- 0:27Speaker 3: news media and we hope to see you at Breakingpoints
- 0:29Speaker 3: dot com. Good morning, everybody, Happy Thursday. We have an
- 0:36Speaker 3: amazing show everybody today. What'll we be in Crystal Dee.
- 0:38Speaker 4: We do a lot of updates for you.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Have a lot of comments from Trump and Hegseth and
- 0:41Speaker 2: others with regard to the war, raising war questions and
- 0:43Speaker 2: they're answering.
- 0:44Speaker 4: Continuing in that direction.
- 0:45Speaker 2: We've got lots of updates with regard to the kinetic
- 0:48Speaker 2: action the war, specifically including what appears to have been
- 0:51Speaker 2: a siop from our government and the Israelis about a
- 0:55Speaker 2: Kurdish invasion of Iran's will break down for you what
- 0:59Speaker 2: we know there. We also had the War Powers resolution
- 1:02Speaker 2: vote in the Senate yesterday. It went down effectively along
- 1:05Speaker 2: party lines. We're also looking at a potentially fifty billion
- 1:09Speaker 2: dollar supplemental funding requests from the White House for more
- 1:12Speaker 2: arms to fund this war effort, and Democrats, number of
- 1:16Speaker 2: them apparently going along with this or open to going
- 1:19Speaker 2: along with this. In any case, We're going to take
- 1:21Speaker 2: a little trip down memory lane look back at some
- 1:23Speaker 2: of the very clearcut comments that were made by Oh,
- 1:26Speaker 2: I don't know Trump, jd Vance, Steven Miller, RFK Junior,
- 1:29Speaker 2: Tulci Gabbard and others saying we will not go to
- 1:32Speaker 2: war with Iran. Pretty funny that that's what their line
- 1:35Speaker 2: was then. And obviously we are where we are now.
- 1:38Speaker 2: And also more and more American politicians are framing this
- 1:41Speaker 2: as a religious war. So Emily is going to join
- 1:44Speaker 2: us to tell us what the hell is going on
- 1:46Speaker 2: with that. Because this is not our area of expertise,
- 1:49Speaker 2: She's going to break it down.
- 1:50Speaker 1: She is our religion correspondest.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Speaking of that, Thank you to everybody who has been
- 1:53Speaker 3: supporting our show Breakingpoints dot com. We do have our
- 1:56Speaker 3: free trial going on right now. Let's put it up
- 1:58Speaker 3: there on the screen. You can sign up right now
- 2:00Speaker 3: with the code BP free twenty six at breakingpoints dot
- 2:06Speaker 3: com for a free month trial. We really appreciate all
- 2:08Speaker 3: of the support for our show, the ability to have
- 2:10Speaker 3: our ensemble cast with Ryan and Emily who are integral
- 2:13Speaker 3: parts of our team, in addition to all of the
- 2:15Speaker 3: incredible guests that we've been able to field, all because
- 2:18Speaker 3: of your support. Sincerely, thank you. But more importantly, I
- 2:21Speaker 3: think Crystal now is a time more than ever with
- 2:24Speaker 3: the mainstream media.
- 2:25Speaker 1: We're going to play a clip later.
- 2:26Speaker 3: On in our show where they're like, oh, we can't
- 2:28Speaker 3: show you that because Israel doesn't want us to where
- 2:30Speaker 3: we're trying our best, I know that there's so many
- 2:33Speaker 3: people here and around the world doing their best to
- 2:36Speaker 3: digest what's going on. We take this responsibility really, really seriously,
- 2:39Speaker 3: and at a time like this, I feel like this
- 2:41Speaker 3: show has never been more.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Important than ever.
- 2:43Speaker 2: I mean I feel that wait for sure, and feel
- 2:46Speaker 2: really fortunate to have the partnership with drop site as
- 2:48Speaker 2: well gives us access to exclusive news from around the world,
- 2:51Speaker 2: and yeah, if you're watching cable news, I think we
- 2:53Speaker 2: don't really need to make the case for why it's
- 2:55Speaker 2: important what we're doing here. We've had a huge surge
- 2:58Speaker 2: of both people tune in into the show and also
- 3:01Speaker 2: premium subscribers, So thank you and welcome to those of
- 3:03Speaker 2: you who are newly in.
- 3:05Speaker 4: Let's get to the latest.
- 3:06Speaker 3: That's right, Let's go ahead and start here with some
- 3:09Speaker 3: latest comments from the Secretary heg Seth about the timeline
- 3:12Speaker 3: of this war. It was supposed to be a couple days,
- 3:13Speaker 3: then it was supposed to be a couple weeks, and
- 3:15Speaker 3: now it might be eight weeks, might be eight months,
- 3:17Speaker 3: who knows. Here's the Secretary at a press conference yesterday
- 3:20Speaker 3: at the Pentagon.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Let's take a listen.
- 3:22Speaker 5: In a few days, in under a week, the two
- 3:26Speaker 5: most powerful air forces in the world will have complete
- 3:29Speaker 5: control of Iranian skies, uncontested airspace. I hope all the
- 3:35Speaker 5: folks watching understand what uncontested airspace and complete control means.
- 3:41Speaker 5: It means we will fly all day, all night, day
- 3:45Speaker 5: and night, finding, fixing and finishing the missiles and defense
- 3:49Speaker 5: industrial base of the Iranian military, finding and fixing their
- 3:54Speaker 5: leaders and their military leaders, Flying over Tehran, flying over Iran,
- 4:00Speaker 5: flying over their capital, flying over the RGC Iranian leaders
- 4:06Speaker 5: looking up and seeing only US and Israeli air power
- 4:13Speaker 5: every minute of every day until we decide it's over
- 4:18Speaker 5: and Iran we'll be able to do nothing about it.
- 4:23Speaker 1: B two's, B fifty twos.
- 4:24Speaker 5: B ones, predator drones, fighters controlling the skies, picking targets,
- 4:30Speaker 5: death and destruction from the sky all day long.
- 4:35Speaker 3: So the direct quote, you can say, four weeks, could
- 4:37Speaker 3: be six, It could be eight, it could be three.
- 4:39Speaker 3: Let me read you a quote from February seventh, two
- 4:42Speaker 3: thousand and three, Donald Rumsfeld. It could be last you know,
- 4:45Speaker 3: six days, six weeks, I doubt six months.
- 4:48Speaker 1: There you go.
- 4:49Speaker 3: So, if you all want to know exactly the situation
- 4:52Speaker 3: that we're in right now, already boots on the ground
- 4:55Speaker 3: remain on the table. Here is the Press Secretary of
- 4:58Speaker 3: Caroline Levitt refuse to rule that out at the White
- 5:01Speaker 3: House podium.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Let's take a listen.
- 5:02Speaker 4: Could you tell us about the president's current thinking about ground.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Troops and whether they could be used if they were
- 5:08Speaker 1: to be sent into Iran, what would they be used for?
- 5:11Speaker 6: What's the situation?
- 5:12Speaker 7: Well, they're not part of the plan for this operation
- 5:14Speaker 7: at this time, but I certainly will never take away
- 5:17Speaker 7: at military options on behalf of the President of the
- 5:19Speaker 7: United States or the commander in chief, and he wisely
- 5:22Speaker 7: does not do the same for himself. I know there's
- 5:25Speaker 7: many leaders in the past who like to take options
- 5:27Speaker 7: off of the table without having a full understanding of
- 5:29Speaker 7: how things could develop. So again, it's not part of
- 5:32Speaker 7: the current plan, but I'm not going to remove an
- 5:33Speaker 7: option for the president that is on the table. The
- 5:37Speaker 7: President had a feeling again based on fact that Iran
- 5:40Speaker 7: was going to strike the United States, was going to
- 5:42Speaker 7: strike our assets in the region.
- 5:43Speaker 1: What was that last part? What does she say?
- 5:45Speaker 3: The President had a feeling again based on fact that
- 5:49Speaker 3: Iran was going to strike the US because by his
- 5:52Speaker 3: own admission, Israel was going to strike them, quote unquote,
- 5:56Speaker 3: no matter what we were going to do. I mean,
- 5:57Speaker 3: this is a full fledged, open ended conflict. We're going
- 6:01Speaker 3: to spend a lot of time, I think in the
- 6:02Speaker 3: removing of the show, just to show everybody how the
- 6:04Speaker 3: war continues to widen. The oil markets are already roiling.
- 6:08Speaker 3: There is a matter of days, only days while oil
- 6:11Speaker 3: storage in many of the Gulf countries will run out,
- 6:13Speaker 3: which will significantly hinder the production facilities. Katar LNG already
- 6:18Speaker 3: bringing down production and downstream production. Iraqis have been closing
- 6:22Speaker 3: their oil fields. They only have six days before their
- 6:24Speaker 3: entire storage is taken up. The Saudis have two months.
- 6:27Speaker 3: Interceptors are all running low. Boots on the ground are
- 6:30Speaker 3: one of the flast things that might be able to
- 6:32Speaker 3: change the tactical picture as it is. Secretary Hegseth. We
- 6:36Speaker 3: didn't play this clip. It's important for him to say that.
- 6:38Speaker 3: He noted that we'll be shifting in munitions to the
- 6:41Speaker 3: type that we will be using, which will require US
- 6:44Speaker 3: aircraft to spend much more time deeper inside of Iran
- 6:47Speaker 3: and also within theoretical range of Iranian air defense systems.
- 6:51Speaker 3: So previously you know there's B twos and others are
- 6:53Speaker 3: fine from very very high up. Now they're going to
- 6:54Speaker 3: be moving to different This highlights the munition's problem, which
- 6:57Speaker 3: we've been beating the drum here on the show every
- 7:00Speaker 3: single day. There is not a single off ramp quote unquote.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Both sides are leaking. The Iranians say they've rejected three
- 7:06Speaker 3: different overtures from the president. The President and his team
- 7:09Speaker 3: have been leaking that they've rejected multiple calls from the Iranians,
- 7:12Speaker 3: who knows what is true. I also think we should
- 7:14Speaker 3: really caution everyone the censorship in the Gulf and Israel
- 7:17Speaker 3: is out of control right now. The number of videos
- 7:19Speaker 3: we're able to get open source are dramatically lower.
- 7:22Speaker 1: That's being taken as evidence that the war is going better.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Not true.
- 7:25Speaker 3: It's that censorship is a ramping up in all of
- 7:28Speaker 3: these countries to make sure that we have no idea
- 7:30Speaker 3: what's going on. Pay attention to these statements. The fact
- 7:33Speaker 3: that they're having to shift munitions means that they're running
- 7:36Speaker 3: out in some cases. If you're looking, look at the
- 7:38Speaker 3: prices of oil, look at the statements specifically about production.
- 7:42Speaker 3: And then later on the show, we're going to show
- 7:43Speaker 3: everybody some satellite imagery which uncontested, to show some of
- 7:46Speaker 3: the damage the Iranians have already been able to make
- 7:48Speaker 3: on our own basis.
- 7:49Speaker 4: Yeah, that's right.
- 7:50Speaker 2: And you know there are indications that they were able
- 7:53Speaker 2: to strike inside of Israel yesterday. You know, there's been
- 7:55Speaker 2: this whole like, oh, the pace of their of their
- 7:58Speaker 2: missile launches has slowed down, but it looks like they
- 8:01Speaker 2: had consolidated a larger launch yesterday. But again it's very
- 8:04Speaker 2: hard to confirm any of this is very hard to
- 8:06Speaker 2: confirm exactly what the damage was within Israel. There are
- 8:10Speaker 2: also not fully confirmed reports, but a little more solid
- 8:13Speaker 2: Drop site is reporting this that there was a US
- 8:16Speaker 2: flagged oil tanker that was struck and oil is leaking now.
- 8:19Speaker 2: So again with regard to the wider economic fallout, that
- 8:22Speaker 2: is significant. And there was also a report that in
- 8:25Speaker 2: terms of boots on the ground, which you'll recall, there
- 8:28Speaker 2: are a bunch of senators Democrats included, who went into
- 8:32Speaker 2: a briefing and came out of it indicating were really
- 8:35Speaker 2: even more frightened and concerned about where this is going,
- 8:38Speaker 2: seemingly indicating that the possibility of boots on the ground
- 8:42Speaker 2: was floated there. So there is a report that there's
- 8:44Speaker 2: a dispute between Mark or Rubio and Pete Hegseth heg
- 8:48Speaker 2: Seth who was a total psycho pushing for a ground
- 8:52Speaker 2: invasion and Rubio more concerned about getting dragged in to
- 8:57Speaker 2: yet another forever war. Is that report accurate? I don't know.
- 9:00Speaker 1: I mean this.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Supposedly they're at each other's storets et cetera, et cetera.
- 9:03Speaker 2: This is the palace intrigue. But that is what is
- 9:05Speaker 2: being reported. And you know, at this point, given the
- 9:08Speaker 2: number of officials who will not take it off the table,
- 9:12Speaker 2: and these you know, indications coming from the briefings that
- 9:15Speaker 2: senators are getting, there is no doubt that this is
- 9:18Speaker 2: a live possibility. I'll put one more thing out there
- 9:20Speaker 2: that I was seeing this morning. You know, we haven't
- 9:22Speaker 2: even gotten to cover all of the what appears to
- 9:24Speaker 2: be more insider trading on polymarket with regard to you know, Oh,
- 9:28Speaker 2: this guy happened to call that Maduro was going to
- 9:30Speaker 2: get kidnaped that day. Oh, we happen to also call
- 9:33Speaker 2: the date that Iran would be attacked. Well, now he's
- 9:36Speaker 2: placed a bet on US ground troops invasion. So read
- 9:40Speaker 2: into that what you will.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Well, and I can look.
- 9:42Speaker 3: We'll get to that in a little bit in our
- 9:44Speaker 3: update on the Kurdish surge. But we do want to
- 9:46Speaker 3: make unambiguously clear what the President and his administration have
- 9:50Speaker 3: now said is that this war is a result either
- 9:53Speaker 3: of failure, inability or support for an Israeli preemptive strike
- 9:59Speaker 3: on ira The President said just yesterday, repeating Israeli propaganda
- 10:06Speaker 3: that Iran was two weeks from a nuclear weapon.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Take a listen.
- 10:11Speaker 8: If we didn't hit within two weeks, they would have
- 10:13Speaker 8: had a nuclear weapon. If we didn't do the B
- 10:14Speaker 8: two attack a number of months ago, they would have
- 10:18Speaker 8: a nuclear weapon. And when crazy people have nuclear weapons,
- 10:21Speaker 8: bad things happen. So we're in very good shape now.
- 10:24Speaker 8: I want to let you know that, and we will
- 10:26Speaker 8: continue forward.
- 10:28Speaker 3: So if you're tracking six months ago, they were close
- 10:30Speaker 3: to a nuclear weapon. Two weeks ago, they would have
- 10:32Speaker 3: also been two weeks away from a nuclear weapon. And
- 10:34Speaker 3: forty seven years ago there were also one week away
- 10:37Speaker 3: from the nuclear weapon. Aka, they've always been just one
- 10:40Speaker 3: week away from a nuclear weapon. I mean, it's a meme,
- 10:42Speaker 3: but it's not funny because one of the things that
- 10:44Speaker 3: we've seen now is that when the administration is pressed
- 10:47Speaker 3: on this and they'll say, why now, right, why now?
- 10:49Speaker 3: Obviously one of the why now's is Israel was going
- 10:52Speaker 3: to do it. Allegedly there was nothing we could do
- 10:54Speaker 3: about it BS but that's their explanation. If you dig further,
- 10:57Speaker 3: they go, well, they're ballistic missile shield was a immunity
- 11:03Speaker 3: shield from the ability to stop a new It's like
- 11:07Speaker 3: this galaxy sixty chess level nonsense. But Donald Trump is
- 11:11Speaker 3: now saying unambiguous. Look, I know that you know, nothing
- 11:14Speaker 3: matters or whatever, but like two weeks away from it's
- 11:16Speaker 3: literally not true that IAA says it's not true. US
- 11:19Speaker 3: intelligence does say it says it's not true. Not even
- 11:21Speaker 3: the Israelis were claiming that they're a week or two
- 11:23Speaker 3: weeks away from a nuclear This is the first time
- 11:24Speaker 3: in history. They're not the ones who are even giving
- 11:27Speaker 3: that level of pretext. And this is now being parodied,
- 11:30Speaker 3: you know about by the President of the United States,
- 11:33Speaker 3: bandied out by the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of State,
- 11:36Speaker 3: every single time that they're out in public and going
- 11:39Speaker 3: on the record in a WMD style propaganda. I even
- 11:43Speaker 3: saw somebody use the term we don't want to see
- 11:47Speaker 3: a mushroom cloud as evident, which is I mean, my god, look,
- 11:50Speaker 3: I know a large a lot of the people who
- 11:52Speaker 3: are watching right now, we're literally not even alive to
- 11:55Speaker 3: see all that. In fact, I'll talk about this later.
- 11:57Speaker 3: One of the troops who was killed was literally not
- 12:00Speaker 3: even alive whenever that propaganda was made. He was born
- 12:03Speaker 3: four to five years after nine to eleven, and he
- 12:06Speaker 3: just died in Kuwait fighting in another Middle Eastern War.
- 12:09Speaker 3: But just to think about how the recycling of the
- 12:13Speaker 3: talking points, of the personalities of Dana Perino. I saw
- 12:16Speaker 3: a screenshot of her yesterday. It was like war in
- 12:18Speaker 3: Iran going so successful. I think it was Tommy Veeder.
- 12:21Speaker 3: He's like privileged to be alive to watch her chill
- 12:24Speaker 3: for a regime change war as a bush flack. And
- 12:27Speaker 3: now on Fox News brit Hume, who was there for both,
- 12:30Speaker 3: is doing the same nonsense. Conda Lieza Rice was on
- 12:33Speaker 3: yesterday on Fox talking about oh, President, mister President finished
- 12:37Speaker 3: the job. The same cast of characters who are here
- 12:40Speaker 3: to sell us the same lives.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Yeah, which is why it would have been really important
- 12:44Speaker 2: to excise all of these people from public life. But
- 12:47Speaker 2: the vast of the majority of them just failed up
- 12:50Speaker 2: and are still with us and in some cases in
- 12:52Speaker 2: control powerful institutions today. So no, I mean, it is
- 12:56Speaker 2: so insane that we are now in this rapidly escalating,
- 13:02Speaker 2: out of control escalation regional war with unknown, cascading, damaging impacts,
- 13:11Speaker 2: and the President of the United States cannot even tell us,
- 13:13Speaker 2: why can't even tell us, Why can't tell us, why
- 13:16Speaker 2: can't tell us?
- 13:17Speaker 4: Why?
- 13:17Speaker 2: Now every day from a different official, we get a
- 13:20Speaker 2: different explanation. Now, to be clear, I'm opposed to all
- 13:24Speaker 2: of those explanations, but it is utter insanity that they
- 13:28Speaker 2: launched this without even having their story straight about what
- 13:31Speaker 2: we're doing, why we're doing it, and why we're doing it.
- 13:35Speaker 4: Now.
- 13:36Speaker 2: You are asking the American taxpayer to flip the bill
- 13:39Speaker 2: for billions of dollars. The estimate is a billion dollars.
- 13:42Speaker 2: Every single day that this goes on, you are asking
- 13:46Speaker 2: these service members to risk their lives for a conflict
- 13:50Speaker 2: that you cannot even explain. Why we're doing it and
- 13:54Speaker 2: why now. It is so insane that we are at
- 13:59Speaker 2: this place. And yet here we are, I mean, there
- 14:01Speaker 2: is very little public support for this. We have all
- 14:04Speaker 2: sorts of problems here at home. You know, they just
- 14:07Speaker 2: refuse to extend the ACA subsidies as one example. You know,
- 14:10Speaker 2: the cost of this war already could have covered the
- 14:13Speaker 2: cost of the increase in premiums for millions of Americans.
- 14:17Speaker 4: So you know, that's where we are.
- 14:19Speaker 2: And every day the president comes out and has some
- 14:22Speaker 2: new story about what the hell is going on here?
- 14:24Speaker 3: Yeah, and a new Pentagon estimate from Nancy Yusef. She's
- 14:27Speaker 3: a longtime Pentagon reporter. I've known her for years. She's
- 14:29Speaker 3: very good. She says, the internal assessment is one billion
- 14:33Speaker 3: dollars per day that the war continues to go on.
- 14:36Speaker 3: That's probably on the low end because it doesn't even
- 14:38Speaker 3: factor in all of the downstream costs about moving a
- 14:42Speaker 3: carrier strike group. I mean, I've talked about this here
- 14:44Speaker 3: on our show before. A single carrier strike group operating
- 14:47Speaker 3: costs just to be able to keep them where they
- 14:48Speaker 3: are is about one hundred to two hundred million dollars.
- 14:51Speaker 3: There are two carrier strike groups that are currently there
- 14:53Speaker 3: in the region, not to mention all of the munitions,
- 14:55Speaker 3: not to mention then all of the lost munitions and
- 14:57Speaker 3: the ability to replace them, which we can't even do
- 15:00Speaker 3: at the current rate, where hundreds of billions of dollars
- 15:04Speaker 3: of equipment of man military are already there, and then
- 15:07Speaker 3: the actual cost just of ramping things up is now
- 15:10Speaker 3: some one billion dollars per day. It's absurd. Let's also
- 15:14Speaker 3: take an update here on this girls' school bombing that
- 15:17Speaker 3: happened on the first day of the campaign. Yesterday during
- 15:22Speaker 3: the Pentagon briefing, there was a there was a map
- 15:26Speaker 3: that was displayed to the public and actually on that
- 15:29Speaker 3: map was a specific dread diamond which was on both
- 15:34Speaker 3: sides of Minim, which is exactly where that girl strikes
- 15:37Speaker 3: or that girls school strike took place. So there's a
- 15:39Speaker 3: lot of questions now as to whether it was actually
- 15:41Speaker 3: the United States and not Israel that carried out that strike.
- 15:44Speaker 3: They're saying that there's an ongoing investigation, but he was
- 15:47Speaker 3: asked about it by the BBC.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Let's take a listen.
- 15:49Speaker 6: Can you give us an update on what the administration knows?
- 15:52Speaker 6: What you know now about the reported strike on a girls'
- 15:55Speaker 6: school in southern Iran on Saturday.
- 15:58Speaker 5: All I know, all I can say is that we're
- 16:00Speaker 5: investigating that. We of course never target civilian targets, but
- 16:05Speaker 5: we're taking a look at investigating that red time front.
- 16:08Speaker 6: Just on the basis that with the information you would
- 16:10Speaker 6: have your reconnaissancibilities ability to gather information. I mean it's
- 16:15Speaker 6: several days on now, so is there any clarity on
- 16:18Speaker 6: whose munition this was.
- 16:20Speaker 5: We're investigating it.
- 16:22Speaker 1: We are investigating it.
- 16:23Speaker 3: And again to make clear, if you look at the
- 16:25Speaker 3: map that was there and you plot the scroll right there,
- 16:28Speaker 3: it's literally right in the cluster zone.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Obviously, I mean the Israelis.
- 16:32Speaker 3: I've already seen their own propaganda there like it wasn't US,
- 16:35Speaker 3: But if it was US, it would have been fine
- 16:37Speaker 3: because it was an IRGC base. In fact, there's some
- 16:40Speaker 3: questions here because apparently it was near an older IRGC
- 16:44Speaker 3: base as to whether this was updated intelligence. But this
- 16:47Speaker 3: is exactly the problem. I mean, who knows put together
- 16:49Speaker 3: that strike package?
- 16:50Speaker 1: Was it ai?
- 16:51Speaker 3: You know that was used to say, plot all of
- 16:53Speaker 3: the known places and then feed that into the military.
- 16:56Speaker 3: The fact that they're not ruling it out immediately, I
- 16:59Speaker 3: will tell you having covered many of these things, that's
- 17:01Speaker 3: a problem.
- 17:02Speaker 1: That's a big, big problem.
- 17:03Speaker 2: So this is the total Israelification of the United States
- 17:06Speaker 2: of America. I mean, this is exactly the type of
- 17:08Speaker 2: to the extent that Israel would ever get pressed on.
- 17:11Speaker 2: You just murdered a bunch of children, you just murdered
- 17:13Speaker 2: a bunch of patients in the hospital, whatever, When it
- 17:15Speaker 2: would actually become a problem for them, this is what
- 17:17Speaker 2: they would say, Oh, we're going to investigate it, we'll
- 17:20Speaker 2: get back to you. And then do they ever investigate it,
- 17:22Speaker 2: Do they ever get back to you, let alone, are
- 17:24Speaker 2: there ever any consequences for anyone who was part of
- 17:27Speaker 2: that decision making, you know the answer to that. And
- 17:30Speaker 2: we can put the next piece up on the screen
- 17:31Speaker 2: because we now have more reporting about exactly how this
- 17:35Speaker 2: strike went down and again the Israelification of the US.
- 17:38Speaker 2: It was apparently a double tap strike. And you guys
- 17:40Speaker 2: know what these are intended to do. You hit an
- 17:43Speaker 2: area once. This area happened to be a girls' school
- 17:46Speaker 2: with children, you know, age roughly like seven to twelve
- 17:49Speaker 2: who were murdered. Okay, Then people gather, they you know,
- 17:53Speaker 2: they get the survivors, parents, Russian first responders to try
- 17:57Speaker 2: to help, to try to you know, staunch the bleeding
- 17:59Speaker 2: and help anyone who can be rescued. And then once
- 18:01Speaker 2: they've gathered, what do you do? You hit them again.
- 18:04Speaker 2: That's apparently according to reporting here from Middle East I
- 18:08Speaker 2: that is what happened in this case. And I just
- 18:11Speaker 2: want you all to remember that five seconds ago, this
- 18:14Speaker 2: president and this whole regime was talking about how much
- 18:17Speaker 2: they care for the Iranian people. They want the Iranian
- 18:20Speaker 2: people to be free, They want their Iranian people to
- 18:23Speaker 2: throw off their oppressors. They stand with the protesters in
- 18:26Speaker 2: the streets, and now here we are murdering their little girls.
- 18:30Speaker 2: And you know, furthermore to the israelification of this war,
- 18:35Speaker 2: what appears to have happened is initially there were you know,
- 18:38Speaker 2: these precision strikes that took out a bunch of the
- 18:42Speaker 2: Iranian leadership, including assassinating the Ayazola, and they were hoping
- 18:47Speaker 2: that would just lead to some sort of regime collapse,
- 18:49Speaker 2: which I think also was the hope when Israel initially
- 18:51Speaker 2: went into Gazakaase he talked about it all the time,
- 18:54Speaker 2: and that didn't happen. So now what are they doing.
- 18:57Speaker 2: They're just carpet bombing Tehran using fewer precision munitions, more
- 19:02Speaker 2: just dumb bombs to you know, drop on a location
- 19:05Speaker 2: and cause severe damage. And there is an irony here
- 19:07Speaker 2: as well, because some of the regimes biggest opponents, the
- 19:11Speaker 2: Iranian regimes biggest opponents are in Tehran, Like that's where
- 19:14Speaker 2: the you know, more secular, more highly educated, more liberal
- 19:17Speaker 2: like the you know, the various protest movements have largely
- 19:19Speaker 2: started in Tehran. There are other you know, areas of
- 19:22Speaker 2: resistance to the Iranian government as well within the country,
- 19:25Speaker 2: but Tehran is a hotbed and that's the place where
- 19:28Speaker 2: the most death and destruction and chaos, which Pete Hegseth
- 19:32Speaker 2: is out there bragging about. That's where they really focused
- 19:34Speaker 2: to these bombing campaigns.
- 19:36Speaker 3: Look like I said, we don't know if it was
- 19:37Speaker 3: us or not. I can just say, having covered the Pentagon,
- 19:40Speaker 3: usually these investigations and all, if it's not us, they
- 19:43Speaker 3: usually say pretty quickly, and if it is, it drags
- 19:46Speaker 3: on for a while before somebody does eventually admit it
- 19:49Speaker 3: and it will be a gigantic sandle and it should be.
- 19:51Speaker 3: And I saw some of these in Afghanistan, in Iraq covered.
- 19:55Speaker 3: Do you remember that hospital that was that was struck? Yes,
- 19:58Speaker 3: in Afghanistan, I cover that entire thing. It was a
- 20:01Speaker 3: total nightmare. A lot of the initial statements that came
- 20:03Speaker 3: out from the military were totally not true. A lot
- 20:05Speaker 3: of the investigation later that followed up it was horrific
- 20:09Speaker 3: of what actually ended up happening. I really hope that
- 20:11Speaker 3: it wasn't us. However, you know, part of the danger
- 20:15Speaker 3: is that between US and Israel it's going to be
- 20:17Speaker 3: a big you know, it's like, are we going to
- 20:19Speaker 3: just come out and say actually it was them? And
- 20:20Speaker 3: then they're you know, they're very happy to say, actually, no,
- 20:22Speaker 3: it was us. And somebody did it, you know, And
- 20:25Speaker 3: initially there was some Israeli claims, They're like, oh, it
- 20:28Speaker 3: was a failed IRGC missile and all of that. There's
- 20:31Speaker 3: no evidence now currently to suggest any of that. But
- 20:34Speaker 3: this will be a major major hit to the prestige
- 20:37Speaker 3: the US military. And I mean, even if it was israelative,
- 20:40Speaker 3: it was done in a joint conjunction with US. Is
- 20:43Speaker 3: really strike. There's a lot of complicity that comes in
- 20:45Speaker 3: that too, for not just selling the weapons, for supporting
- 20:48Speaker 3: or being part and attached to something like that. And
- 20:50Speaker 3: it does show you even the dangers of a so
- 20:52Speaker 3: called precision bombing campaign, which Professor Robert Pape has really
- 20:57Speaker 3: been warning about.
- 20:57Speaker 2: I mean, between the it being you know, a dot
- 21:00Speaker 2: on the map of the strike locations and the fact
- 21:03Speaker 2: that they will not say that it was not US,
- 21:06Speaker 2: I mean, it seems pretty there are two suspects, Israel
- 21:09Speaker 2: or the US. And you know the fact that we're
- 21:13Speaker 2: not denying it at this point I think makes it
- 21:15Speaker 2: pretty clear what ultimately happened here. On your point about AI,
- 21:18Speaker 2: I think is a really important one, just to pause
- 21:19Speaker 2: on for a moment. Part of why Gaza was so
- 21:23Speaker 2: deadly and so horrifying is because it was the first
- 21:26Speaker 2: you know, AI enabled ultimately genocide and the amount of
- 21:31Speaker 2: target generation that was created is what helped to enable
- 21:35Speaker 2: the death and destruction in Gaza. And now you have
- 21:38Speaker 2: you know, they're still using Claude, they're still using Anthropic,
- 21:41Speaker 2: even though they're having some whole spat over that, and
- 21:44Speaker 2: you know, Anthropic as much as they have this brand
- 21:46Speaker 2: that they've publicly created. Oh we're the good guys and
- 21:49Speaker 2: we care about humanity, blah blah blah. Well, that's the
- 21:52Speaker 2: AI that is being used to generate strike packages and
- 21:55Speaker 2: presumably to help create the level of death and destruction
- 21:59Speaker 2: and the deadly nature of what's going on here. You know,
- 22:01Speaker 2: the estimates are at this point some around one thousand
- 22:04Speaker 2: Iranians who have been killed, although it's very difficult to
- 22:07Speaker 2: know precisely what the numbers are for them.
- 22:11Speaker 3: So let's then turn to what I thought was one
- 22:14Speaker 3: of the most single disgraceful utterances by a US Secretary
- 22:17Speaker 3: of Defense ever. Here is Secretary Hegsath who is chastising
- 22:22Speaker 3: the media for covering the depths of American soldiers and
- 22:26Speaker 3: not appropriately cheerleading the war on enough. I couldn't believe
- 22:30Speaker 3: it whenever I saw this happen live. Let's take a listen.
- 22:32Speaker 5: This is what the fake news misses. We've taken control
- 22:36Speaker 5: of Iran's airspace and waterways without boots on the ground.
- 22:42Speaker 1: We control their fate.
- 22:44Speaker 5: But when a few drones get through or tragic things happen,
- 22:48Speaker 5: it's front page news.
- 22:50Speaker 1: I get it.
- 22:51Speaker 5: The press only wants to make the president look bad,
- 22:53Speaker 5: but try for once to report the reality. The terms
- 22:57Speaker 5: of this war will be set by us at every step.
- 23:01Speaker 3: And so he is saying that the fake news does
- 23:03Speaker 3: their part by trying to make the president look bad
- 23:07Speaker 3: because some tragic things happen. Can you imagine a more
- 23:11Speaker 3: disgraceful statement where he is chastising us for covering the
- 23:15Speaker 3: deaths of American American soldiers, by the way, who it
- 23:18Speaker 3: appears were not in a properly fortified tactile operation center, who,
- 23:23Speaker 3: by their own admission, I mean, one of these women
- 23:25Speaker 3: who was killed in the strike, had apparently spoken to
- 23:28Speaker 3: her husband according to his own interviews, about how she
- 23:30Speaker 3: was worried about what was going on. She was working
- 23:33Speaker 3: here in the tactical Operation center, and what they had
- 23:35Speaker 3: done is that they were fighting like the last war,
- 23:38Speaker 3: So they put up these walls that were around the
- 23:40Speaker 3: operation center which were designed for suicide bomb attacks. But
- 23:43Speaker 3: anybody who has watched literally anything about the now four
- 23:46Speaker 3: year long war in Ukraine knows that that's not how
- 23:48Speaker 3: it was going to come. Any sort of attack, it
- 23:50Speaker 3: was going to be by a suicide drone. And that
- 23:51Speaker 3: is exactly what happened, which appeared to have a direct
- 23:54Speaker 3: strike directly on here, which raises a whole number of questions.
- 23:57Speaker 3: Number one, why was there no counter drone stuff that
- 23:59Speaker 3: was even prepared? Right now, the US military is scrambling
- 24:02Speaker 3: and is going to buy counter or drone technology from
- 24:06Speaker 3: the Ukrainians. Not sure why we have to buy it
- 24:08Speaker 3: since we're the ones who paid for it, but okay,
- 24:10Speaker 3: so we're going to buy all of this counter drone
- 24:12Speaker 3: technology stuff from the Ukrainians, which means that we didn't
- 24:14Speaker 3: do any studying. We actually didn't prepare properly for a
- 24:17Speaker 3: lot of the bases. By Donald Trump's own admission, they
- 24:19Speaker 3: have said that they were not prepared for some of
- 24:21Speaker 3: the strikes that were on the Gulf. So that means
- 24:23Speaker 3: there wasn't an active, active planning that happened inside. And
- 24:26Speaker 3: now six of these Americans are dead. And what's worst
- 24:30Speaker 3: about it is that they keep saying, oh, that's just
- 24:33Speaker 3: the first of many to come. They keep saying, oh,
- 24:35Speaker 3: more casualties could be more. I mean, God only knows
- 24:38Speaker 3: are there more that they haven't told us about?
- 24:39Speaker 1: Hope not right?
- 24:41Speaker 3: Having covered this for a long time, usually they just
- 24:42Speaker 3: come out within twenty four hours. But at the very least,
- 24:45Speaker 3: they're expecting more. And the fact that they're expecting and
- 24:47Speaker 3: preparing a public for more and this is the way
- 24:49Speaker 3: that they want to cover it is beyond disgraceful, beyond disgraceful.
- 24:55Speaker 3: So let's you know, they don't want us to cover
- 24:57Speaker 3: apparently these troops because it's bad for morale. It's not
- 25:00Speaker 3: our job to do morale. That's not our job at all.
- 25:03Speaker 3: Let's put some of these up here on this screen.
- 25:06Speaker 3: The Pentagon is now idd six of the soldiers who
- 25:09Speaker 3: were killed in the Kuwait attack. Many of them were
- 25:14Speaker 3: attached to this army reserve unit out of Des Moines, Iowa.
- 25:18Speaker 3: And actually from their ranks you can see that many
- 25:20Speaker 3: of these were very senior US Army personnel. But the
- 25:23Speaker 3: one that sticks with me is this one Sergeant decland Cody.
- 25:27Speaker 3: He was twenty years old. He was a student in
- 25:31Speaker 3: He was a student who was studying information systems, who
- 25:35Speaker 3: was taking classes online from Kuwait, and again a member
- 25:40Speaker 3: of the US Army Reserve. And I want this also
- 25:43Speaker 3: show everybody too. These are people who never I mean, look,
- 25:48Speaker 3: they volunteered. I'm not stepping away from that, but it
- 25:51Speaker 3: shows you the problem of our over extended empire is
- 25:54Speaker 3: that our bases have to be staffed by US Army
- 25:56Speaker 3: reservis because we don't even have enough troops to be
- 25:58Speaker 3: able to staff all these even in a potential active
- 26:01Speaker 3: war zone. And here you have a twenty year old
- 26:04Speaker 3: kid who had his entire life ahead of him, who
- 26:07Speaker 3: was born And I just can't get away from this
- 26:10Speaker 3: four to five years after nine to eleven, who just
- 26:12Speaker 3: perished in another American war in the Middle East. How
- 26:16Speaker 3: does that not break your heart. I've covered so many
- 26:19Speaker 3: of these over the years, written obituaries for kids younger
- 26:22Speaker 3: than me. I wrote my first obituary for a kid
- 26:24Speaker 3: who was younger than me nine years ago who stepped
- 26:27Speaker 3: on an ied in Iraq. And know so many people
- 26:29Speaker 3: who were wounded, or even families of the people who
- 26:32Speaker 3: were killed, who were over there, and now we have
- 26:34Speaker 3: another one, and the Secretary of Defense is telling us
- 26:36Speaker 3: that it is basically, this is two thousand and two,
- 26:39Speaker 3: two thousand and eight BS.
- 26:41Speaker 1: Freedom isn't free.
- 26:42Speaker 3: The only way to support our troops and more in
- 26:43Speaker 3: our dead is to support the war, is to support
- 26:45Speaker 3: the president. And there is nothing less patriotic actually than that.
- 26:50Speaker 3: And we're not falling for this bullshit again. We are
- 26:52Speaker 3: not falling for this bullshit again. I just think it's
- 26:55Speaker 3: so it's not just about disgrace. If you ask me,
- 26:59Speaker 3: there hasn't been enough meat coverage actually of these people,
- 27:02Speaker 3: because we should learn the cost. We talked about the
- 27:04Speaker 3: girls they're dead. Okay, little girls are dead. Who knows
- 27:07Speaker 3: who killed them? Now these these people, they're dead. I mean,
- 27:10Speaker 3: these American soldiers are dead at the decision point of
- 27:15Speaker 3: the United States president of the Israeli president, and their
- 27:18Speaker 3: blood it's on the it's on our leadership. Yeah, and
- 27:21Speaker 3: we should be able to say that without being denigrated
- 27:24Speaker 3: as cowards or anti you know, you know, anti war,
- 27:28Speaker 3: anti American. It's anti American to mourn the deaths of
- 27:32Speaker 3: a twenty year old kid who was in Kuwait, right,
- 27:35Speaker 3: It's just it really really gets me.
- 27:37Speaker 2: It reminds so much of how they were trying to
- 27:40Speaker 2: during their Rock warhide the coffins coming home. They didn't
- 27:43Speaker 2: want photographs, they didn't want pictures of that, because, yeah,
- 27:45Speaker 2: they don't want people to actually grapple with the cost
- 27:49Speaker 2: And you know, the elites of this country, it's not
- 27:52Speaker 2: their sons and daughters buy and large, you go and
- 27:54Speaker 2: fight and die, and these wars barons not gonna be
- 27:55Speaker 2: headed over there anytime soon. And they seem to view
- 27:59Speaker 2: all of this like it's some kind of game or
- 28:02Speaker 2: you know, TV show is I mean, obviously we have
- 28:05Speaker 2: a reality TV president, but Pete hegsath too is primarily
- 28:08Speaker 2: a TV personality, and he's a man who is clearly
- 28:11Speaker 2: out of his depth and he knows that, and so
- 28:14Speaker 2: he has adopted this persona that he thinks makes him
- 28:18Speaker 2: look like a tough guy. And he's adopted these sort
- 28:20Speaker 2: of like habits of discourse that he's drawn from, you know,
- 28:25Speaker 2: what he thinks Trump would say. And Trump's the ultimate,
- 28:28Speaker 2: you know, the ultimate daddy figure for the MAGA, right,
- 28:32Speaker 2: and so he thinks that by lashing out at the
- 28:35Speaker 2: fake news media trying to make the president look good,
- 28:37Speaker 2: look bad, rather that he's going to look like a
- 28:40Speaker 2: big man.
- 28:40Speaker 4: He's going to look like he's doing the right thing here.
- 28:43Speaker 2: And you know, I mean this whole presser where he's
- 28:45Speaker 2: talking about we're going to rain down death and destruction.
- 28:49Speaker 2: He's playing a character. He's decided he wants to adopt
- 28:53Speaker 2: this persona of like a comic book villain. And that's
- 28:56Speaker 2: his whole approach to this, because he does not know
- 28:59Speaker 2: what he's doing. We were before this, I mean, at
- 29:02Speaker 2: the very beginning of the administration, we're reporting about how
- 29:04Speaker 2: the Pentagon is total chaos under him, like he.
- 29:07Speaker 4: Has no business being in this position.
- 29:09Speaker 2: And what a disgrace that now we have American service
- 29:13Speaker 2: members dead, we have Iranian civilians dead, We have people
- 29:17Speaker 2: dead throughout the entire region.
- 29:18Speaker 3: Huaighty soldiers who've been killed, absolutely guards, random personnel, airport guys.
- 29:24Speaker 2: I mean, the Israelis are blown up the police stations
- 29:27Speaker 2: in Iran because they want to foment chaos and civil
- 29:30Speaker 2: war and some sort of uprising. And the President of
- 29:33Speaker 2: the United States cannot even give a straight answer about
- 29:37Speaker 2: what the hell the goal is and why we're doing it.
- 29:40Speaker 2: Just think about that, and you know, I keep coming
- 29:43Speaker 2: back to some of the emails that reveal the way
- 29:45Speaker 2: that these people just do not see others below the
- 29:48Speaker 2: elite class as being truly human. So they're happy to
- 29:51Speaker 2: throw you know, your sons and daughters into a meat
- 29:54Speaker 2: grinder because you know, for whatever reasons, because Israel pressure
- 29:58Speaker 2: does because I want to look like a big, tough guy,
- 30:00Speaker 2: because I feel like more of a man when I
- 30:03Speaker 2: can send American fighters in potentially to their death. And
- 30:06Speaker 2: you know, that's it's sick, it's depraved, and that's exactly
- 30:09Speaker 2: what's going on here.
- 30:10Speaker 3: I want to call now for a video which is
- 30:13Speaker 3: put out by the White House where they literally edited
- 30:16Speaker 3: war that is currently happening with an intro from a
- 30:19Speaker 3: video game, just to show you the entertainment value.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Let's take a listen. So there you go. They're literally
- 30:33Speaker 1: tweeting out that's an actual video.
- 30:35Speaker 3: We're released by the White House of the United States
- 30:37Speaker 3: of America with the title courtesy of the Red, White,
- 30:40Speaker 3: and Blue Country music Lyrics and video games.
- 30:43Speaker 1: It's not a game.
- 30:44Speaker 3: It's not a game to the family of a twenty
- 30:45Speaker 3: year old, it's not a game to a mother of two.
- 30:48Speaker 3: And think about you know some of these some of
- 30:49Speaker 3: these people there. You read their stories in this NBC
- 30:53Speaker 3: News article. They're like, oh, she loved gardening, you know,
- 30:56Speaker 3: and these people are dead. Not to mention some of
- 30:58Speaker 3: these girls and others in Iowa, they're mourning them. You know,
- 31:01Speaker 3: the university of this kid went to. They're talking about, Oh,
- 31:04Speaker 3: he was so great and loved his work. Is his
- 31:07Speaker 3: father and sister.
- 31:08Speaker 1: Talking about this.
- 31:09Speaker 3: His sister was talking about how upset she was thinking
- 31:11Speaker 3: about how scared he was near the end. People shouldn't
- 31:13Speaker 3: have to think that or if their lives are going
- 31:15Speaker 3: to be on the line. And everyone's like, oh, they
- 31:16Speaker 3: volunteered for it. I mean, look, yeah, I think they volunteered,
- 31:19Speaker 3: you know, with the theory at least, I think the
- 31:22Speaker 3: theory that their lives would not be fodder for video
- 31:26Speaker 3: games and for you know, egomaniacal power plays or being
- 31:32Speaker 3: jerked around religious religious blood.
- 31:36Speaker 1: Holy wars exactly.
- 31:37Speaker 3: And so that is the ultimate you know, screw you,
- 31:40Speaker 3: I think, to an all volunteer military force.
- 31:43Speaker 2: Yeah, and look, the military brass the share of the
- 31:49Speaker 2: Joint chiefs was warning like, it's not like they didn't know, right,
- 31:52Speaker 2: I mean, we're not rocket scientists over here, and we've
- 31:55Speaker 2: been tracking this problem with the stockpiles of weaponry and
- 31:58Speaker 2: interceptors in for two ticular. You know, this drone technology
- 32:03Speaker 2: has been used extensively in Ukraine, these Shahid drones, and
- 32:07Speaker 2: so this was all known, it was all very predictable,
- 32:12Speaker 2: and yet you know, these individuals, these service members were
- 32:18Speaker 2: in completely unprotected in like a triple wide trailer, and
- 32:23Speaker 2: the US rushes into this thing because of whatever basket
- 32:27Speaker 2: of weird reasons, many of which we still don't even know.
- 32:30Speaker 2: But with this, yeah, this holy war, you know, justification
- 32:33Speaker 2: now increasingly coming out. Of course, he set's got his
- 32:35Speaker 2: Crusader Cross tattoo, et cetera, et cetera. Trump who knows
- 32:39Speaker 2: what's in the Epstein files and what his and the
- 32:41Speaker 2: money he's taken from Miriam Addelson and what all is
- 32:44Speaker 2: going on in the background, And he feels like such
- 32:45Speaker 2: a big tough guy after Venezuela, and all of that
- 32:47Speaker 2: fuels now us being pushed into this conflict that the
- 32:51Speaker 2: American people do not support. And so yeah, it's sad.
- 32:55Speaker 2: These these individuals trusted the American government to take their
- 32:59Speaker 2: live series and to not risk their lives without a
- 33:02Speaker 2: good reason. And ultimately, you know, they were betrayed. Yeah,
- 33:05Speaker 2: that's the bottom line.
- 33:06Speaker 3: Exactly, and I think everybody should be able to say that.
- 33:11Speaker 3: Turning now to some updates on the battlefield, a huge
- 33:15Speaker 3: decision leaking out now from Washington. Let's put this up
- 33:17Speaker 3: here on the screen. Do cape some of this in
- 33:20Speaker 3: mind that things are fast moving and this itself could
- 33:23Speaker 3: be a bit of a change. But what they are
- 33:25Speaker 3: reporting is that Trump calls on the Kurds to aid
- 33:28Speaker 3: US effort in Iran, quote offers support. In my opinion,
- 33:32Speaker 3: they're dramatically underplaying this because they say quote and calls
- 33:35Speaker 3: this week to Kourdish minority leaders in Iran and neighboring Iraq.
- 33:39Speaker 3: President Trump has offered quote extensive US air cover and
- 33:43Speaker 3: other backing for anti regime Iranian Kurds to take over
- 33:47Speaker 3: portions of western Iran. This is basically the two thousand
- 33:52Speaker 3: and one Afghanistan model. And this is the closest that
- 33:55Speaker 3: we are going to come now so far of an
- 33:57Speaker 3: admission about boots on the ground. In fact, Crystal, if
- 34:00Speaker 3: you pair some of the fear of those Democratic senators,
- 34:03Speaker 3: I believe that this is what it was about. Because
- 34:05Speaker 3: just to explain, if you weren't following the way that
- 34:08Speaker 3: it worked is that we had these so called like
- 34:10Speaker 3: special Forces advisors that were on the ground with the
- 34:14Speaker 3: Northern Alliance. They were calling in air strikes. We had
- 34:16Speaker 3: air cover that would come in support the Army CIA. Actually,
- 34:20Speaker 3: I believe the CIA officer were the first person was
- 34:21Speaker 3: even killed in the war in Afghanistan. So you could
- 34:24Speaker 3: see that this is exactly the way that this would
- 34:27Speaker 3: that this would happen. We know from some previous reporting
- 34:29Speaker 3: already that many of these Kurdish separatist groups inside of
- 34:33Speaker 3: Iran have had CIA munitions provided to them now for weeks.
- 34:37Speaker 1: In addition to Massad.
- 34:38Speaker 3: It would make sense too because we know from the
- 34:40Speaker 3: Masad and from others that there was a lot of
- 34:42Speaker 3: smuggling to inside of Iran during the protest movement, which
- 34:45Speaker 3: would make sense.
- 34:46Speaker 1: Now.
- 34:46Speaker 3: We also know in northern Iraq, which is where all
- 34:49Speaker 3: the Kurds is Kurdistan as part of that country, that
- 34:51Speaker 3: many of these groups, you know, it's like transnational in
- 34:53Speaker 3: terms of moving back and forth. There's a lot of
- 34:56Speaker 3: loyalty of course, and support from the military. There's a
- 34:58Speaker 3: military base. If there was a US support civil war effort.
- 35:03Speaker 3: This is exactly what it would look like this would
- 35:05Speaker 3: of course be a direct effort to balkanize and destroy
- 35:09Speaker 3: the entire country.
- 35:10Speaker 1: That's what you do.
- 35:10Speaker 3: This is civil war. This is the Afghanistan, Libya, Syria model.
- 35:13Speaker 3: What you do You pour a bunch of weapons into
- 35:16Speaker 3: a group and you basically say we've got your back.
- 35:18Speaker 3: You don't actually have their back, as the Curs I
- 35:20Speaker 3: think have learned for many years, but you will be
- 35:22Speaker 3: a useful tool. Yeah, they probably have. I don't know
- 35:25Speaker 3: this time. We promise right this time. So what We're
- 35:27Speaker 3: going to give you a bunch of weapons, We'll give
- 35:28Speaker 3: you some air cover. We're going to use you as
- 35:30Speaker 3: a tool, as a cudgel to basically try to destroy
- 35:33Speaker 3: the regime in the interim.
- 35:34Speaker 1: Who's going to take that? Laying down? Oh, Ankara, I'm
- 35:37Speaker 1: sure that.
- 35:37Speaker 3: The Turks will just be like, oh, for sure, will
- 35:40Speaker 3: allow an independent Curtistan to happen.
- 35:42Speaker 1: Nope, not going to happen.
- 35:43Speaker 3: There will be some funneling itself of weapons, perhaps their
- 35:46Speaker 3: own use of air strikes. Everything I'm talking about already
- 35:48Speaker 3: happened in Syria literally within the last decade.
- 35:51Speaker 1: We know that this will happen. And then what's going
- 35:53Speaker 1: to happen.
- 35:53Speaker 3: Well, that's going to inspire some sectarian conflict, which usually
- 35:58Speaker 3: goes super well. Right for the United States, We've definitely
- 36:00Speaker 3: got a handle on that. A nationalism, let's say, amongst
- 36:03Speaker 3: the Iranian population, which is still loyal to the regime.
- 36:07Speaker 3: They'll call up young people. It's as if the Irani
- 36:10Speaker 3: Rock War, one of the bloodiest conflicts in human history,
- 36:13Speaker 3: had never happened before.
- 36:14Speaker 1: Look at their capacity.
- 36:15Speaker 3: For suffering, for death, to be able to absorb all
- 36:18Speaker 3: of these losses, even whenever we're striking them from the air.
- 36:21Speaker 3: So could this is not just an effort at regime chain,
- 36:25Speaker 3: it is an effort at regime collapse. Yeah, a full
- 36:27Speaker 3: blown insurgency. Ninety two million people live in this country,
- 36:32Speaker 3: so many different popular with Azaris and all these other
- 36:34Speaker 3: people who are all talking right now, they'll get involved,
- 36:37Speaker 3: their proxies and others will funnel weapons, and it will
- 36:40Speaker 3: look like Syria or Libya completely collapse, failed state, except
- 36:44Speaker 3: with ten x the population. Refugees going everywhere, already seeing
- 36:49Speaker 3: reports about people trying to leave the country of Iran. Yesterday,
- 36:53Speaker 3: somebody was talking to me about this Pakistani faction on
- 36:56Speaker 3: their border and their own funding that we could potently
- 37:00Speaker 3: use as a cudgel there.
- 37:02Speaker 1: This is a nightmare.
- 37:03Speaker 3: I mean, prepared to get acquainted with terms like Blokis
- 37:07Speaker 3: and Kurds. And now there's a Christian population Azari's. It's
- 37:12Speaker 3: not just one homogeneous population who all hate us, regardless
- 37:17Speaker 3: of what the Trump administration is trying to sell us.
- 37:19Speaker 3: This is the most dangerous turn yet. This is the
- 37:22Speaker 3: Seria Libya model. They don't want to declare victory, and
- 37:24Speaker 3: I think this is why the Democratic senators were sounding
- 37:27Speaker 3: the alarm. There is no possibility of some sort of
- 37:29Speaker 3: armed incursion where you just give them the weapons, where
- 37:31Speaker 3: there aren't you special advisors on the ground. That's a
- 37:33Speaker 3: boot on the ground, regardless of how they want to
- 37:35Speaker 3: define it or not. Happen in Afghanistan, happened in Libya,
- 37:38Speaker 3: happen happen in Syria as well. Then that's why we
- 37:41Speaker 3: just withdrew all of our But why do you think
- 37:43Speaker 3: we had all those bases in Syria for exactly operations
- 37:46Speaker 3: like this? So this is I mean also the last thing.
- 37:49Speaker 3: This is an absolute confirmation. This is going to happen forever,
- 37:53Speaker 3: like you don't six weeks, eight weeks. No, this is
- 37:56Speaker 3: a year's long commitment at this point if they're going
- 37:58Speaker 3: to go down this road.
- 38:00Speaker 1: So we don't know.
- 38:01Speaker 3: I mean, some sources claiming that it's already happening, some
- 38:03Speaker 3: saying no, that that's fake news. But regardless from the
- 38:06Speaker 3: very top, the President of the United States on the
- 38:09Speaker 3: phone with regime change activists saying, Oh, we're going to
- 38:11Speaker 3: give you air cover.
- 38:13Speaker 1: That's it.
- 38:13Speaker 3: That's a you know, as long as it gets in
- 38:15Speaker 3: terms of foreign entanglement.
- 38:16Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a lot to learn from those. It could
- 38:18Speaker 2: put be one up on the screen, because initially there
- 38:20Speaker 2: were these very certain reports from all of the regime stenographers,
- 38:24Speaker 2: like the Barock revieds et cetera, that Kurdish forces in
- 38:27Speaker 2: a Rock had launched a ground military offensive into a Run,
- 38:30Speaker 2: that this was happening. They had crossed the borders, they
- 38:33Speaker 2: were in I run and we covered before how you know,
- 38:36Speaker 2: we had taken out a bunch of these border guards
- 38:38Speaker 2: along the border to enable exactly this. So it felt,
- 38:42Speaker 2: you know, it seemed credible and it's exactly the kind
- 38:44Speaker 2: of shit that we do all the time, and that
- 38:45Speaker 2: the Israelis would be interested exactly for this reason to
- 38:48Speaker 2: try to collapse the state this seems to have been
- 38:51Speaker 2: based on what we can tell, put B two up
- 38:53Speaker 2: on the screen more of a sy op and wish
- 38:56Speaker 2: casting than it was an actual reality in terms of
- 38:59Speaker 2: facts on the ground, because the leaders of various of
- 39:02Speaker 2: these Kurdish factions denied that any of this was happening.
- 39:06Speaker 2: So this is from drop site News some exclusive reporting
- 39:09Speaker 2: from them, they say. Multiple media reports, including some citing
- 39:12Speaker 2: anonymous US officials, have indicated Kurdish militants have now crossed
- 39:16Speaker 2: from Iraq into Iran in order to seize Kurdish territory
- 39:19Speaker 2: in spark and uprising. The reports follow claims the CIA
- 39:21Speaker 2: has been seeking to arm Kurdish fighters to destabilize Iran.
- 39:24Speaker 2: Such an incursion remains a future possibility, but well informed
- 39:28Speaker 2: sources tell drop site News no such evasion has yet
- 39:31Speaker 2: to take place. Journalist Alexis Delumi, who is in Syrian
- 39:35Speaker 2: and Iraqi Kurdistan reporting for drop Site incredible they have.
- 39:38Speaker 2: This person reports that three sources from the Kurdish Liberation
- 39:41Speaker 2: movement with knowledge of the situation have told him no
- 39:44Speaker 2: such invasion is underway and that PJAKA the only Kurdish
- 39:48Speaker 2: organization with robust military capacity that is part of the
- 39:51Speaker 2: coalition being discussed is unlikely to make such a move
- 39:55Speaker 2: at this moment. Now, what have these reports done.
- 39:59Speaker 4: Well?
- 39:59Speaker 2: For one thing, they create the idea in the public
- 40:05Speaker 2: that you are going to have this uprising, that you
- 40:07Speaker 2: have these forces coming in, that there's this ground invasion,
- 40:11Speaker 2: and by the way, of course, they don't talk about
- 40:13Speaker 2: our direct involvement in any of this, that there's this natural,
- 40:16Speaker 2: organic uprising. It also makes these Kurdish forces targets for
- 40:21Speaker 2: the Iranians, and in fact, there were reports yesterday that
- 40:24Speaker 2: the Iranians started bombing some of the Kurdish forces and
- 40:28Speaker 2: factions as a result of this reporting, saying that a
- 40:31Speaker 2: ground invasion had already begun. All of this is a
- 40:35Speaker 2: long way to say there are already multiple syops that
- 40:39Speaker 2: are being operated by our government, by the Israelis no doubt,
- 40:42Speaker 2: by the Iranians as well, And so be very very
- 40:45Speaker 2: leery of any of the information that comes out wait
- 40:49Speaker 2: until things are confirmed with evidence, because the information warfare
- 40:54Speaker 2: is just as thick and just as heavy handed as
- 40:57Speaker 2: the actual warfare on the ground.
- 40:58Speaker 3: That's exactly right, very important, But also you can gleam,
- 41:02Speaker 3: you can glean this, what you can gleam is that
- 41:05Speaker 3: they want the impression of a civil war to happen,
- 41:09Speaker 3: to widen the war, to collapse the regime, to get
- 41:12Speaker 3: them afraid inside. None of this is consistent with any
- 41:15Speaker 3: of the current statements, like at least that are on
- 41:18Speaker 3: the record from the Secretary of State, from the Vice President,
- 41:21Speaker 3: They're like, look, we just want to degrade their capacity,
- 41:24Speaker 3: and we would prefer if somebody took over who was better.
- 41:27Speaker 1: But we're not going to do very much about it.
- 41:30Speaker 1: That's not the same thing.
- 41:31Speaker 3: That is not what we are watching all happen in
- 41:34Speaker 3: front of our eyes. Let's actually take a look now
- 41:36Speaker 3: at some of these strikes that are coming out from Tehran.
- 41:40Speaker 3: From a limited amount of video that we've been able
- 41:43Speaker 3: to see, by the way, we should get some better video.
- 41:45Speaker 3: We have a couple of international journalists to just crass
- 41:47Speaker 3: the Iranian border this morning, but you can see I mean,
- 41:51Speaker 3: I mean this is in broad daylight, just blowing the
- 41:54Speaker 3: crap out.
- 41:54Speaker 1: Of buildings people.
- 41:56Speaker 3: You have millions of people in a highly urban area.
- 42:00Speaker 3: There are some reporting I've seen that a large portion
- 42:03Speaker 3: of the city has been evacuated. But what you could
- 42:05Speaker 3: really take away, I think from that is that these
- 42:08Speaker 3: are Look again, we don't even know if it's US
- 42:10Speaker 3: or Forsraeli strikes. The US government has already said, oh
- 42:14Speaker 3: my god, you know so much is happening.
- 42:15Speaker 1: We haven't even cut this.
- 42:16Speaker 3: Did you notice the Secretary of Defense and General Kine brag.
- 42:22Speaker 3: They said, some of you may remember Iraq two thousand
- 42:25Speaker 3: and three. We have dropped twice the amount of bombs
- 42:28Speaker 3: from two thousand and three Shakanaw. And I was like, wait,
- 42:31Speaker 3: we're bragging about that. I was like, do we look
- 42:33Speaker 3: back on that as a victory? Did anybody at the
- 42:35Speaker 3: White House go, do we really want comparisons to Shakanaw.
- 42:39Speaker 3: So they're telling us, you can literally take their own
- 42:41Speaker 3: word for it. We've dropped two times the amount of
- 42:43Speaker 3: bombs in Shakanaw in the middle of Iraq. If you
- 42:46Speaker 3: remember what all of that looked like. So remember again
- 42:49Speaker 3: about censorship and about some of the video very limited
- 42:52Speaker 3: amount that is already coming out. We should hopefully be
- 42:55Speaker 3: able to get a little bit more information as some
- 42:57Speaker 3: of these international journalists continue to cross into Iran. Let's
- 43:01Speaker 3: also again just to underscore that point, here's a clip
- 43:04Speaker 3: from CNN where they're openly saying, hey, we would show
- 43:07Speaker 3: you this, but the Israeli government doesn't want us to.
- 43:09Speaker 2: Let's take a listen, we're not showing you that because
- 43:12Speaker 2: we're not going to show Israeli government does not allow
- 43:15Speaker 2: us or want us to show where that may have come.
- 43:17Speaker 1: Up that interceptor.
- 43:18Speaker 3: Okay, so we're not going to show you that. I mean,
- 43:21Speaker 3: thanks for the honesty, I guess. But it does demonstrate
- 43:24Speaker 3: and we've seen this from Trey Yanks, from Jeremy Diamond,
- 43:26Speaker 3: now from CNN and others. They're very consistent about, hey,
- 43:30Speaker 3: we can't show this to you because the Israeli government
- 43:32Speaker 3: well less In fact, there was a CNN Turk crew
- 43:35Speaker 3: filming crew who was arrest detained on camera while they
- 43:38Speaker 3: were filming in the middle of Israel, and the Israelis
- 43:41Speaker 3: were like, hey, you got to stop, and they took
- 43:43Speaker 3: the camera down and they started taking you remember during
- 43:45Speaker 3: the Twelve Day War they did the same thing when
- 43:47Speaker 3: you were showing some of the damage that had already happened.
- 43:51Speaker 3: We do know from just from the ballistic missile alerts
- 43:54Speaker 3: that there were tons of alerts last night and I
- 43:56Speaker 3: wake up this morning, nothing, there's no video at all.
- 43:59Speaker 3: It's like really you intercepted all of them.
- 44:01Speaker 1: I don't think so.
- 44:02Speaker 3: And yet that's what the level of war reporting is
- 44:05Speaker 3: right now. Remember in Gaza too, that they would often
- 44:08Speaker 3: take journalists on a ride and then confiscate or check
- 44:12Speaker 3: their footage whenever they were coming out, and they said,
- 44:14Speaker 3: you're only allowed to report whatever we tell you.
- 44:16Speaker 1: So everyone be extremely wary of what that looks like.
- 44:19Speaker 2: They're still not allowing international journalists inside of Gaza. So
- 44:23Speaker 2: I mean that, yeah, that's the level of control. And
- 44:26Speaker 2: look it goes without saying. It's crazy how these quote
- 44:30Speaker 2: unquote journalists they just accept this, like they don't even
- 44:32Speaker 2: feel ashamed when they're telling you, like, oh, we're not
- 44:34Speaker 2: going to show this because the Israeli government doesn't want
- 44:37Speaker 2: you to. I feel like, I mean, they definitely would
- 44:40Speaker 2: feel more sense of upset if it was the American
- 44:44Speaker 2: government telling that. If it was Trump, you know who
- 44:46Speaker 2: was saying oh, you can't film that, they'd be like,
- 44:47Speaker 2: screw you, We're going to film in any way.
- 44:49Speaker 4: Press freedom.
- 44:49Speaker 2: But when it's the Israeli, oh, we've got to listen
- 44:51Speaker 2: to the Israelis can't show that, et cetera, et cetera.
- 44:53Speaker 2: It's crazy to that point, you know, let's put b
- 44:56Speaker 2: ten actually up on the screen, because you know, it's
- 45:00Speaker 2: clear that the person who really has the broader plan
- 45:05Speaker 2: in mind and is driving the train at this point
- 45:08Speaker 2: is Benjamin Netanyahu.
- 45:09Speaker 4: So it's very important to pay attention to.
- 45:12Speaker 2: The Israeli press to statements from net Yahoo and his
- 45:16Speaker 2: crew of total psychos that are over there in Israel
- 45:19Speaker 2: that are driving the show, that have their own like
- 45:21Speaker 2: you know, biblical religious like blood feud ideas in mind
- 45:25Speaker 2: here as well. But in any case, this was an
- 45:27Speaker 2: important article from the Financial Times because it has some
- 45:30Speaker 2: reporting about the way the Israelis are thinking about this.
- 45:33Speaker 2: It says Israel expects weeks long war against Iran, in
- 45:37Speaker 2: other words, not some quick in and out. There was
- 45:40Speaker 2: some reporting that net Yahoo was concerned that Trump may
- 45:44Speaker 2: have been talking to the Iranians through back channels and
- 45:47Speaker 2: had to like check in and make sure that there's
- 45:49Speaker 2: not any possibility that this war's going to end anytime soon.
- 45:52Speaker 2: I'm not sure that those you know, back channels were
- 45:53Speaker 2: open anyway, but nan Yahoo had to check in and
- 45:56Speaker 2: make sure that the war was going to keep going.
- 45:58Speaker 2: We need war, death, more destruction, war chaos more, refugee crisis, etc.
- 46:02Speaker 2: In any case, an analyst told the Financial Time, summarizing
- 46:06Speaker 2: the Israeli government's position, quote, if we can have a coup, great,
- 46:11Speaker 2: If we can have people on the streets, great, If
- 46:14Speaker 2: we can have a civil war, great. Israel could not
- 46:18Speaker 2: care less about the future or the stability of Iran.
- 46:22Speaker 2: That is a point of difference between US and the US.
- 46:24Speaker 2: I think Washington is more concerned about nation building and
- 46:28Speaker 2: threats to their regional partners.
- 46:30Speaker 4: So put that.
- 46:31Speaker 2: Together with the reporting about the at least arming and
- 46:36Speaker 2: of these Kourdish factions and trying to push them to
- 46:40Speaker 2: invade and spark some sort of a local uprising, and
- 46:44Speaker 2: you can see whose plan is in control.
- 46:47Speaker 4: Now.
- 46:47Speaker 2: I don't know what the Israelis sold Trump. I don't
- 46:49Speaker 2: know what Trump is dumb enough to believe in terms
- 46:51Speaker 2: of what could be accomplished, whether he really did buy that.
- 46:54Speaker 2: If you just take out the iatola and you know,
- 46:56Speaker 2: they're going to greet us as liberators with flowers in
- 46:58Speaker 2: the streets, and we're going to have this great democratic
- 47:01Speaker 2: Iran that's going to love the United States of America
- 47:04Speaker 2: and want to do all sorts of business deals with
- 47:06Speaker 2: you and the Trump Tower Tehran is going to be
- 47:07Speaker 2: going up any minute.
- 47:08Speaker 4: I don't know if he.
- 47:09Speaker 2: Was actually dumb enough to believe that, But now that
- 47:13Speaker 2: he has certainly been disabused of that notion, if he
- 47:16Speaker 2: had that notion before, well what other plan can there
- 47:19Speaker 2: possibly be other than we want to collapse this entire state.
- 47:24Speaker 2: We just want chaos, We just want mayhem. The literal
- 47:27Speaker 2: quote here is if we can have a civil war, great,
- 47:30Speaker 2: Think of how sick that is. Think of how destabilizing.
- 47:33Speaker 2: And you're talking about a country of ninety million people.
- 47:37Speaker 2: Think about the blowback and spiral effects that we can't
- 47:40Speaker 2: even contemplate at this point. I mean, we just have
- 47:41Speaker 2: the roadmap of like a rock and what we saw
- 47:43Speaker 2: happen there, Libyan, what we saw happen there. You know,
- 47:46Speaker 2: it's incredibly unpredictable when you destabilize, or when your goal
- 47:50Speaker 2: is to thoroughly destabilize a country as large and as
- 47:53Speaker 2: diverse and as important for the global economy as Iran is.
- 47:59Speaker 2: And yet you know that's what that's what Israel is
- 48:01Speaker 2: aiming for. And by you know, for whatever reason, the
- 48:06Speaker 2: US has decided to go along with that plan. So
- 48:10Speaker 2: that is the actual plan that is in action now.
- 48:12Speaker 2: And to Sager's point, there is no way this thing
- 48:14Speaker 2: is going to be quick. We're not going to be
- 48:16Speaker 2: getting out of here anytime.
- 48:17Speaker 3: There's only one Trump would have to make, the heroic decision,
- 48:20Speaker 3: the actual heroic decision of saying I fucked up and
- 48:23Speaker 3: I had this is over.
- 48:24Speaker 1: He could have only decisions.
- 48:26Speaker 2: He could have after they assassinated the Ietola. He could
- 48:30Speaker 2: have claimed that this was some glorious victory and they're
- 48:33Speaker 2: gonna you know, they're not gonna do a nuke, and
- 48:36Speaker 2: so we can mission accomplished.
- 48:38Speaker 4: See you later. Let's just not talk about this again.
- 48:40Speaker 2: And he didn't take that, you know, we didn't take
- 48:42Speaker 2: that opportunity for you know, reasons that continue to remain
- 48:46Speaker 2: somewhat shrouded in mystery.
- 48:48Speaker 3: And let's just say now that at this point we're
- 48:51Speaker 3: in it. You know. Now, Americans are dead. Now, installations,
- 48:54Speaker 3: bases are hit. Let's put be six up.
- 48:56Speaker 1: Here on the screens, falling right. Yeah, three fighter jets
- 48:59Speaker 1: which have all.
- 49:00Speaker 3: Been actually accidentally accidentally by the Kuwaitis.
- 49:04Speaker 1: Apparently shows you the level of coordination.
- 49:07Speaker 3: This from the New York Times, which we're showing you
- 49:09Speaker 3: some of these images demonstrate some of the bases which
- 49:13Speaker 3: have been hit, and you can actually see the various
- 49:15Speaker 3: different structures, all of which have either been wiped out.
- 49:18Speaker 3: These are very sophisticated suicide drone strikes by the Iranians,
- 49:22Speaker 3: very targeted at radar systems and communications specifically because those
- 49:27Speaker 3: are the coordinating radar from much of the interceptors and others.
- 49:30Speaker 3: This could explain perhaps why we've seen some of the
- 49:33Speaker 3: strikes that have already happened, Iranian strikes inside of the
- 49:36Speaker 3: Gulf countries, because they rely on some of these communication
- 49:39Speaker 3: infrastructures and radars to be able to be able to
- 49:42Speaker 3: coordinate their air defense. And they say US military communication
- 49:46Speaker 3: infratructure highly classified, making it difficult to determine what exact systems,
- 49:50Speaker 3: but the targeted locations seem to indicate Iran was aiming
- 49:52Speaker 3: to disrupt the ability to communicate and to coordinate. And
- 49:55Speaker 3: I mean, look, we've already seen problems with that in Kuwait.
- 49:58Speaker 3: They say Iran has attacked the military cary communications capacity
- 50:01Speaker 3: even recently as June whenever it tried to hit Qatar.
- 50:04Speaker 3: In multiple of these instances we saw and that kuwate
- 50:07Speaker 3: or sorry that Qatar bass is really troubling because you
- 50:10Speaker 3: could see a big impact that happened in one of
- 50:13Speaker 3: those images. And just to beat the drum on our stockpiles,
- 50:17Speaker 3: let's go to B seven please and put this on
- 50:19Speaker 3: the screen. This is the clearest sign yet so far
- 50:22Speaker 3: that things are not nearly as rosy as they're trying
- 50:24Speaker 3: to paint. Defense executives are now planning to meet at
- 50:27Speaker 3: the White House as strikes on Iran diminish stockpiles. So
- 50:31Speaker 3: basically it's like an emergency summer. It's basically like an
- 50:36Speaker 3: emergency summoning to the White House where the White House
- 50:40Speaker 3: is going to read them a riot Act and they're like, hey,
- 50:43Speaker 3: you guys need to create more missiles. And they're like
- 50:45Speaker 3: we can't because it's not just a process which gets
- 50:48Speaker 3: spun up overnight. It actually takes years, which is why
- 50:52Speaker 3: people like us have been talking about this four years.
- 50:55Speaker 3: It's all out, there's public record. They have to show this, literally,
- 50:58Speaker 3: they have to show and allocate the number missiles and
- 51:00Speaker 3: interceptors and all these other things that they buy in Congress.
- 51:04Speaker 3: I've gotten so much pushback, like as if you know that,
- 51:07Speaker 3: it's not about me knowing.
- 51:08Speaker 1: It's like they.
- 51:09Speaker 3: Published the document. Literally, Congress can even tell you. That's
- 51:12Speaker 3: because they have to report to them. It's all in files.
- 51:15Speaker 3: You can go and check it for yourself if you
- 51:16Speaker 3: want to. What we see inside this report, this summoning
- 51:20Speaker 3: of these defense executives is that even if we try
- 51:23Speaker 3: to throw the money at them, that the timeline for
- 51:26Speaker 3: production takes years. Like you could literally try to nationalize
- 51:30Speaker 3: the industry and even with that, you could not x
- 51:33Speaker 3: the capacity enough to be able to fulfill already what
- 51:36Speaker 3: we have used in this conflict. So that means that
- 51:39Speaker 3: we have a couple of options you have to use.
- 51:41Speaker 3: As you were talking about dumb bombs, it's not exactly right,
- 51:43Speaker 3: but like, we have a large stackpile of these jadeams,
- 51:45Speaker 3: but what we don't have are these interceptors, these Tomahawk
- 51:48Speaker 3: missiles or nearly as much, and the capacity to replace
- 51:51Speaker 3: them is extremely difficult and they're massively expensive. So that
- 51:56Speaker 3: means while we do have stockpiles elsewhere that you have
- 51:58Speaker 3: to take it from there. Well, there's already a huge
- 52:01Speaker 3: shit storm in the military because a lot of the
- 52:03Speaker 3: people who are in charge of defending the Pacific are like,
- 52:05Speaker 3: we can't give this up because if we give it.
- 52:07Speaker 1: Up to you.
- 52:07Speaker 3: A that leaves us super super unreliable over here to
- 52:11Speaker 3: all of our allies, Japan, South Korea, all of these
- 52:14Speaker 3: actually massively important countries to the United States, China, Taiwan,
- 52:18Speaker 3: all of these problems that we're having. I was listening
- 52:20Speaker 3: to a Brandon Whitkirt this morning in an interview, and
- 52:23Speaker 3: he was speculating that it's based on some reporting or
- 52:26Speaker 3: things that he had heard, that there are Chinese and
- 52:28Speaker 3: Russian intelligence that are being shared could explain why the
- 52:30Speaker 3: Iranians have the ability to hit some of these things.
- 52:33Speaker 3: What I mean, can you put it out of the question?
- 52:35Speaker 3: The United States is basically doing all those strike packages
- 52:37Speaker 3: for the Ukrainians. We're spying on the Russians and then
- 52:39Speaker 3: giving the coordinates to them. Why do you think they
- 52:41Speaker 3: wouldn't want to?
- 52:42Speaker 1: And this is great.
- 52:43Speaker 3: They get to test all of our munitions, deplete them,
- 52:46Speaker 3: see exactly how they work, and strike at our capacity.
- 52:49Speaker 3: And what are we doing all of us for? I've
- 52:52Speaker 3: seen all this five D chess. Oh, this is all
- 52:54Speaker 3: about a message to China. This is what a joke? Nonsense, right?
- 52:58Speaker 3: This is one of the best things.
- 52:59Speaker 2: China that we're pathetic and allow our service members to
- 53:02Speaker 2: be blown up in triple wide trailers.
- 53:04Speaker 3: And make sup protecttionally right. And the Chinese are like, oh okay,
- 53:06Speaker 3: They're like this is great. They're like, we could turn
- 53:08Speaker 3: this into their Vietnam or their Afghanistan. Let's flood as
- 53:11Speaker 3: much of this as we possibly can, make it difficult,
- 53:13Speaker 3: bog them down. There's nothing they could want more. It's
- 53:16Speaker 3: the same thing that we used to argue about in Ukraine.
- 53:19Speaker 3: They argued it with some sort of deterrence. Nope, if anything,
- 53:21Speaker 3: it actually depleted as.
- 53:24Speaker 1: They already are admitting.
- 53:25Speaker 3: They are literally admitting the United States military that we
- 53:27Speaker 3: sent a huge number to Ukraine and we don't have
- 53:30Speaker 3: the capacity to backfill some of the people in the Gulf.
- 53:32Speaker 3: And of course we haven't even talked enough about the
- 53:36Speaker 3: hundreds of thousands, if not one million plus Americans who
- 53:39Speaker 3: are basically stranded all across the Middle East who have
- 53:42Speaker 3: no way to get out. The State Department is like,
- 53:45Speaker 3: is emergency trying to create an evacuation scenario now, and
- 53:50Speaker 3: now they're competing though with the military for military aircraft
- 53:52Speaker 3: to be able to use to get them out. There's
- 53:54Speaker 3: no planned evacuation as of right now, so we have
- 53:56Speaker 3: almost a week of hostilities that are happening, and people
- 53:59Speaker 3: are sheltering if they want to leave. I read a
- 54:01Speaker 3: story about some mother whare to take a bus for
- 54:03Speaker 3: seven and a half hours and it takes six flights
- 54:05Speaker 3: to be able to get back to Chicago. Can you
- 54:07Speaker 3: imagine that she's a pregnant lady, She's sitting on a
- 54:09Speaker 3: bunch for seven and a half hours from Israel to
- 54:11Speaker 3: Egypt and then has to catch a flight like to
- 54:13Speaker 3: nine different places before she can come back to Chicago.
- 54:15Speaker 1: That's one person.
- 54:16Speaker 3: She's lucky enough to be able to get out, So
- 54:18Speaker 3: think about the number of people that can't, with small
- 54:20Speaker 3: children or others.
- 54:21Speaker 1: It's a nightmare. It's a total nightmare.
- 54:23Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 54:23Speaker 2: Absolutely, And just to go back to that that article
- 54:26Speaker 2: about them, you know, rushing into defense execs and demanding
- 54:30Speaker 2: that they produce more is really extraordinary because also keep
- 54:33Speaker 2: in mind Trump was just posting on true social about
- 54:35Speaker 2: how we are stockpiles are virtually unlimited. We could do
- 54:39Speaker 2: war forever if we want. I mean, the man that
- 54:41Speaker 2: he is just such an incredible liar. And then you
- 54:44Speaker 2: see the panic behind the scenes of like, oh my god,
- 54:47Speaker 2: we got to get these guys in here and hope
- 54:49Speaker 2: that yelling at them somehow magically creates more stockpiles.
- 54:52Speaker 4: It doesn't work that way.
- 54:54Speaker 2: And somehow Trump I think he because he has faced
- 54:59Speaker 2: so many times where he is We've said it before,
- 55:02Speaker 2: he's like the luckiest.
- 55:03Speaker 4: Man on the planet.
- 55:04Speaker 2: So often things just the ball happens to bounce his way.
- 55:08Speaker 2: And you know, all the critics said that Venezuela would
- 55:11Speaker 2: be a disaster, but look, I couldnap Maduro and it
- 55:13Speaker 2: went fine. In his view, this was no problem whatsoever.
- 55:16Speaker 2: You know, all of the tariffs, they said they crashed
- 55:19Speaker 2: the economy, well they weren't great for the economy, but
- 55:21Speaker 2: you know, the stock market kept going up. So he
- 55:23Speaker 2: looks at that and he was like, they were wrong.
- 55:25Speaker 2: Everything was fine. I think he just doesn't live in
- 55:28Speaker 2: a reality where anything matters. So when he hears these
- 55:32Speaker 2: you know generals who came in and were like, listen,
- 55:34Speaker 2: we have no answer for these drones, these like thirty
- 55:36Speaker 2: to fifty thousand dollar drones that they can spin up
- 55:40Speaker 2: like crazy and produce mass quantities of We really have
- 55:43Speaker 2: no answer for that. Our stockpiles are already low. We
- 55:46Speaker 2: cannot protect all of our allies in the region, like
- 55:48Speaker 2: our golf allies are also running low on interceptors.
- 55:51Speaker 4: This is a bad idea.
- 55:53Speaker 2: He just does not take that seriously because he thinks, well,
- 55:56Speaker 2: these type of experts have said I was wrong before,
- 55:59Speaker 2: and I've always proven them wrong.
- 56:01Speaker 4: I know more about this.
- 56:02Speaker 2: And by the way, my friend Natania, who was telling
- 56:04Speaker 2: me that this is all going to be great, and
- 56:06Speaker 2: bbe here in DC all the time, talking to Trump
- 56:10Speaker 2: on the phone, talking to other officials on the phone
- 56:11Speaker 2: all the time. And when you have a when you
- 56:15Speaker 2: have someone like nat Nyahu and his government with a
- 56:19Speaker 2: really clear goal and a very clear ideology, and they
- 56:23Speaker 2: know what they want, and you were working on someone
- 56:26Speaker 2: who is as stupid and easily manipulated and without any
- 56:30Speaker 2: sort of grounding principles as Trump. That is part of why,
- 56:33Speaker 2: you know, from the beginning, I've thought that this was
- 56:36Speaker 2: very that we were very likely.
- 56:37Speaker 4: To end up in this place.
- 56:38Speaker 2: Not to mention the fact that in the first term
- 56:40Speaker 2: Trump was extremely hawkish towards Iran as well, that they
- 56:44Speaker 2: in different ways tried to foment a coup and a
- 56:46Speaker 2: regime change in Iran as well in the first term.
- 56:49Speaker 2: That was why I was fairly confident that unfortunately we
- 56:52Speaker 2: would at some point end up in this place, and
- 56:54Speaker 2: here we are.
- 56:55Speaker 1: It's really bad.
- 56:57Speaker 3: Let's put be nine up here on the screen just
- 56:58Speaker 3: to highlight some of the issue. Shoes about a broadening conflict.
- 57:02Speaker 3: So we had actually a very troubling incident yesterday where
- 57:07Speaker 3: it appeared in Iranian missile was actually fired at Turkey,
- 57:11Speaker 3: so at a US base which is in the country.
- 57:13Speaker 1: A US Navy destroyer shot down the missile.
- 57:17Speaker 3: But this was one of the first times, other than
- 57:19Speaker 3: the British military base which was struck in Cyprus. There
- 57:22Speaker 3: are NATO allies which are allready being ensnare now remember
- 57:26Speaker 3: I mean Turkey. This is a very difficult problem for them.
- 57:29Speaker 3: You've got airbases of the United States in Turkey. At
- 57:32Speaker 3: the same time, the Turks have okay relations with the Iranians.
- 57:36Speaker 3: They apparently summoned the ambassador over this strike, and there
- 57:39Speaker 3: was even some report that they may have had another one.
- 57:42Speaker 3: But they're also going to be very against any sort
- 57:44Speaker 3: of Kurdish uprising which is in the country. But you
- 57:48Speaker 3: can see how very quickly these things can spiral out
- 57:50Speaker 3: of control. Another censorship thing I want to know is
- 57:54Speaker 3: we haven't seen video of this, but Qatar, Kuwait and
- 57:57Speaker 3: others keep talking about Iranian fight which they're able to
- 58:01Speaker 3: shoot down, which come very close to striking us basis.
- 58:05Speaker 3: So that's very significant for a number of reasons that
- 58:08Speaker 3: they still have the ability to take off.
- 58:09Speaker 1: Let's say, you know, a couple of days.
- 58:11Speaker 3: Into the conflict, you would expect they'd be one of
- 58:13Speaker 3: the first things to go, and so far the air
- 58:15Speaker 3: defense systems and others have all been able to hold up.
- 58:18Speaker 3: But it only takes one for to create like a
- 58:20Speaker 3: serious mash casualty or crazy style event. Last thing on
- 58:24Speaker 3: here before we move on, we wanted to flag weird
- 58:27Speaker 3: incident B eleven. Let's put it up here on the screen.
- 58:29Speaker 3: This is from the UK media. They are saying that
- 58:32Speaker 3: a drone attack on their base in Cyprus. Cyprus was
- 58:36Speaker 3: hit by a shot head like drone on Sunday, but
- 58:38Speaker 3: confirmed it was not launched from Iran.
- 58:41Speaker 1: So where was he launch from.
- 58:43Speaker 3: And they haven't been able to tell us, so serious
- 58:46Speaker 3: questions here. Cypriot authority said that the assault executed was
- 58:49Speaker 3: an Iranian drone, most probably deployed they think from Hezbola
- 58:54Speaker 3: from Lebanese territory. But that shows that you've got drones
- 58:57Speaker 3: that are not just in the country, but all so
- 59:00Speaker 3: being able to spread out. Let's say, either in Syria
- 59:03Speaker 3: via proxy has below, they could attack in Israel, they
- 59:06Speaker 3: could attack other bases, other territories.
- 59:08Speaker 1: So that's signific.
- 59:09Speaker 3: I mean, what isn't cier It's hundreds of miles away
- 59:11Speaker 3: from Iran just to show their own limited power projection
- 59:14Speaker 3: and the hoo, these haven't even gotten fully involved yet.
- 59:16Speaker 3: Do they hand their hands on these drones and their
- 59:18Speaker 3: ability to try and go after the United States said
- 59:22Speaker 3: they were going to escort ships in the Straits of Hormuz,
- 59:25Speaker 3: that will put them much more in the launch range
- 59:28Speaker 3: of some of these anti ship ballistic missiles and also
- 59:31Speaker 3: potentially some of these drones as well.
- 59:33Speaker 2: Yeah, this drone situation, there's two possibilities. One is that
- 59:36Speaker 2: it was hasblah and two is that it was a
- 59:38Speaker 2: false flag from Israel, which I don't put either one
- 59:41Speaker 2: amount of you know, I don't put either one out
- 59:42Speaker 2: of the question, and both possibilities raise the raise alarms
- 59:48Speaker 2: about the escalatory nature of what has been unleashed here
- 59:52Speaker 2: because Iran has deployed this mosaic defense where because they
- 59:58Speaker 2: anticipated that you know, there would be an attempt to
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: decapitate the government. They really spread decision making out among
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: these different military units, so their military commanders are authorized
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: to sort of freelance like they have whatever is in
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: their purview, and they are allowed to make decisions on
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: their own independently. They don't have to wait for some
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: order to come down from the top.
- 1:00:18Speaker 4: What does that mean.
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: It means you've got a bunch of military commanders out
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: there who are freelancing, who you know, perhaps are firing
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: missiles or using drones in ways that if you had
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: a cohesive, like top down military structure, they may think
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: better of because of the possible escalatory nature. Now I
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: also think, I mean, based on what we're seeing from Iran,
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: that they have calculated that since this is an existential threat,
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: they also need to make the Gulf countries feel some
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: pain and recognize that this is a problem for them
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: in the hope that they will put pressure on the
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: US to pull out and end this war. So I
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: do think that is part of their strategy. And then
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: with regard to Israel, they have the same incentive to
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: broaden and spread this conflict. They want as many countries
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: engaged in this war as possible, which is why I
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: don't think it's insane to float that, you know, you
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: could have false whether this was one or not, that
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: you could have false flag attacks from Israel. We talked
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: earlier about that report from Tucker that you had Masad
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: agents in golf countries that were caught trying to foment
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: terrorist attacks or trying to commit terrorist attacks golf.
- 1:01:20Speaker 4: They're denying. Yes, there's denials all around.
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: But again, these are things that you cannot put out
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: of bounds because that is the interest that the Israelis have.
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: They want this to broaden and spread as much as
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: pot drawing Turkey in. Absolutely, they're all for that. All
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: the golf countries, they want them brought in, they want
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: everybody engaged in this fight because that's what serves their interest.
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: And so that's why, you know, the only country that
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: maybe even theoretically has an interest in not allowing this
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: thing to spread is US. But when you have the
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: Iranians and the Israelis both wanting this to escalate and spiral,
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: that is very likely what you're going to get. And
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: of course that is already what we see, you know,
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: in terms of the direction of this going, and I
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: mean from the US too, Like we sunk this Iranian
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: frigate that was over in the Indian Ocean that was
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: not armed actually and we you know, shot a torpedo
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: at it from a submarine. Pete Hexits was bragging about it.
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: We allowed, you know, didn't go and try to rescue
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: one of the sailors either, which apparently is something even
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: the Nazis did during World War Two, would go and
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: you know rescue some sailors after you know, after they
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: they struck their boats. But in any case, so it's
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: not like we're really trying to contain this thing and
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: de escalate it either, because that was quite far from
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: the main theater of action.
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: Yeah, actually, that's the submarine thing is actually kind of
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: a political problem in India.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: There's a lot of discussion around him.
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: I'm not sure. Well, because they had invited them there for.
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: Some nahbor life, so there was a naval exercise in
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: the Indian diaspora actually or sorry, in the Indian like
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: discourse over there, they're like, Hey, are we going to
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: allow this, Like we're going to invite people over here,
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: We're going to talk to the United States. They're like, yeah,
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: it was international waters. So we've had an escort. These
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: people saluted our own Prime minister. You know, they're they're
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: worried about their own threat to the prestieseers literally reading
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: some of the Indian papers this morning. So it's look,
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: I mean, it's already spread, there's a cut, you know,
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: literally insane to think about torpedoes being launched. They're saying,
- 1:03:11Speaker 3: I think the first time since World War Two, which
- 1:03:13Speaker 3: is insane. And yeah, I mean the level of the
- 1:03:17Speaker 3: level of how it's already spread and impacted global gas prices,
- 1:03:22Speaker 3: which are already ticking up. Diesel prices actually went over
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: four dollars. I think there was some reports about California
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: jet fuel futures.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: And others like.
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: The level of economic damage that this could inflict in
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: a matter of weeks is going to be immense, and
- 1:03:38Speaker 3: the President and his team appear to only be waking
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: up to that now. It's not as if they really
- 1:03:43Speaker 3: planned for any of it, by their own admission, and
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: that will only further extend let's say, the US military
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: having to escort ships in the Straits of Warnews.
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: So the Senate voted yesterday on this war powers resolution.
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: We could put this up on the screen. It failed
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: effectively along party lines. You had Fetterman voting with the Republicans,
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: Ran Paul voting with the Democrats, and so it failed
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: forty seven to fifty three. And you know, I think
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: it's I think it's noteworthy both that you had all
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: the Democrats except Fetterman hang together. But more importantly, you know,
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: there's been a lot of talk and you see a
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: lot of kind of like Magat influence or some number
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: of MAGA influencers. Megan Kelly, right, obviously, Mickfuintez and Alex
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: Jones are opposed to as you see some people like
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: that the war room people are uncomfortable with what's going on.
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: So you see a lot of like loud voices who
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: are on the right who are opposed to this war
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: with run. But if you look at the polling the
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: Republican base, they're largely on board with it. You know,
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: it is more of an online phenomenon the opposition than
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: the reality among the Republican base, which just says like basically,
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: oh Trump is doing this, so we support it. So
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: I think the fact that the Republicans hung together and
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: did not remember this is not even about like authorizing war.
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: This is a vote to say, like this power Russ
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: with us that even the Susan Collins of the world,
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: who is very likely to get her clock clean by
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: Graham Plattner in the Fall, even they felt like the
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: right political calculus was to vote against this. Now you
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: have to factor into that not only the political base
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: and the fear of Trump and his ire, you also
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: have to factor into that the money from APAC and
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: other ideology Israel lobby types and the ideology too. As
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: a great point too, some of these people just genuinely
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: believe in endless war. Many of them genuinely believe in
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: endless war. And so that's how you end up with
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: the situation where even though you have you know, some
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: seventy percent of the country that is like, no, we
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: don't want this, you still have every Republican Senate save
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: for Rand Paul saying we're going to let the president
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: do whatever he wants.
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: Right, And that is the scary part, you know, which
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: I mean, just stick on that. One of the things
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: I personally hate is people wish casting and all. So
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: there's been like you just said, there's a lot of
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: people that say, oh, this does to screw you to
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: the base. And I never use those words.
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: You know what I say.
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: I say it's to screw you to the country, because
- 1:06:08Speaker 3: the base is always going to stick with him. I
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: grew up in Bush Country. Five thousand US troops were killed.
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: They didn't care. Okay, they all stuck with him till
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: the end. He's my president. I'd like to have a
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: beer with him. You remember all that.
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: They say that until nine that's what a lot of
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: these people were saying.
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: Today.
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: They would all claim that they were all against it.
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: Not true, I remember, But that's the reality. The base,
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: they'll stick with him. Now the rest of the country,
- 1:06:31Speaker 3: independence the fifty one percent, let's sayho voted for him,
- 1:06:33Speaker 3: that's a whole other story. Those are the people who
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: are much more on the fence, people who are not
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: self identified actual Republicans, many of them. And one of
- 1:06:40Speaker 3: the things that can explain this number is when you
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: start self identifying other than as a Republican and then
- 1:06:44Speaker 3: you disagree, it shoots the Republican number support up for
- 1:06:47Speaker 3: the war. But let's not make any mistake that all
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: of these people are loyal to Donald Trump and to
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: party ideology itself. I will say in the Senate case vote.
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: What you see with the Susan Collins and the mccowskis
- 1:06:59Speaker 3: and all of them is I do I actually think
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski they vote against Trump all
- 1:07:04Speaker 3: the time, all the time, right, and they've been able
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: to survive. It's very telling to me that the one
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: thing they won't vote against him on is Iran because
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: they support the operation line. I don't think that we
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: can adequately describe the way that in Washington brain this
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: is a justified operation. To the extent that it's gone bad,
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: it's because Trump hasn't done it the process way properly.
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: Didn't they didn't brief us properly. It's like that's all
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: they care about.
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: They don't care about the fact that we're in a
- 1:07:33Speaker 3: bad conflict period, end of story. This is going to
- 1:07:36Speaker 3: be just like two thousand and four, the War Democrats,
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: they're already emerging and we're seeing some of this. And yes,
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: just like two thousand and three, there are only extremely limited,
- 1:07:45Speaker 3: extremely count on one hand, the level the type of
- 1:07:48Speaker 3: people who will speak out either against party or against ideologies,
- 1:07:51Speaker 3: say this is ridiculous. One of them is Congressman Thomas Massey.
- 1:07:54Speaker 3: Here he is let's take a.
- 1:07:55Speaker 9: Listen as to why we launched this preemptive war, and
- 1:08:00Speaker 9: it says we had to strike first because an Iranian
- 1:08:02Speaker 9: strike was imminent. Meanwhile, the Department of Defense conceded there
- 1:08:06Speaker 9: was no evidence of an imminent Iranian strike. Some told
- 1:08:10Speaker 9: us this war was about nuclear weapons, but six months
- 1:08:14Speaker 9: ago we were assured our last strike on Iran decimated
- 1:08:18Speaker 9: their nuclear program.
- 1:08:19Speaker 5: So which is it?
- 1:08:20Speaker 9: I think the most candid answer came from the Secretary
- 1:08:23Speaker 9: of Stay, who told the press that Israel forced our
- 1:08:28Speaker 9: hand and dragged us into this war.
- 1:08:31Speaker 3: There is Congressman Thomas Massey. He's going to be one
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: of the very few Republicans if at all, who end
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: up voting against it. And look, this is a valiant
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: effort from Congressman Massey and from Rokana others Tim Kaine
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: who forced the War Powers Act vote. But look now,
- 1:08:45Speaker 3: let it all be on record. It's out there now.
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: We can hold these people at the very least county
- 1:08:49Speaker 3: You did not even want to vote for the ability
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: to vote.
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: Whether this is something that you have an interest in. Okay,
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: we got you, We hear you loud and clear.
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: What's going to come next is this supplemental funding though,
- 1:09:01Speaker 3: that's the big yeah.
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: Well, and that is the purpose of these votes. I mean,
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: they're not even let's imagine a world where they actually
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: did pass. The war powers are so luge, it's not
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: like we really think that that would constrain Trump. What
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: this is about is putting people on the record for history,
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: so that forever it is marked down in the history books,
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: who did what when? Because again, you're going to have
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: so many people after the fact when this thing, I mean,
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: it's already gone bad.
- 1:09:25Speaker 4: I don't know how anyone's supporting it.
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: Already, but when it is an undeniable, complete catastrophe and
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: Americans reject it overwhelmingly in a way that is again undeniable,
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: you're going to have all kinds of people pretending they
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: opposed it from the jump. So at least for these politicians,
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: we can get them on the record. Where did you stand?
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: What did you do at the beginning? Did you even
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: have the guts to claim the power for Congress to
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: weigh in on this thing, or did you just say, yes, sir,
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: mister President, whatever mayhem and madness you want to do,
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: go ahead and go for it. So let's go and
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: put C three up on the screen because Tosaber's point,
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: the next battle is over funding.
- 1:10:07Speaker 4: Now, have you heard anyone in.
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: The media say, how will you pay for it? How
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: will you pay for it? The roughly billion, probably more
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: dollars a day that are being spent currently, the fifty
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: billion dollar reported supplemental funding that they're going to ask
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: Congress for. This is Mike Johnson, Speaker of the House,
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: as Congress will pass Iran war funding when appropriate. So
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: fifty billion dollars more? What else could that fifty billion
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: dollars be spent on? Do you have any ideas in
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: your head? Maybe healthcare, maybe housing, maybe education, maybe infrastructure,
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: you know, maybe jobs, all kinds of things that could
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: be done with this fifty billion dollars rather than you know,
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: killing little girls in Iran or risking our service members'
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: lives in the Middle East. Seems like the American taxpayers
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: probably have some better ideas of how they would like
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: these funds to be sent spent. And yet, you know
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: from the quote unquote opposition party to put this up
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: on the screen, Politico reached out to a bunch of
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: senators on the Democratic side to say, hey, you know,
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: you have expressed some concerns about this war, and all
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: of the Democrats save for Fetterman, have expressed those concerns,
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: and all of them, save for Fetterman, voted for the
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: War Powers resolution. What about this supplemental funding, Schumer, Before
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: you can feel satisfied about a supplemental and I haven't
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: seen it, you have to know what the real goals
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: are and what the endgame is. You see there, he's
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: not ruling it out. He's saying, Oh, we just need
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: war information, we need a better briefing. Okay, again, process concern,
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: not opposition. A Delaware Senator Chris Konz, who absolutely sucks
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: all the time, a senior Democratic appropriator, says he expects
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: a Pentagon will send Congress of supplemental funding requests and
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: vowed to quote make sure we are making all the
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: investments we can.
- 1:11:53Speaker 4: To keep US troops safe.
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: Kuon said the Trump administration needs to testify it an
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: open hearing so American people can get questions answered about
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: the failures in planning and that led to the sum
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: of the challenges, losses and mistakes in this war. Okay,
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: so again, process, they need to speak to the American people.
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: But ultimately he's going to fund it is, bottom line
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: what he's saying there. Our friend Alyssa's Luckkin, she said,
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: I don't rule anything out, Comma, I mean, we're in it.
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: Tim Kaine also said something similar. Though he's been great
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: on leading the push for this War Powers resolution, but
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: when it comes to funding the war that you claim
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: to oppose, you're open to voting for the funding of
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: the war. I mean, this makes no sense. If you
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: oppose the war, you oppose funding the war. It is
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: that simple. And so the amount of you know, of capitulation,
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: the amount of frankly ideological support from the Democratic Party
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: is insane. They are so disconnected from the base of
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: the party. And so with their vote on the War
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: Powers resolution, you know, the fact that they stayed lockstep
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: except for John Fetterman, that is a proof of how
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: strongly adamantly the base is opposed to this thing, and
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: not just from a union't briefs concern, but outright directly
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: opposed to this thing. They knew they could not vote
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: against this war power or the resolution because there would
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: be hell to pay from the base. You saw Mark
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: Kelly say like, I don't know how I'm gonna vote
- 1:13:19Speaker 2: on this thing, and I guarantee you who got slammed
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: with phone calls. And next thing, you know, guess how
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: he voted. He voted for it. So they are under
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: tremendous pressure from the base, and yet they think they
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: can get away with voting to fund this thing.
- 1:13:33Speaker 4: It is absolutely insane to me.
- 1:13:34Speaker 3: Well, you know, trip down memory lane back in seven
- 1:13:39Speaker 3: Nancy Pelosi. You might remember this where she tried to
- 1:13:42Speaker 3: fund the Iraq because it was right after the two
- 1:13:45Speaker 3: thousand and six victory for the midterms. Pelosi was negotiating
- 1:13:48Speaker 3: funding with the Bush administration. And what she did is
- 1:13:51Speaker 3: she put a withdrawal timeline on the funding for the administration.
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: But even that was something that many of the Progressive
- 1:13:59Speaker 3: Democrats who were inside at the time, so we're saying,
- 1:14:03Speaker 3: what they were saying is like, no, you need a
- 1:14:04Speaker 3: much faster withdrawal time like because they didn't want to
- 1:14:06Speaker 3: support the surge. Bush ended up vetoing it, and they
- 1:14:09Speaker 3: did eventually win that entire funding battle, which of course
- 1:14:12Speaker 3: kept American forces in Iraq. What they wanted to do
- 1:14:15Speaker 3: was they wanted to fulfill their claim that they had
- 1:14:19Speaker 3: right was basically, we ran on ending the war in Iraq.
- 1:14:24Speaker 3: And the president now wants to surge troops in Iraq,
- 1:14:27Speaker 3: we cannot then continue to fund what we ran against.
- 1:14:30Speaker 3: But the moderate leaders in the Democratic Party so called,
- 1:14:33Speaker 3: like Nancy Pelosi and others who became the Speaker said no, no, no,
- 1:14:36Speaker 3: we can't do that because we had to play ball
- 1:14:37Speaker 3: with the Bush administration. And so what they ended up doing,
- 1:14:40Speaker 3: actually it was kind of knifing what had happened and
- 1:14:42Speaker 3: continuing to fund that. Not to mention what happened with
- 1:14:44Speaker 3: Barack Obama. You're watching the exact same thing now play out.
- 1:14:48Speaker 3: Is you can't say, especially in this case, Iraq was
- 1:14:50Speaker 3: a whole other story, right, because we had our troops
- 1:14:52Speaker 3: on the ground, etc. Like you know, obviously many Democrats
- 1:14:55Speaker 3: had voted for it. In this case, if you're going
- 1:14:57Speaker 3: to be against it, then how can you continue to
- 1:14:59Speaker 3: fund it. It's ridiculous, right, If you're saying that the
- 1:15:01Speaker 3: best possible thing would be to force the administration's hand
- 1:15:04Speaker 3: by saying no, you can't have more money to continue operations.
- 1:15:07Speaker 3: You need to figure out some sort of diplomatic solution.
- 1:15:10Speaker 3: That is the best way to go about it. But
- 1:15:11Speaker 3: they failed to do that under Bush. They also failed
- 1:15:13Speaker 3: to do it multiple times under Obama. This is how
- 1:15:16Speaker 3: the biparts and consensus keeps going. And the more that
- 1:15:19Speaker 3: the money is flowed, that's the only thing that allows
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: the administration to continue to operate. That's the disaster I
- 1:15:25Speaker 3: think that we're seeing in all this. So we have
- 1:15:26Speaker 3: no war powers. I mean, Glenn made this point. I
- 1:15:29Speaker 3: thought it was so good. Is that when the Framers
- 1:15:32Speaker 3: put together this idea of the Constitution, they actually theorize
- 1:15:36Speaker 3: that the coequal branches of government would fight as hard
- 1:15:39Speaker 3: as they possibly could for maintaining their own institutional power
- 1:15:43Speaker 3: within the system. And they actually never could have imagined
- 1:15:46Speaker 3: that you would have an entire branch that would just
- 1:15:48Speaker 3: hold up its hand and surrender to what was going
- 1:15:50Speaker 3: on in the White House. And this is a political
- 1:15:52Speaker 3: culture now which has been normalized over the last twenty
- 1:15:54Speaker 3: five years from Bush onward because and I want to
- 1:15:57Speaker 3: make this the most, because they do not want to
- 1:16:00Speaker 3: bear the political consequences of their actions, even the Democrats,
- 1:16:04Speaker 3: like you're saying, Mark Kelly, you know all these ways,
- 1:16:05Speaker 3: but the vote for the War Powers resolution. But the
- 1:16:07Speaker 3: real fight is going to be on funding. The real
- 1:16:09Speaker 3: fight is going to be on how you're actually working
- 1:16:12Speaker 3: to make sure that this doesn't continue to happen. They're
- 1:16:14Speaker 3: happy to take the vote to tell the base they
- 1:16:16Speaker 3: didn't vote for it, but are you actually going to
- 1:16:17Speaker 3: do everything to keep it away?
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: No?
- 1:16:19Speaker 3: And then same with many of the so called anti
- 1:16:21Speaker 3: war Republicans. I mean, Josh Holly, some of these other guys,
- 1:16:24Speaker 3: they all voted for this. I mean, it's ridiculous, it's
- 1:16:26Speaker 3: I mean, this is the most consequential war vote you
- 1:16:28Speaker 3: will ever take as a member of Congress, at least
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: so far in your entire term. And you're like, no, actually,
- 1:16:35Speaker 3: not only does the president have the ability, we don't
- 1:16:37Speaker 3: even have the ability to weigh in. It's ludicrous, that's
- 1:16:40Speaker 3: all that.
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: Yeah, the only Republican voted against this was Paul And
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: then in the House you've got Thomas Massey and we'll
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: see if there are any others who join him whatsoever.
- 1:16:49Speaker 4: I wanted to show this as well.
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: This is a marine, retired marine, who protested in a
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: congressional hearing. And let's put this up on the screen.
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: Guys.
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: This is C five and you can see him being
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: wrestled out. That guy in the suit that is a
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: freaking senator. Shei he and in the process of doing
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: this and trying to remove this man who I don't
- 1:17:15Speaker 2: know if you heard what he just said there, he
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: said nobody wants to die for Israel. I think that's
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: a pretty salient point. In any case, They broke this
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: man's arm, including this senator who's for some reason gets
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: involved here with the police trying to remove this retired marine.
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: I mean, just just wild, you know, to see that
- 1:17:33Speaker 2: whole scene play.
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: Out, and you know, man reminds me of my childhood.
- 1:17:37Speaker 4: That's resolutely I.
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: Mean, a retired marine having his arm broken because he
- 1:17:41Speaker 2: says nobody wants to die for Israel. Pull the country
- 1:17:45Speaker 2: ask them, do people want to die for Israel? Is
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: that because that's what Marco Rubio tells you is going
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: on here. He said it plain that that's what's actually
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: happening here. Now I think that is not the entire truth,
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: but there's no doubt that the people who have been
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: the most relentless and pushing for this are all of
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: the most hardest core Zionists in this country, and obviously
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: the Israeli government themselves.
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: Do you remember Tim Shade? Do you remember the little
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: factoid about him?
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: Is he the one that got in the fight with
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: that reporter.
- 1:18:12Speaker 3: He's the one who with Megan Kelly got into that
- 1:18:16Speaker 3: whole dispute about the circumstances in which he was shot and.
- 1:18:22Speaker 2: Oh my god, yeah that's the guy. Yes, that's right.
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: Bizarre story Seth.
- 1:18:28Speaker 3: Was very very strange where a National Park ranger was like,
- 1:18:31Speaker 3: he shot himself and he claimed he got shot and anyway,
- 1:18:34Speaker 3: there's just saying the.
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: Bottom line he shot himself and then lied about it.
- 1:18:39Speaker 4: Is the TLTR that
- 1:18:41Speaker 3: Seems to be the evidence as to where things currently point.
