- 0:00Speaker 1: The Mark Simone Show on sevenor well, it's gonna be
- 0:06Speaker 1: a beautiful day today. Price of oil up, a little,
- 0:10Speaker 1: stock market down, a little, price of oil up two
- 0:14Speaker 1: eighty two dollars a barrel, all right, that's up from
- 0:17Speaker 1: it was down around sixty eight to seventy. But it's
- 0:20Speaker 1: just like last time, temporary spike. It'll come down. We
- 0:23Speaker 1: are bombing the hell out of Iran every night. Now.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Iranians killed two US troops over the weekend. One more.
- 0:31Speaker 1: That brings it up to three. You'll hear the news
- 0:34Speaker 1: media talk about this day and night. Three dead. You know,
- 0:37Speaker 1: overall in the war, six seven dead. And they'll make
- 0:42Speaker 1: a big deal out of that. Now. Got to remember
- 0:45Speaker 1: during the Biden Afghanistan withdrawal, thirteen US soldiers were killed.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Do you know that during the Obama administration? How many
- 0:52Speaker 1: US soldiers you think were killed during the Obama administration
- 0:58Speaker 1: twenty three hundred, three hundred, no mention by the media.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Not a big deal to them. So but Iran not
- 1:06Speaker 1: only that, but the warning people they stay away from
- 1:10Speaker 1: US bases. They're making all kinds of threats. Now, Iranian's
- 1:15Speaker 1: missile and drone attacks stuck a struck, a nuclear or
- 1:20Speaker 1: a power and water distillation plant in Kuwait. That's very important.
- 1:23Speaker 1: These water distillation plants that part of the world key
- 1:27Speaker 1: source of drinking water in Kuwait, which is a tiny nation.
- 1:30Speaker 1: So they did hit that. That was pretty strategic. Iran
- 1:35Speaker 1: is telling its own citizens turn off the air conditioner
- 1:37Speaker 1: to preserve the power grid. I think it's hot here.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Try Iran telling people turn off the AC They blame
- 1:45Speaker 1: US strikes for the string. Now, of course they are
- 1:48Speaker 1: threatening President Trump like crazy. They even have billboards now
- 1:53Speaker 1: threatening Trump that they're going to kill him his family.
- 1:56Speaker 1: This is pretty serious stuff. Can you imagine why would
- 2:01Speaker 1: he even take this job? Now you got Iran threatening you. Now,
- 2:04Speaker 1: he said, suddenly, like a salmon rushdie. There's a giant
- 2:08Speaker 1: poster in the middle of Tehran calling for the death
- 2:12Speaker 1: of Trump. They're all over the place. Another one, Oh God,
- 2:16Speaker 1: has headshots of members of the Trump family, including Milania, Avanka,
- 2:20Speaker 1: Don Junior, on top of coffins draped with US flag.
- 2:25Speaker 1: I mean, this is just awful. They're also threatening well,
- 2:31Speaker 1: they actually said Trump is the next one after the
- 2:36Speaker 1: death of regime critic Lindsey Graham. So does that mean
- 2:40Speaker 1: they're implying that they had something to do with his death,
- 2:43Speaker 1: if they somehow caused it or poisoned him or something.
- 2:47Speaker 1: So crazy Democrats have got to do something about their
- 2:54Speaker 1: party being taken over by nutjob socialists. Who's going to
- 2:57Speaker 1: stand up to them? Well, Fetterman has been pretty good.
- 3:01Speaker 1: You know, when Mamdani made these ridiculous, silly, childish comments
- 3:06Speaker 1: about I'm going to arrest netnya who would just nonsense,
- 3:09Speaker 1: ridiculous stuff. He can't arrest Netanyahu and there's no such
- 3:13Speaker 1: law the internet. He violated international law. There's no such thing.
- 3:17Speaker 1: And the International Criminal Court in the Hague is just
- 3:21Speaker 1: a silly little thing. It's not a real court. It's
- 3:23Speaker 1: not even recognized by the United States. Their leaders are
- 3:26Speaker 1: not even allowed in the United States. It's just a joke.
- 3:29Speaker 1: But the one Democrat really stood up to Mamdani was Fatterman.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Give him credit.
- 3:33Speaker 2: It's such a tough guy to say that kind of thing.
- 3:35Speaker 2: He has no way to do that. Of course, obviously
- 3:39Speaker 2: America is not even part of that corrupt court, and
- 3:43Speaker 2: so he's just a clown to even say that.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Yeah, this International Criminal Court is a left wing kook court.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Follow it was founded by a bunch of mam Donni
- 3:53Speaker 1: types to go after America. That's why America doesn't recognize it,
- 3:58Speaker 1: doesn't submit to it, and most major nations don't recognize.
- 4:02Speaker 1: The i c CS not a real court. But good
- 4:06Speaker 1: for Fetterman. And he's the guy taken on the Democrat.
- 4:09Speaker 1: He's the Democrat trying to wake up his party.
- 4:12Speaker 2: If our party ever becomes and just make it official
- 4:16Speaker 2: as the anti Israel party, you know, that's when I
- 4:21Speaker 2: would leave because that's been a moral clarity for me.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Yeah, it's just ridiculous. And Bill Maher give Bill Maher
- 4:28Speaker 1: credit for standing up to the crazy Democrats. In fact,
- 4:34Speaker 1: mar in an interview said they've embraced a level of nuttiness,
- 4:39Speaker 1: of nutty stuff that makes him open to voting. He
- 4:42Speaker 1: says for JD Vance in twenty twenty eight, he said
- 4:45Speaker 1: the party is being taken over. Every day I hear
- 4:49Speaker 1: about a new very radical guy. I can't sit and
- 4:52Speaker 1: just not notice stuff which people seem to want to
- 4:56Speaker 1: do because it's all about my team, your team. But
- 4:59Speaker 1: it's some crazy stuff. And when they're cheering for the Intefada,
- 5:04Speaker 1: I'm out, so no, And he says, I'm not living
- 5:07Speaker 1: in communist America. I know that the talking point is
- 5:10Speaker 1: that it's not communism, it's socialism. But when they're talking
- 5:14Speaker 1: about taking over key industries, it's communism. There's the definition.
- 5:20Speaker 1: So even Mar standing up to them, good for him.
- 5:24Speaker 1: But he had a lot of interviews. Well, the reason
- 5:26Speaker 1: is he's got the Mark Twain Award. It's a big deal,
- 5:29Speaker 1: the Mark Twain Award for Bill Maher.
- 5:31Speaker 3: There aren't a lot of awards for comedy, and it's
- 5:34Speaker 3: pretty overlooked like in movies. But for what I do,
- 5:40Speaker 3: it's yes, the award I think to get. And again
- 5:45Speaker 3: there's not many for this particular brand of show business.
- 5:49Speaker 3: So I was very grateful.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Yeah, so they call it the Nobel Prize of Comedy.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Good for Mar. He also good for him. He's doing
- 5:59Speaker 1: an in PR interview and he went after NPR, calling
- 6:02Speaker 1: it an extreme, far left outlet. And of course the
- 6:07Speaker 1: NPR host you know, they always whispered, he's NPR hosts.
- 6:10Speaker 1: They always talk like this, And he said, I think
- 6:14Speaker 1: you'd be surprised at how diverse we are. I'd be stunned.
- 6:20Speaker 1: I'd be shocked if you were diverse. But he really
- 6:24Speaker 1: told them off right on NPR. Good and he said,
- 6:27Speaker 1: start engaging with the argument, stop attacking the Republicans, engage
- 6:32Speaker 1: with the argument. Hey. Also he defended Louis c k who,
- 6:39Speaker 1: of course was canceled, And it was pretty disgusting. He was,
- 6:45Speaker 1: you know, would get a woman into his hotel room
- 6:48Speaker 1: usually somebody's working with or something, or get him into
- 6:50Speaker 1: his office and then he would remove his pants and
- 6:57Speaker 1: masturbate in front of them. Now, I don't get this
- 7:00Speaker 1: fetish at all. I mean, he did it a couple
- 7:02Speaker 1: of times. That's why I got canceled. I mean, if
- 7:05Speaker 1: you're going to do that, you really can do it
- 7:07Speaker 1: by yourself. Has he ever heard of porn? I mean,
- 7:10Speaker 1: you don't need to have an actual person in the room.
- 7:13Speaker 1: And the strange part is he wouldn't just pull down
- 7:16Speaker 1: his pants. He would take them off, fold them, drape
- 7:19Speaker 1: them over the chair. It's just insane. So I guess
- 7:24Speaker 1: he deserved it. I mean, that's disgusting. He deserves to
- 7:26Speaker 1: be ostracized. But Bill Maher is arguing, and he has
- 7:31Speaker 1: a point here. He said he might have done enough
- 7:33Speaker 1: show business jail time. He understands canceling him, understands you
- 7:37Speaker 1: go to show business jail. But he said like regular jail.
- 7:42Speaker 1: There's got to be a limit. You know, this is
- 7:43Speaker 1: not life in prison for this. He said, this should
- 7:47Speaker 1: be like a ten year of punishment. He said, it's
- 7:49Speaker 1: been ten years for this guy. That's enough for this
- 7:52Speaker 1: kind of crime. You wouldn't get life, you'd get ten
- 7:54Speaker 1: years in jail. So he's saying, after a few years,
- 7:57Speaker 1: let him out of show biz jail. He said, you know,
- 8:01Speaker 1: he's got a very popular podcast in a popular HBO show,
- 8:06Speaker 1: and he said he brought back people. He brought Kevin
- 8:08Speaker 1: Spacey back and Woody Allen, and he's invited Louis c
- 8:13Speaker 1: k to come to this Mark Twain Awards. So he's
- 8:17Speaker 1: got a point. I mean, I understand canceling the guy,
- 8:20Speaker 1: but it doesn't have to be permanent. Just like sending
- 8:23Speaker 1: somebody to jail. You could send him for life, you
- 8:25Speaker 1: could send him for for two years, five years. So
- 8:28Speaker 1: good point. You know. Lindsey Graham, his sister has replaced
- 8:34Speaker 1: him in the Senate and now this is the temporary
- 8:38Speaker 1: appointment the election elections in November, but the governor points
- 8:43Speaker 1: somebody to fill the seat till January. But President Trump
- 8:47Speaker 1: surprised everybody, urging Lindsey Graham's sister to run in November.
- 8:53Speaker 1: He said, there's nobody better. He said, he met with her.
- 8:56Speaker 1: She came to meet with President Trump, and he asked
- 8:58Speaker 1: her for the good of the nation, to run for
- 9:01Speaker 1: the US Senate in the real election coming up. He said,
- 9:05Speaker 1: I hope she does. This is nobody better. Now she's married,
- 9:09Speaker 1: she as a family. I don't know what she wants
- 9:11Speaker 1: to do. I don't know if it's something that she wants.
- 9:14Speaker 1: But he's asking her to run. Pretty interesting. Tom Holman saying, now,
- 9:20Speaker 1: when it comes to ice agents, the problem is everybody
- 9:24Speaker 1: wanted to have body cameras, but you got, you know,
- 9:26Speaker 1: hundreds of thousands of ice agents. It's a lot of
- 9:28Speaker 1: body cameras, and you got to have a little training
- 9:30Speaker 1: to wear it. So it takes time to get them all,
- 9:33Speaker 1: every one of them wired up. But what Holman's doing
- 9:36Speaker 1: is they work in teams, so he wants at least
- 9:39Speaker 1: one person on every team to have the body cam
- 9:42Speaker 1: so people can see what happened in these in these incidents, Hey,
- 9:48Speaker 1: is this sleazy or nut sleezy? President Trump has his
- 9:51Speaker 1: own Twitter It's called truth Social. He started it now
- 9:55Speaker 1: actually at this point he owns I think fifty three
- 9:58Speaker 1: percent of it not all him, but it's his own
- 10:02Speaker 1: truth social and he came out with this thing yesterday
- 10:08Speaker 1: they had launched or over the weekend. If you're a
- 10:10Speaker 1: big company or a business or whoever, you're a hedge fund,
- 10:13Speaker 1: you can pay a monthly fee one hundred thousand a month,
- 10:18Speaker 1: a lot of money. And when President Trump is gonna
- 10:21Speaker 1: tweet something, you'll get it early before everybody else. And
- 10:26Speaker 1: a lot of times, if he's tweeting something about a
- 10:28Speaker 1: business or an industry or something, it can make a
- 10:31Speaker 1: stock shoot up. That's why a hedge fund would want
- 10:34Speaker 1: it early, find out before everybody else, because then they
- 10:39Speaker 1: could buy the stock. If he's gonna say something about
- 10:43Speaker 1: Tesla or something or whatever, you could buy Tesla real fast.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Or if he's gonna say something bad about Tesla, you
- 10:49Speaker 1: could sell it real fast. So it sounds like insider trading,
- 10:52Speaker 1: and you'd pay one hundred thousand a month for access
- 10:55Speaker 1: to this. Now to me, it sounds pretty sleazy, And
- 10:59Speaker 1: if you're the president the United States, you shouldn't. It's legal,
- 11:02Speaker 1: I guess, but you shouldn't be doing this. But in
- 11:06Speaker 1: his defense, it turns out now he doesn't run the
- 11:08Speaker 1: company and he only owns fifty three percent of it.
- 11:10Speaker 1: It turns out I didn't know this that other platforms
- 11:14Speaker 1: do this. Twitter has this service, so it's not just
- 11:17Speaker 1: some crazy thing he came up with. Apparently other platforms
- 11:20Speaker 1: have it. And if you're a hedge fund that if
- 11:24Speaker 1: you watch the show Billions, you know that's what they're after,
- 11:28Speaker 1: and that's what they'll pay for. Inside info, stuff that
- 11:32Speaker 1: doesn't public yet, get information before anybody else, that kind
- 11:36Speaker 1: of stuff. And these guys, when it's going to be
- 11:40Speaker 1: a tweet, you get it ahead of everybody. I don't
- 11:43Speaker 1: know what that means. Does it mean five minutes, ten minutes?
- 11:45Speaker 1: But hedge funds are equipped to respond in a microsecond,
- 11:50Speaker 1: so it would still help them. It doesn't sound great,
- 11:53Speaker 1: but again, other platforms have all been doing it, so
- 11:56Speaker 1: if that's what the other platforms do, his certainly has
- 11:59Speaker 1: a right to keep up with the rest of the industry.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Amazon is announced they're building a facility in Hoolebrook out
- 12:07Speaker 1: in Long Island. You know it sounds good. I'm building
- 12:10Speaker 1: a facility. This is Amazon boy. When they build a facility,
- 12:14Speaker 1: it's a one billion dollar facility. It's one hundred and
- 12:18Speaker 1: forty acres. One hundred and forty acres. Now it's going
- 12:23Speaker 1: to be a huge fulfillment center. They got to build
- 12:28Speaker 1: these all over the place. You don't realize what it
- 12:30Speaker 1: takes to get these packages to you. You order something
- 12:32Speaker 1: that's there the next day, it's a fulfillment center. Four
- 12:38Speaker 1: million square foot building, four million square feet this building,
- 12:43Speaker 1: the ceilings are seventy five feet high. That's because if
- 12:47Speaker 1: you've seen inside these fulfillment centers, they're just and it
- 12:50Speaker 1: looks like a Costco, but ten times the size. With
- 12:53Speaker 1: these big forkliffs that are all robotic, going up picking
- 12:57Speaker 1: up whatever items you order. It's unbelievb it's the most
- 13:00Speaker 1: advanced robotics you've ever seen, getting packages off shelves, putting
- 13:04Speaker 1: them into orders. This will be a fulfillment center. It'll
- 13:08Speaker 1: get your order ready and then it'll be delivered. Trucks
- 13:11Speaker 1: will pick it up there. And I listen to this.
- 13:12Speaker 1: It's not only four million square feet, it's not only
- 13:15Speaker 1: one hundred and forty acres. This facility will have parking
- 13:19Speaker 1: for twenty one hundred vehicles. Twenty one hundred vehicles. That
- 13:25Speaker 1: this is the kind of stuff you want because it's
- 13:28Speaker 1: great for business. But on the other hand, as I said,
- 13:30Speaker 1: it's all robotic. Normally you get a facility like that,
- 13:34Speaker 1: can you imagine the jobs it would create. Well for robots, yes,
- 13:38Speaker 1: a lot of jobs, but twenty one hundred vehicles means
- 13:41Speaker 1: drivers at this point. At some point those will be robotic. Hey,
- 13:46Speaker 1: Legionaire's disease, let me just give you the latest. They
- 13:49Speaker 1: are now three dead. And let me just point out something.
- 13:52Speaker 1: When you hear more dead, oh, another death, that's a
- 13:56Speaker 1: lagging indicator. That doesn't mean there's a the outbreak is increasing.
- 14:02Speaker 1: If you get Legionnaire's disease, it's going to be a
- 14:04Speaker 1: week or two before you die. So if if the
- 14:06Speaker 1: number spiking now means the spike was a week ago
- 14:10Speaker 1: for the disease spreading, it's actually coming down. There's less
- 14:12Speaker 1: cases of Legionnaires. As it comes down, the death number
- 14:16Speaker 1: will go up, but that's from people that contracted it
- 14:19Speaker 1: a week ago when it was higher. Hey, we'll take
- 14:22Speaker 1: some calls. Next. Eight hundred three two one zero seven
- 14:26Speaker 1: ten is the number. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 14:30Speaker 1: seven ten
