- 0:00They've written a whole dossier on us, which is kind of
- 0:02hilarious. A whole a whole one page how to
- 0:06get rid of moms from America in your school board meetings.
- 0:08Because it's very hard to marginalized us.
- 0:11It's a very hard to shove us in a corner and call us something
- 0:14when we're just there being nice.
- 0:16This is Virtuous Leaders, the podcast for based Catholics who
- 0:19will speak truth, do good, or die trying.
- 0:22Here's the show. You are the president and
- 0:30founder of Moms for America. Why are women America's last
- 0:34best hope? Yes, I wrote the book because I
- 0:38realized that if we're going to save this country, we're going
- 0:41to have to do it through the mothers of America.
- 0:43And it's why I started the organization, because America is
- 0:49every country is but a magnified home, and home is the center of
- 0:52society and mothers of the center of the home.
- 0:54So if we want to turn this culture around to get things
- 0:56back on track, I need to start with the.
- 0:58Moms. The moms are so central to
- 1:00society. I agree and I actually visited a
- 1:03big family the other day and it occurred to me being a mom must
- 1:06be the best job in the world. I would think so.
- 1:09OK, so there was that stint where I wanted to be Pat
- 1:13Benatar, but other than that, I've always wanted to be a mom.
- 1:16I've always wanted to have a big family.
- 1:19I have eight children, 9 grandchildren.
- 1:22We, we have a very close knit family and I will tell you that
- 1:28no matter what else I do, where else I go, wherever I speak, the
- 1:31most important thing to me is in my home with my family.
- 1:36That's the legacy I'm leaving and that's what I wanted moms to
- 1:39understand. And everything else we do is
- 1:41just is just extra, most important thing that we're doing
- 1:45is creating the future of everything in our own homes and
- 1:49our own sphere of influence. So Speaking of extra, you
- 1:54founded mods for America. So what?
- 1:56Why did you do that? What's that all?
- 1:57About well, I, it was really a comeuppance moment.
- 2:01I guess 911 was my wake up moment.
- 2:05You always, everybody who's who's kind of gotten involved in
- 2:09and standing up for, for freedom and faith and family, there's
- 2:14been something that's hit them. There's a 2020, there was a tea
- 2:17party movement with me. It was it was 911.
- 2:21My husband was an officer in the United States Air Force Station
- 2:23to the Pentagon. And it was through a series of
- 2:27total God miracles that he came home safe that day.
- 2:31And it changed me. I've always been patriotic.
- 2:35I did the fireworks, the picnics, you know, all the fun
- 2:37things. But I didn't realize what it
- 2:39meant to be a patriot till that day.
- 2:41And I realized the cost of freedom up close to personal.
- 2:44And that was the day I went from being patriotic to being a
- 2:47patriot. And then the next three years,
- 2:50well, I, I would have to say I was under the tutelage of God.
- 2:54And he put me in all the right places to meet the people I
- 2:56needed to meet, to have the experiences that I needed to
- 2:59have to be prepared for the time that he was going to call me to
- 3:03start a national organization. So we just one of the
- 3:07experiences that I had, I was I was at a town hall meeting that
- 3:11a friend had invited me too. And the speaker was talking
- 3:14about taxes and he asked a question about representation.
- 3:18And he said, well, how many congressmen do you have?
- 3:21And I said, well, how many congressmen we have blend.
- 3:23Everybody in the room started laughing and I couldn't figure
- 3:25out why. So when I got home, I told my
- 3:27husband what happened. And I said, I don't I don't get
- 3:30it. What did I miss?
- 3:31And he's like, honey, every state has two senators.
- 3:35They thought you were joking. I was like, OK, why don't I know
- 3:40this? And I got mad.
- 3:41And so I started studying the Constitution.
- 3:44I took Constitution classes. I read the Declaration of
- 3:46Independence. I would everything it could
- 3:48possibly get my hands on and realize that everything I should
- 3:51have learned in school, I never did.
- 3:53And so I started teaching myself and I started teaching my
- 3:56children. And I wanted to be able to share
- 3:58that same love of liberty, that same light, that that same
- 4:03passion for America that I had experienced through learning the
- 4:06the true story of America, that our history, our heritage.
- 4:09I wanted to share that with other moms.
- 4:11And that's really was what started.
- 4:14That's what started Moms for America.
- 4:18OK, So what? What is the mission of this and
- 4:21how do you accomplish that? Well, the mission is to empower
- 4:26moms, promote liberty and raise patriots.
- 4:28And we do that by programs and resources and events.
- 4:32We have local events where we meet with moms and we share, we
- 4:36just share the story of America and it gets them all excited.
- 4:39We have cottage meetings is our core signature program.
- 4:42It's like Tupperware for liberty.
- 4:43And we just, you just bring your own, you know, friends and
- 4:46neighbors into your home and you lead a discussion group where we
- 4:49promote the principles of liberty, the Constitution, the
- 4:52story of America in a way that that resonates with moms.
- 4:55And they get very excited. And then they want to get
- 4:57involved and teaching this to their children and sharing it
- 5:02within their communities, voting it.
- 5:05It causes them to realize this, how powerful their influence is.
- 5:09And then we have our school district ambassadors.
- 5:12We are training moms and dads. That's a position where both men
- 5:16and women can can fill. And that there are three 13,452
- 5:22school districts in the country. And we want to have a fully
- 5:24trained school district ambassador and every one of them
- 5:26creating a relational network between parents, teachers and
- 5:29school board members and and a counter voice to the teachers
- 5:33unions. And we, we are very excited
- 5:36about that program because it's making making a lot of strides.
- 5:39And then of course, Mom Vote where we empower moms to be able
- 5:42to vote their values with confidence by helping them be
- 5:45able to get registered to vote, know where their voting location
- 5:48is, and give them information resources on where the
- 5:50candidates stand on the issues that matter to them.
- 5:53Interesting, so you set up Moms for America Patriotism as in
- 5:59opposition to teachers unions? Shouldn't surprise many
- 6:02listeners, but I would if you could just flush that out a
- 6:04little. Yeah, so there are things that
- 6:08people don't know how the unions work.
- 6:11So when the National School Board Association labeled moms
- 6:16as domestic terrorist, people didn't realize that every single
- 6:21state has an affiliate and they're promoting the same
- 6:24agenda and the whole their lobbying associations is what
- 6:27they are. They disguise themselves as
- 6:30support organization, but they're lobbying associations.
- 6:32They're lobbying the union's mission.
- 6:35And our school district funds are paying for it, sometimes to
- 6:39the tune of 10s of thousands of dollars.
- 6:41So while, you know, we have to go as parents to the to the
- 6:44store and get pencils and crayons and paper for our kids
- 6:47to go to school, which is absurd.
- 6:50They're paying ridiculous amount of money of these lobbying
- 6:52associations to to lobby against the parents, to intimidate
- 6:57teachers and to harm children. So we encourage moms to go and
- 7:03to file a public records request asking how much of district
- 7:06funds are going to these lobbying associations and then
- 7:08have the money taken away. There are also superintendents
- 7:12association, so principals association, when all of these
- 7:15associations are out there pushing the union's agenda.
- 7:18So we make teachers and parents aware of that.
- 7:20There are also, there's also the problem of the unions where they
- 7:23get their money. They got their money from
- 7:25teachers. Teachers are encouraged from
- 7:28even before they leave the the college campus, they go and they
- 7:32have to spend some time student teaching before they become a
- 7:35certified teacher. You have to have a certificate
- 7:37insurance to be able to do that. So the teachers union comes
- 7:40galloping into the university before you ever graduate and
- 7:43have you a part of the union. They also have teachers who they
- 7:47use as incentive, incentive forces to go into the to the
- 7:53schools and they encourage or heavily encourage other teachers
- 7:58by fear or, you know, say you get these benefits or you really
- 8:02should do this, be a part of the team and convince these teachers
- 8:05to join. And then the teachers union
- 8:07gives them a subsidy they given, they give them a, a kickback for
- 8:11getting those teachers involved. So it's, it's the union is very
- 8:14entrenched in the whole entire education system.
- 8:16And what teachers don't understand is there not the
- 8:19union they are paying into, a union that is, that is dictating
- 8:25to them how they will teach, how they will think, intimidating
- 8:29and bullying them. And the only time that they
- 8:31support a legal case for you is when you are going with their
- 8:35agenda. And the moment that you go
- 8:37against their agenda, they're going to use all that money that
- 8:39you paid into them to fight against you.
- 8:41So these are all the kinds of things that that we that we
- 8:44teach, but we also help moms realize the power of
- 8:48relationships. And of course, we're justifiably
- 8:51angry with what's going on in the school system, but to just
- 8:54show up yelling and calling people to repentance, it's, it's
- 8:58not going to do anything. So we help them build
- 9:01relationships. We talked about the power of
- 9:02branding. We give them all the tools and
- 9:05resources to be able to go into that school district and be an
- 9:09effective member of that community where people will
- 9:11start to listen to you and not just ignore you.
- 9:14Wonderful. Do you have a sense for what you
- 9:17reach is right now? Well, we have well over 500,000
- 9:22moms in our network. We're in all 50 states.
- 9:25And well, I can tell you that the impact is been pretty
- 9:28impressive because the head of the Kansas Teachers Union was
- 9:32interviewed by the Kansas City News and she said that we fear
- 9:35Moms for America because they're moving people in the wrong
- 9:38direction. Great, congratulations.
- 9:42They're afraid and they should be, as Alex Jones said.
- 9:47Yeah, well, they've written a whole dossier on us, which is
- 9:50kind of hilarious. A whole, a whole one page how to
- 9:53get rid of moms from America and your school board meetings.
- 9:56Because it's very hard to marginalized us.
- 9:59It's a very hard to shove us in a corner and call us something
- 10:02when we're just there being nice and and stand with stand up on
- 10:06truth. We're we're not going to bow to
- 10:08the lies, but we do it in in a courageous and intelligent,
- 10:12articulate way. And when you introduce common
- 10:15sense of truth, it's kind of really hard for them to ignore
- 10:18it. And they're the teachers and and
- 10:21the school board members are like, yeah, that that makes
- 10:24sense. Yeah.
- 10:25So teachers union doesn't like that, but we're with.
- 10:28It what does the dossier say? Oh, it says all kinds of things
- 10:34that like moms, I thought we had.
- 10:36Sam Sorbel was on our board of directors until recently on this
- 10:40show too. And so they were, oh, she's
- 10:43awesome, dear, dear, dear, dear friend.
- 10:45So they were saying, oh, she's against public education.
- 10:49And she said this and she said that.
- 10:51And then they come after the fact that Lumps for America held
- 10:55an event on January 5th and 2020 and we were a part of Stop the
- 11:01Steal, just asking questions about the election.
- 11:04So they bring that up and call us insurrectionists.
- 11:07And so they put all they take take all the negative things
- 11:10they could possibly find. And now we're on the Southern
- 11:12Poverty Law Center because apparently if you love God, your
- 11:15family, your freedoms, you are a hate crew.
- 11:18So now they say, oh, and they're on Southern Poverty Law Center.
- 11:22So they say all these negative things and, and the school board
- 11:25members will read it at the meeting and people don't know
- 11:30otherwise, you know, but this a this is right now the Marxist
- 11:34call me this playbook, you know, call out the people that you
- 11:38don't like what they're saying and make them the bad guys say
- 11:41that they've done something wrong and everybody thinks, oh,
- 11:43they must have done something wrong.
- 11:45And when they start to see people, you know, disappearing,
- 11:49then they're like, oh, well, they, they must have done
- 11:51something wrong. And I don't want to disappear.
- 11:53So it's all bullying, intimidation.
- 11:55And it's happening in our own country.
- 11:57And people don't realize it because they think how that it,
- 12:00that it's duplicated in the same way every time.
- 12:03And it's not, you're not, you're not going to see the trains
- 12:07going to, to Auschwitz again. This time you'll, you'll see
- 12:10different things like people having their homes taken away,
- 12:14people losing their jobs, or they're having their, their
- 12:17companies shut down because of COVID and, and they come up with
- 12:21all these new ways to intimidate, bully people.
- 12:25The mom who was arrested in Colorado while her daughter is
- 12:29crying at the at the swing set because she took her daughter
- 12:33out to the playground and COVID lockdown.
- 12:37The mom who had her home, her door knocked down with a
- 12:41battering ram by the FBI for asking questions.
- 12:44I mean, I can tell you story after story after story, real
- 12:46stories of people coming after us just because we're standing
- 12:51up for our children and our freedoms.
- 12:54And it just, it's like really and just common sense truth and
- 12:57common sense. So you can tell that this is an
- 13:00orchestrated effort to tear down, dismantle the entire
- 13:03country and it using the same, the same methods that Hitler,
- 13:08Stalin and Mal use, intimidation, bullying.
- 13:10They the the specifics might be different of how they're doing
- 13:14it, but it's the same thing that they're doing.
- 13:17For each woman, you're doing such a good job.
- 13:20So I I aspire one day to be on the Southern Poverty Law Center
- 13:24hit list as well as the ACLU. And I congratulate you for for
- 13:29me reaching those milestones. Apparently we are over the mark.
- 13:35We're making, making a difference.
- 13:37It's it's just ridiculous when they, they start shoving you in
- 13:40with, you know, people who, who really should be looked at as
- 13:45not good members of society. I mean, you when you put us
- 13:49against Antifa and Ku Klux Klan, you're like, seriously.
- 13:52But the, the irony is Antifa isn't even on the hate lists.
- 13:55They can blow up the country and, and and terrorize people,
- 13:59but they're not considered a hate group.
- 14:01But we are so I I just said the the absurdity of the whole
- 14:07entire thing. But I have to tell you it when
- 14:10you know that you're over the mark, it gives you a sense of.
- 14:15Empowerment. To know that you are in the
- 14:17right direction. It kind of is.
- 14:20And and you know, the devil never sleeps and so we can't
- 14:22sleep. And my whole goal is to wake up
- 14:24every morning and put the fear of God in Satan because I'm
- 14:27awake. And, and you know, anytime they
- 14:30stay, it's like the, the, the movie Goris Gump where Captain
- 14:36is it Captain Dan, Lieutenant Dan, Lieutenant Dan is hanging
- 14:39from the, from the ship and, or the boat.
- 14:41And he's like, you know, and I, I'm like, I'm like, not today.
- 14:46So anytime the fiery darts come, it's just not today, Satan and
- 14:49carry on and, and, but to be surrounded by people in our
- 14:54organization and moms all across the country who thought they
- 14:58were alone. I thought they were the they
- 15:00were. Are they we the crazy ones?
- 15:02No, you're not. And no, you're not alone.
- 15:04And if you're seeking for that support, encouragement right
- 15:08where you are and across the country in this massive network,
- 15:11we invite you to join us. We are the ultimate mom support
- 15:14group and and we welcome anyone, moms, dads who want to stand
- 15:19together to protect our kids, restore the Republic, defend our
- 15:24freedoms. So there's a righteously angry
- 15:27mob listening to this right now, as many of them are, because my,
- 15:31my fans are really in your court.
- 15:33So what? What do they do?
- 15:35What's the next step to be a threat to the devil?
- 15:38Well, first of all, we have to be informed and I will tell you
- 15:41that that three years that I was under the tutelage of God was
- 15:43the most empowering, encouraging, fascinating thing
- 15:47that I have gone through because I got my history and heritage
- 15:50back. We've been, it has been stripped
- 15:52from us, our history, our heritage, everything that that
- 15:55makes us who we are as Americans and the light to the world had
- 16:00been stripped away from us. They've taken it out of the
- 16:01textbooks, they've taken out of the schools, they've taken out
- 16:03of Public Square. And so, and it's all about hate
- 16:06your country, hate your neighbor, hate yourselves,
- 16:08connect from your parents. That's the whole thing.
- 16:10They're teaching kids now fluttered with a little bit of
- 16:13actual education, but it's mostly indoctrination.
- 16:15Moms need to know that. And I'm not saying to we need a
- 16:19mass exodus. Well, OK, we probably could use
- 16:21a mass exodus for public education, but I'm not calling
- 16:24for that. What I'm calling for is that
- 16:26moms realize the powerful influence that you have and
- 16:29grandmas and that you need to be at least as much of an influence
- 16:33in your child's life as the world is, because if you aren't,
- 16:37you will lose them. So that's the most important
- 16:40thing is you realize how powerful your influence is.
- 16:44Next, how how do you exercise that power?
- 16:46Well, you need to understand who we are as Americans.
- 16:49What is our history? What is our heritage?
- 16:51I encourage everyone out there to get involved in the cottage
- 16:54meetings. You can do it in your own home.
- 16:56You can do it online. We have live cottage meetings on
- 17:01Zoom that we do throughout the year.
- 17:03And then we have presentations that have already been recorded
- 17:06that we downloaded that you can download and listen as you're
- 17:09walking the dog or getting walking on the treadmill, you
- 17:12know, whatever. Driving the kids to school, turn
- 17:15it on and you will be amazed. What we hear most is that it is
- 17:20life changing when you get this information back.
- 17:23It is so empowering. You're like, Oh my gosh, how did
- 17:25I not know this? And we help them understand that
- 17:28your rights come from God, not government.
- 17:31And and that is an empowering end of itself.
- 17:34And all of the presentations are all wrapped around moms and, and
- 17:38how we think and what we care about.
- 17:40So every presentation gives you a little bit more understanding.
- 17:45And then we have is 12. And then we have the Healing of
- 17:48America, which is a 16 part series which talks about, you
- 17:51know, what is the constitution? Why do we have the constitution?
- 17:53What happened to our Constitution and how do we get
- 17:55it back and, and it's all done in a way that's very relatable
- 17:59to moms and it's it is truly, truly empowering.
- 18:03That is where those are the two things I would start with
- 18:05immediately understand your power and influence.
- 18:07Educate, inform yourself on on who we really are as Americans.
- 18:11What is America about why it's worth fighting for and then
- 18:13you're going to want to fight, but you but the spirit will
- 18:16guide you and how and how you do that.
- 18:19We, we have moms who I mean, if all you do is just learn what
- 18:24America's about, share that love of liberty and the hearts of
- 18:27your children and vote, we win. If that's all you do, we win.
- 18:31And as we're checked out and we need to check again.
- 18:34But then in addition, you know, if you want, you can start at a
- 18:38liberty kids group, A patriot kids camp.
- 18:41You can start a, a book club. We have the the Cottage Meeting
- 18:46book Club. You can, if you want to, you can
- 18:49run for office if you decide that that's where God's leading
- 18:52you or you can help those who are running.
- 18:55There's so many ways that you can get involved.
- 18:57But gosh, if you share the story of America with your kids every
- 18:59night for 30 minutes, holy cow, you are laying the groundwork
- 19:04for the future of our country by small and simple things.
- 19:08Great things happen, and that's all we're asking is those small
- 19:11and simple things. And if each one of us takes that
- 19:14small little part, the ripples are immeasurable and the impact
- 19:19will be monumental. I feel inspired.
- 19:22What what? What is your religious
- 19:23background, Kimberly? I am a Christian, of course,
- 19:27like I most of most of most of the moms in our group are we
- 19:30have Jewish Mamas. I don't think we have any Muslim
- 19:35Mamas per SE, but that doesn't mean we don't.
- 19:38So it's really just having having a faith that will that
- 19:43will transcend you and your and your personal nature.
- 19:47But most of us are are Christians and some denomination
- 19:52or another and that deep rooted faith of understanding,
- 19:58compassion, religious freedom, our founding fathers recognized
- 20:02that and it was extremely important.
- 20:05So having a Christian background of belief in Christ is, is
- 20:09living a Christ like life, whether or not you're you're
- 20:11Muslim or Jewish or believe in him or not, certainly can't go
- 20:14wrong if you follow his example. That's all.
- 20:18That that is my goal, but I do want to make sure that people
- 20:22understand most of America is not a religious organization.
- 20:25It is also not a political organization.
- 20:27It is a principle based organization.
- 20:29And those principles are the founding principles which were
- 20:32the foundation of God, freedom and family.
- 20:36So what? What is your vision for 10X
- 20:39saying? Your impact?
- 20:44Well, I have a great vision on that one.
- 20:46So, so I have, we're a franchise model.
- 20:51We set up our organization like like a franchise.
- 20:53And if you set up a McDonald's and you have, you know, 2000
- 20:57customers to frequent your store, the, the, the corporate
- 21:01headquarters of McDonald's has no idea who those 2000 people
- 21:04are. So the franchise model is, is a
- 21:07good model for multiple different reasons, but being
- 21:10able to connect directly with each member and in that, in that
- 21:15audience that that franchise network is that's difficult.
- 21:19So we have come up with an incredible plan that is going to
- 21:24make it much simpler for mums to find us and to find their local
- 21:29group or to start one. And it's called the Mum's Town
- 21:32Square and it is and final development and should be ready
- 21:38by around October, November timeframe.
- 21:40And it did. That is going to be like a
- 21:42massively 10X because now these moms are going to be able to
- 21:46more broadly connect across the, the universe.
- 21:49We call it the moms of America universe, but also get connected
- 21:53where they are and all of the training resources and
- 21:56everything will be so much more readily available to them.
- 21:58We'll be able to reach so many more moms.
- 22:01So the impact that I'm most concerned about is how many moms
- 22:05we're reaching and how many moms we're supporting because that's
- 22:08really the role of the national organization is to provide the
- 22:11support, encouragement and resources that those moms need
- 22:14to be effective where they are. And we provide them with
- 22:17resources and and support that they wouldn't get anywhere else
- 22:21if we weren't there. So that's I feel are are the
- 22:24deepest most important action item that we do is reach and
- 22:29support those moms. Well then, thank you, Kimberly.
