57something like 12 or 15 billion dollars, They don't care so much
- 23:03about the politics at that point.
- 23:04Yeah, now there are activist shareholders out there.
- 23:07There are left-wing communist the by you know, venture
- 23:11capitalist types that believe in communism and they'll buy up a
- 23:15bunch of stock so that they can be essentially an activist
- 23:18stockholder to try and drive the company's politics left but
- 23:23they're actually the minority the majority of investors in all
- 23:26of these corporations. The only time they're going to
- 23:30demand a change in direction from that kind of thing, is when
- 23:33they start losing money, another great example of somebody that's
- 23:37turning the corner. In my opinion is Warner,
- 23:39Brothers, they put out a statement, an actual official
- 23:42statement from Warner Brothers about three months ago saying
- 23:46that they want to get away from what they considered, quote
- 23:49politically charged content, and get to what they want to
- 23:52consider what they call quote Middle America values.
- 23:57And I don't think what they I mean by that is Hardcore
- 24:00conservatism, I think what they mean by that is we should just
- 24:04get the fuck out of politics and in they had already made that
- 24:08decision in the board and then the Harry Potter game happened
- 24:12in completely validated that decision.
- 24:16It wasn't just the Harry Potter game though.
- 24:19I have not been sighted it. I have some insight but that but
- 24:22that was that was an example of it.
- 24:24Working is all I'm saying. So you could go from after that.
- 24:28You go to the board and say, see, No.
- 24:32No, yeah, no. I'm actually glad that you
- 24:35brought up that example. That was specifically because I
- 24:37do have something to add on to that.
- 24:39So the thing with Warner Brothers in particular is
- 24:44interesting because Warner Brothers, is the parent company
- 24:48of HBO, right? I'm not sure if you, if you knew
- 24:53that a lot of people do, but so HBO for a long time for really,
- 25:00the past 40 years, Has been like, was really the go-to for
- 25:08like, you know, premium cable content when they did, if you
- 25:17wanted to see Hollywood pictures, uncensored, it was
- 25:22only HBO, that's the only place and then Showtime cropped up
- 25:25later. But HBO was first and that they
- 25:28would have R-rated films uncut without commercials and that's
- 25:32why it was a paid premium channel.
- 25:34And I think they got him to original content creation,
- 25:38right? Really early on like some of the
- 25:41old HBO Originals. Like a lot of people don't know.
- 25:44A Fraggle Rock is an HBO original.
- 25:47Yep. Yeah.
- 25:48Oh yeah. Telling Liz but you know that
- 25:53that original content and whatnot, like HP item had a
- 25:58monopoly on that and then Netflix came in like you know,
- 26:04All a decade ago would early this year and, you know, change
- 26:09that with house cards so fast forward to now.
- 26:12Right, I promise I'm going somewhere with this fast forward
- 26:16to just a year or so ago. Paramount plus, which is
- 26:21Paramount Studios app propped up a few years ago and, and HBO,
- 26:32and everyone else like scoffed at them because they're like,
- 26:36oh, it's it's Paramount Studios who's going.
- 26:39Who's going to supposed to subscribe to them and Paramount?
- 26:45They were the ones who released Yellowstone, which some people I
- 26:49tried to call, you know, Uber right-wing nationalist but no
- 26:54it's honestly it's a modern-day West Rand that is non woke,
- 27:00doesn't preach. I didn't Eve politics right?
- 27:03Like it it's more inspired by probably as I've seen a little,
- 27:08I have I'm not a big follower, I don't watch a lot of anything,
- 27:11but I had seen the first couple of, right?
- 27:14It seems to me, it's based more off of like 60, 70 s Westerns,
- 27:17not the Spaghetti Westerns. More like John Wayne kind of
- 27:21stuff. Yeah, no, it's more based off of
- 27:24like the 60 and 70 but like anything.
- 27:26What is it doesn't preach at you, right?
- 27:29So Yellowstone, took off You know, it's taken off in the last
- 27:36few years and it's made Paramount of shit ton of money.
- 27:43And meanwhile HBO and Amazon and all, well, not so much Amazon
- 27:48because they've been pretty balanced.
- 27:50But all these other stuff is little which is like HBO and
- 27:53Netflix are now panicking because The kid that they made
- 27:59fun of so to speak, which is peridot, is now kicking over to
- 28:03a buddy's asses in the streaming game and they weren't and they
- 28:09weren't expecting that. So now they're trying to ditch
- 28:12all the woke content and be more like Paramount plus if that
- 28:20makes sense. All right.
- 28:23Well, and then then there's the whole Warner Brothers And
- 28:27Paramount kind of debacle over South Park right where South
- 28:32Park made a streaming deal with. I believe it was Warner Brothers
- 28:38first before Paramount plus existed.
- 28:42And so now what they're doing is offering what they're calling a
- 28:45special which is usually just a longer episode to Paramount and
- 28:50they're also Streaming new episodes of the show on Warner
- 28:54Brothers and there's a lawsuit developing Over this, the thing
- 28:58is there's very little content nowadays, that is a subscription
- 29:02seller, there, like most people will subscribe to Netflix or
- 29:06Paramount Plus or whatever. One thing to watch one thing.
- 29:12Most people are not subscribing to these Services anymore
- 29:16because it's like Netflix used to be where it was, a One, Stop
- 29:20Shop for all kinds of things. Now, everything is Niche,
- 29:25everything and they want you to have five different
- 29:27subscriptions and very few people do except soy, boys.
- 29:31I guess, I don't know who like, who has more than like one
- 29:37subscription to like, I don't even think I have any Tights
- 29:42video service. I have, I have to know.
- 29:46I technically have subscriptions to like multiple of the services
- 29:52but I also have a relative who works in cable so I get a lot of
- 29:59those for free anyway, but like I think the only one actually
- 30:04pay for is Amazon and that's because I subscribe to Amazon
- 30:09Prime. I gotta go, I got an uncle that
- 30:13works at Nintendo. Yeah Sam's hoist in the Black
- 30:16Flag. Ladies and gentlemen.
- 30:19No, no, I'm just busting this ball but not like, you don't
- 30:24subscribe to a lot of this fucking shit unless you have a
- 30:27lot of time to sit there and watch content and guess what?
- 30:30A lot more people are watching. Shit, especially younger people,
- 30:33YouTube even Rumble. Now, twitch, what's the
- 30:37difference is they're providing content, that's free and then
- 30:40people will have one or two subs to stuff that they like, but I'm
- 30:44weird because I don't watch a lot of movies anymore.
- 30:47I don't watch TV. Yeah, I'm a gamer, I like games.
- 30:52So if I have time to spare, I'm probably going to be playing a
- 30:56video game. Instead, my wife has
- 30:58subscriptions to shit, I could probably watch all this shit.
- 31:01I don't I don't watch any of it in the funny part is she doesn't
- 31:05watch most of it either. I don't I don't watch it.
- 31:09I don't want too much. I mean II do like I it is funny
- 31:14because ever since getting my PS5 like yeah I do gain a lot
- 31:18more than My then I watch TV now and then when I do watch TV, but
- 31:24unquote, it's actually it's actual movies and whatnot, like,
- 31:29and it's mostly something I already seen before.
- 31:32It's funny. Because people say, like that,
- 31:34like you said, I don't watch a lot, but, like, I bet you in
- 31:37relate in comparison to me, you do because people ask me.
- 31:41Have you seen this show? No.
- 31:42Have you seen this movie? No?
- 31:44Like, yeah. Unless you go fucking 15 years
- 31:47ago. The answer is probably no, I
- 31:50don't. I don't find the writing
- 31:53compelling. I don't find a lot of this shit
- 31:54compelling. And the reason I like video
- 31:56games is because I don't like just aimlessly sitting at a
- 32:01screen. Consume content and a video
- 32:04game. I feel like my brain is involved
- 32:07but that's yeah, that's yeah. I read a lot of books.
- 32:12Oh, I was he the thing I do is like I read like fictional books
- 32:18and then I'll see you. I how the movie about that at a
- 32:22patient's Stacks, I gave up on that a long time ago because
- 32:26I've always been disappointed, always me.
- 32:29Yeah. Yeah, very, very rarely the
- 32:34first couple seasons of the show.
- 32:35Dexter, was pretty good in comparison to the book.
- 32:38It was based off of there's a handful that I can point.
- 32:41Point two. Yeah, Jeff Lindsay bugs.
- 32:44Yeah, but a lot of it that gets translated from novels.
- 32:49I end up really really disliking and so I stopped doing that.
- 32:54Yeah. The terminate the journalist is
- 32:56the only book series that like got success successfully made
- 33:03into a show and that's actually good and that's because they
- 33:07actually told the author we want you as a Right on this thing
- 33:13which was, which is smart of them to do and I mean it's a
- 33:16good show but basically that's all I am.
- 33:19That's all Amazon has right now and that's because they have
- 33:23Chris Pratt starring. So you'd be surprised how much
- 33:29of that went over my head? Like that's another one people
- 33:32will point out famous actors and I know that Chris Pratt is a
- 33:35famous actor and I think I've seen him in something or other
- 33:39but like to place him is who he actually Ali is I actually can't
- 33:43do that. So who's oh yeah.
- 33:44What's his most famous role? So was he in Marvel or
- 33:49something? He was, yeah, he was Star-Lord
- 33:53and okay, one of the Avengers movies and then I know Star-Lord
- 33:58is he was on Parks and Recreation.
- 34:01Yeah, I never watch that. Okay, that that that that's like
- 34:06a sister show to the office, right?
- 34:08Yeah. Yeah, the office is trashed.
- 34:11So I don't so you. So you're the way I am with what
- 34:16your the way with celebrities, the way I am with like internet
- 34:20people where I'm where I'm just like I know mr.
- 34:25Maddock her is but who is PBP what hold on?
- 34:33That's that's fair be right? Because who is PVP is a good
- 34:37question. I still don't know the answers.
- 34:42No. It's just I grew up.
- 34:45I grew up idolizing like Hitchcock and like old 50s and
- 34:5160s stuff. I watched a lot of it with my
- 34:53granddad and if you watch that stuff a lot and then you watch
- 34:59Modern anything, you can very quickly notice that they talk to
- 35:03you now, like you're a child and I don't owe that.
- 35:06Oh fuck. Yeah.
- 35:07I know. I'm not I'm not disagreeing like
- 35:10look my Someone gave me crap the day, because, and by the way,
- 35:16happy 93rd fucking birthday to the living legend.
- 35:20Clint Eastwood my favorite director and actor of all time
- 35:26Bar, None. Yeah, like you Max, I watch a
- 35:30lot of old stuff. I mean, including I'll tell you
- 35:33this, if Clint Eastwood makes a movie, I go out of my way.
- 35:36But yeah. Well yeah like as far as like As
- 35:41far as I want a thing. Like who's your who's your
- 35:45favorite? Like action star, right?
- 35:48And like everyone in my family friend group was like, oh the
- 35:51raw, you know, or if they're a little older, they'll say
- 35:56Stallone or Schwartz and I said quickly knees would and they
- 36:03were like My grandpa. My grandpa says.
- 36:08And it's like, well, yeah. Because like, you know, like
- 36:12frantically. I don't expect people to be
- 36:16weird like me either. I know why people veg out and
- 36:19watch stuff. I just don't, but my only thing
- 36:23is don't don't give them your money if they're hating you.
- 36:26You know? That's, that's my only thing.
- 36:28If they're, if they're whole thing is pushing this agenda
- 36:30down. Your throat that your bad your
- 36:32beliefs are bad. Trump bad if you like him you're
- 36:36bad. DeSantis bad too.
- 36:39Few like him, you're bad. Like why do you give people that
- 36:42feel like you're evil money? And a lot of normies said that
- 36:47exact thing about Bud Light? This wasn't like, oh we're all
- 36:50going to get together and organize, a boycott, those don't
- 36:53work. What this was, is Bud Light.
- 36:57That's cringe. That's, that's what's happened
- 37:00to know. Everybody's like, when the topic
- 37:04of Beer came up, I think I mentioned this last week, but
- 37:07it's happened again. Since then in my chat in World
- 37:12of Warcraft, somebody mentioned beer and the The Guild Master
- 37:18was like, hey no political discussions, please Just the
- 37:22word beer and nobody wanted to touch it with a ten-foot pole.
- 37:27Because you're why not, you might be in mixed company
- 37:30because these are all random people playing a game, right?
- 37:33And so some people are going to be on one side, some people are
- 37:35going to be on the other and then you just turn Guild chat
- 37:38into World War 3 and 2. Both sides have reason to say
- 37:43the Bud. Light is cringe.
- 37:46No, I actually had a similar experience when I was playing.
- 37:52Call of Duty online, the other night.
- 37:53Because some were saying, well, June's cut June's coming up and
- 38:01in the same thing it's like you know, and and you know the
- 38:06person who is leading our party was like what I don't want to
- 38:11you know, I don't want to get into any controversial topics
- 38:16here. Let's just play this next right
- 38:19by the way, ladies and gentlemen of the audience, That is a good
- 38:23strategy on how to handle those kind of situations.
- 38:28Is you come off like, they don't necessarily know what you're
- 38:31about because you're like, yeah, man, we're just doing this thing
- 38:34here. You know, it's harder to do with
- 38:37like, your family and stuff. But if you're interacting with
- 38:39people online in potentially mixed company, just saying, hey
- 38:43man, we shouldn't be doing politics.
- 38:45Let's just do the game or let's just do.
- 38:47This thing is a much easier way than arguing with ideological
- 38:52Little People unless you like that anything and sometimes I
- 38:56do. So I don't always follow my own
- 38:59advice but it is an easier way to get past it because you know
- 39:03like like thinking about my guild, right?
- 39:07I know some of the people in my guild that I really, really like
- 39:11I'm going to disagree with so fucking strongly that it's not
- 39:14worth talking about You know. Yeah well mild mild thing too is
- 39:22like the thing that right where's do is like and they have
- 39:27done this with the Budweiser. Why is thing, right?
- 39:30But like they've done it with like plenty of other thing like
- 39:34the Gillette when Joy I did there an time, you know man
- 39:38campaign a few years ago, the daily.
- 39:41Why was his response was? Oh yeah well we're going to make
- 39:46our own rose smell. Or something like that.
- 39:50And and they did the same thing with like Hershey's and thank
- 39:56God. None of these right-wing
- 39:58grifters actually decided to like make a beer.
- 40:01I've almost just like yeah go like go support your local
- 40:06Brewery or something right? I've said before you know my
- 40:11beer of choice is always been Sam Adams.
- 40:13Yes they have a pride beer. Aside from that are they pushing
- 40:17shit down my throat? No is the pride flag on the main
- 40:20beer know the pride, beer is the pride beer and they sell it, and
- 40:25you can go by the pride beer if you want to, if you want to
- 40:28Boston Lager, it's the same as it's always been.
- 40:32They don't talk about this shit in their advertising.
- 40:35They talk about beer, they talk about what it takes to make a
- 40:39good beer, that's in. And that this is again.
- 40:42The Budweiser thing, They think that camo cans and fucking
- 40:48Harley Davidson is the answer. No, the answer is make a good
- 40:52product and what got you to the game in the first place was
- 40:56talking about, you know, it's an American Beer, that is for the
- 41:00Working Man, and they weren't talking about the political
- 41:03aspect of it. They were talking about The
- 41:05Echoes and Echoes Luciano, whatever.
- 41:09They were talking about your status in terms of economics,
- 41:13you know. But but also Did you see the?
- 41:17I'm overtired. I'm apologizing.
- 41:19No I mean it's fine but what but did you see the ad that they did
- 41:24like three days after the dawn of anything where they literally
- 41:28tried to do? Just that and it like came off
- 41:34Horribly. The Clydesdales.
- 41:39Yeah. They like yeah.
- 41:42Well. Okay.
- 41:43Well they did an ad where it was like someone in marketing like
- 41:52Basically tightened into our chat shootie, like make the most
- 41:59American Budweiser like ad campaign.
- 42:02You can think of and they literally just just like, took
- 42:06like, wow, what a I think. So, but it thinks of Americana
- 42:11and just did that, it was like the most well, ever, quite well.
- 42:16And then, conversely, when I compare it to a Sam Adams
- 42:19commercial, it's usually like What's the founders need Jim
- 42:24Koch. I think it's Jim Koch and he's
- 42:25like I'm Jim Koch and I really love beer and here's a tour of
- 42:29our Brewery. And here's some of the values.
- 42:31We hold as a company and they're not diversity, equity and
- 42:35inclusion, you know what I mean? It's like make a good product
- 42:38and treat your customers fairly and stuff like that.
- 42:42And that's all he says, I have no idea what his politics are.
- 42:45He's probably a flaming Lefty if I were to guess, because he's
- 42:49from Boston. But I Don't, I can't discern
- 42:53that from him. The way he runs his company at
- 42:55all. You know, I wouldn't say this
- 42:59like Like the brute, the the people who grew Fat Tire New
- 43:08Belgium, and Colorado, New Belgium is like, the owners are
- 43:14proud, like Democratic supporters.
- 43:17They, they donated to Obama in 2008, you know, I like the
- 43:23owners are like publicly, a liberal.
- 43:26But, you know, the one thing that they don't do, they don't
- 43:29advertise. They don't like stick their
- 43:34Politics on their branding. In New Belgium.
- 43:40I do not that they that they had a pride beer but again it was
- 43:43like it was like a special edition for apply for Pride at
- 43:48wasn't the main thing. so, Hmm. Yeah, yeah.
- 43:59Budweiser just the funniest part about the whole thing is they
- 44:02don't have any idea how to fix it at all and everything they
- 44:07try makes it worse and I don't expect that to change soon.
- 44:12In terms of you mentioned a friend that had said July that
- 44:15their sales will crop back up. I don't know Labor Day weekend
- 44:19was their worst weekend ever. Labor Day weekend is usually a
- 44:24Big Bud Light fucking weekend, you know?
- 44:27I, yeah, I can say I've been to a lot of cookouts where they
- 44:31have Kegs and 30 packs and it's all Bud Light.
- 44:34Because generally speaking before, all this people have to
- 44:37remember Bud Light was considered the most ubiquitous
- 44:40beer even though most people who like beer don't like it, but
- 44:44most people who don't like beer do and so if you're in mixed
- 44:48company and you're not sure the the safe one to get was Bud
- 44:52Light. Because even some chicks will
- 44:53drink, Bud, Light and dudes will drink, Bud Light and it's it was
- 44:57always that. So I went to some party, you
- 45:00know, Labor Day, cookouts and stuff.
- 45:02And there was not a Bud Light anywhere to be seen this year.
- 45:05I've never seen that before. Not once.
- 45:09Yeah. No.
- 45:10I mean Budweiser my why did encounter Bud Light?
- 45:15But it was Vietnamese people at the beach.
- 45:19Oh yeah. And he was just like you drink
- 45:22beer. I was like yeah.
- 45:24You know I was trying to be polite.
- 45:26Yeah. Yeah.
- 45:26Headed us two Bud Lights. I looked at my buddy and we kind
- 45:30of, you know, laughed. It's like I don't know, like
- 45:34we're just like do we tell this guy to not hand people?
- 45:37People Bud Light in America right now.
- 45:40Well, like my first reaction would be like no, sir.
- 45:43I'm not gay. Thank you.
- 45:44Well, that's, that's what I was thinking.
- 45:46Like, does this guy know? Because I just was thinking, he
- 45:49probably went to the store and they were like, oh yeah, this
- 45:53this this whole thing is like a dollar, you know, I love America
- 45:59USA. Yeah, they're like, well, that's
- 46:06thing, like, you know, like Budweiser used to, like,
- 46:12Budweiser along with Coca-Cola and apple pie.
- 46:14And, you know, the Ford Motor Company that basically was like,
- 46:20hard like American, you know, iconic branding the old
- 46:25Budweiser logo with like the kind of bow tie shape was at one
- 46:29time the most recognized symbol On earth.
- 46:32Oh yeah. But more than even the Coca-Cola
- 46:36logo, which is saying something. Well, well, it's like, the old
- 46:40saying goes like, there's no need to break a, you know, why
- 46:46breaks me when it already works and for communism?
- 46:50Yeah, that's and that's what this this is right.
- 46:54These are activists that they have to do everything
- 46:57politically they have to push, you know, they want to put the
- 47:01same kind. Kind of shit on us.
- 47:02Like the same label because conservatives react to things or
- 47:06talk about politics, but like if not for their bullshit, most
- 47:12normal people didn't even engage with politics to this degree and
- 47:16now you've stepped into their domain with the Dylan Mulvaney
- 47:19thing in the Target thing as well.
- 47:21Now, shout out to forgot. Joe Blow getting number.
- 47:25I think, number one on iTunes with his boycott Target song.
- 47:31This is, these are not us, right?
- 47:35Even, and we're more political than most people, these are no
- 47:38armies and they walk into Target and they're appalled.
- 47:43They see the Dylan Mulvaney thing and they're appalled,
- 47:45they're normal. People who are like, this is way
- 47:48too far, they don't hate trans people for one that's, that's
- 47:53important to remember. They don't actually care most
- 47:56normies about trans people, unless you're pushing it on
- 47:59their kids or, you know, getting in there flow with it.
- 48:03Yeah, well, I would go step further Max.
- 48:06It's not even that they, it's not in that, they You know,
- 48:11don't hey, transgenders, it's normies.
- 48:14Still don't understand transgender.
- 48:18I would say so like, oh, they understand enough to know like
- 48:23like the Normie response to it is like yeah, everybody can live
- 48:27the way they want to live. And but but then they it's it's
- 48:31literally, it's with no step on snack.
- 48:33They're like, yeah, everybody can live the way they want to
- 48:35live and then they got stepped on and they fucking struck.
- 48:40Yeah. That's it.
- 48:41That and this is simple as that. And it didn't start with Bud
- 48:44Light. I'll tell you that.
- 48:45I I've seen it a PTO meetings in person.
- 48:49It started with the school shit. Everybody went to my kids
- 48:52school, a bunch of parents concerned parents at a PTO
- 48:55meeting asking about this shit and it turns out that they're
- 48:58actually not pushing anything like that at that school.
- 49:01But you got to be involved. I think it said that last week,
- 49:03you got to be involved. That's the big thing, if your
- 49:06kids in a public school or even a private school.
- 49:08Now, you got To be involved. And then I know there's do Mirza
- 49:12be like, oh, you should homeschool you should homeschool
- 49:14well, you fucking homeschool. All right?
- 49:17Like I have, it's not for everybody.
- 49:21Okay, that's all I'm saying. Not everybody's in a position
- 49:24that they can spend eight hours a day homeschooling.
- 49:28Okay. Especially for little little
- 49:30ones and also I like my kid going to squeeze the most
- 49:33popular kid in school. But I can't take my eye off the
- 49:37ball, so I still have to dedicate a Good amount of my
- 49:40time to school. Maybe not as much as
- 49:41homeschooling. But I know all his teachers, I
- 49:45talk to them. I know what he does in school.
- 49:47I know videos that they watch. She just an email, we know the
- 49:50lesson plans, we know what they're doing, but you have to
- 49:55do that, right? You can't just let it ride
- 49:58because then next thing, you know your kids secretly
- 50:01transgender. But that was what riled up
- 50:06normies long before Bud Light. I promise you.
- 50:11And I mean, you can include like minority groups in this because
- 50:15I there were Black and Hispanic parents at the same meeting and
- 50:19they were some of the loudest ones on the topic, by the way.
- 50:23Oh oh yeah. Well and well that's that's the
- 50:27that's a thing. Is this whole this whole
- 50:29transgender thing as my Cuban, as my Cuban neighbor said, man,
- 50:37this whole transgenders stuff is a bunch of why There's a bunch
- 50:42of white. Shit is a bunch of white is a
- 50:46bunch of white peep-peep oash. I can do a Cuban accent.
- 50:51Eyeball goes they were his exam. Yeah this transgender stuff is
- 50:56white people shit basically I would venture to guess the in
- 51:00the Cuban population. Specifically, the number of
- 51:03transgenders is probably the lowest of almost any ethnic
- 51:09group in America. It particularly Cuban Cubans,
- 51:14not big on the gay shit. Just calling it out there.
- 51:17Not by and large. Yeah, there's obviously gay and
- 51:20proud Cubans out there, I'm sure, right.
- 51:24But but as a population group, especially in Florida, yeah,
- 51:30i-i've known a few Cubans down there in my day and then they
- 51:33don't really like the gay shit. Many of it, you know, but
- 51:38they're not hateful either. They're just like, yeah, we
- 51:40don't. That's not part of our culture.
- 51:43Yeah, they'll get lectured that they're being racist or
- 51:46whatever, and it's like, fuck you.
- 51:47It's not there. Make the Cuban culture is very
- 51:51masculine. Actually.
- 51:53That's just what it is. Yeah, yeah, no one.
- 51:57Am I One of my. 1981. A, my neighbor's got accused of
- 52:04being a racist by someone will check and he's and he's and he's
- 52:09an immigrant, right? So, my neighbor just goes.
- 52:14I am how you say in English, a brown person.
- 52:20So, therefore, I can't be racist racist, it turns out you can,
- 52:27but but only a white supremacist.
- 52:29That's what we've learned the last couple of weeks.
- 52:32You can be a brown, or black, or whatever kind of Asian, whatever
- 52:37kind of person, I don't even know.
- 52:39Here's the thing, when I was a kid saying, Brown was like super
- 52:44fucking offensive, calling calling somebody a brown person,
- 52:48or a colored person was super offensive.
- 52:52When I was a kid. Now, that's what they want to be
- 52:54called. I have trouble keeping up.
- 52:58Yeah, well yeah, but the black people I know black and brown.
- 53:01Or whatever people, I know in real life, don't get hung up on
- 53:04that shit. Only only only like middle-aged
- 53:08white soccer moms, get hung up on that shit in real life, but
- 53:11whatever. Yeah, now I got, I got told by
- 53:16someone, is used the word disabled.
- 53:19I should use the word differently.
- 53:22I should use the word different way of all the time.
- 53:24Like what the fuck does do does, give away all this.
- 53:30That's all I want to know. We all have different.
- 53:33We all have different abilities. Oh, that's right.
- 53:37So the question is, then to this person obviously,
- 53:40hypothetically, If his abilities are different than mine.
- 53:45What ones does he have physically?
- 53:48That I don't. You know, I mean, it's not
- 53:53differently-abled, it's disabled.
- 53:55Certain things are just cut off because of your physical
- 53:58condition. George Carlin went into this, in
- 54:01one of his most famous the if you want to listen to the stand
- 54:05up of it, it's called parental advisory.
- 54:07Explicit lyrics, was the name of the record, but he talks about
- 54:11the euphemisms and it's interesting to see because I
- 54:15actually once got suspended from school and middle school for
- 54:18doing that bit and the English teacher chick her.
- 54:22Add me and she was like super offended but the idea is using
- 54:25flowery language for things like differently-abled I believe in
- 54:29the example he used it wasn't differently-abled.
- 54:31It was handi-capable. Yeah, you're not disabled your
- 54:37you're not handicapped, your handi-capable.
- 54:39Oh, that makes it so much better because now that you called it
- 54:42that you know, I, you know, it's fine that I can't walk, right?
- 54:46Fuck you man. It's like yeah it's a set of
- 54:50challenges that you have and you're aware of and you deal
- 54:54with every fucking day and however you want to fucking
- 54:56Define. It is fine by me.
- 54:59I'm not going to like it seems that you're a fucking child and
- 55:03you need told to you with, with fucking a spoonful of sugar,
- 55:06right? It's like, yeah, not this
- 55:08motherfucker knows. He's been this way a long time
- 55:11at this point. He doesn't need you to pussyfoot
- 55:14around the goddamn issue. Yeah, in fact, it's actually,
- 55:18it's actually an insult when people when people do it's like,
- 55:21it's like, I've been living with this shit for basically, my
- 55:24entire fucking life. I'm pretty sure that.
- 55:27Um, after almost 30 years of this shit, I can handle.
- 55:31I can handle the truth. That yes, I am.
- 55:34In fact, disabled shocker, I know and it's in, it's not even
- 55:40that big a deal in terms of, you know, you still have a life.
- 55:44It's different than other people's.
- 55:46In a lot of ways but you you rock it, you do your thing and,
- 55:50and nobody fucking cares. You don't need to be treated
- 55:53like, oh well, you have special abilities, like no actually not.
- 55:58And, you know, we were talking about this before the, the
- 56:02cybernetics you mentioned it, the great segue into a, I, by
- 56:06the way you mentioned using AI or text to speech, applications
- 56:11helped, you greatly in your education.
- 56:13And as and I said, yeah, like that.
- 56:16Technology. They always don't want to talk
- 56:19about the benefits like cybernetics people really?
- 56:21Go cyberpunk cyberpunk. Yeah.
- 56:23But if I could get Sam a set, a robot legs and he could cruise
- 56:27around town. I'm sure he'd fucking love it.
- 56:29I'm sure it would make things a lot easier for him, right?
- 56:33Oh yeah, well here's the thing, if I could and they and again
- 56:37this goes back to kind of a job. I've had this conversation off
- 56:42air and with people and Max and I just Talk about look II, get
- 56:48the fear behind Ai and it's not completely Justified but I am
- 56:55sorry just because just because Chad GPT is all to respond to.
- 57:02Now that does not mean that the Terminator is going to happen
- 57:07overnight. Could we get to a point where it
- 57:09gets to Terminator levels of, you know AI.
- 57:14Yeah. But that's Like way off.
- 57:18In fact, because tragedy BT isn't going to be Skynet.
- 57:22And I can tell you why, because it's not that advanced actually.
- 57:26It's and Kurt said this, when he was on the show, a couple months
- 57:30back, right, Kurt Doolittle. It's literally, it's a really,
- 57:35really Advanced Markov chain bought, which is the simplest
- 57:39kind of chat bot that exists. All it does is it has a database
- 57:44of stuff and it uses all of that to model.
- 57:48A human speech back to us. That's all it really is at its
- 57:53core. It's looking through database,
- 57:56and it's learning how to, to talk to us.
- 57:59And that's why when it's great that you can have the
- 58:02conversations back and forth with chat GPT that's built-in on
- 58:05purpose, because if it says stuff, that doesn't make any
- 58:09sense, you'll say something right and learns from that it
- 58:13learns the best ways to word things, but it's still you.
- 58:16It's using a Bible of Set number of potential combinations of
- 58:21words how they be used in. It was all written by human,
- 58:25it's not actually thinking like you or I it's checking the
- 58:30database and giving a response to emulate human speech.
- 58:35That's it. And and this is why you can get
- 58:39the. We were talking about this off
- 58:40are you can get it to say that's against the rules and then it
- 58:43will immediately break those rules.
- 58:45Because it doesn't think like us, it doesn't have that That
- 58:48kind of chain of logic, it doesn't have a sense of time as
- 58:53well. It's as far as its concerned
- 58:57it's at a stagnant point in time because it's not capable of
- 59:01these kind of abstractions. It seems like it might be
- 59:07because to the untrained eye. It emulates human speech so
- 59:11well. That you think that that's what
- 59:14it's doing, but it's not, it's literally a chatbot, that's all
- 59:19it is. So, the way I think of like, AI
- 59:23technology specifically, we'll chat GPT, right because as
- 59:28someone who writes both professionally and as like a
- 59:31hobbyist, I basically use chat GPT as like a glorified virtual
- 59:37assistant / editor for one. I write stuff like, like the
- 59:44like, the next step of grammarly or something.
- 59:47Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah.
- 59:49What do I use as well? Not just grammarly, but also
- 59:53story. It's, which is like which
- 59:55stories is like a is like a story plot software?
- 1:00:01Like, okay. So what are you like?
- 1:00:05I wrote the I wrote this article on my experience of using AI as
- 1:00:11a disabled person, right? I wrote, I wrote a rough draft,
- 1:00:16And then I paste it into jagdeep Shaggy Beauty.
- 1:00:21And I'm like, restructure this as a as like a blog post and it
- 1:00:28got rid of a bunch of jargon and whirring this, I've been using
- 1:00:32it cranked, my, you know, punctuation and whatnot, which
- 1:00:36is pretty good. But still, I mean, it just
- 1:00:39proof. Read everything and made a lot
- 1:00:41tighter than was And one of those blog posts is what I was
- 1:00:46referencing, right? You made the blog post about
- 1:00:49using AI or some type of Technology.
- 1:00:53Yeah. Like like people got on their
- 1:00:54sand. I'm sure holding a pencil.
- 1:00:57Wasn't the easiest thing in the world for you?
- 1:00:59But text-to-speech probably opened up a lot of fucking
- 1:01:01doors. I like and I can tell you that
- 1:01:05it that it did and I mean I think And again, going back to
- 1:01:12my blog post. I don't think people like people
- 1:01:15think that the AI thing because of Chad GPT is brand-new but no
- 1:01:21in reality like I'll get a really you know he's example for
- 1:01:27some of the older you know what's nerves are in by older
- 1:01:29people. I mean people my age and you
- 1:01:32know Max adage but like if you grew up with if you ever use
- 1:01:38like an iPod or ever had to plug in like you know your mp3 player
- 1:01:43to a computer there was a database at one point that would
- 1:01:49like that would guests like songs that you should buy off
- 1:01:54the iTunes Store or off Amazon based on was already you know on
- 1:02:00your device. Now that was very limited you
- 1:02:05know verse Of AI. But that was still a, i
- 1:02:08nonetheless it was using an algorithm to like customizer to
- 1:02:13you. And that's still II.
- 1:02:17It might seem simple but it still fits the case.
- 1:02:21Hmm. You know, and in terms of like,
- 1:02:26text-to-speech, like the old software, like, like I had to
- 1:02:32train like the like Dragon speaks like, recognize my voice,
- 1:02:39like, our into, like recognize my, my new he wants.
- 1:02:44And it had like build a database Dragon.
- 1:02:48Yeah, Dragon speak. Back in the day, did all this
- 1:02:50stuff for those. That don't know.
- 1:02:52It was a software like that but it was A lot bigger learning
- 1:02:56curve. I utilized it in a middle
- 1:02:59school. The big thing was that you had
- 1:03:01to con, you had to teach it. Hmm, your voice.
- 1:03:05Yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah.
- 1:03:08And oh, yeah, well, let me tell you like, how it was.
- 1:03:11It was, it was really useful tool, but I will tell you how at
- 1:03:17certain points when I was in Middle School and the height one
- 1:03:20more in middle school, but like, even in high school a little
- 1:03:22bit, it got to be a real pain. Yeah, that's because because
- 1:03:27because your voice to changed a little and you had to retrain
- 1:03:31it. Yes it yes, exactly.
- 1:03:35And not and not just once not just on a monthly basis, it was
- 1:03:40like a weekly. Yes.
- 1:03:42That one point although stand. So it was it was like when it
- 1:03:46can be the most useful to somebody like you, right middle
- 1:03:49and high school, you know, that's when your voice is
- 1:03:52changing and it creates a whole new set of okay.
- 1:03:55Hey, I got to use the dragon speak.
- 1:03:57Today, I'm gonna have to retrain it.
- 1:04:00Yeah. Although to be fair like Despite
- 1:04:06all of the glitches, it all scream would like some hilarious
- 1:04:10going to strip one at one point like because I can't even I
- 1:04:15can't even remember what the word.
- 1:04:18I can remember what the initial word I was trying to say was,
- 1:04:21but with something like really innocuousness in innocent right?
- 1:04:26But because my voice had changed, I think it like
- 1:04:29translated whatever I was saying into like poison into like holy
- 1:04:35fuck. Curse only law like that.
- 1:04:38It was like some extra. So yeah.
- 1:04:43Yeah. And so the modern stuff is
- 1:04:45obviously leagues better in that.
- 1:04:47Like if you if you pick up, you know, most people got a phone
- 1:04:51and they can say a thing. You know, I'm not going to say
- 1:04:53the word this time. I know, I triggered people on
- 1:04:56previous episodes by saying Alexa, but um, Alexa play
- 1:05:02pornography, no. Sorry sorry you pick up your
- 1:05:09phone, you say the keyword to it and most of the time and gives
- 1:05:13you a close approximation of what you've said without too
- 1:05:17much fuckery. Where is it?
- 1:05:19The dragon speak. It was constantly tinkering
- 1:05:22constantly messing with it. By the way, joy that pouring
- 1:05:27guys, I'm sure Alexis helping you out.
- 1:05:31Well, and also not to mention, not to mention, you know, not to
- 1:05:35mention that. There was a lot of content
- 1:05:37changing also like the Dragon, Naturally Speaking, like, like
- 1:05:43when I first started using at least why, like, it was a
- 1:05:47thousand dollars just for the software itself.
- 1:05:51Now, eventually got cheaper with like each version and, you know,
- 1:05:56eventually basically like became obsolete once all the, you know,
- 1:06:01once all the devices, just had it built in.
- 1:06:06And it was pretty good but still.
- 1:06:10Hey Siri what is best score.com? I'm so sorry, I'm I apologize.
- 1:06:19Now see now? See this is why you use
- 1:06:22headphones when you podcast because that's right.
- 1:06:27Or when you're listening to us, I know, two guys that were
- 1:06:31roommates and they were talking about how the Alexa could listen
- 1:06:34to him. And says, Just started selling
- 1:06:36like making up fucked up, things about the other guy and tell him
- 1:06:40Alexa amazing. You know, and then they got done
- 1:06:46in there like, you know, that was probably not the best thing
- 1:06:49to do, you know? Yeah, you're probably was not
- 1:06:52the best thing to tell Alexa that your roommate is a kiddy
- 1:06:55diddler. Right?
- 1:07:01Well, I well, I well, again, this goes back to the whole
- 1:07:06thing of like of like, well, the government is spying on you and
- 1:07:12it's like, well, maybe they are but like, I would like I would
- 1:07:16almost feel sorry for the guy was like, watch.
- 1:07:21Like just like, oh our fed is is probably at his wits end because
- 1:07:27one we don't offer anything of value for him because, you know,
- 1:07:32strongly disavow violence and stuff like that.
- 1:07:36But to he has to like imagine reading our gilded server for
- 1:07:40one. By the way, if anybody wants to
- 1:07:42join the guild that server, right?
- 1:07:44Hey, come, come, come join. We have a good time, but imagine
- 1:07:47being that guy reading, just the memes and stupid.
- 1:07:50Inane bullshit conversations we have or me just given dad advice
- 1:07:55to people like like you're the fed and you're like this guy
- 1:07:59talking about joining boxing gym again, fuck's sake.
- 1:08:06Yeah, I feel from I actually like, I have some solidarity are
- 1:08:10fed. You know, I feel your pain,
- 1:08:14maybe you should get a real job. Yeah.
- 1:08:21Yeah. Well you know you know you know
- 1:08:29Like no, this is in turn shit right here.
- 1:08:35We don't even get an agent. Maybe not even an intern.
- 1:08:38We get like a druggie that they're trying.
- 1:08:40You know what I mean is like, watch this and tell us if
- 1:08:42anything bad happens. That's what we get.
- 1:08:45Well I like I'm assuming that my fed at this point is like it's
- 1:08:50like Sam I would donate to your show but I make less than you do
- 1:08:56and doing this. This doing this show, true.
- 1:09:03Yeah man, you go out and go out and don't don't do that for the
- 1:09:06government anymore. They don't appreciate you, we
- 1:09:08appreciate you. Yeah, you know what you really
- 1:09:12look, you lovingly read through everything.
- 1:09:14We're put, it were writing your listening to everything.
- 1:09:17You're our biggest fan. And as our biggest fan, I just
- 1:09:21want to say, you deserve better than what the government is
- 1:09:24treating you like. Yes, go get it.
- 1:09:28Job in the Private Industry. You'll feel better.
- 1:09:30I promise you paid not to Hey, at least at least with my always
- 1:09:37with the FED watching. Me, you've actually get into the
- 1:09:40like, see some attractive ladies at times instead of like,
- 1:09:44whatever, like, you know, non-binary propaganda, they're
- 1:09:52forcing you. Cui like on the government side
- 1:09:57so that's good. Always well I mean if they spy
- 1:09:59on you you know like at the old Playboys, they spy on me, they
- 1:10:03get the they get the thick Goblin chicks.
- 1:10:07So That sounds well yeah, probably not.
- 1:10:16In a fucking lecture lecture and talking about like 2009, like
- 1:10:28it, like it was recent that it was never-ending.
- 1:10:35No, it really was right because like we got the new Call Of Duty
- 1:10:39Modern Warfare and classic Wrath of the Lich King launched and
- 1:10:46New metal was on the charts. Yeah it was 2009 just like six
- 1:10:50months ago. What are you talking about?
- 1:10:54So sometimes it really does feel like that though.
- 1:10:58Well it should because 2009 really 2014 is where I think it
- 1:11:02really went off the rails but like 2009 is a great time
- 1:11:07capsule of what things used to be like like, we used to have.
- 1:11:12Yeah, we used to have stuff. It was good.
- 1:11:15Life was good. You know, you didn't have to be
- 1:11:18a political F slur all the time. Well, I mean, you know, like I
- 1:11:25had to say this like, as far as like, it's interesting that you
- 1:11:30say that because like as much as I did, as much as I dislike him,
- 1:11:36if I had to I would take Obama over by then in a heartbeat.
- 1:11:45Yeah, but that's not actually a choice.
- 1:11:47Like Biden is just Obama's third term.
- 1:11:51But what they had to accelerate it because they had four years
- 1:11:54of trump in between, but yeah, I know, Biden Biden or Hillary in
- 1:12:002016 would be pretty much identical.
- 1:12:02Just a continuation of those policies stacking federal
- 1:12:06agencies. Now, they want to Stack the IRS
- 1:12:08but they already stacked the FBI and the CIA under Obama.
- 1:12:11So it's not that much of a fucking stretch not and the IRS
- 1:12:15was already stacked with left-wingers to begin with.
- 1:12:18We know this because they literally just Went after
- 1:12:21right-wingers in 2012 when after the Tea Party and shit.
- 1:12:25So we kind of know that there are already stacked.
- 1:12:29Yeah, Biden's dream was to stack the court but, you know, he
- 1:12:35played it too close to the Sun and that's not going to happen.
- 1:12:38Unless on the off chance that Biden gets 80.
- 1:12:43He got what 81 million? They say, right?
- 1:12:4581 million illegal votes or whatever if he got 150 million
- 1:12:52next time he could totally stack the court and that's possible
- 1:12:56with the way they steal votes, you know, they they get do it.
- 1:13:01Oh, yeah, totally. We could get 70 million dead
- 1:13:04people. Voting next year.
- 1:13:05That's possible. It's I mean, all right, that's
- 1:13:12the big lie, right? We're not supposed to talk about
- 1:13:14that. Well, that would thank God for
- 1:13:18rumble where we can talk about true.
- 1:13:22That well, I mean, so going back to AI, this does tie it back in.
- 1:13:28I wasn't aware of this control this week, but but apparently
- 1:13:33Kamala Harris of all people is the new Tsar for a is like,
- 1:13:38Biden's new AR. Or let AI Tsar.
- 1:13:44It makes a lot of sense because she's an NPC.
- 1:13:47So she understands the inner workings of robots.
- 1:13:51Very well. I like it but no seriously.
- 1:14:00None of these people on like She's the Boomers and Technology
- 1:14:07go together like fucking oil and water dude and any Boomer and
- 1:14:11and like I know it's again when I talk about the Boomers stuff
- 1:14:15you know there's always going to be that one guy but like what my
- 1:14:17dad worked in the tech field I get it right you had the Boomer
- 1:14:20the understands Tech but then think about all the other
- 1:14:22Boomers you know, especially if your Tech guy like me, We you
- 1:14:26think this is, they're all like, hey you know how to fix
- 1:14:29computers, can you fix this? And they hand it to me and it's
- 1:14:31like covered in a fucking pain. A'ight.
- 1:14:34Cream, you open it up and there's a dead rat inside and
- 1:14:37they're like, oh, I don't know why it didn't work.
- 1:14:41Oh, and it's running and it's running Windows me for some
- 1:14:44reason. Boomers and technology in.
- 1:14:49This is why them legislating technology has been such a dmca
- 1:14:54is one of the worst ways that they could have dealt with
- 1:14:58copyright in the digital era. Yeah, but it was written in the
- 1:15:02early 2000s when we didn't really know, Oh, how the
- 1:15:04internet was going to grow by Boomers.
- 1:15:08It was written by Boomers, that think about that Boomers
- 1:15:11nowadays, have experienced like smartphones and like social
- 1:15:15media sites. Think about in the early 2000s,
- 1:15:19we didn't even have those things.
- 1:15:20And what was there? What was their exposure to the
- 1:15:23internet? Somebody would come in front of
- 1:15:24Congress and say my kid talked to a bad person on the internet
- 1:15:29like, oh, this is bad. We gonna like, don't let Boomers
- 1:15:34Legislate technology. We don't know if there's one
- 1:15:37thing I could suggest to the audience is for the most part on
- 1:15:43a local and and Congressional level, especially vote out
- 1:15:48Boomers and older, just vote him out, get him out of there, get
- 1:15:52him out of there, they don't understand the shit.
- 1:15:55They're legislating us into Corners that we can't get out of
- 1:16:02Like the band Tick Tock thing. It's like, yeah, we got a band
- 1:16:05Tick-Tock. Also, we got to have
- 1:16:06unprecedented spying power on you.
- 1:16:09That's Boomer shit right there. That's what they do.
- 1:16:12Yep. Well, because, well, yeah,
- 1:16:15because they filled the bill could could have been, you know,
- 1:16:18hey Chinese corporations, can't sell the shit.
- 1:16:23On a they can't sell their Digital Services.
- 1:16:28All right. It's like a literal like a
- 1:16:30one-page bill. Instead it's like no, the head
- 1:16:33of the Trade Commission needs to be the one to unanimously
- 1:16:37fucking decide. Well, yeah, well it meanwhile to
- 1:16:44show that you're not violating this.
- 1:16:46Yeah we need to look at everything.
- 1:16:49You ever Post online and also they even tried an amendment for
- 1:16:54it for real ID for the internet. So no more anonymity which is
- 1:16:58the most by the way. Most unconstitutional thing.
- 1:17:00You can think of Common Sense by Thomas Paine.
- 1:17:05Now we know it's Thomas Paine. Now, originally published by
- 1:17:08Anonymous sparked the revolution.
- 1:17:11That founded, this country was an anonymous treat see on the
- 1:17:18monarchy, right? And the reason it was Anonymous
- 1:17:20it's is because saying that out loud, the king could have you
- 1:17:24beheaded, so it you had to be anonymous.
- 1:17:28If you have, you know, this goes back to hold the whole right to
- 1:17:31offend thing. I'm glad that people have been
- 1:17:32sharing around my old video of that, because the speech is so
- 1:17:35good. We have to have this kind of
- 1:17:39speech that offends and up. Ends the Orthodoxy because
- 1:17:43that's how we move forward. Yeah, if you censor unpopular
- 1:17:48speech, that's just tyranny. That's what it is.
- 1:17:52If you censor your people that speak out against you because
- 1:17:55though their offensive to the tradition in the status quo,
- 1:17:58this is why I don't want to kill commies, you know?
- 1:18:00Just for being commies. I'd rather argue against commies
- 1:18:04right. The problem is is that commies
- 1:18:06take it to the streets. Commies take it to a physical
- 1:18:08level is so unfortunately. A lot of times you only way to
- 1:18:12deal with communist, you know, regimes or like, you know,
- 1:18:16extremist groups is through violence, unfortunately, because
- 1:18:19they're violent, but ideally, I don't give a fuck if you want to
- 1:18:23talk about the Communist Manifesto, right?
- 1:18:26Because you know I don't think that's going to move us forward
- 1:18:30but cutting you off. I'm probably going to cut off
- 1:18:33ten other people that might move us forward, right?
- 1:18:36It's just You have to be able to talk about this shit and that's
- 1:18:40why the first amendment is so goddamn important.
- 1:18:42It wasn't there to protect popular speech.
- 1:18:44You don't have to protect popular speech, people do that
- 1:18:47organically, you have to protect unpopular speech.
- 1:18:51And yes, that includes hate speech.
- 1:18:53Unfortunately, whether you like it or not, well, one has like
- 1:18:59this goes back to the whole thing with like, with AI and
- 1:19:02why, you know, like You know, and I was thinking at this Max
- 1:19:08because like originally I was on like Elon Musk side of
- 1:19:12Regulation. But then I went back to like our
- 1:19:15podcast, what you said about, why it should, why shouldn't it
- 1:19:19be regulated? The argument for them basically
- 1:19:23for congress, why Congress wants to regulate it is basically for
- 1:19:28the well, it might potentially say bad words and offend someone
- 1:19:34which is which is Is the were again Boomers.
- 1:19:38Don't understand how is how this works.
- 1:19:42So and what the potential to Ilan was talking about there is
- 1:19:48real the potential for it to be used misused for propaganda.
- 1:19:52Which is why it should just be neutral if it is neutral and we
- 1:19:56can use it for propaganda. They can use it for propaganda.
- 1:19:59Everybody can use it for propaganda, then it sits on
- 1:20:02equal footing. Unfortunately, the other thing
- 1:20:04is Is the problem you face with regulation just period, right?
- 1:20:09Any regulation, the people who are lobbying for it, have a
- 1:20:13vested interest in it. Elon Musk doesn't need to break
- 1:20:17into the AI business. So it's real easy for him to
- 1:20:21say, oh, we should put up all these regulations.
- 1:20:23But what have you had a really? Really great day.
- 1:20:26I start up thing and now all these regulations have put, such
- 1:20:30an undue financial burden, on the things that you need to do,
- 1:20:35You're cut out of the market. That's why they fucking do it.
- 1:20:38Yeah, that. Yeah.
- 1:20:39And that and that, that was literally the yarn I heard from
- 1:20:43David Sachs yesterday, as to why regulating AI is a bad idea.
- 1:20:48Because, right, open a, I open a.i. the Konya.
- 1:20:54The owns Chad DP G PT. They're saying regulate us, but
- 1:20:59the reason why they're saying regulate us is, so they said
- 1:21:02that they in Microsoft and Google and a Apple can all build
- 1:21:06this. Like, what ammo around?
- 1:21:09I took they can have all the licenses.
- 1:21:14None of these other startups can, well, and we've seen this
- 1:21:18in the tech field before. That's how I know it's not a
- 1:21:21theory. It's a fact, it's called
- 1:21:23Comcast. Everybody heard a Comcast as the
- 1:21:26good man, Trump says con cast. What do they do?
- 1:21:31What did they do? They regulated the cable
- 1:21:34industry over years and years. They lobbied for all these
- 1:21:36regulations surrounding wires. Ownership of the wires, laying
- 1:21:41the wires, things that you Couldn't use their wires without
- 1:21:45a deal that with them and the FTC.
- 1:21:48So that's why. And then some municipalities
- 1:21:52basically just said, fuck that. And they took the fucking wires
- 1:21:56for the town or whatever. And so that's why you have like
- 1:21:58local IPS and isps and shit. But generally speaking Comcast,
- 1:22:05the only people who can create an alternative to Comcast in
- 1:22:09most places is the local municipality, because it's a
- 1:22:12government. But if you're a small company
- 1:22:14and you wanted to start up a cable or Internet, providing
- 1:22:18company. Comcast is regulated.
- 1:22:21You out of the market. You need you needed like a 500
- 1:22:23million market cap to get in there boy.
- 1:22:25And you need to have all their regulations met for your service
- 1:22:30and the frequency it travels on and blah blah blah blah blah to
- 1:22:34send it over there wires and they own the wires and they can
- 1:22:37just say no. And they lobbied for this
- 1:22:40situation, the gives them a pseudo Monopoly.
- 1:22:42This wasn't something. Thing that organically happened.
- 1:22:45This was something. They, they lobbied out all of
- 1:22:48the competition and all the smaller cable companies, do and
- 1:22:51even some of the larger ones like AT&T, at one point, once
- 1:22:55they hit a rough patch, Comcast is like, a-ha, we can buy them
- 1:23:00out and then use their lobbyists to do even more.
- 1:23:04This is what's going to happen with AI.
- 1:23:06If you got, if you push for regulation in AI, what you're
- 1:23:09going to get is companies like open a.i., Microsoft Google.
- 1:23:13Are going to push the regulations that benefit them
- 1:23:16and keep everybody out out of the market because and it's in
- 1:23:20their best interest to do so. Why would they want other
- 1:23:24competition in the market? It doesn't, it doesn't help them
- 1:23:29in the least right now. I mean, I mean, you know, people
- 1:23:34of its kind of a meme now, but it's also true that Sam Altman.
- 1:23:40Should rename open AI to closed AI because that's exactly I mean
- 1:23:47it's not open at all. It used to be but it's not
- 1:23:53right. And what you're seeing is the
- 1:23:55formation of not a monopoly on AI but a cartel Microsoft and
- 1:24:01Google and you know all of these companies don't step on each
- 1:24:07other's toes. They step on the little guys
- 1:24:10toes, they're all cool with saying.
- 1:24:13Okay, you can have your Google barred and will have chat.
- 1:24:16GPT, and with, you know, all of these things.
- 1:24:19But they they're working together.
- 1:24:21They're cooperating to close the market off forever.
- 1:24:23It's called a cartel, it's like the oldest economic principle
- 1:24:27next, to a monopoly. And yeah, and they express this
- 1:24:31cartel in multiple other ways. Of course, Twitter is not kind
- 1:24:34of a part of the cartel now person right now, but but, but
- 1:24:38they were, but it was for a long time like, you know, and even if
- 1:24:45it was I would say it was like the Beating Heart of the cartel
- 1:24:48actually, well, so you know as much as people Dislike them and
- 1:24:57not like I I wasn't to Mark Zuckerberg last interview on
- 1:25:03Rogan because like the creepy robot robot man or not.
- 1:25:10II still think it's worthwhile hearing what he has to say and
- 1:25:14basically you know before you on body was like yeah I'm not
- 1:25:19really I don't even really even see Twitter as like Facebook's
- 1:25:25Competitor. Really?
- 1:25:28I mean that that was what Zuckerberg said like a year ago.
- 1:25:35So yeah. Yeah.
- 1:25:38But you know the people pushing for regulation, there's actually
- 1:25:43I hate, I hate PC Gamer. They're there they're awful but
- 1:25:49there is an interesting title to an article that they put out
- 1:25:52today and it kind of speaks to what I'm talking about and it's
- 1:25:56one of those points where we can actually find some common ground
- 1:25:59with lefties because they kind of see that it's a scam to when
- 1:26:04they put out an article like this, AI industry beg someone to
- 1:26:08Stop the AI industry before. All human life is extinguished
- 1:26:12by the AI industry. Now, They understand that if
- 1:26:17it's the AI industry asking for regulations, but maybe it's not
- 1:26:21a great thing and the humorous way they phrase it there is two
- 1:26:27kind of point to they want regulation but they don't trust
- 1:26:30the AI people to do the regulating.
- 1:26:32But guess what? PC Gamer, who the fuck do you
- 1:26:35think is gonna do the regulating?
- 1:26:38Oh the FTC the ftc's going to do it?
- 1:26:41Yeah they of course they're gonna do it and they're going to
- 1:26:43have a meeting about it. They're going to have one of
- 1:26:46those hearings. And on this side they're going
- 1:26:48to have all the people from Google.
- 1:26:49And on this side they're going to have all the people from
- 1:26:51Microsoft and then they maybe they going to have the open a I
- 1:26:54fucking CEO come in and testify and they're all going to agree
- 1:26:58on what the regulations should be.
- 1:27:00And then the Boomers TC are going to say yeah, I will do all
- 1:27:02that. They're not going to come in
- 1:27:04with people that oppose regulation, they're not going to
- 1:27:07come in with A small start-up guy that has this great AI thing
- 1:27:11that he's not broken into the market with yet.
- 1:27:14They're going to ask Microsoft and Google and that's it.
- 1:27:19Well, and it's funny because that is exactly what happened.
- 1:27:23I guess. Sam Altman was, you know, in
- 1:27:27Congress? I guess like, two weeks ago,
- 1:27:30talking Ai and basically, like from what I heard on the island
- 1:27:35podcast, Sam Altman. Basically did just that he was
- 1:27:41like, Hey, I don't trust AI. But hey, why don't you like, why
- 1:27:47don't you fund a commission? You know, our panel a government
- 1:27:52panel and oh, by the way, I'll be like the head, the head
- 1:27:58liaison from Saucon Valley, so If you have like you've been
- 1:28:05understood economics in regulation over a longer time
- 1:28:09scale and I think this is a problem I come across a lot of
- 1:28:12younger guys is they don't have the time scale to know this
- 1:28:15stuff like in there and they a lot of their experience has been
- 1:28:19in this kind of bubble of misinformation that we live in
- 1:28:23now. But like, you could see over
- 1:28:26time, they did this with the internet, originally in the 90s,
- 1:28:29they did this with Telecommunications and the 80s,
- 1:28:34right? Breaking up Ma Bell and all that
- 1:28:35stuff. They did it with or the 70s or
- 1:28:38whatever, they did it with the the railroad industry, the
- 1:28:42railroad industry and the Rockefellers got to regulate
- 1:28:44themselves and wouldn't you know it only Rockefellers owned
- 1:28:47railroads wow you know things like that.
- 1:28:53You know, and we could say a lot about the quote-unquote robber
- 1:28:57barons, I would defend them in a lot of ways to, but in terms of
- 1:29:00Regulation, look, if you're a business owner like if I if I
- 1:29:04run Comcast, it is in my shareholders best interest for
- 1:29:09me to do this cartel bit and get the government to regulate the
- 1:29:12little guys out of the market. Because that's going to drive up
- 1:29:15my share prices. And so, you can't have these
- 1:29:18companies doing it. You have to have politicians
- 1:29:21doing it. The problem is when we say,
- 1:29:23Being well. What is lobbying?
- 1:29:26Really mean? It's not just going and asking
- 1:29:29Congress, okay? Lobbying also means sending them
- 1:29:33on vacation, taking them out to dinner, buying champagne, having
- 1:29:39a party. Where you invite all the
- 1:29:40Senators to bribery is what we're talking about legal
- 1:29:46bribery. Yeah, well and well and I was
- 1:29:50like I was saying like stem Altman might not ever like run
- 1:29:54for political office, but like I said earlier, like he he wants
- 1:29:59to be on this, you know, commission, so to speak, which
- 1:30:03means that he does have a point of Interest, even if it's just
- 1:30:06basically like all business interest.
- 1:30:09Well, basically like all these tech people that they do want to
- 1:30:14be bureaucrats government, bureaucrats to Without the
- 1:30:18election process and having to campaign and whatnot.
- 1:30:23So, like in a weird way, they're asking for government jobs even
- 1:30:28though they don't, they don't need it.
- 1:30:31So, government jobs come in handy but they they don't need
- 1:30:34it. But get piles onto the pile of
- 1:30:36fucking Coke gold that they got going on, right?
- 1:30:40Because and then they use these kind of positions and references
- 1:30:43to move up the ladder. I mean, this is how soft power
- 1:30:45works. But all I'm saying, is you with
- 1:30:50your letting Boomers regulated especially this is what I would
- 1:30:54say, if we're going to regulate AI at all, it needs to not be
- 1:30:58done by a bunch of Boomers, don't even understand how to use
- 1:31:01Facebook. Right.
- 1:31:03Right now. And that that was that was
- 1:31:06again, that was sacked as other point was like, and this is kind
- 1:31:12of the point that I've taken to. Like, I don't, I don't I want AI
- 1:31:17to be regulated. Next is I agree with you, why
- 1:31:20it's bad, but my feeling is, well, it's going to get it's
- 1:31:24probably going to go regulate and anyway, so can we at least
- 1:31:28get regulated by someone who understands what AI is and who
- 1:31:32isn't still asking, what is a sub stack?
- 1:31:38Does it stack upon Fangs and, you know, I was just a
- 1:31:45newsletter. Like if you're going to regulate
- 1:31:50something at least understand it.
- 1:31:53Well, I mean most of these people you see them on Twitter
- 1:31:56and it's not that many way right there Boomers and they just have
- 1:31:59an assistant, who's a social media person, right?
- 1:32:02It does all the I mean the B Administration does this Joe
- 1:32:05Biden's? Twitter is not Joe Biden.
- 1:32:09Like I think I don't think anybody would dispute that it is
- 1:32:12right? Chumps was Trump's.
- 1:32:14You could tell yeah, yeah, you could.
- 1:32:18Tell what was Trump and then you could tell when it was, you
- 1:32:22know, the unofficial or know the the official like the card by
- 1:32:28The Encore fo sound and stuff. That was more low-key was
- 1:32:31definitely somebody in his is circle but Trump was, you know,
- 1:32:35you can tell is he, he did Miss Cafe, you know?
- 1:32:42And which could happen to anybody, you know.
- 1:32:46All I'm saying is they don't understand, even basic shit,
- 1:32:49like Twitter and Facebook, and even YouTube to a large degree.
- 1:32:53Like you remember a few years ago, the whole Elsa gate thing
- 1:32:57and they had hearings on that, right?
- 1:33:00Yeah. Yeah, I do remember that and the
- 1:33:03solution that they came up to it was like to basically, you know,
- 1:33:08tyrannical, Iron Fist the whole internet because Think of the
- 1:33:14children, right? And it was like, well, no, like
- 1:33:17here was the real issue with the Elsa gate, like at a very basic
- 1:33:22level, is that it was listed under the YouTube kids, which is
- 1:33:26a separate app on phones and tablets.
- 1:33:30That is specifically supposed to be curated for children and they
- 1:33:36were having explicit sexual content, explicit, violent,
- 1:33:39content, content of focused on. They'd have hooks to get the
- 1:33:45kids in like Spider-Man impregnates, Elsa.
- 1:33:48Well, kids are curious about where babies come from, right?
- 1:33:51And that's what gets them in the door shots.
- 1:33:55They have a lot of videos about shots or toilets or farting,
- 1:33:59right? But and then and because they
- 1:34:01get clicks that way because little kids little kids and ah
- 1:34:05the Joker farted on Spider-Man. Ha ha ha, right?
- 1:34:09And they'll watch it five thousand fucking times.
- 1:34:12But in in Video 2 is some way more questionable shit than
- 1:34:16that. This is all on the fucking
- 1:34:18YouTube kids at including graphic violence and sex and
- 1:34:22pedophilia. All of this is on the YouTube
- 1:34:25kids app. Actually, I would argue that it
- 1:34:28was more the wild west than regular YouTube.
- 1:34:31Because if we said a cuss word, we're getting demonetized in
- 1:34:34these people have billions of years on this disgusting videos
- 1:34:39and so the problem was you should not advertise your as
- 1:34:43being curated for children. If it's not and it was not
- 1:34:48curated, they can argue till they're blue in the face.
- 1:34:52That it's too hard to curate that much content.
- 1:34:54Then don't do the kids at because I'll tell you right now,
- 1:34:59I got one of them in Amazon Fire kids tabs because it has the
- 1:35:03exact opposite type of parental control of like most tablets,
- 1:35:08right? And Amazon people say a lot of
- 1:35:10bad things about Amazon day actually.
- 1:35:13Curate their kids content one so far.
- 1:35:16I found very little objectionable content
- 1:35:19politically, but more than that, there's a whole nother set of
- 1:35:23content. That's inappropriate for
- 1:35:25children that has nothing to do with politics, that people seem
- 1:35:27to forget about also not on the Amazon app, not in any of the
- 1:35:31games that it has. Curated, not in any of the TV
- 1:35:35shows and cartoons, not in any of the movies, not in any of the
- 1:35:38websites that it allows kids to go to everything is curated and
- 1:35:43you can set the age range of the kid using the device.
- 1:35:46You can set how long the kids going to be able to allow screen
- 1:35:50time II. Have it strictly limited same
- 1:35:53thing with my Xbox, right? So these this is possible like I
- 1:35:58have he's got a kid's account on the Xbox series X.
- 1:36:02I have complete control of it. I can open up my phone and in go
- 1:36:06to the Xbox Family app. See what he's playing right now.
- 1:36:10He's not playing. He's in bed, but what he's
- 1:36:12playing. And what he what apps he's
- 1:36:16looked at if he's gone to an advertisement, if he tries to
- 1:36:20buy anything, it immediately sends an alert to my phone and
- 1:36:23ask say, do you want to give him some money to buy this?
- 1:36:26And usually, that answer is fucking know, the kids got more
- 1:36:29games than God, it's got the game pass and then grandma keeps
- 1:36:33buying them. Fucking disc games which I don't
- 1:36:35even It drives me nuts because he had he wants to change games
- 1:36:41so often it's like, hey Dad, I need your help.
- 1:36:44You know, you guys have been in voice with me when he says he
- 1:36:47comes down, he's like, Dad. I need your help and I gotta go
- 1:36:49run half the time. I'm changing his fucking game
- 1:36:51disc regardless. Even if he puts a disc in of a
- 1:36:56game that he's not allowed to watch or play, it's just going
- 1:37:00to tell him no, and he's going to send an alert to my phone,
- 1:37:04right? It's not hard to curate this
- 1:37:06content. So looked you know to Circle
- 1:37:09back to what the point of this all was YouTube.
- 1:37:11Absolutely, could put out a kids app with curated content
- 1:37:15instead, they put out a kid zap, full of disgusting to almost
- 1:37:20anybody sensibilities. Not just like, oh, left Winger.
- 1:37:24Would everybody found it fucking weird and disgusting right?
- 1:37:27There was Universal like this is horrific and then the answer to
- 1:37:32the fucking was was to create an app, an act of Congress that
- 1:37:37would essentially sensor the whole goddamn internet and it's
- 1:37:40like but that's not the fucking problem.
- 1:37:42Bro. The problem is if you branded
- 1:37:45this as a curated children's app it needs ya generated.
- 1:37:52And if you're not going to curate it don't fucking do it.
- 1:37:56No well yeah right well and then you know trust doesn't have a
- 1:38:00dildo shelf, you know what I mean?
- 1:38:03You know, walking to Toys R Us and be like, hey where's the
- 1:38:05fucking Fleshlight section? Goddamn it shit gets me so mad.
- 1:38:13It's so easy. It's so easy for these
- 1:38:15companies. Will he create pop parental
- 1:38:18controls that work in our effective and the parents happy
- 1:38:22with. Now you have to get the parents
- 1:38:24to use them for them to be happy with them.
- 1:38:26A lot of parents, don't carry any other kids content?
- 1:38:28That's fine for them but for anybody who doesn't want their
- 1:38:32kid watching Spider-Man impregnate Elsa in the butt.
- 1:38:37You don't need to fucking shut. The whole internet down to do
- 1:38:40that. You just need to say oh, YouTube
- 1:38:41kids, huh? You either need to fucking make
- 1:38:44it actually for kids or not have it.
- 1:38:46And if you have it and it's not fucking well, it's not for
- 1:38:49children, then we can find you easy simple and them.
- 1:38:54Well. And then the other problem to
- 1:38:55though, was Okay, so that whole thing with YouTube kids was used
- 1:39:02to justify a bunch of other hand.
- 1:39:07Had nothing to do with it. Literally nothing to do with
- 1:39:12Elsa gate at all in all of their like, you know, we also need
- 1:39:15real ID for the internet. And we also need fucking let's
- 1:39:20bring back fucking sopa and pipa and all this fucking shit.
- 1:39:24No, you just need to say, hey if you make a kid zap, it better be
- 1:39:29for fucking kids. If it's not for kids, we're
- 1:39:31going to drag you in front of the FTC and ask you why that
- 1:39:35you're lying to Children. Also don't collect children's
- 1:39:39data as such that was real simple.
- 1:39:42That's all they had to fucking do to deal with this fucking
- 1:39:45problem. Don't collect children stated
- 1:39:46like that. That because that was another
- 1:39:48part of the problem. They were collecting children's
- 1:39:50birth dates. Collecting their names.
- 1:39:53Locations, IP addresses things like that.
- 1:39:55Of course. Tick Tock still does all that,
- 1:39:58by the way. Yeah, so nothing has really
- 1:40:01changed, but then also, if you make a kid zap, It should be for
- 1:40:06kids and if it's not we're going to find you like 80 million
- 1:40:10dollars. Every time we find a violation
- 1:40:12that shit ends. Like that, that's a regulation.
- 1:40:15That would make sense. Of course that wasn't even in
- 1:40:18the any of the proposals. It wasn't even suggested no none
- 1:40:23of it. And that's why we need to vote
- 1:40:27out Boomers. Yeah, that's you know that.
- 1:40:35Well, I can have said it any better myself.
- 1:40:38Yeah, I mean in all in all seriousness, like that whole
- 1:40:42YouTube kids thing, What specifically to YouTube, right?
- 1:40:48It went to a bunch of different stuff on the internet was bad
- 1:40:51too, but that whole over action went to channels like mine.
- 1:41:02Being justified from for banishment because we, we were
- 1:41:06posting questionable content regarding vaccines or January 6,
- 1:41:12like II know it's like that's when all that stuff really
- 1:41:15started was because of Elsa gay. So yeah.
- 1:41:19Well then they really speed. They transferred over to fucking
- 1:41:23are misinformation. It's like okay, one, if you
- 1:41:28consider misinformation a problem and again, I'm almost
- 1:41:33free speech absolutist in most cases but if you want that kind
- 1:41:39of stuff to be dealt with, that's a separate issue from
- 1:41:43from the YouTube kids app, right?
- 1:41:46But they everything together. Oh, misinformation and we need a
- 1:41:51Ministry of Truth and which like most 1984 shit you ever heard,
- 1:41:57but the Biden Administration decided the 1984 Was a handbook.
- 1:42:02And here we are and nothing got a job for real.
- 1:42:06Those Elsa videos are still there, by the way, what
- 1:42:10happened? Yeah, yeah I know what happened
- 1:42:12was is parents stop using the YouTube kids app.
- 1:42:16Unfortunately, a lot of parents just let their kids watch
- 1:42:18regular YouTube. On their phones and shit.
- 1:42:23Well, I mean completely unknown supervised, right?
- 1:42:28Yeah. And that's the real problem.
- 1:42:30You know we don't allow my son. YouTube at all like he doesn't
- 1:42:34do YouTube. He's seven like no way.
- 1:42:38I know people that have three year olds and they sit them in
- 1:42:40front of a tablet all day. Watching goddamn, Coco melon and
- 1:42:43shit. Yeah, yeah yeah.
- 1:42:45Come on Mase the problem is is the recommended, right?
- 1:42:48The next video, the autoplays that's recommended.
- 1:42:51Leads you to the next thing. And the next thing and the next
- 1:42:54thing. And next thing, you know, your
- 1:42:56kid is watching actual like horrific violence.
- 1:43:03I mean it laughs but it's just like, it's so like, it's
- 1:43:09pathetic. It's pathetic like contrast that
- 1:43:12to my mom who, like, I would watch videos when I was a kid
- 1:43:18that were, like, actual video tapes on like, you know, unlike
- 1:43:23fire like I'm like fire trucks and like you know, in like even
- 1:43:30even that like like she would watch those videos with me to
- 1:43:35make sure that they were like, okay and what not like and that
- 1:43:39that was back in the 90s when you had to like actually put
- 1:43:42like you know, tapes into the actual Well, you had to go, you
- 1:43:48had to go to the video store, to get them.
- 1:43:51And now look at the video store, there was a section for kids
- 1:43:54tapes. In the back room was a section
- 1:43:56for fucking pornography. They didn't put the photography
- 1:43:59with the fucking kids tapes. That's all this is right.
- 1:44:06That's why I use the example of walking in a Toys R Us looking
- 1:44:09for the flashlights, right? Because that's what they're
- 1:44:11doing. Well, but what I'm saying there
- 1:44:13to is like Part of is on YouTube.
- 1:44:17Yes. But part of his also on the
- 1:44:19parents, you know, because, well, like I said, like my mom
- 1:44:26and my dad, like, at least put like effort into, you know, like
- 1:44:34what I, you know, watch and I played, I mean, like, now
- 1:44:38granted. I mean, like my dad didn't want
- 1:44:40me playing Grand Theft Auto and I, you know, I got around that
- 1:44:45played anyway. Hey look, kids are gonna get
- 1:44:47into stuff that you would not like them.
- 1:44:49To the problem is is is how easy it is to do if you're not paying
- 1:44:55attention. I am.
- 1:44:57Oh yeah, years and years ago, I did a podcast with a good good
- 1:45:01longtime friend of mine, Augustus Invictus and he's got
- 1:45:05like 11 kids or something like that.
- 1:45:07And one of the things we talked about which made that interview
- 1:45:11really special, to me, it's one of my favorites of all time that
- 1:45:15I've done. We talked about this, there is
- 1:45:18nobody to teach us just like we talking about Boomers regulating
- 1:45:22things. We are the first generations of
- 1:45:24parents in the digital age and there is no guide book.
- 1:45:29There's no guide post on how you deal with it and a lot of people
- 1:45:33just don't and they don't think about it and they give their
- 1:45:36kids a tablet or a phone with unfettered access to the
- 1:45:39internet that is their fault. However, when it's well, when
- 1:45:43it's the YouTube kids app, You know?
- 1:45:46Yeah, the future that's YouTube's fault.
- 1:45:48They need to curate that. Because what they're saying to
- 1:45:50parents is you don't got to worry, we got this.
- 1:45:54We curated this already for you and they didn't, they're lying.
- 1:46:00well, it's that but also like Like how like what I've noticed
- 1:46:08is this new this new generation of parents.
- 1:46:14They seem to and again, not every parent, but I've noticed
- 1:46:19that like, they have this weird like cognitive dissonance where
- 1:46:24it's like. Okay, Mom.
- 1:46:27I know how to use a smartphone effectively, and I know how to
- 1:46:31use a tablet effectively there. For my kids will know how to use
- 1:46:37it, responsibly coming out of the womb.
- 1:46:43That's not a process though. You got the thought process, you
- 1:46:47got you've identified the problem.
- 1:46:49But here's the thought process, the thought process is if I put
- 1:46:53them in front of the goddamn tablet, they shut the fuck up.
- 1:46:58That's the thought process. It's a digital babysitter for a
- 1:47:02lot of people. And the problem is, is tablets
- 1:47:07are actually like more addictive to Children than television.
- 1:47:12Oh yeah, we by the nature of it being involved in stuff and and
- 1:47:17some kids obviously won't use it.
- 1:47:19That's why I say we have a limit on screen time here, right?
- 1:47:23For the boy, and we go out and play.
- 1:47:25And we do normal stuff, but he's allowed some screen time.
- 1:47:30A lot of parents chart, its thoughtful about this as I am.
- 1:47:33And I understand that but often tell the problem that you're
- 1:47:37identifying is just them being lazy parents and they're like,
- 1:47:41well, Right? If I didn't give him the tablet
- 1:47:44with the Sonic, the Hedgehog movie, what would he be doing?
- 1:47:47Running around throwing things being being rambunctious little
- 1:47:52kid because little kids are rambunctious, all of them across
- 1:47:55the board, some are more calm than others, some are not calm
- 1:47:59but little kids will run around get into shit.
- 1:48:02Yell scream cry you know shit they're fucking pants, all of
- 1:48:08that stuff happens. That's real life.
- 1:48:10Kids R kids man. It's both like a pain in the ass
- 1:48:13in an absolute. The greatest joy I've ever had.
- 1:48:16In my life, it is a lot easier to sit the kid in front of a
- 1:48:20fucking tablet. It's, I do have to go the extra
- 1:48:24steps to not just do that eight you know eight to 12 hours a day
- 1:48:29when he's at home from school. He's just playing with the
- 1:48:31fucking tablet. Well one if he does that, he's
- 1:48:34going to get fat too. He's actually not that
- 1:48:36interested like he plays his tablet, he loves his tablet, he
- 1:48:40plays some games on it. He watches like Marvel, fucking
- 1:48:43Lego stuff, or whatever, and then he wants to go down to the
- 1:48:46park and play with the other kids.
- 1:48:48You know what? I need a balla.
- 1:48:50I like I don't want to ask too much like personal information
- 1:48:55but if if I were to bet you anything I bet your son has a
- 1:49:00pretty fantastic imagination. Yeah, very much so and CI he
- 1:49:06loves telling stories his new game.
- 1:49:09When he meets other kids like at the park is that there's a snake
- 1:49:13flying snake, chasing them and at first, they'll be like, what
- 1:49:16are you talking about? And he's just so insistent that
- 1:49:19within five minutes, they're all running away from the Can snake.
- 1:49:23Yeah, I mean I I mean I was I was the same way with my
- 1:49:28friends. We would all play like you know
- 1:49:30super sometimes we would like play Call of Duty or something.
- 1:49:35Right on the, you know, on the Xbox or Playstation or what have
- 1:49:39you and then we would like go and play like you know, Call of
- 1:49:45Duty and real. You know, I side with like, you
- 1:49:50know, water guns or hell even sticks when I, when I, when I
- 1:49:55refer to my childhood in the games that we play, NES is more.
- 1:50:00What comes to mind? But yeah, right, we play some of
- 1:50:03those games on NES and but also like, we all were outside all
- 1:50:08the fucking time. The only time, we touched our
- 1:50:10any yeses was after Sundown. And after dinner, when we had to
- 1:50:15go inside. Anyway, like Like I lived
- 1:50:18outside. It's a kid.
- 1:50:19Basically, our parents never knew where we were until we
- 1:50:22fucking came in at night and you can't really do that nowadays,
- 1:50:27if you let your kid run free like that, somebody will call
- 1:50:29Child Services on you because people are Karen's and
- 1:50:32busybodies and yeah, whatever. But I take him to the park, you
- 1:50:37know? And and when I'm at the part,
- 1:50:40you know, the wife's a little more Hands-On, but when I'm at
- 1:50:42the park, I'm just going to sit there and watch.
- 1:50:45Well, I'm not sure. I mean that that's how Was, you
- 1:50:48know, dads. But I mean like, but the other
- 1:50:52thing too is in my city that Aaron is not as much as you
- 1:50:56think. Like, I am, I do stand out from
- 1:51:00a lot of that. That's because they involved a
- 1:51:06lot of times, or they're not there at all.
- 1:51:09Well, 9i, I know that but also like You don't see a lot of dads
- 1:51:17at the park these days. I'm the one.
- 1:51:19Yeah. Now, that's or school events,
- 1:51:23right? I'm like the one dad at all, the
- 1:51:25school events, but to be fair on that respect there during the
- 1:51:30day and I work from home. So, I can swing it.
- 1:51:34I work for myself, I work from home, I make my own hours.
- 1:51:37I can go down. He had like a I think I
- 1:51:39mentioned it last week a fundraiser where they run to
- 1:51:42raise money for the school or whatever and I went down there
- 1:51:44cheering him on not every dad can go at 1 p.m. in the
- 1:51:48afternoon to the school. Totally understand that.
- 1:51:50But they don't go to the PTO meetings.
- 1:51:52They don't go to the nighttime events.
- 1:51:55You don't see a lot of dads and and again that's anecdotal from
- 1:51:59my experience, but it does it is right?
- 1:52:03Thing that I see. No, yeah.
- 1:52:05And I don't, I don't think you're on my point.
- 1:52:08Overall, those is in general, it seems like both you and your
- 1:52:13wife are very involved in your son's life and, and all these
- 1:52:19parents who are just letting the tablet and then the school
- 1:52:24system raised our kids, they're not developed.
- 1:52:28Now, I could be looking at this from a really cynical like
- 1:52:31viewpoint But they're just their wedding, the technology raise
- 1:52:36their kids and they're not developing memories of their
- 1:52:40it's not even cynical. It's, I did a video, you know,
- 1:52:44the thing is whenever I do important videos, nobody watches
- 1:52:48them but I did a video on the effect of specifically.
- 1:52:52It was about Tick-Tock but social media in General, on the
- 1:52:57memory in children and it objectively scrolling tick-tock.
- 1:53:02Reduces thirteen-year-olds, attention spans.
- 1:53:08So these things are causing harm.
- 1:53:12Yeah, that doesn't surprise me at all. yeah, I mean You know, I
- 1:53:22get like, it's really it really does Boggle.
- 1:53:29My mind to think, how far we've come technologically in such a
- 1:53:34short time because I just graduated high school, like, 10
- 1:53:39years ago, I just got a notification on Facebook for my
- 1:53:44high school classes, 10-year reunions like the other day or
- 1:53:48something. Right?
- 1:53:49When that when I Was in high school.
- 1:53:53All, we have all we had at the time was Facebook and Twitter
- 1:54:00and Instagram had just come out, but wasn't we had we had
- 1:54:06geocities and Napster when I was in high school.
- 1:54:11Yeah, and notice, those aren't really social media, right?
- 1:54:15Social media is a very New Concept and this is what I was
- 1:54:18getting at with the Augustus Invictus thing.
- 1:54:20There's no older generation to teach us how to handle this, and
- 1:54:23that's why a lot of these parents.
- 1:54:25Don't they UND a found out that it's basically a cheat code to
- 1:54:30stick a tablet in your kid's hand and they'll sit down and
- 1:54:33shut up and be good. And they don't think about the
- 1:54:36long-term ramifications of this. Yeah.
- 1:54:40Well like there's a reason that screen time is constantly talked
- 1:54:45about word is because they've done studies on this and too
- 1:54:47much screen time. Is bad for children.
- 1:54:50P, Period. Yeah, well I like the fact
- 1:54:53they're doing studies on like Tick-Tock specifically like in
- 1:54:57general is amazing to me because like Tick-Tock is like new like
- 1:55:03but Randy was right. But this it's Unique in that
- 1:55:07it's the short form video content and you can just flick
- 1:55:10it up. Flick it up, flick it like
- 1:55:11Twitter. But instead of words it's just
- 1:55:14video and that's does if it doesn't grab my attention in
- 1:55:18three seconds, I'm skipping it that act over time.
- 1:55:22Reduces their fucking attention span.
- 1:55:24It's literally causing add That's what it is.
- 1:55:30It's causing add and children that don't otherwise have it.
- 1:55:33Now, you could argue that maybe some of the fucking television
- 1:55:36programming and video games in our upbringing had the same
- 1:55:39effect but much less pronounced than this and that would vote
- 1:55:44for an uptick in a TD cases in the 90s and 2000's.
- 1:55:47Sure. But this is like the the graph
- 1:55:51goes like this up up up. Through the roof.
- 1:55:56Yeah, well, I mean, so it's funny that you mention that with
- 1:56:00TV and whatnot because like, I have two younger siblings who
- 1:56:06are way younger than that. I am.
- 1:56:10And I would, I remember a few years ago when I went back to
- 1:56:13card I was watching like I was watching you know,
- 1:56:19saturday-morning cartoons with them and I mean I was playing
- 1:56:23with life with my phone mostly but you know I would like I
- 1:56:27could hear what was on the cartoon and a lot and a lot of
- 1:56:32the vegetables or the cartoons didn't even have like a coherent
- 1:56:37plot Point like the cartoons that were on when even I was a
- 1:56:41kid like Bad plot that you like at least like had to kind of
- 1:56:47fall in, like, pay attention to but like now, cartoons just
- 1:56:54don't even do that. It's just well, we found a, they
- 1:56:59found a link with the the attention span in channel.
- 1:57:03Surfing in the 90s, there's a lot of studies about that and
- 1:57:06then think about Tick-Tock is just an accelerated version of
- 1:57:09that. The even if you find the show,
- 1:57:12you're looking for, as you would when you're channel surfing,
- 1:57:15right? You're going to channels are
- 1:57:15channel surfing and you find something.
- 1:57:17You're going to stay there for a while.
- 1:57:20Tick-Tock I think is like 2 minutes maximum.
- 1:57:23So you're going to be back on the channel surf, almost
- 1:57:26immediately there, there's a lot of reasons why Tick Tock is
- 1:57:29worse. But the, the graph goes from
- 1:57:32like a slightly inclined, Flatline to straight up in terms
- 1:57:38of the amount of children with ADHD, add and autistic, Spectrum
- 1:57:43disorders, and they're having a relationship with all of this
- 1:57:47and Technology. And I mean societally, there's a
- 1:57:53lot of suggestions I could make but practically and the only
- 1:57:57real thing, you know, I can say or do is what I do is just be
- 1:58:03really, really involved. That's what you as a parent can
- 1:58:06do but asking for this shit to change, I don't know how you
- 1:58:10can't make people be better parents, you know what I mean?
- 1:58:15I guess education. But like everything about That
- 1:58:19is, is all this like, you know, Health in Corporal education,
- 1:58:23that they do people. It's always like, it's corpo
- 1:58:26right? So you're going to have some
- 1:58:27nurse saying, okay, parents well, no screen time at 9 p.m.
- 1:58:31and be. These people aren't going to
- 1:58:32fucking listen, you know it's like the lady tells lecture and
- 1:58:37you not to smoke when you're in high school, right?
- 1:58:40Like of course yeah. Everything they're saying is
- 1:58:42true. You know what I mean?
- 1:58:45But you're still going to light up afterwards like, well, what
- 1:58:50it's like it seems to be that like a lot of the the, I mean,
- 1:58:57the other thing I can can't stand is Is like, and I'm not
- 1:59:05even a parent, but the one thing that like drives, you crazy is
- 1:59:09like, when I'll be like out in public and I'll see you like a,
- 1:59:13I'll see you like a parent, right?
- 1:59:15But they're trying to be like they're trying to be BFFs with
- 1:59:19their kids. Instead of trying to be like
- 1:59:23parents, Well, I guess to some degree, you know, I'm free.
- 1:59:29I'm friends with my son, but I see what you mean.
- 1:59:32Well, sometimes they give them whatever they want, and yeah,
- 1:59:36you're not talking about that. You're talking about spoiled
- 1:59:38brats, really? Yeah, I'm not.
- 1:59:42I'm a but you're not a parent so you don't want to say it like
- 1:59:45that, but I'll say it for you. You're talking about parents
- 1:59:48that raised their kids to be annoying spoiled brats.
- 1:59:51And when they instead when they're supposed to say, no they
- 1:59:55say, would you please just consider me baby?
- 1:59:59Call me as yes. That is.
- 2:00:01That is exactly. That is exactly what I That is
- 2:00:07that, that is exactly what I mean.
- 2:00:10And like, I'm not old school. We don't believe in hitting our
- 2:00:12kid right from under any scenario.
- 2:00:15However, however, if he hears me, do the dad voice, he cries
- 2:00:19like I hit him but I do the dad voice.
- 2:00:24He knows he's fucked, but you're awesome.
- 2:00:27Not like, you're honest and not going up to your son and saying
- 2:00:32and my God, I can't blame them out.
- 2:00:35I'm about To repeat this. But I overheard a guy say to his
- 2:00:41son, I just want to be your friend, bro.
- 2:00:45And it's like, It's like fuck off with.
- 2:00:49Like I get it, you want to be friendly with your kid but like
- 2:00:52that's not the parenting books, tell you to do dr.
- 2:00:55Spock ruin, parenting for many generations to come.
- 2:01:02No, there's a mentality of like, you should and it's not dr.
- 2:01:07Spock like from Star Trek. It's dr.
- 2:01:09Spock the guy that wrote the parenting guide or Road?
- 2:01:12Oh, I know, I know exactly who you are.
- 2:01:16Yeah. So, he his thing was that you
- 2:01:20should just let your child creatively Express themself in
- 2:01:23whatever manner that they see fit and never ever intervene.
- 2:01:27Yeah, fuck you motherfucker. Fuck you.
- 2:01:30If I if my kid was like, hitting a girl, that ain't creative
- 2:01:33expressing himself, he's about to get himself in some deep
- 2:01:36shit. You know, there are things
- 2:01:39there. There is lat.
- 2:01:40Look. On the other hand, sometimes my
- 2:01:44wife is like, oh my God, stop that.
- 2:01:46And I'm like, nah, let him. You know what actually my wife
- 2:01:51gets pissed at me because a lot of times when we're out with the
- 2:01:54kid. I do like a bit in my bit, is
- 2:01:59the fun police. And so she'll be like, hey,
- 2:02:03stop, and I'll be like, yeah, we got our 182 out here, child
- 2:02:07having fun. Yeah, she gets super mad at me
- 2:02:11about that but I know, I'm not even sure that's a bit.
- 2:02:16I'm not even sure that to bed anymore.
- 2:02:18See, To me, that just seems like your why you should be saying.
- 2:02:24Well, son. Here's what life will be like in
- 2:02:26the future. If you know, if the woke people
- 2:02:32that that dad, you know, is on the internet.
- 2:02:36With this is what I have. Well, yeah, it's just that.
- 2:02:41She's like, he's climbing to thing, right?
- 2:02:45And she's worried, he's gonna fall off and hurt himself and
- 2:02:47I'm like, yeah. Yeah, maybe I don't know.
- 2:02:50It'll probably be fine if he does though.
- 2:02:52He's a kid. He's a little boy.
- 2:02:54You got to let him be a little bit from this fucking legs and
- 2:02:58have some fun. That's also her maternal
- 2:03:02Instinct, I guess. Yes, Mom should be like that.
- 2:03:10she really wanted to say something I think, oh, she's
- 2:03:14just saying that this has been a great episode because we haven't
- 2:03:18really talked about politics very much True.
- 2:03:22Yeah, no. That's that's I mean, so that's
- 2:03:25the other thing is, you know, we'll talk we'll talk politics
- 2:03:31when we need, you know, when there's something relevant.
- 2:03:34But since we're getting it in Mike Pence is gonna announce for
- 2:03:402024 Good luck. Mike, you'll need it.
- 2:03:47None of these people have any sort of like, Charisma or
- 2:03:51political sense. It's actually a astonishing.
- 2:03:53I mean, these people talk like oh we'll get rid of trump and
- 2:03:57then and then and then what, and then, what we're going to run
- 2:04:00another McCain, we're going to run another Mit, Romney kind of
- 2:04:05candidate. I mean, I mean, this, this idea
- 2:04:09that you can moderate on like, I'm sure is my five other
- 2:04:15bushes. We could have run.
- 2:04:17Yeah. Like this idea that you can
- 2:04:18moderate on Charisma and policy and everything you fucking
- 2:04:24believe in other than, like war and this is somehow a cohesive
- 2:04:29winning strategy, seems absurd, and it's, and it's outer party,
- 2:04:35loser nonsense. And that's, that's really what
- 2:04:38we're up against in the GOP, is a bunch of people who are
- 2:04:42literally come trouble with being a member of the outer
- 2:04:45party. If they had any political
- 2:04:47Instinct, if they had any Charisma, they'd be a Democrat.
- 2:04:52True. White like why would you be a
- 2:04:56Liz Cheney? Why would you be a Mitt Romney
- 2:04:59was like at that point YB YB a fucking libel if you had
- 2:05:04conservative, if you had Charisma and sense right now and
- 2:05:08and didn't care about the politics at all which a lot of
- 2:05:11them seem that's what you're describing right?
- 2:05:13You would be the outsider Dem. Yes you would be what's-her-face
- 2:05:18in Arizona there that they also gabbard the Tulsi.
- 2:05:22Yeah, yeah, exactly. Or you could Carrie likes, not
- 2:05:29Democrat. Oh no, I meant Cinema kyrsten
- 2:05:34Sinema, right? Kristen, so yeah, she portrays
- 2:05:37herself as The Outsider, damn, now nobody believes that, but
- 2:05:40like, the point being is she got it.
- 2:05:44She's got political Savvy, she's got some Charisma, and she's an
- 2:05:48outsider candidate at RFK Juniors.
- 2:05:51Another good example, Outsider candidate.
- 2:05:53Yeah, if you If you wear that, that that's the spot to be where
- 2:05:57you're going to get the most like clout I guess.
- 2:06:02Why would you want to be a member of the outer party?
- 2:06:04Like a why, why would you want to do that?
- 2:06:07Why would you want to be the absolute has the Libertarians.
- 2:06:12I mean the Libertarians at least like egg least, they can like
- 2:06:17put on a leather jacket and pretend to be like the, the
- 2:06:21noble losers, right? Yeah.
- 2:06:24Like at least they can. Well, can you make virtue
- 2:06:27signal? They want to be big fish in the
- 2:06:29small pond. You, you're talking about people
- 2:06:32that want to be big fishes in a big pond.
- 2:06:34But it's, yeah, it's it's the polluted one.
- 2:06:38Yeah. Why?
- 2:06:40Why be the Republican that like goes to the BLM rally and loses
- 2:06:46the to Obama? And does the things like, why be
- 2:06:49part of the establishment and not be really part of the
- 2:06:53Element to its full extent. It just it's cringe, it's lame.
- 2:06:57It doesn't make any sense and I fear people trying to bring us
- 2:07:03back to that and I'm just holy uninterested in it.
- 2:07:07I mean no I just created an ad for Mike Pence and it's just
- 2:07:13going to quote shmuly and it's going to be like it's cringe and
- 2:07:16it's lame. 20:24 it's cringing, it's lame.
- 2:07:23And and so slowly to your point earlier, like about, we didn't
- 2:07:27bring it politics. Like so here's the thing with
- 2:07:31what that right is like, I've done the type of show before
- 2:07:37where I cover every my new thing in politics like that.
- 2:07:42No one cares about, like, I've done that before.
- 2:07:45But like, my whole thing is, like, the day-to-day, like,
- 2:07:51political nerd stuff like, yeah, it's entertaining for us to talk
- 2:07:55about, like, in the line or no one cares that like obviously,
- 2:07:59like, there were things like, you know, like Rhino rod. or can
- 2:08:05connection issues Ron like getting up like that was a relic
- 2:08:10that was a real I guess what I'm saying is like Politics, like, I
- 2:08:16guess I if I'm not interested in it, if it's not relevant to me,
- 2:08:20then why would it be wrong relevant to those to the
- 2:08:24audience? Whereas, like a, I like, is so
- 2:08:28groundbreaking right now. No, I agree with the the course
- 2:08:33of the show. I, I guess my point was
- 2:08:36basically a deposit that question, why?
- 2:08:39If you're a Machiavelli and grifter, you want to be part of
- 2:08:43the establishment, all obvious. That's why you oppose the Trump
- 2:08:46people, right? Like these people.
- 2:08:48Why do they exist? What's in it for them?
- 2:08:52Why, why are they so pathetic and lame and stupid?
- 2:08:57I can, I can tell I can here's my theory.
- 2:09:01At least my theory is, is that they is that they weren't power
- 2:09:06for so long. And when Trump got into office,
- 2:09:12they got kicked out of, you know, the party change.
- 2:09:17But now they were, but they were the loser party then to.
- 2:09:20Yeah, that's my point. We sense Bush, right?
- 2:09:25They were they were, but they were, you're not wrong and
- 2:09:30either you are wrong. But from my perspective, they
- 2:09:34didn't care because they were in charge of the party and they
- 2:09:36could do, they could do it. Ever the fuck they wanted and
- 2:09:40they were Matt, they were mad when trumped on top is because
- 2:09:44it was no longer there party. It was our, I guess that sort of
- 2:09:51answers it. I mean, a lot of these people
- 2:09:52probably got in there when there was more of a like, it wasn't.
- 2:10:01So we weren't basically like a one-party state, right?
- 2:10:04And. And now, the way I have an
- 2:10:06analogy as to why the Why would you want to be the Perpetual
- 2:10:11loser right? The same reason that there's
- 2:10:13guys that made me not so much now but Sam will get this
- 2:10:17because it's because wrestling right there are guys that their
- 2:10:20whole career was built upon being a jobber and losing two
- 2:10:25other guys, right? And it's because it's consistent
- 2:10:29work, it's mostly safe. You got your Niche, you're here,
- 2:10:33you can come out and even those guys would have gimmicks, right?
- 2:10:37Like the Brooklyn Brawler. Laura and Barry Horowitz to Pat
- 2:10:40himself on the back and shit like that gilberg, if everybody
- 2:10:44remembers that one like the these guys existed to put the
- 2:10:48other guys over, that's what Republican establishment was
- 2:10:51doing. They exist yet fucking Democrats
- 2:10:54over. Yeah, they're well they're
- 2:10:56they're just so used to losing like that's what they're most
- 2:10:59comfortable with I guess. Well, and it pays well, like
- 2:11:03those jobbers could pay their health insurance, they put food
- 2:11:06on the table for the kids. They weren't making Hulk.
- 2:11:08And money, right? But they were fucking providing
- 2:11:11for their family. That's why they're going to stay
- 2:11:13there. And in this case, it's more than
- 2:11:15that because they're getting like stock options and free
- 2:11:18fucking trips to Aruba and all this other fucking shit it
- 2:11:22there. There's fringe benefits to being
- 2:11:24a jobber and let's just face it. Like the neocon establishment
- 2:11:28had become jobbers and their job Erza.
- 2:11:30And DeSantis wants to be the head job or he wants to be the
- 2:11:33head of the Jo B Squad and go over there and take the L for
- 2:11:37Trump. Actually what I think he's
- 2:11:39doing, I think he's banking on the doj taking Trump out which I
- 2:11:45wouldn't look if there's one guy not to bet against it's the guy
- 2:11:51that wrote The Art of the comeback.
- 2:11:54Just saying well, well, holy uninterested in having some cope
- 2:12:01politics where I like I try to justify how like well Jeb Bush
- 2:12:06would be much better than Joe Biden because you know, Jeb will
- 2:12:11reduce taxes by 1% and Joe wants to increase the IRS funding by
- 2:12:1980 billion dollars but Jeb, you know, he's so easy.
- 2:12:23Sensible 72 bits. Well boys well done you know
- 2:12:30Obama wants all the kids sorry. Biden wants all the kids to be
- 2:12:35trans and Jeb would put a cap on that, you know.
- 2:12:39Yeah, only 40% sensible cab, you know, it's just holy
- 2:12:46uninterested and interesting and it makes me consider that when
- 2:12:51you're in that position, Why, why even bother?
- 2:12:57And that's, I guess that's a concept that I think a lot in
- 2:13:02politics. There's certain situations,
- 2:13:07where in no action is better than action actually.
- 2:13:11Yeah. Yeah, I know I but then again it
- 2:13:16goes what it goes. Like both.
- 2:13:19It does, the wine bottle, the wine bother approach is very
- 2:13:23interesting there, which mode because again like you've got
- 2:13:27you've got the GOP, you know like politicians who are so
- 2:13:30boring and uninteresting that they don't motivate their base
- 2:13:34to do anything. Yeah.
- 2:13:36And the Jo be politicians. Or or the J EB X exclamation
- 2:13:45mark ha ha ha. But there are certain situations
- 2:13:53where in like the position that the left takes only makes sense.
- 2:14:00With a in context of the Republican position and so I
- 2:14:07could foresee their being certain examples.
- 2:14:09Wherein, it's literally just better to not.
- 2:14:15Oh yeah, for sure because they develop I mean, it's funny like
- 2:14:20leftists like to call us reactionaries but like, what
- 2:14:25seems to drive a lot of especially the radical left, is
- 2:14:29this like reaction to not just reality but like the 1950s view
- 2:14:36of society that they've already killed.
- 2:14:41Yeah that yeah they they need you to like come along and
- 2:14:46oppose them in order to like give context to their nonsense.
- 2:14:52Yeah. Well see a lot of that buttons
- 2:14:55is delusion that the 1950s still exists.
- 2:15:01And like I think this is kind of the same thing.
- 2:15:05You're saying, they want you to believe that I can, I think I
- 2:15:09can illustrate it better like the French Revolution is going
- 2:15:13right. When the French Revolution was
- 2:15:15going, they're like well we're going to get rid of the.
- 2:15:17We're going to remake the days of the week.
- 2:15:20It's now going to be an even amount of days of the week.
- 2:15:24And we're going to get rid of all these old men eventually it
- 2:15:27just the stuff makes no sense and it just fails and then
- 2:15:33eventually they sort of move on. I think you've seen this in
- 2:15:37Communist States right there. Certain things like oh yeah,
- 2:15:40definitely. Like we're gonna get rid of the
- 2:15:42distinction between men and women or whatever.
- 2:15:45But like once the totalizing regime comes they're just like
- 2:15:49oh well that doesn't work and then you get some level of like
- 2:15:52reform Well and and in fact that push back can I can I can I read
- 2:15:59you a little bit of the pushback if you guys like this target has
- 2:16:03lost 12 billion dollars in the last week Bud.
- 2:16:06Light has lost twenty six billion dollars in the past two
- 2:16:10months and coal stock. Dropped six point five percent,
- 2:16:14in two days, this is what winning looks like.
- 2:16:19I've always said you got to speak with your wallet to these
- 2:16:22people and but Problem is is you can't say okay guys let's we're
- 2:16:27gonna is the boycott because that doesn't work but what does
- 2:16:32work well? People get fed the fuck up.
- 2:16:34Yeah. And they do it on their own and
- 2:16:37but there and we can't even talk them out of it.
- 2:16:39Now, you can't talk the normies into going out and buying Bud
- 2:16:42Light. Now, that's not going to happen.
- 2:16:44Will you when you combat them? Remember that they're rebelling
- 2:16:48against reality, they're rebelling against you, they're
- 2:16:53hateful. It's like they're rebelling
- 2:16:54against God in many ways. Yeah.
- 2:16:57Yeah. And so like their shit's going
- 2:16:59to fail and it just brings up an interesting question.
- 2:17:03It's like, well, you know what to what role did conservatism
- 2:17:09really play in people being fed up with these, like woke
- 2:17:13companies, shoving it down, everybody's throat, not not
- 2:17:18inaudible, not a whole lot, but the only the only thing I will
- 2:17:24say, is that, in CERN kit, is that in some cases?
- 2:17:31I've had people go. I've had people say to me.
- 2:17:34Oh, wow. This is what Rush Limbaugh was
- 2:17:37talking about. All, you know, all all those
- 2:17:41years ago, but it's like, but it's like, that's not really a
- 2:17:45that's not like a change, right? As much as it is, admitting that
- 2:17:50we were right, all along and I'm not and I'm not one of those
- 2:17:53types. Of people that has to glow and
- 2:17:55so, yeah, I was right. I don't think this is some great
- 2:17:59victory of the attentional. Like, Auntie woke media people
- 2:18:05which are which I guess I'm one of them if we did play a role in
- 2:18:09it it was simply that we basically baited them into
- 2:18:12Hazzard. But yeah, two things baited them
- 2:18:16into Hazzard. Correct?
- 2:18:17But the second one is is our ability to share it.
- 2:18:22Finally reached Normie. Wise.
- 2:18:24They they saw it but the thing is when you're sharing this
- 2:18:28stuff to normies you have to strip up the political fucking
- 2:18:32bias on your end or they're not going to watch it in the bud,
- 2:18:35light thing. It kind of was that because all
- 2:18:37they had to do was watch Dylan. Yet leftist craziness in front
- 2:18:48of them. Yeah.
- 2:18:50Yeah. And and this, this is, you know,
- 2:18:54this is like I'm saying, you know what?
- 2:18:55Dow shank down shaping, you know, the guy who came in after
- 2:19:00Mao. Yeah, right and he's like hey
- 2:19:05actually a lot of that crazy shit.
- 2:19:08We're not going to do it anymore, you know?
- 2:19:10I mean I'm not going to execute the farmers for Producing excess
- 2:19:15to sell down at the river, you know, me like that.
- 2:19:19Which is why you get the modern Chinese like capitalist,
- 2:19:22communist hybrid state that they've created with the full
- 2:19:25authoritarianism. Yeah.
- 2:19:27Like at a at a certain point with these kind of things you
- 2:19:31end up with a situation like that, right?
- 2:19:34You end up with a situation where like the totalizing
- 2:19:37ideology Fucking fails. I mean solid with Khrushchev in
- 2:19:43the Soviet Union right there? Like hey Stalin went a little
- 2:19:48far. We can be cynical because the
- 2:19:54reason why Stalin went too far as because he was chopping off
- 2:19:58their heads, right? You know what I mean?
- 2:20:02But but there's the outcomes. The same.
- 2:20:04Yeah. Eventually this stuff just
- 2:20:07fucking fails. Well, and the thing is they're
- 2:20:09trying to chop off your kids penises, right?
- 2:20:12And that's very similar. Like this is why I'll tell you
- 2:20:15Norm he's waking up. It's for me it's actually the
- 2:20:20first just like big Normie Awakening thing.
- 2:20:22I saw among like, parents, the actually talking about having
- 2:20:26these conversations, non-politically was the wet ass
- 2:20:31pussy song. Yeah, it because because they
- 2:20:37were, like, when we were growing up, because most of them are
- 2:20:39millennials, right? Well, any oils are like the main
- 2:20:41group with children under 10 years old now.
- 2:20:44And when we grew up, yeah, there was Dirty music, but they didn't
- 2:20:47play it on the radio all the time.
- 2:20:50Yeah. Right.
- 2:20:51And that to them is like way over the line and made them very
- 2:20:54uncomfortable when they had their like three, four, five
- 2:20:57year old child twerking to fucking wet ass pussy.
- 2:21:02That's so It's true though. It's that was the thing that was
- 2:21:07going on. And you know, I talked to quite
- 2:21:09a few parents. And the thing is I don't bring
- 2:21:12up like all these times I'm saying I talk to normal people
- 2:21:15and parents. I don't bring up any of this
- 2:21:17shit. Yeah, I'm very quiet actually.
- 2:21:23Mia it's it's weird because like when I was when I was younger.
- 2:21:32Like, you know 18 to 20, right 1821.
- 2:21:37Let's say II was I was the I will admit I was the annoying
- 2:21:42political like nerd guy would bring it up in every
- 2:21:45conversation. But after 2016, I became more
- 2:21:51like you Max. I just kind of became the quiet
- 2:21:53guy who didn't really, you know, bring it up and then some wood
- 2:22:00wood. I'd say you know it got to the
- 2:22:04point where people I would say like well, I'm a liberal but
- 2:22:08this this trance thing is a bit much don't you think I would go
- 2:22:12like yeah, you know, it is a bit much all I warm it.
- 2:22:19So, you know some or something like that, right?
- 2:22:24Yeah. Yeah.
- 2:22:24It's like oh, yeah. It didn't used to be that crazy,
- 2:22:27huh, you know and again a lot of these Normie.
- 2:22:31Is will say, like they don't have a problem with trans people
- 2:22:34existing what they have, a problem with is what the trans
- 2:22:38people call validation and they're like no I don't have to
- 2:22:42like you can pretend you're a dinosaur I'm not going to lie
- 2:22:48because it's not true. Some of them will they will
- 2:22:50humor you if you're polite and they'll call you miss or
- 2:22:54whatever. But they don't mean it.
- 2:22:57Well will he marry? I think I think people here
- 2:23:00Where each other to a serving step.
- 2:23:03Yeah. Why, you know, if you're if
- 2:23:06you're being nice about it, but if you're being belligerent
- 2:23:08about it, that's when people get really upset.
- 2:23:11That's when people get belligerent back, you know, you
- 2:23:15know, it's ma'am, right? And everybody normies, even
- 2:23:18people on the left knew that, that was stupid.
- 2:23:22Like you getting that mad. You look like a dude, right?
- 2:23:28And you're walking in a GameStop or whatever.
- 2:23:30Starting to Fuck. I think it was GameStop starting
- 2:23:33to fucking big problem over it because they said sir.
- 2:23:37Well, they teach you that in the service industry and at a
- 2:23:40glance, you're a sir. Sorry, not sorry.
- 2:23:42Like and and I understand you want validation, you want to
- 2:23:46here's the thing. Most normies, believe it like
- 2:23:48this. You can live your life and
- 2:23:51believe you are and dress. However the fuck you want, I
- 2:23:55don't have to do it back. You're trying to get you can
- 2:23:59control your life, you can't control mine.
- 2:24:04But the thing is why is it language that they use?
- 2:24:07Because language you thinking language, controlling,
- 2:24:11controlling your language is a backdoor way to controlling your
- 2:24:15thoughts. My favorite, one of my favorite
- 2:24:20characters that I found was the oil change guy, who's this?
- 2:24:24Like, you know, overweight overalls, you know, greased up
- 2:24:30big beard looking redneck. and I said sir to him, he's like he's
- 2:24:38like, you know, My name is Jeff and you know you want to be
- 2:24:44careful doing that because you don't want to miss gender
- 2:24:48faithful by accident, right? Like a tad of like it's just
- 2:24:53it's like, I understand I'm Southern to but you know, just
- 2:24:58you want to, we want to be inclusive type deal.
- 2:25:02It was just funny to find like the woke Millennial, you know,
- 2:25:06fucking oil change guy. Yeah, yeah, and that's what I
- 2:25:11mean by. Like, they get, they get you
- 2:25:13with the language in thinking language.
- 2:25:16And so, if they can control the words that you use, they can
- 2:25:20control what you think the nature of your thoughts?
- 2:25:24Yeah, I mean this this makes sense that this is how I control
- 2:25:27Sam, right? Wait, what?
- 2:25:33Don't worry about it, i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i, I knew
- 2:25:39I was feeling MKUltra. Oh yeah.
- 2:25:44So one final thing because I am fucking dead-ass tired.
- 2:25:48But this needs to, this is something we should talk about.
- 2:25:50Just because if you hear my voice, if you hear this part of
- 2:25:54the show, please go look at the CIA official website where they
- 2:26:00have Leaked the entire contents of the MKUltra to program, so
- 2:26:06not the one, everybody's familiar with but the second
- 2:26:09version of it, it's not MKUltra. That's not the code name for it
- 2:26:12but it's essentially the same thing from the 80s and it's all
- 2:26:17Declassified and if you read all 29 pages of it, you might be
- 2:26:21horrified. So go check that out because you
- 2:26:26should probably know what your government was doing.
- 2:26:28Trying to control your mind. Yeah.
- 2:26:32Friendly advice from the advice though, folks considering it's
- 2:26:35like 12:30 East Eastern here where you might want to do that
- 2:26:39in the morning because this doesn't seem like it would be a
- 2:26:43good bedtime rating to know. It's the best because I want you
- 2:26:47to have nightmares about it. So you get the reality of how
- 2:26:51horrific what our government did in the 80s.
- 2:26:53TS to its own citizens was behind closed.
- 2:26:57Doors, did it happened? They have released it publicly
- 2:27:01and then let it slide under the radar and nobody's talking about
- 2:27:05it. And I just want to bring
- 2:27:06attention to this because it's so fucking critic.
- 2:27:09If you read this shit, An official government document on
- 2:27:14an official government website. You're going to be like what the
- 2:27:16actual fuck, the X-Files is real wasn't.
- 2:27:21Was that the was that the one that had the CRT mood
- 2:27:26manipulation? No.
- 2:27:28Okay. Nothing related to see Artie but
- 2:27:32it had critical. Not critical race Theory like
- 2:27:34literal cathode ray tube in light of.
- 2:27:39I don't remember everything that was, there's some fucking Wild.
- 2:27:42Shit. And they they they literally
- 2:27:44drilled holes in people's brains and put fucking read it.
- 2:27:49Just read it. Oh God, that is telling you that
- 2:27:53it was drilling holes in people's brains and nobody seems
- 2:27:56to care. Well honestly at this point, Max
- 2:28:01nothing would surprise me anymore.
- 2:28:05Like, you know me, I'm not a conspiracy guy.
- 2:28:08No, but this isn't a conspiracy. This is what the CIA published
- 2:28:12on the CIA website, parts of it are even redacted.
- 2:28:16I'm no eyes. Some parts aren't redacted
- 2:28:19because of the acts actually horrific nature of what is being
- 2:28:23discussed Max? You know me.
- 2:28:25I'm not I'm not a conspiracy theorist either, but I will tell
- 2:28:28you You, I'm not sure if you were listening to the show yet
- 2:28:32when I had this conversation with Apex, but, you know, in
- 2:28:38short, like I'm not a conspiracy theorist.
- 2:28:41However, covid did change things for me in the sense, like, I
- 2:28:47never would have thought that the government would have
- 2:28:50actually done like a cobra. Do I like a walk down like they
- 2:28:54did with covid? I was like, I was a well that's
- 2:28:57some real Alex Jones shit and then when they when they did
- 2:29:02that I was like well fuck. If they can do this then what
- 2:29:07else Can they do? It was all like it's it wasn't
- 2:29:12like a and I'm not looking at it from a Doomer perspective.
- 2:29:16I'm looking at it from a I'm just not surprised if they
- 2:29:19actually had like, aliens area for 21 and MKUltra and shit like
- 2:29:26that. Oh, I know, I don't know if any
- 2:29:28of that like Area, 51, whatever. I do know that.
- 2:29:32If the government says, there's nothing to see, there's
- 2:29:35something to see. For sure but I just figured I
- 2:29:41had to get that one out. Go go check out these recently
- 2:29:45released CIA documents. They will blow your mind.
- 2:29:48They certainly blew some people's minds back then too.
- 2:29:52Yeah. Just you know before whatever.
- 2:29:55Wrap it up. Thank you for being on here Sam.
- 2:29:59Thank you for joining us Max. Well I mean considering I'm the
- 2:30:04one who owes the show. Thank you for being a lot on
- 2:30:07here too and it's good having you here.

- 2:30:39out, deceptive DeSantis repugnant Ron Ron decent Soros
- 2:30:46rondi, shyster rondi, Saboteur remote connection problem, Ron,
- 2:30:52Ron D controlled opposition, Ron the failed Deceiver.
- 2:31:01Bravo bravo bravo my final thoughts are.
- 2:31:11Are the fine AI is tool. It's not good or bad.
- 2:31:17It's see like I guess the best way to explain this to you know
- 2:31:23continue to concern us who are afraid of a.
- 2:31:26I think about think IAI the same way you guys think about guns,
- 2:31:31right? Guns aren't good.
- 2:31:34Nor are they bad their tools? They can be used for good or for
- 2:31:40bad. It's just how you use them.
- 2:31:43And AI is basically the same thing at this point in essence.
- 2:31:49And that's that also David Sachs, please come on the
- 2:31:57clothes. Well, I know you're a supporter
- 2:31:59of rhino, Ron, but we would still love to have you.
- 2:32:03And if you could make the case more, why Rhino Ron is not Not
- 2:32:11right or wrong then. We will not have you for sure.
- 2:32:21But also Elon Musk, come on the way Field Report, please.
- 2:32:26Yes. Might as well shoot for the
